my train of thought is being influenced, so i’m contemplating how flustered and quiet chiyo gets whenever the topic of romantic and sexual experiences comes up. if she’s just having to listen and be an ear, that’s one thing, but to talk about herself? she clams up a bit, tries to redirect the conversation or shut it down, depending on who she’s with. this isn’t a casual topic for her as there’s a lot of anxiety and shame attached to it — she doesn’t want to reveal her inexperience nor her knowledge bc she expects judgement on some level. she also doesn’t want any pity for having only the one boyfriend. that’d almost be worse.

but if you’re a close friend with similar concerns, you’ve gotten a few drinks in her, or you’re her partner, she’s more willing to be open and somewhat honest. she’ll still downplay her knowledge of sex for sure, but she’ll be honest about her inexperience and fears. she’ll be red as a tomato probably, but you’ll get somewhere at least 💜

if i’m being honest, my mental batteries are badly drained bc of the day’s events and then pushing myself to hang out with my sister when i knew i didn’t have the energy to do it. i’m really excited to write!! i wanna bug y’all and shout about muses!! and i feel bad to not be here after being away so much, but i need to recharge. i’ll write and chat tomorrow when i can devote more energy to it! pls have a very wonderful night and an even better week!!
