#vent#cw for animal death if you read through this#just feel like i have to ramble about this. somewhere. but everyone's asleep rn and i don't wanna randomly pop into someones messages#so to yell at the void in the tags i go#but one of my dogs died today. or yesterday technically. idk it's 4am rn and my sleep schedule's fucked#but yeah. apparently he passed away in his sleep. teddy bear's gone.#which like. shouldn't be that surprising since he was like 13 years old#and he was a maltese and yorkie mix and both of them live to be about 13. he was a little old man#but none of us really expected to lose him before we lost susie who's a little over a year older than him and his mom#and also has been having some health issues. nothing major or serious but enough to be kinda concerning with how old she is#but teddy was perfectly fine. didn't have any issues at all#but i was helping my brother get ready for school and was about to go and watch for the bus#and we were passing by the couch that he loved to sleep on and it just looked like he was asleep on a pillow#and my brother went to pet him and immediately noticed that he was cold#and yeah. a while after that my dad put him in a box and now he's buried in front of the well we have in our backyard#and it's just been kinda hitting me in waves all day#like i'll be fine and then i'll realize he's gone and then i'm fine and then i'll remember what he looked like on the couch#before we realized#and i'm kinda surprised it's affecting me this badly? like. idk. when i lost my cat orange a couple of years ago#who i had since i was like 2 i didn't react like this at all#like of course i was still sad and i miss her but. idk.#maybe it's because there wasn't any build up? like with orange we knew something was wrong#and had a couple of weeks knowing something was wrong and she might not live before she died#and also i didn't see it. my parents were there when she was put down by the vet but i didn't go#but with teddy. i saw the body. thought he was just asleep until my brother tried to pet him#so i guess maybe those combined is why? idk#grief just never. hit me this much this quickly before#also sucks to know we're probably going to be losing susie soon too#we're planning on getting another dog so louisa won't be alone when it happens#she's been with teddy and susie her whole life. we don't want her to be lonely without them so we want to get her a friend

“Jesus, just pick it up.”
Oliver squinted his tired eyes at his phone screen. His body was twisted around, his neck arching to try to read the contact name that was flashing across his screen. This was the fourth time they had tried calling him. I was snug against his side, occupying the rest of his strength. I went to move away a bit, just to allow him some room to answer the phone without being contorted like a pretzel.
He felt me tug back from his hold and immediately set the phone back onto his bedside table. The screen was faced up. It was probably just me, me and my stupid naivety- but I was touched that he set it that way. My stupid belief that I meant just as much to him as he did to me made it so. Trust, love. Two feelings I had when I was with him that were now more familiar than the anger and fear I used to be consumed by.
Oliver latched his other hand, now free, around my back. His fingers splayed out around my hip, nose nuzzling into the bare crevice of my neck. I sunk into his body, an anchor sinking into cold, salty sea water.
“Eh, fuck ‘em. They’re just taking time away from me and my flower.”
I snorted at the pet name, though I secretly (not so-secretly) loved. “You’re so cringey sometimes.”
“Cringey?” He reeled his chin back, glaring down at me with those icy hazel eyes. “Girl…”
“Girl!” My mouth widened as the word so easily fell through his lips. I fought against giggles that were winning. “Who are you? Where’s Oliver?”
His laughter was deep, steady, chest rocking beneath my head, “Shh, don’t tell anyone. I’m his twin brother, Isaac. Oliver is on a top secret mission. He said you’ll always be in his heart, but he must go, fulfill his duty as a spy.”
“What the fuck,” I stated, nuzzling my head in bare chest in hopes the escape his jokes. I let out a small sigh as I fed into his humor, “You don’t have to lie to me, Isaac. I know he’s off with his secret girlfriend. Just, if you can speak to him, let him know that I won’t cry over him. I won’t miss him. Besides, his twin brother’s kinda…hot.”
“Secret girlfriend? What are you even talking about?”
Maybe I wouldn’t have noticed it if I wasn’t trained to read body language. Maybe it would’ve gone over my head if I didn’t know him, the very shell of him, so well. I could have looked past it, could’ve turned it over in my head, blurred the lines, pretended like I didn’t know the way his eyes flickered, disruption taking over his hazel pupils, as he glanced, so minutely, to his cell phone.
And, maybe it was me. Maybe I was really that insecure. Maybe I was stupid. Maybe I’d never really learn to trust him, based on the entirety of our situation.
I think Oliver noticed the flicker that tilted at the corners of my lips because his face fell, just a bit. And he rushed to cover it up, “There is no secret girlfriend, darling. I promise you that.”
And he did what he was so subconsciously genius at- he manipulated the situation, moved on from it, by wrapping me up, pressing the tip of his nose to mine, and saying, “You are my one and only, Daisy. The only one I want. Need.”
I was stupid, like I always was, and kissed him.
We continued on that morning, laying around like we always did, in the early hours of the dawn, long before anyone would wake up. They had a show later, but Oliver didn’t care about getting rest. He wanted- needed, he claimed- to be with me. I guess his idea of resting involved fucking me and kissing me and feeding me with his ownership.
He always asked the strangest questions, always reminiscent of that first night on the roof. He asked like he was trying to memorize the nocks on my bones, prophesied my future in a romantically dramatic way. It was usually when we were laying around like this, silence comfortable in our breaths.
Today’s was formed as more of a statement, curious intonation, “Tell me more about your mom.”
It took me by surprise, like he almost always did. It forced me to slow my own thoughts for a moment, articulate my memories, and find delicate words. Mostly, I wondered, “Why do you wanna know that?’’
Oliver was forced to think now, but he didn’t have much of a response, “I don’t know. I was just…wondering, I guess. I mean, you’ve told me your dad’s an ass, but you had to have gotten your beauty somewhere.”
I knew he used that compliment in a much more meaningful way than the surface level allowed it to be understood. So, I blushed, tilted my head, “Well, I could talk for hours about her. Don’t want your ears to bleed.”
“Nonsense, my love. Your voice is music to my ears.”
I nuzzled my nose to his cheek. Then, I mustered up the courage to fight my sadness and began with, “She was…literally everything to me and Sam. She…dad left when I was 5. Sam, 12. Mom was, like…30? I think? So young. She opened up her own flower shop not long before he left. But, it wasn’t nearly enough money for us to live off of. So, we, like, moved into the tiny ass apartment that was above the shop. It smelled like Chinese food because of the restaurant. And, sometimes, that mixed with the flowers. And my allergies are terrible! And, not to mention, mom smoked. So…it was rough. Sam and I shared a room, so we were together more than we should have been. We were…we were so mean to mom. We, like…took out dad’s absence on her, the fact that we had to live in this shitty apartment. Meanwhile, she was just…this ball of light. She’d stay up till 3am, in the shop, blasting Taylor Swift, arranging flowers, writing this silly little poem book she hid beneath her mattress and thought I never found and read. She picked up shifts at the Chinese restaurant literally every day. She never took a day off, not even on holidays. God, she must have been fucking miserable. But…no matter what…she was, just, like…kind. I think…no, nevermind.”
I sniffled and cut my own words off, teary eyes shutting. I didn’t want to be all sappy and emotional in front of Oliver, especially not at this time of day. As I tried to steady my breathing, Oliver’s arms tightened around me.
“Hey,” he swept a hand to my cheek, drawing my eyes to his, “Daisy…keep going. Please.”
“I think Sam really misses her. He…he’d help her out, with chores, making dinner, getting the trash cleaned up when she’d be overwhelmed and forget about it all. And at the time he resented her. But, he was a teenager. He didn’t know any better. But he beats himself up over it. I just…wish he’d be kinder to himself.”
“And what about you?” Oliver whispered once I had let a pregnant pause of silence go.
I looked up at him, struck by the question, like always, “What…about me.” My eyes drifted as my mind wandered, “I…I’d sneak downstairs, far too often, watch her from the doorway while she danced, sang, drank cheap wine, tossed flower petals all around. She’d always catch me. I was a noisy kid. But, she’d never punish me. She’d grab my little hand, drag me into the room with her, play all our favorite Taylor songs.”
Oliver cracked a joke which burst a ray of sunshine through the sadness layering itself overtop the room, “God, now I feel terrible for making fun of you.”
I punched him in the stomach, closed fist splaying out into a gentle palm on his belly. “You should. She meant a lot to me and my mom. I…she’s why Sam got into music. She had this- this beautiful voice. She’d write songs, along with her poems, and record them on this tape player.”
“Where is it now? Back at your apartment?”
“No,” I shook my head, “at hers. We never really cleaned it out. Sam still pays the lease.”
“And the flower shop?”
“A stupid fucking smoothie bar. I was really hoping one of us would take it over, run it, keep her alive. But…it’s just not feasible. Too expensive.” I’d always felt guilty for that- not investing in mom’s memory. I felt like I’d buried her back in my hometown and sealed shut whatever conscious thoughts I had of her in her grave with her rotting body.
It was just too much. She gave us everything and the world failed her, killed her. Every ounce of light that had been in her eyes was completely spoiled by the time the cancer had taken over.
The thought made me shutter. Oliver noticed and brushed a soothing hand through my hairline. “We don’t have to talk about it anymore.”
“No, no,” I tapped his stomach, “we should. I never really…never really mention her to anyone. This is nice.”
Oliver kissed my temple sweetly, “I agree. So, tell me about these late night dance parties you’d have.”
And, so, we spent the next few hours talking about my mom. Her smile, the inky flowers she had wrapped around her elbow, the way she’d let me stand on her toes while we waltzed across the shop.
We talked and talked. I cried and Oliver wiped my tears. He told me he’d give Taylor Swift another try.
And I found myself falling further.
Then, it was suddenly nearing 8am, when I knew for sure my brother’s alarm would be going off. So, we finished quickly with whatever we’d been doing. Then, Oliver helped me get dressed, which took much longer than it should’ve with two people pulling one person’s shirt over her head. It was because he stuck my head through, then dipped his head to my stomach, tracing my abdomen with wet kisses.
I giggled and shrunk away from the ticklish feeling. He laughed and chased me with his strong hands, encasing my hips with his splayed fingers. I tried pushing his touch away, writhing like a worm, but he was able to plant more kisses onto my skin.
Then his phone started ringing again.
Our movements paused. I slowly pulled the shirt the rest of the way down, meeting his eyes as my vision was cleared from that blockage. His hands moved, passively, to his sides. His body language, that distant, distracted look in my eyes burned.
“Oliver,” I accidentally whispered, then, “just answer it.”
He knew. He knew it was a challenge, a probe at the situation. He knew I was testing him. And, if he failed, if he refused to pick up the phone and answer the call, I’d run out.
I think that- losing me, watching me walk away- was just something he could not deal with right now. So, he made up some excuse while slinking over to the phone, “Probably just someone from the label. Or a stupid spam caller. No big deal.”
I was still facing away from him, still small, shrunken in on myself, when I said, to no one but the air, “Please.”
He didn’t hear me. “Hello?”
I turned around to face him, watching the muscles on his face carefully, paying attention to how he reacted to whoever was on the line. After a moment, he pressed the speaker button, and held the screen towards my vision.
“Spam,” Oliver scrunched his nose as he hung up.
Intuition, maybe jealousy, nibbled at my skin like some flesh-eating piranha. I gave one shake of my head, easily falling back into the casual, comfortable air that was routine between us. I smiled, a joke on my lips to push us past the awkwardness, “So, what kind of top secret mission is Oliver on? Drugs? Or…war?”
“Oh, all of the above!” He dramatically replied.
“Well, you tell Oliver that I need to be getting back to my own bed,” I tapped his chest, awaiting him to let his arms loose.
But, he squeezed tighter, even wrapping his occupied hand around me, “No! Please! Stay!”
“Won’t you ever get tired of me taking up space in your bed?” I giggled at his hair, tickling my neck.
He hummed a rejection, “Never. This is, like, our own secret sanctuary. Here, in this room, we can be whoever we want.”
I focused on his eyes, touching my nose to his. Then, he kissed me before mindlessly reaching behind himself to set his phone back up.
Face down.
I felt like throwing up.
The feeling was worse when I was alone, leaving his apartment like I had just signed an NDA. I tried my hardest not to overthink things, but considering our precarious relationship, this was a very difficult thing to do.
Somewhat luckily, Oliver had been normal the rest of our time together, easy-going, non-suspicious. That’s how someone who didn’t have a secret girlfriend should act. So, why couldn’t I be satisfied with that?
(Why did he place his phone face down? Why had the look in his eyes told me something different, something worse-?)
It would have made so much sense to find out that he did, in fact, have a girlfriend. After all, he’d been telling me all summer how unavailable he was. This would make so much more sense than the mindless, kind of shitty excuses he had for not being able to commit to me. Was it, then, my fault for getting involved with him? For fucking a taken man? Perhaps I’d pushed myself onto him, forcing the situation. No, no, it couldn’t have been. After all, he’d sought me out numerous times.
And, if this were the case, I was supposed to then end things? As soon as possible? Find her social media, send a fucking hey girly text message, throw myself off of a bridge in the process?
The way he kissed me when I left, the way he whispered, “I’ll miss you. You should come to the show tonight. My shining star. You’d make it all worth it. Until then, beautiful,” against my cheek, his eyelashes fluttering against my skin- there was no way I was the side piece. He was too invested in me.
Maybe she wasn’t real. Maybe he didn’t have a girlfriend. No, really- he just couldn’t have a girlfriend. It felt impossible. He was too…too caring, too gentle with me. He treated me so delicately it…just-
“Shit! Sorry!”
I had not been watching where I was going once I left Oliver’s room, which was extremely irresponsible of me. Anyone of our friends, my brother for Christ’s sake, could be walking these halls, on their way to visit the very person’s I’d just vacated. It was worse this week because Oliver’s room was on a different floor than everyone else’s. I had no way of excusing myself if I was caught up here. All I could do was be careful and hide when I heard someone familiar.
Yet, again- I was fucking stupid. I was careless. Mindless.
And I had run right into Adam.
“Daisy!” He looked up from his phone, still safe in his clutches because I’d only knocked into his left shoulder. “Shit, sorry. I’m a clutz.”
I forced out a chuckle, trying to seem chill, like I hadn’t just been having sex- 3 times- by his best friend, boss, lead singer of his band, my brother’s best friend.
“Oh, hey, Adam! No worries! I have plenty of bruises to prove I’m even more of a mess. What’re you up to?”
If I could gain control over the situation, be the one to ask the questions first, maybe then I could worm my way out of it without being exposed.
Then, a distant, deadly memory blared through my skull like a freight train. Last week, backstage. Adam, telling me where Oliver was, encouraging me to go to him. A knowing smile.
Fuck. This hole was deeper than I could ever crawl out of. Maybe he- maybe…maybe. Maybe he forgot-
“Daz…” he knew. He knew. Adam knew. He tilted his head, flicked his brows, gave a smile that suggested I just give up the facade already.
Before he could go on, I interrupted him, “Listen- just…please, just…no lectures, okay? I can handle myself. I know you guys all think Oliver’s this, like, bad person. But, he’s not. And, like- even if he is, I can handle it. I got it. I don’t need to be told what to do or warned or treated like a child. I- Oliver’s…it’s, just…you guys don’t know, okay? We have…I know it seems, like shitty, to you, probably. But…it’s really good. We have fun and, and we like each other…and that’s all that matters. Your opinions don't matter.”
As I went on, Adam’s face contorted into one of confusion, shock. Like he wasn’t computing the information I was messily throwing his way. “Daz, I…are you guys not just hooking up? I thought- I thought you were just fucking?” He let out a breathy chuckle, one of slight uncomfortability.
“It’s…yeah, like…I can see why you might think that, but…we have feelings for each other. And we’re not together or anything, but…we’re…we’re working on it.” For insisting that I didn’t want to be lectured like a child, I sure was speaking like one, shrinking in on myself, fiddling with my fingers all shy.
“So, please,” I held my hands up all defensive, like he’d lurch forward and attack me or something.
But, Adam simply sighed. He pocketed his phone, crossed his arms, eyeing me like some art exhibit. I didn’t know what he was going to say and, based on the silence he gave me, I didn’t really want to. He was calculating his response. He was probably going to fucking lecture me.
“Daisy, I…” aaand, here we go. It was me and Max in the elevator, all over again. It was Sasha, across from me at the breakfast table.
“I’m not gonna tell you what to do. That’s just not my place, no matter how much you mean to all of us, how much I think of you like, fuck, like a little sister. You are an adult. You can make your own decisions, dude.”
I breathed out the air I was holding. It was a relief, a sentiment I needed to hear. I didn’t care if I was being stupid- I just wished people would listen to me for once and let me do what I wanted.
“But.”
I shut my eyes, a bit tighter, longer than a blink took, in an attempt to ground the anger that was growing in my fingertips. “But, what?” My words were short, scornful.
“But,” Adam sighed again, “I just want you to be happy. I’ve watched you, all summer, try to prove yourself. To Sasha, to Max, to me. To your brother, especially. And, worst of all, Oliver.”
“It makes me so disappointed to see somebody like you have such little self worth. To see you dilute yourself for others. You are…so kind. So beautiful. So pointed and smart and sure of yourself. But, you hate it. You hate that you’re like that. You want to turn yourself into some version of you that just doesn’t fit. Some girl who’s edgy, some girl who’s laid back and doesn’t care what happens. That’s just not you, Daisy. You are intense. And that’s good! You’re passionate, you know what you want. You just…you need to believe you’re worth those wants. Stop doubting your abilities to make it happen. Stop doubting that you deserve it. Just grab it.”
I hadn’t expected to be so humbled. His words were…truer than any cheesy line any therapist had sold to me for $200. It knocked the wind out of me, forcing me to take a step back, literally. I guarded myself from the rush of the tornado, an arm wrapped over my stomach, one nervously rubbing my neck.
What the fuck was I supposed to say to that?
“I’m…sorry,” I whispered in response. It was all I could think to say.
“Don’t say sorry to me,” Adam touched my shoulder, “say it to yourself. You deserve the entire world. And I hope you accept that soon. This shit with Oliver will suck the life out of you.”
All I could think to do next was toss my arms around his shoulders, clutching him to my body like a warm blanket. He hugged me back, just as tight.
After only a few moments, we pulled apart. Neither of us said anything else. Adam simply touched my head, lovingly offering me this brotherly smile, before continuing his way down the hall.
I finally made my way to the elevator, one singular thought on my mind: my own self worth.
Adam had been so shockingly correct. I…
I knew it, too. I’d known it this whole time, only making myself and thought smaller in order to make room for Oliver. I couldn’t keep doing that. I needed to prioritize my own worth while loving him.
Loving him.
I needed to…
We couldn’t keep going like this.
I loved him.
And, from the way he held me, kissed me…the lyrical remedies he spoke to me…he loved me.
He loves me.
I’d confront him about this intuitive feeling.
Tonight.
“And this one I got when we were in Australia last year. I had this idea of getting ink everytime we hit a new city. But it got kind of expensive. Plus, we’re always so busy now that it’s, like, do I wanna eat or get a tattoo?”
“Get a tattoo, obviously,” Sam scoffed from the couch, a hint of tease within his tone. He scrolled mindlessly on his phone, barely a part of the conversation, just a nuisance, really.
Ronnie met my eyes and rolled her gaze, “Anyways-“
I giggled at the interaction before returning my line of sight to her arm. She pointed upon another piece of art inked onto her skin, diving into the backstory for that specific moment in time. Though it looked, to any passerby, that she was simply splattered with random images, doodles, animals, symbols- there was meaning to each and every piece on her body.
Tonight’s show had been postponed until tomorrow due to the monstrous thunderstorm that knocked out the power on that side of the city. With half the town closed down and plenty of free time now on our hands, Ronnie, Sam, and I found ourselves in our hotel room. We had been laying around for the majority of the afternoon, random topics on our minds.
I was killing time until I could chase Oliver down in his room, make my big stupid love confession.
Having admired Ronnie’s tattoos for a while, I was glad to finally have some extra time to ask her about all of them. It was always nice to get to talk to her, especially this in-depth, about most anything. She was intelligent and, frankly, hilarious.
She finished telling me the story about the horseshoe around her elbow. Then, before she continued down her left arm, she paused, another thought having intruded her concentration, “Daz.”
I tilted my head in recognition of my name, encouraging her to go on. She gave a little grin, like she had some sort of coy idea floating around in her head, “You don’t have any tattoos? Right?”
I shook my head. “Not yet. I definitely want some. Honestly, I get a little nervous,” I sheepishly admitted to what was holding me back.
Ronnie’s expression positively grew. I understood, based on the context clues and the way she peered over at me, what she was getting at now.
“Half the city is out of power,” I raised my brows at her. I wasn’t opposed to the idea- I, myself, even had a little smile itching at my lips. I was just…a little scared, to be honest. I hated needles, like any average person did. Plus, the idea of something so permanent on my skin terrified me. What would I even get?
“I know a guy. He’d come to us.”
“I don’t know what I’d get! I can’t do last minute things like this. I’ll regret it forever,” I giggled, though what I was saying was true.
Ronnie sat up, grasping my hands in hers. She clutched on, begging from her knees on the bed beside me, “That’s the best way to get a tattoo. Get something stupid, something you don’t even know if you like, so you can regret it and hate it until you finally decide to love it! Plus, what a memory we’ll make, Daz! We’ve barely gotten to do anything together this summer, yet you’ve become like a sister to me. We have to do it!”
Sam came out of the bathroom, face half-covered in shaving cream, razor dangling between his fingertips. He met my gaze as I turned my head towards him, a relaxed, pleased look on his brows. “Daz…”
“Sam..” I returned his tone, awaiting his criticism, his claims of me being too good-two-shoes to follow through.
His brows rose more, “Daz! Come on! You have to!”
“Sam, really? I thought you of all people would hate this idea! You really think I should do it?” I was shocked, to say the least. Where was his chidness? His disapproval? The daunting argument always between us?
Nowhere to be found. It was like character development, magically morphing itself before my eyes.
“You have to! You said yourself, this summer is supposed to be about letting go, having fun, being dumb. So far, I haven’t seen you let go and be dumb at all. So, you have to check those off your list! What better way to do that than by getting an impulsive tattoo?” He pointed.
If only he knew just how dumb I’d been this entire time.
I think he’d have killed me if he found out even just a shred of the truth.
He was right, anyway. What I thought was letting go, not caring- it wasn’t. And I knew that now. It was exactly what Adam had been telling me.
Oh, well. Sam would soon know the truth, once Oliver and I talked through the relationship. I’d deal with that hill after the mountain.
Everything between me and Oliver was out of my control- yet, I was clutching to the situation with white knuckles.
The idea of a tattoo was a distraction, a shred of proof, to myself, that I could control something. That I could genuinely let go of fate for a moment or two.
Besides, I’d always hear that tattoo therapy was the best kind of way to get through shit.
“Fuck it.”
So, there I sat, still in my pajamas, fuzzy socks on my feet, on the edge of my hotel bed, arm propped up on Ronnie’s friend Frank’s stand he’d brought with him.
I didn’t know what I was getting. Ronnie convinced me to let her pick something out, but I only let her do so if Sam had approved it first. The giddy expression on his face and the squeeze around my shoulders that he gave me signaled that it was a good pick.
My knee was bouncing. Anxiety that I more than expected filtered through my system like a poison. I steadied my breathing, focused on the fidget ring I wore on my left hand. Frank was setting everything up on this collapsible tablet he’d unpacked from this wagon he stepped into the room with. Ronnie and Sam talked his ear off, laughing over old memories they all shared. I didn’t even know my brother knew this guy, but I guess he had this entire life I didn’t know about in the first place.
I kept to myself, fit with the quiet introduction I offered and the stress that bled off of my skin in droplets of sweat.
more pre tattoo shit
“You love it?” Ronnie stood behind me in the mirror,
cutest poolside
“What the fuck!” Max bounded through the door. He had a Sleep Token bucket hat on his hair and I nearly snorted at how goofy it looked on his head.
But, any tease I wanted to prod him with was curbed as he brought his complaints further into the hotel room. He spotted me after looking over the rest of the habitants. His offended expression didn’t lessen, though, like I thought it would once he fell into his usual routine of laughter and flirts. Instead, when he approached me, towering over my lounged sprawl across my bed, he noticed the black ink pooling beneath the dermal-wrap on my forearm. His brows shot up underneath the rim of the bucket hat that I was beginning to grow just a little jealous of.
I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t gotten into the boys’ music ever since the show. But I’d never admit that to any of them. Especially not my brother, who would’ve acted like the snarkiest prick because of his incessant need to be right, even though he was usually quite wrong.
“No fucking way!” Max climbed onto the bed beside me, crawling across the messy sheets by his knees. He stopped beside me and grasped my wrist in his hands.
The pull gently lurched me forward, forcing me to sit up. I dropped my phone to the bed beside me as Max dipped his head low, examining my new tattoo. I giggled at his wonderment.
“You got a tattoo! Without me! What the fuck! Daz, I’m hurt!” Max pouted, meeting my eyes with the puppy dog expression sinking in his brown ones.
Adam, Cyrus, and Oliver had shuffled into the room. The former two latched onto the tattooist’s conversation with my brother and Ronnie. They started bouncing ideas off of him as quick as one could blink. I wondered where they thought they could fit more ink on their already crowded skin.
Meanwhile, Oliver wasn’t being shy with how obvious he was, peering towards Max and I like we were a museum attraction. But, I was probably the only one to notice how his gaze first latched onto Max’s fingers, gripping my arm. Then, he moved his attention to my tattoo, trying to make out its shape from the distant angle at which he stood.
I felt it now, more than ever, since I’d confirmed the feelings in my gut and let them rise to the surface. Just looking at him, I knew it…I loved him so fucking much.
Though Oliver had averted his expression, his point of view, I knew what that first glance had been. I knew that burn in his gaze, the sickening claim in his pupils. Jealousy. So sickly sweet and insecure.
Suddenly self aware, if only because of that strange understanding I had of him, I slipped my hand from Max’s. I pulled my knees in front of my chest which expanded the distance between us. Though the movement was light, Max noticed it like noticed his own breaths.
His words stuttered for a moment, fading away as the proof settled in the room, “How’d you deci- decide….on…” He filtered his look from my face then over his shoulder, at Oliver. I had peered at the latter for a moment too long, a gaze which was easily noticed by my friend.
“On it,” Max’s tone fell off. Oliver didn’t meet his eye, his gaze latched onto my tattoo still. What had been an observational moment for Oliver turned into an avoidance of Max’s confrontation.
I was seeing through the smog now, the rose colored glasses just a bit dimmer than they had been before. And Oliver looked…he looked ashamed. Ashamed that Max was finding out, or ashamed that he had been with me? I would soon find out.
Max glanced back at me. I followed the curves on the sheets with a distanced glaze behind my lids, barren all the same. Then, Max looked to his friend again.
He waited for someone to say something. But neither of us would wave a white flag, nor would we confess to the guilty sin. My plan had been to tell Oliver how I felt, then tell everyone if I needed to.
And I didn’t really want to. Especially not Max. I felt like I’d betrayed his trust.
Max sighed, sitting up a bit straighter. He dropped a gaped, “Oh,” before pulling himself off of the bed, becoming a part of everyone else’s momentum.
My body paused, Oliver and I tangled in the poison ivy on the cream colored wallpaper behind me. He didn’t look at me, he didn’t breath, he didn’t do anything. He just stood there, anxiety bleeding off his healed scars like me.
I hadn’t expected him to jump onto the bed, proclaim his love for me, and tell the judgemental town folk that they just didn’t understand Romeo and Juliet. But, something other than his quiet treason would have been everything to my jittery frame.
I would have appreciated it if he had, at least, told Max to forget about it. If he would have shoveled some excuse off the tip of his tongue, defended me, us, the stupid love affair we thought was getting us somewhere.
But he didn’t.
He just fucking stood there, like he always did.
It made the confidence Id just built up waver a bit.
I was too anxious to really do anything, either. I couldn’t find the nerve to stand on my own two feet, let alone pull Max aside and try to excuse our indiscretions. The room was suffocating as the stress further settled in.
Max knew. Max knew.
He knew.
The cat would tear itself out of the bag any day now if I couldn’t get it under control today.
It was only a matter of a ticking time bomb. When would the seconds run out? When would the explosion shatter my skull?
I thought about running out of the room, tossing myself off the balcony.
But before I could find the strength to get my footing on the carpet of the hotel room floor, someone was saying my name. Someone was dragging me into a conversation, turning the room’s energy onto me and Oliver’s sad, pathetic, bubble of shame, anxiety, and ruthless obsession.
I snapped out of my fragile little frame like the chill girl that I was and answered the question Sam had asked;
“Do you remember mom’s joke? About the flowers?”
I rubbed my dried lips together until they morphed easily into a sweet smile. The anxiety was pushed back down, like it always was, as I played my old, now forgotten role, “Which one? She had that book behind the counter. She harassed customers with it. Said she’d been a comedian in an alternate timeline, but I don’t think so.”
Sam rolled his eyes gleefully. The room shared a laugh at the thought of some eclectic woman, chasing customers out of her flower shop with a thrifted joke book before her eyes. I remember one time she tripped over a pot and nearly fell onto the concrete floor, already sprinkled with petals and cut-off flower stems. She caught herself, but fell to her knees with laughter. Sam rolled his eyes from behind the counter, where he’d been doing homework.
But, I could see myself, 10, braided plaits in my hair, scurrying over from my seat at the window. I abandoned my book, something I never did, to bask in my mom’s joyous laughter, something I missed more than air these days.
I wonder what Oliver thought of this story, now knowing what he knew. I wanted to look for him, for a smile. But I kept staring straight, at my brother.
“I know, but it was, like- it was the one about the photos and the camera. Something, like…” he racked his brain, concentration on his blond brows. “Helping..plants?”
“Helping the plant photosynthesize!” I straightened up as the punchline lurched from the depths of my memories.
Sam and I laughed, louder than the others possibly could, as we shared a sacred vision, as blurry as my eyes, as fleeting as the smell of our mom’s perfume. She loved that joke.
I could do with a little bit of her humor, now more than ever.
The things she’d say, if she could see me now…
Regardless, I think she’d have liked Oliver.
“Well, don’t bother telling the joke,” Ronnie snickered, patting Sam’s shoulder.
I noticed the intensity of his bone, from just the longer of her fingers on his clothed-skin. But he easily hid that before it became obvious. I recognized that flinchBut my brain was too busy to really memorize the interaction, let alone evaluate it.
“You spoiled it!” Ronnie drew another laugh from the crowd.
The joking continued, though the topic moved away from our mom. My thoughts lingered on her, as Adam moved to the tattoo station, the artist having found a spare spot on his shoulder to put some symbol I couldn’t make out.
My attention turned to my arm, to the burning ink settling its way into the layers of my derma. Two thin flowers, stems rooted in nothing but my pink skin, no soil in sight, just the garden of my body. The petals shaped out the delicate curve of the pair of daisies, my mom’s initials written out to the left of the small bouquet.
I looked up when I felt someone’s gaze on my face. It was Sam, watching me admiring my tattoo with this awestruck way that only a brother who loved his sister could appear.
For the first time in a very long time, I felt the urge to break the distance between us. I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and held him tightly against me. He didn’t hesitate to embrace me, even tighter. When he pulled apart, he pressed a kiss to my hairline.
“I love you, Sam ham.”
He punched my shoulder.
I was so scared to tell him about Oliver, though I was now realizing it would have to happen eventually. Adam’s advice- unsolicited, sure- had given me so much clarity. I was running, so much, so far, on broken ankles. Running from the truth, from myself.
I couldn’t anymore.
I went to say something else, but a phone started ringing in the room somewhere. It wouldn’t have been too halting if, when I passively looked over my shoulder, it hadn’t been Oliver’s cell.
He tugged it from his pocket, curiously reading the contact across the screen. As always, he denied the call and stuck it back in his pocket. He’d told me before that he thought it rude to answer it in front of others. Yet, as soon as he put it away, it began ringing again.
He went to deny it, again, when Cy called out a tease from his seat on the couch. “Dude, just go outside and answer it. Could be someone important.”
“It’s not,” Oliver muttered, denying it.
It was ringing. Again.
“Your mom?” Sam inquired, brows furrowed.
I knew Oliver’s mom didn’t call often, a small detail he’d told me once in a fleeting conversation about his family, a set of people he didn’t really identify himself with if only because of the distance between them all.
So, when she did call, he’d always take it. Couldn’t be her, but I couldn’t vocalize this knowledge.
Oliver shook his head, confirming my suspicion. Everyone else that I knew he spoke to was in this room.
Spam, probably.
Oliver denied the call. It was ringing before he could hide it away, shut it off, hell- throw it out the window.
Oliver huffed, loudly. Sam snickered, then, a knowing chuckle that told me he knew something I didn’t.
“Ooo,” Sam took a few steps towards his friend, who was still seated on the couch. He peered over Oliver’s shoulder, who quickly hid the phone. “That tells me all I need to know.”
“Shut up, dude,” Oliver’s eyes rolled over mine, shortly, quickly, ashamedly.
This was, really, where things did start to fall apart, if I had to pick a singular moment in time and stamp it.
This was it. The end of it all. My demise.
Our fate finally crawling from our throats.
Where I thought I had control, where I thought I knew exactly how to handle the situation, cure our disease…
There were cells multiplying beneath our pale skin.
Max, sat on the couch now, stood to his feet with a sense of urgency. He met my eyes as I glanced at him, right before things clicked in my head, right before Sam opened his mouth. It was like he could see the future, his intuition screeching like a siren. Once the bomb dropped, I noticed the panic in Max’s eyes and looked back to my brother, towards Oliver, who gazed at me again, as fleeting as that final look was.
“Ah, it’s your little girlfriend. Knew you two would get back together. How is Fiona these days? Still annoying as ever?” Sam seemed amused by the moment.
He was so unaware of the drama layered just underneath the careless air he easily existed in, so unaware of the panic in my body as I fled from the room. I made no attempt to make myself seem casual or fucking chill.
Max didn’t hesitate to follow me. He was on my heels, hot as the summer air just outside of the windows.
But, I ignored him as he called out my name.
The air in my lungs was burning, like I was going up in flames from the inside out. Maybe it was that pain, or maybe it was the choking tears flooding down my cheeks, but- my vision was blurring. I was dizzy. Short-lived muscle memory is the only thing that got me to the elevator doors. But, I couldn’t find the button. I slammed my fingers against the wall, only feeling the dry scratch of the decorative paper beneath my prints.
My lips wobbled like a child’s, blubbers that were supposed to be sobs flustering out from my tongue. “Where is it? Where the fuck is it?” I whispered to myself, pointer finger numb from how harshly I was jabbing the wall.
My harbors had gone up in flames. I was floating in deep, deathly waters with nowhere to anchor. Until- Max’s voice finally caught up with me. One gentle hand on the dip of my back, one carefully wrapping its fingers around my wrist.
I couldn’t resist, not that I really wanted to, as his towering, homely frame took me in, cradled me like the child I needed to be in this moment.
The elevator finally beeped, the doors opening like another set of warm, homely arms. Max guided us inside and peeled one of his hands away from me to press the button for the second floor.
I half-expected Oliver to chase us down, to lodge his body between the doors, grab me from Max’s arms. I wanted him to chase me out into the rain, flag down a taxi, meet me at the airport like some cheesy rom-com scene.
But, he didn’t.
In fact, he didn’t say anything to me for three whole fucking days.

Love you one arm or two
Clyde x Reader
TWs: PTSD from war, depression, anxiety, trauma
You felt your blood go cold with fear when you heard the news. An airport explosion. Your best friend Clyde, who had been finally allowed to go home after Iraq, had been caught in it. His older brother Jimmy and sister Millie were sick with worry too. No one knew yet Clyde’s condition. Only that he had been rushed to the nearest hospital. The doctors had told you they couldn’t promise he would live. He was in a coma like state and had sustained severe injuries. One to his left arm- the explosion so bad his arm had been blown off. Well his hand. Half his arm now a grizzly bloody stump which would need countless stitches. He had other injuries, some to his legs, his torso, a deep gash in his side. His head had some cuts. You had flown immediately down to where he was hospitalized. Rushing through the hospital halls till you found his room. Slipping inside you gasped softly at his state, all bandaged up. You noticed then his missing hand and forearm. Your heart shattered, you went to his right side and gently took hold of his uninjured hand.
Gently rubbing it as tears rolled down your cheeks “Clyde honey…” you pleaded.
You heard a groan and you looked down quickly “Clyde!” You half yelled half whispered. You let out a small sob and leaned down to pull him close against you.
“Darlin?” He called out weakly.
You gently brushed loose hair from his face “I’m here honey…I’m here” you promised kissing his forehead.
Clyde wrapped his good arm around you and buried his head against your neck “i missed ya so much…” he was in so much pain, memories of Iraq raw in his mind as well. He clung to you weakly.
“I missed you to Clyde, i was so scared I would lose you…” you sniffled. “You’re okay…you’re safe now…the doctors will take good care of you” you said softly as you gently rubbed his good hand.
His large hand gently petted your hair as he comforted you. He glanced down and finally noticed his missing arm. He whimpered almost, he was now one armed. He wouldn’t be able to do all the same stuff as easily now. He also feared you’d leave him, abandon him, he couldn’t handle that now. He has his brother Jimmy and sister Mellie, but they were back home. Not here where he had been brought. “Darlin? Are yer gonna leave me?” He said so softly you almost didn’t hear him.
Your heart broke, Clyde used to be louder and more full of life. Yes he had just sustained severe injuries and trauma but he usually would use those painful memories in a way where he would comfort himself by making it a joke. This time was different, Clyde was scared, in pain, broken. A once louder and funny soul crushed by war. You gently cupped his cheek “no no of course not honey, my sweet Clyde” you comforted. “One arm or two- I’ll always be here and I’ll always love you” you felt his head bury into your arms as his walls broke, he cried softly into your chest.
“I love ya too darlin” he weakly spoke through his cries. He cried till he slumped against you, between the physical pain and emotional, he was beyond exhausted.
-two years later-
You and Clyde had worked through a lot of painful memories. Clyde was still healing. He now worked at Duck Tape Bar as a method to cope and try living like an everyday civilian. It wasn’t easy, some nights he would come absolutely exhausted and drained, some would make fun of him and his prosthetic. Clyde had a soft heart and soul, he wasn’t your typical tough and gruff bartender, but rather a gentle and sensitive soul. It was one of those nights, he got home and slipped off his boots. You two lived together now, you couldn’t be apart from him, too worried he would have a PTSD episode or a depression spell, he had been low lately. He looked so tired as he walked in, eyes almost dull. “Clyde? Oh sweetheart…” you mumbled as you went to him. “Bad day?” You asked knowing the signs of his pain.
He nodded softly and wrapped his right arm around you. You wrapped both arms around him and held him close. You shifted one arm to gently unlatch his prosthetic, carefully setting it down before lovingly massaging his stump, you often did this when you wanted to show him even more love.
He breathed and leaned into you. “Thank ya darlin” he mumbled. He kissed your cheek then took your hand and led you to your shared bedroom. His blood went cold as he heard a crack of thunder.
Storms here were relatively common this time of year, you saw Clyde go pale. He hated thunder, the loud cracks reminding him of those guns and tanks. The screams and horrific sounds of war. You guided him into your room and guided him to sit. “Hey, Clyde, focus on me okay?” You knew how to get him through these panic attacks. His eyes darting around before settling on you, sharp quickened breaths panting out of him. “Breathe with me” you guided his hand to your chest and laid it there “feel my heartbeat? Focus on that okay?” You guided him in the breathing exercises his therapist had told him to do whenever he had one of his panic attacks. Being a veteran, he had been given a therapist for free, especially after what he endured with losing a part of himself physically and mentally. He took shaky breaths which eventually evened out some. “Good job” you soothed. “That’s it…deep breaths Clyde” you comforted as you petted his hair gently. He finally eased against you and breathed normally. You slipped headphones over his ears and turned on music he loved, another method, it would block out the thunder. You slowly felt him drift off to sleep against you. His head resting against your chest. You held him tight and let yourself fall asleep.
The next morning you woke up and felt the heavy warmth of Clyde laying on you. His arm wrapped around you holding you close as he was snuggled into your chest. You smiled softly before seeing his missing left arm, you frowned and sighed, tears pricking at your eyes with pain for him. You had to be strong, even years later seeing that stump- it still broke your heart knowing he would never truly be the same.
“Mm, g’mornin darlin” he hummed out as he opened his eyes. He gazed to you, his honey brown eyes soft and tender, tired, he didn’t sleep a ton or that well when he did. Having you by his side helped though, which is one of many reasons you two now lived together.
“Morning Clyde” you smiled softly “slept well?” You asked hopefully. You knew how tired he often was, and he worked late nights often at the bar, normally not getting home till as early as eleven.
“Alrigh I guess” he shrugged. He sat up and rubbed his eyes with his right hand. He reached for his prosthetic, attaching it to his stump. It was a pretty stiff one, wasn’t useful for much outside bracing something against it or if his customers caused any trouble. Aside that- it wasn’t the most ideal prosthetic but it would do in a pinch. Till he saved up for a better more modern one, one that could be more mobile and that he could actually use.
You nodded “you should rest some today” you suggested. Knowing he worked late, maybe he could rest some before he went in. You kissed his cheek and got up “I’ll make us some breakfast, I’ll burn the bacon like you like it” you smiled gently and winked before heading out of your shared bedroom. You went and began cooking up some breakfast, on the tv news of that big upcoming Cola race at the Nascar speedway. You knew racing was a big deal where you lived, but in all honesty you were indifferent to it. Only having gone to one race but you’d watch the race at home with Clyde, he enjoyed it.
Clyde got dressed and went to join you. His arm wrapped around your waist as he rested his chin atop your shoulder. You smiled feeling his heavy warmth and you gently rubbed his arm as you cooked up breakfast for you both. He kissed your into your hair softly and squeezed you gently with his good arm, before giving you the space you need to cook. “Thanks darlin” he said softly and sweetly.
You smiled and nodded “of course” you soothed and with breakfast made, you plated up the food and brought both plates to the table. You set the plates down before gently squeezing his shoulders. “What if we went somewhere together? A few days to just get away. Maybe it’ll help you” you said softly as you kissed his shoulders. “I’m sure the bar would understand and could find someone to hold things down till you get back” you knew he was well known there- everyone knew Clyde.
“Maybe…I can call up and ask. Where would we go?” He asks curiously. He wasn’t opposed to it. He loved spending time with you, it was the one thing he could fully latch onto along with his siblings.
“Wherever you’d like hun” you smiled and gently rested a hand on his squeezing gently. You knew it would help him destress and maybe feel a bit better. You loved him more then anything and wanted to help rekindle his old playful side he once had before Iraq and coming home with a permanent wound and wounds in his mind- forever to have certain things trigger his PTSD.
He hummed softly as he thought it over, you two settled on a simple date day. A picnic by your favorite lake, you’d take a walk, and would lay under the shade of a tree. This lake was special. Because you two had your first date there, it was a beautiful crystal blue lake, with huge oak trees by it. You laid back against him, your head against his chest and his arm around you. You lay between his legs. His head resting atop yours as you two snuggled and watched birds go by, Clyde just taking in the peaceful silence.
Clyde pressed a soft kiss to your head and murmured “thank ya darlin. I love you” he smiled softly. He felt better- sure he would have more bad days. But- he felt a bit better after a stretch of those. He closed his eyes and just breathed and enjoyed your warmth.
You smiled and kissed his hand “i love you Clyde, and I always will. We’ll get through all of it together” was your promise to him. As you two spent the rest of the day cuddled up together by your favorite nature spot.

Tumblr media
❥ Keisuke Baji
You were outside, waiting for your boyfriend to leave your shared apartment so you both could start with your date.
But he’s taking so long. Is his piss that long, like a fricking fountain?? Or is he taking a dump? A huge one?? Whatever it is, Baji better get his ass outside right now 'cause you’re getting hungry or you swear you’re gonna go ahead and leave him so you could eat.
Shrugging your shoulders, you start walking. Baji knows the place where you’re gonna eat at anyways. You’ll text him, order food when you’re there so when he gets there, the eating can start immediately! .
But alas, three people approached you, clearly gangsters as they had their uniforms on. Low-key panicking, you think of a plan on how to get away from them as you felt intimidated and think they were gonna beat you up for being Baji’s girlfriend.
Unexpectedly, One of them spoke, saying you were his type and just started to flirt right there and making you uncomfortable while his friends just stared and watched in amusement.
Your brow twitched when he started to get handsy then the next thing you know, the person who was touching you was sent flying and knocked out cold on the ground.
“You asshole. That’s my girl you’re touching.” Baji ask, voice deep as he cracks his knuckles. “You askin’ to die early or what?”
After beating the absolute shit out of the three guys, especially that one guy, Baji scans you for any injuries then took your hand in his and dragged you back inside the apartment, slamming the door open and shut.
“Kei-” before you could utter more words, you were pulled into a kiss, rough and deep. “I’m hungry.” He said, giving your neck feathery kisses as he pins you on the wall, his leg between yours and rubbing your crotch making you mewl.
“Then why’d you drag me back inside, ahh-” Pecking your lips, he grins and goes back to your neck to bite it. “I’ve decided to have dessert first.” He replied, now giving your neck wet kisses as his hand went to cup your breast and play with the perked nipple.
“And you need to be punished for leaving and scaring the shit out of me.” Baji picks you up and walks to your shared bedroom, gently placing you down then going on top of you while he unbuckles his pants.
You start to take off your clothes as well after gulping down the lump in your throat. Baji spreads your legs and goes between them, his hand already playing with your folds and making you even more wet.
"You ready to receive your punishment, baby?" you moan and nod your head when he inserted two fingers and curled them inside your walls.
"Alright," he says, leaning down to kiss your stomach, his eyes never leaving your face as he was finally in front of your cunt, giving your clit a kiss. "Let's start."
Tumblr media
❥ Mikey/Manjiro Sano
What’s up with this guy, suddenly walking up to you. He mocked Mikey, called him short or a shrimp then flirt with you next.
He’s ruining the date- oh, wait. It’s already ruined the moment he barged into your lives, just like an annoying fucking bug.
Glaring at the guy, Mikey grabs your wrist and pulls you in, catching your mouth with his while staring straight into the guy’s eyes in a piercing way as he shows both of your tongues rolling, him sucking it that it made saliva drip down by the corner of your lips.
You felt him smirk when you let out a small moan. He pulled away after the guy left, swearing and grumbling making his smirk widen, and he swears he'll deal with him later after he's done with you.
Chuckling, he drags you to a nearby restroom, lift your dress, strip your underwear and immediately started playing with your already wet cunt. “I bet he was thinking he could fuck you.” He said, unzipping his pants with a hiss to free his hard and stiff dick that slapped his abdomen.
Mikey rubs the head at your folds, resulting for both of you to moan and shiver. “But no one will be able to fuck this pussy of yours but me, right?” You screamed a yes when he suddenly thrusted all the way, hitting your cervix and making you full.
“No one can fuck you as good as me, right baby?” He groans when he felt you clench around his shaft. "Yes! oh, please, Mikey. please, move already!" You cry as you wiggle your hips with a sniffle, already forgetting the fact you were inside a public restroom as your mind has already been clouded with pleasure when Mikey stuffed his dick inside you.
"Alright, princess." He chuckle, thrusting his hips slowly. "Here's your reward for being such a good girl." Then goes in an animalistic pace, absolutely fucking you into oblivion not really caring where you both are, so bless the people that passed by and heard those unholy noises.
Tumblr media
❥ Ran Haitani
Ran somehow found it cute how this person was trying so hard he could make you fall for him with his shitty flirting skills. He couldn't handle the second hand embarrassment anymore, also the jealousy and anger he's feeling.
He pulled you in by your waist, nuzzle his face on your neck that it made you glance at him then back at the obviously pissed gangster.
You giggle when his kisses tickled you, not aware of his mocking look towards the person in front of you. You lightly hit his back when he licked your neck which he responded with a smile and a peck on your lips before looking back at the unimportant person.
"Oh? You're still here." He said, the little smile on his face disappearing. The gangster felt small at Ran's icy stare, so before running away, he cursed at your boyfriend who smirked in triumph which disappeared quickly when he called you a bitch.
"Ran..." His lips curled upwards, his anger subsiding for now when he saw how cute and needy you looked, especially with the way how you rub your legs against each other.
Yep, he was definitely done for.
"Horny, princess?" You furrow your brows and hit his shoulder. "Who's fault do you think that is?" Laughing at your reaction, he kisses your cheek and intertwines your fingers with his.
"Say no more." He said, as he starts to walk back to his place. "I'll fuck ya real good 'til you can't walk for a whole day ♡"
Finally reaching his place, Ran picks you up, wrap your legs around him as he initiates a kiss while walking towards his room.
Placing you gently down on the bed, he presses his crotch against yours, feeling the wet patch on it as he starts to bite and suck your neck, putting his mark all over there so you won't be able to cover all of them and so that the next time some fucker comes up to you again, he'd just make them look at those marks.
After he was done taking your clothes off, he starts to do the same to himself and you watch your boyfriend strip them off.
"You're so fucking hot." you whisper as you pull him in for a kiss again. "Not as hot as you." he replied, his hands roaming around your body, tickling you and sending shivers down your spine.
"Please, fuck me already." you plead making him grin while he pumps his shaft then align it at your entrance. "No need to say it twice, sweetheart. Here I-"
"Again, close the fucking door or at least inform me when you're gonna fuck each other." Rindou blankly said as he closed the said door of the room then left the apartment while cursing his big bro. You both laughed and quicky resumed with the fucking just like that.
Tumblr media
❥ Rindou Haitani
The moment this random stranger just straight up walked to you and ruined his date with you, the person was already dead in Rin's head.
Unlike his brother who thought of the gangster cute, his face really said the fucking audacity of this bitch of even thinking he could snatch you away from him with a couple of shitty lines that he probably just searched somewhere in the internet.
He glares at the guy, wrap his arm around your shoulder and just lefg which made the stranger throw a fit by shouting some insulting things towards Rin then at you making your boyfriend to clench his jaw.
"Don't mind him, Rin." You say with a smile on your face before wincing in pain when the same person suddenly grabbed your shoulder in a harsh way which immediately snapped the thread of Rindou's patience.
Rin breaks the gangster's hand, making him shout out in pain. three friends from the same gang as him came as they were just hanging around from a distance.
You watch your boyfriend in action. Beating and knocking the gangsters out cold with ease then hurriedly left the scene when the familiar sound of a siren was heard.
Back to his place, you were both going at it. Rin was fucking you as if he was an animal in heat while you were a mess under him.
Earlier, you were just praising him and telling him how cool he was then started to pepper his face with kisses, an innocent gesture that obviously turned into something more. Something heated as you both got greedy with each other's touch.
"Can I join in?" Ran asked in a teasing tone outside the room that you both swear you could hear the smirk in it.
Rin's thrust goes slow but hard when he heard an annoying voice. "Go away." he replied as he goes fast and harsh again without any warning that it made you scream his name and come undone.
"Rin... No more..too much, too full.." you sniffle, making him chuckle and kiss your cheek as he goes slow again. "Alright, baby. But can you hang on just a little more? You just feel so good."
You slowly nod your head, earning a sweet kiss. "Good girl." he rolls his hips then thrust hard, the head of his dick entering your womb that it made you moan loud again. "Your reward's coming soon."

Demon Bros React: MC Is Insecure
Warnings: mentions of insecurity surrounding body image, physical appearance, self-worth.
Lucifer
It was the day after a party Diavolo had thrown at his castle. You had had fun for the most part, dancing with the brothers and eating delicious foods prepared by Barbatos.
But you also remembered how it had felt to look around the room and realize you were surrounded by gorgeous demons, not a single flaw on anyone’s face. Doubt and insecurity had begun to creep into your mind, and that feeling had carried over into the next day.
You had only talked briefly with Lucifer at the party because he was too busy interacting with Diavolo’s guests. Every time you tried to catch his eye, you noticed how beautiful whoever he was talking to was and found yourself swallowing down your greeting.
Currently Lucifer was at his desk like always, scribbling down notes and shuffling through papers. You brought him afternoon tea and sat reading in one of his armchairs to keep him company.
You had been telling yourself that you were going to ask him the question that was burning in your mind, but an hour had already passed since you first came in. You tried to distract yourself with your book but the words were fuzzy on the page. Finally, you spoke. “Luci?”
He didn’t look up from his desk when he answered, “Yes, love?”
“Do you... do you ever wish I was more beautiful?”
The scratching of his pen stopped immediately and Lucifer lowered the papers he was holding to show his face, a carefully blank expression revealing nothing. “What exactly do you mean by that question?”
“I mean exactly what I asked. Do you ever wish I was more beautiful? More attractive? As the Avatar of Pride have you ever been... embarrassed to be seen with me?”
At this Lucifer’s expression grew cold and furious. “Has someone... made you feel this way? Has someone made you feel as if you are inadequate?” You shook your head sadly and whispered, “No, just my own brain.”
“Ah, I see. Well pet, I don’t ever wish you were more beautiful because you are the most beautiful being I’ve ever seen. So it would be physically impossible for you to be more beautiful than you are now.”
You snorted. “Luci, that was so cheesy. Your brothers would throw up if they heard what you just said.” Lucifer’s lips quirked up in amusement. “Well, I’m glad I was able to make you laugh. And I do mean what I said. I’ve never once felt embarrassed to be with you; you are my pride, the source of my happiness. If anyone were to suggest otherwise, I would gladly kill them.”
“Luci, we’ve been over this. You can’t just kill everyone who is mildly rude to me.”
Lucifer went back to working on his papers but there was a gentle smile on his face. “Darling, you’ll find that I definitely can. I have a permit.”
Mammon
You were regretting tagging along to one of Mammon’s photo shoots. At first, it seemed like a fun idea getting to look at all the clothes, makeup, and jewelry. Plus, you really wanted to see what Mammon was like when he was working professionally.
It was fun at first, you cooing over how handsome Mammon looked in his outfit and watching him get all flustered and blushy. But then the actual photoshoot started and you watched as Mammon posed with a stunning model.
You tried to not let your insecurities get the best of you. You were here to support Mammon! But as the shoot progressed you couldn’t help but start to compare yourself, keeping track of how they were more beautiful and you more flawed.
The photographer stopped to take a break and Mammon immediately bounced over to you. “MC, did you see me? How does it feel to watch the Great Mammon in his natural element? I look good, don’t I?”
You caressed Mammon’s cheek and feigned a bright smile. “You were amazing Mammon! You look so handsome. And this is such a cool outfit!” But Mammon was somehow always able to tell when you were faking a good mood and he frowned. “MC, is something wrong? You look sad. Did something happen?”
You opened your mouth, an excuse ready on your lips, but found you couldn’t lie right to Mammon’s face. You gestured toward the model who was talking to their manager in the corner. “Do you ever wish I looked like that?”
Mammon cocked his head, confused. “Do I ever wish you had blue hair? Not particularly? Although now that I think about it, blue hair would look cool on you too.”
You sighed. “No, I mean do you ever wish I looked like a model? Sexier? Or prettier?” Mammon thought for a moment, processing your question, and then frowned. “Oh no no no. Treasure, what’s this all about? What happened?”
“Sorry Mams, I didn’t want to distract you while you’re working. I just got really low and insecure all of a sudden. Started thinking about how you should be with someone really beautiful, you know? And sometimes I feel like that’s not me.”
Clearly upset, Mammon rushed to give you a crushing hug, tucking your head underneath his chin. “MC I- I wish I could beam my thoughts into your head. That way you’d really believe me when I say that you’re so precious to me. Every day I wake up and think about how lucky I am to be with you.”
You chuckled a little. “I do put up a lot with you, don’t I.” Mammon gently smacked you on your back. “Hey! I’ve been good lately! But seriously MC, you are stunning. You are gorgeous. And it’s okay if you don’t believe me right now because- because I’ll tell you as many times as you need me to! I’ll tell you a thousand times a day! A million times!”
You tried to blink away the tears in your eyes and held onto Mammon even tighter. “Thanks Mams, I love you so much.”
“Love you too treasure. Your first man’s gonna take care of you, don’t you worry about a thing.”
Leviathan
Usually you liked watching anime with Levi; it was one of your favorite things to do together. Levi was always more happy and lively when watching with you because he was able to express his opinions freely without judgment. And you thought it was adorable how excited Levi got over his favorite characters and storylines.
Today, you were snuggled together on some cushions re-watching an episode of “The Magical Ruri Hanai: Demon Girl”. At first you were enjoying the episode, laughing as Ruri got used to the oddities of the human world. But Levi’s repeated comments about how cute Ruri-chan was, which you usually never minded, started to bother you a bit.
You took a quick glance around the room, noting Levi’s enormous collection of Ruri-chan posters, figurines, and other merch. Levi tapped you on the knee, interrupting your thoughts. “MC, you’re missing the best part! What are you looking at?”
You sighed a little, struggling to act nonchalant. “Sorry Levi, it’s nothing. I’m still watching.” Frowning, Levi paused the episode and turned to look at you. “Hey, what’s up?”
Taking a deep breath, you said “Levi, I’m not Ruri-chan.” He narrowed his eyes in confusion. “Yes... I know?”
You continued, “I don’t look like Ruri-chan. Does that bother you?”
“Does it bother me... that you don’t look like an anime character?” He repeated the question slowly, as if you had asked him the strangest question in the world.
Frustrated, you blurted out “I don’t look like Ruri-chan! I’m never going to be as cute as her!”
Levi looked completely bewildered, his eyes wide and staring at you in confusion. “B-But you are cute! MC, w-what are you even talking about?”
Embarrassed at your outburst you looked down at the floor silently. Levi scooted over toward you so that your knees were touching and he waited until you broke the silence. “Sometimes I wonder if I’m good enough. I think maybe you’d like it if I looked cuter or acted cuter, like the characters in anime.”
Levi hesitated for a moment before quickly grabbing onto your hand, blushing furiously as he did so. "MC, I-I already think you're c-cute. Really really cute. So don't say things like that. And also, I like you because you're you! Not because you're like someone else."
"And you make me really happy. I'm just a gross otaku. I never thought I'd be able to... to find someone like you. Someone who accepts me."
He tried to lock eyes with you but blushed even harder and stared at your joined hands. "Plus, I couldn't to-touch an anime character. But I can touch you. I can hold your hand or give you hugs whenever you need it, o-okay?"
You leaned your head onto Levi's shoulder and closed your eyes, letting the peaceful silence wash over you.
Satan
You were accompanying Satan on a trip to one of his favorite stores: an antique shop that sold all manner of rare books and artifacts. The owner, Ms. Sparrow, was a friend of Satan’s and she welcomed the two of you wholeheartedly.
Today, she looked as gorgeous as she always did. Her chic pearl dress and matching silk gloves shone against her dark skin. Not a curl in her hair was out of place and even the click-clack of her heels on the floor seemed melodious somehow.
You left Satan to look at the books and went wandering off into the various aisles of the store, marveling at all the bits and bobs. In one of the over-stuffed corners you happened to find a glittering silver key on a red velvet ribbon. Taking it in your hand, you went back through to show it off to Satan, wanting to ask him what he thought it opened.
But Satan was busy chatting and laughing with Ms. Sparrow. You watched the two of them for a moment and noticed how well they complimented each other. Both had a certain poise, a kind of confidence and certainty in their movements.
On your walk back to the dorms, you were unusually quiet and Satan noticed. “Pet, is something the matter?”
You hesitated, wondering if Satan was going to find your insecurity childish. “Satan, I’m not very....elegant.”
“Yes, I know. You choked on a piece of bread yesterday. The day before that you tripped over absolutely nothing and fell down.” He smiled, expecting for you to get riled up, but it fell when he saw that you looked dejected. “Love, what is the matter? Have I upset you?”
You avoided his gaze. “Sometimes... sometimes I wonder if I bring you down by being with you. I feel like you deserve someone elegant and sophisticated. Someone who matches you. But I’m not. I’m clumsy and messy and not perfect, like Ms. Sparrow.”
Satan’s eyebrows shot up in surprise. “Ms. Sparrow? What does she have anything to with this?” He turned you around so that you were facing him. “Pet, please look at me. I love you. And I’m not with you in spite of you being clumsy or messy. I love you because you’re clumsy and messy, because those are parts of you and I love all of you.”
He leaned down to press his forehead against yours. “And why would I need someone perfect? Am I perfect? Yesterday you saw me screaming at my cup because I accidentally spilled some tea and burned my finger.”
You shrugged while giggling, “I thought it was a perfectly reasonable response.” You wrapped your arms around his and buried your face into his shoulder. “Thanks, Satan. You always know how to make me feel better.”
He reached down to give you a gentle kiss. “Anytime, love. I’m always here for you.”
Asmodeus
Asmo has a lot of fans across all his social media accounts. That was made perfectly clear the first time you went on a date with him outside. Sitting in the trendy coffeeshop, several people had come up to ask him for a picture or an autograph. He was never shy about you and always introduced you as his sweetheart, cooing about how beautiful you were.
Some days it was okay. You loved seeing the bubbly social-butterfly side of Asmo. He was always so sweet to everyone who came up to him and genuinely enjoyed meeting new people. But other days, your insecurity rose up like a huge wave and dampened everything.
This particular day you were shopping with Asmo in a new boutique that had opened up. You were aimlessly flicking through the racks of clothes when you heard a large squealing.
Two demons ran up to Asmo, talking and gesturing excitedly. You could make out that they followed him on Devilgram and were asking if he was willing to take a picture with them. These demons were some of the most attractive beings you had ever seen. Their clothes were incredibly stylish and their hair and makeup were done flawlessly.
Looking around the shop, in all of the full length mirrors you could see the reflection of Asmo and his beautiful fans. And you looked out of place, like a puzzle piece that didn’t fit in at all.
Tearing up, you grabbed a random pair of jeans off the rack and ran into a changing room. You turned away from the mirror, not wanting to look at yourself, and took deep breaths to try and keep from bursting into sobs. After a few moments Asmo began looking for you, having finished taking pictures. “Sweetheart, are you changing? Let me see what you’re wearing when you’re done!”
At the sound of his voice you burst into tears and your attempts to muffle the noise were futile. Outside the door, Asmo’s voice sounded panicked. “Darling, are you okay? What’s the matter? Please come outside, whatever it is please let me help you!” You hesitated, not wanting to face him, but this made him even more frantic. He started jiggling the doorknob and knocking on the door.
You opened it, afraid that he would accidentally break the doorknob leaving you trapped inside. As soon as he saw you he gathered you in his arms and began making shushing noises while smoothing your hair. “Sweetheart, why are you crying? Please talk to me, please tell me what’s wrong.”
You tried to get the words out in between sobs and hiccups. “A-Asmo, don’t you want someone m-more beautiful? Someone who-who looks g-good with you?” Asmo paused for a moment, processing your words, and then his eyes burned with anger. “Sweetheart, did one of my fans say something mean to you? Did someone make you feel like this?”
You shook your head vigorously. “No, just me.” Asmo breathed a sigh of relief at hearing no one had harrassed you and resumed smoothing your hair. “Oh, darling. You ARE beautiful. You’re stunning, sweetheart. I wish you could see the way I saw you, how adorable and gorgeous you are. And I understand that there are going to be days when you don’t believe me, when you feel like you’re not. But at least don’t go through those days alone, okay?”
You nodded, not trusting yourself to speak without tearing up again.
"Now, let's go get some ice cream. We can eat it while taking a bubble bath."
Beelzebub
You weren’t really sure why Beel liked you coming with him to the gym all the time, even if you didn’t exercise. He said your presence was calming and that it made him focus better, which was odd because a lot of the time you just sat on an unoccupied machine and scrolled through your D.D.D.
Today was much the same, with Beel running on the treadmill and you watching some videos. The gym was pretty empty, just a few students exercising here and there.
Your eyes drifted to Beel who was running without even breaking a sweat. His body was all solid muscle: his arms, legs, and abs looked perfectly chiseled and toned. Last week you accidentally ran into Beel in the hallway and it felt like you had smashed into a brick wall. Beel, on the other hand, was completely fine.
You began to wonder what Beel thought about your body. He could be pretty handsy at times and he wasn’t shy in his affections. But what if there was something he didn’t like? Something that he thought needed changing?
He’s never mentioned anything about exercising to you before. But you thought back to the students you had seen in this gym: all of them were extremely fit with incredible bodies. You couldn’t help but start to compare yourself to them and think that maybe you were lacking.
Just then, Beel finished his run and walked over to you. You weren’t sure what kind of facial expression you were making but it seemed enough to concern him because he asked, “MC, is everything okay?”
“Hey Beel... do you ever wish I had a nicer body?”
He squinted in confusion. “What do you mean by ‘a nicer body’?”
“I don’t know... just better. Whatever nicer looks like for you.”
Beel was quiet for a moment, thinking. “No, I've never wished for that before. I still don't know what you mean by 'nicer'. I love you. And I love your body because its yours. The only thing that matters to me is whether you’re happy. And as long as I'm still allowed to touch you, then I'm happy.”
He looked at you nervously then, biting his lip. "Am I... still allowed to touch you?"
You laughed and reached to give him a hug, loving how safe it felt in his arms. "Of course, big guy. Thanks for making me feel better. You always know what to say."
Beel flushed with pride and closed his eyes in happiness, leaning into your hand as you patted him on the head.
Belphegor
You knew you were dreaming because you were sitting in a R.A.D classroom surrounded by fellow students, but you couldn’t focus on any of their faces. They were blurry, as if someone had smudged them like an artist had smudged some charcoal.
You were at your desk, looking around the classroom, when as if on cue all of the students began to slowly gather around you. They stood there silently for a moment, unmoving, and you felt a shiver go up your spine.
And then one by one the students began to hurl insults at you.
“You’re not good enough. Not good enough for Belphegor.” “You’re ugly, you’re hideous. “You’re unwanted, go back to where you came from.” “You don’t deserve what you have, don’t deserve good.” “You’re weak.” “You ruin others, you ruin everything.”
As they insulted you the students began to draw themselves closer, pushing and shoving to reach you. They almost made a cover over your desk as if to block out all the light. You hunched over your desk, shaking and panicking, trying to curl up to protect yourself.
One of the demons began shaking your shoulder roughly, you yelping in pain. He began yelling in your ear, “Wake up! Wake up!”
“MC! Wake up!”
You startled awake and looked around the room in fear. You were in Belphie’s bed, your pajamas sticking to you with sweat. Belphie was looking at you with concern, one hand still on your shoulder.
“MC, you’re okay. It’s just me. It was just a nightmare.” You let out a sob and buried yourself in his arms while he patted you on the back until your breaths evened out.
“D-Did you see my dream?” you asked. You were nervous about showing Belphie that weak side of you, the insecurities that had been brewing since the two of you had begun a relationship. He looked apologetic. “I did. You were whimpering and shaking in your sleep. I wanted to make sure you were okay.”
He reached over, one hand smoothing your hair, the fingers of his other hand interlaced with yours. “None of what they said was true, you know.” You looked down, embarrassed. “I mean it, MC. You are good enough. You’re beautiful, you’re wanted, you deserve all the nice and beautiful things in the world, you’re strong. And most importantly, you lift others up. You lift me up everyday.”
He lifted up your hand and pressed a kiss against it. “You lifted me out of darkness. I love you so much. And I’ll gladly stay by your side, for as long as you’ll have me.”
You grabbed the front of his sweater to draw him into a rough kiss, lips bruising. “Forever, Belphie. Forever.”

Words: 3,181 Pairing: Daryl Dixon x Reader Reader pronouns: she/her Era: Alexandria, pre-Negan Warnings: language, references to deceased characters Summary: With her leg mostly healed, Y/N and Daryl finally venture out to make the trip to the spot where she and her brother Brian used to go. A/N: This is part of a series! You can find the previous parts on my Master List.
A/N: The "pilgrimage" location in this chapter is inspired by a real place I frequently hike to with MY dogs, who of course are inspiration for Strider and Bear. I took the above photos there. I hope you appreciate its beauty as much as I do! It's more spectacular that words or pictures do it justice.
Previous Chapter
Your name: submit What is this?
Daryl awoke to a chill draft on his cheek. His door, which had been closed but not latched, had been pushed open slightly and cold air was pouring in. He was immediately on edge, hurrying to his feet and collecting his knife from the side table. He grabbed his bow and slung it onto his shoulder and crept toward the door.
When he nudged it open more widely and peered into the main room of the cabin, he was hit with a wall of frigid air. The cabin door was standing wide open. He crossed the room and peered around the edge of the door frame. You were standing outside at the edge of the deck, your sweatpants bunched around the top of your boots, which you’d clearly shoved on haphazardly. You weren’t wearing a coat or a hat. Daryl sighed a little in relief that everything seemed to be silent and calm. He could see the dogs out at the edge of the trees, sniffing and bounding around in the snow.
He sheathed his knife and pulled his own boots on, neglecting to lace them, and adjusting the strap of his bow over his shoulder. He grabbed your coat and stepped out onto the deck, pulling the door shut behind him. You turned at the sound of his steps crunching on the patchy ice and snow.
“Hey,” he drawled, making his way over to you.
“Hi.” You tone was a little flat and your expression was pensive. Daryl draped your coat over your shoulders from behind, keenly aware of the feeling of your rounded shoulders beneath his fingers. You gripped it reflexively. “Thanks,” you murmured. But your eyes went right back out to staring up at the inky sky and wandering over the stillness of the surrounding woods.
Daryl moved to stand beside you and the dogs noticed and bounded back briefly to get some quick pets before returning to their exploration. His blue eyes drifted back to your face and he studied your profile; the curl of your eyelashes, the fullness of yours lips, and the graceful slope of your nose. He licked his lips a little nervously. “Ya alrigh’?” His breath rose in a lazy cloud above the two of you.
You nodded vaguely. “Yeah. I just—I couldn’t sleep. And the cold makes me feel—” you broke off, but Daryl finished it for you.
“Alive.”
You glanced back at him and met his blue eyes, nodding. “Yeah.” You glanced back up at the innumerable stars and it was silent for a moment. “I want to go to me and Brian’s place,” you said. “I need to…”
Daryl pulled his bottom lip in between his teeth and chewed it anxiously. But eventually he nodded. “Ya ready for that?”
Your hand went to your leg. Over the last few weeks, you’d gotten a lot of your strength and mobility back with Daryl’s help and encouragement. You knew the trip to the waterfall would probably completely tire you out, but you had to go. “I’m ready,” you said.
This was where you’d been going when you’d run into the grizzly bear. Daryl was sincerely hoping you didn’t want to go alone. Before he could ask or raise any concerns, you glanced back over at him.
“Will you come with me?”
Why did that seem to flare up some flame of warmth in his chest? He gulped nervously and nodded. “Course. If ya want me to.”
You nodded, your eyes flickering over his face. “I do.” There it was again. And this time it had a little tingle of electricity to it.
He managed to nod again. “Alrigh’.” He tilted his head back toward the door. C’mon. Let’s get ya back in where it’s warm. And see if we can’t catch some sleep before it’s light out.”
You complied, although somewhat hesitantly. With a whistle, the dogs came running back and soon you were all safely ensconced in the warmth of the cabin again. You made your way into the kitchen and Daryl stood in the doorway, watching as you placed the kettle on the stove to heat. You busied yourself in the pantry, looking at the options you had for tea. You sensed Daryl and glanced back at him.
“Ya ain’t gonna try to sleep?” he drawled.
You shrugged. “I couldn’t before. I don’t think I’ll be able to now.” You grabbed a jar of loose tea leaves you’d collected yourself; rose hips and wild blackberry leaves, yarrow and chamomile. Daryl watched you spoon some into a tea sachet. “But you shouldn’t let that stop you. You don’t need to worry about me, Daryl,” you said, giving him a small smile.
He nodded. “Yeah. I know… But—I could keep ya company for a bit,” he suggested, feeling a little bashful suddenly.
Your eyes seemed to smile at him this time and you nodded. “That would be nice. Do you want some tea?”
Soon the two of you were back in the main room, each wrapping your hands around hot. The cup looked small in Daryl’s hands and you smiled again as you settled onto the couch at the end opposite him. “I should have given you a bigger mug,” you said.
He glanced down at his drink. “S’alright. This way I’ll finish it before it gets cold.”
“Can I ask you something?”
His blue eyes caught yours. “Mhm.”
“Do you—do you have someone back in Alexandria? I mean—you know what I mean… Someone waiting for you?”
He looked surprised at the query but immediately shook his head. “Nah. I mean, my family, my group, is waitin’ but—I ain’t got anybody like that.” His heart fluttered nervously at the fact that you wanted to know. His mind whirred over why.
“Still. You must miss them.”
He nodded thoughtfully, chewing on his bottom lip. “Yeah. Hope everybody is alrigh’.” He seemed to shrink away into his thoughts for a moment.
You stared into your mug and tilted it so the deep red liquid swirled in the bottom. “I know I’ve already told you this, but I think what you’ve done—that you crossed almost the whole country to get here, alone, is… unbelievable.” You met his eyes again. “And I want you to know how much it means to me. I know how much it would mean to Brian.” Tears welled up in your eyes but you hurriedly blinked them away. Daryl was peering at you, his expression a little unreadable, but he nodded.
“It was important. To him and to me. All he wanted was to make sure ya were okay and not alone if ya didn’t wanna be.”
“Thank you,” you sighed.
A calm silence filled the room, except for the punctuated crackling of the fire in the grate, and at some point you did manage to slip off to sleep. Daryl covered you over with a blanket as gently as he could and retired into the room that had once been Brian’s to catch a little sleep himself.
_ _ _ _ _ _
“Ready?” you asked him. You were bundled in your warm winter gear and Daryl had just finished pulling his on and lacing up his boots. He stood up and nodded. “One more thing,” you said, opening the tall armoire beside the front door. You turned back to Daryl and held out a pair of snowshoes and trekking poles. “You’re going to want these.”
He accepted them with curiosity. “Ain’t ever snowshoed before,” he said, eyeing the gear.
“I assumed as much, Mr. Georgia. But trust me, you’ll be glad you have them. The snow gets pretty deep up here,” you said. You pulled another pair out of the closet. “Those ones were my dad’s.”
“Thanks,” he drawled. You smiled at him and tilted your head toward the cabin door.
Daryl followed you outside and watched you slip on the snow shoes. He copied your actions and followed you out onto the deep snow. Though he still sank in a little, there was a huge difference compared to his disastrous trip up the mountain in the blizzard, when he’d sunk knee deep or even waist deep in sudden drifts. The dogs bounded happily ahead of you and Daryl followed behind.
“Can—can I ask ya what happened to yer dad?” he drawled. “Brian said he was gone, but he never said more than that.”
You paused in your purposeful strides and glanced back at him over your shoulder, nodding slowly. “Yeah. He had a really hard time with his passing… Brian was already living in Georgia, in grad school, so he wasn’t here much really towards the end. My dad had a bad heart,” you explained. “Couldn’t get a transplant in time.” You hesitated for a moment. “Honestly though, I’m glad he was gone before… before everything went to shit.” You seemed to shrink away into yourself for a moment before you turned and started moving again.
“‘N yer mom—Brian said she died when you two were young still,” Daryl drawled.
You nodded, striding forward and watching the powder spray with your steps. “Yeah. We were ten. She had cancer. Almost destroyed my dad.”
Daryl suddenly realized maybe he shouldn’t be asking about your parents… maybe he was prying or dredging up painful memories you didn’t want to be thinking about. “Sorry, I—”
But you were already giving him a small smile and cutting off his apology. “Don’t be.”
He was silent for a moment and then he started a little quietly. “Ya know, I—I lost my mom too. When I was a kid,” he drawled.
Your expression was soft and a little sad as you looked back at him, a slight crease between your brows. “I’m sorry.”
He nodded. “Yeah… she wasn’t—wasn’t a great mom, but she was still my mom, ya know?”
You nodded again. “Of course.” Daryl ducked his head and you let the conversation drop. You started forward again.
The archer moved up beside you and allowed himself to truly notice the beauty of the surroundings. The hoarfrost was flaking from the trees in the bright sunshine, shimmering and glittering as it fell. An occasional gust of wind would blow the snow from the evergreens and send it floating or raining down, fracturing the sun into prisms in the air. He watched a few icy crystals land in your hair and catch on your knit hat. The puffs of your breath and his rose and drifted away, fading into the shockingly bright blue of the sky. There was an icy halo around the sun, but not a cloud in sight. Your cheeks and nose were kissed pink with the cold, and he admired how steadily you moved in your snowshoes. He felt clumsy in his, though the crunch of the snow beneath them was satisfying. The trees ahead seemed endless, and he marveled at the fact that you seemed to know exactly where you were going without consulting so much as a compass.
“I can see why ya like it out here,” he drawled.
You glanced over at him, one of your eyebrows quirking up. “Really? After your near-death experience I’m a little surprised. You’re not a fair-weather Southerner?” you asked with a growing smile.
He shrugged and scoffed a little. “Fair weather? Nah. S’pretty goddamn miserable when ya ain’t got air conditionin’…” He hesitated for a moment. “Or runnin’ water sometimes. And the mosquitoes are damn near as big as yer hand.” You laughed jovially. He was starting to have the insistent desire to make that happen whenever he could. He chewed on the inside of his cheek for a moment. “I dunno. Fall can be nice. Spent a lotta time in the woods and… fall is alrigh’,” he murmured thoughtfully.
You took in the pensive look on his face. You walked in companionable silence for about a mile until you pointed out a nearby rock outcropping, an important landmark for you in the area.
“How’s yer leg?” Daryl asked.
“It’s—maybe a little stiff but… I’ll make it,” you said. “Thanks in part to the best physical therapist for 500 miles,” you joked, shooting him a look. He scoffed and rolled his eyes.
“Yeah… I didn’t do nothin’. Yer the one who had to go through all the tough shit with gettin’ back on yer feet. I just made sure ya didn’t fall. Ain’t nothin’.”
You laughed, shaking your head, staring down at the layer of ice crusting on your snowshoes. “Yeah… yeah, that’s all you did,” you said sarcastically. “Did you forget that you rescued me out of the bathtub?” you laughed, your cheeks coloring a little red at the memory, heat flushing your face.
Daryl only gave you a nervous look and shrugged vaguely. He was honestly trying not to remember that.
You continued at a steady pace, talking about whatever popped in your head as you passed through areas that obviously held a lot of memories. Daryl listened intently to the story of the first elk you took with a bow and about when Brian had sliced his foot open on a rock when you were kids, the two of you running full speed through the woods barefoot, playing at adventurers trying to survive in the wild. It sounded like the kind of childhood Daryl wished he’d had… except, of course, for the loss of your mom. He noticed you didn’t talk about her much.
“We’re almost there,” you said suddenly. You stopped for a moment, vaguely running a hand over your leg, your eyes still fixed ahead.
“Doin’ alrigh’?”
“Hmm? Oh. Yeah. I’m good. Come on.” You pressed forward and Daryl followed. There was a distant sound, like a low roar and you stopped again, frozen, listening to it, an unreadable expression on your face. “Do you hear it?”
“Hmm?”
“The falls,” you said.
Daryl froze and listened too. He nodded. “Yeah. I hear it.”
“Come on. It’s just around this curve.” He let you go ahead, slowing his stride a little to fall back. He wondered if he should let you arrive there first or whether you wanted to be alone.
“Hey. I—I can hang back if ya—” he said suddenly.
You turned, one of your eyebrows quirking up in a question. “Hmm? No. Daryl… I want you to come. You know—” You caught yourself and squeezed your eyes shut for a moment. “You knew him. And he was obviously family to you too. It’s okay. I want you with me for this. I asked you here.”
The archer started forward again and the two of you curved around a bend in the trees. The frozen creek was off to the right under drifts and swells of snow and Daryl watched the dogs bounding ahead toward a low waterfall, partially frozen but with a rumble of glacial blue water pouring out from beneath the sculpted ice. You climbed a small rise toward the falls and Daryl followed, in awe at the serene beauty of the place he was looking at. He was nearly speechless. It almost slapped him in the face, how surreal this was, how different from anything he’d ever seen in his entire life. And part of him was realizing that despite all the hardships the trip had brought him, despite almost freezing to death in the fucking snow, he wished he could thank Brian. A funny thought struck him… had he known that some part of Daryl needed this?
Your eyes were fixed ahead, looking as deep as the pool beneath the waterfall, and just as cloaked in shadow for a long moment.
Daryl cleared his throat a little nervously. “I can see why ya always used to come here. I ain’t ever seen anything like this.”
You didn’t respond, but you shifted and Daryl noticed you reaching inside your coat. You pulled out a thermos and unscrewed the top, carefully pouring some of the steaming liquid into the cup and holding it out to Daryl.
You raised the thermos toward him and he noticed that you had tear streaks on your cheeks. “To Brian,” you said, though your throat was tight and it came out a little weak.
“Brian,” Daryl said, another wave of intense guilt washing over him... that he didn’t save him, that he couldn’t. He watched you raise the thermos to your lips and drink deeply from it. He took an exploratory sip from his cup and was surprised at the unexpected burn in the back of his throat. “Shit…” he murmured. “Wasn’t expectin’ that.”
You’d wiped your cheeks with the back of your mitten. “Sorry. I should have warned you. It’s a hot toddy.”
“A what?”
“Whiskey, honey, lemon, and hot water.”
“Hmm,” Daryl hummed, staring back down into the cup. “Ain’t bad.” He took another drink and this time he felt the warmth run all the way into his belly. It seemed to flare outward into his chest.
You threw down your trekking poles and took off your snowshoes, sitting down carefully on a nearby rock, extending your stiff leg out in front of you a little gingerly. A sigh escaped you and you took another drink. Daryl thought your cheeks were already looking rosier. Strider was standing at the edge of the deep pool, wading in the shallows, pawing at something beneath the crystal-clear surface. There was a frosty crust of ice on his chest and belly as well as around his muzzle from his breath. Bear was sniffing around in the snow, occasionally plunging his entire head and front legs beneath a drift and emerging awash in the fluffy white powder.
His thoughts were suddenly interrupted when you sighed. He turned to find your eyes already on him.
“I’m ready,” you said. “As ready as I can be anyway.” You took another drink from the thermos and angled your body toward him, your hand going to your leg again. “Will you tell me how—how he died?”
Daryl’s stomach tightened into a hard pit and he gulped. “Are ya sure?”
You nodded, your eyes already a little glassy. “Yeah. I’m sure.”
Daryl gulped nervously and nodded. You deserved to know. And he’d promised to tell you… He just—he wasn’t sure how you’d take it. He’d been the one to lead the run. He’d been the one to choose the team. He’d been the one to send Brian right to the spot where he’d gotten killed. Daryl wondered whether everything would be different between you after you knew…

The pink and orange was reflected as you looked out the window . The clouds looking like they came out of a painting along with the man next to you. The smoke coming from the back of the car to you as you inhaled the comforting scent, hearing tsumu and suna arguing over who got it next.
Your gaze turned to him. Eyes lingering on his hands gripping the wheel, his arm taking up all the space on the console as you wanted to so desperately hold onto his hand, so warm and comforting as the dirty thoughts rushed into your head.
You softly shook your head, suna tapping you on the shoulder asking you if you wanted a puff, shaking your head again before tsumu said “you should've drove so aran could smoke.”
“Ay, shut it.” Suna replied, slapping him on the back of his head, as you heard him groan and apologize.
“It's fine, we still got the whole night.” his warm gentle voice let out. The way you pouted “don’t wanna drive.” when you all went out, looking up at him with your puppy dog eyes, immediately saying “ok”.
You took your place in the passenger seat, as usual, grabbing the aux with tsumu quickly whining “fuck no!” because you always played some indie love songs while he was tryna listen to travis scott.
“What?… Valentine's day is tomorrow, lemme get in the mood. Don't you have a girlfriend, you should understand.” which successfully shut him up for the time remaining.
It was obvious he doted on you, but they just put it to the back of their head because they did it too. But suna knew what was up, even letting it slip to samu, saying that the way your eyes lit up around him and the way he held you close definitely meant y’all were atleast fucking.
Which was right.
And he confirmed it when he walked into the same bathroom that he ‘saw’ your legs wrapped around his friend through the crack.
Mumbling out an “oops” as he was about to close the door before he saw you crying, his big brother side coming out as he decided to open the door fully, sitting next to you.
He understood what was going on as you let it all out while he waited with you, luckily finding out that the test was negative as you finally calmed down, and he kept his word keeping it a secret.
Your eyes turned form the darkening sky to him. His vision was on the road as pulled onto the exit to drop them off. His cool eyes, so formal, contrasting his appearance. The heat in your body rising as your eyes never left him.
Thinking about how it started after one night when you were a little tipsy, seeing girls all over him as they took his precious, well-needed attention from you. Your tiny brain grasping how attractive he was from this perspective as a man and not a ‘friend’ while you watched his teeth shine though his smile
Admiring his glowing skin under the dimmed lights and his tall big frame towering over yours was all you needed to get on your tiptoes and put your lips on his, the taste of the chapstick being engraved in you memory. It not taking long for his hands to wrap around your waist, picking you up and taking you to the guest room leaving you bedridden for the next day.
Fortunately it wasn't uncomfortable the next morning as you put it in your head, “its only awkward if you make it” . Waking up with a headache, recognizing the bed as his from the times you studied here in highschool. The sheets holding you back as you were borderline tucked in, finally freeing yourself letting them fall off, being stark naked in his room already feeling the pain grown in your tummy.
You just sat on the edge of his bed, holding the sheet to your chest warming your cold body waiting for him to come back. And on queue he walked in, only in his grey sweatpants hugging him just right, trying not to ogle him as he walked up to you, stroking your forehead before handing you an advil.
“You okay?”  He asked, wondering if he was talking about your physical or emotional state.
You let out a forced giggle, “yeah”, trying to lighten the mood as you tired to calm your nerves.
The words “wanna do this again?” slipped past your lips, not realizing you would regret this, falling for him quicker than any other man you've been with. Not knowing just the sight of him would make your knees weak and tremble, not knowing the pain of never being able to take it further.
Not knowing that you’d be crying over him every time you left. Always being a reminder that you were just a ‘plaything’ and he could cut you off at a moment’s notice.
He grinned back, lips turning up as he leaned on his hands to get closer to you “Well... you on birth control?”
You all got out of his car, chatting a little before they left getting on the train. The words “love you” leaving his lips, voicing it in a friendly way after saying goodbye, and even though it wasnt directed at just you still made your heart race.
You had no claim over him besides the marks you left, the indent being printed skin deep as your nails dug in his flesh. The only remains of the nights you’ve spent together. Waving goodbye as he walked back to you, just you two alone now, the way you wanted it.
“You wanna spend the rest of the day with me princess?” Already knowing the answer from the way you were squirming under his touch as he smirked, bending down into your ear, his hand resting on your side.
You leaned in for a kiss before quickly pulling away, dragging him to the car with a giddy smile on your face. Wanting him to feel as neglected as you were right now; so what if you havent got rawed for three days, it was a long time when you had someone like him doing it.
“Missed you daddy” you mumbled into his ear, your tone of voice changing to soft and sweet just around him as he started the car, longing to be touched as you clung onto his rough hands that were so soft on you.
His lips hovering over yours, dragging them in as his breath touched yours. “Missed you too baby”. His grip on your hand got tighter, bringing it down to his crotch. “Look what you did to me pretty girl. You know what you're doing with that little pout on your face.”
Your smile was the brightest it had been all day, hearts in your eyes as he drove back to his place, his hand covering yours on your thigh, fingers reaching far past yours as you felt them gripping you, inching closer and closer to your needy little cunt.
Not wasting any time getting inside as you started stripping the instant he closed the door behind him. Throwing off the heavy sweater keeping you warm, pushing him down on his bed as you moved your body, feeling it up in the pretty lingerie you wore just for today.
“I know you love to show off.” he muttered as you bent over, shaking your ass is his face while he was leaning back admiring his view. “But c'mere sweet girl.”
You did as you were told and almost skipped up to him, wrapping your arms around him. Holding his face in your chest as he started placing wet open mouthed kisses on every inch of skin he saw.
“jiro, please.” you whined out after your neck was sore from all the attention it was getting, wanting to direct it somewhere else.
“you want daddy’s dick that bad, princess?”
Just the lewd tease of his voice had your pussy clenching, no shame left in your body as you reached out for him, your newly done nails gently grabbing onto the collar of his shirt. Grip tight as ever, your body so tense from trying to hold self back.
“So impatient baby, you got me for the rest of the night, m’not going anywhere.” He chuckled at your greedy little hands making their way up his shirt. Your lips met his again as his hands gripped onto your ass, sliding his fingers under your panties.
“Wanna make you feel good.” you whispered into his mouth, heart racing as his hands made their way up to your lower back, leaning into him. “Wanna make you cum.” He stopped his hands where they were, his clear eyes meeting yours, face having no shame in sight.
“fuck, baby.” he groaned, his tounge sliding into you mouth, your lips getting more angry at his biting while you palms were running down his to his cock. Your tiny hands wrapping around it though his boxers, running through his head if you knew how filthy you looked right now.
You pulled them down, whimpering at the sight of it already so hard, wrapping your hand around his cock as much as you could, the precum acting as lube. Using both your hands as you started moving them, looking straight at his face to see if you were doing a good job.
“Fuck, you're such a good girl.” he said, his hands resting on your back as you puckerd you lips letting spit fall onto his fat head, knowing he loved how slopy you got him. His breath choking as you moved one of your hands down, caressing his balls. “my good girl.”
Your wrist getting heavier with each stroke, trying so hard to keep it going because his moans were so heavenly. And the way his cock was throbbing and twitching against your palm only made you grow slicker. Wanting to do your best to prove that you could take care of him, that you were the only one he needed.
“stay there, s’okay i got you.” His hand wrapped around yours, engulfing it completely as he started using yours, moving it up and down, his eyelashes fluttering as he could barely keep them open as you count help but stare, wondering what did you do to deserve a man like him.
His groans weren’t helping your situation too while he was guiding your hands faster as you could tell he was getting closer, squeezing your palm a little tighter with all the drive you had left until he came, thick white ropes being spread onto both your hands.
Your thighs clenched around his, almost coming with him as a little whine escaped. Eyes rolling back as you grinded against him, leading his big hand up to your mouth, sucking it in as you licked around his dirty fingers. “Fuck youre so wet”
You adjusted yourself, now laying on the bed as you were trying to calm down, leaving you legs open as you twithced under his gaze. “Was thinkin bout you daddy... couldn't help it”
He groaned as his hand moved toward your ankles, holding them up in the air with his strong arms as he rubbed your swollen nub with his free one. Your cries and moans being music to his ears  whiel your pretty body was bouncing under him as his fingers worked their way up into your cunt, you walls pliant around him as you let him abuse your clit, unconsciously letting out lewd sounds.
Your voice is cut as he lets go of them, diving his head right back in kissing your clit. Fucking his fingers back into you, angling them to hit your g spot, the rule in the back of his head that he had to make you come more than him taking over.
You should be embarrassed how he has you legs spread open with the sound of your wetness, but you aren't, empty of every thought except of him making you feel good.
He knows how you like the feeling of him curling into you after fucking you so many times, knowing eachothers bodies inside and out, but something he can never catch onto is when you squirt.
Always coming as a surprise to him and you. Not knowing what causes it, from it being him bottoming out, to just whispering dirty shit into ear while fingering your cunt. But he loves the look of relief painted on your face, the shame being long gone as you could only feel pleasure with him.
Your mind goes white, orgasm rushing into you while you tried to push his chest away with your feet. Sobbing as his fingers didn't stop, body thrashing. It felt so good, your daddy always making you feel so good.
But he just kept  going, fucking them into you even harder while his tounge flicked up and down on your clit, making you come harder and harder each time, resulting in a mess all over his chest and the sheets beneath you two.
Your blurry vision made out his handsome face, body soaked from you slick, both of you catching your breath as he wiped your eyes before kissing you, knowing how bad you wanted it.
Yes, it was a rule at first that you two wouldn't kiss, or do anything else too intimate, but that went out the window the night he was fucking you chest to chest, forehead to forehad, neither of you being able to resist the urge to connect them. And it hasn't caused any problems, yet.
He pulled back, taking in your appearance, still so needy, Your body adapting to his, as you could last for more than a few rounds now. “What you want doll, gotta tell me.” He looked with lust in his eyes as he waited for the answer, spreading your lips open watching the mess drip out of you.
“Fuck me, please, jiro,” you choked cathing the tears in your mouth, as he was quick to give you want youwanted, after your pretty voicedbegged for it, replacing his fingers with his cock. Resting it on your cunt, slapping your it on your clit a few times to see you squirm before placing his tip inside you.
“daddy s’too big” you whined as you bit down on one on of the fingers you put in your mouth, trying not to wince. You would've thought your cunt would've followed along with the rest of your body, but even when you were a soaking mess it still barely fit.
“Aww baby, but you're dripping so pretty for me, you gonna take it like a big girl?” Your eyes rolling back as he shoved it in more, pushing it back far enough to have you whimpering.
“fuck, sweetheart, so tight,” he groaned with your face in his neck while he was trying to ease you into him. Your whines getting more vulgar by the second, body finally taking him whole as his cock was kissing your cervix.
You wished you hadn't slept with those other guys trying to fill your void, them not even being close to getting you off, just wanting to feel someone's. Not knowing you prince charming was right in front of you all this time.
Did you regret the guy you lost your virginity to? no. Was he a bad person? no. Did he fuck you right...no. But at least you were slightly experienced, wanting to do your best to please him. Worried that he'd get tired of you one day and find someone else.
But he made you feel it all over again, the way his cock stretched you out as he gently worked his way into you. His vision shaking as his thrusts get rougher, your trembling arms reaching up for him as he just ignores them.
“My sweet girl sounds so pretty when they're getting fucked.” he muttered holding back a groan, his thrusts getting faster as he knocked the breath out of you along with the word “my”. The possessive claim had your mind spinning while your hands gripped onto his skin so tight you know you leave a mark, not wanting to let him go.
“You love this cock?” You could feel him say against your breath, the soft vibrations of his lips catching your moans as you brushed your lips against his.
It didn't take you a lot to admit it, a “-yeah”, quickly escaping from your dry lips, covered in spit, a mix of his and yours soothing them.
“You love the way i'm splitting you open, pretty girl?”
Getting overwhelmed by the pleasure, your emotions grew with it not being unusual for you to cry while he was fucking you.
Of course you loved the way you could barely take his cock, the way just looking at it made you mind go hazy. Your legs shaking as you didnt care about trying to control them anymore.  You loved the way that you were the only one who could make him feel this good, doing you best to maintain it that way.
“Yeah, fuck..L-love you “ you sobbed out, fat tears running down your face, not even registering in your brian what you said until you noticed he stopped his movement. It clicking after his eyes turned from hazy to clear, his expression in shock, only visible to you after all this time you've spent together.
“Fuck” you muttered, tears falling even more as you tried to move your limp body away from him. But he held you still, not pulling out, trapping you as your eyes grew wetter and wetter, nose sniffing from embarrassment.
“What’d you say?,” he asked, moving his body away from you. The feeling of disgust rising in you, hating yourself for letting those words fall from your mouth. The way he pulled away made you crumble, bringing your hands up to your face trying to hide the best you could.
Throat closing, your dry eyes swelling again, “m’sorry … fuck, i didn’t mean to say that aran.”
“hey....angel, look at me.” He said, stalling. Not knowing exactly what to do but wipe your tears, not wanting to see his precious baby upset, breaking his heart to see you so distraught. He stopped after you finally calmed down enough, his thumb still stroking your cheek as he moved your jaw to look up at him.
“Say it again.”
“Wha-” He pressed his lips against yours, “tell me that again, fuck baby. You drive me crazy, you don't know what you do to me. I haven’t been with anyone since we started fucking.”
Your eyes red as your face slightly twisted in confusion, too tired to express itself fully. “Don't cry.” he whispered, foreheads close again. “it's okay, I got you.”
“C’mon baby, just tell daddy what you want and i'll give it to you.” he said, edging you on, wanting to prove it to you in the only way he could.
“w-want...you daddy” you mumbled after some time, wiping your eyes as your head was still tuned into your arm.
“Good girl” he muttered. “I'll make it all better.” his hand wrapping around the back of your neck to keep your eyes on him. “all you have to do is cum on my cock, you can do that for me, right?”
“yes, daddy." the only words to leave your lips as you try to be on your best behavior, knowing that bad girls didn't get daddys dick or get to cum.
“still so tight, bunny.” He said, pushing himself into you again, lips besides your ear wanting to let you know good you made him feel. “already creaming on daddy’s cock”
“Who’s is this baby?” The question sinks into you along with his hands as his fat cock is splitting you open, his thumb tracing circles on your clit. Face flushed with a newfound pride growing along with the burning feeling under your skin. “Yours jiro, belongs to you daddy.”
“That's my good girl,” he cooed, kissing you open mouthed on your lips, lingering there before he pulled away. Your heart swooning at the affection and attention. He still fucks into you hard, his hands feeling up every inch of skin on your body, stopping at your soft tits, pinching your nipple as you whined out.
“Look at you,” he huffed out, “Brain not working huh? You like my cock that much, sweet girl?”
“Y-yeah, like it... like you” you mumbled out, your words being slurred as you feel the heat rise with every stroke.
“I know sweetheart. Is that why you’re drooling all over the place? Does it feel that good, bunny? Having my cock inside you?” he smirked as a groan escaped his lips, slowing down making sure to hit every spot.
He drags out of your throbbing cunt so painfully slow, forcing you to feel every inch of him. His hips angling different, fucking you rough as thrusts back in just as slow, teasing. He pulls you closer, his cock pressing against your cervix
“Yeah, daddy loves you and this tight little pussy too.” His deep warm voice making you melt, your cries growing more erratic after every word left his lips.
“Jiro, daddy wa- wanna come… together” you sniffled out, swearing you could feel the tip of his cock against your womb.
“Yeah baby? You sound so pretty wanting me to stuff you full.” Your parted lips, eyes struggling to remain open, letting out silent moans as he was taking it all in, his ego rising knowing that he was the one who had made you like this.“don’t worry, sweet girl, daddys gonna take care of you, as always. just lay there pretty.”
“Ple-, p-please.” you begged, voice trembling, tears rolling down your cheeks as you clung onto him. He brought your legs up and pushed them towards your chest, folding you in half, as you tried to find a new place to place your hands.
“Wanna- cum, ple” you hiccuped, nodding off into the kiss. Mind in a whole new world body going limp again as he grabbed your arms and wrapped them around his neck hanging on there, wrists stuck together as his head is so close to yours.
He’s mumbling out some nonsense as you can feel him starting to throb inside of you, kissing up your neck until he’s tugging on your lips.“You gonna cum again, give me one more?”
You can’t even respond, letting out some deformed moan, because if it wasn't obvious your pussy belongs to him, you belonged to him.
You came together, feeling his cum rush into you nonstop, so hot. His cock jerking inside your soft body. Keeping his eyes on you loving how your thighs twichted and fluttered, his hand resting on your back arching as you let out your final cries.
You feel so weightless, the only thing keeping you grounded is his hands on you, his mouth on your cunt, not even realizing he pulled out, licking it up wanting to show you how pretty the mess you made was.
He comes back up to you, knowing that you wanted to be kissed and coddled as your emotions were foggy. Opening your lips with his thumb, his tongue covered in your cum making its way inside your mouth as you easily accepted it. His hands wrapped around your jaw as he finally broke free.
Your whole body was sensitive, so sore after being with him but this time even more, whining as he laid you beside him snuggling into his arm. He just chuckled, before giving you a gentle hug, already tired.
“You wanna wash up?”
You hide your face in his arm, using the cool feeling of the room as an excuse.“no, dont pull out.”
His laugh was soft as he turned you two onto the side so he could face you. “You’re so spoiled.”
“I wasn't lying earlier… I, love you.” He said, the weight on his chest feeling burdensome that he made you feel like this for so long. You stopped moving completely along with the hand resting on his chest. You turned and looked into his eyes.
“Well, why the hell did you say anything!” you pouted as you turned your messy worn out head towards his.
His mouth opening to apologise but you got to him before he could get a word out, kissing him so hard, that he couldn't breath. Your body now on top of his, your whimpers from his cock nudging inside thinking he’s being eaten alive, never wanting something more.
You finally give up as he turns disgustingly sweet, cupping your cheeks as he keeps pecking your entire face, staring at you like you were the only thing in the world, making you breath hitch. “I love you, too.”
“Baby?” he asks quietly after you two just laid there for what felt like hours. His hand tracing patterns all over you from your neck down to your back. “You here?”
“Yeah” you lied groaning out as you rubbed your eyes that you could already tell were swollen.
You looked up at him, his hand pulling your head into his chest, realizing he must've put the blanket over you two, feeling so comfy again that you were nodding off. “Hold on baby, lemme ask you something.” he chucked out sttoking your forehead
“Wanna be my valentine?”
You nod the fastest you have your entire life, a fat smile appearing on your face as you hid into the comforter as he let you cling to him all night, never being able to say no to you.  You breathing growing quieter and quieter until he can barely hear it, and that's when he can finally rest too. You loved him and he loved you.

Onas paced inside his cell, the enchanted chain attached to his ankle clinking behind him noisily. His hooves clicked heavily on the dirty cement floor.
'Where the fuck is my brother?' His mind roared. Logan had taken Brilom well over an hour ago. This couldn't be good. His little brother was so defenseless.
Onas looked out from the bars of his cell, a few feet out of reach from them. He could see the lightbulb flicker in the hallway, agitating his sensitive vision.
The door at the end of the hall clicked open.
Logan walked in, his smug smile bolder than ever. He had a leash in hand- smooth genuine leather. Onas' heart twisted as he saw his brother dragged in on his knees. Several gauze bandages were draped across his body, soaking up the deep red blood. Onas noticed as they got closer that Brilom was dripping with water.
"Logan," Onas snarled, tugging at the end of his chain. His stupid, unbreakable chain. He set his feirce gaze on the man, gritting his teeth.
"Oh, Onas!" Logan gushed, tugging Brilom behind him. The smaller boy struggled to keep up. "Won't you look at my pet? I think I did it!"
Onas kept his voice level and slow, his fingers twitching into fists. "Did what, Logan?"
"You know you're supposed to call me Master." Logan's eyes narrowed with anger, then melted back into their natural smugness. "My pet knows for sure~"
The cell door, just out of Onas' reach, opened and Logan led Brilom inside, unclipping the leash from his collar.
Onas' heart dropped and his mind clouded with loathing for Logan. Brilom's head was down, his wet hair a curtain hiding his face. He was silent, unmoving.
"Logan, what did you do to him?" Onas didn't try to keep the hate from his voice this time, yanking uselessly against the chain.
"I broke it! After all this training, I finally did it!" Logan grinned, nudging Brilom's flank with the tip of his boot. "Pet, sit."
"He's not just gonna-" Onas cut off, mouth still open. Brilom dropped back into a kneeling position. His back was straight and his hands gripped his thighs.
"Yes, Master." Brilom's voice was a hoarse whisper. Onas couldn't see his face with his head still bowed.
"Chin up, Pet. Show your brother how good you are." Logan grabbed a handful of Brilom's hair, tugging it back. "Tell him."
Brilom held his head high, looking right into Onas' eyes. "I'm a good pet."
"Brilom-" Onas whispered, his whole body going cold. His brother's eyes were usually hazy due to his partial blindness but this- this was different. They were hopeless now, blank of any other emotion.
"Pet, go crawl to your brother. You two can relax together." Logan flicked his hand, letting go of his hair.
Brilom dropped back to his hands and knees, crawling within Onas' reach.
Immediately, Onas dropped to his brother's level. He pulled the drenched boy against his chest, squeezing.
"Brilom..." He pressed his forehead to the back of his brother's head breifly. "You're okay. I'm never gonna let him take you again."
"Oh, I'll take it whenever I want to." Logan grinned from the doorway.
"My brother," Onas growled, "is not an it."
Logan laughed a sick, mocking laugh. "Yes it is. And it is my pet. Which means I own it and can do with it what I please."
"He is not an it! He is a living, breathing satyr. If you even think that you-"
"It's an it." Brilom's small voice said. He was crying now. Everything went still for a moment. "It is master's pet, and it'll-" Brilom took a shaky breath. "-it will do anything its master asks it to."
"Brilom, you can't mean that!" Onas cried.
His brother shook his? Its? head. Onas turned his attention to Logan, who was standing outside the cell now. The door was still wide open.
"You know he can't fight back, you sick fuck! What did you do to him?"
Logan grinned. "Oh, you wanna see? I suppose ill have you watch the tape tomorrow morning. For now, I must go." Logan glanced at the open door, then back at Onas' chain. "I'll leave the door open, I think.
Pet, you will not leave this cell until I tell you to. If I find out you did, we'll do another round of water torture, alright? We don't want that, now do we?"
"I'll stay right here, master." Brilom assured, his already weak voice wavering in fear. Onas felt the other satyr shiver against him. "I'll be good."
"You aren't gonna take him." Onas growled.
Brilom jolted, hands flying up to grip the shock collar. The smaller satyr let out an anguished bleat as electricty ran through both of them.
"Every time you refer to it as a 'he,' I'm shocking it." Logan waved Brilom's collar's remote around. "I have cameras posted everywhere. Do what you think is best for it, alright?"
As Logan's nice boots clicked down the hallway, Onas loosened his grip on Brilom. As soon as the door at the end of the hall shut, he nudged Brilom forwards.
"This is your chance to escape," he urged, squeezing his sibling's hand. "Go. Don't look back. I'll find my way to you."
Brilom didn't move. "It can't go. Master told it to stay."
Onas could've cried. "You- you're really-" He turned Brilom to face him. "If you go home, you could go back to normal life. Doesn't that sound nice? You could see Mom again?"
"But- Master told it to stay. It wants- it needs to be good... it doesn't want Master to drown it again..." Brilom looked up at Onas with those sad, blue eyes.
"Oh, buddy..." Onas whispered. "You- you really want to be called an it?"
Brilom nodded. "Yes. It's an it now. Please."
"Fine. If it gets you from being hurt like that... you're still my brother though, okay?"
Brilom nodded, collapsing into Onas's chest in a sobbing heap. Onas wrapped his big arms around him- it and closed his eyes.
Only when it fell asleep did Onas let himself cry, nose pressed to the top of its head. Onas wouldn't let his sibling see him like this, not now.

Best Of Me| Two
Tumblr media
Pairings : →ot7 x reader, poly!BTS x reader
Genre : → vampireau, yandere!au, age gap, gore, obsessive behavior, ddlg/caregiver, poly, fantasy, supernaturals
summary : It’s quite unusual to find a little baby on your doorstep, especially that their area was not of the poorest - you could say that a vampire town was efficient with money and snobby creatures. However over time the first idea of just giving back the little girl seems more and more radical and those moody vampires slowly start perceiving deeper feelings to human they even wanted to kill.

Cries everywhere. Sobbing so loud that all the birds disappeared from their little birdhouse outside the window. And as funny the view was, a big ball of stress and nerves started collecting itself in the rather calm manor. Reason of all this mess was just one, so easy to notice.
“Jungkook!” Just like a ball of nerves now the big ball of dirty blankets and clothes hit the young vampire, making him stumble a little. Obvious disgust on his face with a piece of distaste on his tongue which just a second ago had been caused by the same thing he now fisted in his hands.
“You didn’t have to throw it at me!” Barked Jungkook staring at the broad shoulders of his oldest brother. Child now a little calmer, however still sobbing slightly, keeping the atmosphere at bay.
“You have brung the kid so you will hold the things he made. Be happy that I'm not forcing you to change the diaper instead.”
Disgust on all of their faces is now being something normal, having kids in the same room as them, definitely does not go well with hundred years old vampires. The only one without a gag reflex seems to be Seokjin, acting like a pro mother, just after her 3rd pregnancy with the next on the road. However all of them agreed with the statement that it was all but Jungkook's fault, which came with consequences for said boy.
Thus now sitting on the couch, five of the ramaing vampires, looked with a bored expression at the panicked and nearly vomiting jungkook. Youngest of them always had a soft stomach, never being the one to clean after disasters, forcing people to basically clean after him, and maybe that's why all of them felt such a satisfaction upon them while staring at the shitty situation.
Literally shitty.
Stumbling a little from the intense smell, Jungkook started to try getting rid of the used diaper in his hands, holding it with his fingers dingling it as far from his face as he could. Maybe the smelly object was not the only thing that should be named like a feces, knowing that a person who should just throw the diaper away, purposefully walked closer than intended to a couch with older vampires, stumbling not that accidentally and making the thing in his hand fly straight to a lap of a reading Namjoon.
A moment of silence, only lasting for a short second. Namjoon was never the one to shout or get mad, rather prefering to act calm and well put together, believing in a peace making and solutions not requiring usage of violence but when the heavy baggage on his lap suddenly started to warm his lap, he completely crushed his persona as well as book in his hands.
“Ups...hehe.” Jungkook laughed awkwardly, knowing well his fate. Doe eyes looked at the tall man, standing a little farther than him, just behind the couch. Jaw tightened so were the hands, keeping the last strings of calmness that were floating on very dangerous water.
“Listen, before you actually do something think of the time when you destroyed my ps4 and
I did not even complain.” Hands just before him similar to the way you would to with a wild animal, and in Jungkook's opinion, it was not that far from the truth, observing how Namjoons jaws nearly crushed from the tension.
“Okay okay, we all need to calm down, It was just an accident.” Cut in red head, standing in the middle of the war zone. It was stupid idea, definetly not the brightes of the sunny vampire, even if it came from the good intentions. Hoseok, just like an innocent child that got stuck in a big people argument, was the one that got hurt in the end.
And everybody knew that when Hoseok gets mad it's the extremity that anyone in this room is scared to experience once again. There is silent agreement between the rest of the brothers that was made after one of Hoseok's outburst, promising that no matter what the devil can’t come out.
The apple of discord laying now upon redhead’s feet, innocent like a little kitten that just waits to be petted, but in this case it wasn neither a fluffy ball of fur and definitely not something that should be touched.
Silence so loud, banging in their ears with an uneven breath. Second after second, rest that were not included in the middle, counted sitting on their heels with nerve wracking feelings. They stared as Hoseok’s shoulders rose and went down with each puff of air from his flared nostrils, neither of them dared to move, preferring to stay in a safe zone.
Just as red headed one wanted to take his first kill, a loud laugh echoed in a room, coming from a little child in Seokjin's arms, that probably just came back from being cleaned up. A fresh smile on its face, eyes sparkly looking straight at the scene.
“What are you doing, idiots?” Asked Seokjin, a visible vein on his forehead, sticking out under his free hand that now pinched a bridge of his nose. His eyes catching a glimpse of the used diaper, right on his favorite carpet. “You had one thing to do, one thing Jungkook.”
“It was an accident I swear on my ps4!” He tried explaining, shaking his arms. Seokjin saw to much lived too long to believe it, everybody knew it but even than they acted like bunch of idiots when something like this happen.
“Namjoon destroyed it, you said it yourself.” Spoke Jimin, sitting on a couch with a happy smile, pleased with himself. Younger's head immediately halted in his way, a look of betrayal on his face.
“You midge…”
“I don’t care, just clean it up, in the meantime me with the little snack are going to cook something, right my little cutie?” Cuted the older while caressing the child in his arms, turning his voice in a baby one. And just like this the scene came to the same point, the only difference was that neither Namjoon or Hoseok were in the room, probably running away as fast as Sekojins came.
Jungkook sighed, squatting down to take care of the said thing. Again the disgust and a feeling of nausea hitted him with a side giggles of his blonde haired brother.
Going into the kitchen he spotted the child that looked at him as soon as he appeared. Little smile and sweet laugh, making him soft and mushy for a while.
“I hope you know that you gave us a big problem with bringing a human child there.” Seokjin spoke, not looking from a cutting board, himself to immersed in said action
Jungkook knew, earlier thinking of it like a mere action, something that they can get rid of as fast as a lollipop wrapper. But it was not, and now looking at the kid, he realized how his careless behaviour could weigh down not only on his family but the whole society of vampires.
“I’m-”
“Don’t just apologize, we need to take care of it as fast as we can, in the meantime doing everything to not harm it. If someone finds out it’s going to be a bigger problem, probably even straining the relationship with human - and that’s something we do not want.” Cuted older, in the end turning around pointing the sharp knife on Jungkook.
It was true, the delicate stattlement between those two societies is still new, fresh and hot, ready to burn anyone's fingers, anyones who is to carless. The today is a better world, something that all of the brothers know, remembering dark times - some of them being not older than mere hatchling then. World was a dangerous place to live in, vampires hunting humans, humans hunting vampires, a competition that never got settled, and they hope it never will.
“Try feeding it and come to the living room after you are done. We will discuss the next actions - good luck.” A little wink at the end, Seokjin wiped his hands off on the way patting the younger's back, harder than normally.
“Wait what?! You are not being serious right now, right?” Asked confused Jungkook, fastly turning around to an already disappearing figure. Cold sweat on his body as he looked at the smooth face of the older, that defended a flying kiss to his shocked self. “Why can’t you do it?”
“I can. But the human seems to take a liking to you.” And how absurd it sounded, the baby really looked at Jungkook like some god, sparkly eyes always following his bigger figure.
“Seokjin! Don’t leave me please, I can’t do it.”He whined, looking for the said man, to his luck he was nowhere to be found. It was going to be alright - he tried to believe in those words now clutching baby spoon, that he was sure they did not have, and a mashed food, looking more like dog food than actual meal.
His Eyes staring right into the sparkly and to obnoxious happy, making him even more irritated. In the end, Jungkook hated little children, being and acting like one himself
Little hands stretching towards him with a toothless smile on the side, getting bigger as Jungkook came closer. That was it, taking a big breath he come to the other side of the table - almost touching the stool where the human sat. Ready and determined to get the task done, treating it similar to a quest in the game, he took the little spoon with some of the smashed food, and started to get closer to the child's mouth.
And as the brothers again started to live their normal life, thinking that at least for now, everything is settled, a very obvious squeal shook the while house.
“HYUNG!...IT WANTS TO TOUCH ME! GET IT AWAY, GET IT AWAY!”
___
All of them now sitting on the couches and armchairs, taking nearly all of the space. Some of the observing the crawling baby with prominent couriousty some of them with disgust even fear, not knowing what future the baby will bring.
Namjoon although feeling the little distaste, knew or better had a plan with what to do.
Smile on his lips not reaching his eyes, however stumbling on the way of eye contact with some of his brothers.
“Okay so, definitely we need to do something with...this.” Said Jimin, look on his face full of distress and disgust resting on the child, that as if it knew of Jimin’s attention looked back full of giggles and reaching hands.
“That is obvious, we can’t keep human child.” Barked Yoongi, the one which rather prefered to stay quiet in those metters.
“Jungkook should take care of it, It’s not my fault he is to stupid to not question a left human on a doorstep.” Smug smile now on Jimin's face, as he gave the side glance to the said male, happy with triggering the younger temper.
“As If you woul…”
“Okay we get it Jimin, it was Jungkook's fault, but still it can affect us all, so try to be at least a little bit helpful or shut up” Interrupted Seokjin staring at both of them in turn. The oldest obviously tired of all of the drama, massaging his scalp, to relieve the tension a little. “Let's start one by one, any ideas?”
Silence, a loud silence throwing the tension to the already burning fire. Seokjin's vein once again appeared on his forehead, making Jungkook nearly knock from a terrifying sight of it. It was pulsating, green and bumpy.
“Maybe let’s put it back?” Asked the quiet voice, Sekojin ready to snap at the stupid idea thinking that some of the youngers don’t know limit of the unfunny jokes, only to find innocent eyes of Hoseok.
“That’s … well that is AN option, thank you Hoseok - keep it up. Any other ideas?” Seokjin’s hands molded into a thump, giving the tired smile to Hoseok, knowing of his still busing nerves.
“Why are we even trying so hard, throw it away i say.” Jimin mumbled while staring at the little child going his way, quickly putting his feet on the couch, scared of a chance of being touched by the human.
Tired sight left mouth of the olders, his vein fading a little - to Jungkook luck, and his hands now clenching his blonde lock. He was helpless, disappointed in his brother's ideas and intelligence. He was sure that, that was indeed an end, his family will be arrested for keeping human, and vampires are going to lose a peace they fighted for.
Everything because Jungkook wanted to take unfamiliar child to their house.
“What about the orphanage that opened like one month ago, can’t we just leave it there?” Cuted Namjoon, making everyone snap their head. Seokjin nearly crying, wanting to kiss his brother as much as choke him for his slow process of thinking.
“Couldn’t you say earlier?!

A/N: Sweet little Feedback Anon, I took your suggestion. You know which one I mean if you see it. (:
Btw guys I have like 60+ Drafts I need to finish so pls be patient with me.
Word sure spreads fast among the folk of Asgard, about Odin’s shame and your innocence.
Since his lies had weakened the favor among his subjects, the Allfather was desperate to clean his name and reputation, ultimatively inviting you to come back.
But you declined, stating that this wasn’t your homeland anymore ever since they betrayed you to fullfill their selfish ambitions.
However, Asgard’s hypocrisy wasn’t the only reason you chose to stay on Midgard - you just knew that it would break your heart every day you’d spend on a place with so many memories connected to your deceased husband.
Earthlings, the people of S.H.I.E.L.D and especially Thor’s friends Jane and Erik Selvic had basically become like family to you. Even though they could never fill the void Loki had left in your heart, things being like this was more than you could wish for.
“Lady Y/N!” a familiar voice greeted you, yet his worried tone startled you. Thor was already standing in your room, practically kicking in your door as he was visibly upset.
Immediately, you put Liam into his crib and rushed to his side. “What’s the matter?!”
A strange mix of horror and excitement was stretched across his face, making your heart sink to your stomach.
Actually, you didn’t want to involve yourself with the Asgardians any further. All you ever wanted was for your child to be healthy and happy, no matter where this was possible.
But Thor was still your cherished brother-in-law, as well as a wonderful uncle, never ceasing to provide for you and Liam, even when everyone else had forsaken you.
Yet what he was about to tell you let your blood run cold:
“Loki is back.”
Immediately, all the walls you had built up over those past months were crumbling as you collapsed to the floor, crying out of anger and relief.
“H-How? How is this even possible?! He’s dead! Loki died!”
“Pull yourself together, Lady Y/N!” Thor has always been a rather touchy-feely kind of person, in opposite to his raw and bulky appearance.
But right now, he wouldn’t dare to hug or console you, like he’d usually do. Instead, he was offering you a hand to help you get back up - which you wouldn’t be able to take just yet. “There’s no use in overthinking this! We need to hurry!”
“What do you even want me to do?” you wondered, because if your husband was really alive, you’d doubt him wanting to see you. “He’s changed...killed a lot of people before he disappeared. And still, I don’t wanna fight him. How can I be of any help at all?!?”
“We know he’s probably after you and the child” the God of Thunder stated coldly. “So you need to be transferred to a safe location.”
What can be more safe than a base of S.H.I.E.L.D? If only you knew he had already demolished a whole, giant outpost of them with ease...
“I’ll explain everything to you on the way.” “Let me quickly get the baby.”
“What, did you forget the name of your nephew already?” you chuckled awkwardly, but seeming to have struck a nerve.
Thor was only slowly approaching the crib in which your lovely baby was resting, staring at it with awe while his trembling hand caressed Liam’s cheek.
“Incredible...” he whispered mainly to himself,  as if this wasn’t the thousandth time he would lay eyes upon him. “He’s just like I remember him.”
Something was off.
Of course Thor had a spare key to your flat, but you had never heared him unlock it - he had just kind of appeared in the middle of the room. Could as well be that you had been to invested with something, or buried in thought to notice him, and yet...
“Wait” you stated, making him flinch away from the child and turn around. “My knees are still weak. Help me up first.”
With heavy steps, Thor would force himself away from the crib and towards you again, lending you another hand and easily pulling you up - just for you to point a sharp dagger to his throat.
“Lady Y/N, when did you summo-”
“Shut up!” you hissed, and the god held his hands into the air to assure his goodwill. "Drop the disguse. Now!”
The man let out an amused huff, a taint of green covering his body to revert it back to normal - revealing your husband.
His hair had become longer, and dark rings showed how devastating those past months went by for him. Yet still, he was unmistakingly your husband.
Yet a faint, mad spark in his eyes was what worried you the most.
Now he was holding a knife as well, both circling around the crib with a knife at each other’s throat, as if to dance with each other.
“So it’s really you, Loki?”
“The one and only” he declared, chest swelling with pride at his performance and completely ignoring your hostile undertone. “I missed you painfully, my sweetling.”
He looked to the side where your son was still sleeping soundly, regret clearly visible on his face. “Wha- what name did you give our child?”
“Liam it is.”
The smallest of smiles tugged on his lips, swallowing harshly to surpress the sobs wanting to break free. “Beautiful name. Very well chosen.”
Pain was stretching across your features, desperately trying for the dam of emotions to not break. The dagger in your hand vanished, rather choosing to reluctantly caress his cheek - to make sure this was really him, and not one of his illusions.
And it was really him, leaning into your touch with a content purr. “Yes, my love, just like tha-”
A loud noise drang to his ear, effectively cutting him off. He needed a second to understand that it was in fact you slapping him what caused the interruption.
“Dear, wait, I-” Another hit, this time it was your knee digging into his groin, making him gasp in pain.
With his current power, it would be a piece of cake to block you - yet he knew that after everything that had happened to you, and everything he had done...
...it was what he deserved. So he would allow you to let off some steam.
Yet much to his surprise, you were done already - now grabbing desperately on his cloak and pulling him in for a passionate kiss.
He immediately reciprocated, dropping his weapon as well to embrace you fully, lips mingling with each other over and over again.
Oh, how long had both of you craved for each other?
“Sorry” you panted as your lips finally parted, “Just needed to get that off my chest.”
“Do not apologize, my love” Loki declared, chin resting atop of your head, still no intention to let go off of you. “I deserve far worse than that.”
You looked up to him, the kiss having made something surface in his eyes: So solemn, and incredibly fragile, it made your heart ache.
“Wha- what happened to you? Where have you been all this time?”
Loki’s face contorted at the question, as if the thoughts in his mind were physically painful. But his mind was clouded, unable to make his proper memory resurfacing. “Places far beyond your imagination, dear. And I have learned many things.”
“I-I thought I had lost you...” you ultimatively began to sob, face dug into his chest.
“No” the god whispered softly, his gaze still unwavering. “You always have me. I promise.”
“What now?” you sniveled as he gently pet your head, just as back in good old times. “Where do we go?”
“What do you mean?” Loki’s features creased into a slight frown, “We stay here. There’s no need to leave or flee.”
“Bu-” you hesistantly took a few steps back, to take in his full reaction. “But you’re a wanted criminal, Loki! On Asgard as well as Midgard!”
His manner became more defensive again, glee radiating off of him. “Oh, my sweet, innocent Y/N...still the idealist, I see.”
“And you are still insufferable” you scoffed back, crossing your arms. “What do you mean?”
Actually, you dreaded the answer.
The man seemed to be thinking about many things at once, eyes narrowing before he finally took a hold of your hand, squeezing it ever so slightly when he saw that you were still wearing his ring - even after everything that had happened.
“Y/N, my love, those deaths were a necessary evil.” He tried to peck a quick kiss on your hand, but you pulled away at those words. “The only crime I feel guilty for is having left the love of my life. But don’t you worry, I’ll make up for it.”
He summoned a staff, glowing in the same blue as the tesseract - and much to your terror, his eyes started to adapt to them as well.
“I will create my own kingdom, Y/N! Here on Midgard, with you as my queen! This is what you deserve, my love! You and our child will have everything you desire and more!”
“This is madness, Loki!” It wasn’t the first time he had heared that.
People always treated him wrongly, afterwards wondering why he was trying to create felicity on his own. “Is it?” he croaked, “Is it madness for a person born to rule two kingdoms to create a home he never had?”
His plan did not merit awe or any such feelings he hoped you to have - the only person in the world he thought would understand him.
“Loki, what your parents have done to you is inexcusable, yet-”
“They’re not my parents!” he screamed enraged, eyes then widened in shock that he had raised his voice at you. “My apologies, I...”
“They have kept the truth from you so that you’d never feel different. You know you’re their son, and the Asgardians are your family. You must know that!”
“You speak like mother” he spat, and still Frigga’s words he could not shake off as easily as Odin’s. “There is no going back to that place, and Jotunheim I never had a connection with. You most likely heared that I tried to kill Laufey, yes?”
Nodding in silence, you nervously bit your lip. “Please...” Wrapping your arms around him and placing one ear at his sternum, you could clearly hear how his heart was fighting a war, struggling to decide.
“You can still stop whatever you were gonna do. We can start anew somewhere, lead a peaceful life with Liam. I don’t need wealth or power, and you clearly know any of this wouldn’t give you the satisfaction you’re searching for!”
“As always, you’re right” he grumbled deeply, already regretting what he was about to do. “But it’s not that easy, my naive little dove.”
“No~” With his hand on the back of your neck, he infused a powerful magic inside your body, slowly shutting down your nervous system completely. As careful as possible, he cradled you in his arms and slowly led you to the floor, then proceeding to take his heir.
“The only thing I need for myself is our little family - and I will avenge you by murdering anyone that did you wrong, or tries to separate us again.”

Obey
You stumble through the compound door clumsily, smashing into the cold arch of the doorway. "Sorry" You mutter looking back to check the arch was okay, you hesitate, shaking your head trying to clear the fog mixing in your brain. You have just got back from a mission; the only problem being you couldn't remember the mission; well the end of it. You walked into the mission room, finding your teammates sat around the oval table.
You gulp as you stand in the doorway, breath hitching in your throat. "Shut the door." Your boss snaps, you gulp obeying immediately. You freeze in place, scared for the debrief to begin. "Sit down." Fury orders again, already tired of your shit. You drop in your place automatically sitting where you were stood. You register a snicker from Tony.
"Don't be a smart ass Agent Hale, get your ass up." Again your body shoots up before your brain has the chance to process the command. "Take a seat." Fury orders again, this time pointing to a vacant seat between Steve and Bucky. You body obeys, rushing over and sitting in the seat, Steve shoots you a caring glance, worry in his eyes. You try to nod at your best friend, but only manage to move your head a fraction. "Agent Hale, eyes front." You head snaps back to look at the director of Shield, missing the confused glance Bucky was shooting your way.
"Mission report" He snaps, growing increasingly annoyed at your behaviour. He was used to your stubbornness and sassy tones, it's why he never paired you with Tony. He couldn't cope with you both at the same time. This behaviour was odd. "Yes Sir, so we got to New York, we were fighting the Chitauri, we managed to close the portal that was allowing more ships through and now here we are." You say, recalling what you could. In reality you could not remember anything from the portal closing, to walking into the compound.
Your mind was a complete blank as you try to think about why you hadn't come back with the team. "Right, but where did you go?" He presses. A rather masculine British voice breaks through the fogginess of your mind an answer. 'When they ask, tell them you went for a pint to celebrate. You fell and knocked your head pretty bad, hence why your a bit hazy on details.'
You clear your throat and repeat the words; "I went for a pint, to celebrate. I fell and knocked my head pretty bad, hence why I'm a bit hazy on details." You say, staring at Fury. "You went for a pint?" Fury seethes the same time Bucky and Steve speak. "You mean a beer, your ain't British doll." "Shit are you okay?" You maintained your eye contact with Fury as your answered his question. "Yes I went for a pint." You turned to Steve "I'm good Capsicle." You turn your glare on Bucky. "Same thing robocop."
"You sure, Bruce should check you out." Nat voices, concern on her face. The same male voice piques in your head. 'No, tell them you're fine. It won't be good for you if they investigate further, or for the people you love.' "I'm fine, I promise the medics checked me out before I left." You lie. "I thought you said you didn't remember anything after your fall." Bucky questions, your turn slightly and shoot him a glare. "I said I was hazy of details, clean your ears out gramps." Tony laughs, clapping his hands together.
"Well that's definitely the Y/N we all know and love, so I'd say everything is fine." He makes to stand when Fury orders him to sit back down, he huffs but did as he was told. "This is not fine, Loki is still at large, we have no idea when he will strike again." You scrunch your face in confusion, before righting your face to neutral expression. 'Who the hell if the Loki?' "I will ask Heimdall to keep me updated if Loki appears anywhere within the 9 realms." Thor speaks up.
"Loki is your brother Thor, shouldn't you know him well enough to find him." Again you felt confusion flood your mind; 'Why was this the first time hearing of this man, who was supposedly Thor's brother? You tighten your lips not wanting to interrupt with a question that would draw more attention to your current predicament. 'Good girl.' The same male voice purrs in your mind, you almost gasp at the jolt the praise sends to your core, quickly schooling your reaction. You look at your hands in even more confusion. 'I will explain in dew time, my pet.'  You freeze slightly. You tune out of the conversation going on around you. 'I'm going crazy. Maybe I did really hit my head.' 'No pet, not crazy. Now focus and be a good little obedient pet, for me.'
'Yes Sir.' You tune out of your head snapping your attention back to the room, the conversation coming too a close with the dismissal of the agents. You make to stand and leave, when Fury's voice calls you back. Telling you to sit back down, he wasn't done with you yet. Steve gives your shoulder a squeeze on his way out, leaning into your ear.
"I'll come find you later, don't sass him. It will only make it worse." You nod as he stands and pats your shoulder once more before leaving the room. You turn your full attention back to your boss and settle in for your lecture.
~
A hour later you leave the briefing room, huffing to yourself. 'An hour of your day wasted, just great.' The fogginess in your head has simmered into a dull cloud allowing clearness to peak through like sunshine in an over cast sky. 'Not a waste pet, I now know exactly how much they know about me.' You smile to yourself, happy to please the mysterious voice.
'So I did good, sir?'
'Yes pet, I'm very proud. Now I have some business to attend to so I won't be in your head as such for a while. Do you remember the rule kitten?'
'Yes Sir, I am to obey my teammates, so they do not question me. I need to be believable, keep them happy and keep our interaction a secret.'
'Good girl,' the voice purrs. You preen again at the praise and rub your thighs together as you walk. You're looking down as the fogginess starts to once again cloud your mind, your body bumps into something again. "Sorry" You mutter expecting to see another door frame, instead your eyes fall on Bucky. "Did you just apologise to me?" He smirks, you roll your eyes at him and shove past him. "Wait." He orders, your body freezing without your consent. You glare at the floor, trying to figure out why you couldn't move. "Apologise, you just slammed into me, twice." He says smugly, taunting you. "Sorry for slamming into you, twice." His eyes widen slightly.
"Wow, I didn't actually think you would." Bucky pauses. "You must have really hit your head doll." He laughs. "Don't call me that." You snap angrily, he glares at you a smirk playing on his lips still. "Oh I'll call you whatever I want, got that?"
"Yes Sir." You hear James' breath hitch, but he doesn't say anything. "Can I go now?" You huff, as you watch confusion flush his face, but he still doesn't respond. As if trying to figure something out. "Please Sir?" You ask impatiently. You just wanna go vent to Steve and then have a bath. "You can go." He pauses as your feet lift to storm off. "After you've given me a kiss doll." He teases, testing his theory. Your body obeys without your brain obeying, you approach Barnes before leaning and placing your lips on his and kissing him. His metal hand reaches and wraps through your hair, pulling you closer.
After a few seconds, he pulls back smirking. "This is going to be fun, doll." He releases you and walks away, calling over his shoulder. "You can go now Kitten." You walk off confused. Why had you just kissed Barnes, you hated him and he hated you. Or at least that's what you thought. You shake your head and storm off in the direction of Steve's room. You reach his room and walk in without knocking, your eyes scan the room finding no sign of Steve. You sigh and head over to his bed, flopping onto it and laying on your back.
'Why on earth did Barnes want me to kiss him? Why did I kiss him? Why did I not just flip him off and leave? Did I want to kis -' You're pulled from your thoughts by Steve walking into the room. "Of course, help yourself to my bed." Steve groans, as he approaches the bed, joining you. You turn to face him and take in his appearance, beads of water rest on his chest, dripping down his sides as he lays next to you. Your eyes travel further down his body taking in how the towel is wrapped around him, how it parts slightly at the legs.
'Damn, what I'd give for that towel to just fall open.' You sigh, rolling your eyes at yourself. You force yourself back onto your back, looking at the ceiling. 'Keep your legs crossed.' "Did Fury give you a hard time?" Steve asks, turning to face you. "Of course he did, guy needs to remove the lead pipe from his ass, may be a little bit more tolerable then." You admit. "And did you sass him?" He asks, looking at you intently. You turn yourself to him once again, keeping your eyes on his face.
"No Captain, I was well behaved." You mock as you prop yourself up on your arm. "Good girl" Steve teases. You bite your lip as your core throbs. 'What is wrong with me?' Your clench your thighs slightly as your core throbs for a second time, you whimper softly as you feel the wetness pooling in your panties. Steve notices your thighs clenching and moves his gaze down, you follow his eye line and see his towel has fell open, from lying on his side. You gasp as you see the angry looking head of his erection. A drop of precum hangs from the tip, tempting you to taste.
You rub your thighs together, trying to get some much needed friction. "Like what you see baby?" Steve asks, a smirk on his face. You choose not to answer, instead closing your eyes to try and calm yourself. "Don't ignore me." He growls, gripping your face. "Sorry Captain" You start, he tightens his hold on your chin. "Answer my question." He demands, mischief in his eyes.
"I like what I see." You moan as your core throbs, releasing more slick. "Show me how much you like it babygirl." He orders, releasing your face. Before you can decide otherwise your body moves off the bed, till your kneeling in front on Steve. He perches himself on his elbows, giving you his full attention.
"Well..." He pushes. Your hand reaches up, unwrapping the towel from his body, you groan as you clench around nothing. Your finger wrap around his member, your fingers not meeting due to his girth. Your hand rubs up over the tip softly causing Steve to buck his hips into your fist. You use his precum to ease the slide of your hand. "Fuck Y/N." You tighten your fist slightly, rotating your hand on the upstroke.
"Fuck, use your mouth and get it nice and wet for me." Steve purrs as he watches you. You lean forward and capture the tip in your mouth, laving over the head before moving your lips down his shaft. You begin to bob your head up and down in addition to your hand movements. "Fuck, I knew you'd be amazing at this with those lips of yours." Steve groans, pushing you up. "You're gunna let me fuck your face, okay?"
"Yes Captain." You obey. Steve stands up, guiding you up until your level with his crotch. "Open up for me, you slut." He hisses as he pushes forward, pressing his tip against your lips. You obey, opening your mouth for him to slot himself in, which he does. Sliding home in one thrust, his head breaches your throat and you fight to stop yourself from gagging. You place your hands on his thighs as he draws out.
"Breathe baby." He purrs, before sliding back in your mouth again, throat constricting around the head of his cock. You groan around his member as he thrusts in and out of your mouth relentlessly. "Fuck, you're too good at this" He groans as his hips speed up chasing the sweet relief.
"Hey Stev-" Bucky's voice cuts short as his eyes fall upon the scene in front of him. His blood begins to boil, anger consuming him. "What the fuck are you doing?" He screams storming over to you. Your mouth stays on Steve's shaft as he keeps his pace, too caught up in the feeling. "Y/N! Get off him." Bucky orders, your body obeys trying to pull off Steve immediately. Steve follows your face, chasing his orgasm, not caring about his best friend being there. He thrusts into your throat one last time before Bucky pulls you back. Steve groans as his hips still and his member pulses, painting your face with his release. Steve doesn't get to enjoy his climax too much as Bucky's fist soon connects with the side of his face.
"You knew! YOU FUCKING KNEW HOW I FELT ABOUT HER?! HOW THE FUCK COULD YOU DO THAT TO ME" Bucky screamed punching him once more. Steve just laughs. "She wanted it, trust me." You could see Bucky getting even angrier, before you could stop yourself you stood up placing yourself between the two super soldiers. "Bucky stop." You beg, holding your hands in a pleading motion.
He looks at you, your plump lips, covered with his best friends discretion. Your watery eyes, from being throat fucked, by someone he trusted. "Fine" He snaps at you, looking at you with venomous eyes. His gaze settles back on Steve. "You need to back the fuck off, she's mine." He hisses, grabbing your wrist and pulling you from the room. "We'll see about that" Steve's voice follows you as you're pulled towards Bucky's room.  Bucky's grip on your wrist doesn't lessen as he drags you through the compound towards his room.
He drags into his room, slamming the door behind you turning the lock into place. Before you get a chance to protest Bucky is ushering you towards the bathroom. "Strip" He commands, your fingers shake as you obey him, without question. Your body moving on its own accord. You reach up to your combat jacket and undo the zip as quick as you can, not wanting to anger or displease the super soldier in front of you. You could still fell Steve's release on your face, sliding down your neck and you shivered as your jacket slid from your arms.
Once your jacket fell to the floor you bent at the hip to untie your combat boots, before standing and toeing them off. You reach for the hem of your vest and tug it up out of your pants before bringing it over your head, trying not to tarnish is with the cum on your face. You next unbuttoned your pants, shimmying out of them. You looked at Bucky as you stood only in your black bra and black lace panties, it was the plainest set you owned. But it was still cute and you knew you looked good in it. You lock eyes with Bucky as you stand tall, proud almost. You notice the icy blue of his eyes has practically disappeared, being replaced with black. You gulp, you know that look. Had seen it aimed your way so many times. You just never thought you would be on the receiving end of that look from Bucky Barnes.
You thought he hated you, so you were very confused right now, not just about him. But Steve as well and why the hell you had obeyed to strip in front of the super soldier. You couldn't stop though and a fullness in your stomach told you, you didn't mind it as much as you thought you would. You rubbed your thighs together subconsciously. Buck smirked as he caught your action, he reached a hand down to adjust himself, groaning as his palm brushed his arousal. His action caught your attention and your gaze was drawn to his crotch. You gasped as you took in the bulge that had formed in his pants.
"If you thought Steve was big, you're in for a shock with me doll." He purrs as he motions to your bra and panties, a non verbal command you quickly rush to obey. He watches you reach behind yourself to unhook your bra and chooses to talk again. "Even better than Steve, I was always big, so the serum only made me bigger by a little. Steve's is mainly serum." He huffs a laugh, not caring that he's talking shit about Steve. He put his hands on my girl, he thought angrily. He watched intensely as your hands reach to the straps, sliding them down your arms, allowing your breasts free from their captors.
Bucky groans as he absorbs the image of your breasts greedily, eyes falling on the shining glimmer underneath your stiff nipples. "Fuck, I'd hoped you had your nipples pierced, whenever I'd look I always had a feeling you had them done from the outline." He purred as he reached to palm himself through his pants. "You've stared at my tits?" You question, hands moving to your panties. Your brain prompts you to stop, but your body doesn't let you as you hook your thumbs into the side of them, drawing them down your legs in an almost seductive manner. "Yeah doll, I 've stared as pretty much every part of you. You're just to dense to notice." You halt your movements.
"I didn't say stop, did I. Panties off." He orders as he steps forward. "I'm not dense." You snap, removing your panties and standing up, trying to cover your body slightly. "Ah don't cover up. Let me see you." He purrs stepping forwards. "And you are dense when it comes to some things doll, like seeing that you drive me absolutely fucking insane. You can't even imagine how many times I've thought about bending you over the meeting table and fucking that sass you like to spew so much out of you." He growls as he pulls you flush to him.
You startle slightly at his admission. "Bucky, please don't." You know its futile, you don't understand how you ended up here, why you'd even listened to him in the first place. "Don't what doll. I'm not doing anything." He replies, as his finger traces the curve of your breast, ghosting over your pert bud. "You're going to shower, I'm just here to make sure you clean yourself." He pauses as he pinches your nipple between his fingers. "Thoroughly, we don't want you missing a spot, now do we." He purrs as he pushed you towards the shower. He opens the door and reaches in for the switch, setting the water to a mild temperature.
He didn't want it to be too hot as he didn't plan on letting you relax to much, that and the coolness would help cool you both down. He motioned for you to step into the shower, but you hesitated, finally feeling like you had a ounce of control over your own body. "In the shower Y/N. Don't make me repeat myself. You won't like what happens." He growls the last part as he removes his t-shirt, throwing it in the corner on the floor. He smirks when you obey this time, reaching to pop the button of his pants open.
He watches you stand under the fall of water, washing away the disrespect of his so called best friend. He removes his pants and boxers in one move, before joining you quickly and crowding you against the wall. "So how is it that Steve got you on your knees for him, huh?" He pushes you as he cages you with his arms against the cold shower wall. You shiver as the cold washes over you, arching away from the wall slightly and pushing your breasts against Bucky. Your nipples run against his chest teasingly and you moan at the contact, feeling the jolt it sends to your centre.
"I don't know" You admit honestly as you shake the lustful thoughts from your mind. "I know." Bucky laughs, crowding against you further so he's flush against you, his length poking your thigh. You look at him in the eyes. "How?" You ask. He ignores you and brings his hand to your head cupping your face and bringing it to his. "Doesn't matter. But tell me something honestly. Do you like Steve?" He is face is a mere breath away from yours now, your heart pounding in your chest. 'How is Bucky Barnes of all people making me go weak in the knees.'
'Sshh Pet, I wanna see how this plays out.' The voice purrs , his tone a mixture of lust and amusement. 'Sorry Sir.' You prompt immediately, angry at yourself for disappointing the voice. 'It's okay Kitten, I know you're confused and I will explain all in dew time. Right now though I need to see more of you. I want to devour you.' The voice rasps, you gasp as Bucky grips your throat, drawing the focus back to him.
"ANSWER ME" He roars at you. You whimper slightly as your body releases another wave of slick. "Of course I like Steve, he's my best friend." You say, as you try to make yourself smaller, hoping you can disappear. "You don't just suck off your best friend doll. Me and Steve are- were best friends for 70 years and I never once sucked him off nor he me." He laughed as your face blanched. "SO I'll ask one more time doll. Do you have romantic feelings for Steve?" He demands. "No Sir. I think he is attractive and sexy, but I only see him as a best friend. I don't know why I did what I did. It's like I couldn't stop." You huff out.
'Be careful Pet, can't have you letting out my secret. You intrigue me. But don't think that will save you, if you fuck this up.' The voice warns sternly. You gulp; 'I'm sorry Master, I'll do better I promise.' You hear a dark pleased chuckle bounce through your head. 'Good girl, now give this fellow a kiss, one so passionate he drops his arms. I want you to place your front on the glass door. So I can see you better. Okay kitten?' The voice purrs.
You almost lunge forwards at Bucky trying to obey the voice, but stop yourself from crashing into him just in time, allowing a more gently touching of your lips. You put all the emotion into the kiss you could muster, lust, anger, fear, love. You kissed Bucky like your life depending on it, moaning into him as his hands wrapped around your lower back, pulling you impossibly closer to his body. Bucky's tongue probed your bottom lip, but you hesitated for a second too long, causing Bucky to reach down and pinch your ass with his vibrainium hand. You yelp into the kiss, Bucky taking this opportunity to slip his tongue in your mouth.
You manage to manoeuvre yourself so that your back is flush with the glass of the door. 'Your ass would look beautiful brandishing my mark, pet.'  You moan into the kiss as your pussy throbs, a weird sensation falling over you. You moan again as you feel the sensation travel up your thigh. You feel Bucky's hands, one is cupping your breast the other is palming your ass, so what is touching your thigh. You get drawn back to Bucky as he bites your lip, creating a small cut and suckling at the blood there. He groans as his hips thrust against you, his erection rubbing against your thigh.
That explains it, you think. You feel yourself being spun around as Bucky slams your front against the door, previously warmed by your back it doesn't make you gasp, what does is the glowing emerald eyes staring back at you. 'Master?' You ask, the person smirks and nods. 'Yes Kitten, you look ravishing. I bet you feel it too. Shame this oaf is going to get you, before I do.' He purrs. You freeze slightly at the implication Loki just told you. Now he's in front of you, you recognize the black haired god. The one you were supposed to take down on the earlier mission. 'Hold on you're Thor's brother?'
'Adopted brother, but yes Kitten. Now shush and enjoy this.'  You stare at Loki in confusion, but don't ask any further questions as instructed you shush and enjoy the sensation of Bucky rubbing soap onto your shoulders and back. "Gotta get you all clean, pretend you and Steve never happened. Mine." Bucky says to himself as he kneels and begins working on your legs. You feel the phantom sensation again on the vee of your pussy, it feels like fingers trailing along the skin. You gasp as you feel a long, thin finger brush through your folds.
You look up at the man on the other side of the glass, noticing the green swirling around his hand as he makes circular motions. You moan as the phantom fingers circle your bud, applying just the right pressure to bring you so close to the edge. Bucky works on scrubbing your knees, moving to your thighs, as another phantom hand joins the mix, two long fingers thrusting deep into your centre, you arch your body. You hear Bucky groan as you all but shove your ass in his face, he teasingly nips at your check. "Patience doll." He teases as he rubs soft motions on the inside of your thighs.
'Poor guy has no idea you're about to cum, does he. I was gunna just watch.'  The voice paused as the thrusting fingers sped up and the fingers circling your clit  increased speed and pressure. 'But I decided I want to be the one who makes you cum first tonight Kitten.' He smirks as he locks eyes with your through the slightly foggy glass. You bite your lip as your legs begin to shake. Bucky moves from your thighs, standing flush against you, his erection slips between your thighs, rubbing along your folds. Pushing the phantom fingers impossibly deeper.
'Be a good girl and cum for your master.' Loki maintains eyes contact with you as Bucky's hands grope your breasts toying with your nipples. The extra stimulation sends you over the edge as you gush over the phantom hands and Bucky's length, you bite your lip to keep in your cry of ecstasy. 'Good girl Kitten, shame I had to waste my seed on a rag though. You would look delectable round with my child.' Loki purrs. "Did you just cum?" Bucky asks confusion evident in his tone. You don't answer, but whimper in reply. "Words doll, use them." Bucky spins you around to face him, seeing the flush of red on your face, already answering his question.
"Yeah I just came, I'm sorry." You begin, before Bucky crashes his lips to yours in a searing kiss. "Don't apologise babydoll, that was so fucking hot. You squirted untouched as I played with your nipples. Fuck. I was gunna wait but I need you now." He lifts you up so you wrap your legs around his hips, his length resting against your entrance. "Tell me you need me, tell me you want me." He begs, knowing you'll do what he says. He knows he shouldn't be taking advantage of you, but he's past caring. "I want you Bucky.." You say as you wrap your arms around his shoulders. "I need you Bucky." You pant in his ear, he thrusts into you as hears the final word leaving your mouth. He slams into you, groaning into your neck as your tight channel grips his cock.
"So tight for me baby girl." He purrs as he begins a brutal pace of thrusting in and out your wet walls. "Do you feel that baby, feel how your walls cling to me. How you fit me like a... " Bucky groans as he feels you clench around him, your orgasm fast approaching. "Like a fucking glove. Fuck. I'm gunna cum. Got me so worked up by squirting on my cock. My little cock slut. All mine." He growls as you whimper, nails digging into his back. "You gunna cum again baby? Gunna cum all over my cock, milk my cock so you can be filled with my cum?"
You moan as you capture Buckys lips. "You like that? Wanna be my cum slut?" He growls as his pace slams into you, probably leaving bruises on your ass from how hard his thighs are slamming into it. "CUM" He demands as his cock twitches inside of you, his thick release coating your insides. Your body obeys him as you seize and your orgasm floods you, drowning you in euphoria. You feel your vision start to blur, as your eyes fading to black.

BUNGA (FLOWER) | FUSHIGURO MEGUMI
gender neutral.
summary; you’re megumi’s dream person.
note; i wrote this bcs my birth name is actually a type of flower ugh the self indulgence also i like butterflies. also inspired by a song called bunga by masdo. i recommend listening to the song while reading. bunga means flower in malay!! also pls open the gif for better quality.
Tumblr media
YOU REMIND MEGUMI OF A FLOWER. white orchids; they symbolize purity. and that’s exactly what you are to him.
fushiguro megumi remembers this one day when he and tsumiki had went to a flower garden together. he didn’t know why tsumiki suddenly felt like visiting a garden, but he followed anyway. he observed as his sister looked at the flowers around them, a smile never leaving her face and her eyes were practically sparkling. it felt nice to see his sister actually enjoy herself, especially after their parents got up and abandoned them, leaving tsumiki with all the house chores.
“look at all these flowers!”, tsumiki caressed the petals with her fingers, thumb gently gliding over the flowers, “they look so nice, don’t you think so megumi?”
megumi didn’t reply, he opted to stand beside his older sister. tsumiki explained the symbolisms of the flowers she knew of. the raven head looked stoic, as if he wasn’t listening to any of her words but the truth is, he was. he found the symbolism behind the white orchids particularly interesting. it suited the orchids’ physical appearance. white and innocence just made sense.
as the siblings chatted (though it technically was one sided on tsumiki’s part), a cat walked towards the duo. the ball of orange fur purred and nudged it’s head on tsumiki’s legs, immediately getting the teenage girl’s attention. she kneeled down, her previous smile growing wider.
petting the cat, she looked up at her younger brother, “aren’t cats so adorable?”.
“yeah,” megumi uttered. a lie. he wasn’t a big fan of cats, he found them annoying. dogs are better, that’s what he believed in but he didn’t have the heart to say that to his sister. not when she looks the happiest she had been in a while.
“and the weather’s really nice today!”, she added, eyes glancing up at the sky. the sun was glaring right into her eyes, so her pupils shrunk. she didn’t mind however, she had always loved sunny days. the sunlight shone right above their heads, and megumi didn’t like it. he could feel drops of sweat trickling down his back, causing his shirt to cling onto his skin. megumi much prefers when it’s cloudy, shades of grey in the sky, the perfect weather for staying at home and reading books.
even so, he just nodded, “mhm.”
shortly the sun started to set, spreading orange hues throughout the sky. flocks of birds returned to their nests, and so the fushiguro siblings made their way back to their abode. on their way tsumiki stole glances at her brother, letting out a dry chuckle everytime she notices the lack of expression on his face.
“you should smile more you know, megumi”, she ruffled his erratic hair, “you won’t get much friends if you keep on frowning like that”, she teased.
he grumbled, “i don’t care if i don’t have friends.”
megumi thought it was ridiculous. why would it matter, anyway? he’s fine being alone. people are bothersome; they’re too loud and they stress him out. especially the stupid punks in school who thinks they could do whatever they want. megumi simply shrugged and pushed his sister’s words out of his mind. scratch smiling and being likeable.
yet here he is, smiling at you. over no particular reason too.
currently, he’s walking along a beach with you. you; dressed up in a white sundress, a pair of sandals in your right hand. the sand burns under fushiguro’s feet but he couldn’t feel it over the fast thumping of his heart, he couldn’t feel the heat when his whole skin is tingling. he trolls behind you, walking over the footsteps you made. your sundress flows to the rhythm of your walk, flying slightly up when the wind blows your way, exposing the plush skin of your thighs. fushiguro looks away from your figure, his fair complexion tinted with blush.
you’re his best friend, he’s not supposed to look at you like that.
“it’s so nice here, megumi!”, you call out to him as you stand at the edge of the sea. waves crash, they trickle up to your toes. with a smile you hold up your hand for megumi to hold.
bashfully, megumi walks up to you and takes your hand in his. he’s reluctant, for he dislikes his hands. they’re cold and filled with callouses. so when you grip his hand as though you didn’t intend to let go, when your thumb rubs against his, he feels less insecure of his hands. the sensation of your hand in his is hot, it burns; however it feels nice.
megumi fushiguro hates warmth, but if it’s your warmth, he’d enjoy burning in heat.
the sand by the sea doesn’t feel hot on your feet. the waves get bigger and bigger; till they reach up to your ankles. you giggle because it tickled, the sound of your laughs reaching megumi’s ears. he turns to his side to see you crouching down, collecting the water in your hands.
that’s when megumi concluded, your whole existence screams purity.
a week later megumi meets you again. sometime at 11pm, by an oak tree—your usual meeting spot. the oak tree is large, it’s impossible to miss it. you stand under the oak tree, allowing dried leaves to fall onto your head, getting stuck in your hair. you know megumi would get all the leaves out of your hair. he does it everytime. he’ll pick out all the leaves out of your hair while lecturing you, though his words enter one ear then out from another. no matter how many times he says “i can’t do this all the time”, even he himself knows he would.
from afar megumi watches his best friend run around the flower field, chasing butterflies. your hair gets swept away by the wind as your hands stretch up to the sky, desperately trying to get a butterfly to land on your hand. you’re wearing a jumpsuit, the white color of the material truly brought out your skin tone. your complexion is glistening, and it makes megumi’s heart throb.
“they’re scared of you, y/n,” he finally says, putting both your hands down. the butterflies fly away from your sight, and you pout.
“but they’re so pretty,” you sigh, watching as the butterflies choose to fly anywhere but on your fingers. and then one lands on top of megumi’s shoulder.
your eyes widen, holding the sides of megumi’s figure to make him stay still. megumi could see sparks in your eyes when you admire the blue butterfly. soft is the expression you wear on your face. he likes it on you. that cute expression of yours makes megumi fall five times harder for you even when he knows he shouldn’t.
“you’re like a flower ‘gumi. it likes you.”
ridiculous, he thinks. you’re the flower. it’s obvious by the way your body moves under the moonlight, and how insanely beautiful you are.
fushiguro megumi doesn’t say anything in return, as always. he rarely does. if possible, he wants to avoid you from finding out just how in love he is with you.
after that day, you never show up under the oak tree, a few minutes distance from jujutsu high. he’ll wait for hours long only to be disappointed.
--at least not until his birthday comes, about a few months later. his face turns pale once he spotted you. you wait by the jujutsu high gate with a wide smile on his face, as if you didn’t ghost him for three months.
"glad to see you doing okay," the apple of your cheeks seem more prominent when you smile, megumi feels an urge to kiss them.
"i haven't seen you in so long," megumi mumbles, "happy to see you here today."
you grin and hold up your hand for him to take per usual, and didn’t mutter anymore words until the two of you reach a café in the outskirts of tokyo.
“nice café,” the raven comments , glancing at you. you’re wearing a puffy sleeved white blouse now—honestly, do you only own white clothes?
“found it on instagram”, you mutter, “i thought you’d like it. happy birthday, megumi.”
megumi smiles for the first time today. as a jazz song plays, he eats the birthday cake you purchased for him quietly. the cake tastes delicious (to be fair, anything you buy him is perfect) because it’s not too sweet. the fact that you remember his preference makes his smile grow a little wider.
you hum to the song and rest your head on his shoulder. it seems like the two of you are the only ones in the café—a much needed privacy. you’re usually touchy with him, and he prefers affection to be private. typically they make megumi blush, and he doesn’t want people to witness him all flustered.
“did you miss me, megumi?”, he replies to your question by nodding and placing his hand on top of yours.
serenity is this feeling, megumi thinks.
at the corner of the café stands an antique grandfather clock. it’s sounds are so loud, they resonate the whole environment. megumi suddenly becomes hyper aware of the sound, there’s a pounding in his head. the sound becomes louder and louder, to the point where megumi couldn’t feel your skin under his. he shuts his eyes close, an impossibly bright light glares his eyes.
“fushiguroooo!”, an annoying voice yells. itadori’s voice, megumi is certain.
the pounding in his head slows down. his sapphire eyes flutter open, and he realizes the light he saw was sunlight rays peeking through his blinds.
“seriously fushiguro, we’ve been calling you for an hour now. hurry up, we’re going out to eat in five. to celebrate your birthday”, megumi looks up to see nobara standing behind itadori.
they’re both leaning against his door frame. itadori is dressed in a yellow hoodie, while nobara rocks a coat over a turtleneck. the female sorcerer holds her toy hammer tight in her grip, her eyes boring through megumi’s figure. by her posture, megumi guesses she was about to hit him with the squeaky hammer if only he didn’t wake up sooner.
fucking menaces, they could’ve left him to sleep for a little more. he hasn’t seen you in so long, he wanted to sleep in to spend time with you.
finally rubbing his eyes awake, the boy looks at the vase of orchids sitting on his nightstand. he sighs before standing up.
megumi will find you someday, he promises. if you’re a flower, he’ll gladly be the butterfly.

The Waiting Game
Warnings: tickling, fluff
Word count: 3200
I'm not as happy with how this one came out as the last two, but if I keep thinking about it I'll never post it so... hope it's alright!
* * *
You knew you shouldn’t tell anyone. You knew there would be consequences. But it was just too good of an opportunity to pass up.
You had been taking care of your friend’s pet hamster while they were away for the weekend. For the most part, you’d kept it in your room in its cage to avoid bothering the others with all the noise it made overnight, running on its squeaky wheel at all hours. When everyone else had left the compound for the day, you decided the poor animal could use some real exercise. You had placed the critter in his little hamster ball and brought him to the common area so he could roll around freely.
Except, the little door that closed the ball wasn’t latched all the way. Oops.
Before you knew it, you were crawling around on your hands and knees trying to locate your friend’s pet. You left little snacks out around the room in hopes it would get curious and come out of hiding to munch on something. You were so focused on the task at hand you hadn’t noticed Loki had entered the room, until you heard his voice behind you.
“What in the norns are you doing?” he inquired. You turned to look at him, just as you saw a little fuzzy creature tear across the room and right in front of the dark-haired god. He let out a somewhat undignified yelp as he jumped back. Luckily, the hamster stopped at one of the treats you’d left for him, giving you ample opportunity to scoop him up in your hands. “W-what is that?”
“This is my friend’s hamster!” you explained, giggling at his reaction. “The better question is – what was that noise you made? Don’t tell me you’re afraid of this little thing?”
“Of course not! It merely startled me, is all,” he quickly insisted. You held the hamster out toward him, and Loki took a nearly imperceptible step backward.
“Mmhmm, ok. Not scared. Got it.” Grinning, you moved your hand back and petted the hamster gently on the head. “What would the others think if they knew you a tiny little rodent made you freak out?”
Loki narrowed his eyes at you. “Never speak of this,” he demanded, pointing a finger firmly at you to emphasize. He quickly left the room after that, likely to regain his composure.
But you couldn’t just not tell anyone about this gold nugget of information you’d just learned. So, naturally, you told his brother. And Thor, not one for keeping secrets, told everyone else. Needless to say, there was quite a bit of teasing over the next couple of days. You steered clear of the god, knowing he would not take kindly to your having informed the rest of the team about the little incident.
You couldn’t avoid him forever, though. A couple days later, after having returned the pet to your friend, you were making breakfast for yourself in the kitchen when Loki’s voice echoed from the doorway.
“You’ve been avoiding me,” he stated, his tone ominous. You turned from the stove to meet his eye, smiling sweetly to mask your nervousness at being confronted by the trickster.
“No, of course not! We just haven’t crossed paths,” you fibbed. He rolled his eyes.
“Oh yes – I suppose yesterday in the hallway you just realized you forgot something SO important you had to literally sprint in the opposite direction as you saw me approach?”
“Oh… alright, fine. Yes, I’ve been avoiding you. Wouldn’t you do the same?” Loki stepped into the kitchen, taking a few gradual steps toward you.
“You must know there are consequences when you cross me,” he warned. “You humiliated me, and so I think it only fair I do the same to you.”
“Well good luck with that, I’m an open book. There’s no secrets you can use against me,” you quipped.
“You see, I thought that may be the case, so I started querying the other Avengers,” he explained, now standing only a few feet away from you. Instinctively, you put down your half-cooked breakfast and took a step away from the advancing Asgardian. “Most of them had fairly useless information – scared of spiders, fairly standard human weakness… sleeps with a stuffed bear, which everyone already seemed to know about…”
“Please. That’s not embarrassing,” you huffed.
“…and then I spoke to the spider child. He provided me with some very interesting information about you.” Loki smirked, causing you to laugh nervously.
“Oh, do tell,” you urged, folding your arms across your chest, and trying to play it off as a laugh of disbelief. Loki had now backed you into the corner of the kitchen, which you hadn’t realized until your back met the cold plaster of the wall.
“He informed me that the only time he’s ever seen you truly flustered and embarrassed was during one of your sparring matches, when he accidentally learned about your little secret.” Realization dawned on you, and you tensed up immediately. “He described how you’d begged him not to tell anyone, and he hadn’t up until this point. Apparently he finds me threatening, so it wasn’t difficult to convince him to start talking.”
“I-I don’t know what he could possibly be talking about,” you muttered.
“I think you do,” Loki argued. He pounced at you, lunging with his hands aimed at your sides, causing you to squeak and curl into yourself. His hands stopped inches away from you, close enough that your skin tingled from sheer proximity to his fingertips. “You’re ticklish. Severely, based on that reaction.”
“Pshh, no I’m not! That’s… that’s ridiculous,” you denied, your lie exposed by your nervous giggles and blushing face.
“Mmhmm, I’m sure.” His hands darted toward your belly, again stopping right before he made contact. You yelped and whipped your arms down across your torso to protect yourself. Loki’s smirk only grew wider.
“Ok, fine. You’re right. Just… get it over with!” you begged.
“Oh no. Where would be the fun in that?” he chuckled, stepping back and allowing you space to move away from the wall. “I’ve got to build some anticipation. Catch you when you least expect it.”
“That’s just mean!” you groaned. Loki laughed again, turning around to leave the kitchen. Just before he left, he called over his shoulder.
“You’d better watch your back.”
* * *
Loki’s little game went on for days.
You were on edge at any given moment. Peeking around corners before entering rooms, listening through doors before opening them, trying to ensure your safety before making a move. You half expected him to jump out of nowhere and attack you with tickles on your way down the hallway, but it never happened. Still, you made your travel between rooms as brief as possible.
You wouldn’t say you were dreading the moment he finally did decide to pounce. In fact, in a way the idea made your heart flutter with excitement. What made you most nervous was the thought of the team figuring out you actually enjoyed being tickled, especially Loki. You were certain that that would be the embarrassing part. That, and the fact that you were already flustered by being around Loki long before he figured out this bit of information about you.
You couldn’t always avoid him. There were times that you had to be in the same room for prolonged periods, like during meetings. Loki always seemed to have things set up before you arrived so that the only seat remaining in the room was next to him. You considered sitting on the floor, once, but Steve gave you a scorning look which made you shrink down into the chair beside Loki, albeit begrudgingly. During these meetings, Loki always made sure to keep you on your toes; leaning towards you abruptly and placing his hand on the back of your chair, making you jump, only to whisper something about the meeting presentation, or some ridiculous observation about his brother.
It wasn’t just during work-related gatherings, either. One night, you joined a few of your teammates in the common room to watch a TV show together. Wanda stood up from the couch beside you to go grab a snack from the kitchen, and out of nowhere Loki swooped in and sat down in the spot she previously occupied.
“Good evening,” he greeted you, smirking as you shuffled further toward the edge of the couch to increase the distance between the two of you.
“Loki,” you grunted stiffly in reply.
“Now, y/n, that’s no way to greet your fellow team member,” he scolded tauntingly, clapping a hand on your shoulder, and causing you to flinch away reflexively. He leaned back against the couch, casually propping his feet up on the coffee table in front of you – a stark contrast from your position, huddled in the corner of the couch hugging your knees to your chest in an effort to make yourself as small as possible. “Pray tell, what are we watching?”
“Wouldn’t you like to know,” you huffed. Maybe this whole situation was making you feel a little bratty toward the Asgardian, but in all honesty he really did deserve it.
Suddenly he lunged toward you, causing you to squeak and jolt away from his fingertips. He never touched you, though, closing his fingers around the TV remote sitting on the couch beside you with a smug grin on his face.
“My, my, aren’t we jittery this evening?” he teased, settling back into his seat as he pointed the remote toward the TV to check the guide and find out the show title you had refused to provide.
“Everything alright over there, antsy-pants?” Tony asked, having witnessed the whole interaction.
“Yup! Just peachy,” you replied quickly, shooting Loki a quick glare.
“Peachy? Uh… alright then…” Tony scrutinized you for a moment before turning his attention back to the TV screen.
Needless to say, you didn’t really remember any of the rest of the show from that evening.
Then, as if these group gatherings weren’t enough, there was also your regularly scheduled training sessions. One morning, when Nat had you practicing throwing punches at the punching bag, you sensed Loki lurking around behind you. You turned your head just enough to catch him in your peripheral vision standing a few feet away, observing you silently.
“Better watch yourself – I might just throw one of these punches in your direction,” you threatened, keeping your eye on him as you continued to practice.
“Such hostility,” he teased. “Surely this much stress can’t be good for a mortal such as yourself.” He quickly advanced toward you, causing you to spin around and throw your hands up in front of you in defense. A deep, throaty laugh escaped his lips at your reaction. “You’ve only proven my point. You must learn not to be so tense.” He grabbed hold of your shoulder and turned you around, kneading both shoulders with his strong hands. Under normal circumstances, you’d have melted under his touch, but you were unwilling to let your guard down even for a moment. You grabbed his wrists and turned back to face him, pointing an accusing finger in his face.
“I’m not just going to let you slip past my defenses that easily,” you warned, stepping backward toward the door to leave while he smirked at you in amusement.
“Oh, don’t worry - I’m certain of that.”
* * *
After a week of this charade, you were really getting anxious. You were starting to flinch at every little sound, every rapid movement anyone made in your direction. Even when it wasn’t Loki you were interacting with, you couldn’t help but feel uneasy. The anticipation was literally driving you insane.
You entered the training room that morning ready to release some of your stress in your sparring session. Unfortunately, Steve had started noticing over the last few days that you and Loki were in the middle of some sort of conflict, and so he assigned the two of you as sparring partners, telling you to either fight it out or get over whatever it was. Reluctantly, you stepped out onto the sparring mat and faced your opponent, already starting to feel nervous butterflies in your stomach. Loki shot you his characteristic mischievous smirk, ducking into his fighting stance.
“I’ll do my best to make this a fair fight,” he goaded. You mimicked his stance, narrowing your eyes at him across the mat.
“Just get on with it, Loki,” you ordered. You didn’t wait around for him to make the first move, throwing a quick one-two punch which he dodged easily. He countered with a jab toward your ribs, stopping just before he made contact, but it was enough to make you flinch. You aimed a low-sweeping kick at his ankles but missed again as he hopped over your leg. Frustrated, you threw another sloppy punch toward his shoulder, but he grabbed hold of your wrist and yanked you toward him, spinning you around easily and pinning your arm behind your back, his other hand gripping your waist.
“Do you yield?” he asked, his voice low in your ear. You spun back around and yanked your wrist free in one fluid motion, driving him backward by slamming your forearm into his chest.
“Not just yet,” you grunted, grinning as he stumbled from the unexpected force. Loki quickly regained his balance, wasting no time in lunging at you again. This time, he aimed his hand toward your side, causing you to yelp and twist awkwardly to avoid his touch.
“Did Natasha teach you that move? Your form is getting sloppy.”
“You know exactly what made me move like that,” you muttered, jumping back on the offensive and landing a couple of blows to his shoulder. He retaliated with a jab straight at your stomach, stopping his own momentum early enough that he merely tapped his fist against your belly. You doubled over, wrapping both arms around your torso protectively.
“It seems your fighting skills require quite a bit of work.”
“Damnit, Loki!” you shouted, unable to take it anymore. “If you’re going to do it, just do it!”
“I’m not sure what you mean,” he replied, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“Oh, you know exactly what I mean. You’ve been finding every excuse to lean toward me or make a sudden move in my direction to make me think you’re going to do it. I can’t stand it anymore!” You didn’t quite realize how loudly you were shouting at this point, causing heads to turn in your direction without your noticing. “I know this was all part of your grand plan, to drive me insane with anticipation. You win! I give! Just… get it over with already, please!”
In one swift motion, Loki tackled you flat on your back onto the mat, arms pinned over your head. You felt your stomach somersault, partially from the sudden drop to the floor and partially from the wide smirk on Loki’s face as he hovered over you.
“Well, since you asked so nicely…” Loki released both of your wrists and latched both hands to your sides, squeezing rapidly. You burst into uncontrollable laughter at the agonizingly ticklish sensation. Even Loki seemed somewhat taken aback by your reaction. “No wonder you were so concerned; the spider boy certainly wasn’t lying.”
“Damn you Peteheher!!!” you groaned through your laughter. At this point, everyone in the room had stopped what they were doing to see what the sudden commotion was about. You could feel your face burning, knowing everyone’s eyes were on you as Loki tickled you senseless.
You couldn’t bring yourself to fight back very hard, though; after all, you’d been waiting for this to happen for an entire week. You hoped it didn’t seem too obvious. You didn’t dwell on it for long, though, as Loki’s fingers crawled up to your ribs, depriving you of all coherent thought.
“Do you regret spreading humiliating rumors about me yet?” he teased, his smirk widening.
“N-no!”
“Tsk, tsk, wrong answer, darling,” Loki shook his head in mock disappointment, his hands darting back down to your sides so he could dig his thumbs into your hips.
“Lo… Loki… wahahait!” you pleaded, shrieking at the new sensation, and swatting feebly at his hands.
“I’m sorry, I’m not comprehending what you’re trying to tell me.” He was laughing now, clearly enjoying himself as he made you squirm under his torturous fingers. “Come, now, darling; I know you can fight better than that.” You shook your head rapidly, grasping weakly at his wrists. He moved to scribble lightly into your belly, trying to allow you the chance to talk while still keeping you giggling. “Use your words, love.”
“I-I cahahan’t!” you protested.
“You can’t? Or you’ve chosen not to?” Your eyes widened a bit, realizing he’d caught on to you. “Are you enjoying this?”
Blushing furiously, you rolled abruptly to the side to break his hold and scrambled to your feet, gasping for breath. Loki stood as well, staring you down for just a moment before lunging toward you. You turned and began to run, but the god easily caught up to you, grabbing hold of your arm and yanking you backward so he could trap you in what you could only describe as a bear hug.
“You didn’t answer my question.”
“Um…” Your heart was pounding in your chest from both exertion and embarrassment. “No? That would be… that would be weird.”
“On the contrary; I find it amusing. Dare I say… endearing, even.”
“Really..? Are you sure-” You were cut off by your own hysterical laughter as Loki dug his fingertips into your ribs, tickling you with renewed vigor. With your arms pinned to your sides and your back pressed flush against his chest, there was very little hope of you escaping this time.
“Surely you understand the implications of this newfound knowledge, dear? You’ve provided me with the perfect excuse to torment you whenever I’d like.”
“Stohohop teasing… LOKIHIHI!” you pleaded, your knees going weak as his fingers darted up and down your sides. You’d completely forgotten about everyone else in the room at this point, your mind going fuzzy. The only thing keeping you standing upright at this point was Loki holding your weight up as he tortured you.
By the time he released you from his hold, your stomach hurt from laughing so hard, and tears of mirth blurred your vision. It had been quite some time since anyone had tickled you like that. Heat still prickled in your cheeks, but you felt happy, nonetheless.
“Damn. Now I know how to cheer you up when you’re moping around the tower,” Tony quipped, walking past you and patting your shoulder as everyone finally returned to their own training exercises.
“Shut up, Tony,” you groaned, hiding your face in your hands. A swift poke in the sides made you jerk both arms down away from your face.
“I do believe we’re even,” Loki stated, smirking.
“Fine. We’re even. Now – can we finish our sparring match? Without cheating this time?” You shoved his shoulder playfully to emphasize your point. He only grinned wider.
“Darling, I refuse to make promises that I don’t intend to keep.”

Birthdays through the years (Diluc x reader)
.........*years ago*.........
You stood in front of the large doors of the Dawn Winery, your hands fiddling with the wrapped box with both nervousness and excitement. You really hope that your best friend Diluc would like the gift. You jumped a little when the door opened, revealing Crepus who saw you and gave a warm smile.
“Ah, you arrived. Diluc has been anxiously waiting for you, (y/n).” Crepus said, opening the door for you. As you walked in, Crepus called out for his son, who immediately ran out from a room. Large red eyes widened with excitement and ran into you to hug you tightly, squishing your cheeks together.
“(y/n)! I’m so happy you came!” He cried out with a big smile. You laughed as well, pulling back a little and petting his fluffy red hair. The two of you left Crepus to head into the dining room where his adopted brother, Kaeya was waiting in and gave you a small wave. Despite being the son of a famous man in Mondstadt, Diluc preferred having small birthdays with his family and best friend. You came from a humble family who worked with Crepus for a time. During that time, you often visited the Dawn Winery with your parents where you met the brothers and became close friends with them. You and Diluc became especially close to which you two never seemed to separate.
“(y/n) look at this. Kaeya and father made me this for my birthday.” Diluc said as the both of you sat down and he pointed to a white cake with red frosting, two slices cut out for the brothers.
“Wow, that looks delicious.” You complimented, causing the blue hair boy to blush shyly. A maid proceeded to cut you a slice so you decided to pass Diluc your present. “Here Diluc. I hope you like it.” Diluc thanked you and took the present, opening it rather quickly. Kaeya peeked over a little as Diluc pulled out a red gem attached through a gold rope. “My mom taught me how to make it. It’s supposed to go around your collar, like a necklace.” You explained, feeling a little nervous as Diluc stared at the present.
“This is really pretty. Thank you, (y/n).” Diluc thanked with a bright smile, immediately relieving you of all the anxiousness you’ve been feeling.
.........*a few years later*.........
Time passed and much has changed in your life. You started taking a liking to making trinkets and jewellery. You have made a number, including a blue earring for your friend Kaeya, and women started to take notice of them and wanted some for themselves. Thus you became quite well-known in Mondstadt and noticeably grew more independent from the nervous child you were before.
As you busied with your hobby-turned-job, Diluc and Kaeya grew to be strong young men who joined the Knights of Favonius. You knew it was a dream of Diluc considering the number of times you played knights with the two of them. And you were happy to see him rise up well, gaining much respect and admiration among the other knights. Kaeya seemed to have just tagged along with his brother but he too made a name for himself as a man with wits and skills.
Despite not being able to spend as much time together as when you were kids, you and Diluc still had a strong relationship. When you were both free, you would meet on a quiet grassy hill to talk about your lives. Diluc would share about his training with the knights and the people who he has met, including the successor of the Gunnhildr Clan Jean. You shared about the new materials from different regions which you tested making trinkets with, sharing how you would love to travel to those places yourself one day. No matter how tired Diluc was from training, he always seemed to make time for you. You were after all a dear friend of his and he liked the idea of having you involved in his life.
Every time you two talked, you always noticed the red gem hanging around Diluc’s neck. A present from you which he has held dear to all those years. It was just one of the quiet actions which the boy has done to show how much he appreciated your company. Other than that, many have noticed how much happier Diluc seemed when he was with you. Crepus liked to joke about how he felt relieved of leaving the Dawn Winery one day to the both of you, to which made the both of you shy about the thought.
Though, Diluc never once denied it.
Speaking of the Dawn Winery, you were right now decorating the living room for Diluc and Crepus’ arrival. It was Diluc’s coming of age ceremony and you wanted to give him a surprise when he returns home. So you came early and worked with the staff to get everything ready. You headed to the couch where you rummaged through your bag and pulled out a small package. It was a handmade lanyard which you hoped would be useful for Diluc with his new rank as captain. You were thrilled when Diluc shared the news and you immediately went to work on this as your way to say congratulations.
You smiled to yourself and placed the present on the table, waiting with the rest of the staff for the masters of the house. But all of you would have never guessed the horrible incident which would change everything which seemed normal.
.........*current year*.........
It was late at night in the Angel Share and the red hair bartender was cleaning the last of the glasses for the day. He had gotten a good amount of information for his personal mission and was ready to head back home to prepare for his quest. He heard the door opened and was about to remark about the tavern being closed when he saw who was standing by the door and his eyes widened slightly.
“Diluc. I’m glad to catch you before you left.” You said as you pulled down your hood and walked over to the bar seat.
“You know the bar is open during the day, right?” Diluc remarked, placing the glass on the tabletop.
“There’s too many people during that time. This is the only time I can talk to you without anyone bothering us.” You said. Diluc hummed in response and went to the bottle shelf. Meanwhile you quietly observed him, smiling softly. It had been three years since the unfortunate incident and it changed your lives.
Obviously Diluc became more distant and somewhat cold, an irony of his Pyro vision. The death of his father and his leave from the Knights of Favonius made you see him less, sometimes not at all. You tried to reach out to him but something told you to keep your distance for the time being, only showing your silent support on the sides.
It was only when Diluc needed help with a commission and he knew that you usually travelled across lands for your job. He trusted you and let you in on private affairs of his, including his persona as the Darknight Hero. You jumped at the chance to help him in any way you could, which included gathering intel from people of different cities and bringing new materials back to the Dawn Winery.
Because of that, the two of you begun to spend more time together. Your more optimistic nature and light talk of what you’ve seen in your travels slowly broke the walls of Diluc’s heart and the man started to become himself around you. You counted the times he managed a small smile in front of you, being happy with yourself every time he did.
“How was your trip to Liyue?” Diluc asked as he passed you a glass of your favourite drink.
“It was great. Working with the jewellers there was inspirational. Plus the experience of their culture was a nice refresher.” You answered and took a sip of your drink. “Also, I got some good information about the Abyss.”
“Sounds good. We’ll talk about more about it back in the Winery.” Diluc nodded and said. You both shared a silent moment with short chats for a while before you remembered something.
“I almost forgot. I got you something.” You went through your bag before pulling out a parcel. “It’s a speciality tea from Liyue. I know you don’t like alcohol so I thought you might like to try this.” Diluc took the parcel and a nice natural aroma wafted into his nose.
“It smells good. I’ll have someone make tea for us when we return.” You nodded and hopped over the counter to wash your empty glass. As you were, you jumped a little when strong arms wrapped around your waist and a warm breath hit the crook of your neck. You couldn’t help but smile, knowing how touchy Diluc actually is when in private. And judging by his action, it would seem that someone missed you.
“You know, I only managed to come back this quickly because it’s your birthday tomorrow. I know you don’t see the need to celebrate it but do you think you want to do something special? Just the two of us.” A small smile formed on Diluc’s face and he lifted his head to place a feather-like kiss on your forehead.
“I would really enjoy that.”

~
Loki had only been partially right the night before - you did have a slight headache when you woke, but it wasn't nearly as bad as he had made it seem like it would be. It's nothing a couple of aspirin can't cure, You thought as you rubbed the sleep from your eyes.
"Well look who finally decided to get up." Your head snapped to the side, your fiancé's voice startling you. "Did you have fun?"
You sighed. "What are you on about now?"
"As if you don't know," He scoffed. "Bringing that God back to our room, flirting with him, kissing him."
"For fuck's sake, Ben, he kissed my cheek," You retorted. "I'd had a bit too much to drink so he walked me back to our room."
Ben was visibly seething. "Is he better than me? Is that it? Are you going to leave me for him now?"
"God, what is wrong with you?" You snapped. "I only just met him last night!"
"What's wrong with me?" Ben shouted, grabbing you by the arm and yanking you off the bed. "I'm not the one behaving like some depraved whore! That's all you, Y/N!"
You rolled your eyes. "Oh, yeah, because you eye-fucking Nat last night totally wasn't worse than a kiss on the cheek."
The force behind the resounding crack that followed was enough to knock you to the floor. Your eyes watered as you held a hand to your burning cheek, the sour taste of iron filling your mouth as your head spun trying to process what just happened.
Touching a finger to your lip, it came away bloody, and you looked up at your fiancé in shock. "Did you just hit me?"
Immediately, Ben's face softened as he dropped to his knees in front of you. "Baby, I am so sorry, I- I didn't mean to!" He kissed your forehead and pet your hair. "You know I didn't mean to do that, right? I just… You made me so angry, it wasn't my fault! I- All I could picture was Loki kissing you, and-"
"Ben, stop," You said, too in shock to cry. "Stop it."
"And then you said I was eye-fucking Nat, when you know I wasn't, right baby?" He continued. "You were just being jealous, and maybe you aren't as hot as she is but if I wanted her then I wouldn't be with you, okay? I love you."
You looked at him in disbelief. "Maybe I'm not as hot as she is, Ben?" You asked coldly.
"Baby, come on, don't be like that," He scoffed. "It's okay, I'm not going to go after her, I love you."
Shaking your head, you scooted away. "You love me?"
His eyes welled up with tears. "Don't make me beg, please? I love you, Y/N. I didn't mean it, I promise. You know I wouldn't have done that if you hadn't made me so angry, don't you?"
Your resolve broke at the sight of Ben crying, and you placed a hand to his cheek. "Please don't cry," You said softly.
"Let's just forget this ever happened, okay?" He said. "Don't tell anybody, then they'll think I'm an awful person and they'll try to make you leave me, and you don't want that, do you?"
"No," You sighed. "I know you didn't mean to, Ben. I'm sorry I made you so angry, it won't happen again."
He smiled, kissing you roughly. "I know baby. We're leaving today anyway, so let's just get packed up, and-"
"I'm going to take a shower," You interrupted. "Then I'll help pack, okay?" Ben nodded as you stood, and started to follow you to the bathroom until you turned around. "Alone, please."
His smile faltered, but he nodded. "Okay, I'll just pack it all up myself then, I guess."
"Ben, I'll help when I get out-"
"No, just go enjoy your shower alone," He said harshly before turning around and throwing your things into suitcases. You let out a sigh and walked into the bathroom, shutting and locking the door behind you.
Walking over to the mirror, you inspected your cheek. There was a very prominent angry red handprint, already starting to bruise, and blood was dripping from your split lip. You felt tears burn behind your eyes as you started the shower, undressing slowly before stepping in. You noticed bruises on your wrist and arm beginning to form as well, and it was like the floodgates had burst open as tears poured from your eyes.
You sat on your knees on the floor of the tub, hunched over as you tried to sob as quietly as possible. You didn't bother with actually washing yourself, you just sat there and cried until you had no tears left and the water went cold.
Turning off the water, you wrapped your body in a towel and grabbed a second one to dry your hair, ignoring the pain in your wrist as you did so. The bruise on your cheek would be easy to hide with makeup, and you could cover the bruises on your arm with long sleeves, but your split lip was another thing entirely.
I'll have to come up with a story to explain that, You thought as you went about your routine. You splashed some cold water on your face, hoping to get rid of the puffiness of your eyes, and then brushed your teeth (and in doing so, reopened the cut on your lip). After it had stopped bleeding, you began layering concealer on your cheek to cover the bruise, trying to take your time before you had to face your fiancé again.
Even with all of your stalling, you were soon finished in the bathroom, and walked back into your room to find Ben sitting on the bed, suitcases unpacked, with a sour look on his face.
"What's the matter?" You asked. "I thought you said you were going to start packing while I was in the shower."
He huffed. "There's a snowstorm moving in, we're not going to be able to leave for at least another few days."
You tried not to show the relief that poured through you at the news. "I'm sorry baby, I know how much you wanted to go home today. This could be a good thing, though-"
"How is it a good thing?" He snapped. "I don't want to have to stay here, with that slimy snake Loki just waiting to get his filthy paws on you."
"You're right, I'm sorry," You replied quickly. "I was just trying to see a silver lining, but I guess there is none."
"Whatever," He grumbled. "We'll just stay in here."
You raised a brow at him. "Baby, if I have a few more days to spend with my brother, then I want to spend them with him, not hiding in my room." You saw him stiffen, and knew he was getting upset so you quickly continued, "Besides, would that not be suspicious, if we stayed holed up in here for days?"
He sighed. "I guess you're right. Just… Stay away from Loki, if I catch that weasel anywhere near you, I'll kill him."
Deciding that now would not be a good time to mention that he, a normal human man, could not kill a magic wielding God, you simply nodded. "Okay, I'll stay away from him. Let's.. Let me get dressed, and we can go eat breakfast, alright?"
He rolled his eyes, but nodded, and you quickly picked out an oversized, cream coloured turtleneck and black fitted jeans, throwing them on after putting on clean knickers.
"Are you ready?" You asked, and he nodded. The two of you walked to the kitchen together, where you were greeted by your brother, who was very obviously nursing a hangover.
"How are you feeling, Tony?" You asked. "You must have one hell of a hangover, because you look like absolute crap."
He chuckled dryly. "I'm surprised you don't, Y/N, what with all that Asgardian wine you drank last night."
You felt Ben stiffen beside you, but you didn't dare look up at him. "It's nothing that a couple of aspirin won't fix," You replied, looking for something to change the subject. "Did Pepper make breakfast? It smells amazing in here."
"Yes she did," Tony said. "She just finished, went all out since you two are here. The whole shebang."
You smiled. "Well, I'm going to go check if she could use a hand setting the table or anything. Ben, you can stay here and catch up with Tony, tell him about your new job."
Giving your fiancé a quick kiss on the cheek, you escaped to the dining room, where you found Pepper laying plates down in front of the seats at the table. "Hey! Do you need a hand?"
"Oh, no, Y/N, you're our guest," She said, smiling warmly. "I'd never ask you to- Your lip! What happened?"
You felt anxiety prick at your chest as you forced a smile. "I'm a pretty rough sleeper, I must have smacked myself. But please, you put so much effort into cooking, it's the least I can do."
You felt a wave of relief crash over you as she accepted your explanation and handed you the rest of the plates. When you had finished putting them out, you helped her carry the food from the kitchen, and Tony wasn't kidding when he said she made the whole shebang - French toast, eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, crêpes, and fresh fruits.
"That's everything," Pepper said, setting down two pitchers of orange juice. "Thank you for your help, Y/N."
"Of course," You said, smiling warmly. "Is JARVIS going to let the others know breakfast is ready?"
"Yes," Tony said, walking in with Ben. "But I'm starved, so I'm not going to wait for them."
You and Pepper laughed as the four of you sat down, and you filled your plate with some French toast, fruit, and hash browns as more of the Avengers began to trickle into the dining room.
Everyone chatted amicably amongst each other, giving much deserved compliments to Pepper on her cooking, but you could feel Ben seething next to you. What had Tony said to him that would have made him angry all over again? It couldn't have just been about you drinking that wine, could it?
Whilst you were eating, the cut on your lip reopened once again, and you had to excuse yourself to the kitchen to clean it up. Dabbing a paper towel to your lip, Loki meandered into the kitchen from the hall, eyeing you.
"What happened?" He asked, eyes staring at your split lip and noticing the faint discolouration on your cheek.
"I'm a rough sleeper," You said. "I must have hit myself in the mouth while I was asleep or something."
"Did you hit your cheek as well?" He asked.
You looked away from his intense gaze. "I don't know what you're talking about," You replied quickly.
He was about to reply when Ben walked into the room, his eyes immediately falling on Loki. If looks could kill, Loki would be dust on the floor - but, to be fair, so would Ben.
"What do you want?" Ben snapped. "Here to mack on my fiancé some more are you?"
Loki looked at you, and you looked at Ben. "It wasn't like that, Ben, we'd all had a lot to drink last night."
"Yeah, I know you kissed him first," Ben said, his voice thick with barely-suppressed rage. "Tony told me."
You froze, looking at him in shock. "It was on the cheek!" You hissed. "Ben, please just stop this!"
"What's the problem?" Thor asked, walking into the kitchen.
Ben visibly paled, and his shoulders sagged. "Nothing," He said, obviously defeated. "I was just leaving."
"What happened?" Thor asked after Ben left. "He seemed upset, is he okay?"
"He's fine," Loki said quickly. "I provoked him."
A look of understanding came over Thor's face. "Ah, yes, well that does make sense. You need to stop that, brother."
Loki nodded, and Thor went back in the dining room. Turning back to you, Loki looked at you expectantly.
"I do believe you owe me an explanation," Loki said. "That is twice now that I have witnessed your fiancé speak to you in such a manner."
"I don't know what you're on about," You huffed.
Loki stepped closer to you. "Have you forgotten that I am the God of Lies? You cannot lie to me, I will know."
"Well, you're wrong." You turned away from him. He grabbed your chin and forced you to look at him.
"Your lip is split open, your cheek is bruised, that oaf you call a fiancé speaks to you like you are his property, and twice now I have had to step in to cover for you." His blue eyes bore into yours, and you were at a loss for words.
Taking a deep breath, you exhaled slowly. "I don't know what you want me to say, Loki. You don't know what you're talking about. Ben would never intentionally hurt me, he loves me."
"So he's unintentionally hurt you, then?" Loki asked, catching on to your careful choice of words.
You pulled your chin away from his grasp. "I would appreciate it if you would stop interrogating me and allow me to finish my breakfast," You said. "You're welcome to join."
You plastered a smile on your face as you walked back into the dining room, ignoring the dread seeping into the pit of your stomach. Ben was livid, that much was obvious, but you tried to convince yourself that there was no way he would repeat the events of that morning.
     Right?

Tim was in the middle of a particularly boring meeting when a tiny buzz in his pocket alerted him that Marinette had left the house.
He blinked a little and, after mumbling a quick apology, pulled out his phone to silence it.
He couldn’t tell where she was going right then, it was too early to tell, but he noted absently that she was walking a little faster than normal. He shook his head to himself and resolved to check again once the meeting was over.
But he didn’t have to!
His secretary rushed in just as his last business partner left. She looked frazzled. “I tried to keep them out but they insisted and --!”
“Who? What? Janet, what’s wrong --?”
His attention was quickly pulled away from her, though, because Marinette was stumbling through the threshold.
He rushed forward to catch her on instinct, slipping his arms around her tightly. “Bean?”
She pulled her face out of his chest and smiled awkwardly at him. “Uh… hi, darling. Hate to disturb you during work, but...”
Tim frowned, concerned. He didn’t think she was clumsy (and he would have noticed by now if she was) and, now that he was looking, she looked a little pale. Was she sick? Did she even get sick?
And then he noticed someone standing in the doorway she had stumbled through -- no, she had been pushed through it, he thought as he took in the blond’s cold expression. Tim’s frown deepened and his grip tightened on his girlfriend.
Then, the blond sighed. “I’m Adrien, her friend from Paris. Don’t know if she’s told you about me, though.”
Tim’s eyes narrowed just a little. “Janet, it’s my lunchtime, right?”
“Yes, sir,” she said, looking between the three of them with barely concealed interest.
“Great. Lock the door behind yourself, please.”
Janet seemed a little put out but nodded and went to do what he asked without complaint. He made a mental note to give the poor girl a raise.
He waited until he heard the familiar click of the lock before turning his gaze back onto Adrien. The blond’s scowl had deepened. Tim bit his lip anxiously, considering what deescalation method would be best, but he didn’t know enough yet. He decided to just wait a little longer before doing anything. Marinette was safe in his arms and Adrien was still a little away so there wasn’t any immediate danger as far as he was aware.
“So, you do know his schedule, then?” Adrien asked.
Marinette wouldn’t quite look at the man. “We live in the same house.”
“Did you know before you were living in the same house?” He pressed.
She didn’t answer.
Adrien scoffed a little, shaking his head. “Of course. I knew I should have kept you in Paris where I could see you.”
Well, that’s a little controlling, a tiny part of Tim piped up. He would have said it aloud, too, but there was something bugging him about the blond. He couldn’t place it, but he was pretty sure he recognized him from somewhere...
It clicked and he took a half-step back with Marinette still silent in his arms. “Agreste, right?”
The blond winced. “Dupain-Cheng now,” Adrien said carefully. “In everything but name, at least, I’m still waiting to see if I can get a name change.”
Tim glanced down at Marinette for confirmation and she quirked her lips upward, which was bat for ‘yes’.
He relaxed just a little and let her go now that he knew it was safe. Okay. So, this was just her friend -- no, her brother -- and apparently he was annoyed about something. Their relationship, maybe, since he had brought her to Tim’s work.
… oh, shit, maybe this was Chat Noir. Tim’s eyes flicked down to where the ring usually was in pictures and, yep, that was the same ring but in white. That explained how he’d gotten there quickly despite the fact that he had to be on the no-fly list with a father like that.
But his anger seemed focused on Marinette, which was odd. Tim had figured it would be pretty even.
Tim cracked a grin. “Nice to meet you. You could have just called, though.”
Adrien looked a little sheepish, now, stuffing his hands in his pockets. “What I need to tell you isn’t really the kind of thing you can tell someone over the phone.”
“I meant a call for an appointment. You’re my girlfriend’s brother, I obviously would have wanted to meet you in person.”
He snickered. “You’d be the first. Most people don’t want to meet the family for a good long while.”
Tim shrugged. “I would have liked to know when you’d appear. Easier to prepare that way.”
“I see.”
There was a beat as the two men sized each other up before Adrien sighed and leaned back against the door. “I guess it’s easier to show you than explain it to you.”
Tim watched with interest as Adrien pulled an object from his ear and tossed it over. He caught it easily and turned the object in his fingers. It was like his comm but it was red with black polka-dots.
Oh. He knew what this was.
He handed it over to Marinette without even bothering to listen (Who wants to hear their own voice? No one. Ew.).
“Yeah, she listens in on all of my conversations, I know.”
Marinette and Adrien both froze up, then turned their gazes on him in shock. Tim might have laughed if Adrien’s expression didn’t morph into a horrified look.
“You… you know I planted bugs on you?” Asked Marinette tentatively.
“I’ve known since day one -- I think. Or, at least, near day one,” said Tim with a shrug. He pointed over at the flower on his desk, the bug hidden in the petals. “I don’t mind, though, that’s just part of being a vigilante, in my opinion.”
“You’re a --? Nevermind, that’s not the point here.” He sighed and shook his head. “No, it’s not. She does this to all her crushes.”
“I do it to anyone I care about.”
Adrien seemed to think he was insane.
Marinette, however, was nodding vigorously. “See?! I told you! It’s a thing!”
“It’s a thing,” agreed Tim. “Everyone in my family does it, too, though we tend to prefer trackers and following people to auditory bugs…”
“What the heck?” Muttered Adrien.
Tim continued on despite this: “Even Duke does it sometimes, and he’s the closest thing we have to sane, so it’s probably okay.”
Adrien pinched the bridge of his nose and glared at nothing for a while, clearly thinking hard about how to approach this. Tikki floated out of Marinette’s purse to go over and pet his hair in an attempt at comfort. It wasn’t working, but at least someone tried. Eventually, he pulled out his phone.
“Stalking: the act or crime of willfully and repeatedly following or harassing another person in circumstances that would cause a reasonable person to fear injury or death especially because of express or implied threats.”
“... I haven’t followed or harassed him,” said Marinette.
“And I’m trying to prevent injury or death. Have you met Marinette? Leave her alone for too long and she will find a new way to get herself killed.”
Marinette huffed. “Like you’re any different. I can already count at least three major villains that you regularly piss off and I’ve only lived here a few months.”
“One of the first things you said to any of us was that you had broken your leg but it was fine. I have reason to be concerned.”
Adrien groaned. “We’re getting off topic here, guys. The point is that this is the textbook definition of stalking --.”
“But neither of us feel even a little bit uncomfortable about it,” Marinette argued.
“That would cause a reasonable person to fear injury or death. Clearly, neither of you are reasonable.”
Tim shook his head. “That’s not really what the reasonable person clause is for. It’s for people that are trying to get money over nothing.”
“It still applies!”
Tikki shook her head. “Adrien, they’re not going to get it.”
“But they need to.”
“We’re still here, y’know,” said Tim. Marinette waved her arms in the air to see if they had somehow gone invisible.
“They don’t want to,” Tikki explained gently, ignoring them.
Alright, they were going around in circles it seemed and Adrien and Tikki weren’t responding well to their current arguments… so, new arguments were needed. A short recess was called so the two teams could discuss their rebuttals in opposite corners of the room. When had this turned into a debate? Who knows.
They decided to go after morality first (it seemed like the best bet since they were all vigilantes): “Bean, you’re happy, right?”
“Yep. You?”
“Of course. Happier than I was when I was single, that’s for sure.”
Marinette blushed a little and laced her fingers with his. “Great. Me too. Now, Adrien, don’t you want us to be happy?”
Adrien scoffed. “Okay, no, you don’t get to do that. I obviously want you to be happy but I don’t want you to be in an unhealthy relationship. Because that’s what this is: unhealthy.”
“Unusual doesn’t necessarily mean unhealthy,” said Marinette with a frown.
“No, it doesn’t, but… listening in on his private conversations? Following and tracking her? Don’t you think that maybe you should be setting more firm boundaries with each other?”
“... nah,” said Tim.
“How about this: if he crosses a line I’ll tell him.”
“You don’t have lines and that’s the problem!”
Tim shook his head. “Adrien, I can tell you’re trying to help but, really, it’s fine.”
… fine. Time for their last real argument.
“Would you prefer we ‘stalk’ some random civilian?” Asked Tim. “Or you? Don’t you think it’s best we’re together rather than with some person who wouldn’t be able to deal with ‘stalkers’?”
“Sure, but it would be better if you worked on yourselves before getting into relationships,” said Tikki with a sigh.
Marinette groaned. “Gods, this is never going to work. It’s a love language, Adrien, why can’t you just understand that?”
“Love?!” Tim and Adrien said in unison, though the expressions on their faces couldn’t be more different.
“You love me?” Asked Tim.
Marinette’s face flared red. “I -- uh -- um --... yeah…?”
Holy shit, he's won at life.
“I love you, too,” he said quietly.
“It’s only been a few months, what the heck?” Adrien whisper-yelled. They ignored him.
Marinette pulled him down by the front of his shirt for a short kiss. Then, she split into a grin. “I said it first.”
“Not really, I did,” said Tim, smiling fondly.
“No no no I did. I have two witnesses to testify. You said ‘too’, I win.”
“Hm. Nope.”
“You can’t just --!” She huffed. “Stop smiling like that, it's hard to argue with you.”
He only smiled wider. She pouted until he pecked her lips.
Adrien dropped into one of the business chairs and hung his head.
“... I think I made it worse, somehow.”
Tikki patted his hair again.
~
Adrien ended up accepting them, albeit a little reluctantly. Marinette and Tim were right, after all: it was better that they ‘stalked’ each other rather than some random person who could/would take it worse.
Now, apparently, it was time for the shovel talk.
“Her parents are huge softies so this falls to me. You’d better not hurt her. She may be an idiot and a stalker --”
“Hey!”
“-- but she is still my sister.”
Tim gave a tiny smile. “Yeah, I get it. You’ll kill me if I hurt her and, since you have the power of destruction, there won’t be any way to bring me back.”
“Oh, not quite. I’m going to ‘randomly misplace my ring’ and whatever happens while my ring is ‘missing’ is up to whoever happens to find it. You’d better hope that whatever you did was small enough that Mari would be merciful.”
Tim swallowed thickly. “Ah. I see.”
Adrien smiled a smile worthy of the model that he was and clapped Tim on the back. “Welcome to the family!”
“Yeah… yay…”
Marinette crossed her arms over her chest. “Are you done threatening my boyfriend?”
“No. If she --.” Adrien cut himself off with a laugh at the glare she sent him. “Kidding, kidding. Do you want some of Pere’s food.”
“Obviously. Tim, do you want some?”
Tim hesitated. Marinette tried not to laugh at how carefully he considered the question, as if he thought it was some kind of test and not two people trying to make up for taking up his lunch period.
“... sure?”
“Cool. Macaroons?”
Marinette scowled. “If you get us passionfruit macaroons I swear to the kwamis --.”
“Yeah, yeah, you’ll implement a systematic takedown of both me and everything I love, I get it. I’ll grab the tea ones you like.”
Tim raised his eyebrows. “You have contingencies for your friends? What’s mine?”
“... you do realize you have no powers, right?”
“Can’t believe even my own girlfriend underestimates me --.”
“I could drop an elephant on you and call it a day if I really felt like it.”
Tim paled. “I regret asking.”
~
Tim was sick the next day. That was kind of on him for forgetting that America has weirdly intense food safety standards, which meant food from other countries would likely mess him up. Also, he had no spleen. Wild that he had forgotten that but, nonetheless, there he was.
He groaned and buried his face in the pillow. How was it possible to feel cold and hot at the same time?
He heard the quiet creak of the floorboards and carefully opened one eye.
Marinette stood at the end of the bed, frown on her face, glass of water and a bowl of soup in each of her hands.
He reached a shaky hand for her and she handed him the water. He grumbled a little but his mouth was pretty dry, so he took it.
Once she was satisfied with his water-drinking, she took a seat beside him with the soup. When he made no move to eat it she rolled her eyes and set it aside temporarily in favor of pulling him on top of her. He smiled and rested his head on her stomach.
“You’re cute when you’re sick, maybe Adrien should bring over Pere’s food more often.”
He frowned. “But... work.”
“Don’t give me more reasons to do it,” she teased lightly.
When he pouted she leaned down to press a kiss to his lips. He stopped her with a hand.
“I’m sick.”
“And I’m a meta with an enhanced immune system that wants to kiss her dumbass boyfriend.”
He huffed a little but he didn’t try to stop her when she tried to kiss him a second time. He smiled and buried his face in her stomach, looping his arms around her like she was a pillow.
“How’d you know I was sick?” He asked after a few moments.
She snickered. “Well, I woke up and you were really warm instead of cold.”
“I’m cold?” Tim asked and, despite knowing that it was just a fact, he felt extremely insulted. Damian’s insults had nothing on the fact that his skin was, apparently, cold.
She smiled a little and pet his hair despite the fact that it was probably pretty gross at the moment. “It’s fine. I’m usually pretty warm so it balances out.”
“Awwwww, we reach thermodynamic equilibrium together,” he joked quietly. He let himself sink into her, closing his eyes.
She gave a tiny laugh. “Wow. Romance.”
He smiled. “It is.”
“Hm.” She pet his hair for a few moments longer before pulling them away. “Right, c’mon, get up. I made Alfred teach me to make your favorite kind of soup.”
He blinked an eye open. “Alfred? He knows?”
“Alfred knows everything, I think,” Marinette half-joked. She handed him the bowl and he sat up to eat some. “But I’m pretty sure everyone else at least suspects it, too. I followed all of you bats on Twitter, after all, and I only know a few of you out of costume.”
He nodded his understanding. “So all the secrets are out.”
“Yep. Now I don’t have to worry about accidentally calling people the wrong names when we’re all just hanging out. Still don’t know how you keep it all straight.”
“Nicknames, mostly. Less likely to slip up. Also Dick’s name works for both.”
Her lips twitched. “Yeah. I’m sure that’s why he uses the name Dick.”
“He never answered, y’know, when I said he had a degradation kink. You might be onto something,” he joked.
She grinned now. “I’m always right.”
“Hm. Sure.”
“Glad you agree. Now eat your soup.”
His grin dropped into a pout. “But my stomach hurts.”
“You’re sick, you need your energy to heal. Eat.”
He groaned but reluctantly took the soup when she pushed it into his hands.
~
She glanced over at the kid that they had taken in. They liked to stick around while Marinette made the food and, if possible, make it herself. She was pretty sure she was checking to make sure they didn’t drug her but Marinette didn’t mind. If it made the kid feel safer then she didn’t see why she wouldn’t allow it.
Now, the kid was mumbling curses in Russian.
She tipped her head to the side. She could chide her about her language but, considering the fact that it was in a language that she couldn’t conceivably understand, she let it go in favor of asking: “What’s wrong?”
“… I can still smell jalapeño on my fingers but my eye itches.”
“Oh.” Marinette handed her a towel. “Alright, Rordan, rub your eye with the side your hand hasn’t touched.”
Rordan wasn’t their actual name, obviously. It was actually Robin (it wasn’t an uncommon name in Gotham or anything, but she and Tim had both had to fight back their amused grins when they had… magically figured it out through completely legal means).
“Yeah, obviously, I’m not stupid.”
She grinned. “I can never be too sure anymore. I’ve cooked with rich kids before and you would be stunned at how little self-preservation instincts they have.”
The kid rolled her eyes. “Can’t be that stupid.”
Tim chose that moment to get off work. He stepped through the door, blinked at the second person in his house, then split into a grin.
“Hey, R...Ronda?” He greeted.
Robin smiled. “Still no.”
“Darn, maybe next time,” he said as if he wasn’t getting it wrong on purpose. He set his scarf on the coat rack and then walked over. “What’s for dinner?”
“For you? A microwaved meal that I’m going to try and pass off as my own cooking.”
Tim huffed. “Bean, come on, it was one time --.”
“And that ‘one time’ is enough to never let you in the kitchen again. C’mon, darling, three steps back.”
Tim groaned but stepped back until he was sitting on the kitchen island.
Robin turned off the burner. “Fajitas are done.”
He pouted playfully. “Can’t believe the kid is allowed to cook and I’m not. I’m an adult!”
“A hazard, that’s what you are,” Marinette teased, smiling. She let Robin set half of the food in her tupperware. “Want to eat with us this time?”
“No thanks.”
Tim nodded. “Alright. See you later?”
Robin glanced back at them from the windowsill. She gave a two finger salute, grinning. “Sure. Bye.”
They watched tiny fingers shut the window behind her before slipping out of view.
She reminded Marinette of an outdoor cat. Kinda just does what she wants and then drops by for food every once in a while; might want affection but probably not, do not approach unless approached; gets in a lot of dumb fights and then comes back with a messed up nose but acts like nothing happened and you’re insane for bringing it up…
Yeah. So, they now have another cat. At least they were both cat people?
Tim grinned as she handed him a plate. “Thanks, Bean. Any progress?”
“Nope,” Marinette said, taking a seat beside him and resting her head on his shoulder. “But she’ll see that we’re safe eventually. I can wait for that.”
He hummed his understanding. “Can’t wait until we make enough progress to be able to eat with her.”
She grinned. “Your bar is too high, darling. It’d be nice if she gave us her actual name.”
“Yeah… I’m still holding out for it, though. She has, what, six years before she is able to legally get a job and won’t need us? We should be able to have food with her once in six years, don’t you think?”
Marinette smiled. “Kwami, I sure hope so.”
~
Tim rested his head on the windowsill, a tiny frown on his face.
They were on a stakeout. According to Sources there was supposed to be a handoff within the next week.
Marinette sat down beside him and pushed himself up some to send her an awkward grin.
She offered him some Oreos from the packet she held.
There was a long silence as they sat there, listening to the warehouse through their comms. The most interesting thing so far had been the fly buzzing past one of their bugs.
“This feels like cheating,” she said with a sigh.
“I know, right?”
She rested her head on his shoulder. “Also you guys’ bugs are better quality than mine and I hate that.”
He snickered. “I can… ‘lose’ some bugs for you if you want.”
“You’d end up ‘losing’ too many.”
He thought for a minute, then shook his head. “Not if we put it in my watch.”
“Doesn’t it get stolen every other week?”
“Sure, but B replaces it all the time. Still more sustainable than bugging every item I wear.”
She thought about it for a minute before smiling at him. “I love you.”
“Love you, too.”
~
Marinette sat in a coffee shop, sipping a cup of coffee as she tried to explain to Kagami Tsurugi that, no, a full ball gown wasn’t possible in three days and that she should have given more warning. The power in their apartment building had gone out while she was talking to a client and her phone had low power so… nearest coffee shop. There was free wifi, places to plug in her phone, and, of course, coffee.
A glance at the time showed that Tim would be off work in about half an hour. Hm. She went alone. She figured she’d see him there, anyways.
She blinked as a hand tapped her on the shoulder, expecting to see Tim, only to find the friendly barista that had given her her coffee. She whispered to Kagami that she needed to hold and lowered the phone a little.
“Here, ma’am, I’m sorry I forgot this earlier. Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?”
Marinette stared at the new drink that had been shoved in her hand. There was some writing on the label.
Dont look now but theres a man watching you.
And an arrow pointing to her right.
Marinette smiled up at the woman. “It’s alright. Thank you.”
The woman didn’t seem all that convinced, so Marinette spun around in her seat. “Darling, you’re being a creep, get over here.”
“I’m not a creep! You were on the phone!” He complained, but he walked over and took a seat across from her.
“Excuses, excuses.”
The poor barista looked so confused.
She sent her a smile. “Thanks for looking out for me.” She handed over a twenty. “For the drink. Keep the change.”
The woman left and Tim pulled out his computer to do some extra work while Marinette finished up her phone call. Then, she smiled at him.
“A random lady found you. You’re off your game.”
He pouted. “I was being obvious on purpose. Wanted to see if you could find me.”
“Maybe I just think you’re cute when you don’t know people are watching you.”
He did little more than raise an eyebrow at her disbelievingly. She grinned and leaned across the table to kiss him on the nose.
After a few second’s thought she pulled out her phone and changed Tim’s name to Spy-derman.
He snickered at the tiny notification, rolling his eyes. “Great.” Then he squinted at the name. “I never asked: why Spiderman?”
She grinned. “Well, the first time we met we met on the roof of a super tall building… but the door was super creaky and loud so all I could imagine was you swinging up there like Spiderman… wait, actually, did you?”
He rolled his eyes again. “You were just too concentrated on your work to hear me.”
“... oh. Well. that’s less fun. I’m choosing to ignore that.” She grinned. “Still can’t believe you called me Frenchie of all things. Did you use all two of your brain cells for that one?”
He gasped as if offended. “It was a reference to that character from The Boys.”
“Of course it was. Fucking nerd.”
He pecked her on the lips. “You love me, though.”
“Hm. Yeah. I do.”
