#Kirby#Kirby fanart#my art#comic#Meta Knight#Dark Meta Knight#Sailor Dee#Taranza#sorry it took me so long to finish this page but it’s finally done#I hope that the title of the comic makes sense to everyone now#I called it Knightfall in Dream Land because the knight fell into Dream Land lmao#the parts of the comic set in the present are occurring around the time of Return to Dream Land#so the gang hasn’t met Taranza yet and isn’t aware of Floralia’s existence#but since Meta has a long fall to the surface I’d imagine he’d probably crash through Floralia on the way down and pass by the mirror#I tend not to give specific ages/age numbers to Kirby characters in my fanart/fan AU#the first reason for this is that different characters probably age at different rates since they’re different species#and the second reason for this is that I don’t see years between game releases equating to years passing for the characters#I mean just look at Adeleine she’s still a kid in Star Allies even though that was released almost two decades after Crystal Shards lmao#instead of giving characters specific ages I headcanon them as being in certain age ranges#so in the present Kirby Bandee and Sailor are all kids (and Bandee and Sailor are a bit older than Kirby)#I also see characters like Gooey Adeleine and Ribbon as being kids too#while characters like Taranza Susie Magolor Marx and the Mage Sisters are young adults#and characters like Meta Knight Dedede Daroach Captain Vul and Hyness are older adults#but in the parts of the comic set in the past Meta Knight and Dedede are young adults and Taranza is a kid#and Kirby and the Dees are babies#the older spiders shown here with Taranza and Sectonia are OCs of mine who are their mothers#their names are Lady Theraphoza (Taranza’s mom) and Queen Rachnia (Sectonia’s mom)#I’m giving Taranza some backstory since HAL refuses to tell us anything about him except he’s sad about Sectonia lmao#this post has too many tags but maybe I’ll make a separate post with my Spider Lore#Knightfall in Dream Land

Realised it’s @khoc-week so even though I don’t have the energy to do it daily have this I did a while ago but never posted.
Arxeht my beloved. They came to me in a dream where I was a replica (of multiple people but looked most like Vidar) made by apprentice Nort/Xemnas, who was the fifteenth member of the organisation and also had my knowledge of hit video games Kingdom Hearts and kept getting randomly thrown through space and time.
#khocweek2024#kh oc#kh ocs#kingdom hearts oc#kingdom hearts original character#Arxeht#blue boi draws#kingdom hearts#kh#Arxeht my beloved I love them#Apprentice Nort started making them to help figure out memories and based them on people he’d get glimpses of in dreams#but he got distracted and only came back and finished them/woke them up around the beginning of Days after Xion#meaning they are theoretically younger then Xion and Roxas but with the way they act and view the others they’re older#they woke up sorta all at once unlike Roxas and Xion. they also have basic knowledge about General Like that the kiddos lack#also their knowledge of how the game plays out is from the perspective of someone who played the games.#like they’d know the ‘press triangle for Sora’ meme and the differences between CoM and ReCoM and refer to time periods by their game name#also VERY AWARE that most kh games are tragedies and desperately trying to change that despite not really having the power to do so#Arxeht is shit at fighting but is saved from getting injured by any time they’re about to get hit it triggers a jump through time/space#and the jumps can be really far and in fast succession. they start a jump in twilight town and are thrown through Daybreak Town#and like two other worlds until they settle and fef a chance to breathe. its handy because they wont die but jumps can happen#in the middle of a conversation or while they’re trying to get somewhere in particular and then suddenly they’re ten years in the past#in a whole different world. it sucks.#can you tell the dream they came from was a stress dream? 90% of what I remember from it was running around trying to get to Xion and Roxas#and keep them safe. the other 10% was the org not knowing what to think of Arx and Xemnas being weird#Arxeht is heart + x in a reflection of Xehanort being no heart + x btw. that did not come from the dream I made it awake#Xemnas was weird he had a very distant vaguely amused view on everything Arxeht was doing I don’t think he ever thought of them as a threat#unlike Xigbar who was concerned which is fair because Arxeht knew he was Luxu and about MoM and stuff#the time jumps can get really long as well but tend to avoid kh era?? days onwards and bbs and before is fair game but they dont actually#meet Sora until kh2.#their main power is information. they know who people are and what’s going on and they are constantly trying to tell people during the

I started fanart today but my thumb kinda hurts so I can't finish it so take OC art I never posted as my 'art of the day'.
Melo (mute) and Lody (can talk) are the twin advisors to the demon lord Sascha. They're probably his two most trusted demons and they adore him and respect him. While everyone in the demon army calls him "boss", Lody addresses him as "my lord" or "our lord" if with Melo.
Their pink/yellow eyes are actually a link of sorts. Whatever Melo sees, Lody can see. Whatever Lody sees, Melo can see. So they often travel apart from each other to have a wider range of what's going on in order to help Sascha determine the wisest course of action.

Many things are touching about the end of TLG, but one that always makes me heart smile and break at the same time is Butler calling Artemis “Arty” when the boy gets resurrected.
Butler’s never done that before! It was always Professional Town between them, as best they could given their insane codependency. But then Artemis full on dies. Not just disappears, he dies. There’s a corpse. And Butler refuses to believe that, but he still is faced with the implications of it. He can’t guard Artemis, or plan for his return. He’s essentially jobless for the first time in nearly two decades and battling grief and his own failure and trying to manage things in the new world after it all goes to hell. And then Artemis comes back! And Butler, for the first time after all the adventures, after all the years of being a father-figure and friend to this boy - hell, after years of being called “old friend” by this boy - acts as a friend to Artemis. He calls him Arty, a pet name, a name of familiarity, a name for only the closest of friends and family to use.
It makes my brain buzz like happy bees are having a fun little dance party.

#like its a natural consequence its not a surprise#i just realized i will undoubtedly still be posting.#my gf and i spent like two hours yesterday catching water beetles to put in my bio jar#(which i sealed july of 2022 and havent added anything to since still full of plants and little shrimpies)#but i was like aw. i want to make my kids do this. and was planning in my head summer projects to have kids do bc summer learning is#important but i Hated the workbooks my mom made me do as a kid#so having them design scientific observation projects is a good solution i think. working brain and hands#ANYWAY i was like i should post about this on tumblr.#and then was like wow will the girlies relate to me preemptively planning activities for hypothetical children. i dont know LOL#anyway does anyone want to see videos of my beetles. im naming them all after glee characters#the shrimp are vocal adrenaline

also on that end though - it does always surprise me when white people completely and utterly miss mixed race coding in like books and other fiction. which i guess i shouldnt be surprised because of how bad they are with any racial coding at all really like (gestures vaguely at the hunger games rue situation for the past 15 years) but like straight up they dont see it? they don't even see...
#the rue situation was nuts and horrifically racist but also so so bizarre like okay. i read the hunger games by having my 6th grade teacher#read it to our whole class a chapter a day and even in all her mispronunciations of every character name (she said cinna like CHEE-nah)#(went italian with it i guess.... also effie as EE-fee - etc) and the fact that i was 11 i remember CLEARLY that she was discribed as#having dark skin and dark curly hair and put two and two together that she was black. like. hello. can anyone here me. its so dark in here.#but in a much less horribly antiblack and racist situation ONE TIME my (white) mom tried reading a book i really really loved in 8th grade#a victorian ish period young adult novel about a spy girl and like the main character spy also was half white and half chinese iirc#and in like the beginning theres a bit where shes getting questions about her features and for safety reasons she plays it off that she#got it from her irish mother i think. and i read that when i was 12 and saw how she was written to be nervous saying that#and put two and two together and was like oh shes mixed race cool. and then later in the book it was plot relevant and then spelled out#but when my mom read the beginning i mentioned offhandedly that oh i loved that book as a kid cause it was fun and i thought it was cool#to see a mixed race main character in a fun basic spy thriller story like this and my mom was so confused like but shes irish?#and i was like. oh. um. maybe. and waited until she finished the whole book where it was fully spelled out for her to get it LOL#like it wasnt bad or anything it was just a surprise. my mom did understand it when it was spelled out later and thought it was neat#i mean she does have mixed race children after all (meeeeee LOL) but i was like so confused. i like. forgot. that white people dont#think about this stuff that often or at all by default so they just dont see it when its in front of them.#<- mixed race guy who rediscovers the concept of the white default brand new every day
