     "She is," Revali concedes after a breath's pause.

     Tulin beams brighter for no conceivable reason. He sways closer, almost enough to discomfit him ( and Revali's already adjusted his personal bubble quite a bit for the flock's spirited clutch of fledglings ), pleading without the plea.

     Honestly...might as well. "She was— is a formidable ally. As a warrior, her strength could not be denied."

There are trans people in the comments of this post who definitely have the opposite opinion, and that's still after understanding both sides.

I think more people need to realize that having a beef with a movie (or anything, really) doesn't automatically mean it's phobic in some way, and it doesn't mean that the people who made the movie were out to attack anyone.

There is a running joke about the Barbie toy genitals because of the very real humor in the way the toys were made with no genitals, which becomes an obvious and noticeable fact about playing with the toys as kids. If referencing this universal experience is seen as transphobic rather than a nod to the "Barbie life", then that sounds like a misunderstanding.

Humor hits different people differently, but the Barbie ending definitely wasn't created out of thin air to declare something about the existence of women.

You can look for the worst in a film, or you can give it the benefit of the doubt. Not every film is for every person because of their own personal associations and that's fine. But personal associations don't mean the film is attacking you (or that anyone else is when they don't see it that way).

The fact that people just get aggressive & defensive when you mention that the new Barbie film’s ending is deeply transphobic only goes to illustrate the point further: if you just disagreed, wouldn’t you at least want to hear trans girls out? - The only issue with her is that she won't leave you alone like at all.

- Vaggie needs to come drag her out so she'll stop talking about all the 'work' you've missed while you've been away recovering and all the theory behind it while you're trying to rest.

- Charlie 100% gets sick as well.

- Probably will try to keep hugging you and stuff like that, disregarding your grossness because she doesn't want you to feel 'lonely'.

Vaggie

- Understandably a bit avoidant of you, but not straight up averse.

- She needs to stay in top shape to guard the hotel.

- She would wear a mask around you and come see you still in short intervals, though, bringing you some stuff you need occasionally.

- Both for himself, but also for you as well.

- He comes from a time where people got what you got and died very quickly with no treatment available, so he's scared shitless about it even if everyone's insisting it's not going to kill you.

- Doesn't go see you in person because he's freaked out about it, but sends his eggs to come talk to you, ask you how you are and deliver messages from him to you every day.

- Will lie and say he doesn't care at all, then probably go cry in private about it.

- When it's clear you're no longer sick, he's going to be so relieved.

- Will probably genuinely show physical affection without thinking about it.

- He's such an awful cunt the whole time.

- Always shows up to go see you but its only to laugh at you like you're the funniest thing ever.

- He cannot get sick off of normal things, so he's all up in your business the whole time he decides it's 'go bother (name)!' Time.

- If you're delirious with temperature he'll probably openly talk to you about certain secret things because if you remember and bring them up he can just gaslight you about it.

- "Oh (name), you must be misremembering because you were so unwell!"

- He is the absolute worst about you being sick.

- Vaggie is your saviour in this situation, shooing him out of your room when she realises that he's once again back.

Niffty

- Okay, Alastor is objectively the worst, but Niffty is also fucking terrible.

- She's seemingly good faith with her bs at least, though.

- Acts like the insanest, most unhinged nurse taking care of a child with you.

- Will be there trying to cram food and drink down your throat aggressively, spoon feeding you things while gripping your mouth open way too hard.

- Dresses up like a nurse as well, courtesy of Alastor of course.

- Will show up with God knows what in syringes and try to inject them into you.

- Probably will try get a blood sample from you as well for some terrifying reason.

- You probably end up tripping balls at some point because she's injected you with some unidentifiable substance.

- Also needs to be escorted out by Vaggie so you aren't straight up killed by her attempts to... help(?) You get better. The motivation is unclear.

Oh, I love this, I talked before about Yuu getting a little cleaning and cooking side business going since a lot of guys suck at taking care of themselves, especially the well-off ones that prob had a maid take care of everything.

Jamil and Ruggie both need breaks/some help. Leona and Kalim are working these poor boys to the bone. Ruggie is def hounding you for leftovers.

I can imagine Idia is kind of embarrassed and might clean up or hide a few things before you come over, doesn't want you thinking he's gross. I'm picturing him in his web looking flustered as he pretends to act all focused on the game his playing on his tablet but he's actually just watching you clean and fueling his house waifu/husbando fantasies.

You would definitely get a lot of extra work from the octo trio, if it's not their rooms you're taking care of then it's help with the lounge. brazil arc hinata save us all

you're next door to the place he was posted up for the duration of his stay

you both always end up leaving in the mornings to go about your days at the same time, seeing each other at your front doors

from the first moment he saw you, he just thought you were out of this world pretty

eventually starts greeting you

“bom dia! (good morning!)” [hinata]

then it goes into small talk as the mornings follow one another

it’s like canon he can keep up a decent convo in portuguese

"roupa linda... hoje? (nice outfit... today?)" [hinata]

(his face absolutely lights up)

tells you he’s in brazil on beach volleyball training and starts inviting you to the beach to come watch

"if you're not busy! i'm always down there. i'm getting really good!" [hinata]

and not like he would be more of a try hard bc he’s always trying hard when it comes to volleyball...

buttttt if you were there for his games he would always look to you nearby after he scores to make sure you saw him being super cool like that

would even try to show you how to play–specifically serve or set for him–if you don't already know

then it would extend to going out at night as he asks you to show him around (his volleyball mates have already shown him a bunch but he acts dumb so he can hopefully spend more time with you)

he gets tongue tied just as badly as when he's trying to speak portuguese

where there’s music, there’s dancing–and hinata really tries to dance brega with you a little bit

he knows he'll be bad, but he hopes that makes you smile (and an excuse to hold you) and besides, he’s actually not too bad! (i have said before i think he can dance when the time calls for it!!)

his volleyball friends have definitely put him onto some brazilian funk as they've played their games on the beach, but he’ll ask if you have any brazilian music recs

if you do, as soon as you go into your respective houses at the end of the night, he’s listening to that religiously u can lowkey hear it through the wall

sugawara and his friends (the third years) (noya convinced them to go) decided they wanted to be part of the festivities this year!

his group just so happens to bump into you and your friends in the crowd that first night

bro is down bad from the moment he lays eyes on you

his friends catch him staring and they push him to go dance with you amidst the loud music surging through the mass of people

both of your groups hit it off and you exchange numbers

the next few days you all hang out in the mornings as you and your friends show them around, before reuniting again in the nighttime for the festival activities

genuinely asks if you could teach him some words in portuguese

"how do you say... "beautiful" in portuguese?" [sugawara]

"cool! cool, yeah... good to know– GREAT to know, actually!" [sugawara]

he'll always ask which fruits or foods or drinks are your favorites and is willing to try any you pick out for him

he's not picky or anything not as long as you're around

and i really mean as in any, like if you lied and purposefully picked one you hated for him, he would fake that it was the best thing he's tried in his life

doesn't ever fail in offering to share it with you, though chat is this rizz

he may or may not go home to their airbnb one night and convinces the rest to stay another week

and the day after the festival is over he may or may not start texting you one-on-one under the guise of "do you want me to send those pictures of you you're in??"

Thank you for the kindness, I have been in serious need of it lately.

I promise that I have missed you all so, so much just as much as you have missed me. Life has just gotten in the way of so much and it has made things difficult for me. Not gonna make excuses because that isn't me. I also promise that I have not stopped writing though, it's just been a hell of a lot slower than it was.

I have several projects coming down the line, I am just trying to kind of have a few things ready before I start posting so that I can set up a more steady flow of work. Cause if you think I'm going anywhere, you're wrong. I am still wanting to make all our Simon Riley fantasies come true.

So, how about a little excerpt from a piece that I'm working on to tantalize?

This is from a fic that will be titled: Closing Time. It's a friends to lovers piece and this is the moment that everything goes down.

Those full lips of his ghost themselves over your own until the proximity makes you tremble from the seduction and your eyes flutter shut a moment as let yourself succumb to the anticipation of when exactly he will break the distance. He waits on baited breath until your eyes slowly flit back open and your gaze meets his before he finishes his thought. “I wanna make ya mine so fuckin’ bad, luv.”

A smile crosses over your mouth as you hold his longing stare. You know he’s giving you an out, a way to step away if this isn’t really what you want, but from the moment your lips met back at the bar, there was no turning from this. “Then what are you waiting for?” you ask in the softest whisper as you can almost taste his breath from the proximity.

You hear the deep breath he intakes before all at once he leans into you in a frenzy, not able to hold back that overwhelming tension for another second. The grip from his large hand palming through your hair is strong and keeps your head safe as he shoves you both into the wall, his firm torso pressing tightly into your curves as the brunt of his need and months of pent up longing is forced upon your lips with a feverish intensity that makes you instantly lose yourself as explosions like fireworks light up inside your mind.

Over and over he captures your mouth with aggression until your lips start to burn from the friction the harder he presses into them. You try to draw in air, but his frenzied advances on your mouth makes it almost impossible to breathe; still, you wouldn’t let him pull away even if he tried. The sparse dusting of brown stumble along his jaw pricks your cheeks and the skin around your mouth as the taste of the whiskey that he had just downed for courage floods the inside of your mouth from his breath and it hits your tongue with its sharp bite.

Your own hands decide they need to explore the man currently devouring your lips and you run up the back of his muscular neck to the bottom of his mask only for your fingertips to be met with cropped hair at the back of his head. The feeling of your fingers brushing over the short strands near the nape of his neck makes him shiver as the pleasure of the act snakes down his spine and you sigh into his mouth.

Lt. Riley is completely and utterly captivated by you…and he needs more.
