“are you ready?”

the voice comes from behind kylian, but his attention remains on the mirror before him. [y/n] had chosen the suit for him, said that the colour suited him, and as he scrutinises himself, he can’t help but wonder what she looks like in her dress. it elevates his heartbeat and he has to huff out a heavy sigh to wash away the light-headedness.

“kylian?”

background noise seeps into his ears once again, and the loud seems to come with more clarity, and concern. his head turns, seeing his brother in the same style suit as him, but rather in a dark shade of blue. 

“you good?”

he faces the mirror, scans himself as his body begins to feel hot and the tie around his neck seems to tighten its hold. kylian slowly shakes his head, exhaling, “i’m so fucking nervous.”

ethan chuckles, landing a hand on his brother’s shoulder as he moves to stand beside him. kylian watches him and is succumbed by a thick wave of wistfulness; his brother succeeds his height, shoulders barely touching and his mind can’t fathom how time has flown past them. 

he still can’t believe he’s getting married today. 

“wedding nerves– it’s normal, bro,” ethan tells him, and kylian snickers in retort. 

“since when did you know so much about weddings?”

“well,” ethan slides his hands into his pockets, rocking on his feet, “when you have two siblings who are married- or getting married- you learn a lot of things.”

kylian nods understandingly, and trickles out a sigh for the umpteenth time.

“you’ll be fine, kylian,” ethan comforts, “[y/n] loves you more than i’ve ever seen anyone love someone- truth be told, you’re lucky.”

kylian can’t deny that. [y/n]’s presence in his life has changed him in a way that’s gratifying, and without her, it’s hard to visualise how he would cope. a love story that they would call, truthfully, unintentional, but undeniably destined. 

“i am, aren’t i?”

ethan doesn’t hesitate to nod profusely, “yeah, you are.”

their father calls them from the door as he enters. his forehead is sheened with sweat and sounds of bustling chatter from the living room bleeds inside then muffles again as he shuts himself in. 

wilfried smiles, finds it hard to withstand the unrelenting tears as he sees his son clad in the crisp, black suit. it wasn’t long ago, in his mind, that kylian played his first ever football match, reaching no more than his knees. and as much as his status quo gets now, he’s about to marry the girl who he could never have approved more of.

“you look- wow,” kylian’s father softly grips his son’s arms before smoothing out an odd crease drawn into his coat. 

“you’ll make me cry, papa, stop,” kylian humours out and wilfried joins him in laughter. 

“it’s just- i can’t believe you’re getting married already.”

“me too,” kylian adjusts his tie, but his father slaps his hand away. “i just cleaned up your shirt, don’t ruin it again.”

his son smiles, albeit wobbly, “sorry, papa.”

wilfried stretches out his arm, twisting it to check the watch circling his wrist.

“it’s nearly time. just about 10 minutes ‘til we have to leave.”

kylian feels a soft tremble oscillate through his skin and he fans himself as if it does anything. his father watches him as he does so, grinning.

“you remind me of how i was,” wilfried recounts, sitting down on the edge of the bed. “almost had a panic attack before we left.”

kylian looks at him, mildly intrigued, “really?”

“the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree, kylian,” ethan jokes as he claps his brother on the shoulder, and it makes kylian shake his head, smiling. 

“it’s normal, ethan,” their father corrects, “it’ll be you soon.”

kylian turns to ethan, whose eyes trace elsewhere as he begins to blush. he chuckles at the sight, poking his brother’s cheek.

“don’t be shy now,” kylian says as he smirks and ethan fights back his own grin, nudging his brother’s touch away. 

wilfried watches on and his heart feels heavy in his chest. just one son left. he can’t believe it. 

he retains himself from getting overly emotional, ascending from his seat, “we should get going now. your mum will be angry if we don’t get there on time, you know her.”

kylian and ethan emit sounds of agreement, walking to the door. ethan exits first, and kylian stays behind trying to gather as much composure as he can.

“i’m proud of you, kylian,” his father voices, and it bleeds so much joy and pride that kylian begins to feel choked up. 

“thank you, papa,” kylian shakily expresses. he attempts to shake off the nerves, yet it proves to be fruitless, again. 

“god- i feel like i’m about to pass out.”

“it’s all normal, kylian. you’ll be fine, i can assure you.”

“i know, but,” he pauses, shutting his eyes for a few seconds, “i don’t think i’ll survive seeing [y/n] in her dress.”

wilfried grins so widely, he feels his cheek muscles ache. like father, like son.

“believe me, i know.”

he’s absolutely trembling. it’s so palpable that one of his groomsmen, brice, has checked on him at least twice now. he had responded with the usual, automated affirmative that he’s fine, but he truly is anything but. it’s been more than 5 minutes since the service was supposed to start, but the bride, his bride, was yet to arrive. 

he glances at his father who looks back at him, and his face doesn’t release his smile. it’s subtle reassurance, and he musters a small smile back just as the hall doors begin to glide open with an old rumble. 

and kylian swears his heart stops. he can’t hear the congregation stand and turn as she proceeds down the aisle. he can’t feel his mind frenzy, even though he knows it does, nor can he feel his hands that will, soon, bear the weight of the unifying ring. his eyes are stuck, stitched to the sight of his to-be wife completely encompassed in an ethereal cloud of white, and for a second, he thinks he’s being visited by an angel from heaven. 

before he knows it, he’s crying. tears of abundant happiness overflow as much as he tries to blink them away but he allows them to because he finds it almost prohibited to look away. ethan stands beside him, handing him a handkerchief, and he’s ever so grateful for his grounding presence right there and then. 

“she’s beautiful. so, so beautiful,” he mutters in tangent. his heart quickens the nearer she gets and he senses ethan bringing a hand to his back. 

then she stands right in front of him. and he stares. stares for what seems like centuries that pass until his brother whispers in his ear, “remove her veil, kylian. i have to go.”

it spurs his movement, shaking him from his reverie, and both hands, vibrating, pinch the sides of the lace, lifting and placing it behind her hair. 

he feels like he’s punched. again.

she smiles so gorgeously at him, and it’s like he’s fallen in love all over again. 

“hi.”

he breathes out slowly, gently interlocking their hands.

“hey.”

the priest begins his welcome and the usual protocol. when he asks the crowd if there were to be any objections, he holds his breath. he’s not aware of anyone being against them, but he knows that it happens more than one could think. silences engulfs the room and the priest, to his relief, breaks it as he proceeds with the service. 

his mind and ears block out everything after that and his gaze never leaves [y/n]’s otherworldly stature. every now and then, he squeezes her hands, just to make sure she’s really here, and she always returns the gesture, as if she reads his mind. 

he’s dazed when a hand comes up to touch his cheek, and his conscience zooms back into the present. 

“you with me, love?”

he nods absentmindedly and the congregation collectively chuckle at him. 

“i think you’ll have to say it again,” [y/n] jokingly tells the priest, and kylian, eyes wide, turns to him.

“i missed the vows?”

“it’s okay, kylian,” he smiles gently, “i’ll read them out again.”

kylian nods, this time, unmasking his ears to hear the words that he knows he’ll agree to wholeheartedly.

his response is instantaneous, “i do.”

i’d def recommend it for digital painting! since it’s an old model you’d prob be able to get a discount for it, or find a used one in good condition 👍👍 the screen size is sometimes excessive for me, i think the 11in model or anything smaller would work fine. only concern there would be functionality and memory, bc digital painting is very storage taxing

i’ve been using this guy for four years and she’s holding up very well. i’ve noticed that the battery is less effective (draining quicker, charging slower, etc) but it hasn’t severely inebriated my painting practice

i used to have a paper feel screen protector for it, but for the past year i’ve taken it off. i think there was just an adjustment period from traditional to digital and i hated the slippery screen, but i noticed it wore down my pen nib really quickly lol. now i use a nib with a metal tip (kinda looks like a mechanical pencil tip) and the smoothness doesn’t bother me as much. just took some time getting used to

smth abt digital painting on procreate/ipad that i both hate and love is the color display. apple color display is super good, almost too good… laptop/phone screens don’t match up and i find myself editing things for posts or printing lol. important to note, apple specifically functions in their own RGB scale, so exporting files from procreate preserves that color profile. it’s not compatible with printing, sharing, or anything LOL so be careful to convert things to sRGB (learned this the very hard way…)

i do hate procreate sometimes because their DPI is just. SOOOO low. if you transform or rotate anything then it pixelates 😭 i enabled all the hacks and nothing helped. nowadays i set up my canvas to be 3k+ pixels on at least one axis and 600dpi, it’s marginally better but i def do adjust my process to avoid any transformations 😞 maybe its just particularly bad for my style bc i like my details n Things all over the place but yeaaa prolly the biggest pitfall for ipad/procreate

another note (not rlly digital art related), i pretty much just use my ipad for digital painting, gaming sometimes (i had a crazy genshin/hsr phase), note taking on pdfs whtv. it prolly averages to ~2.5 hours per day, which isn’t a lot. so idk if you plan to use an ipad more intensively (ik some pals who deck out their ipad and basically use it as a laptop), then aforementioned problems might be a much larger issue

this got suuuuper long i apologize but all in all, ipad is def good for digital painting! it’s accessible, customizable, transportable (even with my massive 13in screen LOOOOL), and worth :) but at the end of the day, it’s a tool and its utility is what you make of it. hope i could help!

Talk Garden Vol.#12‼️~In Search of the Best Pillow of My Life~

Vol. 12 of "Wakana's Talk Garden" has just been uploaded! ＼＼\٩( 'ω' )و //／／

This time, I was able to hear a lot of very interesting stories about everyone's pillow situation at home 😍 Seems like quite a lot of people have tried using a so-called "custom-made pillow" 😳 But many of you are also overwhelmed by the sheer endless choice of pillows so you just end up using a traditional Japanese pillow or even just a bath-towel. The most common choice was definitely a "buckwheat pillow" 😳 I was surprised! I didn't really know much about them 😂 I had the impression that buckwheat pillows were packed full and even if you reduced the contents, they would be kind of lumpy and difficult to sleep on… I'm sorry 🤣 I looked into it and it wasn't what I thought it would be! 😳 It wasn't at all the super high shogun pillow I had imagined😂 Apparently, it doesn't lose its shape even when you turn over in your sleep, and the buckwheat helps to absorb moisture and release heat, so it doesn't get hot even in the summer. It seems that buckwheat pillows are still popular to this day😃

I'm kind of… intrigued!! 😳💓But…I already have so many old and current pillows …(Look at this tower of tears made up of pillows I tried out through trial and error, unwilling to give up on them) There's no way I can make this tower any taller… for the time being🥺

By the way, the new pillow I bought last month has now made it into main line-up but I still feel like I need to improve my sleeping style. It's a medical pillow for children. It's really small. The other pillow in my main line-up is this one here. The "Dr.Recommended Pillow for Shoulder and Neck Support". ↑ You can adjust the height by adding or removing stuffing, just like with buckwheat pillows! (It comes with a lot of extra pipes like these.) I've reduced the stuffing quite a bit so the pillow is rather flat but it still doesn't feel right so I'm considering adding more pipes.

What I learned from everyone's messages this time is that it's really important to find a good match for your mattress/futon… I realised it's hard to judge a pillow just by its appearance 🤔 Even if it's custom-made, you might not know unless you try it out in an environment similar to the one you usually sleep in 😞 The other thing is the position of the pillow! Personally, I put my pillow rather high up so my head is barely on the pillow 🤔But the troth is, your entire head and even your shoulders should rest on the pillow🤔I tried it last night and my neck was fine but the area around my shoulder blades was really stiff 😂 It's difficult… 😭My pillow journey continues!! I hope we can all find the "best pillow of our life!!"･:*+.(( °ω° ))/.:+

About myself and my personality.. After you get to know each other better, I'm sure that if you grab his arm to go for a walk or take a longer walk than usual, his heart would race just to talk, the first few times he would never expect it.

I can totally see him giving you makeup or clothes that you see while on a date and you stare at them for more than 3 seconds, yes, that's enough to make him want to buy it from you. At first he would be a little more embarrassed, but then he would put it together with short letters, maybe thanking you for something or just spoiling you with sweet words.

okay oshi no ko s2 (halfway check) i forgot to post this but whatever

im not 😭 well versed in analysis 😞 but i have many many thoughts that i will try to flesh out

starting with the basic - the animation had me hooked on the first episode but it truly is so beautiful. i absolutely cannot move my eyes away from the screen and i love how different styles are used together. they make it work in a reaaaallly good and smooth way - ESPECIALLY THE TRANSITIONS, they’re just chefs kiss. 

it is mostly goofy which i love - the banter, and the love triangle, the rivalry, how pathetic the director is (i love him hes so real) its so fun to watch!! but what appeals to me most is the darker scenes where they focus on highlighting the shitty and gritty details hidden in all these professions, and obviously on aqua’s psyche + (now revealed) ptsd. 

sidenote : i love the relationship between abiko and yoriko, theyre absolute cuties 🥹

okay onto Aqua!!! the more they go into detail about his memories the more it hurts. like the scene where u see his tiny hand in hers ill actually rip my fucking heart out 😭😭

his relationship with Akane has so much to unpack but she’s so fucking smart. it blows my mind how easily she pieced the puzzle together despite how little clues Aqua TRULY gave her. she’s crazy talented and when she imitated Ai???? wow. she also matches his freak so well like “lets kill him together. you must have a reason right? ill help carry your pain” INSANE DIALOGUE.

and omg with kana-chan!! she’s soooo adorable i love her little jealousy complex over him 😭 i kinda really hope they’re endgame just because i love her sm.. 

AND RUBY!! interested to see how the idol group progresses obviously but it’s soooooo intriguing to see the little glimpses of what shes truly like after Ai’s murder.. aqua thinks she’s overcome it but has she really? that one scene - “my brother wouldnt do anything that would risk getting a teenager pregnant” says theres a lot more to ruby than what meets the eye so far… are they both trying to appear fine so they dont worry the other? idk.

I was recently diagnosed with PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder) and vitiligo (autoimmune skin disease), the latter of which also causes you to not only lose pigment in your skin, but also your hair, and could cause premature white streaks ... I have a white streak like Rogue, with my hair going white since I was 21, on this note. 😳

I am really feeling the melancholic features of the PMDD, and having mood swings on top of being lethargic, which is also affected by being sickly again ... I kept saying I feel like I have covid again, and recently Micky found out he was at a table read with ppl who have covid, but didn't find out until after the fact. Bogus. 😞

The good news is all my lab tests came back okay, but the bad news is I can't go on birth control for PMDD, cos I have menses migraines and seizures. The OB-GYN doctor said BC doesn't help PMDD anyway, regarding the darker impulses, and that only a SSRI can. I'm on a SNRI, and thankfully found out the one I'm on does help with PMDD, but it still sucks I can't lessen the agony. Guess I'll need better coping skills, but it's kinda hard when I feel like I'm losing control of my life during PMDD days. 😔

I have a referral to follow up with the neurologist again, and I'll try to do the sleep study this time around. My convulsions are bothering me while awake now, not just when sleeping or trying to sleep. *sigh* 😔

I'm insecure about having vitiligo now, I'll need to see a dermatologist about it, which I've been meaning to do, since I'm still concerned about my butterfly rash, which is a big reason I won't go out in cold weather, and try to avoid sunlight which I'm allergic to, it seems, as I get itchy all over, break out in rashes, etc. and my face will have a flare up, and that makes me really insecure.

I also need to see an optician for my eyesight. It would be kinda neat to wear eye contacts, I always wanted green ones, and I saw a super adorable pair of glasses online I wanna get, they're totally my cutesy, colourful style! 😻

I'm not sure if I still have to do an EKG? I can't get in touch with primary care, and was actually rejected when I tried to get an emergency appointment. 😔

My chest X-ray had shown nothing bad, so maybe that's why I haven't heard or seen anything about an order for an EKG? I still have the weird chest pains, so I'd still like to get one, though ... Micky thinks they turned my request for an emergency appointment down cos my symptoms match long covid, and nobody knows how to treat them. 😔

Right now you were styling a wig that you have been dying to do for the past month but due to your laziness, you pushed it off multiple times. You decided to do a green color because your boyfriend, Izuku, also has green hair. You just wanted to match with him for his birthday tomorrow. While the dye was setting, you hear your phone ding and see that Izuku texted you.

Izzy💚- Babe are you busy? Can I come over, I'm bored😞

You cursed under your breath because that dye was nowhere near finished, but you didn't want to say no to your sweet boyfriend since he hasn't come over in the past two days. So you hid your hair in the bathroom and put the handmade "Hair in Progress" sign on the door so he wouldn't go in. You wrapped your hair in a neat bun and straightened things around the room before laying down and texting him back.

You - Of course, Izzy, just knock before you come in.

Izuku was over in less than 5 minutes, meaning he was probably in Katsuki's dorm playing the game or arguing about who's the better quarterback even though neither one of them are. Shoto is, but you'll never tell them that. You heard three knocks on your room door before it opened, revealing your freckled-faced boyfriend. He was dressed down since he didn't really have classes today. Black wifebeater, black sweats, Nike slides, hair all wild, and a thick gold chain adorning his tan neck.

"How you look good without even trying, Izzy?", his cheeks turned red when you gently pulled him in by his chain, closing the door behind him, “You don’t hear me talkin’ to you, baby?”

“I do hear you, I just don’t know how you want me to answer that”, he gave you a smile, pushing you back on the bed, and proceeded to lay his head on your chest, “I just threw on some clothes. I personally think I look like shit.”

You hit him on the head, making him groan.

“You look fine as hell. And you smell good. What you got on?”, you sniffed his hair and neck making him laugh.

“I stole Mina’s Mango Shea Butter. She’ll kill me but it’s worth it”, all of sudden Izuku got from on top of you and started to rummage through your snack drawer, “Can I have your chips?”

“No, fat ass. You ate all my chips the last time you were here.”, you said as you snatched the chips out of his hand, leading to him glaring at you.

“You shouldn’t be talking to the birthday boy like that. I should get anything I want.”, he pouted.

He knew you were a sucker for his pouting. I mean there were times where you did say no, but since his birthday was getting closer, you couldn’t say no to him. You treated his birthdays like they were your own. So he asked for anything he wanted and he knew you would give it to him. No matter how small or big. Rolling your eyes with an exasperated sigh, you threw the chips in his lap.

“Take 'em, you big baby.”, he smiled at you before stuffing his face. He settled in your bed next to you, grabbing your remote to scroll through Netflix. While distracted, you just stared at him.

You really loved this boy. You loved his freckles, his green eyes, his broad body, his crooked fingers, his wild hair, his everything. This would be the 2nd birthday that you spent with him which would make it 2 years since you guys have been together. It was a lot of ups and downs, arguing, cuddling, crying, and everything else in the relationship book. But all in all you and Izuku always came back together because you both weren't the type to give up. Especially if you both know it can be fixed.

His birthday was one of your favorite days. Why? Well because you simply cherish the day he was born. He was quite literally the best boyfriend you ever had. Now your past relationships weren't all bad. You actually had some pretty decent partners, but Izuku was just different. He just gave you a different feeling than the rest of your past relationships.

"You thinking hard over there, bun?", Izuku whispered, still focusing on the t.v. screen. He couldn't find anything so he just put on Twilight since he knows that what you were gonna pick anyway.

"Izzy, you real pretty, you know that?", he laughed lightly.

"You tell me that every day, gorgeous.", you shuffled around before sitting up slightly, resting your head on your palm.

"Yeah, well I like to speak facts."

Before Izuku could reply, a loud alarm rang through the room. Your body went tense, then you realized that it was your time to rinse out your wig. You scrambled to get up and yelled to Izuku to not come in the bathroom at all, leaving your clueless boyfriend in confusion.

You really hoped your hair turned out perfect.

"Okay, do the layers look right? What about my part, is it crooked?"

"Shut the hell up, bitch. You look good."

"Yeah, that shit nerd might bust his pants when he sees you."

Both Mina and Bakugou were in your dorm helping you with your hair and outfit for the night. You wanted to look perfect for Izuku's day because if you didn't, you just might cry. For your hair, it was styled as a middle part ombré from black transitioning to green along with some stacked layers with bumped ends. Your hair looked absolutely perfect but your nerves made you think that something just had to be wrong. You were so worried about your hair that you didn't notice Bakugou holding an outfit up to you.

"Your hair is fucking fine, idiot. Now go get fucking dressed. Deku keeps blowing up my damn phone.", Bakugou grimaced, shoving the outfit to your chest.

It was a silk black collared button-up a size too big, a dark green sheer ribbed corset top that was sleeveless, a black miniskirt with a small slit on the side, and lastly a pair of dark green strap tie stiletto heels. Thank the higher beings that you have a friend whose parents are literal fashion gods.

"Oh my god...OH MY GOD! Bakugou this is fucking perfect. I'm so glad that we're friends. You're a fucking lifesaver.", your praises would've gone on longer if he didn't growl at you to shut up. You huffed and began to get undressed.

You were finally done and arrived at the high-end club with 20 minutes to spare. You made sure everything was set up correctly, from the condition of the section area to the quality of the alcohol. You saved up a lot of money in order to rent this big section for Izuku's birthday and you'll be damned if even one thing is not up to par. Your man deserved the best and you know Izuku wouldn't give you no half-assed birthday party either.

The club was jumping and all of your boyfriend's uni friends and some of your friends were falling in one by one. Now everyone was just asking where Izuku was. You knew he was coming soon. Shoto texted you that they were pulling up and Izuku was asking him so many questions. Such a curious boyfriend.

Everyone was mingling and chatted but soon averted their attention to the frosted glass door opening. In walked in Shoto followed by your shell-shocked boyfriend.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEKU!"

The whole room cheered crowding around Izuku, patting him on the back, hugging him, and roughing him up a bit. He truly felt loved and was shocked that literally, every one from his past and present showed up for his day. Well besides his past teachers and his parents, but that's beside the point. He didn't think he would be in a high-end club with a balcony view of the whole place for his birthday, but here he is and he is sure to thank the person who he knows did this.

He pushes through his friends, dapping them up and giving them quick hugs, and then, he sees you. The best present he could ask for. All decked out in black and green from the makeup to the shoes. But what really caught his eyes was your hair. The black to green ombré layered look really suited you. Seeing the color green on you really got him going because you looked so good with it.

"Do you like it?", you smirked at Izuku, who was quite literally mesmerized by your attire. He nodded dumbly before kissing you softly.

"Thank you so much, mini me. You really want to be like me, don't you?", he chuckled out.

"Boy please. I just remembered you saying something about how good I would look with green hair.", you said matter of factly while flipping your hair back dramatically. He just shook his head, playfully disappointed, squeezing your waist.

"Thank you so much, bun. This is one of the best birthdays I could ask for.", he kissed you again but it only lasted for a couple of seconds because soon you heard cameras shuttering. You both pulled back and turned to all your friends either gushing at you both or scowling at you (that would be Bakugou and Shinsou). Chuckling lightly, you picked up a bottle of Casamigos and waved it in the air like a bottle girl with Izuku still holding you tight.

"Why the hell y'all staring at us? LET'S POP SOME MUTHAFUCKIN' BOTTLES FOR THE BIRTHDAY BOOOOY!", you yelled out making everyone cheer.

Izuku had a birthday he would never forget and he couldn't thank you more for it.
