Sometimes I read a fic that contains all of my favorite tropes, is well characterized with a good plot that gives me literal and chest pain because the angst hits just right. And then in the last few paragraphs the writer just fucking ruins it in a way that makes me reconsider my thoughts on prison abolition.

Have You Read This MCYT Fic?
Inspired by @haveyoureadthisfanfic! Banner art by @wassup-its-e
Submission Form | MCYT Fanfic List | Example Post
Any MCYT Fandom is allowed. This blog intends to be Non-RPF, so remember that the fics are about the characters not the creators. If you don't like something about the fics or polls, just keep scrolling. You are not required to interact with content that you don't wish to see.
This blog also doesn't care about what the content of the fic is, meaning fics can range from general audiences to explicit, and from fluff to graphic violence, and more. It is the creator's responsibility to tag correctly and it is your responsibility to heed the tags as warnings. Stay safe the best you can, and avoid/block/filter out topics and/or tags that you don't want to engage in.
Reblogs and the like will not be monitored closely, and this blog is not responsible for the actions of others. That being said, please do not put down (say negative things about) a fic, that fic's author, or fans of that fic. I do not care to see it, nor does anyone else, so only comment and/or interact if what you have to contribute is positive.
The posts will also include the author's Tumblr @ and a tag with their username if it is known. If the fic author's Tumblr is unknown, or if the fanfiction doesn't have a username attached, the post will be tagged with "author unknown". If you know the @ of an author, please share in the ask box or dm me, and I will update the fanfic list and the associated Tumblr post.
If you’re the author of a submitted fic, you have been pinged to 1) remind you that people like your fics 2) give you creator credit 3) promote your blog! If you don’t want to have your @ on a post, tell me which one you would like your @ removed from, and I’ll remove it. Remember that the majority of the votes are probably going to say they haven’t read the fic, but that’s okay! Focus on the facts that someone liked the fic enough to submit it and that there are people that have/plan to now.
Please try not to submit a fic someone else has already submitted! If there are repeats, I apologize, but there is no way I'm going to catch them all, or remember that the name is on the list people have so kindly made, so oh well; it's not the end of the world. I will try though. That being said, I have set this blog up with a queue, so there should be ~5 polls/recs posted a day, give or take.
If you have positive things to say about the fic, feel free to reblog the poll with its link as a recommendation, but I highly suggest leaving a comment on the author's work if you like it! Fanfic authors write these masterpieces for free, so the least we as readers can do is comment and/or kudos/like/etc!
MCYTblr Fanwork Ramble event: share the link to a mcyt creation either you or someone else made, mention the creator, and ramble about the fanwork in this blog's ask box!

You laid on the couch in your private quarters, the flames roaring as the overcast sky settled itself for the weekend, the small pattering of the rain landing on the window was tuned out as you held a book in your hands and welcomed a familiar weight on your chest - your lover, Larissa Weems.
Retiring to your quarters for the day was something that had become a routine for the two of you after months of dating - it had become a shared sanctuary for the both of you, especially Larissa as it let her be completely away from her work at the end of the day, all her worries fading away whenever she stepped through the doorway.
She was mindlessly twirling a lock of your hair between her fingers, taking in your scent with each breath as her cheek rested against your chest, watching her favorite show as you enjoyed each others company. Your free hand was tracing along her back, providing her comfort and making her subconsciously aware that you weren't leaving her side.
In the months that you had been dating, you had let Larissa set the pace of where this wanted to go. Being a professor and a principal at the same school definately had its ups and downs, but you made it work, regardless. Communication was the biggest thing in your relationship, making sure that any miscommunications or misunderstandings were made clear in a gentle tone, not wanting to upset the other and both knowing better than working on negative emotions.
You always tried to give her all the love that she deserved, all the love that she, sadly, never got from others. It pained you to think about the things that the precious woman right under your touch had been through, the days of heartbreak, the nights being unable to sleep, the countless amount of restless hours she had gone through without someone by her side to make her feel safe.
You vowed, since the moment you met her, you would always make her feel safe and comfortable in your company.
A large sigh had come from the peaceful beauty, breaking you from your focus on the book as a commercial played on the screen. Her hand had moved from your hair to trail under your shirt, tracing her fingertips along your stomach, her eyes looking down at your smooth skin.
You took a moment to look at her form. She wore an oversized sweater you owned, saying something along the lines of how your clothes were more comfortable, but you knew how much she loved to wear your things, so you let her. Her legs were bent with your own as a blanket covered the both of you slightly. She seemed so comfortable and so at ease, it melted your heart.
You put a bookmark along your pages and set the book gently on the side table behind you. You moved your hands to rub Larissa's shoulders, getting rid of any tension she still held there before kissing the top of her head and moving to gently pull all the pins from her hair. You set them all on top of your book and massaged her scalp, eliciting a rumbling hum from your lover.
"You know I'm the luckiest woman in the world, right?" You said softly, not wanting to break her gaze from her favorite show. However, she shuffled to look up at you, her chin resting on your chest, with a dreamy look in her eyes. A curious smile rose to her lips as she chuckled.
"And what makes you say that, my love?" You heart rate rose as a blush flooded your cheeks, you were sure she could feel it pounding in your chest underneath her touch from her actions. The sight in front of you was one you wanted to commit to memory. The way the flames casted an orange glow on her features and how her hair was sprawled out beneath her, long enough to fall down her sides and over the expanse of her back - it was as though there was a goddess living among you, especially with the spark in her eyes.
"Because…" You started to sit up a bit, moving to the side to flip her underneath you, your hands landing at her sides to hold you above her after guiding hers to rest at your shoulders. "I just so happen to be the lover of the smartest, most patient, elegant, regal, alluring- gods, I could go on.. The point is that I'm so lucky to have you.."
In between each compliment, you kissed a different part of her face, ending with a soft kiss on her lips as you finished your small ramble. When you broke away, she had the biggest smile on her face, meeting her eyes and casting a deep blush along her features. Your words had hit her heart, engulfing it in a warm hold.
"I love you.." There was nothing but sincerity behind her words, her thumb stroking along your cheek softly as she said as much. You kissed the pad of her finger before leaning down again.
"And I love you, sweet girl.." Your lips captured hers in a passionate kiss, coursing electricity through the both of you as your tongue swiped along her bottom lip. She smiled as she denied your access, a tease she loved to do from time to time, but you knew her weak spots.
You drew your hands under her sweater, your cold palms meeting the warm skin and leaving goosebumps in their wake as she shivered. You scratched down her sides, pulling a moan from the woman underneath you and creating an opportunity to explore her wet cavern.
You took your time exploring her mouth, your tongues moving in tandem before you pulled away, biting her bottom lip gently. You both paused for a moment, taking in each others forms and soaking in just how much you loved each other. Just as you were about to bring your lips back to hers, she spoke.
"Darling.." Her tone was soft and just above a whisper as she spoke. A worried expression filled your features as you thought of what she could be dwelling on so intensely.
"Is something wrong, love?" You asked, concern lacing your tone as you began to sit up only to be pulled back down by strong arms. The action made you laugh, a smile replacing your concerned notes as you looked back down at the sapphire goddess.
"Nothing's wrong.. I just- I wanted to.." It seemed like she couldn't bring herself to say whatever was on her mind, breaking eye contact with you to flutter her eyes all around the room - it only made you more curious as your smile grew at her actions. You grabbed her chin softly, moving it so her gaze was locked back onto yours, before speaking.
"What is it you want, sweet one? I can only help so much if I don't know the details, hmm?" Your tone was caring and curious, a blush filled her features at the forced eye contact, exposing just how much it flustered her.
"I.. Could we try- Can we-" A defeated and near frustrated sigh left her lips as she shut her eyes. She took in a breath in attempt to ground herself, before facing you again. "I want to sleep with you, y/n.."
You laughed at that. You had never seen her so flustered and so all over the place, it was something you would cherish as she felt safe enough to even bring the topic up. You always wondered when you would get to this point, not dwelling on if it would take months or years, you just wanted her to feel solid enough in her desires and wants before you dove in that direction.
You moved to sit up, successfully this time, as you pulled her up with you. You flashed a reassuring smile back at her as you rubbed her arms, tracing your hands up to cup her face. "You want to have sex with me?"
The question that left your lips only seemed to make her fluster more, the blush darkening as a quiet response was thrown your way.
"Yes.." She was adorable. You couldn't get over the bashful version of the woman before you, it was a sight you haven't seen often, so you tried to remember every feature and every emotion that crossed her before it faded away.
You moved your hands down to hers, holding them in a gentle grip. "This is something you want?" There was a glimmer of insecurity in your tone, there for mere seconds, before it disappeared. You were answered with a nod, something that caused you to throw a knowing look her.
"I need words, my love.." Your tone was soft, visibly settling her nerves as her shoulders relaxed and she let out a sigh. She looked deep into your eyes before speaking, only being met back with love and safety.
"Yes, I want this.. I really want this with you.. I've, however.. ..I-I've never done this before.." The admission shocked you, something she saw turn into confusion. You didn't understand how someone like her, someone so beautiful, so graceful, so intelligent, didn't have paramores or anyone before you that had good intentions other than this.
"And that's perfectly fine, Larissa.." Your reaction surprised her, as though she was waiting from the worst from you. It saddened you at the possibility of her being met with anything but understanding, knowing that she was probably picking at her own mind and every insecurity she had before becoming confident enough in the bond you both shared before bringing it up.
"We won't do anything you don't want or don't like, okay? If you end up not liking something or want me to stop then I want you to tell me. I want you to feel exactly how much I love you, and I plan on translating as much into every action I give you.."
A big sigh escaped her as she completely relaxed, her shoulders dropping and her jaw unclenching as she squeezed your hands softly, a small smile making itself known at her lips. "I'll tell you.."
"Good. Now, come here.." You stood up and guided her to the bed you shared in a gentle hold, the cool air of the room causing goosebumps to rise along both of your arms as the blanket no longer covered your bodies, but you ignored it as care ran through your veins and excitement ran through hers.
You guided her onto your lap, something you both loved, before pulling her arms to completely rest at your shoulders, pulling her near flush against you as you held her waist securely. You searched her eyes for any uncertainty only to find none, her eyes looking down at your lips just moments after. Her tongue darted out to wet her lips, and it felt as though your breathing had stopped at the small action alone.
You brought a hand behind her neck and pulled her in gently, crashing your lips into hers. You could tell with how her lips moved along with yours that she had wanted this for quite some time, meeting you with desperation and a moan as you took the opportunity to bring your tongue to hers.
Your hands moved along her smooth skin agonizingly slow for the blonde, exploring every dip and giving her thighs a firm squeeze before beginning to move them up her shirt, higher higher higher until you completely took the garment off of her.
You couldn't take your eyes off her as you took in her form, your eyes raking over the complete expanse of her exposed skin that was finally making itself known to you. Your hands moved up her body and traced along the underside of her bra with your thumbs, your eyes fluttering shut with desire at the small whimper that left her lips.
Your eyes met hers, she had her bottom lip between her teeth as her chest heaved slightly, a blush apparent on her cheeks matched with pupils blown with her desire for you. You took a moment to reach down to the hem of your shirt, pulling it off you completely in one swift movement so she wouldn't feel any insecurity at being the only one showing more skin.
You brought a hand to her neck, your fingers guiding themselves up under her chin and pulling her face closer only to move it, missing her lips, to speak softly in her ear. "Is this still okay, my love?"
Your hot breath ghosted over her neck, a shiver running a course down her spine as her eyes fluttered shut for a quick moment. You felt her nod slightly, causing you to move back and raise your eyebrow, your fingertips moving to hold her chin ever so slightly. The action made her swallow hard, her breath hitching as you made her look at you again.
"Y-Yes, sorry.." A small smirk lifted your lips, shooting her a proud look at her quick memory. You leaned in quickly, stopping just in front of her lips to watch her lean in, only for you to move back as she chased you. She noticed this, and her eyes fluttered back open, being met with your lips just a hair away from hers.
"Good girl.." You said before slamming your lips into hers, swallowing the whimper she had let out at the praise. She kissed you back with a newfound ferocity, her hands quickly traveling over your shoulders and torso. She had quickened up everything about her actions and you held in a chuckle after you had noticed that. You pulled away slightly, causing her actions to stop as she looked back at you.
"Slow down, Larissa.. I'm not going anywhere.." Your words seemed to heavily settle her, and you couldn't help but notice that. You shifted, moving her to rest against the pillowy mattress as her white locks of hair sprawled out and curled along the thick blankets and pillows of your bed. You gave her the softest of kisses while doing so, putting more reassurance in your words. "Let me love you.."
You had whispered those words against her lips, and you heard her suck in a breath. You moved your lips in a trail down her jawline, moving down her neck and meeting her pulse point. You bit down on the skin softly before smoothing your tongue over the area and sucking.
The sensation that rippled through her sent a heat to her core, her hand tangling itself in your hair as she moved her head to the side to give you more access. You left a few more marks of different sizes before pulling away slightly and looking at your work, a slightly sinister smile gracing your features, knowing it would take her a little bit to cover them up.
Your lips traveled down and trailed kisses along her chest, smoothing out your tongue and biting the exposed parts of her breasts. A moan left her as you moved your hands under her bra and smoothed your thumbs against her nipples, her nails digging into your shoulder slightly. "Y/n.. please.."
Oh..
That was something you never heard before..
But you'd be lying if you said you didn't want, didn't need to hear her beautiful moans escape her throat, your name fall from her lips over and over again..
One of your hands snaked around her torso, unclasping her bra from around her and pulling it down her shoulders and arms. You threw it to the side and were met with a mouthwatering sight beneath you, and you couldn't help but moan as you worried your bottom lip. Her features were flushed and we pupils were as dilated as they could be, her chest rose and fell quickly with her breaths and her hands rested on either side of her head.
This was definately something you could quickly find addicting..
"I want you, y/n.."
That sentence alone was enough to break any of your remaining resolve, capturing her lips in a bruising kiss before trailing down her body again. You left dark marks all along her chest before rolling your tongue over her right bud, capturing it with your lips shortly after as your hand toyed with the other.
A broken moan left her lips as her back arched a bit, pushing more of herself to you. You moved to the other bud, needing to give it the same amount of attention, as you pulled delicious moans from the goddess beneath you.
You trailed your lips down the rest of her body, getting rid of every article of clothing that still stood in your way as you kissed and bit down her thighs, getting rid of the rest of your own quickly after. You loved how much she was squirming under your touch, every trace, every pinch, every squeeze making her increasingly needier.
You looked over her completely, your breath lost in your chest as you took in how absolutely drenched she had become.
"You are every dream come true.. My needy girl," You traced two fingers through her slit, her hips bucking at the contact and a near pornographic moan leaving her lips as you circled her clit before pulling your hand away completely.
"So wet for me already.." You brought the hand up to your lips while you spoke, taking them in your mouth when you finished. You groaned at the taste of her and decided that you needed more. "Absolutely delicious.."
You kissed back down her other leg, the smell of her arousal increasing as you continued to tease her. You hooked your arms around her thighs, keeping her squirming down a bit, before kissing along her slit.
"Please, please, y/n I-" She was cut off by an unadulterated moan rushing out of her, the feeling of your tongue licking through her folds giving her the pleasure she had been craving. You dipped your tongue as far into her entrance as you could, taking as much of her juices as you could, moaning again at the taste of her.
The vibrations had sent a wave of pleasure through her, her core growing increasingly sensitive as her breaths got quicker and her moans became unfiltered. You brought your tongue up to circle her clit, sucking on the sensitive bud right after. One of her hands tangled itself into your hair, pulling you closer to where she needed you, while the other fisted the sheets beneath her, her back arching at the intense waves of pleasure you were giving her.
"More, I- F-Fuck! Please-" You brought a finger to her entrance, easily pushing into her soaked cunt. After giving her time to adjust, you added another, feeling her thighs squirm on either side of your head and threatening to close around it as she clenched around your fingers, pulling a moan from you. "You're doing so good for me.."
You started moving them at a nice speed as her hips bucked for more friction. The moans you were pulling from her were sinful, and lustful pride filled your chest knowing you were able to have her come undone so deliciously.
You increased your ministrations, curling your fingers in such a way that had her seeing stars as her moans got louder. You could tell she was close as her grip increased and her core tightened. You curled your fingers and sucked on her sensitive bud at the same time, pulling a loud cry from the woman before she shuddered beneath you, her juices flowing out and you took everything she gave you as you helped her ride out her high.
You kissed back up her body, your hands smoothing over her skin as you moved. She pulled you by your shoulders and crashed her lips against you, swiping her tongue along your bottom lip. She moaned at the taste of herself on your lips and against your tongue.
You broke away after a moment, taking in her flushed form, seeing lust still swirling in her eyes. She'd be the death of you as she'd already become an addiction you wouldn't dare get rid of.
"Do you think you could do one more for me, darling?" You whispered against her lips, and she pulled you closer to her. She licked her lips softly as she stared at yours with half lidded eyes.
"Yes, please.. I want more.. I wanna cum for you again, please.." The desperation and want in her tone had made your eyes flutter shut as your eyes rolled back. You were sure her pleas alone would be able to get you off, but you didn't want to be finished with her just yet.
You took a box from your bedside table and opened it, revealing a strap on that would make you feel everything as well, and it was something she seemed to notice as her eyes widened, only to fill with need. It was something that you had saved for this moment, and your mouth watered at the idea of slipping into her.
"You are so easily addicting.." You said after you finished putting it on. She bit her bottom lip and you couldn't help but stare. You really couldn't understand how someone could be this beautiful, but a smile rose to your lips as you took in just how much of a mess you'd made her so far.
"It's going to sting a bit, love.. When you're ready, tell me when to move, hmm?"
After receiving a needy 'yes' from her lips, you ran it along her slit, before slowly pushing into her. Your body shuddered, and a low moan left your chest at the feeling of filling her up. Her nails dug into your back and shoulders at the stretch, whines being pulled from the woman before she took you completely. She gave you the sign to move, and you started off at a slow pace, helping her get used to it.
Moans and whimpers started to leave her lips again as her head fell back in pleasure. You left kisses along her skin as you moved, your own moans ghosting along its canvas. "So good for me, Rissa.. You're taking me so well, my good girl.."
Her moans left her at every thrust, her walls fluttering around the strap, nearly making you topple over in the pleasure you got from not only being inside her and feeling it but also the sight of her beneath you as her rushed, needy pleas flowed out of her lips.
"Please, please, y/n- oh! F-Fuck, I-I'm close, please! Fuc-Fuck!" Her moans grew higher in pitch as your thrusts quickened, her nails digging into your skin as you were sure there would be marks left there for a while, not that you were complaining. You felt your own high starting to build, her walls fluttering around you, making the chase for it absolutely divine.
"Cum for me, Riss.." With your voice raspy and low, it was as though your voice alone was what was able to send her over the edge, her back arching and her eyes squeezing shut as you followed right behind her, each others names leaving your lips as you both came.
With heavy breaths, you helped her ride out her high before pulling out of her slowly, still causing a whimper to leave her throat at the empty feeling. You took the strap off and threw it to the side to be an issue for later, before taking a rag out of the same drawer it came form to clean up your love as she laid back in her blissed-out state.
You moved to lay beside her, pulling a blanket over the two of you before capturing her in your arms. She dove into your embrace, your warmth and safety something she sought out as she came back to reality. You pressed kisses along her hairline as you traced your fingertips along her back. "You did so well for me, so so good for me, Larissa.. How are you feeling, my love?"
She pressed a kiss against your neck before moving her head to face you. She smiled as she met your gaze, seeing nothing but love in your eyes. You cupped her cheek, softly moving your thumb against it before planting a kiss to her forehead. "That was amazing.."
You couldn't help but laugh as the words left her. You took her in after all that just happened between you two, and it was crazy how you thought you still fell for her more than you already had.
The rain raced down the glass of your windows as it kept falling from the clouds above, but the fire that was once dancing along the logs of the fireplace was a dormant ember, casting red etches along the wood it sat on. You relaxed into each others embrace, settling there for the rest of the night as exhaustion held you both in its increasing grip, the comfort and safety you had for each other making it an easy choice as you fell asleep under the thick covers together, knowing you wouldn't be leaving each others side.

𝐚/𝐧: THIS WAS SO FUCKING FUN TO WRITE HELLO??
We can tell by the word count but HOOLLLLLYYY This is where I want to be when it comes to writing stuff like this. It was so fulfilling seeing not only the word count but also the amount of detail I was able to put into it this time.
Anon, thank you SO much for the ask. I don't think we have a lot of sub!Larissa out there, so being someone to add to the fuel is fun even if I get both sides of writing for her.
I have some other asks but since the weekend is right here that means series time !! if all goes well, the next chapter will be out by the end of the weekend hehehhe. I'm excited for it lol
if you want to be added to my taglist for all my works you can DM me or comment on the post. Look at this post to see if you might have issues being tagged
I hope I wrote this to justice, anon ;)

Lately Ive seen some awful things about antis and haters making threats and getting artists banned from Tumblr and X. Im new to the Phandom and love pompep but Im scared i'll be targeted if I write and share pompep fics. How do you manage sharing your work so bravely?
Firstly, welcome to the Phandom—and especially Pompous Pep! I have a simple protocol for enjoying a drama-free Tumblr experience:
Tumblr media
Preventative Action
1. Find your community. Follow other Pompep fans and supporters and reblog their things. Don't be afraid to leave nice tags; we love and welcome interactions :) You can also join the Pompep Discord server if you enjoy chatting (DM me for details).
2. Turn off anon asks. This will solve 99% of all potential problems, and you can turn it back on whenever you want. Antis are cowards who prefer to hide behind the mask of anonymity. They seldom have the courage to say something with their whole username.
3. Block the obvious haters. This is a big fandom, and at some point you're likely to come across people openly hating on pompep, either on their bio, pinned posts, or comments. Block them. For an added layer of protection, add their username to your Filtering Options.
4. Tag your work appropriately. When posting, make sure your work is tagged correctly (the #pompous pep tag is especially important) so people who like pompep can find it and those who want to avoid it can block the tag. Use Content Labels when applicable.
5. Try to avoid using the platonic tag (#badger cereal) and the romantic tag (#pompous pep) at the same time. Some fans are really touchy about this. I'm not, and I think there are legitimate cases where use of both is applicable, but if you want to minimize friction, just stick with one tag or the other.
If you're not sure which tag to use, ask yourself what your intentions are with your art or fic. Is the goal a romantic relationship? If so, use the pompep tag. If it's truly ambiguous and could be seen either way, use the platonic tag first. You can always add another tag like "okay to tag as pompep", just to let people know they can interpret it however they please.
Responsive Action
If the above guidelines aren't 100% effective, here's what you do:
1. Don't feed the trolls. If you receive any negative asks in your inbox, it's important to NOT engage with them. Delete them, ignore them, don't let them get to you. Antis thrive on attention, so let them starve. Eventually they'll move on when they realize they're not going to get a rise out of you.
The same goes for any negative comment left on your work. Just delete it, block the person who left it, and pretend it never happened.
These asks and comments may come in the form of questions. Example: "How can you ship Danny with Vlad? That's [insert gross accusation here]" Resist the urge to answer these questions. They are not made in good faith. This person just wants to start an argument.
2. Report any harassment. If by some chance you receive a seriously hateful ask, like threats of violence or abuse, take a screenshot for proof/safekeeping, then report the message and the user if they're not anonymous. If the ask is anonymous, use the meatball menu (•••) at the top right to report the message and block the anon.
Tumblr media
Final Words
It takes time to develop a thick skin and Don't Give A Fuck attitude, but it can be done. You are a phan. You have every right to be here and enjoy this fandom in peace, just like everyone else. Anyone who believes in harassing others over silly things like which cartoon characters should be allowed to kiss clearly has nothing better to do with their life. The sooner you shut them out, the happier you'll be.
Regarding media: Artists attract a lot more negative attention than writers for reasons I won't get into right now, but if you're mainly a writer, you will enjoy a much quieter fandom experience. Wherever you post your stories—I recommend AO3; DM me if you need an invite—follow the same advice there as I've given here: make sure your work is tagged correctly; support your fellow Pompep fans by reading and commenting on their works, building that community; moderate comments if you're concerned about negativity; block and mute users if they give you any trouble, and you'll enjoy a much more positive fandom experience.
There is strength in community. When you start making new fandom friends, you'll feel a lot less lonely, and that will give you the confidence you need to really have a good time here.
Wishing you the best, anon!

I'm not sure if this is happening to anyone else, but I think we've all been experiencing the decline in comments on ao3. Recently, though, I've received some negative comments.
Just like my fellow authors, I am always thrilled to receive a comment on one of my stories. It's literally the best feeling in the world.
However, that best feeling can quickly turn into the worst if the comment is mean or rude.
I just want to remind you of a few things. First, fanfic writers write for free. We write and share our stories simply for the joy of it. It's not the same thing as traditional or self-published authors who are making a profit with their books. We don't want reviews, and no author wants to hear that you didn't like their story.
Second, you have no idea what's going on in someone's real life. I've been having a really hard time lately, and the last thing I needed was bad comments.
Fanfiction is for love, not hate.
If you don't like something, don't read it. And definitely, don't leave a mean or rude comment!

breakdown of clovis's pjosceu fic
okay i'm back for another post in this little series! today we're going over clovis's pjosceu fic and its themes and meaning. check out the previous one on connor's fic if you haven't already.
this is what i had set up for clovis's fic:
trauma response: self-neglect premise: "being willing to sacrifice all of yourself to find yourself and your supposed purpose." themes: abandonment, unimportance, tiredness, purpose, responsibility
clovis's fic mainly revolves around one main thing: him wanting to be someone of purpose. this is expressed through him trying to find his parentage and through his powers. he tries very hard to find out who his father is and to understand what the "point" of him being a demigod is. later in the fic, clovis yearns to be seen and accepted as someone of repute, and therefore sacrifices a lot of his own health in order to do this for people, following this mindset of "i need to do something/provide something for others in order to be of use". he has a very... capitalistic (for lack of better word) viewpoint on life, i guess. this is also kind of a reflexive response towards the neglect minor gods receive in camp half-blood; clovis attempts to "prove himself" because he doesn't want to be "useless".
i took a somewhat (i think?) unique perspective on clovis's constant sleeping for this fic. i portray it as a symptom of deprivation due to him not being able to control his powers, and later, not controlling them properly. his constant dozing, in the context of my fic, is because he is genuinely not asleep when he's "asleep": he's awake in the dream world. this is a pretty obvious metaphor of his self-neglect: the more he stays awake (as he does it to help people), the more tired he gets—the more he tries to prove himself, the more he hurts himself. this is supposed to show that... you're not supposed to be killing yourself over achieving goals or helping others, which clovis does understand eventually get over by starting to fix his sleep schedule!!
there's also a point in the story where hypnos points out that all of clovis's lack of sleep is due to his own hand. clovis initially tries to blame it on his powers, but really it's the misuse of powers that causes his pain: he doesn't take responsibility for the negatives that affect him and he is only able to get better when he does.
detracting from clovis's personal character arc, we also have a little side story with ethan nakamura and, as my sister calls it, "the angsty gay situationship they have going on". ethan is introduced as kind of a foil to clovis: they both sacrifice a lot of themselves in order to support a "bigger cause". but while clovis reels this in before having a doomed fate, ethan doesn't (like in canon).
i think i mainly put this in to show that, despite being a reflex or response of trauma and their environment, a lot of what occurs to campers is of their own choice. a lot of the pjosceu is about free will: just like connor has no control over other people leaving him in his fic, clovis has entire control over the pains that befall him (at least the ones i serve in the story).
anyway there's my incoherent ramble of the day, i hope it provided some insight to readers. if you haven't read my pjosceu series on ao3, be sure to, because i give all the love (and angst) to everyone's favorite side characters.

I’m curious about your reading experiences with CaPri, you seem as someone who understands the text so well! Could you share some of your experiences with the text? (When you first read it, how many times you’ve re-read it, do you annotate your copies, do you binge-read the trilogy in a week with each reread [like I do], do you have chapters you revisit a lot, etc.)
Hey, so I'm just going through a little backlog of asks!
I feel this is just a niche conversation between you and I tbh, but I'll answer haha. Feel free to directly message me in the future, I'm so open to conversations about the book.
Thank you for saying you think I understand the text so well! That's really kind.
I first got the books on my kindle on the 17th Feb and just binge read them all the way through. I got really fixated on them instantly and.... read them all the way through again, literally straight after. There was something about the way Pacat writes that really hit the spot for me.
I'll be honest though, I tried the book before ages ago (maybe 5 or 6 years ago?) and I was immediately turned off.
What changed? I think because I got into (a different) fandom and started reading fan fiction. Before then I was a huge bookworm, and read everything- though I did lean very much towards literary fiction, the older I got. My many open tabs on AO3 slowly changed my parameters around what fics should look like, the moral framework of them, the spice factor if you will, and so on. Coming from the lawless land of fanfiction where all is allowed and nothing really censored, meant I could come to the text with much more of an open mind.
When I read the trilogy my brain just lit up immediately- the intensity of events, the depth of emotions, the wit and humour, the political machinations and military warfare, the love story...it all combined to make magic amongst my neurons.
My first meta was about a month later, as my brain was 24/7 CaPri brain rot, and I read it another time all the way through, still on kindle.
Then I got The Summer Palace and finally bought all the books in paperback as well. And re-read the books in paperback! So since February I've read them four times. This is when I started to slow down haha.
I don't use tabs or make notes. I tended to just binge read, but do have a job so that meant pausing while at work. I don't necessarily go back and re-visit chapters unless I want to write a meta.
I think re-reading the text is enormously helpful, as reading it the first time is like a sensorial rush of emotion, and the second or third time you can really pay attention to structure and language and character development. Pacat leaves much unsaid and to be deciphered, a 'negative space' as she's called it in interviews, where we have to see what it not being said or what we aren't being directly told and figure things out.
Fandom is an interesting place, and as someone who approaches metas on the text as sort of experiment in literary analysis, I do find it interesting the way people's opinions on the text seem so disparate or different from mine. There are some very strong-minded people on tumblr, and I've seen different camps of people re-read things according to their biases, in different ways. I would perhaps call some of them (not all, but some...) misreadings, also. And regardless, they tend to try and strong-arm you into agreeing with them! I mean, I'm sure I exhibit biases too, but I hope that the least I do is pay attention, try to think things through carefully and come with evidence! And respect true differences of opinion. All I can say is looping back to the source material is important, but ultimately reading and decoding a text can be very personal.
As a final note, I would also say, I came to the books after years and years of intense reading across lots of different genres, and if anyone wanted to get into writing meta for specific texts, reading and thinking widely is an important foundation for that imo.
Hope that answered your question!

do you have any advice for someone who is preparing to post their first explicit work and is nervous about negative responses? it seems like there's always someone out there who gets offended by porn and I've seen people get dogpiled over the smallest things. The Sirius I wrote is on the femme side of things and lately it seems like there's been a lot of backlash against that. How do you get over it and just write/post what you want? Teach me to be unbothered 🙏
You wanna know my secret, dear anon? I'm not unbothered! It's totally okay to be anxious, because yeah, there are shitty people out there, and trolls, and prudes who just get offended every time someone gets their dick out. That's the reality of fandom, and the purity police seem to have a particularly strong voice right now. You and I, we can't control that. We can't stop those people from thinking the way they do.
What we can do is insulate ourselves. I don't allow guest comments on my fics, because the vast majority of people who would leave a shitty, harassing comment on a story are either not AO3 members at all, or are unwilling to risk having their own account banned, so they do it anonymously. Do you miss out on some nice, normal comments that way? Sure, that's the trade-off. There's also an option to moderate your comments, which means you will see them but they won't be visible to the public until you give your approval. That doesn't really solve the issue of that awful swooping feeling in your gut when you first read a negative comment on the fic you worked so hard on, though, so to me, that's an imperfect solution. You'll learn as you go, what works for you.
I've done fandom drama, and it took me a long time to realise that I was happier when I stayed away from it at all costs, even when the cost is giving up a certain level of participation. I don't have a huge, wide-reaching fandom social circle anymore, and I have a lot of fond memories of when I did, but my mental health is better for having given it up.
You don't owe anyone anything. Fandom is a HOBBY. We do this for free, and we do it for fun. If some aspect of it is interfering with your ability to enjoy your hobby, then you are allowed to take steps to eliminate it from your view. You don't have to allow anonymous commenting, you can mute people you disagree with, you can ignore fics that aren't written the way you like them. The only way to do it wrong is to try to ruin someone else's good time. Curate your fandom experience, babe. Take care of you. Life is stressful, your hobbies shouldn't be.
And please post your fic, and do it proudly. Porn makes the world a happier place. (That's what I tell myself, anyway...)

A long time ago I stopped reading and reviewing your work because you started making these kind of comment posts. I want to keysmash and share my excitement at your work but it began to feel like walking on eggshells so I stopped. You are not just about leaving nasty comments, you explicitly censor anything negatively toned even if it's not about your story. Like if I say in passing I don't like Otto in general you take that as an attack on your story.
Your whole attitude in general is very defensive on here. If people don't somehow align with your personal ethos, you respond aggressively, no matter what it is or if it's not aimed at you. You're extremely critical too and overreact. Your friends are very similar to you. When they express opinions, it becomes just an exercise in gatekeeping or dictating to the fandom. Your post there is a perfect example of telling people what to do because anything else doesn't suit you. Maybe you don't want criticism etc but I welcome feedback of all kinds and review it accordingly. I've learned a lot from critical comments. I know it's not for everyone but that's the point, everyone is different. You want everyone to be like you and follow your rules. You're a tin hat dictator.
This was written because people were going into a fellow author's comments and all they were doing was tearing down the character journeys. That's not constructive criticism, that's just being shitty.
I'm sorry that you feel like you have to walk on eggshells around me, I welcome keysmashing and excitement, but genuinely, I'm not here to read unsolicited criticism (which IS different from feedback) about something I'm doing in my free time. And that's okay. And it's okay if you're explicitly welcoming concrit. But my concrit is curated through my beta readers. If I wanted constructive crit, I would explicitly ask for that.
When it comes to crit, at the end of the day, I don't know you (general you). You don't know me! and we don't have the trust of that kind of talk, and only my beta circle knows the kind of story that I'm trying to tell.
Like I said, it's totally fine if you are someone who is looking for/welcoming that. All my post was saying, as I said up top: this post was in direct response to people being assholes with nothing constructive and hurting people who have worked hard on their stories. It upset me, and I'm allowed to be upset, because it's like people don't understand there's someone on the other side of the screen.
When you leave a comment about wanting x character to die and you hate them and complain about choices the author is making, consistently, across chapters, I feel like we should all agree that that's shitty behavior. It's being mean for the sake of being loud. It's going into someone's inbox and telling them all this effort you put in is all for nothing because I personally don't like it.
And honestly, I've been in this space long enough where I'm just tired of it. This is supposed to be a fun hobby for people: it's why I always say 'if you don't know what kind of comment to leave, just say thanks! or leave a heart emoji'. And yeah, I get upset in my friend's comments because I'm on the other side listening to her cry because every single comment she's getting is wanting characters to die or complaining about plot points. THAT is what this is about. And I think anyone would feel that for a friend who has been working so hard on something that they're excited and passionate about.
Because when someone leaves a comment talking about what they hate/dislike about the story and that's it, with nothing about 'hey I really like this character portrayal or plot', that sucks. That's demotivating. And I'm seeing it happen across the board and driving writers away. This is why people stop writing.
Fic authors, we aren't publishing books. This isn't up for review USA Today. It's on tumblr, or wattpad, or AO3.
There is 100% a difference between well thought out feedback, and just being inconsiderate and unkind in someone's comments and going shocked pikachu when an author says 'I'm sorry you don't like it, but don't do that'. That's all I'm saying.
I'm not defensive about myself, I'm upset and angry on behalf of what I see happening to my friends, and what I see across fandoms as a whole. I'm glad you've found commenters helpful, but I think we're talking about different types of comments.

After finding out about the people taking stories from AO3 and selling them on Etsy (binded and everything), I just simply don't go over there.
- also, the super rude readers have been going crazy on there and Tumblr recently. I usually see it every couple of months, but geez
I really don't understand the negativity! half of us are writing FOR FREE for entertaining! and the other half is reading for entertainment, I know it might be frustrating to invest time in a fic that it doesn't end up being what you expected, but that isn't a reason to leave nasty comments like that!
Us fanfiction writers are not Stephen King, dropping novels left and right, and the haters are not pullitzer critic, so why?
Yes I know the feeling, I'm too lazy to sometimes leave even a good comment, but if I didn't like a fic I just stop reading it!
Gods
Anyways, let us be the change we want to see in the fanfiction community!
AO3 was never my favorite platform (maybe because the "looks"), but is the bed of many AMAZING fics, so I do have some respect for it! yes fanThiefs are NOT ok!

For the writing meme: 📡☯️💝
📡Why is sharing your writing important for fandom?
Thus far, I've only ever been interested in writing for small fandoms and posting for small fandoms. I've never written for anything big, so I don't know if I'll ever understand the huge impact that BNFs have on communities (though that sounds a little intimidating). For smaller fandoms, I feel readers tend to appreciate your work more, as it's less common to get stories from authors. A big reason why I can find it hard to write for bigger fandoms is that a lot of the ideas have already been taken (though this isn't quite true, there's always a story that someone hasn't written).
In little fandoms, you'll almost always be the first author to take a huge leap, and there's the idea that you might leave a bigger impact. I also think it's important to support smaller authors and less popular stories in general, especially if they resonate with you. I've met authors who are the only writers for their fandom, who are the ones who started their tag and carry dead/dying fandoms on their backs. It also inspires us to write more, and it inspires other people to take that leap and write their first story for the fandom.
☯️How do you think engaging with each other through tumblr, twitter, comments, kudos, creates healthy fandom experiences? How do you deal with that if you're not a social person/experiences social anxiety?
This one will tie into the answer to the previous question. I think that fandom survives with engagement. There are some authors that really do need that engagement and others who do everything for themselves. While I do think that you can get to a point where needing engagement is super unhealthy, I feel that both of these mindsets are completely valid. When you work so hard that you pour your heart and soul into something, you do want to gain something in return. Obviously, we don't do it for money, and most of us don't do it for fame either. We do it because we want our work to resonate with someone, to inspire them.
I've been in fic communities where people write for insanely small communities. And more often than not, the lack of engagement can truly get to people. It can cause people to give up on stories to make writers feel like they aren't appreciated. So honestly, anything to show us you care can help. Even a kudos can make someone's month, and a comment can be treasured forever. I'm really grateful for everyone who commented and kudosed and read my fics, because hey, they really didn't have to do that, but I did think that kept me going for as long as I did.
I do get a lot of anxiety interacting with strangers on the Internet. Responding to comments on Ao3 and on Tumblr can be a bit anxiety-inducing. Sometimes, I feel kinda guilty when I get comments on my work telling me that they thought it was good, which is really weird, isn't it? I think I need to get better at taking all types of feedback, negative and positive, and getting used to people interacting with my work. One thing I've loved about becoming an author is that I used to be too shy to comment. Now, I realize how important it is to get engagement, and I do it more often.
💝What is a fic that got a different response than you were expecting?
I think that the answer to that is the first fic I ever published and the first fic I wrote for the Futurama fandom, which is Escalating. I'm not really sure what I expected to happen with that fic. I really didn't think it would get any engagement in such a little fandom, but it garnered way more attention. Now, it's one of the top Futurama fics on Ao3 in terms of stats, which is kinda wild to think about. It even surpassed some of the fics that inspired it in the first place.
I've debated as to why this ended up being the case at all, and I think it has a lot to do with a number of factors. For one, it was luck. I started posting in the summer, and I finished the fic very quickly because I had a lot of free time. It was the first fic for the pairing that I wrote that got over 50,000 words and got completed. On top of that, no one else was really writing for that pairing at the time, so that also helped. I don't think it would've been as well-liked if the circumstances were different.
One thing I'm worried about is that I don't want my most popular fic to be the first fic I wrote. No writer wants to peak early like that, we want to get more recognition as we improve. But I also have my eyes set on writing for even less popular fandoms now, so we'll see if that happens. Maybe one day I'll write something that will surpass it in stats. But it's important to remember that stats are never a guarantee that a fic is better written than something else.

I don't know how you do it, Dude, I'm afraid to say that I'm attracted to pompous pep since I know it's wrong to ship a minor and an adult, People are cruel to death, Nobody knows what I like, I hide among the anonymous messages of the internet, Sometimes I see people like you who have their account free mind, People talk very badly about accounts like you, even putting them in places in the fandom to talk badly about them, Fear runs through me, I want to draw pompous Pep, Maybe I'm not attracted to the sexual, But I really feel like it's wrong and it hurts me
You've been at this for a while, right? Your account is full of pompous Pep (I secretly love your account), How did you manage to have the courage to show yourself?, People look at you badly, say bad things, that you are a sick pedophile and that...How do you achieve this without fear???, are you so brave or god 😭
1️⃣ I'm from old school fandom—pre-Twitter, pre-AO3, pre-Internet-as-we-now-know-it. I've learned to not give a fuck about what stupid, ignorant, uninformed people say on the Internet.
2️⃣ It's not my job to educate or "convert" people who disagree with me. I'm not a missionary. I'm here to have fun, and no one is going to spoil that for me.
3️⃣ I—and you, and anyone else reading this—don't owe anyone on the Internet an explanation, a reason, or any kind of justification for writing stories or drawing pictures of fictional cartoon characters smooching. (It's all so silly, honestly. I have real things to care about, like bills and pets and laundry. I envy people who have nothing to stress about except ink and paint from a 20-year-old Nickelodeon show.)
4️⃣ The media—specifically, the fictional entertainment—we enjoy is not a reflection of our humanity, morality, or an indication of our personal beliefs. If that were true, the police would be arresting authors like Stephen King and George RR Martin for writing about underage sex and incest and gore, as well as anyone who enjoys their works.
You know who does believe that reading something will "pervert" you, or that enjoying "dark things" like murder and violence and age gap ships means you must secretly be committing those things in real life? Fascists. Conservatives. Right-wing nationalist fundamentalist Christian types. People who want to ban queer books from libraries and call anyone who disagrees with them "pedophiles" and "groomers". Remember that the next time you see one of these fandom cops screeching about how so-and-so is a "pedo" because they ship two cartoons. These are people on the wrong side of history. They're anti-intellectual, anti-education, and pro-censorship. Get away from them as fast as you can.
Anon, if it seems like a lot of your friends (or the people you're around) are hating on something you want to enjoy and making you feel unsafe to talk about the things you like, then you need to find better friends. Leave them. Block them. Add their usernames to your content filters so you never have to see their ugly, hateful opinions ever again. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life, especially here on Tumblr, where we're all trying to find things that make us happy and celebrate others' creative works. Life's too short to hang around shitty people 💩

Ok I loved you’re story on ao3 and I just want to ask what are some other kinds of punishments that Belos gives to the reader when they desire to be a little brat
Obviously there’s spanking but does he have anything else he likes to do in particular
MDNI - MINORS DO NOT INTERACT.
Hi, Anon!! Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!!
So, yes, spanking is always in the wheelhouse of punishments, as is over-stimulation, and I've touched a little on how he likes to tie you in a way where you could possibly free yourself, put a vibrator in you, and just leave you on the floor, preferably pissed as all hell and struggling helplessly, crying in frustration, while he sits comfortably and touches himself, playing with the controls, in another post.
Some other thing he'll do, depending on his mood, and how much of a fucking brat you're being, in a non-exhaustive list, as he's always going to find a way to pull some bullshit:
He'll bind your arms behind your back, put you on a Fantasy Sybian, lash you to it with magic, and then make you open your mouth, tongue out just far enough to cradle the head of his cock, as he jerks himself off, steadily dripping precome that leaks past your lips and mixes with the drool that you're getting all over your tits, while you try your best not to suck him or close your mouth. Or else he'll turn the sybian all the way up. Good luck!
Much of your bratting relies on him being unable to do jack shit, because he's a busy, busy boy, so he likes to surprise you, sometimes, by snatching you and fucking you when you're expecting to be able to walk away from him, scot-free. He'll use you in a place where someone might (keyword: MIGHT. He's too tuned into the castle to actually get caught) catch the two of you, whether that's pressing your cheek into the wall, hitching your skirt to your waist, and fucking you from behind, or putting you on your knees to use your mouth, and then leaving you wanting, walking away right after he makes you swallow, if you really made him mad.
One of his meanest tricks is the simplest. He'll spank you, get you right on the edge of orgasm, and then stick you in the corner, facing the wall. Bonus points for coming inside you first while you're still mostly clothed, and then cornering you with your tits out of your bra, your skirt yanked over your ass, and your panties around your ankles, leaking his spend all over your sticky thighs.
Sometimes the worst punishment is getting exactly what you want - attention. He'll quietly lock the door behind you when you come in, patiently wait out your poking, and then demand that you strip. Yes, you heard him. Strip. This is about the time that he laughs when you try the knob. Just spearing you with his silent, level gaze until you give in - occasionally, you'll test him, laying on the floor for ages in a bid to get him to cave, but he never does, and he never looks away - and then he tells you to touch yourself. Until you come. He'll wait. After all, isn't this what you wanted? Go on, darling. It wouldn't be so bad if he touched himself, or said anything other than, "Again," after you make yourself orgasm. But he just stares. Nearly unblinking, with that little smirk, never putting his hands on himself (or you, for that matter), not even to adjust the visible line of his erect cock in his trousers. 50/50 as to whether or not he'll fuck you to over-stimulate you, because he knows you're sensitive after coming, or if he'll tell you that, "That's enough." To get your clothes, and let him finish whatever it was he was doing. Both are bad.
The point of a punishment is to stop negative behavior. Sometimes the quickest way to do that, especially if you're bratting because you're grumpy, or feeling neglected, is to smother you with affection. Literally. Belos will just pick you up, pin you wherever's convenient, and kiss you. He always starts with chaste kisses, gently pecking your lips, chin, and cheeks until you stop biting, and go sullenly still underneath him, then he'll start lingering on your mouth, always so sweet, as you slowly slip into subspace, relaxing against him. Then, he'll kiss you deeper and deeper, not giving you a single inch - your wrists are kept above your head, and he keeps the rest of you in place with the weight of his body - and you'll eventually want to kiss him back, to rock against him, to be touched, but he doesn't stop, no matter how you moan - you can't beg, because he never gives you the space to speak. Eventually, he works his way up to fucking your mouth with his long tongue, insistent and gentle and uncompromising as he makes you deep throat it, cutting off your breathing in a rhythm that leaves you dizzy and unable to fight him for lack of breath. This can go on for quite some time. He never touches you, or lets you come, no matter how hard it gets him to break you with nothing but his mouth on yours, until he's certain that you're going to be good and still.

Hi Molly! Just want to let you know how grateful I am for you and your work. I’ve become an avid tumblr user because I can’t get enough of your commentary and little snippets. I’m so grateful for all the work you put into this fandom and everything you do is incredible. If you feel it’s time for you to retire, this whole fandom will support you, but know that you are amazing and we appreciate all the hard work you put in❤️❤️❤️

Molly, I hope you don’t stop writing. I can’t imagine how difficult it is to be criticized for something you’re putting out there with love and enthusiasm and for free. But I hope the enjoyment you give to so many of us balances out the negativity at least a little. To me, your stories have been the balm to the show’s shitty handling of Kanthony and I can’t get enough of them. But if you do decide to step away, I understand and will always be grateful for the beautiful fics you’ve given us.

Bestie! Please don't ever retire 😭😭😭 I would miss you too much ❤️❤️❤️

The more your stories are great and the more you become popular, the more trolls will attack you out of jealousy. Take their complaints as a compliment.

Hi Molly. So sorry to hear that you have been getting negative comments that made you maybe doubt how good your writing is.
Please know that there are people who love your stories. Your critics might have some valid points and it's also fine if they provide constructive criticism. However, despite all the flaws, your stories are amazing. I love your writing and fics, I will be honest I am not a fan of all of them but there are many that I adore. Some people might love the storieae I don't and vice versa. And that's okay, not every fic is for everyone. We can choose to read what we like and leave the others alone.
It's true that the fandom has amazing writers and we are blessed that they also love to write about our fav characters. But it's not a competition, all of you can continue to write and all of these writers, including you, bring something unique to the fandom. And there is space for everyone here.
So I am not sure if my rambling made any sense, but what I am trying to say is please do not stop writing just because some people do not like your stories. Heck, I say keep writing if it makes even one person happy, if it makes you happy.
Impatiently waiting for thenext update.
Love💗💗💗💗
P.S. Could you please give extra treatos to Greggy for just being adorable...

Molly, you were kidding about retiring. Right? Right?? *starts sweating*
Okay, I'm just gonna answer these all at once and tie a bow around it so it's done.
I'm not planning on stopping at this point, No, but it is something that's crossing my mind more and more frequently.
I think the thing is, and what all Fic writer's feel is: There's a difference between constructive criticism and messages that say Hi I Don't like this. Just as there's a difference between Movies that are bad and Movies I am not interested in. I cannot abide Fast and Furious movies but I'm not telling people that like them that they're trash. There's a difference.
Not every AU I write is going to be for every person. This is an objective fact. And you're under no obligation to enjoy anything I write: What isn't necessary is commenting on it.
Fic Writers put a lot of time and energy into creating content that is free and accessible and with that comes a certain expectation that it's going to be of a slightly lower quality than a published work, because it's an amateur production. This is like expecting a hard hitting article on late stage capitalism from the Barbie magazine. It's not the space for it.
That's not to say there are not some amazing writers and writers that do write professionally posting on Ao3, of course there are. But expecting that from me, who has a Bachelor of Dental Surgery is... amazing writing just isn't going to come from me! I am a Barbie Magazine journalist. We must accept it.
Anyway, all this to say: Criticism can be constructive. Rudeness is not.

Welcome to your official introduction into the AU/Rewrite of DP known as “Gravewalking.”
This au will be tagged with #gravewalking au
(fun fact I didn’t know that was an actual word until like 2 minutes ago I made it up like 3 months ago as a play on Grimwalkers from TOH)
A little summary of what you’re getting into, at least with season 1 winky face (this is the summary i wrote for when i eventually post this on ao3 or smth): After an accident that leaves Danny with ghostly abilities (because no, there’s no way he’s dead), said creatures seem to be coming out of the woodwork, sometimes quite literally. The 15 year old High School Freshman takes it upon himself to keep the town safe since his accident is the reason they’re getting through. Oh, and he keeps breaking the lights. That’s probably not important.
OR; A rewrite of Danny Phantom as a fruity No One Knows AU and I’m changing his powers to electricity based. Homie was electrocuted it makes more sense imo
Basic info you might want:
The AU itself: This is a no one knows au!!!! Sam and Tucker do not know. While they heard about the accident, in classic nok aus fashion, Danny is refusing to give them details and is pushing them away. In a classic Finch fashion, I made the death of a ghost correspond to their abilities. As such, Danny has electricity-based powers.
Genre: Superhero, obv, thats what DP is, a little comedy, but mostly HORROR ELEMENTS!!! I love horror. Psychological? Probably. Body? Definitely.
The ghosts: While some ghosts will not make an appearance (most likely at least. Look man i'm still working on it), your favs are going to be completely revamped! Every ghost that will show up I hope to flesh out well :) except maybe one-time villains/cameos. I have created a whole system of ghost typing ranging from Will-o-the-wisps and Shades to Liminals (who are often called, ahem, Gravewalkers) and Lords/Ancients. Each ghost typing has their own abilities and whatnot (think like the ghosts in Phasmophobia). And since some of my typings would BUTCHER a few characters including Danny, ghost types can overlap :D For example, in this au Danny is a liminal banshee, and by the end of the series he’ll be a liminal banshee and [REDACTED]! This mostly applies to higher level ghosts since those are more titular than anything, but it will also apply to a few of the main cast of full ghosts.
The characters: The characters you know and love are back, but a few with a bit more substance. Team Phantom is overall pretty similar, just adjusted to fit headcanons I’ve inserted into the au. Vlad is not an incel anymore and now is taking Daddy Issues to the extreme! This definitely won’t have any negative consequences for Phantom. Oh, hes also like, 5x more manipulative. Danielle is back and BETTER. While I quite liked her in canon, now she makes more sense. Instead of going by “Dani,” she decided to be less confusing and pick a cooler name (her words) and goes by “Elle!” Pronounced like the letter L shes built different (its not because I keep reading “Ellie” wrong or anything). She is also physically the same age as Danny. She also has a dual ghost type, but you can wait for that I’ll do like a proper character intro or smth.
Season 1 (the only season i’m giving you a peak of rn): Season 1 is mostly a learning period for Danny. Unlike canon where the origin story is left to the intro until a retcon in season 2, the Accident is told through flashbacks, Daredevil style. Overall, this season will be the slowest, as it’s more for building the world, establishing characters and motives, and other stuff to make the next seasons flow as well as possible. Think like the Owl House where season 1 has more filler that progressively gets fewer and further between as it continues. This season ends with what very well might be a rewrite of one of everyone’s favourite episodes from canon. You can speculate what one that is.
Hope this sounds interesting. None of it is set in stone atm and if you have any questions about it feel free to ask!!!
