Oh yeah they are VERY Kiki and Bouba coded!! ^_^

I mean, most of my design choices for them were based on how their names sounded. Trurl sounds sorta similar to words like twirl, curl or swirl so I wanted him to have lots of springs, spirals and round shapes. And obviously Klapaucius had to be the opposite of that and very pointy.

Now that I think about it, I guess another reason for why people make Trurl short might be because in many iconic opposite personality character duos, the taller guy is usually the chill one who has to stop his short friend from committing murder. So maybe that's the true reason why Trurl never gets to be tall after all.

I think it's beautiful that despite how different everyone's designs for Trurl and Klapaucius are, the one thing everyone agrees on is Trurl being shorter.

I genuinely don't think I've ever seen any fanart where he was taller than Klapaucius. Maybe a few where their height difference was less noticable, sure. But as far as I know, no one ever dared to explore the opposite end of the height difference spectrum.

I don't know where I was going with this. I just thought it was funny and wanted to share with the class.

I think it's the Bouba/Kiki effect! Certain sounds make people more likely to think of specific shapes/concepts, even if they all speak different languages and the words are total nonsense. And I guess Trurl kinda sounds like a Short Guy Name.

The fact that it's a short word might also help. 🐑
