Yes!! But not always as sometimes I immediately forget to reply and when I do, it’s a few weeks or a month later skkshdk forgive me

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Biting Back in Anger. It’s Eddie having a bad day and blowing up at Steve, who leaves trying not to cry :)

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

uhhh most of my fics have happy endings but I think I can nominate The Tinsel Tradition. It has Steve, Eddie, and Robin building a home together in NYC, healed and happy in every queer way!

8. Do you get hate on fics?

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I’ve been writing more smut recently and exploring some areas. I’m honestly gotten more comfortable though it’s still a challenge to get the right words without coming off as awkward lmao. but that’s Phil’s (@theheadlessphilosopher) job 🫶💜

10. Do you write crossovers?

I’m more of a fusion au writer who borrows the setting and elements and places my blorbos in there than a straight-up crossover. Unless that counts as a crossover? Those two terms are kinds confusing sometimes..

There are a couple folks who played around this idea with me but nothing concrete. Though I guess Phil’s beta work can count because he writes better lines and scenarios than me

oof. I have a TLOU steddie wip based on resande’s sketches, but it’s looking unlikely to be done because the person looking it as my beta reader over got busy with other things and I’ve lost the writing juice 😔

16. What are your writing strengths?

Many people tell me that I am very visceral with my descriptions, esp with horror, and setting the tension is top-notch 🥰 (I am a freak who loves gore and blood tehehehehe)

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I have too many ideas and a problem to actually write what I want that it comes off as juvenile to me. I also have a tendency to gloss over the editing of my fic which I’m trying to break out of.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I honestly don’t mind it at all. However, I do get taken right out of the story if the language is written literally (like kanji for Japanese, Cyrillic for Russian, etc.) and not romanized when the character is speaking because that’s not how it works

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Warrior Cats. We all started our writing careers from that series at some point in middle school lol

20. Favorite fic you've written?

Noooo, I can’t pick favourites- I love them all equally. But FINE, I’ll say it would be When Life Gives You Pickles, Make It Into Soup. I wrote this as mostly self-indulgent because I LOVE pickle soup and is the best comfort food of all time. I think anyone making soup in general for their significant other if PEAK relationship goals because who doesn’t love soup?? Of course I had to Steddie-ify it

Me putting on my tinfoil hate to further say that having Vickie as Nancy's new photographer at the Streak would've 1. Been a great way to incorporate her into the story and 2.given Nancy a friend. (Like Nance takes her and Fred to Forrest hills Fred still 💀 but now Vickie is FREAKING OUT and Nancy is like pls calm down)

FURTHERMORE it's a given that stanky has to go or at the very LEAST Nancy is like my guy I am planning my life with Jonathan. But IDEALLY I would've loved to see them be snarky little exes who are playing matchmaker with Rockie

Onto blorbo (my beloved) the secret NYU thing is SO painful bc you've got the ACTUAL weight of things he wants to do versus what he thinks he HAS to do. Like you get hints of that in s4 but this would've been SO GOOD

OMG I LOVE THAT VICKIE IDEA!!!

The minute that I heard that Amybeth was going to be in S4 I freaked out cause 1. I’m Canadian and 2. I enjoyed Anne with an E and thought her Anne was great. I was hoping she would have a bigger role but needless to say I was a little bit disappointed when she didn’t. Her being a photographer would have been fun cause then she and Jonathan could have had conversations about it. Vickie is my fellow clarinet playing bi queen and I’m super sad that they didn’t do more with her.

My hope is that the S4 stncy stuff is a set up for Stevee’s arc next season where he gets over her. If they just put it there for love triangle bullshit I’ll be pissed cause Suffers if you want love triangle drama look no further than Mike! He’s got a pretty bizarre one going on atm.

You’re right it would have been fun to see Nancy and Steven be snarky exes helping out Robin and Vickie. I just hope next season they make Nancy and Stevens dynamic be that cause that’s how I view them in my hinge stoncy polycule where Jonathan’s in the middle.

Secret NYU thing would be heartbreaking. It would really bring home his core fear of the future as I think I and many other 17-18 year olds could relate to wanting to follow their dreams but being scared to go off and do them due to factors ranging from home life to just general anxiety.

S4 to me is the season that had so much potential but just fell short of reaching it. They hit some parts (ex. Vecna reveal, Max in Dear Billy, van scene, Byers bro’s heart to heart, spellbound at the ending) but in other parts they didn’t do very well.

2. Do you plan each chapter ahead or write as you go? 

I’m very firmly on the “planner” end of the “planner vs. pantser” spectrum. My multichapter fics all have an outline in a separate doc. It doesn’t have to be super detailed and I’ll also deviate from it if I notice that something isn’t working out as planned. But I do need to have a general idea on where the story is going, how it’s supposed to end and how I wanna get there, or I’ll give myself anxiety attacks. I actually wrote and published the first chapter of Hic sunt dracones without having a complete plot outline down and I nearly peed myself until I figured it out. 🤣

10. Cltr + f “blinks” on your WIP &  copy paste the first sentence/paragraph that comes up

The kid is babbling excitedly, but Steve can't make out a word over the deafening roar of his own blood in his ears, needs to swallow and blink violently to focus. 

16. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them?

Besides Hic sunt dracones, I’m currently working on my fic for the Steddie Big Bang, which I obviously can’t talk about yet. 😏 Apart from that, my To Write list contains four ideas right now, which are in various stages of being fleshed out. 

One of them is a modern AU in which Steve owns a restaurant and tries to seduce Eddie through food. Eddie, who thinks that putting grated cheese on top of your SpaghettiOs is haute cuisine. Or, alternatively: Steve soft doms Eddie into basic self care. (It would most probably be Eddie’s pov, which is a first for me, so I’m a bit nervous about it.)

32. Name three of your favorite fanfic writers. 

That’s a tough one. There’s so many amazing fics by so many incredibly talented writers out there and I don’t get around to reading half as much as I wanna in the little free time I have. That being said … 

Azriel Green's fame is well deserved. I’m pretty sure You’re Divine changed me on a spiritual level. I am always awed and humbled by how they use language to build scenes and atmosphere. 

Ayes comes up with the most mindblowing AUs, their writing style is absolutely beautiful and the stunning art collaboration with itskleo is the cherry on top of the sundae, really. 

Gorgeousgreymatter writes the most wonderful stuff at incredible speed and their smut is what I aspire to, honestly. They are also an incredibly cool person who I am proud and happy to be friends with. I legit died the first time they told me that they liked my writing. 😭

55. Of the characters you write for, which is your favorite? Has that choice been swayed at all by your followers/readers’ reactions to certain ones? 

Listen, there’s a reason why I have churned out over 150,000 words worth of Steddie fanfic and (almost) all of it in the same pov. Steve Harrington is my little emotional support blorbo. I relate to him on so many levels. I too, am perpetually stressed and lowkey annoyed, as well as a chronic people pleaser who puts others before myself, so most of the time, his perspective comes real easy to me.

Apart from that, Robin Buckley is my spirit animal and I squeal every time somebody tells me that they like my take on her.  

And, obviously, I'm beyond thrilled that ppl are liking my dragon!Eddie so much. 😏🐉

3 - What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)? I assume bc the post said ao3 wrapped that it's only about this year and that's a tough cookie because I am generally proud of all the writing I did this year like I have written 181k words this year. I am actually really fucking proud of I know I've kissed you once before (Can I try again) bc so much planning went into it and I genuinely think that the prose is some of my best writing and that some parts are such a good character study of Steve.

(disclaimer: i myself am disabled jewish gay and trans so most of this is projecting but shhhhhh)

Steve is autistic in the sense that he doesn’t understand social cues and tries to imitate those around him to mask.

His parents (barf) used to yell at him for his autistic traits when he was younger, thus he started imitating ppl so he’d fit in

He has problems with a lot of clothing textures, so he usually alternates between the same 3 polos and the occasional sweater paired with a pair of very comfortable jeans

Robin spots it a mile away

Robin is also autistic, but being a woman in 80s nobody cared and just thought she was weird

When they hang out its just them making weird noises and repeating eachother while laying over eachother

Robin is a bit better with social cues, but she doesn’t get when its “her turn” to talk, and ends up interrupting others or talking over them

She doesn’t mean it!! She feels really bad afterwards

Expect a million and one apologies

She also rants and talks very loud + fast when she gets excited. She usually stims when this happens, either rocking back and forth or shaking her hands

Nancy I’m less sure on whether or not she’s autistic but idc

She is autistic because I said so and also autistic people tend to flock together

She tends to be very quiet unless comfortable around someone

Almost always fiddling with something in her hands

Pens, toys, you name it

When she is interested in something she will spend hours upon hours researching it

And in random conversations she’ll just say something like “Did you know that pigs don’t sweat?” and pretend like its a totally normal thing to say

Steve is jewish

He never got to celebrate his holidays with family and when dustin heard this (i think dustin is jewish too) he immediately gets dragged into holidays with the hendersons

He complains but nothing makes him happier than the stupid plastic menorah that they light every year (“Fire is dangerous, dusty!!”)

Eventually Robin gets roped into it. Shes not jewish but she loved spending time with her friends

Very confused but supportive. (“whats with the balls in this soup?? IM SUPPOSED TO EAT IT???????”)

All of them have movie nights every week. Its called a movie night but its more “a movie plays in the background while they all comfort each other about their shared trauma” night

Eddie loves trinkets

He has multiple shelves filled with just little trinkets

His prized possession is a guitar pick he caught while at a metal show

Nancy and Robin pass notes with stupid shit in it during class (mainly Robin and Nancy pretending to be annoyed but she loves it)

Once they got caught, they had to read out “dost thou fancy cheese, fair maiden of egg?”

Teacher of that class now ignores their note passing

Eddie has chronic pain in his hands from guitar (same)

Steve cradles Eddie’s hands in his and makes him hold heat packs until the pain goes down

All of them are platonic soulmates

Steve and Eddie are together

Nancy and Robin are together

Constantly go on “Double Dates” and Eddie and Nancy pretend to date while Steve and Robin pretend to date

All constantly get drunk/high/both together and once more, do stupid shit

Like ride a shopping cart down a really big hill stupid
