Tommy basically said "the DSMP was good because it was, and still is, loved" and that basically sums up my feelings on the matter too.

#sure you can talk about the controversies about former members #and how the types of people involved in the writing shaped the narrative in ways that are increasingly troubling to look at #but it was also a project that was and still is loved by many of the (to our knowledge) better people involved #and it inspired so many artists and writers and musicians #people made friends through it #it helped people get through the worst parts of lockdown #my opinion of the dsmp for a while now has been pretty bitter. even when i wanted to remember it fondly it was tainted #and i dont think the worst aspects of the story or the ccs should be ignored #but its also so nice to have the opinion of 'yeah. it was good'#despite everything else there was something worthwhile in the dsmp #dsmp #tommyinnit #okay thats enough dsmp posting in 2024 lmao

Gravity Falls doodle dump!! Mostly Gideon. He's my favorite if you can't tell immediately, lol. I have zero time for drawing outside comms, but I had some time yesterday, while my mom and I were out and about doing errands. I had some spare printer paper on me to draw on. The first three of dipper and "canon" human bill, I actually drew when I was visiting with my cousins last week. And the last one of gideon flexing is a wip, I'm planning on making that a print. That wip sketch has been on patreon for a month or two actually :'D

But all this GF resurgence stuff has gotten me thinking about how I envision older gideon, again. I love him so much!!!!! I headcanon that he's a vampire, there's a little bit of that in here. Maybe more on that in another post??

I love the college of winterhold. everyone there is casually deranged and there's like an alarming number of students and staff who threaten you immediately when they meet you. it's always one of the first questlines I do. which makes it even funnier when you get made the arch-mage of the college. I'm level 12 and got through this questline knowing exactly 3 spells. what do you mean you want me to lead the college. this school CANNOT be an accredited institution

I've been getting paid to walk around 150 year old buildings we BALLIN

featuring this pretty hinge off a door I've been working on

#i habe so many stories from work #and fun facts about the buildings #i dont want it to be a long post so ill leave it at that #also i included a hinge off one of the doors im working on #its the first one to have a stamp of any kind #i included it because the other side is all rust but this side is probably pretty close to what it looked like when it was made #i mean it survived decades of abuse and at least one fire #and its still so pretty #also while touring to buildings the way the wind was interacting with some stuff in the building #legit sounded like footsteps #i haven't been that scared in a long time i mean genuinely frozen i thought it was a ghost #cause it was accompanied by distant whisper voices #anyways these buildings were built in 1865 #pretty dangerous to walk around didn't realize til i was leaving one that the entire three stories #were being held up by a few jacks #but i mean the floor is gone from a lot of these so you have to step careful #and theres broken glass and rusty nails everywhere #one of the windows did have the original nails im talking made by a blacksmith original #cause 1865 for reference is the year the civil war ended #these buildings tho in bad shape are still standing and saveable #and at one point these were probably the nicest places to live #a lot of the carpentry and framing practices are the exact same #studs roughly 16 inches apart #cross braces and all that #buildings today still use those same practices #idk i just find it all really fascinating
