behold?? my full interpretation on all of the main factors of CCCC!! I don't know what compelled me to write all this but here we are. (whoops this got LONGG)

[disclaimer that this is my own interpretation and, while I take alot from canon, some of it will be closer to the fanon side of things. ]

[disclaimer 2 that I get all writery in certain parts and essentially write "from the characters' perspective" so those bits aren't MY OWN opinions, it's what I think they would feel about certain things C:]

[disclaimer 3 that alot of this is me stating the obvious, aswell as making them out to seem quite horrible, I promise I love them all and while they do have many flaws, they have good moments too </3 uhh ok yeah don't kill me with rocks pls]

Heart

• first of all: Heart has a huge victim complex. whether intentionally or not, he will always play the victim- he can get quite emotionally manipulative in this sense too. It can never be his fault- "he was provoked" "the other deserved it" "the other started it" "I'm innocent I'm innocent I'm innocent."

• he *can be* immature. now this word gets thrown around alot by Mind but i think he's 'immature' not in the sense that he throws tantrums and can't be trusted and has nothing of importance to say like Mind thinks. he is in the way that he refuses to listen to others, refuses to take the blame, and can also be quite petty and has a tendency to blow up (sound familiar? yeah. Minds immature too, we love Heart Mind parallels).

• he is spiteful and impulsive, but can you blame him? he's constantly being belittled and fought against; of course he's gonna take any chance he can to get back at Mind- to show him how it feels- to make him finally *listen*.

• Heart constantly feels like no one listens to him, that he is the disregarded part bcus he's "uncontrollable and unruly". this obviously forms alot of built up resentment because no one is taking him seriously. I think he can switch alot between "I need to prove that I'm just as good as Mind, I'll show them." and "they're right, I'm violent and impulsive and I'm ruining our chances of becoming Whole.". as you'd expect- his mood swings are wild.

• he is Inherently violent and impulsive. nothing is premeditated- if he's angry, he'll act on it. he'll say and do whatever he thinks will get him out of a situation or will make the other person listen.

• just the same as Mind- he is under the full impression that his opinions on how Whole should be are correct. And of course there is truth in that, emotions are a necessary part of existence, but just like Mind, he doesn't understand the need for his other half's part aswell.

• I think he very much wallows in his depression. he finds it difficult not to, but when he's bad- he's bad. he takes after Whole in that sense. he will be selfish and cruel and will isolate. he will spend all his time in his room and will be significantly more vile to Mind. he gets very caught up in his own emotions and depression, which just enhances it. (that is until things start being better and they're on their way to concord ofc, they all start helping eachother and themselves again) (this sounds mean I promise I love him, sadly I love projecting onto him more)

• there's alot of negatives here for him being my favourite character but trust me he can be good too. He's excellent at comfort, he knows just how to make someone feel better when they need it. He's empathetic, he can read people's emotions with ease and because of this-is able to understand them. Every fight with Mind- he feels his anger and frustration just as much as his own, he knows Mind gets just as riled up as him when tipped over the edge. The same goes with Soul, he can feel Soul's anger like a looming threat when their fights escalate too far. He can feel Soul's guilt and and how he relishes in the control despite it. That is to say- Heart can be kind and caring too, when it counts. he's the love AND the hate; it just so happens that he's got ALOTT of things to be mad about in his life </3

Mind

• Mind is astronomically emotionally repressed, it is a problem. he views emotions as something that holds him and everyone back from rational thinking and being at their optimal performance levels. he doesn't allow himself to get caught up in emotions (this of course is a lie, and excludes his petty outbursts at Heart, those don't count).

• ^ so much to the point that he 'removes himself of everything humane and emotional' by replacing himself with mechanical parts. no I don't think that's canon but I love this headcanon and I will die on this hill.

• though he would deny it: he is very petty, and does enjoy provoking Heart whenever given the chance. (which of course Heart does aswell)

• he is a 'control freak' to his core. though it comes off as tyrannical, he truly does think he knows what's best for the Whole, and that's why he's so adamant on being the ruler. logic is straightforward, logic can be easily worked through and used to make optimal decisions, thinking clearly avoids all possible bad situations. logic is his mainstay, his rock. (If he were to let in the flood of repressed emotion, he wouldn't be able to handle it all, and would lose hold of his mainstay whilst desperately trying to stay grasped onto it. he would be scared and lost in it all without a way back up.)

• he hides behind his apathetic facade but he *does* feel and he *does* get angry and upset and scared- and he hates himself for it. he can't be seen as vulnerable, as weak. I don't think he even knows *how* to deal with emotions either. he's spent so much time shoving them down that when they finally all come back up, he genuinly doesn't know what to do, he panics, unable to use logic in a situation like this.

• he is stubborn as all hell.

• he is Whole's ego. he doesn't think he's ever good enough and yet pretends he's the best; he believes he's the best too- contradictory I know, they're all hypocrites /lh.

• despite all these sympathisable things, he *is* cold and he *is* cruel at times. just like Heart, he has his reasons, but that doesn't make his actions justified. (make up already you guys suck!!!!)

Soul

• sigghhh identity issues x1000; he doesn't know who he is or what he's meant to be. he isn't a real person, and what's worse, he isn't *Whole*.

• I think so much of his character is based around Whole rather than him being much of his own person. his identity is a mimicry of Whole, botched together to make the imperfect Self, always wrong, never perfect enough. he has spent his whole existence working towards becoming someone else that he's never once thought to make an identity of his own- it's all for Whole, he would be nothing without him.

• he does not want to have to hurt the other two but in the end, that's all they'll listen to. he mimics power and control. he doesn't want to hurt them- but what else does he have if not power over these two? he has no control over the loops, no power against Whole, he can't do anything to stop this in the grand scheme, so he exerts control in the only way he can. he (tries to) keeps them in line. there is a large amount of guilt around that though.

• he's actually a very guilty person in general, his existence is merely the happenstance of dissonance; he and the others are born from it. he is the hubris of his Whole's misery- how could he not feel guilty about his every motion and thought, his existence itself is made from anguish {his Whole's anguish}.

• he yearns for non-existence and existence simultaneously; he contradicts himself. he wants to be Whole, but at the same time he wants to co-exist with him, happily.

• overall he is tired, he is very very tired. he doesn't have much left in him and he'll do whatever is necessary to just make it *stop* at this point. I think even after cacophony ends and the fighting finally stops, he's still on edge. he flinches at every little sound and raised voice. he wakes up in the middle of the night thinking he heard the other two arguing again, he has nightmares. he's very paranoid at all times.

• during cacophony I feel like Heart and Mind are defintely dehumanised by him. whether subconsciously or not. they become the ids, rather than his fellow thirds. they're a problem he needs to fix, parasites he needs to be rid of. he wants to get along and trust them, truly, but he never can.

• touch starved. this needs no elaboration.

• he worships Whole, devotes himself to him. he thinks of him like a god, something holy and perfect and completely out of his reach. his whole identity and existence is built around becoming him, this places Whole as the epitome of perfection. he wishes he was able to be close to Whole, to know him- but that's impossible, and he thinks if he ever even got the chance to brush their hands together his body would explode at the heat of his divine touch. yeah listen to this freak, please be normal for once in your life Soul.

Whole

(disclaimer: this is the character Whole and is in no way how I view CJ!! they are completely seperate thank yew) -

• my entire perception of Whole is mismatched ideas I've collected from mutuals but a large portion of his personality is from 'live the dream'. so, just picture that version of Whole mixed in with the weird codependent god relationship with Soul and that's my Whole 👍

• he is selfish and hypocritical at his core, he's almost as guilt-ridden as his Soul.

• he knows he does bad things, to himself and others. he hates it, he regrets it, he feels guilty for it- but he will always come back and do it again.

• he lacks barely any form of self love- of course this is going to make it difficult for him to sympathise and love his little blots- *parts of himself*.

• he is (of course) suicidal, alot of his (self proclaimed) 'selfishness' stems from this; he can't help it but its true. he's spent so long only looking out for himself, in isolation, believing that everything he does is pointless- his actions are gonna be selfish, whether he likes it or not. hence- the loop; he continues to repeat it.

• he is a chronic liar, he lies to himself, he lies to HMS, he lies to his friends. sometimes harmlessly, sometimes Very Much Not. there are times he's sworn he won't restart the loop and believed it, but of course that never lasted very long.

• he's not good at maintaining relationships- with anyone. this is why he struggles so much with Soul's unwavering devotion to him. not only does he feel like he's not putting into their relationship as much as Soul is, but he also lives in constant fear that *it will end eventually*. Soul will realise what a bad person he is and abandon him, or he'll fuck something up on his own.

• Whole has religious trauma (two wuv), and because of this he is very uncomfortable with Soul's worshipping of him.

• despite this, he still leans into it; no one's ever adored him this fervently, without hesitation, he can't help but enjoy it at least a little. both him and Soul are touch starved as hell so, it's *alot*. It's easier when they're in the loops, when he's separated from them all, from their resentment and their love. he doesn't think he deserves anything but what he thinks of himself. so Soul's unwavering love and devotion throws him off, but who would he be to refuse such a scarce thing in his life?

The Juno Incident

• ok!! I like lot's of different interpretations of the Juno incident honestly, though the ones that align best with what I think happened are these:

• Heart missed, literally. his bullet did not hit Mind. I believe he had low vision (just like me fr!!) before being blinded fully after TJI and this of course made aiming difficult.

• ALTERNATIVELY, he *did* shoot Mind, and the bullet *did* hit. Whether that was in the throat or some other place idrk, it fluctuates.

• In both instances, I think it went like this: after Heart's shot, Mind was shocked, he was scared, ESPECIALLY if the bullet did actually hit. I think in that moment, he did not have his logic to rely on, emotion- shock, fear, betrayal, anger- all of it, took over. he probably couldn't move for a few *very long, agonising* minutes, he was shaking, he was trying to organise his thoughts to best approach the situation and *couldn't*. his smug demeanour was finally broken down and in that moment he was truly *weak* (which he resents both himself and Heart for every day).

• meanwhile Heart very quickly flips from seething hatred and anger to regret, he's a sobbing mess. he's also scared- partly for Mind (if the bullet hit), but mainly for himself, mainly of *Soul* and what the consequences will be. he starts hysterically apologising, not to anyone in particular, just whoever will listen. he immediately goes into defence mode- victim mode.

• when Soul gets to the scene it's a mix of emotions. he's mad, mostly, but also feels betrayed- this is going to impact Whole, this is a setback we can't come back from, how could they do this? but of course the first thing he has to do is help, mediate, punish- as always.

• when it comes to whether or not Soul blinded Heart, I'm not sure. I enjoy the interpretations where he does, but also the ones that don't. but I firmly believe that it was majorly Heart's doing (self inflicted whilst in Apathy which I'll elaborate more on soon).

• Soul still punishes Heart obviously. after realising that Heart isn't the one that's been hurt here, and is crying crocodile tears, he quickly makes his way to Mind, who is still trying to regain his composure. Heart is obviously still screaming and wailing, and Soul now has the full picture of what happened, he tears into Heart. he yells at him about how he's betrayed them, betrayed Whole, how he's broken everything. Heart just defends and defends, cries and cries, he doesn't want to face the consequences. Soul eventually sends him to Apathy, where he can't wreck anything else (except himself). This was maybe the first time they were all equally afraid of eachother. (It will happen again, and again, of course)

• after dealing with Heart, Soul tends to Mind, who is *very* averse to being looked after (he doesn't need his pity). But he is obviously Very Fucked Up and accepts the care anyway. cue weeks of recovery and PTSD.

Apathy

• Apathy is somewhere in headspace that no one knows how to get to, they just end up there when that is where they need to go. It's a long walk, or a short one; no one really knows when you end up underground, you just do.

• I picture it as something of a cave system but instead of rocks, it's made up of decay. It smells like dirt and rotting flesh, the walls squirm as if they were alive, the floors are covered in rotting vine-like things that crawl around you and pull you deeper into the pit. Its dark and agonising.

• Heart relies heavily on sound and touch, this place is a sensory nightmare for him to say the least. he can barely see, Apathy is unable to harbour sound, and everything around him makes him want to throw up.

• eventually his own actions, with the additional side effects of being somewhere so horrific all alone for so long- causes Heart to scratch out his eyes. I hc him as someone very prone to scratching and skin picking- it got a bit much here to say the least and that got taken out on his eyes.

• I imagine he was down there for at least a few weeks. at the max a little over a month. Soul is the one to come get him, Mind does not want to face him.

The Loop

• Whole purposefully restarts the loop. for quite awhile I stuck with the idea that the loop restarts itself, like when they start fighting again- as the cycle of depression does. and while I still believe that- I like Whole restarting it on purpose more :]. It gives not only the plot, but all of the characters so much more depth in my opinion. there's resentment, there's guilt, there's it's effects on relationships and relationships with oneself. It's just overall so horribly good.

• I mainly like the way things happen in 'live the dream'. as in: Whole gets tired of Being A Person, he doesn't want to exist anymore- so he sits down at his piano and begins his song to restart the loop; the loop that brings him to the peaceful realm of unconsciousness whilst his thirds go through hell once again. and when they finally reach concord, he's brought back to reality. and it repeats itself.

• regarding memories: Soul remembers the most, which isn't saying much but yk. his memories of the loop mainly consist of the main events (split, fighting, Juno incident, any other significant things). his memories aren't clear enough to ever prevent any of this though, he just has to live with the fact that he knows something bad is going to happen, and he can't do anything to stop it. even if he did manage to, the loop would find a way to make it happen anyway. (for example: he calms Heart down before he manages to shoot Mind. Soul thinks all is well but later that night he hears muffled yelling from one of the blots' rooms, he's annoyed for a moment- just another fight- until he hears a gunshot. It happened anyway, his efforts were fruitless.)

• Soul is aware they've been through many many loops. he doesn't know how many, but he knows they've been here for A Very Long Time. he's tired.

• Heart and Mind are..somewhat aware of the loop? I think during calamity and closer to concord they're able to remember better, but in the midst of cacophony, they might as well know nothing. the battle for control and constant warring prevents them from remembering they've been here before- and will be once more. It all feels familiar, they write it off as deja vu. alot of things happen because of their 'instincts', for example: Heart's first thought during The Fight with Mind is to grab the gun; he's never shot anyone before, so why'd the thought come up? well it's obviously the most efficient choice of action- it'll certainly get Mind to shut up and listen to you. <- and so the cycle repeats itself.

• on how many loops there have been. I think it comes and goes like the cycle of depression (obviously). I think they each last for a few months up to a year at a time, and concord lasts for roughly a few months aswell. however many of those fit into the time that Whole has been alive and struggling with depression is how many loops there have been.

— sakura realizes that he has fallen for you when he starts to think about you more often than usual, it was only a little at first, like your smiles and laughs but now full-on pictures/scenes pop up on his mind when thinking of you. for instance, he was going to bed but when he closes his eyes, the scene of you tending to his little cuts and bruises after a fight, suddenly appear on his mind. not only that, whenever your around his heartbeat races and his cheeks warm up, he also feels like he needs to run away — away from you.

he told his friends about this and they kept teasing him that he's really fallen head over heels for you, he denied these allegations but it definitely bothered him the whole day.

has he really for you? are you really the cause of these weird things he's feeling right now? while he was too focused thinking about these, you call to him by his first name “haruka!” making him almost jump out from his chair. his name has never sounded that good coming from someone, you sounded so happy when you said it too. he's flustered about this but gives you permission to keep calling by his first name, only you. your giggling with happiness as he said that, making him think that he really has fallen head over heels for you.

— suo has always been a on guard but he finds himself uncharacteristically letting his guard down around you. he was worried that he was getting too soft, or maybe it was because you're comfortable around, or that he's catching feelings for you? he's not sure. but these questions were answered when you both find each other at opposite sides of the pedestrian lane, the light was still green so you two just look at each other. you waved your arms while yelling his name, “suoo !!! ”, you had the biggest smile on your face and suo thinks that you're the most beautiful person in the world. he waves back with a soft smile on his face, ignoring the slight blush that forms on his cheeks. the idea of falling for you doesn't seem too bad.

— nirei realizes that he have fallen for you when you manage to remember everything he says, even the tiniest detail. it may look insignificant to others but it means a lot to nirei, he's always talking and most of the time — people tend to forget the things he says. but you on the other hand, remember everything about him, which can only mean that you pay attention and listen attentively to him.

you were chatting with nirei at the pothos café when you mentioned that you wanted to go thrifting at this store nirei mentioned, he was surprised that you remembered that because he only mentioned this once — and it was three months ago too. at this moment, nirei realizes that he has fallen for you. he gets excited about the idea of a thrift date so he happily accepts your offer to have him by your side.

Miguel doesn't even face you properly, face obstructed by his countless computer screens. Well, looks like this isn't even worth his damn time.

Sighing, you shuffle through your backpack, past the textbooks and random pens and trinkets before finding a crumpled sheet of paper that you pass to him. "...And can you tell me exactly what this means?" Miguel attempts to smoothen out the report to not much avail, and your unintelligible writing is... something for sure. "Well, so ya see—" What would've been your explanation was cut off by a loud rumble, originating from your stomach. GLRLGLRGLRLGLRGLRLGLR. "..."

After what could've been the most awkward silence in your life, Miguel finally breaks the ice with a question you didn't really have an answer to.

"When was the last time you've eaten?" "Um..." —Your stomach threatened to roar again— "Like, yesterday night..." "And do you know what time it is?" "....4 in the afternoon? "Ay, coño..." Miguel mutters to himself, as he presses two fingers to his forehead in disappointment.

"No, listen, it's just that I couldn't really eat because I had this biology thing that I had to finish today and I'm not really done with it yet and I hate bio and our teacher sucks and the anomalies too and—" "Okay, okay! I get it!" Your frantic attempts to defend yourself are then abruptly interrupted by the toss of a still-warm empanada container, along with a bottle of water stuck to it via spiderweb. Your eyes immediately brighten up at the sight of food, and your muscles tug into a smile at the man you were so fiercely defending yourself against two seconds ago. "Thank you, thank you!" When the hell did he get that and why save it for me? "Yeah, yeah. Just leave." Miguel spat out, a twinge of embarrassment showing through his features. As you waltz out the room, merienda* in hand, he watches you, not noticing the slight smile forming in his lips.

*merienda is like a snack you eat midway through the afternoon! since its 4pm i thought that was much more fitting than like dinner or something

I spent ages with my friend that really likes old fashion to come up with some clothing ideas for this, but the only thing that was really cemented was making a version of the Dark Arts outfit for Sebastian to wear to the ball, everything else was us skimming Pinterest while also looking at old excerpts of high-class 1890's fashion, which was rather strange because we went through dinner dresses, evening toilettes, ball-toilettes, the whole thing.       You practically sprinted down the halls as you weaved through the students, making your way to the common room. You halted as you reached the door, moving from one foot to the other as you said the password and waited for the door to open, excitement building in your gut as you saw Sebastian and Ominis on the other side. You shouted to them as you ran up, placing your hands on your knees as you tried to catch your breath. Sebastian looked down at you in confusion, frowning as you tried to speak. “Perhaps you should sit down, we don’t need you passing out before you tell us what’s on that mind of yours.” He said, gesturing to the couch. You watched Sebastian take a seat on your other side; confusion still etched in his face. “Dining Hall, I ran all the way over here!” You breathed, sighing as you fanned your face. Sebastian’s eyes widened, “The Dining Hall? What’s so important that you had to run up and tell us? I’m sure it could have waited.” You shook your head as you calmed your heart and fixed your breathing, sitting up and clenching your hands into fists.

      “They just released the theme for the Yule Ball!” You said excitedly, a wide smile dancing on your lips. Sebastian scoffed as he shook his head. “The theme to a dance is not that important, you know.” You huffed in response, ignoring Sebastian’s comment as you continued. “It’s House themed, meaning that you must dress according to your house! Meaning that we have to have green on.” Ominis nodded as he listened, hearing Sebastian let a sigh out. “Why should we care about a dance? And it’s two weeks away as well, you don’t to be in such a hurry.” Your face dropped as you listened to Sebastian, his pessimistic attitude dragging you down. Ominis heard the absence of your voice, and quickly tried to cheer you up. “Well, now you know what to look for when choosing a dress, right? There’s plenty of time to find the perfect one, not to mention getting it fitted.” You nodded, biting the inside of your cheek. “Right. That also means that the two of you need to find what you’ll be wearing as well.”

      A week had passed, and you sat with Ominis at the table as you ate, describing the dress to him. “I pick it up tomorrow, it should be fitted and ready by then.” You explained, and Ominis smiled. “I’m glad you found one to your liking.” You hummed in response, taking a bite of your food. “Off topic, but do you know what has gotten into Sebastian? He used to be so excited for the ball.” Ominis shook his head. Although he knew perfectly well why Sebastian was acting the way he did, it was none of Ominis’ business to get into the whole logistics. "I'm sure he’ll come around, though. Could have sworn I heard him talking about finding an outfit.” You let out a huff, shaking your head. “Speaking of, have you gotten your outfit then?” You asked, tilting your head as you watched Ominis nod. “My mother sent it by owl earlier today.” “I’d love to see it later, if you don’t mind?” “Of course.”

      Sebastian continued to be pessimistic about the Ball, claiming that the three of you had more important things to do instead, but you continued to shake him off. The next day, you took a trip to Hogsmeade with Natty and Poppy, in search of dresses. “What about this one?” Poppy asked, pointing to a cotton dress, one with low sleeves, one that would lay against the ground as you walked. You shook your head, “I’d trip on it, and it’ll get hot easy too.” The two nodded in agreement, walking around the shop in search of other dresses. Natty had already chosen one; sent over from her mother. Poppy was still looking but had her eye on a soft yellow dress that would reach her ankles with a subtle corset, white sleeves that reached just past her elbows accompanying it. You sighed as you looked through the different dresses, searching for one that would fit the theme while also allowing you room to breathe and feel comfortable. “Y/n! What about this dress?” Natty said, waving you and Poppy over to where she stood. Poppy gasped as she looked at the details, a smile reaching your lips as you examined it, feeling the soft fabric under your fingers. “It’s perfect!”

      You paced around the common room as you began to doubt yourself, muttering what ifs to Ominis as he sat in a seat, shaking his head at some of the things you said. “What if people think the dress is ugly? I’ll be laughed at the whole time, I couldn’t bear to go through that.” You said, earning another sigh from Ominis. “Your dress sounds beautiful, I’m sure everyone will like it.” You continued to pace, fiddling with your fingers as you thought up more worries. “Okay, then what if I step on someone? What would happen then?” “You worry too much.” A new voice said, and you turned your head to see Sebastian as he took a seat. You huffed in response, plopping into an empty chair as you sighed. “That’s easy for you to say, since you don’t even want to go.” Sebastian shrugged at your comment, a small smile touching his lips. “As a matter of fact, I will be going.” You scoffed, raising an eyebrow at him. “Really? And who would you be taking with you?” Sebastian shrugged, feeling his cheeks heat up slightly as he chose his next words. “I was thinking, you and I could go together, naturally.” Ominis dropped his head as he frowned. You sat there as you looked at Sebastian, a small frown forming as you bit the inside of your cheek. Sebastian watched the two of you, his own smile dropping as he felt the colour drain from his face. “What’s wrong? Did I say something?” You shook your head.

      “Sebastian I was already asked, last week.” You said softly, looking down at your hands. Sebastian furrowed his brows, his face switching between upset and confused. “What do you mean, you were already asked? Who asked you?” He said, his voice crackling slightly. You sighed, “Garreth Weasley.” Sebastian felt his heartbeat faster, cursing himself. “The Gryffindor? Why would you go with him? Why didn’t you let me ask you?” He stood up and began to pace, waiting for your answer. You stood as well, glaring at him. “You ask me, the night before the dance! You acted like you weren’t interested anyway! If I had waited, I may have been without a date!” Sebastian scoffed, shaking his head. “You have no patience, do you? You’d rather go with Weasley? Then go with him, why should I care?” With that, Sebastian turned and walked away, no doubt to his room. You sighed as you sat down next to Ominis, who stayed silent.

      “You heard how he acted, right?” You asked, laying your cheek into your palm. Ominis nodded as he sighed, “He did seem uninterested, but I suppose if you have a one-track mind like him, it’s easy to forget how time works.” You nodded, nudging Ominis’ shoulder with your own as you stood up. “I should retire then; I don’t feel like dealing with him when he comes back down to have another go.” Ominis waved you off, staying seated as he listened to the fire.

      You waited by the fountain in the courtyard, fiddling with the soft sleeves of your dress as you waited for Garreth. The sun had begun to set, meaning that the ball would start soon. You sighed as you listened to the water run behind you, looking down at your heels. Black shoes slowly replaced the empty spot in front of you, and you looked up and met Garreth, who smiled as he offered his hand. You smiled back, taking his hand as you took in his outfit. He wore a white button up, paired with a red waistcoat and gold tie, a black blazer and pants completing the look. You had to admit that he looked dashing, and watched how his hair moved lightly as a breeze blew by. “Shall we go, then?” Garreth asked, and you nodded, your hand still held in his as you left the courtyard and made your way down the halls. You passed by some of your friends, waving to Poppy and Natty as they smiled at you, Natty sending you a thumbs up, trying to calm your nerves. Garreth gestured for you to walk in first, bowing slightly as he smiled up at you. You smiled as a slight blush crept up to your cheeks at the gesture, walking in and taking his hand once again.

      Sebastian sat at a table, frowning. Ominis sat beside him, listening to him as he muttered about how stupid everything was, and criticizing everyone’s outfits. “It’s as if we’re the only ones with any sense of style here, look at us!” Ominis shook his head as he tried to tune Sebastian out, who had begun to talk about his own outfit that he “spent a lot of time looking for.” Sebastian wore a fitted white shirt, paired with a white ascot, which bore a green pendent in the center, with a long golden chain that hooked somewhere under the dark green waistcoat that sat under the black blazer, which was currently laying in a chair next to him. He looked down at his shoes, black to match his pants, and sighed. He listened to the chatter around him, recognizing some voices as he eavesdropped on their conversations. Ominis shook his head as he stood up, fixing up his own outfit, which was similar to Sebastian’s in colour, and excused himself. “Where are you going?” Sebastian asked, watching Ominis. “I’m off to get a drink and talk with some friends, perhaps you should do the same.” Ominis turned and left, disappearing into the crowd.

      You hovered near the drink with Garreth, taking a few sips as you watched people filter in. You smiled as Ominis came into view and walked over to you, greeting you and Garreth. “You look dashing in that, Ominis! You pull it off really well!” You complimented, handing him a drink. Garreth nodded, “It really suits you! I’m sure they’ll be flocking to you soon.” Ominis smiled as he accepted the drink from your hand, “Thank you. Though I might not be able to enjoy myself for too long, otherwise Sebastian may get lonely and upset.” You sighed as you shook your head. “He’s still pouting?” Ominis nodded. Garreth placed his drink down and took your hand, “How about we get a dance out of the way, and you can talk to your friend Sebastian? Maybe he could hang out with us.” You nodded as you said goodbye to Ominis, following Garreth.

      The tall boy stood before you as he placed a hand on your waist, earning a shy smile as you placed your hand on his shoulder. The two of you swayed to the music, smiling at some people as they spun by you. Garreth was gentle with you, but it appeared that he hadn’t taken any lessons for dancing, as he stepped on your toes every so often. You smiled as you brushed it off, mentally noting how bruised they would be in the morning. As the song ended, the two of you finished with a bow, smiling at each other. Leander walked over to the two of you, greeting you as he turned to Garreth, asking him if he wanted to hang out with some of the other Gryffindors. Garreth looked at you, seemingly asking if he was allowed, and you smiled and you waved him off, telling him to have fun.

      Without a date now, you walked around the large room, making small talk with some people as you passed by, searching for Ominis and Sebastian. You mumbled to yourself as you walked, thinking about how sore your feet would be the next day, yet thankful that it was the weekend as you made your way out of the crowd, spotting Ominis and Sebastian. You smiled as you looked at the details of Sebastian’s outfit, noticing the blazer that lay next to him, and walked over to sit next to him. Sebastian didn’t look up as he kept his head down, almost as if he was asleep, and you messed with his hair lightly. “Not now, can’t you see I’m busy?” He mumbled, shifting his head in his arms. You chuckled as you kept messing with it, “You can’t sit here forever, why not dance?” Sebastian scoffed as he turned away from you, exposing his back to you as he grumbled. “Don’t you have Garreth for that? Why not go dance with him?” You sighed, tracing your fingers down his spine in boredom. “He ditched me to go hang out with his friends, and Ominis said you might get lonely.” Ominis chuckled at the mention of his name, shaking his head. Sebastian shivered as you kept tracing his spin, quickly sitting up and turning to you.

      His eyes widened as you looked at you, your face seemingly glowing in the light as you smiled at him. He felt heat grow in his cheeks as he took in your outfit, the dark green bow that laid on your chest adorned with silver chains that hooked onto the ribbons, black beads scattered along the links. You placed your cheek into your palm, the soft white sleeves that clung to your wrists dropping slightly as the elastic wrapped around your skin, the frill falling into your arm. He looked back up at your face, unsure if he would be allowed to see the rest of your dress from where you sat. “Do you like it? I think it’s beautiful!” You said as you stood up, twirling around to show him. The white dress shirt buttoned down until it slipped under a dark green corset, wrapping around your middle as it transitioned into the dark green skirt, the top layer ruffled halfway to your knee as a dark sheer fell from under it, reaching your calf, the final layer a white frill, which ended just under the top layer. Your collar was frilled as well, matching your sleeves as they billowed as you twirled.

      “It’s very…lovely.” Was all Sebastian could say as you beamed at him, sitting down beside him once again. “I really love it, Poppy and Natty helped me find it.” Sebastian nodded as he continued to watch you, unsure if you were aware of the dark tint that covered his cheeks as you spoke. “Enough about the dress, though. I’ll be needing some ice when this is all over.” You said, reaching down and messing with your shoe, checking on your foot. Sebastian scoffed, breaking out of his trance. “Did your date step on them?” You pouted as you nodded, “It doesn’t hurt too much right now, but it’ll be a pain in the morning.” Sebastian shook his head as he looked to where everyone was dancing, sighing. “Guess you won’t be dancing anymore tonight.” “Absolutely not, I’m not passing this up!” You said, sending a playful glare at Sebastian, who only shrugged. “Good luck with that, then.” You huffed as you crossed your arms, watching people walk by.

      You stand, sending a smile to Sebastian as you begin to walk away. “Where are you going?” Sebastian asked, and you waved. “I’m going to dance with Amit! I’m sure he’ll be happy to dance with me!” You turned away and kept walking, hearing footsteps quickly approach you as Sebastian grabbed your arm. “Amit? Why would you dance with him?” He asked, and you shrugged. “Well, someone won’t dance with me, so I’m going to find someone else.” Sebastian sighed as his hand slid down your arm and took your hand, his face heating up as he slowly led you to where everyone was dancing. You smiled as you watched his flustered face, meeting together as you placed a hand on his shoulder and kept his hand in your own. Sebastian’s face grew hotter as he slowly placed his free hand on your waist, avoiding eye contact. You chuckled as you felt your own cheeks flush as he brought you closer, slowly beginning to dance.

      “I’ll try not to step on your toes, don’t need you in anymore pain.” Sebastian said as he watched his feet, carefully dancing around them. You hum in response, raising an eyebrow at him. “What?” You shake your head, smiling. “You seem really eager to dance with me now, for someone who didn’t want to be here.” Sebastian let out a soft chuckle as he shifted his hand on your waist, spinning you. He brought you back to him and lowered his head so he would whisper to you. “I was going to ask you to the Ball earlier, but I got scared.” You scoffed, “Scared? You? Of what?” Sebastian squeezed your hand and blew in your face in annoyance, causing you to laugh. “I figured; you might reject me. So, I pretended to not care.” You smiled softly as danced around Sebastian, hands still together and you waltzed. “So, you rejected yourself? Why would I reject you?” Sebastian shook his head, grabbing your waist again as the music slowed. “I don’t know. Nerves, maybe? There are plenty of other people here, I figured you’d prefer them.” You chuckled as you leaned your head onto his chest. “Why would I prefer anyone else over you? I’d rather you here with me instead.” Sebastian sighed, feeling his heartbeat faster, afraid you’d hear it. “Although, you took forever to ask. I was going to wait, but I’m glad we can end the ball as dates instead.” Sebastian smiled, looking down at you as you wrapped your arm around him, hugging him as you danced.

      “I’m glad we can dance together; this is rather nice.” Sebastian said, leaning his head onto yours. It felt as if you were the only two people left in the room, a small yet intimate moment shared between the two of you. You hummed in response, shift your head so you could look up at Sebastian. “We should do this more often.” Sebastian chuckled, raising a brow. “What, dance? Or would you rather just stay in my arms?” You placed a quick kiss on his chin, watching as his face lit up again. “Both, perhaps.” Sebastian stuttered as he looked into your eyes, biting the inside of his cheek. The song began to end, and he quickly led you into a dip, placing his own soft kiss to your lips. “Agreed then.”

      Poppy and Natty watched the pair, smiling. Ominis walked over with a drink in his hand, taking a sip. “Has anything interesting happened?” He asked. The two girls giggled, sharing smiles. “They’ve kissed twice now.” Natty said, Poppy clapping her hands together. “It’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.” Ominis nodded, grabbing a treat from the table behind them. “Maybe Sebastian will be quiet now.” He said, taking a bite.

I think Armand would rlly mf like mobile games 💀 like those really mundane repetitive sensory games, where u stack layers of cake or tap balls through hoops. He’d do that shit for like multiple days straight without getting bored 😭. I feel like the thing Armand would be most enamored by with video games would be the coding and technology aspect rather then like, story or entertainment value, so I feel like he’d be into games that most ppl would find pretty boring. I think he’d play online chess and care wayyyy too much. He’d be more fascinated by the Ai chess player function than the actual game tho (yknow where u can play a single player round against the app), bcus the whole concept of playing chess against a computer would be mind blowing to him. I think Armand would also like basic puzzle mobile games, like candy crush and tetris (once again, would be hyper fixated on that for multiple days straight). The issue Armand would run into with mobile games would be always, without fail falling for the clickbait adds and then immediately downloading whatever he clicks on 😭. His iPad data is absolutely devastated by how many shitty mobile games it’s trying to support 😭

my potentially controversial opinion is that I don’t think Armand would be interested in violent/fighting games. He explains in queen of the damned that he doesn’t understand what is cathartic about violence, and he finds the concept of seeking out violence disturbing and confusing. I feel like Armand would have a similar reaction towards shooter/war games as a conservative mother with a gaming son would 💀. “Why would u enjoy that 😦?? War is not fun 😦”. Lmaoooo. He would definitely try those games out to try and understand the appeal (endlessly curious and desperate to understand other ppls perspectives as he is) But I think Armand would be immune to any catharsis that comes with game killing, bcus of how often he experiences real killing💀 The only appeal he would find in violence based games would be the competitive aspect and the visuals + technological components. he is so easily stimulated that I feel like if Armand were to play like, Red dead redemption for example, he’d end up spending hours and hours riding the horse around and looking at the visuals instead of participating in any of the game play 💀 yknow? If he were to try Fortnite or Dead by Daylight or smth like that he’d be so focused on the running around and jumping functions that he’d die immediately 💀

I think Armand would be captivated by story games and visual novels, part of me thinks that he is so easily entertained that he would be too busy staring at a single environment or clicking around buttons to engage in the actual story 💀. Armand would 100% be obsessed with video games, but I think he would not play or engage with them in anyway conventionally, just bcus of how he experiences his fixations and what things he takes interest in. Armand is so invested in sensory experiences that I think if he were to play a large scale game he’d spend tons of time fixating on tiny little aspects of the features instead of working to finish it😭. Armand plays like, life is strange for a year and never gets past the first scene bcus he enjoys listening to the sound design so much 💀

GALE!!!

Azzy's twin, Gale is an interesting case. Due to a childhood encounter and a curse, she is unable to use any form of word based language. This includes speaking, writing, typing, signing, etc. She can rely on body language and emoting, and when texting she uses emojis - but generally she cannot use words.

As a child, before her curse, Gale was much like her sister, though a little tamer. But at the age of five, after Azzy found her collapsed in the woods crying, she never spoke another word. From that day forward, a star shaped mark was etched into the place between her collarbones.

In the absence of language, Gale turned to other means of expression. She paints - and she's quite good at it, she sculpts, she even did dance for a little while. In an attempt to stand out more, she even picked up Grudgby and even learned yo-yo tricks.

Gale is silly, first and foremost, whether it be a way to cover up her deep inner turmoil or just another way to stand out, who knows. But she's silly and smart and so cool! Her hobbies include binge shopping and reading.

People frequently forget to check in with her, and kind of subconsciously assume she doesn't have much going on- and therefore they kind of. vent to her a lot. She struggles to shut them down (bcus she has a weak sense of boundaries), so she frequently finds herself listening to a lot of different people's problems.

Even Azzy is occasionally guilty of this. Luz and Amity try really hard to be there for their daughter, and they're great parents to her - doing their best to interpret the means of communication she does have. They worry a lot about who cursed her and why. She tends to seek comfort in them a lot, but she is also close friends with Daisy (Willow and Hunter's daughter, I have a post about her coming up).

Also! Gale uses construction coven magic. It's nice to be able to shape the world around her, to mold it in her hands.

so uhmm.....a little rant because im sad and angry at the same time. i randomly woke up at 3am bcus i slept early yesterday and this was the first thing i saw when i did and now i cant go back to sleep. i wish i could just cry myself to sleep.

yesterday, i was so excited when i thought of how i could start writing for riize again. because in my older acc, i originally had planned a lot for future riize contents (au, smau etc). i was planning on making a banner or poster to announce that i will start writing for riize and even prepared a separate acc to post contents for riize and bnd in my native language.

because i thought, "finally, after 11 months of boycotting and waiting, we can all finally be happy with the assurance that he has returned."

i didnt know it all meant nothing to that shitty ass company and that it would only take 2 days of knetz "protest" after the announcement was all it would take.

im not undermining what they did, sending funeral flower wreaths demanding that ot6 is what they want for the group, thats freaking insane. absolute batshit crazy. but thats nothing compared to the airplane, subway ads, that floating jet thing with a banner flying around sment with seunghans banner, the i heart seunghan banner that locals mistaken for being a tourist photo spot, etc. 160+ projects for seunghan in the span pf 10-11 months compared to 2-3 days of flower wreaths, which btw sm apparently called the police for to get removed and allegedly was going to sue the ppl behind them.

and also because i do not want to invalidate seunghans feelings. we do not know if it really was him in that video. but clearly, those flower wreaths affected him greatly and im afraid that it may even have traumatised him. i fear this will make him forever anxious and scared of falling in love in the future. i fear that he will never look at flowers the same way ever again.

i have so many thoughts about the news and so many emotions going through me right now. but then i think about just how much harder this is for him and the members too. how much more painful all these are for them. im not sure but i saw someone say sohee was crying at the airport. the decision was made and posted when the members were on the plane back to korea. we dont know if they were informed beforehand or if they found out when they landed.

but regardless, i just think its so unfair for them because this time, with this decision of seunghan leaving. they were not consulted and honestly i think it is hastily made. im not blaming seunghan because tbh i think he made the decision to leave because he felt cornered or pressured by the reaction of knetz. i think sm couldve done more with reassuring and convincing him to stay with the group especially since it had only been barely 3 days since the announcement of his return.

when they said he was returning, they shouldve expected this because its their fault too that ot6 stans exist. had they done something to protect and defend seunghan this wouldnt have happened. so many artists have gone on hiatuses and fans waited and were happy with their return to activities. but because they were silent about seunghan, even tried to completely erased any traces of him in the group, it just pushed the narrative to the public (knetz) that they acknowledge that his leaked personal life and private photos from his pre febut days are indeed "wrong" and that he "shouldnt have done those things" like the knetz are saying.

im an affection junkie - physical touch is my thing ! and hes so big! so im always pouncing on him for bear hugs and he acts so unimpressed and cocky abt it like "oh you missed me? im not goin anywhere relax" but he acc melts bcus when was the last time someone gave him affection?? he prob thinks im a figment of his imagination lolol

He's gruff and protective and difficult and incredibly stubborn. like that time you two fought because he was ignoring what you were saying and he flat-out refused to acknowledge your demand when you called him out on it. to be fair, he'd come home after an eight-hour shift and you'd started talking his head off, but it wouldn't kill him to listen. he wasn't paying attention when you were talking about that new hello kitty cafe with the fun milkshakes and the mini donuts that you wanted to try. hell, he ended up falling asleep on your shoulder after brushing off your argument and as much as you wanted to remain angry at him, you'd softened immediately upon seeing his tired face, all eyebags and troubled frown. and he did make it up to you later by taking you to said cafe and proving that he had been listening, though when you brought it up to him, he pretended not to know what you were talking about. but deep down he cares for you and he's trying — you know he's trying and you don't want to make him feel bad for things he can't control. a lot of the concerns you should bring up to him, you don't — you want this relationship to be easy and safe. you want him to feel comfortable with you the same way that you feel comfortable with him. even if sometimes he comes home with a busted lip and bloody knuckles and sends your heart skidding against your ribcage. but what matters is that he comes to you first and he comes home to you. so you know that no matter what, no matter how he's feeling, if he thinks he can talk to you or not, he'll always come home to you. and even if you doubt his commitment sometimes, he knows that you're home to him and he'll do anything to keep it that way.

Here r the lyrics:

The first two lines talk about his relationship with will. Mike wants to run away from will bcus of his feelings for him and he never wanted to bcus obviously will is his best friend, a good example of mike running away is that airport 'hug' or the fact that he didn't write will any letters. 80s homophobic society is telling mike to run from will bcus he shouldn't be feeling that way about another boy so that's what he does.

The next two lines r about his relationship with el. He wants to fall in love with her to be 'normal', but can't bcus he's in love with will, so he pretends to be, which is why he can never look her in the eye and why mike does all the performative things such as writing letters, but can't say 'I love you'. El wants a relationship from the shows and movies she was watching in s2, and like finn wolfhard said, mike wants to be 'normal', so they pretend that they're in love.

Honestly this part seems to sum up an angsty mike's character so well. This also sums up his s2 character as well, since he feels like he's going "crazy" and karen says how he plagiarised an essay, cussed out a teacher and vandalised the bathroom stall.

But mike does try, he tells will asking him to be his friend was "the best thing I've ever done" and he always goes and apologies to will when they fight.
