you’re just like me
pairing: cassian x crazy stalker reader
summary: cassian thinks of you as his insanely obsessive ex girlfriend who’s downright crazy. you are obviously cassian’s one true love and will eliminate anything that stands in your way.
warnings: murder, dark romance, cheeky little twist👀, stalking, obsessive behavior, sexual content, knives, nasty sex, um also a sick way of getting off just downright crazy, description of murder… um this is just kinda dark. two psychos encouraging each other
amara’s note: so i might be making this into a series bc i have an amazing idea for azriel next😫😫😫 also guys this was a lil dark lol
You couldn’t understand how Cassian had the nerve to walk away from you. There was absolutely nothing wrong with you, not one single thing. People just didn’t get it; love was supposed to be all-consuming, right? Obsession wasn’t a flaw. It was just proof you cared deeply. So what if you knew his schedule down to the minute, memorized the exact scent of his shampoo, or followed him everywhere he went like your very existence depended on it? That wasn’t weird, it was love. Real, burning, raw love.
Cassian must have been confused, that’s all. Poor thing, probably led astray by some outside influence. Maybe someone whispered lies into his ear or cast some strange spell over his mind. Yeah, that had to be it, because Cassian did love you. He did. He just needed to wake up and realize it again.
And when he did , he’d thank you for never letting go, for being the one person who truly saw him, who loved him without limits.
Seeing Cassian sitting next to some water-wraith makes your heart pound harder and harder, fury bubbling under your skin. That’s it — that’s why he hasn’t been his usual self. That wretched wraith is manipulating him, filling his head with filthy lies about you. Poisoning what was meant to be perfect.
You have to stop this. You have to save him. And the only way to do that is to get rid of her. Permanently.
Your hands itch for action, and you’re already stepping forward when a hand clamps around your wrist.
“Are you about to go over to Cassian?” Feyre’s calm voice cuts through your haze of rage. “Don’t cause a scene.”
You tilt your head, offering her a polite smile. “I don’t know what you mean. I’m simply going to claim what is rightfully mine.”
You tug at her grip, but it holds firm. Feyre’s eyes narrow. “Not so fast. You know Cassian will think you’re crazy if you kill her right here and now.”
Your breath catches. How the hell did she know? Were you that obvious?
Before you can respond, she steps closer, her intoxicating perfume filling your senses. Her voice, low and smooth, sends shivers down your spine.
“If you want that little whore gone, gut her like a fucking fish. I’ll even help you. But not now, it’ll look bad for us.”
Your eyes widen slightly. Never in a million years would you have expected Feyre to suggest murder.
“Why are you so interested in me killing her?” you ask, voice curious.
A wicked smile curls at her lips before she presses a quick kiss to your cheek. “That little bitch tried to fuck Rhys right in front of me. Didn’t even bother pretending she didn’t know who I was. She didn’t care. And now I want her gone.”
Her voice cracks with a manic edge before she smooths it over, composure snapping neatly back into place.
She was just like you, a comfort you took pleasure in, someone who understood that love was meant to be fierce, consuming, and without limits.
—
You did exactly what Feyre suggested — waited until the big meeting with all the courts had ended, biding your time until the wraith was on her way back to Spring. She was alone, vulnerable, just as you had hoped.
Before she could winnow away, you struck. Kidnapping her had been easy, far too easy. And then came the best part: stabbing her over and over until you were drenched in her warm blood. Her look of terror sent a sick thrill down your spine, flipping your stomach in delight. Fuck, it felt good to finally get rid of her. Like being on edge for an eternity and finally getting the sweet, blissful relief you'd craved.
You cleaned up meticulously, disposing of every shred of evidence. No one would ever find her.
Winnowing back to Velaris, you appeared just outside Cassian’s house, dagger still in hand. Breaking in through your usual route was second nature by now. You settled yourself on his sofa, waiting patiently like you always did when he needed a gentle reminder of who truly belonged to him.
The door creaked open, and Cassian trudged inside, shoulders sagging with exhaustion. Normally, you'd feel a pang of sympathy for how hard he worked — how much he gave of himself. But not tonight. Tonight, you were kinda pissed.
His eyes flicked toward you, squinting in the dim light. He hesitated, unsure of who he was looking at until he flipped the lights on.
The color drained from his face as he stumbled backward, eyes wide with shock. “What the hell?” His voice wavered. “What are you doing here?”
You tilted your head, offering a sweet, unwavering smile. “Hi, Cassian. Done being a manwhore? Ready to come back to your senses?”
His gaze darted to the blood soaking your clothes, the gleaming dagger in your hand. He shook his head in disbelief, taking another step back, as if distance could protect him from you.
“I said, what are you doing here?” His voice hardens, sharp and commanding.
Yours matches his, cold and steady. “Well, since you seem to be under some delusion that you can get away from me, I figured I’d burst your little bubble and remind you that’s not the case.”
A calm smile spreads across your lips as you lift the dagger, pointing it directly at him. The weight of it feels right in your hand, steady and sure.
Cassian’s chest rises and falls as tension coils through the room. “You’re insane,” he mutters, disbelief lacing every word.
“Call it what you want. Call it love, call it obsession. Call me fucking insane,” you say, taking a slow step forward. “But you belong to me, Cassian. Always have. Always will.”
You shake your head and laugh, a hollow, unsettling sound. “Gods, Cassian. I don't know why you're doing this to me. Stop being so damn difficult and realize there's no one else for you. That water-wraith slut sure knows it now.”
His face goes pale, a hand pressing against his chest. “W-what are you talking about? You... you killed her?” he asks, horrified.
“Sure did.” You smile sweetly, tilting your head. “And I'll end anyone you think can take my place. Am I clear? Either you realize it now, or I keep killing people. It's all up to you.” You shrug nonchalantly, inspecting your nails as if this conversation were about the weather.
There's a long silence, thick with tension, and then something changes.
His voice drops, lower and rougher. “Took you long enough.”
Your head snaps up, eyes narrowing in confusion. His pale, horrified expression has melted away, replaced by something darker, more primal. His eyes gleam with something unholy, and his mouth twists into a cruel, wicked smile.
“Was wondering when you’d kill that little wraith,” he says smoothly, his voice dripping with amusement. “Gods know it was hard feigning interest.”
A warmth spreads through your chest, almost dizzying. Was this a dream? No way. Cassian matching your intensity, your madness — that was only supposed to happen in fantasies.
“What?” you whisper, barely believing what you’re hearing.
He steps closer, eyes gleaming darkly. “Didn’t think I noticed your stalking? Or the way you conveniently disposed of anyone I talked to?” His smirk widens, sharp and dangerous. “The way you just happened to show up at places I had scheduled? I’ve been onto you since day one.”
Your breath catches, heart thundering. “And?”
“And I knew you were the one the day you snuck into my room and stared at me, thinking I didn’t know,” he murmurs, eyes burning into yours with dark satisfaction.
A shiver runs down your spine, both thrilled and unhinged by his words. “You knew?”
He leans in closer, voice low and possessive. “Of course I knew. Your heavy breathing was a dead giveaway, sweetheart. You looked like you were seconds away from crawling into bed with me.”
You grin, eyes gleaming with madness. “I almost did.”
And it was true. He had been shirtless, skin smooth and golden in the moonlight, hair tied back so his sharp, handsome features were perfectly highlighted. Only years of discipline had kept you rooted to the spot instead of crawling into bed with him like you’d wanted to.
His smile deepens, dark and taunting. “You should’ve.” He steps closer, voice dropping to a low, sinful whisper. “Not the Gods themselves could have pulled me away.”
Your pulse races, wild and electric. This was so not fucking happening. “Don’t tempt me.”
“I’m not tempting you, my love.” he says, eyes gleaming with something dangerous. “I’m inviting you.”
He looks down at you, hands settling on your hips as he pulls you so close. Cassian’s heat makes your brain go fuzzy and for a moment you’re lost. Just as he is about to kiss you…
”Wait. So you felt the same I did? Why did you act all high and mighty when you’re literally worse than me?” You step back and raise an eyebrow at him, arms crossed over your chest.
Cassian blinks, clearly taken aback by your sudden outburst, but instead of guilt or surprise softening his expression, something darker gleams in his eyes — intrigue, even delight. “You’re mad at me, baby?”
“Of course I’m mad!” you snap, practically vibrating with frustration. “You knew I’m bsessed with you, and instead of saying anything, you just sat there, playing with me, making me feel insane.”
Your grip on the dagger tightens in pure frustration. “Do you know how many nights I spent plotting ways to keep you? How much blood I spilled thinking you didn’t care?”
His lips twitch, eyes filled with dark amusement.
“You could’ve just matched my crazy from day one, but nooo, you had to be all stoic and mysterious. Gods, Cassian, that’s infuriating.”
He steps closer, his voice low and dangerous. “You’re adorable when you’re pissed off, ya know? A cute, hotheaded little thing.”
“Adorable? I should stab you,” you snarl, but he only grins wider.
“Do it,” he whispers, his voice dripping with challenge. “I’d love to see what happens next.”
Your breath catches, heart racing as his words sink in. Cassian wasn’t just tolerating your madness, he wanted it, thrived on it, matched it beat for beat.
The realization sends a dizzy thrill through you, but you pout anyway, refusing to let him off the hook that easily. “You’re the worst,” you grumble, turning your head away with a dramatic huff.
He chuckles darkly, wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you flush against him. “I was only interesed in seeing how far you’d go. Didn’t know if you’d run for the hills when I told you I murdered Helion’s advicer for looking at you yesterday.”
Your heart skips a beat, then thunders wildly in your chest. A sharp, wicked grin tugs at your lips despite yourself. “You did that?”
“Snapped his neck right before breakfast. Or did I feed him his own fingers then strangle him with his insides? Can’t say I remember.”
A sick thrill courses through you. Man, he was fucking perfect. It was so fucking wrong but your knees went weak and you started throbbing. He killed someone just for staring at you?
That was actually hot.
—
With no surprise, cassian fucked you for so long, so hard so fucking deep. It was so nasty, a reaaaal mess. one hand of his grabs onto your thigh, another gripping your waist while he’s glancing down at your sloppy cunt, what a masterpiece. Cassian decided he needed to see better so he pulled out as you whimpered pathetically.
his fingers smear his oozing cum all over you, from the slit all the way to your, swollen, throbbing clit.
“look at you makin’ a damn mess.” Your shaky hands gripping his wide shoulders start to slip. His arm tightens around your waist before you fall backwards. “fuckkkk, baby, look at how good your pussy was takin’ me, see how fucking wet she is?” you shudder as his fingers go knuckle deep into your cunt, giving you a few pumps before he pulls it right out, stringy wetness coating them.
he places two thick fingers inside of your mouth, you suck them clean whilst still moving against him, silently pleading for him to fill you out.
“shiiit, not fair. you got these killer hips that’ll dumb down any man.” Cassian finally fills you up again, his fat cock gliding against ypur wall just right. “oh-fuckkkk thaaat’s it, slow baby. slow, fuck me good, yeah?”
Cassian’s breath hitches as you tighten around him, his arm hurling behind the headboard. the desperation of having something to hold on to gives you an ego boost. was your just pussy too damn good?
“c-cas,” you moan, feeling his big fingers stroke their way against your waist to the very undersides of your thighs. you made sure to go slow, slow and steady just like he wanted. cassian’s got a sleazy grin, feeling the wetness of your cunt take him with all its might. “g-gonna cum!”
“i can tell, ah shit— you’re squeezin’ the fuck outta me,” He grunts in response as he feels you writhing, groaning at the gummy texture of your walls mightily gripping around him tight.
But it’s not enough. The rush lingers, addictive and gnawing, and you want more — need more. Something to cling to, something to burn into your memory for the rest of the week. A painfully sweet reminder of just how far you’ll both go for each other.
Your lips curl into a sly smile, voice dropping into a breathy tease. Finally, you’d lock in one last time to see if he was really as crazy as you. “Do you want to know,” You pause, your breath hitching in pleasure, “how it felt to kill t-that wraith?”
Cassian’s entire body tenses, his pupils dilating as a spark of something wild flickers in his eyes. His pulse kicks up, thrumming like a war drum. Fuck yeah, he wanted to know. Every sickening, twisted detail. Morality be damned—this was love.
“Tell me,” he demands, voice low and raw, filled with a dark hunger.
You grin wickedly, savoring his reaction. “It was beautiful,” you whimper, letting the memory flood your senses. “The way her breath hitched when she realized she was going to die? Gods, Cassian, it was intoxicating. She looked so helpless.”
His breath shudders as he pumps harder, his voice gravelly. “What did you feel?”
A dark satisfaction blooms in your chest. “Relief,” you murmur. “Pure relief. Like I’d been waiting forever and I was free.”
Cassian’s eyes burn into yours, his lips curling into a slow, dangerous smile. “You’re perfect,” he whispers. “Absolutely perfect. Absolutely mine.”
Your heart races as you lean in, lips hovering near his ear. “Next time,” you purr, “I’ll let you watch then fuck me right there.”
That’s it. Those few sadistic words are all the power he needs to finish you both off.
“you’re a nasty fucking girl—ughhhh.”
his speed had the bed creaking louder, and cassian’s grunting in your ear was getting louder as you were feeling fuller than ever. with hot pounds of skin against skin roughly slapping against each other after each second, the two of you felt the same pangs of pleasure and fervent dizziness. “inside, cas—fuck, cum inside me!” before an inevitable flood of heavenly pleasure consumes you both.
your cunt throbs the second he spills an entire whopping load inside of you raw, and you nuzzle your face into his neck. “cas—,” you stammer, and your walls were oh so greedy, adjusting to the way your pussy convulses around him, sharp nails dragging over his back. you both cum together as a surge of electricity pulses through each of your veins.
“fuck… ya better take every drop, s-shit,” he groans before slumping back against the headboard, tugging you closer so your face rests on his neck.
This was absolutely perfect. Cassian was yours now—forever. He could never leave you. And if he tried? You wouldn’t just kill him; you’d burn the entire world down with him. If you couldn’t have him, no one could. He simply wouldn’t exist without you.
That was love.
And Cassian being utterly, unapologetically insane? A gift wrapped in chaos. He understood you better than anyone ever could. Maybe you’d push him, see just how far that darkness in him stretched. Because Cassian didn’t get jealous—he got even. He got murderous.
“I love you, Cassian. So, so much,” you sob into his neck, your body trembling under the weight of the confession.
“I know you do,” he rasps, his voice rough as he grabs a blanket, wrapping it around your shivering form. His strong arms envelop you completely, his touch obsessive, possessive. His hand trails down your hair and back with agonizing tenderness as though memorizing every inch of you.
But something gnaws at you—a flicker of unease. Why wasn’t he saying it back? Did he need more proof that you were his literal wife(even if he didn’t know it yet), his reason for fucking breathing?
As if sensing your doubt, his grip tightens, pulling you even closer until you could hear the rapid, frantic beat of his heart. His lips brush against your ear, his voice low and raw, trembling with emotion.
“There are no words for what I feel for you,” he says, voice breaking. “Love is too weak, too pitiful. What I feel for you—gods, it devours me whole. It’s a sickness, an obsession that digs its claws into me and never lets go. You are everything. My breath, my blood, my madness.”
His words crash over you, wild and terrifying and utterly beautiful. And you know—he belongs to you as much as you belong to him.
Always.

Let’s Get Wild
REQ. Tha-gyu x Reader Smut~
Warnings: Cursing, drug use, and threesome/lots a smut (like someone needs to take my phone away from me cuz this was filthy bitch haha)
Summary: Your dumbass friends take Viagra.
————
Most people would think a single woman renting out a home with two men as your roomates would be a cause for concern. Especially if those same roomates, did all kinds of random substances on the daily but to you they were harmless goofballs; they could be dumb and annoying at times but harmless non-the-less.
You guys met at the club, Nam-gyu worked there as a manager, Thanos was a famous rapper so he was there almost every weekend, and you used to work there as a dancer until you finished college and went on to become a nurse.
You’re shift usually ends at 11 PM and you would get home around 11:30 - 11:45 PM. Most of the time you would get home before the boys because the club didn’t close until 2 AM, but sometimes your job would ask you to stay for a few more hours and you would for the extra pay.
Tonight was one of those nights, you texted the boys in the the group chat not to worry if they didn’t see you at the house because you probably weren’t going to be home until later.
On the way home they decided to stop at McDonalds and buy dinner for everyone. They wanted to surprise you and also knew that you most likely weren’t eating enough as you should for how hard you work.
When they got home, they set the food and drinks on the table. They didn’t know exactly how long you would be, but typically when your boss asked you to stay an extra few hours you got home no later than 3 AM.
They went into the fenced off backyard to smoke some weed before coming inside. They both sat down at the table engulfing their food in minutes.
Thanos burped, leaning back in his chair, “Alright, what do you got for us tonight ?”
Nam-gyu smirked pulling out an orange prescription bottle from his coat pocket.
“I pickpocketed this old fucker.” He said, shaking the bottle and listened to the sound of rattling pills.
Thanos made a face, “Why an old guy ? He’s probably got heart issues and shit. No way he’s taking anything fun.”
Nam-gyu shook his head, the corner of his eyes red due to the marijana they smoked earlier. “No dude, I specifically picked him because he was dressed like a rockstar and plus you should’ve seen all the woman he was picking up, that dude was a chick magnet ! Whatever he’s on I want.” Nam-gyu pointed his thumb to himself at the last statement before opening the pill bottle and shaking one out onto his hand.
“What even is it ?” Thanos asked, his eyebrows raised in curiosity now.
Nam-gyu handed Thanos the bottle, “That’s the thing, the labels kind of worn out, so I can’t really tell.”
Thanos inspected the bottle label closely but ultimately shook his head, “Yeah I can’t make it out either.”
He fished a pill out of the bottle and pinched it between his fingers looking at the front and back of the pill. “It doesn’t look familiar.”
Nam-gyu bit his lip in excitement, “I know, im telling you dude I’ve got a good feeling about this one.”
Thanos smiled, “Alright, down the hatch it goes.” He slipped the pill into his mouth, Nam-gyu following suit as they both swallowed it in sync.
————
“Dude, it’s been almost an hour and all I feel is a headache and my heart beating like crazy.”
Nam-gyu sighed, “Yeah, I know, this fucking blows.”
The sound of the door lock turning made them look back to see you stumbling into the house, closing the door behind you and sliding down it onto the floor.
“Hey there’s are Meredith Grey, how was work today ?” Nam-gyu called out to you.
Him and Thanos sat on the couch, watching a movie, with their heads turned to peer at you.
You could barely keep your eyes open, “Fucking exhausting.”
“Well we got you some food on the table, if you’re hungry.”
You perked up at the sound of food, you made yourself stand and walk over to the table. “Aww, thank you guys, this is a really sweet gesture.”
“Oh yeah, no problem, we know the long hard hours you work and wanna make sure you get the energy you need.”
You smiled at them, before grabbing your food and putting it in the microve. Once done, you sat down at the table and began munching down on your hot McSpicy with fries and washing it down with a coke.
You tilted your head, noticing the orange bottle of pills on the table in front of you for the first time. You picked it up and looked at the label, noticing that it wasn’t either of their names.
You rolled your eyes as you realized Nam-gyu must have stolen it from someone at the club. Curious though, you tried to look for the name of the drug but the label was too tattered to read it.
Thanos got up from the couch and joined you at the table, “Oh yeah, maybe you can help us out and tell us what this is.”
You huffed, “Please tell me you guys didn’t take one already, without knowing exactly what was going into your body ?”
“Eh, I wouldn’t worry too much y/n.” Thanos shrugged, “We took it an hour ago and still feel nothing except for our hearts racing but that could just be the weed we smoked earlier.”
You closed yours eyes at the mention of weed, “You mixed it with another substance ?”
“Yeah, but it’s just weed.” Thanos defended, “That’s not harmful, it’s like drinking alcohol.”
You smacked your hand in the middle of your face at his ignorance. “Thanos, mixing prescription drugs with alcohol can be lethal.”
“We only smoked weed, I was just comparing it to alcohol.”
You pinched the bridge of your nose, “No, Thanos, I get that I was just saying-“ you sighed, “You know what nevermind, let me see if I can figure out what this is before I give myself a heart attack.”
You popped open the bottle and shook one out onto the palm of your hand. The pill looked fairly familiar and it wasn’t until you looked very closely at it to read the writing that you let out a laugh.
“What ?” Thanos asked, “What is it ?”
You closed your eyes, shaking your head with a big smile on your lips. “Hey Nam-gyu ?” You called out to him.
His head turned around, “Yeah, what’s up ?”
“Come here please.” You motioned him with your finger.
He raised his eyebrows and got up walking around the couch, your eyes along with Thanos’s were instantly drawn to the prominent hard on showing through his grey sweats. Nam-gyu sat down across from you completely oblivious to his situation.
“Who’d you get this from ?”
His eyes went to the blue pill in your hand, “Some older guy at the club tonight. I thought since woman were practically throwing themselves at him, he would have something that we would want, but turns out it was nothing. This shit is ass.” He crossed his arms and leaned back in his chair.
The smile on your face grew even more, “Well typically Viagra only works if you’re sexually aroused.”
Nam-gyu’s eyes squinted in confusion not completely catching on yet, “Viagra ?”
Thanos froze for a second and then looked down, “Fuck.”
Nam-gyu’s head snapped to him, following his gaze and he chuckled, “Dude why are you-“ He blinked his eyes a couple times before looking down at his own erection.
You bit your lip to keep from laughing, “Yeah… so you guys took Viagra-“ You checked the pill again, “-And at the highest dose as well, wow.”
“Shit.” Nam-gyu commented, looking anywhere but at you.
“Good news is, since you only mixed it with weed there shouldn’t be too many side effects besides Tachycardia. Plus weed can increase the amount of Viagra in your system, making it last longer and amplifying its effects.”
They both looked at each other with worry and confusion. “What’s Tachycardia ?” Nam-gyu asked, looking back at you.
“It’s just means a faster than normal heartbeat.” You explained.
“Shit.” Thanos cursed under his breathe, “Y/n you gotta help us.”
You laughed, getting up from your seat and throwing your trash away. “Yeah not gonna happen, you two can suck each other off, I’m going to go sleep.”
You went to your room and shut the door, quickly switching into comfortable pj’s and snuggling under your covers.
A few hours later you awoke to someone shaking you lightly and whispering your name. You barely peeled your eyes open enough to make out the color of Thanos’s purple hair.
“Thanos…” You groaned, “What the fuck do you want ?”
“Y/n, you gotta help us.” His voice sounded panicky.
You whined, stretching your limbs, “Huh ? What are you saying ?”
“The Viagra we took earlier, remember ?”
You let out a soft laugh recalling the event suddenly, “What about it ?”
“It’s been two and half hours and we’re still hard as rocks.”
“Alright TMI.” You rolled over onto your side, your back facing him.
“Y/n-“ He pulled your arm down having your back lay against the mattress. “I’m not playing around, we both tried jacking off and came but nothing changed, we’re still hard and it’s starting to become painful.”
“Okay, I still don’t know what you expect me to-“
Thanos cut you off, attaching his lips to yours. This wasn’t the first time you two have kissed, sometimes when you would drink with them, you guys would get really steamy. Not just with Thanos but Nam-gyu too.
You moaned into the kiss, your fingers lazily running through his hair. He rolled himself on top of you, making you instantly feel his hard on pressed against your leg. You felt yourself clench at the thought of him inside of you.
You felt the bed dip next to you and looked over while Thanos kissed along your neck. It was Nam-gyu, he was feeling himself over his sweats as he watched you and Thanos play with each other.
When Thanos pulled away to remove his clothing, you crawled over to Nam-gyu. He leaned back onto his elbows as you made your way on top of him. You could hear his breathing pick up, as your face inched closer to his. You attached your lips to his and he moaned into the kiss as he tried pulling you more into him.
That’s the thing you loved about getting intimate with Nam-gyu, he was so needy.
One of his legs was trapped between your thighs and Nam-gyu bucked his hips up & down, humping your leg. He broke away from the kiss, releasing such loud sensual whines of desperation.
You began kissing his neck and his eyes rolled to the back of his head, hands clutching your hips to pull you even closer to him.
“Y/n.” You heard a deep voice call next to you.
You looked over to an exposed Thanos laying on the bed stroking himself, “Suck me off.” He commanded.
And this is what you loved about being intimate with Thanos, he was very dominating.
You licked your lips, nodding your head and crawling over between his legs. You grabbed the base of his cock and saw as his eyes glaze over with lust watching you. You licked a strip from where your hand was to his tip and felt him shiver beneath you before taking him into your mouth.
His hand tangled in your hair as you started to bob your head on him. You gagged around him when he shoved you down on his dick more, loving the sounds of you struggling to take him all in.
He released your head and you came up for air, a string of saliva being the only thing connecting you two at the moment. You wiped your mouth and Thanos sat up, swiftly unbuttoning your top.
You gasped at the cold air hitting your exposed skin, your nipples rock hard from it.
Thanos attached his mouth to one while his hand messaged the other. Your hand went to his hair lightly pulling on it. You felt vibrations against your skin as you heard him moan and noticed Nam-gyu, now fully naked as well, behind him. His arm was reached around Thanos’s waist, stroking his dick.
Thanos stopped what he was doing to you and turned around to focus on Nam-gyu. Attaching their lips as he fondled with his balls. Nam-gyu’s nails dragged down Thanos’s chest and he hissed into the kiss.
Thanos then detached his lips to spit in his hand. He reached down stroking Nam-guy’s leaking cock and watched as his mouth hung open, releasing such pretty moans for him as he looked at him through half lided eyes.
“God such a needy fucking slut for me, huh ?”
He whined, nodding his head as his hands hung onto his shoulders for support as he came undone; his cum spilling onto Thanos’s cock and lower abdomen.
Thanos grabbed him by the neck, his face only a few centimeters from his. “You better clean this shit up.”
“Y-yes sir.” Nam-gyu squeaked out.
Thanos released him, throwing him against the mattress. You watched as Thanos layed down and Nam-gyu quickly got up and crawled on all fours licking the cum from around his stomach.
You bit your lip at the sight, Nam-gyu was usually a shit talker who acted like he was a tough domineer but when it came to sex he was the complete opposite. Such a submissive, needy partner.
Nam-gyu was about to lick the cum off of Thanos’s dick but he stopped him. “Y/n-“ He used two fingers to motion you over and you listened crawling over to replace Nam-guy’s position next to him.
“Yes ?” You asked.
He rested his hands behind his head, “I want you to ride me.” You broke eye contact to look over at his cock that was decorated in Nam-gyu’s cum.
“Now.” He growled.
You swallowed, removing your shorts/underwear and positioning yourself on top of him. You grabbed his dick to line up with your entrance and felt the sticky substance coat your fingers. Nam-gyu’s cum mixed with your arousel made it very easy for you to sink yourself down onto him.
“That’s a good girl.” He moaned, placing his hands on your hips helping you bounce on his cock.
Your pace quickened when he slapped your ass with one of his hands and you moaned out his name. You felt him twitch inside of you and knew he was close. He pulled you into his chest and swiftly rolled you over so he was now ontop of you.
You didn’t have time to think as he thrusted himself into you, deeper and quicker this time. Your mouth hung open, moans falling out of it one after the other.
“Gonna cum.” Thanos grunted.
“P-please.” You begged, feeling yourself too close to the edge as well.
“Please what kitten ?” Asked, “You want me to cum in this tight pussy of yours, hmm ?”
You clenched around him in response and he groaned. “I need to hear you say kitten.”
Your nails marked up his back as you tried to form words, “P-p-please c-cum in me…”
He caressed his thumb on your cheek, “Such a good girl for me.” He said with a smile, “How could I say no ?”
His hand then went to your throat as he did three last hard thrust into you before spilling his warm cum into you. You came at the feeling of his cum filling you like a pastry and spilling out of you when he pulled out.
You never worried about either one them getting you pregnant because of all the drugs they took. Thanos layed beside you, instantly wrapping his arm around your waist with his head in the nap of your neck. It only took a few seconds for him to start snoring softly into your ear and you giggled a bit.
Nam-gyu who was fast asleep after Thanos had jerked him off; unconsciously rolled over pressing his chest against his back and you smiled at how cute they looked while sleeping. It didn’t take long for you to follow suit.
————
In the morning, it was your day off so you didn’t care too much that you slept in. The clock read 12:34 PM and you groaned as you stretched your limbs. You felt your ass damp and looked beneath the sheets suddenly remembering the events that took place last night.
You looked over and noticed the boys were no longer in your bed. You yawned, walking over to your bathroom and took a shower. Once done you threw on your clothes for the day and walked out your room into the kitchen. It smelled of eggs, bacon, hashbrowns making your mouth water.
“Well look who finally decided to wake up.” Nam-gyu snarked and you stuck out your tongue at him taking the chair across from him at the table.
Thanos scrapped the eggs out of the pan onto Nam-gyu’s plate that was full of food already. He pointed his spatula at you, “How many eggs you want ?”
“Two.” You said holding up two fingers as well.
Nam-gyu took a bite of his food and then stood up, “Mmm, before I eat I’m going to throw your sheets in the washer real quick.”
You nodded your head, “Thank you.” You called after him.
It wasn’t long before Nam-gyu returned and Thanos had made you and him a plate of food. Thanos sat in the chair next to Nam-gyu and everyone chomped down on their food.
“Do you need money for a plan B ?” Thanos asked, with an eyebrow raised.
You shook your head with a chuckle, “No. I’d be lucky enough if either of your guys’s sperm lasted two days in me.”
Nam-gyu looked at you confused, “What do you mean ?”
“You guys are so hopped up on drugs that your sperm cells aren’t the best. Even if they got me pregnant, I’d most likely have a miscarriage after a couple of weeks and not even know it.”
Nam-gyu’s eyes looked concerned, “Damn… that’s-uh kind of depressing.”
You shrugged your shoulders, “It’s not like you’re starting a family anytime soon and when you want to just slow down on the narcotics, yeah ?” He nodded his head going back to eating his food.
Once finished you set your dishes in the washer and thanked Thanos for the delicious food he prepared. You told them that you were going to go get your nails done and to not wait up for you. Thanos stopped you at the door handing you a wad of cash.
“What’s this ?” You asked.
“Money for your nails.”
You tried giving him the money back, “I’ve got it, you don’t have to-“
He shook his head, “I insist.”
“Really Thanos I don’t-“
He smirked, “Let me spoil you.”
You smiled, rolling your eyes at him, “Thank you.” You pressed a kiss to his cheek and walked out the door as he shut and locked it behind you.

a lovesick girl's guide to heartbreak
˗ˋˏ ♡ ˎˊ˗ ex!heeseung x reader hell is not the same without you... summary: you thought everything was going well 3 months after your breakup with your ex-boyfriend!heeseung until you realized that maybe you miss him more than you hated being with him.
warnings: profanity, toxic relationships, morally grey characters, huge red flags in dating, consensual skinship, kissing, overall 18+ wc: 2332
something was missing, like there was a looming feeling that there was something absent from your daily life and as hard as you tried to push down that feeling and act like it wasn’t there; it was all your mind drifted off to.
the missing thing in question? heeseung.
your boyfriend of 2 years.. ex-boyfriend that is. the two of you had broken up just a few months ago and since that day you haven’t been able to stop thinking about him. sure a lot of the thoughts that surrounded heeseung that swam in your mind were negative and left a sour taste on your tongue, but then it would lead to you thinking about all of the sweet things he’d do to make up for the bitterness he put you through.
˗ˋˏ ♡ ˎˊ˗
“why can’t you just listen to me?” you shouted from the top of your lungs as heeseung rolled his eyes with an aggravated sigh. “i’d listen to you if you weren’t acting like this! you’re so emotional!” he yelled back.
˗ˋˏ ♡ ˎˊ˗
several memories replayed in your head involving heeseung, you wished you didn’t have to think about it but after you left him it felt like that was what was left of you. like you were no longer the person that you were when you were with heeseung. like he took something with him when you broke up and has refused to give it back.
you just weren’t sure what it was.
it shouldn’t be like this but you’re left in this limbo of uncertainty and heeseung was the only way of adding any solace or clarity, but he was no longer there. you hadn’t seen him since that night, broken dishes, cracked picture frames, and a hole in your chest where your heart is supposed to be. your relationship with heeseung started off how a lot of relationships start, it was great. he was sweet and so were you, your love overflowed into one another and it felt like everything was sunshine and rainbows and then one day, it wasn’t. you were spending nights crying yourself to sleep while heeseung would leave you to cry because he didn’t want to deal with the emotional mess that you were and still are.
that’s how your breakup went, you cried, you both yelled, and heeseung walked away. it was like a routine, a deadly cycle that neither of you could get out of until three months ago. this cycle was endless and exhausting yet it was all that you knew. as fucked up as it sounds, you found comfort knowing that you had heeseung on your side even if it didn’t seem like it.
even when he would walk away from you…
even when you felt like he was ignoring you to prove a point…
even when it felt like you were the one person that he hated most in this world…
no matter what, it felt like heeseung was always by your side. like a shadow that you couldn’t feel but was always there.
˗ˋˏ ♡ ˎˊ˗
your phone sat in your trembling hands as you contemplated on whether or not you should hit the send button. it was like the button on your phone had a strong gravitational pull and you found your thumb hovering over the button, the tiniest sliver of space between the skin of your thumb and the glass screen of your phone.
there wasn’t even any time to process your final thoughts before your thumb was making contact with the cold glass and the familiar sound of the text being sent rings throughout your bedroom, much louder than it should’ve sounded.
like it was an echo that rang in the room as a reminder of the decision you’ve just made.
hi hee.. i dont even know why i’m sending this im just so lost. i didnt ever think that i would be missing you the way i do right now but you’re all ive been thinking about the last few months. i miss the way you hugged me when i would cry.. granted i’d be crying because of you. i miss when you would whisper sweet things into my ear when my brain got too loud and would lead to arguments. i just miss you so much and you might not even respond to this but i just.. i miss you..
whether it was a good or bad decision however, was still out for debate.
surprisingly enough, another familiar sound rings throughout your room, indicating that you have received a text message.
hey pretty girl. i’m so happy to hear from you, can i come over?
it was short but definitely effective because you were responding in seconds and telling him that you’d leave the door unlocked to which he tells you that he still has a copy of your house key and would be there in no time.
your heart was pounding a lot harder than moments before, like you had just put yourself in a life or death situation and in a lot of ways you did. death more than life. being with heeseung felt like two things, heaven and hell. it was either bliss or chaos whenever you were with him and neither heaven or hell was the same without him.
˗ˋˏ ♡ ˎˊ˗
you had decided to change into your pajamas that just happened to be heeseung’s favorite. a pair of silk pajamas that barely left any imagination of what you looked like underneath; hence why it was his favorite. you’re brought out of your thoughts when you hear a knock on your bedroom door as it slightly creaks open, revealing heeseung who looked like he was going through just as much as you were.
it was slightly comforting to know that in the time you were broken up until now, you weren’t the only one suffering.
you muttered a whispered “hi” as he walked towards your figure sitting on the bed. the closer heeseung got the more visible his eyebags were. he looked like he hadn’t slept in days, his hair a mess, and he was wearing the same hoodie that he was wearing when you told him to “get the fuck out i fucking hate you” all those months ago.
“hi, pretty girl. are you ok?” he asks, even though you both knew that you were the furthest from “okay”.
he stands right in front of you and gently cups your face to look up at him, his touch instantly brings you warmth and a sense of comfort that you wouldn’t associate with him, not for the last year at least.
“hee… i miss you.. but-” you begin to say and he interrupts you by softly rubbing your cheek with his thumb. a simple action that brings chills down your spine as you think about all of the other times he soothed your mind with that gesture. melting into his touch wasn’t something you weren’t accustomed to but this all felt so foreign and uncertain even if you knew where it was going.
you were now back to the cycle that you were once in.
“but?” he says, squatting down so that you two were somewhat on the same level.
“i don’t know if it’s a good idea to want you. i miss you everyday that you’re gone but it doesn’t bring comfort knowing how much you hurt me..” a hiccup slips past your lips as you speak and heeseung is finally seeing what he’s done. you looked utterly broken and he knew it was because of him. his pretty girl that he loved so much was shattered and ruined because of him and he wished that he had realized it sooner.
“baby.. shh.. its okay.” heeseungs says, pulling you into his arms as you cry into his chest. his hoodie getting soaked as you let out your emotions that he shamed you for in the past. “everything is okay, baby..” hee coos, rubbing the back of your head gently as you wrap your arms around him.
if heeseung was being honest, he didn’t know what to do in this situation and it was only making him realize further how shitty he was. he barely knows how to comfort the girl he loved so much and it was breaking his heart. it may seem selfish that he was reveling in his own discernment and that he’s trying to wrap his head around his past mistakes instead of the one currently crying in his lap.
“i’m sorry, yn.. i’m sorry, please stop crying, baby..” he whispers into your ear, hugging you even tighter than before as if you were going to slip away from his grasp any second now.
he doesn’t know what to do now and he didn’t then.
it was like you guys had each other wrapped around one another’s finger, knowing that one way or the other, one of you would crawl back and start the cycle all over again no matter how many times you may think it’s finally over.
the two of you stayed that way for one moment, in one another’s embrace, your heartbeats syncing up with one another and for once in a long time; your hearts were in the same place. you were finally on the same page when it came to your love for each other even if it meant being in a place of uncertainty… you were sure of one thing, the love you had for each other, if you could even call it that, was something you couldn’t lose.
“heeseung.. will you stay?” coming out of your lips as you slightly pull away from him, your eyes originally intending to land on his doe eyes but instead they fall onto his plump lips that glistened just the right amount from the small light in your bedroom. “i’ll stay only if you want me to.” he responds and you nod eagerly, like it was the only thing you could want.
and in a lot of ways, it was.
˗ˋˏ ♡ ˎˊ˗
that night you slept in heeseung’s arms, a place you once vowed to never return to but as a cycle rounds itself, you found that his embrace was the place you were the most familiar with even if loving heeseung only brought uncertainty and a sense of unfamiliarity that brought you so much dread that you never know if the world you were living in was a heaven that wasn’t anything like you expected or a hell that was much worse than the words you’d hear on a sunday morning.
however, no matter where you were; you wanted heeseung to be there because none of it would be the same without him.
˗ˋˏ ♡ ˎˊ˗
“good morning, pretty girl.” heeseung says, his voice was low and a bit raspy as he pulled himself up from laying next to you. you stirred as he readjusts himself, turning to face him and he’s got a smile on his face you haven’t seen in a while. a smile you loved so much and the longer the two of you were together… it began to fade away. it only appeared for special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries, then one day; heeseung just never smiled the same way ever again.
you sat up, wrapping your blanket around yourself as you situated yourself in front of heeseung who did the same. “hee.. what are we doing?” you asked, the events of last night replaying in your head as you recall crying into heeseung’s chest and him trying his best to comfort you.
“whatever you want, my love.” heeseung was good at that. saying all the right things to make it seem like everything was just that, alright. he would soothe your worries with empty promises, a soft rub on your back, and a gentle kiss on your lips.
a kiss… something you craved from heeseung.
“we’re too toxic for each other… but i don’t think i ever want to lose you. you’re all i’ve ever known and i feel even more lost when i’m without you. there’s so many signs that tell me to turn around, to stop, that this is just a dead end, but if i just keep ignoring the signs– it always leads me back to you.
it always leads back to you, hee..
i don’t ever want to lose you but… can we even do this without falling apart?”
heeseung looks at you momentarily, eyes flickering from your own eyes to your lips, something he also craved to feel.
“you’ll never lose me, not even if you push me away… i’ll always pull you back no matter what. i don’t care what anyone says, they don’t know us like we know each other. the way i know your brain and body… and even soul.
you’re mine and i’m yours, even if it destroys us.” heeseung’s face has gotten a lot closer with each word he speaks, nose slightly grazing yours.
“i love you, ok?” he says and after a long time, you believe it. like he was willing to fix up any of the issues you two had if it meant that he could hold you every night as the two of you drift off to sleep. your dreams being filled with your happiest moments with each other instead of the nightmare of losing one another.
you jump onto heeseung’s lap to which startles him at first but your hear his low chuckle in your ear as he embraces you in his arms. you would’ve said i love you back but you weren’t sure if you would mean it or if it would even change anything.
you guess you’ll just have to see in a few weeks to know if things have changed and if the cycle is finally broken. your life was nothing without heeseung and whether or not you loved him was uncertain– you did, however, know that nothing was the same without him.

745 | choi seunghyun (t.o.p) x reader
pairing: choi seunghyun (t.o.p) x f!reader
warnings: smut, oral, humping, dirty talk, name calling, a little bit of roleplay (kind of?)
note: i hit a wall with what i’ve been writing so i thought trying something new would help get some things out of my system. it’s a quick one, but i hope you all enjoy!
———————
“What do you think?” Seunghyun asks, watching you press your hand to his chest, your fingers gently tracing the skull on his bomber jacket. “Does it look good?” he asks, almost too innocently, and you chuckle, thinking if he only knew what you had on your mind.
“Mhm,” you mutter. “Really good.” You gently shove him backward so he is sitting on the sofa now, peering up at you with an surprised yet amused look on his face. “When are you wearing this?”
“Tomorrow, in Osaka.” You nod slowly, bunching your skirt around your thighs and pulling your panties down your legs so they pool at your feet. “What are you doing?” he asks, eyes darting over your body. You choose not to respond, but straddle his thigh instead, letting out a gentle groan at the feeling of his pants pressing to your bare skin. “Babe,” he mutters, running one hand through his hair while the other rests on your hip. “What are you...?”
“I want to sit on your lap,” you whisper, pressing your hand to his chest as you slowly grind yourself against his thigh. The rough feeling of his pants generating friction with your slickness as you move, getting you even wetter than you thought possible.
“Fuck,” he breathes, guiding your body to keep grinding. “You need me this bad, hm?”
“Tell me that I’m a good girl,” you plead, your hand fisting his jacket so you can pull yourself a little closer to him.
“Have you been good enough for me to call you that?” Seunghyun always knows how to tease you even while you’re teasing him. He makes you feel like you’re going crazy with desire for him without even trying.
“No, I’ve been bad,” you reply. He hums thoughtfully, something that quickly turns into a sharp intake of breath when your leg that sits between his thighs finally presses to his crotch. “Don’t tell my boyfriend,” you whimper. For a moment, Seunghyun doesn’t catch on, a look of confusion plastered on his face because he’s your boyfriend — until he realizes you want to play.
“Tell me,” he rasps, staring into your eyes. “How bad have you been?”
“I sucked my boyfriend’s dick in the middle of a movie theater last month,” you whisper, licking your lips; Seunghyun grins, clearly reliving the moment between the two of you. “Then the next week, I let him use a remote controlled vibrator on me when we went to dinner with his friends.”
“Hmm, now that is very naughty,” he says, his voice steady and deep. “What’s the dirtiest thing you’ve done?” You bite your lip, trying to mask the knowing smirk that begins to spread across your face. Seunghyun notices this look and grabs your thighs with both hands, maneuvering you so that you are now straddling his lap entirely. As soon as your heat presses to him, feeling his erection through his pants, you let out a small whimper. “Tell me, baby,” he whispers, fingers curling around your hips. “And maybe I’ll give you what you want.”
“At the beginning of the year,” you start, rolling your hips against him. “My boyfriend was on tour for a few months and I didn’t get to see him...so I bought some really slutty lingerie...and FaceTimed him while I fucked myself with the toys he bought me.”
“Mmm, tell me something you haven’t told your boyfriend,” he whispers, his eyes heavy with desire but his face still composed. “I’ll bet you’ve done something that you’re too scared to tell him.”
“I watched some videos of him on stage and I touched myself,” you admit, your voice weak as the coil begins to tighten in your stomach. “I told him I wouldn’t do it if he wasn’t around, but I couldn’t help myself.”
“You love to touch yourself when he’s not around,” Seunghyun breathes, shaking his head. “Did you forget...when you visited your boyfriend, and he was busy with rehearsals...so you fingered yourself in his hotel room because you were too horny to wait?” Your face flushes and you place your hands on his shoulders, grinding down harder against him. “What happened after that?” Seunghyun asks, eyes glued to your lips. “Hmm?”
“You…” All breath escapes you for a moment as you feel yourself dripping onto Seunghyun’s lap at the memory. “He showed up,” you gasp.
“And you were moaning like a slut, isn’t that right?” Seunghyun asks, helping you grind faster, able to see how close to the edge you are. “Putting on a show for me?”
“Yes,” you breathe. You tighten your legs around his body, moving faster and harder, desperate for your release. “Fuck, I’m gonna come,” you groan, pressing your face against his neck.
“All over my lap?” he whispers, kissing your head. “You’re right: you are really fucking bad.” You gasp and whimper, movements becoming far too sloppy to have rhythm; you slow, unable to keep your pace. “Oh, baby,” he mutters. “Do you need me to finish you off?”
“Please,” you whine, clinging to Seunghyun as you struggle to keep grinding on him. You hear a chuckle rumble in his chest — he’s always amused by the way you beg for him.
“Listen to you,” he whispers. “Always so good for me...no matter what. My good girl.”
Without warning, Seunghyun pushes you from his lap so you are on your back on the sofa. He quickly moves to kneel on the floor between your legs, keeping eye contact with you as he presses his mouth to your clit. With a sharp intake of breath, you thread your fingers through Seunghyun’s hair, keeping him close as he toys with your clit.
“Fuck,” you gasp, as Seunghyun slides two fingers inside of you. He hooks his arm under your thigh and hoists your leg over his shoulder. “I’m so close…” He hums against you, thrusting his fingers deeper and faster, his tongue relentless in its torture.
Your release hits you in a slow wave, flowing through your whole body until you can feel it in your fingertips. You don’t bother covering your mouth to silence your moans, because you know Seunghyun loves to know how good he makes you feel, and he doesn’t care who else hears it. With your hands on the back of his head, you grind against his face, his moans vibrating against you until he works out everything you have to give him.
“Jesus Christ,” you rasp, relaxing against the sofa and releasing your grip on your boyfriend. “We should really try roleplaying as strangers one day.”
“Yeah, that was hot,” Seunghyun says with a smirk, licking his lips and fingers clean. “What made you get so turned on to begin with?”
“I don’t know,” you pant. “You looked so sexy…I couldn’t help myself.” He stands to his feet again, looking down at the crotch of his pants to see the dampness that you left there. It would make you blush if you didn’t see how hard he is from what you did.
“Hmm, you definitely know how to make a mess,” he mutters. You sit up from the sofa and take hold of his hips, pulling you to stand between your thighs. Giving him a sultry look from under your eyelashes, you begin to slowly unbuckle his belt.
“Let me clean you up,” you whisper, unbuttoning his pants.
“You’re such a good girl.”

On the Stanley hit man thing(please note 1: prices are at least semi accurate to the 70s and 2: I have no idea how hitmen work and there’s only so many google searches I’m willing to have in my history. Also the name of The Guy is a reference to an actual person who was related to an actual big US government fuck up):
Rubbing soap and water into well-worn gloves in some gas station bathroom in the middle of the night was, at this point, a new normal for Stanley. There were better ways to do this, he knew that, but patience and a horrifying amount of soap did the job just fine. Better than leaving the gloves on the ground where someone might stumble across them and realise there are small dried splatters on them.
The best way to get blood out of fabric was to wash it out quickly. Flood it with water, then scrub soap into it and try to wear through it with paper towel after paper towel until the water runs clear. It was a similar method to removing paint from a roller or shirt. That meant that Stan could just pretend he’d messed up on some project, for an art class or something. Or was messing around with his brother's paints. There was only so well that could work after years of the same routine, but it still worked so there was no reason to change it.
As he ran the gloves under the faucet again, the water flowed only carrying suds. No more damning pinkish hue. Now he just had to dry them, and that could be done back in the Stanley-Mobile.
First he’d have to leave the gas station. Then call the number given to him last week when he got the job and tell them it was done. He’d learn where to meet them to get the back half of his payment, then he could see how to split it. Enough to keep going went to him, a little bit went towards saving in case of an emergency, and the rest went to his dork of a brother.
The first step, out of all of them, was always the hardest. There are only so many ways you can hide sopping wet gloves, especially when it’s warm enough out that you can’t just wear a bulky jacket with inner pockets.
He folded them in half, longways, and put one in each of his pant pockets. It was as inconspicuous as he could get.
Stan hurried to the door of the bathroom, before opening it at a much more reasonable speed and meandered out of the gas station store. He took special care to walk in plain view on his way out. As much as he’d love to skirt around the edge of the store to keep out of view, that would only look suspicious and risk drawing attention.
As the store door closed behind him he let his shoulders drop slightly and fished his gloves out of his pocket as well as his keys. His car was parked right outside so there was no need to separate the actions.
Unlocking the door he sat down in the driver’s seat. He already had a small towel on the passenger side of the bench seats. He dropped the gloves on the towel before swinging his door shut, sticking his key in the ignition, and starting the engine. There was a pay phone a few blocks down, but having just left the store he should still move his car.
It was funny how despite about… three years, he wants to say, he still was always on edge after a job. It made sense, considering that the jobs he took consisted of killing people, but it was still a lot of time to adjust to it. At least the pay was good, and he had ways to get through the actual murder part.
Just line up the shot, and count to three. If you make it to three you might chicken out and fail, or if you aren’t sure of aim you might panic since they keep breathing after the shot. Not to mention you leave a distinctive trace of who’s done it with the bullet. But guns left less room for regret and letting them live than knives or fists. It helped that he pulled the trigger on two, before his mind could catch up to what he was doing. By the time he was weighing whether or not he should do it, he was already checking to see if any blood was on him. Usually just his hands if he got close, but on occasion a drop or two would land elsewhere on him.
Shoes he filed the treads off left no recognizable prints as he would walk away.
The drive to the pay phone was silent beyond the low rattling of the engine. Shifting gears and parking the car was so automatic that if he was asked if he’d done it or not he genuinely wouldn’t know the answer. He took a few coins out of the cup holder and a note from where it was tucked into his front visor.
The air had the everpresent heat of summer, only cut through by a slight wind. He vaguely wondered if it was similar weather where Ford was. Sure Indiana was northeast of Arkansas, but it couldn’t account for that great of a change in weather. Especially since there would be enough plants to keep the heat in at night as opposed to if Ford was in the desert out West. Ford should have been in the desert out West, or at least just near it. He’d driven through the west coast once, it went from desert to a small bit of forest by the coast.
He slotted a coin into the phone and punched in the numbers written on the little sheet of paper. It rang for a few moments before someone answered with a tired ‘hello’. Made sense, it was probably around midnight.
“Is this S Higgins?” Stanley asked, staring up at the sky. The town was big enough that the lights faded some of the stars out. Probably for the best, Ford always liked the stars and it was best to not think about Ford when on the call with a client. His voice got too soft, and when your voice gets soft suddenly everything is up for negotiation.
“It is. I take it, you've done it?” The voice on the other end of the line replies. Always with euphemisms and never saying what they asked for. They wanted someone dead and now they’re dead, and he’s the only one that has to face it.
“Yup. You can check; Kelly on York street- dead center of Warren.” Stan says. He knows they won’t check, but it’s always best to give the information so there’s never any doubt he’s done it. It’ll be in the headlines anyways, Warren doesn’t seem like a place where a double homicide goes unreported on. A lovey dovey couple who just so happened to know a few details problematic to an ongoing political career.
“Is Ray’s in Monticello in three days good for you?” Came from the phone, crackly and disconnected. Three days, enough time for news and an investigation to start. Also enough time to plan out where to go next. There were certain people who talked, and it was through that grapevine his name got spread around. Or more accurately his license plate and car’s description did, it was not exactly inconspicuous, and with that ways to contact him. He just had to go wherever people who knew people that might want someone dead were. So pretty much anywhere, but he’d been thinking about seeing New Orleans so maybe he’d head there. And if nothing came up he was certain to find something in Mobile.
“Around lunch?” He asked. The least suspicious time of day. You could openly talk about his work at lunch and it would be taken as a joke. Because it’s the middle of the day and no actual plots could ever take place in the middle of the day.
“See you then.” The words came out and were quickly followed by a clack and silence. He set the phone up and made his way back to the Stanley-Mobile.
Monticello was less than twenty miles away. He could get there and get a motel room that night. But Warren was a small town and the newcomer disappearing the night of two murders would put the cops on his tail, so he swung around and headed back towards the motel he’d gotten a room at here.
The fact he didn’t immediately collapse meant he must have been running on adrenaline, and so rather than fight it for sleep he got his things packed. He’d sleep in and leave at a reasonable time in the morning before heading to Monticello. That seemed ideal.
———
Over the next couple days the only notable occurrences were the headlines about what he’d done, and him visiting the Allen House. From murder to the suicide house tourist trap. Way to go him!
Stanley had to admit though, while the ‘hauntedness’ of the Allen House left something to be desired he enjoyed the fun romp. He could do it better if he wanted to, but that would mean getting a house which would probably require legal documents that were left back in the apartment on top of a pawn shop in Glass Shard Beach, New Jersey. Or he could do it illegally, which was much more likely, but at this point too much of a hassle when his current gig worked just fine.
Noon was approaching though so he turned on the Stanley-Mobile and headed towards Ray’s.
The diner was somewhat cosy despite having a metal back wall that looked like that of a storage container. Probably the warm lighting, benches, and soft music playing from a radio on the counter. He grabbed a table by a window, staring out of it to wait.
After a few dozen minutes of nothing he decided to go ahead and order some fries and a burger, making sure it wasn’t enough he could reasonably eat. He got a to-go bag after picking at them for what he deemed a good amount of time.
It was maybe another half hour or a bit longer when he watched a slightly too-clean Pacer roll up. A man who looked like he’d just been told what ‘casual’ meant last night stepped out and headed towards the diner. That was, without a doubt, Higgins then.
When he walked in the door Stanley waved him over, calling his name with a slight cheer as the man came over.
“You did… the job.” Higgins muttered, pulling a chair opposite Stanley’s spot on a padded bench and shuffling to sit down.
“I did. It’s on the news if you need to check.” Stanley said, leaning back slightly.
“I… I already saw the news. I have the money.” Higgins said, pausing to hum and haw before continuing, “Three thousand, right? Here, in cash.” Higgins said, reaching into a pocket on the inside of his clearly not weather appropriate jacket. And right. Stanley really should remember to get checks and not cash. Checks were easy to hide, especially since he went about being a contract killer in the dumbest way. Instead of just getting in with one group and staying there with a consistent pay and a good public facing business set up for him, he traveled around and essentially worked commission. Granted he got his start making enemies, so maybe staying in one place wasn’t the best. Especially when he could then work for just about anyone he deemed not an immediate risk, instead of just one organization. No matter what though, he should get better about checks instead of cash. Too late now though. Stanley held his palm out and felt a small stack of hundred dollar bills hit his hand, with no small amount of worry. He clutched the bills and tilted his palm down, hiding them from any quick glances.
Stanley dropped the bills into the to go bag as he reached in, and pulled out a small container with the fries.
“I have extra if you want.” He said, opening the lid and turning them towards Higgins. The man seemed to writhe in his chair, face morphing into a performance of guilt. He was certainly new to this. Higgins got up with a rushed apology and excuse of having to get back home. Stanley watched him go and placed the fries back in the bag. Well, to the bank then. He should deposit the cash slowly, he knows this, but he’s fairly certain that the new semester is starting m at Backupsmore which means Ford will need to be spending his money on textbooks. Which means Stanley is going to be extra sure to pay for his tuition.
Stanley’s pretty sure he caught an article about Ford and some other guy proving something or other about the universe, and a few more campus newspapers mentioning the two of them spending time together. So his brother finally made a friend! He’d drive up and hug the nerd out of pride if he weren’t certain Ford wouldn’t be too willing to speak to him. He did figure though, that he had enough saved for an emergency that what he’d usually cut out of his pay for à ‘just in case’ could go to Ford’s friend instead. A brief line of phone books and library visits, as well as word of mouth, made it clear that the guy was also the first of his family to go to college. And was riding on a couple scholarships in order to just cover tuition, but probably still had to take out a loan or two. He wasn’t going to risk Ford’s friend having to drop out and leave him alone due to finances.
The face of the bank teller was of mild confusion when he went to deposit five hundred dollars. Just because he wasn’t waiting to deposit the money didn’t mean he was an idiot. He was just going to spend the day hopping between a few banks to do it in chunks. Stil suspicious on paper but he has a current guise of being ‘an artist’ so sudden large deposits because he ‘sold a painting’ at least didn’t get too many questions.
At the end of it all he ended up sending one thousand five hundred to Ford’s annual tuition, so he should be set for a while longer. Though the idiot of a genius was taking twelve different full courses and each individual course has its own lesser tuition so it wasn’t the full semester it would have been if his brother knew how to stop. Frankly that had been the main reason he’d stepped in, Ford probably could have managed the tuition for one or even two or three courses on his own but somewhere in his mind he’d decided that taking twelve was a good idea. Stanley’s sure Ford could have figured it out, but that’s his brother and he didn’t want Ford to have to figure it out.
He sent seven hundred to Ford's friends’ tuition after some double checking names, and so the apparent Fiddleford McGucket had one less thing to worry about.
That meant he had eight thousand remaining, he wouldn’t have to take another job for a while. A long while. Maybe he just goes to New Orleans as a vacation.
~~~~~~
Ford and Fiddleford were staring at the Backupsmore administrator. They’d gone to check up on what they had to pay for tuition, only to find out that not only had Ford’s gotten a significant amount paid(which was becoming an odd yet consistent occurrence) but Fiddleford’s as well.
The money had been wired in, which meant whoever sent it had a known bank account, but had apparently mandated anonymity. As far as the school administrators were aware, it could have been the king of England sending the money.
The walk back to their dorm was shared in stunned silence. It wasn’t until Ford was sitting on his bed that Fiddleford stopped pacing and stared out the window before gripping his hair and yelling, in the whisper yell mandates by shared walls, cried out.
“WHAT in the world is GOIN’ ON.”
Fiddleford turned to Ford, lowering his hands to gesture in confused annoyance.
“Well, we know whoever is sending this must have a lot of money on hand. And we have been covering a lot of neuroscience, and specifically how to alter brains- right? It’s probably some larger entity with stakes in our current research.” Ford posed, though his voice still tilted with unsureness.
“True, but you started getting the payments before the whole tie thing. So there must have been some sort of investment before then.” Fiddleford argued. Ford shrugged.
“I mean, I suppose the sheer number of courses I was taking may have been noteworthy?” He offered.
Fiddleford began to pace muttering to himself, before an idea seemed to strike him.
“Hey, if we can get into the school records and figure out what bank the money has been being wired from, maybe we can call them and ask for information?” Fiddleford suggested. Ford took a moment to think through the idea, before grinning and jumping up.
“Exactly! Even if we can’t get a name, we’ll still get a rough area and we can go through phone books until we find someone who has a ridiculous amount of disposable cash and a vested interest in both of us!” He exclaimed.
They were probably going to have to break into an office or something, hopefully childhood shenanigans with… his childhood shenanigans would help with that.
Bro you need to publish this on ao3 or post it on tumblr or SOMETHING because HOLY SHIT?!??!?!
THIS is exactly what I was imagining for the Au!!! This is fuckkng great!!! I LOVE LOVE THIS AND YOU AND AAAAAAAA
I imagine Fiddleford doesn't really worry about the random money Ford gets until HE starts getting it too. Then yeah he's freaking out because WHAT THE HECK??
I love this you wrote this so well, so nice and omg??? You did research??? That's more than I'd ever do XD
I saw you were asking for requests so... Can you do a Dean/reader where the reader has a boyfriend, Dean has feelings but let's her be happy, then her bf uses her and leads her on. Dean comes to her aide makes her feel loved confesses his feelings fluffy and smutty?
|| ceilings and plaster ||
Pairings: Dean x Reader
Description: Dean knows you have a boyfriend, and yet finds himself wanting you more than ever. When he sees that your significant other is just using you and above all not being faithful, he takes it upon himself to take care of it.
Warnings: Mentions of alcohol and adult themes, language and sexual content. MINORS DNI.
You have been warned. Story continues underneath the line.
Play this song while you listen...and cry really hard...
ceilings, plaster
Your boyfriend, a man by the name of Thomas Devin Monroe, continued to hammer nails into the roof of your house as Dean, your best and closest friend helped him. You knew Dean Winchester to be a fairly hard working man, who definitely knew how to get the job done. So when your boyfriend Thomas needed help, you were so quick to call up Dean who knew a thing or two about construction and fixing things.
The only problem was--was that you could tell that Dean hated your boyfriend. Reasons that were unbeknownst to you entirely.
"Ah, fuck you man!" You heard Thomas holler as you raced outside to see what was the matter.
When you looked up you saw your boyfriend holding his thumb as Dean held the hammer and looked smug as ever.
"Hey...I told you not to put your hand there when I have the hammer and nails." Dean replied. Thomas grumbled a "fuck you" before climbing down the latter.
You calmly walked up to Thomas.
"Let me take a look at it-"
"No. You can tell your fucking asshole of a friend to leave. I already told you I didn't need help with the roof." He hissed brushing past you and into the house.
can't you just make it move faster
You looked up at Dean with your hands on your hips.
"Did you really have to go and do that?" You called up to him. Dean turned his head and craned his neck to look down at you.
"I warned him Y/N." He said. "I really did."
You shook your head with a smile, before you could hear your boyfriend calling you from inside the house.
"I think its best if you go Dean, we can pick this up more tomorrow." Dean sighed and nodded, packing up his toolbox and sliding down the ladder with finesse. He towered over you, with his usual look. His freckles were noticeably more prominent today, and besides smelling like his usual scent of blood, and smoked wood, he smelled much like whiskey and sandalwood. A scent that you favored a lot.
lovely to be sitting here with you
You were mid thought when Dean hugged you goodbye. It was initially quite amusing to see the large man having to bend down to catch you in a tight embrace.
"See you tomorrow Dean." You murmured.
"Mhm." He replied. "You too."
You're kinda cute but it's raining, harder.
A few weeks went by as Dean was on a hunt with his brother and hadn't been around lately, much like your boyfriend who was mostly not around now.
My shoes are now full of water
Thomas wasn't answering his phone when he was supposed to be picking you up from work. So instinctively you asked Dean for a ride. You were soaked head to toe while you shivered typing in Dean's number. The phone rang a couple times before he answered.
"Hey!" You beamed, your teeth chattering.
"Are you outside?" He asks outright. You answered with how you were just waiting on Thomas to come pick you up from work, and that it was just cold.
"Oh...do you need anything?" You were about to answer Dean when Thomas called.
"One second, Thomas is calling." So as you hung up the phone to answer.
"Hell-" You never got to finish your sentence when Thomas spoke.
"I think we should break up..." You froze, not really understanding at first.
"It's not working out, Y/N. I just can't be with someone like you..." He continued. "You should probably find someone else to come pick you up from work, because I am a little busy at the moment." Thomas said that last part as a half-moan and chuckle. Which was how you also came to the realization that he was currently cheating on you with someone else.
The rain poured on while you chose to hang up the phone on Thomas. Overwhelmed you sat down on the sidewalk, getting drenched to the bone. You cried hard into the wet sleeves of your coat. wiping rain water from your eyes, calling Dean back, the phone rang before going to voicemail.
You tried Sam's phone, answering on the first ring.
"What's up Y/N?" He asked, a little concerned by the tone of your voice.
"Is Dean there with you?" Sam hummed.
"No, actually, he said he was going somewhere, are you sure you're okay?" You lied and told Sam that you were okay before ending the call.
You sighed tossing your phone into your pocket and hiding your face into your hands while the rain continued to drench you. You needed a moment to take all of this in. The state of your relationship was in shambles, the weight of how overwhelmed you were hung heavy on your heart.
Before long, you heard the revving of an engine and the sound of the door shutting.
Lovely to be rained on with you
"Y/N..." You glanced up at the sound of your name. Dean's worried face came into view while you buried your face into his chest. Everything came onto you all at once.
But it's
So short and you're driving me home
Dean had gotten you comfortable in his car, driving you home. Your head leaned against the window looking out, as beads of rain water dripped from both the window outside and from you onto his seat and floor mats.
"I'm sorry, Dean... I'm ruining your seat." You cried.
He reached out to grip your thigh with his hand.
"I don't mind." He said softly. "I'm happy that you're safe." He added.
And I don't want to leave
But I have to go
You slip silently out of his car as he comes around to help you out. His warmth that emitted from him made you shiver again, looking up at him.
You kiss me in your car
His eyes eyed your lips before looking up into your eyes. You looked away before he leaned down, capturing your lips in his. You close your eyes, arms reaching to wrap around his neck as he pulled you up into his arms. You pull away...
"Dean..."
"Y/N..." He answered. "Was it too much?"
You shook your head and pulled him back in for more.
Bedsheets, no clothes
Touch me like nobody else does
Feeling Dean Winchester in between your legs was something you never even imagined, yet here he was, your best friend, making you unravel and cum onto his relentless, empowering thrusts. He had one hand on your headboard, gripping it like a vice, the other hand caging you in as he fucked you. Your nails dug into his scarred back while he hissed.
He then moved to kiss you once more, then to kissing your forehead. His hands intertwined with yours as you felt his cock twitch inside you. Dean looked spent as he tiredly thrusted more and more into you, moaning "I love you's" to you. Something you hadn't heard much lately.
"Dean..." You cried out again, reaching your climax. "Dean!" As you came, crashing down, feeling your arousal dripping lewdly. Dean was next to reach his own. You felt him give another thrust before releasing into you. Holding you tightly against him, he stared into your eyes as he did so, giving another soft kiss, another one after that, then another "I love you."
You felt hot tears come flooding before the two of you laughed as he hugged you tightly to him.
Lovely to just lay here with you...
"I've waited so long for you, Y/N...." You heard his mutter, his fingertips brushing your bare hip. Turning to nuzzle his neck with your nose, you pressed a kiss to his throat.
"Me too..."
Katarina x f! reader - Arcane
Synopsis:
You knew Katarina would overreact. She always did when it came to your safety. That’s why, after a mission gone slightly wrong, you made the conscious decision not to tell her about the injury you sustained. It wasn’t that bad—just a deep cut along your ribs. Nothing life-threatening, nothing you couldn’t handle.
So, you did what any reasonable person would do: you cleaned it up, wrapped it tightly, and went about your day like nothing had happened.
You thought you had gotten away with it. You thought Katarina would never notice.
You were very, very wrong.
Because when she did find out, she didn’t just get mad—she lost it.
And suddenly, the cut on your side wasn’t the biggest problem anymore.
The moment you stepped back into the house, you could already tell Katarina was in a mood.
She stood in the center of the living room, arms crossed, her emerald eyes locked onto you the second you walked through the door. Her gaze swept over you with calculated sharpness, assessing, scanning for anything out of the ordinary.
You kept your face neutral, your movements steady.
“Finally,” she muttered, rolling her shoulders. “You were gone longer than expected.”
You shrugged, making your way toward the bedroom. “Got held up.”
That was technically true. You had gotten held up—just not in the way she thought. The mission had been simple, but things had taken an unexpected turn, and in the chaos, you had taken a blade to the side. It wasn’t deep enough to be life-threatening, but it was deep enough to be a problem if you weren’t careful.
But you had been careful. You had cleaned the wound, wrapped it tightly beneath your shirt, and made sure to move as normally as possible on the way home.
You had this under control.
Or so you thought.
Because the moment you stepped past her, Katarina’s fingers shot out, wrapping around your wrist in a firm grip.
Your stomach dropped.
She frowned, her eyes narrowing as she pulled you back toward her. “Why are you walking like that?”
Shit.
“I’m not walking like anything.” You forced a casual expression, willing yourself not to wince as her sharp gaze flickered over you again.
Katarina’s eyes darkened slightly. “You are,” she said, voice laced with suspicion. “You’re stiff. And you’re favoring your right side.”
Damn it.
You kept your expression even, slipping into a well-practiced lie. “I’m just tired. It was a long mission.”
For a second, you thought she bought it.
Then, without warning, her hand shot out, pressing firmly against your ribs.
A sharp, agonizing pain exploded through your side.
You barely managed to choke back a gasp, your entire body flinching violently away from her touch.
And that was it. That was all it took.
Katarina’s entire expression shifted.
Her eyes flashed with something dangerous—something wild and furious as she stared at you, her hand still hovering in the air where she had touched you.
“You’re hurt.”
It wasn’t a question.
Your pulse skyrocketed. “It’s nothing—”
“You lied to me.”
Fuck.
Before you could react, Katarina moved.
In a blur of motion, she had you backed against the nearest wall, her hands gripping your arms, her face mere inches from yours.
Her breathing was sharp, uneven, her emerald eyes burning with something raw. “Take off your shirt.”
Your face flamed. “Katarina—”
“Now.”
You hesitated, trying to think of a way out of this, but the look on her face made it clear—there was no way out.
Sighing, you relented. With slow, careful movements, you peeled your shirt off, revealing the hastily wrapped bandages underneath.
Katarina’s breath hitched.
For a long moment, she said nothing.
Then, her fingers gently reached out, tracing the edges of the bloodied bandage with an almost haunted look in her eyes.
“…How bad is it?” Her voice was quiet, but there was something lethal lurking beneath it.
“It’s just a cut,” you murmured. “I handled it.”
Katarina’s jaw clenched.
She grabbed the bandage and began unwrapping it with practiced ease. You didn’t protest—there was no point anymore. She worked in silence, her lips pressed into a tight line as she revealed the deep, still-angry wound along your ribs.
Her fingers trembled.
For the first time, she looked scared.
“You should’ve told me,” she muttered, her voice barely above a whisper.
You sighed, placing a hand over hers. “I didn’t want to worry you.”
Her eyes snapped up, furious. “That’s not your decision to make.”
You exhaled, exhaustion starting to set in. “Katarina—”
She snapped.
“Do you have any idea what would’ve happened if that cut was just a little deeper?” Her voice was shaking. “Do you know what it would’ve done to me if you didn’t come home at all?”
Your chest tightened.
You had expected her to be angry. You had expected her to yell.
But this—this fear in her voice, this desperation in her eyes—this was different.
You softened. “I’m okay,” you whispered.
Katarina’s hands clenched into fists before she let out a slow, controlled breath. She carefully reached for the nearby medical supplies, pulling out fresh bandages. “Sit down,” she muttered.
You obeyed, letting her kneel beside you as she cleaned the wound with gentle precision.
Her fingers, usually so steady, still trembled slightly.
You watched her, your heart aching. “Katarina…”
She didn’t look up. “I don’t want to talk about it.”
“Katarina.”
She paused, her shoulders tense.
Slowly, she exhaled, setting down the bandages before finally meeting your gaze.
Her eyes were glassy.
“I can’t lose you,” she admitted, her voice barely more than a whisper. “I won’t.”
You felt something inside you crack.
Guilt swelled in your chest as you reached out, cupping her cheek. “You won’t,” you promised.
Katarina leaned into your touch, closing her eyes for just a moment before shaking her head. “Just—don’t ever do this again,” she murmured, her voice raw. “Don’t hide things from me.”
You nodded, rubbing slow circles against her cheek with your thumb. “I won’t.”
She studied you for a moment longer, as if deciding whether to believe you. Then, with a sigh, she leaned forward, pressing her forehead against yours.
“You’re impossible,” she muttered.
You smiled. “But you love me.”
She scoffed, rolling her eyes. “Unfortunately.”
You laughed softly before wincing as a sharp pain shot through your side.
Katarina immediately pulled back, glaring. “That’s what you get for being an idiot.”
You smirked. “And yet, you’re still babying me.”
Her eyes narrowed. “Shut up before I change my mind.”
You chuckled, letting her finish bandaging you up, knowing full well that—for the next few weeks—Katarina wouldn’t let you out of her sight.
And honestly?
You didn’t mind at all.
Author's note — Since there's no fic of katarina, I've decided that I write story about her. I really love her, even though she's not a girl kisser. By the way request are open.
I took Tilly’s Steps on Broadway Class last night and here are my thoughts!!!!
Tilly makes you feel so comfortable in the room!! She went around giving high fives, learning people’s names, just overall having the most infectious energy
a lot of dance teachers will treat class as if it’s an audition, often leading to raised tension and competition among the class. but Tilly wasn’t like that at all. she made everyone feel so supported and safe, the room became such a welcoming community it was so fun to take part in
she did play wicked, and we ran around because she wanted us to “feel like kids again” and we did. it was so fun
i love the way we warmed up. it was a little bit of stretching, some cardio, and boot-scootin boogie
a big thing to her was falling in love with dancing and connecting with our bodies and WOW did i accomplish that during class. After class i had so much energy to just keep moving my body and dancing, i wanna take another class so bad.
I think it goes without saying, but i’ll say it anyways TILLY IS SUCH AN AMAZING DANCER AND HER CHOREOGRAPHY IS SO GORGEOUS. we danced to nobody gets me by SZA and it was very contemporary based (my fav) and it’s so pretty, the way each move flowed into the next. like by the end i barely had to think about doing the perfect technique for the step because i knew my body would connect and feel the music. like i don’t know how to explain it, she just taught it THAT well.
Tilly does such a great job teaching!! She would teach a little bit of the combo, verbally check in, and we’d go over it with music a couple times. And she wouldn’t move on until everyone was comfortable with it. While nothing crazy, she went at the perfect pace and it made learning the combo so much easier.
I would also like to add that i was on zoom, and in the room, the people on zoom are projected on a TV at the front of the room with our names attached to our videos. And she would check in with us too!! (i did get jumpscared a little each time i heard my name ngl, but it was so cool)
That being said, at one point, she was trying to remember what she had choreographed next, and since i was in a big dance room by myself and forgot the WHOLE CLASS CAN SEE ME, the dancing fairies in my body took over and i just started messing around with coupe turns and just improving to what i thought was no one. And then all of a sudden i hear “OKAAAYYY DANCE ALYSSAA!!” from TILLY. and i got SO EMBARRASSED AND AWKWARD. then she laughed because of the face i made, which like, im honored, but ohh my godddd😭😭 (i was over the moon she liked my dancing tho)
Also you know the little spinny move she does on the tire during ggah?? she put it in the combo and ITS SO MUCH HARDER THAN IT LOOKS. but it also produced my favorite quote of the night: “If you fall?? who the fuck cares??” -Tilly Evans-Krueger
like i’m gonna be taking that with me in every class from now on.
Overall, i had the BEST time and i hope she does it again because she’s the absolute sweetest and such a great teacher!! (also i need to take more dance classes because im SO INSPIRED by her and so fired up about dance again)
I Have You Strung, Strung in My Web
Billy Hargrove x Hopper!reader
You and Billy try to make it clear that you want more, but you keep missing each other.
part one
The bed shakes and squeaks as Billy pounds into this girl-what what her name? Jamie? Jackie? Definitely something with a J, but that doesn’t matter. Her usually just calls her “bitch” and she responds to that quite well.
She’s responding exactly the way he wants her too, so close to coming, but he doesn’t care. He actually couldn’t give less of a fuck. He’s only going this to get over you. He knows the only way to get over someone is to get under-well in this case, on top of-someone else.
But it’s not working. In fact, all he can think about is you and the way you made him feel so good. He wants that again. He wants it so bad but he’s not going to ask you not matter how much he wants to.
You have to initiate it because if Billy does, he’s gonna look like a goddamn pussy. He wouldn’t even know how to initiate it. He’s always the one being approached, and he certainly doesn’t fuck the same girl twice. That’s not who he is.
Then what makes you so different? Why are you the one he wants to break all his rules for? He doesn’t know but he wishes he did, wishes he could make sense of his feelings. Because being around you makes him feel like he can be himself. He doesn’t have to put on that persona he does with everyone else.
He zones back in as the girl finishes and he’s never been so eager to pull out, so he does. He didn’t even come and for the first time, he doesn’t care. He just wants her out so he can be left alone.
Thankfully, she knows her place and is quick to leave without even so much as a goodbye. Billy just stands there, facing his closet, now feeling like he needs a shower. He really needs to wash off this girl’s perfume along with the entire experience because now he feels dirty.
He heads to the bathroom and as soon as the faucet is turned on, he immediately feels a lot better. He stands there as the steam fogs up the mirror and as he wipes it away and looks at his reflection, he can’t help but think that he doesn’t recognize himself. Is that a smile he sees? Who hell is that staring back at him? He has no idea but he kind of likes it.
He gets into the shower and feels himself relax. In here, no one can bother him. Not his dad, not Susan or Max, and especially not you. Then why are there flashes of the two of you showering together in his mind?
He wants to have you pinned against the wall as he fucks you senseless, showing you who’s really in control. He let you take over that one time, but if he were to fuck you again, he’d be the one in charge. That’s how he operates, how he likes it. How he needs it. He has say about anything else in his life so sex is what he relies on in order to have some control.
After he’s out of the shower, he’s thinking about calling you. You told him not to be a stranger, but he’s nervous to actually give you a call. He also doesn’t want to go ask Max for your number because he’s sure that she’ll tease him about it.
He wonders if you’ll be home if he just shows up. Or maybe Chief Hopper will be there and grill him about his intentions with you. Yeah, he doesn’t want that. He knows your dad doesn’t approve of him, that much is clear. He’s been arrested for so many fights that he’s seen Jim Hopper more than his own father.
What would Jim say if he knew what Billy and his daughter had gotten up to the other night? He definitely wouldn’t make it out of the cabin alive if he ever found out. Because you’re Jim’s little girl and he’ll always think of you as such no matter how old you get.
He decides against contacting you altogether as he gets dressed. He wouldn’t know what to do or say and figures that you’ll reach out eventually. At least, he really hopes so.
“So you really went and did it?” Steve sighs as he looks at you from where he’s sitting on his couch. He’s there for your Friday night movie you do every week and the two of you are just waiting for the others to show up.
“Yep,” you nod, knowing that he has no interest in hearing anything about it and you respect that.
“Gross,” he grimaces. “Did you…enjoy it?” He honestly just wants to make sure you’re safe and that’s it. He feels like your older brother sometimes even though you’re the same age. He just wants to protect you.
“I did, actually,” you nod, trying really hard to keep the smile off your face. “ And he did too. I sense that he’ll be calling me any minute now.” You glance at the watch on your wrist. Billy hasn’t called you all weekend which doesn’t surprise you. Calling isn’t really his thing and you don’t care anyway. You guess it was only meant to be a one time thing.
“Yeah, good luck with that pipe dream,” Steve scoffs.
“It could happen.” You’ve now crossed your arms over your chest and Steve can’t help but laugh at your optimism.
“Need I remind you that we’re talking about Billy Hargrove. He’s not me.”
“And thank god for that,” You reply as a knock sounds at the door. You head over and open it to see Robin on the other side. You usher her inside and take the six pack of beer she’s carrying as she follows you inside.
Steve takes the beer from you and takes them to the kitchen, leaving you alone with Robin. The two of you take a seat on the couch as you wait for the others to arrive. Robin is someone you feel like you can tell absolutely anything to. There are things you can discuss with her that you just can’t talk about with Steve.
You want to tell her the truth about Billy. That you’re convinced he’s the best you’ve ever had and you’re desperately waiting for him to call you. But you don’t. You can’t. You know how much she dislikes Billy and you supposed she has a right to because it’s for the same reasons why you hated him.
But now that you’ve slept with him, you’ve seen a different side of him. It was softer and gentler and you wonder why he’s not like that all the time. You’re sure that he could get more women into bed if he behaved just a little bit more like Steve. But the day that happens is the day Hell freezes over.
“So what’s new with you?” She asks, scooting closer just in case there’s something you want to say that you don’t want Steve to hear.
“Just been reading,” you reply, which is partially true. You have been reading a lot. So much so that you’ve already finished all the books you own and had to buy a couple more to hold you the last couple weeks of summer.
She eyes you suspiciously and you know that she can tell that there’s something you’re not telling her. She always can. But your lips stay zipped. She’s not getting anything out of you. And you can’t imagine how she would react when you told her that you slept with Billy Hargrove.
“What have you been up to?” You ask, giving her a little nudge. “How has it been with Vicky?”
“Really good,” she replies and you can see a blush creeping up on her cheeks.
“Good,” you nod. “I’m really happy for you, Rob.”
“And I’m happy for you,” she nudges you back. “With whatever you’ve got going on.” She winks then stands from the couch. “I’m gonna go get a drink.”
“Robin-“ you’re about to chase after her, but there’s another knock at the door before you can. Nancy, Jonathan, Argyle, and Eddie are on the other side, all holding what you asked them to bring except for Eddie who always conveniently forgets every time. You’re not even sure why you even ask anymore.
You usher them all inside and once all of the snacks are on the coffee table, they all take their favorite spots in Steve’s living room. You’re on the couch next to Steve and he starts up the movie which just so happens to be a horror movie that he’s actually terrified to watch.
As you look around at your friends, you hate that you’re wishing that Billy would call, even worse, that you want him right next to you as you cuddle into his chest. You want to cuddle into his chest at the particularly scary parts as he comforts you, telling you that he;s going to be okay as he rubs your back sympathetically. What is wrong with you? Why are you even thinking about him in that way? You slept with him once and automatically think he’d want to be your boyfriend? This is Billy Hargove and Billy most certainly doesn’t have girlfriends.
-
Billy keeps to himself the rest of the day. He doesn’t even go to work because he’s afraid of running into you. He doesn’t want to do something he’ll regret like telling you that he likes you or something. He just holes up in his room and thinks about nothing but you, wondering what you’re up to, if you’re thinking about him like he is about you.
You’ve fucked with his head, used some sort of sorcery on him because he’s never felt this way about anyone before. He wants to see you so badly, even just a glimpse will help. So before he can stop himself, he’s throwing on his shoes and hurrying out the door so fast that Susan isn’t even able to ask him where he’s going. To be honest, he doesn’t even know.
But when he pulls up to your house, he realizes just how crazy he is. Why is he showing up unannounced? He could have at least had the decency to call first. But that’s not him. It’s just like Billy to randomly show up without even so much as a phone call. He doesn’t know why, but he just feels like you deserve better.
He nervously knocks on the door and is taken aback when Jim Hopper answers the door. He looks like he really doesn’t want to be bothered and Billy is so close to just making a run for it. Jim is standing there with his arms crossed over his chest, surely wondering what the hell Billy Hargrove is doing at his house.
“Hargrove,” Jim greets and Billy nods, putting on his most charming smile even though he knows it won’t work here.
“Jim, hi.”
“That’s Chief Hopper to you,” he crosses his arms over his chest. “Now what do you want?” Billy really is considering leaving because he actually doesn’t know what he’s doing. But then he sees a tiny glimpse of his sister and for once, he’s actually grateful for her existence.
“I’m actually here to pick up my sister. Dinner is soon and Susan wanted to make sure that she was home for it.” He’s smiling even weirder now, so proud of himself coming up with that on the fly.
“Max,” Hopper calls out to the girl and she’s quick to head over to him, her eyes widening at seeing her brother at the Hopper residence twice in one week. “Your brother is here to pick you up.” He says the words like he doesn’t believe Billy and he doesn’t. But he’s going to let him off the hook. This time, at least.
Max heads out the door and as soon as it’s closed, leaving her alone on the porch with her brother. She glares at him, one of the few people who can see through Billy’s bullshit. He’s up to something and she knows exactly what it is. It’s no secret that there’s something going on between the two of you and she’s going to do everything in her power to get the two of you together. Why you would willingly want to spend time with Billy, though, she has no idea.
But if she’s going to help him, he’s going to do something for her. That’s the deal, the only way any of this is going to work. It’s going to take a lot of work to make Billy boyfriend material, a chore in itself, for sure. She wonders how much she can get from him if he offers to help. Because at this rate, he’s going to need all the help he can get.
“What the hell was that?” She finally asks as she follows him down the steps. He’s walking so fast that she can barely keep up.
“Nothing,” he replies as he throws the driver’s side door open, Max heading over to the passenger seat.
“Nothing, right,” she winks as she gets into the car and for once, Billy actually makes sure that she’s fully in the car before he speeds down the road.
-
You and Steve finish cleaning up his very messy living room after the movie. You’re the only ones left. Steve’s going on and on about how unrealistic the movie was. But you’re not listening. You’re wondering why Billy hasn’t called and you don’t know why you care. Clearly it was only meant to be a one-time thing and you were just reading too much into it.
You can get his pretty moans out of your head. Images of his head leaning backwards, those sounds falling from his lips flash across your mind. You need to just get over him. Life’s too short to be anxious about getting a call from a boy who wouldn’t have even given you the time of day of sex hadn’t been on the table. Isn’t that the only reason why he agreed to meet you?
After everything is cleaned up, you say goodbye to Steve and make your way home. Only, you’re not turning onto the right street. You turn left when you’re supposed to go right and now you’ve ended up on the road that you’ve driven down so many times. You recognize every house since you bring El here almost every day before you go to the pool.
You honestly don’t know what you’re doing. You’re not thinking straight and are clearly blinded by your anger. And why wouldn’t you be? You’re so mad at Billy and you feel like he deserves to know how you feel.
You stop in front of the house you could draw from memory then quickly get out of your car. You’re stomping up the driveway and towards the front door, knocking furiously before waiting for someone to answer it.
Just your luck, it’s Max who’s on the other side. She gives you a suspicious look but then it quickly turns almost into pity. You can do so much better than her brother and she has no idea why you’re settling.
“He’s not here,” she tells you and actually feels bad when your face falls. “You just missed him, actually. But don’t worry, I’ll tell him to give you a call.”
“Thanks Max,” you smile lamely and she mimics it before closing the door.
You make the drive home and lock yourself in your room for the rest of the night, trying your best to not stare at your phone that sits on your desk. You’re silently begging it to ring, but when it reaches midnight and there’s no call, you eventually just decide to forget about the whole thing and go to bed. From now on, in your mind, Billy Hargrove doesn’t even exist.
This was after the hug, Fadel’s tears, the slow dance, the I have fallen for you, the kiss. Fadel had made up his mind. He would take what he could get—Style’s smell, the shape of his mouth, the taste of his skin—one last time. He knew it was over, could feel it seething between his lungs, the anger a quiet whir in the back of his head. He looked into Style’s eyes for a moment after they broke apart, and he thought of collapsing the facade, of grabbing his shoulders and shaking a confession out of those beautiful, lying lips. But Style simply looked back, smiling, unwavering, clueless. Did you really think I would not find out?
They were to spend the night in Fadel’s room. Style was tired. He went quiet at times in the night—a part of him Fadel was sure no one else knew. It was as if he gave out his spark in constant bouts, leaving little to himself in the final hours of the day. The loudest people can be the loneliest, Fadel thought, fleetingly.
“Fadel,” Style whispered. He was sitting on the foot of Fadel’s bed, the smile, though tired, reaching his eyes. His hair was wet. He had just showered, and was in grey sweats and a black band tshirt that Fadel swore wasn’t cropped a few weeks back. Style raised both arms up, asking for a hug, asking Fadel to kill the space between them. “Why are you so far?”
Fadel didn’t say anything. He watched Style; the droplets lining his neck, one by one, pooling in the milky collarbones; those wild pretty brows that were surprisingly relaxed, not challenging him like they always did. He looked so good, so harmless. Fadel wanted to jump out of his own fucking skin. He walked, measured, towards him. Style’s shoulders perked up, a light in his face. He wrapped his arms around Fadel’s neck when Fadel bowed to let him, and they held each other’s eyes. Fadel stayed there. Say it. Say something. His mind was a jumble. Why won’t you say anything? But Style sat there, expectant. Fadel tightened his brows and quickly, like reflex, grabbed Style’s jaw. Maybe he’d scare a confession out of him, he thought. Maybe that’ll get him to explain himself, to swear to Fadel that Bison was wrong and that he didn’t betray him, that he wasn’t lying when he said he loved and wanted him. Fadel’s fingers left white prints where they pushed the skin. But Style stayed as he was, trusting. Fadel searched his face, searched for a silver of a clue, but found none. It pissed him off. Why was Style’s guard down? Why was he so fucking calm? Why wasn’t he afraid, still smiling, still ready to give his body, down to the bone, to Fadel? Fadel dug his nails into the skin, knuckles white, and Style titled his head ever so slightly to kiss the part of Fadel’s hand he could reach. “I miss you,” he said. “I was so worried that your shop was closed. I thought I was going insane.”
Fadel didn’t understand this. He didn’t know how to react. He was angry. He wanted him. He wanted him so much. He wanted to say goodbye. He didn’t want to kill him. He didn’t want to let go. He didn’t want this to end.
“Why?” He said, a choked breath.
It was Style’s turn to frown. He looked confused. “What?”
Fadel snapped out of it. Immediately. His fingers relaxed around Style’s jaw. He took a breath, grounded himself. “Nothing.” An exhale. “Come here.”
The kiss was slow, deep. Fadel couldn’t close his eyes. He kissed him, watched when he could. It felt wrong, but he needed to do this, one final time.
Style slipped out of his own shirt. It came off beautifully, his hair crowned with a shimmer. He looked up in quiet excitement at Fadel, who was standing now, taking his own shirt and pants off.
Style pushed himself to lie on the bed then wrapped his arms around Fadel’s back as Fadel climbed over him. They looked at each other. It was never like this between them. Fadel was suddenly aware of it all. Of the sounds their bodies were making against his sheets. Of the difference between them, in size and mannerism, the pace of their breaths, how Style’s gentle thrill was getting the better of him, how Fadel’s limbs were stiffening up in response, his trust in Style completely shattered.
Style raised his head up and kissed him again. Fadel tasted peppermint, fruit candy and sweetness. He wanted this. He wanted lifetimes of this.
“Fadel,” Style whispered against his mouth and stroked the back of his neck. “Did you think about me while you were gone—“
Fadel slipped his tongue in to shut him up. He didn’t want to admit the answer. I did. Every night.
They kissed, again, and again, shed off the rest of their clothes. It was different this time, the silence a creature in its own right. Fadel kissed Style’s body carefully. He left no part untouched. Style’s breaths came in quiet moans as he held onto Fadel tightly, always following his gaze, always trying to show him it felt good. And it did. It felt so fucking good, like fire, like martyrdom. But Fadel avoided Style’s eyes when he was inside, his face turned as he moved, slowly, carefully, awkwardly. His heart hurt. It shouldn’t be like this. It was never like this. He kissed Style’s neck when it became unbearable. And Style kissed him back, wherever he could, his jaw, his chin, his cheek, holding on tighter with each motion. Why? Fadel’s tears burned.
“Fadel,” Style closed his eyes and whispered as his head fell back. He bit hard onto his lips. Fadel went deeper, and watched, detached. “Fadel.”
"He's the one"
thank you @enjoythesilentworld for this fun tag!!
Post a 1-5 paragraph excerpt of a WIP/fic idea that may never make it out of your drafts but is near and dear to your heart.
I started this so so long ago and actually looked at it a few days ago and realized that this may simply be one I can't figure out. I know what it's supposed to be (exes who are friends, and then Simon gets engaged and Wille becomes his best man) but I don't know how, and either way, I don't think this particular scene will make it in! So here it is, for your enjoyment (yes. this is longer than 1-5 paragraphs. it could have been even longer but there were too many square brackets in the final few that I couldn't figure out. but hey. More cake!)
**
With a loud “Wille, you’ll never believe what happened!” Simon stormed into the living room, temporarily making Wille look up from the book he was reading. A book he was enjoying.
He already regretted giving Simon the keys to his house. One of these days, he was sure, Wille was going to come home and find Simon splayed out on his couch, having raided his cupboards and eating all his snacks.
“What, Simon?” he said with feigned disinterest, while trying to finish this last paragraph.
Simon grabbed the book out of his hands before he could, and tossed to the other side of the room.
“Hey!” Wille exclaimed. [maybe this needs to be more of a description of the sound like ‘disgruntled noise’ or something but not disgruntled] “I was reading that!”
“You can read later, I have something to tell you.” Simon sat down on the couch next to him, the widest grin possible on his face and a sparkle in his eyes. “I met someone. And I’m pretty sure he’s the one.”
“You said that about the previous guy. And the guy before that. And the guy before that.”
“Yeah, but this time I’m sure of it.” Simon fell back against the couch cushions, and ran a hand through his black curls. “He’s sweet, and considerate, and incredible in bed. I mean the way he–“
“Okay, okay, I do not need to hear you go on about your sexual escapades again, please. Where did you meet him?”
Simon’s hand got stuck in his curls, and he blushed. Actually blushed, and that’s how Wille knew the answer.
“Please don’t say the club.”
Simon didn’t reply.
“Simon, we talked about this. Not every guy you fuck is the one.”
“Yeah, but this time it’s different! I mean, I met him last Saturday and we went out for dinner last night and Wille,” Simon sat up again, stared into Wille’s eyes. “I came from his place just now. I haven’t even been home yet since Saturday. He has a bed frame. A bed frame that is incredibly suitable to – ” Wille gave him a look, and Simon stopped mid-sentence. “Okay, it doesn’t matter what it’s suitable to, but c’mon.”
“Wait, but if you met him Saturday –“ Wille quickly did the math in his head. “Simon, you’ve known this guy for what, 4 days?”
“I know, I know, it’s too soon but truly, I’m telling you, he’s the one. For real this time.”
Wille rolled his eyes and get up to get his book from where Simon had flung it to heedlessly.
“Sure. Tell me again in a month when it hasn’t crashed and burned again, and maybe I’ll believe you.”
Simon’s problem, according to himself, was that he just loved too much and that they were never able to handle it. And maybe he was right, a bit – almost every guy he met was the one until he found they weren’t ready for a relationship, were still in love with their ex, or, in more than one case, had a girlfriend already.
Simon’s problem, according to Wille, was that he couldn’t see past all the raging red flags. Simon would have killed it if he were a bull fighting in the arena.
Not tagging anyone bc Idk who has been tagged already and I sadly dont have the brain capacity or the time for that rn. So if you see this and want to join in: this is your sign!
Together
Jay Halstead x Reader
You push people away. It's how you cope. Only a chosen few has managed to stick around. Jay is going to prove he's not going anywhere.
You were pulling away. You could feel it and knew Jay could too. The problem? You didn’t know how to not pull away. That little voice in your head that was so damn sure and strong when it came to work was so damn quiet and uncertain when it came to yourself. You loved Jay. You knew that with every fiber of your being but that damn little voice kept whispering “He can do better than you and he's going to figure it out”
As much as you didn't want to lose him as your lover, the thought of losing him as your friend hurt worse. He'd always been there as a cornerstone when you needed him.
When Voight suggested changing partners around you'd seen the fact that Jay wanted to argue written plainly in his eyes but you spoke up and said “I agree Sarge. It's good to switch it up every now and then”
You were partnered with Adam, Kim with Jay and Hailey with Kevin. It was a big change from the usual team but all of you worked well enough together, had for years.
While you were all gearing up to roll out you saw Jay move towards you so you turned towards Hailey “Upton, check that rear strap for me?” She smiled “Of course” and readjusted it slightly then asked you to check hers too. At least by her asking you it didn't just look like you were avoiding Jay, even if he looked like a kicked puppy when you met his eyes.
“Everyone knows what you should be doing. Come home in one piece” Voight said looking around at all of you. You each nodded in turn. You grabbed your long gun then winked at Kim “Don't worry babe. I got your fella’s back” she grinned “I know you do. I got Jay's”
You smiled slightly and Kevin cleared his throat “and Hailey’s got mine if yall care” your smile turned into a full grin as you cut your eyes at him “You know I care Atwater. Anything happen to you I'm fighting the ferrymen to bring you back myself” he grinned “My girl” and bumped his shoulder against yours.
Voight shook his head but you saw a small grin “Do your damn jobs” with that he dismissed you so you rolled out. It was a quick snatch and grab. You wouldn't say nothing should go wrong because you knew your job, anything could go wrong but it should be fairly easy.
The snatch and grab went down just as planned thankfully. Six arrests were successfully made.
You were walking out of the precinct when you heard Jay call your name so you stopped and turned to see him walking towards you with one of those smiles that always made your heart flip “Hey baby. You want to go get a drink or some food or something?”
You shrugged “I'm kinda tired honestly. I was going to just go home and crash” he nodded “I can bring takeout?” He looked so damn hopeful but that voice in your head wouldn't shut up for two fucking seconds screaming about how bad it's gonna hurt if you let yourself love him as deeply as you wanted to just for him to walk away.
“It's fine honey. Um raincheck for tomorrow?” He nodded, his face falling slightly. “Ok, did I do something?” You shook your head “No, why?” he motioned back to the precinct “I've seen you stand toe to toe with Voight over trying to make you partner with anyone else and today you agreed. You haven't wanted to go out or let me come over in days. Baby is there someone else?”
Your eyes widened slightly “What?” He shrugged “I don't know here. I mean we were doing good, I thought. Is it because we had sex? Are you pulling away because of that?” You shook your head, trying not to let your eyes tear up “No Jay, of course not. Sex with you is fucking amazing”
He grinned slightly “Then why have you barely let me kiss you all week?” You shrugged and opened your mouth to say something then clamped it back “I don't want to talk here. Can you grab the takeout?” He nodded “I'll be over in a few ok?” “Ok” he took a step closer and when you didn't pull away he pressed a kiss to your temple.
You sat on your couch, waiting for Jay to knock. When he did you were up and on your feet without thinking. You opened the door to let him in and he walked in carrying the takeout bags “I got Chinese”
He walked into your kitchen as you closed and locked the front door and you heard him putting the take out trays across the counter and throwing the plastic bag into your recycling bin before he walked back into the living room, shedding his jacket and walking over to you.
He stopped just shy of you and raised one eyebrow, silently asking permission. You stepped closer to him, slipping your arms around his waist and he pulled you against his chest “There's my girl. I was wondering where she went”
You cut your eyes up at him “I'm sorry I pushed you away Jay. It's just I think I realized I was falling in love with you and I freaked out because I don't even know why you're with me and…” you were cut off by him kissing you like he was a drowning man and you were the last taste of air.
You moaned lightly against his lips and when he finally pulled away both of you were breathing a little harder “You love me?” He asked and you nodded “I do” he grinned “Good, because I love you but get it straight from here on there will be no pushing me away. You try to push me? I'll grab you and pin you to a wall. We're in this together” you chuckled lightly “You just used you pinning me to a wall as a threat. That is a fantasy Halstead”
He smirked “Oh yeah? Well baby I can make that reality right now. Just tell me you love me one more time” you smiled “I love you Jay” he groaned lightly and leaned down far enough to pick you up, forcing you to wrap your legs around his waist “I've went the last week and a half barely touching you. I'm making up for it tonight”
this was just great. what a wonderful week you had right? wrong. tonight just took the whole fucking cake of the week. here you are walking through the streets with a tank top, a black skirt and heels. you were supposed to be attending a party with your "boyfriend" but instead got hit in the fucking face with a welcoming surprise. when you walked into the house, the first thing you did was try to find him. looked in the kitchen, the living room, and finally upstairs. pushing past some people to get upstairs, you were gonna check the rooms but instead got hit with a welcoming surprise.
there he was with a semi tall blonde chick, deep kissing her, gripping onto her ass as her hands were in his hair. your heart had dropped, but you didn't feel sad no. you felt angry and…stupid. angry that after two years of dating, wasting your time. and stupid because the moment your best friend told you what he saw you didn’t believe him. alone in the dark as you walked, you pulled out your phone going straight to his contact, biting your lip you stopped walking for a second to stare at it.
'kat 🧡
you stood there just..looking at his contact name. you bit your bottom lip, clicking on the messages to see the last thing that was sent. "don't come running to me when you find out the type of guy he is." you clicked your tongue. whole time he was right, and you didn't listen giving him the benefit of a doubt. right now. he was your only option of getting a ride. you hovered over the call button, hesitant to press it, but looking around it was dark and cold. huffing in frustration you pressed on it putting it up to your ear starting to walk again, it was ringing which was good. only a few seconds went by before it went to voicemail, knew it.
"hey..kat. I know we haven't talked in over..two weeks, but uh..I kinda need you right now?. I'm stranded in a neighborhood, and I don't have money on me just..if you get this please call me back?." you sighed, hanging up the phone continuing to walk through the street. now you have no one, and have a 23 mile hike to walk back to your apartment. you huffed crossing your arms together deep in thought. you could imagine it already..the "I told you so" scoffing, hearing his voice in your head. a few minutes had passed by, still walking through the night grunting by the pain in your feet as you walked. when you made up the hill a bright light had came to your attention, and a loud engine revving making your ears perk up. you used your hand to cover the lights that were practically blinding you, but when they shut off a figure stepped out the car. you furrowed your eyebrows, reaching for the knife that was hidden in your sock before the figure came to the light.
your heart dropped. It was him. you wanted to run towards him and just..be in his arms, but you stood up straight, crossing your arms walking towards him who leaned against the hood of the car palms sitting behind him holding him up. the sound of your heels clicking against the ground made you even more embarrassed, as you walked up to him. he didn't say anything, but stare at you with a tilted head. katsuki raised a brow, you were in a black skirt, a white tank top, and black heels. "tank top and a skirt huh?." was the first thing he said scoffing, looking you up and down. you rolled your eyes looking away from him, "attending a party." he scoffed again nodding his head, "attending" right? then what's this?." he said obviously pointing out the obvious. you were standing in the cold with barely anything on. "was attending.." you looked away. katsuki grunted leaning up from the car to take off his jacket, when he didn't say anything you turned back to him only to see a jacket flying towards your face. "hurry up, and put it on before you catch a cold." you pulled the jacket off your face glaring at him, who looked back at you with a smirk getting into the black car.
you scoffed pulling the jacket onto your body going to the passenger side. It was nice and warm..you breathed in relief feeling the warmth engulf the coldness that once covered you. the car ride was very..awkward and silent, neither one of you said a word to each other. you're looking outside the car window seeing lights, and buildings go by as katsuki kept his eyes straight ahead, one hand on the steering wheel as the other on the center. the sound of his fingers tapping against the leather box gained your attention, looking from the window down at his hand then at him. your eyebrows scrunched up, you wanted to say something to him, but you couldn't find the right words.
he felt your eyes on him, he knew exactly what you were thinking. your face gave it away. katsuki grunted, stopping at a red light finally facing your way which caught you off guard. he just stared at you, like he was waiting for you to say something, but it was crickets. damn y/n!. get a grip. you cleared your throat looking back down, "thank you..for getting me." was all you said, but he raised a brow. that wasn't all you wanted to say. you wanted to apologize for getting mad at him..but you couldn't find the right words. you were such an idiot for not believing him from the beginning, "that all?." his voice spook, your eyes averting to his who stared back, your eyebrows furrowed.
It wasn't. you shook your head no, sighing. "I'm also..sorry for getting into that big argument..I should've believed you from the beginning, and i'm an idiot for not..i'm just really sorry kat.” it was silent. you stared at him waiting for an answer, but you didn’t get one. just a simple nod looking back ahead. though, you would be lying if you didn’t say that didn’t hurt feelings when it did, but you deserved it. you were an asshole towards him when he tried to tell you..looking down you fought the urge to cry. tonight was just so shitty. through the car ride it was silent again, as you looked out the window you recognized you were in your neighborhood, thinking he was taking you home getting ready to unbuckle, he drove right past your apartment.
your eyebrows furrowed in confusion. turning your head towards him, he stayed quiet, only keeping his eyes in front of him as he drove. if this was anyone else, you would’ve freaked out..but since he is your best friend, you trust him. as you guys drove through the city, you were starting to recognize this road..after a few more minutes, katsuki stopped the car. after the dull minutes of silence he spoke, “you’ve always said this view made you feel better, so.” your heart fluttered. “kat..you didn’t have to, you know?” you said with a light chuckle, hearing him snicker. “shut up idiot, I wanted to..” from hearing your voicemail, and picking you up he knew you finally saw what he saw that day. even though he’s still upset with you he wanted to make you feel better. he cared about you..a lot more than you think. you turned back to look at the view of the city, the lights, the water..it made you feel at ease.
now sitting on his hood, as you both were admiring the city he could tell you were feeling more better. your head laid on his shoulder, as you continued to look at city. you missed this. from the days you two had stopped talking, you thought he was just jealous of your relationship with e/n, and wanted to break up your guy’s relationship, but you were wrong. when bakugo told you he saw him with another girl, kissing, holding hands, you didn’t wanna believe him. now you feel stupid for not. katsuki cares about you, weather he has a hard time showing it, you mean everything to him. growing up, and graduating u.a together you guys are inseparable. though he is very good at hiding emotion, that day when you told him to fuck off, to leave you alone..he couldn’t lie, and say it didn’t hurt his feelings when it did.
hurts more when you have feelings for a girl who was already taken.
as the wind blew, taking him out of his thoughts he felt you shiver against him. though the jacket was keeping your top half warm, your bottom half is what bothered you, shivering again feeling cold air hit your legs. he looked down with a raised brow, grunting, bringing your legs to lay ontop of his, placing his hands on top of them. it took you by surprise looking up at him. usually he would always get annoyed or curse you out for putting your legs on him, but this time it was different. feeling his hands on your thighs, his palms started to heat up, “feel better?” he questioned, you hummed..slowly nodding your head. “much better..” he only hummed in response, continuing to look in the distance. this moment together felt right? every feeling you felt after you left that house disappeared like ocean waves..you felt safe with him. he felt safe with you.
feeling katsuk’s hand on your leg softly, caressing his thumb over your skin, you couldn’t help but smile a little, moving your hand to be placed on top of his. they were rough like always, but warm with a tent of softness to them. “It’s been awhile since we been up here.” you mentioned with a small smile, looking back at him, who grinned looking at you. you looked so..beautiful, “yeah?” you rolled your eyes, squeezing his hand. “you know it has…you didn’t have to do this for me.” again with that. katsuki scoffed, pinching your leg, “would you shut up? I said I wanted to dummy.” — “I’m just saying!” rolling your eyes, “this was really sweet of you though..even after what I’ve said to you.” katsuki felt a weird ping in his heart, but brushed it off shrugging. “It’s fine.” he felt more at ease knowing you’re finally done with that asshole..but his feelings for you only kept bothering and poking at him.
you guys spent a good hour viewing the city before he decided to drive you home, this time no awkward silence or tension. it was back to normal, which you were happy about. as katsuki pulled up in front of your apartment building, he parked the car. “thank you again kat, it means a lot to me.” you smiled, hearing a small hum. “don’t do no dumb shit again, ya hear?” you giggled rolling your eyes, “just get home safe, k?” as soon as you were about to leave the car, katsuki thought to himself..should he confess? should he not? unconsciously his hand shot towards your wrist, you paused feeling his hand turning back around to look at him with confusion. “what’s wrong?” fuck. why was this so hard? was this even a good moment to tell you? “I..uh.” I like you. say it, three simple words right? “something wrong kat?” his feelings. his eye brows furrowed… say it bakugo! “I’ll text you when i’m home.” fuck! you relaxed a little, nodding with a small smile, “you better!!” his heart pounded against his chest, watching as you closed the door walking into the apartment building. “fuck.” he growled, leaning back into his seat rubbing a hand across his face.
why was this so hard?
I Know That, because I Married Him for It
Divergence from chapter 20, where Chimney finds out Buck and Eddie are married from a high Eddie and then has to deal with keeping it secret; an impossible task for him.
On AO3.
Ships: Buddie (pre-slash)
Warning: non consensual drug use
~~~
Maddie has just carted Buck off in her car, which had been more trouble than Chimney expected, since him and Eddie have apparently become conjoined under the influence of whatever drug is in their system right now.
However, the two of them succeeded …leaving him with a now crying Eddie. Great.
Chimney very much did not sign up to be a tripsitter – well, maybe he had being a paramedic and all, but still – and it has been more stressful than expected. Though that can be attributed to it being his friends and colleagues that were drugged with an unknown substance by an unknown assailant at an unknown time somewhere today.
Anyway, that is not for Chimney to worry about. Chimney needs to worry about Eddie being okay until his aunt can come pick him up. And right now Eddie is crying, which means Chimney will have to do something about that.
He gingerly makes his way over to Eddie and sits down next to. Despite how he was draped over Buck earlier, Chimney doesn’t touch him, just sits close enough for Eddie to know he’s there. With the state he’s in, he doesn’t want to accidentally trigger him.
“Hey, buddy, how are we doing?” he asks.
“Badly,” Eddie says, before starting to cry harder.
Right now Chimney really wishes Maddie would have taken longer to be here, since Buck’s high had been gentle until they had to separate the two and he was the only person that was stopping Eddie from crying. Chimney is pretty okay with people crying from the pain, not great with people crying because of emotions. He’s awkward, alright!
“Well, I know it’s scary, but you’re gonna be okay.” Chimney pats Eddie on the back, since Eddie is tilting towards him until their knees are touching.
“No, it’s not. You took Buck,” Eddie pouts. “And I’m not gonna be able to see Chris again. I miss him.” Then he starts crying again.
Okay, Chimney knew Buck and Eddie had become fast friends in the past few months, but this is ridiculous. Still, Eddie is in distress and Chimney is trying to keep him calm. They’ve made more than enough of a scene already.
So, he tries to soothe him again: “I know, Eddie, I know. But you’ll see them soon.”
It doesn’t really help and Eddie continues to cry. Chimney is looking out over the parking lot desperately, trying to see if a car comes pulling in with a woman that looks like she could potentially be Eddie’s aunt. No dice.
“Uh, I can tell you some stories about Chris and chickens? Would that help?” Chimney asks, because it seemed to help when Buck did it. Eddie doesn’t answer, so he tries: “So, uhm, Chris was on a farm and there was this chicken named Betty. They were the best-”
“No!” Eddie cuts him off, shaking his head stubbornly as he scowls: “That didn’t happen.”
“Yeah, no shit,” Chimney replies, a little annoyed. Why did it work when Buck did it, but not when he does it?
“No,” Eddie says again, god, he really is pig headed, why didn’t Chimney notice that before. “Buck told me things that happened. You don’t.”
“How can Buck have told you things that happened?” Chimney exclaims. “He was talking about Chris and chickens, don’t tell me you two went to a chicken farm recently.” Is is childish to argue with the drugged person about this? Maybe. However, Chimney has had a stressful day, okay?
“Of course not,” Eddie actually sounds offended. “You’re doing it wrong.” He is at least not crying anymore, instead pouting as he defends Buck’s storytelling over Chimney’s. “Buck was talking about the Johnson farm.”
“You two actually went to a farm?” Chimney exclaims, because what the fuck is his life becoming, this just can’t be real.
“Yeah, Buck worked there, dumbass,” Eddie tells him. “It’s where he met Chris.”
“No, Buck met Chris at the hospital after your grandma had a fall. That was pretty recently. Don’t you remember that?” Chimney knows that sometimes the best move is to go along with delusions or confusion, but right now he wants to be sure Eddie is actually okay and memory loss is a scary thing to happen. Fuck, why did he let Hen and Buck out from under his supervision?
Eddie is oblivious to this and in a know-it-all manner he says: “No, he didn’t. Buck met Chris on the farm, because he was watching him. I know that, because I married him for it.”
Chimney chokes on his spit and starts coughing. He knows people say all sort of things while high, but holy shit Eddie sounds way to confident about that one. “What?” he finally manages to push out of his throat.
Now Eddie is looking at him with confusion as if he is the weird one. “What what?”
“You married Buck?” Chimney asks, still a bit breathless and red in the face.
“Yeah,” Eddie says, then he leans in and whispers: “But you’re not allowed to tell anyone. It’s a secret. Shhhhh,” he places a finger to his lip as he does that.
“Buck is your husband?” Chimney says, voice distorted by the finger still pressed to his lips.
“Uh-huh,” Eddie hums happily, pulling back. He smiles for a moment, before his lip wobbles again and his voice sounds very sad when he whispers: “I miss him.” Then he bursts out into tears all over, burying his head in his hands.
What the fuck.
Chimney is honestly so thrown off by everything Eddie just said that he doesn’t know what to do with himself, because none of that makes sense. Eddie and Buck? Married? He knows they’re friends, but they just met. He was there for that!
But here Eddie is, crying about missing his husband, whom he apparently met at a chicken farm and who is Buck. Like probie, has been there for a year never mentioned having any family, Buck. It doesn’t make any sense to Chimney.
He wraps an arm around Eddie, letting him lean his head on his shoulder, while his face still carries a bewildered expression. What is today. What is his life.
Eddie sadly murmurs into his shoulder: “I wanna see Buck and Chris now. I don’t wanna be all alone again. I had to be alone away from them in the army and it sucked. I don’t wanna do that again. I never wanna do that again. Why did you make Buck go?”
And he sounds so fucking sad that Chimney has to push his bewildered-ness down, so he can squeeze Eddie’s shoulder and shush: “I’m sorry, Eddie, but you’ll see both of them soon. You need to get this stuff out of your system, it’s not safe to leave you alone, so I called your aunt, because I didn’t know. If you said, I could have let you go with Maddie.”
Chimney honestly doesn’t know why Maddie didn’t say anything and just struggled with him to get the two separated.
Almost as soon as that question pops into his brain, Eddie’s starts shaking his head. “No. No, Maddie doesn’t know.”
“She doesn’t?” Chimney can’s help, but exclaims, because what. It is already wild information that he doesn’t know what to do with, but hey, keeping your relationship out of the work place isn’t too crazy, but Maddie doesn’t know? Buck’s sister doesn’t know. Is she homophobic? Chimney didn’t think so, but he’s only met her a few times now. That would suck.
“No one knows. It’s a secret,” Eddie tells him, giving him big eyes and putting on the most important voice he’s capable of.
Chimney freezes.
No one knows?
The implications of that hit him. He might be straight, but he’s been friends with Hen and Karen for a long time, stood as best man at their wedding, witnessed how the 118 talked to her before Bobby took over. No one knowing means Chimney has to keep this secret.
Fuck!
“Uhm, okay. It’s a secret,” Chimney agrees, voice a little faint. He can do this, right? Yeah, he can totally keep this secret… He hopes.
“Hmm, secret,” Eddie nods. Then he looks over to the side, distracted by some of the kids from the pageant running around, while their moms tried to prevent skinned knees, Chimney doesn’t get it, but Eddie seems to take something different from it, saying: “I miss Chris.” And it doesn’t surprise Chimney in the slightest when he then breaks down again.
Unwilling to have more knowledge unwillingly dropped on him that he’ll then have to keep secret, Chimney lets him cry as he holds him without saying anything to invoke a reaction. God, he hopes Eddie’s aunt comes soon.
Fifteen minutes later, his prayer is answered. A car pulls up and a severe looking woman with black hair steps out, immediately zeroing in on Eddie and walking over. Once she is sufficiently close enough to loom over them, she crosses her arms and shakes her head: “… Edmundo.”
Eddie looks up and blinks a few times, tears still in his eyes, but he smiles when he sees the woman, despite her expression. “Tía Pepa!”
Pepa’s face soften and she nods to her car: “Let’s get going, mijo.”
Almost instantly, Eddie starts to move and Chimney quickly catches up, helping him up, because despite his determination, his coordination is less than stellar right now. He wants to be polite and say hi to Pepa, but Eddie is moving, so Chimney supports him all the way to the car.
Thankfully, Pepa opens the door for them, even though she lets Chimney do most of the heavy lifting, while she just tuts at Eddie and scolds him for not being more careful and that he has Chris to think about.
Wrong thing to say of her, but she hasn’t been there, so Chimney forgives her as Eddie starts crying again while Chimney buckles him in.
Once Eddie is seated, Chimney straightens up and finally extends his hand to Pepa: “I’m Chimney, Eddie’s coworker. There was an unknown substance he must have come into contact with. He’s not the only one, but with the symptoms observed, he doesn’t need to go to a hospital. He’s just high, essentially. Uhm, so you just have to keep an eye on him, make sure he’s okay, get him to drink water if you can. Thank you for coming to pick him up, I can’t imagine that call was what you were hoping for today.”
“Pepa,” she introduces herself, before amusedly scoffing: “And I’m just glad you kept my nephew out of trouble. I’ll watch over him, don’t worry. I have time.”
In the background Eddie sobs again and Chimney cringes: “Thank you, uhm, the crying has been kind of normal.”
“He misses Chris, I get it. He always does,” Pepa says, giving him a sharp smile. “I’ll call Carla to watch Chris, since I don’t think Eddie would want him to see him until it’s out of his system, even if he misses him. How long do you think it will last?”
“I can’t give hard numbers, but most of the time trips last between 9 and 12 hours. So, he’ll be okay by tomorrow for sure,” Chimney tells her.
“Alright. Thank you and nice to meet you.”
“Yeah, nice to meet you too. Good luck, have a good day!”
Pepa just smiles and nods at him, before getting in her car. Chimney watches as she swats Eddie’s hand away from the radio, then cards a quick hand through his hair, before pinching his cheek. With that done, Eddie calms a little and she pulls out of the parking lot, leaving Chimney behind.
For a moment, he just stands there as everything all comes crashing down on him again. Holy shit, his coworkers just got drugged. What the fuck!
Chimney deflates slightly, the stress of suddenly being responsible for all his coworkers on a call washing off him now that he’s handed over the last one to someone else. He’ll have to drive the ambulance and truck back to the station somehow and stay behind until they can get a full shift back at the house, not to mention give a statement, but at least no one got seriously hurt.
There were no overdoses, no bad reactions – either allergies, bad trips or meds that shouldn’t mix – and he has a text from Athena saying Bobby is okay. Chimney kept everyone alive.
He lets out a deep breath and rubs his face.
He allows himself one moment, then pops a piece of gum in his mouth and makes his way back inside to get all the gear sorted out.
The 125 had been called in to deal with the shoe in face incident instead and there are fortunately still some of them there, so Chimney gets the Captain to lend one of his people out to help Chimney drive the two vehicles back to the station. Chimney gets the feeling this won’t be the last time someone asks what the hell happened.
Once everything is sorted and the guy from the 125 is back to his own house, Chimney flops onto the couch. He is exhausted. Cops will come by later to take his statement and all the food has been confiscated, which sucks, but at least there won’t be any calls.
As he lies there, he fishes his phone out of his pocket. Karen has send him some videos of Hen, which are hilarious and they’re so going to make fun of her for that later. Athena only sends him a curt text back, which is understandable. He didn’t give Pepa his number, so nothing from her, but Maddie did text him that Buck’s gentle high has become an emotional one and they’re on the couch with ice cream.
Chimney thinks to himself: understandable, we took him away from his husband. He is about to text a joke back when he remembers it’s a secret. It honestly doesn’t feel completely real yet that Buck and Eddie are married, but Eddie seemed adamant.
And now Chimney knows.
And no one else.
Looking back on his conversation with Pepa, he realizes that she never mentioned Buck at all, just Chris. Seems like Eddie wasn’t lying about no one knowing. If it’s real at all.
He doesn’t know if he should take high Eddie’s word as gospel, but it also seems like a wild and random thing to lie about. Like even if Eddie has a crush on Buck, jumping to being married seems excessive. And why the chicken story? How did that just happen? No, it definitely has some basis of truth.
It has a basis of truth and it’s a secret. A secret that goes deep. They didn’t tell their families, they didn’t tell Bobby, Buck never mentioned it all his entire probie year, even if he’s a chronic over-sharer. Hell, they played out a first meeting on Eddie’s first day. They had a spat.
Buck and Eddie are married and have gone to great lengths to hide that fact and now Chimney know it too. This is going to end terribly.
First, Chimney can’t keep secrets for shit, so this is impossible. Secondly, this is really something HR should be informed about. Eddie can’t work with Buck in his probie year. Chimney would think they’d lied for that, were it not for neither Maddie and Pepa knowing.
So, now here he is. With no clue what to do. He can’t go to Maddie to talk about it, because that would be outing him to her, which is bad. Even telling Hen or Bobby would be outing them and bad, because one is their boss, so don’t share sensitive information with him, especially because this might get them fired, and Hen is their coworker as well.
He should just wait for Buck and Eddie to ride out this high, then go to them about it. That is the best course of action. They can decide what to do with Chimney knowing and the likely limited time he can keep it to himself.
Fuck, why did he have to find this out! Unfair. Chimney has a stressful enough life with working as a paramedic/firefighter, he doesn’t need big coworker secrets on top of this.
Like, is he now complicit in them lying to HR? Do they even know they can get into serious trouble for this? Or will they be able to claim obliviousness and it’s only Chimney who will go down for this?!
Okay, no, breathe. You’re going to talk to them, explain to them why this is a bad idea and that they have to come clean before he accidentally does it, apologize in advance for doing that, and then it will all be fine.
It’ll be fine.
It’s totally gonna be fine.
…
God, Chimney hates this!
He tosses and turns a little on the couch as his mind whirs without being able to calm down. He is almost grateful to the police coming to take his statement, because that’s a distraction he can use right now. However, not blurting out what Eddie confessed when recounting their behavior is a struggle and he dreads the coming few days.
Beyond that he texts Maddie some but that’s a minefield, tries to beat Hen’s high score on the pin ball machine, then sulkily plays firetruck simulator when he can’t, as well as naps a bit.
Still, despite not answering any calls, since it’s just him at the firehouse, he is exhausted when B shift comes back in to take over for him.
When he gets home, he has a text from Maddie saying Buck has moved from crying it out to sleeping it off. So, Chimney tells her that despite usually knowing better, he’s going to follow her brother’s example, which gets him some laughing emojis back. With that he drops into bed and knocks out, hoping he’s forgotten today when he wakes up.
After a good amount of sleep for all of them and a drug test for most of them, they’re all back for a shift.
Chimney is both looking forward to it and deeply dreading it.
Bobby has come in early and hidden away, a clear message that he does not want to discuss it. But Hen is right there to be made fun off, which Chimney needs to blow off jitters and nerves, because if he is teasing her, he can’t be talking about Buck and Eddie.
Luckily, it’s Hen and she knows him, so she takes like a champ. She sniffs: “I’m not embarrassed about being filled with love, Chim.”
“According to Karen love is not the only thing you wanted to be filled with,” Chimney says gleefully.
“Oh shut up!”
“What are we talking about?” Buck asks as he and Eddie come walking up, both looking better than the last time Chimney saw them. Which isn’t that hard admittedly, since both were crying said last time.
“Nothing!” Hen exclaims, not necessarily embarrassed, but happy to have an out from the teasing to focus on Buck and Eddie instead.
Chimney would have happily teased her in front of Buck and Eddie, had it not been Buck and Eddie who just arrived. Together, he notes. Did they arrive in one car from their shared home? Or are they still keeping it up, even though he knows?
Neither of them seem nervous or looking at him anxiously and they haven’t texted him. What are they thinking? It seems like only he is panicking, since Hen is oblivious and either Buck and Eddie are phenomenal actors or they don’t care as much.
To distract further from herself, Hen asks: “Did both of you get everything out of you system alright?”
Buck blushes a bright red at that and throws himself on the couch, groaning loudly: “I embarrassed myself so much. After all my efforts to do dumb shit like this when Maddie couldn’t see, this had to happen to me. I’m never going to eat anything I didn’t see prepared.”
“What did you do?” Hen asks curiously.
Now Buck looks away and mutters: “Nothing.” Suspicious. Did he accidentally tell Maddie? Is Chimney no longer alone in this?
“I’m sure it wasn’t that bad,” Eddie tries to comfort him. Does Eddie not know? Is that why both are not looking at him, because Buck didn’t tell Eddie and Eddie didn’t tell Buck? Should Chimney be worried about that? But then why isn’t Eddie looking at him.
“You weren’t there,” Buck grouches, crossing his arms. “I had to wrestle for control to get those videos deleted.”
“And what about you, Eddie? Spill anything to your aunt?” Chimney finds himself asking, biting the inside of his cheek to not ramble on more.
“Uh, no?” Eddie frowns, now looking at Chimney, but only being confused, nothing else. “Did I say something weird to you? It’s honestly a bit of a blur.”
Fuck, does Eddie not remember telling Chimney? That is even worse! Noooo! How could this happen to him? What does he do now!?
Floundering for a second, Chimney goes: “To me? Weird? No, no, of course not. Nothing weird said to me, no, sir. I- I am not knowing of anything weird. At all. I just- I gotta go.”
Chimney can’t do this, he spins on his heel and quickly walks away. Where? He does not know, but that doesn’t matter, he needs to be somewhere other than here. As he leaves, he hears Eddie ask: “Did I so something?” but he doesn’t care. Eddie did do something. He ruined Chimney’s life, he just doesn’t remember it.
He walks until he’s in the locker room, then decides this is far away enough to have a freak out.
Okay, so… Eddie might not remember telling Chimney this very big important secret. That is Bad, very bad. Fuck. What does he do? What is the plan?
Alright, Chimney, think. Eddie doesn’t know you know this, so Buck doesn’t either. They are oblivious as is the rest of the 118. It can remain that way. If he just keeps his mouth shut, they can pass this by without anything changing, it’s not his secret to tell anyway, so he should just keep it.
But they might get in trouble with HR. But is that Chimney’s problem? Maybe he can say he didn’t know when it comes out, that could work. But he also is a bad liar. But he can claim not being a dick and not wanting to out his coworkers, or say he thought it had been approved. Yeah, that could work. Chimney can totally make that work.
He nods to himself, glad to have made the decision. He is just about to rejoin everyone when Hen pokes her head around the door of the locker room. She asks: “Is everything okay? You just kind of ran away from Eddie, did something happen?”
“Me? Not okay? Of course I’m okay,” Chimney grins awkwardly. Okay, so maybe his acting casual skills need some work, but he’s trying!
“Chim,” Hen raises her brow at him with a tone that says: ‘you’re not fooling me, something is up and you better tell me right now.’
“Hen,” Chimney replies, hoping his tone conveys: ‘I know you know something and that you also know that I know that you know that I know something, however, for my sake, please do not ask me more.’
They stare at each other for a few seconds in a stand off, neither of them budging. Then Hen goes: “Alright, keep you secrets.”
“I know that’s a Lord of the Rings quote! You do pay attention when I force you to watch movies with me,” Chimney crows, both delighted at winning the stand off and at the confirmation that Hen does pay attention, even when she complains.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever,” she rolls her eyes, “just don’t come crying to me when whatever is going on, goes wrong.”
“I won’t,” Chimney promises, even though he’s not sure he’ll keep it and Hen knows it. Luckily, he doesn’t get called out on it, because the alarm starts to ring and they have to get their asses into gear instead.
Being on a call with Buck and Eddie isn’t much better. He continuously notices how close they are, the way their shoulders always bump together, the way they wordlessly communicate, the little glances and looks they give each other.
However, being on a call is a distraction, which is better than nothing. Focusing on a patient always puts him in a different mindset and he can ignore the Buck and Eddie show for a bit.
It’s worse to have down time. Chimney realizes very quickly his acting skills are worse than he thought and acting casual is practically not an option for him. Whenever he is around either Buck or Eddie for too long, he starts rambling, before having to remove himself from the situation.
Still, Buck and Eddie don’t have to make it so hard on him! He had already noticed they were close, but now he is just way too aware of the massive heart eyes they keep giving each other. Like, if they were keeping their marriage secret, could they at least act less sappy, in love around each other? For Chimney’s sake.
Less than a week has passed since their first shift back on after the drugging and Chimney is slowly losing it.
They’re back on today and Buck and Eddie are playing pool together. One could say they were shit talking each other, but Chimney couldn’t describe it as anything other than flirting. Badly flirting at that. God, they’re made for each other, he thinks disgusted. Why does he have to be lonely? It’s so unfair.
Apparently, he has been as unsubtle as Buck and Eddie have been, because Hen throws her hands up and exclaims: “Okay, I can’t take it anymore.”
“Wha?” Chimney blinks as everyone turns to look at her.
Hen places a hand on her hip and says: “You have been acting weird around Buck and Eddie since the drugging, just tell everyone what happened and put us all out of our misery! I can’t take this anymore.”
“Me? Weird? I’m not weird, I’m like so normal. I- I don’t know what you’re talking about, Hen,” he chuckles nervously, already glancing around for his best exit strategy.
“Chimney, I swear to fucking god, if you don’t-”
“Eddie told me him and Buck are married!” It bursts out of his mouth, the pressure becoming too much as he cracks under it. Immediately he cringes and slaps his hands over his mouth. He did not want to tell anyone like this. Hell, he hadn’t wanted to tell anyone at all!
“What?” Hen shrieks, clearly, this is not what she thought he’d say.
He squints slightly, chancing a peak at Buck and Eddie, who are completely frozen next to the pool table, staring at Chimney with horror.
Hen whirls around to where Buck and Eddie are, repeating loudly: “What!”
“Uh… Eddie was lying?” Buck offers after a few seconds, the answer sounding more like a question, as if he is asking them to believe his lie.
“No, he wasn’t, Chimney frowns, because he can’t have been. One, Buck is clearly lying right now, and two, Chimney did not torture himself for a week for it to not be true now.
“I have no clue what you are talking about,” Eddie says, sounding a little more believable than Buck does.
“You don’t?” Chimney starts doubting himself again. Buck did have that hook up phase, he wouldn’t do that if he was married, right? Maybe it was just a hallucination and that’s why Pepa never mentioned Buck, because it’s not real.
Oh god, what if it’s not real?
“I just- You sounded very sure of yourself,” Chimney stutters, feeling a bit like a fool now. “I mean, Buck was talking about Chris and chickens and then you mentioned you two meeting on a chicken farm, uh, the Johnson farm, I think it was.”
“How do you know about the John-” Buck cuts himself off as Eddie elbows him in the side and he clears his throat and says: “I mean, huh, Johnson farm. Don’t know it.”
Eddie face palms at the words and Chimney is now pretty confident that Eddie hadn’t been lying about the being married thing. Which is so much more confusing now. Just why couldn’t Eddie have kept his mouth shut? Why must Chimney go through this?
“You two better start talking right now,” Hen tells both of them, her eyes daring them to deflect or deny again.
“Okay, okay,” Eddie says, rubbing the bridge of his nose, “so me and Buck are married.”
“How long?”
“Uh,” Eddie thinks for a second, looking at Buck, who fills in: “Two years. Give or take, little more give than take.”
Eyes nearly fall out of both Chimney’s and Hen’s sockets. Chimney half assumed that it was a recent thing, maybe an impulsive marriage, post-Buck’s hook up phase at least, but two years? Uh, jikes, dude. Chimney and Hem exchange a glance.
Naturally, Eddie chooses this moment to become observant and suspicious back, asking: “What was that glance about?”
Chimney and Hen exchange another glance, before Chimney delicately says: “Uh, the- the two years is a bit of, uhm, a surprise? Uh, since- since neither of you acted very married.” He coughs. “I mean, especially Buck, uhm, during his probie year.”
Realization dawns on Buck’s face and Chimney really hopes he isn’t going to see the start of a divorce right now. He’s been put through enough.
“Oh, you mean the Buck having sex thing?” Eddie says, realization also hitting him. He sounds very casual about it and neither know if that is a good thing.
“That is not what you think!” Buck quickly exclaims, waving his hands about as he does. “That is so not what you think or what it looks like. Me and Eddie aren’t married like that. I wasn’t cheating on him, I swear.”
They look over to Eddie to confirm. Eddie doesn’t look very pleased, but he manages a smile to them as he explains: “It’s a marriage of convenience. Me and Buck are friends, just legally married for Chris’s benefit.”
Chimney’s voice is a little higher than normal due to the relief as he says: “Oh, that’s- that’s good. Really good.”
“Uh-huh,” Hen agrees. “So, how did that happen? And why the fuck did you lie about that?”
Now it’s Buck and Eddie’s turn to give each other a look, making a few facial expressions at one another before they seem to reach a consensus.
“Well, I worked at a chicken farm in El Paso and I met Chris there with Shannon, his mom. We kind of hit it off and I started babysitting,” Buck starts.
Eddie sees their question coming and interjects: “Me and Shan were already divorced then.”
“Oh, yeah, important detail,” Buck says sheepishly, before continuing: “Anyway, I babysat a lot, Eddie came back from tour, then Shan left to take care of her mom – long story, kind of shitty of her – but then I met Eddie, helped out more with Chris. Chris needed more surgery. Surgery is expensive. Eddie went back in the army. We got married so I could adopt Chris and look after him while Eddie was on tour. That’s kind of the spark notes.”
That is a lot of information to process and Chimney has a head start in the processing department. It is honestly the most Buck and Eddie move that the explanation makes almost less sense. But of course, these two are married as friends, because Buck dated Eddie’s ex-wife and then just hung around to help with the kid after she left. Somehow that makes perfect sense for him.
What is his life at this point?
Next to him, Hen seems to have processed most of what they just told them – there are still a thousand questions to be asked, but they at least have the basics – and is sharp enough to ask: “And what about my other question? Why did you two lie?”
Both Buck and Eddie look a little embarrassed about it with Eddie looking away with red ears, while Buck rubs the back of his head again.
“Uh, well, we wanted to work together,” Buck finally says. “It says no romantic partners in your probie year, but me and Eddie aren’t romantic, right, so then it doesn’t apply. But then we were thinking, when you know someone, people ask questions about how you know them and then the story would have come out and it’s a bit complicated and stuff. So, uh, we decided to lie.”
“Of fucking course you two did,” Hen sighs, taking off her glasses for a moment to pinch the bridge of her nose.
“Are you mad?” Buck asks, voice small. It never ceases to amaze Chimney just how vulnerable Buck can sound.
Instantly Hen melts a little, putting her glasses back on as she smiles: “Of course I’m not mad, Buck, just wrapping my head around it all.”
“Sorry,” Buck says and, hey! Why does Hen get a sorry? Chimney has been keeping this secret for a whole week, doesn’t he deserve credit for that? He was suffering!
“It’s okay,” Hen reassures him.
Then Eddie asks: “So, what is gonna happen now? You know, now that you know? Are you going to do something with it?”
“Oh no, definitely not. I’m not meddling more in this nonsense,” Hen says without skipping a beat and she is so right for that.
They look to Chimney, who says: “Yeah, no, I already went through enough for that secret, I’m not putting myself through more.”
Both Buck and Eddie seem to sag a little in relief, then Hen pulls the rug out from under them: “But you two gotta tell Bobby. He needs to know about this. Just in case.”
“What? No!” Buck exclaims horrified.
“Hen, please don’t make us do that,” Eddie begs.
Chimney can already tell by the way Hen is standing that she isn’t going to change her mind and he cackles loudly; vindication for his suffering! Maybe being forced into tripsitting everyone, isn’t the worst thing that could have happened to him.

It was just a film. That was all. It was a film, with some very talented actors, and some truly marvellous makeup artists and special effect artists.
Yeah, no, it wasn’t working. You were still freaked out. Even if, logically, you knew that zombies weren’t real and were, in fact, a biological impossibility, you couldn’t help but have that prickling feeling in the back of your neck. It didn’t help that Soap and Roach were playing silly beggars and sprinting around your apartment, knocking things over and making banging sounds that made you jump every single time. It was freaking you the fuck out. The brightness of the phone wasn’t doing much to soothe you, and you’d turned all the big lights on, yet still, your heart was racing. You shifted uncomfortably on your sofa, pulling your blanket tighter around you. Yeah, if there was gonna be a sudden apocalypse, a blanket would keep you safe.
The ping of your phone made you jump, and you huffed at your own anxiety. It was a film, dammit.
‘Ghost: What are you up to tonight? :-)’
Well, that made you feel better. Christ, you hoped he wasn’t planning a surprise visit; you were covered in Doritos dust, and there were soup stains on your pyjama bottoms.
‘You: Just having a little film night. How about you?’
‘Ghost: What you watching?’
‘You: Train to Busan. Korean zombie film! You gonna tell me what you’re doing or is it a state secret?’
‘Ghost: (image)’
Ghost was in the gym. He’d sent you the most stereotypical picture, sat on a bench, wearing a plain green t-shirt that you could see was drenched in sweat. His face was still fucked up; you could see it now that he wasn’t wearing the balaclava, though the bruises were beginning to change colour, tinged with an ugly green around the sides. You were sure that he was flexing his arms; his biceps looked bigger than you remembered. What would it feel like to be wrapped up in those? To have that big beast of a man on top of you?
‘You: TAKE IT OFF. :)’
Mm. You needed to be put down. What thirsty gods had possessed you to send that?
Immediately, you locked your phone and threw it to the other side of the sofa. There was laundry you could do! That would distract you. You dove into the chore with enthusiasm you never usually had, striding into your bedroom and stripping your bed with ferocious energy, throwing everything into the corner of your room, then scooping it up and carrying it out. You paused in the living room to gingerly check your phone, but there was no new message. Argh. At least you’d replaced your zombie fear with something more real. You placed a pillow on top of your phone and then walked into the kitchen to stuff your bedding in the washing machine, trying not to think about the inevitable rejection coming your way.
With the washing machine on, you went to the airing cupboard to get yourself fresh bedding, picking out a nice dark green cotton. There was no connection between you sending a risky text to Ghost and then getting fresh bedding. None at all. Naturally, Soap had decided that you absolutely needed his help putting the bedsheet on, leaping onto the centre of the bare mattress and watching you struggle with the corners of the fitted sheet. He liked to jump forward and slap at your hands as you smoothed out the wrinkles in the sheets, getting fresh white hair all over the nice, clean bedding, as was his way. You just about managed to stop him from crawling inside the duvet cover, finally ending up throwing him in the living room so you could make your bed in peace. He made his displeasure evident, yowling outside your door as you made your bed, but you ignored him, focusing on making an absolutely perfect fresh bed. Military standard, even.
You needed another task. You hadn’t taken a shower yet. You could do pre-shower makeup! That would kill at least half an hour minimum. Right, you needed your slut pop playlist and all the makeup you’d bought, thinking a bold red lip was going to be your new daily thing. Ah, the optimist you were. As soon as you opened the bedroom door to get your things, Soap came sprinting in, leaping onto your freshly made bed and zooming around in circles on it as though the duvet was the most exciting thing he’d ever seen. You gathered the essentials, fresh knickers, makeup bag, waterproof Bluetooth speaker, and your phone which you had now turned onto ‘do not disturb’. Yeah, you were ignoring him; he wasn’t ignoring you.
Oh, you were serving c u n t. Clearly, the very spirit of Gaga and Petras had touched you through the speakers, the spirit of artpop on your face in a bright splash of watercolour painted across your skin. It did look a little bit like you had clown bruising. But, you’d killed half an hour! You took a few photos for posterity, sent them to the group chat, then stripped off and hopped in the shower, bidding farewell to your look. With Gaga blaring while you showered, you really did feel as though you could win a lip sync, ignoring the fact that the shower did drown out a lot of your voice. You had to force yourself not to dance after almost slipping, deciding that dying like this was not how you wanted to go, even if it would be a little funny for the paramedics to hear the music.
With your face back to normal, you wrapped your hair up in a towel and pulled your dressing gown on, carrying the speaker into the living room, still blasting your slut playlist. Roach didn’t approve, skulking into the kitchen away from you. Hater.
For a moment, you didn’t hear the knocking, too lost in the beat of your music, but as the song ended, you heard it in the brief silence between tracks. Ah, shit. Your neighbours didn’t care for loud music. Absolutely no taste. You turned it down slightly, but not completely off, as you went to the door, peering through the peephole.
Oh no. Oh no no no.
Ghost was on the other side of the door. No balaclava, still wearing the t-shirt he’d been wearing in the gym. It was a text! A jest! Why would he come to your door? Fuck. You dithered at the door uncomfortably; you had nothing on under your dressing gown, and your knickers were stuffed in your pocket. Christ. How much of Petras had he heard? He reached forward to gently knock on the door again, and you panicked. Okay. You needed to change. Fuck, your good clothes were on the clothes horse.
“I know you’re on the other side of the door, darlin’.”
Oh, motherfucker. Of course, he would. Stupid military ass. He looked directly at you through the peephole, a very satisfied look on his face. “You only brave over texts?”
Oh, he knew how to play you like a fiddle. You immediately pulled the chain off and opened the door, your face defiant. “The chain got stuck.”
If he knew you were lying, which he probably did, he didn’t call you out directly, just giving you an amused nod, “Sure. May I come in?”
You stepped aside to let him in, only slightly embarrassed at the music that was still pumping out of your speakers. Ghost stifled a laugh, raising a brow and nodding towards the speakers, “These lyrics accurate?” Oh, Kim had betrayed you. He tilted his head to the side, “‘Treat me like a slut, little dirty bitch I love to fuck.’” You could feel your cheeks flushing, and you crossed your arms, “She makes good music!” Ghost looked like the cat who had caught the mouse and was having far too much fun playing with it. “Doesn’t answer my question, love.” You quickly stepped forward to press pause on your playlist before ‘Bring Wet Cunt’ started playing, and Ghost laughed, “Come on, you shy now?”
You took the towel from around your hair and threw it at his face. Like every other time you’d thrown anything at him, he caught it before it hit his face, laughing. His eyes flicked over your dressing gown, “Anything else you want to throw at me?” Christ alive, what had gotten into him? One flirty text, and he was trying to get you naked? Okay, no, you could do this. You were a bad bitch. You tried to look nonchalant, shrugging at him, “You expect me to strip for you when you won’t even take a single shirtless photo for me?”
That was the wrong move. You could see the way his eyes lit up, pupils widening. He leant in, close enough so you could smell his sweat mixed in with his cologne, intoxicatingly delicious, “It’s only coming off if you take it off.” Okay, be cool. You had to remember to breathe, taking in a slow breath, then pushing it out. You could be that bitch. You were going to wipe that smug smirk off his face. And maybe take him to bed. Your hands reached out to grab the hem of his shirt, beginning to lift it up, revealing just a touch of his lower stomach and the dark blond hair that led down into his joggers.
Ghost’s hands flashed out to grab yours, dropping the towel as his fingers encircled your wrists, his top dropping back down. Your anticipation was quickly replaced with smugness, and you broke out into a wide smile, looking at him triumphantly, “Oh, suck it! You chickened out.” His eyes narrowed, “Did not.” You bathed in your victory, “Uh huh. So this,” you wiggled your hands, still caught in his grip, “that’s not me winning?” He looked you up and down, eyes dark, “I’m stopping you from doing something you couldn’t handle.” He dropped your wrists, taking a step back from you, “‘sides, I need to get back to base.” It was impossible not to poke the bear. “You running away from me?” He snorted at you, “Nice try, love.”
The man seemed to have a lot more self-control than you; he seemed entirely uninterested again, looking around your apartment, “Where’s our boys?” You frowned, then realised you were jealous of cats, and gestured to the bedroom, “Soap’s ruining my freshly made bed, and Roach is… somewhere.” Ghost clicked his tongue a few times, and Soap came running out of the bedroom, meowing loudly as he rubbed against Ghost’s legs. Roach came sauntering out of the kitchen, only giving a singular chirp as he jumped up onto the coffee table. Ghost fussed them both, and you sighed, leaning against the wall, “You ever gonna tell me about the names?” Ghost didn’t look at you as he answered, scratching Roach’s shoulders, “Through memorial, we reach immortality.”
You raised a brow at him, but he didn’t elaborate. Memorial. So your cats were named after dead people? Ah. Dead soldiers. That explained the weird nicknames. You didn’t push the topic.
Ghost turned away from the cats and approached you, bending down to grab the towel as he walked, holding it out to you. As you took hold of it, he yanked on his end, pulling you closer. His hand snaked around the back of your neck, holding you in place as he whispered into your ear, “You think you’ve won, but you’ve just proved again how desperately you want me.” He straightened up as he let you go, his fingers tapping on your chin to make you look up, “Don’t quit trying, though, love. I do enjoy your little attempts.”
With that, he moved past you to the door, unlocking it and letting himself out, letting the door close behind him.
Every time you thought you had one over him, he pulled the rug out from under your feet. You groaned and shook out the tension from your body, deciding that you really needed to up your game. As you walked toward your bedroom, you dug in your pocket to get your clean pants out, but there was nothing there. Had he pickpocketed you? For the love of fuck.
Ghost had stolen your fucking underwear.
