My updated rankings/reviews of all the k dramas I have seen so far (up to 56 now). I would recommend any show I gave a C grade or higher, which is most of them. I bolded recently added shows.
1. Hometown Cha Cha Cha: An absolute masterpiece. It’s a heartwarming fish out of water story about a big city girl who finds herself in the quirkiest little seaside town. I wanted to stay in Gongjin forever. Grade: A+(Netflix)
2. Extraordinary Attorney Woo (S1): Delightful! Never have I ever rooted for a lead harder. She is the most endearing lead you will ever find. And the male lead is so so swoony. Grade: A+(Netflix)
3. Alchemy of Souls: The wildest of rides and the perfect blend of fantasy, adventure, mystery, comedy, and romance. The characters are just so lovable, you’ll never want it to end. Season 2 just as good as Season 1. Grade: A+ (Netflix)
4. Lovely Runner: the most beautiful love story ever told. ImSol and Sunjae forever! In every timeline! My only wish is that the drama would never end. Grade A (Viki)
5. My Demon: This show had me utterly enthralled, it was so mysterious and suspenseful and yet incredibly goofy and romantic. My new favorite main couple in all KDrama land. Yes it wasn’t perfect but I enjoyed it so much, it really encapsulated everything I love in a tv show. Grade: A (Netflix)
6. Love To Hate You: New fastest binge of my life. 10 episodes and I didn’t fast forward at all. There were no bad/slow parts. Also the funniest KDrama I’ve ever seen. Just watch it. You won’t regret it. Grade A+ (Netflix).
7. Business Proposal: It’s got every trope you can think of and it does them all to perfection. Plus it’s hilarious. Grade: A (Netflix)
8. Healer: This super romantic action mystery drama will keep you on the edge of your seat. Ji Chang Wook is equal parts sexy and adorable which is a seriously winning combination. Grade A (Viki). One caveat: I was very disappointed by a certain wardrobe decision in episode 3.
9.Her Private Life: Super funny and charming. The romantic leads have incredible chemistry. The premise is so good! Might be the one of the most rewatchable kdramas. Grade: A (Netflix)
10. Castaway Diva: Just utterly heartwarming. An instant classic. Ultimate underdog, redemption, story that teaches us what real love and family is. Also Ki-Ho is the new standard by which all men will be judged. Grade: A (Netflix)
11. Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung: Great strong female lead. Very good messages. Couldn’t stop watching. The most adorable prince I’ve ever seen 💜Cha Eunwoo💜 Grade: A (Netflix)
12. Bad Prosecutor: Absolutely thrilling and hilarious. It’s like a heist, detective, lawyer, action comedy that will keep you wondering who is outsmarting who? Super shocking plot twists. Amazing OST. Stuck the landing with a truly satisfying finale. Grade A (Viki)
13. Sh**ting Stars: Probable the biggest turnaround of any show I’ve seen (The “Africa” part was so problematic). However it turned out to be one of the funniest and swooniest KDramas out there. There are 5 couples and you will cheer for all of them. Grade: A- (Viki)
14. Strong Woman Do Bong Soon: The main couple is absolutely everything! Just fast forward through pretty much every side plot (they are not important) and you’ll love it. Grade: A- (Viki)
15. So I Married the Anti-Fan: It’s campy, fluffy, goodness, with a fierce female lead and a K-pop star enemy/love interest. 2nd fastest binge of my life. Grade: A- (Viki)
16. 100 Days My Prince: An absolute classic period drama romcom. Who knew D.O. could kiss like that? Such a great strong female lead. I LOVE a show with adorable, quirky, townspeople. Grade: A- (Netflix)
17. Romance is a Bonus Book: Might be the most romantic K-Drama I’ve ever seen. Nothing about the trailer or setup intrigued me but I’m so glad I watched it anyway. It was a truly beautiful love story. Grade: A- (Netflix)
18. Because This Is My First Life: This drama really does everything right for me… A slow burn romance built on mutual love and respect. Supporting characters who I genuinely cared about and had incredible side stories of their own. A critique of the patriarchy. Women supporting women. An adorable cat. Maybe a bit melodramatic at times but not too much. Grade A- (Netflix)
19. Start-Up: Exceptional acting, compelling storylines, intriguing plot twists, great cinematography, intense love triangle. It’s just all around high quality. Grade: A- (Netflix)
20. Run On: Cute, fun, silly and pretty light. I especially loved the supporting cast. Strange storyline but it was a fun easy ride. Grade: A- (Netflix)
21. Forbidden Marriage: This is a weird show, but weird in the best way. It’s like a comedy, horror, romance, fictional-historical. I don’t know how to describe it but it’s really fun. B+(Viki)
22. Soundtrack #1: Short and beautiful. I just loved it. No one does heart eyes better than Park Hyung-Sik. Grade: B+(Disney+)
23. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo: A bad-ass yet vulnerable female lead. The main couple just had a lot of fun together. Refreshing. Grade: B+ (Viki)
24. Doctor Slump: This show was a really nice journey of both mental health and romance. Grade: B+ (Netflix)
25. Welcome to Samdalri: Very heartwarming and beautiful story about love, family, friendship, and going home. It has quirky townspeople and Ji Chang Wook 😍 what’s not to love? Grade: B+ (Netflix)
26. My Lovely Liar: Creative and engaging premise, intriguing mystery, and a swoon worthy romance. A very fun viewing experience. Grade: B+ (Viki)
27. King the Land: This drama pretty much has no stakes or conflict and the main couple has THE MOST chemistry I have ever seen in my entire life. So if you just want to turn your brain off and be happy, this is the drama for you. I absolutely loved it. Grade: B+ (Netflix)
28.Law Cafe: This drama has so much to love, a strong/fierce/brilliant and morally righteous female lead, lovable side characters, steamy romance. But what I loved most was how the show spotlighted important issues like consent and abuse in nuanced and progressive ways. Yes it’s a fun rom-com but it felt like the beginning of a new chapter of more egalitarian storytelling which made me really excited for the future of k-dramas. Grade: B+ (Viki)
29. Not Others: A lovely Gilmore Girls type show about the relationship between an immature mother and her very mature adult daughter. It was a pleasure seeing them grow in their relationships with each other, others, and themselves. I want more! Grade B+ (Viki)
30. Cheer Up: Sports, comedy, romance, mystery, suspense, coming of age, this show had everything. The female lead was the lovable, feisty, driven, and brave. The male lead was adorkable, considerate, and sweet. It’s all very enjoyable and wholesome. Grade: B+ (Viki)
31. I Am Not A Robot: Zany premise but it was surprisingly pretty grounded for how crazy the set up was. It’s funny, emotional, good story telling. Great character development. Grade: B+ (Viki)
32. The Atypical Family: A really good healing family drama. I was a bit bored at times but it was overall very good. I liked all the mysteries a lot. Grade: B+ (Netflix)
33. See You in My 19th Life: The shared experience of watching this mystical mystery drama week to week made it a really enjoyable watch. Not sure if it was totally satisfying, or that any of the couples’ chemistry felt authentic, but it was a very interesting and creative storyline. Grade B (Netflix)
34. Summer Strike: This show made me cry a lot. It’s heartbreaking yet healing. I’m still not sure if I liked watching it or not but it was a beautiful story of found family. Grade B (Netflix).
35. Shopping King Louie: Adorable! So many light fluffy feels for this show but it does drag a bit in the second half. Grade B (Viki)
36. Fight For My Way: Such lovable leads. Love the fierce female lead and adorable himbo male lead. It’s like a coming of age story but for 30 year olds. Storyline was ok. Second couple was skippable. Grade: B (Viki)
37. What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim: More PSJ is always a good thing. This drama did all the tropes in ways that didn’t always feel fresh, but it was very romantic and hilarious. A true classic. Grade: B (Viki)
38. Touch Your Heart: If you can just stick it out through the first few very shaky episodes, you will enjoy this adorable, fluffy, series. Grade: B- (Netflix)
39. Doom at Your Service: It was sometimes real sad yet ultimately a heart warming mystical story. Grade: B- (Viki)
40. True Beauty: Fun, cute, teen drama however, it’s a little too “antsy teen” for me. Cha Eunwoo though💜 Grade: C+ (Viki)
41. Destined With You: The chemistry between the main couple was absolutely sizzling. Rowoon was both hilarious and next level adorable. However, the plot and the characterization of women occasionally made me very frustrated. Grade: C+ (Netflix).
42. Suspicious Partner: Great story, great characters, attractive actors, beautiful romance, interesting plot, sometimes funny, sometimes suspenseful, but with 40 episodes, the plot was dragged. Grade C+ (Viki)
43. Crash Landing On You: The first half is GREAT but the second half is way too melodramatic for my taste. It’s a very interesting storyline, the main couple has insane chemistry, and there are very lovable side characters. Grade: C+ (Netflix)
44. Secret Romantic Guesthouse: First few episodes were a fun scooby gang mystery, middle episodes were super boring, last 3 episodes were crazy fast paced and thrilling. It ended well- I’ll give it that. Grade: C (Viki)
45. Dear.M: It was inoffensive and decently entertaining. If you like school dramas, you’ll probably enjoy it. Grade: C (Viki).
46. A Good Day To Be A Dog: The storyline is bonkers but very intriguing. It started off so well but the storyline lost its way in the back half. But hey, Cha Eunwoo + dogs, it’s worth the watch. Grade: C (Viki).
47. Angel’s Last Mission: Love: This drama was very similar to Doom At Your Service but it was more a bit more redundant with all of the tragedy and crying. I LOVED the chemistry of the main couple but I found myself fast forwarding a lot. Grade: C- (Viki)
48. Marry My Husband: Episodes 1-11 were phenomenal. Such an interesting premise with shocking twists and turns. After episode 11 it seemed like there were new writers who had never seen the show. Very disappointing but top tier villains. Grade: C-
49. Our Beloved Summer: I LOVED V’s “Christmas Tree” OST however I struggled to keep watching. Boring storyline but great acting. Grade: D+ (Netflix)
50. Heavenly Idol: An absolute hot mess. It was completely convoluted and just low quality but I also weirdly liked it. I can’t bring myself to rank it higher because I know how bad it was but I actually enjoyed it better than many shows I ranked ahead of it. Grade: D+ (Viki)
51. My Secret Romance: The story of a total screw up female lead falling for a manipulative, gaslighting, hottie. It was problematic yet fun? So 🤷‍♀️ Grade: D+ (Netflix)
52. My Man Is Cupid: Pros: many cute dogs, sometimes those dogs wear human clothes, cute ending. Cons: Makes no sense, not much chemistry, murder plot takes up too much time. Grade D+ (Prime).
53. She Would Never Know: As handsome as Rowoon is, I found his character problematic at the beginning (no means no buddy) but he did get a lot better as the show went on. I just ended up skipping to watch just the scenes with the main couple, which made the show way more enjoyable. Grade D (Netflix)
54. My Love From the Star: I found myself fast forwarding a lot through all the parts that didn’t involve the main couple and most of the flashbacks. Grade D (Viki)
55. Goblin: The age gap is too disturbing for me, like call the police disturbing. However, the Grim Reaper who is one of the most adorable characters I’ve ever seen. Grade: D- (Viki)
56. Extra-Ordinary You: I have never felt so betrayed by a second half of a series as I did in this one. All of the character development that it seemed to be leading to was replaced by a pretty sickening codependent relationship. Grade: D- (Viki).
Currently Watching: My Sweet Mobster
Dramas I’m Thinking About Watching: Gaus Electronics, Bad and Crazy, Hospital Playlist, Another Miss Oh, Oh My Venus, My Roommate is Gumiho, She Was Pretty, Crash Course in Romance, Soundtrack #2
Dramas I just couldn’t Finish (I’m sorry I tried): Today’s Webtoon, Once Upon a Small Town, Love in Contract, Hotel Del Luna, Kings Affection, Record of Youth, Behind Your Touch, Sparkling Watermelon, Tale of Nine Tailed 1938, Strong Girl Nam Soon, The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract, Wedding Impossible
What are your thoughts on these shows? Do you agree or disagree with my rankings? Any k-romcom recommendations that are not on the list yet?

Hi, so you do not have to publish your respond or answer at all 😉 But beside Five x Lila and Brienne x Jaime what other pairings do you ship? Much love 💜
Hi! 👋🏻
I don’t mind answering- the main thing I use tumblr for is appreciating and talking about ships that I love so it’s not an issue to answer this by any means :)
I haven’t watched a ton of new shows lately, mostly rewatching older favorites or watching new-to-me-but-not-new-this-year foreign tv shows. But I will put a few below (I liked the main couple in the foreign shows) and some of my older ships after that! 😊
Foreign TV shows (I don’t often find a lot of fanfic/ fan art for foreign TV shows comparatively but I loved these series):
-Love Between Fairy and Devil (cdrama)
-The Manny (Mexican TV show)
-Hidden Love (cdrama)
-Strong Woman Do Bong Soon (kdrama)
-Ever Night (cdrama)
-Love, Now (Taiwan drama)
-Tale of the Nine-Tailed (kdrama)
-Happiness (kdrama)
-Mischievous Kiss (jdrama)
-Boys Over Flowers (kdrama, but I like Ji Hoo/ Jan Di instead of the main couple of Joon Pyo/ Jan Di)
And several others, but those are the ones I remember at the moment.
Main ships from American and/ or western shows and movies (though I probably like others from the same franchise too):
-Marvel: Steve/ Peggy and Clint/ Natasha are my main ships. I really enjoy Bucky/ Sam too, but I haven’t ventured to them quite as much.
-Barney/ Robin from How I Met Your Mother
-Penelope and Colin from Bridgerton. Really liked Kate/ Anthony too.
-Carol/Daryl from The Walking Dead followed by Rick/ Michonne (admittedly I slowly lost interest in the series after Glenn died, & I think I mainly stopped watching after Carl died. But I love the ship still)
-Tony/ Ziva from NCIS
-Deeks/ Kensi from NCIS LA
-Rollins/ Carisi from SVU followed by Benson/ Barbara. (All 3 of which, NCIS/ NCIS LA/ SVU, I didn’t finish or don’t really keep up with regularly)
-Harry/ Hermione from Harry Potter
-Penny/ Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory (I probably stopped watching regularly after season 5 though)
-Chloe/ Oliver from Smallville
-Enola/ Tewksbury from Enola Holmes TV show
-Uncas/ Alice from Last of the Mohicans movie
-Casey/ Kevin from Split & Glass (they’re one of my more problematic ships, TBH)
Cartoons/ Anime/ Comics:
-Starfire/ Robin from 2003 Teen Titans cartoon & the 1980s comics & live action tv show, also known as Dick/ Kory followed by Beast Boy/ Raven (or Garfield/ Rachel)
-Bruce/ Selina (pretty much any Batman universe I’ve seen)
-Naruto/ Hinata from Naruto. Shikamaru and Temari are a secondary fav for me.
-Ichigo/Orihime from Bleach. I also like Renji/ Rukia.
-Toph/ Zuko from Avatar the Last Airbender, but I prefer them as a post-original series couple. She’s too young for me to want them together during the show. Katara/ Aang.
Pretty much any of the studio Ghibli main characters, though there are still a few films I need to see…
Honorable mention to Lily/ Sebastian in the Love, Lies, & Hocus Pocus book series I’m currently reading…
There’s probably a ton of other ones (certainly there are more shows/ movies I love that I don’t necessarily have a ship for or that I just didn’t have a ship I went to fanfic for) but these were the ships I most remember from growing up and/or from reading fanfic/ fan art in the last 10 years or so…
What about you? What are some of your ships? I don’t suppose we have any other overlapping ships or shows, do we?
And much love right back at you! 🩵

A bold question but - favorite kdrama:
- to recommend to newbies to kdrama
- actor
- actress
- romantic pairing
- to rematch
- of all time
Please and thank you - I love your posts!
a bold question indeed! i will try to answer it the best i can
- to recommend to newbies to kdrama: doom at your service or business proposal. i feel like it's a good mix and they're pretty current. i would recommend some classics but they're pretty outdated and they're very different from how kdramas are now. one of my first kdramas was strong woman do bong soon, now that was insanity.
- actor: there are way too many but if you held a gun to my head.... lee dong wook probably. and seo in guk
- actress: kim se jeong, i will watch anything with her in it. also lee sung kyung is a favorite
- romantic pairing: i will always go insane for hong cha young and vincenzo
- to rewatch (i assume it's a typo): i rarely rewatch kdramas i could count on one hand the dramas i've rewatched mainly because i always had something new to watch but i recently rewatched business proposal and i think it's very rewatchable. i want to rewatch gaus electronics as well
- of all time: vincenzo. this is the vincenzo fan blog. don't @ me

haha, I'm sorry for stressing you out.
I love extraordinary you too. I ended up still having some unanswered questions, but overall I enjoyed it so much. especially because haru is such a pretty boy. 🤧
omg, that is so exciting!! actually doom at your service is in my top 5, with strong woman do bong soon, melting me softly, descendants of the sun and maybe vagabond. some honorable mentions are hometown cha-cha-cha, may I help you, love in the moonlight and crash course in romance. now I see what I put you through, I'm so sorry.
then, what are some kdramas that you disliked. I've noticed a pattern in mine: those before 2010. I mean, I don't dislike them all (coffee prince is one that I enjoyed a lot), but for example full house or secret garden had me wanting to punch a wall most of the time.
— ☕️!
srsly why is it so stressful to choose fav dramas 😭 its like with movies or songs, theres too many to choose from!!
putting a read more bc i talked so much bahahha
and right omg i watched extraordinary you at the beginning of lockdown and i fell in love with haru/rowoon so bad that i started stanning sf9 after that, i was such a big fan of them that whole year hahahaha, and yeah it does have some plot holes but honestly the romance was so cute i didnt even mind
gosh we've seen such different dramas hahaha i havent seen any in your top 5! ofc ive heard about strong woman though, and thats also on my list. crash course in romance was so fun i rmb watching it as it came out and i really loved their romance but god the murder mystery side plot is not for me 😭 i dont usually mind a mix of genres but romance with thriller isnt my thing i guess, i like it better when they're seperate. and love in the moonlight omg i watched it ages ago, and actually i dont rmb anything about it so ig that tells you its def not one of my favs 😭 i usually love historical dramas but i think the female lead disguised as eunuch trope is not for me either !
and omg, i havent ever watched a drama from before 2010 actually, bc ive heard that theyre such a product of their time and have like really sexist/fatphobic etc undertones with like toxic male leads and plot lines that just drag on and on bahaha, coffee prince is such a classic though i should watch it!!
for me its pretty rare that i dont like a kdrama cause if im not into it then i'll just drop it and forget about it, but one that i did watch and hated til the end was cheese in the trap because the male lead in insaaaaaane literally a psychopath and the female lead (park goeun bless her heart) is so wishy-washy, worst case of second lead syndrome i ever got in my life!! im going through my watched kdramas, and a lot that ive seen i remember enjoying as i watched but they just didnt stick with me afterwards. i rmb being super frustrated with love alarm, nevertheless (but that one wins back points for incredible casting/side stories/overall vibes lol, im actually considering rewatching...) and itaewon class! then some that i fully stopped watching are love in contract, she would never know, arthdal chronicles, detectives of seonam girls' high school and hotel del luna. i also stopped watching goblin and tale of the nine-tailed around ep 10 but i do plan on picking them back up at some point lol

im literally a tv show junkie ty for the tag lissie ❤️
theres a common theme in mine too but there are some outliers 😭😭 anyways on my 7th strong woman do bong soon rewatch 🙏🏽 from left to right: awkward. (2011-2016) love triangles had me on a chokehold in 2015 and still do!!! should not have been watching this show in middle school but 😭 the mindy project (2012-2017) its so good, TOO good!!! want to say it shouldve ended in season 3 but no, idc danny got weird, the show was still funny!!! it was just too good. never have i ever (2020-2023) patiently waiting for that season 4. nhie is mediocre in the best way possible, me and my roommate bonded over watching it 😭 yumi’s cells (2021-ongoing) i cried SO MUCH. SOOOOO MUCH. woong my perfect boyfriend ill take you 😭😭😭 on a serious note though it was just so three dimensional, like every character made me love them hate them yk?? i could write an entire essay on just how GOOD the synopsis is on its own 😭 the sex lives of college girls (2021-) it was pretty good idk if its my favourite but i am patiently waiting for a season 3 currently so for now, yes its my favorite 😭 i just realized how tiring it is to type SO ILL END THIS HERE SORRY EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS, THE GOOD PLACE, 2521!!
(if anyone has watched these shows plz id love to talk to you😭😭)

Okay buy im like doyoung is nerdy but hiding his abs so like
Sexy nerd.
Pretends to be innocent only to corrupt you
Or like, shy kid in high school becomes sexy ceo
Doyoung is a sexy nerd, hands down no argument
But I mean, I feel like both of those scenarios would fit him very well, like he could easily play the innocent, but then when you’re together you realize he’s more perverted and sexual than you expected (and you love it, the way he corrupts you, opening you up to trying new things).
But also someone cast him in the role in a drama where it starts out showing him and his best girl friend (who is clearly pining for him) are in high school and they’re both shy dorks and he’s in love with the most popular beautiful girl who’s honestly kinda a bitch, like she’s so rude to everyone and for what? And she’s mean to him and just walks all over him because she knows that he has a crush on her but she thinks he’s too quiet and he looks dorky. But then something happens and there’s a time skip forward a few years to when he’s a hotshot CEO and his best friend is doing her own thing but they’re still really good friends, and the bitchy popular girl actually works as a model promoting Doyoung’s company and she tries so hard to get his attention now and she’s such a kiss up, and tries so hard to play into his good graces by leaning on that old crush that he had on her, but that is long gone, like Doyoung grew up, he let his attractiveness shine and grew more confident in himself and helped build this company up from the ground. And his best friend is still pining after him, trying to be supportive when he goes on dates with rich and beautiful women, when he goes to fancy banquet dinners and parties and big to-dos for the company with gorgeous models and important women of other companies, but she’s so jealous because she wants to be there and now he’s just the sexy CEO of this hot company and basically half of the show is just her pining after him, and Doyoung being unaware until they have this big blow up fight over something to do with his company that she disagrees with, and she storms off, gets in an accident, and he of course rushes to the hospital to see her and he’s in distress, sitting there at her bedside because she’s in a coma or at least just unconscious still, and he holds her hand and just thinks about how important she is to him, and how she’s been there for him through everything and how much he loves her and he realizes that he really, really loves her, like he’s in love with her, but before she wakes he has to go because he can’t go through with the thing happening with his company that she disagreed with. So he’s gone when she wakes, and instead there’s a very attractive doctor or nurse or man visiting another patient, and she likes him when he stops by to talk with her, and she agrees to go on a date with him when she’s out of there. So she starts dating this doctor/nurse/other guy, and Doyoung can’t believe he missed his chance to tell her how he felt, and he’s not an asshole, he won’t confess now that she seems to be happy in a new relationship. And basically right after he gets his heart broken with the news of her being happy dating the new guy, the bitchy popular girl from high school approaches him again and Doyoung let’s it happen, he takes her on a date and they sleep together that night and his best friend finds out because she comes over early the next morning to have Sunday morning brunch with him like they always do, but Doyoung forgot what day it was and he didn’t have the girl from high school leave, so they’re still in bed when the best friend walks in and it’s just heartbreaking to both doyoung and her, and the other girl doesn’t really realize what she’s in the middle of. Brunch is awkward though because neither doyoung or his best friend want the other girl to be there and they don’t really want to even be having their brunch but the other girl insists that they still do it, and then she doesn’t leave, she just makes herself at home eating brunch with them, and she actually helps prepare it and it turns out she’s a good cook, and she’s actually pretty friendly to Doyoung’s best friend and she apologizes to both of them for how she was in high school, and she swears that she’s grown and changed a lot since then.
So then the thing happens where like brunch actually went quite well, after her acknowledgement and apology for how she acted to them both. She becomes kinda friends with the two of them, and Doyoung’s best friend believes that Doyoung’s been secretly dating her and is still sleeping with her, but she puts on a happy face for him (even though really none of that is true) and keeps dating her guy who she realizes that she doesn’t have real feelings for actually, none that come anywhere close to being as strong as her feelings for Doyoung, so she breaks up with him. But now her and Doyoung believe that the other is still dating someone else. There’s also probably some corporate espionage issue or something that’s going on as a background plot behind all of this romance. And because of that issue there would be some dramatic scene where one or both of them get kidnapped or have their life threatened in front of the other, and that would be the moment when they both realize that they don’t care of the other is in love with someone else, they just have to let it be known their feelings are real. So they both end up confessing to each other, and then they’re rescued or the police come and stop the life-threatening moment, and they have their first kiss and then there’s only like an episode or two after this one of them being happy and the girl from high school being so supportive and happy for them because she really is a good person now and has become a good friend to them both and it’s a happily ever after

My K-drama recommendation master list part 1
I've recently found that people who just got into k-dramas don't know where to start, and more often than not, feel overwhelmed by all the content.
Before I give my recommendations, I'm going to say where I watch my k-dramas and how I watch them (and legality of it)
My main source of content are Netflix and Viki (VPNs may come in handy). In Viki, there are some shows available for free with ads, but they have different plans. I have the highest plan (by volunteering) and in Netflix, well, there is a category for k-dramas.
Now, I won't talk about cdramas in this post, but I will talk about other sites I use to watch content, and well, most of them are for cdramas.
Qiyi (I used it for a while, but you're not missing much without it)
YouTube (you can watch cdramas and Thai dramas legally and completely free as studios upload them to their YouTube channel)
Dramacool (now, this one I use sparingly and for watching a variety show mostly, as it's not legal, but it's free and safe. THIS IS A LAST RESORT, ALWAYS TRY TO SUPPORT THE CONTENT)
Moving on to what you actually came here for, my kdrama recommendations, according to themes and genres.
If you're an absolute beginner, here are my recs (and they don't include boys over flowers)
The Legend of the Blue Sea (2016) It has Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun as the main leads, it's 20 episodes long with an special, most episodes lasting less than an hour. It's a modern fantasy romantic comedy. On a personal note, it's probably my most rewatched k-drama. Available in Viki with no membership needed.
Kiss Goblin (2020) This one is a short web drama, following the theme of modern fantasy romance. While the quality of production might not be as great as other dramas listed here, this is one of the most wholesome k-dramas you will see. It's 12 episodes long, each shorter than 15 minutes, and also available to watch for free on Viki.
Coffee Prince (2007) A true classic among k-dramas, starring two iconic Korean leads; Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye. While some of the tropes are problematic, and some overdone (Although they were the first to do them), this is, in my opinion, one of the best classics out there. It's 17 episodes long, each one lasting an hour or a little bit more. It's a romantic comedy available on viki plus.
Not into romance? A little bit more of a med drama myself, here are my recs
Being right on S2 D-day, my top all around k-drama recommendation: Hospital Playlist (2020) is a drama about a group of 5 doctors and their daily life in the hospital. It's more accurate than most shows I've seen, and it doesn't glamourize medical life in any way. The first season is 12 episodes long, each lasting on average 1:20 hours, except for the last one, which is nearly two hours long. Available on Netflix.
D-Day (2015) is a disaster med drama, which tells the story of doctors struggling to continue on after a catastrophical earthquake in Korea (Fictional of course). It's 20 episodes long, with each episode lasting about an hour. Available on viki.
Dr. Romantic (2016 & 2020) There are two series, I prefer the first one, but they both hold good on their own. It's a good k-drama to pass the time, but it does grow repetitive on the second series. Available with VIki Pass Plus. Dr Romantic has 21 episodes lasting about an hour, and Dr. Romantic 2 has 16 episodes with about the same length.
But... I want an entertaining law drama. Don't worry, I got you
Lawless Lawyer (2018) a slightly biased because Lee Joon Gi is my absolute fav, and is just so bingeworthy. It's 16 episodes long action packed law drama. It's honestly one of the best. Available on Viki.
Law School (2021) also slightly biased because Kim Bum is also one of my favs, but this one touches on so many social issues, and is just so bingeworthy. It's 16 episodes long , each one lasting a little over an hour. It also has one of the best written leads I've seen. Available on Netflix.
Fine, but I like to suffer and cry my eyes out. Well, get your tissues out, because I have some for you.
Move to Heaven (2021) will make you cry every episode, and will leave you devoid of tears by the end of it. It's 10 episodes long, each one lasting on average an hour. Available on Netflix.
Rain or Shine (2017) is a love story filled with sorrow, and pain. It didn't make me cry, but it's really freaking sad at times. It's 16 episodes long, each one lasting like 75 minutes. Available on Viki.
Hi, Bye Mama (2020) is about a dead mother seeing the world move on. Pretty freaking sad. I cried most of the episodes.
A Piece of Your Mind (2020) Look, the premise of this story is about trying to preserve the human mind, and about grief and moving on. It's 12 episodes long, each one lasting around 70 minutes. Available on viki.
Mr. Sunshine (2018) I'll put it like this, this one is one of my favorites, and I still can't bring myself to watch it again, because the ending left me feeling all sort of feelings for weeks. It's 24 episodes long, each one lasting about 80 minutes.
Look, all of them have been great, but can you recommend me one with strong female leads? Of course, here ya go.
Run On (2020) Look, this one has a couple that turns the overbearing CEO trope on its head. It's 16 episodes long, averaging 70 minutes per episode. Available on Netflix.
Mello is My Nature (2019) is honestly a feminist anthem. It's 16 episodes long. Available on Viki.
Search: WWW (2019) Women are at the center of the narrative, and are the ones who make the world tick. It's 16 episodes long averaging 70 minutes per episode. Available on Viki.
Hello, My Twenties (2017) It's about a girl dorm and the sorority they begin to build. It has 2 great seasons. Available on Netflix.
Weight Lifting Fairy Kim (2016) We love this romantic comedy that puts the end to a lot of cliches. It's 16 episodes long, averaging 60 minutes per episode.
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon (2017) A girl with supernatural strength, what else can I say?
I'm still reading, you haven't mentioned thrillers... Here's some for you, thank you for sticking around.
Beyond Evil (2021) A great thriller filled with plot twists, and refreshing. Available on Netflix and Viki.
Flower of Evil (2020) Lee Joon Gi is the lead, and it's a romantic thriller. An interesting concept. Available on Viki.
Dark Hole (2021) I still don't know wtf I watched, but I still watched it. Available on viki.
Forest of Secrets (2017 & 2020) One of the best thrillers out there. Available on Netflix.
Fine, you seem to find a lot of recommendations, I'll bite, what about action?
Rugal (2020) Action Sci Fi with an awesome soundtrack. Available on Netflix.
The Uncanny Counter (2020) Paranormal action...? Awesome series, my brain is turning into putty....
The K2 (2016) It took me a long time to get around to watch it, but it was worth it. Available on Netflix.
Two Weeks (2013) Third Lee Joon Gi entry, absolutely awesome. Available on Viki.
Stick around for a part 2, bc I grew too tired, and the post is already too long, and the images wouldn't load, so you're stuck with a text dump.

hi! could you tell what are you favorite dramas over time that you’ve watched? 🤍
Hi hi! I’m pretty sure I have answered similar asks before but it’s been a while and I have watched more dramas! I also feel like my perspective on some past dramas (that I’ve called a favorite or recommended) have changed. I do have a drama list page here you can check out but I haven’t updated it in a long time lol. I’ll list my absolute favorite dramas + also some that I enjoyed and would recommend to give a try~
Japanese Dramas:
— Itsuka Nemuri ni Tsuku Hi (2019) | episodes: 06, duration: 25 min. genres: fantasy, friendship, school, supernatural.
This one still makes my heart hurt whenever I think about it and I just simply love it to pieces. It really has left an lasting impression on me. Short and bittersweet. ♡
— Talio Fukushu Daiko no Futari (2020) | episodes: 07, duration: 45 min. genres: comedy, crime, investigation, suspense.
It’s been months since this one has ended but I still haven’t shut up about it. As of right now I can definitely say overall it’s my favorite Asian drama I’ve watched so far. The way both leads played off each other and their chemistry was just- a++ The soundtrack for the drama was also such a treat and the vibes matched it so well! The vibes of the whole drama though!! I think it was also shot beautifully. And the consistency (!!! the way they kept things going even the smallest details !!!) throughout was something I really appreciated and looked forward too :’) I really be missing it everyday... </3
+ special mentions:
- Koi wa Tsuzuku yo Dokomade mo (2020)
- Bishoku Tantei Akechi Goro (2020)
- Kishibe Rohan wa Ugokanai (2020)
- An no Ririkku: Sakuragi An Haiku Hajimetemimashita (2021)
- Uchi no Musume wa, Kareshi ga Dekinai (2021)
Korean Dramas:
— Splash Splash Love (2015) | episodes: 02, duration: 1 hr. 10 min. genres: comedy, historical, romance, supernatural.
This one isn’t an full length drama but a special. It’s just a fun and charming drama? Like not exactly sure what about it made me love it so much? but I do and it’s an easy/quick watch. :)
— Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016) | episodes: 16, duration: 1 hr. 22 min. genres: comedy, fantasy, melodrama, romance, supernatural.
Ah, so I feel like everyone who’s seen a kdrama or looked up some has watched/heard of Goblin and from what I’ve seen it’s like either you loved it or hate it? I’m someone who did love it and the soundtrack for it was a+. Goblin was something I watched when I just started getting into kdramas so that might be a reason for me always mentioning as a favorite though! Also my love for Lee Dong-Wook as Grim Reaper... and the bromance/comedy were the best parts for me!
— While You Were Sleeping (2017) | episodes: 32, duration: 30 min. genres: comedy, fantasy, mystery, romance, thriller.
So, the first kdrama I ever watched! It holds a special place in my heart because of that fact! The soundtrack for this drama also... I remember listening to it on repeat for a while after finishing. :’) I don’t regret this being the first I watched because I remember being super into it (I’ve rewatched like two times tbh when I had hulu back when lol) and it introduced me into kdramas. I still love make gifs for it because it was such a pretty drama as well. ♡
— Run On (2020) | episodes: 16, duration: 1 hr. 15 min. genres: life, romance, sports.
PLEASE, best kdrama of 2020 for meeee! Honestly Run On was such a treat?? Ugh I be missing it. It was just too good. It gave us the most chaotic energy and epic moments. Like when will another kdrama ever??? Also me liking literally almost all the characters?! I struggle with always being annoyed/disliking every other characters in dramas that aren’t like the mains. So it’s really one I enjoyed from beginning to end and looked forward to seeing all the characters ending. For me each episode just top the next and there wasn’t an episode I didn’t enjoy! ♡
+ special mentions:
- Bad Guys (2014)
- Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo (2016)
- Strong Woman Do Bong Soon (2017)
- Secret Forest (2017) + season 2 (2020)
- Prison Playbook (2017)
- Chicago Typewriter (2017)
- Life on Mars (2018)
- What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim (2018)
- Extraordinary You (2019)
- 365: Repeat the Year (2020)
- A Piece of Your Mind (2020)
- Handmade Love (2020)
Chinese Dramas:
*I want to say that there hasn’t been a cdrama yet that I’ve really loved and felt like a connection/attachment to? But I have enjoyed many so I’ll list the few that come to mind!
- Unexpected (2018)
- Go Go Squid (2019)
- Joy of Life (2019)
- Put Your Head on My Shoulder (2019)
- Dating in the Kitchen (2020)
+ special mentions to these few others:
Thai Drama: Girl Next Room: Richy Rich (2020)
Taiwanese Drama: Wacko at Law (2020)

(Old ranking - go to my blog for updated rankings)
My rankings/reviews of all the k dramas I have seen so far (up to 26 now). My top 5 has been cracked by 2 shows! Netflix k-dramas are just killing it. I would recommend any show I gave a C grade or higher. I bolded the 5 new dramas I’ve added.
*= reserving the right to change ranking after season 2.
1) Hometown Cha Cha Cha: An absolute masterpiece. It’s a heartwarming fish out of water story about a big city girl who finds herself in the quirkiest little seaside town. I wanted to stay in Gongjin forever. Grade: A+(Netflix)
2)*Extraordinary Attorney Woo (S1): The most delightful show ever. Never have I ever rooted for a lead harder. She is the most endearing lead you will ever find. And the male lead is THE standard by which all men will forever be judged. Grade: A+(Netflix)
3)Business Proposal: Bumped this up again cause it’s the show I have the urge to rewatch the most. I can’t stop thinking about it. It’s got every trope you can think of and it does them all to perfection. Plus it’s hilarious. Grade: A (Netflix)
4)*Alchemy of Souls (S1): Episodes 1-19 were the perfect blend of fantasy, adventure, mystery, comedy, and romance. With so many characters who are so lovable. Episode 20 will destroy you. Counting the seconds till season 2. Grade: A (Netflix)
5)Her Private Life: Super funny and charming. The romantic leads have incredible chemistry. The premise is so good! Might be the one of the most rewatchable kdramas. Grade: A (Netflix)
6)Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung: Great strong female lead. Very good messages. Couldn’t stop watching. The most adorable prince I’ve ever seen 💜Cha Eunwoo💜 Grade: A (Netflix)
7)Sh**ting Stars: Probable the biggest turnaround of any show I’ve seen (The “Africa” part was so problematic). However it turned out to be one of the funniest and swooniest KDramas out there. There are 5 couples and you will cheer for all of them. Grade: A- (Viki)
8)Strong Woman Do Bong Soon: The main couple is absolutely everything! Just fast forward through pretty much every side plot (they are not important) and you’ll love it. Grade: A- (Viki)
9)So I Married the Anti-Fan: It’s campy, fluffy, goodness, with a fierce female lead and a K-pop star enemy/love interest. Fastest binge of my life. Grade: A- (Viki)
10)Start-Up: Exceptional acting, compelling storylines, intriguing plot twists, great cinematography, intense love triangle. It’s just all around high quality. Grade: B+ (Netflix)
11)Run On: Cute, fun, silly and pretty light. I especially loved the supporting cast. Strange storyline but it was a fun easy ride. Grade: B+ (Netflix)
12)Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo: A bad-ass yet vulnerable female lead. The main couple just had a lot of fun together. Refreshing. Grade: B+ (Viki)
13)I Am Not A Robot: I was surprised I really liked this one. This goes in the zany premise category but it was surprisingly pretty grounded for how crazy the set up was. It’s funny, emotional, good story telling. Great character development. Grade: B+ (Viki)
14)Shopping King Louie: Adorable! Luis is too cute. I love it how he bops along like a penguin and his cute little screams at bugs. And Bok Sil is the warmest character, you just have to root for her. So many light fluffy feels for this show but it does drag a bit in the second half. Grade B (Viki)
15)Fight For My Way: Such lovable leads. Love the fierce female lead and adorable himbo male lead. It’s like a coming of age story but for 30 year olds. Storyline was ok. Second couple was skippable. Grade: B (Viki)
16)What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim: More PSJ is always a good thing. This drama did all the tropes in ways that didn’t always feel fresh, but it was very romantic and hilarious. A true classic. Grade: B (Viki)
17)Touch Your Heart: If you can just stick it out through the first few very shaky episodes, you will enjoy this adorable, fluffy, series. Grade: B- (Netflix)
18)Doom at Your Service: It was sometimes real sad yet ultimately a heart warming mystical story. Grade: B- (Viki)
19)True Beauty: Fun, cute, teen drama however, it’s a little too “antsy teen” for me. Cha Eunwoo though💜 Grade: C+ (Viki)
20)Suspicious Partner: Great story, great characters, attractive actors, beautiful romance, interesting plot, sometimes funny, sometimes suspenseful, but with 40 episodes, the plot was dragged so far out that it became hard to get through. Grade C+ (Viki)
21)Crash Landing On You: The first half is GREAT but the second half is way too melodramatic for my taste. It’s a very interesting storyline, the main couple has insane chemistry, and there are very lovable side characters. Grade: C+ (Netflix)
22)My Love From the Star: The main relationship is incredibly intense. I just wanted to find out what happened to them so I ended up fast forwarding through everything else. The age difference in the flashbacks creeped me out. Grade D+ (Viki)
23)My Secret Romance: The story of a total screw up female lead falling for a manipulative, gaslighting, hottie. It was problematic yet fun? So 🤷‍♀️ Grade: D+ (Netflix)
24)Our Beloved Summer: I LOVED V’s “Christmas Tree” OST however I struggled to keep watching. Boring storyline but great acting. Grade: D+ (Netflix)
25)Goblin: The age gap is too disturbing for me, like call the police disturbing. However, the Grim Reaper who is one of the most adorable characters I’ve ever seen. Grade: D- (Viki)
26)Extra-Ordinary You: I have never felt so betrayed by a second half of a series as I did in this one. All of the character development that it seemed to be leading to was replaced by a pretty sickening codependent relationship. Grade: D- (Viki).
Currently Watching: Today’s Webtoon (kinda blah), She Would Never Know (idk yet), Romance is a Bonus Book (loving it), 100 Days My Prince (so far so good).
Looking Forward To: Love In Contract, Alchemy season 2!
What are your thoughts on these shows? Do you agree or disagree with my rankings? Any k-romcom recommendations that are not on the list yet?

Korean dramas
Q1. Your favourite Kdrama ?
This is a bit hard to decide because there are so many different amazing  dramas out there. But since I have to decide, I’ll say Because This Is My First Life, Reply 1997 and most recently Crash Landing On You.
Q2. Your favourite Action/Crime Drama ?
Okay, I’m not a huge fan of crime themed dramas, but The Smile Has Left Your Eyes? A masterpiece.
Q3. Your favourite male lead character ?
Most definetly Park Dong-Hoon in My Mister, and special mention for Ri Jeong Hyeok in Crash Landing On You because I just finished the drama and I fell in looooove with Captain Ri. Oh and Gu Jun Pyo, a classic, but so funny and ultimately you can’t help but get attached to him.
Q4. Your favourite female lead character ?
I think Si Won from Reply 1997 is probably my favorite, and also any characters played by Son Ye Jin.
Q5. Your favourite second lead syndrome ?
Oh my gosh, my heart, Jung Hwan in Reply 1988. ;-; And weirdly enough (because I hated the drama he was in) Choi Young Do.
Q6. Your favourite idol actor?
I loved Park Hyung Sik in SWDBS. But this is the only drama of him that I saw, so I think my answer will be Seo In Guk... The only reason I’m hesitating is because I don’t know if he is considered an Idol. He is a singer, but idk. I love this man sooo much and so far he has never dissapointed me, in acting or in singing. A multi-talented man.
Q7. Your favourite idol actress ?
Eunji and IU.
Q8. Your favourite Song from a Kdrama OST ?
I think this is the most complicated question aaaahh! I’m such a big fan of OST For the sake of nostalgia, Boys Over Flowers and Secret Garden, definetly. But, honestly, historical dramas have the most amazing soundtrack imo. So much emotions and intensivity! As of recent dramas I really like the Reply series OST.
Q9. Your Top 5 OST singers?
4men/Shin Young Jae, Eunji, Junsu, Crush and Yoon Mirae.
Q10. Your favourite line from male/female lead character ?
“I live because I wake up in the morning. I don’t have a reason to live. If living like this is embarrassing then, I’m very embarrassed right now. But still... I want to live because I’m alive.’’ Oh Soo, That Winter The Wind Blows
Q11. Your favourite story ?
The Smile Has Left Your Eyes. I was intrigued from beginning to end!
Q12. Your favourite “I Love You” ?
"Sarangha-o” Ri Jeong Hyeok. I melted with this line, him talking in the Northen dialect is something elseee
Q13. Your favourite kiss ?
This scene from Because This Is My Fist Life.
Tumblr media
Q14. Your favourite ending ?
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon’s ending was perfect! I loved it, and Gu Family Book’s ending was also one of the best I’ve watched.
Q15. A KDrama you started but couldn’t finish ?
To be honest I’m picky when it comes to drama, so if I actually decide to watch a drama, I uSuAllY finish it. But I didn’t finish Shut Up! Flower Boy Band. I just couldn’t get over Byung Hee’s death (oops spoiler), and then there was his best friend developping feelings for the girl he liked... I saw where this was going and I could’t stand it. And to be honest I only started this drama for Lee Min Ki, so...
Q16. A KDrama you watched more than once ?
One? Rewatching dramas is something I do often lol. I watched To The Beautiful You a couple of times, Marry Me Mary too, Reply 1997 a lot! Dalja’s Spring, Discovery Of Love, etc.
Q17. The worst KDrama that you’ve watched until the end ?
The Heirs. I hated the two lead characters. Also the kissing scenes were a disaster. Also Monstar, even though the music was okay.
Q18. Best Couple ?
So hard to choose! There is so many cute couples to mention, Ahn Minhyuk & Do Bongsoon in SWDBS, Deok Sun & Taek in Reply 1988, Jeong Yeok & Se Ri in CLOY, so manyyyy
Q19. Have you been watching dramas for very long?
For about 7-8 years I think..? I’m not sure for how long exactly, but it’s been a while.
Q20. First KDrama ?
My first drama was To The Beautiful You, starring the beautiful Sulli (may she rest in peace) and SHINee’s Minho. I watched it because I was (still am) a shawol (SHINee’s fandom name for those who don’t know) and at that time I knew nothing about korean dramas. But one of the boys was starring in something, so of course I had to watch it. And the journey begannnn.
Q21. Your most recently finished drama ?
Crash Landing On You
Q22. A Drama That Is Popular That You Dislike  ?
The Heirs and My Love From The Stars
Q23. A Kdrama which made you so happy ?
She Was Pretty made me so happy because I had watched Park Seo Joon and Hwang Jung Eum play together in Kill Me Heal Me before, and I was so excited to see them as leads in the drama!
Q24. A Kdrama which made you so sad ?
That Winter The Wind Blows, a very beautiful drama but heart breaking. My Mister also made me cry so much.
Q25. What Kdramas are you watching at the moment?
Itaewon Class
Q26. Lastly, have you or do you plan to introduce your friends to them?
I have tried in the past to introduced my two high school best friends to korean dramas but it didn’t really work out ah ah but they both watched a drama or two.

Every Kdrama I’ve watched under the cut, to keep track and for recommendations.
Warning: Spoilers, few unpopular opinions ahead, please bear in mind: to each their own.
2009
·       You’re Beautiful – 16 amusing episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? This was the era of female leads pretending to be male (Hana Kimi, Ouran etc), but I still loved it. We follow the story of the female lead (who was a Nun at the beginning) who pretended to be her twin brother and become a part of the country’s current hottest band because her twin had a cosmetic surgery mishap (lol). It’s mostly trying to fit in and try not to get exposed but of course our male lead discovered her true identity thus begin her suffering and second also knows but did not admit it thus begin his unrequited love and comic relief and best character in the series was left in the dark thus begin questioning his sexuality 7/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? YES. Park Shin Hye is love and Jang Geun Seuk’s smile is freaking adorable. 9/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? JEREMY AND SHINWOO AND JOLIE YES. 10/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? MOST DEF. I fell in love with PSH’s “Lovely Day” and “ Without Words”, ANJELL’s “Still” and “Promise” though I prefer Lee Hong Ki’s version 8/10 o   Would you rewatch? I’ll definitely rewatch, I would love to compare my opinion back in my tween years and opinion now   o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: Episode 6 – Shin Woo and Mi Nam’s pseudo date (totally heartbreaking for tween me) Episode 11 – supermarket scene was the best, Episode 13 – Cooking scenes was hilarious, every scene with Jeremy, TAE KYUNG AND THE PIG o   Words Association: GO MI NAM, Pig-Rabbit, JOLIE!, Fly me to the moon, “hyung, vinegar?” o   Yes it has overused plots, common conflicts and family drama but the characters and their dynamics are truly worth watching this and if you need a good laugh (this drama has a looooot of funny scenes), this one is for you. 8/10
2011
·       Heartstrings – 15 forgotten episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? It’s a college drama involving modern and traditional Korean music. I honest to God forgot the whole drama, I think there was rivalry between the main leads? 6/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? Not sure, but if it’s Park Shin Hye, I guess so, sorry I’m shit at remembering this drama o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? I forgot so I guess not? o   Are the OSTs compelling? I am pretty sure it got an amazing Osts with having Park Shin Hye and CN Blue’s Yong Hwa but the only thing I remember was the song “Byeul” or Star and it was sung by the secondary character but it was really catchy o   Would you rewatch? Looks like I need to rewatch since I mostly forgot this drama o   Will rate once I have rewatched but if you shipped Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye’s characters in You’re Beautiful, this one is for you.
Then after years of Jdramas, Anime, Mangas, YA books I returned to Kdramaland in…
2018
·       Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo – 16 charming episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? College athletes’ coming of age drama, added a dash of love and friendship and dreams. Strong female lead and affectionate male lead, sign me the fuck up. 9/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? I AM EMOTIONALLY INVESTED WITH THE LEADS PERSONAL AND LOVE LIVES. YES. 10/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? YES EVEN THE CAMEOS (Hello Lee Jong Suk who I haven’t watched any of his drama yet at the time and Ji Soo) 10/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? I downloaded 2 of their OSTs (You&I and Dreaming), it was the first Korean songs in my playlist 9/10 o   Would you rewatch? Absolutely o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: “BOK JOO, WATCH OUT!”, “YOU DIE, I WILL KILL YOU”, Snow kisses, the gang in the amusement park, THAT SCENE WITH JISOO AND JOO HYUK o   Word Association: SWAG, Messi, Chicken, Samgyupsal, WHAT, Chubs o   I totally recommend to everyone, it has a unique plot, still not over the main lead’s chemistry, you’ll fall in love with the whole story. 10/10
 ·       The Heirs – 20 clichéd episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? It’s your typical rich man poor woman plot, high school setting oozing with alpha males and lots of trope scenes, if only female lead was also an heir or they develop more on her character it will be memorable, I can’t really differentiate with other dramas with the same plot – well except the male lead’s mother is not your typical mother who absolutely hates the female lead 3/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? No, not really more on the secondary characters, both male and female leads are meh 2/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? With the mute mother and FL’s bestfriend and his girlfriend yes, everyone else is forgettable 3/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? I only remember “Love is a moment” because it was used by fanmade crack videos on youtube ahahaha 2/10 o   Would you rewatch? Probably no. o   I guess if you are a big fan of Boys Over Flowers and looking for the same genre this one’s for you, this did not really age well for me, probably would have loved this if I watched back when I was in highschool – reminds me of wattpad days. 3/10
 ·       W: Two Worlds – 16 enthralling episodes (Started 2018 Finished 2020)
o   Is the plot interesting? The plot is what compelled me to watch this drama, male lead is a webtoon character created by the female lead but made famous by her father. Male lead does not have your best childhood experiences but became really successful as an adult but there are mysterious instances that put his life on danger, the female lead (doctor) was drawn in on the comic and saved his life, unknowingly her actions changed the course of the story and it reflected on the comic in the real world – this was truly a good concept 9/10 because I actually forgot I started this drama last 2018 then rewatched and finished this 2020, I am still confused. o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? THE CHEMISTRY WAS ON THE ROOF ON THIS ONE. I DIDN’T EVEN CARE ABOUT THE OTHER CHARACTERS 10/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? I was actually more focused on the main leads, did not exactly give much attention to other characters 3/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? I only liked “Where are you” but it was sung by that guy who was jailed among other things so I don’t know how I feel now. Still the opening was lit o   Would you rewatch? Yes, I will try to fully understand what the mechanics or rules of being a webtoon character and being alive in the real world o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: KISS IN THE JAIL was the first thing that came to my mind, also real life scenes to comic scenes and vice versa- kudos to the artists, slap and kiss scene, the flashing scene, 4 romantic concepts scene, the adorable scenes recreating the illustration book, the transition when yeon Joo dropped her ring, the hospital bed scene o   Words Association: #4, handcuffs, all the winks, sudden “saranghaeyo”, ring, bus stop, “to be continued” o   This drama was amazing for the first 10 episodes then became complicated after, I loved the chemistry between the 2 main leads but unfortunately overpowered the whole story – don’t get me wrong I love love stories, but my reaction was the same as those who read the comics – too much cutesy stuff they forgot the storyline, I wanted them to explore the W show, but they focused on filling the plothole for the murderer which created more conflicts and confusing scenes. The line between the comic and real word created plot devices and more questions. This drama has flaws but cool premise though, I hate amnesia plot on any drama but it was well incorporated on this one. 8/10
·       Goblin – 16 amazing Episodes (Finished, rewatched 2020)
o   Is the plot interesting? A general in Goryeo dynasty got punished by the Gods to be immortal and his sword still in his chest only the Goblin bride can take it off so he can be at peace and die. Immortal lead with a side of grim reaper as best friend, charming female lead with a confident female boss – a story with reincarnation and ghosts, scenes that will tug your heart – yes, one of Kdrama Masterpiece 10/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? At first no no with the age gap but yes, I say while crying o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? HELL TO THE YES, DEOK HWA, GRAMPS, SECRETARY KIM, HELLO CUTIE TAE HEE, SUNNY AND GRIM REAPER 10/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? HAUNTINGLY BEAUTIFUL OSTS, particularly “Round and Round”, “I Miss You”, “Stay with Me” and even without lyrics I still worship “When the time stops” aka the music that speaks to your soul 10/10 o   Would you rewatch? YES ALREADY DID BRUH WILL DO AGAIN o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: Every bromance scene, I got hooked by the scene in the first ep where Eun Tak celebrated her birthday with her ghost mother, epic goblin and grim reaper modelling in the highway, everytime sunny flips her hair, grim reaper and his guests in the tea shop o   Word Association: Canada, sad love, candles, rain, chicken, tea, car crash *sorry not sorry* o   Totally recommended, well-deserved on its popularity. Will make you laugh and cry, at the same time. Acting skillz man. 10/10
 ·       Strong Woman Do Bong Soon – 16 whacky episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? Female lead has super strength which was actually passed down to every woman born in her family, she wants to be a game developer but instead got hired as bodyguard of our male lead who is a ceo of a gaming company 8/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? I remember that I did, I was? I need to rewatch haha o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? I remembered I did not like Ji soo’s character and don’t really remember other characters… o   Are the OSTs compelling? Can’t quite remember so I need to - o   Would you rewatch? Yeahp, will do o   I’ll do a rewatch before rating
I had a watch list back in 2018, but then I became busy with work and life until…
2020 (Details will be more longer since every Kdrama is still fresh on my mind)
·       My ID is Gangnam Beauty – 16 pretty episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? Basically, female lead deems herself ugly and undergone a plastic surgery to fully change her face before attending the university – but a popular guy back in highschool (junior high?) was also attending the same uni and recognized her – it’s a mellow sort of drama tackling Korean beauty and it’s extent, still cute story tho 7/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? We must protect Mi-rae at all cost, Cha Eun Woo’s character is a little bit emotionally constipated but Eun Woo is *swoon* 8/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? I am all for Mi-rae’s family and childhood friend, Kyung Seok’s sister, Yoo eun was very notable as well, I love how her character is completely fair and understanding 7/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? “D-day” and “True” is a bop to listen to, everytime I hear “Something” all I remember is Cha Eun Woo’s slow mo glance, other OST is a bop but not enough for me to put on my playlist 6/10 o   Would you rewatch? Probably but not right now o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: New face dance, bathroom scene with Kyung Seok beating the shit out of their senior, whenever Kyung Seok is annoyed with Soo-A but total heart eyes mode with Mi Rae, Cinema pseudo date – eating popcorn using straws, when he changed the color of his hair, Kyung Seok’s ID when he was a waiter, their high school date, and that last sweet scene in the final episode o   Word Association: gangnam, perfume, plastic, umbrella, soju o   I wasn’t planning on watching kdramas again after a long time but this quarantine just makes you do things and no regrets at all, MIIGB probably isn’t the best of the best but it definitely made me want to watch more kdramas and lo and behold more kdramas watched in a span of 2 months than in a year back in 2018. I love how it tackles on true beauty and female oppression and how idiotic alpha male trope is 7/10
 ·       While You Were Sleeping – 16 not enough episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? A prosecutor, a reporter and a cop can see the future when they sleep, which helps them in solving cases and do their best to change it. Every case is fascinating makes you say “ohhhhh” when they present their defense and I am like *chef kiss* I love the premise and the supernatural part of the story. 10/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? YES. JAE CHAN AND HONG JOO ARE ADORKABLE AND HAS INSANE VISUALS  10/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? HAVE YOU MET JUNG HAE IN, THE PROSECUTOR TEAM WAS THE BEST. YES. EVEN THE SIDE CHARACTERS ON CASES AND THE VILLAINS 10/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? I usually don’t hear the OSTs while focusing on a scene but boy oh boy, OSTs stole everything, I am obsessed with the whole album. The melody and tune is very captivating everytime you hear it you just want to embed it on your brain. If you are still having second thoughts watching this drama, listen to it’s OSTs the feels they give is the same feels when you watch 1000/10 o   Would you rewatch? I’ve watched it again after finishing it so yes, 100% yes, need more episodes still having withdrawal syndrome, still watching fanmade videos on youtube o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: Every episode lol, the opening sequence, the outro scenes in episode 2 and 3 (with that background music), everytime “It’s you”, “You belong to my world”, “When night falls” and “I love you boy” is the bg music, every Jae Chan and Hong Joo parallel (Episode 2 and 16 particularly), OT3 scenes, the shadow picture, KISS IN THE RAIN, IN THE SAKURA TREE AND THE ALMOST KISS IN THE CAR if I list down all of my fave, I will be writing the whole summary of each episode. Hmmm. o   Words Association: Snow hug, sakura kiss, batman and robin, scarf, JUST ICE, choir, seatbelt, samgyupsal, femme fatale, lip balm o   I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. ULTIMATE FAVE. I AM BIASED SHUTTUP. JUST WATCH. NONE CAN COMPARE. NUFF SAID. 100000/10 SOMEONE FANGIRL WITH ME
 ·       Pinocchio – 20 important episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? This whole drama is about mass media and its major influence on anyone’s life and it is so powerful. We have a male lead whose family has experienced the impact of misguided news and it is painful to watch because this really happens irl at worse, this is due to a reporter which is our female lead’s mother. Now our female lead has Pinocchio Syndrome hence the drama title, she can’t help but hiccup when she lies, it’s very interesting to know why both leads wanted to be a reporter given their situation 10/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? YES, I JUST WANNA HUG THEM. Imagine having a condition that forces you to tell the truth, you can’t keep your feelings, privacy or secrets at all and to add an indifferent mother who did not care for your dreams but more on publicity. Imagine having a dream and working hard to reach it but after college you fail every job interview and it’s so realistic I just ashfdsjfha (Except the Pinocchio syndrome part but come on) Imagine experiencing a childhood where you don’t know what happened to your firefighter father, is the news about him running away true because it was his fault all those other firefighters are dead? Imagine your brother doing his best to hold your family together because your mother is on the verge of nervous breakdown to the point of pushing her to choose death, pulling you to a hug and just jump? Imagine this male lead fighting every chance to not love this girl who is the daughter of the reason why his family is gone now and could not leave her because she is also the reason why he decided to fight for the injustice done to his family and to others victims of fake news and they are so supportive of each other. It freaking hurts and I’m sorry I just have a lot of emotions for these two 1000000/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? YEEEEES, GRANDPA AND FATHER, I LOVE THEIR FAMILY DYNAMICS SO MUCH WHEN GRANDPA CRIED I CRIED! EVEN JA MYUNG HYUNG who has not enough episode in THEY DESERVE TO BE TOGETHER NOT JUST FOR ONE EPISODE. EVEN BEOM JU, YOO RAE, NITPICKER JANG, CAPTAIN, BOTH CAPTAINS ACTUALLY, CHAN SOO AND HIS FAMILY EVEN I LOVE TO HATE THE VILLAINS 100/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? I was too focused on the intensity of the story but I do love the bg music –“First Love”, “The Only Person”, “Pinocchio” are few notable OSTs 8/10 o   Would you rewatch? YES FREAKING YES, I REWATCHED AFTER WATCHING IT o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: Episode 16 as a whole, because main lead conflict with each other was resolved and that dinner scene is one I always rewatch, of course episode 1 introduction for Dal Po is freaking hilarious, Episode 2’s “Because I like you” damn feels, snow kiss, all the grandpa scenes and brother scenes, that scene when In ha remembered being drunk, that scene where Dal Po meets his brother again and I just ahjasgdjhsdgf, the intense debate and paralleling it in the seminar, the Christmas episode pyung pyung pyung my heart huhu o   Word Association: Six Degrees Separation, rumor, button, MSC/YGN News, traffic cones, hiccups, piggy banks, text messages, family o   EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH THIS. I LOVE EVERY PART. IT WAS ON MY WATCHLIST LAST 2018 WHY DID I NOT WATCHED IT THEN. THE ACTING THOUGH YOU JUST FEEL THEIR INTENSE EMOTIONS THROUGH THE SCREEN. FEELS EVERYWHERE. 100000/10
 ·       Romance Is A Bonus Book – 16 heartwarming episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? It’s about romance and books! Lee Jong Suk is on it what more can you ask for? Kidding aside it tells a story of a 30 something mother who to go back to work after 12 years which left a huge gap on her resume, she also got recently divorced and experiencing the repercussion of that, all of the job she applied for has focused on her work gap instead of her skills (which by the way as an HR a very hard truth). She applied as a support role on a publishing company and got hired but by omitting a lot of things on her resume. Oh and her childhood friend, our male lead is actually a co-owner and editor of the company. And he is also in love with her since high school. 9/10 but the fluffiness of the whole series is worth 10/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? YES, Dan-I is totally relatable and Eun Ho is lovable. I love their relationship so much they are each other’s home. 10/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? With Hae-rin (COME OOON UNREQUITED LOVE AGAIN WITH LJS CHARACTER?), Seo Joon, President Kim, Manager Seo, and our very own Gangnam Leopard YES. Others not so much. 8/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? The OSTs are feel good, the kind of playlist you want to hear when you read or travelling, point to “Rainbow”, “Walking on Sunshine”, “Happy End”also the heart churning feels when “You’re Beautiful” and “ A Story I couldn’t see” begins playing in the bg 10/10 o   Would you rewatch? YES over and over and over again o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: The first episode with the wedding visuals, so aesthetic with the running in the highway, the power dance was so out of place but it was adorable, the scene where Dan-I reminisce her married life and it just breaks your heart, the essay part of her application is just motivating and sad, WHEN EUN HO WAS DRUNK AND WENT TO DAN-I’s PLACE BECAUSE HE ALWAYS GO THERE WHEN HE MISSES HER AND I JUST AHGSHJAGDKJGHJ, “If that’s love, I love her then”, GANGNAM LEOPARD CLUB SCENE, the subtle Snow confession (what’s with LJS and Snow???) the long brown overcoats comes out I’m there, when Eun Ho rejected Hae Rin so nicely I cry, movie date, the day Dan-I and Eun Ho spent together at their house, all the book pages at the end of each episode o   Words Association: THE MOON IS BEAUTIFUL, noona, power pose, love letters, books, seasons change, cucumber allergy, April 23 o   This drama is literally a warm blanket on a rainy day. Recommended if you want a pure love story with almost no conflict and mellow storyline – just the thought of finding love and home in the same person is truly heartwarming. For aspiring writers and book lovers! Love the quotable quotes in it and the warm feels it gives 10/10
 ·       Extraordinary You – 16 extraordinary episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? We follow the story of the extras in a comic book. Get it? EXTRAordinary you, haha okaaaay, anyway, its fictional characters becoming aware that they are fictional characters and trying to change their fates, having a life of their own outside the “stage” and all around creating chaos – breaking the 4th wall if you will. We have your cliché high school filled with rich kids and an elite group called A3 (which was funny bc it was almost mocking F4), then we have the female lead who thought she was the main character of the story but was only the love bridge extra for the main characters. And our beautiful male lead who does not even have a name. Very attention-grabbing 10/10 also just found out the drama was based on a webtoon, so it’s a webtoon inside a webtoon nice. o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? Dan-Oh is a fun character to watch, her range of emotions and the way she acts in and out of the stage deserves a standing ovation, I don’t mind Ro Woon’s visual too haha 9/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? Yes to Lee Do Hwa (Because violin playing cutiepie), Joo Da (girl became aware and finally got claws at the end) and Dried Squid Fairy and Su Hyang (because their history is interesting) , not really into Bae Kyung or Nam Joo (who was 2dimensional character until the end) 8/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? I loved all the instrumental background music especially “Highschool Runway”, Also “My Beauty” which was very kdrama-esque ending song 7/10 o   Would you rewatch? BIG YES o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: Every Dan-Oh and Do Hwa’s internal monologue and their bromance, every time Dan Oh breaks character but the page flips, every time she curse and criticize the writer, checking the male population’s back, when Dan-oh opened the umbrella and we got to see Haru’s face *dokidoki*, every reaction when they transition from stage to shadow, I mean kudos to Kim Hye Yoon’s acting from crying to laughing then from head over heels over Bae Kyung then cringing at herself , “It’s Bae Kyung Time”, the scene where Haru and Dan-oh was holding hands and here comes third wheel Do Hwa the way they reacted with Dan Oh’s “Annyeong Lee Do Hwa” made me rofl o   Word Association: AYUUU JINJJA, HARUYAAAAA, stage, shadow, page flips, October 10, secret, flower o   I love the concept and how it felt like writing fanfiction, you put your favorite characters in alternative universes or different setting and watch them fall in love all over again – in this case destiny also plays a huge part since the writer continuously separate them but they still fall in love with each other outside the stage. It’s fun to see the other side or the fillers whenever characters are not on acting on stage, they have more character depth and development. I definitely love the Sageuk and College AU part. 9/10
 ·       Graceful Family – 16 wild episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? It’s a drama full of Makjang so we are riding on a rollercoaster ride, I am here for all of it gimme gimme that outrageous plot with a dash of crazy family on the side and a group of people who cleans up their messes 9/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? SEOK HEE IS THE BEST FEMALE LEAD YET FREAKING BADASS BITCH QUEEN. Yoon Do is okay but really overpowered by Seok Hee’s strong personality 10/10 for Seok Hee o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? I am very interested in Ms. Han and the Top Team’s deal unfortunately it was not addressed further in the series, wouldn/t mind a mini sequel with them as the main characters, Choi Na Ri and Seo Jin is loooove, and I love Wan Soo with all my heart even after everything that happened 9/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? “Liar” is on my playlist solely for me to feel as badass as Seok Hee and “Black Diamond” because it plays with your emotions 8/10 o   Would you rewatch? Solely for all the WTF moments o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: ALL THE DINING TABLE SCENES, opening scene in the first episode got me hooked, all Seok Hee scenes made me stay, Wan Soo’s hilarious scenes, that whole hanbok shop scene, whole jail fiasco, when Seok Hee fights head to head with TOP management, PICASSO’S FUNERAL SCENE, Episode 9 when Choi Na Ri moved in, episode 15’s biggest plot twist, Episode 16 and it’s whole 1 hour and 45 minutes of drama o   Word Association: Home sweet home, Cannes, Picasso, power vacuum, kingmaker, Auntie o   It has a lot of flaws, plotholes and characters you wished was fleshed out but man what an exhilarating ride it was. I love all the dirty secrets in the closets and plot twists (won’t spoil just watch it!) but Seok Hee is definitely the show stealer for me. Soo Hyang’s character here is starkly different with her character in My ID is Gangnam Beauty and it’s really amazing. 9/10
 ·       Hi, Bye Mama – 16 heartbreaking episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? This is all about mother’s love and the life she left behind. Our female lead died in an accident and has been a ghost for five years watching over her family especially her daughter, she watched how her family moved on – her husband remarried and her daughter grew up with a different mother. The Gods has given her a chance to live again if she gets back her place within 49 days – this means she get the chance to become human again and finally meet her daughter. 9/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? I AM EMOTIONALLY INVESTED IN ALL OF THEM. 10/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? SEO WOO YAAAAAA, Min Jung, her whole family and best friends even the other ghosts and their painful stories YES. 10/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? I was busy crying and could not really hear the bg music because all I hear is my heart breaking a million times. But “Happy” made me happy and sad at the same time and the haunting “Same Town, New Story” instrumental is love o   Would you rewatch? I am not sure if I’m ready to cry again o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: whole episode 8 is where I broke down crying – I know this whole series is about mother’s and their unconditional love but episode 8 showed fathers and their incomparable love to their daughters and I just asjhdajksd the epilogue in this episode just made me cry nonstop – I am actually crying just remembering that scene, every epilogue will make you ugly cry, every time Seo Woo smiles, Episode 11 and that epic showdown in Kid’s café, when Yu Ri became human again and how happy she was she can hold Seo Woo, every scene with her and Seo Woo bonding, Gang Hwa and the egg,  the list of things she wants to do, when Seo Woo finally called her MAMA o   Words Association: mother, stepmom, ghosts,  “I am happy”, shaman, egg, 49 days o   I am emotionally exhausted watching this show, I cried on every episode, this definitely hurt me in every way possible. Highly recommended if you want a good long nonstop cry 10/10
Dramas I did not completely watched sans a few episodes, finished by skipping scenes or reading drama reviews. Warning: total unpopular opinions
2009
·       Boys Over Flowers – we all know Hana Yori Dango is superior, I just got bored of recycled scenes and I really don’t like LMH here, sorry
2018
·       Scarlet Heart Ryeo - Plot is very interesting but Sageuk dramas are not my cup of tea, reminds me of Fushigi Yuugi which I hated when I was a kid dunno why haha, will look for my motivation to watch the whole drama ·       Oh My Ghostess – got spoiled, skipped and just read episode summary
2020
·       Hello Monster – did not even finish 1st episode, skipped through episode 2 -3, too many plot holes, just read last episode spoilers ·       Hotel De Luna – finished 7 episodes got distracted by work and life. Plotline is interesting and characters look promising, will rewatch but I already know the spoilers and ending ·       School 2013 – just read the dramabeans episode reviews, may watch but reminds me of Gokusen concept (which I do love but very repetitive) so may not ·       Suspicious Partner – I liked the plot but unfortunately did not care too much on the main mystery of the whole show which was who the actual murderer is, did not like the shared childhood trauma, but acting still was good, its just the storyline ·       Doctor Stranger – I seriously would have loved to finish this because LJS’s acting skills on point (how can he be that seriously angry in North Korea then be clumsy adorkable in South? Howww) but alas, the female lead storyline is cringy I stopped at episode 6, read reviews and it would have been 20 wasted episodes for me ·       What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim – full of stereotypical tropes I could not finish, too romcom for me and could not invest too much about their history
Watchlist (2020)
·       Hospital Playlist ·       Crash Landing On You ·       Kill Me, Heal Me ·       I Am Not A Robot ·       Sky Castle ·      Love Alarm
Hit me up with your recommendations, better yet your favorite kdrama and reasons why it’s your fave!

Could I get a small drabble for Hyungsik. I was rewatching Strong Woman and he's just too adorable in there especially the scenes Bong Soon imagined him with Jisoo.
Lmfao... it’s an iconic drama, that’s for sure!
Pairing: Park Hyungsik x reader
Word count: 248
This drabble is based in a previous world I created for Hyungsik which you can read HERE
______________________
“Can you just...” Twirling your finger around as you tried not to giggle, Hyungsik looked up at you from his outfit and then whined.
“Seriously?”
“What? It’s not that hard to do.”
“Y/N, I haven’t been an idol in years.”
“Sooo?”
“So I don’t want to embarrass myself by performing a song I haven’t sung in years,” he announced through gritted teeth.
Nodding, you got up from your seat on the couch and approached your husband. “You sing all the time. In the shower, in the car, in the kitchen, in bed when you-”
“Okay!” he cut in hastily, laughing awkwardly and dismissed you back to your seat on the couch. You cheered over-enthusiastically and Hyungsik cringed, hitting the play button on his phone before launching into one of his old idol songs.
You couldn’t even make it to the second verse before you were laughing too much. “Hey, stop laughing!”
“I can’t... your face... oh my god, my sides hurt!”
“This is why I didn’t want to do it in the first place!” Hyungsik complained, slumping down onto the ground in a fit. “I knew you would... wait, are you filming me?!”
“Remember that time where you made me dress up for your birthday and be sickeningly cute?” you pointed out and Hyungsik laughed quickly, waving you off. You folded your arms across your chest, satisfied. “Finally, I get sweet revenge. Now up you hop! There’s at least three other songs I want to see you perform!”

queer eye
i’m not the biggest movie/book fan anymore, especially movies. i much prefer to watch a tv show and get to know characters through a long period of time than have a 2 hour movie and then it’s done.
but, books i love:
the night circus - favorite book of all time, i need to reread it.
harry potter
shadow and bone - i started this and then never picked up the second book but i really want to!
the hunger games series
i have read more but i don’t love them now as an adult like i did when i was a teenager.

harry potter HOWEVER. i feel like i get mad watching them now because it misses so many details and moments between characters that it just pisses me off. also? what HAPPENED in that writing room to make ginny like that? appalling. no offense to bonnie but my girl deserved much better
you know... i’m a k- 🤢 kpop 🤢 fan so i watch a lot of k-shows
my faves are:
NEW JOURNEY TO THE WEST - I LOVE THIS SHOOW SO MUCH EVERYONE PLEASE WATCH IT’S SO FUNNY!!!! i get on another level with this show. it feeds my soul. my crops thrive, my skin glows. it’s amazing. go watch it i am begging. thank me later!
heart signal - oh my god if you like those trashy romance shows this is for you. filmed super high quality, most likely very scripted but i eat it up! season 3 just started and i’m living!
love catcher - similar to heart signal but you choose to be in the game for either money or love. the contestants need to figure out if the person they like is either money or love because in the end, if a money pairs up with a love, the money person gets 50,000$.
handsome tigers - i believe this just recently ended. i loved it so much! i didn’t expect to like watching basketball but it was so much fun.
knowing bros - i don’t watch this often at all anymore but, if there’s a guest i enjoy, i’ll usually watch it.
youn’s kitchen 2 - if you like more a chill out, long episodes type of show, this is amazing for that. it’s so relaxing, so fun to watch. it’s about an old korean actress that opens a restaurant in spain with other 3 actors. they serve korean food. it’s very wholesome. i just rewatched it recently, i absolutely love it. the first season i can’t seem to find subbed so :(
kang’s kitchen - it’s made by the same producer that does youn’s kitchen and it brings the cast of new journey to the west to open a pop-up restaurant. opposite of relaxing but it’s so funny. if you need a laugh give this a go cause it’s hillarious! there’s 3 seasons now of this cast, so the order i’d recommend is njttw 1, 2, 3, 4, kangs kitchen 1, njttw 5, 6, 7, kang’s kitchen 2/3
favorite k-dramas:
strong woman do bong soon
w: two worlds
reply 1988 (obviously)
goblin
age of youth 1 & 2 - please watch this oh my god. it’s about a group of girls and their lives and it talks about so many “taboo-ish” subjects in korea that you really don’t see in other dramas. so well done.
hotel del luna
i have watched many many more but these are the ones at the top of my head. the ones that i actually rewatch and still love.

Hiya Monica! 43 and 54 for the KDrama asks!
Hi AMIANNA :D I’M SO GLAD YOU ASKED THESE QUESTIONS
43. One K-drama you could rewatch over and over?
Well, I already HAVE rewatched Are You Human Too? three times. And yesterday was listening to the soundtrack and realized it is about time to watch it again lol. It is just so GOOD
Plot: Scientist mom loses her son to his evil grandpa and in the depths of her despair she builds herself a robot son. Robot son is the best, kindest, sweetest creature in the world and all he wants to do is hug people who are sad. But GUESS WHAT. Human son grows up in his evil grandpa’s house and he is not exactly ok with his life, but hey at least he has a loyal secretary who tries to keep him out of trouble. Loyal secretary is the bestest most loyal man whose hashtags are #stressed #depressed #well-dressed. Seriously, his nickname to me is Blue, because he wears the most striking blue suit once. It’s great. Oh yeah, also, the more experiences the robot son has, the more he acts like a human. And some of the actual humans he meets are terrible people. So. What DOES it mean to be human? YOU MUST WATCH TO FIND OUT
54. Recommend 3 fluffy AF dramas
Aha. Aha. I have no straight fluff for you. Even the fluffiest kdrama has some angst. Which is just how I like it. However, there are some that are more fluffy overall than others.
--Her Private Life is a fun romance, with my favorite actor Kim Jae Wook (in a very different role than he acts in The Guest, which is an extremely not fluffy kdrama but which is one of my all-time favorites and which I highly highly recommend for the sake of the three main characters, like even if you have to skip through the scary stuff it will be worth it for the scruffy psychic taxi driver, the detective who never gives up and who WILL kick a demon in the face, and the sad, somber, secretly soft priest who is my all-time favorite priest in any media ever)(also these three faves are so SO SOFT AND SWEET WITH KIDS I DIED EVERY TIME THERE WAS AN INTERACTION)(SORRY I STARTED RECOMMENDING THIS SHOW I SHOULD HAVE PUT IT AS ONE OF THE OTHER KDRAMAS I COULD WATCH OVER AND OVER AGAIN)
oh dear oops I need to actually tell you about HPL. RYAN THE LION GOLD is an ex-artist and the new director of an art museum, and Sung Deok Mi is the best art curator at said museum. Ryan has some sadness in his backstory and Deok Mi has a secret: she is a top fan of a kpop idol, whom she takes pictures of. ThIS ROMANCE IS SO FLUFFY I WANT TO DIE, AND THE BITS OF ANGST ONLY MAKE THE FLUFF ALL THE SWEETER
--Strong Woman Do Bong Soon is pretty fluffy. Do Bong Soon, a tiny young woman with super powered strength, becomes the bodyguard of the extremely rich, extremely extra and hot CEO of a gaming company. Their romance is very cute. I don’t like all the side characters and frankly there is a gangster side plot that could have been cut at no loss, but I would do anything for Ahn Min Hyuk, the CEO (played by Park Hyung Sik, whose only benefit to being in the military right now and having a military haircut is that it is very easy to see his adorably cute lil ear)
--It’s after midnight and I am blanking, but I guess you could say Are You Human Too? has a lot of fluff. It has so much fluff. but also pain. but then more fluff......and then pain.
Oh ok, this is a cdrama rather than a kdrama, but Accidentally in Love. It is cute, and cheesier than brie, and sometimes I shake my head at the characters or the storyline, because it is slightly unbelievable or needs further development, but even through all this, the show was just light-hearted and made me laugh.  Basically, it’s about an heiress who disguises herself at university to escape marriage, and the famous singer who also goes to school there. The romance is cute if not ground-breaking, and I enjoyed the other characters, especially the singer’s pure-hearted, self-sacrificing best bro, the bad boy who has a beef with the singer, the bad girl who needs to get a grip, and a few others. It made me happy when I was sad, and so I love it
