I love it.

But if you want an actual answer from someone who didn’t grow up evangelical but whose mom was religious enough to make it very clear that she’d absorbed by osmosis that even though it was PROBABLY fine, she didn’t approve of me thinking my older cousin’s D&D stuff was cool and wanted very much to tamp down any desire I had to try it too:

Fundamentalist Christianity is fundamentally (heh) about the idea that there are two major powers in the world: God and Demons.

The demons are less powerful than God, but they make up for it by being slippery hateful little bastards. They know they’re going to lose the ultimate battle, so they do that thing where they decide “if im going down, those guys over there are going down with me” and devote the entirety of their immortal lifespans to coming up with clever ways to trick the humans into falling for bullshit even if the humans know about Jesus.

This is what most if not all fundamentalists think other religions are. Stuff demons made up to trick you into worshipping the demons long enough that you die before you realize you made a mistake. Because if you die without admitting your mistake and converting to Christianity, you’ve used up your allotted time and you go to hell, and you’re not able to avoid the same fate as the demons, and they get to feel smug about it, which is pretty much the only fun they get to have ever, so honestly I can kind of see why they’re such little shits.

But if that’s what other religions are, then that’s what other things are that LOOK like religions but aren’t, too. So D&D might admit “yeah there isn’t actually a Selune or anything, we just made that up for the story.” But it works like the thing the demons did when they convinced people to worship Allah or Mary (yes, a lot of these folks are so ridiculous about this shit they see Catholics as “deifying” Mary, meaning goddess worship, meaning a demon tricked you, and you’re making the real spirit of Mary sad). It must be designed to ultimately get you to believe it. Or at least to find it compelling enough that you get distracted and start listening to the demons.

The theory as i understand it was that role playing games were designed to be immersive, to get you to feel like your character. You were supposed to have so much fun in the fake world that you’d lose touch with the real one and want to become your character, which would open you up to the wiles of the demons.

Sometimes the idea was that you’d straight up become interested in occultism, wanting to replicate the use of magic in the game by becoming a literal warlock, that is, in hock to the demons, because God won’t let you do magic but they dgaf as long it helps them trick you into dying before you see the con.

But I don’t think thst was NECESSARY to the panic. All they needed was the vague idea that the demons are tricksy and sly, and if you get too much pleasure out of Demon Stuff they might manage to arrange for you to suddenly get hit by a car or something the second you think “you know, maybe there’s no Jes—“ *THUNK* “BWAHAHA WE GOT ANOTHER ONE.”

Which is why it was convincing to a lot of people who should’ve known better, like my mom, who usually thinks fundies are assholes twisting her religion into something cruel and gross.

Because all you need is that sliver of fear to get a parent who rationally knows “there aren’t demons” or “if there are demons they don’t intervene like that” to turn on the Protective Animal Brain.

Which meant you got people like my mom. No actual reason to want to shield me from D&D, but rules against it Just In Case.

I think we need to appreciate this part of Brennan Lee Mulligan's WIRED interview a lot more:

IZUKU MIDORIYA ♡ the man that he is. izuku for sure misses you as SOON as he leaves the house whether that be for a pro hero mission or for work, he is missing you. ♡ 100% is texting you as soon as you or he leaves the houses. like he is such a needy husband. he will conjure up a reason to send you a cute little text whether that be asking what you want for dinner or sending you a picture of a feral cat. ♡ izuku, when you guys are married, is not shy about how much he misses you. whenever people ask him what he's doing after his mission he will announce "me and my wife are doing..." like even if you're not a pro hero other pro heroes KNOW YOU because of how much izuku gushes over you ♡ heaven forbid he ever goes on a multiple day long mission or else he might actually call you all the time. asks you to send him voice messages of your day, asks you to call him so he doesn't fall asleep alone. sends you little videos of him going throughout his day. ♡ when he gets back it is 100% date night !! he will take you to a fancy resturant he saw, or he will take you to a cute little store and insistenet you purchase as much as you want no matter how expensive it is. he really just loves his wife.

KATSUKI BAKUGOU ♡ katsuki bakugou never misses anyone ever. if you ask him he will say he does NOT think about you during his missions because he is locked into his mission. if anyone brings up the fact that katsuki DEFINITELY stares at a photo of you when he's away HE WILL DENY. ♡ katsuki shows that he misses you never through words, but always through words. he will text you randomly throughout the day just things like "what are you eating? has to be better than this garbage ass food" or "found this candle that you would like since you like spending money on useless crap i bought it for you." ♡ KATSUKI FOR SURE GETS BUTTHURT WHEN YOU LEAVE HIM ON READ. like you're working and cannot text him back immediately? he'll respond with "guess we're just leaving each other on read then" or something like "damn guess i should've married a wall at least im not expecting a text back from it." like katsuki is the sassy man apocolapyse. ♡ he 100% buys trinkets for you that reminded him of you. a little stuffed bunny from the store? that's literally you so usually when he comes home it's with a few cute gifts depending on how long he was away for. ♡ the day he comes home is reserved for "miss you" sex and him pampering you and treating you like a princess. he will cook you a beautiful gourmet meal, present his gifts and brush little kisses on your face.

HIMIKO TOGA ♡ as stated previously. himiko is quite literally the definition of "i miss my wife" along with izuku. like she HATES going out of town for missions because she is constantly thinking of you, what you're doing, if you miss her as much as she misses you. ♡ pro hero toga would NOT take your blood and drink it to comfort herself (but villain toga for sure would), my girl is for sure bringing things that remind her of you. if you bought her cute little hair ties she will only wear those! told her one of the necklaces she wore was cute and she will wear it always. ♡ toga for sure goes harder in battles when she's away from you because she HAS TO GET HOME TO HER WIFE OBVIOUSLY. like she will not be dying today, her wife misses her :/. furthermore she is also constantly calling and texting you even if she's in the middle of battle, like she will have you on a phone call in her ear buds while in battle. ♡ "how's your day, cutie patootie?" and all you hear is an explosion in the background before you go on about your day. it is very rare that himiko is not only given out of town missions but also takes them because she hates being away from one of the few people who loves her genuinely. ♡ himiko is absolutely putty in your hands when she does get home, like literally whatever you want. she'll cuddle you close to her chest and if you see a cute pair of high heels you want she is buying them for you INSTANTLY.

HITOSHI SHINSOU

♡ due to the nature of his work hitoshi will not be texting you or calling you during his missions. he is very rarely on his phone because he is often doing undercover spy work, but please do not take that to mean he does not miss you. ♡ hitoshi is very soft; he is not used to missing someone so he is not quite sure what to do with the feeling of wanting you next to him and that usually manifests in him doing things that remind you of him especially while he's undercover. ♡ your favourite meal becomes his favourite meal while he's away, your favourite colour is now his, your favourite scent is now his. hitoshi will always leave you with a hoodie that smells the most like him but in return he's taking one his shirts that you always sleep in so he can smell you while he sleeps. ♡ because hitoshi does undercover work, he is often by other people. often surrounded, but if he's not and he's going on a mission with aizawa or another undercover pro hero he is bringing you up so often in casual conversation, someone definitely has to tell him to stop because he doesn't realise he does it. ♡ when he gets home you are not leaving the bed. he is cuddling you close to his chest, explaining the mission to you and absolutely forcing you to tell him how your days were when he was gone. he will buy take out and pay that twenty dollar delivery fee just so you two can stay wrapped in each other at all times.

SHOUTA AIZAWA ♡ shouta, much like hitoshi, is usually constantly doing cover work which means that it would be dangerous to constantly be in contact with you and he tells you this each time before he leaves just so he can remind you that he is not ignoring you; he simply has to be locked in. ♡ shouta does not text you or call you, but whenever he's alone on a rooftop or in his hotel room he will look back at the photos and videos of you two especially your wedding photos where you are just glowing. ♡ shouta for SURE has a printed out photo of you laughing at him candid on the wedding day. he has it in a little necklace that he can look at whenever he misses you too much. feel like if you have stuffed animals he steals one so he can sleep with it (not cuddle it), but for sure sleep with it. ♡ shouta also likes to buy little knick knacks for your shared home whenever he is gone. it's usually like a little special magnanet, a teddy bear to add to your collection, a snowglobe if he goes to another country, just little things. ♡ shouta when he gets home is usually dog tired so he will insist that you take a nap with him regardless of the time of day afterwards he drowns himself in domestic tasks; cooking, cleaning the home, doing laundry. all things to try and pick up the slack that he left when he was gone.

KEIGO TAKAMI ♡ keigo is in the very awkward position of missing you immensely on his missions and having absolutely no idea how to express it because he has never been in the position to miss anybody ever. like he is used to a solitary life and now he has a wife that he is missing? he has no idea what to do with himself. ♡ the first day of him gone he is playing cool and nonchalant. each time he thinks he won't miss you, but it's always something little and stupid that triggers him spiraling and missing you (usually a song or a smell) and he is spam texting you. ♡ keigo also constantly wants to do phone calls, especially at night when he is calming down and relaxing becase he thinks of you the most when he is at ease. call you up so you can fall asleep to the sound of his voice and so he can fall asleep to the sound of you talking about your day. ♡ he is also definitely indulging in buying you trinkets, but it's usually not cute little one. it's usually expensive necklaces, beautiful earrings/bracellets, and if you have any body modifications he is 100% buying expensive body jewlerry. he is a bird and showers his partner in expensive and shiny things. ♡ usually when keigo gets back it's late so he will tuck himself into you and sleep. the next day he is taking you to an expensive fancy brunch or if you want an amazing homemade dinner. literally he just wants to feed you and take care of you, he wants you to know that there was not a single moment of the mission where he wasn't thinking of you (without actually just saying it.)

The Bullying and Doxxing

It has taken me longer than I would like to put this into words, due to life giving me all the good things I have been working for at once. I am going to make this abundantly clear for everyone.

What happened to Idontevenlikedragonage should have never happened. Not because we are all rainbows and toxic positivity, but rather we as a community should never allow people to feel comfortable enough that they can dox someone. In my thirty one years of existence there has been one cardinal rule of the internet.

If you dont like something or someone's take ignore it.

At the end of the day we all like engaging with media be it on a hyper critical way or on the barest amount of engagement. However it does not matter if it is a survey, an analysis, or someone's opinion. You do not need to escalate to bullying them off the internet and doxxing.

This is different for real beliefs that translate beyond the videogame space such as Zionism, TERF ideologies, White Supremacy, Racism etc. That being said the more engagement you give a piece the bigger platform they have. The best strategy I have seen across social media platforms is blocking and not engaging period.

DOXXING IS ILLEGAL.

The fact this was done on Anon, very clearly illustrates that they know what they are doing is wrong, and they do not want to face the consequences of their actions. However, I am ultimately not surprised as to date to my knowledge this fandom has done the following;

Fanfics can fix things but we KNOW the only way Oz would have truly changed its system is for Glinda to stay and for Elphaba to leave.

Elphaba may be powerful in the literal sense, but in the metaphorical sense? The kinda needed to persuade people? She doesn't have that. People hate her.

But Glinda? She's not powerful in the literal sense, but metaphorically? The necessary power to get people to listen? That's her specialty. Everyone loves her.

Glinda had to stay because no matter how correct and truly good Elphaba is, Elphaba cannot get the people to listen to her. Sure, Elphaba (and Fiyero) have power over Glinda and were the catalysts of her be coming actually good and taking a real stand, but Elphaba doesn't have that power over people. Unfortunately, Glinda had to stay. The only way Oz won't shatter to dust and become better at the same time is for her to stay.

If she didn't, The Wizard would have succeeded then become the next H!tler and then people will learn he's terrible far too late. If Elphaba continued to stay in Oz, guns and torches will always be pointed her way. It's why she had to leave. And Glinda? It's why she had to be the one to step up. Yes, it's partly the consequences of her actions. But also, she's literally Oz's last hope. If Elphaba says "Animal rights" people will try to light her on fire. If Glinda says it, people will be like "Yes okay ����👍😄" and not bat an eye. Because people is where Elphaba falls weak but where Glinda is strong. It's sad, it sucks. And it's why Glinda can't go. She can't leave. Because if Wicked ended with her leaving Oz too, Oz will fall further into corruption. Heck, it would probably fall into war.

Elphaba and Fiyero don't have the power necessary to change Oz. Maybe they could have if they weren't villanized, but they were, and therefore lost all of it. Glinda was never villanized, Glinda was always loved. That's the reason that among the three, she's the one who has the power to lead Oz to be better, because people love her. They see her as GOOD. It's why she has to stay. She's the one people will listen to.

Maybe they reunite in the far ass future. But until then, Glinda is required to stay.

Looking at you strangely when you kissed her nose or babied her. His reason for acting this way? Well because of one single bite. Your bunny was quite introverted, meaning she did not like people other than you. So when you suddenly brought around a stranger. She was not happy. Your bunny stayed either close to you or on your lap. When Kaiser went to pet her… well he got bit.

You apologized immediately on the behalf of your beloved pet. Claiming she never normally lashed out violently.

The blonde just shrugged and ever since gave the pet glare when it got too close to him. Or seemingly purposefully stared at him when it sat on your lap. He swore the animal was giving him a cocky smirk.

“Liebling, have you ever thought of getting another pet?” Kaiser questioned laying on your bed beside you. Humming you nodded playing with his hair. “Yeah, I’m thinking of getting another bunny.”

Your words made Kaiser’s smile twitch. Another one? Seriously? He really didn’t get the appeal. All they do is run around pooping everywhere… and they bite.

He stared at the sleeping animal that was in its bed. Glaring. “Michael, stop glaring at her.”

Your bunny reminded him of his younger brother. The introverted and high strung personality the animal showed him sealed the deal.

But the way you not only treated the animal but the way you described it was what confused him. Why the hell were you shopping for accessories for the devilish thing? Sae couldn’t even get close to the bunny nor you without it hopping at him and biting at his limbs.

“I swear he hates me…” Sae would claim with an exasperated sigh. His face dead panned as he watched you place a bow around the bunny’s neck.

“Nonsense, he just hasn’t gotten used to you yet!” You laughed, waving off your boyfriend’s concern. Picking up the animal you placed him on Sae’s lap. The red-haired male freezing in seconds, staring dead at the fluff ball waiting for it to attack.

“Sae stop he’s not going to hurt you! He’s harmless!” You whined, shaking his arm. “Pet him Sae!”

He stared at you blankly, as if checking if you were being serious. Did you want him to be bit? “You’re not serious…”

“I am so serious.”

“No you aren’t…”

With a groan Sae reached down and stiffly petted the bunny. Tensing when the furry animal slowly stared up at him. Sae was sure the twitches of it’s nose were counting down the seconds before he pounced.

Quickly pulling away he averted his attention to you, his face blank hiding the uncomfortable feeling of the pet still glaring at him.

“See it wasn’t that bad! He loves you!”

It really cannot be emphasized enough that the recent comic was very transparently about misogyny and homophobia. It is about men's refusal to accept not only Mizi's love for Sua, but the fact that she does not like men at all. I is about the fact that her company is kept for shallow reasons outside of her control, the fact that Mizi is reduced down to her body (with the expectation that she'll offer it). It is about men feeling betrayed when a woman does not return their feelings, feeling they've been "led on" by a woman's smallest actions, and feeling entitled to some sort of "apology" for it in the form of partnership or sex. It is about the violence women, especially queer women and women of color, face for saying no. It is about Mizi internalizing these words she's been fed by the men around her; that she is "pretty" and not much beyond it, that she has been cruel to these men by not allowing them ownership of her, that their feelings are her problem or fault. This goes through her head as she holds onto Till's dead body, one of the men around her whose feelings she did not return, someone she believes she's "failed" or "wronged" somehow. I do not think the timing of it dropping during Pride nor the mocking phrasing of "I'm so proud of you" are particularly coincidence, either.

That being said, I really need everyone to watch their wording when discussing it. Calling Mizi "manipulative" only echoes the sentiment of that shitbag NPC who literally hate crimed her. There is nothing "manipulative" about Mizi telling the boys around her she lacks interest. And there is nothing wrong with her overlooking the feelings of boys around her when turning someone down, as she has previously seen, could lead to harm being done to her. She is not going around Anakt breaking hearts for fun. She does not want them to feel anything for her in the first place. She wants to be left alone.

It is true that Mizi hid a lot of her despair, when she experienced it, from others. Protection from her friends and secrets kept from her could only go so far. She was not as happy, or as safe, as they thought. She just put on a facade for those around her to find comfort in when it did not come to her naturally, and in hopes that she herself could believe it. She became what others needed her to be, and what they needed her to be was pretty, and docile, and happy. But I am BEGGING everyone to think of the implications of calling Mizi "manipulative" or god forbid "evil" in referral to this comic when a major part of it revolves around her experiences with what she feels she owes others romantically, and how she blames herself for what she by no means is responsible for. The point is not that she has "used" these people. It is not that she has "led them on" in some way. It is that she has been taught to be responsible for the state of those around her, and as the sole survivor, it is crushing her. She makes herself out to be worse than she is because her perception of herself and those around her have been warped by loss. Not every character needs to be some twist villain. PLEASE be mindful that what Mizi experienced in that comic happens to women in our own society constantly.

As much as this scene is fun from an outside perspective if you think about it in-universe its SO off?

Toriel dropping her responsibilities to get drunk and party is really concerning (she cancelled choir practice for this- she uses the rain as an excuse, but admits later that it was just so she could hang out with Sans)

And I got red flags and alarm bells when Sans brushed off Susie being uncomfortable and leaving- I literally went ooh .... I don't know if I like DR Sans buddy that does not come off very good...

Like yes this scene is fun for us as the players who know and love these characters from Undertale- even as someone who never felt strongly about Soriel I have to admit it did sway me somewhat! But at the same time, as soon as you read into it from an in-universe perspective it doesn't feel as good anymore.

Now if I were to try to devil's advocate excuse their behavior, I'd say Toriel is going through a lot of stress right now- Asgore is borderline harassing her constantly to try to win her back despite how clear she's made it that she's not interested, so this could be a sort of way for her to regain her sense of independence. Like, 'I can make my own decisions about who I spend my time with'. Even if it's not a healthy choice (which, depending on how it goes, Sans might not be) it's still her getting to make that choice for herself, sort of giving the middle finger to Asgore and saying 'you aren't in charge of me anymore, I can do what I want, you can't make me go back to you'.

Sans... I don't know that he has an excuse for being so dismissive and irresponsible. We know very little about him & his home life in DR so far, which makes it hard to reason his behavior. I can't imagine running a store is a walk in the park, but I don't feel like the stress of that alone is really enough to warrant being so dismissive of other people (Susie)'s feelings. I hate to say it, but it might just be a product of who he is as a person in DR; he doesn't really seem care about anyone but him & Papyrus & what makes them happy, but mostly what makes him happy. He's always been sort of lazy and self centered, depending on how you interpret things (doesn't take action until he has literally no other choice; he won't fight you unless you hardcore COMMIT to being awful 100% in UT). This could just be nihilism in UT, but it's still worth taking into consideration.

Anyway. All that being said. I don't have a problem with people using the scene as a cutesy fanart opportunity, but I do think it's important to always consider the deeper implications

I need to talk about that ending.

Correction- WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THAT ENDING-

This is…such a genius scene that seems so simple, but HAS SO MUCH BAGGAGE WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT. When I first saw it I felt the weirdest combination of emotions ive ever felt in my entire life and now I can’t stop thinking about this moment, so heres an attempt at putting those thoughts into words!

What makes it so interesting is that… yes, it is VERY FUNNY, AND an epic win for Soriel shippers…but…it feels so WRONG,

Kris and Susie were presumed MISSING well into the night, and Toriel seems to not even notice because of her drunkenness. Its incredibly irresponsible on her half, as she’s so distracted by “just having a little fun” (Queen Mom theorists be winning, Toriel has a drinking problem confirmed/hj)

The entire time I was laughing while going “oooooo….” Toriel thats not it girl. And when Susie left, the way Sans completely dismissed her and went “party back on yippee” also felt very off. Kris’ reaction to everyhing makes me so sad and put on edge by the whole thing, IT IS A GREAT SET UP TO THEIR OPINION ON THEIR HOME LIFE, THATS FOR SURE. At some point when Susie looks at Kris, they look away too, and when Toriel falls down they just walk away and refuse to go anywhere but their bedroom. which is just UGHHH I feel so bad for them, they’re tired of this shit

AND DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON PAPYRUS- This bits more my own biases, but it makes me sad imagining him being all alone in a messy house all night like this poor bastard 😭

theres just SO MUCH TENSION from Kris’ end, its so…ugh. The entire thing screams irresponsibility. It is insane tonal whiplash, but not for the funny reasons some may think on first viewing i think. From my perspective it went from somber pain, to more like…oh god. this sucks. so hard.

My opinion on Soriel has never been strong in either direction, but now I am just FASCINATED cause from this scene it feels like- toxic??? they’re enabling each others bad habits, like on the surface it seems innocent but in hindsight its incredibly irresponsible on Toriels half, and only maybe on Sans’, we still dont know his and Papyrus’ whole situation or anything.

There is so much to love about Sinners, but one of my favorite parts was the running theme of flipping the table on static storytelling tropes. And my favorite out of that pile?

Christianity is not the Magical Universal Good That Keeps the Monsters at Bay, and Hoodoo—or, nodding to cinema history, [INSERT ANY NON-CHRISTIAN FAITH HERE]—is not the Weird and Wicked Supernatural Scary Evil, Only Here for Curses and Pearl-Clutching Taboos.

In Sinners, Christianity isn’t held up as an evil in itself, but it is held up as itself, specifically as it actually came to be when it was introduced (forced) onto those people who never asked for it, didn’t want it, and had gods and cultures of their own which were largely crushed underfoot by colonialism and doctrines that generations were forced to choke down to the point that modern descendants now follow and spout a religion their ancestors had to have slaughtered or beaten into them. Remmick, an Irish vampire revealed as being old enough to have been a young man in an era before Ireland had been overtaken by Christianity, at the cusp of having it forced on them while their land and rights were stolen, can recite the Lord’s Prayer verbatim. Those words not only do nothing against his vampiric nature, but he admits the words give him comfort, even as he still hates the men who forced those words upon him and his father.

That scene coupled with Sammie’s interaction with his own father in the church was so beautifully and insidiously vindicating. Because Remmick and Sammie’s father are both leading congregations. They both have these groups of people following along, reciting what they want those groups to recite—even as they both come from groups that this religion was forcibly grafted into, they stand in places of power and command, and therefore it has become good! They both want Sammie to use his musical gift for their purposes, not his own wishes. They both disregard his fear and pain as they lay hands on him before staring crowds who wait to see him bow to their will.

Vampirism is the greater existential terror, especially as it is under Remmick’s rule. A potentially eternal undeath that traps the spirit and has one single controlling mind puppeteering their body and will. But Christianity as it’s framed in the reality of Sammie’s life is shown explicitly not to be the savior of the story, having so many of the same bones as the nightmare he barely escaped with his life.

Give up your gift and your desires and your free will to the Church, son, it’s the only way! Be a lesson for my followers and then we can acknowledge your torn face and the blood on your clothes and the absence of your cousins! Drop the guitar and give yourself to worship and leave behind all the evil sin that is joy not taken from sitting and reciting the Bible! Drop the guitar, son!

Then we turn to the Hoodoo and to Sammie’s musical conjuring. Annie’s magic and expertise is the only reason anyone survived the night as long as they did, and the only reason anybody was lucky enough to die as a human being. Her mojo bag saved Smoke’s neck from Stack twice, whereas everyone who went outside and got jumped by Remmick—or, in Grace’s case, rushed out in a literal blaze of glory to stake her turned husband—who might have worn a cross or been some manner of churchgoer, all got taken out by the vampires. Sammie’s power is not part of a Christian magic, but as the film points out, it is sacred. Those strings and his song pulled reveling spirits from the past and the future to dance with the present. That passion, that talent, that joy, that humanity, was so magnetic that it cast a spell...

…and it did so in what his father and many aghast others would deem a den of sin.

Sinful because of dance. Because of games at a table. Because of sex had for the sake of pleasuring each other—notably, each time with a miserably married woman, both getting to experience lovers who actually wanted them to enjoy themselves (sorry about that climax, Stack), rather than rote marital rutting for its own joyless sake. Because of nocturnal jubilation, separating oneself from the labors of life and the constriction of ‘polite and upstanding’ society.

Raucous joy is sin.

Faiths other and older than Christianity are sin.

Refusing to let yourself be absorbed into a coercive collective, no matter how well it sings or friendly its smile, is sin.       

Sin, sin, sin. The movie sins in this way, and so many glorious others, if only because these things which are not evil are painted with the label of ‘sin.’ Things that ‘are not done’ in a civilization choked by white supremacy and an increasingly puritanical Christian lens that leans deeper and deeper into disdain for empathy while championing strict control and obedience to patriarchy, bastardizing itself even as its original messages of love and goodwill are stretched so far and thin as to be nonexistent.

It’s sad to know how timely this story is. Here we are in the 21st century, strangled by conservative overreach on so many monstrous levels. But the story of Sinners does exist and it is being played like a loud and joyous song. A thousand thanks to Ryan Coogler for doing this all so artfully and so powerfully. I honestly can’t recall the last time I’ve seen such a thing on screen, if I’ve seen it at all. Here’s to more of it.

this narrative that people are running about the uconn social media manager not posting azzi needs to stop. it’s actually so childish and unnecessary. maybe it might seem like she gets posted less BECAUSE she’s the one you’re all looking for in uconn’s posts, but please be serious for one second because there’s no reason that the admin should not be posting the new guys. true deserve the exposure too and it’s not some hidden agenda about azzi. that stuff about uconn posting when kk went to the game and when the team went to mohegan? kk was front row with drew, both decked out in dallas gear. the team was in mohegan WITH the uconn media team in the building supporting her too. of course they’re going to post about that. azzi being in the middle of the crowd for one game and not wearing dallas gear in the other just isn’t something that’s necessary to post especially with how busy she was at both games. not only that, but she also got plenty of exposure from every sports account and got interviewed and shouted out during the wings games themselves unlike the rest. she does not need to be in the spotlight ALL THE TIME for the uconn page, and i’m saying that with her being my favorite player on the team. hating on the media team that azzi is literally close friends with is insane

Neve was a patient woman; she would wait until Lilya was ready to talk before saying anything. She had to be willing to wait in her profession; not all cases were open and shut within a day. Unfortunately, some cases took months to crack. This latest stuff with Aelia and Dock Town… urgh… No. She was not going to think about that witch any more than she had to. The detective wrapped her arms around Lilya, who was lightly shivering in the evening air, the autumn chill biting through her even with the tequila swimming through her veins, the two women huddling together for warmth, reminding Neve of their late nights trawling through different clubs in their youth and never remembering to wear jackets. Apparently, neither had grown wiser as they grew older. 

Lilya pressed her cheek against Neve’s as she tightened her hold around her waist, desperate to siphon every bit of her friend’s body heat for herself, ignoring the way the taller woman laughed at her. “I can’t believe I did that, that was just so humiliating.”  Neve squeezed Lilya in return and comfortingly rubbed her back. “Oh, don’t worry, no one else noticed. Everyone’s too wrapped up in their own stuff to worry about anyone else.”  “But I know what I did, I’ll remember it,” she whined, burying her face in her friend’s collar. “Impulse control- gone. Reasoning- non-existent. Judgment- fucked from here to kingdom come. You should just put me in solitary for the next year and let me think about what I’ve done for a good long time, to make sure I don’t go terrorising random innocent people at night and try to mount them.”

Neve snorted and pushed away from Lilya, the latter moaning the loss of warmth instantly. “People, you say. Well, those particular people, you somehow managed to entangle yourself with, in the blink of an eye, looked mighty similar there, Lil. Seems you got yourself a type.” 

Lilya was half-tempted to stomp her foot like a petulant child, but she wasn’t quite that drunk yet. Sometimes she really hated Neve’s perspicacity and frankness; between her and Teia, she never had any peace. As good a reason as any to never let them hang out together. 

“Is this because of that night you spent with that guy a while back? I remember you telling me he was all god-like bone structure, a smile that made you feel like he was already inside of you and so beautiful it made you want to cry whenever you thought about him,” she ribbed, lighting a cigarette and checking her phone to see how long their Uber would be. Her eyes flicked back up to Lilya, who had turned a vivid shade of pink as she recalled their conversation one week after their encounter. 

“I told you that in confidence, whilst I was not exactly sober for your compassion, not for you to use as ammunition to call me out for fun at your leisure!” 

“…Do you even realise who you’re talking to here, Lil?” 

“I need new friends.” 

“You need to get over this little infatuation of yours.” 

“I was trying to, then you pulled the first guy away-”

“ He was my CI! A literal criminal, Lil!” 

“He was quite gentlemanly for a criminal.” 

“He’s a professional con-man.” 

“Who can kiss.” 

“The second one looked like he could, too-”

“He can.” 

Neve paused. She was certain that she had stopped her from kissing that other handsome stranger. How could she possibly know… “Shit. Lilya… that second guy. That’s the guy, isn’t it? The one you’ve been trying to get over.” Her silence was all the answer she needed; the detective cackled at her friend’s obvious discomfort. “Oh, this is too good. Better than any trashy stories from back home, I am positively living . Please continue, give Aunty Neve all the sordid details of how he found you here and what you would have done if I hadn’t interrupted you. Leave nothing out. We have another 5 minutes before our ride is here.” 

Lilya glowered at her, tempted to beat Neve to death with her own prosthetic- just to buy enough time to avoid revealing all the gritty particulars she’d been longing to share. Nonetheless, she knew she’d be dreaming of their almost-kiss for days to come. Her skin burned with the memory of his lips under her fingertips, along her ear, and the strength in his hands as he held her body to his. Her heart was already fluttering at the most basic of recollections. If she even dared to tell Neve the things she thought about him, what she wanted to do to him and with him? She’d probably come on the spot and then die from embarrassment. And if she didn’t, Neve would make sure to put her in the coffin herself with her never-ending, sarcastic quips.  She had finally managed to string the words together to tell her to shut up and mind her own damn business when the very hands she’d been fantasising about brushed her shoulders and slid down her arms. Lilya’s eyes snapped to Neve to check if it was all in her head- but judging by her bugged-out stare, it wasn’t just some intense daydream.

“This won’t do,” he tutted against her temple, his fingers caressing the smooth skin along her biceps as he huffed out his approval. “You’re so cold, Doc. We can’t have that.” He trailed his fingertips down her arms, thrilled by the gooseflesh that rose at her nape. It took everything in him not to run his lips over it and up her neck, to make the rest of her body tingle with his kisses- but her friend looked like she’d probably burn his eyes out if he tried anything more than what she already allowed with her friend.

Illario shrugged off his jacket and carefully draped it over her shoulders, his hands running down the line of her arms once more, firmer, not meant to tease, but to remind her how he had touched her when they were alone. “Here you go, Doc. You need it more than I do. I’d offer you a ride home, but I doubt you’d accept it. I do hope you have a lovely evening.” He squeezed her hands, and she almost squeezed back, her cheek pressed against the lapel of his jacket, facing him but unable to look him in the eye. Dangerous things happened when she met his gaze. 

Then, as quickly as he appeared, he was gone. He disappeared into his town car and did not even look back at her when they drove off. 

Lilya pulled the large jacket around her frame and let herself take in the fading scent of his cologne and closed her eyes as flashes of their kiss earlier that day flooded her mind, how wonderful it felt to be back in his arms with his mouth on hers- 

Neve stared at her friend, blinking blankly. She hadn’t seen her like this about a man since she had dated Ashur, the man who broke her heart to become a priest. By her glazed-over look alone, whatever the two shared was more explosive and intense than what Lilya had with the man she was convinced she’d marry. After things ended between them, the poor girl stopped dating and focused only on her career. Sure, there were casual flings, a friendly booty call whom she trusted enough to call upon whenever human contact was a necessity- but the look on her face screamed to Neve that this was not someone she was going to get over through willpower and abstinence from him alone. 

“Oh my darling, Lilya. You went and done it.” 

She looked up at Neve with confusion, her brows furrowing together as she continued to unconsciously revel in the scent of the man, her expression gradually softening the more she inhaled his scent from his collar. “Done what?” 

“Gone and fallen for him, obviously.” 

“Wha-no! I don’t even know the man, I can’t, you don’t just- I mean I certainly don’t - people don’t do this! A-Adults don’t do this!” she spluttered, growing increasingly flustered as her vehement denials piled up, her anxiety rising with a sharp sting of what she recognised as cognitive dissonance. “... Neve.” 

The detective hushed her, extinguishing her cigarette with her heel and opened up her arms again for Lilya to snuggle back into her embrace. “Don’t worry, Lil, there are worse things than being head over heels for a guy like that.”  “... There is?” she asked, her voice muffled between them.  Neve nodded and smiled softly. “Mhmm. You could like them, and they could not know you exist. Or they know you exist, but just don’t care. Thankfully for you, that man, oh Lilya, that man looks like you’re the only thing that exists. And at the very least, I know that he has excellent taste in women… And clothes, this jacket is fabulous.”

Random headcanons I have for the LU boys!! (Also if you have any please lmk so I can steal hear them! :D )

Time:

• He drew a lot when he was a kid (We can see this in his house in OOT and at the end of MM) and he kept drawing as he grew up. For him it was a way to process everything, and he improved a lot by the time LU rolls around. Now he has loads of old sketchbooks lying around (some are literally just filled with drawings of Malon) at home and when he sends letters to Malon he attaches drawings of the places he saw while travelling.

• continuation of this ^^ - he often tries to draw Saria so he can remember her but he forgot what her face looks like since it was so long ago that he had seen her, and there’s no way to ever see her again.

• He kept the bombers notebook and writes little details about the people he knows so he won’t forget them. (Example: wilds favourite colour is blue, four hates green peppers, etc )

• He did love his Zelda (obvs not anymore) and it took him a long time to open up to Malon because he missed her.

• for a long time after MM he basically viewed people as NPCS, he was so used to everyone in Termina going through the same routines and conversations every day that he started to not view them as people but “tasks” that he had to complete. It took him a long time to relate to and empathise with other people after he left Termina.

• 100% knows about Hyrule being a fairy, he just never mentions it to him. He knows most of the chains secrets but he keeps them to himself because it’s not his business.

• He’d never admit it himself but he is the wisest and most emotionally intelligent of the chain. Everyone comes to him with their problems and he knows exactly how to help them. However he doesn’t get why they all look up to him as a dad. It just flies over his head because he’d never see himself the way they all see him

• Sometimes he still wonders if navi will come back to him, but he knows deep down that she won’t.

• he has shit handwriting, like the only person who could understand it is malon and even she has a hard time with it sometimes. It takes him ages to write anything down because he tries his best to make his handwriting neat

• he didn’t know how to read during OOT. Navi read for him. He still had trouble in MM but he got a lot better

• Moves SILENTLY, even with the armour on.

Legend:

• I’ve said this in another post but legends bunny form is actually a representation of his inner child, and the reason why it’s a pink rabbit is because he owned a plushie of a pink rabbit when he was really small, before ALTTP took place. He still has it but it’s locked in a chest somewhere so he could forget about it.

• He is NOT related to Fable, and he is in love with her and she is in love with him. He views Ravio as his brother.

• He and Fable were childhood friends since ALTTP and he fell in love with her during that game. He didn’t know he was in love with her until after LA.

• Marin was a mental representation of how Legend saw Fable. She was how he pictured/wanted fable to be (perfect, in love with him, etc).

•He still has complicated feelings over the whole thing because he loved Marin, but now he knows he loves Fable, but he doesn’t know if fable loves him back, and Marin wasn’t real, but she made him realise his love for fable… it’s confusing.

• Ravio has his own room in legends house, and he and fable basically live there bc they never leave. (They both also have keys and let themselves in almost every day. Legend pretends to be annoyed and calls them trespassers but he loves their company)

• He is an insanely fast learner and has loads of hidden talents. Sometimes he will say he never did something before and just do it perfectly on his first try, or he’ll just do something that leaves everyone so surprised because he never mentioned that he could do that before?!?

• He and Time share a birthday, November 21st (the date their first games were released)

• He has chronic pain and issues with his joints

• I can also imagine him having a nut allergy and just not telling anyone, and then he literally almost dies because wild gave him something with nuts in it… and then he just moves on like “ oops yeah forgot to mention it lol” as if he didn’t ALMOST DIE??

• He stomps his foot when he gets mad like a little bunny. He also flops onto people.

• This man blushes at everything. Whether he’s happy, sad, angry, flustered; doesn’t matter, he will blush.

• His favourite instrument to play is the fiddle and the cello

• he also has shit handwriting

• he’s Irish. No I will not elaborate.

• he’s great at dancing

Twilight:

• he’s a country boy what else is there to say?

• he’s the most emotional and sappy one in the group, everyone thinks it’s sky but it’s really him

• He is a great singer but he’d be too embarrassed to actually sing in front of anyone in the chain

• he does the little leg kicky thing that dogs do when they dream

• he broke warriors rib once by hugging him too tight

• if he talks too fast no one can understand him because of his accent (legend shares that problem) and the chain sometimes makes fun of him for the things he says

Wind grows up to be taller than Time

Fable technically counts as a hero of Hyrule since she saved legend in EOW

Warriors and Legend smoke. Time also secretly stress-smokes. Warriors swears up and down that he never touched a cigar in his life and that they’re disgusting so one day Legend hides his stash so he can watch him frantically searching and not being able to ask anyone where they are without admitting that he smokes.

Everyone snores. Literally every single one of the Links are snorers, this ranges from quiet little snores to literal foghorns. Warriors, four and Wild are the quietest and Wind, Sky and Time are the loudest. No one knows how Sun or Malon get any sleep at all.

Ravio has insanely good luck. Everything just kind of works out for him lol

I don't even really go here, but the Ginny and Georgia difference in hate is crazy.

Georgia murders 2 men, crosses and has unhealthy boundaries with her daughter, overpowers her voice in therapy, & commits financial abuse by screwing up her credit, and people say, "she was trying to give her a better life." Ginny dares to have complicated feelings about that and especially question the murders (when she doesn't even initially know the reason behind them), in which she's difficultly placed as cause for them (which would stir up a lot of feelings of guilt), and people say, "she's ungrateful and needs to treat her mom better." It's veeery weird how people can empathize with Georgia's trauma and how she grew up, but not understand a 16 year old experiencing the effects of generational trauma at the hands of her own mother. This contributes to the narrative that 'because a parent means well, they can't harm you' and is so problematic. The scene last season where she forced Ginny to show her sh scars; I don't know how, but I don't think people realize that, that can be traumatizing, and yet you still get unrelated criticism on the edits like, "Ginny's annoying" and "Ginny's selfish." It's so obvious that Ginny is a depressed girl, and I feel like people regard Marcus' more, but the two of them are 2 opposite spectrum examples of depression and just show it differently. God forbid, a teenager be a little self-absorbed and more focussed inward to notice someone's mental health when she's experiencing her own confusing trauma in real-time and feels safe enough to verbalize it for the first time in her young, unstable life to her first love. Her anger/lashing out and her self-absorption are actually a symptoms of her depression. If people on this app were making a post on real-life situations, they'd be advocating for mutual mental health understanding & to be easy on yourselves for not noticing a friend's depression. But regardless of this girl's own trauma, depression, and life stressors, all of that gets ignored compared to the continuous grace that other characters get, and her character worth is based around if "she treated her mom better" per season.

This show is actually so weird, because they do everything in their power to show that Georgia's an abusive mom, even though I know the narrative isn't aiming for or trying to tell you that. This isn't hate to Georgia, btw (and not dismissing her own trauma and abuse), but the difference and glaring hypocrisy is insane.

I swear Ginny can't do anything without someone still finding reason to hate her. Abby was a rude bitch, Max was selfish & a bad friend, and Marcus was not perfect in season 1 by kind of leading on Padma & being nonchalant of people's feelings by flirting with Ginny, while she had a boyfriend, but every season no matter how much she improves there is some commentary that "Ginny was kind of rude there and she gives mean girl behavior." (no, because honestly-saw edits & people being like, the way she treated Max was uncalled for, but Abby literally talked bad about her the minute she left and called her feelings too much to her face). Like oh my god. Like OH MY GODDDD

Why I picture the big three kids with Jason instead of Thalia

Now I have seen at least two posts which I am 90% sure I have queued for reblog where the people claim that the concept of the male little three is due to sexism. That is should be:

Percy, Thalia, Nico or

Percy, Jason, Hazel

But honestly I reject this form of fandom policing. When I got into pjo fandom and I hardly knew who Nico even was, I preferred the male little three fanarts over the ones with Thalia, and after knowing a bit more canon, my preference is solidified.

Hazel is cool, but since I haven't spent time learning about HOO, I don't care much about her or the other HOO characters. Plus, I find Nico way cooler as a Hades kid than her. His powers are awesome!

Here are my simple, non-sexist reasons for preferring Percy, Jason and Nico as my big three kids, instead of Thalia:

Character preference:

TLDR - I dislike Thalia. Neutral on Jason. Next!

Fanart Aesthetic:

I just think the boys look better together than Thalia with her cousins. One of my favourite fanarts of them is the ones where they have Ancient Greek outfits with the laurels. They are so cute! There's something about Thalia that doesn't make her fit. Not a fan of punk characters and with her hunters' get-up, she doesn't belong in my opinion. Especially as the boys get older and she's stuck as a teenager. Not my vibe.

Jason has more canon potential to complete the cousin group:

Thalia and Percy have a great relationship. But Thalia and Nico hardly interact. Plus, Nico probably wouldn't be happy being around her much due to what happened with Bianca. Jason, on the other hand, had the potential to be a great bro for Percy AND he has a good relationship with Nico. PLUS, the three of them represent the unity of the camps.

Leadership:

I like those video edits that showcase the parallels of the boys' vulnerabilities. All the boys have earned huge leadership roles, which set them apart. Thalia is a lieutenant of the hunters...but let's be real. Jason defeated a titan. Thalia was a nepo baby and got power handed to her. There is no comparison.

Plot relevance:

One of the things I hate about Thalia is her total irrelevance after book 3. She had so much buildup, interesting backstory with Annie and Luke...then she becomes Artemis' lapdog and vanishes from the dealings of the plot. Her connection to Percy and Nico feels distant because of this. She's in a different world. The boys, on the other hand, have major roles in both series and are integral to the action. Honestly, Thalia could have stayed a tree, and nothing would have changed, really.

Standing up to their fathers:

Between the two of them, Jason is the true rebel to match Nico and Percy, especially Nico. Percy doesn't really stand up to Poseidon per se, but he has been shown to make his case to Poseidon, eg. petitioning to keep Bessie alive and convincing Poseidon to fight Typhoon. Jason spent his entire life loyal to the gods...yet when he meets Zeus for the first time, he stands up for Apollo to his father with little hesitation. Not even Percy did that, and he actually knows Apollo! What has airhead Apollo done for Jason? But, like Nico, he was willing to call out his father when he saw an injustice.

Zeus has helped Thalia more than Jupiter ever helped Jason. Zeus "saved" her life and provided a guide for her. Jupiter offered up Jason as a token to Juno/Hera. Thalia spent her life cursing the gods with Luke, but she was obviously a sellout because every time she met Zeus, she was like, "Thank you, Daddy 🥰". Not faulting her for wanting parental approval, but the point still stands. Thalia is a faker and it's probably the best that she and Luke never met again. If Thalia was that important, she would have been by Percy's side in TLO demanding better for demigods. But Rick literally took her out of the climax with a dumb statue. Wasted potential.

Anyway, these are my reasons why Jason is better than Thalia and deserves his spot in my version of the little three.

I desperately need to know how the GA views the Mileven conflict in season 4 because I genuinely cannot think of a reason why Mike cannot say “I love you” to Eleven if he is truly in love with her.

I’ve barely seen any arguments to begin with and the few I have seen + ones I’ve tried to concoct myself just to see if they make any sense whatsoever are all extremely easy to disprove.

“Mike is bad with words”- this is a more common one I’ve seen and I think it is just objectively false. My boy is a writer?? I don’t think he’s bad with words 😭 Now I’m not trying to say that every writer speaks with perfect eloquence and doesn’t struggle with emotional repression but we have in show proof that Mike is perfectly capable of verbally expressing affection to people he cares about.

“Crazy together” speaks for itself, adorable, 10/10, comforting, sweet, loving.

“Well I call bull on your logic, because you’re my best friend too.” my sweet boy, did you see the look on Dustin’s face? Pure happiness.

“I have no idea what’s going to happen next, but whatever it is, I think we should work together. I think it’ll be easier if we’re a team, friends, best friends” reassuring, apologetic, everything??

“It’s Hawkins, it’s not the same without you” absolutely adorable, Will was on the verge of tears.

“Could’ve used you up here too” ok King making Dustin feel validated and appreciated.

In conclusion, I hate that argument because I just don’t think Mike is bad with words.

“He doesn’t say it because he’s scared of losing El”- the fact that this is the argument actually presented by the show is crazy to me. What kind of logic is that? Mike isn’t stupid, he’s an intelligent boy and has displayed competent levels of emotional intelligence in every season of the show (which I’ll talk more about in a second). You would think that, especially with his desire to be needed and depended on, Mike would be more likely to have the opposite problem, he’d be always saying “I love you” and seeking out that validation back from Eleven. Surely, he would constantly reassure her that he loves her if he’s afraid of losing her because he wouldn’t want to push her away but that is exactly what he does. I don’t think that, from a writing standpoint, this was an effective, convincing or sensical route to take if the fear of losing El is the true reason behind his inability to say ily.

Going onto a point I touched upon a second ago, the argument that “Mike doesn’t realise he’s upsetting Eleven because he’s not emotionally intelligent enough to note it”. The fact that I’ve genuinely seen this argument before is both an insult to Mike’s character and to this show’s writing. Mike is very oriented around protecting the people he cares about.

In season 1, he’s the most emotionally oriented one out of the party, being relentless to find Will, reassuring to Dustin, kind to El and apologetic to Lucas. He notices when will is “more quiet than usual” in season two and knows when something is upsetting him most of the time throughout the series. In season 4, we see him look over to Max in concern when her nose is bleeding. He’s always checking if his friends are ok and seems to know when they aren’t.

This is why I honestly can’t believe that he wouldn’t realise his avoidance of the phrase wouldn’t upset El. Not to mention the fact that she literally comes straight out with it and tells him?? Crazier to me still is that people still stand by this argument when Mike’s immediate response to El’s frustration with him was not to apologise and tell her he loves her, explaining that he genuinely didn’t realise and reassuring her, and is instead to go on the defensive, getting mad at her and telling her she’s “being ridiculous”. Is that really the way you’d act when being confronted with the fact that you’ve hurt the supposed “love of your life”?

If all this isn’t damning enough, the way the show handles this conflict and the Mileven relationship as a whole should be.

Their breakup in season 3? Framed as comical.

Season 4 fight? “It felt like a fight you can’t come back from”

Mike’s monologue? The vines tightened around El’s neck when he finally said “I love you”. Not to mention that he looked broken.

The aftermath? El purposefully avoided Mike and they didn’t get a single scene together.

Finale? El on her own, Mike with Will.

Not my most eloquent or well put-together rant but I seriously, genuinely cannot fathom how anyone can look at all the Mileven conflict in season 4 and come up with a feasible argument for why Mike behaves the way he does.

Neil didn't die so I wont be crashing out and falling into a depressive episode like I did with "Art heist, baby" (iykyk) even though I KNEW HOW IT ENDED!

Andrew is my favorite character so far, are we surprised? No! The second he hit Neil in the gut with the racket I KNEW he'd be my favorite character. I like them crazy and fearlessly loyal (cough cough Jinx cough cough)

Though Neil is a close second! I predict I'll love Jean or I'll absolutely fucking hate him when I read his book, though so far it's leaning towards love. He seems very Regulus Black coded and I think we all know how I feel about Regulus Black considering my profile.

I've decided I liked Nicky, I saw people saying he only kissed Neil for his own pleasure but no??? He kissed Neil to drug help him with Cracker Dust you know like Andrew wanted. And after that he never once tried to physically force Neil into anything, he seemed guilty, waited a while to ask Neil if they were okay you know to give him time to process, then after that all his flirting felt VERY joking and you can really tell how much he LOVES his boyfriend.

I have a love hate relationship with Kevin, I didn't really give a fuck about him in book one, liked him in book two, then kinda was just annoyed by everything about him in book 3 and I don't know why or how my feelings about him changes so quickly per book. Literally I ended book 2 and immediately started book 3 and the first time Kevin did something in book 3 I was like "ugh not this bitch again" but maybe that's me feeding off of how annoyed Neil WA's with him because anytime Neil liked him or mentioned something positive about him I was like "aww that's the Kevin I know and love!" and the "my father comes to all my matches, isn't that enough?" WAS SO CUTE I LOVED THAT SO MUCH I NEED TO SEE THEIR FATHER SON RELATIONSHIP PROGRESS!

I love Matt. That's pretty much all I have to say about him. Same for Dan.

Rene I again was VERY MUCH feeding off of Neil's emotions because I was so sceptical about her and then really enjoyed her character.

I didn't like Allison until she helped Neil with the bruises in book 2 then I liked her. And her yelling at the Feds was fun.

I couldn't care less about Aaron I just don't care about him. He could not even be in this story and I wouldn't miss him. Just like Neil I don't give a fuck about him except when it comes to how Andrew feels about him. And when Andrew asked if he had been hurt in book two after Aaron killed Andrew's rapist, I found that sweet? I guess, I definitely saw me in Andrew their but we don't need to talk about that.

I enjoyed the bartender, I forgot his name, I LOVE how he's the reason Neil found out Andrew liked him. That was hilarious! And I love how he redacted to Nicky bombarding him with Questions one Andrew and Neil were "public" even tho they're not dating

AND THEY'RE NOT OFFICIALLY TOGETHER YET EITHER! I Personally am not a fan when couples are left unsaid if they're officially together yet (probably because my ex took 2 fucking month after we both confessed to make it official, I had asked if they wanted it to be official and they said that they needed time to think. And yk because she was pretty and I'm gay and had been crushing on her for a about 6 months waited. Now I won't do a talking stage for more than a month. That should be more than enough time to know if you actually want to be with me or not.) but I'm optimistic that Neil or Andrew will confirm they are actually in a committed relationship (in whatever form they want) in a different boom.

I love Coach I just cannot spell his name for the life of me (she's dyslexic guys, she's dyslexic! Same Megan, if you get the reference we can be friends)

I like Abbey I like her a little more than Aaron but less than any of the other foxes. That's really it.

I don't like Betsy, she's creepy and if she was my psychiatrist? Therapist? Whatever I'd either pull and Aaron and not talk to her or a Neil and rant about my special interests instead of my feelings.

I REALLY like Jeremy already and the Trojans are definitely my favorite team besides the foxes, the goalie and her girlfriend were so cute too! Plus I'm a Greek Mythology nerd so I love their team name! I'm excited to see more of him in the next books

Fucking LOVE the Foxes! I just finished The Kings Men. I finished all 3 books over the course of 6 days, less than 72 hours tho. I'm starting the next one which I believe is more Jean focused? And I already LOVE Jeremy from the small bit we got of him.
