She tastes so sweet.
Pitfighter!vi going down on you for the first time and becoming addicted.
warnings: smut 18+ ONLY, vaginal fingering, semi public sex, bathroom sex, hook ups, clubs, alcohol, kissing, marking, service top!vi, reader has no confirmed gender but they're wearing a dress in this for the scenario reasons, vi is quiet a fuckboy, oral sex (reader receiving)
Vi has always had her fair sure of fun over the years, she wasn't new to this, after she wins a match she just really wants to fuck someone.
She goes to a club where she'll know exactly who to find, she's scanning the room where her eyes land on you, who happen to be dancing with their friends, enjoying yourself as you look so pretty.
Vi smirks.
That's the one.
You just looked so nice in that dress you were wearing, she just wanted to rip it off and see whats underneath, your smile is enough to make anyone swoon, she wonders if you even know those that eye you in the dark from afar when you aren't watching.
The loud music blasts in her ears as she takes a sip of her beer, everything was loud, but she liked it, she needed it.
She felt good and she wanted to make someone else feel good.
It's not the first time she's seen you around, she's spotted you before, she's just been watching you, keeping her eye on you, making sure you're okay, while your friends get shit faced drunk, you don't seem like the type to get drunk easily, maybe a little tipsy, but that happens with everyone after a few cups.
When she sees your friend whisper something in your ear she knew she was going to leave you alone, she didn't like that, not when she spotted a guy checking you out, was she doing the same thing? Yes, but that guy had red flags all over him, he was bad news.
Vi didn't trust him.
As soon as you were left alone, seemingly in your own world, enjoying the music, the guy makes his way to you, taking advantage of it. Immediately, vi places her drink back down as she walks through the crowd of drunk people.
Before the guy could even say anything to you, she grabbed a drink already and purposely bumped into him, spilling it all over him, he swore under his breath.
"damn, you should probably go clean that up" Vi said, staring him down, he should know vi wasn't playing around with you and he scoffed, cursing more as he stormed off.
Then there was you, still oblivious to the whole thing.
She taps you on the shoulder, causing you to jump slightly as you turned around, probably expecting your friend.
"hi?" You slurred, she smiled, thinking it was cute. "Have you seen Hannah? Is she back yet?" You ask.
Vi shakes her head, "sorry, dunno Hannah is."
"fuckin' bitch probably left me with some dick" you groaned in annoyance, she couldn't help but chuckle at that.
"I could accompany you, if you want", vi offered, she wanted to be smooth about this, not being to obvious that she wanted to get in your pants, but the way you raised your eyebrows at her and checked her out, your eyes roaming her entire body which made her heart flutter, she knew what you wanted.
Before she knows it, she's pushing you against the wall of the bathroom that smells like shit but she couldn't care less, all she focused on was the taste of your lips and how soft they felt against hers. She heard you chuckle, as she pushed your dress up, you held it up for her as she kissed her way down, leaving her marks, enjoying the way you squirmed for her and moaned, fuck, she needed you.
She places her fingers inside your panties to tease you, she moans at how wet you already were, you let out a moan as she dipped her finger easily inside your wet folds, you felt so good, she pumped her finger in and out of you slowly at first, you were a whining mess, your hands gripping her shoulders.
She watched you in awe, as she felt you clench around her, it was making her dizzy, she's never fucked someone this wet before, well, not in a long time.
She pulls her fingers out hearing you whine, she doesn't say anything but grins, bending down on her knees as she kisses down your stomach, just above your waist, you body was begging for it and so was you, she loved the way noises you made, it drove her insane.
Once she pulled off your underwear fully, it was soaked, she moaned at the sight of your pussy, how pretty it looked, how much it needed her. Her own core throbbed, as she leaned in, pressing a kiss to it as she licks up your slit, hearing you moan louder and grip her hair harder, she smirks.
Vi dips her tongue in between your folds, twirling it around and making you squeal and squirm, she was showing just how fucking good she was with her mouth and she wanted to make you come on her tongue. She knew you were close with how she purposely didn't let you come before on her fingers, she wanted to taste you instead, and my god, you taste wonderful.
She couldn't get enough.
She keeps going, her hands on your thighs to hold them up as she watches you, your head against the wall, your eyes closed, getting lost in the feeling as she can't help but feel cocky about it.
Her tongue goes to tease circles at your clit, you whined, pushing your face into her, you looked so pretty like this, looking like a complete mess, moaning and whining for her while she eats you out.
She knows how much you like it too.
Your grip gets tighter as she knows you're close, she just wanted to relish in this feeling, she finally got you where she always wanted. She couldn't help but feel more smug, knowing how easy she can make you cum, make you a crying mess for her, she's obsessed, really. She wants more. She pushes her tongue into you, hearing you gasp as she fucks you with her tongue, moaning at the taste, you whimper above her, riding her face as she's in heaven.
She watches you come with a cry of her name, not even caring how loud you are in the moment, she loves it, she loves every bit of it, she leans away, licking her lips as you stared at her in a daze with a smile, your hand still in her hair.
"you wanna come to mine, sweetheart?" She asks, you've never agreed to something so fast in your life.

For Me?
Vi x Piltover! Reader
Vi deserves the world and a partner that cares about her. Being from Zaun comes with its insecurities when being with someone from Piltover. Luckily, you know exactly how to counter them.
A/N: You guys wont have to worry about that much angst from me for a while, I need to cope from act 3 by giving Vi the best life possible and all the fluff imaginable because oh my god??
There were times when youâd think back to when and how you and your girlfriend met for the first time. Such a chance of it happening was very slim given you two belonged to two different cities, you Piltover, her Zaun. You never thought the girl who rammed into you after fleeing from an explosion from an unauthorized lab would one day come back into your life.Â
The story of your reunion however was quite the convoluted one. Once again, a meeting set by nothing but pure fate and chance.Â
You werenât supposed to be at Zaun at the time. In fact, you werenât supposed to be in Zaun at all. You went on your own, against your family's wishes, for the sake of immersing yourself in a culture that is not your own. You were raised to believe that the people of the undercity were monsters, the filth under Piltover's feet, nothing more than animals. It never felt right to you, there had to be more to it. After all, they were people too.
So, you went to see for yourself how awful these âanimalsâ really were.Â
You knew better than to walk in expecting everything to be rainbows and unicorns, but you refused to let go of your optimism as you traveled around the labyrinth like maze of streets and alleyways.Â
It wasnât until the smell of a peculiar type of food filled your senses.Â
You didnât know what it was, it was very different from anything you had ever tried before, so you decided to check it out. Â
Once there, you were greeted by a fairly jolly fish-like man with a large smile. He laughed heartily, gesturing for you to take a seat and gave you a list of things to choose from. There were so many options, you had no idea where to start, and it wasnât until you heard someone else set directly beside you did you finally have an idea.Â
You looked to your left and were quickly met with a head of bright pink hair. Quite a unique shade which you couldâve sworn youâd seen before, but you brushed the thought off. There were probably plenty of people with the same hair color, besides if thereâs one thing you knew not to do in Zaun, it was to stare.Â
You heard one of them, a woman, order something specific off of the fish manâs list, whom she referred to as Jericho. He happily took her order before turning to her friend who denied wanting anything, and then turning back to you.Â
âIâll have the same.â You said with a polite smile. Jericho nodded before turning around and getting right to work. As you waited, you couldnât help but sneak a glance at the girl next to you once again, there was something familiar about her despite her back being turned to you for the most part.Â
That was until her friend noticed you staring and began to pull her hood over her eyes which grabbed the pink haired girl's attention. She quickly turned around to face you with an angered look on her face, clearly ready to fight if need be.
âCan I help y-â She began, but before she could finish it finally clicked with you.Â
âYouâre the girl.â You whispered, having not realized that maybe saying that to a girl who looked, for lack of a better phrase, like she could rock your shit, probably was not a good idea.
âIâm sorry?â She asked, clearly confused, but still clearly not happy about your interruption.
âThat girl, from the explosion, that was you.âÂ
Her reaction to your realization was less than friendly, and you couldnât blame her. You hadnât known at the time but she had just gotten out of jail for that same crime. She didnât know who you were, she didnât know what you wanted, and she didnât want to involve herself with more pilties than she needed.Â
And yet despite everything, here she was, now living with you on her days when she wasnât in Zaun. You had quite the rocky start in the beginning but you became useful to her quest for her sister, and the more time you spent with her, the closer you two got. At first she was a bit standoffish, not believing someone from topside was capable of showing so much empathy, if any. Yet somehow you proved her wrong. You chipped away at that stone wall she built around her heart all those years away in prison and became one of the few things she coveted most.Â
You two didnât live together all the time, but your house was always open to her as you had now managed to move away from your parents. You knew Vi could never stay topside for too long, and youâd never ask her to do such. So there were a few days here and there where she would stay with you, then go back to the undercity to continue to help out, then come back up with you.
Now today was the day for Vi to come back, so you decided to surprise her to the best of your ability with the dish she got from Jericho the day you two met once again. It was quite a feat that required you to go to the undercity a fair amount of times to visit Jericho and ask for help. Luckily the sweet man was more than happy to let you in on a few of his trade secrets for the sake of a thoughtful gift.Â
You werenât the biggest fan of this type of food, youâve tried it on more than one occasion, but it very clearly wasnât for you.Â
But it was what Vi liked so that was enough.Â
As you continued to cook, you heard your door open, without even needing to look you knew it was your partner walking through the door.
âWelcome back.â You greeted warmly.Â
Just then, You felt two hands wriggle around your waist before the weight of her head rested on your shoulder. She tilted her head slightly, her face now moving towards your neck, enough for you to feel the light feeling of her breath wafting over your neck.Â
You ignored the feeling to the best of your ability but you couldnât ignore the small smile that made its way to your face, this of course didnât go unnoticed by Vi as she mumbled against your neck,Â
âWhat are you making?â She asked, pressing her body a bit more into yours. She had a tendency to be clingy after being away for long periods of time, which you didnât mind.Â
âSomething new. Just got the recipe, I think youâll like it.â You said with a smile, which earned a short chuckle from your girlfriend who turned to begin peppering light kisses against your neck.
âIf itâs made by you Sunshine, of course I will.â She said sweetly, despite the fact she was trying to âdiscreetlyâ distract you. It wasnât actually very discreet but she thought it was and you werenât going to correct her.
âIt smells familiar.â She said quietly after pausing for a moment to look back over your shoulder.
âMeans Iâm doing something right then.â You said happily, glad that it was going well. Her confirmation that she at the very least was beginning to recognize it was enough to motivate you to continue. However despite your motivation it was clear your girlfriend still had other plans in mind.Â
Her hands slowly began to move their way up from your waist, pulling you impossibly closer as her face remained by your neck.Â
âCan I at least finish the food first?â You asked with a laugh as your left hand went up to lightly brush against Viâs face, acknowledging what she was trying to do.Â
She once again mumbled quietly against you before finally pulling away.Â
âFine.â She said with an overly dramatic sigh before continuing,Â
âYouâre no fun.â She teased as her hands slowly, reluctantly, left your sides as she moved to the counter next to the stove you were using to cook. She leaned the back of her waist against it, her arms crossed in front of her chest, as she looked at you with a look you could only describe as a lighthearted pout.
âSave that for later you just got back. You have to eat first.â You said in a somewhat stern manner, not looking away from the food cooking in front of you.Â
âWho says I canât have a bit of dessert first?âÂ
âVi!â You exclaimed as you walked her softly with a cloth that you had placed by the stove. She laughed, a full genuine laugh, which she felt like she could only do near you. You were the only one to really bring it out of her at this point.Â
âJust⊠go sit down, the food is almost done.â You instructed, turning back to the food as she chuckled once again before walking back towards you. Her hand made its way back to your waist once again as she leaned towards your ear,
âCanât wait.â She whispered cheekily before giving you a quick kiss on the cheek and walking towards the dining room.Â
You, being from a family who had lived in Piltover for quite some time, were able to afford a house with multiple furnished rooms with ease. It always threw Vi off just the slightest bit, the difference in what the two of you grew up with. It got to her more than sheâd like to admit. A few times she believed herself to be holding you back, you came from a life of glittering buildings, and she came from nothing but metal scraps.Â
You were so different and yet you always managed to remind her that it didnât matter. She loved you for you and you loved her for her, wherever you came from had no effect on that.
Vi sat down in one of the few chairs in your dining room, looking around at the paintings that littered the walls, her previous thoughts remaining on her mind before she was interrupted by a plate of food entering her view and landing in front of her.
âTada!â You exclaimed into the silent room, the only other sound being that of the plate lightly hitting the table. Vi sat in silence for a moment as she looked down at the food before her, it took her a moment before she recognized it.
âWait. Did you-â She began to ask.
âFind the recipe to your favorite dish from your favorite food stand? Maybe.â You responded with a proud smile as you sat down in the chair next to her, eager to have her try it.Â
âHow did you get the stuff for it?â
âWell, I visited a friend.â You said with a shrug. Vi looked towards you, her eyes wide with shock. As each moment passed she realized just how much effort went into this one dish.
âYou hate this kind of stuff, why would you-â
âCause I know you like it and I wanted to make it for you.â You said simply as you placed your hand atop hers.
Suddenly Vi couldnât think of a response. Her sudden silence worried you almost, was she mad? Was she upset at you?Â
You then looked at her eyes and watched as they softened, the powder blue irises glistened as water lightly began to form in them.
âHoly shit.â She said quietly, entirely taken aback as she sat back in her chair. For someone with such a tough exterior you could see the walls slightly begin to crack as she looked down at the food before her. It meant more than the world to her that you had put so much effort into something she liked, for her, and for no other reason.Â
Just because you cared.
It had been a long time since Vi had been truly reminded she was loved. Just having such a simple yet, such a powerful reminder in the middle of nowhere by the one person she truly loved was almost disorienting. You went out of your way to get ingredients you couldn't get easily in Piltover, a recipe you had to go to a specific stand for, her favorite stand no less, and then put it all together?
âVi?â You asked quietly, your other hand going up the cup to her face so she would look at you a bit more as you looked at her with a bit of concern. You didnât expect such an emotional reaction from your gesture that you were worried you had done something wrong.
âAre you o-â
Before you could finish your question, Vi had turned to you quickly and engulfed you in a hug. This took you completely by surprise. In the time that you and Vi had been together, more often than not when it came to specifically hugging, you were the one to initiate. She just never seemed like the hugging type unless it was an occasion where she truly meant it.
And in this case, she did.Â
âThank you, Sunshine.â She said quietly as she squeezed just a bit tighter. Your hands rested against her back as you smiled, feeling as if you had done a job well done even without her trying her dish. You knew Vi had been through a lot over the years and while you didnât know the full extent of everything just yet, you knew you could at least try to offer her some sort of comfort. So thatâs what you strived for and it seems like that's what you succeeded to do.Â
Once she pulled back from the hug, you reached up to wipe her tears, the smile still present on your face as you spoke.Â
âWell, are you gonna try it?â You asked, to which she smiled and let out a slight chuckle. She then eagerly turned back around towards her plate and dug in as she usually did in the undercity. She knew you didnât care about the messy nature that often came with Zaun cuisine, even if it wasnât what you were raised on, it meant a lot to her that you at least tried it out. With one taste she immediately released a sound of pure bliss and dove back in for more.
You laughed, knowing that was Viâs way of saying you had done a perfect job, even if she didnât pause from her eating to just tell you so herself.Â

I do indeed have much I can say on all of this! I donât have time for a full breakdown, but letâs hit some key points.
đȘThe Milton evacuation and changing the direction highways.
This is called âcontraflowâ and it is indeed a thing that is frequently used in evacuations. However, from what I understand, Florida might have laws against this? At least thatâs what Iâve heard, or maybe just laws that do indeed make it very difficult. I havenât had a chance to look into it too closely. And it is a tricky thing to do safely just off the cuff without a known procedure in place, which you wouldnât have if itâs against the law in your area. Youâve gotta shut down all the exits/entrances accordingly so you donât have issues with head-on traffic, youâve gotta make sure you have effective alternate routes for emergency traffic, youâve gotta have a space to reintegrate traffic into the proper lanes once the contraflow segment has ended, etc. etc.
Youâre right that this isnât a police problem, itâs a LAW problem. Maybe also a police problem in the sense of what trainings are available to them, what procedures they have in these situations, etc., but not an ACAB style police problem. Plenty of places DO use it, like I said. (Also, sometimes youâll get spontaneous contraflow, where people just start doing on their own, but thatâs a whole different can of worms.)
đ Over dependence on cars.
America is indeed super car dependent, but thatâs not exactly the issue here, at least not in the way youâd think. First off, evacuations are just HARD. Thatâs a lot of people to move. Even if you took every large transport vehicle in a given area (so all the buses of any sort, any trains, any planes), youâre not going to get the entire population moved out in a timely manner, even if every seat is taken. It just isnât feasible for so many reasons. People DO need to be able to evacuate via car. Itâs also very dependent on the disaster in question. An evacuation for a hurricane is very different than most other evacuations due to the amount of time you, usually, have.
Now, one thing that happens and causes problems during evacuations is that people take ALL their cars instead of just one. Mom takes one car with the kids and as much stuff as possible stuffed in the back, and Dad takes his truck with the dogs and the bed piled high. A lot of evacuation planning doesnât account for this. They see a four person family and think, âah yes, the family sedan has six seats, theyâll just take that and go, we donât need to plan for them to put both their cars on the road and at all the gas stations along the way.â But then they do take both cars, and so does every other family on the road, and suddenly youâve got a shit ton more cars doing something that you expected a lot less cars to be doing. I have a lot more thoughts on this I can share later, if people are interested, but for now we shall move on.
(Thereâs also definitely an element of poor city planning and infrastructure in some places, but thatâs very much a case by case thing.)
đ©đ»âđ We need a better emergency management system.
Yes! Though, actually, we already have a pretty good one as compared to other countries. Not great, by any means, but something like FEMA is pretty rare. Most countries just kind of ad hoc disaster response on a case by case basis, which is also what we did until we created FEMA in the 70s.
I have A LOT of thoughts about how we could improve the system as it currently stands, which is a big part of why I want to do a PhD in emergency management.
đ„ When to evacuate.
You mentioned this in relation to the Camp Fire, and that one isâŠyeah, that one was so bad. Thereâs a lot that goes into making evacuation decisions, and unfortunately studies have shown that a lot of emergency officials still believe the myth that people will panic if you give them too much information about a disaster. This leads to delays in evacuations, among other things. Also, evacuations are expensive, and that makes officials hold back. Plus, thereâs the âcried wolfâ effect where if it turns out the evacuation WASNâT needed, the next time it IS needed, people will be less likely to go, which again makes officials hold back.
With the Camp Fire, though, I donât know if any of that specifically was what was at play. That thing just moved FAST. Also, this was a small mountain town. There were not a lot of ways out, just thin mountain roads. I guarantee those officials who made the evacuation call hesitated because they knew people WOULD get stuck on the few potential roads to safety. They werenât making a choice about evacuation, they were making a choice on where they wanted people to be when the fire DID hit. Because it was going to hit. So do they concentrate people all in one spot, on a road that itself wonât burn but will be completely surrounded, or do they keep people spaced out all over town hoping that pockets of it might be safe? And they had to make that decision at the drop of a hat, knowing people were likely to die either way.
Fires are, in my opinion, the most terrifying thing to have to manage an evacuation for. They are both incredibly quick, but also potentially long lasting. They can shift direction at a momentâs notice. They can do things you never knew they could do. They can consume absolutely massive areas. They can die down and pop back up when you least expect it. And to be the person making the decision on how to handle that must be a very, very heavy weight.
đđ» People in positions of power just waving their hands.
Some do, some donât. There are so, so many amazing people out there who care about this stuff and are doing their best to address these issues. But they need support. Taking over the department of transportation isnât the answer, your local emergency management department is. Check out what their emergency plans look like, they should be on your county and state websites. Read through them, find the holes, go to meetings, contact your representatives. Be a nuisance to Congress RIGHT NOW.
đ Disaster education
Lastly, to @kyranekoâs point about needing better disaster education, yes! Yes we do! I think one of FEMAâs weakest points is its lack of addressing and helping individuals directly prior to a disaster, rather than in large groups. Iâm working on it. Got a big project in the works that will, hopefully, start addressing this issue. And thatâs not including the PhD.
SoooooooâŠ.yeah! :D That ended up a lot longer than I thought, lol. Hope some of it was interesting to those of you who have made it to the end.
So I have a friend from high school who is a cop. (Yes, I KNOW.) I shared a photo on Facebook of a packed highway of people attempting to evacuate from Hurricane Milton, all while the lanes going in the opposite direction were open and empty. And my Facebook post was basically me screaming, âOpen the other side of the highway and reverse it so that people can GET OUT.â
His response was essentially, âYeah, that is *really* difficult for us to do.â Not in a condescending way, because he genuinely isnât a huge asshole. (Yes, I KNOW.)
And then I may have vented in my response, in which I tried not to imply that the police were a problem. Because to be honest, I donât see this as a police problem. I see this as how we have fucked ourselves as a nation by making ourselves so dependent on cars.
There is that poll on this site â or multiple polls, at this point â asking how long people can tolerate being in their cars. And the thing is, Americans (and Canadians as well, I am imagining) have almost no other options. We have to be used to spending a good 12 hours in a car without breaking a sweat. Everything in this country is built around being in a car. Thereâs a reason when you ask us how far away a place is from somewhere else, we normally give that distance in hours and not miles.
Air travel sucks. It sucks for a multitude of reasons â cost, the hassle of dealing with security, the time suck, etc. â and in an emergency, only a select few are going to be able to use it to get away from a hurricane. And thatâs one of the few disasters where air travel is an optional escape.
Train travel sucks. Amtrak is not something youâre gonna be complaining about if youâre trying to get away from whatever disaster you need to evacuate from. But next to so many other countries, Amtrak looks like weâve been receiving other countriesâs leftover railway systems from the 70s. It also doesnât go everywhere. I live in northeastern Pennsylvania near Scranton, which prides itself on its history in the train industry. We have a museum and everything. We have multiple things named after that museum, including the Steamtown marathon which is happening tomorrow.
Can you get on a passenger train in Scranton? Nope.
(The main argument against this always seems to be that people will come here from New York City and commit crimes, which is hilarious considering if somebody wanted to come here from New York City and commit crimes itâs only a 2.5-hour drive.)
Anyway, disasters.
If the only option youâre gonna give most people to get out of areas of Florida that are being targeted by hurricanes or areas of California that suffer from wildfires or places in the Midwest that face flooding are cars, then we need a better fucking emergency management system regarding transportation in this country. You canât just sit there and mock people for not evacuating because they canât or wonât when getting away from Milton meant sitting on highway for hours with absolutely no gas stations whatsoever nearby having any gas at all. (It just makes me think of those photos of people stranded on the highway in their cars in blizzards where people are like, âNow imagine imagine how bad it would be if all of those cars were electric!â Well, all of those cars in that photo in that blizzard run on gas and theyâre fucking stranded, sooooooo.)
Look, we can change the transportation system in this country. we did it before and we can do it again. We used to have more train options, fewer highways. My small hometown had a fucking trolley in the 40s. Now, if you donât have a car here, youâre stuck. You canât even get Uber here. if a wildfire started here and surrounded the town, it would be a clusterfuck.
Regardless of how you feel about the police, if police and fire departments in this country cannot organize an evacuation on a highway in a way that will reduce the backup so that tens of thousands of people arenât sitting in their cars when a hurricane hits, thatâs a problem â not just for those people, but for the police, and the fire department, and emergency management in general.
The people in charge of emergency management are just people, just human. Iâm researching the Camp Fire in 2018 right now, and you had a bunch of people calling 911 saying, âI can see a huge fire off to the east. Are we safe? Should we evacuate?â The 911 operators could only work off the information they had. They could have told people to evacuate earlier, but Cal Fire didnât anticipate the strength of the fire. Which is understandable. Nobody could anticipate the strength of that fire. But the 911 operators were sitting in an office with no windows, and they had no idea what was going on the east. They couldnât look out and see exactly what was happening. If they could have, they probably would have told people to leave as soon as possible much sooner than they were told to. Instead, they waited for official confirmation, and when they did start telling people to evacuate, traffic managed to back up in a small town of 25,000 people until many of them were trapped in an unimaginable hellscape.
When people need to evacuate from a disaster, and they stay instead, far too many people - including those in positions of power â just kind of wave their hands and say, âWell, we tried.â No, we didnât. This country made not trying its watchword, and now weâre at a point where unless you own a car, which is a luxury a lot of people cannot afford in this economy, escaping from disaster is impossible. So you can get in your car or somebody elseâs car and go sit on a highway and hope your gas doesnât run out, since none of the gas stations for 100 miles have any gas to give you, or you can stay in your house and hope you donât die.
Sometimes, I really wish somebody would make me the head of the department of transportation. I would demand an absurd amount of money to build a better train system, to provide better transportation options for smaller towns, to provide extensive training for rescue personnel in managing evacuations like the clusterfuck in Florida this week. I would become an absolute fucking nuisance to Congress. I would be asking for money left and right to make it so that our only options as Americans werenât to get into cars we can barely afford these days and attempt to organize our own evacuations from the growing number of natural disasters in this country.
Yâall keep posting these polls about how long you can tolerate being in a car at the same time that tens of thousands of Floridians were sitting on highways trying to get away from Tampa so they wouldnât die in a hurricane.
We can tolerate being in a car all goddamn day. Itâs because we donât have a fucking choice, even when itâs life or death.ïżŒ

â.á shotaro
Shotaro had never taken care of such a small child before. At first, he wouldnât really know what to do and would get a little (okay, very) nervous, letting out constant nervous laughs while asking every five seconds: âWhat should we do now?â After watching you struggle for a while trying to get the child to stop crying, heâd step in to help. Heâd start making funny faces, quickly getting the child to laugh. You were surprised by how fast he managed it and how well they seemed to get along.
â.á eunseok
Even though you didnât expect it from him, Eunseok is actually really good at babysitting. Itâs probably because he has a younger sibling and a lot of experience with them. You couldnât stop staring at him every time he played with the child, carried them, or soothed themâwhich, for some reason, he was particularly good at.
"I thought you already knew Iâm good at everything."
â.á sungchan
He wouldnât stop smiling and watching the child. Every little thing the kid did would make him grin. To keep everyone entertained, you decided to bake cookies together, but Sungchan got distracted for a moment and spilled the entire mixture on the floor. You didnât expect that, seconds later, after a brief silence, the three of you would be starting a food fight, laughing uncontrollably.
"Just so you know, youâre cleaning this up, babe," youâd whisper in Sungchanâs ear once the chaos was over.
â.á wonbin
It would be pure chaos. Even though Wonbin finds little kids adorable, he has no idea how to interact with them. He wouldnât know what to talk about or how to keep them entertained, but heâd keep trying new things to grab their attention, even attempting to teach them how to dance. That said, if the child started crying, you wouldnât find him anywhere near.
"Thatâs all you," heâd say, pointing at you.
â.á seunghan
Things would start off pretty smoothly, but you knew it wouldnât be a good idea to leave them alone. Youâd only be gone for three minutes to use the bathroom, but when you returned, Seunghan and the child would have completely turned the living room upside down. Cushions and blankets would be scattered everywhere. According to Seunghan, heâd built an obstacle course to see who could complete it faster (and of course, heâd let the kid win).
â.á sohee
Youâd spent the entire afternoon playing with the child, and it had been challenging for both of you since it was your first time babysitting. When bedtime rolled around, the child refused to go to bed no matter how much you insisted. Thatâs when Sohee came up with the idea to tell them a story and sing a lullaby. You were amazed at how quickly Sohee invented a tale about a princess named ây/n,â who needed to be rescued by the great knight âSohee.â
â.á anton
He loves kids. In fact, he adores them, and he knows exactly how to take care of them. You, on the other hand, would feel completely lost. Even though you wanted to help out or spend some time playing with the child, they always ended up gravitating toward Anton. It wasnât intentional, and you found it sweet to watch the two of them together, but deep down, you felt a little bad that the child kept choosing him over you. Anton noticed and told the child to go hug you and plant a kiss on your cheek while you were sitting on the couch, which completely made your night.

It didnât affect Jay anyhow, really. That you ended whatever the two of you had for another guy. Like, this was all just casual. And you still wanted to be friends which was exactly what the two of you were before⊠so not much had to change between the two of you. Other than, well, the lack of physical intimacy.
He didnât care, really. It wasnât like you were the only girl he hooked up with (you were) or that he couldnât get any other girls, but⊠you ending the situationship was kind of exactly why he liked you. Because you understood everything was casual and there were no expectations, no feelings. The others, they always got attached.
And, look, Jay understood that maybe he was being too nice or whatever, but it was in his nature to help out when necessary, or to cook for people in the morning â it wasnât like he made breakfast only for those girls anyway. He had roommates to feed, too.
You ended the deal because you had no feelings for him. Which was exactly what he wanted. So why the fuck did it bother him so much? And for Huening Kai, no less? The tall emo kid that barely spoke and people thought he was being mysterious or whatever.
What could you possibly see in him?
What did he have that Jay didnât?
Jay let out a frustrated sigh and ran a hand through his hair, eyes still fixated on the conversation between you and him. So Huening Kai asked you out. And you liked him enough to say yes. That was certainly not on his bingo card. Realistically, he thought the type of guys you liked were someone like Sung Hanbin or Choi Soobin or⊠him. Not Huening Kai.Â
What the hell?
âWhatâs up? Someone steal your cat?â Heeseung entered the shared living room with a grin. Jay had to dryly laugh at the irony of his question since, in a way, yes.
âNah. Itâs Y/N,â Jay replied, trying to sound nonchalant. âWants to be just friends.â
âDamn, got tired of you already?â Heeseung teased, but he knew not to go further when Jayâs scathing glare nearly burned him. âWhat did she say?â
âHuening Kai asked her out and she said yes.â Jay shook his head. You and Kai werenât even dating yet, and you already wanted to be exclusive with him? Why? Who even does that?
âOh, Kai? Heâs got music classes with me,â Heeseung said with a grin. âHe knows how to play like five instruments. Heâs kinda cool. A band kid, too. Pretty sure he has a band.â Jay didnât need to know any of that. Not yet anyway. And then Heeseung added: âI think he was planning to ask Y/N out for a while. I caught him asking around about her once.â
Jay clenched his jaw. How long had you been talking to Kai before he asked you out? Was it out of nowhere or did you befriend him before? Which gave him another reason to be upset because if you did befriend him before, you didnât tell Jay anything. In fact, you hadnât been telling him anything about yourself or your life for a while now.
Which stung.
âKaiâs a good guy. You should be happy for her.â Heeseung made a point, giving Jay a long, meaningful look. There was more he wanted to express, but chose to not push his limits.Â
Jay huffed.
Thinking about it, maybe heâd have actually preferred it if you were in love with him.
Upon entering the Sanctuary CafĂ©, you noticed that it was already packed. But you were instantly recognised by Taehyun, who greeted you with a bright smile and led you toward a table that was empty, save for your reservation. It was in front of the stage set up for live performances, and it occurred to you then that Kaiâs surprise was very likely just that. He prepared a performance for you.
Your eyes widened as you stared at the stage. It had a full instrument set up for a band. Drums, bass, keyboard and an electric guitar. The sight of it made you think of Jay for a bit, but you shook your head and got rid of the thought.
This would be your first date with Kai. The boy who actually doesnât only want to sleep with you, but also wants to do everything else that real relationships include. Like holding hands and hugging in public and being affectionate without being judged. (The things you wished you couldâve had from Jay.)
A group of three guys entered the stage, none of which were Huening Kai. They glanced toward your table every now and then with a knowing smile, though. You watched them set up their instruments â the guitarist, the bassist and keyboardist. But the drums were empty.Â
Because of course, he knew how to play the drums. He was a genius that never flaunted his skills, and the reality of it hit you just now. Huening Kai was a drummer â which was actually sexy as hell.
âHello, everyone, welcome to the Sanctuary CafĂ©,â the guitarist spoke into the microphone with the largest smile. He had a cute dimple as well, and you thought he perfectly fit Kai â whenever he wasnât closing in on himself. âIâm Kim Taerae, lead singer and guitarist of our band, Toenze. Weâve prepared a very special performance today because one of our members wants to dedicate it to a special girl.â
A round of awes went through the crowd. You looked around in hopes of catching a glance of Kai, but he was nowhere to be seen. Instead, your eyes locked with a person you did not expect to see today â at all.
Jay stood at the back of the café with Heeseung by his side, and you wished you could unsee him. Your heartbeat raced, and your mind felt like you needed to come up to him and apologise. But what would you even be apologising for?
âOn my left is our bassist, Choi Beomgyu, and on the keyboard, youâve got Han Yujin. And, of course, weâre missing a key member â the drummer,â Taerae spoke lightly, his smile hearable in his voice. âSome of you already know him from our previous performances, but for those who have yet to meet him â please give a round of applause to Huening Kai!â
Kai wasnât even inside the cafĂ©. He entered through the main door in a dark grey hoodie, the hood covering his face. The whole shop held its breath as he looked up. And when his eyes met yours, a smile spread across his lips. Taking off his hood, he revealed his face and carefully styled bangs.Â
From the pocket of his hoodie, he pulled out a bouquet, and when he aimed through the crowd toward you, your heart nearly melted. All thoughts of Jay being here, too, evaporated from your mind. All you could think about was Huening Kai, looking beautiful as ever, heading toward you with a bouquet of flowers.
âFor you, my lady.â He knelt down to hand you the flowers, and you stared at him with wide eyes. Grinning, he winked before standing up and heading toward the stage, leaving you absolutely flustered and frozen in place.
âHello, everyone! This performance is dedicated to the girl that didnât reject me. Itâs for you, Y/N,â he said into the mic jokingly, but there was a hidden meaning behind his words.
The memory of how he asked you out lingered, and you giggled. You could still picture him, approaching you with his hands hidden in the pockets of his jeans. And then he asked you, in the most embarrassing way possible, if you were dating Jay. The smile that spread on his lips when you said that what you had with Jay was only casual was an unforgettable sight, really.
âI can make you forget him,â was Kaiâs closing argument, and the confidence with which he had said it sent shivers down your spine. You couldnât possibly reject him then.
Jayâs glare was palpable. You could feel it at the back of your neck, but you ignored him. Why was he glaring at you anyway? If there were no feelings involved, he shouldnât care about any of this.Â
âThe first song we prepared for today is called Higher Than Heaven,â Taerae informed the crowd. âAnd the second song is Kill the Romeo. Hope you guys like them!â
Both songs were amazing, and both conveyed one pretty clear message: Iâm better than him. You couldnât help but laugh and enjoy yourself while Kaiâs band performed. They were good â really good. And eventually, you even stopped sensing Jayâs gaze burning through you.Â
Naturally, you turned around to check on the spot where Jay had previously been. Except he wasnât there. Instead, you were met with Heeseung, who shrugged when he noticed you looking at him.
âHe left,â Heeseung mouthed.

Day twenty-five of âobligatory sugar baby Konâ behind the cut. prev: (( chrono || non-chrono ))
Also then he fucking ruins his best non-funerary/non-gala slacks with ground-in gravel, rips a hole in the upper sleeve of his button-down, and nearly wipes out three times but only actually wipes out once, which ends up in him on his back and out of breath with Kon leaning over him and grinning down in delight as he reaches down to offer him a hand up.Â
Tim takes it, because why the hell would he ever turn down the opportunity to hold Kon's hand?Â
âThat fall was sick,â Kon says as he pulls him to his feet, grinning wider at him. Tim isnât really sure how to take that, considering. Like, Kon seems happy, but also he doesnât love that Konâs first comment was about him fucking up, soââYouâre really good at it, bet if you got tossed off a bridge youâd be super-easy to catch!âÂ
â. . . uh,â Tim says, vaguely bewildered. âThanks . . .?âÂ
âAnd your balance is killer!â Kon continues enthusiastically, grabbing his other hand too and squeezing them both instead of letting go of him, and Tim realizes that Kon was, in fact, actually complimenting him with the comment about falling, which is . . . really weird, okay, but does make him feel better about the first comment thing. And, well . . . it does actually kind of make sense that Kon would be more impressed by examples of control, rather than strength or superpowers or stuff he sees every day. Likeâtechnical skills over just throwing raw power at a problem until it stays the hell down, which is definitely what Konâs used to.Â
But also it makes literally no sense at all, because itâs Kon. The idea of big and bright and flashy Kon who does everything he can to take up space and get attention being the type to appreciate things like the fiddling little balance adjustments he did on the fly and the way he controlled his wipeout just feels, likeâweird.Â
Maybe it's just another example of a thing Kon is too busy acting cool to show Robin, but doesn't mind showing Tim Drake.Â
âThanks,â Tim says again, briefly wondering why Kon is completely incapable of putting up with Robin getting technical or detailed but can appreciate it in Tim Drake.Â
. . . admittedly, the fact Kon wants to make out and, uhâtake pictures with Tim Drake probably does make him more inclined to not find him annoying. Also Tim Drake isnât the one in charge of both him and their entire team in regular stressful situations and thereâs no one around who Kon might perceive him as stealing the attention of.Â
Yeah, alright, heâs asking himself stupid questions again.Â
Well, alright, so everything he was actually trying to impress Kon with is literally not even anything he cares about, all his best and slightly-too-Bat-level attempts aside, but he had pretty much expected it, just hoped thatâ
âThe rail slide thing was so cool,â Kon continues again, sounding just as enthusiastic and back to beaming at him, and Tim . . . pauses, and thenââI dunno how you even did that without flying, and you did it so fast, andââÂ
Tim doesnât intentionally time it, but he needs to disassociate a little so heâs just counting a bit in his head, and therefore he knows that Kon spends exactly forty-seven seconds talking his ear off about literally every single one of the skate tricks he just did while still holding both his hands. Which doesnât sound that long, technically, but definitely feels pretty long.Â
And also pretty mortifying, because forty-seven seconds of Kon recounting every single trick that Tim is perfectly aware of having just done to him in an excited, delighted tone with his face all lit up in delight is . . . is a thing. That is happening to him. Actively. For forty-seven seconds.Â
Forty-seven seconds.Â
Tim really does not know how heâs supposed to pretend to not be going insane about this situation. Like that just isnât a reasonable expectation.Â
Kon stops to take a breath at second forty-eight, and Tim decides this is actually the perfect time to be more proactive in their physical relationship without any chance of Kon feeling like he had to drop any hints first.Â
Well, no, Tim just grabs Konâs face and kisses him stupid. But the first option is how heâs gonna explain why he did that to anyone he might ever have to explain it to, as opposed to if I didnât kiss him right then and there I was going to have to go murder the Joker at LEAST fifteen years early and I just don't think Batman's thinly-veiled excuse for mental health could handle that, which is understandably a more loaded response and might lead to inconvenient follow-up questions he really doesnât have time for in his schedule.Â
Ideally he wonât be explaining himself to anyone, obviously, but contingency plans are contingency plans.

On the scale of 1 (Rise of Skywalker) to 10 (Shadowbringer/Endwalker), where would you place Veilguard?
critical post
Iâve burst into enraged tears like 5 times since I finished it, which is not nearly even close to as many times as Rise of Skywalker, but still 5 times too many. Just the shallowness of the writing, the obviousness, the incredible frustration at the simplicity, the ignoring so much of my favorite character in order to make a stupidly simple plot work, the horrendous time I had trying to ignore Rookâs annoying stupid fuckass pov while just trying to self-insert myself into the end of my favorite fictional character of all timeâs story after waiting 10 years. I screamed in frustration that I had to hear the painfully obvious commentary these brand newcomer characters who I did not give a shit about, explaining to me like a toddler how I should feel about revelations I have been writing about for 10 years, especially when what they were saying was stupid as fuck. I cried at the thought of so many cutscenes and so much effort went into stories I found very forgettable and went nowhere, while they were able to only scrounge up like 10 total animated shots reuniting Solas and Lavellan. I mourn that I could not make any decisions in a BioWare game. I mourn Solasâ story so much, and probably will for years. I will never get over the way they talked down to him and never listened to him for even a second, lest they actually have to write a branching path into their game. I hate that the theme was regret but Rook regrets nothing ever so (shrugs) regret doesnât affect them or mean anything to them. I mourn the loss of the voice and point of view of his people, the ones he was fighting for, the ones who are alive. I mourn that it turns out that heâs just a stupid feral dog who is 100% wrong about everything always and he always has been from the beginning of time. I cried that the game said the answer was that Solas should NOT try to help his people and they never even discussed it as a philosophical question or the ethics of it or anything, or playing as a character so dense they never once even wondered if accidentally freeing the gods killed more people overall than the veil coming down would have. (We avoided this question like the plague, lest we feel less like purely Good Heroes who could talk down to the gods with righteous fury). I mourn that Iâm never going to know what would have happened without the Veil. I feel so stupid for thinking that elves or spirits as factions would appear in any capacity with lines and perspectives in this game. Iâm so angry at how safe and smoothed over everything in the setting is, and how it felt like the main characters never struggled with anything and have nothing to say. I canât believe Dragon Age is so shallow and unsatisfying and head-empty. I mourn that the story of Dragon Age is Over to me and I will never play another game.
Iâve also cried a few times at the completely separated and individual imagery and music in the last scene. Iâve cried that my favorite character didnât die in any world after 10 years of being at deathâs door. Iâve cried at the thought of him being a little worm spirit, and that I was right about him the whole time. I cried when activating Felassanâs crystal in the final fight and seeing all the buffs. I cried when I turned the page and realized the default inquisitor was exactly the same as my personal Lavellan, down to hair style, eye color, hair color, vallaslin removed. I cried when I realized Solas thought he should have died as a spirit rather than be born. I cried that the main story Dragon Age has been telling the whole time has been about the reconciliation and freeing of my favorite fictional character. I cried that Solas and Lavellan got married in the end, when I genuinely wasnât expecting either of them to even be alive. Theyâre both still alive and in love in every single world. I canât wrap my head around that.
I have no idea where to put it. Itâs a few high highs but some intolerably low fucking lows. It could have been so much worse but the bar is on the fucking floor. I go back and forth between moderate enjoyment to just being so angry. It could have been so much more and I do not know who to bite for it.
I have no idea.

Grand Arcane S2 review
because I really need it to move on
Remember how I mentioned I could write an entire book about everything that went wrong with this season? Well, this is what a little excerpt from it would look like.
Let's start with a personal note to clarify my relationship with this hell of a piece of media.
S1 was this miracle show that was able to break through the several years of depression and anhedonia and make me interested in something, make me try to get back into making art (or at least try to try), to put myself out there on the internet a bit, to try be a part of something and not ashamed of enjoying it, which I never allowed myself before. Coincidentally, I've been at what I thought then was the worst place in my life when it aired and it helped me a lot to get through it. I didn't even think I would make it to see S2, as thee years felt like forever then. Taking all that into consideration, I think you can already tell where this is going.
I honestly thought I was prepared for S2 not being good, as no show could be this perfect. Turns out I wasn't prepared at all. Act 1 made me very happy, so happy I watched it two times, but the rest is something I would've never watch again and rather forget about.
The characters I wanted to see the most were Warwick (body horror, The Wrath of Zaun haunting the streets - got just a glimpse of that, but it felt like nothing) and Viktor (cyborgs and cyber gore, misunderstood idealist, Blitzcrank - got basically nothing; the idea was kinda there somewhere, but got changed so much it didn't matter at all).
I can't believe they took a godforsaken champion like Viktor and not only ruined his story completely, but also managed to fuck up everything else by all of a sudden making him a center of all of this mess. The center being the arcane/hextech/magic, which never even gets resolved/explained. Still no idea why it got corrupted and what was the nature of it; the void was never taken anywhere despite being heavily hinted - everything was evil because it was, but luckily the magic of friendship saved us!! (I'll get to that)
Speaking of crucial plotlines that weren't taken anywhere.. Basically every character got screwed over and made empty. Let's use Vi for a quick example (may not actually be the best example, but hopefully you'll get what I mean) - when I saw the pit fighter scene released early, I expected to see it have a continuation in the show, but instead it ended up just being the exact same music video, nothing more. And that goes for some more events - they get compressed into music videos that make it all incredibly hollow. Fight scenes are fine like this, sure, but not something that was supposed to be a bit more emotional and serious. Anyway, they successfully made me hate most of the characters. Either hate or just straight up not recognize them, and in a bad way.
Long story short the pacing is awful (it only gets back to normal in ep7, as it resembles the structure of S1) and the writing sucks ass. I can't for the love of god believe it was written alongside S1. There's no way in hell - it's literally all the worst fan theories I've seen come to life and get mixed with fanservice. *puts on a tinfoil hat* Maybe this is the real why they needed an extra year or two, as S2 was initially supposed to be released earlier. No way in hell the same people who wrote S1 and cared so much about the characters would do anything like this. Riot must've gotten heavily involved, making us believe they cut the story short (I think 5 seasons in Piltover/Zaun were planned initially?) for the benefit of it, but all it really was is greed - let's make a bunch of bullshit happen and quickly move to another region to sell more skins for new champions.
Now let's get back to the ending. Man, it really had it all - the nonsense, the multiverse bullshit which basically makes nothing make sense anymore (if there was anything left), the (yes, I'm going to say it, because that's exactly what I felt) cringe and embarrassment. Never seen anything more hollow trying to convince me it was deep and emotional (sums up the whole show perfectly).
How the hell the only thing that was supposed to save Viktor from himself was Jayce telling him he's perfect the way he is? Sure, don't try to cure your illness (that my city caused, but "fortunately" another crucial part of the plot, which is the sister cities conflict, ceased to exist), it makes you beautiful, this is who you are (miserable, unwanted, feeling meaningless and like a burden, dying). I am at loss of words.
Now buckle up jayvik fans. I wasn't a fan of the ship as I'm not a fan of any ships in general, but now I despise it. I wouldn't mind if they actually went on with it, which no, they didn't. We don't want two men kissing (women making out is fine tho, won't make the gamers too angry), so let's play extra safe to make sure it could be explained as any type of other close bond (and that's exactly what Christian Linke does when asked about it). You disgusting cowards, either you show me this in plain sight and I wouldn't give it a second thought, or don't even try bring it up at all (and you can't deny it wasn't implied in S1 with all the Viktor's looks and parallels to Mel).
Where do I even begin? Because I don't think you have any idea on how many levels it actually sucks. If you read it as romantic it's basically telling me that if I was a gay man struggling with my feelings and not being able to confess for years, because I'm convinced I'm unworthy of love as something is inherently wrong with me, then the best I could get after surviving all this (what honestly seems like hell) is a hug, because you're ashamed of me and thus I should be ashamed of who I am till the very end.
Something equally bad is Jayce finding out (or rather we finding out) how wonderful the world could look like if he let go of his beautiful dream, his life's work, and killed himself - it never gets denied, as the corruption of hextech doesn't get explained.
Long story short, if you're struggling with your mental health, trauma issues, disability or any of the problems the characters you related to deal with, this show spits you in the face.
I could go on forever about everything that's wrong (even Jinx got played dirty), but let's finish with the few things I liked: act 1 was promising (it's when I believed they could still make sense of Viktor), fun Sevika's arcade arm fight, the epic fight at the Janna's temple (Woodkid goat), Jayce killing Salo (I felt something) and Jayce's glitchy madness in general, young Vander flashback (felt something), ep7 and Singed's story (the only one that makes any sense).
Other than that the show left me with nothing but void in my heart (I guess that's when it all went). The saddest thing being the masses love it anyway, as it seems they'll watch anything that's colorful enough. And Riot will make lots of money of off it, because in the end they never loose. I'm not denying Fortiche absolutely outdid themselves with the art, it's just heartbreaking nothing else even remotely stands up to it.

A little Eddie whump character analysis deep dive.
And defending symbrock while I'm at it and why I think movie Eddie was actually well thought out as a character and not just because "the stereotypical macho blonde asshole would not have been popular."
I'm exhausted so hopefully I didn't mess up the details too bad. Been a while since I read the comics.
Sprinkle in some of my ADHD so expect a bit of rambling. I added some gifs because I do love a picture book.
It's canon that Eddie Brock was abused by his father growing up. And the abuse was mostly emotional, lack of love, and lack of concern.
And gentle reminder that not everyone handles trauma the same, no matter which kind, and I feel like the way they wrote Eddie for the movies showcases another side to that trauma versus the comics. There's so many little details that even if it's just Tom being the amazing actor that he is portraying that side and not actually having those details written for him, it's still amazing.
Because Eddie's father was cold and emotionless after he lost his wife during childbirth. And of course Eddie tried everything to gain that love, just to be constantly subpar and never good enough for even a second glance.
After an accident involving drunk driving where Eddie hit a child, their relationship only got worse. And later in the comics, he disowns Eddie completely after he loses his job.
The movie version of Eddie is the broken version of that trauma.
He tends to shy away from situations where you'd assume he'd rush in to, like saving Mrs. Chen.
Trying to help or inquiring when he notices Maria missing. Anything that involves complex emotions. He's a reporter, yes, and he's cordial when he needs to be, but he seems to stick to his job and otherwise keep to himself. They don't exactly show that he has any friends, just Anne. So he's probably introverted because of the years of abuse and having to feel like he has to do everything alone with little to no strings attached.
Even simple things like getting into Anne's emails can be misunderstood. It's not malicious, but more misguided. He loved Anne. He didn't do what he did with intent to get her in trouble. But his poor decision making is probably also a part of not actually being raised and not knowing how to handle certain situations such as actually talking to your partner before you do things on your own? So much could have been avoided. And Eddie had good intentions of getting rid of Carlton Drake, but ruined his own life and Anne's as well because he didn't think things through.
He can't handle his emotions well (might also tie into the noises issue he seems to have that are not related to Venom, a possible trigger for him).
He has a lot of nervous ticks that also tie in with someone growing up in an abusive household. Emotionally stunted ticks. Like holding eye contact when someone he cares about is upset with him and he doesn't know how to fix it (because everything he does is wrong).
Even something you might think is simple, like apologizing, have had negative consequences as a child and might be why even though he's no longer in that situation, his brain isn't used to connecting any good emotions between them. He's probably not used to apologizing sincerely because doing so never meant it would change the outcome.
His mannerisms get worse when he's particularly anxious, like when he might have thought Venom didn't want to come back just as Anne when she left and never wanted to come back.
Again, because he pushed them away, just like Anne. Again, because he messed it up. And again, because he didn't know how he was supposed to fix it.
Because Eddie cares so much even though his head is always such a mess. Makes me think his dad had a say or two about Eddie constantly groveling for his attention and the way it might have made him seem weak, and Eddie in turn stopped himself from letting himself be so open and able to talk about these issues because of it.
His inability to form and/or hold any kind of positive relationship is a good telling sign.
He grew up vying for love without success. He doesn't know what a healthy relationship is supposed to look or feel like long term, even though he tries.
He probably just looks for some level on comfortable routine in his day to day with someone, assumes that's the best he's going to get, and hopes for the best. Any change and it throws him completely off center. He's not used to communicating in a relationship when he grew up talking to a wall.
Also why I think he handles being with Venom so badly. It's not the eating heads and it's not the whole 'alien living in my body' ordeal.
If something isn't obviously positive it feels negative to him in his mind, which makes everything worse. He's selfish in needing to keep his mental state positive. It no doubt contributed to his alcoholism.
He became a people pleaser. Not in the way of gaining attention, but because he's constantly trying to avoid any negative sentiments directed his way. He's already damaged. He doesn't want to have to feel worse.
Eddie is in constant fight or flight with Venom without knowing what the symbiote will do next and how he, Eddie, will be perceived. He becomes very anxious, and later, angry. He's always walking on eggshells.
But the relationship is different with the symbiote than it is with Anne. Even if Eddie doesn't explicitly say it, he feels safe with Venom. More able to let that rage out that he couldn't before. And because he doesn't feel like the symbiote is going to actually hurt him, when his stress gets to him he tends to lash out at it. It's a lovely little cycle of abuse and Eddie really needs therapy.
Venom didn't fully understand the layers of Eddie's traumatized mind yet in LTBC, which is why I think it lashed out as well. Like Anne had with Eddie. Again, it's different though. Venom understands enough to see through that mess and see that Eddie doesn't mean anything with what he says.
It never does damage with malicious intent to Eddie, comedic acts aside. Not even with the fight between them in LTBC. It breaks Eddie's nose twice just to heal it immediately twice, and doesn't leave him with any lasting damage at all.
Because it cares about Eddie. And because it was never meant to harbor emotions, it's probably going through the damn gambit having to feel everything through Eddie and feeling just as hurt by him.
This is also why I think Eddie is constantly complaining in TLD. He's again in constant fight or flight and too comfortable with Venom, so he's just lashing out. But you can tell the symbiote takes none of it to heart, sometimes even seeming to ignore his remarks completely.
Maybe after a year with Eddie it finally understands the pain underneath all that stunted emotion, anxiety, and anger. That, and Eddie no longer drinks his negative emotions away, which means he has less ways to calm himself when he gets too stressed.
Through everything, Venom is the only one who has the ability to see the issues that are deeper. It stayed through all that mess and decided that what was under the baggage was worth holding on to, without Eddie having to try and explain why he is the way that he is.
#symbrock#eddie brock#venom#brother if that ain't true love idk what is#don't get me wrong im fond of comic Eddie#but Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock is *chef's kiss*#probably forgot stuff but i've been thinking about this all day#need to get it out my brain#so tired i forgot i got rid of the tw paragraphs but forgot to remove the tw LMAO

OK I'm thinking aaron hotchner x wife!reader when he was sent to the middle east for a short bit to run a task force but then instead of him coming back for a "case" like he thought reader pulls him to the side and tells him he's gonna be a daddy for a second time! Just fluff
Mission: Daddy 2.0
A.H x Wife!Reader
Pure Fluff
Aaron Hotchner wasnât entirely sure what he was walking into. After weeks overseas, running a special task force in the Middle East, heâd expected a quiet return, maybe a subdued evening with you and Jack. But the minute he stepped through the front door, he knew something was different.
For one, you were practically buzzing with excitement, your energy so infectious it made his jet-lagged brain suspicious.
âYouâre back!â you exclaimed, throwing your arms around him before he could even set his bag down.
He laughed, the sound low and warm as he hugged you tightly. âIâm back,â he agreed, dropping a kiss on the top of your head. âMiss me?â
âLike you wouldnât believe,â you said, looking up at him with a sly smile. âYou hungry? Tired? Or are you up for⊠a surprise?â
That got his attention. âA surprise?â he repeated, his profiler instincts kicking in. âShould I be worried?â
You grinned mischievously, grabbing his hand. âOnly if you hate good news. Come on, sit.â
Hotch allowed himself to be pulled into the living room, where you all but pushed him onto the couch. He sank into the cushions, his curiosity growing by the second as you began to pace in front of him, clearly trying to find the right words.
âOkay,â you started, hands on your hips. âSo, you know how Jackâs been asking for a sibling?â
His eyebrows shot up, caught completely off-guard by the question. âI⊠do. You told him to ask Santa.â
You pointed at him. âExactly! Which was a brilliant distraction, thank you. But, uhâŠâ You trailed off, biting your lip to keep from laughing.
âBut?â he prompted, leaning forward.
âBut it turns out, we mightâve beaten Santa to it,â you blurted, throwing your hands up as if to say, Surprise!
For a moment, he just blinked at you, clearly trying to connect the dots. Then his gaze dropped to your stomachâthough there wasnât a visible change yetâand darted back up to your face.
âWait,â he said slowly, his tone incredulous but tinged with dawning realization. âAre you sayingâŠ?â
You couldnât hold back your grin any longer. âIâm pregnant, Aaron. Weâre having another baby!â
His reaction wasnât immediate. Instead, he sat there for a beat, looking almost comically frozen. Thenâlike a switch had been flippedâhe was on his feet, closing the distance between you in two long strides.
âYouâre serious?â he asked, his voice breathless as his hands found your waist.
âCompletely serious,â you replied, laughing at the way his face lit up.
He let out a stunned laugh, pulling you into a tight hug. âHow long have you known?â
âA few weeks,â you admitted, resting your head against his chest. âI wanted to tell you in person, but it was torture keeping it to myself.â
Hotch leaned back, looking down at you with a mixture of awe and teasing exasperation. âYou mean you let me get off a 14-hour flight and didnât warn me I was about to have my life changed?â
You smirked, looping your arms around his neck. âI figured a little suspense would keep you awake. Was I wrong?â
He laughed again, shaking his head. âNot wrong. Just⊠unbelievable.â His hands slid to your stomach, resting there gently as if he were afraid of breaking the moment. âAnother baby,â he murmured, his voice soft. âHow do you feel?â
âExcited,â you said honestly, covering his hands with yours. âAnd a little nervous. But mostly excited. Jackâs going to lose his mind.â
That earned another laugh, and Aaronâs eyes sparkled with amusement. âHeâs going to ask if he gets to name them.â
âOh, absolutely. And the first suggestion will be something ridiculous, like âSpider-Man Hotchner.ââ
âOr âCaptain Jack,ââ Aaron added dryly, earning a snort of laughter from you.
The two of you stayed like that for a moment, the excitement settling into something quieter but no less joyous. Finally, Aaron tilted his head, a sly smile curving his lips.
âYou know,â he said, âIâve faced international criminals, interrogated spies, and worked with some of the most brilliant minds in the world. But somehow, you still manage to outsmart me.â
You grinned, leaning up to kiss him. âThatâs because Iâm the real mastermind in this family, Hotchner. Donât forget it.â
âNever,â he murmured against your lips.
And as Jack came barreling down the stairs a few moments later, demanding hugs and peppering Aaron with questions, you knew this was only the beginning of a new, beautiful adventure for your growing family.

Guilliman's Soup
"Look, I'm not going to harm any of you, not unless it involves stuffing Guilliman in a room without his....." Fulgrim trails off, the demon prince's lower half coiling in discomfort as he stares at the abomination that bubbled within the pot. It smelled distinctly of both MjĂžd and cigarettes, appearing as something that Fulgrim was uncertain if even a Nurgling would eat. He certainly wouldn't. Actually he doesn't think any Slaaneshi demon is depraved enough to even attempt to make such a thing. He shakes his head. "Will I be allowed to help?" Calgar, who was certainly not at all expecting to see the demon prince of excess himself at the entrance to the Imperial palace, couldn't decide if this was a good thing or a bad thing. On one hand it meant that his primarch wasn't affected by any chaos god, if even Slaanesh was getting involved; on the other, did he really want to accept the help of a demon prince? Especially one that is well.... Calgar sighs deeply, "Fine, you might actually be a good deterrent to Dante anyway. He's been a pain in the ass" "Who is-" Fulgrim doesn't get to finish his sentence as a very old marine of what appears to be of the blood angel's chapter is shooed away by a serf with a broom, wacking the marine's shins with it as he hisses like an angry goose. Fulgrim has his answer on who Dante is but is now even further confused, "I thought Blood Angels were supposed to be noble?" "I'm hoping the soup will kill me" Dante helpfully responds which has the demon prince blinking in utter shock, because what the fuck happened to Sanguinius' sons!? Another Ultramarine, this one apparently named Cato is crawling on his hands and knees out of the room where Dante came from, coughing and generally being a rather sad sight with the stench of both vomit and the abominable liquid upon his breath. Slaanesh, who just briefly decided to turn her head towards whatever the fuck her demon prince was doing, vomits and mutters 'I can't believe none of this was Nurgle's idea; he actually wants the fucking recipe!'. Needless to say, Fulgrim doesn't really want to know what's exactly in that pot. Instead he dryly says "I'm amazed this hasn't summoned anything other then myself..." Calgor sighs "No, it has, there's the Sanguinor, and it's currently being kept back by some Sister of Silence out of fear that it's going to beat Dante to death with a sandle. Personally I'm not fond of trying to explain to the blood angels that we didn't kill their chapter master; it was the soul of Sanguinius, himself, that ended his life. I can't see that going too well...And Cato, please stop eating father's soup." "But-" "No buts or I'm throwing you into the same room as the Sanguinor" That stopped any more protests out of Cato who shuddered at the very idea of confronting the very angry warp spirit that was half of mind to possess someone.
The sound of what Fulgrim could still recognize after all these years as a very angry Leman Russ can be heard in the distance yelling "WHAT DID YOU FUCKING DO WITH MY FUCKING MJOD, ROBOUTE!?" This was going to be a long and terrible process, Fulgrim just knows it. ____ This short story was inspired by a convo between myself and @moociaoafterdark on this post.

something about you | draco malfoy
Summary: After a rough week, you have one two many butterbeers and get help from the last person youâd expect. Warnings: being tipsy?? Word Count: 1.4k Authors Note: this is a repost from my old account. i wrote it in 2020 so its not the best but i wanted it on this account to keep all my best fics in one place <3
Weekends meant Hogsmeade trips which were your favourite part of the week. There was nothing like getting out of the school grounds for a bit after a hectic week of classes. As much as you loved Hogwarts, it was nice to get away from the chaos of the castle sometimes even if it was only for a few hours. It was even nicer after a stressful week and to say this week had been stressful was an understatement. Right from the get go everything had seemed to be going wrong. Youâd managed to forget your potions homework which had resulted in detention then, because of that, youâd missed your date with Seamus. It hadnât been that big of a deal â it wasnât like your relationship was serious but you had liked him. It wasnât enough for you to be upset when he asked if you could just stay friends instead but it did put you in a foul mood. It seemed that every time you had something good planned the world tried itâs best to disrupt it. So, the trip to Hogsmeade was needed. Very needed.
Usually, you tagged along with the golden trio but you decided to go solo today telling them that youâd meet them for a drink later on before you all headed back to the castle. As you walked through the main road, you spotted Draco Malfoy and his goons harassing some third year. You and Draco hadnât really interacted much other than the casual âhelloâ here and there but heâd always been rather polite around you so why couldnât he be like that with everyone else? You knew your friends had an issue with him and couldnât blame them but you had nothing against him. So far heâd done nothing to you but it did annoy you to see him bullying a poor, defenceless boy just trying to enjoy a day out.
âHey, come on. Leave him alone,â you said walking up to where the incident was happening. Goyle was the first to hear you, turning to face you with the ugliest sneer on his face.
âBack off. This is none of your business,â he said gruffly.
âWhat exactly has he done to deserve you bothering him? Just leave him alone. Youâre a sixth year and heâs a third. Pick on someone your own size.â
âI said back off.â
âGoyle! Thatâs no way to talk to a lady.â Draco had finally spoken up, glaring at his friend. âSince you asked so kindly, weâll let little Roger here be on his way.â
âThank you,â you gave Draco the tiniest of smiles as little Roger ran past mouthing a âthanksâ to you.
With that all sorted out, you went on your way not noticing the youngest Malfoy watching you as you did. Heâd always found you intriguing. Honestly, heâd always wanted to strike up a conversation with you but since you were in two completely different houses and he had a reputation to maintain, he opted for mostly ignoring you and trying to be civil. Part of him really hated the fact that he couldnât just do the things he wanted to but he couldnât take any chances of his father hearing about him doing such things. Befriending someone outside of Slytherin house was frowned upon so keeping his distance was his only option but little did he know that was about to change.
âBarkeep, another!â You yelled out earning funny looks from Harry, Ron and Hermione as you slammed your glass down on the table. Youâd been sat with them for half an hour now and had already thrown back about four butterbeers. They didnât even know how many youâd had before theyâd arrived but it was safe to say that with the way you were acting, you were pretty darn tipsy.
âMaybe you should make this your last one,â Hermione suggested, reaching out to place her hand on yours in a comforting manner. âI know youâve had a tough week but if you want to talk then Iâm here.â
All you did was shoot her a big, toothy grin in thanks as your new drink was placed in front of you. âItâs not like Iâm sad or anything. I just⊠need to blow off some steam, you know? When have you known me to get tipsy off butter beer anyway? Itâs just one time. Itâs fine.â
After another half an hour, Harry declared that he wanted to go back to the castle â Hermione and Ron agreed. They tried to get you to go with them but you refused telling them youâd make your own way back. Harry had tried to pull you up and drag you with them knowing you werenât exactly sober but you were too stubborn to budge. Ron had somehow convinced them you were smart enough to know what you were doing and with that they left.
It was one drink later when youâd finally decided youâd had enough, getting up out of your seat. But, youâd stood up too fast and with the butterbeer in your system it didnât help one bit, the whole room spinning. You gripped the chair with one hand to steady yourself.
âYou doing okay?â A familiar voice asked you. Your eyes glanced up to meet none other than Dracoâs.
âIâll be honest, blondie, I might have drank a little too much,â you said and couldnât help but grin at him.
âI can tell.â He pondered for a moment almost having an internal battle with himself before he decided he had to be a decent human being and help you out. âHere,â he said, grabbing your jacket nd helping you put it on. He held his arm out for you. You didnât even argue lacing your arm through it so he could help you back up to the castle.
The first few moments were silent until you spoke up curious as to why Draco Malfoy of all people was helping you out. âGot a feeling you donât really do this much especially when I caught you bullying a poor innocent boy earlier.â
âYouâd be right but contrary to popular belief, Iâm actually a decent guy. I have manners and know when to not leave a lady alone in your state,â he mumbled.
âIâm not that drunk, you know. Just tipsy.â
âTipsy enough for me to be concerned and it takes a lot to concern me. Whyâd you even drink that much anyway? It takes a lot of butterbeers to get anyone drunk. Rough day?â
âTry rough week.â
âIs this about that imbecile Seamus? You can do much better,â Draco pulled a disgusted face at the mere sound of his name coming out of his mouth. At your confused look, he went on to explain. âI was walking past when you two were having a chat. Complete idiot he is if you ask me.â
A little laugh passed by your lips. âDonât hide how you really feel. But, yeah and no. He and I werenât even really together. It was just an culmination of things coming together all week. Iâm fine, though.â
He looked at you to examine your face for any signs that you were lying but he couldnât find any. You really did seem okay which was a relief to him. The last thing he wanted was to have some deep hearted conversation. It was a shock to him and you that he was even talking to you as much as he was.
Silence took over again as you reached the castle. Although, you didnât want to admit it being in his company felt nice. Natural, even. You felt comfortable even when it was silent. There wasnât any awkwardness. If you didnât know any better youâd think you actually liked being in Dracoâs company. He liked being in yours too but he was nowhere near comfortable enough to admit that.
âThanks for walking me back. Youâre alright, Malfoy,â you gave him a playful nudge with your shoulder causing a slight grin to form on his face. Funny, youâd never really seen him smile before. It looked good on him.
âYou too. I meant it, by the way. You can do much better than most of the boys in this retched school.â
âAre you about to make some overly dramatic speech and ask me out?â
This time a large, hearty chuckle came from him and you couldnât help but feel a little hint of butterflies start up that youâd been the one to get that out of him. Draco shook his head. âYou wish but who knows what the future holds, eh? See you around.
With a wink, he headed on into the castle. Well, now you couldnât wait to bump into your new favourite Slytherin more often.

five hargreeves x reader
work count: 3.2k
book summary: five hargreeves gets lost in time and your father forces you to go after him, leaving you to get lost in a completely different kind of solitude. after decades, you meet at the hands of the handler, except you're not exactly happy to work with him after what he did. the two of you agree to put your differences aside until you save the world. how hard could that be?
author's note: i'm finally getting into a rhythm with this story, three chapters in less than a week?? couldn't be me omg, though i did write this all in one day on the floor of my hotel lmao. not proofread or edited, please interact and i hope you enjoy!
There are two different kinds of people who attend family reunions:Â
One that doesnât start any conversation and holds an approachable aura, and one that starts making a peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich.Â
Five and Eight ignored their family as they stepped between them, making their way into the academy, leaving the adults puzzled and questioning what they just witnessed. The cuffs of their once neatly ironed and perfectly fitting pants were caught beneath their shoes, dragging mud onto the kitchen floors which Grace would eventually have to mop up.Â
Eight pulled a wooden chair out from under the table, folding her hands together on the tabletop, waiting for her family to file into the kitchen and start bombarding them with questions.Â
Of course she was happy to see them, she had missed them so much, but she found it hard to comprehend that they had all grown up without her. Feelings of anger arose in her for the thousandth time.
She hated Five for what he did.Â
She hated Reginald for everything heâs ever done.Â
Her fingernails had been digging into her skin. The screeching of her siblings wet shoes on the floor only irritated her further, her inner voice screaming for this dreadful conversation to commence.
The adults finally congregated in the kitchen, with Klaus sitting criss-crossed on top of the table. They all wore their funeral attire, yet Diego looked like a low budget vigilante.Â
Five opened up the cupboards lining the walls of the kitchen looking for the necessary items for his sandwich.Â
âWhatâs the date?â He asked as he set down a wooden cutting board and knife onto the table, âThe exact date.âÂ
âThe 24th,â Vanya responded.Â
âOf what?â
âMarch.âÂ
Five quickly calculated how many days they had in his head. They had just enough time.Â
âGood.â
Luther was fed up with Fiveâs lack of urgency to explain himself and sandwich making as he instigated, âSo, are we gonna talk about what just happened?â All of the adults stared at Five waiting for an answer, expecting him to be the one to explain everything in his usual dismissive tone.Â
Yet, he didnât comment.Â
He never looked up from the bread on the cutting board, prompting Luther to stand up with anger and say, âItâs been seventeen years.âÂ
âItâs been a lot longer than that.âÂ
The siblings all turned their heads to Eight, not expecting the statement to have come from her. The scoff however, they did expect.Â
Suddenly, they jumped. The whoosh of Fiveâs blink that they hadnât heard in years snapped their attention back to him.Â
âI havenât missed that,â Luther commented under his breath.Â
âWhereâd you go?â Diego asked as Five reached for the marshmallows above the cabinets, knowing that was exactly where Grace would hide them.Â
âThe future,â he answered as he blinked back to the end of the table, âItâs shit by the way.âÂ
âCalled it!â Klaus remarked, playing with Eightâs braid as she sat there bothered.Â
âI shouldâve listened to the old man,â Five sighed, reaching into the fridge, âHe knew. Jumping through space is one thing, jumping through time is a toss of the dice.âÂ
Five twisted open the jar of peanut butter and placed it in front of Eight. She glared at him. The smell of peanuts burned her eyes. She glared at him. Did he seriously credit Reginald for trying to warn him that day? Did he forget she went out of her way to try and stop him, she didnât have to but she did. Itâs not her fault he never listened to her but she was still right.Â
Eight zoned out as Five complimented Klausâs dress and continued to belittle the intelligence of their siblings.Â
She didnât want to listen any longer. She couldnât bear the smell burning her nose, triggering her allergies. She couldnât bear the wet clothes and drying mud on her skin. She couldnât bear Klaus gently slapping her in the face with her braids.Â
Only Klaus noticed as she disappeared into thin air, holding his hands out into the space where she once was. She had slipped through the dark shadow under the table and reappeared just outside the kitchen. The walls of the academy looked just as they did all those years ago. Climbing up the stairs slowly, Eight braced herself for the possibility she would bump into Pogo or Grace. Not that she was avoiding them, she just wanted to freshen up before their proper reunion.Â
As she was making her way to her room, she traced along the cartoonish depictions of defensive plastered along the walls. She hesitated slightly before turning the doorknob into her old bedroom.Â
There was no overhead light and her curtains were still drawn blocking the sun, so she left the door open a bit to let enough light in to look around. Her walls were black, absorbing as much light as possible. Books littered the floor in stacks, her bookshelves were filled to the max, unable to hold more literature.Â
There were several candles around the room, as well as glass dishes filled with crystals, and ashtrays for incense. Grace was always worried the girl would burn the academy down one day, whether that was just her maternal instincts or her robotic programming, Eight never knew.Â
She assumed there would be dust on everything, or maybe a few things would be sold or donated, but no. Everything was exactly how she kept it 16 years ago. Grace must have done some regular cleaning because everything was spotless. She wondered about how lonely she must have been. With her kids grown up and living their own lives.Â
Eight had always wondered what her family had grown to be like without her. What happened to the academy after it had lost two members. Five had mentioned finding a book that Vanya had written in the apocalypse. He didnât go into much detail, only saying she had revealed many family secrets, as well as the fact that Ben was dead.
Ben.Â
She turned away from him as soon as he said it. Tears actually filled her eyes, and she couldnât let him see that. Ben was her favorite sibling. The only person who she was comfortable sitting in silence with. They didnât need casual conversation to fill their time together, they could simply sit with each other and read for hours. She never found out how it happened, and she never wanted to know.Â
She went to close her door so she could change, and on the mirror that hung from it, she noticed a tear had snuck past her emotional walls and run down her cheek. It was gone in a second and she frowned and swiped it away. She locked the door and began to change into a clean uniform.Â
Once she was fully changed and the dirty suit sat in a pile in the corner of her room, she walked over to the mirror to fix her tie before a blue light flashed in front of her. She jumped back slightly, even though she knew exactly who was intruding.Â
Already changed into a clean uniform himself, Five stood before her, blocking the mirror. She shoved him aside so she could see herself and he moved to sit on her bed.Â
âHow much did you tell them?â Eight asked as she quickly did her tie. She could see Five looking around in the reflection of the mirror.Â
âEnough for now,â he replied.Â
He pulled out a prosthetic eyeball from his pocket. He had always brought up his concerns surrounding it, stating he believed whosoever eye it was would be the cause of the end of the world. Â
âHow are we gonna go about this?â Eight questioned, turning to face Five who stared at the eyeball as he turned it in his hand.Â
âWe start by attending our fatherâs funeral.â He sighed, placing the eye back in his pocket.Â
She looked around for her dress shoes that went with her uniform, then she remembered she kept them underneath her bed to make space for more books. She knelt down on the floor and reached her arm under the comforter but couldnât feel them. Lifting the blanket, she peaked her head under till she could see the leather shoes.Â
Half her body was under the bed as she reached for them, until she felt a shoe on her hip, shoving her over. She heard a snicker and footsteps walking out the door.Â
âDick,â she grumbled as she retrieved her shoes and shuffled backward until she was free from the dark. She tugged her leather shoes on and made her way downstairs into the living room where she found Five and Vanya.Â
She didnât pay attention to their conversation. What she did notice was the very visible portrait of Five that hung in the center of the room that definitely wasnât there before.Â
How come he got a painting made specially in his honor when he was the idiot who ran off. If anything, Eight deserved a painting for unfortunately being lost in a noble sacrifice to help find him. Her look of disgust mustâve given her away, as Five came up to her and whispered, âJealous much?âÂ
She glared and looked up at him, âNot when I burn it.âÂ
She hadnât noticed that Vanya was no longer standing there, having already left to head outside for the funeral. The two teens made their way outside as well, forgoing the umbrellas, even though they had just changed into clean dry clothes.Â
The funeral went exactly as one wouldâve guessed it. Diego spoke out about how monstrous Reginald was, Luther obviously disagreed, and the two fought like toddlers over a crayon. Eight watched the scene, swatting Klausâs hand away as he tried to move her further from the violence. It was a mess of disrespect all around, especially since the boys knocked over the statue in Benâs remembrance during the brawl.
Eight scowled at this, she turned around and walked right back inside with Five following suit.Â
Reginald deserved nothing. No kind words, no remembrance, nothing. What he deserved was someone to stick a cigarette in his muddy ashes. And thatâs exactly what he got.Â
~~~Â
After the funeral, everyone had pretty much decided there was no point in staying at the academy. Vanya had already called a taxi and booked it, feeling just as unwelcome as she did when she was thirteen, although Pogoâs kind words did make her feel a bit at home.Â
Klaus had propped his bare feet up on the kitchen table while strumming an unplugged electric guitar. Eight and Five had been scouring the kitchen for any trace of caffeine. They flung open cabinet drawers and checked above the cabinets but could not find even the tiniest of espresso beans.Â
Heels clicked against the floor announcing Allisonâs entrance, âWhereâs Vanya?âÂ
âOh, sheâs gone,â Klaus responded. Eight eyed him, wondering what exactly he was on at the present moment.
âThatâs unfortunate,â Five signed, closing the cabinet and holding an empty jar, âAn entire square block. Forty-two bedrooms, nineteen bathrooms, but no, not a single drop of coffee.âÂ
âDad hated caffeine,â Allison reminded him.
âWell, he hated children too and he had plenty of us,â Klaus giggled as he cradled the guitar.Â
Five and Eight gave each other a look that told the other they were done with the current conversation. They were both in withdrawal, they had their last cup of coffee the morning of their Dallas assignment. That was technically the same day, but these two teens needed caffeine to function.Â
âWeâre taking the car,â Eight announced as they both headed for the pair of keys hanging from the wall.
Klaus sat up concerned, âWhere are you two going?âÂ
âTo get a decent cup of coffee,â Eight said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, grabbing the keys off the wall.
âDo you even know how to drive?â Allison asked skeptically.Â
âI know how to do everything,â Five said as he snatched the keys from Eight and walked right out the door.Â
Technically, she didnât know how to drive, so she had no reason to be mad. But with Five, everything he did bothered her.Â
She followed him outside into the dark, wet alleyway as they got in one of Reginaldâs expensive vehicles.Â
Five started the car and drove through the city streets with ease. Eight reached for the radio but he quickly swatted her hand away. They did this about four times before she gave up.
âGriddyâs?â She asked.Â
âWhere else?âÂ
As they pulled up to the old donut shop, the memories of when they were younger flooded back. They used to come here all the time when they would sneak out. There was always that sense of thrill they got when they left their beds and ran here together and ate donuts until they couldnât handle anymore sugar. Of course this wasnât unnoticed, as Pogo always had an eye on them, but he knew the children loved this time together, so he never told a soul.Â
The two walked in as the bell rang above their heads, and sat on the stools next to an older man who was the only other customer.Â
Five impatiently rang the bell a few times, prompting an annoyed Eight to grab his wrist and pull it away.
She scanned the area. It looked exactly the same as it did over sixteen years ago. She wondered if that same lady was still working here.Â
Her question was answered as the donut lady walked out from the back room and stood behind the counter, ready to take their orders.Â
âSorry, sink was clogged,â she apologized while getting out her pen and notepad, âSo, whatâll it be?â
The old guy next to them ordered a chocolate eclair, and as she wrote that down she jokingly asked, âCan I get the kids a glass of milk or something?âÂ
Did she seriously think they were related to the trucker? Yes, yes she did.
âThe kids want coffee. Black,â Five ordered.Â
âPlease,â Eight corrected him as she kicked him. She saw no reason to be rude to someone simply doing her job.Â
As she nodded and turned around to get started on their orders, Five kicked back, causing Eight to kick back. They went back and forth a few times until Five grabbed her thigh to get her to stop.
âQuit it.âÂ
Eight stopped, but only because she was taken aback a bit by his action.Â
Also because he totally started it.Â
Eight stared at the countertop as she zoned out, not listening to the conversation where Five had gotten information out of the man next to him.Â
Eventually, their orders were placed in front of them and the donut lady went into the back to get more change. The old guy was kind enough to pay for their coffees which they thanked him for, and he left, the bell signaling his exit.Â
However, the bell rang once more, yet Five and Eight could see exactly who it was in the reflection in the bell on the counter.Â
A swarm of commission gunmen entered, guns pointed directly at their skulls, yet the two teens sipped their coffee unbothered.Â
âThat was fast,â Five remarked, âI thought weâd have more time before they found us.âÂ
âOkay, so letâs all be professional about this, yeah?â One of the gunmen came up close, pointing his gun at Fiveâs head, âOn your feet and come with us. They want to talk.âÂ
âWeâve got nothing to say,â Eight said, lowering her coffee cup from her lips.Â
âIt doesnât have to go this way,â the gunman said, âYou think I want to shoot a couple kids, go home with that on my conscience?âÂ
âWell I wouldnât worry about that,â Five chucked quietly, wrapping his fingers slowly around a butter knife.Â
âYou wonât be going home,â Eight smirked as she disappeared into her shadow, before reappearing behind one of the men, snapping their neck, before disappearing again. Five blinked and stabbed a few here and there.Â
Gunshots rang through the donut shop, glass flying everywhere, bullets ricocheting.Â
Soon enough, every single gunman was taken out. It was inevitable, no commission agent was better than Five and Eight.Â
Five had used his tie to snap the neck of one of them, which he retrieved and tied back on as he went over to the countertop. They both took turns cutting out their tracking devices, each cutting deep incisions into the otherâs arm and fishing out the pill-shaped light. They may or may not have dug around a few seconds longer than needed, just to watch the other squirm in pain.Â
The two of them walked out proudly, leaving their bloody mess behind for the donut lady and cops to find.Â
Eight was about to walk up to the car when she noticed Five walked right past it. Confused, she sped up a little to catch up to him.
âHello? Why are we ditching the car? Where are we going?â she questioned.Â
âVanyaâs,â was all he said as we walked onto the sidewalk.Â
âBut weâre leaving a trace?â She reminded, as if Five was stupid.
âSo,â he scoffed, shoving his hands in his pockets and he stared straight ahead, âOur DNA is on those mugs and our blood is all over the counter top. Itâs even on the fucking murder weapon. Either way, they wonât be able to find us.âÂ
âFine,â she admitted, âWell then why are we heading to Vanyaâs?âÂ
Five had had enough of her questions, which she could tell, yet she still wanted answers.Â
âHello?â she walked backwards in front of him, waving her hands in his face. He shoved her to the side and she retaliated by shoving him into oncoming traffic.Â
He blinked before he fell in front of a car and reappeared in front of her, causing her to bump into his chest.Â
He didnât look too happy once she looked up at him so they continued walking. Eight asked no further questions for the rest of the walk.
Once they got into Vanyaâs apartment, they sat down on the couches she had in her living room. Surprisingly, she wasnât home yet, so Eight decided to take a nap on the couch while they waited for her to return home.
The cut along her forearm stung like hell yet she didnât have the energy to go looking for a first aid kit. She kicked her shoes off and grabbed one of the throw pillows at the end of the couch, nestling her head on it.
Before she closed her eyes for good, she took a peak at Five, who sat in a chair and once again took out the eyeball, turning it, analyzing it.
She wondered what the hell wouldâve changed about it in the last five decades as she slowly fell asleep.Â
Hey guys... this is my first fic.. and for god's sake I'm so excited.... I hope you like the plot. And yes, I'm open to requests, girl! Enjoy reading :)
[Notice: my native language is not English, forgive me if there are any mistakes đ]
Subject: Fight in the Rain!
~~~~~~~~
If you were to describe today with one word, it would be shit.
You and Rafe went out to a dinner that you thought was special. The first moments were beautiful. You both were having a good time. Wine, food and a handsome gentleman Rafe... Isn't it heaven? The happiness didn't last long. When the tactless man at the table across from you sent a bottle of champagne to your table and his number with it, Rafe's veins started to boil with blood and anger.
Someone was trying to walk next to him, to his lover, to his lover.
Rafe was not a calm man, he never was. So he took the champagne in his hand and walked towards the man. If eyes could kill someone, this pimp had been killed many times by Rafe. As you watched him nervously, trying to grab his arm, Rafe broke the champagne in his hand over the manâs head.
Yes, your psychopathic lover.
And now, after all the chaos, you were sitting in the car, driving home. Rafeâs palm was bruised and bleeding from the shards of the champagne bottle. He was driving furiously as you carefully wrapped his hand.
âI wonder when youâll finally get your temper under control,â you grumbled.
Rafe glared at you as he tried to control his anger. âThat fucking pimp should be thankful I didnât stick a champagne bottle up his ass.â
You just rolled your eyes. You finished cleaning your hands as the car drove to Rafeâs house in the pouring rain. You could feel the tension in the car as you sat there silently.
âI should have killed him,â Rafe said angrily, his knuckles white from his grip on the steering wheel. âI should have buried him in that restaurant.â
You didnât say anything. This happened a lot. When Rafe got angry, he would mutter to himself and when he finally calmed down, he would start talking to you. You were sure this guy was a real psychopath.
Rafe looked at you while smoking his cigarette angrily. âYou shouldnât have worn such a short dress, are you going to be a bitch to me?â
You couldn't believe what you were hearing. The reason a man walked up to you was because you were wearing a short dress? Seriously? Was this man serious? âAre you serious, Rafe?â You frowned at him.
"Oh, come on Yn. Don't look at me like that. You caught that man's attention by wearing that fucking dress. That's what you wanted. To be a whore." He growled, blowing smoke from him cigarette.
You wore this dress for Rafe. Not for any other man. You clenched your jaw in anger, not going to last until you got home. You turned to Rafe as he sneered at you.
"Stop the car."
Rafe frowned. He looked at you as he tossed his cigarette out the window. âWhat are you fuckinh talking about?â When he stops the car, you grab your bag without turning to him and get out of the car. You can't stand him calling you a whore. You weren't a whore. You never were.
You were already crying with anger when Rafe got out of the car, cursing. Rafe grabbed your arm and turned you towards him as you drove through the rain. âWhat the fuck are you doing?!â
You pushed him away. You pulled away from him, your body boiling with anger. But Rafe didnât let you. He grabbed your arm tighter. âAre you trying to be a spoiled slut?! Wasnât it enough to get that pimpâs attention?!â
Your hand, which you knew was tiny, flew up in anger and hit Rafe's cheek. You hadn't expected him to be so harsh either. But his disrespect was too much. "You're not the Rafe I know." Actually, that was exactly it. Psychotic, rude, Rafe.
When Rafe stood there in shock from the slap, you continued to cry in anger and turned your back and walked away from him. Your hands were shaking and it wasn't because of the rain. When you took a few steps, you felt two strong arms around your waist. He pulled your shaking and wet body to him. Your back hit his broad chest. Your efforts to push him away were in vain as his face rested on your neck. "Baby...." you gasped when his muffled voice reached your ears.
âLet me goâŠâ your weak voice was mixed with the rain as your body leaned against his chest. Your eyes closed as Rafe held you closer to him. Your mascara was running down your face. Your black satin dress was soaked. The rain was cold, but the body you were leaning on and the arms that would have wrapped around your belly twice if they werenât embarrassed were warm.
âSshhhhâŠâ Rafe muttered quietly, burying his face in your neck. âIâll never⊠never let you goâŠâ he felt you go limp in his arms as he gently kissed your neck. You knew you were crushing your pride underfoot, but damn it, you couldnât help but feel his arms around you and wth his lips on your neck, and his voice muffled... what were you going to do but not give yourself over to him?
After a few minutes, when your hiccups had subsided and your crying had slowed down, Rafe removed your head from your neck and turned you towards him. "Look at me..." He gently lifted your chin. There was no anger in his blue eyes. There was compassion. A feeling he showed only for you. The shield in his eyes was lifted. Thereâs your Rafe.
"I'm sorry, okay? I meant to call you that... I mean call you bitch- damn it baby... I didn't mean to call you that shitty word..." He searched your eyes for any emotion as he looked at you. You looked up at him. You nodded silently. Your heart was still broken.
"Shit...." You looked up at Rafe as his huge hands cupped your cheeks. "My baby... my beautiful girl... my love..." the words were making you drunker than the wine you were drinking. "I never meant to break that little heart of yours. I'm sorry... I'm sorry so hard... I... I don't know how to handle this..."
"I see..." Rafe felt worse when you spoke with your cracked voice. He looked at you while cursing himself and suddenly fell to his knees. He looked at you while you frowned at him. "Rafe? What are you doing?"
"Respect.... you thought I didn't respect you... I respect you more than I respect myself..." Rafe on his knees just out of respect for you... fuck, my god....
"Rafe, get up... come on..." you looked around as he continued to look into your eyes. The dark street was empty. You bent down in front of him and became the same height as him. "idiot... you're a complete idiot..."
If anyone else had insulted him he would probably be buried, but Rafe smiled slightly at you as you called him an idiot. âIâm your idiot... sorry baby, Iââ before he could finish his sentence your hands tangled in his wet blonde hair and you kissed him.
Smiling at the groan you heard coming from his throat, Rafe quickly stood up and lifted you up as well. His strong arms wrapped around your waist, and you wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him close to you.
"Fuck, baby..." He looked up at you, breathless, as Rafe's thick finger brushed against your wet lips. He kissed you hungrily as you stared at his lips. His arms wrapped around your slender legs and kissed you hard as he pressed your back against his car.
He kissed you until you were moaning and grinding yourself against his hardness. He moaned when you pulled his hair and whispered against his lips. "Fuck me until I forget how mad I am at you.." that was the last straw.
And Rafe fucked you in the backseat of his car until daylight, until the sun came up...
Hey, guys! I hope you like this....
When I wrote this episode, I wanted to write in a mood somewhere between season 2 and season 3 Rafe. A psychopath but a guy who respects his girl... you know he.
Don't forget to give information about the department you want! bye!

A couple more points I'd like to discuss, given the opinions I sometimes come across x)
Yes, I've been doing *analysis* a lot lately
Just give me some time
I've been saving all this up since 2013Â
And I won't rest until I say it all
In my personal blog lol
*Sulley cheated at games just for himself, It was a purely selfish act*.
No, not just for himself. Because before that he literally defended Mike in front of the dean, and sincerely believed in him, but after her words *do you really think he's scary?* he began to doubt. Yes, he did all this so that everyone could get into the scary program, including Mike. Yes, he did a bad thing (which he already regretted a thousand times), but he did it not only for himself, otherwise the scene between him and the dean would not have existed. If he didn't care, he wouldn't have protected Mike, or tried to train him, he would have just done what he did.
*That conversation between Mike and Sulley (lake scene) is meaningless because Sulley doesn't understand him*.
He honestly admitted that he doesn't understand him, and honestly responded to Mike's claims that *everything comes easy to monsters like you, no matter what you do, you always win*. As it turns out, no? Everyone needs to try to achieve something, even when you have talent. If Sulley didn't try himself, he would not have achieved anything. And he admitted that everything in his life goes wrong, only because of him, and nothing can just happen if you don't try. So the reproaches about this scene are pointless, they both expressed their point of view and both understood each other.
*After fear was replaced by laughter, employees are now working overtime, Sulley is a bad boss*.
I don't really agree. This is not the moment when you get a ready-made business and you just do exactly what was done before you, this is a business from scratch, there is a complete restructuring, and this takes time, besides, no one is forced to work here. Seriously, what can you expect in a situation like this, when you don't have enough workers, and the management demands FAST results. Especially when you were made a boss on someone's whim, and now you have to clean up all the mess. In the future working hours should return to normal. By the way, he also works overtime.
And also my personal opinions on why I didn't like some of the scenes from maw related to him:
1. That episode with baseball, I still honestly don't understand why everyone, including Sulley (who suggested it himself), got mad at Tylor, who literally did what he had to do. Some weird childish grievances, he suggested it himself, and he himself got offended.
2. With all due respect to the scene with the *revelation* of Tylor in the eighth episode, it was very strange....
Everyone just went and believed that Tylor did all these crimes, and the company does not even have banal security cameras? Sulley just believed all the accusations and did not even think that they could be false? Considering that he KNOWS Tylor, and they have a good relationship in general.
But, you know, don't blame the character for a lazily written script... Everything happened so conveniently, just so that the script would work out as it should. It's a children's series, no one will ask questions, right? And this applies to ALL the characters in the series, which is why I sincerely hope for a sequel in the form of a full-length film, and not a continuation of the series.
At least with writers who care about how they portray the characters and the franchise.
đčA few thoughts about Sulley, why i like his character and his relationship with Boođč
(personal opinion and views, I can say the most predictable basic things, and yet I want to express my personal feelings, it's corny but it's honest work)
(also a lot of words..and doodles)
I apologize in advance if I expressed myself in some way unclear or incorrectly and for grammatical mistakes, since I am not strong in english ")
Personality and appearances:
All of the Monsters Inc. characters have great designs that complement their personalities perfectly, and Sulley is no exception.
I LOVE how his design perfectly captures his character. He has soft and sharp features, just like he himself can be *soft and sharp* at the same time. He has a gentle nature, but under the right circumstances can become formidable and even dangerous. In other words, I like the fact that while he is calm, you may forget or even not know HOW scary he can be in the moment, that is, exactly until he HIMSELF shows it. A great way to show a character's kind nature without forgetting who they are and what status they have in their world.
I olso like that he is not a *perfect do-everything-right* protagonist. He is impulsive, he listens to himself and his opinion is based on his own considerations, often incorrect or risky.Â
People can say that only at Monsters University Sulley is so *rebellious* and only does what he wants (hinting at how calm and humble he is in the first film as opposed to the prequel) and, based on my personal observations, I can say that he is ALWAYS like this, he acts for his own reasons, and yes, he acts from considerations of *do what is right*, but what is *right* everyone understands in their own way.
For example, like when he risked his and his best friendâs life/career for the sake of a human child whom he had known for a couple of days, or when he cheated at games and then goes to save Mike from the human world. Always impulsive decisions based on feelings and oneâs own understanding of what is *right* at the moment.
He also thought that it would be right if he was in the company of high-status monsters and behaved the same way as them (because his family and those around him expect this from him, I believe), and he realized that he was wrong only when he understand (and saw) that he could be himself and that he canât judge everyone by their appearance and *status* (specifically in that scene when Mike secretly brought everyone to the MI in order to show the uniqueness and dissimilarity of each monster)Â
What I mean is that his worldview is always changing based on what he sees and feels, and he always acts based on his personal understanding of what is right and don't, which I find actually a very interesting character trait for a protagonist (not that it's super rare, but still).
Also how many different emotions he can express, from joy to rage, I always liked characters with a rich *baggage* of emotions, and who at the same time do not irritate, do not become hysterical with or without reason, and who simply use emotions at the right moments, not going too far, that is, not capricious and not *drama queens*.Â
Another small detail I really like is the fact that Sulley is very aware of his physical strength and never brags or uses it unnecessarily. He is VERY strong, and somehow communicates and contacts with the smallest creatures without any problems, and does not even really use his full strength in a fight, only as self-defense or protection of another.
I also see a lot of different opinions about his prequel version, but honestly? I only started to like him more after university. He was shown from a completely different side, as was his development from who he was to who we know from the first movie. Showed what kind of character he is without Boo. What he thinks about, what he worries about, what kind of relationships he builds, his goals, what did it take for him to get to that point in his life that is shown in the first movie. Love how he went through his arc from "worst to best", how he accepted and realized his mistakes, and how he gradually became attached to those who are dear to him.
(the way he expressed himself to Mike at the end? Being the only one who told him the truth, while highlighting his virtues, thereby showing how attentive he is to those around him and how much he values ââââthose who help him)Â
Although Iâm not really a big fan of the prequel, and I also think some scenes from there are little...questionable, and how Sulley turned out different from the version from inc, but in GENERAL I can connect these two images together, I can understand why Sulley behaves this way (given his problems with family and self-esteem), and how in fact it fits with him as an adult.
I can also say that in general I like the way he is written in Monsters at work, despite the fact that he and Mike donât play a special role for the series, Iâm just glad that he act's like himself and hasnât been spoiled, heâs still trying to make the right choices in life, dealing with a situation that he never even thought about or was ever prepared for, and I just like the little funny moments with him.
Of course, you can't do without *questionable scenes* and sins (and animation ")), but overall I'm quite pleased.
(and I noticed that the writers kinda combined his images from mu and mi, big fan of this decision)
Overall, we have an interesting, well-written protagonist, with excellent design, a great movie as a solo film, and even prequel/series as a good bonus.
Why I think his relationship with Boo is so beautifully written:
First of all, I like the way they met for the first time.
Namely, HOW Sulley reacted, because we know that children are not only *toxic* for monsters, they are literally consumables for them, without feelings, without any rights, which means do with them what you want, your conscience will not torture you.
But Sulley never harmed her, although he could have used any means to get rid of her, because at that time he did not perceive her as a *person*, and still acted with caution. Tried to calm her down, cheer her up, and even sang her a song before bed, although he shouldnât have even tried?
He understands that she is a living being after all.
And he actually care about this *creature*, he himself decided to bring her home, stayed up all night making a costume for her, he even realized that she is a girl and referred to her correctly all the time, and not as a *thing* (even worried that she was in the men's locker room? ")).
I just love the fact that he treats Boo well INITIALLY, he doesnât hate her, he doesnât think sheâs a burden that needs to be gotten rid of.
He truly begins to worry about her when he finally becomes attached, but even at the very beginning he treats her tenderly as possible. And itâs just very cute to watch how they gradually get closer and Sulley becomes more and more attached to her, which makes him openly ignore all the advices of his best friend, whom he listened to and supported unconditionally before. He begins to worry about her so much that he no longer pays attention to everything that happens around him, he doesnât just want to get rid of her quickly, but wants to protect her and do everything possible so that she gets home safely, and does not end up in wrong hands. And this attachment became SO strong that he was ready to leave his friend alone in the human world, risk his life saving her, and he no longer cares about HIS position and condition, she became his number one priority, and this is very damn touching honesty.
And, of course, THAT ONE scene, key to Sulley's development as a character, a scene, where he accidentally scares Boo.
A moment, where his whole consciousness is turned upside down, all the experiences that he went through became meaningless, and the work to which he devoted his life turned out to be cruel exploitation, in addition, a huge feeling of guilt, which will be difficult to get rid of for a long time, and everything that was important in his life ceased to have value, everything except the safety of this one *thing*, the *thing* he shouldn't have felt anything for.
I really love this scene, it perfectly conveys the mood of what happened, when you feel pity, compassion and understanding for both sides.
(you'd think that Sulley stop scaring kids just because of this scene, but honestly? Iâm more than sure that it would be difficult for him to do this after meeting Boo, after what he experienced with her, it would be difficult to continue working in this direction)
And one of the best details for me is the fact that this event does not remain without a trace for the characters, this experience has consequences, they don't just continue to live as if nothing happened, Sulley realize that people are also living individuals with feelings that should not suffer, as a result of which he not only changes himself, but also changes his environment for the better, considering that the majority simply will not understand him, he considers it his duty to do something to somehow change and influence the situation (even without the fact that the energy of laughter is stronger than scream), and never again connect his life with what he feels guilty about.
The final scene with them is also so touching.Â
The way Sulley says goodbye to her, knowing that he will never see her again, everything he had to go through for one single moment.
Betrayal, discovery of a conspiracy, expulsion, a quarrel with a close friend, disappointment in himself and his life, he even almost lost his own life several times, and all this was experienced in order to bring home one little girl.
And I'm just sincerely glad that they didn't end there, all this time I wish I had seen at least a little short with them (because I just have to squeak with joy every time Boo is mentioned in the series :"))
I know that the first movie ended perfectly and there is no need for a sequel, but as a fan Iâm too weak :)
Honestly, this is the shortest and most general âessayâ I can write about him as a character, if I had my way (and enough strength/knowledge in english) I would describe every key scene with him.
So, thatâs all, I'm glad I was able to express my thoughts about a character that is important to me, at least in this format, and if you read to the end, thank you for your attention! đđ
(still waiting for a full-fledged sequel from Pixar and hope that it will come out acceptable...)
