Ending 17 (Don't Make Me Worry), Scarlet/Victory Ends, and Return End spoilers:
I think it's really interesting how Mr. Stitch acts in the Ending 17 route. As far as I can tell, virtually every character in the game
1) tells the truth. Which if nothing else is probably a game design choice to make things easier, since translating is already a mechanic; determining if someone's lying on top of that would get complicated really damn fast. Diagetically, I think it's since communicating is already difficult (we see with Mr. Human that dif languages are a possibility; plus the locals turning from human to Other), that everyone is already fighting to be understood and lying would make THAT too complicated. Plus there's so many Mistake Ends that the MC can't be the only one getting killed by accident. Communication is important, is my point.
and,
2) almost always operates on basis of consent. There are a few exceptions, but largely the Other people operate on the assumption that the MC knows what she's asking for/consenting to, which comes back to both gameplay and communication.
There are outliers, of course, but they are usually from a character who's either already belligerent, or genuinely trying to help (unf their understanding of "help" isn't always conducive to a functioning human body).
Mr. Gap gets upset when you offer him a heart that you acquired without asking, and he always asks for things from you. He gets annoyed when you say no, but he never pushes it. (He does show up under your sheets, but oh well.)
Mr. Stitch is one of the only characters we've seen who asked for something (see his argument with Mr. Crawling at the first meeting) and, eventually, decides to take it when refused (running away with you).
And this is also the only ending where Mr. Crawling loses his temper. It's the only ending where he stands up (which appears to be extremely difficult for him; he was crawling in the intro, it's probably not just to not intimidate the MC), it's the only ending where he gets violent, and it's the only ending with him not smiling for an entire conversation with the MC. Even when assured of your health and safety, he doesn't smile.
Hell, Mr. Scarletella backs off when Mr. Crawling tells him to (and eventually, when the MC tells him to), even though he's very insistent on Getting the MC.
There seems to be a certain unspoken code amongst the "Monsters", and violating it is a serious breach of conduct.
Edit: Stitch also acts questionable during his "come play" option but it's less obvious than the 17 one.
Edit 2: It just occurred to me that some rooms have doors marked in some way - the tentacle room, the painting's room, and the hair salon come to mind - and those are doors you have to be invited to enter. The latter two you're specifically supposed to knock on and wait for an invitation or you get splatted. So there's definitely a form of etiquette happening, it's sort of like a fae realm but more up front about the murder lmao.

I loved both of ur scarletella hcs 💕 would it be possible to get more with mr crawling?
MR. CRAWLING HC {N/SFW}
a Mr. Crawling x reader list of sfw and nsfw hc. {an : ahh ty! ofc! i love him hes so puppy coded}
warnings!: smut, nsfw, soft sex, switch!reader, cunnilingus, blowjob, public {?}, slight marking, afab and amab genitalia described.
SFW HC
a list of sfw hc on what it would be like to date Mr. Crawling
for starters, Mr. Crawling has got to be the perfect lover out of all of the boys.
hes sweet, caring, and just a touch of yandere. {no where near as much as Mr. Scarletella...}
in a relationship with him, it would be like normal just x10.
he is a very touchy lover. when he is crawling he likes to be as close to you as possible. he says its for your safety but you know its more than that.
at night when you are sleeping, he stays near you constantly. he doesn't need to sleep, but if you let him, he will hold you while you sleep in his arms.
he goes out of his way to find gifts and food for you, even engaging with the others to GET it.
if you choose to take him home, {why wouldnt you...} then he will become almost like a housewife.
hes a fast learner so he can easily figure out how to clean, MAYBE cook, and really anything else. hes such a good boy!
speaking of a good boy.. he LOVES praise. he will do anything he can do just to hear you praise him. it really sets off his endorphins when he hears those sweet sounds of love come out of your mouth.
though he doesn't understand how it works, he likes kisses! he loves pressing his lips to yours or you giving him face kisses, like forehead or cheeks.
his hair is a big thing, he wants you to play with it or experiment with it. if you put his hair in styles, like braids or buns, he will be so happy !!
as for baths, he needs your help to teach him. in the underworld, smell wasnt really prominent too much. and there wasnt really a way for him to stay clean. his skin is sensitive, but he likes when you help wash him. he does enjoy baths!
his biggest concern is his face. he is very insecure about it, so PLEASE constantly remind him and tell him that he isn't ugly.
he gets so giddy at any sort of touches, even accidental.
he has major jealousy issues and gets upset if you talk to other people, so make sure you give him regular attention. {he could never be mad at you hehe}
you could look like/wear ANYTHING and he would think you are the most beautiful thing alive.
NSFW HC
a list of nsfw hcs on your sex life with Mr. Crawling
you might have to teach him what sex even is honestly. being locked up in an abandoned apartment complex with no sexual activity will make it hard to even know what it is.
hes so cute during sex. guaranteed. at first he is surprised you even want to have sex with him, like he is genuinely shocked.
once he is out of his clothes he is already a whimpering mess. still semi worried you are joking.
when i tell you he doesnt last, i mean it. a few thrusts in and he is already cumming. dont worry, he has unlimited stamina, and can go for hours or as long as you want.
after a few times, he learns that he LOVES giving you head. whether afab or amab, he is all up in that.
very submissive during sex, but is still the one manhandling you.
as said earlier, call him a good boy and he could probably just orgasm from that. praise is definitely a huge turn on.
he is a very fast learner {as are all of them}, almost instantly finding those spots inside of you.
he has very long, slim fingers. take that as you will.
he likes having his hair pulled. wants you to grab ahold of it and use him.
anywhere, and anytime you need him, he will be there. he will even find a random corner and go to town on you if you wish.
absolutely would have bloody sex. any blood, doesnt matter.
ill write more another day on a separate fic, for now here is a small paragraph for him going down on you. {could be afab or amab depending on how you look at it}

knocked up too young and wearing a glittery diamond ring on your left hand, you had settled nicely into the role of mrs. cameron. it wasn’t tough, not a hard position to play in the slightest—rafe, or rather your husband—made everything nice and easy for you.
it seemed like it was his biggest desire come true, making sure you and his little girl were taken care of. he liked it actually, more than he admitted, knowing the two of you were fast asleep in bed when he left for work in the morning, doing nothing but relaxing throughout the day.
in fact, he had decided the second you had tearfully confessed that you were pregnant that this was the sort of life you were meant for, the kind of life he was going to give you. you were so scared, he can remember it like it was yesterday—your watery eyes and wet cheeks, the way your hands shook when you pulled out the test to show him.
“i-i-i’m so sorry, i, i thought the pills were enough, everyone says it’s enough-” you were stammering and crying your way into exhausation, something he definitely didn’t like.
“s’okay, kid. nothin’ to cry about.” he was formulating his plan already, being proactive in all matters, thinking ahead to marriage licenses and car seats while you stared down at the positive stick in your palm.
“you’re.. you’re not mad, rafe?” the way you look at him, the world stops spinning. why would he be mad?
“hey, s’done,” he says, hands on your shoulders to steady you, bringing you to the edge of the bed to take a seat. he takes the pregnancy test from your hands, looking down at it himself. “it already happened. can’t take it back. no point in cryin’ over it.”
when you look up with even more tears in your eyes, he’s half convinced he’s said the wrong thing—but it doesn’t faze him, he keeps going.
“hey, hey. what, you thought i wouldn’t take care of you? this is my kid too.”
“i know, i just, i thought you wouldn’t be okay.. with it. having it.” that’s the first and only time he got stern with you through this whole pregnancy.
“hey, don’t talk like that. this is our baby. there’s no question ‘bout havin’ it.” you nod up at him, tears drying as you steady yourself, regain a little composure knowing rafe’s not mad about this little accident. “y’okay now?” you nod again. “good, call your parents. tell ‘em we’re getting married soon.”
“wh-rafe!”
but, like how most things were with rafe, he called the shots and you listened. the two of you got married shortly after, before you were even showing. anyone who even attempted to comment on the hastiness of everything shut up the second rafe stared at them.
you’d be a liar to say you didn’t like it, a fool if you didn’t appreciate how rafe was to you.
he stepped up in every way, better than you could have even tried to put together in your imagination. a place was purchased and had slowly started to become home, with a crib that rafe assembled by himself—though it had taken hours and ended up with the instruction papers all crumbled up in a corner—and baby proofed cabinets and sockets. you laugh watching rafe try to install the baby gate on the staircase.
“you know that’s for when they start crawling, right?” you giggle, a hand on your very pregnant belly.
“shut up. m’being proactive. gonna have no time once she actually gets here and we’re runnin’ around changing diapers and makin’ formula and shit.”
you’re only a touch surprised with how well-versed he is with all the baby stuff, though you appreciate it more and more since you’re still a little confused and overwhelmed. he makes it all easy, from the pregnancy cravings he runs around to find for you to the pretty pink walls in the nursery. he even satisfies all your other cravings, like around month six when there was nothing you wanted more than rafe's dick in every position you could think of.
when his daughter actually comes into the world, the two of you are a mess of emotions and thoughts, but there’s only one rafe really cares about. when can he give you another one?
it doesn’t take long for him to start trying again—trying to convince you that the two of you can handle two, that little kids need siblings their age. the baby’s only six months old but he’s convinced it’ll be better to have them all young at the same time rather than waiting—at least that’s the line he feeds you.
“no, rafe, they’re gonna be like irish twins. it’s so embarassing,” you say next to him in bed, staring up at your husband.
“what’s that?”
“when you have two babies that aren’t even a year apart.”
“oh. that’s a thing? good, at least there’s a name for it. i’ll get you a book on it, since that’s what we’re doin’.”
and try as you might, even you can’t resist rafe for long, not when he’s taking such good care of you and just wants to give you another baby with his blue eyes and your pretty hair. you end up in the same position that got you into this whole situation—your knees folded to your chest and eyes rolling back while rafe slams into you.
“don’t worry, baby,” he breathes into your ear, low and quiet since the baby’s sleeping in the other room. “i’ll get y’knocked up again. won’t have to think about a thing in this world except my kids.”
it’s a shame you get pregnant so quickly—rafe was so fun when his only thought revolved around fucking you full of his cum.
“well, s’not gonna be irish twins. too far apart,” rafe says, looking at the photos from the doctor’s appointment.
“no, it’s just regular twins.” you don’t think you’ve ever seen rafe so happy.

What Is Love? (Mr. Gap x GN!Reader)
(Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me)
This contains spoilers!!
CW: brief mention of murder, one single swear word, romantic gestures but it's all SFW, reader is a serial killer Word count: 1923
Hi, hello, I ended up writing fanfiction for this game after all. And it's for Mr. Gap because I love this dumb void creature obsessed with body parts. He's a love interest in the game, don't boo me, I'm right. Might continue this one later, maybe? Not sure if it's a one shot or not yet.
How long has it been since you’d decided to return to the other world indefinitely? You’re not entirely sure. Time is hard to measure here. You sleep when you are tired and you eat when you’re hungry. You’re at least certain you’ve slept many times since then. Sometimes you wonder whether decades go by as you remain here, among ghosts and monsters.
If you’re entirely honest, it isn’t so bad. You can massacre whoever you please and nobody bats an eye. There’s no need to hide bodies, build alibis, get rid of evidence.
Yet, at the same time, with every new set of hallways and decaying rooms, you begin to sympathize more with the likes of Mr. Stitch and Mr. Machete. You’d once wondered why someone would give away clothes for free or play hairdresser in this world. Now you find yourself yearning for something similar, a purpose or at least a way to pass the time.
At least you aren’t alone. Mr. Gap has become an expected presence in every crevice, hole and gash you gaze into. He’s still a mischievous little jerk, of course, but there is comfort in knowing someone nonthreatening is at your side at all times. And he keeps your boredom at bay sometimes.
One day (or perhaps night), you’re walking through the maze of hallways and rooms of the Other World, searching for a way to entertain yourself. You hope to encounter a new face. Or perhaps an old one. Part of you still hopes you’ll run into Mr. Crawling or Mr. Chopped again, as unlikely as it may be.
Room, after room, after room, you walk. Until, eventually, your legs grow tired and, with a long sigh, you lean against a wall. Mr. Gap’s face appears in a nearby hole.
“What wrong?” he inquires.
“Bored,” you confess.
“Me fun. Give your heart.”
You scoff. “You not fun.”
He shoots you a disgruntled look of disbelief, which begrudgingly makes you snicker. He thinks too highly of himself if he believes constant demands for body parts is considered entertainment. Messing with him on the other hand…
You set your crowbar aside, then curl your palms in the shape of a heart, which you then present to Mr. Gap.
“What you do?”
“This is heart.”
“That is hand.”
“No, this is heart. Above world heart.” You grin mischievously.
He looks entirely unimpressed and partially confused. “That not heart.”
“This heart humans show when lots of like someone.”
He goes quiet for a bit, still staring at your hands like they’re an unsolvable riddle. Then he stares at your face, even more confused. “You lots of like me?”
Oh. You hadn’t considered that’s how the explanation would come across. You were only trying to poke fun at him. How do you talk your way out of this one? Would he get mad if you said no? Would it even be true to say no? You don’t think you’re ready for that type of introspection.
“That…” you search for the right words in the very limited vocabulary of the Other World’s language. “Not… know…” you finally force out.
“Why this heart show?”
Now it’s your turn to grow frustrated with him. “Why you want heart?”
He’s already given you an answer to that question in the past. Because it’s fun. Something you failed to comprehend. Perhaps the same way he failed to comprehend your idea of “like.” So before he can answer, you grab your crowbar and march off.
Unfortunately, the question pops into your mind again as you continue to wander aimlessly. Can someone like you fall in love?
You've taken so many lives, simply because it was fun or convenient or you got sick of their attitude. You've done the same thing in this world.
The hunched over figure of Mr. Crawling pops into your mind. Then, the smiling face of Mr. Chopped. And, eventually, Mr. Gap's annoying grin. Those are people you wouldn't kill. They are people you want to keep around. Perhaps people you would kill for instead, if needed. But does this attachment go deep enough to be called love?
Perhaps you aren't sure of what that feeling is anymore than Mr. Gap and it’s all feigned knowledge.
Your feet are hurting by the time you finally find a proper place to rest. You've lost track of time.
Though your body is tired, your mind remains restless as you set aside your crowbar and sit on the bed. This is a far cry from the entertaining activity you’d hoped to find.
“What wrong?” a familiar voice inquires beneath the sheets. You lift them up to reveal Mr. Gap’ face once again.
How do you even explain your issue to him?
“Feeling not know.”
He goes quiet for a bit. “Teach me lots of like?”
Is he saying he wants you to explain love to him? How do you even begin to do that? Perhaps you can narrow it down to romantic love at least.
“When lots of like, person special. Say nice words. Want to protect. Want to follow. Do special touch. Help person when need.”
The limited vocabulary makes it especially hard to put it into words. You aren't sure how well you'd explain it to another human either.
As expected, Mr. Gap looks puzzled. “Nice words? Special touch?”
He's focusing on the more romantic aspects, it seems. You prop your head against your hand, thinking. “Nice words not have here language. My language have nice words.”
“I see…” he murmurs. “Show special touch?”
You pout at him. “Why?”
“Want to know.”
So he's just curious. Or, knowing him, he heard the word “special” and decided he wanted it to be about him. He does have a bit of a big ego, always taking pride in startling you, often shoving pages of articles about him in your face. You cross your arms and turn your back to him.
“What wrong?”
“You bad. Me need help, you want heart. Me need help, you want hand, you want head, you want leg. Me not show special touch.”
“Me nice,” he says, sounding offended. You don't have to turn around to know he's giving you that astonished look he makes whenever you criticize or baffle him.
You laugh mockingly. “Not. Goodnight.” And with that, you shove down the sheet, blocking him from view. He's always poking fun at you, it's about time he got a taste of his own medicine.
. . .
When you wake up, Mr. Gap is nowhere in sight. It isn't entirely unusual. He has moments when he's off doing his own thing. Deciding to do the same, you take off in search of something interesting to occupy yourself with. Preferably not another mind boggling question.
Hours pass, probably. Residents appear every once in a while, some friendly, some hostile. None of them scare you anymore. You only interact with them to pass the time. Until you eventually come to a stop in a room full of debris and objects from the human world. There, you sit down and begin to search for anything worthwhile. Maybe something to read.
To your luck, you gather several magazines and books. Your arms are full by the time you feel a tremor shake the room. Another earthquake. You waste no time getting out of there with your new haul.
But as you stop to set everything down, you realize you've left your crowbar behind, in the now collapsed room. A few curses rush out under your breath.
“Hello.”
You turn around to find Mr. Gap peeking out of a hole in the wall. “Want attack tool?” He waves the tip of your lost crowbar around. “Take, take.”
“Take? You not want heart?”
“Not want!”
Huh. Maybe he took your criticism yesterday to heart. You grab the crowbar and mutter a “Thank you.”
That wide, unnerving smile of his spreads over his face before he fades off into the darkness. What is he planning now?
For the next few days, he continues to go out of his way to bring you things, take you places and fulfill any requests you might have without demanding any body parts in exchange. Relying on him almost becomes a habit. However, you have a slight suspicion he's not doing this out of the goodness of his heart or because he felt particularly sad about your accusations. These nice gestures must be leading to something.
And surely enough, at some point, during one of your breaks from wandering, he appears before you, looking particularly delighted.
“Me nice. Show special touch.”
How typical. You narrow your eyes at him.
“No?” he asks, the smile fading from his face.
Part of you wants to lecture him on doing all that to prove a point. The other part suspects it won’t do much.
“Okay okay. Me show,” you give in. Maybe this will make him act nicer overall. You can't deny the fact that he's helped you a lot lately.
“Thank you.”
You position yourself directly in front of the hole in the wall and then point at him. “Hand.”
He blinks. “Not give my hand.”
Of course he thinks you want his severed hand.
“Me touch your hand,” you clarify. At that, he finally understands and sticks one of his hands out.
His palm feels cold and damp to the touch when you press yours against it, but his skin is oddly soft. You interlock your fingers. His own remain limp in the air for a moment. Then, upon observing what you're doing, his fingers press down against the back of your palm, mimicking yours. It's not an unpleasant feeling.
Are his nails naturally black or does he paint them, you wonder. The image of Mr. Gap painting his nails makes you snicker internally.
“This one touch,” you explain. “Human person do this with special person.”
He stares at your interlocked hands, intrigued. “You know more?”
Naturally, you do, but you hesitate as the next gesture comes to mind. Your own curiosity is beginning to kick in, ushering you to try it. Will it awaken anything in you?
Driven by that curiosity you say: “Yes.” Then, reach into the opening in the wall with your free hand.
His cheek is just as cold and damp as his hand, perhaps the effect of dwelling inside crevices and hollows all the time. Gently, you tug him towards you and he follows, gaze flickering between your hand and your face. You lean closer as well.
His lips are dry against yours. And you feel no breath from him. Whether it's because he's holding it in or he never breathes to begin with, you aren't sure. You don't linger for long, but something odd stirs your insides for the brief moment you spend kissing him.
How suitable, for someone like you to be exploring love with a sinister void dweller who knows even less about it than you do. Oddly enough, you don't dislike it.
“This lots, lots special,” you explain after you've pulled away and let go of his hand.
He uses his now freed hand to touch his lips. A smug look is slowly overtaking his face. This arrogant little jerk.
“Me special,” he concludes.
“Not,” you argue. “You ask. Me show.”
You have a bit of a staring contest between your glare and his smug grin.
“Me want your heart,” he says finally, still with that smug look.
“Oh, fuck you!”
It's going to take a long time if Mr. Gap is to become anything akin to a lover.

Babysitting Ft. The homicipher men
Synopsis- you were tasked with babysitting a baby around 5 months old. How do the homicipher men act around human babies?.. / all set in the real world / happy love ending
incl- Mr. Crawling, Mr. Scarletta, Mr. Chopped, Mr. Silver, Mr. Hood.
Cw/ baby fever,
Mr. Crawling
🖤your sibling just dropped off your niece, a slobbery, chunky, baby 2 minutes ago with a bag of necessities in tow, now, you’re watching Bluey with her on the couch..and so is mr. Crawling
🖤your niece was a little intimidated by Mr. Crawling at first, you picked her up from your sibling, shut the door and as soon as your nice and Mr. Crawling made eye contact, the baby was wailing and Mr. Crawling was stressing
🖤soon, though, you three rested on the couch. Well, you and your niece and mr. Crawling awkwardly sitting on the floor in front of you
🖤he felt a small tug, only to turn his head to see chubby little fingers pulling on his hair. The small creature babbled and cooed, the fingers grabbing and twirling at his hair.
🖤he smiled and giggled, seeing the adorable tiny thing enjoy his hair.
🖤he figured out how to play with the tiny thing. Poke her belly, peak a boo, tickle her a little and throw her then catch her. He loved his little buddy!!
🖤while the baby was asleep, all sprawled out he looked over at you, a happy smile on his face “how” “make?”
🖤”how make..a baby?” You pointed at your nice confusingly he nodded eagerly. You paused and simplified ‘how to make’
🖤he only smiled, looking at the baby, then you again “we make?”
Mr. Scarletta
❤️when the baby gets dropped off he kinda just stays.. away. He's not used to small humans being around.
❤️you encourage him to at least come and hangout. To which he complies, obviously, since he's at your service.
❤️he stands next to you while you spoon feed the baby, and pass over the spoon when your phone rings. At first, he didn't know what to do, he just awkwardly stood by with the baby spoon till he mimics the airplane thing that you did and feeds the baby.
❤️he finds a strange joy when the baby starts babbling, clapping her hands and giggling, as if it made him happy that she was happy.
❤️he has found a new friend! after feeding her he let's you clean her up because he doesn't know how but then afterwards grabs the little thing right out of your hands to go hold her and play with her on the couch
❤️he found it so cute that humans are sometimes this small and weak. He likes it when she wraps her fingers around his finger. He finds it so cute.
❤️cradles the baby, watches tv with her, just gently swaying with the baby, he loves it! sign him up. I know some people will probably think he doesn't like babies, but he does! he likes how small and weak they are. Just little lumps of slobbery chunk that babbles. So cute.
Mr. Silver
🩶fascination. Naturally. What is this small human?
🩶he kinda just..observes. Watches how to take care of such an incapable, small little lump.
🩶he finds them cute though. Likes to see what makes them happy, stresses out when he accidentally makes them cry.
🩶he watches the kids shows and tries to decipher a meaning and see the affect the colors and sounds have on the baby and what it benefits to them.
🩶tries to teach the baby monster language, but is only met with a small, confused head tilt. Gives up on it after you tell him the baby only knows some words in human language. It was hard teaching you monster language, a fully capable adult, it'd be nearly impossible teaching a little, babbling creature.
🩶watches out for dangers while she sleeps, stands over her and watches for any possible threat. Once a fly flew in her general direction. and it immediately got a scalpel thrown directly at it, pinning it to the wall.
🩶definitely protective over her.
Mr. Chopped
🧡not a fan
🧡why do humans have these attention sucking things?!
🧡gets mad at the baby stealing away your attention and especially hates it when you choose to pickup and sway the baby instead of him
🧡No! Not baby! pick up me! carry!
🧡the baby would be interested in him, grabbing at his face and hair, yes, he bit the child, no, he didn't apologize.
🧡just sulks until the baby leaves. You won't get him to watch the baby, try to make funny faces at the baby to play, you will get nothing out of him.
🧡I saw a video with a dude saying he had abortion fever, that's literally mr. chopped. He hates it when it cries, grabs at his face, he all around does not like the baby.
🧡do NOT babysit with him.
Mr. Hood
🤎He get's so soft when he first sees the baby, how cute, how delicate.
🤎he wants to help the baby, get out of his way. Teach him how to do it once and he's on a roll, sit back, don't do anything he's got this.
🤎is it because he wants you to relax? partially, more so because he wanted to hangout with the strange, small little human. He adores the baby sooo much.
🤎he hates it when the baby cries, but is very, very patient and handles the baby extremely well.
🤎probably the most patient, nurturing, and caring of all of the homicipher men, Mr. Scarletta knows how to take care of a baby, just doesn't like to, he just likes playing with them, Mr. Silver kind of sees the baby as a learning experience, Mr. Crawling leaves as soon as the baby cries, and Mr. Chopped is well.. Mr. Chopped.
🤎is like Mr. Crawling, now he wants one. But gets weary when he learns about birth and pregnancy, it seems like a lot on you.
🤎could you two just like...steal one?

“Still up for this? You know he’s going to be pissed at you.”
“‘Course I am! Any chance to get on his nerves, I’ll take it,” Sonic replies with full confidence. The blue blur crouches down so it’s easier for you to hop on his back. Once fully secured, he runs off to find Shadow.
With his speed, it didn’t take long to find your partner. In the middle of a grassy field, his figure gets closer. He seems lost in thought, admiring the view. Of course, the serene silence was broken by none other than you and Sonic banishing him at a breakneck speed.
Sonic calls out, “DELIVERY FOR SHADOW,” as he grabs you by the ankles and begins to spin into a tornado. Your body practically perpendicular to his.
Shadow turns around just as you were launched from Sonic’s hands. Your arms are outstretched towards your lover, ready to encapsulate him in the most bone crushing hug. He was barely in time to catch a you shaped missile. Upon contact, Shadow looses his footing and falls backwards.
Before his back hits the ground, the scenery changes to your living room. THUD! Shadow hits the hardwood floor, but you remain mostly unscathed with his arms wrapped around you tight. Hands find the ground, propping you up to meet his face. “Missed me?,” you laugh.
Brows narrow, clearly unamused by the stunt you pulled. “Obviously not,” he huffs, resting his hands on your hips. The tone of the reply is easily brushed off, knowing that he was referencing catching you. An attempt at a joke. So you thought until his next words, “I’ve had enough of your games.”
There are times where he’d been mad at you, but never like this. Chills crawl down your spine as fiery reds glares at you. “I told you there would be consequences to your actions,” Shadow adds. The next thing you knew, your positions were reversed. Now you lay on the ground, facing up at your loved one. Hips and shoulders pinned. There’s no escape and it doesn’t appear you can talk yourself out of being in trouble. “It’s time you pay the price, love.”
Before you could ask what he was going to do to you, a screech echoes throughout the entire house. Hysterical laughter follows suit as dexterous fingers work on your sides. Squirm all you want but he has you locked firmly between his legs. Tightly you grip onto his wrists in a sad effort to pull him off. It’s no use. Shadow is simply too strong.
Maybe if you turned your back on him, you’d be able to crawl away. There’s a chance he’d also simply stay on but you needed to do something! The tickling was driving you insane! Turtling up, you roll to your stomach and crawled about two centimeters before all of your strength leaves. Completely breathless, a hand taps on the wood flooring while weakly calling out, “Mercy! Mercy.”
Immediately Shadow stops and crosses his arms. When you turn your head to look back up at him a giant shit eating smirk is plastered on his face.
“You’re so mean…!”
“You brought this upon yourself. You only have yourself to blame,” Shadow plainly replies.
He’s not wrong.. Prior to this, he did warn you three or five times that a punishment was imminent.
He asks, “What did we learn today?”, expecting an answer.
“Not to mess with Mr. Ultimate Life Form.”
“What was that? Speak up.”
A sigh, “Don’t mess with the Ultimate Life Form.”
Shadow gets off and stands up. Upright, he offers you his hand to take. Begrudgingly, you accept the olive branch and allow him to help you up.
“That’s right,” he affirms, pressing a kiss to your hand. “So behave and I’ll make us dinner. I’ll even make your favorite if you’re extra nice.”
Both of you damn know well this won’t be the last time. A mental note to beat some sense into that blue hedgehog is also pinned.

If Hades raised Nico and Bianca Part 26 (Babysitting)
Artemis, entering: Apollo, where is- Who is that?
Apollo, holding baby Nico: Hm? Him? Oh, this is Uncle Hades' son. His name is Nico. He's squishy
Artemis: Well, he is adorable *approaches*
Apollo: *turning away* Hey, back off. He's my squishy. Get your own.
Artemis:
Bianca: *tugs on Artemis' clothes*
Artemis: *looks down* Oh...well hello there. *picks her up* What's your name?
---
Bianca: Uncle, look! I found a seashell!
Poseidon: Oh, that's a pretty one, Bianca. It's shiny, too.
Bianca: Can I keep it?
Poseidon: Of course
Nico, pulling Poseidon's arm: Uncle Popo! Uncle Popo!
Poseidon: Woah. Slow down there, Nico. What's wrong?
Nico: Look! *shows baby turtles crawling to the sea*
Poseidon: Oh, look at that. They're going to the sea for the first time.
Nico: We have to help them! *tries to pick one up*
Poseidon: Uph! Not so fast, little one. We can't do that.
Nico: But-
Poseidon: They have to do it on their own. Or else they'll never learn how.
---
Bianca: AARRGH!
Ares: *sigh* C'mon. One more time
Bianca: I don't wanna anymore. This is stupid. >:(
Ares: Look, it's normal to fall on your first few times.
Bianca: But I've been practicing for months now.
Ares: Doesn't matter; you'll still fall. Doesn't matter how good you are. You'll still make mistakes. But if you want to be better than now, then you have to keep going. Understand?
Bianca: Yes, Mr. Ares.
Ares: Alright, c'mon. Stand up, dust yourself off, and let's perfect this dance.
---
Nico, playing with Hera's peacocks: Hehe, hehe. Pretty.
Hera: Who are you?
Nico: Hm?
Hera: How did you get in here?
Nico: I-I...
Hera: What are you doing in here?
Nico: ...the peacocks...
Hera: What?
Nico: The peacocks were hungry. So I gave them food. They took me in here.
Hera:
Nico: I'm sorry, Ms. Hera.
Hera: *sigh then picks him up* You shouldn't be here, little one. Olympus is not a playground for you to wander on.
Nico: I'm sorry.
Hera: And it's very rude to enter someone's chambers without their permission.
---
Aphrodite, waking up: *looks in the mirror to see her hair full of flowers* What the-
Aphrodite: *looks back in her bed*
Nico: *sleeping with a basket of flowers on the side of the bed*
...
Bianca: Ms. Aphrodite
Aphrodite, braiding Bianca's hair: Yes, Bianca?
Bianca: What if I don't want to fall in love? Will you get mad at me?
Aphrodite: Of course not. Love isn't for everyone. Some people prefer to focus on other things like their work or something else.
Bianca: But...I don't wanna be lonely
Aphrodite: You don't have to be. Just because you don't want to fall in love with others doesn't mean they don't love you. And it wont always be a romantic kind of love.
Bianca: What do you mean?
Aphrodite: Hmm, you know how you love your brother very much? Well, that's a different kind of love. Or when you love your friends, that's also a different kind of love.
Bianca: So...you'd be okay if I never get a husband?
Aphrodite: Of course I would. You'd only be hurting yourself if you're forcing yourself to love someone you don't really love. *finishes braiding her hair* And, done!
Bianca, looks in the mirror: ...wow
Aphrodite: Do you like it?
Bianca: I love it...I look like mama
---
Nico: O-once...up-upon...a time... *trying to read Puss in Boots*
Athena: You're doing well, Nico.
Bianca, pointing to a word in her book: Ms. Athena, what does this word mean? Exqui-Exquisite?
Athena: It's an adjective. When something is exquisite, it means it looks beautiful.
---
Nico: Choo choo! Uncle Hepha! Can I play with choo choo?
Hephaestus: Sure, why not? Just don't touch it, okay? You'll hurt yourself.
Bianca: Uncle Hephaestus, can you please fix this? *shows him a trinket*
Hephaestus: What is it? *takes it*
Bianca: It was our mama's music box. When you open it, it should make a pretty sound and the people in the middle should dance around. But they stopped dancing.
Hephaestus: Alright. I'll try and fix it. But I can't guarantee you that I can
---
Nico: HAHAHAHAHA! AGAIN! AGAIN! AGAIN!
Hermes: Nico, we've run around 5 times already. You're gonna throw up at this point
Nico: No, I'm not.
Hermes: Yes, you are. That's enough running around.
Nico: Aww :(
Hermes: How about instead, we go and prank your Uncle Apollo? :D
Nico: YEA!
Hermes: What are we thinking? Cut the reigns on his chariot? Cover his chambers in tin foil? Shoot him in the butt?
---
Zeus: Ah! Hello, little ones. Why don't you come here and give your uncle Zeus a hug?
Bianca:
Nico:
Zeus: Come on
Nico: *throws the dummy sword Zagreus gave him*
Bianca: *throws the dummy sword Achilles gave her*
Zeus: Ow!
Hades: ...good work, children! :D

what's a kiss between friends?
you don't treat anyone else like this. just me.
- Maddy Perez
you don't treat anyone else like this. just me.
what's a kiss between friends?
Pronouns: they/them/theirs, gender neutral!reader
You watched Maddy fiddle with the speakers from the comfort of your bed, one cheap beer can in hand while the other kept your head propped up. She grinned when the music finally began flowing from them and tapped on her phone screen a few times until a Kali Uchis song began playing. Maddy spun on her heel to face you, her hair flying from one shoulder to the next with her movements, and she began to sing along to the song.
"I just wanna get high with my lover Veo una muñeca cuando miro en el espejo Kiss, kiss"
You chuckled and pushed yourself up to lean back against the headboard, eyes trailing after her as she danced along to the song, swaying her hips and using her half-empty beer can as a microphone. You nodded along to the beat, unable to resist the smile spreading on your lips while Maddy continued her performance. She moved onto the end of the end after setting her can aside, kneeling at the edge, and continuing to sing along with a wide smile.
"But I know a place we can escape Find out how it feels to let go of everything, be free When you're here with me"
Better to see Maddy loose and carefree than agitated over Nate or her parents. She seemed fully in her element, laughter occasionally escaping her and the smile never leaving her face. She leaned down, crawling toward you with a mischievous grin and stealing the can right from your hand once close enough. She flopped onto her back and drank the last remaining drops of beer before setting it on the nightstand and tilting her head toward you, resuming her singing and dramatically resting her hand over her chest. You stayed silent, keeping your teasing at bay for the night. She needed a good time after what Cassie had done to her.
"There's nothing like peace of mind And you take the time to make sure that I'm okay I know I can put stress on your brain"
Maddy trailed off toward the end of the lyrics, her lips pressing together and pursing lightly as she stared up at you. You quirked a questioning brow at her and reached out to brush raven-colored strands out of her face. She swatted lightly at your hand and mimicked your position, curling her arm around her pillow and tilting her head.
"What is it, Maddy?" You prodded, shifting to lay more on your side and look at her better. She ran her fingers through her hair, pushing it back and fully out of her face, her eyes still lingering on yours.
"You ever thought about, like..." She trailed off, the tip of her acrylic nail scratching lightly against her jaw. "Kissing?"
"I had my first kiss years ago, Mads, and you did too."
"That's not what I mean, asshole," She huffed lightly, lightly pushing your temple with two fingers and rolling her eyes dramatically. Her hands moved to the ends of her hair, combing through it thoughtfully. "I mean, like... us."
Us. It almost sounded like it had a double meaning, as if it meant something more than friendship. You'd known Maddy quite literally your whole life, practically since the womb. Your mother had fallen pregnant around the same time as Mrs. Perez, and as a result, they'd often exchange tips or simply talk about how life had changed for them. It'd almost been fated, really, to become best friends with the girl across the street. You'd seen it all: her rise in popularity, the cheerleading practices, her circle of friends growing, the turbulent relationship with Nate Jacobs. the anger, the sadness. The very definition of ride or die.
"What's a kiss between friends?" She lifted her brows at you, but you knew her too well to miss the hint of nerves. The way her fingers combed through her hair, the slightly pursed lips, the way her eyes slipped away every so often. It would've been a shock to the girls if they learned nothing had ever happened between you and Maddy. They joked about it often, and you were fairly certain they believed Maddy turned to you whenever something went wrong with Nate. She did, of course she did, but not in the way they thought of.
"Friends." You repeated airily, your finger drawing shapes on the sheets. "You know, you don't treat anyone else like this. Just me. Everyone else thinks you're always acting like this cool girl when you're just a dork."
"A dork?" Maddy scoffed softly, the ends of her lips curling upward. "The fuck you mean, a dork?"
With a soft snort, you leaned forward, planting your lips against her in a swift peck. Her typically colored lips were clean and soft, with only the taste of cherry chapstick. Maddy made a soft noise of surprise, her body growing motionless, but by the time the surprise had faded, you'd already pulled away, slumping back into the pillows and listening to a new song fill the room.

AHH HII!!! saw the mr crawling fic u posted and it's adorable :(( can i please have a mr crawling x reader where they have a condition that makes them sleepy? andAND because of this, sometimes they do strange things like, for example, talking non coherently, sleeping in weird places and having tics while sleeping!! i really want some fluff with this man...... *holds my hands out like a poor victorian child*
As always, take your time!! your aesthetic and work is genuinely really good!! you are great at this <3 mwahmwah. 🐁
Mr Crawling and Narcoleptic!reader
A/N: *shakes you violently* OMG ANON YOU'RE A GENIUS you just made my day with this btw — ask and ye shall receive >:)) As for the condition I think you might be asking for a Narcoleptic reader or something of those lines but YEAH I can totally do that, here you go, mini oneshot for you 🫵🏻🫵🏻
Summary: Mr Crawling’s been noticing some weird behaviours from you lately for the past few days and it’s both funny and worrying, are you okay???
WARNING: This is set after the Blissful Love Life ending, if you don’t want spoilers then keep scrolling!
It’s been little over a few days now since you and Mr. Crawling escaped his world, and the two of you were perfectly settled together at your place. Mr. Crawling so far’s been pretty happy overall, getting to stay home with you in your world and has grown pretty attached to you. But, as of lately, he’s been noticing some…'strange' behaviours from you.
You seemed to be more sluggish when moving around the house and sleepy, he even found you crashed in the bathroom, at your desk, and other places in the house. He found the sight to be cute but at the same time it was also getting a little worrisome.
Were humans always this sleepy?? He’s never seen you this sleepy when the both of you were still in his world. Well, maybe he did a few times without realizing it, but he failed to pick up on it.
He even caught you mumbling incoherent things and twitching in your sleep while the two of you were cuddled up in bed. He thought you were hurting somewhere whenever he felt you quivering in his arms, which made him hug you tighter and run his fingers through your hair, trying to soothe you. It was another day done of hours of work when you came back home, had food, and shortly went to bed with Mr. Crawling following after you like a lost puppy. Considering how exhausted you were from work, you passed out in seconds the moment you flopped onto the bed.
Later in the night, Mr. Crawling was curled up under the covers, with you spooned in his arms, the bedroom completely pitch black with the curtains drawn closed and there was a comfortable silence that filled the room. His arms were wrapped securely around you in a comforting squeeze, he nuzzled his face into the back of your neck, inhaling your scent for a moment and he instinctively squeezed you a little tighter. Relishing in the warmth your body radiated...
The silence then was suddenly broken when he heard you mumbling things in a slurred tone, (unfortunately he picked up little words he could understand considering he still had a lot to learn with your language), and he could feel your muscles twitching once in awhile. Mr. Crawling however grew worried again, he lied there uncertain if he should try to wake you up or not. He didn’t want you getting cranky or annoyed for waking you up, but this was really starting to bug him and he wanted to help.
Mr. Crawling began to shake you gently to rouse you from your slumber, but you weren’t budging much, so he shook you a tad harder. “Human? Wake?” He murmured quietly. It took him another few tries until you started to stir from your sleep and you shifted in his arms to your discomfort.
“Mmn?… Mr. Crawling?….” You mumbled out quietly, your words sounding slurred in your half-asleep state.
Oh, good, you’re not mad. “Human hurt? Why twitching in sleep?” Mr. Crawling questioned, his fingers curled into the fabric of your night shirt. “Me worry, me want to help.”
You shifted under the covers again and you turned over to face Mr. Crawling, stretching your legs in a sluggish manner and your muscles relaxed. “I’m okay bud, I’m not hurt,…” Your words trailed off for a moment, straining back another yawn and your fingers found their way into Mr. Crawling’s hair, gently patting him. “It’s just my narcolepsy acting up, nothing to worry about…”
Narcolepsy?
Of course the term sounded unfamiliar to Mr. Crawling’s ears, “Narc-lep-see?…” He repeated, confused. As you could feel yourself slowly slipping in and out of unconsciousness, you did your best to try and explain your condition to Mr. Crawling. Mr. Crawling failed grasp much of it (in complicating terms-wise), but he seemed to understand it was something that made you very sleepy throughout the day. He also had the look of disappointment when you mentioned it was incurable, surely it could be fixable. If Mr. Silvair was here he might’ve found a way!
Before Mr. Crawling could even ask more questions about it, you were now unresponsive and had drifted off to sleep. He couldn’t be mad at you (not like he would anyways), he did abruptly wake you up after all. So he decided to keep quiet and save the rest of his questions for the morning, his arms fastened around you again and he rests his chin on the top of your head. Intently listening to your soft breathing and the dark noise of the bedroom that filled his ears. From this point on starting tomorrow, he’ll do the best he can to help you out…
#OMG YAY MY FIRST ASK FOR REQS#LETS GOOOOOOOOO#I hope this is to your liking anon 😌#thiejfjsb I’m not entirely sure if I portrayed narcolepsy right but I do apologize if it’s wrong#I did my best and I tried looking more into it before I did my writing lmao#this took awhile I’m so sorry I was busy for a little gnskbdj#dead’s asks#dead’s writing#oneshot#homicipher#homicipher x reader#mr crawling x reader#mr crawling#gn reader#fluffies

I loved your fic about Theo getting upset because the readers' parents said they couldn't go to Italy for the summer. I was wondering if you could do something similar. The reader says she's not allowed to stay with him for the summer, but theo trys to convince readers mom to let them go to Italy, but he finds out that her parents said she could go. And Theo confronts the reader.
I don't know. I thought it could be a cute angst/fluff fic I've never requested before, but I love your writing, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Thanks:)
Little Lies (Theodore Nott x Reader)
angst&fluff, happy ending | requested!
"Theo, they said no, I really can't argue with that," y/n sighed as she closed the book she was reading.
Theo groaned, running a hand through his hair. "Let me talk to them, then," he tried, "they love me! They'll listen to me, won't they?"
Panic surged through y/n's body at the mention of Theo talking to her parents. "It'll just make them mad at me! It's just not happening, I'm sorry my love."
The truth lay beneath her panic-stricken words: she hadn't even asked her parents. Truth be told, they'd say yes immediately if she had asked. It was no secret that y/n's parents adored Theo and would do anything if it meant that the two would stay together long enough to breach the topic of marriage.
y/n hadn't mentioned going to Italy for the summer with Theodore for one simple reason: Theodore Nott Sr.
Nott Sr. was an imposing man with strict ideals and rules and little to no morality. He scared everyone that he came in contact with, especially his only son and heir's girlfriend. He was often controlling and angry, with yelling and cursing being his most used vocabulary. Theo loved to hate his father and hated to love him, but by way of only having a father his teenage life, he'd come to respect him for what he could do.
y/n was not so lucky. She was a stranger to the violence that unfolded in Nott Manor, to the hurt that a father could cause his only son. It was impossible to watch when Theo would appear perfectly groomed and poised, all the while hiding the bruises and scars that lay just below his collar. It broke y/n's heart to pieces, and she refused to house herself under that roof for an entire summer's break.
But she couldn't tell Theo that. Perfect, poised, handsome, loving Theo who only wanted her, his source of comfort, to be with him in a picturesque setting.
So instead, she lied. And as everyone says, lies cannot be kept forever.
y/n's parents had invited Theo for dinner the next night at their manor, reveling in the laughter that ensued from his witty jokes and ignoring his blatant hand on their daughter's thigh.
"I did want to ask you something, Mr. l/n," Theo said softly as dinner winded down. A sick feeling invaded y/n's stomach, with its only visible traces being the red color that latched itself onto her neck.
The older man nodded, "Anything, my boy. What is it?"
Theo shot Mr. l/n a smile, one that he'd learned almost exclusively from the business dealings of his father. "My father and I would be overjoyed if y/n could join us this summer at our home in Italy. It's in Rome, near the city center. He wanted me to extend the invitation to her. Would that be alright?"
Time seemed to slow to a grinding halt. y/n was sweating, her hands shaking as she clasped her glass and avoided the eyes of her parents.
"Of course, of course!" Mrs. l/n replied for her husband, grinning widely at Theo. "I'm sure she'd love to as well, wouldn't you dear? And that just means that we can have a child-free summer of our own!"
Theo's eyes dropped onto y/n with such sadness and frustration that it made her skin crawl. She saw the disappointment under his features, trying desperately to escape his gaze. She only managed a nod.
With a few more pleasantries, dinner concluded and y/n and Theo were free to escape to her bedroom. Once the door had closed, Theo scoffed loudly.
"What was that all about?" he asked angrily, his face turning a pinker hue than normal. He was angry, that much was clear.
"I... I'm sorry," y/n managed, dropping her head low. She fidgeted with the rings on her hand, half of which Theo had gifted her.
Theo scoffed again. "You're sorry? I didn't ask for an apology, I asked for an explanation! You told me they said no!"
y/n sighed loudly, dropping to sit on her bed with her head in her hands. "I never asked," she admitted softly.
"You never asked?" Theo had begun to yell, quickly casting a muffliato charm on the room. "y/n, I asked you about this months ago and you said they told you no! Why did you lie to me?"
"I had a good reason, Theo! Okay?" y/n shouted back, tears springing from her eyes. She and Theo never argued, but when they did, it was awful and hurtful.
"Oh good, I'd love to hear what a good fucking reason you have for making me look like an idiot with your parents! Or for lying straight to my face for months!" He was screaming now, fisting at his hair and coming closer to y/n.
She flinched a little at the action, staring up at Theo intensely. "You'll just get mad at me again if I tell you, so what's the point? I'll go, okay! I'll spend the whole summer with you and your asshole father and be uncomfortable for months!"
Theo paused at that, the room going deathly silent. "Uncomfortable? You're uncomfortable spending your summer with your boyfriend who has told you so many times that he wants to fucking marry you? What, are you going to be so uncomfortable at the thought of spending time with me that you'll tell me no?" His tone got angrier with every word.
"I'm not uncomfortable because of you, you asshole!" y/n shouted, standing up suddenly. She and Theo were close and the anger radiating off of them was palpable. "I'm uncomfortable because your dad is a fucking sadist and wants everyone around him to hurt! I don't want to watch you get beaten for existing for months, Teddy! I can't do that! And if you don't understand that or if you don't think it's a good reason to say no, then I don't know what planet you live on."
They were close, close enough to make one wrong move and end up completely engulfed with one another. Theo was the first to speak.
"And you couldn't have told me that in the first place instead of lying to my face, y/n/n?" he asked softly, his anger dissipating by the second. "You don't think you can talk to me about that?"
y/n let the tears fall freely down her cheeks. "You wouldn't have listened to me, just like you're not listening now! I'm sorry I lied to you, honey, I am. But you never listen when I tell you that I hate your father."
Theo stayed silent for a while, his eyes indicating that he was lost inside his own head. He finally moved after what seemed like an eternity, wiping the tears off of y/n's cheeks with a soft brush of his thumbs.
"I'm sorry, amore mio," he apologized softly, moving his hands to tangle in her hair. "I... I didn't think about it."
y/n sobbed a little, nuzzling into his touch. "You never do."
Theo nodded sadly, resting his forehead on hers. "You don't have to come," he mumbled, closing his eyes. "I should've thought of you first."
y/n shook her head slightly, sniffling. "I just don't want to see you hurt or getting hurt or anything but happy. He makes you miserable."
"I'll figure it out," Theo replied softly, kissing y/n's head. "I'll figure it out."
"He sucks, you know that?" y/n asked with a small, humorless laugh. "If he wasn't there, I'd go. If he wasn't involved, I'd go anywhere you asked me to."
Theo nodded, looking into her eyes. "I love you," he whispered, meeting their lips into a passionate, emotional kiss. "I'll figure it out, I promise. I'm sorry for yelling at you."
y/n pulled him into a tight embrace, resting her head on his shoulder. "It's okay. I shouldn't have lied to you."
"If I can convince him to not go... would you come?" Theo asked, hugging her tighter. "I can figure it out."
y/n nodded, pulling back just enough to see his face. He had that determined look that he sported on occasion, like when he played quidditch, or when he was working on an assignment. "I'd go anywhere with you and only you."
Theo nodded silently, kissing y/n again, this time as a promise. "It'll be done. And no more little lies."
"No more little lies," y/n agreed, pulling them both down on her bed.

MR. SILVAIR YANDERE DRABBLE !
CW 𓂃 gn!reader, yandere!Mr. Silvair, loss of limbs, canon-typical violence, captivity
Mr. Silvair is very interesting to me because he rejects you, but I can definitely see him eventually adoring you like a cute little unruly pet that doesn't know any better.
What made you so interesting to him in the first place is your desperate struggle to hold on to your humanity. Out of all of the unfortunate idiots who made their way here, you survived the longest with your sanity in tact. It's so impressive that Mr. Silvair actually thinks you have a chance of making it back with your mind in one piece.
A part of him wished you had stayed in his lab for longer so he could pick you apart in closer detail, but he knew that would lead him nowhere. What Mr. Silvair needed was progress— for your sanity to deteriorate.
And the change is drastic. You were once a trembling good-for-nothing that would have likely died in two days without Mr. Crawling's help, but now you bite. Now you can twist limbs and tear torsos apart with your bare hands. Now you roam these hallways as the predator searching for prey, and, soon, you'll become another one of the many bloodthirsty residents here.
Not that Mr. Silvair would allow it to get to that point, though, as he proceeds to restrain and detain you in one of his many cells. Why would he allow the perfect test subject to slip away from his fingers so easily? As a token of your short-lived friendship, he even went out of his way and gave you a clean cell! He also arranged occasional visits from Mr. Chopped (but never Mr. Crawling) whenever you stayed docile long enough on the operating table. Nevermind your many escape attempts and increasing hostility, you'll understand soon enough.
In there, you're safe and that's all that matters. It's your temporary abode away while you 'rehabilitate', a safe space where you can't hurt anyone or yourself. You used to be so bothered by the lack of limbs, but you've stopped resisting. He thinks you're starting to learn how inconvenient it is to be in this helpless state— how futile resistance is. You're starting to behave.
Mr. Silvair observes that you now like getting headpats these days. Maybe a few kisses here and there to remind you of your long lost affection for him. Mr. Silvair can't accurately assess whether you hate it or not, though. What happened to the good old days when you used to run to his door for safety whenever you got chased down by something much larger than you? Now you hate this place when it used to be your only space of rest and respite.
As a special treat, he brings you interesting knick knacks that should remind you of your human life. But really, it's a special treat for him because he enjoys watching you pretend it's not making you miserable to be reminded of your past life. Either way, you'll take any positive attention you get from him, no matter how condescending, over the long hours on that wretched table. You can bark and hiss all you want but it doesn't change the fact that you crave any sense of normalcy, even if it comes in the form of his twisted affection for you.
It's cute, almost. Mr. Silvair enjoys being relied upon by something that was once so terrifying. He enjoys reducing you and chipping away at your autonomy, from the physical to the mental. He's at least self-aware enough to acknowledge that it's no longer a research project to him, but a perverse achievement to have you like this.
As interesting as it was to watch your descent into madness, Mr. Silvair wants to break you apart and be the one who puts you back together. It really doesn't matter how many times he has to break your limbs until you've learnt your lesson.

Part Two | Series Masterlist | Part Four
Kento scowled.
He sat stiffly on the leather couch that occupied most of the living room space, watching as you took container after container out of a brown paper bag with a grease stain pooling at the bottom. The desire to march to the kitchen and find the surface spray and kitchen towel to wipe up any damage to his coffee table was rampant. But he didn’t. He sat still with a growing grimace.
“You think you could stop scowling at me?” you said from your spot on the floor, sitting cross-legged with your back to him. “I can feel your distaste crawling up my spine.”
“I am not scowling,” he lied mulishly.
“Yes, you are, but whatever. I did ask if you wanted to add anything to the order. You were the one to turn your nose up at Chinese takeout. I guess you’re used to the finer things in life, Mr Nanami.”
His mouth opened to respond, but he snapped it shut just as quickly. He would not get into a petty argument over his preference of cuisine. The sinking feeling of resignation reared its head once more. Could he honestly share his apartment with you for the next two weeks without you both at each other’s throats?
“Remind me again why am I even considering hosting you?” He half hissed, pinching the bridge of his nose, and sat forward in his seat until his elbows were braced upon his knees.
You paused. The chopsticks you were using to pile rice onto an expensive-looking plate froze in midair. At last, you twisted your neck to look around, adopting a sheepish expression.
He was right, as annoying as that fact might be.
This was his home, and he had every right to send you on your merry way, whether you had somewhere to stay or not–the latter being the case. You were sharply reminded of his stricken features when you explained your plight. How he had grabbed up the glass which you had just finished draining of whatever potent amber liquor he preferred and went looking for a refill. A large one. A large one which he swallowed in one long gulp.
Kento had the same eyes as his sister, Karin. They were rich hazel, and they had the strange ability to lighten or darken depending on their mood. They crackled like popping logs in a roaring hearth when joyful or amused and darkened to the deepest mahogany when angered or upset. This you noticed as he questioned you over and over, his fingers running ruefully through his hair and those eyes that followed your every nervous jerk or twitch became pits of darkness.
“Sorry,” you said quietly. “Are you sure I can’t tempt you into sharing something with me? I ordered way too much, there will be leftovers for days if you don’t.” It was your version of a peace offering. Anything to prevent him from backtracking on the shaky agreement you had reached.
Kento’s nose wrinkled in distaste at the thought of leftovers crowding his fridge and the smells that might permeate into the fresh produce or homemade meals that were labelled and waiting to be eaten.
With a long sigh, he lowered himself to the floor and sat by your left elbow. “Fine. It is probably wise for me to put something other than alcohol in my stomach anyway. Serve yourself what you want and I’ll have what is left.”
“Aye, captain!”
“Don’t do that,” he scolded, rolling his eyes at your salute, but there was no heat in the words. If anything, he was amused and you smiled knowingly to yourself as you began to dig into the meal.
He must be truly mad to be entertaining this prospect, but there was something he liked about you, even if he tried his best to deny it. You pushed back against him. It was refreshing. Kento enjoyed your quick wit and the ease with which you conversed with him. Sure, it was often at his expense but it was enjoyable in a way it never had been before.
As the youngest ever senior partner at work, he commanded respect from all. The junior partners and even those on the governing board often bowed their heads in reverence when in his presence. Yet it wasn’t so long ago that he had been a fresh-faced college graduate eager to reach his current lofty heights and he wondered absently if you possessed the same drive and determination. You certainly weren’t easily intimidated.
“Do you have a girlfriend, Mr Nanami?”
So lost in thought, Kento almost missed your question. It took him a moment to process and when it finally hit home, he nearly choked on his bite of peking duck.
“Excuse me?” he spluttered, banging a fist on his chest to clear the blockage in his throat.
Your cheeks warmed in amusement, impishly shrugging whilst you toyed with the remnants on your plate. It had been on your mind for a little while now. Your host was handsome—a thought you kept coming back to no matter how hard you tried to ignore it.
“I said, do you have a girlfriend?” you repeated.
“I don’t see what business that is of yours.”
He busied himself with rolling back the sleeves of his pristine white button up. Your lips quirked before you blew out a puff of air.
“Come on. It’s a simple question, no? Since you’ve agreed to give me a place to stay, surely I should know if I might run into someone else whilst I’m here.”
You had a point, and that bugged him. He was about to answer when you went on, nudging your elbow into his side and he caught a whiff of his body wash on your skin.
“Boyfriend then?” You baited him, though there would be no shame in it if he were more inclined towards his own sex. Other than perhaps the briefest disappointment. No! Shut that down now, you thought to yourself.
“Neither. If you must know.” He levelled an unimpressed stare in your direction and wiped his hands on a napkin.
How annoying the flare of hope that illuminated in your chest upon hearing his answer was. It had no place here, and you did your best to flatten your features into neutrality. You failed.
“I do, however, have a cleaner that visits each morning for a few hours to keep the place how I like it. I will alert Mrs McGarden that I have a guest so that she doesn’t enter your room without consent.” He nodded his head as if that was the end of the matter, trying and failing not to notice how you chewed your lip as if you were deep in thought. Cute.
“Speaking of rooms…” you trailed off as the first wave of tiredness hit you square in the face. It was early by your standards but the day had been filled with ups and downs like nothing you’d experienced before. “Where will I be sleeping?”
It was an innocent enough question, or you had meant it that way, but the lull that Kento left hanging over you both felt thick with something tangible but unknown. Right now your suitcase was still spread open wide on what you now knew to be his bed and you surely wouldn’t be sleeping there.
Before he could answer, his phone rang from the kitchen island, shrill and loud. “Excuse me a moment,” he said, hurriedly moving for the device and slipping down the hallway until he was out of sight.
“I can explain! Don’t yell.” The familiar voice said the second the phone was to his ear. Karin had finally braved his wrath and called back.
“I’ll give you two minutes.”
“Kento! I am not one of your underlings. Not that it matters, shut up. What was I saying?” Karin hissed through the phone and even without seeing her he knew that she was pushing hair out of her face as she always did when she was flustered or annoyed.
He sighed and silently counted to three. “Two. Minutes. Explain.”
“You’re meant to be out of the country, why aren’t you? I didn’t think you’d ever find out,” she hurried on, not waiting for an answer. Kento had long since known when not to interrupt his sister in full flow. “Mrs McGarden assured me that she would keep silent and I was only trying to help out a friend. She tried to refuse my offer. Said she’d find a couch or two to sleep on instead, can you imagine? You haven’t… kicked her out, have you?”
“I was firmly coerced into taking a vacation instead of attending the conference hence my presence. It seems I need to have words with Mrs McGarden as to where her loyalties lie, and no, I have not kicked your friend out,” he answered the questions in the order they were given, turning on the spot in his bedroom. “Though I have been sorely tempted,” he lied.
Karin audibly harrumphed. “Don’t lie, Kento, it’s not a good trait.”
“Who says I’m lying?”
“Oh, whatever. I don’t have time for your little temper tantrum. Y’know… I think she might be a good influence on you, relax you a little. You’re on vacation so maybe spend some time with your guest? She is very dear to me and I’ve got a lot of explaining to do since I never mentioned you to her.”
Kento could hear the genuine worry in her voice and it cooled some of the fires of his anger. His shoulders slumped and half-heartedly he agreed, even if he didn’t have any intention to do as Karin suggested. He would keep to himself and hope that you did the same.
He returned to the living room but found it empty. Glancing to the side he found you in the kitchen washing up the plates and humming. For a moment he simply stood and watched. Considering he had only just met you, he didn’t mind seeing you in his space and the words of his sister echoed in his mind.
“You didn’t need to do that,” he stated, finally making his presence known once more.
Smiling, you shrugged him off. “It was the least I could do, don’t worry about it.”
“Uh, Karin sends her apologies for the mixup. She assures me that she will make it up to you and explain everything when you see her next. Shall we pick a room for you now?”
Your chin jutted out, a wrinkle forming between your eyebrows at the mention of his sister. Kento could tell that Karin was going to be in for hell, and rightly so, when you reunited.
“Yes please, I’m pretty tired after… well, you know,” you stammered with an awkward laugh.
He did indeed know, though he would rather forget. Instead, he held out his arm for you to step ahead of him and followed you discreetly towards the two bedrooms that you could choose from.
The first was on the right and nearest to the living space, this was the room that Karin occupied when she visited and her mark was firmly stamped upon the interior. Kento watched from just outside the doorway as you tried and failed not to wince at the baby blue walls and the mountains of overstuffed pillows piled atop a cream bedspread with lace and frills.
In the corner stood her old dollhouse, untouched and in pristine condition thanks to a certain cleaner with whom he still needed to have several words with. You froze before it, curiosity lighting in your eyes and slowly you bent to inspect through the windows where the tiny families resided.
Before he could speak, you whirled around and brushed past with a soft apology for coming so close to him. Again, he could smell his body wash on you and he liked it even more this time.
“I don’t think this room will do,” you mused with downcast eyes.
“Not fond of dolls?” he guessed in what was more meant to be a joke but your guilty expression told him he had hit the nail on the head.
“There is another room, but… it’s next to my own. I hope you won’t mind?” Kento stalked forward and tilted his head in the direction of the room next to his.
You trotted after him and away from the prying eyes of the dolls in their fancy house, vowing silently not to enter that room again. You reached for him, anxious fingers clinging to the shirt encasing his bicep and tugging like a frightened child might do. It was his turn to freeze, his stare fixed on where you held him until he found your eyes and questioned the gesture without a word.
“You won’t tell her, will you? I just…” You shook your head and feigned a smile, you were being silly after all. “Nightmares as a child, that’s all.”
“My lips are sealed.” He smiled kindly until your hand fell away. “Now, come inside and see if this will do.”
He didn’t know what he’d do if it wasn’t, although he didn’t expect you were an overly demanding house guest even with the little he knew about you. He wasn’t above giving you his bed if it were necessary but it would be a last resort.
This room was decorated in soft pastel shades that were far less bright than the blue of Karin’s. The bed was turned down with what appeared to be an identical grey duvet to the one in the master bedroom.
There was a small vanity set opposite the window and a writing desk in the far corner. Everything was neutral in here, wiped clean as if it had never been occupied and it made you feel safe and warm.
“It’s perfect.”
Sitting on the corner of the bed, you glanced at Kento who stood respectfully in the door. He wasn’t looking at you, instead his eyes were wandering as if he were checking everything was clean enough. His frame filled the doorway, shoulders broad and imposing. Except you didn’t find him imposing, and that was the problem.
He must be at least five years older than you, not that you cared, you were a young woman not a teenager. You were reminded of how long you had gone without a boyfriend or even a lover. One night stands and casual situationships were never your thing so it had been some time since you had last felt an attraction like you did now.
This whole day felt like a fever dream.
You needed to rein in your train of thoughts but it was hard when Kento took a step deeper inside and the air seemed suddenly thick like syrup. His hands were deep in his pockets and finally he blew out a breath, making it easier for you to breathe too.
“If you’re sure. I’ll go grab your suitcase and bag for you,” he offered quietly.
It had to be your imagination but it seemed like he was struggling as much as you were. Although likely for a different reason. You were an unexpected guest and he very much seemed the type of person who was set in routine. You nodded your thanks and let him slip away.
“He is your best friend’s brother, get your act together woman! Stop lusting over him,” you scolded yourself in a hushed whisper.
It was going to be a long two weeks, that was for sure.

I loved ur alphabet nsfw with scarletella!!! BUTTT SPECIFICALLY the umbrella one!!! Is it possible to ummm maybe you'd write that whole situation down?? ANDDD I feel like he'd only do it if he's mad n being a lil petty!
MISUSE
a Mr. Scarletella x afab!reader fic. {an: ooo... i like this one.. i have a similar request and i will do both of them. love me some misuse of an object}
warnings! : misuse of an umbrella {handle is inserted, but you get poked with the tip}, bleeding, hatefucking, sadism, afab reader {i can write amab in another request if needed}, bondage, non/dub-con, "forced" blowjob, VERY SHORT FIC
{an : i was super excited to write this one, as soon as i got the notification for this request i had to write it. thank you all for the support! this one could be considered non-con, but its really just hate fucking, reader doesnt say no. sorry this one isnt long, its just a quick thing im writing before i go to sleep}
hiding didn't work. you could hear the static in your head, matter of fact you could see it too. the cold, and slightly damp flooring made your senses all the more tingling, head a bit woozy from all the running. it was innocent really, the man who always happened to be crawling brought you a gift, and in return you gave him a small peck on the cheek. you hadn't thought anything of it, but you saw him. he saw you too.
bold move. he saw it as defiance. doesn't matter if it was innocent or not, he noticed. he notices everything even when you don't know he is there. the moment you saw red flash in the corner of your eye, you knew you fucked up.
why did you touch that stupid umbrella..
hours passed and nothing happened. you assumed everything was fine, and that perhaps Mr. Scarletella had just gotten his feelings hurt, not angry as you had assumed. but your hopes were cut short when you heard him, his voice filled with static and coldness as usual.
"Knees."
the way he said it in his language unwillingly did something to you, though you would never admit it. sighing to yourself, you obey his command and slowly sink to your knees. your gaze is locked on the floor as his eyes glare at you. though you aren't looking at him, you can feel it.
his presence alone makes the room feel thick and uncomfortable, but having his cock shoved down your throat definitely didn't make it any better. it was your fault really. you knew better than to attempt to get past him. his strong hand on your hair made sure you were kept up as high as you could go without actually leaving your knees, his thick length clouding your senses as you desperately tried to choke it down. tears welled in your eyes and all you could see was that sadistic grin that he almost always had on his face, though it was wider this time.
once he had his fill, and so did you, he yanked your head off of him, watching sadistically as you gasp for air. the dried tears on your face only made his heart rate speed up, that shit eating grin never leaving his face.
"You, remove, clothing." he says. not even as a question, but a statement. sputtering and coughing up his leftovers, you grudgingly slip off your bottoms, eyes closed and face flushed with embarrassment. his head tilts and he hums in response, crouching down in front of you.
your body is tense, and your eyes are squeezed tight with anticipation. his long, slender hand makes you shiver at the coldness as he parts your leg, putting you on display for him. a few seconds go by, and just as you are about to open your eyes, you feel a cold poke to your clit. its cold, and strange, making your eyes snap open to stare at the foreign object.
his umbrella.
you start stuttering and looking up at him with a worried expression, the tip of it pressed firmly against your clit. he experimentally moves it back and fourth, making your hips unwillingly jerk from the sensations. your face heats up and you watch carefully as he flips the object around, suddenly pressing the edge of the handle against your opening. "w-what the fuck.. what? that wont fit.. what are you do-" you begin to argue, but are quickly cut off as he pushes it in, using the curled part to his advantage and pushing it as deep as he can. you let out a shriek, thighs trembling and hands firmly planted on the damp ground beside you. he makes a few curious thrusts with it, seemingly getting off on the view, or maybe even feeling it himself.
"a-ah.. hurts.. mngh.." you manage to choke out, your voice a low whine as he twists the handle inside of you. he seems to notice a bit of blood around your opening, only exciting him further as he thrusts it faster. your legs lift slightly and you cry out, his hand shooting to cover your mouth as to not alert the other members. eyes clenched shut, he curves the handle just the perfect amount, that for some reason makes your vision go black for a second as you unwillingly orgasm around the foreign object.
pathetic noises leave your lips, his hand tightening around your lower face as his grin only grows wider. "Good." he mutters, slowly pulling the umbrella out of you. his hand leaves your face and before you can think properly he is pushing the handle into your mouth, effectively making you taste the mix of cum and blood off of it. "Clean." and so you do. you quickly suck off whatever you can, your face tired and worn. he pulls it out of your mouth and pats your head, before static surrounds him.
and hes gone.

BEHOLD!!! AN ART TRADE!!! @pixlokita it is time!
Caution, do not click read more if you do not intend to read. This is 12,192 words. And no, I'm not kidding. This is so much longer than most of the stuff I write. That being said, enjoy!!!
Evan said Michael was sick, which worried Jeremy. Being sick should not mean Michael would try so hard to avoid Jeremy, especially since he knew it would make Jeremy worry about him more.
But the main part Jeremy was worried about was the way Evan’s new wings kept fluffing up. Was Michael mad at him?
Don’t worry about it, Jeremy, he told himself. If Michael’s mad, he’ll tell you eventually.
It just stung. Evan and Gregory were wandering around the house, trying to see if their wings would allow them to do various things. Evan’s were too small to do much, and Gregory still hadn’t gotten used to them yet, but at least they had something to do while Mr. Emily tried to figure out what could possibly cause this.
“Ugh!” Gregory exclaimed, plopping down on the sofa next to Jeremy. He took the soda from Jeremy’s hand and took a giant sip. “These things suck.”
“What do you mean?” Jeremy asked, unsuccessfully trying to retrieve his Coke.
“I mean,” Gregory scowled, taking another sip, “that wings are stupid. They don’t even bend the way I want them to.”
“Well…” Jeremy said thoughtfully. “They are just extra limbs, right? With bones and joints and stuff?”
“I guess so.” Gregory finally gave Jeremy his soda back. “But they don’t move how I want-“
“You couldn’t do much when you were a baby right? Learning to crawl?” Jeremy chugged the rest of his Coke before putting the empty can down. “It’s an accomplishment when babies get their heads off the floor on their own, you know. And rolling and stuff.”
“Oh.” Gregory clearly hadn’t thought about it that way. “But Evan’s got excellent control already.”
“He’s had them longer.” Jeremy shrugged. “Maybe he’s just a quick learner. Or maybe, there’s less wing to work with. Could be a bunch of things.”
“But…” Gregory sighed. He inched closer to Jeremy on the couch, his wings refusing to bend in a natural way.
Jeremy awkwardly looped a comforting arm around Gregory. “You’ll get there eventually.”
“They just hurt. All the time.”
“I can’t help with that,” Jeremy chuckled.
“Sure you can! Mike did this thing once, where he…” Gregory chewed his lip. “Well, I’m not exactly sure what he did.”
“You want me to pet you?” Jeremy said in disbelief. “Nuh uh. Go ask Evan. That’s not… No.”
“Why’d you make it weird?” Gregory shook his head. “It was like…”
“Like a shoulder massage,” Evan interjected helpfully. His wings flexed, expanding fully as he explained. They barely went past his shoulders, but the point got across.
Jeremy admired the confidence with which he showed them. He’d personally be too worried about people calling him a freak. Which, thinking about it, was not likely to happen in this house. Everyone was too nice here.
“Mikey went like this,” Evan said, pulling Jeremy’s arm back to get to Gregory’s wings.
Gently, Evan messaged the inner edge of Gregory’s wings, right where they extended from his back. Gregory’s wings convulsed, the claw on one nearly hitting Jeremy in the face. “I think they get itchy,” Evan mused. “We might have to just do this more often.”
“No kidding,” Gregory said with a sigh, his eyes closing and his shoulders relaxing. “But Mike’s still better at it.”
“Wonder where he got his practice,” Jeremy replied. He didn’t mean to sound bitter, but it still came across that way.
Evan winched, but he didn’t comment on it. Instead, he kept focused on his task. Gregory sighed absently. “Wings are a lot of work.”
“Seems that way,” Jeremy replied.
Gregory folded and unfolded his hands while Evan worked. “I just…”
Jeremy spared him a glance as he went to get another can of Coke. “Something on your mind?”
“His girlfriend,” Evan said absently.
“Cassie’s not my girlfriend!” Gregory said, straightening. His wings fluffed up as he said it.
“Oh.” Jeremy had no idea what to make of that. “What happened to her?”
“I don’t know!” Gregory replied. He ran a hand through his hair to try to make it lay flat. “She was at Evan’s party, and she looked really bad. I think Mike took care of it, but he didn’t really say anything about it afterwards.”
“She’s probably at the hospital, Gregory,” Evan replied, trying to be soothing. “We can visit her once we figure out what to do about this first.”
“Stupid wings,” Gregory grumbled. “Making everything harder.”
Jeremy didn’t know how to reply to that. He cracked the can open and took a sip. “Have you asked Mike?”
“He’s sick,” Evan answered for Gregory. His wings fluffed up again.
“Maybe we should check on him then. He’s been resting all week right?” Jeremy asked, trying to be casual about it. Evan had been very guarded about his older brother this whole time.
Jeremy came over every day, and every day, Evan said the same thing. “Mike’s sick. He can’t see anyone right now.”
It had been happening since the day Gregory’s wings had burst through his skin. Jeremy was more than a little concerned. Sure, he hadn’t reacted well to the wings at first, but none of them had. He’d been more supportive when Evan’s had burst through later that same day.
But Michael’s expression became very guarded for the rest of the day, and the next day, he was “sick” and couldn’t see Jeremy. And Evan was very good at shooing Jeremy away when he tried too hard to see him.
“Shouldn’t he eat something?” Jeremy asked.
Evan frowned. “Mikey told me that there’s not much he can stomach right now.”
“Crackers always work,” Jeremy mumbled to himself. Shaking his head, he tried again. “What about water? Maybe he’ll start feeling better with some fluids.”
“I… guess…” Evan seemed less sure. Conflicted, he looked at Gregory and then glanced at the closed door to his cousin’s room.
“I can get it. You keep helping Gregory,” Jeremy said quickly. He didn’t want Evan to change his mind.
Evan relented, nodding slightly. “Okay. Make sure to get him a big glass. And don’t be loud. And-“
“I know how it works when someone’s sick, thank you.” Jeremy set his Coke down and rushed back to the kitchen to grab a glass.
Evan had not been exaggerating. When Jeremy crept into the room with the glass of water, Michael was curled into a tight ball on the bed.
“Mike?” Jeremy whispered into the quiet room.
Michael groaned in response. He rolled over to face Jeremy, exposing the hair plastered to his face with sweat.
“I um.” Jeremy swallowed. He felt a little foolish now. Michael was just literally sick. He wasn’t mad at Jeremy or anything like that. “I brought you some water.”
Michael opened his eyes, feebly reaching for the glass.
“Are you strong enough to hold it on your own?” Jeremy asked.
Michael had to consider that for a moment. Then he shook his head.
“Here-“ Jeremy sat next to Michael on the bed, helping pull him into an upright position so he could drink the water.
Michael leaned heavily against Jeremy, eagerly drinking the water. Jeremy had to brace himself against the wall to support the extra weight. Then abruptly, Michael pulled away.
“J… Jeremy,” Michael whispered weakly. He gripped at Jeremy’s jacket, burying his face in Jeremy’s shirt. “I…”
“It’s okay, Mike-“
Michael seized in Jeremy’s arms, sobbing heavily. His hold got tighter and tighter as his body shuddered with pain. Jeremy tried to set the glass on the bedside table, but he barely had it on the edge and water soaked into the carpet as he pulled Michael the rest of the way into his lap. “I got you,” Jeremy said into Michael’s hair.
“It hurts,” Michael cried, still shaking.
“You’ll get through this,” Jeremy mumbled.
A tearing noise broke through the sound of Michael’s sobs, even as they intensified. “JEREMY!!!” Michael wailed.
“I have you, Mike. It’s okay. You’ll be okay.”
Dimly, Jeremy registered the large wings erupting from Michael’s back. Oh. Oh. This was happening now. Bloody feathers spread out, wrapping around Jeremy to return his comforting gesture.
Gradually, Michael’s crying ceased, and Jeremy was left holding an exhausted teenager with bloody wings. “I am sorry,” Michael whispered, pulling his hands back, the wings retracting slightly. “I did not mean to, uh…”
“It’s okay, Michael.” Jeremy tried to smile at him. He was determined not to squirm in discomfort from all the blood currently soaking into his jacket.
“I… should go shower,” Michael said awkwardly.
“Yeah…” Jeremy wriggled uncomfortably in his jacket.
“Sorry,” Michael said. “I can wash that if you want.”
“It’s not the biggest deal,” Jeremy said.
“It is if you go home wearing a jacket covered in blood,” Michael replied. “It’s only fair that I clean it, since that’s my blood.”
That wasn’t how Jeremy saw it, but he figured he wasn’t getting out of this. “Okay.”
Michael shifted carefully, putting his feet on the carpet. Almost instantly after taking his weight off the bed, he completely lost his balance. His wings flew out, trying to redistribute the weight, but Jeremy didn’t realize that as he caught Michael by the waist. Both of them tumbled off the bed, Jeremy hitting the carpet with a soft ‘oomph.’
“I am sorry. This was not my intent,” Michael said from above Jeremy.
“They take some getting used to, huh?” Jeremy replied, trying to ignore the heat rising to his face.
It hadn’t been much on the bed with Michael clinging to him like a lifeline. But on the floor with Michael on top of him, pinning him to the ground, Jeremy was suddenly aware of how close Michael was to him.
Michael smiled ruefully. “I don’t think I’m strong enough to walk on my own right now. I don’t know how I’m going to wash all this blood off by myself.”
“Maybe your uncle could help?”
“He’s probably back at the library again,” Michael mused as he crawled off Jeremy.
Evan wouldn’t be able to handle it, Jeremy knew that much. And he couldn’t ask for Gregory’s help without alerting Evan to the amount of blood that coated them both.
“Do you want me to help?” Jeremy asked, feeling the heat more intensely in his face. Please say no. He didn’t think he’d be able to handle it.
“Really?” Michael chewed his lip, considering it. “I would not want to be a bother… But if you are offering…”
Jeremy’s heart quickened at the prospect. “R-right.”
“Help me up?” Michael asked.
Jeremy pulled Michael to his feet, unprepared for the wings to wrap around him again. “Um.”
“Sorry. I don’t have much control over them yet,” Michael replied sheepishly.
“Do they want me to carry you?” Jeremy gauged the idea of carrying Michael to the bathroom. It wasn’t the worst idea he’d ever come up with.
“It’d probably be less awkward than walking there like this,” Michael agreed.
“So I’m just going to…” Jeremy twisted around in the space the wings allowed him. Michael hissed out a pained breath, but soon he was behind Jeremy. “How well can you jump?”
Pretty well, apparently. Jeremy barely needed to adjust for the weight of Michael on his own back, hands linked beneath Michael’s knees. “Okay. Let’s get you taken care of.”
“I am not a child, Jer,” Michael said wearily. Still, he pressed the side of his face into Jeremy’s hair. “I am sorry to be such a burden.”
“You’re not a burden, Mike. You’re my friend. I’m absolutely willing to help you out when you’re in need.”
“Mmmmm,” Michael sounded almost mournful. But he didn’t argue.
“Okay,” Jeremy said. “So, I’m thinking they might need a decent soaking, right? Birds like to be fully submerged when they clean their wings right?”
Michael blinked at him from where he sat on the toilet lid. “What are you even saying?”
“The blood.”
“It is not dried yet. Not completely anyway.”
“So what? You were planning to just wing this whole thing, weren’t you?” Jeremy shrugged off his jacket.
Michael snorted. “I was planning to shower, Jeremy. But I guess I was planning to wing it, considering how I have wings now.” His wings stretched as he spoke, emphasizing his point. “I just don’t have the strength to stand there long enough to wash them off.”
“I-“ Jeremy sputtered. Clearing his throat, he tried to skip over the accidental pun he’d made. “Just going to let the water do the work?”
“That’s the goal.” Michael frowned. “There’s just a few problems.”
“Such as?”
“My shirt isn’t going to come off the same way it went on this morning.”
“Are you particularly attached to that shirt?” Jeremy asked.
“Not really. Could try to just-“ Michael pulled at the collar of his shirt.
“I’ll go grab a pair of scissors,” Jeremy said as Michael pulled experimentally at his shirt again.
He had to be careful walking by the couch, noticing Evan curled up for a nap. Gregory was nowhere in sight.
Returning with the scissors, Jeremy nearly dropped them upon seeing Michael. “What happened? I was gone for two minutes!”
Michael’s shirt was hanging off his body in shreds. When Jeremy looked closer, he could see sharp claws on Michael’s hands. “I…” Michael shrugged sheepishly. “I thought I could tear the fabric and take it off myself.”
Jeremy’s mouth twitched, but he didn’t let himself laugh. “Okay. I don’t think you did a very good job of it though.”
“It seems as though I failed…”
“Here, let me just…” Jeremy carefully reached around Michael’s head, one knee resting between his legs. It felt strange to be cutting through Michael’s shirt, but as the fabric gave way, Michael seemed to relax a little more.
Jeremy recalled Gregory and Evan both sitting on the couch as Michael measured the shape they needed cut from their shirts for the wings. Perhaps Michael needed a few of those done as well. Something to keep in mind for later.
“Hey, why is there blood all over-“ Gregory’s eyes widened as he peered into the bathroom.
Michael straightened quickly. Jeremy pulled back, hiding the scissors. “Hello.” Michael waved awkwardly, his wings stiff and very clearly exposed.
“You… you have them too?” Gregory’s voice seemed so small.
“Yes, it appears as though we will match.”
Gregory swallowed harshly. “I can help. I know how to get blood stains out of fabric.”
“I would really appreciate it. Thank you, Superstar.” Michael beamed at Gregory, who flushed a deep red.
“It’s no big deal…”
“Not to you,” Jeremy said softly. “But it helps more than you realize. Thank you.”
Gregory opened his mouth to reply, but no words came out. He scratched his neck as his wings fluffed up, finally saying, “I’ll be quick. It probably won’t be good if Evan finds out.”
“It would be best if he did not know how messy the process is,” Michael agreed.
Gregory nodded, smoothing his hair down before hurrying out of the room.
Michael wadded the scraps of his shirt into a ball and tossed it to the floor. “Now that that’s sorted…”
Jeremy determinedly kept his eyes from wandering as he helped Michael stand. His friend leaned heavily against him for support as he attempted to undo his pants.
Jeremy belatedly realized that the only way this whole thing would work was if the shower ran over both of them. I’m going to be drenched, he thought sorrowfully as Michael muttered to himself in frustration.
“You could probably just sit while I wash the blood off,” Jeremy said when Michael finally stood there in his boxers. “Since it would be less exhausting for you.”
Michael blinked. “I suppose you are correct. I should have thought this through more.”
“It’s no big deal, man. You’re probably dealing with blood loss or whatever.”
“Still…”
“Hey, it’s fine. You spend all this time taking care of everybody. Maybe it’s time someone took care of you, right?”
Michael chewed his lip. “I suppose.”
“Okay. We’ll get you cleaned up in no time, Mike.” Jeremy said, smiling supportively. Michael tentatively smiled back.
As it turned out, it was a lot harder to clean up Michael than Jeremy initially thought. He kept twitching away, hissing out noises of pain at Jeremy’s touch.
Michael clenched his fists in his lap. “Okay. Clearly this is not the proper solution.”
“I can’t do this when it’s clearly hurting you, Mike. I just…” Jeremy leaned forward to rest his head against the back of Michael’s.
“This is nothing. I have endured much worse before.”
“That’s not as reassuring as you think it is.”
“Jeremy.” Michael said calmly, wringing water out of the washcloth. “I am sure it has become clear to you that things are not how they should be. The wings are only one part of it.”
“Yeah? What I’m hearing is that your father is abusive.” Jeremy wearily took the washcloth back, dabbing it gently against the space between Michael’s wings. At least like that it didn’t seem to hurt him.
“Well, not in the way you would think. Actually, I was thinking more of the comparison between growing limbs and losing organs. I think losing organs is still a more painful experience than this.”
“So you want me to just ignore your pain?” Jeremy asked, trying to decipher Michael’s meaning.
“I am saying I can handle it. I can be a man about this.”
No one is doubting that, Jeremy thought grimly to himself. “Maybe I can’t.” He tentatively rubbed at a clump of blood in the inner edge of Michael’s wing.
Immediately, it swung at him, throwing him against the sink. Pain flared throughout Jeremy’s entire body as he hit the floor. Faintly he registered that his face was bleeding.
“Jeremy?” Michael asked, twisting around. “Are you alright?”
“Nnnnngh,” Jeremy groaned. “I don’t think I broke anything.”
“I am so sorry. It appears that the wings are more sensitive than I thought.”
“No kidding.” Jeremy pressed his fingers to his cheek. He was lucky. The clawed joint of Michael’s wing had hit him just below the eye. Any higher, and he might’ve lost it completely. “Now what?”
“I suppose I should just sit under the water and hope for the best.”
“I think Gregory and Evan mentioned messages working out the soreness. Maybe I could at the very least-“
“I think we should avoid that for now,” Michael replied, his voice sounding stiff. “You have already been hurt once today.”
“Michael.” Jeremy tried to make his voice sound stern. “I knew the risks when I offered to help. So let me help.”
“Fine. Just do not do anything that will put you in danger again.”
“Don’t lie about how much it hurts next time,” Jeremy shot back. “Still gotta get all that blood out of your wings, you know.”
Michael clenched his jaw, but he only stared down into his hands. He couldn’t face Jeremy with the nasty cut on his face any longer.
Jeremy was lighter after that. He knew that even pressing a little too hard would make the wings spaz, and over the course of the next few hours, he succeeded with minimal interruptions.
Gregory popped in near the end to check on the progress. “Henry’s back. Do you want me to tell him about this?” He gestured at the entirety of the bathroom.
“I believe he should be informed. Please ensure that my brother does not come to investigate before we are done here.”
“And maybe grab him a dry set of clothes while you’re at it,” Jeremy said. As an afterthought, he looked at himself. “Maybe grab me something too, if you would.”
Gregory rolled his eyes. “Yeah, yeah. How much does it hurt?”
“I suspect that I should be in more pain than I am,” Michael said, considering the question. “But Jeremy has done an excellent job of making sure the process is less than agonizing.”
“Uh, okay?” Gregory shot Jeremy a look.
“I can’t hardly touch him without the wings reacting,” Jeremy explained. “Nearly lost an eye the first time I did that.”
“So it’s bad.”
“It’s bad,” Jeremy agreed.
Gregory shot Michael a look loaded with concern, but he gave Jeremy a thumbs up. “I’ll ask Henry if he can get you guys some dry clothes. Maybe I’ll just imply that something else is going on in here if Evan asks.” He wiggled his eyebrows in a way that made Jeremy’s face burn.
“Gregory-“
But Gregory had already ducked out of the room, laughing quietly to himself. Jeremy sighed, preparing himself for the inevitable glares he’d get from Evan.
Michael sighed softly once Jeremy finally went to smooth out the wings. “That feels really nice.”
“Glad to hear it,” Jeremy said softly. “I think we got all the blood out.”
“Is it time to turn the water off then?” Michael asked, his eyes closing.
“I’d say so.” Thank goodness, Jeremy thought as he turned the dials back and pressed the tab down. “Now you need to dry off a bit.”
“Mmmmm….” Michael hummed to himself as Jeremy stepped into the tub with a towel and started rubbing Michael’s head with it.
Michael’s eyes fluttered open, and he smiled at Jeremy. “You really do like taking care of me, don’t you?”
Jeremy huffed out a sigh. “I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t, would I?”
“I thought you just stuck around to steal our Coca Cola.”
“That too. But I do enjoy your company, Mike.”
The smile broke into a full grin as Michael tugged the towel out of Jeremy’s hands. “That is wonderful news, Jeremy.”
Did he really not know? Jeremy wondered.
Before he had a chance to answer, Henry peered into the bathroom, assessing the pool of water on the floor. He raised a tired eyebrow as he observed the two boys in the bathtub. “I wasn’t inclined to believe Gregory before, but seeing it for myself…”
Jeremy’s face ignited with heat. “I was just helping clean blood from his wings. Nothing else happened, I swear.”
“I was referring to the fact that Michael grew wings. What did you think I meant?” Henry’s eyebrows scrunched, and Michael gave Jeremy a funny look.
“I thought Gregory might’ve said something else,” Jeremy replied, shaking his head. “Forget it.”
“Are you alright, Jeremy? You look a bit feverish…” A frown tugged at the corner of Michael’s mouth.
“I’m going to go grab some more towels. And you two will be wanting a dry set of clothes, won’t you?”
“Yeah.” Jeremy nodded quickly.
Henry hummed at them before walking back out of the room.
“I am grateful for both you and Gregory,” Michael said, using the towel to dry the rest of his body. He slowly rose to his feet, finally able to stand on his own.
Jeremy determinedly did not stare. Instead, he wrung water from his hair.
“I would offer you the towel, but I believe it is too wet to be any real help. Seeing as your clothes are also drenched, the best course of action is to wait for Henry to return.”
Jeremy smiled weakly. “Yeah, that’s true.”
Michael stepped out of the tub, hanging the towel back on the rack after he went. Jeremy could admit that the wings looked pretty good on Mike. He’d been weary of it when he’d first seen the wings on Gregory, and he knew that Gregory was defensive about it now. But maybe seeing him help Michael would help.
“Do you need a bandage for your face?” Michael asked, making eye contact with Jeremy through the mirror above the sink.
“Oh, I uh.” Jeremy blinked at him. “It doesn’t… It’s fine.”
“Are you sure?” Michael’s mouth twitched. “I understand that me being like this must be unpleasant for you, but that does not mean you do not need assistance with that cut.”
Being like this? Was Michael phrasing things like that on purpose? Was he talking about the fact that he was in his boxers or the fact that he had wings? Jeremy crossed his arms before remembering that his shirt was soaked. He uncrossed them and simply said, “There is no problem. I just don’t need a Band-Aid.”
Michael walked back over, and Jeremy tried to take a step back before remembering he was standing in a bathtub. Trapped, Jeremy stood stiffly as Michael ran a thumb over his scratch. Don’t flinch, he told himself, but it still stung. The cut was pretty deep.
“You likely do need a bandage, despite your claim otherwise,” Michael replied. “I can help, if you need assistance.”
Michael gently wiped blood from Jeremy’s face and went in search of medical supplies. It stung when he cleaned the wound, but Jeremy found himself too fascinated by Michael’s cautious care to really notice. The tiniest furrow in Michael’s eyebrows appeared when he put the bandage on Jeremy’s face, and his hands lingered on Jeremy’s jaw for just a moment too long.
He almost seemed sad when he stepped back from Jeremy. “All better. See?” Michael smiled so quickly Jeremy wondered if he’d imagined the pain in Michael’s eyes.
“Y… yeah. Um. Thanks.” Jeremy touched the bandage, surprised by how big it was. “I didn’t realize the scratch was that big.”
“I still feel terrible for doing that to you. Is there any way I can make it up to you?” Michael asked.
Unable to come up with anything to say other than a request for Michael to kiss him, Jeremy shook his head and turned his attention to Michael’s wings. “Do they still hurt?”
“Not as much as they did,” Michael flexed them experimentally. Jeremy smiled faintly, recalling that Gregory was having immense difficulty controlling his own wings. Perhaps the size made it easier.
Michael made a face. “It appears that moving them still hurts, however.”
“Evan mentioned something about messaging the muscles earlier. He was doing it for Gregory.”
Michael brightened. “I suppose I shall have to ask for Evan’s help with that endeavor then. Thank you for the reminder.”
I could do it for you, Jeremy thought desperately. He didn’t want to just have to leave after everything. This was the most time he’d spent with Michael before, and the guy was just so chill about everything. But being in the same space as him, watching him interact with his brother and Gregory made him want to stay so much longer. Michael Afton was the most compassionate person Jeremy had ever met, and he wanted to be able to help the man who tried so hard to help everyone else.
It didn’t help that Jeremy was also hopelessly in love with him.
As Jeremy opened his mouth to speak, Henry returned with the changes of clothes. Michael turned his attention away from Jeremy to thank Henry and apologize for the water all over the floor, and Jeremy was left to awkwardly collect the pile of bloody clothes on the floor to offer them to Henry.
Henry stared at the rags for a moment, his face paling significantly. “These were Michael’s clothes?”
“Yes.” Michael was separating the clothes to split between himself and Jeremy, and he was hardly focused on Henry. “I could not find a way to safely remove my shirt without causing more pain, so Jeremy helped me cut it off. I am afraid blood does not come out of denim very easily, so my jeans are also a lost cause.”
Brightening, Michael put a bundle of clothing into Jeremy’s arms. “You can change in Charlie’s old room.”
“Why can’t you both change in here?” Henry asked, sounding confused.
Pressure built in Jeremy’s throat as he tried to answer that question. It wasn’t that he was ashamed of himself. Not by any measure at all. He just knew it was dangerous, what he was. People didn’t exactly approve of people like him, after all. Especially not here.
Michael gave Henry a scathing look as tears built up behind Jeremy’s eyes. “Maybe we don’t want to change in the same room.”
Henry blinked in surprise, but he glanced between the two boys for a moment before making his exit. Michael patted Jeremy’s shoulder. “I can go to Charlie’s room instead, if you would prefer to change in here.”
Jeremy still couldn’t speak, so he just nodded. The gentle way Michael nodded back at him filled his body with a strange warmth. A few moments later, Michael was gone, and Jeremy could finally change out of the sopping wet layers he’d been in this whole time.
Half-way through changing, Jeremy noticed that most of the clothes were baggy and easy to layer over each other. There were almost too many options. A jolt ran through him when he considered that Michael had sorted through the clothes. Either Michael was very particular, or he knew.
Hurriedly, Jeremy finished changing and practically ran to the bedroom where Michael said he’d be changing. He basically flung the door open to a startled Mike, who had jeans on but no shirt. “Is something wrong?” Michael asked.
His wings and hair fluffed up, like he’d been expecting a threat, but his expression was one of concern. Jeremy knew he was shaking, knew he wouldn’t be able to speak for a moment, but he stood there and just stared. Why did Michael have to be adorable in everything he did? The way his mouth curled into a frown made half of his mouth seem to vanish, like he was biting on it constantly distracted Jeremy from what he wanted to say.
He let his eyes wander over Michael’s bare torso as he tried to find the words to speak. The worst of his secrets was surely out already, and if Michael figured out his feelings, it would be less painful than him knowing the other secret.
Fascination over the jagged scar across Michael’s chest sprouted in his heart. Jeremy had seen it before, of course. He’d seen it in the bathroom, but he’d been trying not to stare before.
“Jeremy?” Michael looked worried now. “Are you alright?”
Maybe Michael didn’t know. Maybe he just hadn’t grabbed a shirt at all, since they had to be cut specifically for the wings anyway. Jeremy was probably just overreacting. And even if he wasn’t, it seemed that Michael wasn’t going to bring it up. “Uhmm. I just… wanted to make sure you were okay.”
Michael relaxed. “I’m quite alright, Jeremy. I’m not as weak as I was before. The shower certainly helped.”
“You’re um. You’re very fluffy right now.”
“Am I?” Michael ran a hand through his hair, feeling where it stuck up all over the place. “Oh.”
“Yeah.” Jeremy cleared his throat awkwardly. “Thanks for talking to Henry back there.”
“It was nothing.” Michael blinked at him, wings twitching. “Gregory did a good job cleaning up.” He gestured at the carpet and the bed.
The bed was made very neatly, corners tucked so much better than Jeremy could do on a good day. There were only faint hints that someone had been bleeding there, and they were only visible because Jeremy was looking for them. “Yeah. He certainly did.”
A fond smile crossed Michael’s face at that. “He’s so sweet.”
Jeremy didn’t really believe that, but he nodded anyway. He didn’t want Michael to stop smiling for anything. It was so much better than his frown in every possible way.
“We should… I um. I think we should probably head back to the living room,” Jeremy said awkwardly.
“Right, yes. I suppose it is almost time for you to head home too.” Michael blinked, like he was shaking himself out of a daydream. “Or maybe you could stay for supper?”
Jeremy smiled. “I would love that.”
Evan was awestruck when he saw his brother’s wings. “They’re so big!”
“Soft too,” Jeremy said, trying to encourage Evan’s excitement.
Gregory made a noise in the back of his throat before saying, “You would know, wouldn’t you?”
Jeremy stared at him, mouth opening and closing without words coming out.
“No softer than yours, I’m sure,” Michael said, trying to keep the peace. There wasn’t even a hint of a blush on his face at Gregory’s words. Were the jokes just going over his head? Maybe Jeremy was reading too much into it.
Shaking his head, Jeremy plopped down on the couch beside Gregory. “What happened to your face?” Gregory asked quietly.
“I wasn’t careful enough,” Jeremy answered, glancing at the two brothers as they talked about Michael’s new wings. “And Mike’s wings pack quite the punch.”
“Oh.” Gregory’s eyes widened with understanding. “That could’ve been bad.”
“You’re telling me, kid.” Jeremy shook his head, taking a sip from his can of Coke. “What were you and Evan up to today?”
“Videogames mostly,” Gregory replied. “Although everything here is so old.”
“Old?” Jeremy wrinkled his nose. “Nah, my parents are worse. You’re probably just picky. A bunch of this stuff is newer than anything my family could afford.”
“Your motorcycle is cool though.”
Jeremy smiled. “It is pretty cool.”
“Can you take me on it sometime?”
The smile faltered slightly. “Uh, I don’t know.”
“C’mon, please? All the stuff here is pretty boring, and I know Evan tries to be fun, but you can only play the same game for so long before it’s lame. And I don’t want to have to tell him it’s lame. It’s awful when he cries.”
Jeremy didn’t know what to make of that. “Maybe we could play a board game or something.”
“I wanna go on your bike sometime.” Gregory stuck out his chin stubbornly. “Or I’m going to tell Mike you have the biggest crush on him and-“
“Okay, okay! I get it. But you’ll have to wear a helmet,” Jeremy said, looking away and tugging at his shirt. “And long pants. Just in case.”
“Okay, Dad.” Gregory rolled his eyes.
“Well, you’re the one who said it’s awful when Evan cries,” Jeremy shot back. “And I’ve already seen how Mike cries, and I don’t want to see that again. No thanks.”
Gregory flinched at that. “I…”
“Not to frighten you, but it can be dangerous.” Jeremy sighed. “There’s only so much you can be safe. Not to quote my mom, but ‘I’d rather you be late than dead.’ It’s just that kind of thing.”
Seeing Gregory’s expression, he softened. “I’m a firm believer in the fact that both of us are going to get lectured by Michael when he finds out. So, when he tries, we’re going to tell him that I already told you all the risks and you still wanted to do it. Unless I’ve changed your mind.”
“No, haven’t changed my mind.” Gregory scooted closer to Jeremy. “I bet I’d survive a crash better than you.”
“No way,” Jeremy laughed. “With the way you’re built? No offense, but you’d be a splatter on the cement.”
“Rude.” Gregory scoffed. Not subtly at all, he tried to steal Jeremy’s Coke from his hand.
Amused, Jeremy let him. Gregory immediately started downing what was left in the can. At that moment, Michael glanced over and gasped. “Gregory! Is that Coke? Are you encouraging this, Jeremy?”
“He took the can out of my hand. I didn’t do anything,” Jeremy smiled cheekily. “Not my fault he’s so fast.”
“Mmmmm,” Gregory squinted skeptically at the can. “This is Coke?”
“Yeah?” Jeremy looked confused. “Why? Does it taste weird to you or something?”
“It’s better than I remember.”
Michael sighed, removing the can from Gregory’s hands. “That is because Coca-Cola has different flavoring in it than you remember.”
“Are you talking about the whole cocaine in Coke thing? Because I thought that was a myth.”
Michael shot Jeremy an exasperated look. “That is not what I am talking about. Anyway, Gregory does not need caffeine in his system at this time of day. He won’t get any sleep at this rate.”
“Whoops?” Jeremy held his hands up in surrender. “Look I-“
“It does not matter.” Michael shot Gregory a meaningful look. “So long as he doesn’t keep Evan up with his extra energy, it should be fine.”
Evan peered at them all from behind the sofa. “How did he even take it from you? I thought you kept a tight grip on those at all times.”
“Caught me by surprise?” Jeremy shifted his weight as Michael gave him a skeptical look. “He’s faster than he looks, I swear.”
Evan snorted, climbing over the back of the sofa, much to Michael’s despair as he said, “Well, that gives him a one-up in physical games I guess.”
“Hey, what’s that supposed to mean? I totally crush at Fazblock!” Gregory crossed his arms. “I had more blocks than you did.”
“Gregory, you’re supposed to get rid of the blocks, not keep them on the screen.” Evan shook his head despairingly. “I would’ve explained the rules if you’d asked-“
“It was different than what I’m used to, okay?” Gregory rolled his eyes. “I could totally beat you at Fazzy Kart.”
“I don’t even know what that is,” Evan replied. “I still think you made it up.”
“Did not.”
“Did too.”
“Did not.”
“Did too!”
“Okay, that is enough.” Michael shook his head, smiling faintly. “Gregory did not make it up. Fazzy Kart just has not come out yet.” He ruffled Evan’s hair before walking away with the empty Coke can. “And I have something for you two to do when I get back!”
“A task?” Gregory asked.
“A task.” Evan snorted. “Ah yes, my brother typically assigns me tasks. No, Gregory. He’s sending us to do chores or something. Usually he’s more mean about it though.”
“No one understands my jokes.” Gregory’s wing twitched irritably.
“Doesn’t matter,” Jeremy replied. “He still laughed, even if he didn’t get it. Be nonsensical! Nobody cares as long as you’re funny.”
“That’s a terrible line of logic. I refuse to believe that people willingly follow your example,” Michael said, returning with a sheet of paper. “Evan, Gregory, I am trusting you two to find everything on this list and bring it back here.”
“We don’t have money,” Gregory said, but he still took the list from Michael’s hands. “And aren’t we supposed to stay inside until we figure out what to do about our wings? And wait, is it safe to-“
“You worry too much, Gregory. We can just ask Uncle Henry for help.” Evan peered at the grocery list. “What are you making, Mikey? This looks like spaghetti sauce, but you don’t use half this stuff normally.”
“Wait and see,” Michael said cryptically. His own wings twitched as he spoke, even seeming a tiny bit ruffled.
“With the overabundance of clothes Henry seems to have, maybe he has jackets you can just throw on over the wings or something,” Jeremy said, slowly rising from the couch as Gregory and Evan stood to examine the list closer.
“We can handle this,” Evan said with full confidence. “And we’ll try to be fast so you can get started sooner.”
“Thank you, Evan.” There was a deeper tone of relief in Michael’s voice at that. “My heroes.”
Jeremy smiled wearily at them all. “I should probably get going.” It felt like intruding to stay this long. Sure, they all tried to include him, but Michael probably had other things he planned to do while Evan and Gregory were gone. Perhaps he needed to talk to his uncle more or something. Regardless, Jeremy had overstayed his welcome.
“I thought you said you could stay for supper.” Michael sounded wounded. “Are you feeling alright? Do you need to lie down?”
He pressed his hand against Jeremy’s forehead. “You don’t seem to have a fever.”
“I’m fine, Michael. I just don’t want to overstay my welcome, you know?” Jeremy ducked away from Michael’s hand and kept his gaze on the carpet. “Especially if you’re all going to be busy.”
“I won’t be busy until they get back,” Michael replied as Gregory tugged on Evan’s shirt to lead him away. “And even then, I won’t be too busy to talk. You can sit with me in the kitchen while I cook.”
“Yeah but…” Jeremy hesitated, combing a hand through his hair. “Look, I just don’t want to be in the way.”
“You won’t be,” Michael insisted. He sat down on the sofa where Gregory had been sitting before. Patting the cushion next to him, he waited for Jeremy to sit back down.
When Jeremy sat down, Michael gestured for him to scoot closer. “What are you doing?” Jeremy asked nervously.
“Your hair is a mess,” Michael replied. “I’m going to fix it for you.”
“What do you mean?” Jeremy frowned, patting his hair self-consciously.
“It’s all tangled. That’s going to be a nightmare to brush out tomorrow if you don’t take care of it tonight.”
“Oh.” Jeremy looked away. “It shouldn’t be your responsibility-“
“My wings shouldn’t have been yours,” Michael countered. “Let me do a nice thing for you. Please.”
“I helped with your wings because I wanted to spend time with you. Not because it was a burden, Mike.”
“This isn’t a burden to me either. Let me help. Maybe I want to spend more time with you too.”
Jeremy didn’t have a counter to that, so he reluctantly sighed. “Just… be gentle on it, okay?”
“Of course.” He blinked, seemingly surprised that Jeremy gave in so easily. “I do need to go grab a brush and a comb.”
“Naturally.” Jeremy shifted uncomfortably on the sofa as Michael got up.
What was he even supposed to say to Michael? He hadn’t expected to get this far, and now faced with the opportunity to have a casual conversation with him, Jeremy panicked.
When Michael got back, the hair brush he carried had long strands of dark brown hair in it, and both the brush and the comb were shining with water. “I hope you don’t mind,” Michael said awkwardly. “But I know that hair gets really, really tangled, so I just wanted to make sure I could get the tangles out without hurting you.”
Oh. That was… surprisingly considerate. “And the water is supposed to fix tangles?”
“Better than a dry brush.”
Jeremy just stared. The most he’d been able to do with his hair was to throw it into the world’s worst ponytail when he needed it out of his face. All this talk of the more effective way to brush through his hair without making it hurt stirred something in his chest. There was nothing Michael would do that could possibly hurt more than the way he was currently doing his hair.
Michael sat back down and got to work. It was strange. Jeremy hadn’t had anyone brush his hair in a long time. His mother had been too busy with work to even notice that he needed help with his hair. Or anything really.
“You have really thick hair,” Michael mused softly.
“Yeah. Makes it a real pain sometimes,” Jeremy replied.
Michael was so gentle with it, apologizing softly when the brush scraped his ear or a snag was too rough. Eventually, though, he set the brush aside and started dividing his hair.
“What are you doing?”
“Helping you with your hair,” Michael replied as he started braiding it. “I assume you don’t have a hair brush for yourself, or maybe you just don’t have much time to do your hair every day. But at the very least, braiding it back at night prevents most tangles from getting worse.”
“How do you know so much about this stuff, dude?” Jeremy wondered. “Like, you know more about this than I do.”
“I…” Michael hesitated. “Evan’s not my only sibling. I had a sister. Elizabeth. Her hair was more of a nightmare than this.”
“Oh.” Jeremy fidgeted. He didn’t know what to do with that information.
“And, there!” Michael twisted a ponytail into the end of Jeremy’s hair. “Less problems for later, see?”
“Yeah.” Jeremy touched a hand to the braid, smiling softly. “Thanks, man.”
“It’s nothing.”
“But I say it is something. Come here, Mike.”
Michael’s wings fluffed up ever so slightly, but he did as Jeremy asked, unprepared for the tackle-hug Jeremy gave him. He gasped in alarm as they ended up on the floor, but when he looked up at Jeremy, it was with what Jeremy could only describe as adoration. Then he was suddenly pressed completely up against Michael as his wings wrapped around them both.
Of course, that was also the moment Evan and Gregory came back from their shopping trip with the supplies Michael had asked for. Letting Jeremy up, Michael immediately accepted the groceries from Evan and went straight to the kitchen. Gregory and Evan were left staring at Jeremy, who was sitting with a ridiculous grin on his face.
“Might need some help preparing this!” Michael called.
Before any of them could move toward the door, however, Henry walked by to go help Michael. Which left Jeremy to get teased by the two younger boys.
“What was that about?” Evan asked, picking a long blue feather out of Jeremy’s hair.
“What were you doing on the floor?” Gregory asked.
“Mike did my hair,” Jeremy replied, gesturing at the hairbrush that now had long strands of gold intertwined with the brown.
Evan looked thoughtful as he fiddled with the feather. “I didn’t know Mikey knew how to do hair.”
“Didn’t you tell me you had a sister?” Gregory asked, picking a smaller, brown feather from Jeremy’s shirt. “He could’ve done her hair once or twice.”
“Maybe…” Evan didn’t sound very sure. “Mikey wasn’t… I don’t know. Maybe he did. I never knew, though.”
“He did mention it when I asked…” Jeremy said, suddenly embarrassed to know more than Evan.
Evan fiddled with the feather more. “He seems to like you a lot.”
“Mike?” Jeremy asked, even more embarrassed now.
“Yeah. He smiles when he talks to you.”
“Except that one day,” Gregory interrupted. “He came inside and cried.”
“That was something else, I think,” Evan responded. “I think the Nightmares finally got to him.”
“So I take it Mike doesn’t usually talk about his issues then?”
“Not usually.” Evan squirmed, his wings puffing up. “Can we talk about something else?”
“Yeah sure,” Jeremy shook his head and finally got off the floor. “Do you want to try playing Kings in the Corner again?”
“Ugh, that’s so boring,” Gregory replied, but Evan was already rushing off to get the cards.
“I need a second. I’ll be right back,” Jeremy said, slipping into the kitchen to grab another can of Coke.
Michael glanced over from where he was cutting an onion and just sighed. “Jeremy-“
“I know, I know. It’s bad for me or whatever. But I need it, okay?” Jeremy took a long swig from the can. “Better than some habits.”
“Still…”
“It’s fine dude. Cut your onion or whatever.”
Henry said something that Jeremy didn’t catch as he rushed back to the living room. “Okay, are we ready to start?”
“This game is stupid,” Gregory grumbled. He was holding his seven cards, and Evan had already laid out the board.
“I dealt, so Gregory goes first,” Evan replied, ignoring Gregory’s comment.
“Lucky,” Jeremy said, eyeing the board.
“I don’t even know how to play,” Gregory complained. “This game is for old people.”
“I guess we’re old then.” Jeremy’s eyes twinkled. “You have to play a card from your hand onto one of those four cards.” He pointed at the two of diamonds, the king of spades, the four of diamonds, and the seven of diamonds respectively. “You want it to be a lower rank, or less points than the card on the stack. And it’s gotta be the opposite color.”
“Oh.” Gregory stared at his hand for a moment.
“You gotta tell him about the kings, Jeremy.” Evan shook his head. “If there’s a king, you can move it into the spaces between the four other cards, and put a new foundation card down.”
“Huh.” Gregory frowned. “This is too confusing.”
“It really isn’t,” Jeremy laughed, taking another sip from his Coke. “If you really want, you can add your cards back to the foundation pile and watch me and Evan play a game.”
“I’m just going to do that.” Gregory stuck his cards back in the bigger stack.
“Suits don’t matter,” Evan said helpfully. “Only color does.”
Jeremy set off to move the king, and the game begun. Evan went out on his first turn.
“Okay, that was a bad example,” Evan said with a grin.
“You didn’t shuffle very well,” Jeremy said accusingly. “That was- arghhh. We’re playing another game so Gregory can actually see how the game works.”
“Are we doing points?” Evan said innocently.
“We will once Gregory joins in,” Jeremy replied, collecting the cards from the board. “These are warm-up rounds.”
“Riiiiight,” Gregory replied with an amused snort. “You just got destroyed.”
“Thank you for the obvious and accurate commentary, Gregory.” Jeremy rolled his eyes.
When he flipped the four cards over, three of them were kings. Jeremy let out an indignant noise as Gregory burst out laughing and Evan grinned at the board. Just like that, he was down to one card. Jeremy scowled at his own cards as it became his turn.
“All four kings on the board in the first turn,” he grumbled.
“Now who’s bad at shuffling?” Evan replied, watching Jeremy’s hand drop to three cards.
“Oh, shut up.”
Evan snickered as it became his turn. “I almost wonder if you were trying to let me win.” He took the ace of diamonds and placed it on the two of clubs that Jeremy had missed during his turn. “Do you have the hang of it yet, Gregory? We may need a third player or this are going to be some very quick games.”
“Ha ha.” Jeremy said as Evan gathered up the cards again. “I’m just used to people who aren’t paying attention nearly as much as you do.”
“I’m just playing the game,” Evan said with a cheeky grin. “You had a six of spades in your hand? You could’ve played that on the seven-“
“I don’t want to hear it!” Jeremy sighed, exaggerating his grief as he drank from his can. “You have eyes like a hawk.”
Evan just hummed at that, his eyes twinkling as he shuffled the cards again. “What do you say, Gregory? Want to try and give it another shot?”
“Sure. Can’t be any worse than Jeremy, right?”
“Alright, I get it.” Jeremy shook his head. “I guess this game isn’t as awful as you want to claim it is, huh?”
“We’ll see.”
Evan pulled out a baggy filled with little red chips and shook it for a moment. “I didn’t have a chance to grab paper, so we can just play with chips, right?”
“Let’s give Gregory one trial run first,” Jeremy said as Gregory stared blankly at the chip bag. “Let him get a feel for the game.”
Gregory’s first round went okay. He managed to play half his cards in the first go, but he failed to notice that he could’ve moved the king to the corner right away, and Jeremy took advantage of that. Humming to himself, Jeremy quickly went through his turn and waited for Evan.
“That is absurd,” Gregory said, watching Evan put down cards and move piles around rapidly. “There’s no way you’re not cheating.”
“It’s all natural, Gregory,” Evan said cheerfully. “You’re just mad because I’m better at games than you are.”
“Grrrrrr….” Gregory scowled as Evan tapped his own card against the table. He put down his one card and waited for Jeremy to go.
Adding another person really did slow down the game a lot, Jeremy thought to himself. This was the first round someone had actually had to draw a card. Evan hummed, but he also needed to draw a card. Unlike Jeremy, however, Evan couldn’t play his. Finally, the game was even again.
Gregory scowled at his cards. “What do I do if I can’t play?”
“Draw,” Jeremy said. “We’ve both done it.”
Grumbling, Gregory drew a card. He brightened as he realized he could play it, and then it was Jeremy’s turn. Jeremy sighed in relief as he was able to play a card on Gregory’s queen, and then move a ten on top of that. Moment of truth, he thought to himself as Evan studied his hand. Michael’s brother shook his head and drew another card. And promptly played it.
Gregory and Jeremy both groaned at that. “See, but now things get interesting,” Evan said cheerfully. “We’ve all been drawing cards and actually have to pay attention to the board.”
“Don’t you always have to pay attention to the board?” Gregory asked as he drew another card. “Ugh.”
“Depends on how close,” Jeremy said smugly, laying down his one card. “I win this round.”
Evan sighed wearily, but he said nothing as Jeremy collected the cards to shove them at Gregory. “Your turn to shuffle.”
Gregory pushed the cards back at Jeremy. “I don’t know how.”
“I guess I can do it for you. But you’re still dealing, alright? Seven cards to each of us.”
Gregory nodded as Jeremy shuffled, and Evan quickly explained how chips worked. Everyone put one chip in at the beginning. Then, when you drew a card, you’d put another chip in. Each card at the end of the game still in your hand was another chip, except for kings. Kings were ten chips.
They all put one chip in the middle as Gregory passed out cards.
“Ready for your first real round, Gregory?” Jeremy asked, looking over his cards.
Gregory huffed, but he nodded anyway. “This is still dumb.”
“What if we made it a bit more fun?” Evan asked. “I’ll put in this feather.” He held up the blue feather he’d picked out of Jeremy’s hair.
“We’re playing for feathers?” Gregory asked. “But we both have feathers.”
“Not just any feathers. Michael’s feathers. I know him better than you do, trust me. He wouldn’t just give those away.”
Gregory considered it for a moment as Jeremy bit his lip. It seemed plenty easy to get feathers in his opinion. Michael shed two of them while Jeremy hugged him before. “Deal. I’ll put in this one.”
Gregory set the brown feather on top of the three chips. Evan did the same with the blue feather. Both of them glanced at Jeremy expectantly.
“I don’t have any. You both took those from me in the first place.” Jeremy rolled his eyes. The feathers were cool, though.
He kind of wished he had some of his own, maybe to braid through his hair or something. But that required winning this game. And since Evan was really good at Kings in the Corner, and also used all the chips in the box, it was really unlikely that he’d win them at the end.
“How about…” Jeremy put twenty more chips in the pot. “I know it doesn’t balance out at all, but you two seem to really want those feathers.”
Evan grinned, and so, the game began.
Gregory surprised them all by nearly going out in his first turn, but Evan still won the first game. They played in relative silence, too busy concentrating to hold a proper conversation. Evan crushed them in the first few rounds, but Gregory eventually got a win when Evan had 6 cards in his hand, resulting in a somewhat decent counter-balance.
It did nothing for Jeremy though. He looked nervously at his dwindling pile of chips every time the game ended and knew it was very unlikely that he’d win. It wasn’t impossible, sure, but it was incredibly unlikely.
“This is eight, Gregory,” Evan said absently, after Jeremy had already played his first turn. “We can play it, but you should pay better attention.”
Jeremy bit his lip at that. He was losing really bad. He really needed a win, and he needed one where the other two were struggling. Accidentally starting a round on eight cards was not a great way to start that.
“How did you even notice that?” Gregory asked.
“Eight feels thicker than seven.”
“How much do you play cards? Jeez,” Jeremy asked as it became Gregory’s turn.
“Enough,” Evan said with an amused smile. “I usually play alone.”
“This doesn’t feel like a game you can play alone,” Gregory muttered.
“You can. It’s just not as fun. But I don’t play this,” Evan said as Jeremy had to draw yet again. “I play Solitare.”
“Right, silly me.” Gregory shook his head. “Dude, how are you losing the game you suggested?”
“It takes a lot of luck, Gregory.” Jeremy sighed, having emptied his can of Coke long ago. “I’ve already accepted my fate. Now it’s just a matter of wondering who wins overall.”
They all fell quiet again as they settled back into their concentration. A few tense rounds went by as they all drew cards. When Evan finally played a card, Jeremy breathed a sigh of relief. Maybe he’d last another round.
Or… maybe not. It was a close thing, that balance between drawing and playing. “Are we going to go through the whole deck?” Gregory eventually wondered.
“Maybe,” Jeremy replied wearily.
The pot was massive at this point. Evan’s brow was continuously furrowed, and even his wings were stiff with concentration. There’s no strategy that trumps the good cards being at the bottom of the deck, Jeremy thought to himself with grim amusement.
“Ha!” Gregory shouted his delight as he finally laid his last card.
Jeremy sighed sorrowfully as he glanced at his four chips. He would only have two left for another game after this. If only it had been Jeremy who’d drawn the card to end the game.
“I don’t even remember who shuffled that one,” Jeremy said as Gregory gathered the pot.
“It was Gregory. He started us with eight cards,” Evan replied. “You shuffle next.”
“I’m not going to make it through this game,” Jeremy muttered.
“Then we’ll just play it out, and you can be done after,” Evan shrugged. “Who knows, maybe you’ll win?”
“For every draw you have that you can’t play, I’ll put in a chip,” Gregory offered as Jeremy put his last chip in the pot. “It’ll keep things fair.”
“I’m sure,” Jeremy muttered.
“Awww, you are a grumpy old man. Evan look! He’s so grumpy.”
Jeremy rolled his eyes. “Thanks.”
Evan put his last card down, and Jeremy shook his head. “I’m out. Good luck, Gregory.”
He wondered what Michael and Henry were up to in the kitchen. It had been two hours of this, after all. Surely preparing a meal wouldn’t take that long, especially since Evan implied Michael was making spaghetti.
“Okay, I gotta know. What spaghetti takes three hours to make?” Jeremy said, sitting down at the kitchen table with Henry.
“It’s not the spaghetti that takes so long,” Michael replied from the stove. “It’s the sauce.”
“But why?”
“The flavor has to soak in from the leaves.” Michael shrugged, moving to sit down with them. “What were you playing in there?”
“Cards.” Jeremy shrugged. “Gregory said it was for old people.”
“Then he must have never played cards before,” Henry commented.
“Maybe it’s his age,” Michael suggested.
“Nah. Your brother got really into it. He’s been beating both of us.”
“THAT’S SO STUPID!!!” Gregory shouted from the other room.
Evan laughed and said something in response, as they all glanced toward the hallway.
“No way,” Gregory said, his voice still projecting from the other room. “That’s so stupid!”
“I think the sauce is about done,” Michael said, rising from his seat again. “I should probably begin on the actual spaghetti.”
“I appreciate you deciding to cook for us, Michael,” Henry said. “And not that I’m complaining about your food, but this seems more complicated than some of the other stuff you’ve made.”
Michael just blinked at him, filling a pot with water. “It’s just spaghetti.”
Gregory and Evan walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table. “It smells great in here,” Evan said.
Michael glanced at his brother and at Gregory for a moment. “Who won?”
“Evan,” Gregory grumbled crossing his arms. “But he cheats.”
“I do not! Withholding cards on my turn is within the rules of the game. Just because it means you have to draw more doesn’t mean it’s cheating!” Evan argued.
“He’s right, Gregory. If he’s withholding cards, it’s still a risk to him since you can easily draw a card at any moment and win the game yourself. There’s a reason it’s ten chips if you’re holding a king at the end of the game.”
“Hmph,” Gregory scowled.
“Jeremy, do you need a new bandage for your face?” Henry asked as Gregory and Evan glared at each other from across the table.
“What? Oh, I’m sure it’s fine.” Jeremy hadn’t realized that the edge of his bandage was peeling off.
“We’ll get that taken care of later,” Henry said. “Were you planning on staying over tonight?”
“I…” Jeremy glanced around the room. “I don’t know.”
“If you decide to stay, let me know so I can tell your parents,” Henry replied, seemingly satisfied. “And would you like another can of Coca-Cola?”
“Yes please.”
“Don’t encourage his addiction, Henry.” Michael crossed his arms as he leaned against the counter.
Jeremy responded by sticking his tongue out at Michael. Michael shook his head and rolled his eyes, but Jeremy saw a faint smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
“Can I have one too?” Gregory asked.
“Absolutely not,” Michael replied. His wings twitched slightly. “You’re done with caffeine for the rest of the night. If you’re this loud after half a can, I shudder to think of what would happen if you got a full can of Coke.”
“You’re not my mom,” Gregory grumbled.
Jeremy’s mouth twitched. “He tries to act like it though, doesn’t he?”
Michael made an indignant noise as Gregory burst out laughing. Evan giggled too, adding, “Mama bird Mike.”
All three of them broke into bad laughing fits at that one. Henry and Michael just exchanged an exasperated look as Michael stirred the spaghetti. “I can act like it if you really want me to,” Michael eventually said. “But I don’t think you’d like the response, seeing as you two are baby birds in this analogy.”
“What do you mean?” Gregory asked, bewildered.
“I think what he’s getting at,” Jeremy said, amusement glinting in his eye, “is that mother birds regurgitate food into their chicks mouths.”
“Ewwwww,” Gregory gagged.
Evan snorted. “Mikey wouldn’t do that.”
“Wouldn’t I?” Michael raised an eyebrow. “I’ve certainly done worse.”
Evan froze at that. He seemed to be considering Michael’s point. “He totally would…” Evan sounded horrified.
“And with that terrible mental image, it seems that the spaghetti is done!” Henry said, putting a can of Coke in front of Jeremy before going to fetch everyone plates.
“I just need to strain the noodles, and we’re all set,” Michael said. “Could you grab the strainer please?”
Henry nodded and retrieved the strainer. Evan hummed to himself as he fiddled with the two feathers he’d won in the card game. Gregory said nothing, but Jeremy could tell it he was still bitter from his loss. Surely Michael wouldn’t be unwilling to give up feathers if they asked, Jeremy thought to himself. Maybe he’d be uncomfortable with the idea, but if Gregory said how much he really wanted them, Jeremy was sure Michael would give in eventually.
“It’s going to be hot.” Michael warned, carrying the pot of spaghetti to the table.
Henry quickly placed a potholder beneath it, and Michael went back to retrieve the sauce for the spaghetti. “Do you want to get cups out, Evan?”
Evan nodded and got up from his spot. “Gregory, you can get the plates.”
The whole group cycled around the kitchen like a little family, and Jeremy felt a little self-conscious about his place in everything, so he went and grabbed forks for everyone. It was the least he could do.
Michael dished out the food, putting just enough sauce on their spaghetti that they could avoid it if they wanted to. All of them were a little skeptical of the meal, but they all trusted that Michael knew what he was doing. Gregory and Evan both seemed startled by the taste, but Henry simply raised an eyebrow as he took a bite. Michael didn’t seem particularly concerned about their reaction, though.
He was too busy observing Jeremy when he tried it.
It was… spicier than he expected. Jeremy glanced at Michael, suddenly suspicious of him. Michael blinked at him, casually taking a bite of his own spaghetti. Jeremy glanced at him again before moving his plate to the saucepan full of spaghetti sauce and adding more to his plate.
Michael’s slow smile made Jeremy feel even more confident about his decision. Somehow, Michael had figured him out yet again, almost without effort. Jeremy stuck another forkful in his mouth and smiled back at him.
“Gregory, slow down. You’re going to make yourself sick,” Evan said.
“It’f, fine.” Gregory swallowed hard.
“Careful you don’t choke,” Henry said warningly.
Gregory set his fork down quietly, his eyes watering. He coughed a little bit, causing Michael to turn to him with concern. “Gregory? Are you alright?”
Gregory fanned himself, and Jeremy immediately figured out what was going on. “Too spicy for you? You barely had any!” He shook his head and poured Gregory a glass of milk. “Drink this. It’ll help.”
Gregory eagerly took the glass, draining it in less than a minute. “Mmmmm.”
The rest of the meal went in relative silence, with Evan and Henry occasionally teasing Gregory for eating too fast and being unable to handle spicy food. Michael seemed oblivious to the main conversation, smiling softly to himself.
Jeremy knew he was staring, but he figured it wouldn’t be the biggest deal. Plenty of people stared at their friends, right? At the way they twisted spaghetti noodles onto their forks and brought their forks to their mouths. At the way their eyes glowed with joy at making something new successfully.
Michael caught his eye, and the smile widened. Jeremy felt himself smiling back easily. He’d already finished his food, and Evan and Gregory had finished half the spaghetti by themselves. There wouldn’t be many leftovers anyway.
Henry was the first to move from the table. He collected plates from everyone to take to the sink. When Michael moved to help, Henry waved him off, insisting that since Michael made the meal, he shouldn’t have to clean it up, with a meaningful look toward Evan and Gregory. He stopped Jeremy when he tried to get up too, insisting that guests shouldn’t need to help.
“But I thought we were guests,” Gregory grumbled when Evan tapped his arm to help him get up.
“Jeremy, that bandage really does need to be changed before you go,” Henry said quietly, gathering the leftovers into different containers.
“I can help him with it,” Michael said.
“Michael, you’ve done enough today. Especially with how you were feeling this morning-“
“I can help,” Michael interjected stubbornly.
Jeremy raised a confused eyebrow at the way Michael’s wings and hair ruffled.
“You need rest,” Henry said in a tone that brokered no argument.
Still, Michael persisted, the feathers now completely refusing to lay flat. Jeremy wondered how this could possibly be something he’d need to be so defensive about. “Hey, maybe Henry’s right. You have done a lot today.”
Michael scowled at that, and he grabbed Jeremy’s arm and practically dragged him out of his chair.
“What- Hey!” Jeremy stumbled into Micheal, expecting him to apologize or something.
“There’s the old Mike,” Evan mumbled quietly.
Michael’s face was right in front of Jeremy’s as he spoke. “I know my limits.”
“Do you?” Gregory challenged. He didn’t seem frightened in the slightest, which was very different from the atmosphere surrounding Michael at that moment. “To me it seems like you keep going until you drop. Maybe you should just get rid of that chip on your shoulder and let someone else handle it for once!”
“Like you did?” Michael snapped, and at that, Gregory actually flinched. “Sometimes, you can’t trust that help will come, Gregory. You should know that better than anyone.”
Gregory’s grip on the plate in his hands tightened. “Yeah, well, I didn’t have a family who took care of me like you do! So just suck it up.” Jeremy heard tears behind those words, and Evan mumbled something gently to him and tried to get him to turn his back on Michael.
That seemed to break something in Michael’s resilience. His wings twitched, and he let go of Jeremy’s shirt. “Right. Sorry.” He sounded just as torn as Gregory. “I…”
Jeremy figured nothing would be helped by Michael sticking around in the kitchen, so he tentatively put a hand to Michael’s shoulder. “Hey, you can help with my bandage. Maybe just tell me how to put it on so I do it right tomorrow morning, yeah?”
“So you aren’t staying then?” Henry asked, looking worriedly between the four boys.
Michael’s ashen expression was not particularly reassuring. “No, I mean. If it’s okay for me to stay, I plan to. I just… Maybe it should be my responsibility to fix that?” Jeremy gestured at the scratch on his face. “Seems like all I’m doing here is making more messes anyway. Might as well try to clean one up myself, right?”
Henry frowned but he said nothing.
Jeremy leaned close to Michael’s ear. “Come on then.”
“I didn’t mean to… I hurt his feelings,” Michael mumbled as he mechanically peeled the rest of the bandage away from Jeremy’s face to wipe at the scratch with a wet cloth.
“Energy was running high. Maybe you are a bit more overwhelmed then you thought? Frayed nerves break way for anger sometimes. Or so I’ve heard.”
“I still shouldn’t have done that.” Michael couldn’t even look Jeremy in the eye. He was too distraught.
“Why did you get so defensive, if you don’t mind me asking? And I’m not just talking about Gregory. You were adamant about helping me with my bandage.”
“I just…” Michael hesitated. “I haven’t had a chance to see you in days, and I wanted to get every moment I could?”
“An afternoon together wasn’t enough?” Jeremy teased, even though he knew exactly how Michael was feeling. “Look, that’s okay, Mike. But you gotta take care of yourself too.”
“Yeah, but-“
“What do you want? I know you think you have to help everybody all the time, but you’ve gotta have desires too, right?”
“Maybe I don’t deserve to have my desires realized,” Michael replied. He still wasn’t looking at Jeremy. “Maybe I’m just a rotten person who doesn’t deserve joy or anything that doesn’t directly benefit anybody else.”
“Michael Afton.” Jeremy said, trying to sound stern. “You are a human being just like everyone else. We all make mistakes. And you sound like you’re trying to atone for yours. I don’t know about you, but someone who tries to learn from their mistakes sounds like someone who deserves to have what they want every now and again.”
Michael completely froze at that. When he met Jeremy’s eyes, he looked utterly shattered. “I…” He swallowed. “I can’t do this anymore.”
“That’s okay, Mike. No one is asking you to do everything-“
“No, you don’t understand.” His voice was hardly a whisper. “I’ve… That scolding… You’ve said that to me before.”
“I have?”
Michael nodded mutely. “It was right before…” His wings stretched their full length as Michael squeezed his eyes shut. “I can’t.”
“What can’t you do, Michael?” Jeremy asked softly.
A pained noise rumbled in Michael’s throat, and he dropped the cloth, yanking Jeremy forward by his shirt. Their mouths crashed together, and all Jeremy could think was finally. His own hands went behind Michael’s shoulders, and he gently guided the wings back into a folded position before stroking them gently.
He didn’t want to stop kissing Michael. It was freeing and exhilarating at the same time. Michael tasted like bubble gum and smelled like clean laundry. He was the weirdest man Jeremy had ever met, but maybe that was what made him so alluring. Or maybe it was something else. Something about all this just seemed so… right.
When Michael broke away, Jeremy tried to follow. Michael looked at him fondly and laughed. “I thought you said I needed to take care of myself.”
“I can’t be that addicting,” Jeremy said impulsively.
Michael snorted. “I need air, Jeremy. We were both going to pass out if we kept that up.”
“Can we do it again?” Jeremy didn’t care about air. He just wanted to be close to Michael, wanted to make him smile, wanted to make him laugh.
Michael laughed again, a brilliant sound, before Jeremy pressed their lips back together. It was completely perfect.

MR. CREEPY
Heeseung x 8thmember!oc
Synopsis : Heeseung being protective of Sooyoung.
wc : 1k
When Enhypen debuted both Roza and Sooyoung were seventeen. Because of this there were many older male idols who tried to flirt with them. Almost too many. Heeseung is super protective of both girls, and this showed when Heeseung and Sooyoung were walking around backstage at an award show. “Ooh, there's a vending machine! It's got my favorite snacks!” Heeseung immediately went to reach for his wallet to buy some snacks for her. “Damm, I forgot my wallet. I'll quickly grab it.” “Are you sure?” “yeah, I'll be one sec.” Sooyoung nodded as Heeseung quickly went to get his wallet.
Sooyoung stood next to the vending machine on her phone when a senior male idol walked up wanting to get some food himself. Sooyoung bowed and moved out of the way as she shyly avoided eye contact. “You're from Enhypen right?” Sooyoung nodded, a little surprised a senior idol knew who she was. “Yes, I am.” “I'm a big fan. You're very pretty.” “Thank you! I'm a big fan of yours too!” She noticed his smirk before he moved in closer. “Am I your favorite member?” “Oh yea, definitely!” she lied suddenly feeling a little uncomfortable. He moved even closer, watching her.
“My fans are always so pretty… but I think you're the prettiest.” She flinched as he reached out, tucking her hair behind her ear. “Oh thank you…” She never felt so uncomfortable, her skin crawling. “Want anything to eat. I'll get it for you, my treat.” Sooyoung stood there silent, mind running a million miles a minute. Where was Heeseung when you needed him? “No it's okay i was just about to leave…” He grabbed her arm so she couldn't walk away. “Are you sure? I'll get you anything, no matter how much it costs.” Trying to pull her arm away. “Nope it's okay i got it.”
“Ive got it from here…” The male idol turned around to see Heeseung jogging over to stand next to Sooyoung, pulling her wrist out of his grip. His eyes staring daggers into him, over hearing his pushy comments and pissed he even thought of touching her. “Best if you leave us” Heeseung’s tall figure standing over his own. Sooyoung hid behind Heeseung. “Fine… I'll just go then.” He hesitantly stepped back and they both watched as he walked back to his dressing room. “Did he do anything to you?” “no, he just grabbed me… I don't know.” “can't leave you or Roza anywhere without the creepy guys coming out to play.” “It's okay, we have you guys to scare them away.” They both walked back to their dressing room after getting snacks.
As they sat back down, Roza noticed Sooyoung's quiet state. “Hey, you okay?” “just some creep…” “omg, who?” “you know the senior male group here…” “yeah…” “it's their leader.” Sooyoung watched as Roza’s eyes twitched. “I know him, he's constantly hitting on any female idol he can get his hands on.” Heeseung joined the girls. “Weird how it always seems to be minors. Crazy at his age, he's in his mid 30’s.” Anger clearly comes with his words. “They think they're being sweet, but it's just plain creepy.” Roza agreed.
“He even grabbed her wrist. I remember when he tried hitting on Roza only two months ago… like move on buddy, we don't like you!” Heeseung said as both girls giggled at his outburst. “Calm down, it's okay Oppa.” “I know, but it's just creepy. Makes my skin crawl.” “Luckily we have each other.” Roza wrapping an arm Sooyoung as she spoke. “True, without you I would have gone mad.” Roza jokes.
It was now the end of the award show and all the idols were standing on the stage saying goodbye to the fans who came. Sooyoung was walking behind the members, taking her time to say goodbye to as many fans as she could. That's when Mr. Creepy came back to make more advances. “Hey cutie…” She turned around surprised to see him again. “Oh, hello” she bowed to show respect, especially with thousands of fans and camera’s watching them. “Sad i didn't get to talk more to you earlier… Maybe I could get your number?” Once again Sooyoung was left shocked at his very forward attempts in such a public place.
“Come on, don't I deserve it after you little member rudely interrupted us?” Sooyoung held back a laugh at the mention of 6’ foot Heeseung being ‘little’. Especially after Heeseung also towered over Mr. Creepy. “Oh ummm… I'm not allowed to give my phone number. Company policy, ya know?” She tried to walk away, seeing him follow her from her peripheral. Just glad he wasn't trying to grab her this time.
“Oh look who's coming over…” He sighed as he saw Heeseung making his way towards the pair, relief washing over Sooyoung. Heeseung grabbed Sooyoung's hand and attempted to pull her away. “Little rude to interrupt and not say sorry!” Heeseung stopped in his tracks, keeping in mind they are in the view of so many eyes. Turning back around and walking up to the idol before leaning in close and whispering in Mr. Creepy's ear. “Fuck off…” Eyes looking up to make sure he got his point across.
Sooyoung not hearing what Heeseung said just watched as Mr. Creepy's face contorts into annoyance, clearly not happy with whatever Heeseung had said. Heeseung again grabbed her hand, joining the other members. “What did you say to him?” “told him to fuck off… over him trying to make advances on you and Roza.” More anger clearly running through his veins. “Heeseung, you could get in trouble. He's a senior idol…” “yeah, a senior idol almost twice your age. Don't get me started on how he thought it was okay to grab you earlier.” “I'm sorry, I didn't want you to have to do that..”
She felt sorry, she could tell Heeseung’s mood had been ruined. “Don't be sorry for his behavior… plus I would rather do that than let a grown man pray on a minor.” His smile made its way back to his face. “You're my little sister and I refuse to let anyone do anything to you.” She smiled, thanking him again as they continued to walk around the stage. “You're the best.”

When Cairo was home she was lying in her her empty bathtub full of pillows standing a few meters away from her bed.
She watched a spider crawling on the ceiling and couldn’t stop thinking about your lips. Everytime she closed her eyes she sighed and felt her own lips tingling. Reminding her self how soft and good your lips felt while you were sharing the rest of the smoke and tasting each other’s mouth. She touched her neck, still feeling your firm grip around it. Oh how bad she wanted to be caressed by you, kissed by you on places she was feeling the need of being touched. She wanted to feel your lips on her chest… no. If she would be honest with herself, she wanted to feel your lips down there. She could feel her clit throbbing and pulse while she started to think about it with her eyes still closed.
She was lying in the bathtub only wearing her oversized shirt. She began to caress her tight with her fingertips. Feeling a tingle coming from her clit. Her slip getting soaked already when she imagined your lips tracing kisses down her inner tights before you would kiss her cunt deeply. The way you would probably tease her with your tongue while doing a slow and long lick through her pussy. She began to breath heavy, considering if she should touch herself or not. Craving for you to touch her and please her. But you weren’t here… and she couldn’t help herself anymore and needed to release some of the tension that was build up over the last two days and the short moment between you two in the woods.
So she took a deep breath and leaned her head back before slipping her hand into her slip. She was surprised by her own wetness. She usually never masturbated. Sure she touched her self once… out of curiosity and to help her writing about the ‚experience‘. But never did she felt the urge before to mover her fingers into her throbbing cunt because she felt the need to. The urge to. And that because of you. A classmate. A girl named y/n. She felt slightly hurt in her honour If she could say it like that. She was to pride to admit such things.
But here she was. Circling her one finger around her clit while thinking it would have been you. You lying on top of her. She wanted to feel your bodyweight on hers. Oh how bad she wanted you and couldn’t have you. She thought frustrated while she started to lose control, so she just went for it. She pushed her finger into the soaked cunt, she gasped. Feeling her hips bucking up out of Intension. She was shocked about the fact how tight she was. That was your fault. And that made her breath heavier. She felt mad. Mad because you did this to her and didn’t seemed to care about it. It should have been your finger instead of her own. Moving in till she met her knuckles. It felt like it wasn’t enough. She wasn’t sure if she could feel the pleasure of a orgasm by herself. The anger began to rise inside of her. She was breathing loud now while moving her finger slightly faster in and out. But it wasn’t enough. She didn’t felt satisfied at all. She stopped moving abrupt. She opened her eyes. She wanted to see your face… wanted to look into your eyes. Instead she saw the dark wooden ceiling. The spider she saw before was now gone.
She pulled her finger out and sat up. Her chest rising and her heart pushing hard against her chest. It was like her heart was screaming and trying to escape the jail made of bones, flesh, blood and skin.
She was holding herself up on the edge of the bathtub. Her gaze fell towards her hand she had been using, only to see the spider crawling along the edge. She was deep in thoughts when suddenly the ring of the doorbell was getting her out of it. She got up fast and cleaned her self before going down all the way through the mansion to open the door for…
“Winnie?” She said surprised. Her friend grinning wide while popping the lollipop she was licking on. Her long brown waved hair falling all over her shoulders. Cairo sighed loud and looked cold at Winnie saying “Can you help me?” Cairo asked, her hunger for y/n making her impatient now. “I… really need you to help me right now…” Cairo said with a little desperation in her voice now. She wasn’t going to tell that she, well… some sort of tried or, no she indeed was masturbating but without the luck of being pleased by that. She didn’t wanted to tell Winnie. She would probably laugh at her or even worse… would see what kind of a weak mess Cairo was. Because of you.
“Why? What Happened? Oh! And how were things with Y/n?” Asked Winnie wit a dirty grin and entered Cairos mansion.
“Terrible.” Cairo whispered, having lost all her patience now and feeling her hunger for you growing. “I want to see her again but I don’t know how to make her come back to me.” Cairo said in a little desperation now. “Please… I don’t know what to do. I have this feeling. I can’t tell if it’s love or just pure lust. I just want her to come back to me.” Cairo said, now with a little bit of panic in her voice. “I really need you to help me now, Winnie.”
There was something in Cairos eyes that made feel Winnie slightly scared. Wich only told her that her best friend was being dead serious. “Damn… what happened?” She asked attentive while following her upstairs to her bedroom. “She just left me now!” Cairo said. “She said I said the wrong thing and then she just left.” Cairo said, her hunger for you becoming really hard to control now. “I really don’t know what to do.” Cairo said with a little anger at y/n inside her and desperation in her voice. “Does she know how hungry I am for her?” Cairo asked now in a very low, hungry and desperate voice. “I want to be with her right now. Please, Winnie. I need her.”
Winnie sat down pretty speechless on the edge of Cairos bed and watched her. This was a whole different Cairo she was used to “please from the begging… I don’t understand what you’re talking about” she said in a calm tone since Cairo was pretty loaded.
Cairo sighed a little and told Winnie her whole story, even going into details such as her crush on you and the cigarettes of course. And she told Winnie how she wanted you so badly and couldn’t do anything about it anymore. “I’m so hungry for her.” Cairo said with a trembling voice now. “Winnie, please. Is there any way to get her back?” Cairo asked, feeling scared right now. “I really don’t want her to leave me like this.”
Winnie looked speechless at Cairo
“Fuck y/n really knows what shes doing… and your stupid ass said seriously ‘But I need those cigarettes’? Girl you better say the right thing next time. Do you even understand the hints she was giving you?” Said Winnie and made a bit of fun of Cairo before glaring at her for being so stupid.
“I… I don’t know. I… I just wanted to say something so she didn’t find me easy. That’s why I talked about the cigarettes.” Cairo said while looking a little ashamed on her face. Did you hate her now? Was y/n angry with her? Cairo wished she could have just said the right thing. But she was so hungry over you at this point that she felt like she couldn’t think straight anymore.
Winnie looked at her with a tilted head
“The cigarettes gave you what you wanted… that was y/n…. But she also tried to use them to get you girl! When she said you need a diffrent addiction she was talking about herself!” She sighed dramatically and shook her head
So many hints. So many signs and Cairo was messing it up pretty good. Cairo felt her heart skipping a beat with everything Winnie was saying right now. Was she really that stupid? She couldn’t believe how she missed this. But yet, she was so surprised that she could have missed y/n intentions behind those words. “Wait… so y/n likes me back?” Cairo asked now in a very excited way. “Please tell me it’s true… please. Cause I defiantly have a crush on her and didn’t dared to do anything.”
“She’s flirting so hard with you girl… crush or smash, I don’t know but she wants you. And you better act right the next time! Screw those fucking cigarettes said Winnie while she was the one who made Cairo even a smoker. “So She’s indeed flirting with me??” Cairo asked, her body feeling so excited and her mind feeling so confused right now. But that made this hunger she felt inside her for y/n grow so much more. Cairo knew she wanted y/n now, she knew she had to fight back her desires and take you right now with a clear mind. But how could she achieve that if she couldn’t really tell what you wanted right now? “But what do you mean with “Act right”? Y/n knows I like cigarettes for sure…”Cairo said, her mind now going crazy over wanting you so badly.
“Next time you’ll understand. And you better get laid by that hot girl with her scars on the back… I want some dirty tea next time” Winnie said serious. “I will…” Cairo whispered, feeling her body become more excited now. She felt so stupid that she had missed those hints you gave her. All this time she was so confused and overwhelmed because there was way too much tension. “I’m gonna have to use everything to get her next time.” Cairo said with a teasing smile now. “I’m gonna get my sweet dirty tea next time Winnie.”
The next day it was raining pretty heavy, there was also a thunder making the earth tremble. Hot summer thunderstorms. She loved it. The rain was heavy and loud. Watched it from the canopy she was standing under, at the back of the school. Leaned on the building, watching steam rising from the concrete. Showing how hot it was and how the nature tried to cool down itself. She was taking a deep hint on her cigarette, like always she was the first one at the schools land. She watched some teachers parking their cars before disappearing in the building. Her body began to relax. Her mind felt lighter than the last few hours.
But the more she thought about calming down she felt her anxiety grow more and more now, especially due to the rain and thunder. The idea that you could find her anytime was scary, but also so desirable at the same time. “I really want my sweet y/n.” Cairo whispered, her body not able to hold it anymore now. As she smoked her cigarette, she was able to feel her anxiety calm down a little, however, it now became a different kind of anxiety. What if you saw her again? What if y/n thought she was stupid and hated her now for what she said?
“I love rain…” Cairo almost twitched when she recognized you in the corner of her eyes. “I rather enjoy it from home…” you added without looking at her, instead you watched the rain. Cairo’s heart skipped a beat. “Y/n…” Cairo whispered while her eyes grew wide, her body becoming so excited that you still cared about her somehow. She wasn’t angry at you, that’s what all this fear inside her had caused her to think. But now this was all gone, and she didn’t want to waste a single second to have you with her right now. “Y/n…” Cairo said calmly now, taking a deep breath and closing her eyes while trying to collect herself now. “I need you y/n.” Cairo whispered, her body growing so hungry for you.
A smile appeared on your lips, you leaned on the wall right beside her and watched her fingers, eyes fixated on the cigarette between her fingers. Cairo looked down at her cigarette with a little smile on her face now as she looked at you. She let the cigarette fall down now and stomped on it with her foot to turn it off. She wanted to kiss y/n so badly right now, but she also felt like it might be a little too intense now. It was still early in the morning and Cairo wanted to show you a different side of her first. But that didn’t stop the hunger from growing inside her right now of course which she couldn’t hide.
“And..?” You whispered looking at the destroyed cigarette under Cairos foot. “And….” Cairo whispered, not wanting to say it just yet. It was too early for this, at least that was what she tried telling herself now. But you were looking at her with such desire and lust in the eyes, which made it almost impossible for her to say no. Suddenly she took your hand and looked at you with the deepest desire she had ever felt even. “I want you. So badly. Right now.” Cairo whispered, her body feeling so craving for you now.
“Good answer” you whispered low and pushed her quickly against the wall before kissing her hard. Feeling goosebumps all over your body. While your body couldn’t decide if it felt hot or cold now. Cairo felt her body turn so hot with just a single touch of your lips on hers, it was insane. It almost felt like her whole heart was burning inside her. All other feelings disappeared right now and she wanted you more than anything. “I need you y/n. I need this.” Cairo whispered in the middle of the kiss and pulled you closer to her, wanting to feel your body against her body as much as possible now.
“Come with me” you whispered heavy against her lips and took Cairos hand while walking towards your car. It was Parked near the woods. Following you to your car, her heart pounded hard now. She couldn’t believe that she was finally gonna taste you, to feel your lips and your body. Cairo could barely contain her emotions from just feeling your fingers on hers. “I… am just so hungry for you.” Cairo whispered in your ear now, her voice low and quiet as her eyes looked into y/n. “Can we go somewhere private y/n? Can I finally see you in a place where nobody will notice?” Cairo asked with a teasing tone while also being so incredibly excited right now.
You both were getting soaked by the rain while running towards y/n car. You couldn’t help but smile a bit cheeky when she said she was hungry for you… and the fact that she wanted to be alone with you now? You felt your heart racing like crazy. You couldn’t believe that you were having all those crazy moments with Cairo Sweet. And what was about to come would be unforgettable.
You opened the passenger door for Cairo so she could sit down in your car. The rain felt so good on your body. Even tho you were already completely wet, it cooled down your body and made the moment feel so much more intense. When you sat down in the car and looked at her you recognized that the windows of your car had been already completely steamed by the hot air.
“My place or yours?” You asked with a soft tone. Looking at her with admiration. You couldn’t enjoy her beauty after swimming class a two days ago. So you took your time. Watching the raindrops falling from her wet hair, sliding down along her beautiful face. That sharp jaw you wanted to place soft kisses on. Her long lashes making her dark eyes almost look like they were black. Your mind was drifting off, getting lost in her beauty. “Y-your place?” Cairo whispered with her voice shaking, her heart beating so fast right now. Her body felt so hot from just seeing you. She wanted you to touch her so badly. But she felt so nervous now that she was about to see you in a private place. “I… I can’t really have anyone come home right now.” Cairo said while blushing a little, her body feeling so hot right now. But she couldn’t wait anymore. “let’s go to your place.” Cairo whispered seductively.
You nodded and turned on the car to drive back home. You were starting to feel nervous for like the really first time now. You can’t remeber feeling like that for a long time. After the accident and your new way of living you stopped caring about many things. You became numb to a few things which made it easier for you to have fun and worry less. But Cairo Sweet. Let’s say you didn’t though that bold move of you back then, who was supposed to just caught her of guard and make her realize that you wouldn’t allow her or anyone else to be mean to you… yeah… that changed a few things. Before the accident you always thought she was beautiful and somehow cute but she used to scare you also. But that one interaction? The kiss that was coming from you… just to make a statement? You couldn’t stop thinking about it. You couldn’t ignore what you felt deep down. You couldn’t ignore that you enjoyed the teasing and flirting you both had. You couldn’t ignore the fact that you liked being around her. After a 15 minute drive that was quiet and slightly awkward, you made it to your home. You parked in the Garage, getting out of the car and opened the door for Cairo.
“My dad is working till 3 pm so we have the whole day for us…” you said quite shy now while taking Cairos hand and leading her through the small house you lived in. It was initiated pretty modern but also cozy, but you were sure it couldn’t be compared to the big mansion Cairo lived in. You walked slowly upstairs with her, walking past family photos that were hanging on the wall.
Soon you reached the second floor and opened the door to your bedroom, hearing a strong thunder outside, followed by a lightning. What a dramatic entrance you thought nervous. You let go of Cairos hand and let her check out your bedroom while closing the door behind you. Your bedroom was cold. Thank god Cairo thought cause the heat wave outside was getting dangerous. The blinds were down while your window was opened. The thunderstorm started to create a cold breeze wich was floating through your bedroom now. Making both of you feel somehow relieved. You turned on the small lamp on your drawer since the dark clouds outside made it pretty dark in here.
Cairo couldn't wait right now. There was nothing she wanted more in her whole life than to have you right now. Being with you alone in that cozy bedroom made her anxiety grew more and more right now. What if your Dad would came home suddenly? But that didn't matter. She trusted your words and got lost in the details in your bedroom. It was pretty clean and basic. Only two Posters of your favorite movies were on the wall, framed. Another frame with many Polaroids of you and your family? Friends? She felt somehow safe and comfortable in your bedroom. Sure you didn’t lived in a mansion like her. Her bathroom alone had the size of your bedroom. But it was enough. For people with a well amount of money it was a big bedroom. She couldn’t help and look at the Polaroids, you had a few with your mother, she assumed. Your mother that died, in a car crash you barely survived and took scars from it as Cairo remembered. She felt somehow different now. She couldn’t quite explain it.
“I… kinda have a thing for Polaroids” you said in such a soft and kind tone that Cairo could feel that you were smiling without even looking at you. Cairo moved her head to the side. Y/n standing beside her and looking at the frame full of Polaroids. “It’s like holding memories in your han-“ you both stoped mid sentence. Looking at each other and smiling shyly.
“Exactly” you whispered and looked at Cairo with admiration. You swallowed hard before moving your hand up to her face, you hesitated, feeling nervous, but you kept going and moved a wet hair strand out of her face, before fixing her bags so gently, you barely touched her. There was a smile on Cairos lips you haven’t seen before. It wasn’t lust… it wasn’t desire. It was something diffrent. Something way more intimate than you could ever imagined.
You caressed her cheek with your fingertips. Seeing the reflection of the dimmed light from your lamp in her eyes. Both of you were soaked. Even tho the water cooled you both down… you wanted to get rid of them. You slowly moved your fingertips down her neck, towards her collarbone before helping her to take of her black sweatshirt. Now her upper body was exposed and you could see her beautiful light skin, wich only emphasized the black laced bra she was wearing.
Your eyes were watching every inch of Cairo Sweets beautiful body. Cairo felt so happy, you were taking care of her so slowly and gently. Her stomach was jumping as you started to take off her sweatshirt. She felt so incredibly hungry for you right now and so close to you like never before. Carefully you touched her stomach. Your hand moving slowly in a sensual way around her waist. Feeling how cooled down her skin was because of the rain. You pulled her closer and felt her nose brushing yours while you kept looking down.
“Is this okay my dear?” You whispered and moved your hand a bit lower. Your finger moving under the band of her shorts. Cairo nodded, making your noses brush again while whispering “yes”. The next moment Cairos shorts fell to the ground, her hands made her way towards your hips. She moved her hands under your white shirt, taking it off while you tried to get rid of your hot pants. The moment you both were only standing in front of each other in underwear you leaned in and placed your lips softly on her neck. Your hands resting on her hips. Holding her firm.
"Please y/n... I need you." Cairo whispered now, as her body was craving you like nothing else now. Her body was so hungry for you. Cairo's stomach was jumping inside her now. She couldn't wait. Every time you kissed Cairo's neck, or even just touched her now, Cairo started to feel her blood boil even more. It started to get hot in your room now. The thunder was still growling while a slight breeze flew by through your opened window. This was beyond her imagination. It didn’t quite felt like lust and desire anymore. It felt diffrent, somehow way more intimate that she could ever imagined or write down. She just wanted you to do whatever you wanted with her right now. She wanted to get lost in you.
In a wave of passion that flood through your body you picked her up. Holding tight on her tights wich made Cairo wrap her legs around your hips. Since she was almost a head smaller then you it was pretty easy to hold her like that. You breathed heavy against her neck before laying her down in your bed. Your lips meeting hers immediately. You never though that being close to someone like that would make you feels so good in so many ways. Your arms were resting beside her shoulders while you held yourself up, above her body. Kissing her with heavy breaths. Feeling the sensation of her soft wet lips touching yours again and again.
Cairo Sweet was indeed sweet, a drug you came addicted to, the first time your lips met hers.
She couldn't believe this. She's never felt this way before. She laid down on your bed with a soft sigh as you kissed her deeply like this. Cairo was so eager now, her hunger for you was bigger than anything else. You could do anything you wanted with Cairo now, and she definitely wanted you to make her feel everything she's ever needed in her life right now. She didn’t had to write about it anymore or dream about it… trying to please her self while her thoughts were by you. She had you now. You were right here and gave her what she needed… what she was carving for since the first time your lips met hers.
She began to feel the weight of your body on top of hers. One of your hands moving around her neck while kissing her so slow and sensual it made loose Cairo her mind.
Your mouth opened and she felt your hot breath against her lips while you made your lips brush hers. You were asking for her permission and she gave you that by opening her mouth. You kissed her passionately. Your tongue exploring her mouth. Cairo moaned slightly and reflected your movements.
Cairo felt her body grow more and more excited with every touch from you now. Cairo was so ready for y/n now. She wanted you to take her in anyway you wanted right now. She didn't mind letting you decide how her body should be explored as you had always seemed so confident and so beautiful even before this. "Please y/n... take me. I am so ready for you. Take me however you want me right now." Cairo begged, her eyes full of desire for you at this point. Her clit was throbbing so hard at this point. She couldn’t even compare it to the way she felt yesterday in her bedroom.
“Is this your first time?” You whispered after breaking the kiss and looking into her eyes.
Cairo began to feel nervous at this point but she decided to be honest "Yes y/n" she whispered softly with her eyes locked with yours. "I've never had anyone touch me like this. I want you to be my first." Cairo admitted with a lot of desire and love? for you in her voice right now. I nodded quietly before kissing her slowly and sensual. Cairo's eyes filled with anxiety now as she felt your lips going down on her neck. She felt it everywhere on her body. She felt like she couldn't wait anymore now. "Y/n..." Cairo whispered, feeling somehow scared?
“It’s okay…” you whispered soothing into her ear before kissing her cheek soft, placing down kisses along her jaw. While your hand caressed the side of her body. Their body’s were still wet from the rain. The skin of each other felt cold, but they also felt the heat rising their body’s were producing. Y/n hands moved so smooth along Cairos wet tights while kissing her chest.
So soft… so gently. This was beyond what Cairo had imagined. She wasn’t even thinking about the hard stuff she was used to write. This was so much better. It felt so much more intense. The way you caressed her tight made her almost shiver. Her clit was still throbbing and pulsing like crazy.
In a smooth way you had put the fabric of Cairos slip between your fingers, pulling it slowly down. You sat up, on your knees in front of her. Cairo raised her legs slightly so you could take her slip off easily. While doing that your eyes lingered on her reaction. You saw her breathing heavy but she still seemed so calm. There was a light in her eyes you could get lost in forever. Her lips looked slightly wet, just by looking at them you felt your own tingling.
The moment you removed her slip and let it fall beside your bed you had put your hands on her slightly closed legs. Cairo was watching every move of your hands, so she didn’t even noticed that you watched her face expression instead. Slowly you moved your hands up to her knees. You could see her pupils getting bigger the moment you opened her legs just to place your body between them. You could swear she gasped but Cairo Sweet was also pretty good in hiding her expressions. You held back a smirk before reaching for a blanket and putting it above the both of you.
Another growl came from the thunder outside. The light of the lightning strikes through your bedroom, when you leaned over Cairo and your eyes met hers. You had goosebumps now. The cold was noticeable. But the heat of our body’s was even more present.
You brushed your nose slightly against Cairos
Whispering “relax my dear” before kissing her cheek gently, then her jaw and then her neck. You had found your favorite spot, Cairos neck. It was so soft and warm. You could feel her pulse when your lips touched it. With pure love you kissed her neck slow, your tongue meeting her skin. Love. So that was the word that came now into your mind? You sighed into too her neck in pleasure. Giving her hot open mouthed kisses, biting her slight when it was getting to much for yourself.
A moan escaped Cairo and her heart began beating as even harder now as you took care of her like this. She felt so warm all of the sudden, and even though she was only in her bra, she didn't felt cold at all anymore. She could enjoy you touching her like this without having to worry about anything else. You were everything she could want, everything she could dream of and more right now. She wanted you so badly that she could feel her chest trembling under your touch. "Y/n... I'm yours. I want to be yours completely." Cairo whispered with a hoarse voice while kissing you deeply back.
You then kissed her gently and whispered into her ear “you’ll be my first too” before kissing her chest and moving down to her breasts.
Cairo's eyes widened once she heard y/n words. "R-really y/n?" Cairo asked while her eyes grew wider now. If you were actually being serious right now, that made everything the two of them were gonna do now even more real and even more exciting. But Cairo also felt so incredibly safe right now. You had taken care of her, and now you were gonna be her first. Cairo knew exactly what was gonna happen now, but couldn't contain her excitement that y/n was actually gonna be her first. And she will be yours. “Thank you…” Cairo whispered almost not audible.
“No… I need to thank you” you whispered and bit slight into her breast that was covered in the thin black laced bra she was wearing. A slight moan escaped her,
“Thank you… for making me feel alive again”. You whispered husky
And then Cairo began to remembered about the awful car crash you barely survived. About your dead mother and about the scars on your back. Cairo's heart was beating hard once you mentioned that she had made you feel alive again. "I've never felt this way before y/n. You are my everything right now." Cairo whispered while letting you feel her love for you and making you feel like they were the only two people in this world right now. She wanted you to feel so safe right now, she wanted you to know how important being safe and loved was to her right now. "Let's do this y/n... make me yours." Cairo whispered with a soft smile, not wanting this moment to end anytime soon at all.
You looked up at her and stopped kissing her covered breast. Your eyes met hers. You looked at her and felt like melting right in her arms. You felt so good… so safe… so comfortable. Cairo moved slightly before looking at you with her head tilted. One hand rested on your back while the other moved with her fingers through your hair. Moving it to the side so she could appreciate your face. She was holding your hair between her fingers and caressed the scalp of your head. Your eyes wandered to the hand she had on your back. Where she was caressing one of your scars along your left shoulder blade. You began to have goosebumps. Feeling so relaxed and somehow loved?
You slowly looked back to Cairo, she had a tiny smile. Almost invisible but you saw it in the way the corners of her mouth moved up.
You immediately moved back up and kissed her hard. Making her gasp for air. Cairo felt her whole body shaking right now, unable to contain herself anymore as your hand moved slowly down her stomach, coming closer to her lower part of the body.
You breathed heavy against her lips while she moved her arms around your back. Holding you close. Your fingers slid slowly between her folds. You slightly bit your own lip, feeling how soaked she was already. Making your self feel turned on as well. “please..." Cairo whispered now, her eyes growing even wider now as you began to move your fingers in circles around her throbbing clit. A moan escaped Cairo and you decided to not play around for long. You went for it. Your fingertip teasing her wet cunt. Making you breath harder and burry your face in Cairos neck. "Y/n... I'm... I'm... gonna explode." Cairo said, her breath becoming more and more rapid. You smiled into the crook of her neck and kissed her before biting slight into her skin while moving your finger slowly inside her. You felt her nails in your back and breathed even heavier “so tight…” you whispered. You couldn’t help it.
It was turning you on in so many ways and the fact you were doing this with Cairo Sweet. The moment those words left your lips you could feel Cairos walls around your finger getting even tighter if this was even possible. You went deeper and deeper penetrating her with the full size of your finger. But you were craving for more. You began to move your finger slowly in and out. Feeling Cairo getting more and more aroused with every move. She started breathing heavier. Almost panting.
You kissed soft her pulse before asking
“Are you okay?” To check on her. She moaned a quiet “yes” with a slight pitched voice when you moved your finger back inside of her slowly. She was gripping your biceps tight. “Tell me if it hurts” you whispered seductive before adding another finger. She was so tight you struggled to penetrate her almost. But she was so soaked in her wetness… it made it easier than it should have. Cairo didn't even react to the feeling right now right away as she was still trying to contain how good this was feeling in general. She was so hungry for you. And now she could finally, finally have you and make herself feel pleasure like never before. After a few moments though her body reacted and Cairo started breathing loud. Her grip tightened around your bicep.
“Did it hurt?” You asked softly and stopped moving deeper. "Yes... but a good feeling of pain." Cairo explained now as she looked at you with a lot of affection in her eyes. "I feel so good right now y/n. You're so amazing." Cairo whispered now with so much passion in her voice. You couldn’t help but smiled and kissed her cheek before keep going deeper very slow, so Cairo could get used to it while your fingers stretched her out. Cairo's body felt so good right now during this whole process as she couldn't contain herself anymore. Every move you made on her felt incredible. She's never felt this way before and wanted to keep this feeling forever. Your lips on her neck made her feel so safe at the same time and she's glad you were her first, taking advantage of her virginity. Everything you were doing right now, everything you did to Cairo, felt so perfect.
The moment your fingers were fully inside her, a moan escaped her. You weren’t moving anymore. You gave her time to get used to it. Cairo was breathing heavy. Her back slightly arched when her walls tightened around your fingers the minute you moved them slight. She gave you a quiet nod, signaling you that she was ready.
Your breath started getting heavier and heavier while Cairo's eyes slowly closed. Every move you made now seemed to affect Cairo so deeply that she couldn’t take it anymore. "Y/n... I... I-" she couldn’t end her sentence. Moaning loud when you held her hip tight with your free hand and then began to move in a slow pace while moving fully inside her till your knuckles touched her cunt.
Cairo's eyes were closed and she let herself be controlled by your moves right now. This was so good right now, being in control now of her body and her own thoughts while you did most of the action. She wanted you to take care of her right now, and you were doing a really good job at doing exactly that right now.
Your tongue moved along her pulse, placing kisses on her throat and chest while you pushed your fingers faster into her cunt. Feeling her wetness dripping down your knuckles at this point.
Your breath was getting harder and harder with every move you did now while Cairo kept moaning in pleasure while this all happened. She enjoyed this moment so deeply right now and just wanted this moment to go on forever. She literally couldn't contain her reactions anymore. She sighed deeply, feeling so satisfied and happy right now. She was feeling this feeling so deeply in her body right now. "Y/n... you're so good y/n." Cairo whispered this time.
You began to be more passionately. Your lips moving along every spot you could find. Kissing her. Tasting her skin. You were moving your fingers so fast that you felt yourself getting wet at the sensation how Cairos walls clenched around you. Getting tighter you assumed she would be getting close. Cairo's eyes were growing bigger now as her breath grew heavier and her face's temperature became even hotter. "Ohh... y/n." Cairo whispered now while her voice was growing softer over time right now. She could feel her body reaching its peak right now and you began to go even faster. "Y/n, you're gonna make me-..." Cairo whispered but couldn’t end her sentence she her voice broke off. But you knew exactly what she was talking about and it made you go a bit rougher now. “That’s what I want my dear” you whispered husky into her ear.
Your pace grew even faster and so turned your touch rougher, Cairo began to hold on very tight to the bed now. "Y/n..." Cairo whispered, not being able to say anything else right now anymore. "I... I'm...." Cairo stopped talking for a moment. The moment she managed to get enough air she said "I... I'm close y/n..." Cairo whispered once again, feeling her peak so close right now as her words are growing quieter and quieter now.
Cairo grew silent and couldn't say anything anymore. She could feel her mind going blank right now as she felt her orgasm coming over her now. She felt all of the sensations inside of her grow so intense and beautiful, she felt like she was gonna explode right now. She couldn't get a word out right now... but she didn't need to anymore. Cairo felt her whole body shaking and trembling right now. She arched her back. Only your name on her mind. She moaned, calling out your name “y/n…” she groaned and felt her chest rising up and down like crazy.
You felt how she tightened around your fingers. Her cum dripping down your knuckles, covered your hand in it.
You slowed your pace, breathing heavy against her neck while riding out her orgasm before you pulled out your fingers slowly.
As soon as you did that, you rested your forehead on Cairos. Both of you breathing in heavy the air of each other. Cairo moved her hands around your back. Feeling the scars under her hands, caressing them gently while kissing you softly on the lips.
Your breathing began to steady “Your mine now” you whispered, your lips brushing hers. Cairo couldn't help but smile a bit now while thinking about the fact that y/n finally said to her that she was only hers now. She loved every single part of this moment right now. "I'm yours now. I'll never let go of you now y/n." Cairo whispered while her body was calming down from her orgasm now, feeling the best she ever felt before. Cairo and you made out until both finally felt the need to take a rest in each other’s arms. Cairo herself felt so good with you next to her, with her fingers tangled in your hair, with the feeling of your body next to her. She felt safe in this moment with you by her side. She nuggled up into your body, placing a gentle kiss on your shoulder and couldn't help but close her eyes in this moment, as her body was also feeling tired from everything that you both had just done.
