C3 E95 SPOILERS AHEAD
An interesting point that I haven't seen anyone make (yet) (I could have missed it) is that Delilah wants Laudna to blame the trauma of her dieing on the sword.
Everyone was hurt by that sword, and that means two things.
1) Orym should have asked before starting to carry it for himself.
2) Laudna should have asked instead of trying to steal it for herself.
Now, for Orym the reasons are kind of obvious as to why he felt like he could take it. It has taken two more people from him than from the others, and I think part of him saw it as carrying the burden of the sword for the entire party. He still should have asked, but he wasn't being unreasonable.
(I don't think Laudna was either from her perspective, but hear me out for a sec.)
Now, why would Laudna feel like she had the right to take the sword for herself without consulting anyone? How does she feel more entitled to it than the others?
I think she connected the added pain from what happened to her after dieing to that sword. And I think that's a combination of a coping mechanism and Delilah playing into that.
Because from Laudna's perspective it's a lot easier to blame the sword for that pain than to have to deal with the fact that it was the person that's still living in your head. It's a lot easier to blame the sword than to accept that your abuser can still hurt you and you have no control over that.
And from Delilah's perspective isn't it a golden opportunity to both shift the blame for that trauma off herself and drive a wedge between Laudna and the party at the same time?
The sword did not hurt Laudna worse than it did Fearne or Orym, but Delilah did. Delilah forced her to live through that nightmare, Delilah refused to let her rest in peace, Delilah is the real problem, not the sword.
This goes for the entire night, btw. Laudna should have asked, but Delilah would never let that happen. That would have meant stronger communication and bonds with her friends, and that would make Laudna less vulnerable to Delilah's manipulation. So she poked and prodded until Laudna couldn't think clearly anymore.
I just think that framing it as if the sword has hurt Laudna worse because she wasn't resurrected immediately is exactly what Delilah would want.
Just like framing this as a Laudna vs Orym thing, instead of Delilah causing problems, is exactly what Delilah would want.
Fuck Delilah.

You know what makes me particularly happy? GET ROMANCED LIAM O BRIAN! Seeing him just sitting there al red and shy getting a bucket full of love dumped on him was good for my soul.
In campaign one he was the trail blazer of romance and did most of the heavy lifting with confessions and general romancing.
In campaign two he said "I'm not doing that again, been there done that". We all know how that went ... But it did mostly happen behind the curtains, off game, so he didn't get to experience it.
But ROBBIE WENT ALL OUT with this declaration, he really said I'll do romance and I'll do it good and Liam really deserved to be on the other side of that. I'm glad Orym couldn't gather his courage first, I think that was just right

Gaara is truly the Character of All Time
-Introduced as main antagonist in a tournament arc, the terrifying bloodthirsty ninja from a strange desert village who kills without remorse and has survived every mission without getting a scratch on him
-He's 12
-Character design 10/10 he has bright fucking brick red hair, literal raccoon eyes, a face tattoo that says "Love" and carries that weird ass gourd; between the fun elements and the interesting tie-ins to Tanuki Lore, I have never seen a more charming design in my life tbqh
-Immediately more emo and chuuni than Noted Emo Heartthrob Sasuke Uchiha by virtue of reciting weird poetry after killing a guy in cold blood
-We get his tragic backstory and by fucking GOD is it sad. I cry just thinking about it. Literally everything about it is just horrible and devastating.
-Talk No Jutsu at end of the tournament arc, Gaara realizes that he should, in fact, go to therapy and immediately decides to turn his life around
-The first thing he decides to do is apologize to his siblings <3
-Shows up a handful of arcs later with a cool new outfit and becomes friends with the kid he literally tried to murder and nearly permanently crippled in one of the best fights of the entire series
-Liam O Brian's English dub of Gaara is Stellar ya know what. The raspiness of the original appearance morphing into the Deepest Voice That Any Kid Has Ever Had Ever was a genuinely hilarious choice
-Has the only good filler arcs in the old show; he's such a good character that the entire show molds itself and rises to meet him
-Post timeskip he is Desert Ninja President at the ripe old age of 15 and is extremely good at it because he's the weirdest little nerd with no social skills (on account of his tragic backstory) and diligently applies himself to doing paperwork and going to meetings
-Has a fanclub in the village mostly of girls his own age that he never seems to talk to?? Or realize have crushes on him?? Oblivious king we love him.
-Dies in one of the most genuinely moving scenes. Comes back like 20 episodes of fighting later because where would we be without him honestly?
-Becomes Super General Ninja President of the Grand Army of whatever where he accomplishes such feats as forgiving his asshole father and emotionally healing from his childhood trauma, stopping a meteor, and nearly dying a second time.
-Collects cacti as a hobby
-Has the only good sequel series arc where it's revealed that in addition to continuing to serve as Desert Ninja President, he's decided to adopt a couple of orphan ninja kids so that he can break the cycle of parental neglect and stupidity that created his tragic backstory in the first place.

where Liam kindly pretends to be the reader's boyfriend and actually catches feelings
________________________________________________
Liam Gallagher had known you long enough to spot when something was winding you up. You were sitting across from him at the pub, jabbing a fork into your plate of chips like it’d personally offended you. He took a slow drag of his cigarette, leaning back in his chair, waiting for you to spill whatever it was that had you in a mood.
“It’s him,” you muttered finally, not looking up.
“Him who?” he asked, blowing out smoke and eyeing you lazily.
“Me ex,” you said, stabbing another chip. “Ran into him today. He was all smug, standing there with his perfect bloody girlfriend, acting like I’ve been crying into me tea ever since he left.”
Liam snorted. “Yeah, well, he always was a knob, weren’t he? You’re well shot of him. What’s his name again? Barry?”
“Brian.”
“Same thing,” Liam said, waving a hand. “He’s a bellend either way. Let him crack on with his boring little life.”
You sighed, tipping your head back. “I know that, but it’s the way he looked at me, Liam. Like he was winning. I just... I hate that he thinks I’m still hung up on him.”
“Well, if it bothers you that much, I can go deck him,” Liam said casually. “Not like I’d lose sleep over it.”
You couldn’t help laughing, which made him grin. That was the thing about Liam—he could say the most ridiculous things, and somehow, they worked.
“No,” you said, shaking your head. “I don’t need you punching anyone. I just... I don’t know. Maybe I need to show him I’ve moved on.”
Liam arched a brow, taking another sip of his pint. “What, like rock up to his house with a bloke on your arm? Bit dramatic, don’t you think?”
“Not his house, obviously,” you said, rolling your eyes. “But, you know... maybe I need to prove I’m not some sad case. Like, I don’t need him anymore. Someone he can’t compete with.”
There was a beat of silence before Liam tilted his head, eyeing you in that way he did when he was about to say something stupid. “You’re not seriously thinkin’ about askin’ me, are you love?”
You hesitated, biting your lip. “Actually...”
“Oh, bloody hell,” Liam groaned, rubbing a hand down his face. “You’re mental, you are. What am I, Rent-A-Bloke?”
“It’s not that mental,” you shot back. “You wouldn’t have to do much! Just pretend we’re together for a bit. You’d be helping me out massively.”
He looked at you like you’d just told him you were joining a convent. “Right. So let me get this straight. You want me to play the loved-up boyfriend? Hold your hand, snog you in front of people, all that?”
“Exactly.”
He sighed dramatically, dragging his hand down his face before fixing you with a lopsided grin. “You’re unbelievable, you are. Alright, fine. But don’t come cryin’ to me when I’m so convincin’ you end up fallin’ for me.”
“Yeah, yeah,” you said, grinning. “Thanks, Liam. You’re a star.”
“Don’t you forget it, and you owe me a pint. Two actually.” he muttered, draining the last of his drink.
It started off as a bit of a laugh. Liam didn’t do anything halfway, so when you showed up to the pub together that weekend, he went all in. Arm slung over your shoulders, that lopsided grin on his face as he made a show of whispering in your ear. He even started calling you pet names—“love,” “darlin’,” “sweetheart”—his voice dripping with mock sincerity that had you choking back laughter more than once.
“Liam,” you hissed after he loudly declared you the love of his life in front of the bartender. “Tone it down, will you?”
“What?” he said, feigning innocence. “Can’t help it if I’m mad about ya, can I?”
You rolled your eyes, but you couldn’t deny it was working. By the time you spotted your ex lingering near the dartboard, you felt a spark of triumph. He clocked you and Liam almost immediately, his eyes narrowing as Liam leaned in close, whispering something in your ear that you couldn’t even hear over the sound of your own heartbeat.
It should’ve felt weird. But it didn’t. Liam was always tactile—hands on your shoulders, ruffling your hair, leaning into you when he was drunk—but now there was something different about it. Something that felt... right.
Not that you were going to dwell on it.
“Did you see his face?” you said later, practically buzzing as the two of you left the pub. “I think he was about to explode.”
“Serves him right,” Liam said, lighting a cigarette. He paused, glancing sideways at you. “So, we done now, or are you draggin’ me into more of this madness?”
You hesitated. “I think we might need to keep it up. Just for a bit.”
“Course we do,” he muttered, rolling his eyes but smirking all the same. “Come on, then. Might as well have some fun with it.”
Yet somewhere along the way, things started to shift.
At first, Liam didn’t think much of it. He was just doing what he always did—showing up, winding people up, making you laugh. But then there were the little things he couldn’t quite explain. Like how he started noticing the way your nose scrunched up when you were concentrating, or how your laugh seemed to echo in his head long after you’d gone home.
He brushed it off, of course. He wasn’t one for getting sentimental, and you were his best mate. It wasn’t like that.
Except maybe it was.
It hit him one night when you dragged him to some house party, claiming your ex might show up. Liam didn’t mind—he could always find ways to amuse himself, and he’d never pass up free beer. But as the night wore on, he found himself sticking close to you, his eyes instinctively scanning the room whenever you wandered off.
When your ex finally did show up, Liam was ready. He slung an arm around your shoulders like he’d done a hundred times before, but this time, it felt different. He felt different.
Your ex gave Liam one of those looks, all stiff shoulders and clenched jaw, and Liam couldn’t help himself. He leaned in close, dropping his voice so only you could hear.
“He’s proper jealous, ain’t he?”
You laughed softly, and Liam’s chest tightened in a way that caught him completely off guard.
“Yeah,” you said, resting your head against his shoulder. “It’s working.”
It shouldn’t have meant anything, it was just part of the plan. But the way you fit against him, like it was the most natural thing in the world, sent his brain spinning.
By the time you left the party, he felt like he’d been sucker-punched.
“What’s up with you?” you asked as the two of you walked to your apartment. “You’ve been a bit quiet all night.”
“Nowt,” he said quickly, shoving his hands in his pockets. “Just tired, s’all.”
But it wasn’t nothing. And as much as he tried to shake it, the truth lingered in the back of his mind. He wasn’t playing a part anymore. Not really.
Somewhere along the way, he’d stopped pretending.
And that terrified him.
He kicked a stray pebble down the pavement as the two of you strolled toward your flat. The party left behind and so now it was oddly quiet, just the soft crunch of gravel underfoot and your breath misting in the cold night air.
“Sure you’re alright to walk back on your own after this?” you asked, glancing sideways at him.
He smirked, hands still jammed into his jacket pockets. “What, you think I’m gonna keel over halfway home? Bit dramatic, don’t you think?”
“It’s freezing out,” you said pointedly, hugging your coat tighter around yourself. “And you’re not exactly dressed for it.”
Liam glanced down at his usual getup—jacket, jeans, trainers, no scarf or hat in sight. “I’m Mancunian, love. I don’t feel the cold, it’s in the blood.”
“Yeah, right,” you muttered. “Well, I don’t want to be responsible if you catch pneumonia, so…” You hesitated as you reached your front door, fiddling with your keys. “You could come in for a bit. Just to warm up before you head off.”
He arched a brow, a teasing grin tugging at his lips. “Aw, look at you. You’re worried about me. Never thought I’d see the day.”
“Shut up,” you said, cheeks heating. “I’m being practical. You’re the one who’ll be whinging if you get sick.”
He laughed, low and warm, before shrugging. “Alright then. Twist me arm.”
You unlocked the door and led him inside, flipping on the lights and kicking off your shoes. Liam followed suit, plopping down on the couch like he owned the place.
“Cozy,” he said, looking around before stretching his arms across the back of the sofa. “Got a blanket or summat? Or am I meant to sit here shiverin’?”
Rolling your eyes, you grabbed a throw from the armchair and tossed it at him. He caught it with a dramatic flourish, draping it over his lap and grinning up at you.
“Ta, love. You’re all heart.”
You sat down beside him, pulling your knees up and leaning against the armrest. The room was quiet except for the faint hum of the radiator, and for a moment, you just watched him, his profile lit softly by the lamp. He looked comfortable, at ease—but there was something in the set of his jaw, a flicker of hesitation in his eyes as he glanced at you.
“So,” he said finally, breaking the silence. “How long do we have to keep this up, then?”
You blinked. “Keep what up?”
“This whole… pretendin’ thing,” he said, gesturing vaguely. “Not that I mind, obviously, but y’know. Just wonderin’ how long you reckon it’ll take before Brian the boring gets the message.”
“Oh,” you said, caught off guard. “I—I don’t know. When do you think we should stop?”
“Dunno,” he said, leaning back and fixing you with a curious look. “Figured you’d be the one callin’ the shots on this. Don’t wanna cramp your style, do I?”
You frowned, confused. “Cramp me style?”
“Yeah,” he said, smirking. “Don’t wanna get in the way of your… romantic prospects, or whatever.”
You laughed softly, shaking your head. “That’s not what I’m worried about. I don’t want to get in your way. You’ve probably got girls lined up around the block, and here I am, dragging you into this mess.”
His smirk faded, replaced by something softer, almost vulnerable. “What if I don’t mind?”
You froze. “What?”
“I’m sayin’ I don’t care about all that,” he said, leaning forward slightly. His voice was quieter now, more serious. “Maybe I don’t want this to end anytime soon. Maybe I…” He trailed off, running a hand through his hair before meeting your eyes again. “Maybe I like it. Us.”
Your heart skipped a beat, his words sinking in slowly. “Liam…”
“What?” he said, his tone gentle but edged with a hint of challenge. “You can’t tell me you don’t feel it too. All this pretendin’, it stopped feelin’ like an act a while ago, didn’t it?”
You opened your mouth to respond, but no words came out. Instead, you just stared at him, your chest tight with the weight of everything you’d been trying to ignore.
“I mean it,” he continued, his gaze steady but his voice soft. “I don’t want to stop. Not ‘cause of your ex, not ‘cause of anyone else. I just… I like being with you.”
The air between you was thick with tension, the unspoken feelings finally laid bare. And then, before you could overthink it, you leaned forward, closing the gap between you.
His lips met yours with surprising urgency, warm and insistent. The kiss deepened quickly, his hand sliding to your waist as you pressed closer, your fingers tangling in his hair. It was everything you hadn’t let yourself imagine—messy, intense, and utterly perfect.
When you finally pulled away, breathless and wide-eyed, he was grinning at you, his forehead resting against yours.
“Bloody hell,” he murmured. “Took us long enough, didn’t it?”
You laughed softly, your cheeks burning as you tried to catch your breath. “Yeah.”
For a moment, neither of you moved, the quiet of the room settling around you like a blanket. But as the reality of everything began to sink in—the kiss, his confession, the weight of what it all meant—you felt a sudden urge to come clean, even though your heart was hammering in your chest.
“Well…” You hesitated, biting your lip as your gaze flickered to your lap. “Since we’re, um… being honest and everything…”
Liam’s brow quirked, his grin turning curious as he watched you. “Go on, then,” he prompted, leaning back against the couch like he had all the time in the world.
You took a shaky breath, your fingers fidgeting with the edge of your sleeve. “You’re probably gonna think I’m ridiculous,” you muttered, your voice barely above a whisper.
“Already do,” he teased lightly, his grin widening.
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t help the nervous laugh that escaped you. “Okay, well… maybe I, um…” You trailed off, cheeks heating as you tried to get the words out. “Maybe I realised I liked you right before the party. And I might’ve… dragged you there with me not really because of me ex anymore but, you know, because I…”
He leaned in slightly, his expression a mix of amusement and intrigue. “Because you what?”
You groaned, covering your face with your hands. “Because I fancied you” you blurted, your voice muffled.
The silence that followed was unbearable, and you dared a peek through your fingers, only to find Liam looking at you with that infuriatingly smug grin of his.
“You what?” he said, his tone rich with mock disbelief.
“You heard me!” you shot back, your face burning. “Don’t make me say it again.”
“Ah, no way,” he said, leaning back with a dramatic sigh. “Gotta hear this one more time, love. Just for the record.”
“Liam,” you whined, your hands falling to your lap as you glared at him.
He laughed, reaching out to tug gently at your sleeve. “Alright, alright. Don’t go hidin’ on me again. I’m just takin’ it in, y’know? You, draggin’ me to that party ‘cause you fancied me? That’s quality, that is.”
“Stop it,” you muttered, burying your face in your hands again.
He chuckled, his voice softening as he leaned closer, his hand brushing against yours. “Nah, but seriously… You could’ve told me, y’know. Saved us both a bit of grief.”
You peeked at him again, your voice quiet. “I didn’t know if you felt the same.”
“Well, now you do,” he said, his tone warm and earnest. And as he kissed you again, the last of your nerves melted away, leaving nothing but the quiet, undeniable certainty that this—him, you, together—was exactly where you were supposed to be.

Over the years, people had tried to pin down and understand Brian Molko, but the more they try to label him, the more he is unapologetically himself. That's what makes him an icon. Happy birthday to the great singer, songwriter and underrated guitarist, Brian Molko ♥️

Ships in the Night
Wolverine and The X-Men is wonderful but also SO 2000's coded wtf- I mean I'm not surprised, it came out in 2008 but mY GOD. Please watch it. If not for Liam O Brian flexing the accent than at least for Logan's riz. BTW, I am on board with Wanda and Kurt as a ship BC of this show. No, I am not going to elaborate... here. Later tho.
Anyway, I am learning that no Kurt is safe from my love but at the same token I am falling for Hank McCoy and I can't slow the acceleration. Someone, please help-
Tags for this little adventure: Panic/Anxiety attack. Very girl talk. So sorry but I am leaning into the 2000's cliches with this interaction of Kurt. Hopefully, this is multiple parts? Not gonna promise but I got Ideas with this bad boy.
Tumblr media
"You know you're obvious right?" Pixie mumbles under her breath. It's been three days since the ship was saved from not just the sleazy men who promised to transport you all to Genosha, but also those pirates. Between books, card games, and entertaining Sammy, the only kid on the ship; the voyage has been very dull. By all means that should be a blessing, but there is only so much to do when there are two more days of open ocean to venture. That's probably why people have been looking for something new to talk about.
"Don't play dumb. And don't be surprised. I've seen that look before..." Your new best friend counters while whipping a guardrail. Pixie is unlike any girl you've ever confided in. Although she's a bit shy thanks to the best of homeschooling and the worst of public, she's one hell of a spitfire once you got to know her. Looking back on it, her pink hair was enough of a sign that she was unabashed in who she was- for better and for worse.
You sigh under your breath as you wring out your mop. You and your newest friend volunteered to clean around the ship to fill the time. But now the book you've reread twice is more tempting than ever. "You and your romance novels..." You mumble. "CMon Y/n, it's obvious! You've been avoiding him like the plague!" Her beautiful butterfly wings extend in exasperation. Meanwhile, her hands settle on her hips. You can only groan as any words can and would be used against you to support this baseless claim. "Y/n!" They whine, making you sigh and pinch the bridge of your nose.
Has the X-Man entered and exited your mind in shadowy poofs? No. More like he wanders in, stays a bit... but leaves! Begrudgingly leaves, but leaves all the same! And so what he's charming and kind, and his accent is hypnotic... just like those eyes...
But it doesn't mean anything! It won't mean anything! Because he's a superhero and you were just lucky to be saved by him. Thats it! It doesn't make you special or anything. You're just another passenger on a ship he just so happened to rescue and now escort to its destination. It's no biggie. 'Probably another Tuesday for him if you got the nerve to ask.
"Look, I get you're a fan of The Duke and I but-" She turns back quickly to point her finger in your face "Leave Daphne and Simon out of this! I am talking about you and tall, dark, and-" The door to the room creeks open, making the commotion stop as the subject of conversation pokes his head into the room. "I'm sorry but did I hear The Duke and I?" Nightcrawler questions with the start of a smile. Your skin shifts to a golden shade of yellow from the nerves, making Pixie glance at you with a knowing smirk. To the astute, it would look like your skin matched his eyes.
Nightcrawler looks between the two of you. "Oh ah, I'm sorry, was I interrupting something?" He asked, genuinely curious. Just as you were about to your mouth, Pixie beat you to answering the million-dollar question. "We were talking about The Duke and I!" She said with way too much enthusiasm. You shoot her a pleading look that she promptly ignores. "Ah! I love that book." He marvels. The way his eyes light up forces you to fight another color change. "I must confess, Julia Quinn's repertoire is somewhat of a guilty pleasure of mine." He mutters as his tail curls. Pixie gasps, making you smile a little at how endearing your friend can be. Even when she is being nosy.
"Oh really? What do you think of Simon?" He smiles wide. "He has a special place in my heart! His and Daphne's banter is wonderful! And his motivation- unique and timely!" Pixie smiles wider, if that's even possible, "You know I have been trying to get Y/n into the series, but she's more of a movie lover-" You roll your eyes playfully. "Not true! I enjoyed the Harry Potter books and Twilight!" Pixie groans as you smirk. "Those are so overrated!" You glance to Nightcrawler, who's chuckling at your antics. The feeling of fighting the change makes your fingers tingle with numbness. "You have a very mainstream taste." He notes. You only chuckle while you shrug. "Nothing wrong with that. There's a reason why things are mainstream. If things are good then they're good. Although..." You shiver at the memory. "What happened to Jacob in the Twilight book was not it." Nightcrawler raises a brow "What happened to him? Did he not get with Bella?" Pixie gags before coughing out "Worse."
You smile knowingly. "Trust me when I say, you don't wanna know. If you do, wait for the movies to catch up. Hopefully, they fix what happened to my guy." He gives you a look before shrugging it off. "I'll take your advice then." Pixie jumps up and down "Ooo! Wait! We should see it together!" Nightcrawler gives a surprised look while you raise a brow. "Do you think Genosha has movie theaters?" The smaller girl asks hopefully. "I thought you didn't like Twilight?" she sighs "Well, no... but it's something you like. And you're my friend!"
Something about that hits you somewhere you didn't expect as your shoulders relax. As the declaration sets in, your throat gets tighter. Although you don't know why or how, something about this feels wrong. It shouldn't but it did. Even though you felt lighter and the world brighter, this just felt different. No. No that's not right.
It felt like a long time coming. Something about this.
"Y/n?"
You blink away from wherever you were to see Pixie and Nightcrawler giving you concerned looks. "Are you okay mein freund?" He asks as he sets a gentle hand on your shoulder. The amplified heat coursing through your body seems to rush to your face all at once. "Y/n, you look like a firetruck..." Pixie mumbles as she gets closer to check you out. "Talk to us," she quietly pries as she takes your hand. Your gaze flicks between them and their touches while your throat dries up. All you could do was just look at them with emotion-filled looks as you struggle to communicate. They only look to you expectantly, their concern running deeper with every passing moment.
Shaking your head seems to get the message across as the dryness in your throat moves down your esophagus. Nightcrawler looks between you and Pixie before looking back at you. "Y/n, you can still see and hear us, right? Your vision isn't blurring or anything?" You nod while sending a squeeze Pixie's way. "Kurt, I don't know what's going on..." panic drips into her voice. Kurt keeps his eyes on you. "Y/n, you're not allergic to anything, are you? I just want to make sure of something before we get you some help." You shake your head quickly, making your vision blur even after you stop. "Okay, Pixie, stay here with Y/n. I'll be right back." He mutters before disappearing into the shadows.
With him gone, you let yourself hold onto Pixie tighter as a surge of fear floods you. "Hey, hey- Y/n! What going on?" You force yourself to speak, only for it to come out as a croak. "I don't know," She glances between you and the door only to move you to the wall. "Just sit down okay?" She mumbles nervously. Obliging is the only thing to do as your fingers and feet give way to numbness. "Talk to me." Pixie joins you on the floor shortly afterward. "Try to talk to me okay?" Your voice comes out weakly. "It's getting hard to breathe, my hands and feet are numb, s-same with my face,... Pixie, I don't know what's going on."
Pixie gently nudges you. "Hey, hey, it's okay. You're okay Y/n. I'm not leaving you." She hesitates before touching your arm lightly. "Is this okay?" Your shaking your head makes her immediately retract her hand. "Okay. Is there anything I can do? Maybe distract you until kurt gets back?"
With no other ideas, you only nod. "Okay, um... So, that Kurt guy huh?" You sigh as your skin shifts to a light pink. "We are not talking about that." You groan, making Pixie smile a little. Even though it's at your expense, you manage to smile as well. "Okay, okay, fine... how about... what are we gonna do when we get to Genosha?" You close your eyes and sigh "What do you even think Genosha is like?" You mutter. She sighs along. "Hopefully warm. It's an island, right? So nice beaches are a must." The buzzing sensation in your feet seems to mute the longer you linger on this thought. "Long days in the sun, rainy days indoors..." Pixie nudges you with a soft addition "A spot of tea by the fire." Salty sea air drags into your lungs, reminding you where you are. "No more police sirens." You whisper while your hands intertwine over your chest. "No more fear on the TV." She assures. "No more running."
"No more judgment." Your gaze breaks away from your hands to see Kurt lingering in the doorway with a glass of water and a blanket. "No more running." He chides while taking slow steps toward you. The glass of water is offered to you after he takes a knee. Pixie gently takes the blanket from him to wrap it around you. Meanwhile, you give Kurt an appreciative look while sipping the cold water. "Take it slow, you're okay," Pixie assures. All you can do is close your eyes as you set down your glass. Tears you didn't know you had start to flow from a place you haven't felt in a long time. "This is a safe space," Kurt mutters. A hand sets itself on your shoulder as you curl into yourself. "Oh, Y/n..." You hear from Pixie before an all-encompassing acceptance grounds you.
Hugs never felt this good.
