Something I really like is that April’s constant stream of odd jobs she goes through is somewhat reflected in the boys as well. Like, you have April working at random pizza places or getting a crane license or being fully willing to apply for a job at a place clearly made out of cardboard. Then you have the boys as well who do anything from working as a basketball mascot, building a massive dog park, being waiters, getting a whole band gig at a theme park, etc, etc-
Main difference is that April actively applies for these jobs (and is hopefully paid for the short time she’s in them) whereas for the bros the jobs usually find them (and they practically never get paid.) It doesn’t even stop at jobs either, they just seem to casually amass skills in general.
I don’t know, I like how both April and the turtles are just so ready and willing to do things. Sure, they’re not always good at these things, but they do them readily! In a way, being heroes is just another job (well, more like volunteer work/vigilantism/another fun activity) that they initially took on because of their general sense of “why not?”
They’re very willing and open to trying out new things despite their tendency to revert back to what they enjoy (and how commonly trying new things ends up going wrong), and I think that adaptational interest of theirs really helps them be well rounded in multiple regards.
critical role fandom please remember that fearne calloway and dorian storm are very close friends too and that she isn't just there to wingman a romantic relationship for him and otherwise never interact with him or have him acknowledge her existence challenge
Wolverine from X-Men: Evolution was a gay man, or at the very least queer. My evidence is as follows:
No defining/memorable romantic relationships with women AT ALL during the show's run. Jean was a teenager, he was an adult, and - unlike the Ultimate X-Men comics which served as inspiration for this series - these two did not have a romantic relationship nor did they have any romantic tension, the relationship between them instead mirroring a brother/sister one. The same can be said about Logan's other high-profile comics romantic interest, Storm, where their relationship was more like siblings as well rather than anything with romantic undertones.
Still genuinely do not get the anti-Green, anti-Black stuff and the arguments over who is actually the Bad Guy here. None of these characters are supposed to be saints. They can be bad people and/or do bad things and you can still love them anyway because they are not real. Why tf do you think Light Yagami is so popular despite being a narcissistic, sociopathic twink murderer??
personally I’ve never been a huge fan of the idea that miquella and malenia had universally positive relationships with the carians, like I just don’t see the carians not having any negative feelings after seeing their father and his “new” wife dote on their new children after the disrespect he showed them and their mother with no explanation and no meaningful apology. rykard and radahn especially I think had a degree of admiration for their father since they both invoke him in their knights’ uniforms and I think it would have hurt to see him have such a close bond with miquella, developing incantations together, when it doesn’t seem like any of them had quite that kind of relationship with him. I think they’re flawed and self-absorbed enough that they might hold a grudge against literal children. however I also think that ranni specifically might have personally taken pity on the twins because of their shared connection as empyreans; I fully believe she would have felt sorry for them since they’re all in the same boat of being the gods’ chosen, and she wouldn’t wish that fate on anyone. for her it could’ve been a complicated mix of resenting the situation in which the twins exist and feeling like she and her mother have been dealt an injustice, but also sympathizing with the twins’ situation and understanding that they didn’t choose this either
Im kinda so very much out of the vivziepop helluva boss loop since its been a while since I watched anything of hers (And because spme of the writing and some of her...choices character design wise turned me off from interacting further) but one thing I will never not have in the back of my mind is how they portrayed striker* as being unreasonably petty and angry at the mistreatment of imps and that his agenda was misguided hatred.
When from what I get in lore from what I remeber that imps systematically are treated like shit and so infantilized by higher-ups that they are treated as pets so I honestly I dont blame him for being a hater as well as not understanding why anyone would--esp an imp would wanna be in cahoots with these infamously elitist classist set of assholes.
controversial opinion maybe but it BEWILDERS me when people (mostly americans ime) genuinely seriously with their whole chest complain about how impossibly hard russian names are. like. do a single google search. i don't see how you can comprehend that charles = chuck and margaret = peggy but can't fathom that rodion = rodya. how is this such a huge barrier of entry for people
Thinking bout making an Inverted AU, just imagining everyone's personality being the opposite-- already biting my nail thinking of how I'm gonna approach Sarge's inverted self💀
This already looks cursed-(forgot to add Tex, but we already know she's wearing white armour 😭)
Did Simmons first, according to Google apparently the opposite of Ginger is Ash Green
I'm so tired of seeing people undermine what Nancy went through in s3.
I'm not talking about Jonathan, because that was the point of their argument and he was right. They were both right, that's why I love their argument because it's realistic in the way they were both right but didn't see each other's povs.
But I'm talking about the fandom.
Nancy wasn't treated right, whether you believe it was because she's a woman or because she was young, she wasn't treated right. Jonathan didn't have a walk in a park by any means, but he was NOT mistreated by the people at the post.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk 🙏🙏 (I don't know if this makes sense but I'm kinda rushing rn)
N*loth is literally prime NPD representation and that's just how it is. Dat's just how i feel . if iiiiiii hear anyhing ab him needing to be humbled or put in his place i'll just tear my hair out right here and match his look. not even trying to lift him up or defend him i'm just defending the mentally ill skajrim characters nobody wants to understand,
The weed is making me courageous so I think my biggest unpopular opinion for Bg3 is I don’t think Astarion is sexy or cute or anything at all really. He’s just there. Like he’s just a dude with an attitude problem lol like I keep seeing people compare the man to a renaissance painting like he’s fucking Lestat. Dude wishes he was Lestat lmao he’s just some white man with high cheekbones 😂😂
