Could you write something about what happened in the aftermath of the Flash episode? Like the team coming back and hearing about what happened, and maybe Nia talking to the first Dreamer. Thank you!
Okay so this is more just Nia telling Brainy, but I hope you enjoy. 😉
After a quick pit-stop at Central City’s Jitters – as recommended by one Iris West-Allen - the journey home passed Nia in nothing more than a caffeine-induced blur.
She hadn’t exactly planned on indulging in quite as much coffee to start with, but what she’d seen of Iris’s dream had piqued her curiosity. She could say one thing for certain: things ran far smoother in the real world’s Jitters, one where Barry Allen was safe and sound behind a hero’s mask and not a barista counter.
Nia wasn’t sure what time she got back to the apartment that night, but that wasn’t important to her. Besides, sleep was definitely not an option right now. She’d been practically buzzing since her last espresso shot and, while the come down would not be pretty, it was more than worth it to be awake for when Brainy got home.
The second she heard the tell-tale click in the lock, she was already on her feet and had Brainy pulled into a hug long before he could get a step through the front door. She melted into the crook of his throat the moment she was in his arms, breathing him in. He still smelled like the nano fibres that made up his super suit, which probably meant he’d disengaged it just seconds before touching down. They must have only arrived back on Earth in the last hour.
Brainy’s hands were quick to wind around Nia’s back, linking together at the base of her spine. She grinned into his shoulder before tipping her chin up to greet him. “Hey.”
“Nia.” Brainy spoke her name in one long exhale, the warmth of his breath prickling pleasantly across her cheek. Through it, she could hear that mark of relief that always accompanied her name whenever they’d been apart for too long, a habit neither one of them had been willing to break ever since Brainy’s recall to the future.
There was something different in his tone this time, though, something extra. A shift of unease that could only really mean one thing.
Crap. He knew.
Nia pulled away from him enough to see her boyfriend’s expression in full, which only confirmed her fears. Her face fell immediately. “Who told you?”
Brainy’s dark eyes held her firmly. “No one had to tell us anything. The Tower received twelve identical distress calls from Team Flash in the span of two hours.”
Nia groaned. “I had a feeling you were gonna say that.” Before Brainy could respond, she turned away from him, padding over to the kitchen. “You know what I think? Barry jumps the gun to panic way too quickly.” She plucked Brainy’s favourite mug from the drying rack, forcing a laugh over her shoulder. “Speedsters, am I right?”
Brainy didn’t say anything. In fact, he kept silent even while Nia poured him a share from the still warm coffee pot on the counter. The longer the silence remained unbroken, the more certain she became that they were going to need something a whole lot stronger to get through this conversation.
Finally, Brainy shifted in the doorway. She listened to his hesitant footfalls as he walked without urgency to the other side of the breakfast bar. She sighed, tapping the edge of his mug idly before pushing it out towards him.
“Nia,” Brainy said again, making no move to take it. There wasn’t any real anger in his voice, only a wary concern bred from everything she’d yet to tell him. He didn’t need to say anything else; she could read between the lines.
“I’m fine, Brainy,” she insisted. “I swear, okay? Actually, I’m a lot better than fine.” She smiled up at him then, unable to hide her own excitement. “I have so much I want to tell you.”
Brainy’s eyes flickered restlessly across her face, a look she recognised all too well. She’d definitely caught herself doing it to Brainy on more than one occasion. It was that final once over you gave your partner after a fight or on patrol, the one to make sure there were no cuts or bruises, no cleverly disguised signs of injury.
Her smile softened when Brainy finally relaxed. His hand grazed over hers as he took the mug from the counter. Nodding reservedly, he gestured towards the sofa. “Then, by all means.”
For the next hour, all Nia did was talk. She tried to stick to a somewhat chronological account of events, even if that was a little hard considering half of them had happened in the dream realm. Brainy sat silently at her side, drinking in every word with expect focus. He didn’t interject once throughout the story, although she did catch him twisting his ring particularly hard whenever she mentioned the parts about her nightmare vision, or at least what she’d thought had been a nightmare at the time.
After she’d finished, she realised that the wariness in Brainy’s demeanour had been replaced with total fascination. His eyes practically glittered with it. He’d stuck strictly to his side of the sofa for most of the story, but as she’d neared the end, he’d shuffled in closer, enough that their shoulders were nearly touching.
A breath caught in Nia’s throat as Brainy reached out, his fingers tracing a delicate pathway along the lines of her jaw and cheekbone where the Naltorian symbols had glowed the most prominently. She was sure there were no signs of them now she was back in the waking world, and yet Brainy touched upon their exact placement without any foreknowledge to guide him.
“Extraordinary,” he murmured, his voice soft with awe. “And you can see this… ancient Naltorian? Right now?” He straightened suddenly, eyes darting vigilantly about the room.
Nia snorted, covering her mouth. God, she’d missed him. “She isn’t always here,” she admitted. “But, uh, for the record…” She nodded over to the bedroom door where the first Dreamer had been stood watching over them for some time. She, too, had shown a great reverence in Nia’s recounting of events, smiling openly throughout as though to encourage her.
Brainy pointed bluntly in the direction Nia had referenced. “There?”
Nia bit her lip, taking Brainy’s arm and gently guiding it until his hand had crossed over the first Dreamer’s exact location. “There,” she said.
Brainy’s eyes lit up. He turned his full attention to that spot, bowing his head in a way that was equal parts respectful and adorkable.
The first Dreamer also looked amused.
Nia smiled. “I think she likes you.”
Brainy lifted his head. “She does?”
“Definitely. Maybe we can arrange a proper meet sometime in the dream realm.”
“I would be honoured,” Brainy said earnestly. He turned back to her, eyes wide. “This step you have taken in your pursuit to unlock the fullest extent of your abilities, it is astounding, Nia, truly. I am so glad you have finally been able to achieve it.”
“Yeah,” Nia said, rolling her eyes. “And all I had to do was stop trying to control everything.”
“You would be surprised how rarely a person is able to relinquish such control.” Brainy’s lips twitched fondly. “It is a particularly stubborn state of mind that extends to most intelligent lifeforms.”
“Even the most intelligent?” Nia teased.
“Especially the most intelligent,” Brainy returned gravely. He placed his hand across her knee, leaning in close. “How do you feel?”
Nia’s breath sharpened at the question. It was kind of silly, but up until then, she hadn’t really stopped to think about it. She closed her eyes, letting the rest of her breath ease slowly through her teeth as she considered her answer. “Like… my blood’s fizzing, but in a good way.” She chuckled lightly, flexing her hands out in front of her. “For that short time I couldn’t access my powers, I felt so strange, like the easiest thing in the world had suddenly become so hard. And… when they came back, it didn’t exactly feel as easy as it had before.” She frowned, opening her eyes. “Does that make sense?”
Brainy smiled knowingly. “As I understand it, that suggests your Naltorian ancestor has much she wishes to teach you.”
“And I intend to learn, believe me,” Nia said, feeling the first Dreamer’s watchful eyes on her, the calm fondness that seemed to radiate from that corner of the room. “But it does feel good, Brainy. I feel more powerful than ever.” Nia glanced down at her hands, willing a burst of dream energy through her bracelets. They lit up her fingers with such vibrancy, webbing between them like buzzing blue veins. “I thought I had a pretty good handle on turning this stuff into just about anything.” She clenched her hands together again, letting the energy disperse as quickly as it had appeared. She grinned. “Now I know that, before, I was barely scraping the surface of what these powers can do. I can’t wait to try them out.” Before she could say any more, a yawn claimed her and Nia reached for her mouth with a grimace. “Ugh, but that can wait ‘til tomorrow. Despite the whole being in a coma for most of the day thing, I’m exhausted.”
“Then rest,” Brainy said, kissing her cheek. He brushed his nose against hers before pulling away, squeezing her knee tight. “You have more than earned it.”
Nia sighed – that was certainly true. As she stood to stretch, she could feel a little of that buzz from the coffee swarm in the back of her head, although it could have just as easily been a trill from her newly developed powers. Her Naltorian metabolism would have the caffeine out of her system in no time, but the rest? She supposed she’d just have to get used to it.
As she headed to the bedroom alongside Brainy, she found herself passing by the first Dreamer once again. A tingle ran down her spine at such close proximity to the entity, but it wasn’t unpleasant.
When Nia was sure Brainy was out of earshot, she turned to the first Dreamer in earnest, clasping her hands in front of her. “Thank you,” she whispered. “For everything you’ve shown me, for everything else you’re gonna show me, but uh… for now?” She winced awkwardly. “Could we, um, get a little privacy, maybe?”
The first Dreamer’s smile broadened and she bowed her head in a similar fashion to Brainy’s initial greeting. She left without fanfare - one blink and she was gone.
Well, not gone, exactly. Nia knew that whether she could see the first Dreamer or not, a part of her would always remain within herself. In fact, that part had always been there.
She just hadn’t been looking hard enough before.

Chapter 2: Welcome to the Celestial Realm
That night was even more volatile than normal. Even knowing he was shipping out to Heaven in the morning didn’t help him worry less about the amount of anger his father was throwing around downstairs.
When he’d asked when they were leaving, neither mom knew for sure, just “early”.  Given the fact that his dad was especially volatile, Jake was half-dozing in his day clothes with his arms wrapped around his backpack.  Just in case he needed to sneak out the window and down to Nia’s. He’d packed a bag but he’d happily leave that behind if it meant being safe. He didn’t want to show up to the Celestial Realm covered in cuts and bruises. That was not the impression he wanted to make on actual angels, thanks.
When the sudden bright light flashed in front of his eyes, Jake was utterly unprepared. Theoretically, he should have been asleep, or in pajamas at least.  And if it had been any other kid, they probably would have been. Heck, Nia for sure was in her pajamas sound asleep at this time of morning.
When the light cleared, Jake looked around. Where am I? This looks like some kind of… Fancy Library…
He was sitting on the ground, in the same position he’d been sitting on his bed. His bag was nowhere to be seen, which was immediately stressful. To his left stood a young woman, about his age.  She was darker than Nia, with long hair the color of grape juice in a long braid down her back.
“Uh, hi.” He said quietly.  She turned and looked at him and beamed, reaching out a hand to help him up.
“Hey there, stranger. I expected you to be in your pajamas when they told me the other human exchange student was a completely normal guy.”
“Uh. Yeah. I… didn’t know when they were coming to get me, so…”
“Fair! I suppose it’s not normal to just go ahead and assume 3:47am.”
Jake gave her a look.  She seemed nice enough, but… there was something weird about her.
“You think I’m weird, I bet.” She said, and his jaw dropped open.
“Are you reading my mind?”
“No, you just have an expressive face. Also, it’s the normal kind of reaction any time magic’s involved. The angels should be here to greet us momentarily, but let me get started with you anyway.”
She stuck out a hand, covered in a soft black glove. “I’m Cheyenne, and I’m a witch.”
“Jake.” he smiled, and took her hand, giving it a shake. “I’m painfully normal. Also… I’m calling you Shiny from now on.”
Cheyenne paused, blinked, and nodded. “That’s cute as heck! I like it. You are allowed.”
“Yeah okay good. I nickname like… everyone.”
“That’s probably not going to fly so hot with the angels, just as a heads up.”
“No?”
“Yeah, they tend to be sticklers for process and. . . well, you’ll see.”
“You’re making me doubt the next year of my life and I’ve been here less than five minutes.”
“You made this choice, kiddo.”
“Well, technically my mother did, but. Kiddo? How old are you?”
“Oh, only 25. I just know you’re still in high school, so younger than me.”
“Mph.” Jake said eloquently, squelching whatever else it was that he was going to say as the door in front of them opened to admit a small group of people.
“Perfectly said. With that in mind, let me do the talking.” Shiny said, mostly under her breath, and Jake wondered what she knew that he didn’t. For a moment. And then he started wondering what she knew that he did know, because that was probably a far shorter list, given everything that had happened in the past three minutes.
“Welcome to the Celestial Realm, exchange students.”  The man speaking was a tall man with pale skin and piercing blue eyes. He was dressed in a pristine three-piece suit - white, with blue accents. His bearing reminded Jake of his father, and he had to clamp down on an immediate visceral dislike of the man.  It was just his coloring, Jake was sure. They looked like they could be family, after all. He was greeting them, and he was an angel. Besides, his mom promised he’d be safe. She’d put her own life on the line multiple times to keep him safe - he trusted her word.
“Greetings, Michael.” Shiny said, a smile on her face that Jake matched. He was good at smiling and covering up what he was really thinking. It was one of his best skills. Maybe he should go into business.
“Ah, Cheyenne.” Michael said, and if Jake didn’t know better, he’d think Michael’s smile dimmed for a half a second before settling. “How good it is to see you again.”
While Michael and Cheyenne greeted each other, Jake felt his eyes moving to the people behind Michael.
To his right was a man with light olive skin and long silver hair pulled back into a ponytail, whose red eyes were hidden behind glasses and mostly focused on what was probably his phone. He wore a long white coat that looked like it came straight out of The Matrix.
To his left was a man with short wavy indigo hair and cool, dark skin. His eyes were a similar blue-purple to his hair, and he was watching the both of them with a smirk gracing his lips. He was wearing a black skin-tight shirt with a white leather jacket and matching pants, studded all over in gold.
Behind the both of them was a man with a spear.  Jake initially took him for a guard of some type, because of the spear, but the way he carried himself implied more autonomy than just a guard.  His ash blonde hair was short but fell almost into his eyes, giving him a sleepy look. The eyes themselves were a glorious gradient of blue with a ring of purple around the pupil. Jake felt like he could drown in them. He was wearing a complicated top of multiple layers that left the vast majority of his chest exposed, a collared vest with long tails but only down his back, and a pair of what looked like a combination of black leggings with white harem pants over the top split down the sides.  He was easily the most attractive person that Jake had ever seen, and he had to tear his eyes away.
All in all, Jake felt weirdly like he fit in visually here. And also like he hadn’t been listening to a word of the conversation between Cheyenne and Michael. Oops.
“As I was saying.” Michael said, turning to pin Jake with a look that told him just how obvious his distraction had been. “The demons should be here shortly, and we’ll do introductions once, rather than repeat ourselves.”
Jake nodded, trying to stay engaged. It wasn’t working. His eyes kept looking anywhere but at Michael, interested in the room they were in, the books on the shelves, the incredibly hot (probably) angel with the spear that was avoiding his gaze…
He was startled from his distraction, once again, by an odd popping sound, and the appearance of two women. Two women who couldn’t be more different if they tried.
One of them was a deep red, as though she’d soaked in beet juice for months. Even what Jake would have called the whites of her eyes were red.  And despite the obvious demonic look, she was smiling brightly, the very picture of cheer, and Jake couldn’t help but smile back. Sure, sure, her teeth were wicked pointy, but he’d liked creepier people.
The other was an entire cake of a woman. He’d say beefcake, but she was like… carrot cake.  Ginger hair in two long braids each as thick as his forearms that fell down past her waist.  They were probably weapons in their own right, and the muscles in her neck were definitely strong enough to hold them up.
Michael clapped his hands to get everyone’s attention, and Jake stiffened, turning to look at the angel.
“Introductions are in order. I am Michael, Voice of God, leader of all angels, and all here know of me.” It was unspoken, but Jake had this feeling that he was trying to claim he was all-powerful and would someday be King of Heaven and all Jake could do was shiver.
“To my right is Gabriel. He will be handling your technology needs and any other communication between the realms while you are here.” The man with silver hair looked up and nodded.
“To my left is Feniel. He should be able to help with any academic questions you have while you are here, as he is usually found here in the library.” The dark angel smiled, and Jake couldn’t help but smile as well.  There was something bitter in that smile, and Jake wondered if Feniel would even be included if they weren’t having this meeting in the library to start with.
“Behind me is Raphael.” Raphael. Jake thought the name, and felt his smile shift to something more genuine.  The name suited the man with the spear. “Raphael is discipline. You will most likely not need to see him during your time here in the Celestial Realm, but he will be in classes with you, so be friendly at least.”
Raphael’s face showed nothing in reaction to Michael’s words. Not even a flicker of emotion. Jake wasn’t sure how to take that. Maybe he wasn’t an emotions kind of angel. Maybe he didn’t like Michael. Maybe he just didn’t emote while he was working and this was definitely working.  Whatever it was, Jake was going to figure it out.  The angel had him curious, and he was dangerous when curious. Nia could attest, for sure.
“Angels accounted for,” Michael continued. “Let me confirm why you’re all here. Diavolo, Prince of the Devildom, believes that the three realms need to strengthen our relationships rather than relying on our extant ties. As such, we have instituted an exchange program.  We’ve sent two angels to the human world and two to the Devildom.  And, we’re welcoming four students to our institution: two from the human world and two from the Devildom.”
Two?! Why couldn’t I have gone with Nia then, or she come here? Splitting us was both cruel and unnecessary.
“So you’ve obviously figured out who’s who, why don’t we go ahead and have you introduce yourselves.  Let’s start with Miss Red over here.  Could you be so kind as to keep your demon form put away while you’re here in the Celestial Realm?”
The dark red girl seemed to shiver, and then stood looking like a typical college girl. Skin a nice dark tan, with blood red pigtails, in a black tank and plaid skater skirt style. Her smile was still contagious.
“Hi. I’m Vriyaya. I like to dance, and have a perfectly normal fascination with blood.”
Next to her, the carrot cake girl laughed, and then paused when everyone looked at her.
“Oh was that all? It can be my turn then. I’m Yboun’dih, and I am very much looking forward to spending time with all of you and finding out what it’s like up here in the Celestial Realm.”
Well, she seems perfectly normal, for a carrot cake.  But what’s with that name? I’m calling her Bunny for sure. Because carrot cake.
Wasting no time, the grape juice girl next to him spoke up. “I’m Cheyenne. Friends call me Shiny.” Does that mean I’m her friend? Whoa, way to simultaneously stake a claim and friendzone a guy.  Good thing I’m gay and not offended. Jake chuckled, and Shiny shot him a grin. “I’m a witch. The angels know me, they love me.” Feniel coughed, and Shiny sighed “Okay, okay, they tolerate me. Anyway I’m here halfway often, so…”
Jake realized, then, that he was next and also last and that was a weight he wasn’t expecting.
“Hi, I’m Jake. Your paperwork probably calls me Jacob, but if you call me Jacob I will take it as an offense. Call me Jake, or don’t call me at all.” He looked pointedly at Michael when he said it. “I’m painfully normal. I didn’t even know the Celestial Realm was real 12 hours ago. Please cut me some slack, I’ll try and learn as fast as I can. Also, if you’ve got gossip in this place… let me in on it. I love me a good gossip sesh. Also… I don’t seem to have any of my things, and also you grabbed me in the middle of the night so maybe work on the timing and warning of pickups for things like this?”
Michael pursed his lips at this. “Well, with any new program there are issues. I will pass your feedback on to our contacts in the Devildom who did the planning, and hopefully they’ll bother to note it down for next time. As far as your things are concerned, you will not need anything from the human realm. Everything you need while you are here will be provided to you.” Jake didn’t think that their retrieval of him was in any way the Devildom’s fault but… he’d have to ask Nia about it, maybe she can ask someone there about it. And his things… he really hoped that someone who had some kind of fashion sense picked out his clothes.
“Regardless.” Michael continued, piercing Jake with a glare as though he could tell that his mind wandered. “Your period of stay here in the Celestial Realm is one year.  You will be able to communicate with your family at home, as well as any friends you make here, via your C.C.C..  You will have to work on the tasks that you receive here at The Celestial Academy, or TCA for short, just like your schooling in your home realms, though the subjects will differ. After one year, you will write a term paper detailing your time here in the Celestial Realm, and then you will return home. We will arrange for sufficient educational credits and the issuing of your diploma at that time.”
“What kind of tasks?  Is there a primer? Books I can study up on so I don’t make a fool of myself?” Jake really hated making a fool of himself. It was a trait he and Nia shared, actually. He couldn’t keep his mind off his bestie. He hoped she was doing okay down there in Hell. Erm, the Devildom.
“Are you glaring at me?” Michael said, slightly taken aback. “Please don’t.  It is beneath us both.  I will not abandon you to your studies without any guidance, nor leave you to your own devices whilst here in the Celestial Realm.  As a perfectly normal human, you’ll need someone to look after you, and as such I will be assigning you a mentor while you are here. Gabriel here,” Michael gestured to the tech nerd on his right, “Will be your mentor during your time here. He can be a bit… distracted.  Well, you’ll understand soon enough.”
Gabriel also glared at Michael, and Jake had to work hard to keep a smirk off of his face. After the momentary glare, Gabriel stepped out and handed everyone a small device, coming to Jake last.
“All of you, these are what Michael mentioned before, your C.C.C - it stands for Celestial Communication Console, and it’s a lot like the cell phones of the human world or the D.D.D.s that exist in the Devildom.”
Jake examined the device in his hand and smirked.  Sure enough, it looked like the newest model of iPhone.  Of course the Celestial Realm were Apple fanboys. That made perfect sense.
“Thanks.” He said, giving Gabriel one of his best smiles. He wanted to make a good impression on the angel who’d be overseeing his existence for the foreseeable future.
“This will be yours to use for as long as you’re here. It’s pre-loaded with everyone in this room’s contact information, your mother and… whoever Nia is?”
“Holy shit!” Jake exclaimed, not even thinking if swearing might get him in trouble. “You weren’t lying. I can totally text Nia with this.” He sniffed suddenly, realizing his eyes were tearing up. He thought he’d have to be without his bestie for an entire year, and he didn’t and that just… it was the best thing ever.
“Nia? Sounds like someone has a girlfriend~!” Vriyaya’s voice swam over in a singsong tone and Jake shot her a smile, but didn’t answer. Nia wasn’t a girlfriend, excepting in the literal sense that she was a girl and his friend.
Jake looked up and cast his gaze across the group. “So, I like nicknames. I sure you could tell given my insistence about my own name.” he said, deciding to be upfront with his habits. “I’ve already got Shiny here. Yboun’dih..” he tried not to mangle her name while looking into her bright green eyes. “Can I call you Bunny?”
The large girl grinned, and bounced in place. “Yes. I can be your Bunny.”
Vriyaya piped up “People call me Aya at home. Since you like nicknames, cutie.”
Okay. Shiny, Bunny, Aya…
“What about you, angels? A lot of your names have built in nicknames, but—“
“No.” Michael said simply. “We do not use nicknames.”
Jake practically wilted.  Shiny had warned him, but… it still stung.  Why did he have to go ahead and be rude about it? Was it because Jake had been pointed about his own use name? And none of the other angels spoke up at all, which he couldn’t decide if meant they agreed with Michael or simply didn’t want to contradict him. Either way, Jake hated it.

Kara hugs them all, J’onn, Brainy, then Nia, and it’s so good to see them all, so good to be back with her sister, her family. She never thought she’d have this, never thought she’d see them any of them again.
But it’s Lena who makes her heart skip in her chest, a rhythm of I’m home coursing through her before she even sees her, she can just feel her presence in the room, Lena’s own heartbeat fast and sure in her ears.
It’s not until she’s hugged everyone else, been welcomed home by the others, does she turn to Lena, because she knows once she sees her, once she hugs her, feels her warm body, catches the scent of her shampoo, she’s not sure she’ll ever be able to let her go again.
Kara’s breath gets caught in her lungs when familiar green eyes, brimming with tears, finally meet hers.
She’s smiling as she steps into Lena immediately, no hesitation in the gesture, just arms wrapping around Lena’s shaking body, holding her as tight as she can.
Home, is what this feels like, and it crashes over her just how much she loves Lena, just how much she’s missed her.
Lena was never far from her mind in the…where she was. A thought to keep her sane, a thought of green eyes she’s still never found a match in colour for elsewhere, a thought of a bright smile and a brilliant mind and a hug so warm that it can dispel any cold.
She can feel it now, feels warm all the way to her bones, in a way she wasn’t sure she’d ever feel again.
She doesn’t say any of that.
“It’s only because you’re on the team that I’m here,” she says instead.
Lena gasps at the words, a tiny intake of air that almost sounds like a sob. Kara buries her face into Lena’s shoulder, holds her there for a moment as Lena’s grip tightens. She can feel Lena’s fingers digging into her back before they suddenly slip away, Lena pulling herself from her arms way too soon.
Kara’s not quite ready to let her go yet, she’s not sure she ever would be, but so for right now, she catches Lena’s hands as they fall, grips them tightly in her own as Lena still moves away. But Kara follows, would follow her anywhere, drawn like a magnet to Lena, always wanting to be near her, to be closer.
It’s been like that since the day they met, that Kara felt a particular pull to the woman who also just wanted to make a name for herself outside of her family, the woman who she’d believed instantly, only because her smile was soft and her eyes were honest and she just felt deep her in chest that they could trust her.
She knew Lena was going to be important to her, she just didn’t know she was going to be this important.
She sees Alex in her peripheral vision, sees her about to interrupt, but she pays her sister no mind, had almost forgotten they weren’t alone, that the others are all still here and watching too.
But Kara ignores that fact for now, her mind stuck on the woman in front of her and the promise she’d made to herself while she was gone, a thought that had kept her going because she knew she had to tell Lena exactly what she means to her, how she feels about her.
Kara’s still leaning forward as her eyes dart down to Lena’s lips, but then she glances back up to green eyes, steadily moving closer, a mix of confusion and relief and something else Kara can’t quite identify.
Kara’s breath stutters out of her when her forehead presses against Lena’s, relief and hope skittering through her chest when Lena doesn’t pull away.
Lena’s heart is pounding in her chest, loud and certain in her ears and it reminds Kara that this is real, that she’s actually home, that the number of times she’s imagined this moment, it’s finally here, Lena’s hands warm still tangled in hers, her breath hot against her face.
She can feel all the tension leaving her body as she leans into Lena’s touch, feels completely surrounded by her.
“I missed you so much,” Lena chokes out, the words barely more than a whisper but they’re there, Kara can hear the pain, the longing, the relief in them.
“I missed you too,” Kara sighs. She tilts her head, brushing her nose against Lena’s, just once, and then again when she hears the way Lena’s heartbeat skips, the tiny gasp that falls from her lips.
It’s that that spurs her on, and the knowledge that Lena is still here, that she hasn’t pushed her away, that gives Kara the courage to push forward, to close that tiny gap that was barely even a gap anyway, but enough that Kara’s mouth brushes Lena’s.
Kara’s whole being crumbles at the touch, she feels herself break apart as she lets out her last secret.
Lena sighs, and the sound is mostly swallowed by their kiss but Kara hears it, she feels it too, it reverberates through her as Lena presses forward, more confidence in the touch.
Lena’s lips part under her own and Kara gasps when Lena’s tongue brushes her lips. Kara drops Lena’s hands, no longer afraid of her going anywhere, in favour of tangling her fingers in soft hair, pulling them even closer.
She gets lost in the touch, in Lena’s fingers cupping her jaw, in the hot press of Lena’s mouth against her own, the smell of Lena’s shampoo and her heartbeat loud in her ears.
A throat clearing close by brings Kara crashing back to reality. It breaks their kiss, but Kara doesn’t move away, and neither does Lena, still half tangled together as they turn towards the sound of the noise.
It’s Alex who interrupted them, and that knowledge does have Kara slipping her hands from Lena’s hair, putting a more friendly distance between them even if the kiss they just shared was anything but friendly.
“As happy as I am for you both,” Alex says, an amused tilt of her eyebrow. “Could you maybe tone it down a little? I did not need to see all of that.”
Kara wants to be annoyed at the interruption, but then she’s grateful because her father walks in a moment later and she’s glad he didn’t see what just happened.
She looks back over to Lena, who’s cheeks are red and her lipstick is smudged, her hair not as perfect as it was before she’d run her fingers through it, and Kara thinks she falls even more in love with her.
They still have a lot of things to talk about, but that can wait. She tangles her fingers through Lena’s again, bumps her shoulder into Lena’s, earns a shy smile in return, half hidden by a curtain of hair as Lena ducks her head.
Despite everything they’ve been through, Kara knows they’re going to be okay.

Anon I'm sorry this took me a thousand years, but here you go. This gets wildly NSFW after the cut. Enjoy!
/// The first time it happens, Alex figures it's a fluke.
There are, after all, extenuating circumstances. She's not sure how many glasses of wine she's had because every time she turns around Sam has topped her off again, and maybe she should stop indulging but the wine is good and the company is better and this is the first day off off she's had for so long that it's hard not to let go a little. Kara's been keeping the showtunes coming all afternoon, a little louder than her old bluetooth speaker can really handle but it doesn't matter because Spotify is really just an excuse for Kara and Sam to sing at the top of their lungs. Alex is not participating, but she is appreciating. Appreciating because it's nice to see her sister laugh and smile like maybe things are getting better and maybe things are going to be okay. And also appreciating because, well, Sam. It's hard not to appreciate anything and everything Sam.
The activity of the afternoon is ostensibly the production of baked goods for a fundraiser related to Ruby's soccer team. Alex says 'ostensibly' because the reality is that it's been more than three hours and they haven't gotten the first batch of cookies into the oven yet. There's flour all over the floor, and she's pretty sure Kara got butter stuck to ceiling before Sam took the mixer away, but sometimes that's just the cost of a slightly raucous afternoon well spent, isn't it? And they'll have it all done in time anyway. In fact, Sam is just now finishing up the first batch of cookie dough in the confiscated kitchen aid when Alex, perhaps inebriated or perhaps just feeling emboldened by the domestic comfort of the whole affair, lunges for the beater.
This, it turns out, is either a mistake or the best decision she's ever made in her life. Her hand does contact the beater. She does come within a few seconds of pure raw cookie dough bliss. But Sam is faster, and in a flash Alex finds herself pinned between the counter and Sam's hips, one wrist wrapped up in Sam's fingers, the beater now soundly out of reach in Sam's other hand.
"Mine," Sam growls, but her eyes have dropped to Alex's mouth and for one disorienting moment Alex thinks she might be about to kiss her, thinks maybe the word 'mine' has nothing to do with the beater at all, that maybe they've crossed into some alternate dimension where there's a future for her and Sam that doesn't involve a lot of politely smiling and politely never mentioning one another's romantic entanglements or the absence thereof.
And the thing is, Alex thinks to herself, contemplating the heat of Sam's gaze and the fact that she literally cannot move beneath Sam's hips, this is... attractive. This is very attractive, in an immediate and throbbing sort of way that would be frankly embarrassing approximately half a glass of wine earlier in the afternoon. But that can't be right, because Alex doesn't like to be pushed around. Alex is the one who does the pushing. Isn't she? Sam's grip tightens around her wrist and Alex's lips part of their own accord and-
"Oh for heaven's sake," Kara says, snatching the beater out of Sam's hand. "It's mine, because you two are both being ridiculous." She rolls her eyes. "I hate being the only adult in the room."
It was a fluke. That's what Alex thinks to herself later that night when she wakes with a start from a just-dozing-off dream featuring the immovable nature of Sam's hips. They were drinking and it was a long afternoon and everyone was a little wound up and a little giddy and Alex has been single for a long time. That's it. That's all it was. That's all it has to be.
///
It's harder to write it off as a fluke the second time, but she manages.
James is in town and so it's game night. Not their monthly game night as scheduled, but an extra at-the-last-second game night, and Alex is on call. Which is fine. She can count on her fingers the number of times she's had to handle something in the middle of the night while on call for the DEO, and she's not particularly worried. But it's a problem because she can't be drinking, which means she's sober when Sam corners her in the kitchen.
It's been a long night. Not in a bad way. Just in the sense that things have been a little more risque than usual, what with Nia falling over herself trying to make it clear to Brainy that she'd like to sleep with him without actually making it clear, and Lena shooting those long smoldering looks at a characteristically oblivious Kara, and then there's Sam. Alex can't stop looking at Sam in that shirt where it sits a little too tight across the shoulders, can't stop tracing the line of that necklace to the place where it disappears just below her collar, can't stop following the meaningless movement of her fingers as she absently fiddles with a beer that wouldn't have an effect on her even if she drank the whole case. She wonders idly if it's for the aesthetic or if Sam just likes the taste of a craft IPA.
The trouble is that every time Alex catches herself looking at Sam, she also catches Sam looking at her. And so, upon dragging her eyes up once more from Sam's fingers to find Sam staring back at her, eyes dark and expression unreadable, Alex decides it's time for a drink after all. One beer won't hurt, even if the world decides to consider coming to an abrupt conclusion in the next hour or so and it turns out to be her responsibility. It's just that her mouth is suddenly dry, and the room is suddenly too loud, and she needs something to roll between her fingers the way Sam is rolling that IPA back and forth and back and forth and- Yeah. Just one beer will be fine.
She slips into the kitchen while Nia is yelling about how they should all do a TikTok together. It's quieter here, and a cool breeze through the window over the sink raises goosebumps across her arms. She pops the fridge open, pulls a beer at random, leans up against the counter. Maybe she doesn't want a drink after all. Maybe she just needs a minute.
"Aren't you on call, Ms. Danvers?"
Sam. Alex pouts. "What are you, the party police?"
Sam steps up close, takes the beer from Alex without so much as looking at it. "Aren't you the alien invader police?"
That's a dumb line and it doesn't remotely reflect Alex's actual job description, but she laughs anyway. "It's just one beer. Like 4%. I can handle it."
"I know," Sam murmurs.
Alex thinks she's forgotten how to breathe. Sam's eyes are on her mouth and those hips are pressing into her again and when Sam slips one arm around her waist and one hand into her hair a sound comes out of her that might have been a whimper. There's an inevitability to the way Sam leans in, to the way Alex's lips part as Sam tilts her head back with a firm tug. There's a moment of hesitation, a lingering, an opportunity to say no. Instead, Alex whispers, "Please."
Sam obliges. She kisses her slow, languid almost, holds her firm against the counter as she licks into her mouth and Alex is thinking that maybe she's going to come right here just letting Sam kiss her like this when Sam presses a thigh between her legs and she gasps, grinds down hard without meaning to.
Sam chuckles into her mouth, drags one hand around to her throat, traces feather light kisses along her jaw, tugs on her earlobe with her teeth. "Good girl," she whispers.
Alex isn't sure if it's the heat of Sam's breath, or the praise, or the way she's been casually immobilized, but she shudders, and Sam chuckles again, lips against her ear, and that only makes it worse.
"Fuck," Sam says. "If I had my strap with me I'd rail you right here."
Alex is pretty sure that would kill her. She's pretty sure just the thought of it is going to kill her. Just the pad of Sam's thumb dragging across her throat as she kisses her again, just the roll of those hips, that thigh pressing hard into her, that deep ache coiling tighter as Sam pulls back just far enough to meet her eyes and-
"Hey, Nia wants- Oh!" Lena stops short just inside the kitchen door. "I'll just." She plucks a bottle of wine from the counter. "Take this and tell her that you've uhm. That you're busy."
"We'll be right there," Sam says. She straightens Alex's shirt with a tug and a smirk. "Wouldn't want to miss the TikTok dance."
"Nope," Alex chokes out. "Wouldn't want to miss that."
It's a fluke. Alex takes a long shower when she gets home, and she takes care of the lingering ache that's now outlived not one but two TikTok dances, and she thinks about texting Sam. She falls asleep with her phone in her hand and if she has dreams about a tall, handsome, strong woman railing her against a kitchen counter, well. That happens sometimes. Could happen to anyone. Doesn't mean anything except that Alex has been single for probably too long . She downloads Hinge in the morning and considers explicitly mentioning in her bio that she's the one who wears the strap.
///
The Hinge profile lasts about three days. Alex scrolls through a ridiculous number of women, all of whom are... fine, before she comes to the conclusion that the problem is that none of them are Sam. She's sitting on this stupid app pedaling her stupid profile and all she wants is the woman whose attention prompted her to download a dating app in the first place. And she can't want Sam because it would never work. They're fundamentally incompatible. This bedroom ain't big enough for two tops. It's not going to happen.
But the words if I had my strap with me I'd rail you right here are as stuck in Alex's head as that Lady Gaga song Brainy won't stop playing over the speakers at the DEO. She can't stop thinking about it. Picturing it, even. Dreaming about it when her mind should be anywhere else, on anything else. And she'd just avoid Sam, just look the other way until her hormones sort themselves out, except that Sam is virtually impossible to avoid.
Kara doesn't make it any easier when she calls on Friday night to ask her about a movie night at Sam's apartment.
"Ruby's on a school trip, so it'll be just the four of us," Kara says over the phone. "I'll bring snacks, and we can order whatever you want for dinner. Please? Lena's never seen Star Wars; we have to do something."
Alex doesn't know how to say no. No, I won't come to what feels suspiciously like a double date movie night at Sam's apartment, because Sam's strap is at Sam's apartment, and I'm not sure that she isn't going to try to fuck me on the bathroom floor, and furthermore, I'm not sure that I don't want her to. Instead she says, "Any Star Wars? That's a crime. Which movie are we starting with?"
It's probably a safe bet anyway. Kara and Lena will be there the whole time; Alex and Sam will never be alone. All Alex has to do is make sure that she leaves when everyone else does and they can avoid the awkwardness altogether, and no that is definitely not anticipation she's feeling in the pit of her stomach, and she certainly does not spend an extra half an hour in bed on Saturday morning keeping herself busy with the thought of offering to stay and help clean up, of finding herself pinned against the refrigerator door while Sam takes her from behind. That absolutely does not happen because that would be ridiculous, undignified, untoplike behavior.
Alex is certainly feeling ridiculous, undignified, and untoplike standing outside Sam's door that evening, anxiously smoothing out her shirt with one hand, a case of that IPA from game night in the other. She's arrived a carefully calculated fifteen minutes late just to be absolutely sure Kara and Lena will get here first, but she didn't spot Kara's car outside, and so she isn't particularly surprised when Sam opens the door with a warm smile and welcomes her into an empty apartment.
"Kara and Lena?" she asks as Sam takes the proffered beer.
"Lena got held up at the office," Sam replies, already disappearing into the kitchen. "They're running late. An hour or so. Told them we'd wait. Do you prefer an IPA or a lager? I don't have any stouts in the fridge right now. Might be a decent sour in here somewhere."
Alex lingers in the entryway, that not-anticipation feeling thrumming through her veins. She could follow Sam to the kitchen. Kitchens do seem to be their Thing. But Sam returns with two lagers, her question unanswered, and nods her head towards the living room.
Well, now they're alone together after all and Alex is feeling awkward. She settles onto one end of the couch and tries not to read into it when Sam deposits the lagers on the coffee table and settles in next to her, legs folded under her, almost too close, instead of occupying the perfectly good cushion on the other end.
"Sam," Alex tries. They should talk about this. "We should talk about this."
"Hmm." A hint of a smirk flickers across soft lips before Sam schools her expression. "Talk about what, exactly?"
If Alex had bothered to rehearse this conversation in her mind, she still wouldn't have imagined it going this way. Her eyes drop to Sam's mouth and then she struggles to look elsewhere. The records on the shelf under the window. The blank television screen.
"I-" she starts, but the words don't want to come out. The lager on the coffee table. She doesn't reach for it. "I can't stop thinking about game night," she forces out, and then she looks back up at Sam to gauge her reaction.
Sam is smirking openly now, a hint of laughter in her eyes. She reaches out to tangle long fingers in the hair at Alex's nape, the same grip she used to pull her into a kiss just last week, and Alex's arousal is embarrassingly immediate. "Really?" Sam asks. "Game night, huh? You want to know what I can't stop thinking about?"
It's Alex's gaze that drops first, to Sam's mouth again, and this time she can't look away. "What?"
"Tonight," Sam replies, close enough that Alex's eyes flutter closed, close enough that she can almost feel Sam's answer on her lips. There's probably a coy response for this somewhere in the lesbian handbook but Alex is reaching and coming up empty. She presses a soft kiss to Sam's mouth instead and feels that anticipation - there's no denying now that it's anticipation - thrum again when Sam's tongue immediately presses into her, hot and demanding.
"What's so special about tonight," Alex mumbles as Sam kisses along her jaw to her neck.
"Mmm." Sam nips hard against Alex's pulse point, smiles into her skin when she gasps. "Well, that depends."
"On what?"
"Take your shirt off."
Alex hesitates. That isn't remotely the answer to her question, but now Sam is sucking on her neck and her capacity for rational thought is rapidly diminishing. She fumbles with the first shirt button, fingers trembling, and then the second. Three undone is enough for Sam to pull the offending garment over her head. The sports bra follows, and then Sam is tugging on Alex's hips to reposition her so that she's lying back on the couch, and Alex suddenly understands what everyone finds so attractive about kryptonians, because it's effortless the way Sam moves her. She has about a half second to be transfixed by the abs peeking out from under Sam's own blouse before Sam is kissing down her collarbone and over her breast, chuckling when Alex's hips jerk underneath her.
"You know," Sam says, "I was expecting more of a fight out of Alex But-I'm-A-Top Danvers."
Alex opens her mouth to let out a retort but Sam's tongue is working a circle around her nipple and rational thought is once again threatening to fail. "Is that what you want?" She manages, struggling to sit up. "You want a fight?"
"No." Sam pushes her back again, pins her arms over her head with one hand, brushes the fingers of the other across her ribs, frowns. "No, I like you better like this."
Alex flushes and has to remind herself not to squirm, not to look away as Sam studies her in silence, drops kisses across her shoulders, traces the lines of her hip and the inside of her thigh. And then Sam reaches under the couch for a box, the implications of which are momentarily as immobilizing as the hand still holding Alex's wrists down, because Sam planned for this, planned far enough in advance to stash supplies where they might be convenient.
Alex swallows hard when Sam's pants exit the scenario, and Sam's eyes flicker over her face as she opens the box.
"How do you feel about being strapped on the couch?" she asks.
It's such a blunt question that Alex flushes again. "Uhm. Okay?"
Sam stops with her harness halfway out. "Just okay? I'm gonna need a clear yes or-"
"Yes. God. Yes please," Alex says, flushing an even darker shade. She's going to let... this... happen, but she's not going to beg. Christ. Consent granted; please let's move on before things get awkward. Sam chuckles a little at her discomfort and presses a kiss to her brow.
"Okay. But if you want me to stop you just say the word."
Alex nods, not trusting herself to speak, eyeing Sam's fingers where they're tightening the harness. And then all at once she blurts out, "Kara and Lena could be here at any moment," which she hadn't realized might be a concern until it came out of her mouth but now she can't stop thinking about it, and how embarrassing that would be, and Kara can see through walls for heaven's sake, and-
Sam chuckles. "Baby," she says, sliding herself between Alex's legs, "You're not going to last long enough to be worried about that."
Sam is embarrassingly, excruciatingly not wrong. By the time the strap is working into her Alex is pretty sure she's wound tighter than she's ever been, and she'd crack some kind of joke about how it's clearly been too long since she's had anyone inside of her but this is really not the time. Sam is pressing inexorably deeper and it's all she can do to hold her breath because otherwise she's going to come altogether undone before they've even gotten started.
Sam gives her a moment when she's all inside, waits for Alex to exhale, waits for her nod before she starts to rock her hips, and the drag of the strap is so intense that Alex loses her breath and her self control in the same instant with a groan that only deepens Sam's smirk. Alex is kind of wishing Sam would give her back the use of her hands, but that's not in the cards. She squirms instead, hips bucking of their own accord, head thrown back hard against the cushion of the couch.
"Thought about this every night," Sam murmurs, and Alex thinks she'll say since game night but she says, "Since the day I met you," which is almost as mindblowing as the pleasure somehow, incredibly, continuing to build between Alex's hips. "Thought about how good you'd be under me."
Alex shivers at that and then comes, bucking hard into Sam to take as much of the strap as she can, half aware of Sam whispering something in her ear that might have been what a good girl you are if Alex had been cognizant enough to comprehend it. She comes back down to soft kisses across her face, and when Sam lets go of her wrists she wraps her arms around her and tries to remember how to breathe, how to pull all the pieces of herself back together, how to be a competent and capable, dignified and toplike partner.
Alex runs a hand absently through Sam's hair and hums. "Do you want me to return the favor?" she asks. She doesn't have a strap with her but, well, it's not like that was ever the best trick up her sleeve anyway. She opens her mouth to make a quip about how a good top is always prepared but Sam reaches out and casually tips an untouched lager onto her discarded shirt.
Alex splutters.
"Too late," Sam says brightly. "You'll have to ask me after dinner. Lena and Kara are here."
"Lena and Kara are what-"
And there's the knock at the door. The door not ten paces from where Alex is lying in a state of naked disarray on the couch where they are supposed to be watching Star Wars. There is a moment of absolute stillness before Alex begins to scramble for her clothes.
"Bedroom is the second door on the left," Sam says, sneaking in a last kiss while Alex reaches for the underpants peeking out from under the coffee table. "Clean shirts in closet. Do pick something nice; I've been dying to see you in my clothes."
Alex scurries down the hall in her socks quietly cursing and thanking every star in the sky. It's going to be a long night. If she's lucky.

Alt S5b Plot Bunny, Pt 6
By the time the others return from the desert to report an absolute bust, Lena is secured in the infirmary and Kara has hastily wrapped her injuries in messy piles of gauze.
Alex takes one look and immediately shifts into medic mode. "What happened?"
"Lena, she-- she tried to kill me," Kara murmurs. Her gaze shifts to her friend, still unconscious where she's strapped to a gurney. Despite what happened, all she feels in concern.
"She almost succeeded," Alex tells her, prodding the stab wound in her side. Kara groans. "Good news is, you're already starting to heal."
She sets Kara on a stool and wheels over a sunlamp. When she clicks it on, Kara sags under the relief it provides.
"It wasn't her fault," Kara tells Alex. Alex shoots her a look, but Kara insists. "It wasn't! She-- she tried to warn me. And then--"
"You're right," J'onn says, pressing two fingers to his temple. "Her mind has been corrupted."
"How?" Alex asks.
Kara scans Lena with her xray vision, and her blood runs cold when she locates two inorganic devices: one in her neck, the other at the base of her brain stem.
"Brainy--"
Kara describes the devices to the best of her ability. Brainy's eyes alight with understanding.
"It would seem Lex has covered all his bases," Brainy explains. "The first appears to be a small capacitor, capable of delivering an electric current. The other is an inhibitor of some kind, grafted onto her central nervous system. There would be no way for Lena to fight whatever mandate Lex installed."
"Can we remove them?" Nia asks.
Brainy considers that for a moment. "The first would be quite simple to remove. However the inhibitor is a different story. Even assuming Lex has not rigged the device with a failsafe, attempting to remove it could render Miss Luthor comatose, or dead."
Kara releases a shaky breath. "Then what can we do?"
"If we could deactivate the device, I could reverse whatever mandate Lex installed," J'onn offers. "Her mind would be her own again."
"How do we deactivate it if we can't remove it?"
Brainy perks up. "An EMP could render the device inert. There is a chance the device could be reactivated, but doing so would require physical adjustment."
"And I'm not going to let Lex get anywhere close to her again," Kara declares.
J'onn nods. He looks to Brainy. "How soon can you have a device ready to deliver the EMP."
"A few hours at most. I shall begin immediately."
Brainy goes off, and Kara turns to Alex. "Can we keep Lena sedated until it's ready?"
Alex eyes her. "You sure?"
Swallowing, Kara nods. Though partially driven to spare Lena the discovery of being strapped to the bed, more fervent is the need to never see the hate in Lena's eyes again.
"Yeah."
Alex nods. "Okay."
---
The hours pass slowly. Kara spends them under the sunlamp, refusing to leave Lena's side. Alex uses the time to fish the capacitor from Lena's shoulder, and Kara fights the urge to vomit when the small device clinks to the bottom of a sterile basin.
Seeing her distress, Alex offers her a steadying smile. "She's going to be okay."
Kara gazes at Lena, unable to banish the apprehension coiling in her gut. "Yeah."
When Brainy finally returns, they clear the infirmary of anything electrical. At Kara's nod, Brainy activates the device. The wait as it beeps once, twice, three times, then falls silent.
Awkwardly, they wait for something to happen, but nothing does.
"Brainy?"
"The EMP has been delivered."
Lena doesn't stir. Kara looks at her sister in concern. "Alex..."
"The sedatives should wear off any minute."
The wait in anxious silence until Lena finally begins to stir. Kara steps forward, taking Lena's hand in hers. "Lena?"
Lena's eyes open, rolling slightly before squinting against the overhead lights. She groans, then pries her eyes open to look at Kara.
"Kara..."
Lena breathes her name, smiling at the sight of her, her features soft and relieved. Kara studies her, and feels her heart fall.
Alex moves to unfasten Lena's other hand.
"It didn't work," Kara snaps, freezing Alex in place.
"The EMP was delivered--"
Kara pegs him with a sharp glare. "It didn't work!"
On the bed, Lena's grin deepens to something menacing, and a giggle pours out of her. Her grip on Kara's hand tightens, fingernails digging into Kara's skin like claws until Kara jerkily pries herself free.
"Nice try, Supergirl," Lena taunts. "But you can't change the truth: you're a menace--"
Alex silences her with a sharp jab of a syringe, administering another dose of sedative. In moments Lena is out like a light.
Thrusting the sunlamp away from her, Kara stalks to the side of the room, then paced to the other in furious agitation.
"Why didn't it work?"
Brainy thinks for a long moment. "It's possible the device is in fact biomechanic in nature. The nervous system is effectively one large conductor, carrying electrical impulses from the brain to the rest of the body--"
"The device could be powering itself using those impulses," Alex jumps in, catching on quickly.
Brainy nods. "It would be impossible to power it down completely so long as though impulses are present."
"So there's no way to save her?" Kara asks.
Brainy tilts his head, catching Alex's gaze. "There is a way..."
"But it would be risky," Alex finishes.
Kara stops pacing and looks at her. "How risky?"
"If we're right, and the device is powered in part by Lena's own electrical impulses, then we would have to suppress those impulses long enough for the device to run out of juice, then hit it with the EMP."
"And by suppress her electrical impulses, you mean--"
"All electrical impulses. Zero brain activity."
Kara's mouth goes dry. "You mean kill her."
"Only temporarily," Brainy points out. "As soon as the EMP is delivered, we would be able to revive her, and she will be herself again."
Sensing Kara's distress, J'onn places a hand on her shoulder. "It's risky, but it may be Lena's best chance."
Kara takes a deep breath, her mind racing. Losing Lena this way terrifies her, but in her heart she knows the decision Lena would make if she could. She wouldn't want to live like this-- she wouldn't want to be Lex's puppet.
She nods.
"Let's do it."
----
It takes almost an hour to prepare. Alex preps the drugs she'll need to slow Lena's heart, and the drugs she'll need to restart it. She collects a crash cart as well, just in case. In lieu of more advanced technology, which they don't have in the tower, J'onn will monitor Lena's brain waves to determine when it's safe to administer the EMP.
Kara can only watch it all with a lump in her throat, praying to Rao that she hasn't made the wrong decision.
"Ready?" Alex finally asks.
Kara nods. She steps up to Lena's bedside, taking Lena's hand in both of hers. She watches as Alex administers the first syringe, listening as Lena's heartbeat begins to slow. She prays silently as the thumps comes farther and fewer between, then cease entirely. Looking at J'onn, she waits with tears in her eyes as the seconds tick by.
"J'onn..."
"Not yet..."
Dread pours through Kara, filling her swiftly and completely. She shakes her head. "It's been too long. Alex..."
"Kara, wait--"
"Alex!"
"Now!" J'onn shouts. Brainy activates his device. The thing beeps slowly-- once, twice, three times.
Then
"The EMP has been delivered."
Alex surges into action. With sure, swift movements she uncaps the second syringe and plunges it into Lena's chest. Without waiting, she vaults onto the gurney, straddling Lena to begin delivering chest compressions.
"Alex..."
"We just have to keep her blood moving until the drugs kick in," Alex pants. Counting softly, she shoots a look to Nia. "Nia, rescue breaths, now."
Nia obeys without hesitation. Kara's tears spill over as she watches them work on Lena, unable to do anything more than stand idly by. As the minutes pass, Kara feels her hope dwindle.
"Brainy, the crash cart," Alex barks finally. She climbs off the stretcher while Nia breathes air into Lena's lungs. Brainy wheels the crash cart closer.
"Kara, let go."
"Alex--"
"Let go!"
Kara steps back, and Alex presses the paddles against Lena's torso. "Clear!"
Lena's body spasms as the current courses through her, only to fall limp when it stops. Alex presses two fingers to Lena's neck, seaeching for a pulse. Delivering another round of compressions, she then waits for Nia to perform the rescue breathing before shocking Lena again.
"Clear!"
Lena spasms again, and Kara has to turn away, covering her sobs with one hand. For a long moment, there's nothing but heavy silence before Alex calls out.
"I've got a pulse!"

Fair warning: it's a long post. Let's examine some of the reasons that Kara has cited why she didn't tell Lena the super secret:
1. She wanted to protect her
Now, this one has some legs on it as Kara specifically mentions it in S3 during a conversation with James and Mon-El. And there's definitely some truth to it. But it's also bullshit. Lena was in constant danger and put herself at risk to save/protect Kara who didn't actually need it. In fact, the first time Lena's mentioned (not shown just mentioned) it's in regards to the venture explosion - something that happened because Lex was trying to kill her. People have been trying to kill, kidnap, manipulate, threaten Lena since minute one. Knowing Kara = SG would not have severely worsened any of that. In fact, it might've helped ease Lena's anxieties and resulted in her taking less risks with her life. In fact, I'm surprised Lena didn't think that Kara's association with her was putting Kara at risk (a far more likely thing).
The 100th episode addresses this to some degree in one of the AUs. Lena tells Kara that she wouldn't have had to risk her life dealing with Sam/Reign alone if she'd known the truth and she's absolutely right. And sure, Lena could've told SG and the DEO when she pieced Reign = Sam together but ask yourself, why would she? What assurance did she have that the DEO would not have treated her BEST FRIEND like a hostile instead of someone in need of help? The DEO is guilty of this and they have a history of locking up aliens indefinitely and on occassion straight up murder. After Reign nearly killed their biggest asset (i.e. SG) why in the hell would Lena trust them with helping Sam? She wouldn't nor should she have. She didn't know that she could go to SG because remember, Lena doesn't think of her the same way she does of Kara. SG is not her best friend. She doesn't have a personal, humanized relationship with her (at least not that she knows of). And obviously she's not going to tell Kara the human reporter with the DEO agent sister about it either. And the kryptonite? SG lost her shit over it even though she's been working with the DEO who stockpiled the stuff until SM left with it (a dumbass move that would've bit them so hard in the ass with the WK situation if it weren't for Lena's kryptonite!). Plus, Kara didn't have an issue with Oliver having a kryptonite arrow, J'onn having a sword. But Lena? How dare she!
So yea no. I get that "I kept my secret to protect you" is a popular thing in the hero world but in the case of Kara and Lena, it doesn't make sense and it did make situations unnecessarily harder.
2. She didn't trust Lena
This is mentioned by Kara to William in a deleted scene from S5 but I think it's worth exploring. I'm not sure to what extent Kara means with this but it could be referring to the moments as SG where she did display a distrust of Lena's intentions and she used Lena's personal relationships against her (i.e. asking James to break into Lena's lab). I mentioned the S3 shitshow with the kryptonite which is where a lot of this started but there's also other scenes in that same season where SG pretty much calls into question the so-called trust she has in Lena despite claiming otherwise. The switch was so abrupt the minute she learned Lena not only had but knew how to make kryptonite. Did anyone ever consider why Lena would bother learning how to make kryptonite? I'd hazard a guess that it was something she was looking into even before Sam/Reign. I think she happened to find Lex's stock and she decided to learn how it works and why it affects the Supers like it does. That would explain how Lena seems to be the ONLY ONE able to make an anti-kryptonite suit and other viable forms of the rock (i.e. Harun el). But no, SG and others immediately jump to the worst conclusions and associate the endeavour with Lena's last name, something SG KNOWS Lena is sensitive about it. And then the harun el. SG was suddenly fine with Lena making it when it was to split Sam from Reign and save Argo from extinction. But when it was used for something else that Lena didn't clue her in on (and what do you know, Alex, Brainy and James didn't either and they KNEW what Lena was doing with it) she got back on her high horse and the distrust became front and centre. You can't trust Lena as Kara and then immediately distrust her as SG and expect her to be accepting of this dichotomy. I'm surprised the woman managed to retain her sanity.
And still, this reasoning doesn't quite hit the mark in comparison to every other insistence of Kara believing in Lena (from day one she even told Clark that she believed Lena after meeting her for the first time). But the contrasting opinions and actions must have given Lena pause. I don't blame her to call into question which version of the truth was real and choosing to believe the worst. It's what SG and the SFs have been doing to her.
3. She was wary of Lena
This isn't an explicitly given reason but I do think it's how the secret keeping started in S2. Frankly, I don't even blame Kara for not showing her full deck in the beginning because she (and even us as an audience) didn't know much about Lena beyond wanting to do good and not be like her family. So no, Kara not telling Lena in the beginning actually makes sense to me (though she told Nia in a split second but that's neither here nor there). For me, I started to seriously take Lena at her word after the Medusa episode. That would've been the perfect opportunity for her to show the true "xenophobic" colours some parts of the fandom accuse her of having and she didn't do it. I don't think she even got so much as a thank you for it. People praise SM for getting Lex arrested but ultimately it was Lena's testimony that got him thrown behind bars. Same thing with Lillian! And yes, the daxamite invasion was facilitated by Lena unwittingly working with Rhea but she fixed it with the lead dispersal bomb, a device she allowed SG the privilege of using or not. So Kara and the SFs being cautious about Lena really should've evaporated halfway through S2 (and it did for Kara at least). In fact, the daxamite invasion may not have happened if Lena knew exactly who Rhea was and her relation to Mon-El because they would've warned Lena about it. Lena did want Kara's advice on Rhea and she would've waited for it if she knew what was going on (i.e. Alex being held hostage) and hell, might've been able to fix it in typical Lena ex machina fashion.
4. She didn't want to lose her
This is probably as close to the truth as we've gotten and it's actually part of her confession in 5x01 (something her outburst in 5x19 tries to undo). But the thing is, Kara KNEW this was a possibility and yet, continued walking towards the deadly cliff with her eyes wide open. The probability of losing Lena got higher and higher as time went on and it was always inevitable. There was always this spotlight placed on Kara telling Lena or Lena finding out on her own but there was always a HUGE chance that Lillian would've told her. Or Lex, which is exactly what happened. And Kara knew that they knew and yet she did nothing about it. The minute kara found out Lillian knew she should've taken action, what guarantee did she have that Lillian wouldn't have gotten bored of waiting for Lena to piece it together? How can they just leave Lillian with dangerous knowledge like that is beyond me. When Alex in particular has made such a big deal about people knowing, didn't want Kara telling Lena, only allowed Kara to tell Lucy to save J'onn and yet, letting Lillian amble about with this info is okay??? Nothing was stopping her from telling Lena or it slipping during one their chess games and definitely nothing stopping Lex from dropping that bomb.
The 100th episode AUs showed us that each time it was Kara telling the truth, no matter how hurt and upset Lena rightfully was, she was ultimately fine with it. And Kara ends up losing her to death, not because Lena walked away. How this wasn't the takeaway message for Kara after that adventure, idk. It was Kara's hesitatancy in telling Lena that allowed Lex to weaponize this secret and twist it into something it never was. And yes, Kara doesn't owe a damn soul her secret and has rarely ever been given the chance to tell anyone on her own terms (James - told by SM, Alex, J'onn, Brainy, Mon-El, the Legion - always knew, Lex & Lillian, Lord & Cat - found out somehow). She only ever got to tell Winn, Lucy and Nia and I'm sorry but none of those people have ever proven themselves trustworthy at the time of the reveal the way Lena has.
So while Kara is every right to keep her secrets, she was wrong to insert herself in Lena's life if she never had any intention of telling her and let's be honest, it really didn't seem like Kara had any timeline on that front.
5. She was selfish
Similar to the above and also mentioned during the confession but this is even deeper. Lena was something of an outlet for Kara, a way to feel completely normal, something she hasn't been able to experience with anyone, even Mon-El. Can you imagine being a cub reporter who knows powerful CEO Lena Luthor and having said CEO choose to spend time with you? Choose to let you interview her when she's wary of the press (remember her interactions with Clark in 2x01 and her family history)? Choose to treat your problems as important and valid and human? I don't blame Kara at all for being selfish with Lena, for wanting to keep Lena all to herself like that. But to not share the other aspects of herself was seriously wrong too and resulted in this imbalance in their relationship. To Lena, it looks like she was giving all of herself when Kara was not. It looks like she put all her trust and vulnerabilities out there when Kara didn't. It looks like Kara was using her (which let's be real, she kinda did a few times in S2 with the fight club and bs article to get info on Lillian and then ofc the CatCo-Edge problem she visited Lena for after ignoring her and proceeding to continue the rejection after Lena said she'd look into it).
You think post-reveal Lena didn't think back to all those moments and have those kinda thoughts? Even called into question what might've been the real reason James dated her and Kara was so insistent on befriending her? Were there perhaps times were she figured it out and can't remember and what's why she chose not to see it? Why do we think she still showed up game night in 4x22 instead of confronting Kara? Because these thoughts amongst others must've been swarming her mind and the only way to keep the upper hand is to continue playing dumb. So yes, Kara made the conscious decision to be selfish with Lena because of the unexpected connection they forged and I get it totally. But Lena has never been selfish and she's always made hard efforts to be a damn good friend (and she was idc what others might think on that) and open herself up to Kara despite how difficult and frankly foreign that is for her.
So are Kara's reasons valid? To a point, I would say yes but their validity waned over the seasons to the point where the secret keeping didn't even make sense anymore.
So was Lena's anger valid? Yes! 100% it was and honestly, I'm surprised she managed to keep it together for so long. I couldn't. But her anger doesn't justify her actions (mind control, manipulating Kara, threatening Russell, holding J'onn's bro captive, putting Hope inside Eve) and how she went out of her way to hurt Kara back. However, I get why she did it though it's worth pointing out that this is the only instances of a betrayal in her life where Lena has gone this far. Bitch straight up spiralled where previously she would cut ties and move the fuck on with life. But with Kara, that doesn't even seem to manifest itself to Lena as an option. Will the show ever address the obvious WHY for this and for Kara being so so terrified of losing Lena (like honestly I have never seen Kara look more distressed).
Maybe, maybe not but regardless I'm not buying this platonic friends nonsense because no one is that devastated over a friendship. Many of us (myself included) have experienced falling outs with very close friends and breakups. Which one do you think the Kara/Lena rift in S5 felt like? It was full on heartbreak, loving someone in complete torment and not being able to stop despite wanting to because even though it's painful, the alternative is infinitely worse.
MB and KM's acting choices aside, these idiot showrunners have brought us to this point with their own narrative and the only logical next step is to make them canon.
Lol okay I'm done.

Supergirl 6x14 thoughts
So its been a hot minute since I posted anything of my own but I just have too many thoughts about this episode so get ready cuz this is probably gonna be long. I wanted to write this in chronological order but my memory isn’t great and I can’t remember exactly what happened when so fuck it. So let’s go:
- First off, it’s nice to see Lena at game night again but I am kinda upset that Brainy wasn’t in the episode at all. But nonetheless still a good start to the episode
- I thought when J’onn said that Lena’s affiliation with the Superfriends would not be revealed to William that that meant he wouldn’t know Lena’s was involved at all. But I guess I was wrong?? it was revealed almost immediately?? plus the fact that she had magic like??? I’m sorry did I miss a few chapters or something idk but anyway
- Loved that lil scene where Lena broke Nia brain lol. I like that they’re actually sticking to this friendship building between Nia and Lena, its nice to see. :)
- I understand that their entire mission of finding the totems is quite time sensitive but I really don’t think pressuring/rushing Lena into figuring out magic that she doesn’t fully understand yet was a wise decision on anyone’s part (like seriously how did no one have any concern for this)
- I am glad tho that when Kara and Lena had their disagreement that it was calm and mature. Really loving this healthy communication thing going on between them. Though I do wish we got to see how Kara got Lena to change her mind (I know Lena gave her reason but I don’t really buy it)
- Which reminds me of that Lena and William scene. Honestly I didn’t completely hate it, it actually had relevance to the plot and helped Lena with her issue so that was nice, I guess.
- Alex and Kelly had a couple nice (but short) scenes together which was good to see. Glad Alex finally got to meet Esme (*cough* her daughter *cough*), she’s always so soft with children I love it. And I guess Esme can breathe fire which is awesome but hopefully doesn’t cause many house fires in the future lol. And that ending scene with Dansen having a silent conversation was great, I can just see that they’re already planning to get adoption papers for Esme (or a fostering license first I’m not sure how the foster system works in the US).
- That Supercorp scene at the end just injected pure serotonin into my veins like FUCK YEAH. It was just so soft and domestic, I just can’t with them anymore like they’re literally having dinner together, just Kara and Lena without any of the other Superfriends, two episodes in a row. Is this even real rn?
- And then after that (or before I don’t remember) is the Andrea and William scene that just made me so mad. Like sure yeah, good for William for standing up to Andrea I guess but even though I consider this a good episode, the whole “William being imbedded with the Superfriends” thing is a stupid idea from the start. Like it’s truly so unnecessary, it’s just trying to shove William into a storyline to try to make him relevant to the plot but its just ridiculous. And freaking Andrea, don’t even get me started on her. I sorta liked her in the beginning when she was first introduced but now I just want her around even less that she already is, okay I get wanting to cover the Superfriends on like a celebrity level (get to know their personalities, values, likes and dislikes, y’know celebrity stuff) but straight up practically wanting to dox them is over the fucking line. The location of the Tower?! Revealing the identity of someone who has clearly stated their wish to remain anonymous!!?? And their fucking plan on how to defeat Nyxly?! Like are you actually dumb? Like- What- How could you not think that revealing any of that will backfire and make the Superfriends easy targets for their enemies, as well as jeopardise public safety. Just- God that made me so mad.
*sigh* sorry went on a lil rant there but I digress. This was an actually a quite enjoyable episode overall. It had good moments between certain pairings of characters, romantic and platonic. I hope that the rest of the episodes to come keep at the same level that it has the past couple episodes. But I think that’s all I have to say for this episode. I might have another post later just for my issue with what their doing with Andrea’s character cuz honestly she’s becoming more insufferable in recent episodes and it’s frustrating to witness. If I got anything wrong feel free to correct me, cuz I wrote this as my thoughts just pop into my head so... yeah. But that’s it.
Goodbye, for now.

Gloria, Jet-lags and Imps [6x11]
Tumblr media
Let’s jump right in:
Kinda love how Kara lamp-shaded addressed the fact she didn't tell the gang about her adventures in the PZ. She’s not wrong, tho.
...what do I want to say about Mxy using what's basically a well-known gay-anthem to tell his tale? I mean, it didn’t lead anywhere. The original song is about freeing oneself, liberation, stepping out of a (gone bad) relationship and moving on, stronger for it - empowerment. The only connection I could make, is that originally it was Nyxly’s aim to just do that (freeing herself and her kind from an oppressor), but in the way Mxy performed it, that part of the parallel was long over before he even reached the chorus. It’s also a popular Karaoke song, tho, so... he chose it because it’s catchy? I’ll try not to overthink it for now. At least, the Superfriend’s reactions were fun.
Nia exiting the elevator, "And what's this Old Stone?" I love it when ppl enter a room / situation and pick up on words that they couldn't have possibly heard. I think cinema sins ding such... Are we to assume, she dreamed Mxy's rendition of ‘I will survive’? Or is the elevator not sound-proof at all? (If it’s the latter, Nia later apparently telling Brainy “in private” between scenes / during the elevator ride about her Nyxly adventures, was a silly thing to do.)
So, "Jared" created the ring Old Stone to rule them all, it got shattered into the Paragons totems? Nyxly needs the totems and to get them she needs a crystal which also belonged to "Jared" - who happens to be Mxy's ancestor, which is why she needs Mxy / his blood, too.
I have one important and incredibly relevant question here, tho...
With the introduced imps and their names... Why’s dude named Jared of all things?!
Really, did I mishear that? If so, I’ll leave it as is and never edit, bc that would be hilarious in its own right 😋
...
Not sure what to make about Supergirl paraphrasing a Dirty Dancing quote.  "Nobody puts Mxy into a power crystal on my watch."  ...is he Baby now? (Seriously, though: Which of the writers thought that was a fitting quote to use in that particular context?)
...now, is the exposition section of the episode over yet?
Tumblr media
Sensitive Brainy sensed something was up with Nia. He can relate... Nia doubting Kara would understand, too, is ridiculous. But I get it... insecurities and all. But, I mean, just 5 minutes later Kara announces she wants to save Nyxly despite her wrongdoings. And yet Nia still remains convinced, Kara wouldn’t forgive her own personal mini-me... After having witnessed Kara forgiving Lena for a whole season of the writers being stupid messing up to the nth degree. But I digress, Lena’s Lena.
...how old is Nia meant to be again? Just asking out of completely unrelated curiosity.
Tumblr media
F*ck. They really went with NewFoundland...
Imma assume it was an executive choice after realizing they couldn’t find enough actors and actresses with a convincing Irish accent... maybe. Again, no offense to Newfoundland! Just... we got the insinuations of Ireland, not Newfoundland... And truthfully, when I think of magic, Ireland is an easy association. Whereas I only due to this whole debacle learned Newfoundland has Irish ancestry. So, okay, the show forced me to learn something new... I give ‘em that.
An easy journey, she said.
Lena's been off-screen for two whole episodes, Kara announcing at the beginning of ‘Dreamweaver’ [6x09] Lena being “back east” (at least insinuating Lena’s left the west-coast already), which span over at least one full day (feat. a scene at night), and ‘I still rise’ [6x10] at least another a whole day (the whole Nia’s mom back for a day deal). And, now, after at least 48 hours she barely just arrived.
Lemme check how long a regular plane would need to fly from California to NFL......... ... .. .. So... approx. 10 hours with at least one layover.
Yeah, using a private jet made it easier, but apparently also much, much slower...
Or, Lena randomly went some other places / did some sight-seeing in NFL before she decided to finally visit her mother’s hometown...  [Either that or the timelines don’t match up and Lena’s scenes are flashbacks of sorts.]
Tumblr media
Optimistic and relaxed Lena is a sight to behold. I rewound 3 times, just to enjoy it for as long as possible. We all knew it was going to be short-lived...
Let’s check off a few more items...
OMG, Kara hiding behind Alex at the mere sight of the PZ-projector broke my heart!  😢
"Elisabeth Walsh" is the new 'the one you shall not name'. ...poor Lena. 😭
Oh, so Mxy wants to be Patrick Swayze instead of Baby... gotcha.
...is this going anywhere?
KITTY!!! Okay, this must be the best opponent in the history of CWSG.
Despite the horrible CGI, SG using her heat-vision to project a laser-beam to distract the cat had me in (happy-) tears! 🤣
Tumblr media
Gotta love the civilians of National City quickly returning to business as usual once the giant cat is gone. Even the police officers looked rather chill...
Nyxly did look fabulous this episode ^^
Andrea being Lena's rock is both great and annoying. I can't fault Andrea. It's just, that we still have to see an on-screen interaction between Lena and Kara and that bugs the heck out of me. I can’t help it. I’m sorry, Andrea.
Nia: "...is my fault." Kara: "Nu, is MY fault!" J'onn: "Stop fighting, kids!" Space-dad has spoken.
Mxy used an LuthorCorp copy machine... and of cos it's faulty. It's not an L-Corp product.
Kara forgiving Nia came as a surprise to her... Oooookay. I mean, the show has been writing Kara a bit inconsistently the past two seasons... so, yeah, maybe being unsure which of her traits apply this week was not such a far stretch...
Tumblr media
Maybe it's the hair, but I wished, Florence was played by Alex Kingston.
So, not-Alex-Kingston shows Lena herself with a funny wig and tells her how her mother was still watching her...
If it wasn't for Katie's acting skills (I love her.) I would have already hit my head against the wall repeatedly. Something about these scenes had me constantly cringe and I made it through 5.5 seasons of this show already... Can’t quite put my finger on it, but it was highly distracting from the story that explained Lena’s mom was special even to another witch, where there was domestic abuse, and an accidental murder. Y’know, important stuff, deep-cutting stuff!
At least, poor widddle Lena got some closure there. Elisabeth was a good cookie. And filled with magic. And Lena’s gotta have that ‘spark’, too...
....so... Lena’s gonna stay in NFL for how much longer, to train becoming a witch?  Please, just hand her a how-to manual and send her back home, to figure it out on her own, please... (Yes, that would be horrible decision-making, but I need her back with the team!)
On to the finish line:
So... Mxy IS Nyxly's brother? Wait, that doesn’t sound right... then Nyxly would have the same blood... Did I miss something? Can someone explain, please? Or is he her ex, and that’s where his rendition of “I will survive” makes sense?
Hnn... I can't help, but think Kara's speech for Nyxly was 85% based on her experiences with Lena in s05.
Awww... he said "stronger together"... Mxy... I hope, you'll be okay!
Lena believes in magic now. And I absolutely love how Lena wants to science magic XD
...but apparently magic isn’t science that hasn’t been explained yet, but parallel... powers? concepts? ether strings?
Nyxly has a loyal henchman now. Which was a bit heavy-handed. Took way too much of screen-time, so it better leads to something interesting.
And Kara is on a warpath now. Wooooot! Girl’s got enough.
...what else?
Did I miss a third Patrick Swayze hint / quote / mention?  I learned, these things come in threes... Y’know, basic writing rules...
I guess, for once the episode title was meant to be taken literally, Mxy popping up between characters, to try and help. (I need in-show footage, of Mxy sneaking up on ppl, without his powers, on all fours / crouched, just to get the desired effect.) I mean, I’ve never really watched Malcom, but wasn’t he like what Mxy usually is? A bit of a trouble-maker, prankster, chaos-ensuing wherever he goes? ...well, in that case, the episode title didn’t hold up, as Mxy’s scenes were not fun or really goofy. Yes, there was some superficial humor, but just to serve Mxy dealing with not being able to use his powers, which in turn was only barely scratched at (although it turned out to be his final character development crisis, appreciating not having powers and - in turn - facing consequences for once). Again, a whole lot going on in the episode, so a lot of that may have ended up on the cutting-room floor.
...where’s Kelly? Secretly adopting a kid, maybe?
...Kara’s still a reporter, right? I mean, whenever it serves the immediate plot, yes? ...Not even a throw-away line, that she has to pop up at CatCo for appearances sake? Since Andrea is already upset with her AND looking into her friends’ identities? At least, Kara should take a peek to make sure Andrea hasn’t uncovered anything yet... No?
Well, that’s all I’ve got for now. Kue out.

Angels to Devils
Tumblr media
Summary: A possible assassination attempt success.
A/n: My headcanon Supercorp family. With the twins Lucas and Liam, and you the oc Lauren. Sorry in advance
Warning: Blood, Heavy Injuries, ANGST
Supercorp, Kara Danvers x Reader, Lena Luthor x Reader
Word Count: 2136
Lena usually loved waking up to mornings, Kara by her side and the world so still and quiet that nothing can ruin it. The past few days have been rough. It was another reminder that Lena had something someone else couldn’t have. Another day.
Lena’s eyes filled with tears, her stream of tears flowed into her ear and soaked the pillow. Kara wasn’t awake but Lena held onto her like she was a lifeline. Kara stirred and was immediately awoken to hug her wife.
The casts she wore restricted her movements. Kara was careful to not hurt Lena.
“It’s today isn’t it.” Lena nodded as Kara fought her tears.
You didn’t have a normal childhood, anyone with a Luthor and a Super as parents wasn’t normal. Although it wasn’t normal you knew you were loved.
You were every bit like Lena whereas Liam and Lucas were every bit like Kara. It never really bothered you that you didn’t have powers because without their powers you can easily defeat them in hand-to-hand combat.
To say Lena was proud is an understatement, she was on the sidelines raising her fists, and screaming “Go get Em’ baby!” While Lucas, Liam and Kara flushed red.
It was midsummer before your first quarter at M.I.T , you were partaking in Lena’s work days. Paperwork, meetings and your favorite lab times.
“Ren, I need you to raise the levels to 80%.” Lena watched with a tablet in her hands.
“It is actually on full power already.” You smiled.
Lena faced you before moving her head towards her tablet. “Normally I would lecture you on testing protocols but it works!” Lena placed her tablet down and squeezed you in a hug. “We have successfully made a new renewable and efficient energy source.”
“We also very much stole technology from Argo,” you laughed.
“Don’t ruin the moment.” Lena chuckled, moved back and held your head in between her hands. “My little scientist, you will do great things in the future.” Lena kissed your forehead.
“I think I’d have to start with preventing grey hair without dyes.” You joked.
Lena glared. “Okay smarty pants. You can write the report.”
You groaned as Lena smirked. “Do I have to?”
“This is only practice for the future sweetheart. Plus I have to make sure all the Pauls don’t pull out of any mergers.”
“Ugh those skeezebag lawyers, sometimes I wish I had heat vision.” Your hand shook as if you were preventing yourself from choking someone.
“Careful there,” Lena raised an eyebrow “you sound like a Luthor.”
You grabbed the tablet out of your mother’s hands and pulled the stool in front of the computers. “I hate to burst your bubble but I’m a Luthor and a Super, if you have a problem with that the door is behind you.” You replayed with a teasing tone.
“Okay I really have to go deal with Paul now, behave.” Lena sighed.
“C’mon mama I’m not Lucas.” You began to type several results into the computer.
“Good thing your brother didn’t hear that.” Lena hugged you before heading towards the door. “I’ll see you later. Love you.”
“Love you too mama, more than I love Jeju.” Lena’s heart melted. That was something she was going to brag to Kara about.
Lena sat in the conference room, calm and collected when she really wanted to rip her hair out. She could tell that the other females in the room were feeling the same. The CEO was glad that Sam spoke up about wasting time and had ended the meeting with the final merge successful.
Sam and Lena walked out of the conference room towards the elevator. When the door dinged opened they were met with a smile and an armful of Lena’s things.
“Hi baby, did you finish the report?” Lena hugged you and grabbed her purse.
“I got bored,” You shrugged “And Aunt Sam said you were close to ripping out hair that wasn’t grey.”
“So you texted my daughter?” Lena raised her eyebrows at Sam.
“For someone who is a genius you’re missing out on the fact that your daughter just said I contacted her.”
“She texted the Spoiled group chat.” Lena gave a questioning glance at the group name.
“The group chat with Aunt Sam and the rest of the Superfriend’s Legacies.”
“I’m the cool Aunt,” Sam smirked. “But now go have fun with the rest of your day off, promise you’ll tell great stories?” Sam hugged you. “And keep your mom away from work, this was really meant to be her day off.”
“Of course! Bye Aunt Sam!” You waved as she left the elevator. “Do I get to drive home?”
“Absolutely not!”
“So I get to help in the lab, but I can’t drive home.” You reasoned as you both walked to the underground garage. “I get to pick the music then?”
You raced towards the passenger seat. You closed the door behind you and locked it immediately. Lena pulled on the door handle and pressed on the keys to unlock the car. You once again locked the car which earned the famous Luthor eyebrow raise.
Lena entered the car as you laughed at her. You knew she wouldn’t be able to keep the silent treatment for much longer.
“I’m sorry, it’s fun to mess with you and Jeju. I’ll make it up to you by playing your old music.” You said as you placed your phone on a magnetic Bluetooth connector and played an *NSYNC song.
“*NSYNC is not old!” Lena drove out of the underground packing.
“Mama, you’re 51. NSYNC is 49 years old. Half a century! It’s old.”
“I’m gonna pretend like you didn’t say that!” Lena said as she raised the volume and belted out the lyrics.
It doesn't matter,
'bout the car I drive or the ice around my neck
All that matters,
Is that you recognize that it’s just about respect (oh)
“It’s all about respect mama,” you teased.
“It better be, I’m a Luthor.” You both laughed.
The car came to a stop at the intersection on Main Street and Cordova. Lena drummed on the steering wheel and sung the chorus. You grabbed a water bottle and held it as a mic.
“Do you ever wonder why, this music gets you high?” The two sang.
The car jolted forward with a loud crash. You groaned at the burn at your neck. A sharp hiss rendered quiet with screeching tires and a horn.
A huge blow hit the car. Suddenly the car tilted towards the ground. An immense weight thrown onto you, with glass sprinkling down. Yours and Lena’s heads whipped side to side as the car flipped several times.
Shallow breaths threatened the immense silence that floated through the street.
~Lena’s POV~
A warm liquid bounced off my cheek. The cold cement acted as my bed. I didn’t have to look to know my left leg and left arm broke. I looked around trying to register what had happened.
My heart threatened to jump out of my chest, as I witnessed my daughter’s soft hand stained red and dangled limply above me. She was suspended above me, a bone or two protruded out of her side. The only thing that stopped her from falling was the seatbelt.
“Lauren baby,” My own voice unrecognizable and unsteady.
I turned to the watch on my left arm, there it sat shattered. I reached towards Lauren’s bloody hand that had her super watch. I flipped open the watch, relieved when her pulse thumped faintly.
A soft thud landed in front of the windshield. I knew it was Kara and J’onn.
“Lena! Lauren!” I heard my wife call.
The car lifted and more of Lauren’s blood flowed onto the seat, compartment and my clothes.
“Wait no no no! The car is applying pressure to one of Lauren’s wounds.”
“I can phase in, apply pressure and get her out. Where are her injuries?”
There was a moment of silence before Kara answered. “Two of her ribs are broken, her right forearm fractured, lower back spinal injury, her other arm is dislocated, broken ankle, t-the seatbelt cut her stomach.”
“I’ll get her to the D.E.O.”
J’onn glowed red and flew through the car. The Martian lifted my daughter like a feather and vanished through the top.
The car flipped up right and I could only groan in response.
“I’ve got you. I’ve got you.” Kara carried me delicately.
~3rd POV~
Supercorp landed on the D.E.O balcony. Kara guided Lena into the MedBay. However they were met with teary eyed Superfriends. Alex had tears pooled in her eyes, Nia sobbed, as J’onn stared into space. Brainy was left to share the bad news.
“You may want to sit down for this.” Brainy waited for Kara and Lena. “Lauren’s injures were very...severe, she also had internal injuries. She didn’t make it.”
Lena froze, she pushed off the bed. “No, no she can’t, she can’t be dead! Where is she?” She stepped with her broken leg and collapsed into Kara’s arm.
“Mrs. Luthor-Danvers we need to tend to your wound.” Dr. Hamilton said from the door.
“You will not! Not until I see my daughter!”
“Bring her a wheelchair,” Alex ordered.
In the D.E.O morgue, a few morticians cleaned Lauren’s body. Two stitched up her body as one cleaned the blood off the youngest Luthor-Danvers’ skin.
“Give Lena and Supergirl space.” The three morticians stepped out of the room.
Lena was wheeled onto one side and Kara stood on the other. Lauren was still warm. Kara held onto her daughter’s hand. She didn’t realize how deafening it was to not hear your heart.
The two parents sobbed. Lena caressed her daughter’s cheek. “I am, I am so sorry baby. You... you had so much more to look forward to. Jeju and I will always love you. Always.” Lena whispered and kissed your forehead. “Always.” Tears rolled down Lena’s cheeks.
Dr. Hamilton rolled Lena into the operating room.
“Little one,” Kara sobbed. She remained there until Lucas and Liam walked through the doors.
The twins were off on a college baseball retreat, and wore their red sun braclets. They received a call from Alex and had to realistically take a 2 hour plane ride back.
“Jeju,” The two boys whispered and hugged Kara. “Is mom okay?”
“She’s okay.”
“Kara, Lena is in recovery.” Alex said from the door. Kara nodded and headed back towards the MedBay.
“Lauren,” Liam whispered. “How I wish you were just sleeping.”
“I love you, Ren. Thank you for pushing me to the best I could be. Wouldn’t have been able to be Lucas Luthor-Danvers without you.” Lucas cried.
“Don’t worry about us okay, we will be okay.” Liam wiped his tears away.
Everyone of Kara’s friends and family sat on top of a hill that looked over National City. The Legends, Team Flash, Team Arrow, The Bat Family, Lucy Lane, Kal-El’s family, Sam and Ruby, Superfriends and your cousins were there.
Eliza flew in from Midvale a couple of days ago, Alura landed on Earth an hour ago and even Lillian was there in honor of her granddaughter.
Lillian was furious that your death was cause by an assassination attempt on Lena. She had pulled up security cameras and tracked the man who purposefully hit Lena’s car.
Lauren laid in a red pod and floated next to her designated tree. Everyone was given a chance to say something about you.
Kara talked about hearing your first heartbeat, Lena on helping her in the labs. Liam about how you were able to keep him and Lucas out of trouble. Lucas focused on the last midnight talk the two of you shared. Alex shared how you were a fighter.
J’onn shared your last thoughts, he shifted into your form. “I’m scared to leave this world not because I am afraid of death but because I’m scared of leaving everyone I love behind. I don’t regret anything because of everyone I had in my life.” Other cute moments were shared before Kara started The Prayer for the Dead.
She moved her hand over the pod. The House of El symbol glowed and the glass of the pod became transparent. Kara took a deep and shaky breath.
“You have been the sun of our lives. Our prayers will be the sun that lights your journey home.” Kara released another shaky breath and looked towards the horizon. “We will remember you in every dawn and await the night we join you in the sky.” Kara’s eye glistened. “Rao’s will be done.” She finished in Kryptonian.
Alura pushed the pod and it slowly flew higher and further into the horizon. Lena pinned a sign on a tree that read:
Lauren Luthor-Danvers

Puppy Love
Pair: Satori Tendou x gn!reader
Genre: fluff
Content: cuteness
Word Count: 985
Summary: A puppy's love is all it takes for you to feel better after a shitty day.  However, it seems a certain person is willing to give the same affection.
Tumblr media
Everyone would always have shitty days.  Then the next day they'll eventually be able to forget.  That's what you also believe in; however, not today.  Today is the shittiest day you could ever get through.  You only just found out that the person who called your best friend has been the one spreading those rumors that has been ruining your everyday life.
You do not know how to feel about it.  For a moment you just felt numb about it.  The person you trusted is actually the person you shouldn't even give an ounce of trust to.  You have no other person to talk to about this, so all the overwhelming emotions eventually built up on you.
Instead of using the small elevator, you used the big staircase placed in the middle of the building as its main feature.  Going up to the sixth floor probably is the best way to remove more of the overwhelming emotions but it just came back to you.  As a result, you just sat at the top of the staircase.
"That's some plot twist," you chuckled bitterly.
You let the silence linger, until you suddenly feel a cold wet thing on your shoulder.  You turn to find a puppy golden retriever licking your arm.  A smile immediately plasters your face.
"Where did you come from, sweetie?" You said as you pet the puppy.  The puppy continuously wags its tail as it looks at you.  You can't help just melt at the cuteness of the puppy.  For a moment your worries melt away as this puppy gave this unconditional love.
"Aren't you just adorable," you carry the puppy practically just taking in its cuteness.  The puppy keeps wagging its tail and licking your face.
"Oh...there you are, little boy," a man's voice interrupts.
You turn and look up to see a red-haired man looking at the two of you with a wide smile.
"This is your puppy?" You asked as you stood up still carrying the puppy.
"Yeah, I kinda accidentally left the door open," he nervously chuckled.  You then jand the puppy to him.  You got a glance up close to him and you are not sure if he's just blushing for a moment.
"You're lucky I was just sitting in the staircase," you said with a smile and gave the puppy one last pat.
He smiles wider. "Thank you for that.  I'm Satori Tendou," he lightly bows.
"Y/n.  Though, I have to thank your puppy.  He made my day better," you smiled.
"I'm glad he did.  He did his job well," he scratches the puppy's head giving him a wag on the tail.
"Truth be told," he looks up at you with sort of curious eyes.
You raise your eyebrows in anticipation.
"I may have sort of seen you feeling down when I was supposed to go out to throw the trash.  So, I may have kinda asked this little one to cheer you up," he said with a much brighter smile.  For a moment, you may have found a similarity between the puppy and Satori which you found...cute.  The owner and the dog have that bright personality to cheer people up.
Then, again...you just met him.  It's a bit too fast to already say he's a nice person, you think.  Besides, you just thought your best friend is actually your best friend when in fact she's not.
"I'm...surprised you took back what you said about accidentally leaving the door open," you narrow your eyes.
"Well, what's better? The lie or the truth?"
"Valid question," you chuckled.  For a moment, you suddenly felt warm and freeing upon talking to this man who is apparently your neighbour.  You've seen him from time to time when you work, but there hasn't really been much conversation going on between the two of you.
"You know...an ice cream and a stroll always makes me feel better," he tilts his head to the side.
"Ah, well...it's kinda late.  I don't want to walk alone," you beam a nervous smile.
"The three of us can walk together.  I need to take him out for a potty anyway.  Then we can eat ice cream along the way," he giddily replied to you.  You blink at the sight of the puppy and Satori having the same expression of anticipation.  Something you do not see everyday.  It honestly just makes you feel like nothing is entirely wrong in the world.
"Well...if you two insist, I would love to," you said with a soft smile.
"YES! Okay! Hold on.  Lemme just get a little boy's leash," he quickly runs back to his apartment and goes back in no time with his puppy on a leash.
"Okay, we're ready," he said with that kid-like expression on his face.
"Aren't you just adorable," The words just literally slip in your lips and late to realize that it was loud enough for him to hear.  He freezes and his eyes widen for a moment.
"I-I- I mean the puppy.  The puppy's um...adorable.  Yes,"
Satori laughs and cheekily smiles yet with a blush on his cheeks. "Oh come on, you can't take it back.  That comment was supposed to be for me," he teased.
You shake your head and giggle at this little incident.  "Suit yourself," you said, not giving him the satisfaction and turn to press on the elevator.
You never knew it could happen.  You never knew that you can instantly be happy after having the most horrible day in your life. And maybe you believed on that night stroll with Satori and Little boy that there would be people who would leave you and there would be people who would come to your life and stay there beside you.
You are glad that he arrived just on time and you knew then that you are happier than you were before.

Wait until the morning light (we'll all be alright) [On AO3]
Written for Buckley Siblings Week Day One: “I need you.” “I’m on my way.” + hurt
.
Maddie held her daughter close to her chest and resisted the urge to cry.
Her head was killing her, her whole body ached, and her daughter would not stop screaming.
Maddie had quite literally tried everything.
"Shh, baby,  I know, I know; you're tired. I'm tired, too, but we need to stick together, right, Rosie?" She bounced the three month old up and down gently, making sure not to move her too much.
She didn't stop screaming.
Chimney was at work, and he still had about eight hours until his shift ended, so she couldn't call him. That just left her with Buck, who was at home, recovering from a pretty serious concussion he'd suffered on the job a few days ago, so, even though she was desperate, she couldn't call him.
"Alright, baby, you and mommy and going to sleep now, okay?"
They did. For one blissful hour, after she'd fed her daughter, they'd both slept. When she woke up, the full body ache was somehow worse, and not a second later, her daughter woke up with a piercing cry.
And Madddie caved.
Her brother picked up on the second ring. "Buck."
"Mads? Maddie, what's going on?"
"Can you come over? I need you."
"I’m on my way," was his immediate answer.
He got there in fifteen minutes, and when she opened the door, his eyes widened. She didn't blame him.
They must make quite the sight. Maddie's hair was a mess, her shirt was stained and her eyes must be red from the crying. Rosie was whimpering into her chest, and Maddie just knew, any second now, she would start up the crying again.
Buck pulled her into a hug, and she leaned her weight on him, and allowed her eyes to close for a few seconds.
"Jesus Maddie, you're sick?"
She pulled away and frowned. "No, I'm just tired."
"You have a fever," he retorted. He gently took his niece from her arms, and, miraculously, she didn't protest too much and definitely didn't start crying. In fact, she seemed to actually settle in his arms.
Tears pricked her eyes again, and her lips trembled. "I'm a horrible mother," she cried, watching her brother soothe her daughter in a way she hadn't been able to today.
Buck stared at her incredulously. "You're not serious," he told her flatly.
She shook her head and let the tears fall. "I can't do anything right! Buck, I'm a failure."
Buck pulled her by the arm to the couch and sat her down. "You're tired and you're sick. What you're not, is a bad mother, Maddie."
"I am," she hissed quietly. "Look at her! She's about to fall asleep in your arms, Buck. Minutes after you got here. I only managed to put her down for an hour, and even then, she woke up crying. I'm-"
She was pulled back into his arms, and he let her cry into his chest without saying anything. When she pulled away, he looked her dead in the eye.
"You're sick, and exhausted, and she could probably sense that. The more upset you were, the more upset she was too. I know you know this, Maddie." She nodded reluctantly and wiped her eyes. "She's a really happy baby, but she's still a baby. And babies cry. You're not a failure because your baby cried."
Tears sprung into her eyes at his words, and for once today, they weren't sad tears.
"And hey! You practically raised me, and I turned out okay, right?"
"You turned out amazing," she hastened to tell him. "But I'm not sure how much I had to do with that."
"A lot," he told her firmly, and silence her with a look when she opened her mouth to protest. "Now, I need you to go take a shower, or at least change, because you stink-" she punched him in the arm. "-eat, and take some Tylenol, okay? Take as long as you need, we'll be right here."
The knot in her chest loosened. "You sure?"
"Absolutely." He made himself comfortable, and the sight of her daughter snuggled up on his chest, both of them looking content as ever, made her smile.
She did as she was told and when she emerged from her bedroom, feeling better already, they were in the same position she left them, though Buck was now on his phone.
She made to sit beside him but he put his hand on her back and pushed forward. "Food," he told her when she glared at him.
"I'm not hungry," she whined.
"Too bad. Now go," he pointed at the kitchen.
"Don't make a habit out of this attitude, little brother."
He rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah."
.
"Thank you," she whispered to him as she curled up into him. "For being here when we needed you. I know you're still tired."
"I'll always be here for you two, Maddie." Her head dropped onto his shoulder, and she sighed. She put a hand on her daughter's back and stroked it.
"You're gonna make a great dad someday."
"I don't know about that."
"I do," she told him confidently. "I see the way you are with Rosie, with Christopher. I see how Nia, Denny and Harry seem to adore you. You'll be an amazing dad."
She heard a sniffle, then he pressed a kiss to her head. "Thank you for saying that."
"I mean it," she insisted.
"I know."
.
She didn't know when it happened, but she managed to drift off into a restful sleep and only woke up when Howie shook her awake. "Hi," he whispered, pressing a kiss to her head. "Heard you weren't feeling well?"
"Buck told you?"
He cracked a smile. "Buck told me. Why didn't you say anything?"
She shrugged. "I honestly didn't notice I was sick. I just thought I was tired."
He opened his arms and she fell into his embrace, happy to be in his arms after the day she'd had. "Hey, look at this," he whispered, unlocking his phone. She sat up beside him. He opened the gallery and clicked on the last picture.
Maddie grinned and took a closer look. Buck was holding both her and Rosie. Her daughter seemed so small sleeping peacefully against his chest as his hand covered her entire back. Maddie herself was holding onto his arm, while his face was buried in her hair.
Her chest hurt with all the love she held for her family. She leaned back into Chimney's chest and closed her eyes. "Let's sleep a little more."
He leaned back against the couch and made them both comfortable, and his arms tightening around her.
Soon enough, they were both asleep.
.
Maddie tried to lift her daughter out of Buck's arms gently, but the minute she was gone from his arms, Buck jolted awake. "Wha- Hey, Mads, what's going on?"
"Nothing, go back to sleep."
"Rosie?" He muttered sleepily.
"I'm gonna put her in her crib, alright?"
He nodded and sat up.
When she was back, he was trying to put on his jacket, but was failing. She bit back an amused smile and hurried over to him to help him put it on. "How are you going to go home?"
"Called an uber."
"Are you sure you don't want to stay?"
"Your couch is tiny," he teased.
She rolled her eyes. "It's a normal size. You're just a giant."
He rolled his eyes. "Whatever. You're just bitter." He opened her door. "I'll see you tomorrow."
"Buck, you don't have to-" he silenced her protest with a look and she smiled, and put a hand on his arm. "Thank you," she mumbled.
"You don't have to thank me, Mads."
"Yes, I do," she argued. "I don't know what I'd do without you, Buck."
He pulled her into a warm hug. "Well, lucky for you; you'll never have to find out."

Halloween gone wrong- Part 2
A beeping sound, it was so annoying. You tried to ask for it to be turned off, but you couldn’t speak. You couldn’t move or couldn’t open your eyes. You could hear the beeping sound and voices. They probably gave you a paralyzing drug, you could feel the breathing tubes they had you in. But you felt so tired your body grew heavy and sleep took over again.
You hear the same beeping sound, this time more clearly and you can feel the stuff they gave to paralyze you was staring to wear off and you were trying to kick off the sheets, you hate having your feet covered. But when you open your eyes and tried to wiggle your feet, you could hear someone calling for a doctor or nurse and ratting you out that you were waking up. Someone gave you something again because after just a couple of minutes you could feel yourself fading out and you were so frustrated at not being able to uncover your feet.
It was Alex who administrated something into your IV. You could barely distinguish her voice, but the medication took over rapidly.
Alex: “we need to have her under sedation a little longer and keep the treatment and oxygen at 100%. Her saturation dropped to critical levels we need her on the ventilator for at least another 24 hours.”
Kara: “I know, but I just want to see her and talk to her. I hate seeing her like this. She was trying to move her feet. I forgot she hates having her feet covered. So, I´ll just moved the sheets now” – The blonde woman moves to uncover y/n feet and sits down next to her baby sister again, grabs her hand and rubs the back of it with her thumb.
Alex: “Oh! I did too. Maybe that’s why she was moving her feet so much. This kid and her damn hot feet. She is always feeling cold, but her feet are always outside the covers”- the red head woman walks to the other side of the bed and runs her fingers on your
The older Danvers looks down at y/n with soft smiles.
You can’t know how long it’s been, but you feel yourself waking up once again. This time you are meet with the sight of both your sisters. Kara’s baby blues filling with tears and Alex smiling fondly.
Kara: “hey sweet girl, welcome back”
Alex: “good morning baby girl, we missed you”
You tried to speak but couldn’t. You felt the tubes
Alex: “hold on baby, I’m going to take out the breathing tube. You’re going to take a deep breath and then cough while I remove the tube, okay?”, on three. One, two ...three. you take a deep breath.
You cough and feel a burning sensation while the tube is being removed and then Alex places an oxygen mask on your face.
Alex: “Easy, Easy. Slow breaths and don’t try to speak just yet”
Kara: “here baby , eat some ice chips. It will help with the sore throat”- you sister hand feeds you a spoonful with ice chips that soothes your throat and you hum in appreciation.
Y/n: “thank you”- your voices sounding very raspy.
You were about to ask how long you’ve been out, but Kara knows that’s what you are about to ask.
Kara: “you’ve been out for 60 hours and this morning we moved you from the intensive care unit. You gave us quite the scare there little one”- Kara says choking a little on her words.
Alex  : “We lost you for a little bit , I’ve never been so scared in my life. We are so thankful you’re here with us. But baby, we need to talk. We almost lost you for a very dumb accident. You didn’t have your inhaler or emergency meds”. - Alex gets emotional and also has trouble speaking without her voice breaking.
Y/n: “I’m sorry” - you shed a few tears feeling awful for making your sisters suffer.
Alex; “We know, and we are not mad. We are so happy you came back to us. We can wait until you’re better. Just focus on getting better. I’ll keep monitoring your levels and oxygenation and if its good enough we can take you home later today, Okay?”
You nod and smile at your sister’s eyes growing heavy once again. You reach out with grabby hands trying to get Kara to snuggle with you, to which  the blonde woman complies immediately by climbing into the bed next to you and you pretty much crawl you way into her arms to feel her warmth. You were feeling cold and you knew Kara would keep you warm. You lay your head on her chest and she circles your waist and holds you near without disturbing the I.V in your arm.  Alex makes sure you are settled down okay and administrates something into your I.V, she then turns to you and caresses your face and temple and leans down to kiss your forehead.
Alex: “you can go to sleep baby”
Kara: “I got you munchkin, you close your eyes and sleep some more if you are tired. We are not going anywhere okay?” – you nod your head against your sister chest and just hum in agreement. Kara begins to hum a song to help you relax and fall asleep. You can hear heels clicking against the floor. Lena, you think.
You are almost asleep when you feel cool fingers and then warms lips placing a kiss to your forehead.
Lena: “hi sweet girl, I missed you. Sleep now”
You just smile at her and you close your eyes.
You feel warm and content. You are resting on something soft and firm, the more aware you become you realized that you are laid with you face on Kara neck and she has her arms around you. You are cozy and snuggled into your blonde sister.
Kara “good morning munchkin, sleep alright?
y/n: “hmmm”-you nod in approval, but you only snuggle more into your sister side.
you hear a chuckle but is not from Kara, you open your eyes and you see sparkling green eyes looking at you from the chair next to the bed.
Lena: “hello sweet girl, nice to see those beautiful eyes once again. How are you feeling darling?” -the green-eyed woman traces her fingers down your temple
y/n: “good, tired though” you give a small yawn and then you smile at Lena.  “where’s lexie?”
Alex: “right here, and look who I found?” – your big sister enters the room followed by a smiling Nia carrying a huge teddy bear and then you’re  eyes go wide at the sight of someone you haven’t seen in a very long time. Maggie Sawyer, who is carrying a small white box and a baby monkey plushy in her hands.
Nia” Oh my gosh y/n we were so scared, I’m so glad you awake now”- the quirky woman stands next to you and Kara and gives you a hug after Kara helps you into a sitting position. Nia hands you a huge fluffy teddy bear.
y/n: “Hi Nia, thank you he is cute” You give her a hug and smile and then you turn to brunet detective. - “Maggie?”
Maggie: “Hello Baby Danvers. I was in town and heard what happened to my favorite Danvers and I had to come by and see you little bean. Here I brought your favorite cupcakes and a baby monkey. Its so adorable it reminded me of you”
You tear up at seeing the brunette detective; you love Maggie dearly; she is an amazing woman and the two of you were inseparable. After she and Alex broke up you felt very sad but you kept in touch with her. However, its been a very long time since you last saw each other and right now it felt like too much and your emotions where all over the place.
The short brunet noticing your tears leans into you to give a big hug and you cling to her. You really missed her.
y/n: “I missed you so much Maggie. It so good to see you. “
Maggie: “I missed you too kid. I’m so sorry it took me so long to visit. But I’m so glad you’re okay. You gave everyone quite the scare.” -the detective says softly to your ear. Then she kisses your cheek and dries your tears with her thumbs- “No more tears baby D”
y/n: “I can’t help it, I really missed you Maggs”- you sniffle a bit more and take the offered box and monkey
Alex: “wow! I remember the time when I was the favorite Danvers”
Maggie and Kara laugh at that- “yeah sorry Danvers, but you know baby D was always the favorite”
Kara: “yeah I would be offended too if it wasn’t for the fact that y/n is so adorable I can’t really argue with you Maggie. It so good to see you and for you to stop by” – the detective leans into Kara and gives her a hug.
Maggie: “Its good to see you too little Danvers. And of course, I was coming. I was visiting anyways just never expected under such circumstances.”
The group in the med room spend a little while catching up with you and making sure you were doing alright and on the mend. you felt happy at having such amazing people on your corner and wanted to hear everything they have been doing, but you began to tire out and they noticed. Your eyes were droopy and you barely awake.
Maggie and Nia said their goodbyes and promise you to visit once you were back at your home. Maggie did mention she was going to be in National City for a couple of weeks and you tow would definitely be doing some serious catching up.
Once everyone was gone, Alex did a final checkup assisting of Doctor Hamilton to make sure you were good to go.
Dr. Hamilton: “everything looks good. I´ll get your prescription filled. You need follow the instructions I’m giving Alex and I’m also recommending one week of bed rest.” – you were about to argue you felt alright and you had work to do.  “And no arguing or I will make it two weeks” – the doctor added in serious tone.
Alex: “Don’t worry I will make sure she follows the instruction to a T, and you young lady are not going anywhere. I already spoke with your boss and she made the proper arrangements during your medical absence.
Kara: “Yeah don’t worry munchkin, you just relax and let us pamper you for a few days okay? we are entitled”
Y/N: “Fine, but I’m getting all the junk food I want, of that I am entitled” – you huff and slump back into your sister front crossing your arms and pouting like a petulant child.
Kara: “of course you are cutie. You look like a chipmunk” – the blonde woman presses her hands on your cheeks laughing at your pouting lips and cheeks puffin like a tiny chipmunk.
Alex: “Alright kiddo, let me get your meds and Kara can you please help her into the clothes on the duffle bag. I’ll be back in a moment”- your big sister leans down and kisses your forehead.
Dr. Hamilton: “Very well, get well y/n. See you soon, but for lunch and no medical assistance”- the doctor says kindly and smiles down at you.
Y/N: “Thank you Doctor Hamilton”
The women leave the room, while Kara helps you into some sweatpants and lose shirt.
Kara: “all done, now lets jus wait for Alex and Lena is already downstairs”
y/n: “come on guys, you don’t need to stop all your activities just to take me back home. I know Lena is a very busy woman and she must be needed back in L-Corp and you also need to be in CatCo. I’ll be okay, just drop me off and I will lay on the couch for the rest of the day”
Lena: “Well sweetheart, first of all the place is called L-Corp for a reason, me being the owner and being the boss so I can do as I please. I am a very organized person and I can multitask very well, so you don’t need to worry about my work schedule. I wanted to be here with you guys because you are my family, and family comes first. Secondly, I’m here to take you back home and make sure you don’t trick your sister into getting you full of junk food, we both know she has no spine when it comes to tell you no”
You smirk at the looks Kara and Lena are giving each other.
Kara: “Hey I resent that! I’m not a push over”- the blonde woman pouts at her girlfriend.
Lena: “Never said you were, you just don’t like saying no to your baby sister and the both of you would end up eating pizza and pot sticker for breakfast lunch and dinner without supervision”
Alex: “That’s so true. Finally, I have someone on my corner when it comes to their bad alimentary habits” -the red -haired woman mentions while walking back into the room carrying a bag with the prescriptions and inhalers.
Lena: “I know, they eat like toddlers. Come one you two pouty faces lets go back to the apartment. I will order from the Italian place you love and get some comfort food I won’t be a total bitch. I will relent in some pasta and pizza, but you will eat some veggies and I will even get desert”
You perk up at the mention of your favorite restaurant and desert as a bonus “I love you Lena, and you are so not a b-word. Don’t say that”
Kara: “Totally babe, you are nothing of the sorts”
The group of four women made their back to the apartment Kara and Y/N shared, the youngest Danvers passed out on her sister’s arms during the car ride. Once inside the apartment Kara lay down y/n on the couch with a soft blanket while the two women went back to the kitchen area to order the food and Alex went through the doctor’s indications and meds, while Lena and Kara paid rapid attention.
After some time, you woke up to a light feather like touch on your cheek and arm, Alex was trying to rouse you from your slumber.
Alex: “wake up peanut, food is here you need to take your meds, come on sleepy head” – your sister softly continues to wake you up completely. You just look up to her with a goofy smile.
y/n: “mornin lexie”. Your voice sounding like a mewl from a kitty cat and you stretch in the touch.
Alex just chuckles at you and leans down to grab your arms so you can sit on the couch. But you grab on her neck and shoulders to bring her down with you and once Alex is on the couch you take the opportunity to climb into her lap and continue your nap.
Alex: “come on silly koala, you need food and meds. Wake up.” – the red-haired woman just rubs at your back making soothing patterns with her hand.
y/n: “No wanna. I’m so comfy right now”
Alex: “But its your favorite. Fettuccini Alfredo and triple cheese pizza. Lena even ordered the mini pies you like so much.”
You look up suspiciously at her:” and….?”
Lena: “And grilled veggies, come on time to eat” – the CEO responds from the dinner table.
Dinner was a quick affair; you stuffed your face on mini pies after getting the approval from eating your grilled veggies. The veggies were also delicious you just liked to give Alex hell about the consumption on healthy food. You and Kara always tended to annoy her by making faces at vegetables she cooked.
After a while all of you ended up in the living room watching a movie. You were slumped on top of Alex while Lena was pretty much like you on top of Kara. You seem more alert, which prompt Alex to pause the movie for a little bit and turn to look at you.
Alex: “We will continue with the movie shortly, I just wanted to talk too you now that you are more comfortable and alert. Don’t look at me like that. I need to know what happened so we can be prepared next time”
y/n: “I know…” you sigh and sit up a bit straighter so you could look at the women in the living room and began telling them how the events unfolded. Every detail, from using Kara’s costume, the angry dude and forgetting your medication in your rush to get to the party.
Alex: “Ok sweet girl. Thanks for letting us know. The drunk guy is the brother of one the involved parties during a bank robbery Supergirl was able to stop last year. The family suffered the consequences. He actually approached Jon after you were rushed to get medical attention. He explained he was stupid and drunk and furious at the wrong person. Took it out on you because you were wearing Supergirl’s costume and all the anger he had bottled up came up. and well even though I don’t condemn what he did, he didn’t expect you were going to panic and get an asthma attack. He felt sorry and he wanted to turn himself in. That’s a different story, but the issue here is that this could have been avoided if you had your emergency meds and inhaler. You had nothing and were on a place you were unfamiliar, without any of us. You are an adult and you can party and hang out with anyone you want, but as a responsible adult you should know by now that you live with a medical condition and it’s your responsibility to always carry your meds with you or to calls us if you forget or even tell your friend so they can be prepare. You scared the living shit out of them and us y/n too”
y/n: “I’m so sorry Alex. I know I was rushing and totally forgot I left them in my other bag. I know it’s not an excuse, but I did forget”
Kara: “You really need to be more careful baby. At least text or call to let us know. You know we can bring you a spare one. Jeez I can be there in seconds If you would just let me know”
Alex: “I’m not trying to be the bad cop here baby girl. But what happened cannot happened again, especially if it can be avoided. You stopped breathing and took several efforts to bring you back, you died on me for a few moments and sweetie that´s one of the worst things I even been through. We love you so much sweetheart and we almost lost you for a very stupid mistake” – at this point Alex was very emotional and choking on some words. You were not any better or any of the ladies in the living room for that matter. It was very traumatic for them, the thought of losing someone they love dearly like that.
Alex: “You also should know by now that after this scare I’m implementing some new rules and I’ll be on you checking on you. You owe me as much after that; I get to be the overbearing sister helicopter mom you and Kara call me behind my back and on my face. I don’t care, that’s my way of coping I’m just giving you a fair warning”.
Kara: “Preach it sister, I will be annoying you too. we love you so very much munchkin we just want you healthy and okay”
y/n: “I know, and I love you for it so very much. I do. I get it. I was scared too, that was one of the worst experiences of my life. It sucked so bad. And trust me, I don’t think I’ll be forgetting this anytime soon. Besides knowing how Lena is, she is probably  already working on some sort of device to make sure you can all reach me or I can reach out and pin point my location 24/7”- you laugh a little at that last sentence but then you look into Lena direction who is trying to avoid eye contact with you looking very much suspicious.
y/n: “Oh My God you totally are aren’t you Lee?” – you laugh out loud
Lena: “Can you blame me? You did scare me sweet girl. And well, its no so much as creating a device its basically upgrading your current one, instead of just reaching out or calling for Supergirl, it can also contact Alex, me or Jon. And yes, it’s true; it will also provide live GPS system. Although I’m not sorry, no one bit”.
y/n: “I know. And I’m so thankful to have you, all of you in my life and on my corner. I feel so safe with you guys. I do promise be more careful or at least call whenever I forget bringing any of my meds along with me. pinky promise”
You feel arms engulf you from one side, Alex is bringing you into a strong and warm embrace while Kara leans down and kisses your temple and hugs the two of you. Making you practically be sandwiched in between your big sisters. Lena giving you all a huge smile, happy to be near all of you and knowing all of you are content and okay.
Y/n: “Come on Lee, you’re missing out on the love, bring it” – The dark-haired woman leans down next to Kara and also joins into the sisterly group hug.
You do have a lot of people on your corner, and it’s a great feeling knowing you have the most amazing sisters and friends with you, you are so very thankful for getting another chance at life and continue to walk  this earth with them along the ride.
NOTE: I’m back, hopefully you’ll enjoy the second and last part of Halloween gone wrong. I’m still working on my other stories but for now here’s a little something to get by. thanks for all your comments or question in regard my stories or certain request you have, not saying I will make them immediately but I will try my very best. I do appreciate your words and likes to my post, I truly do.

Parts 1-3 // Part 4 // Part 5 // Part 5.5 // Part 6 // Part 7 // Part 8 // Part 9 // Part 10 // Ao3 Kara has been away for too long. This is what she thinks to herself as she hovers over the edge of National City's furthest flung suburb, her eyes on the horizon, her hands doing a rather unsuperherolike fidget of their own accord. She was only supposed to be gone for a couple of hours. A couple of days maybe. Long enough to cool down, to get her anger under control, to make sure that Lena would never have to see her like... that. Only a couple of days has become a couple of weeks and now Kara doesn't know how to come home. "Rao," she whispers. Immediately she feels foolish - as if Rao has answered her these past weeks - but in her solitude she's grown used to speaking in prayer, and so she finishes the thought anyway. "Where am I supposed to be right now? What am I supposed to be doing?" Probably her life is in shambles. Probably she's been fired from CatCo and there are a stack of unpaid bills cluttering up the mailbox of an apartment that probably doesn't belong to her anymore. That's going to be a mess to sort out and there's no getting around it. And then there are the personal relationships she's abruptly abandoned for a month and a half without explanation. Alex will be worried sick, and angry, and rightfully so. What will J'onn say? Nia? Clark? And then there's Lena. Kara's hand moves to the thin red thread would tightly around her wrist. Ever so gently, careful not to wear it thinner still, she brushes her fingers over it. She'll have to talk to Lena. Soon. Today. The thought makes her stomach twist and seize and roil with feelings she has hardly begun to name, let alone master, but Rao, if she stays away until she's mastered them all she's starting to think she might stay away for a lifetime. But at least the anger is under control. That's the most important thing, because the truth is there is no returning to National City, no returning to Lena, without facing Sam. It's doubly true now that Sam has taken up the cape to protect the city that Kara has come to think of as her own. She has to admit, however begrudgingly, that Sam has done a good job. The city below is peaceful in that loud, chaotic way that cities have about them in the late afternoon: a dog shouts out on 4th street; someone's car won't start on Tulare; highschool students pour out of a bus downtown full of the laughter and the posturing of youth. All is well. Certainly things are better than Kara has any right to expect them to be, and that's on Sam. Sam, who made headlines when she stepped in to make it clear that Supergirl's absence would not be taken advantage of. Sam, who said she'd never wear the cape because she was afraid of what it would mean for Ruby. Sam, who should have rightly been on Argo right now claiming her birthright and her heritage. Sam, who had an obligation to protect Lena and chose to bind her irrevocably to Kara in a marriage of obligation instead. Perhaps the anger is not so under control after all, but up here there's no one to see Kara's eyes flash or her fist clench, no one to hear her heartrate pick up or the sharp breath she forces out between her teeth. Up here it's okay. It's only down there she has to worry about control. But first before control, before the appearance of reconciliation, before Kara figures out how to get Sam on board with the plan she's hatched for finding Lena a way out of this mess, first before anything, Kara is going to have to talk to Alex. Hell hath no fury like an older sister abruptly abandoned and left to fret and worry for nothing, and the longer Kara puts this off the worse it's going to be. She takes a deep breath and wishes, not for the first time, that life came with a rewind.
There isn't really any such thing as taking the long way when you're a Kryptonian under Earth's yellow sun, but Kara makes an effort. She loops around the city twice, trying not to think about how uncomfortable it will be if she runs into Sam out here doing a similar patrol. She hovers over the L-Corp building long enough to determine that Lena is, in fact, not at work on a Saturday — probably Jess's doing, for which she’s grateful. Then she drifts gently to Alex's neighborhood, to her street, to the fire escape, to the back window always unlatched when Kara is on patrol just in case Supergirl should need to stop by unseen. Kara, of course, is not so much on patrol as officially missing, so she hesitates there on the fire escape before reaching out to tug gently gently gently on the window. It's almost a surprise when it slides open. Alex is home but the shower is running and Kara, feeling an odd sort of nervousness wash over her, slips through the window quietly. Maybe it would have been better to come through the front door, or to call ahead, or maybe it would be better to announce herself now, but now she's here trembling in Alex's kitchen and she's let herself in this way a hundred times and it's always been okay. Only this time it's different, and all Kara can think about is how angry Alex is going to be when she sees her and- The bathroom door flies open and Alex comes barreling out into the kitchen in a towel, dripping wet, the shower still running behind her. They stand there for a moment, Kara rubbing the edge of her cape between her fingers, Alex stock still as though she's seen a ghost. "Kara," she breaths. And then, "Shit, I'm sorry. Let me-" She reaches for the cupboard, then the fridge, then steps back. "Are you okay?" "Yeah," Kara says. She draws in a deep breath to spit out the explanation she's rehearsed a hundred times: I'm sorry but I was losing control and you have to understand that Sam and Lena were together the whole time and I was jealous, so jealous, but I was mostly so angry that Lena trusted her and then she put her into this awful position with the vows, and it put me in an awful position too, and I just couldn't stay and I- But Alex is nodding. "Let me just put a shirt on, okay? Don't- Just don't go anywhere. Help yourself to anything in the fridge. Two seconds." She starts down the hall and then turns back, her fingers up for emphasis. "Two seconds." It's more like forty seconds and the shower is still running and Kara is too uncomfortable to fetch anything from the fridge. All her rehearsed words have died in her throat and she's left standing there teasing a thread out of the edge of the cape and feeling like somehow this is all wrong. Kara’s imagined this encounter a thousand times but never like this, and to compound it all, something in this place has shifted. Maybe it's just the time Kara's been away but something here feels... different. Forty seconds isn't long enough to put a finger on it and Alex is back in the kitchen in a t-shirt and boxers and demanding a hug before Kara can quite track what's changed. There's an almost physical relief when Alex collides with her and for a few seconds all else is forgotten. "Are you mad at me?" she whispers into Alex's hair. "Yeah," Alex whispers back. "But it can wait." And then, as she pulls away, "Cocoa?" Alex doesn't wait for an answer. She's busy at the stove in an instant, milk out on the counter, hot chocolate mix out of a glass bottle measured by the heaping quarter cup, and Kara's offers of assistance are shooed away with a gesture so reminiscent of Eliza that she might have giggled if she hadn't been feeling slightly sick. She settles into a chair at the kitchen table instead. The cape has found its way between her fingers again; that loose thread is becoming more prominent by the minute. Then the shower shuts off and Kara glances up at Alex. "Is someone else here? I'm so sorry, am I interrupting? I can go if-" Alex silences her with a hand. "It's fine. You're not interrupting. It's just... it's my girlfriend." "Girlfriend?" The guilt sickens Kara a little further. She's been gone too long. She's missed too much. "Actually," Alex says, stirring the hot chocolate mix into the milk on the stove, "I was meaning to talk to you about it before everything happened with the wedding. It wasn't official but we'd been intimate - sorry, TMI, I know - and I thought it might be going some place. But then with everything happening it never felt like the right time, and now..." "Well who is she?" This explains, at least, what feels different about the apartment. And it seems obvious now that Kara knows what she's looking for: an extra pair of shoes by the front door, a jacket over the back of the couch that doesn't belong to Alex. But it's familiar. A jacket Kara's seen before, now that she's thinking about it. "Do I know her?" "Yeah. Actually, we should probably talk about-" Sam steps into the kitchen slowly, so softly that human ears might not have picked up her approach. She's wearing one of Alex's long sleeved tees pulled down too far over her hands, an anxious gesture Kara has seen mirrored in Lena a thousand times, and it sends an instant flash of something awful through her chest. "Hi Kara," Sam says softly. The rage hits Kara before her mind can catch up. Alex and Sam were intimate before the wedding. Alex and Sam were intimate before the wedding. Alex and Sam were- Which means- The kitchen table cracks under Kara's fingers but the words don't come. What is she supposed to say? Hi Alex, I really missed you, by the way your girlfriend is possibly cheating on you with my wife who, funny story, is only actually married to me because your girlfriend manipulated her into a binding religious marriage, potentially in order to free herself up so that she could be official with you. Any chance she's mentioned any of that? No? What comes out of her mouth is: "How dare you." Sam crosses her arms, those sleeves still pulled down around her fingers, takes another step into the kitchen. "I think I know what this looks like," she says. "And it's not. It's not what you think." Kara doesn't know what she thinks. Something about Sam's anxiety and the confusion on Alex's face is sounding an alarm, and it’s an alarm that sounds an awful lot like doubt, but the anger is louder. Anger, in Kara's recent experience, is always louder. And now it's building behind her eyes, and she knows it shows because Sam starts to move between her and Alex and somehow that makes it all worse because now it's the shame that's louder and Kara can hardly hear her own thoughts over all that noise. "I have to go," she chokes out. "I'm sorry. Alex, I-" I'll call, she wants to say. "I'm sorry," she says instead. She can smell the milk burning on the stove as she leaves, can hear Alex calling after her, demanding Sam go after her, demanding she come back. "Let her go," Sam murmurs. Kara passes out of earshot. Well, not really. But she's got enough distance that she can put it out of her head. Enough distance that she can, if she chooses, listen to nothing but the wind, and her shame, and the hammering of her own heart.

Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3
"I hope you don't mind if I do most of the talking." Your grandfather started.
"There are so many things that I want to tell you but I don't know where or how to start. He couldn't hide the sadness in his voice. Of that, you were sure. "I have a feeling that no matter how hard I try, you will stick to what you know -to what your parents told you.
"Your hostility today proved that I was right about my hunch, so that leaves me no other choice but to tell you everything. And to start, I want to explain the exchange of letters your mother and I had."
"L-letters?" Your brows scrunched in confusion.
"You mean you don' know that... well, I should have known better." His shoulders dropped. I know everything that happened with your family because of the letters your mother sent me, although, at that time, I don't know the reason why she did that so I never bothered to read those.
"It was only later that I realized why," He paused then added lowly. "That was to spite me, of course. She wanted to show me that even if your family isn't rich, you're all very happy. That even without the luxuries, you are complete and you love each other."
The old man looked up at you, his eyes glistening in tears. "Do you know that that hit me terribly? I was happy for her but I cannot admit to myself that I envy her. I envied your family's happiness. It was as if you had nothing to worry about in this world.
"I can't believe that my youngest daughter, my dear Noriko who got everything she wanted without even lifting a finger, my Norik who grew up in a wealthy household, chose to live a simple and plain life with her husband and child." Your gaze was fixated on your grandfather so you didn't miss it when he gently wiped a lone tear that fell down his cheek. You were astounded. You thought you were imagining things.
"But... but why didn't you help us when we asked?"
"It was too late when I learned of your mother's sickness, it was too late when I read the letters. But even if I knew early on, it was clear that she didn't want any of it. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't because I never knew where it was that you live, only that it was in Tokyo. It seemed she used a different address when she sent me those letters."
"I find that hard to believe."
"I don't expect you to believe me now, my dear y/n. But please don't close your heart and mind. Please give me a chance."
"But why now?" Your voice faltered, mind racing. Everything that your parents told you doesn't add up to what the old man said. What is even the truth? Who lied? Was it your parents? But why would they do that? No, they wouldn't.
"It's hard to explain, y/n, but please understand that I'm just a father who loved his daughter greatly. I didn't approve of her relationship with your father because I thought he wouldn't be able to give the things she needed. When Noriko ran away with your father, I was devastated."
You shook your head fervently. "N-no, I don't believe you, you're just saying that because yo-"
Like I said earlier, I don't expect you to believe me." He cut you off then reached for a small brown box that rested on top of his bedside table. He offered it to you.
"I hope that the contents of this box would ease away at least some of your hatred for your grandfather."
You took it with trembling hands. "What's this?"
"You'll know once you open it but if you may, please do that when you're back in your room. And return that box to me, please, as soon as possible. What's inside of that box are more than just treasures."
Your grandfather's crest-fallen expression only heightened your confusion. "You may go now. Your old man is tired and in need of rest." -- With swollen, red eyes, you blinked the tears away to clear your vision. You tried to contain your sob as you placed the letters back inside the box. It was your mother's letters for your grandfather.
you briefly wondered why your mother even bothered to write these letters when half of them were full of hatred and anger for her father.
But at the same time, you couldn't blame her. Aside from loving your father so much, she also had her own principles and greatly values her dignity. Plus, the fact that your grandfather disowned her also terribly hurt your mother.
Your head spun. You somehow felt ashamed of yourself; how you acted earlier, and all the things you said to your grandfather.
But then again, none of that matters now. There was also nothing you could do to change what happened in the past so you decided to only bother yourself with the present, with what needs to be done now.
For a long period of time, you paced around the confines of your room but instead of coming up with a plan of action, it only made you tired. You let out a deep sigh before laying on the futon. The best thing you could think of right now is to sleep through it and silently hope for everything to be okay tomorrow. ---- You woke up the next morning with a heavy heart. What happened last night still vividly replayed in the forefront of your mind, as if it happened only seconds ago. You could still hear the deep longing and sadness in your grandfather's voice, the anger in your mother's letters, and your hostility towards him.
Now that you knew the truth, staying here would be too much.
Groggy and groaning, you willed yourself to get up from the futon and prepare to leave. You glanced at the wrinkled clothes that you wore yesterday, you were only gonna wear it during the trip so that will do.
You were all set when your eyes landed on the small brown box. You needed to return it to your grandfather, the letters are important to him.
The heaviness in your heart alleviates. Despite the harsh and hurtful words your mother wrote in those letters, your grandfather still kept them and considered it more than treasures. You picked it up from the chabudai. You're going to say goodbye as soon as you return it to him.
It would be better to go back to Tokyo. To go back to your previous life before you met your long lost family. Yes, it would be best to go back to Tokyo and forget everything that happened for the past 24 hours. Now may not be the time but you hoped that your relationship with your grandfather will take on a good turn.
Someday. But not now.
As soon as you stepped out of your room, dead silence welcomed you. You made your way to your grandfather's quarters but the creeping silence got to you. Did you wake up too early or do the people in this house just stay in bed too late?
You shrugged away the thought when you arrived in front of the old man's room. You were about to call out to him when someone grabbed your wrist.
"Good, you're awake. You're really the reason why I quickly came back. Let's go." Your grandfather's lawyer declared at pulled you to god knows where. "Huh? Wait, where are you taking me?" You tried to pull your wrist away from Ushijima's grip.
"I will bring you to your grandfather. He's in the hospital right now and kept calling for you, so whether you like it or not, you're coming with me."
You unconsciously let yourself get dragged along. The moment you heard that your grandfather is in the hospital, worry filled every fiber of your being.
You now fell in to step with him, his tall frame looming beside you. He still hasn't let go of your wrist. You looked up at him, his cold eyes met yours and you immediately looked down.
"What happened to him? And how is he?"
"If you really want to know then I suggest you ask him yourself." He said dryly.
His apathetic tone irked you a bit but you decided to keep your mouth shut. The ride to Sendai General Hospital was short and silent. His brooding and aloof demeanor didn't help in subduing your growing ire for him. But seriously what is his problem?

Summary: When the 100 was sent to the ground, Y/N Y/L/N was one of them. Having been locked up for almost 8 years, how will she react to surviving on Earth? Especially when she gets banished…
Post Date: 3-21-20
Paring: Bellamy Blake x Reader
Word Count: 6.5K (wait... what?)
~Master~
~The 100 Master~
*Based off episode 3x09 of the 100, Stealing Fire*
Previously…
“Y/N YL/N, for the crimes of treason, kidnapping, and attempted murder,” Bellamy found himself standing straighter, his hands falling to his sides fast when he took a step forward, mentally pleading that Pike wouldn’t finished his sentence. That you’d get one more chance. That this wasn’t the end for you. “I hereby sentence you to death.”
Bellamy couldn’t breathe.
You didn’t move. You didn’t blink. You didn’t protest or say anything. Bellamy couldn’t believe it, he didn’t want to believe that after everything this was how it was going to end, with him watching a pair of guards hoist you to your feet and out the room, straight into the cell without a second word.
Bellamy brought a hand to his face, wiping beneath his eyes because he could’ve sworn his were watery. “Sir we’re killing our own people now?” Bellamy asked Pike the moment your body was pulled from the room. Pike sighed, putting his hands on his hips under his jacket as he looked at him.
“We’re at war. Crimes against leadership won’t be tolerated.”
“And she dies to be an example?” Bellamy lowered his voice, hoping the new level will keep him from showing his emotions but Pike saw right through him. The older man spared a glance to the door.
“Y/N’s actions put this whole camp at risk. I know what she means to you,” Bellamy adverted his eyes. “But am I making an example of her? Damn right I am, and I hope their executions make it clear where our people’s allegiances lie.” He finished as Bellamy quirked a brow.
“Their?”
Pike nodded, moving amongst the room to the door before looking back. “Their. Kane and Sinclair were in on this, they will be examples as well.” Bellamy’s eyes widened as Pike straightened his back. “Do I make myself clear?” Bellamy didn’t know what to do, but ultimately, he hesitated before nodding. Pike held the door open for him, dismissing him as Bellamy shuffled out fast. As soon as he left, he went looking for Monty, trying to think of how to reverse this whole situation.
Kane was pacing back and forth in the cell, Sinclair watching him the whole time until the door to the open to show you being escorted by 4 guards, two of them holding your biceps. You tried to pull yourself free from them briefly, but they held on strong and soon you gave up, closing your eyes before hearing Kane say your name.
You looked up, seeing all the grounders looking at you as well as Sinclair and Kane himself. You were shoved into the cell rather harshly as you glared at the man to your right. He didn’t say anything, just unlocking your hands and closing the door behind you. Kane was the first to step forward, his mouth opening to say something, but you just shook your head.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry, I failed.” Your voice cracked as Kane finished off the final distance, pulling you into his embrace. You let him wrap his arms around you and you tucked your head against his chest, feeling him hold his hand against the back of your head. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay. It’s okay Y/N.” He said as you nodded against him, not coming out of his embrace as you looked up at him.
“I’m being executed.” you told him. Kane felt like he was punched in the stomach as his hold on you tightened. He licked his lip, glancing around him at all the crestfallen people around him. You didn’t need him to say anything for you to know he had no clue what to do.
You messed up.
You should’ve killed Pike.
You messed everything up.
Bellamy and Monty stood in the hallways of the ark. “What happened in there?” Monty asked Bellamy who placed his hands on his hips, his eyes wide as he liked his lips.
“They’re gonna execute her. They’re gonna execute Y/N. Kane, Sinclair, and Lincoln too.” He told Monty who sighed, leaning against the wall and closing his eyes.
“We have to do something. I mean, Sinclair, Kane, even Lincoln are one thing, but Y/N? I mean she’s one of us. She’s practically family now.” Monty said and Bellamy ignored the way his chest clenched at his words because to him, Monty was right. He wasn’t going to let this happen. “What about Harper and Miller?” Monty questioned, thinking about the last two of your accomplices. No sooner than he got the words out did Hannah, his mother, came through the set of doors next to them, stopping their conversation.
“Nicely done today.” She told them both with a smile that Bellamy wanted to peal off her face. In no way what today was nice. Were you able to identify anyone Kane and Y/N were working with?” Monty slowly looked up at her as Bellamy almost immediately answered a no, making Hannah eye him curiously. Monty followed with his eyes before shaking his head, lying to his own mother. Hannah knew something was up, but looked past it, reminding them about the correct sides of this war. “It’s not hard choosing what’s best for your people, isn’t it?”
Bellamy looked at her, biting the inside of his cheek as he again answered with a slight shake of his head. “No. I do it every day.” He spoke, similar words to his ordeals earlier but this time his ‘people’ were different. This time he was going to whatever was best for you. Because to him, right now you were the only ‘people’ that mattered.
Back in Polis, things have been going down since Lexa’s death. Clarke and Murphy were stuck in Polis thanks to the blockade and at the sound of a horn echoing throughout the city, they knew the conclave was to begin. The bed in the room was still covered in Lexa’s blood, slowly dripping onto the floor as Clarke stared at it. Murphy watched from across the room as Clarke seemed to snap out of her daze, pulling her eyes away from her love’s blood and pounding on the door.
“Clarke.” Murphy said in between her pounds as they stopped. “I’m sorry. I knew how much she meant to you.” He apologized, thinking about the prospect of finding Emori, the girl had grown to care about being in the same situation.
Clarke didn’t spare the boy a glance as she deflected her emotions. “This isn’t about me. We have to make sure Aden wins this conclave.” The door opened as Titus walked through it, barely glancing up as Murphy scoffed.
“What, you come here to finish the job?” Murphy asked bitterly, subconsciously talking a step back as he remembers all the torture ensued at Titus’ hands. Titus handed over some clothes to each of them before stepping back.
“I’m fulfilling a vow made to Lexa. Put these on.” He told them. Clarke looked at the grounder clothes with disgust as Murphy followed directions, putting the coat over his own.
He glanced over at Clarke, seeing her make no move to change. “The door we’ve been trying to open for the last 24 hours is open Clarke. Let’s use it.” He reminded her but Clarke ignored him, turning to Titus and throwing the clothes back at him.
“You killed your commander. How are you still free?” She asked him, biting back her words not to scream.
“I’m the only Fleimkepa.” He told her as she scoffed. “Please, if you go now, you can slip in the crowds arriving for the conclave.” He told her as Murphy stepped up, grabbing her arm.
“Clarke, Let’s go.”
“I need to see Aden.” She told Titus.
“That’s out of the question. The Natblidas have begun the purification ritual.” Titus informed her. After Clarke demanded once again to see him, Titus led them both to where the Natblidas, the Nightbloods, were in ritual. 5 nightbloods knelt on the ground, watching as Aden stuck his hand into a container of red powder and stood in front of a dead Lexa.
“Hofli Keryon kom Heda na sad ai op.” Aden whispered into the air as he sprinkled the red powder over Lexa’s dead body.
May the Spirit of the Commander choose me.
The door opened to reveal Clarke, Murphy and Titus standing in the doorway as Aden turned to look. Clarke asked to speak with Aden who offered her a moment to be with Lexa, but Clarke denied, insisting she needed to speak with him about honoring his promise to her people.
“If Heda’s spirit chooses me I will honor the promise. Lexa made us all vow it. We loved her.” The boy looked distraught as Clarke nodded, feeling relief in the fact her people would be supported.
Roan came into the ritual, Ontari, the nightblood Clarke had met earlier when Nia dripped her black blood across Clarke’s face, followed behind Roan and the second she saw Clarke she attacked. She took Clarke to the floor, holding a knife in the air only to be stopped by Titus after she pushed Aden away from his attempt. Roan ordered her to put the knife down, but she snapped at him. “She’s the reason your mother is dead.”
“You will obey your king.”
Ontari tightened the grip on her knife before pulling it away. Looking Clarke dead in the eyes. “No matter. When I am Heda and the king bows to me, you and every last Skaikru will die.”
You sat on the bench next to Kane, watching from across the room as Lincoln spoke to a woman bandaging up another before he stood up, walking across the room. You took a deep breath, crossing your arms as Lincoln stood in front of you.
“She going to be okay?” you nodded over to the woman as Lincoln looked over, sighing softly.
“She will be. So will you.”
You let out a defeated chuckle, knowing Lincoln was wrong. “You inspire them. That’s the Lincoln I knew.” He put his hand on your shoulder, making you look him in the eyes as he offered a sad smile.
“I’m not gonna let you give up, either.” You wanted to tell him to give up, to accept that this was your fate just as you had, but you couldn’t say anything as the door to the room opened.
Pike, Bryan, a few guards as well as Bellamy entered. Bellamy immediately caught your eyes through the cage as you got to your feet, looking towards Pike. “I thought I had more time.” You muttered.
“I’m not here for you.” He looked over your shoulders and around the room at the several grounders and Kane and Sinclair. “Each of you are guilty of the same crimes as Y/N. You will all share the same fate. Death.” You swallow back the awful dose of reality Pike just shot at you as you felt Bellamy’s eyes boring into the side of your face.
The grounder woman from earlier asked Lincoln what Pike was saying, not understanding English to which Lincoln told her not to worry. “My people are innocent. They know nothing. Don’t let them suffer for my crimes. Please.” You looked over your shoulder at Lincoln, watching his jaw rigid as he pleaded to Pike.
“Sir, Lincoln’s right.” You were shocked when Bellamy spoke up. “All the others did was run through an open door, same thing we would do if we were in the same position.” Pike paused as he looked at all of you before nodding.
“I agree that true. Kane, Lincoln, Sinclair, and Y/N as leaders of this coup, you will pay for your crimes with your lives.” You gasped, stepping forward to protest but the feeling of everyone’s eyes on you stopped you. Pike looked you up and down. “Execution is set for dawn.” He led the guards out of the room as they followed, everyone except Bellamy.
“Y/N-“
“Don’t. You chose your side. This, all this, is not your fault, but I wouldn’t be here if you’d chosen the right side.” You whispered barely loud enough for him to hear before you turned around, walking away and wiping tears trying to fall out of your eyes. You went years without crying, but on Earth Bellamy Blake managed to turn you into a damn waterfall. He doesn’t know the affect he has on you.
Bellamy watch you join a slumped Kane on the bench. Kane wrapped an arm around your shoulder as you let your eyes close and you could feel the soft trail of a tear making its way down your cheek. His eyes hardened and he practically dashed out of the room in search of Monty.
Monty and Bellamy stood outside Miller’s room, Bellamy having just pounded on the door. Miller and Harper exchanged glances before Miller opened it. “What are you doing here?” He asked as they let themselves in. Bellamy brought a finger to his lips, shushing them. He reached into his pocket pulling out a knife. Miller and Harper went into high alert, hands reaching for their guns before Bellamy calmed them down. He reached for Miller’s jacket, cutting open a part of it to reveal the bug Bryan had placed a few days ago. Miller looked to Harper, both equally as shocked as Monty dropped the microphone into a bag.
“The bag blocks the signal.” Monty told them.
“Who put it there?” Miller asked although deep down he already knew.
“That’s not important. Pike just sentenced Y/N to death. Lincoln, Sinclair, and Kane too.” Bellamy looked distressed; all he could think about was prospect of losing you. Harper just scoffed.
“Are you trying to scare us?” she asked.
“We’re here to help. You’re going to get them out right? What can we do?”
Harper and Miller exchanged looks, not believing a word they were saying. “What are you talking about?” Harper feigned confusion.
“Look, we can help from the inside, but we need people to hand them off to on the outside.” Miller and Harper continued their act, making Monty and Bellamy mad as Bellamy groaned. “You know what, forget it. If my sister wants to save Lincoln’s life, you tell her to meet me at the dropship in an hour. But I’m not letting anything happen to Y/N.” Bellamy stormed out of the room, shaking his head and running a hand over his face, wiping away any look of his troubles. Monty called after him before turning to Harper.
“After everything we’ve been through, you don’t trust me?”
Harper bit the inside of her cheek, shaking the hair out of her to look at him. “Does your mother know you’re here Monty?”
Bellamy stood outside the dropship, hoping on everything his sister would show up. He heard the clopping of a horse as he spun around, relaxing at the sight of his sister. “Octavia.”
She went in for a hug, almost wrapping her arm around him before she plunged a syringe into his neck. Bellamy fell onto her, slowly falling to the ground. “Sleep well, big brother.” She said softly as she caught him.
Bellamy came to in a cave, Octavia and Indra were standing over him as his hands were locked in front of him. “It was a mistake to bring him here.” Indra told the younger girl.
Octavia sighed, looking down at Bellamy sat on the floor. “He was out the whole way. I searched him for bugs.”
“You think I’d let them hurt you?” Bellamy questioned, hoping Octavia would realize everything Bellamy would do was for her.
“You let them capture Y/N, didn’t you?” Bellamy was taken back, his mouth falling open as he looked at her.
“You waste time.” Indra interrupted them, looking towards Octavia. “You should be in their camp by now.” Octavia nodded, reaching to grab her things.
“Pike will be expecting you. You won’t be able to get close, but I can. We work together and we can save them!” Bellamy tried to explain but Octavia refused to look at him. “They’re going to execute her, Octavia. They’re going to kill her!”
Octavia finally looked at him, taking a step forward to stand over him. “You’re the reason she needs saving Bellamy. If she does die, her death will be on you.”
“O…” he whispered. He tried to ignore the part in him that agreed with her, knowing that if you did die, if he couldn’t save you, it’s his fault. “You need me.” His voice was small as Octavia shook her head.
“For the first time in my life, that’s not true.” She turned around, heading right out the cave entrance as Bellamy called out her name. He was worried, of course he was, if this doesn’t work, he hated the fact he couldn’t even say goodbye.
He messed up.
He should’ve chosen your side.
He messed everything up.
You leaned against the wall as you watched Lincoln talk to a man laid on the ground. He stood up, looking down at you as you chuckled. “Did you ever think that day you found me in the woods, that we’d be here?” Lincoln quirked a brow at you as you shook off the question with a smile, but Lincoln just joined you against the wall. “I’m sorry I couldn’t get Pike out of the camp.”
“That wasn’t on you. Your people, they think they’re doing the right thing.” He said as you scoffed.
“Yeah, you don’t need to tell me that. I couldn’t even get through to Bellamy.” You didn’t miss the way Lincoln sent you a smirk out the corner of your eye as you felt your cheeks heat up. “I swear Lincoln, if you say anything right now.”
“I wasn’t going to say anything.”
“Uh huh, sure you weren’t.” you joked before seeing the smirk on his face fall slightly. You knew just by the look on his face what he was thinking about. “You’re thinking about Octavia, aren’t you?”
Lincoln nodded solemnly as you looked up into the ceiling, staring at the crack in the wall and thinking about your best friend. You didn’t know if you were going to see her again, and that hurt. You watched across the cell as Kane who was previously let out to talk to Abby came back, much more depressed than he was before.
You left your spot next to Lincoln when the man caught his attention again. You headed over to sit on Kane’s side. His arms rested on his knee and you could see the brand of the coalition peaking out from his rolled-up sleeves. You took his arm, turning it over to run your fingers across it. Kane watched you, paying more attention to your soft facial expression than the mark. “Could’ve worked.” You told him, letting the pad of your thumb run right down the center.
“Death can be an act of unity. We don’t break. No fear. The people will remember.” He told you. You sighed, looking to give him a sad smile.
“So, you and Abby Griffin.” You spoke referring to the disappearance he made with the woman earlier.
“So, you and Bellamy Blake.” He backed as you let out a small scoff, hiding the frown you would’ve worn behind a forced smile.
“You’re going to die and she visited you. I don’t even know where Bellamy’s at.” You stared at the floor in front of you, gently picking up the toes of your feet only to press them back down and distract you. Kane eyed you, knowing you were giving up hope when your shoulders slacked, resting your head against the wall and your fingers still tracing his mark.
“Bellamy’s going to figure it out eventually. He’ll come back for you.” He argued.
You just remained still, not moving at all. “How can you be sure?”
“You love him.” You inhaled quickly as you looked anywhere but him. Kane, being ever so knowledgeable about your predicament, put a hand on your knee, pulling your attention back to him. “And I’m willing to bet he feels the same about you.”
You let a small scoff leave your lips. “And look where that got us. We’re about to be executed.” You heard Kane sigh next to you, yet he followed your words with none of his own. This wasn’t how you thought you were going to die, given you imagined it many ways, yet an execution never made the list. “Kane… I’m sorry.
His brows pulled together. “What are you sorry for?”
“For what I am. For what I became. My parents would be disappointed in me.” You let go of his arm but Kane didn’t move it as his sight remained locked on your face, downcast as you took a deep breath. “They always taught me to be strong. To not let others decide my fate, that I needed to make my own.”
“You are one of the strongest people I know Y/N.” He grabbed your hand, giving it squeeze.
“Then why wasn’t I enough for them?!” Your voice cracked as you looked at him with broken eyes. It was as if in the final moments before the guards come in you needed to be free from your feelings, you needed to know. “Why did you leave me?”
“Y/N, your parents. There’s something you don’t know.” He whispered as he wiped a tear off your face as you gasped quietly.
“W-what are you talking about?”
“Chancellor on deck!” Someone shouted as you both jumped to your feet, feeling Kane grab your arms and stare out at the guards. Lincoln spoke to the grounders as you scanned the room, feeling your heart plummet when you don’t see the brown eyes you so wanted.
“I told you, Bellamy’s not here.” You mumbled right before Pike shouted for everyone to back against the walls. You listened, following directions as you peaked over to Lincoln. His eyes pierced through the room, sending daggers straight at Pike who was walking over to you. You glared at Pike as he handcuffed your wrists, tightening them more than necessary as you hissed.
The four of you were led through the hallways in a line. This is it. You thought. I’m about to die. You followed behind Kane, seeing him look over his shoulder at you but you didn’t meet his eyes. You knew this would be easier if you didn’t.
“Make way!” Pike yelled one the halls as you watched your feet shuffle against the ground, barely picking them up.
“Yes sir, Mr. Chancellor.” Someone says as you immediately shoot your head up, seeing Harper stand off to the side. Her lips curl up slightly when she sees you and for the first time in 24 hours you think you might have a chance to live.
“Package is on the move. I repeat package is on the move.” She spoke into a microphone after you’ve passed to not get caught.
But it was all for naught as Monty and Hannah were listening in on her call. “She’s talking about the prisoners.” Hannah pointed out as Monty leaned forward on his knees, bouncing his leg getting his whole body to shake. “Whose voice is that?” Monty didn’t want to lie to his mother, but he knew he had to. He shook her head, motioning he had no idea. Harper came on the call again before another’s.
“We’re in position. Ready to intercept.”
“Octavia kom Skaikru.” Hannah said when she realized the second voice belong to the girl. You heard Hannah’s voice come over the radio on Pike, telling him Octavia was here. You held back a gasp, knowing how much more trouble you could be in if Pike knew you were a part of this whole thing, you’d be in even more trouble than you could imagine.
Pike ordered you all to your knees and you obliged, feeling the nerves get to you. Pike scowled at you as he talked to Hannah over the radio. “Can you confirm a location?”
“Negative, sir.”
Bryan stepped up to Pike. “Sir, we can assume her friends already told her where were talking them. We shouldn’t move until we know the route’s secure.” Bryan told him as Pike nodded, finding an empty room just in front of him. He assured you all into the room, telling two men to stand by the door.
“Anyone comes out of there, shoot to kill. Anyone enters this corridor, one warning then shoot to kill. Everyone else, on me.” The guards nodded as they took positions, two of them staying with the four of you. The moment you were seated on the ground you looked to Kane; his mouth was upturned into a little smirk. You raised a brow at him before he mouthed ‘I told you so’. Your smirk then matched his.
Bellamy was still handcuffed in the cave, leaning against the wall as he clenched his fists. “Indra please. Pike tripled his security; he’ll see her coming.”
“Good. We’re counting on that.”
Bellamy just groaned. “He still trusts me. If anything goes wrong, we can use that.” He tried to tell her as Indra stood up to tower over him.
“I’ve seen where that trust came from. The battlefield where you massacred my brothers and sisters.” She snapped at him.
“Should I have let him kill you?”
“Why didn’t you?”
“Same reason you haven’t used that sword on me.”
She tilted her chin in the air, staring down at the boy. “Octavia.” Bellamy nodded, pleading one last time for release over the fact Octavia could die at Arkadia. “Then Octavia kom Skaikru will die the warrior’s death you denied me.”
Pike took his guards towards the hanger bay, they kept their guns in their hands, ready to shoot anyone threatening their safety. “Same drill!” He ordered as the guards separated. “Watch for blind spots.”
“Sir, the hangar’s secure.”
Pike wasted no time in pulling out his radio. “Unit 4 come in. Unit 4 what’s your status?” He asked again after a few minutes of silence. “Are the prisoners secured?” Still nothing came through as they left the hangar, running down the halls to get back to you all. They reached your door, seeing the two guards laying on the ground unconscious. Pike stepped past the guards on the floor, letting everyone care for them as he stepped into the room you were supposed to be in.
“Damn it!” He yelled out as the room was empty, not a trace of you all to be seen. “We did exactly what they wanted us to do.” He mumbled as he turned around to the others. “It won’t happen again.”
The left the room, a few seconds later the floorboards moving out from their spots as the five of you clamber out. You wore a relieved smile on your face as Kane helped you to your feet. “Bit right down there.” He said soon as you were all out and Octavia was unlocking his handcuffs.
Octavia just glared at him and scoffed. “Try doing it for 16 years.” She snapped. Kane was taken back as the tension in the air thickened. She turned to you, her glare still locked on Kane as she undid your own bounds.
“Hey.” You tapped Octavia on the shoulder, getting her to look at you. When she did, you wrapped your arms around her, bringing her in for a tight hug she returned. “Thank you for saving us.” You mumbled into her ear.
“Couldn’t let you suffer for my brother’s mistakes.” She replied before pulling away, seeing her boyfriend standing behind you. You watched them embrace, thankful they’d get many more. Abby came in the door as you went on alert, ready in case a guard decided to stop by.
“Abby… I told you not to do this.” Kane spoke in a hushed voice to her, asserting his authority as you watched carefully.
“Why would I start listening to you now?” You chuckled at the woman’s defiance. She was just like Clarke.
Harper’s voice was the one to break up the reunions this time as she informed you all of the numerous guards blocking your exit.”Stay put.”
“They’re trapped.” Hannah told Monty as they continued to eavesdrop on your radio calls. Monty didn’t look at her, wasting only a beat before grabbing their radio.
“Attention all guards. Calling all guards. The prisoners are headed for the main gate. The prisoners are headed for the main gate! Over!” He shouted as his mom stared on in shock at him.
“Monty, what are you doing?”
For the first time during their spy work, he turned to his mother and looked her in the eye. “I’m saving my friends.”
You looked around the room all equally confused. “Was that Monty?” You asked through the silence.
“Guess he’s with us after all.” Miller said with a shake of his head. You couldn’t help the way your heartbeat leaped. If Monty was helping then maybe Bellamy…
“Pike will figure it out.” Kane asked, bringing you back to your senses. Abby brought her hand up to comfort Kane’s arm.
“We don’t know that.” She assured him.
You shook your head, moving to look outside in the now empty hallway. “What we do know is we have to leave.” Everyone followed your lead out of the room, Octavia running ahead of you to show you the plan’s route.
Monty stayed in his seat after his little radio call. His mom on the other hand was pacing back and forth behind him. “Your friends are traitors!” She yelled.
“Then I guess I’m one too.” There was no doubt in Monty’s mind if he had to do it all over he would help you again, but next time he would be on the correct side from the beginning.
“How many men do we have on the gate?” Pike asked them as he barged into their roomHannah looked to her son, seeing him stand up for what he believed in as she sighed.
“Sir, we just got word. It was another false report.”
“Put this camp on lockdown.” He growled to the two guards behind him.
Octavia led you all to a hatch where Harper waited. The moment she saw you she smiled, pulling you in for a hug before dashing through the hatch. You stepped back, letting everyone go before you until Lincoln, Octavia, Kane, Abby and you were left. “Ok, Abby you’re next.” Kane said as he motioned for her to enter.
Abby just shook her, taking a step back. “I’m not going. They need someone to show them out of the darkness. Besides-“ her speech was cut short when Kane put his hand on the side of her face, pulling her flush against himself and kissing her. Your eyes went wide as you looked away, wanting to give Kane the privacy he deserved. You met Octavias eyes across the room and she smirked at you before going back to lookout. “May we meet again.” Kane told Abby when they finished kissing.
“We will.”
You listened for the sound of Abby making her way through the out the door by Lincoln before you finally turned around, seeing a slight dusting of blush on Kane’s face. “Go on.” He said to you, motioning to the hatch. You patted him on the back as you began to climb on through, only to be stopped by the sound of Pikes voice on Octavia’s radio.
“I have a message for the traitors in this camp. There will be an execution. Either turn yourselves in or the other grounder prisoners will die in your place.” You jumped out of the hatch, trying to figure out what to do.
Someone was going to die today.
“Let’s go.” Octavia said, giving Lincoln and you a slight push. You nodded wearily as you grabbed on the wall but Lincoln didn’t listen to Octavia. He was going to save his people. “Lincoln please!
“I can’t let them die because of me. Go.”
Octavia continued to plead and you joined in, not wanting to lose your friend. “I know what you’re feeling, but they’re searching the station. We have to go.”
“Go.” Lincoln repeated himself but you still shook your head.
“They‘ll kill you Lincoln.” It felt like you were screaming but to Kane and Lincoln your voice was small, trying not to waver as you bid your friend goodbye. Lincoln just smiled down at you, pulling you in for a hug as you shut your eyes tight, trying to wrap your arms around him.
“Take care of her.” He asked you, looking at a teary-eyed defiant Octavia as you nodded softly, sucking in a deep breath to keep yourself from joining her. “May we meet again Y/N.” He pulled away earlier than you wanted him to as you dropped your head, feeling tears prickle the side of your eyes as Kane put his hand on your shoulder.
You threw yourself into his arms, burying your face in the crook of his neck as he rubbed your back. You turned right back into that little girl who watched her parents float themselves, running to Kane for comfort.
“I’m going with you.” Octavia told him. “Oso throu daun ogeda.”
We fight together.
Lincoln smiled down at Octavia, bringing a hand up to caress her face. “I love you.” He whispered to her but you heard it, the feeling striking you on the gut hard. He pulled her into a kiss and while she was distracted, took the opportunity to sneak a hand into her satchel and pull out syringe, injecting it into her neck.
“No…” she mumbled as she fell unconscious. Lincoln lifted her into the air as you stepped back from Kane, letting him carry her.
“What are you doing?” Kane asked.
Lincoln looked down at his girlfriend sorrowfully. “Same thing you'd do for your people. Just get her out of here.” Kane nodded, taking the girl through the hatch as you let him, risking one last glance to Lincoln.
“Ste yuj, Lincoln.” You told him as you lent up to kiss his cheek, giving him one last smile.
Stay strong.
“You too.” He told you before watching you disappear into the hatch. He fixed the door, removing any evidence you were there before heading out of the room, right into the hands of Pike and the guards.
Somehow in Polis, everything was getting even worse. Ontari cheated the conclave, killing all the Natblidas in their sleep. Everyone was confused when the fight supposedly ended, and when they found out what happened, Clarke was scared. Ontari would in no way protect your people. Roan, in honor of Lexa sparing his life, tried to get Clarke and Murphy out of Polis, but Clarke refused to leave without the flame, the one physical connection to Lexa she has left. The flame was pulled out of Lexa after her death, it contained all the past commanders and shall be placed inside the next Heda. Which should’ve been Ontari, but Clarke remembered something Lexa had told her.
Another Natblida was left from Lexa’s conclave, a girl who ran. Titus told Clarke her name was Luna and Clarke knew Lincoln talked of a Luna once and figured it was the same girl. She took the flame from Titus with the promise of bringing Luna back as a commander. Clarke left Polis, leaving Murphy in the hands of Ontari. Titus, the only person able to perform the ascension confronted Ontari with Roan during the purification process. He told them he provided the flame for Clarke to take but wouldn’t tell them where. Ontari, angered at Titus’ defiance ordered Titus’ death, but Murphy reminded her she needed him. Titus, at the knowledge Ontari wouldn’t let him die, took the knife Roan had held and slit his own throat, killing himself. Ontari was outraged, she was going to be the new commander and Titus stopped her plans. No one outside of the room and Clarke knew Ontari wasn’t the commander, so she came up with a plan.
She was going to fake it.
Bellamy was going crazy in the cave. He didn’t think it would take this long unless something happened. No matter what he couldn’t get the feeling something happened out of his head. He sat up at the sound of horns seeming to come from Polis.
“Heda.” Indra whispered as Bellamy looked at her confused.
“What is it?”
“A new commander has risen.” Bellamy was on his feet as he watched Indra grab her things, getting ready to leave.
“And you go running?” She ignores him as she continued moving. “Well maybe, this time, Octavia will get it, your loyalty will always be with your people.”
“Octavia is my people.” She snapped at him over her shoulder.
“Then take these chains off me and we can help them together.” He hoped he was getting through to her and for a second he was, but Indra sighed, looking out into the forest with a shake of his head.
“Tell them I’m sorry.” She said before running out of the cave, leaving Bellamy alone.
You didn’t say a thing as you left the camp, not sparing a glance at anything besides the ground beneath your feet. “Lincoln.” You beard mumbled next to you from Octavia laid on a horse. You made no move to let her know you heard her and half of you suspected it was just in your head. She started to roll off before you looked up at her, helping her weak body off the horse. Octavia was stumbling as she looked for a clearing, finding one just in front of you that overlooked Arkadia. You joined her after a minute of needing to know what was happening. But the air was sucked out of your body at the sight of Lincoln kneeling on the ground in a mud puddle with Pike standing in font of him with a gun in hand. You knew it was coming but knowing it didn’t hurt any less. You felt Kane’s hand on your back, seeing him clutch Octavia out of the corner of your eyes but you paid him no mind, your eyes never leaving the scene playing out in front of you all.
Pike promised Lincoln his people would be cared for. Not free, but cared for. “Lincoln of Trikru, you have been sentenced to death by the rights of the Exodus charter. Any last words?” He asked your friend mere seconds away from being executed. Lincoln just stuck his head up in the air.
“Not for you.” Pike slowly brought the gun up, pointing it at Lincoln’s head. Lincoln slowly turned to look up, catching sight of Octavia above him. “Meibi oso na hit choda op nodotaim.”
May we meet again.
You could hear Octavia whimper next to you but still you stayed silent and stoic, your head screaming but the only moment occurring on your outside be the twitch of a finger. You counted the seconds in your head until this was all over, pleading that somehow Lincoln won’t be shot. Maybe Pike would come to his senses, or one of the guards, or even Bellamy coming to your rescue and stopping Lincoln’s execution.
1… 2…
Gunshots.
A/N: Long chapter, oh my. Also when this episode aired I was absolutely devastated because I LOVED Lincoln, Ricky Whittle was so amazing in his role. I think I cried for a while tbh... well, tell me what you think!
