Jimmy: sure he's a big flirt and is pretty experienced but romance isn't something jimmy is too used to. darling boy isn't typically the one to recieve all the attention and some of the romantic things you do never fail to make him flustered (even more so when you tease him about the scarlet blush covering his cheeks and even the tips of his ears.) when you grab his hands and press light kisses to them (anywhere to his palm, tips of his fingers ect,) he reminds you of a deer in headlights. and alot like kit, his family means alot to him so seeing you all treat each other as such always makes his heart swell.

James: (ty for @tatestripedsweater for the help with this one <3) James will always jump at the chance to slow dance with you, even if theres no reason to. he'll put one of his favorite records on and pull you close, basking in your warmth as you sway together. he also loves when you get up with him in the morning and help him get ready, tying his tie for him when he wears one (which you learned to do so just for this) and fixing his shirt collar before pulling him down, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. (sometimes the tie is discarded but its fine, he thinks it looks better on you anyways,,)

Rory: Rory is constantly talking you into running his lines with him. sure he can do it himself but thats no fun. its definitely one of his favorites things to do with you and you both get way too into it. 100% theatrical mode its all very dramatic (and 100% goofy, he goofs off just to see you break character and laugh.) you both end up curled up (more like cramped) in the loveseat together, limbs entangled despite the fact that theres a couch next to you. (he just wants to be close to you as possible okay?)

Edward: you're constantly bringing home gorgeous art pieces for him just to see his eyes light up at the sight of them (and though he doesn't say it you're always his favorite thing to look at and admire.) he also insists on nightly baths together where he can finally relax and not worry about a thing.

Kai: there's not really anything that makes kai 'melt'. one of the more intimate things you do with him though, is coloring his hair and washing it for him. you're always gentle as to not tug on it, fingers running through long locks and against his scalp (he won't admit it and you definitely won't bring it up if you notice but his eyes sometimes drift close at your soft touch. you can't help the smile that spreads across your face though.)

Gallant: Gallant is always a sucker for being spoiled (i mean- who isn't) whether it be gifts or physical affection. you try to surprise him with new jewelry often and you love how excited he gets and he's always loves to do your hair for you when you need him to. he won't hesitate to drape himself across your lap at any time and loves when you press yourself up against him or wrap your around him when he's near. if you stand up to his nana for him boy will probably fall (more) in love with you right then and there.

Peter: not many people really pay him any attention or give him validation but he never has to ask for it with you and it kind of catches him by surprise sometimes. he tends to doubt himself a lot too but you're always quick to reassure him. when he hasn't roped you into some prank or taken you halfway across the world, you spend alot of time listening to music together. he insists on using his cassette player and headphones no matter how difficult it may be so he can be pressed up close to you.

Thoughts on shadamy? Or how you see the potential behind their dynamic? 🥺👉👈

gosh i havent thought that much about shadamy in awhile!! i was REALLLLY into it tho, just as much as i was into sonamy, like i honestly couldnt decide which i liked more.

obviously now sonshadamy is the way

but ok well, i think i ship them more platonically firstofall (tho im not against romantically, we just haven't seen them together that many times? i would LOOOVE more interaction with them) and she'd be really good for helping him open up more about his thoughts and feelings, encourage him to be kind and thoughtful. people like to say that Sonic is a lot like Maria, and maybe they are similar!- Maria never got the chance to be adventurous or active though, and in SA2, Amy clearly reminded Shadow of Maria just as he was about to watch Earth be destroyed. She reminded and showed Shadow the actual meaning in Maria's words, what she wanted for Shadow and thats how he was able to save the world.

Amy's a really 'get into her feelings' kind of person and i can see her and Shadow having a few arguements and disagreements and lack of communication and understanding between them. It would def be really rocky at first (while Sonic on the other hand, just *understands* Shadow and leaves him be if needed, or confronts him directly and straight to the point). It would take a long time for Amy to really understand Shadow who's a closed door, and Amy's a open book and maybe that scares Shadow. He doesnt understand someone like her, who is so selfless and kind and lends a helping hand to anyone in need, and maybe he hates being on the other hand of that dynamic- he sees it as being weak, and Amy could teach him that theres bravery in kindness.

On a happier note tho, some activities i can see them enjoying together. Clearly Amy cant keep up with him in combat or speed, but she has a good endurance, and i can see her taking him out shopping or to local game arcades, or maybe help him with gardening. he grumbles and complains at the thought of being around people and doesnt like the center of attention but i think he'd think the experience is worth it

In battle, he'd be pretty annoyingly worried about Amy, she's not as strong or skilled as him and Sonic, or as elusive and cunning as Rouge- and you know, he wouldnt wanna lose someone close to him a second time, so he'd prob jump in front of Amy all the time and Amy would get soooo pissed off at him and theyd just get into a yelling match in the middle of the battlefield and everyone else is just face palming and its sooo awkward for everyone.

Finally, sonic who's known amy like his whole life, assures Shadow that shes more than capable of taking care of herself. Yes she was the damsel in distress in the past, but she's gotten stronger, not only for her friends but for herself and he's seen the improvement. it takes a lot of convincing to calm Shadow and so maybe he tries to work together more as a team with her. He's not used to that, so he'll still mess up and still try to get the most enemies defeated, but thats because he wants all the glory. it's still kinda annoying to Amy but he's trying i suppose!

Or maybe I'm giving Shadow too much credit, maybe he leaves Amy by herself TOO much, leaves her to fend for himself, refuses to work as a coordinated team. He's always worked alone, and when he doesn't its with Rouge, and its more like theyre fighting alone but together- if that makes sense. This irritates Amy cause 'arent we friends? friends look out for each other' and he'd be like, ive always been able to look out for myself' and she'll say 'yes but not all of us are Ultimate Lifeforms like you. What's all your power and strength for if not used to protect those who need you?' and once again she reminds him of Maria's promise. She's really good at humbling him and gently or harshly putting him back in his place depending on whats going on.

Amy of course finds herself stumped from time to time and goes to Rouge a lot for advice, to which Rouge is happy to help but says sometimes its best to leave things alone as she's learned to do when it comes to Shadow. Rouge is kinda relived too, now that Amy's trying to take over as some sort of caretaker for Shadow. Takes some of the stress out of the older girl's hair. Amy can't leave things alone though and just pushes and pushes Shadow until he snaps at her and lets her have it. It sucks but at least he's communicating. Again, Amys not one to back down and tells him that what he does hurts her and his friends. Shadow grumbles that he doesnt care but he doooes when it comes to Rouge and Amy, and eventually learns that to have the girls stop pestering him is to just *tell them* what hes thinking or feeling. He learns its just easier to do that than have them bothering him for days and days.

this is a lot of "amy makes shadow a better guy" so let me think of how Shadow helps Amy for once, okay so obvs i think he'd be up to sparring with her on a lower level to help her advance her skills. She becomes a much stronger fighter. Since she doesnt have the speed he or Sonic does, he teacher her to put all she has into her Piko Hammer, helps her go through rigorous training to better wield the weapon in a more convenient manner rather than just swinging her hammer around and wasting energy when it doesnt hit. He'll even rope Omega in who's more than happy to shoot a moving target. Amy will have to skillfully weave and dodge through it all, or use her hammer to block or deflect the projectiles.

I guess he'd tried to teach her to be more careful of the people she trusted, not to trust so easily and openly. But I think she'd be pretty adamant about it, after all, she trusted him pretty much as soon as she met Shadow, and when she met Omega (E 123 Gamma? sorry cant remember if theyre the same character), along with a bunch of other baddies. She's not afraid of getting hurt or being wrong or trying to be the try hard good guy, she cares more about giving second chances to those who want it. Shadow and Amy agree to disagree but its brought up when its relevant.

hopefully this is good enough?? idk the shadamy fanfics i read back in the day, Shadow was either a really emo guy in highschool or some guy in a gang or mafia, and along came amy this really preppy girl who'd bring him out of his shell and into the sunshine, until one day her life was in danger and he'd have to save her, and sonic was either the villian or some asshole jock kid who get jealous now that amy wasnt always on him, or it was shadow's dad LOL that was THE formula for shadamy fics back then.

Chikara: Ikari (5/?)

Ikari roughly translates to anger or hatred. Ellie finds out about Nicks troubled past, after dealing with her own demons. Colt obtains an important source of information.

Rating: Mature. Warning, mention of sexual assult, death, Murder, sexual situations and violence.

Ellie walked through the quad in the days following winter break, colts jacket pulled tightly against her body. Even with her wool hat she could hear the whispers, she felt eyes boring into her. Everywhere she went, they were talking about it, about her and what happened. She had kept to herself mostly,  just like the Ellie that showed up for summer session, broken and alone. Somehow Ingrid talked her i to getting some food with Kyle and Nick. She stood up to get a refill of her drink when she walked past two girls sitting at a table in front of the soda fountain. 

Thats her, the girl who got attacked. One if them said. 

Hmm shes probably just looking for attention. The other chimed in. 

Ellie had enough.  She walked up to the girls and stood in front of them "Excuse me, but have we met?" Ellie asked, the girls turned to look at her stunned. One of them rolled their eyes "ah no." She sucked her teeth and flipped her hair. "Oh? Because you seemed to know me enough to talk shit as I walked past." Ellie snapped. "We don't know you,  so keep it moving. Freak." The other rolled her eyes and motioned to move with her hands. 

Ellie felt the rage building within her. She tossed the soda in her hand on one of the girls, who shrieked.  She grabbed the other, the one with the smart mouth, by the back of the head and slammed her face down on the table. "Keep my fucking name out of your mouth, of the next time I'll break your fucking nose." 

She released her grip on the girl. "Come on, lets get outta here." Nick ran up, pulling her out of the restaurant.  They jumped in his car and speed off into town. They pulled up to a run down building, walked up a flight of stairs to a small apartment.  "Where are we?" Ellie asked as she looked around the small space. "Home. For now. Its not much, but its a place to lay my head." Ellie nodded, her time with the crew made her understand things most people never learned. 

"That was some display you put on back there." He chuckled as he reached in the fridge and grabbed two beers. "You just bring me here to lecture me on how not to act?" Nick shook his head. "Na, the opposite actually. " he held the beer towards her, she shook her head no declining.  Nick sat down on a chair, taking a sip of his beer. "When you were in the hospital, I heard you mentioned the brotherhood." 

Ellies blood ran cold, she could hear her heart beating in her ears. "No, I. I didn't." She lied, she was a terrible liar. "Ellie, I heard you. And If you know about them, if someone was after you because of them. Well, maybe we're not so different after all." Ellie sat down at the table with Nick, did he know something? Did he have a run in with them too? 

"Ok. So what if I did. How do you know about them?" She was cautious,  she never thought Jason would be a dirty cop, she trusted him enough since he was her dad's partner,  she never thought in her wildest dreams he would be the damned ring leader of the brotherhood. Nick let out a long sigh "I'll tell you,  but you gotta trust me enough to tell me your story too." Ellie considered his words, he did save her from being killed in that alley. "Deal." She held her hand out, which Nick shook. 

"I grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, unlike most kids around I had both my parents,  and they loved each other. My dad, he was involved in some heavy stuff, he ran with a local crew. One day a powerful gang showed up and began to take over the smaller gangs, snuffing them out and forcing them to work for them. When they didn't comply, they punished them. My dad, he rose up, spoke out." Nick paused for a moment, Ellie watched the emotions flash across his face. "They killed him and a few others,  spared their families so they could spread the word, the brotherhood meant business." 

"Nick… im. Im so sorry." Ellie reached out to grab his hand.  "Don't be sorry Ellie. It happened a long time ago and ive made my peace with my dad's passing. What I want to know is how a smart, innocent girl like yourself, got tangled up with the brotherhood." 

Ellie took a deep breath,  nobody but the crew knew what had happened, not the full story. Yet she felt comfortable enough to bare it all to  Nick. "Well, it all started with a boy in a car and an asshole on a bike." 

Ellie filled him in on everything,  how kaneko sent Logan to gain intel to the take down, or so she thought, of Jason in the school parking lot." Visiting old wounds opened something within her, paired  with her new found aggression and drive she felt like she had awoken from a deep slumber. "I cant sit around and wait for the cops to not do their jobs. I have to do something,  to take that asshole Shaw down once and for all!" Ellie pounded her fist against the table. "I've been doing some digging into possible brotherhood operations in town, but my hacking skills are limited." She sighed. "You need a hacker." A smile formed on Nick's face.

Ellie turned facing him, she knew that look,  it was the same one Colt would give her when they hatched a plot, there was no turning back now.  Ellie knew exactly what she needed to do. "I need a crew." Nick leaned forward, hands on the table. "And I know just where to find one."

Los Angeles, California….

Colt sat in front of the Laptop, a red bull in his hand. He had been awake for 2 days straight, no signs of sleep in the horizon. Ximena had come to stay with him, they melted down her SUV so there were no traces for the brotherhood to find it. She immediately lifted a new one, black and bigger. They had made a little headway on hunting wallace down. The Kaneko name held weight, Teppei's self sacrifice spread through the alleys and back roads like wildfire. His courageous act, dubbed him as a saint amongst the crime world and left his heir to be feared by many. Colt was young, and more ruthless than his father. Everyone wanted to be in his good graces. 

A neighboring crew shed a little information about a possible underground operation the brotherhood had been running. An old sawmill on the west side of town had seen a lot more activity in recent months. Colt combed blue prints, scouted the location, the surveillance was an issue. It was old, easy to hack into but the picture quality was lacking. He tried to find A surrounding camera to view but hadn't had much luck.  "Fuck. This is ridiculous." he hollered, tossing the laptop onto the couch next to him. 

He rubbed his hands down his face in frustration.  He allowed his mind to wander there. Wondering what she was doing in that exact moment. He counted down the days until he could be with her, He had to be with her. Ximena walked in, a bag of takeout in hand. "You look like shit. You slept any since I left?" Colt shook his head.  "Cant sleep, not til I can get a better look at that warehouse." 

Ximena tossed a plate in front of him, a burger and fries,  She picked up the laptop and plopped down on the couch. "Ok, you eat. Let me see what I can do." 

After a few minutes she spoke up "got it. Just needed to position this camera that way and.." her eyes went wide. "Colt, you're gonna wanna come see this." Colt shot up standing over ximenas shoulder.  "That son of a bitch. He's there?" Before she could say a word Colt was already out the door and on his bike. He speed across town, weaving in and out of traffic. By the time he got there, the building was quiet.  He did find a familiar person. Colt grabbed him by the shirt and tossed him up against the brick wall. "Where is he?" He seethed. "Who. I don't know who you're talking about." 

"Wallace. Where the fuck is he?" Colt cocked his fist back. "I don't know. He left. He's gone." The man cried out. Colts fist connected with his face. "Ok, ok. I'll cooperate." Colt loosened his grip on him. The man opened his mouth to speak, then turned bolting for the door. Son of a bitch Colt huffed as he ran after him. He made it to the door in just enough time to see the guy get close lined, falling to the ground hard. "I don't remember asking for backup." He sneered "yeah, well looks like you needed it." Ximena snorted. Colt hovered over the man, Ximena knocked him out cold. "Were taking him." Ximena arched her brow. "Colt-" she warned. "Not the first time we kidnapped someone, probably won't be the last and We need answers.  You wanted in, this is in." Ximena shook her head. "Ok boss. I got rope in the truck. Lets get him loaded up before someone sees." 

Colt and Ximena pulled up to a run down house, it was one of the safe houses Kaneko had set up in case the heat got to bad in the city. It was outside of La and the best part it was remote. Ximena tossed. Bucket of water on the man as he jolted awake. "What? Where am I?" He fidgeted in his seat, trying to move his restrained hands. "Horacio Salazar." The man whipped his head to the other side of the room. "That's not my name." He spat.  "Sure it is. I know all about you Horacio. I know about your wife Maria. Your two kids Nico and Emalina. Even your little dog scruffy." Colts lips twisted into a sinister smirk as he watched the color drain from Horacio's face. "What do you want? 

"I just want a little information on a mutual acquaintance, Wallace. I want to know everything you know about him." Colt circled like a vulture. "I don't know nothin." 

Colt stopped, staring at the man before him. His hands crossed against his chest. 

"You aren't related to Emilio Salazar are you?"

Horacio lifted his head to look at Colt. "He was my cousin. Why?" 

"He helped my crew out with something. It's a shame what happened to him. I don't know if I would have the stomach to work for the crew that killed my cousin" He smirked "but that's just me." He turned his head, his smile twisted into a bone chilling curl. He was enjoying this more than he should, he knew he knee horacio would cooperate, but he needed him to want them dead, just as much as Colt did. 

A few minutes went by in silence before Horacio finally opened his mouth to speak. "Alright, fine. I'll tell you what I know." Colt flashed ximena a wicked smile.  "Ok Horacio, tell what you know."

Langston….. Nick led Ellie down a dimly lit hall of a warehouse on the outskirts of town. She could hear the bass thumping on the other side of the metal door. She gave Nick a questioning look. "You needed a crew, this is our first step." She nodded as he opened the door. She expected a cold, open space with some tattered old couches, and dirt. Instead the are was fully furnished with leather couches and chairs. A dj played some up tempo music as a few people danced.  They weaved in and out of people before they approached a large, muscular man standing in front of a sectioned off room. Nick whispered something in his ear, he nodded and let them pass. "Rubywrecker? We have a proposition for you." Nick spoke to the hooded figure sitting in front of 4 laptops with their backs turned to them. "Not interested. Who let you back here?" She spoke, not bothering to turn around. "Oh, I think you'll be interested. Especially when it comes to matters of a certain brotherhood."  

The woman stood, slowly turning around. "Not here. But if it has anything to do with taking them down. Im intrigued." She smiled. "Then I think you'll like what we have to say." Ellie stepped forward, it was finally happening. She was forming her crew, her vision closer to becoming a reality. The brotherhood was going to get what they deserved, one way or another.

Session 19 - your majesty, i present to you the vengaboys

Returning to our tale, the group have all found respite in Vorde’s temporary abode in Shorewater, resting up and recovering from the night's events. Soon morning comes, though with the curtains shut as they are, it's a bit hard to tell that it's now daylight outside as they all slowly come too.

Peering about the group dont spot Vorde about, supposing he’s still in his room. Feeling a hankering for breakfast, Keva and Psalm wander over to the small dining table in the room and the fruit still piled upon it, chowing down. Psalm continues looking at the tome they stole yesterday as he does, continuing to copy runes and scan for any more information as he does.

Keva: keva is cuttin up an apple into slices with a small knife, giving some to amos and setting some aside and occasionally eating a slice Psalm: i'm just cooling at this breakfast table

Rokka begins his morning stretches, Finn sees this and decides to join him as well, Han watches and secretly does her own stretches, trying to not seem as if she wants to join in.

Plum: WHY Han: issues ! Plum: LMFAO Rokka: did our near death experience not bring us closer

In the meantime Plum and Cimmorro prepare their spells for the day, either via quick study or short prayer. Seemingly done with her stretches, Han comes over and joins the two at the dining table to eat (she hoards some of the food after everyone's had some). As the group go about their activities Orin eventually ambles out of him and Finn’s room somewhat drowsy, he takes a seat at the table next to psalm and takes a bite of an apple.

Psalm: good morning orin Rokka: i am crushing an apple in my mouth whole Orin: "mornin'" he looks like hes about to continue but rokka eating an apple whole makes him go : 0 though he quickly sneaks one of Keva’s slices after. Keva: an apple a day keeps the Chip: cult away Psalm: CLEARLY IT DONT

Han heads over to the window to the balcony briefly and opens the curtain ever so slightly to peer outside, looking down she sees the fenced garden of the building, a few birds flitting about in the branches of trees. Craning her head to try and look at the street she doesn't see anybody around. Out of the corner of his eye Finn sees Han move the curtain slightly and quickly becomes on edge before realising all is fine.

Finn: 

Han: LKSAD;LKHFLKHAWEFDS Finn: grimaces @ han opening the curtain and moves slightly. Chip: like a cat Finn: yes! Chip: fur raised Finn: KHJSHEJEHLJ

After a time the group hear some shuffling from the door Vorde disappeared behind last night, it slowly creaks open revealing his form. He walks out and looks about the group of them idling about and rubs his eyes turning and walking to the dining table to also grab an AppleTM, he doesn't sit down though

Han: i am 100% imagining this strained awkward silence Psalm: is he gonna crush it in his bare hands, BAROK VON VORDE... Finn:😳 Han: chip what did we watch dgs FOR Chip: NO

Finn: "morning uncle" finn stares kinda wondering why hes not sitting down but thats not gonna ruin his day Vorde: "morning finnian, i hope waking during daylight hours isnt too much for you" his eyes look sleepy as he speaks Orin: orin swallows his apple and speaks up "take a seat boss!" Vorde: he shakes his head in response "need to stand for a while for the blood to return to my legs" Finn: finn cant help but smile at that and responds "mm not exactly pleasant but i can manage. did you stay up?"

As the two chat Keva takes the moment to go take a quick morning bath, bringing Amos into the bathroom with her to give him a clean as well. Orin watches her take the rat into the bathroom with a face of confusion.

Vorde: "good to know" he pauses "hmm yes, I’ve been working through the night on how to present our case to the royalty, im going to be needing you all to speak as well once were before the court, merely on the things that prove you weren't responsible for the assassinations. We've the evidence to back up our claims so im not too worried. Of course if the royalty calls upon you you're each to respond in kind as well.” Finn: source: trust me Han: han hmms

Vorde seems to stretch slightly after finishing his apple and finally takes a seat at the dining table with the others, crossing his legs as he sits. 

Vorde: “My plan is thus; gain entry to the palace and an audience with the royalty, once there reveal the truth that the Red Letterhead’s machinations are the true cause for all this strife and go from there, i intend to warn them that Theyord’s apparent plans are about to be put into motion soon as well” he glances back over at his room “i will be presenting and handing over the items we have procured this far, including the tome" he glances at you psalm "hopefully it will be proof positive enough, should the archmage be around she won't find ive anything to hide on the matter”

He takes a quick sigh and rubs one of his eyes “I'm not sure what the royals will decide after that, I imagine they will put further efforts in place regarding the protection of the city and its walls, they should in anycase. If we are free to walk after we can investigate madam Shelly Carter’s lead after, perhaps we may request aid for the task as well, though I'm sure they will be hard pressed to spare much after such a threat to the city has been revealed. They’ll want all hands on deck”

Finn: finn nods and just thinks "man my uncle is so smart and cool. what a solid plan." Cimmorro: 🤨 Plum:

Han: a lot seems to be hinging on the royals kind nature Vorde: true, they arent benevolent but i dont think they're idiots either. It would be hard to ignore the items we've gathered. As well as the presence of a time limit Han: .... not that we have a better plan, but were i in that position, i just throw us in jail, less loose ends Psalm: Here's to hoping they don't just jump to conclusions hm? ^_^ Han: "what might we think to do then" said at the group kinda Plum: dunno, never busted outta jail before

The group decide that if worse comes to worse they’d prefer to try and figure out a plan to jailbreak themselves rather than resist the guardsmen and die trying. They also bring up the fact that they still currently think the mayor and Vinny are still compromised or under Theyord’s influence, and to keep it in mind. Keva leaves the bath around soon after and rejoins the group discussion.

Vorde: he continues, blinking slowly “hmm yes i forgot to specify, we are going ahead with the prisoners plan. However it won't be good for me to parade you all through the street even if you are ‘restrained’, it would be best if we could appear right before the guardsmen at the palace so the closest place for them to lock you up if they decide too is within the palace itself. Rokka hands Vorde a few lengths of rope from his pack to tie the group up with in their fake prisoners ploy, satisfied Vorde then tucks it away for later. He then brings up another concern he seems to have on his mind.

Vorde: he turns to you Finn with his brows furrowed “I am not sure...if I ought to bring you along Finnian. It is best we act swiftly which does mean leaving during daylight. You could stay here, though perhaps i ought to leave Orin with you. Best if you weren't alone after what happened a week back.” Finn: finn also furrows his brows and ponders his uncles words for a moment. "is it only because of the daylight uncle?" Vorde: he thinks for a moment "i suppose so"

Finn asks Orin to then go check and see how harsh the sunlight out today seems, he obliges, getting up to carefully sneak his way past the curtain as the group continue discussing the matter.

Han: han glances btwn vorde n finn quizzically "what happened a week ago" Finn: i exchange looks with vorde as to telepathically ask whos gonna answer her. Vorde: he looks at you finn and sighs before turning back to you han, tapping the table with one finger "when we first arrived in Shorewater and began poking around we were sent an uninvited visitor" Han: who Vorde: an assassin Han: han rolls her eyes "yes i got that but. any identifying features" Vorde: i found a letterheads token on him, though he was dressed as a guardsman. No ring so i assume he killed someone and stole their clothes to find passage to our room. Nothing else stood out about him. Han: han hmms thoughtfully Chip: geralt hmmm Han: yea, the energy im channelling today

Han: he didnt return and they didnt send anyone else to finish the job. cocky Vorde: [a nod] Psalm: or maybe with their ceremony on the horizon they decided they needed everyone focused on the same goal? Han: which is, in a word, cocky Psalm: sure if you want to put it that way

Orin returns and informs Finn and the gang that it appears to be cloudy out today, they should be good if Finn covers up with heavy cloaks. Finn thanks him and tells his uncle it should be alright for him to come with them, though he wouldn't mind staying back if that is what he preferred.

Vorde: vorde like hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm 

Psalm: “wouldn't it be safer to stick with a group in that case?” with his nephew there maybe he'll try harder to make things not go badly for us! 🙂 Plum: i also think it'd be kinda bad to be here alone, not like they didn't see us all runnin around Vorde: "i suppose it is better to stick together in this case" he looks at you finn "try not to horse around too much in the daylight" vorde worried parent mode engaged Finn: finn gives a big smile "got it!". >finn feels cared for friendship meter goes up Vorde: hmm, it would be more convincing in any case if i wasnt the only one bringing a group of fugitives to the palace. Finnian and Orin could make also have hold of the restraints.

Finn now assured that he is coming along, heads off into his room to quickly bulk up for the outside journey. Donning three three cloaks, the heaviest on top, thick black gloves and boots, a big sunhat and a scarf to protect his neck, he waddles back out into the main room where the party is situated.

Keva: keva's mouth seems to wiggle as she tries not to laugh Vorde: as you wander out and present yourself, vorde walks up to you and inspects your ensemble, after a moment he adjusts your scarf so it covers you mouth more and hmm's satisfied Orin: orin shouts a "looking good!" from across the room and snorts at keva Keva: keva shoots orin a look back like "what" and her smile breaks thru a little more before she fixes her face Plum: plum gives you a thumbs up Finn: "thanks uncle!!" finn beams @ vorde and looks at plum and orin and also shoots them a grateful smile

Vorde stretches again slightly, seemingly finally more awake then before, he informs the party to ready themselves to set off. They’ll get as close as they can to the palace before putting on the restrained charade, informing them they need to only disguise themselves well enough for a 5 minute walk through some alleys. Heading back into his room he begins preparing the evidence within his satchel and making himself presentable, the party following suit in trying to look conspicuous.

Keva: keva ties up her wet hair and pulls her hood and face mask up Han: han braids her hair and throws up cape too Psalm: (uses disguise kit) for good measure i just pull my hood up too Cimmorro: i'll just take off all the flashy jewellery and keep the hood up if that suffices Rokka: DISGUISE RING...

Rokka uses the disguise ring stolen from the letterheads to once again turn himself into a different human form, Chris Rokksworth, pop sensation. Plum asks the group if they oughta down the red potion they found earlier to change their hair colour.

Plum: can i just drink that weird potion and call it a day Han: angery ronand mcdoland Keva: 

Psalm: i don't see why not, i'm hard pressed to think of a better time to use it Han: han shrugs in a ye sure way Plum: [looking very excited] "ok yeah sure" i chug that shit

you pop open the red bulbous vial and drink the airy liquid. slowly youre hair turns red, additionally your tongue does as well. 

Rokka: cool hair plum Finn: i give a thumbs up back at plum for earlier.

Vorde walks out of the room once more, he almost seems surprised seeing Rokka as a person but doesn't comment, he also doesn't say anything about plums hair. Satisfied with the disguises he heads for the balcony window, informing them its better if theyre not all seen exiting the front. He slides open the curtains and clicks open the doors, peering out for witnesses before he motions for the group to all follow him as he hops down. Orin adjusts his cloak and follows quickly after.

The group quickly follow after the two sliding down the side of the building, though psalm seems to hitch his hooves on some stonework, nearly chipping them oww....his pedicure. The rest make it down quick enough and follow as Vorde begins leading the way through the shadowed alleys, as stealthily as they can to avoid detection from the increased patrols. Vorde keeping the lead and lookout helps the group manage to get by without sticking out too much.

Finally they all slowly come to a stop at an alley corner, as they come close they steal a glance at the palace, it looks as regal in the daylight as it did on the night the group all first stood before it, its peaks reaching high into the sky. The large light blue and white extravagant building dwarfs their forms, though it no longer has the inviting warm glow and festive aura as it did before. Guards stand alert and in a large number around the streets and on top of the walls, the main gates firmly shut with two royal guardsmen stationed in front of it at the top of the stairs leading up to it. Vorde quickly calls the group to attention.

Vorde: “follow my lead and don't put up too much of a fight, be sure to make sour enough faces to be convincing however, at least until you’re called before the court” he pulls the rope out of his satchel Keva: keva's face sours upon seeing the ropes come out no problem Han: hans been sour this whole time no worries bruv, i also keep a look out, like hans basically constantly alert and trying take in every little thing Psalm: psalm just stoic face as per usual, elevator music Rokka: im a celebrity im good at this, jk rokka is nervous af Plum: i always look kinda sour anyways Cimmorro: 😳 cimm like this Chip: cimm a freak like dat Psalm: LOOOL Cimmorro: oh no you caught mee, what ever shall i do, arrest this Plum: shut up shut up Han: cimm 😳 damn u pulling out ropes on the first date?

Vorde moves to hand some of the rope to Orin and they get to tying the six of the groups hands up, not too tightly but convincingly enough. He hands the rope holding Keva and Psalm off to Orin, and Han and Rokka to Finn, holding Plum and Cimmorro’s in his own. 

Vorde: "right then, plays about to begin, stay calm and follow my lead" he gives orin and finn both a nod Han: han nudges rokka to get his attention Rokka: tilts head at han ? Han: han points to vorde and makes a stupid face while pretending to talk seriously Rokka: rokka tries to stifle his laughs Finn: finn peeks out from under his scarf and squints Han: han stops immediately if she sees finn looking Rokka: rokka making snorting sounds from failing to not laugh Finn: I WAS GONNA WRITE THAT FINN HAS A SOMEWHAT APOLOGETIC LOOK BUT THEN YOU SENT THAT POKI Han: han is the picture of innocence Finn: finns rolls his eyes and turns his attention elsewhere

Psalm: well this works out pretty nicely doesn't it, since i've been kind of curious about you. Orin: he just raises a brow Keva: keva looks at psalm Psalm: he just smiles Ghester: [plays laughtrack.mp3 in ur head] Psalm: well i'm not the most learned person out there, but i was a bit curious how you came to start working for vorde is all Keva: you ask a lot of questions for someone who doesn't answer them Psalm: i think you're misunderstanding, i'm not asking anything. if i had an answer there'd be nothing to be curious about. Vorde pulls the two behind him ahead on the ropes and marches proudly into the street, walking at a speedy pace followed by Orin and Finn, the group gets as far up the stairway to the main gates as possible before the entourage is spotted by the various nearby royal guardsman.

Immediately they hear a few shouts ahead of them as the two royal guards by the door call out to Vorde to halt, looking the group also notice the guards on the walls train arrows on their forms. Behind, nearby guards quickly run up to flank the group, surrounding them.

Keva: keva tenses up as the guards approach Han: han too, also making note of fucking everything, how many people, exits, all that shit Rokka: rokka also does the tense Plum: plum stands a little closer to cimm and vorde Psalm: psalm is also just scoping the place out for good measure

Vorde: he clears his throat before speaking loudly and plainly “I, Vorde Barvotte of Antessa, have found and bring to you now, the assassins and wanted fugitives responsible for the carnage during the Elfonsent Ball but not a few nights ago” he continues a little less loudly with his brow furrowed “I bring grave news regarding their actions and future plans of attack on the city, i demand to be brought before the nobility and kings at once to relay this pertinent information immediately” the two royal guardsman in front of him pause for a moment and eyeball the group behind him bound in ropes.

Han appears to get the stink eye specifically from one of the guardsmen before the guard on the right, presumably the guard captain speaks up.

Guard Captain: “there are only 5 assassins left alive to my knowledge 'good' sire, and wasn't one of em' a lupin?” she turns her head to the other guard as if to ask for confirmation, he nods his head. Vorde: he clasps his hands together before responding “it appears you were not thorough enough in your investigation of the body then guard captain, it is of dire importance this error is rectified wouldn't you agree? as for the second question" he looks over at finn and gestures for him to bring chris rokksworth pop sensation forward Han: pop sensation chris rokksworth cant be bad! hes a star! Rokka: silly! hes just getting into his new movie role!

Finn brings Rokka forward as prompted by Vorde, reaching for Rokka’s bound hands Vorde pulls off the ring shifting his form immediately back to his lupin one.

Vorde: "These assassins are crafty wouldn't you say, hiding their faces to avoid detection." he gives you a quick look rokka that to you seems like hes saying gj bro Rokka: rokka just makes a surprised face :OOOOOOO

Satisfied, Vorde turns curtly and pushes Rokka back to where he was standing before, turning back to the guard captain. She squints at him and then quickly turns and raises her arm, ordering the nearby guardsman to examine the tied up members of the party for any weapons.

Han: han probably has all her weapons on her.... she grits her teeth over this lol, han glaring dagger into whoever has her stuff lmao Rokka: [nooo dont confiscate my swords] Keva: keva scowls as a guard approaches her and pats her down Han: eat shit copper

Orin tries to give Keva and Psalm placating looks throughout the process while not being obvious. The six members of the party have all their physical weapons removed from their persons. The guardsman on the right clears her throat seemingly satisfied with her appraisal and shouts at the guards on the walls to lift the gates, as she does Vorde gives the group a barely noticeable nod and continues speaking.

Vorde: “I must be bring them all before the nobility themselves as soon as possible, their testimony will be important for what i am to tell the royalty, i cannot explain their actions without them and the imminent threat to the city without them”  Guard Captain: she responds with a curt “you want to bring assassins before the kings for a second time?” Vorde: they are bound and weaponless, they couldn't hurt more than a fly as they stand now, beaten and docile. I'm sure you’ve a great manner of ways to check before they are brought anywhere near the nobility but i stress, i must speak to them with all of the fugitives present. It is of the greatest importance

The group watch the main gates slowly rise as Vorde speaks, hearing the grunting of guards nearby as they work it open. They’re all ushered ahead by the guardsmen behind them to walk through the gates. Stepping over the threshold they feel a wash of something pass over them as they enter the perimeter of the palace before moving along. 

Ghester: In the back of your head Psalm you hear Ghester make almost what sounds like a grunt of pain before hearing him whisper “....nasty enchantments in place now i see” Psalm: psalm's just looks at orin like eh could be worse, oh wait

Psalm: psalm just tries to mask cough asking ghester "are you alright?" in infernal Ghester: you hear a strained hmm as he speaks "nothing that will kill me but it shall be a persistent pain for a while i suppose, im being forcefully restrained is how i would put it. dont worry, i'll do my best to keep a watchful eye" Psalm: quietly "hmm, i wasn't that concerned about them taking my stuff but knowing that i guess i should be. although i can't really say i'm surprised they'd have you covered too." Ghester: he gives a dreary sigh Psalm: what do you want me to kiss it better? tough it out man! you're like a million years old aren't you? Ghester: he doesn't respond Psalm: * slightly concerned *

Keva: keva's gone from staring warily at the guards to staring at psalm talking to himself Han: 🤨 Psalm: psalm like why y'all staring at me Han: cant a man talk to himself every once in a while Psalm: thats what im saying

As the group walk through they all hear the guard captain Vorde is speaking to respond with a “we’ll see” before she pulls another guard over and motions for them to run ahead of the group with a message.

They quickly take off, the guard captain then turns and motions for Vorde and the entourage to follow close behind. The group are all ushered through a grand main garden, blooming flowers of yellow and blue and large plants bracket the main pathway. They feel plenty of eyes on then as they’re lead through the grounds.

The group is pushed towards the main palace entrance doors and a grand entrance foyer, flanked by royal guardsmen as they enter. There are a number more than there were during the Ball they notice as they’re are ushered down a tall corridor to the right, the royal guardsman marching along with them the whole way.

Eventually in one of the corridors they are brought to a stop. Soon after the messenger that was sent ahead earlier rushes back, as he heaves out of breath the guard captain mutters an impatient “and…?” he stands puffing before sidling up to whisper in her ear, she makes a sour face afterwards.

Guard Captain: “You’re to be examined before i bring you before the court” she points at a nearby door “inside” 

The group are once again hauled through by the guards. They find themselves led through a door to what appears to be an old and ornate looking library, though somewhat messy looking, before being ordered to sit upon a set of chairs lined up near a long wooden table.

The ceiling here is high and there are various potted plants strewn about the tall cases of old tomes, ladders with wheels on the bottom are affixed to the large wooden bookshelves. Orin seems to be looking about the large room with curiosity as if he cant help himself.

Psalm: psalm is same he's basically like "oh shit! books!!" Han: han keeps glaring at the guard who took all her shit n gritting her teeth Finn: finn also letting his eyes wander a little around the room Keva: keva also looks around and takes it all in warily

After a few minutes of waiting you all see the door open again as a woman wearing a large hat with aqua toned skin steps through, fins sprouting from her face.

Han: han briefly looks at her, then does a double take.  Rokka: anxiety sky rockets

The woman appears as if she's a triton, the race typically live underwater they suppose shorewater is located on the sea, not strange for the people to make their way into the politics of the country on the oceans doorstep.

Carrying papers with her they note that she appears to be formally dressed, though they aren't quite sure of her station. She moves towards the table with a nod and places the notes and items she seems to be carrying down with a quick huff and turning to the guardsman

Mardella: “I’m here to examine the accused, i shall cast a general spell then probe further if i need too” as she speaks she brushes an errant hair behind one of her fins. Han: raise ur hand if u dont wanna get zone of truth-ed Plum: I DO I DO I WANNA GET ZONE OF TRUTHED MAKE THIS NIGHTMARE END I'M INNOCENT Han: AKLDSF;LKHRAWLKHHESGDLKAW;LKJ4F all my charm spell nightmares coming to life

Mardella: turning to the three not seated she continues “I am guessing you are Vorde Barotte then?” Vorde: he gives a small bow in response “yes that is correct” Mardella: she hmms and continues “I am curious as to how you apprehended them all when the guardsman had such difficulty, but you seem to express a great desire to speak before the kings themselves so i will leave the needling for the moment” she turns back to the rest of you seated in the chairs “right then this shall take me some time”

She moves to sit at the long table and picks up the papers she was holding. Just then the group also notice she also has a quill and a pot of ink near her. She quickly gets to work drawing notes of some sort before standing.

She walks back to the 6 of them and speaks casting a spell, she seems to grip something at her neck glowing a white light for a moment before relenting. She casts the Zone of Truth of spell, affecting all of them except for Psalm and Cimmorro. Should they speak now they can only respond truthfully.

Psalm: i almost wished cimm failed that just to force him to speak properly Plum: cimm says peenus weenus fr and this woman is like, i am in the presence of a complicated mind... a puzzle box Cimmorro: JKGSDGJSG now everyone's in MY world Chip: lets start with your childhood cimmorro Cimmorro: AM I AT THERAPY? Mardella: she clasps her hands in front of herself and speaks "i shall ask you a series of questions, i expect you to cooperate with this process" she pauses and continues "are any you of currently under the effects of a spell, intended to deceive?" Mardella: she humms "and a final one, were you all here on the night of the Elfonsent Ball?" Han: yes Keva: yes Cimmorro: yup Psalm: yes Plum: ya Rokka: yup

Mardella: satisfied she nods and unclasps her hands "thank you for complying" 

The woman walks back to the end of the table where she placed her papers and begins to draw with the ink and quill, what look like runes of a sort, whispering under her breath, they figure shes slowly casting another spell.

They sit in silence under the watch of the guardsman, about ten minutes pass before she seems to finish, a quick glow bursts from her hands and she stands once again, coming to scrutinise them all. She then slowly examines them all one by one from a distance, making her way down the line before stopping after a time, seemingly satisfied.

Mardella: “I’ve not detected anything suspicious in the way of magic for now” she stands and dusts her dress slightly “i shall go and inform the kings, lead them to the court hall once you are ready” she turns and gives Vorde a slight bow before standing and leaving the room. 

Han: oh that was a detect magic not identify, i was like how is psalm not pinging -  warlock pact Cimmorro: psalm big dong pinging under the radar of mommy Psalm: yeah everything about that is horrible jez Chip: psalm back on pornhub Psalm: everything about what you just said is terrible, GOD, THIS IS LIKE THE THIRD TIME Plum: jez, jez i will beat you one day Cimmorro: Nicj9jjoflkeneje

The guard captain satisfied, motions for the guards to haul the group out of the room and back through the palace, the other three following close behind. Once more they are led through the tall corridors of the palace into a more minimalistically decorated area, though it seems everywhere in this place is covered in plush long carpets. Eventually they are all brought before a large set of double doors, taller than themselves, and brought to a stop. 

The guard captain stands at attention before them all, bringing Vorde, Finn and Orin in front of the group, before turning and lightly knocking on the door. A moment passes and soon after what they assume to be a secretary of sorts sticks his head out and whispers in her ear before leaning back inside and closing the door.

Plum: [fidgeting] Rokka: [fidgeting] Han: han is stoic tense n grimacing the usual Keva: keva's like, lightly scuffing the plush carpet with a shoe as she looks around Psalm: psalm sneezes Chip: ghester doesn't say bless you

Guard Captain: she turns back to you all and speaks “You have been granted an audience with the kings, the princess, the archmage and the high arcane adviser. You will speak when spoken too and keep your hands to yourself, if i notice but a hair out of place, you're out the door. As for the rest of you-” she cranes her head “try anything again and we’ll gut you where you stand, am i clear?” Plum: i heard one of the kings is really hot, IM JK Han: KKHDA;SLKHFALKHEFDS Cimmorro: JDJFKROEDLDM so ure saying hes not? 🤔

The guard captain turns and pushes open the doors walking ahead. Vorde, Orin and Finn follow after her as the rest of the group are pushed along behind by the royal guardsman. They all enter what looks like a large chamber, a small set of stairs leading down into a large circle with an ornate design in its centre, tall pillars along either end. At the centre hanging over the centre of the large circle is a lit chandelier, clean in its design.

Across and up another set of stairs appears to be 5 seats, two more ornately decorated than the others, each sat upon by a person flanked by stone statues. The two kings Jermiah and Peruvus Argotts, sit in the two at the centre, flanked by princess Forrin Argott. Next to them sits a gnome in ornate garb, and the woman from earlier, Mardella. 

The chamber has a set of royal guardsmen lined up on either end of the wall at attention, the group is slowly led down to the centre of the room as the guard captain in front of them speaks, head bowed low.

Guard Captain: your majesty's, i bring Vorde Barvotte of Antessa and his associates, as well as the 6 fugitives wanted for the events that occurred during the Efonsent Ball” she then steps back and aside, allowing Vorde, Finn and Orin to stand facing the court instead. “He claims to have pertinent information regarding their plans and a future plan of attack upon the city, he desired to relay this directly to the court.” The eyes of the five soon land on Vorde as he folds his arms behind his back.

Jeremiah: the king consort speaks up first “Well no need to keep us in suspense sire, speak freely. Mind we are a bit on edge at the moment so if possible it would be well for us to keep this audience brief” Turen: you hear the gnome woman speak up soon after him with a sigh “better for us to be taking no audiences at this time with the work to be done right now” Forrin: The princess responds soon after “we can't turn down any information at this time Turen, even if it ends up being a farce. Though I doubt the good sir would jeopardise himself so readily in such a precarious time, correct?” she tilts her head slightly with a glance at Vorde. Vorde: He responds with a small bow and a brief “of course your highness” Jermiah: he once again waves his hand as if prompting Vorde to begin speaking once more. Cimmorro: speak now thot Plum: plum is just listening to them say words and not absorbing any of it,  just thinking i am looking at the faces of the rulers of this country right now, i wonder what my parents would think Finn: finn looking at these people like man theyre richer than us Cimmorro: we start dancing behind him, interactive presentation Han: we start doing fortnite dances Psalm: psalm is also like hmm wonder what my parents would think, how did i end up here

Vorde: standing straight again he begins “I bring important news of dire events but more notably i must stress an important detail first. The 6 fugitives behind me stand accused of heinous crimes towards the court and the sanctity of this city and country, but I've proof they were merely innocent bystanders who were used. Their faces stolen to be equipped as masks in crimes against this country” He straightens his back slightly before continuing “On my person i have a pieces of evidence that point towards the true culprits behind the attack on your persons your majesty’s, a cult known by the moniker ‘The Red Letterheads’ who deal in disgusting acts for a purpose i do not fully understand myself yet” 

 As Vorde speaks the group see the 5 sitting in front of him watch with rapt attention, he details the evidence they’ve all found and presents his satchel, leaving it upon the ground for examination as he speaks. The guard captain takes the satchel and walks it to the gnome Turen and Mardella who begin to examine its contents.

Throughout his monologue he turns to each member of the party to provide testimony or speak upon the things they have seen and encountered over the past few days to prove their innocence, and the letterheads being the true culprits before leaving the closing argument to Finn.

Han: uses her outlander feat to provide testimony explaining the groups movements precisely retracing their steps and describing the letterheads place

Psalm: persuades them that the night started with the group being either hired as vinny's bodyguards or brought along as his +1's and the reason why they chose them for doppelgangers was because they were apparently easy targets

Plum: talks about the fact that they only came to shorewater to talk to vorde and then was going to fuck off back to talornia or wherever - they say "fuck off back to" and then are like ah oops

Keva: say she was talking with silversoul and was in his vicinity during the attack, so she saw him stabbed and wasn't around vinny who her doppelganger was seen stabbing bc she was across the ballroom -  [ psalm jumps in on keva's point to say that he had seen the letterhead member that stabbed vinny before she disguised herself as keva and that they later apprehended her and got information out of her ]

Rokka: mentions that he was speaking to vorde with han and plum at the ball,  BRO IM JUST A JOCK

Cimmorro: speaks precisely about the methods of necromancy the group saw, including the undead zombies and the blood clones.

Finn: for the closing statement he emphasises keva’s testimony re:gintama and cimmorro’s regarding the blood clones. Tying that in with the evidence the group  have and making it clear that the real perpetrators have pressing motives that need to be investigated with utmost urgency

Finn eventually closes out the argument, nervously taking a breath as he finishes speaking. In front of them the group watch as the court thinks of the things the party has relayed, most of them with their brows furrowed. 

Psalm: i hope this turns into a "glad we brought him!" situation Cimmorro: PLZ 🥺

Peruvus: finally he speaks up “So this is true then? I had suspicions this was part of a greater plot but it appears to have become all the truer with every word you’ve spoken.”  Jeremiah: “The inconsistencies within your testimony make sense if the culprits were in fact doppelgangers, a cult hmm” looking at you Finn he continues "you said his name was Theyord?” Han: han zones out for a sec and then goes "i believe he also went by ansam?" Finn: finn pulls down his scarf slightly. "Indeed. But my uncle has a better account of this, if you do not mind him relaying it in my place." and just. eyeballs vorde. motioning for him to take over. Cimmorro: this is finn the whole time but crying

Vorde: Yes, your majesty, i think in a previous life he may have gone by the name Ansam, i'm unsure of its relevance at the moment Jeremiah: at that he seems to think for a moment before frowning and putting a hand to his face to think, not speaking after. Turen: next to him the archmage speaks up “This tome is certifiably filled with black magic, the kind you often dont see used on the material plane by living creatures because of how complicated the runes are. If this cult's patron is Mephisto then that is most certainly where they got these litany of spells, he just gives them out to anyone who asks now? This devil gives me a headache…” she turns towards the three standing members of royalty before continuing “i can confirm the contents of this tome are indeed teemed toward necromancy and mind control, it may explain a few things. The enchantments on these items feel like the scratchings of the desperate” she looks over at you cimmorro "seems he knows what hes talking about" Cimmorro: cimm just looks back at them like <:3c

Keva and Han attempt to study the king consort’s reaction to the name Ansam but dont get much aside from the fact that he recognises it, theyre unsure how affected he is right now by its mention. Han does note that the 5 seem to be seriously considering the groups argument, seems Finn’s closing argument was quite strong. 

Psalm also thinks now and considers if he’s heard the name Ansam before, he thinks that perhaps faintly he may have heard it somewhere back home, thinking that it sounds like it could be the name of tiefling. Though he doesnt get much else. Soon after Cimmorro is praised Mardella once again speaks up 

Mardella: “i do not think they're lying about the stolen faces, we had the suspicion already. Once we removed the ring upon the corpse in the palace it changed its face completely, it's of the same make as the one I hold now” she twirls the disguise ring around in the light. “Your majesty’s, your highness, i too can confirm the authenticity of these items as Turen just did” Forrin: at this she responds, lifting her arm slightly, beckoning towards the guard captain “as a gesture of trust, i’d like you to remove their bindings as they stand before us captain” 

Quickly bowing, the guard captain walks over to the group of six, Orin, Finn and Vorde drop the ropes as she quickly cuts each member free one by one, their hands allowed to roam as they please. Other royal guards step forward to take the ropes and remove them from the hall as the king begins to speak once more.

Peruvus: “I'm going to choose to believe the events you’ve just relayed to us to be truth, in which case I apologise for the rough treatment you’ve no doubt undergone in place of our true culprits. It must not have been easy gathering all of this information.” He turns to you Finnian, and continues “earlier your group said there was an immediate dire threat facing us, can you explain? Or was this also part of the farce to gain an audience with us” he clasps his hands over his knees as he speaks, leaning forward slightly “we’ve upped the city’s defences somewhat since the assassination attempts and the return of our archmage, but there have been unusual happenings i've noticed over the past day. I’d like to know what you can tell me and if you’ve any further leads”  Psalm: If I may, what are these 'unusual happenings' you're referring to? Peruvus: he shits his attention over towards you psalm and responds "The mayor caused a great hullabaloo at the government ward gates, it appears as if he started a fist fight with all the nearby guardsmen out of the blue. None were eager to bring him down as he was already still injured from the Ball’s events" he rubs the bridge of his nose as if beleaguered "Similarly a cleric from the church of Heiron was seen pounding on the gates in the church district soon after his recovery within his own church's walls, he resisted any attempts from the guardsman to calm him and had to be restrained..." Keva: keva frowns @ news abt panaver Han: han tsks kind of to herself

Psalm: I see. Well going off what we know so far the cult has the ability to both disguise themselves, but their leader can temporarily possess the followers as well. The cleric is one of the wounded from the night of the ball, so that at least explains his breakdown. Keva: "silversoul" keva says, quieter than she usually speaks Psalm: sorry what was that Keva: keva huffs and says louder "his name was panaver silversoul. he was the one i was talking to." Han: we think who was stabbed, is who can be controlled by theyord Finn: "It was not a farce. Our investigation has proven that the Letterheads have been preparing to perform a ritual. Perhaps some sort of summoning. The language they used suggested serious danger. Tightened defenses or not, Shorewater is vulnerable." Finn sighs and closes his eyes for a second. "it might be of interest for you to know that they possess portals that lead to various different places in Shorewater, possibly outside of it." Psalm: With that being said, we don't really have the specifics of the 'dire' event the letterheads have planned. But for the most part they seem intent on 'punishing' Shorewater. Oh, and they plan to carry out this punishment within the next few days. Plum: i'd give us less than two days. Psalm: If even so much. We did however, infiltrate their base, so assuming they haven't left we know the whereabouts and have an idea of what it's like inside

Cimmorro:  is finn still wearing all of his layers during the entirety of this Finn: yes Cimmorro: perfect,  he's just waddling around while explaining things

Forrin: ...a large scale attack… we’ll need Turen to scour that tome for any sort of spell that might indicate to what exactly they’re attempting, perhaps that Accord wizard might assist us. We must further up the guard presence along the walls and call a lockdown perhaps.. Jeremiah: perhaps we ought evacuate the city entirely, though I wonder if we’d have enough time, if we were caught while people are outside their homes en masse it could worsen the situation entirely… Mardella: i think a lockdown would be a better course of action, if we set about activating the city wide enchantments quickly the people would be safer inside their homes than out Jeremiah: he nods in response “hmm this is true, we’ll need to expend all our effort into organising the guard as quickly as possible more than we already have, we ought to bulk up the church and government ward gates specifically as well. Its good to know we've a location to crack down on then as well. We ought to arrange a group of guardsman and mages to flush them out post hate as well..

Forrin calls over the guard captain and the secretary seated at the desk close by and begins relaying orders for them to begin sending out along with Peruvus. Jeremiah however continues to address the group as they do.

Jeremiah: Travellers and esteemed Barvottes. I King Consort Jeremiah, am now asking formally for your aid in this time of crisis, we are stretched thin and with not knowing what to expect the city needs as much help and eyes as we can give her. You will be compensated greatly for helping the city of Shorewater, and the country of Dorrin itself in its coming time of crisis. As well as for the hardships you have already endured, is there a name I might refer to you all as going forward?” Vorde: he turns his head at you all expectantly afterwards as well.

Cimmorro: wow even on dnd we quarantine Chip: social distancing to save from cults Psalm: damn jeremiah if you're asking like that... 👉👈 Cimmorro: jeremiah stan club Plum: sir can i get your autograph

The group then scramble to decide on a name, quickly forming a group huddle amongst themselves.

Cimmorro: cimm does a poor attempt to huddle us all up and goes "lets just go with peenus weenus" Plum: whispering heatedly "shut up cimm shut up" Psalm: sure why not, i'm sure whatever dignity we have left doesn't matter anymore right? Han: tries not to choke

Finn: finn coughs uncomfortably at cimm's suggestion. "we could simply refer to ourselves as a strike force." Han: do we even have anything that makes us one Psalm: vinny's strike force... to honour him since he's dead. /s Cimmorro: the brokebacks Plum: SHUTGUUPPGPF

Cimmorro: while everyone is debating i just walk up to the king and goes like we're the vengaboys -  "your majesty i present to you the vengaboys" Jeremiah: he looks towards you cimmorro and tilts his head "vengaboys? i see, well then Vengaboys-" and he turns to the rest of you all "i would like to ask again for finality's sake, do you have any more possible leads at the moment?" Cimmorro: i turn back to everyone and gives a thumbs up Psalm: psalm gives a thumbs up back Vorde: [internally] tf does venga mean Psalm: TF DOES VENGA MEAN Chip: vengeance boys... Cimmorro: ^ Keva: boys for vengeance Finn: 

Psalm responds afterwards, informing the king consort that the only one they have would be the hideout as they’ve never met Theyord in person, Han emphasising only when hes possessed someone. He also brings up the notes in the back of the book, noting Shelly’s name and that she may be in possible danger.

Keva: i step a little closer to psalm and say "tell them about those people we ran into down there" Psalm: psalm just folds his arms and does what keva asks Keva: YYYEEAAAAHHH

Han: when theres a pause han also asks "what about the assassin that you caught? who are they?" Jeremiah: he looks over at you "they weren't caught per say, the guards struck them right in the ballroom before they could strike at us, dead in seconds." he thinks "we examined the body of course but as far as we could tell they weren't a Shorewater native, i dont think they were from Dorrin originally either. The most we could glean was they had a brand upon their back in the shape of a symbol once we removed the disguise”

Forrin then returns her attention to the conversation at hand, seemingly her and her brother Peruvus have finished issuing orders for the moment, having been paying attention to the ongoing conversation.

Peruvus: “We shall work on the assignment of the guardsmen across the city and deciphering all we can from the tome you’ve given us, as well as bolster the city's magic defences, and declare a lockdown. Once you return from investigating Shelly Carter’s abode I would ask you to assist us directly in these tasks. At the most i can spare some guardsmen to assist you in this endeavour, it would be best i think to send one of the captains in charge of the arcana district to help your investigation. I will send word for you to meet them at the district gates, it would be best for us to move as quickly as possible”  Turen: in response to this archmage stands “if i am no longer needed your majesty i shall consort with Mardella and the witch from the accord, my workload has suddenly increased tenfold” she rolls her shoulders as if gearing up for a fist fight.

Jeremiah nods and waves her and Mardella off, the two stand and leave the room via one of the large doors, finally him and the other two royals stand 

Jeremiah: “The royal guardsman shall escort you off the palace grounds and send word across the city that you aren't to be approached in your travel, should you require any food or rest before you head off you may use one of the rooms in the palace. The guardsmen will direct you.” Peruvus: “return as soon as you are able, we’ve not a moment to waste” Psalm: I don't speak for everyone here, but as it's still early in the day I don't think we'll be here for long before heading onto our next task Peruvus: looks towards you psalm and nods "of course, whatever suits you for the moment" He looks back towards Vorde addressing him directly "thank you again for your aid in this time from your family, sire Barvotte, it shall not be forgotten. As well as for you, Vengaboys, may we meet to discuss what comes next soon with higher hopes" 

The royal guard captain stands and rises as the royals give the group a small courteous bow which Vorde returns doubly so. The party and co. are ushered back out of the doors of the grand courthall their names now clear, their next task pressing on their minds....

May I have Aspasia helping Kassandra put on her armor and Aspasia noticing the scars on her arm, asking her the story behind it? I've been wondering if it's rope burns or blade marks for awhile since it looks way too wrapped around her arm to be from an animal. It's up to you to make it angsty or fluffy or both lol.

Prompt: a very lazy and sensual kasspasia morning. Bonus- phoibe runs up to their bed and jumps up on them to wake them up.

Morning light filtered through the sheer curtains, a fresh breeze causing them to flutter lightly. An eagle call in the distance caused Kassandra to stir slightly. Glancing up with a squint she sighed at the light and flopped her head back down with a grunt, nuzzling her face into Aspasia’s hair who lay on her arm - which Kassandra noticed was quite dead. Semi-splayed on her back Aspasia let out quiet snores, one hand resting across her naked chest and the other loosely holding Kassandra’s dead hand. Their legs were entwined, naked bodies pressed against one another in pure comfort. Kassandra began tracing Aspasia’s body with one finger, trailing over her shoulder and down and across the arm that lay on her chest. The other woman stirred slightly, letting out a sleepy sigh while Kassandra continued tracing over her body, leaving a soft kiss periodically on her shoulder. Down and over her belly, noticing the involuntary goosebumps rising under her fingers and Aspasia let out another sigh, sloppily trying to swat Kassandra’s hand away. The misthios moved her hand enough to miss the hit before continuing her journey - concentrating on the ridges of Aspasia’s hipbones and tracing her groin lines.

“It is quite unfair for you to wake me just because you are awake.” Aspasia grumbled, her voice crackly and sleepy. She was frowning, her eyes still closed hoping for sleep to return. Kassandra leaned forward and nuzzled into Aspasia’s neck and kissed down onto her shoulder as the other woman stretched a little - finally opening her eyes to meet the soft gaze of her lover. She smiled and let go of Kassandras hand to trace down her face - learning forward to press their lips together in a gentle kiss. 

“I could not exactly go anywhere to entertain myself could I?” Kassandra teased, wiggling her arm that rested under Aspasias head - to which she just rolled her eyes at and sat up a little so the misthios could retrieve it. Dropping flat back onto the bed with a grunt, Aspasia yawned stretching her body out as much as she could while Kassandra watched on - her entire being filled with contentment. As Aspasia went to sit up she grabbed her arm and yanked her back down to the bed, placing a hand next to her head and leaning over her with a smile so she couldn’t get up.

“I thought you wanted to get up?” Aspasia murmured, sitting up on her elbows to meet Kassandras mouth as she smirked.

“No, I just wanted you to wake up.” She responded and kissed Aspasia deeply eliciting a small moan from her. Her free hand continued on with her exploration, brushing over her groin causing her to open her legs slightly in anticipation,  a slight whimper escaping. “You are so… placid in the mornings.” Kassandra murmured against her mouth , and Aspasia frowned slightly, before lacing her hands around Kassandra neck and threading her fingers into the misthios loose hair and pulled ever so slightly to give her access to the womans neck. She left a few kisses, using her teeth to brush against her pulse points - receiving her own moans of pleasure from it before reconnecting their mouths. Before Kassandra could even retaliate Aspasia used her strength to push up against Kassandra and push her backwards, her leg flipping over the misthios hips until she was straddling her. She broke the kiss and sat up smiling down at Kassandra, running her hands down the bare muscular chest to settle on tracing her abs.

“There truly is no sight better to wake up to than the sight of your own personal goddess in your bed.” Aspasia purred, Kassandra’s hands running and down her thighs with a cocky grin. She quickly closed the gap between them again and kissed Kassandra, sighing into it.

“Gross!” A loud shout startled the two of them and Aspasia yelped as Kassandra shot up causing their heads to knock together. Aspasia fell back slightly from her position while trying to grab some sheets to cover herself up as Phoibe came barreling into the room and dived on the bed next to them with a grin. Kassandra was flushed bright red and shoved Aspasia off her lap, attempting half-heartedly to make her nakedness not so obvious. She wasn’t ashamed of Phoibe seeing her naked - they had often slept summer nights on Kephallonia with little to no clothing on but she felt shame for letting the young girl see them in that position together.

“Phoibe! Wha-what are you doing just bursting in here!” She stuttered and Phoibe blew a bored noise out through her lips.

“Myrrine sent me up here to get you two.” She poked Kassandra’s thigh and grinned over it at Aspasia who was lying on her stomach by this point - trying to hide behind Kassandra’s larger form. Were you winning the wrestling match, Aspie?” She asked, her tone mischievous but her face bearing an almost overly innocent look. Slight red flush crept onto the normally unphased woman’s cheeks - whether in relation to the question or the nickname Kassandra couldn’t tell.

“We weren’t wrestling…” Aspasia started before glancing worriedly at Kassandra. “We were - um…” She trailed off and Phoibe laughed, flopping onto her back.

“I know. I am just joking with you.” Aspasia let out a frustrated grunt and dropped her forehead to the bed as Kassandra began roughly tickling the girl.

“You are a brat!” She said playfully causing the girl to burst into fits of laughter before she managed to wiggle away and jumped off the bed. 

“Myrrine say’s you need to hurry!” She shouted over her shoulder as she ran to the door. “You know how impatient she gets.” Phoibe turned her head and rolled her eyes at the two women before gleefully prancing out of the room. Kassandra flopped backward on the bed with a groan.

“How does she have so much energy in the morning!” She exclaimed, closing her eyes. Aspasia let out a small snort of disbelief.

“I do remember not even 5 minutes ago you had quite a bit of energy.” She mused, tracing the Kassandra bicep absentmindedly. Her fingers particularly interested in the rough and raised scar tissue that wrapped around it. She could feel a slight quiver to her muscle - making the assumption the skin was sensitive. Kassandra closed her eyes, reveling in the simplicity of the other woman’s touch.

“You can talk.” She muttered out sleepily, her body relaxing. Aspasia stared at the scars - not for the first time - and frowned slightly when she realised how neatly they wrapped around her arm. 

“Kassandra?” She approached curiously.

“Hmm?”

“How did you get the scars on your arm?” Kassandra shifted slightly and lifted her arm up to look at them.

“I honestly thought you would have asked me that a long time ago.” She said, twisting slightly back and forth to study them before dropping her arm back down as Aspasia could continue her stroking. 

“I suppose, I just assumed it was from an animal until just now when I noticed they seemed to wrap around.” She said - proving her point with her fingers. Kassandra hummed in agreement.  

“You would be correct.” She closed her eyes again and sighed. “When I was young and Markos was training me to fight like a misthios a group of bandits found my training yard - I was by myself - a few years older than Phoibe. The bandits attempted to kidnap me and one slipped a rope over my body to tie me up. I managed to get out while they were taking a piss in celebration. In my struggle to stand and run I did not realise i had gotten my arm caught in some of the coils." Aspasia began peppering it with small kisses before resting her chin on it to watching Kassandra’s face.

 “As I got up to run a bandit turned and noticed me and grabbed the rope to pull me back but I resisted with all my strength and tried to pull my arm out as he dragged me back. I didn’t feel the pain at the time but due to the back and forth between us the rope had sliced deep into my arm. He eventually succeeded and managed to drag me back but the stupid fucking malaka did not pay enough attention to me. I had managed to grab my spear during the struggle and I stabbed it through his eye when he leant down to me. Using the resulting chaos I then used my spear to slice through the rope - only with the rush I ended up cutting my arm at the same time.” Kassandra reached over and traced each one to indicate which was which. Aspasia stroked her hand for a moment before sitting up and leaning over to kiss her gently.

“Your childhood was so tough for you.” She said quietly, almost ashamedly, pressing their foreheads together which caused them both to simultaneously yelp and jerk back from a sudden pain. They stared at each for a moment in total confusion before Kassandra began giggling.

“I smashed your head with mine when Phoibe startled us.” She explained and Aspasia stared at her for a moment before letting out a laugh as well. “I am guessing we will bruise from that.” Aspasia grumpily caressed the spot.

“Fantastic. A nice siazable bruise in the middle of my forehead. A wonderful image.” She murmured and Kassandra rolled her eyes, grabbing Aspasia’s face and pulling her into a kiss.

“You will just look at bad-ass as I do.” She whispered and Aspasia couldnt help the smirk that escaped and pushed Kassandra back onto the bed.

“If that is what you call it.” She teased, before curling up on Kassandra, resting her ear against the woman’s chest - hearing the loud and fast beating heart in her and smiling at its occasional fluttering. Kassandra stroked her hair, content with simply staying in bed - trying to convince herself to ignore Myrrines summons to make this morning last.

She needed a coffee now. Marinette strolled down the hospital’s corridors, getting to the bistro in which a few patients sat and sipped on their own coffee. The young woman mumbled a little greeting but none of them answered. Shrugging, she fed the coffee machine and leaned her head against it. Only then, she noticed the voice that sounded like a TV newsreader, obviously upset about something. Because of that, nobody had answered then. She nodded but continued to lean onto the machine while it gently vibrated on her forehead. When she received her coffee, she turned and looked at the TV, seeing a very nervous newsreader and behind him a video of a very fast driving train.

“… Train is now, as seen here, travelling very fast and it’s between Crépy-en-Valois and Nanteuil-le-Haudouin by now. According to the last words of the train driver before the radio was disconnected, he has been knocked out by the terrorist group AKUMA, obviously with the goal to crash into Gare du Nord with this cargo train which is loaded with dangerous chemicals. The train is-…”

Marinette didn’t need to hear the rest. Without hesitation, she abandoned the hot cup of coffee on a table and dialed Tikki’s number while running to her superior, hastily scribbling down another number on a flyer she grabbed while exiting the bistro.

“Hello Marinette.”, Tikki greeted her, “What is-…”

“Why am I being informed by the TV rather than you?”, she snapped, pressing herself to the wall to make room for a bed that was moved past her.

“The police are on it, Marinette, and you are working. It is not necessary for you to set your identity on stake to try and stop-…”

“The AKUMA is behind this, Tikki! I have a helicopter and I’m giving your cover number to my superior now. I’m moving out.”

“You always were a bit of a hothead, Marinette. Do you think you can deal with this?”

“I know I can. You taught me well. Can you make sure nobody gets into my way?”

“Certainly. But you’ll get fired, you know that?”

Marinette set on her grim face as she ran up the stairs.

“I don’t care, this is bigger than my job.”

“Please don’t get carried away, alright?”

“I’m hotheaded, remember? Of course, I will!”, she grinned when she barged into the office of her superior, at the same time hanging up her call with Tikki and slamming the piece of paper with the number on it on the desk.

“I’m heading out with the helicopter, if you have questions call this number!”

She emerged out without another word, running into Tia as she opened the door to the landing platform.

“Marinette? Is everything alright? You wanted to-…”

“Tia, I want you to stay here!”

“Wh-What?!”, the younger girl exclaimed, looked at her confused.

“Nino and I need to go and I want you to stay here, just stay here! Nino! Start the helicopter, right now!”

The young man looked startled but didn’t question it, instead he jumped inside the helicopter and started the rotors. Tia followed her regardless, still throwing as many questions at her as she could.

“Tia, listen. There’s something really important I need to set right and I don’t want you to risk your life for that. You understand?”

Only then, Tia realized Marinette had not once called her ‘greenie’. Dumbstruck, she nodded.

“Okay, stay put. And-… Tia?”

“Yes?”

“Just in case, I love you like a little sister, alright?”

In that moment, Tia knew something must’ve gone wrong. Terribly wrong.

“Marinette, wait-…!”

“Stay there!”, the young woman yelled over the loud helicopter when she entered and put on her helmet.

“So, what happened?”

“There’s a driverless train between Crépy-en-Valois and Nanteuil-le-Haudouin! I need to stop it!”

“W-Wait, what?!”

Marinette rolled her eyes when she put on her safety belt and looked back down to where Tia stared after them.

“I need you to get me above the train so that I can rope down into the driver cabin and stop it. Got it?”

Nino stared at her while directing the helicopter towards Crépy-en-Valois, tilting down the front so that they would fly faster.

“B-But-… What?!”

“Nino, I’ll take all the guilt on me, I’ll say I forced you to fly me there so you won’t lose your job but trust me on this one, okay?”

He kept his eyes on her while flying over Paris.

“Why you?! And why me?! What do we have to do with-… And what’s with that train?!”

She sighed and told him what she heard and saw on TV.

“And I just have this weird feeling I’m needed and that I can do that. So just fly me there and I’ll do the rest!”

He was still confused but shut up for the rest on the flight.

The train had passed Nanteuil-le-Haudouin by now, still heading towards Paris. By the time Marinette and Nino had sighted the train, it was just before Le-Plessis-Belleville, continuing its path at a rattling speed. She gulped when she saw just how fast the train was going.

“You okay, Mari? You know, that’s not your mission-…”

“No. Nino, it is. I have to do this. It’s my job.”

He gave her an indefinite glance, still flying towards the moving train. She got up, clinking in a carabiner in her belt, showing him thumbs up. Just when he gave back the gesture, she hesitated, pulled out her phone and dialed Alya’s number. She tried her best to block out the noise of the helicopter with her hands but she had to tell Alya she loved her.

After a few seconds, her best friend’s voice came through the speaker, sleepy but she was there. Marinette sighed relieved.

“Mari? What’s that noise…? Are you calling me from inside the helicopter?!”

“Yeah, but-… Alya, listen. I want you to know that I love you. No matter what happens next, okay? I love you.”

“Mari, what-… What are you doing? What is happening? Why are you-… Are you in trouble?!”

“Alya, I love you! See you this evening!”

With that, she interrupted her best friend’s words, putting back the phone into her pocket. Nino looked at her through clouded eyes but had managed to align the helicopters speed with the train.

“You sure?”, she heard him ask through the radio.

“Completely. Just look out for me.”

“I will, Mari.”

She pulled at the rope and it slowly gave her space, letting her stand on the skids of the helicopter waiting for Nino to fly above the driver’s cabin.

Alya got up and rubbed her eyes. Something was wrong, very wrong. As fast as she could, she got up and checked the internet for any information. When she read ‘train’ and ‘driverless’, she quickly grabbed the remote and turned on the TV. She was greeted with a soap but hurriedly changed the channel and landed on the news live, seeing a helicopter flying above a train.

“… And as it seems, two heroic emergency pilots are currently trying to get to the driver cabin of the train, to hopefully stop the train. For now-…”

Alya pulled out her phone once again, looking up what was happening. After two minutes, she dialed Adrien’s number, terrified to see on live TV that her best friend was standing on the skids of the helicopter, looking down at the moving train, obviously concentrating on roping herself down.

“Adrien?!”, she almost yelled when he accepted, surely making him flinch.

“Ow, Alya! What is it? You know I’m in the middle of a shoot-…”

“Forget it! Turn on the TV! Nino-… M-Marinette-… They-… Oh my g-god!”

“Alya? What is it? What’s happening?”

The brunette couldn’t answer. She saw that her best friend took the step out into the air, slowly roping herself down towards the train in which the AKUMA terrorists were surely waiting for her.

“Adrien, how far are you from Nino’s and my apartment?”

“About five minutes?”

“C-Come here right now. I-I think-… I think Mari’s gonna die.” “What?! Alya, I-…”

“Come here in this instant and hold me for god’s sake!”

She hung up before he could answer. Because in that moment, the helicopter which her boyfriend flew, suddenly gained in height and Marinette hadn’t been prepared for it.

“Nino! What was that all about?!”

“Sorry, Mari! I’m just looking out for you and luckily, we missed that tree branch. It would’ve been worse if the rope had been hit!”

Marinette nodded and continued to rope herself down, until she could almost touch the train with her feet but the speed made it difficult for her to manage not swinging around.

She gritted her teeth, trying to get into a better position with circling her legs.

“Mari, I can’t hold this forever!”

“Well, me neither! I’m working on it, Nino!”

She heard him moan and focused on trying to touch down gently, but after about two minutes of trying, she gave up and with a fast pull, she was down on the train’s roof. Season One: Cradle of Hope

Season one is starting to feel like we are alternating important redemption arc stories with unnecessary and forgettable stories. Since Dreamworker was our important story, episode four is our filler episode. Episode four, Cradle of Hope.

Look its not as bad as Chariots of War, but its not terribly great. Lucy’s eyes look incredibly blue in some shots which is nice but not much about it stands out.

So without further ado, lets head into it.

We open with King Gregor and his advisor Nemos being told by an oracle that Moses will take the Pharoah’s throne. Sorry no thats not quite right. Some random toddler will grow up to take King Gregor’s throne. Easy to get confused when you use one cultures legends to influence an episode.

Thats right. King Gregor is mullet man. His wife and child died 6 months ago and now he lives alone in his empty castle. Memos is clearly evil. You can tell that from the ridiculous facial hair and the fact that his skin looks plastic. I have no idea what his story is or his motivations but he is obviously the bad guy in this episode.

So true to form, the Pharaoh, i mean Gregor orders a manhunt to find this baby usurper and bring him to the castle. Remember that. The king does not order his death so he is slightly better than Pharaoh. To save the baby, random servant girl puts him in a basket and sends him down the river.

And who should find the baby:

These faces tell you everything. Gabby is overjoyed. Look how lovingly she is looking at the baby. Xena on the other hand is bemused and so unhappy that they know have a baby in their charge. No maternal instincts in our warrior princess. They decide its not a good idea to keep the baby so they head into the town just up river to find its mother. 

Along the way, our heroes stumble upon an angry mob trying to hang a woman. Xena taunts them and then using her charm cuts the woman down. She then uses the same rope to string up the “leader” scaring off the mob. The woman does not seem very grateful to have her life saved, but given the way Gabrielle reacted when she finds out the woman is Pandora who can blame her. Yep thats right, Pandora and her box are in this episode. Because why have one myth when you can have two and from different cultures. So Pandora joins the gang and off we go. 

Meanwhile in the castle, Nemos apparently hates babies. He seems really set on the fact that he needs to kill this baby that he is trying to convince the King its a brilliant idea. I have no idea why Nemos is so concerned with killing the baby I don't know what his motivation is, i don't know what he gets out of it. I don't know why he is doing this. Nowhere in the episode is any of this made clear to me. He is evil just because he is and he wants to kill the baby because the script says so. makes zero sense but i guess every episode needs a bad guy.

The gang heads into a tavern and Xena is forced to leave her weapons at the door and doesn't put up a fight. She does notice that the innkeeper seems to be shifty but doesn't mention they should leave or anything. Nemos arrives because the innkeeper sent for him and of course we go to commercial with a shot of xena glancing at her weapons which are hanging at the door, just to remind us that she is currently unarmed. But it turns out that Xena is resourceful. She takes a sip of her drink and we are treated to our very first shot of this:

FYI that is actually Lucy breathing fire. She learned how to do it for the show. Lucy is brilliant.

The fight carries on, she manages to get to her weapons before throwing her charm at a soldier and the charm embeds itself in his chest. Seriously it is sticking in his chest as he falls to the floor. Thats the first time we have ever seen the charm do that. Im surprised that was allowed to stay in on the family friendly season one. Nemos and his mates get their asses handed to them but he manages to grab the box on his way out.

Xena clearly pissed off decides to put the pinch on the innkeeper. She could have asked him for answers first but she decides to do the pinch before asking him if he will talk. Not sure why she went that drastic so soon but we finally get to see Xena and her signature move. The innkeeper seems to know everything that has happened with the King since the oracle arrived and I'm starting to worry about what other secrets are spilling out of that castle. Loose lips sink ships people.

Back at the castle King Gregor and Nemos remind us that Xena has only been good for 3.5 episodes as they discuss how ruthless and horrible she is and how clearly she wants to team up with the baby to take over the kingdom. Long bow boys. low bow boys.

Xena, Gregor and Nemos meet up in the same tavern. Must be the only tavern in town. King Gregor is not here to play games. He has heard about xena after all:

King:  “What would a flag of truce mean to a cold-blooded murderer?  I know who you are.  And you disgust me.  You swept across countless nations, and saw the world tremble at your feet. But my people are not gonna be your next victims.  If it means my death, or the death of this-- child, so be it.”

I think Lucy plays this very well. Her facial expression for this scene is perfect. 

Xena clearly doesn't want the King to know that she is thrown by his comments. He doesn't know her from a bar of soap. He doesn't know she is on this path of redemption. No words are going to convince him when her past actions show so much. No if he thinks i’m cold-hearted i don't want him to think i’m weak. But at the same time she is clearly hurt by his words. She is trying to do the right thing here. How long before word spreads of her good deeds. How long will she need to face this kind of scrutiny. How long until people trust her. Its subtle but it shows so much.

Fast forward, Xena infiltrates the castle, pretends to be a dancing girl and tries to rescue the box from Nemos. But she is thwarted by Gregor who has chosen the wrong moment to start to distrust Nemos. Gregor decides the box would be safer with him and take off. So Xena lets herself be chosen was Nemos’ bedtime buddy and uses the opportunity to get some info out of Nemos about the layout of the castle before knocking him out.

Xena makes her way into Gregor’s room, past the shrine to his dead wife and son, and finds Gregor praying to his dead son. She knocks him, takes the box and buggy jumps out the window. There is a ridiculous running through the market sequence and a slow motion camera shot of Xena getting the box to Pandora just in time to reset the switch.

Xena having decided that Gregor is not a bad guy, and he clearly doesn't want to kill babies until Nemos, decides to give the baby to Gregor so he can adopt him. She tells Gregor that the baby will take the throne but as his heir not his conqueror. Everything is sunshine and roses until Nemos barges in claims Xena is manipulating the King causing Xena to rip the baby out of Gregor’s arms and runs off.

Cut to our town square battle. Be warned there is baby tossing. Xena throws the baby to Gabby, fights a few guys, then Gabby throws the baby to Xena because you know, Xena is only fighting the kings guard. Xena is carrying the baby rather unsafely as she fends off a number of fighters. Thankfully that is a doll because there is no way she has a good grip on the baby. Then baby goes up and baby comes down before Xena tosses the baby to Gabby again.

Memos joins the fight and oddly gets the upper hand on Xena very quickly. Its usual and weird. But its ok. As Nemos brings his sword down on xena she catches the blade between her two palms and uses it against him before killing him with it. The crowd goes wild. The townspeople are very very happy that Nemos is dead. Makes me want to know his story even more. Was he terrorising the townspeople? Was this civil war they all mention started by Nemos? Does he go around killing babies often? what is his deal.

Gregor gets the baby. Pandora gets the box. Pandora moves into the castle to become a mother to the baby. Instant family. They don't even know each other. How does Gregor know that Pandora is not a crazy person? Whatever his life i guess.

Gabby and Xena are checking out the box. Gabby knocks it over and guess what. Its empty. Because Hope is in all of us. Cheesy season one ending line.

Summary

Look i’ve seen worse episodes. It mixes two myths together and we don't spend enough time in the Pandora situation for it to mean something. We could have stuck with the Pharaoh situation and the story wouldn't be missing anything. Its a standalone episode that has no bearing on the redemption arc. We do get that nice little moment when Xena realises her past is not so easy to outrun but its not pivotal to the overall episode. 

TL;DR: King is worried random baby will take his throne. Lets evil advisor go after baby without realising that advisor clearly loves killing babies. Pandora is there for some reason. There is baby tossing and then King adopts baby and Pandora with everyone living happily ever after.

                            Chapter 2

Walking deeper into the forest Jasmine began to get suspicious of Eggman’s intentions. Why was he taking her into the woods in the first place? Jasmine knew he wouldn't harm her in any way, she knew she had nothing to worry about.  Jasmine felt she had held her tongue long enough; She had to say something.

“ Ivo, where are you taking us? We have been walking for a while”

Eggman stops and he gazes at Jasmine.

“ I apologize for being so mysterious Jazzy. I guess I just want to save it all for when I show you the this ancient text.”

Jasmine’s mind explodes with ideas of what this ancient text is. Could it be a riddle that opens a door to a powerful relic.maybe a powerful ancient curse. With all of the possibilities Jasmine was getting really excited. Its like she is playing  a Zelda game  in real life

“ What does it say?” Jasmine says in an excited tone with her eyes as big as silver dollars.

Eggman laughs and wraps his arm around her tiny waist.

There was a long pause basically ignoring the question afterwards. They continue their trip for a little while longer. Eggman stops at a edge of a rock wall that was completely covered in moss. Jasmine drags her hand across the moss, it felt very soft at the touch. She notices Eggman move his hand in a circular motion in a certain area of the rock wall. There was a loud thund then the earth rumbles and a secret door opens up exposing a black void. This place was giving Jasmine the chills. Eggman takes a step inside the temple and a green light comes on. Jasmine sees him holding a small lantern and we holds his massive hand to her,

Jasmine takes notice of her surroundings, not only was it green due to the light, but all the moss and overgrown plants. She sees a big spider in a corner of a rock, which made her uncomfortable. Not saying a word to each other the entire way they reach a large room. The room had a large plaque in the center that was written in ancient text. And there was a rock carving of a woman that was wearing a long dress that had a rope tied around her waist, she was shoeless,and had long wavy hair. This woman was also wearing a necklace a real necklace It sat close to her collarbone and there were large brown opals around it. Jasmine looks at Eggman

“ Is that what you are needing?”

Eggman nods in response “ yes, that is the power I need to rule over this world. However I need the 7 emeralds to do it.”

Jasmine looks at him with confusion. “ then why did you bring me here? We only have two left to get.”

Jasmine walks towards the statue and wondered who she was and what power does this necklace hold. Climbing  on top of the podium to get a better look at the necklace. She cringes at the site of it

Jasmine hops down not wanting to look at the necklace anymore than what she had to. She then examines the statue and admires her simple majestic beauty. The statue was pretty tall like a powerful goddess.

The walk back to the base was a bit quicker, but it was creepy for Eggman he usually drives his machines to get around he’s not used to walking around in places like this. Jasmine on the other hand enjoys this sort of thing. Jasmine was a nocturnal person she could stay up all night long if she wanted to. Jasmine looked at Eggman who kept looking over his shoulder and was really freaked out. Then there was a

Its stuff like this that drives me to end my life. For those of you who care ultimaalmighty’s YouTube channel has been taken down so its a sad day for Ultima was youtuber that i looked up to anytime i was down he would bring me back up with his “EPIC REACTION VIDEOS” all was good until he got in a relationship with steph from starbot dubs to cut a long story short so i can get to what i have to say about this whole shit show of a fucking argument steph broke up with ultima and this drove ultima to “sexually harass” 8 other women what happened during their relationship is complete cluster fuck of info from that i am not going to get into there is info on this shit everywhere. Anyways why do i feel this way? why do i feel so conflicted? Why did i get a tumblr blog to post this? Because i am not on ANYONE’S SIDE!! in my opinion both of them have explaining to do beyond blog post and video that ultima made because both of which are biased and just divide the fan base of two of them and just makes everybody look bad on both sides im going to look at both and tell you my opinions on each

About ultima

Ok to be honest I actually side with ultima a bit more but even he did a fair share of things to piss me off. But lets start from the beginning ultima was in a relationship that he did not disclose until this shit started which is the first problem look i understand having a bit of privacy but not telling your fans about this until now was just plain stupid (this also applys to steph) and it made the uncoulded truth video come out of nowhere. Speaking of which that video was actually pretty well done and rather then make me lose respect for him i gained more than i lost because it takes a big man to step up and face and admit what you did wrong and actually try to fix it (even though it was not enough for ANYBODY!) and try to fix yourself by going to see a therapist its rare to see thats nowadays and i admire anybody no matter how big or small the mistake they’ve made i will always at least respect them for trying to make amends. Hell from what i hear he actually sent out private apologies to everbody he hurt so from the look of it things we’re turning around for him. However there was one thing that i can’t for the life of me agree with and thats the way he handled the attack from everybody make no mistake i do like it when someone takes the negative and turns it into a positive impact on themselves but the way he said it on twitch made him sound like a complete and total coward saying that he owes them for helping him realize what he did was wrong is kinda bullshit (for reasons i will talk about later) and the fact that he completely downed the chances of him getting another channel is just a slap in the face to fans like me who want to support him but don’t want to go on twitch to do it. In conclusion i feel like ultima does deserve a second chance and i hope all the best for him i just think he could have done better for his fans if he was a more open about the relationship from the start and did not completely rule out the possibility of another channel. Now for the part that made me want to post this

Now for the real side of the story i wanted to talk about because right now aside from steph i can barely stand any of these people but once again i will go from the top and then I’ll get to the reasons why. As i stated when i was talking about ultima steph should have also informed her fans about the relationship as well (the same points stated previously apply) one thing she should not have done is post the whole story on social media. Now before you say anything NO i don’t think she should have been quite about it but she should not have made public. She should have sent private message if she wanted to warn people without having ultima attacked and so the victims knew what he was capable of instead she posted the whole long story on Tumblr (yeah look whos talking) and hoped people understood that she didn’t want utima crucified. Now we all make mistakes (Ultima) and this definitely counts as one you cant just post somthing like that and hope that people don’t the guy. The people on internet DON’T CARE once they have a chance to shoot they will (i do realize that some people do care but you know what im talking about) which leads me to my next point how they handled it. Ok now we are getting to the good part the copyright strikes look these people have the right to there art ok i realize that (i consider myself to be artist) but in this case they abused the copyright system outright just to get ultima taken off YouTube which is the worst thing you can do in this sener because now people are going to rope them in with those hack developer’s on steam greenlight and don’t give me the excuse that “oh they did because he sexually harassed them” the reasoning does not matter they let him have those videos up until this happened. The moment this happened rather asking him to take the videos down (i don’t know if they did but if so link me the post) they chose to jump strate to the copyright system and take his channel down which put both them and starbot dubs underfire from ultimas fans. I love how they think people are horrible for thinking that “sexual harassment is on the same level as breaking a glass” when the real reason is probably because before all this happened ultima was a well respected youtuber with a loving fan base and if you think that everybody would just turn on him you might just have to rethink how the human mind works they are NOT stupid they just care about and are willing to look past that because to you he may be a manipulator to others he’s still the same stand up guy they know and love to the point where i saw someone who made a music cover dedicated to him (the music video is called Farwell Ultima not my cup of tea but still…damn) that alone says how much people care about him and to be honest i think they’re going too far with the hate and its actually coming off as bullying which is wrong concidering how much ultima has done he always encourages people to support the creater telling people to watch the original video first and wants them to subscribe to creater (also most of the videos he reacts to are fan suggested). Now lets get the part that REALLY pissed me off the ultima farwell stream i was there in the chat just before the stream started and it was going great there was a few haters but they quickly chased out (thanks to yours truly) but then THEY showed up vade maxoutoften hawker and dusty underline once they showed up everything went down hill they were attacking ultima and his fans calling anybody who said anything about them liars in the most immature way possible and the worst thing was once ultima started streaming they went silent and ran like cowards but it got worse when i checked they’re tumblr and the first thing i saw was a fucking fantasy version of the original blog post written by maxoutoften (its called a star story btw) which not only is twisted to make ultima seem like a piece of shit but also completely insalts the original post (even though I didn’t agree with it being poted in the first place) Speaking of maxoutoften when he was called out for causing shit in the chat he said that he didn’t do anything even though i saw him encouraging dusty to keep going the same applies to the other members of starbot dubs (except steph) they will bully ultima one moment but someone says anything they will ether

To both i say BULLSHIT! it is NOT fair to go and harasse ultima and his fans and you did have somthing to do with it you posted the blog and foolishly hoped that no one attacked him so you share some of the blame for it. And this makes you worse then ultima your doing the same thing that he did to his him and his fans and are trying to cover it up atleast ultima had the guts to admit to his mistakes but you will hide under any excuse you get.
