pros-

there's like, one panel of gwen and heather that's drawn really nicely. I also like aleheather qpr but I think I'm just biased because I like aleheather and I'm aromantic . whatever . as the series progressed I grew fond of duncney, like this version of them actually was not boring and I liked it

jesus christ where to start. I'll focus on what bothered me most. the excessive, grating use of therapy-speak was like nails on a chalkboard. it made sense for characters like, say, heather to go on long monologues of pop psychology buzzwords because she's a psych student and that's what psych students sound like. that part where vito was talking to zoey, that made sense too, because he's probably been in therapy. everyone else was like. Normal People Don't Talk Like This. so many times characters just went on weird tangents where they basically stated all of their struggles, motivations, and traumas right there. Normal People Don't Talk Like That. I guess they don't call itt total traumda fojnithgin!!!

another thing I didn't really understand was the age gap between cecily (was that her name) and courtney. for some reason going in I assumed that the main cast was like, mid to late twenties, so heather and gwen's reactions made sense! and then they were like "but you're TWENTY THREE (pr whatever it was)" and I was like uh? what. I'm only twenty I know this. but a 4-5 year age gap with someone you met at university as an adult isn't like. grooming. I understand the point was that courtney dates people she can control and that was the problem, I guess it just would have been more profound if cecily was like, just over 18 or something really egregious, maybe I'm just too young to get it yet. whatever this tangent was pointless sorry. besides the fact that tt was selling merch of courtney x cecily before denouncing them as a super toxic couple LOL

what was the purpose of putting cody in an ahegao hoodie during his character climax. the point of it being that sierra was infantilizing him and how toxic and unhealthy their relationship had been because of that . and he's wearing an ahegao hoodie. middle school boy core. was it supposed to be meaningful? funny? I don't know

totaltrauma is something of a guilty pleasure for me in that i dont like, interact w/ the comics to support them but i do keep up with it and i have read the whole thing. like, you can say a lot of bad things about it. but i havent ever heard it called boring.!

you can tell theres a ton of effort put into the art as well.. replicating the td style is hard to do! i think cecily’s character design is rly good. most ppl fail to make convincing characters in the td style that arent clearly using a base, since every design has a unique build.

but the cons. yeahgh. the npd thing is craaazy even if amy’s going for a redemption arc is it good representation to have one single character with npd. and the first thing she does when diagnosed is celebrate that she has an excuse for abusing her sister now.

and you look in the replies and responses to the comic are multiple people going omg my ex was a narcissist just like her ughh so self absorbed and abusive etc like. i cant possibly see how pri thought the npd amy plot was a good idea..!

the courtney/cecily thing was so funny to me too like fuuuck a 19 year old and 24 year old dating thats crazy someone call the cops.. i love total trauma sometimes it’s camp remember when courtney said i was gay first!

Some problems i had with the finale in hazbin hotel

now before i start i just wanna say that i absolutely love and adore this show with all of my heart but with that being said i can still recognize its flaws and god does it have some

lets get one of the most obvious things out of the way first. charlie did literally nothing. she hit adam once or twice and he beat the shti out of her which was just a dumb excuse to have lucifer show up nad beat the shit out of him.

but more on that later. charlie is the main character and she only gets the motivation to go full 'god mode' when sir pentious dies? even then she didnt do anything. dazzle ends up dying but oh well its fine (or razzle i cant remember). she stabs adam once and even then he beats her up more than anything. hes powerful yes but charlie couldve put up more of a fight

she even has a song in episode 7 about taking charge but honestly... she doesnt really do that. actually sir pentious had a better arc than her and we hardly see him throughout the entire show

sir pentious' death was fine we see him gearing up and it was kinda leading onto the big scene where he would take on adam but...

bro got obliterated in less than like a second and then adam made a joke off of it. tbh at this moment i started laughing so hard because goddamn was it hilarious but then you have charlie and the hotel mourning it like not even five seconds after- like half a second after the joke.

the tonal whiplash of that scene was just... ugh-

like i didnt care about it being serious because guess what? im already laughing at the joke like everything that i cared for about him just thrown into the gutter because guess what? haha funny :)

Ok of course its about the ship wars and specifically Taekook vs Jikook. I look on Tumblr and twitter and stuff and yall are actually always talking about how the other half od =f the war is feeling like “oh I bet the jikookers are crying” “oh rip taekookers now they'll finally shut up” like first of all it is never good to generalize a population of any people. I’m sure not all taekookers hate Jimin and not all jikokkers hate Taehyung. Sure there are some that do but I don’t think those qualify as ARMY because as the Tannies have made clear BTS is seven and if we don’t respect that then we aren’t a true fan. Now recently with the Jennie thing I personally don’t really know what’s going on but it seems to me as if Jennie is said to be dating everyone anytime she is seen with them so like personally I like to take lal that with a grain of salt. But if it comes out as confirmed than good for Tae! But what I hate about shipwars is that they seem to really contribute towards supposed fans disregard the maeknae line’s feelings towards one another as FRIENDS. Jimin and Taehyung as we all know are super super close and it seems like everyone likes to forget that. it also is no secret that Jungkook and Jimin are close they are like bickering brothers all the time its cute! and I think specifically with Taekook for some reason everyone and their mother makes it about the ship and glazes over the fact that maybe Taehyung and Jungkook happen to like spending time together, you know as friends. maybe they just find their company enjoyable also if Taehyung was dating someone (Jennie or whoever, idk) why would they have to spend all his time with her/them can’t he hang out with friends too? Why does it have to be all about ships all the time. Like literally there is zero comments under most photos of tae kook thats like “oh yay they're such good friends happy for them to have fun together blah blah blah” its always “OMG TAEKOOK” or “ugh taekookers are gonna be crazy about this” like calm the fuck down. Don’t let your ship blind you from whats important and that is that all members of BTS love each other and we should support them all as individuals and be happy they have a good time with whoever they choose to spend it with. And whether that person they spend time with is another member of the group or a member of the opposite sex or a member of the same sex why does that matter to us. Like literally just let them live. alright, we open with itt drying days hair. everyone in pjs. we got night, gear and day and itt. day is rude. night says lets go to a temple, day isn't sold, itt says day isn't ready and day is sold.

gear gets it.

day silently pulling away. itt is scared of the dark. he also hates scary movies. itt tries to escape and day is rude.

asshole. villain. the way he leans back with an arm on the couch as he orders itt to rub his leg. itt wants to escape.

again, frank is great at looking sad. itt is getting visibly scared. day is picking up on it with those sinister sexy eyes. ask for water.

asshole. to the MAX. i love gear's stank face. night is so not paying attention. well. no. night gets it. but itt was listening, he didn't think to have an issue with it.

night is fucked up for real. like night will speak but only when day is loud/angry. from the moment the lights went out, gear knew day was teasing itt. he had a pretty upset face. did not say anything until itt got up but okay. he picks it up. night was more willing to let it role off and focus on the movie. its only when gear starts to scold that night gives a well, thats not nice look.

exit plan for night? gear says days past self like to tease and not in a good way. itt is scared in the kitchen. i'd go to my room. a random cat jump scare? 10/10

anyway, meen joins the party, itt sits next to her. meen is friendly. stop trying to be nice girl. this day isn't on it or you. also, the gang is here. nick, neil, gear, night, day and itt. the death stare + the jaw.

alright. day is making a stink. he has to go to the bathroom. neil offers to help. he wants itt and omg this man is truly a villain. got comfortable, tossed his crutch and has itt pinned to the wall by his neck in seconds. (also, meen girlie brought itt a cake and it triggered day's almonds 500%. gear and night peep and this and the worry on their face)

so anyway, itt is telling day he's hurting him but makes no move to push him. im saying. just tip him over. then, day ask itt whats the relationship between the two. itt says just friends. day tells him not to lie. itt says they're ex's.

so a few things.

day is a creep for really lulling itt into the bathroom

itt tip him over

why did itt lie...LMAO. like.....by omission. day really is like a dog

we get a flashback and day and meen were cut, then we have this guy mac (more on him later) is creeping in the back. and then meen is breaking up with itt and moving on with mac. (more on this whole thing at the end)

end flashback

itt ask day if he's jealous and day denies it. but he is jealous.

itt stand up.

they return to the party and meen makes her exit. i would've already made mines. itt walks her out and they chat a bit. she's worried. she knows this day. she has about mac. itt gets shifty.

flashback

we find out mac only got with meen to get her away from itt. itt is pissed. day comes in. he's pissed at mac. he's pissed at itt. day settles it and for lack of a better phrase...gives itt to mr. lusty eyes, also known as nan.

you can guess mac's fate. the show hints at it but yeah, no good people.

also during this flash back. i said day was pissed with itt. yeah. he grabs by the face-cheeks and clearly states to itt, that he said that can not go out alone.

nan. i know what you are.

even itt looks worried but also doesn't do anything. mac also doesn't do anything. more on this.

end flashback

next day, we get some shots of day doing PT and itt recording it. his body is recovering quickly. itt is recording his progress. they bond a little over the pt. i guess. itt's dad is checking in with him.

again, yes. all should move into one place. day controls his temper around itts parents. day said at first he didn't like day.

we're home and its day and itt and day is being day. itt gets him on the couch and is about to walk away. YES. but day ask if its that uncomfortable being with him. yes.

the look on itts face.

day is doing his pushing away thing. being mean and itt is pissed enough now! itt say despite his hurtful words, he never wants to leave him. why does day have to drive him away. day has some looks on his face. not anger. maybe reflection?

but my boy is going through it.

day knows hes wrong and ask itt if he's a man. itt says men can cry. YES ITT.

there is silence and day tells itt to sit. it does not move. day says if itt doesn't want him to drive him out then sit. itt inches closer but doesn't sit. finally day pulls him down but itt doesn't even look at him.

flashback to day in when woke up. flashbacks about itt crying. i think it's day having the flash back because itt is trying not to cry. day grabs his chin, strokes his cheek and tears. the music. show, i know what u are.

itt just breaks on down. okay, in the middle of this, day pinches his cheek or does something. inflicting pain on itt in some way is his thing.

but now itt is begging for his old day back. TIP HIM OVER. don't hurt my heart. it gets close, itt leans on day for comfort and day lets him. clearly, not knowing how to deal with this. we get an almost kiss? itt wants it but day pulls away last second.

18th Birthday and Obsessions

Im 18; an adult. Thats fun I think. I honestly dont feel much different than I did yesterday. Today was whatever; my mom and brother said happy birthday. My dad and sister did not. Im not sure if my dad said it and I just didnt hear It but ill make sure tmr. My sister absolutely did not say happy birthday which im honestly happy about. I dont need that insidious energy.

I hope 18 is a year of success, freedom, fun, love and new opportunities and experiences.

I spent the day watching a movie actually! I watched Barbarian (Check letterboxd for a super short review lol). But dont worry Im planning on celebrating at this restaurant in the city with some friends. Some I would consider more friends than others. Two days ago I handed in my application for my dream uni and halfassed the applicaiton (did it all in like 1 hour) and missed out on two full essays. There is absolutly NO WAY im getting in there now and ive just wasted an early decision application. Im sort of just ignoring the fact that I did that because I cant afford to fall into a depressive state with mock exams two weeks away.
