God, thank you for rec'ing this fic, it is SOOOO good.

I am so sad that I am now basically caught up with it; pretty much.

I want more so badly.

(also, I want Leo to get/keep some cool water/mystic water guardian powers somehow after all he goes through in this fic; he deserves some kind of award for everything he went through in the show and movie and now this. The poor blue baby goes through so much in this fic. I love it. (Oml I didn’t realize that I haven’t written out a proper observations post since May?? I’m so sorry y’all life has been crazy b u s y and the world has been on fire due to colonialism, but I’m going to write more again 🙃 I love astrology but existence is wild y’all)

-I had a client say Geminis always get Gemini tattoos.. while getting a Gemini tattoo lol (and they were right!!) (Leo suns are second most likely imo)

-mutable venuses like changes in fashion a lot, they tend to go through fashion phases



-Every Pisces sun I’ve met has said they don’t really like being a Pisces at least once. Which is so interesting because Pisces sun isn’t a placement in determent, Libra is ! And I think 9 times out of 10 Libras will say they love being Libras (or it’s a huge part of their personality fr)

-My favorite thing I’ve heard from a Libra sun I knew was that they hated doing all of the things that made them appear socially functional so I said “why do you do it? why not just stop doing what you hate?” and they just looked blank like they couldn’t even imagine not conforming (even though they were an aqua moon)

-Ok so I’ve been wondering why I’ve had repetitive instances of some people being passive aggressive and w e i r d at my main job when I literally own the business and I’m their boss?? I just noticed the pattern after ages of wondering why cancer was associated with nationalism on a wide scale. (Pluto in Cancer generation and the rise in nationalism after ww2 for example)

-I feel like Sagittarius placements (especially the big 3) will always be ready to do something new and life changing at any age (moving abroad, going on vacation and exploring new places, getting their first tattoo, anything that seems like it’ll open the door to a set of new experiences)

-Strong mars and mercury energy can make someone brutal in arguments (air mars, Virgo and Gemini mars, even Kendrick is an example he destroyed Drake- and Kendrick has mars conjunct Mercury and a Gemini sun)

I also feel like you can achieve some impossible things during this transit due to Lilith’s energy (she’s built for rebellion, so when a lot of criticism is pointed her way she finds an unconventional way to come out on top)

pairing: huening kai x gn!reader.

genre: strangers to friends to lovers, fluff, angst.

warnings: death, grieving, crying, acceptance.

summary: inspired by the movie, “20th Century Girl”: while trying to help your friend get a boy she likes, you meet your own love… a love you thought would last forever.

author’s note (please read): as the cancer season comes to an end, the leo season begins. not only my month starts but also huening’s so, i’ve decided to start this month with a special treat! it’s taken a lot out of me to write about things like this especially with the fact that i once lost someone who was very important to me and a huge factor in my life. but over time, i’ve learned that it’s okay to grieve and it’s definitely okay to not be okay. i hope you enjoy this fic. ♥︎

with strangers, friendship can grow. or the stranger can be a total jerk, let’s hope that’s not the case.

“y/n, pleeeeaaaseee!” your friend chae begs. you roll your eyes as you remember what she’s begging you for. she’s begging you to help her with her crush. you being you, you’re thinking of all the worst outcomes of this. you can probably mess up by accidentally walking up to the guy and he automatically shuts you down. or, you can just walk up to the wrong guy!

anywho, you agree. much to her surprise, actually. she was expecting you to say no, knowing how you are but instead of questioning it, she just cheers happily. you watch her cheer with a laugh and say, “okay, okay. where is he?”

she points over at him, making you look in the direction of where she’s directing you to and see two boys. as far as you know, their names are taehyun and huening kai. you were about to ask her which one but she tells you taehyun before you can even utter the words.

you know very few things about taehyun. one thing is that he prioritizes his studies over everything else. another thing is that, you rarely see him with anyone besides the boy with him at the moment. that’s all you know.

with no information besides what you already know, you decide to just go for it. you begin walking over to the two boys, seeing that they’re talking with each other and laughing amongst themselves.

finally reaching them, you look back to make sure that chae is still standing and for your sake, she still is. you clear your throat quietly as the two boys look at you with smiles and say hi, wondering why you’re there.

“hi! ummm, taehyun, right?” you ask, watching as he nods in response. you give him at tight lipped smile as you begin to tell him that your friend has taken a liking to him and that she’d like to try and get to know him, something along those lines.

both him and huening kai share a quick look before huening shrugs and smiles softly. taehyun agrees kindly and asks where your friend is so he can go over to her. you point over to her, seeing that she’s now seated at a table on her phone. he waves bye to huening kai and begins walking over with a warm smile.

you and huening watch as they begin talking and smile in happiness. “he’s never accepted a girl’s advances before,” you hear from behind you. you look back, seeing huening kai watch the two of them from afar, with a sappy smile on his face.

much to your surprise, you reciprocate his smile. not because of them but because of him. his smile is making you smile. his gummy smile is so cute, you think to yourself. you’re so in your thoughts that you don’t even realize that he’s staring back at you while his smile unconsciously widens.

you’re both admiring something about each other as you finally realize how long you’ve been staring and finally think about how creepy you look.

huening looks away as well, his smile not leaving but his stare fleeting. he musters up the courage to ask you, scared to ask you at first. “would you like to be friends, uhhh-” he pauses, realizing he doesn’t know your name. “y/n.” you say, you would ask his name but you already know it due to your friend’s infatuation with his best friend. “ah, y/n, would you like to be friends?” he asks again, this time with your name coming first.

“i’d love to be.”

with friendship, love can grow. romantically, platonically, love comes in every form and or shape.

with huening kai, it just so happened to be romantically. you’re not sure if he feels the same but what you are sure of is that he’s all you think about.

his beautiful smile, bringing such warmth to anyone who comes into contact with him. his way with words, he really knows how to make anyone feel loved by him. his perfect personality, the lovely mixture of funny, charm and kindness. he has all the assets of a great partner.

much to your disappointment, he’s brought up the fact that he has a crush on someone. you couldn’t possibly guess who as he doesn’t really interact with anyone besides you, taehyun and shockingly, chae.

not thinking too much of it, you finally bring yourself back down to earth and tune into the environment. you’re surrounded by tons of people filled with joy, excited to get on the rides. on the right of you, there’s chae. she seems to be getting impatient as she taps her foot every chance she gets and rolls her eyes at how long the line is. to the left of you, you have huening kai and taehyun, who’s now chae’s boyfriend.

taehyun taps you on the shoulder and asks if he could talk to chae, which you mindlessly agree to. now you’re next to kai, who’s immediately smiling from the sight of you. “you excited?” he asks, words filled with childlike energy.

you smile at him, “yeah, are you?” he half heartedly smiles at you, nodding his head with quickness. “yeah… totally excited…!” he says quickly before looking away. you’re caught off guard by his sudden change in attitude towards the ride and your eyes squint in confusion.

at the time, you would’ve thought he just didn’t want to get on the ride. but he did. he wanted to get on the ride, it was just that… he was scared of rollercoasters.

“kai, are you scared of roller coasters?” you question, causing him to whip his head in your direction. he looks around, trying to come up with an answer that won’t give away his obvious fear.

“of course not! it was just that slushy i had a while ago, i’m still a little shaky from it,” he says, trying to play it off with a nervous chuckle but you can see right through him.

you decide to brush it off yet, you can’t help but pity him. you don’t want him to feel forced to get on the ride because everyone else is, but if he wants to get on then so be it. chae and taehyun are hand in hand as the line moves quickly, you all now reaching the seats. the two in front of you rush to the back seats as you and huening are left with no option but to sit all the way in the front.

based on how everyone on the line avoided the front of the line, you’re guessing that this ride is no joke. you watch as huening fills with fear and you start feeling bad for him once again as he seats himself on the right side of the ride. you seat yourself next to him, waiting for the worker to come and strap you both in.

“kai, are you sure you’re gonna be okay?” you ask, placing a hand on his thigh to give him some type of comfort. he grabs your hand tightly and simply says, “yeah.” before the worker comes around to you two and buckles you both in, giving the person at the start button a thumbs up and motioning everybody else to do so.

you raise your thumb up with eagerness and watch as huening raises his up slowly with his eyes closed tightly. you feel him grip at your hand tighter as the ride begins moving, showing a huge raise in the air as it prepares for the drop.

as the ride makes its way up, you hear huening gasp quickly. you look over at him, seeing if he’s okay before he starts saying, “y/n, if i die! i just want you to know! i’ve had a huge crush on you since day one! i always thought you were so nice and sweet and pretty cool! your smile! your laugh! your eyes! your heart! everything! i always talked to taehyun about it to the point that he would get tired of it and tell me to try speaking to you! i’ve really been your biggest fan and i hope that we could possibly end up together one day!”

you look at him with widened eyes as the ride begins to drop, watching him scream in terror while still having his eyes closed. you watch your hair fling back and forth as the ride blades through the wind, thinking about everything huening just said.

so, he did like you back.

with love, comes pain. unthinkable pain, pain that can be absolutely unbearable at times.

he’s going back to hawai’i. and he’s not coming back, is what he told you. at the time, you were filled with so much shock and anger that you didn’t even respond to him when he told you. you left him conflicted. he even considered staying for you, no matter how much his parents and siblings needed him back home.

you called him all types of names to chae, you told her that he was a terrible boyfriend, a horrible person and you told her that you hated him.

now here you are, running to the bus station hoping to catch him before he leaves. you’re running as fast as you can, running and bumping into everyone while trying to get there as fast as you can. trying to get to him.

as you run, your bag catches onto something and you struggle with it before finally getting it off of whatever it got stuck to. continuing with your pursuit, you try to remember the bus that was set to take the passengers on board to the boat for hawai’i. filled with fear at the fact that you might not make it, you start asking people if they know where that bus terminal might be. a lot of no’s are said and you feel a pit in your stomach.

you just want to see him one last time.

you go up to one more person, asking if they know where the bus might be. you’re met with a tall man, a man who’s about huening kai’s height, seems to have the same hair color and the same body type.

completely out of breath from all the running you did, you politely tap the man on the shoulder and ask him, panting in between each word.

“yeah! that’s the bus i’m heading for right no- y/n?” the man above you asks. your eyes widen as you look up to be met with a familiar face.

him.

“wha… what are you doing here?” he asks, clearly shocked to see you here. you continue panting as you reach for his hand, tears soon building up in your eyes.

“i’m sorry—for everything i didn’t say. i didn’t say anything when i should’ve told you that i loved you and i’m fine with long distance, i should’ve told you to be there for your family and do what you have to do. i should’ve told you that no matter how many hours away you are, my love for you will never change. ’m sorry for not saying that, kai.”

you finish as huening looks at you with a small smile, tapping your hand with his finger. as you look up, he catches your lips and kisses you with so much love and affection, like he’s been waiting to do this.

you waste no time kissing him back, embracing his torso with your arms as he holds your face in his large palms, deepening the kiss without any effort. a bus rushes past the both of you, causing both of your hair to flail in the air as if you were in a movie.

he slowly pulls his lips away from yours, connecting the both of your foreheads. he rubs your cheek with his eyes closed as he inhales deeply, breathing in your scent one last time.

he opens his eyes and he’s met with you looking up at him with tears in your eyes. his eyes begin to water as well as it finally dawns on him that this is actually the last time he’ll see you in person.

not even six months into your relationship and he’s already leaving you. he feels terrible but he can’t do anything about it, his family needs him back home and he can’t stay no matter how desperately he wants to. he dreamt of a future with you in it, you’re the only person he thinks about 24/7.

he chuckles sadly as you say, “promise me you’ll call when you can, please,” his smile fades away slowly as he nods his head. as he’s about to kiss you again, the terminal announcer calls for all passengers boarding for hawai’i.

he pulls from you quietly, picking up his bags before kissing you on the forehead softly as his bus pulls into the station.

you begin sobbing profusely as he takes his final steps away from you, watching as he begins crying as well with his head down. you’re both ugly crying and watching him board the bus doesn’t help but you can’t look away.

he steps onto the bus before turning around and mouthing the words, “i love you” before the door closes on him and the bus begins moving. you run with the vehicle, saying the words, “i love you more” way more than he said it.

your legs finally give out on you and you drop to your knees, with your head lowered toward the ground as you cry into the sad air. but you remember his promise:

he’ll call.

with distance, comes longing. longing to be in your partner’s arms, within the arms reach of them. longing for them.

it’s been almost 7 months since he’s left for hawai’i, and he’s called every other up until now. it’s been a month since he’s last called you and at this point, you’re thinking this was his way of breaking up with you.

you walk over to the call boxes as usual when you’re about to call him and you put in a few coins and type in the number he gave you. you wait a few seconds, hearing the phone ring and then say, “the number you have reached is not in service. please check the number and dial again.” you’re filled with so much rage and frustration that you don’t even hang up, you just start yelling into the phone.

“i’m gonna get over you for real now! not gonna wait anymore! it’s better to just think you’re dead,” you say, sobbing and sniffing softly, “and don’t call me later— that won’t work! you don’t have anymore chances!” you cry into the phone, “and i don’t miss you anymore— so have a nice life, you ungrateful bastard!” you add, dropping the phone, not even bothering to put it back on the dial.

you walk out of the box, sobbing into the sleeves of your shirt as you make your way back to your school campus.

2 YEARS LATER.

with loss, comes grievance. take the time to grieve for the things you have lost, or even the people you’ve lost.

as you walk into your old home, you get filled with nostalgia from the past, good and some bad. you look around and see a box with a card, reading, “to y/n l/n.”

you open it and read the containments, “come visit us, 9am ~ 6pm.” with a location at the top. seeing that it has your name you think nothing of it, you’re just confused.

pushing all of that aside, you decide to visit the location but you proceed with caution.

you drive to the location and you’re met with a place that holds viewings. viewings for those who’ve passed and some viewing held for art shows.

you read the card once again and go to the viewing it directs you to, as you enter the space you’re met with a screen showing a beautiful blossom tree. you smile in awe at how beautiful it is before looking over at the singular bench sitting under the tree.

there’s words on the bench, the words read,

“the eternal spring; remembering kai kamal huening (2002-2023).”

before you can get caught up in your head, you hear footsteps coming from the left side of you. you whip your head to the direction of the steps and you’re met with taehyun.

he stares at you for a while, seeing how much you’ve changed and slowly walks over to a bench in front of the screen. he motions to the seat next to him, asking you to sit down. as you walk over to him, he begins speaking.

“while i was moving away, i found a package that huening had hid. that was a while ago, probably even before he passed… i was surprised that he had hidden this, y’know but, it’s obvious that it was special.” he pauses for a second, allowing you to take in everything that he’s saying.

“i felt the need to send it. so, i decided to contact you and even go as far as to arrange this viewing. i’m sorry if it made you uncomfortable or upset but i didn’t know what else to do, y/n.”

“it’s fine, thank you actually. i would’ve still been… angry. i would’ve been forever, if i didn’t know.” you say, staring at the floor as you speak. you hear him huff, wiping a hand through his hair.

“i was actually… upset with you for a moment.” he says, catching you off guard, you look over at him. “i was scared he’d… come back here for you.” he adds.

much to your surprise, you hear him laugh quietly.

“i was looking through the things he had filmed and that’s when i realized, you’re the person he truly wanted. and i felt the need to tell you just how alive— how alive he felt when he was with you, y/n. and how much he truly loved you.”

he says, leaving you heartbroken. you softly sniffle as he continues, “what i realized, while watching it— the film—that the happiest moments in his short lifetime, were when he was with you. you mattered to him.” he pauses, looking over at you. “so i want to thank you, for being there and for remembering him.”

you smile half heartedly, chuckling sadly, “how could i… ever— forget kai?” you say, smiling softly at taehyun as he mirrors your smile. he hands you a tape, before taking his leave and walking out to his car.

you follow suite and head back to your car as well, heading home to play the tape.

as you make it home, you take off your shoes at the door and walk to your room. looking in your closet for your vcr player, you grab it and blow it. watching years of collected dust fly off of it, you plug it in and set it up under your tv.

you pop in the tape, nowhere near ready for what’s about to come.

as the tape begins playing, you see taehyun singing and playing the piano. you smile at the memory and keep your eyes on the screen as you pop into the camera. it’s a video of you plucking flowers from the ground as huening records, his soft laughter filling the background of the video. you watch as the tape continues playing with different videos of you, that he recorded. videos of you dancing, playing around with him and recording the morning announcements from high school as his warm laughter and giggles fill the air of the video.

the tape cuts to static, causing you to have an internal panic as you believe your vcr’s stopped working, but no. the static cuts to a video of huening kai walking through tall grass and flowers as he hovers above it. he lets his hands cut through the flowers as the video cuts to his face, cutting to him adjusting the camera with a smile as he begins talking.

“good morning. it’s probably the new year! i got out of bed really early to show you this, it’s probably really late there. just wait for me a bit longer, i’ll come see you soon, y/n. it’ll be fun, in the new year— with you.” he finishes, smiling into the camera. you watch him say with a sad smile, knowing that he didn’t even make it to the new year. you know he would’ve loved to see you, in person.

with death, comes denial, anger, bargaining, depression and finally, acceptance.

acceptance is the most important part. you accept that ever after all that they’ve been through, they’re no longer in pain or suffering like they used to. you learn to accept that they’re better and it’s okay to miss them at times. they’re still with you, maybe not physically but they’re in your heart. forever.

it’s time to accept that he’s gone.

4. I feel like laughing in the middle of practice

you loved watching your boyfriend’s football games almost as much as you love your boyfriend

what you love even more is when he wins and comes running over to you, forgetting about the fact he even won the game

he ran over to you, wrapping his arms around your waist, picking you up and spinning you around, and you throw your arms around his neck, pulling him in for a tight hug

Taking a bus halfway across Maine was not on Nicos bucket list. Yet, there he was in a stuffy bus that looked, and smelled, like it had been made back in the 20’s—which Nico would know, he was there. Next to him Leo sat anything but still, his fingers drumming against the arm rests and occasionally grabbing things from his tool belt to tinker with. Sometimes he looked like a toddler hyped up on too much sugar. His constant movement comforted Nico though, it was a reminder that he wasn’t alone.

Of course he was still mad at Leo for ruining his genius plan to face a goddess alone, or at least he was trying to convince himself he was mad.

“Dude, this bus needs so much work.” Leo said, as he held up his freshly made penguin that consisted of various screws. “I’m not sure how they got it to last this long, it’s like beyond messed up.”

“Probably why the tickets were so cheap,” Nico replied as he watched the screw penguin’s head bobble around.

“I give it about an hour before it breaks down,” Leo suddenly paused, titling his head as if he were hearing something. “Scratch that she’s going down now.”

As soon as he said that the bus sputtered, losing speed as the driver pulled over to the side of the road.

“Sorry everyone, we seem to be having some problems.” The bus driver grumpily announced, he acted as if this were a regular occasion.

“It’s my time to shine,” Leo grinned as he stood up from the seat. “Don’t worry mortals, Leo’s got this all under control.”

“Please ignore him,” Nico gave the few confused passengers a smile as he pushed Leo towards the door. “You can just call people mortals.”

“Oops,” Leo shrugged as he hopped down from the last bus step onto the pavement. “Anyways let’s see what’s up with this bad boy.”

Nico rolled his eyes as Leo popped open the hood of the bus to reveal the engine. The driver appeared shocked, as Leo shouldn’t have been able to just open it without releasing the latch.

“Hey kid, what do you think you’re doing?” The driver called out as he slowly made his way out of the bus.

“Just fixing up some stuff, don’t mind me.” Leo didn’t even look up as he pulled some tools out of his belt.

Nico was about to try and mediate the situation when he realized something was wrong. Back in the bus he hadn’t noticed it due to the overpowering musk of age, but the driver was most definitely a monster.

By the change of expression on the drivers face, Nico saw that he too realized they weren’t just regular mortals. Leo was, of course, oblivious to this.

“Looks like I have a rat problem,” The bus driver snarled in their direction.

“Nope, not rats, just a really rusted battery.” Leo offhandedly replied.

“Leo, he’s not talking about the bus.” Nico nudged him, as the mist around the driver began to evaporate, morphing his two eyes into one.

“Then what is he-holy smokes!” Leo dropped his wrench in surprise as he saw the undercover cyclopes be revealed.

“Should’ve known you demigods would’ve snuck in here sooner or later,” The driver clenched his bulky fists as if preparing himself to attack.

Nico scanned the area for any makeshift weapon, he was really regretting leaving his sword behind.

“Hey buddy,” Leo raised his hands in attempt to reason, “I’ll fix your bus for free, how about you don’t kill us?”

“Killing you is much better than driving this piece of junk,” His eye was focused on Nico as he spoke. “Especially you, you reek of the underworld.”

“And you reek of spoiled eggs,” Nico snapped back, “at least I have an excuse, what’s yours?”

The cyclopes didn’t like that, which was made apparent by him grabbing a chunk of dirt and lobbing it towards them.

“Hit the deck!” Leo called, which didn’t really apply to them as there was no ‘deck’ but Nico didn’t point that out. Instead, he dropped to the floor as the piece of earth sailed past their heads.

“Leo, does your tool belt supply weapons?” Nico asked while the cyclopes reloaded on dirt.

Leo rummaged for a moment before pulling out a weird hatchet-hammer tool, which later Nico found out was a drywall hammer. “How’s this?”

“Good enough,” Nico said as he grabbed the hammer thing.

Another mound of dirt flew towards them but it was blasted to dust when Leo shot a ball of fire towards it. “Take that dirt boy!” He screamed.

Using Leo as a distraction Nico bolted off to the side, running around the bus so that he ended up behind the cyclopes. Unfortunately the cyclopes seemed to have predicted this as he quickly spun around, his arm slamming into Nico resulting in him being thrown into the side of the bus.

Before the cyclopes could do anymore damage Leo screamed, “Take this dirt face!” Then a wrench bounced off the back of the cyclopes’s head.

A flash of rage appeared on the cyclopes’s face as he turned towards Leo, grabbing an extra large chunk of dirt. “Oh you’re going to regret that.”

“I am?” Leo asked with a grin.

The cyclopes had forgotten about Nico leaving him the perfect opportunity, “I will crush you-” The cyclopes stopped mid sentence as Nico stabbed the hatchet into his back. Then with a look of shock, he erupted into dust.

“Nice!” Leo called out.

“Yeah..” Nico winced as he looked down at his arm, the bandages had been soaked through with blood after the hard hit he took.

“Dude, ouch.” Leo’s smile dropped as his eyes moved over the once white gauze.

“It’s fine,” Nico sighed looking back towards the bus, “more importantly. What are we going to do now?”

Leo seemed to realize they were now faced with a bus full of angry commuters, with no bus driver, and still had about 150 miles to go. “Right, looks like we’re taking a ride on the Leo express!”

Leo knew how to drive, mostly.

While he’d never taken the time to get an official license, he knew machines better than anyone. A bus was certainly easier to handle than a giant flying ship.

Fixing the engine was also a piece of cake.

The difficult part was the passengers, turns out they weren’t thrilled by the sudden staff change.

“There’s no way we can just let a 15 year old drive!”

“Hey!” Leo snapped at the lady who looked like she was about to demand to speak to his supervisor. “I’ll have you know i’m 18!”

“Do you even have a license?”

“Now now, everyone calm down. Listen, i’m a trained professional.” Leo shrugged with his palms up, “I mean, do you want to stay on the side of the road forever?”

The bus went quiet with defeat.

“Right, well then sit down, get comfortable, because the Leo train is leaving the station!” Leo didn’t get the cheers and applause he expected from that statement, just a few groans and unpleasant mutters.

Soon, the bus was driving smoothly across the roads and Leo barely had to pay attention as he’d fixed up a temporary autopilot gadget. Beside him, Nico winced as he removed the bandages from his scratches. Somehow the wound looked worse.

“Dude, that looks really bad,” Leo frowned as he pulled out more bandages from his tool belt.

“It’s fine,” Nico mumbled, not even looking up at Leo.

“Yeah you keep saying that but I’ve yet to start believing it.”

Nico wrapped the bandages carefully around his arm, gritting his teeth as he tried to hide the pain. “It’s just a scratch, i’ve seen worse.”

That didn’t comfort Leo, in fact in made him feel worse. Of course, it’s only expected that a demigod face some pretty rough injuries here and there—Leo himself had seen quite a few. But Nico’s insistence on ignoring his pain made Leo worried that if it were to be serious, he’d never know.

Despite that, he knew arguing would just make Nico more annoyed, so he tried to liven up the atmosphere. “You know, if we were in an episode of the Magic School Bus right now you’d be Arnold.”

“What the Hades is the Magic School Bus?” Nico looked at Leo as if he were crazy.

Leo threw his head back in exasperation, “You’ve got to be joking! You don’t know the Frizz?”

“The what?”

“That’s it, i’m making a list of all the things you need to watch when we get back to camp.”

“Whatever,” Nico rolled his eyes, “as long as you don’t put Twilight on there i’m happy.”

“Hold up, Twilight?” Leo tried and failed to hold back a smile.

“Yeah, Will told me it was iconic, or whatever.” Nico paused as if remembering something unpleasant, “If iconic means torturous, then it surely was.”

Leo burst into laughter at the thought of Nico actually watching Twilight, “Dont worry, we will not be watching any vampire shows.”

The rest of the ride was spent with Leo determining what things Nico had and hadn’t watched. Turns out Will had caught him up on quite a lot, but Leo still developed a lengthy list of things he would bless Nico with. In a way Nico’s unawareness of modern culture reminded him of Jason, due to his upbringing by wolves he was a bit out of the loop when it came to many popular things. Leo figured he’d do a “modern culture” class at camp, maybe invite Hazel. The idea made him smile, it was something to look forward to.

Eventually, they made it to the bus station, where he and Nico quickly snuck away to avoid suspicion. To their luck no one at the station had realized what happened until they were long gone.

Not to their luck, they still had a five mile walk ahead of them.

They spent a large part of the walk in silence, as it was hard to focus on anything other than the heat. Eventually, Leo got bored and tried to think about anything else, his mind wandering back to their previous conversation.

“I’m really wishing I had a magic school bus right about now,” Leo whined as he trudged forward. The warm air was now unpleasant as the sun beamed down upon him.

“And i’m really wishing I left you back at camp.”

“Hey!” Leo glared at Nico who bit back a smile, “You’re lucky! I blessed you with my company.”

Nico scoffed, “Right, blessed, that’s the word I was looking for.”

“Why does this place have to be out in the middle of nowhere?” Leo asked as he peered into the distance in hopes of seeing the outline of the school.

“Guess they didn’t want any kids running off,” Nico shrugged. “Honestly I don’t remember much about it, I was only there for like a year?” He seemed to think about it for a moment before giving up.

“That was after the casino?” Leo asked, he decided to take this as a chance to ask more about Nico’s past. It was the one topic Nico avoided, or maybe Leo was the one who avoided it, after all he knew how much old memories could hurt.

“Yeah, time felt so messed up back then. I mean it was like seventy years? But then suddenly i’m in the 20th century at some school in a state i’d never heard of before.” Nico sighed, “Not sure how I wasn’t more confused, it just felt normal, or whatever I thought normal was.”

Leo nodded, he was afraid to speak, careful to not scare Nico away.

“You don’t have to be so on edge,” Nico turned to look at him, almost as if he’d read his mind.

“I’m not...” Leo paused, “It’s just you’ve never talked in depth about this stuff with me before.”

“Yeah, I hadn’t talked about it with anyone until Will. But Mr. D says ‘talking is good,’ so might as well take his advice for once.”

The idea of Mr. D being a therapist threw Leo for a loop but he didn’t say anything about it, “Yeah, I guess I never really told anyone about all my stuff until Jason.”

Nico suddenly smirked, “You too seem pretty close.”

Leo’s face flushed red as he avoided Nico’s eyes, “What? No-I mean, of course we’re close, we’re best friends. Totally platonic best friends.”

“Right, and I totally believe you.” Nico rolled his eyes with a grin. There was a peaceful silence for a split second before Nico’s smile faded. Now, in the distance the outline of a large school could be seen.

Nico sighed, a hesitant look flashing across his face before he spoke, “We’re here. Welcome to Westover.”

BRF Reading - 4th of February, 2024

Cards drawn on the 4th of February, 2024

Question: Is Harry going to lose his Prince title in the next three months?

While I was shuffling the cards, I heard two sentences in my mind. One was of someone saying "I'm thinking about it, don't rush me" in a testy voice, and the other was a deeper, calmer voice saying "Sooner than you think". Make of that what you will. The testy, don't want to be rushed energy has carried over into the cards.

Interpretation: Something is coming for Harry, but I'm not sure exactly what.

Card One: Strength in reverse.

The Strength card is the card of Leo, and due to the picture on the Rider-Waite card it is sometimes taken as the Virgo and Leo/Harry and Meghan card. Here it is in the reverse, indicating that Harry and Meghan, the ones poking and wrestling with the lion of England, are going to fall even further than they already have and/or suffer a major defeat. This particularly applies to Meghan, as she is a sun sign Leo.

As a general card, Strength in reverse tells me that Harry is a coward, dominated by his wife, and lacking any significant inner strength or fortitude. He has abandoned his passions and lost everything that used to give him joy and a sense of purpose in life (if there was anything like this in his life). Instead he is just going along with what his wife wants, becoming more and more unhappy, and so spiralling downwards.

The card is also saying that Harry lacks the inner strength to do anything about his situation. He would rather wait for someone else to rescue him, like a damsel in distress, than face the unpleasantness involved in setting himself free. He is not a bold, courageous lion of England in any way - again, I am getting that he does not have a truly courageous bone in his body.

Card Two: The Ace of Pentacles in reverse

Pentacles are about material status, wealth, prosperity, the things of the body and of the world. The Ace signifies new beginnings or new opportunities. In the reverse, it is about missed chances, bad investments, scarcity and deficiencies.

This card is giving me the energy of Harry being stripped of some or all of his worldly status (and wealth). It's giving me hope that Harry will be stripped of his Prince title, but it is not saying that this is a done deal. Instead I am getting a variation of the energy that I got while shuffling the cards - we are thinking about it, it is not something to be rushed.

This new beginning on a lower status feels like it is under consideration. It may very well happen, but the energy is not quite at that point. Pentacles move very slowly, so this may be something that happens in the future, after the three month time period I put on this reading, or it may be something that is slowly coming into being.

If you look at the card, you can see that the pentacle is being held aloft by Poseidon, who is in a sea of water. Water represents emotions in the Tarot, so there are strong feelings about this matter and they are influencing the decision.

Card Three: The Nine of Wands in reverse.

The Nine of Wands is about making your last stand, making one last effort to achieve your goal. In the reverse, it is a card of giving up, of failing to achieve your goal. It can also be a card of being stubbornly set on something, or not making a commitment because you are afraid you don't have the resources to cope if something goes wrong.

This card tells me that Harry's last stand is over. The battle is lost. Whatever he is fighting for (and I'm not sure he knows what that is), it is lost, over, finished. All that is left for him is to recognise this and go somewhere to sort out what he is going to do next. Instead of this, he seems to be unable to realise that the battle is lost, and he is stubbornly insisting on continuing fighting and blaming those around him for his losses.

There is also a suggestion here that Harry is afraid of changing his ways because he thinks he does not have the money/resources to be able to do this, so he will continue on his current path even when everyone around him can see that it is hopeless.

Wands can be PR, but the only PR energy I am getting for this is to give up, retreat, and try to figure out a way to redeem yourself, if that is possible.

As a final note: The Nine of Wands can be a mental health card, and in the reverse it can indicate worsening mental health. I do think that this is the case with Harry, that he is becoming more paranoid and suspicious of people, but I also think that he is using his mental health as a weapon in his fight against his family, in a "if you do x I will do y and it will be all your fault" kind of way. I feel that this weapon is gradually losing its effectiveness, but it still carries some power when he uses it against the BRF. I also feel that this will not be the case for much longer.

Underlying Energy: The Two of Pentacles in reverse.

The energy of this card is of things being out of balance. Energy is being spent in areas that do not bring the hoped for return, and energy is not being spent in areas that would give a good return. This is the suit of Pentacles again, and Harry only has two of them left ( for me the two are his Prince title and his Duke of Sussex title). He is frantically juggling them trying to slot them in here, there, and everywhere, with the result that he has overextended himself and the value of these titles has gone down from many pentacles to just two.

I mentioned balance above. The juggler has lost his balance and the Two of Pentacles, instead of flying merrily through the air, have fallen on the floor and are rolling away from him. Reversals can mean things being taken away, so it is possible that Harry's Prince title will be taken away. The bigger energy is that of someone who has taken something that was perceived as valuable and cheapened it to brass because of their behaviour.

I believe this is how the BRF sees Prince Harry - as the Two of Pentacles in reverse, unbalanced, out of control, and dropping those pentacles they are juggling all over the place. That is the current situation and the question is, what are they going to do about it?

Conclusion:

All the cards in this reading are in reverse, which does not bode well for Harry.

I think that the BRF are currently discussing what to do about Harry and how long they are going to let him cheapen and tarnish his Prince title (and possibly his Duke title, but I didn't ask about that). They know he is a coward, that his reputation is spiralling downwards, and that he has no inner strength or resilience to bring himself back from this situation. They also know that he has tried and failed in what he set out to do. He has been defeated, the battle is over, and yet he stubbornly insists on keeping on fighting.

There is energy about the idea stripping him of one of his royal titles (reducing his pentacles from two to one), as if it is being considered, but I do not feel that it has come to a final conclusion. I think that what is stopping them is concern for his mental health, and I think that Harry is playing that card with them. I also think that the patience of the BRF is running very thin with Harry, and the time will come when they say we don't care what you are saying you will do, this is what is going to happen and that is it.

!!! Opinions on: Flynn

Flynn Moore oh boy. What a complex character to talk about. (Spoilers will be mentioned)

Okay, let's start with my general thoughts; Flynn is one hell of an interesting character and I don't think that the VN would work as well as it does without him. Which is something that I think the team realized as well considering that there is no Flynn (or Flynn-adjacent character) in the initial pitch for Echo.

I went into Echo VN completely blind. Didn't know the plot, didn't know the characters, didn't even realize it was horror until I went to the itch.io page to download the game. I just saw art of the main character and was intrigued enough to check it out.

When first meeting the group, it seemed like you could fit each of them into a standard character archetype: Jenna was "the smart responsible one", Leo was "the group jock", Carl was "the laid-back gamer", and TJ was "the sensitive youngest one". But Flynn stood out. There wasn't anything that quite fit. Now, after reading the entire vn, it's easy to see that all of these characters are much more complex and interesting than they initially seem. But based on first impressions alone, Flynn especially seemed so multi-faceted and intricate. And he immediately became a big point of interest for me.

I was not disappointed.

I get how people wouldn't like him due to his abrasiveness, but I just can't get behind the dislike of Flynn. He's so interesting to me. It's a damn tragedy the way he's punished for just wanting to know more about what happened to his best friend. Flynn is doomed by the narrative and it is fascinating and heartbreaking to see. He can be a dick but Flynn does care about his friends, most obviously shown with Carl. He expresses remorse for his outburst at the river in the prologue and tries to apologize to TJ in the lynx's route. In Flynn's route when it's revealed that Chase had some part in Sydney's drowning, Flynn still goes out of his way to protect Chase from the mob of townspeople at the town hall despite hating the guy and fully believing that Chase killed Sydney. Hell, even as the Socket Man he never intentionally hurts or injures the group (do remember he can and does kill as the Socket Man). He watches over Jenna when she's a child, and I'm a believer of the idea that when Carl crashed his car on acid that the Socket Man was protecting Carl from the Embrace when he manifested in Carl's car. To say that he doesn't care about the group is just objectively wrong. He just wants answers and is frustrated that no one is giving them and seemingly actively getting in his way of finding said answers.

And his relationship with the paranormal eats away at my mind whenever I think about that aspect of the VN. He is aware that something is not quite right with Chase (that being that Chase is possessed and his decisions are influenced by the Samulation. though Flynn doesn't know the specifics), the Samulation was adamant on fusing with Flynn specifically, the fact that Flynn is the Socket Man and as the entity is unbound by time and space, and much more.

He's so well written and so interesting to think about. Plus he can cook? Fucking love Flynn. I'd hang out with him.

• That's right. Your genius of a fiancee has created a robot clone of himself. Due to the brothers saving people worldwide now, he can't always be with you. So, he made you something that could protect you and make sure you aren't lonely. But, you weren't really taking to 'im.

• "Has it-"

• "He, Y/N. Use my pronouns."

• You rolled your eyes.

• "Has HE been tested already."

• He revealed the bot's "tested on brothers" seal.

• "Will he be robotic and scary, like movies?"

• "He's supposed to be me so... of course not."

• "You sure?"

• Donatello sighed. Convincing you is taking a lot longer than anticipated. Maybe he should try a different approach.

• He looked towards the door.

• That was indeed the wrong approach. You hopped on his arm, nearly pulling his lab coat off.

• "Don't leave me with this thing!"

• D sighed once again. Your stubbornness was your best yet worse quality. Time to initiate plan B. Bribery.

• "Hey, Y/N~"

• You looked up.

• "If you check him out, we can go to that one place you like so much."

• "...The toy coffin in the hidden city?"

• He nodded.

• "That's the one."

• After a moment of silence, you got down from his bicep. Begrudgingly, you approached his invention. You looked down at it's hand. 'Hold for 3 seconds' a button said. You took a breath and did as instructed.

• A little techno jingle played and slowly the clones eyes opened. Glowing purple pupils fell on you. You looked back at your Donnie, hoping for some guidance. But instead, he waved, pressing you to continue with his creation.

• "What is your name?"

• It said, startling you. (Huh, it's teeth glow for it's speech) You looked around and cleared your throat.

• "Y/N L/N. Although my last name will change to Hamato soon."

• It silently processed your words. In a instant, the robot's ENTIRE demeanor changed. It straightened out it's coat and fastened it's mask. After checking the time, updating and other stuff, the clone's attention was back on you.

• "Salutations, Y/N,"

• It took your hand.

• "I am Donnie 0, your home AI."

• You didn't know what to say. This robot was frickin SPOT-ON. The exaggerated vocabulary. The soft tone that was only reserved for you. AND, the natural swagger.

• "Isn't he magnificent!?"

• Donnie shouted, wrapping his arms up your neck. You nodded. (Although you're still admittingly a little skeptical.)

• "I put my ALL into him!"

• He slid next to his creation.

• "Note the chiseled features,"

• "The super strength,"

• "And my favorite part, the clean paint job."

• Just like any other time he showed off an invention, you clapped. That paint job is really good. He looked just like D is he was dipped in a tub of glitter. (Mikey probably did that) Your fiancee snickered and pointed, silently asking you to look at the robot.

• "Would you like to take me for a test run, Y/N?"

• Donnie 0 asked you. You squeaked and looked down at your feet. Um...(Why'd he ask you like that?) You shook your head quickly.

• "No thanks, I got work anyway so..."

• Your words faded when BOTH Donatello's grabbed your hands.

• "No you don't, you have the night shift today."

• "Let's spend some time together, shall we?"

• They both said in unison. Your cheeks burned. This is, um... Both of them smirked at each other. This is a terrific plan!

• An experimental week later...

• "Leo, be careful with that!"

• "What? Putting your little gizmos in the tank by portal saves a ton of time."

• You snickered. That's true. Working smarter and not harder is efficient. Unfortunately, D doesn't feel the same. He grumbled and tapped away on his wrist thing. (Tech gauntlet.)

• "If you want something done, you gotta do it yourself."

• His cargo grew some wheels and rolled in a straight line to the tank. (Although it's more of a deluxe trailer now. Don't let Donnie hear you say that though!) Do it himself, huh? You chuckled and tugged on his sleeve.

• "So how long is it gonna be this time?"

• He thought for a moment.

• "2 months if we're lucky, otherwise..."

• Probbles longer. You're a little sad, but it won't be too bad. Donnie's gonna facetime you everyday (even in battle) and you got an artificial intelligence version of him too. Although, not being kissed will eventually put a hole in your heart.

• "Looks like the tech is almost done."

• You mumbled. D looked over at you. He's doing that dreamy stare thing again. That's it, you're crying. You jumped on him, clinging to him like a sloth.

• "Oh Donnie, don't go!"

• Now it's his turn for the water works.

• The other brothers watched as the two of you hugged and blubbered incoherent stuff. Leo snorted, a laugh was waiting in his chest.

• Leo sighed dramatically. Both you AND Donnie kicked him at the same time. (Although, your kick wasn't nearly as hard as your fiancee's.)

• Raph shouted. (He brought the hug in the air) You chuckled.

• "Looking forward to it."

• Silence. And...everyone started crying. 2 months is a long time. After 30 minutes of telling one another how much you'll miss each other, they finally loaded in the tank. But, not before Donatello gave you a kiss that could make your heart stop from lack of oxygen. You watched silently as the most interesting in your life people drove away. But at least this time, you both get a new adventure. You tapped your new "watch".

• Activating Donnie 0.

• Living with your new man bot, was a little awkward at first, but you got in swing pretty fast. It was like the sleepovers you had with his live action. He would go shopping with you. Visit the hidden city with you. (Nowadays, it's more like the exposed city. Humans and Yokai exist in peace now.) And overall just spent your everyday life with you.

• It's nice. Kinda made you wonder if this is what your life would've been, if your Donnie wasn't a world wide secret ninja... Eh, no use crying over it now. When you're fiancee returns, he's staying for a year. But what will become of your ai then...

• Day 24 (one month nearly down)

• "Donnie 0, I'm home!"

• You called from the door. As usual, your bot hovered from your room. (He's not a walker, just like his creator.)

• "Greetings, Y/N,"

• He said, with a bow.

• "Did you have a good day at work, darling?"

• He asked as he pulled your coat off. You couldn't help but giggle like a minor. You loved that D added your pet names to 'im. Made him alot more lifelike.

• "It was okay, I finally turned in my report."

• The handsome robot hung up your jacket as you rambled on about your day. He also has your iced coffee and your dinner waiting in the fridge. And is FULL ON ready to give you a massage. Just say the word.

• "How was your day, Donnie 0?"

• His heart drive sparked. There you go again, wondering about he's doing.

• "It was fine. I just shined the house and charged all day."

• He replied, trying to sound chill. You chuckled and shook your head.

• "I keep telling you,"

• You looked over at him.

• "If you stay on the charger too long, you won't be able to run without it."

• (Little fact you learned from D when you guys were teens) Once again, his heart drive sparked. This time it lasted for a few minutes. You kicked off your shoes and stretched, completely unaware how your affecting this AI.

• "I'm gonna take a shower,"

• "Could you call April for me and see if she's home? I gotta tell her about the awful Lu jutsu adaptation."

• Donnie 0 nodded

• "Yes, ma'am, consider it done."

• He replied smoothly. You smiled and disappeared into your room. And...your door is closed. The robot swooned. You're so perfect. Beautiful, smart, and funny! And with just a touch of flaws. That checks all his all his boxes! But, alas, you're in love with his creator. The one who gave him life and the opportunity to even meet you. Mecha Donnie sighed and grabbed your phone. Maybe fulfilling your request, will take his mind off of this.

• As he scrolled through the contacts, he stumbled across a voicemail. It from your real beloved. Being naturally nosy, he tapped it. Images flew from the phone, swirling around the room. It was quite a sight. (Although, he was sure he could conjure something better.) Slowly, the pictures came together, forming the real Donatello. In a rather disheveled ninja uniform.

• "Japan hasn't been kind."

• Donnie 0 mumbled, shaking his head

• "Hello, Y/N."

• The hologram purred, while stretching dramatically. This was for you alright.

• "Just checking in to see if you're okay and I have some good news."

• The robot raised his steel eyebrow. News and he wasn't notified?

• "Drum roll please,"

• The camera was turned to his brothers. Everyone "drummed" dramatically.

• "Your hero is coming home early!"

• The robot's heart drive crackled. But, not in a good way. Coming home early!?

• "Give me a week, dearest. And Japan's biggest threat will be vanquished."

• Donatello said with a warm smile.

• "And Donnie will stop crying into his pillow!"

• Mikey shouted from the background. (The Ai couldn't tell if he was being malicious or just dreadfully honest.)

• "Thank you for bringing up painful memories, Michael."

• He said, stiffly.

• "Anywhiz, I love you. Let's facetime tonight."

• He said a few other words his creation would've rather not of heard and finally signed off. Donnie 0 stood there in silence. In a week, the paradise he was living would be gone. He's VERY sure he won't be scrapped, he's the greatest robot ever created. But, going on without you...he might as well be.

• Think, Donnie, think.

• I'm best AI on the planet.

• How can I prevent the end?

• ...Eureka! Your voice! He can use a audio file of it and keep his original away. Maybe even break you two up eventually. Yeah. This is a great plan. His finger opened, revealing a audio cable. He plugs into your phone.

• "I wanna spend a little more time with my fiancee."

Rise of the TMNT: Future Study... Kinda

(( about this dude and the messy future reference in the movie ))

-- Someone made a post about the picture Casey had and how it didn't match up from Casey going to the day the war started, how the Kraang was fast to take over, so on so forth. If you don't know what I'm talking about... I kinda forgot who made that post and didn't like it BUT! I have another thing that tripped me up while watching the movie (( that IDK if someone has pointed out. )) Let's go to the time right after Raph got captured by the Kraang.

-- Leo and Casey have a back and forth, Leo is clearly upset by Raph being captured and fears what could happen to Raph if he doesn't get rescued, clearly understanding how harmful the Kraang can be now (( since he had a near death experience and they hurt Raph -- Raph the brother seen as strong, sweet, and overall invincible { similar to how a child thinks of their parent / parents at a young age} ))

-- As all the same Casey is just focused on making sure the world and Leo survives and doesn't have to go through the hardship that he has to go through. (( clearly the highest important person to him due to seeing -- or at least being told as a kid -- the other brothers die and not having a connected relationship to )) In the moment Casey is also distressed over the fact that he FAILED the only mission he was given from the person he adored. To Casey he needed to complete the mission, not only to save the entire world from complete distortion but to him it was some sort of last task to do so Future Leonardo could rest in peace, knowing that everyone is fine.

-- Whenever Casey was presented with the object he wanted to get, Casey was relieved not thinking about how Raph would be in danger. As soon as Casey said "Nice" (( clearly being an apathetic thought at first )) Leo starts to go off how it's not "fine" or "nice" going over how they captured Raph, which caused Casey to rethink what he should be thinking of. At a stand point of silence Leo ALMOST realized something (( that would be considered completely wrong ))

-- He says "He's from the future, he knew this would happen" (( referencing that Casey is at blame for the events that happened and completely at fault for not warning them ))

-- To this Casey responds with "I didn't know this would happen, it didn't happen in my time." --

-- Let's take a step back. Casey is about the age of Leo and Donnie, (( sixteen years old )) and in the future Leo was thirty / forty before he died. Getting those ages Casey would've been alive when Leo was about twenty something years old. He wouldn't know about what happened the day of the invasion (( unless someone explained it to him -- which to the story the resistance told kids how the sky ripped open and started chaos, no one went into detail about what actually happened, or the whole day was fuzzy, some sort of forgotten memory as a way to survive the war at hand. ))

-- That scene is confusing, being that someone remembering what happened on the day of the invasion being next to nothing and how Casey knew what happened that day without even being a thought in someone's brain yet. He was an UNBORN, literally.

-- From that scene and on they went through an entire trauma enhanced movie and at the end, everyone got the good old cold glass of "here's-some-trauma-that-will-never-go-away-and-affect-your-entire-life-at-every-hour-of-your-living-breath"... So refreshing... That's all that I wanted to go over for now... I WILL be back to hyper analyze some more scenes, but for now I'ma run off and go into a coma.

My Charmed (1998) Hot Takes

*Spoilers* (Even Though It’s Been 25 Years- Just Saying)

1. Prue was overpowered

I know that Prue is the oldest and the oldest sister is supposed to be the most powerful, but the development of their powers was just very all over the place with how fast they learned to use them. Prue seemed to master her powers exponentially faster than the other sisters.

For example in the very first episode Prue moves cream from a cup into her coffee. This is moments after she finds out about her powers- yet it takes Paige an extended amount of time before she is able to orb liquids even though she and Prue have basically the same power (and due to the yelling and orbing aspect of Paige’s power it seems like it should have been easier).

There’s also the episode of ‘Secrets and Guys’ in the FIRST SEASON where we see Prue cleaning with her powers and controlling multiple different tools at one time without difficulty- she is literally talking to Phoebe and Piper and is preoccupied and is still able to do this.

Before we even reach the end of the first season Prue has already discovered her ability to control her powers through her hands as well as her eyes. And by the 9th episode of the second season she discovers she can astral project. Which she is already capable of doing intentionally within a few episodes- even though she can’t do it while awake (until episode 5 of season 3).

While the sisters did all develop their powers well I feel like in terms of weaknesses they did not really give Prue that many. There was the whole thing with her being prideful but as a whole her powers didn’t seem to have any bounds after a certain point.

The only time we really see her powers not working well is when there is something blocking their powers all together. Vs with Piper things don’t stay frozen forever, she can only freeze inside a certain range, her freezes can be fought through, etc.

And obviously Phoebe didn’t have an active power until she developed the ability to levitate.

Idk feel free to disagree but I feel that Prue was a little overpowered

2. Cole Deserved a Redemption Arc

Don’t get me wrong I’m not excusing Cole’s behavior in the later seasons. However I do wish that the Cole storyline had gone slightly different and that Phoebe and Cole ended up together.

I personally never was able to get into the Coop storyline- it felt very unemotional to me. And it may have been because Cole was around much longer.

“But Cole was evil! He never changed!”

I beg to differ, up until around the last season he was on the show almost everything that kept Cole evil was out of his control.

He tried to give up his powers originally but was tricked into killing a witch (or he was possessed, I don’t remember). He never wanted to become the source, he was manipulated by The Seer. And even after the source took over we still see Cole inside fighting to be good like when he saves Paige.

And he even tried AGAIN to give up the powers of The Source but Phoebe was manipulated into stopping him.

He genuinely was trying to be good so often and I feel like a lot of it was just that he was dealt a shitty hand.

I think that up until the point where he clearly stopped caring about Phoebe’s wellbeing (like when he is willing to let Paige die and keep Phoebe mummified) he deserved a redemption arc and I wish he had gotten one,

However I think the storyline was ended due to Julian wanting to leave the show and not because of the writers.

(Also I just loved Cole as a character and I cry every time they vanquish him in the apartment)

3. I Didn’t Like Dan

This one is short and sweet

I didn’t like Dan

He’s not an asshole, He was super good to Piper

I just didn’t like him 🤷🏻‍♀️

4. Leo and Piper Shouldn’t Have Gotten Back Together

This one is going to sound kind of hypocritical after the Cole take but I feel like after Leo left to become an elder he and Piper shouldn’t have gotten back together.

Like you’re telling me after all the shit you two went through to be together you’re going to just fuck off to become an elder????

And this is never fully explained honestly; it’s just that “oh it’s not that simple it’s not my choice.” But they never really explained WHY it just seemed like a stupid excuse.

And honestly after all of that shit I know they wouldn’t have had time to give Piper another love interest (which she deserved) and I loved Chris but idk I feel like Piper and Leo shouldn’t have gotten back together-

They can keep Leo around but I don’t think after all of that shit that they should have ended up together

5. Billie and Christy Should Have Had a Different Ending

This is a one or the other kind of thing.

I think Christy should have gotten a redemption arc OR they should have given Billie a bigger corruption arc and killed them both.

I don’t think the ending was BAD I think it was tragic that Billie lost her sister after trying so hard to find her and finding out that she wasn’t who she used to be which made for a good plot point-

But I feel like if they had had more time and things were written a little differently I would have liked to see Christy eventually get redeemed (I mean the girl was brainwashed by the Triad from the time she was a kid cut her some slack). But I know there wasn’t really enough time for that.

However the other option is I think to stick with the strong sisterly love thing that Billie should have had a bigger corruption arc and went down with her sister- or at the very least accidentally died with her or refused to leave her or something.

Contextualizing aspects in synastry

I've read a lot—quite a lot—about textbook interpretations for certain synastry aspects. A lot about Sun conjunct Moon, Moon conjunct Mars, Moon conjunct Venus, etc. Of course, there's nothing wrong with it, although something irks me with how this information is presented: it's cherry-picked. When looking at synastry, you have to look at the individual charts first and the significance of each planet (positive or negative) concerning the rest of the chart.

I'll give you an example: Mars conjunct Moon is an exquisite aspect for attraction in synastry and composite, especially if at angular houses and if it occurs in a tight aspect. However, you have to examine the relevance and influence of each planet with respect to the rest of the individual charts.

If the Moon person has a natal T-square involving the Moon, Mars, and Uranus, with Moon at the apex, a Mars conjunct their Moon would also mean a synastry aspect of Mars square Mars, and Mars square Uranus. All of these aspects may point to a fantastic initial reaction that very quickly turns into intense aversion toward each other due to the overflow of energy.

Another thing to examine when looking at relational astrology is the tendency of the individual to react according to the aspect. A Virgo Moon-Mars synastry conjunction is different from a Leo Moon-Mars conjunction. Virgoans are known to be quite reserved when in pursuit, as opposed to fiery Leos in love.

Separately, a person with a natal chart full of squares may be comfortable with a Venus square Uranus combo as opposed to a person with a natal chart full of trines and sextiles.

Last but not least, add the factor of growth and character through time; say, "how much did this person develop that they have already overcome the challenges in their natal chart?" You would be surprised to know how far individuals with Grand Squares have evolved through the challenges life casually throws at them.

Truly, astrology is just a guide. There are people with whom you will have the worst, sound, and best synastry and composite, but ultimately, maturity and commitment will trump any adverse aspects, however many those may be.

- You guys found a happy middle when it comes to lovey dovey stuff and it works great for you both.

- Thinks it’s actually really adorable when you ask to cuddle with a straight face.

- Willing to fight anyone who makes an off handed comment about how you don’t show much emotion.

MIKEY

- Has more than enough expressiveness for the both of you combined.

- Makes it his mission to get at least a smile outta you.

- Head over heels for you when you laugh at his jokes, like “Ha Ha, that’s a good one Mikey.” And there’s just no expression on your face.

- But what you lack for in emotional affection, you make up for with physical affection.

- Mikey loves your hugs, like borderline obsessed with your hugs.

- He’s always looking forward to the next time he can test out a new joke or pickup line on you.

DONNIE

- He’s very curious at first, and asks a bunch of questions.

- I headcannon that Donnie is also on the autism spectrum.

- Totally content with you not being super expressive with your feelings.

- Still though, he’s very happy that you even consider telling him that you love him.

- Will have the biggest smile while you thank him for a gadget he made you.

- Constantly reminds you that you don’t have to be emotionally expressive for him to know how much you love him.

Percy is a great protagonist, but

his flaws are never really acknowledged in a way that makes sense. Whenever he’s depicted as less than perfect, it completely backfires and portrays him as admirable. The three main instances of this are

When his “fatal flaw” is revealed

When Calypso is left on Ogygia

When he nearly drowns Akhyls in her own poison

Starting with number 1, he has the most flattering “flaw” ever. He’s just too loyal, too compassionate, too empathetic and selfless to even consider letting someone die. This is a much more desirable weakness than something like pride, and also doesn’t even really ever come into play. Plenty of his friends have died, despite his best efforts, namely Bob and Leo, and those deaths didn’t even prove to be permanent.

Granted, some deaths such as Bianca’s and Leo’s he could not have prevented, but in the case of Bob he should have if his flaw is to be believed. He could have forced Bob into the Door of Death/elevator and stayed behind to push the button, but he didn’t. Obviously it wouldn’t have worked out well if it did, but that’s the entire point. He’s supposed to be willing to sacrifice the entire world to save one friend. The fact that he didn’t can be counted as character growth, but that just means he’s outgrown all of his faults, further reinforcing the point. And of course, he’s never not saved the world, so there’s that.

Onto no.2, there’s nothing he could have done about Calypso. The Olympians swore on the River Styx to free her, so he assumed they followed through. Obviously they didn’t, but he didn’t know that or think to check, probably because he was dating Annabeth and therefore not thinking about the other beautiful girl who fell in love with them.

Even if he had, what was he to do? He could’t force the Olympians to keep their word; he was already on shaky terms with them due to refusing the immortality offer and wounding their pride. He probably would have ended up as a pile of ash, with Calypso still stranded on Ogygia.

Once again, this supposed negative thing just paints him in a more favorable light as he accepts full responsibly and repents for Calypso’s predicament even though he didn’t need to. Leo, who he’s discussing this with, even points out how difficult Percy is to hate because he’s always such a great guy.

Finally, no.3: drowning Akhyls was a completely reasonable course of action. Call me heartless, but when someone tries to kill you and your loved one solely because you’re demigods, meaning that she will absolutely go on to kill more demigods, it’s reasonable to want her dead. Percy’s mercy meant that she could possibly pursue them, that she could possibly sell them out and get others to pursue them. It’s the logical thing to do to get her out of the way.

Not that he could, of course. She was immortal, yet another reason why Percy’s actions aren’t that terrible. The pain she felt was nothing compared to what she’s inflicted for millennia, and lasted an insignificant amount of time in her immortal lifespan.

Percy’s ruthlessness most likely saved both of their lives by sending a message to Akyhls.

This all isn’t to say that Percy is entirely perfect. It’s more to point out that the flaws of his that are acknowledged aren’t his actual misdoings. And to nobody’s surprise, these wrongs are related to Nico di Angelo.

Watching the scenes where Mr Satan and Buu bond on Kai and. Gajeicnc. Akskdjsjw......

1. Mr Satan has a silver tongue and a heart of gold. He is so full of precious metals. Becasue he is precious 💛

2. Yes it's a rat-like thing to parade in there like hes gonna beat him up, and then just become his poopboy servantboy. But we can all see how the situation called for No Alternative.

3. BUT THE WORLD NEEDED A HERO ... and THAT'S the hero it needed..!! It couldnt have a hero who could take out Majin Buu. So the next best thing was someone who could tame Majin Buu. It looks snakelike becasue it is - BUT THAT'S THE HERO THAT THE WORLD NEEDED!!! He isnt doing it the way he said he would, but Mr Satan IS saving the world!!!

4. But here is what is so remarkable... Mr Satan has the softest most golden heart. He couldn't blow up Majin Buu and the dog. Detonating the dynamite would have done nothing of course, but he thought it would have done something, and he couldnt justify blowing up the scene. It's not right to hurt a puppy. And they looked so peaceful together. You could call him a coward, or say he has a weak constitution. But in the most dire of circumstance, he shined with the most courageous and valuable thing ... An inclination for peace and joy. He couldn't break that up. Two wrongs dont make a right.

5. Mr Satan isnt all cowardly. He has a list of shortcomings, and most of them come to rise when hes wrapped up in the vice of his cape - hes king Leo The Lion and he gets carried away. But he is still a just man. When those two random button-pushers came and shot the dog, Mr Satan went over there and took them out himself. He spat on the ground. "You make me sick." He knows the difference between a senseless fight and a just one. Violence will only solve what it wroughts, as in, it is useful only in defense. It's a crime against nature to abuse and kill; and it's a further crime against nature to not give that force its due push-back. Actions have consequences. Goodness isnt for those who cant be touched by its meaning. Attacking those guys was the only appropriate recourse, and Mr Satan knew that. He had just told Majin Buu to stop destroying, and he didnt see his own violence as a contradiction to that - becasue it wasnt.

6. MR SATAN IS THE BRAVEST MAN ON EARTH: he took a look at the beast who was responsible for the death of 80% of the world's population at this point, and he had the courage and strength to EXTEND UNDERSTANDING AND COMPASSION. Call it Stockholm, call it a desperation for hope, CALL IT IDIOCY, but just as well you can call it bravery. He saw how Buu had been misled by his creators, and he saw his potential for good, and he didnt shy away from that. It has horribly difficult moral implications, but Mr Satan didnt tie himself up in the feckless philosophy - he saw good and he stuck to that with conviction. End of story. That's all that matters. Mr Satan is the type of character who can be stubborn, regressive, and foolishly blind, but when the world needed him most, he answered to love.

Maybe hes shallow, or afraid, or cowardly, or delusional - but he's also exceptionally resilient to show up to this with empathy and a soft heart.

This is why he is the best dragon ball character ....
