you know i don't think "girl bosses" were ever that big of an issue in fiction and the way ppl talk about it in this context sounds like a repackaging of the concept of a "mary sue"
#see people be like 'no the girl failure concept is just a response to the plague of girl bosses' man idfk about that#not rlly relevant but I think the term 'mary sue' was actually a useful descriptor for like. online text roleplays.#because this type of character was a very frequent derailing occurrence in rp forums? sucking the fun out for every1 else#and it was a way to criticize OCs in fanfiction (both ways are how i remember it originally being used? rather than for actual canon chars)#though in the case of fanfiction i think if it was targeted criticism rather than a general discussion of common issues with OCs it was#generally unasked for and needlessly cruel. and also unhelpful.

Species-affirming cybersex. That is all
that's NOT all because I'm gonna break down these concepts and how they work.
species first. reffing chapter 2 of plural respect, system members have self-perceptions that can differ from the body and don't have to resemble things that exist in the outside world - and a shared understanding of this can help you connect. Nonhuman types often shorthand this as "species" to indicate something left field of human - but it practically encompasses impossible-human stuff like "human with a curse" or "human that's a wizard" and inorganics like "sentient computer virus" or "reanimated skeleton" for most use cases - anything physically impossible enough. if you're into shapeshifter language, you might prefer "form" - same difference.
with that in mind let's talk cybering. Cybersex in most of its forms is collaborative fantasy. You're taking "thinking about a hot thing" and extending it to include someone else over the internet somehow. Though valid barebones sexting can be purely something like discussing physically occurring masturbation, it usually involves constructing a scene of some kind and (though its rarely admitted) you're basically collaboratively writing smut fanfiction about you and your hookup.
I think breaking the "this is weird" glass is critical to engage with this properly and prevent mystifying it. yes you are writing self insert oc fiction with a friend over the internet, yes you're gonna be horny about it. and yes omg you DO get to choose the tense case and perspective you prefer to write in this is huge and nobody says it.
Furry ERP communities (owing to a common layer of seperation between the selves) often use third person language, refer to sonas by name, and put dialogue in quotes: (confused, she pokes her friend's arm. "Hello?" she whispers, "Anyone home?") etc etc, providing a clear seperation between OOC and not. You might find this stiff or impersonal or booky - and there's a tonne of variation you can apply to see if it fixes that:
first-person pronouns: (I poke your arm. "Hello?" I whisper. "Anyone home?")
qualify actions instead of dialogue: ([she pokes her friend's arm] hello? is anyone home?) - this also removes hard OOC separation, enabling chitchat
both: ([I poke your arm] hello? is anyone home?)
both while avoiding self-references where possible: (*pokes your arm* hello? is anyone home?)
So sexting gives you a canvas, and because it's collaborative smut writing, it really doesn't require you to adhere to what regular humans do and look and feel like. You can write directly about your metaphysical forms interacting because you're literally out here playing pretend for fun.
It definitely works for some people and doesn't for others, but don't get caught in "what do I write". you can't focus on cybersex being *good*, focus on silly little whims and suggesting whatever comes to your head - start by finishing the sentence "if I had you in a room right now, I'd __". Its a silly little playpen for exploring eachother's sexuality and relationship to themself, just be nice to eachother and run with it.
And, yknow, affirming? well, as long as you communicate well, take the standard safety measures you would for any kink scene, and understand consent applies just as much when you're acting out text - then you can do/pretend/play/perform all kinds of stuff via text cybersex you can't do in-person. It's a great way to connect with these parts of yourself and resulting tendencies, and acquire stupid fantastical kinks about it. All new weird ways to be found (find yourself?) attractive.
Ok. well. unrelated tangent. you CAN do it in person. invoking weird nonhuman or otherwise metaphysical junk in bed is not strictly typing only - for one you can literally bring your phone TO bed and do mixed-media sex where you get to sext *and* get handsy, but that's not even the point. Sexting might make you a sex-fanfic-author but don't forget you can be a sex-wrestler/sex-theatre-performer too - talk to your hookup about the impossible things you'd like to do, and then do things that physically resemble them and you can both enjoy filling in the blanks. Your brain WILL help, if you're thinking about picking someone up with your tentacles and you use your body's arms, you'll naturally want to move them in a different kind of way, and you'll both pick up on it. The more you engage, the more it comes through in how you move. Hell, you can even check verbally if you're understanding things right - "is that your arm" etc etc. It's a more complicated, subtextual language, but it can be a LOT of fun.
Anyway, species-affirming cybersex :)

I added some throw-away characters to the story as plot devices, no they're not oc's and they hold no importance to the story other than providing character development.
This fic contains a lot of scenarios written in Lycaons pov cuz i eat this shit up for breakfast.
I did not intent for this fic to become so long, that i had to split it into different parts. But i'm lowkey kinda happy how it turned out. Sorry for any possible mistakes. Constructive criticism is always appreciated. also, don't mind me adding a drawing i made just for vibes. Enjoy!
Lycaon has been your personal attendant for over a year now, attending to your every wish and request dutifully while you were busy handling your business.
At first Lycaon thought this was just going to be a job like any other, only to be proven wrong rather quickly. To say that both of you hit it off right away would be a slight understatement, it was shocking how good you two got along and understood eachother.
You impressed him with your steadfastness and professionalism when it came to your business. Something that seemed to resonate with him, and not only because your company specializes in custom-made prosthetics for humans and thirens alike. Even though this was what originally caught his attention, since his own mechanical legs were quite difficult to overlook.
Said mechanical legs were also the reason what made him so invested to support you where he could. A wish to see you succeed because your work greatly benefited other people - people just like him.
When you one day asked him if he could accompany you for a business trip to meet potential new investors, he accepted immediately without a second thought.
So with your ever so attentive right hand always by your side, you got in your car and were on your way.
---~---
Lycaon wanted to make your trip as enjoyable and comfortable for you as he possibly could, this is what you hired Victoria housekeeping for after all. Making sure your every desire was satisfied, and your every wish fulfilled was his duty to you...
So now imagine his sheer discontent at the current situation as he was forced to watch you awkwardly eat, or at least tried to eat the food you had on your plate without it coming back up.
"Caviar, what a pretentious meal" he had thought, clearly he would have made something better for you instead of whatever your plate was currently punishing you with. But the awful food wasn't the only thing what made this meal so infuriating, but rather the person on the other side of the table. A rich business man who had invited you to dinner a day prior to the planned gala which was the main reason of your trip.
If it were him, he would have declined the invitation. However, you hoped to draw a benefit out of the invitation - wanting to win this new investor for your cause.
Yesterday he had respected, if not even praised you for your decision. But right now he hoped you would throw your plate at said investor's face, good manners be damned. The short man, who barely didn't reach to Lycaon's chest, was ranting on and on about his achievements, trying oh so desperately to impress you on a more private level instead of the professional setting his earlier sent, very formal invitation was supposed to set up. And what was even more painful was not this poor excuse of a meal, or the way that man's voice hurt in Lycaon's ears, it was the way how he treated you.
He has interrupted you at least 5 times now, shooting down any of your advances to steer the conversation into what you were originally here for, and he grew more frustrated by the second.
"Of course I'm aware of the common folk's suffering, I myself invested a pretty penny in the research of joint and hip replacements, even going as far as to pay for a dozen surgeries for people who couldn't afford it, out of my own pocket i might add" He bragged, clearly nothing more than empty words in an attempt to woe you.
"That's wonderful, I'm glad you see the importance of our cause, I'm thankful that you want to support us as an investor-" you once again tried to redirect the conversation... "naturally I couldn't say no to such a stunning young Lady such as yourself" ...but once again failed.
Lycaons ear flicked in annoyance as your host continued to shamelessly flirt with you, while he was forced to listen.
Even though it is shameful and rather scandalous for Lycaon to admit, he has indeed developed feelings for you.
Feelings that go far beyond that of those an attendant should have for their employer but he couldn't help himself but be in awe of you. Of how you're able to be so strong and yet so kind, so strict and yet so graceful, so serious and yet so playful, the later a side only he gets to see when you allow him to indulge in the trust and friendship you have built with him.
And yet, both of you were once again forced to listen to another audition of your host's self-indulgent rambling.
"I was honestly surprised when you showed up earlier" he said suddenly, "how so?" You replied, politely putting down your fork as you reached for your drink hoping to wash the awful taste off your tongue it seems "In all honesty, I would have expected a man to show up instead of a woman" the man across from you spoke, and you grimaced clearly not only because of your drinks taste that was ordered for you by your host, insisting you drink some expensive wine with him, but also because of the sheer rudeness of the others answer. "Is that so?" You put down your glass and Lycaon had to supress a growl that threatened to escape his throat.
"Don't take this the wrong way sweetheart, it's just surprising nowadays to see a woman running a succesful business that doesn't include fashion or make-up" you briefly closed your eyes and took in a silent breath while Lycaon clenched his fist behind his back. "Times have definitely changed, Mr. Goldman" you replied, trying to stay polite despite the sexism thrown your way.
Lycaon on the other hand, tried to come up with any sort of excuse to get you out of this awful situation, clenching his jaw so painfully hard he was surprised his teeth didn't crack under the pressure. Clearly this man didn't see eye to eye with you, treating you like a trophy he's trying to win, completely disregarding and undermining your achievements and reducing you to nothing more than a pretty face.
How disgusting he thought.
"Please allow me to invite you to a party tonight, a pretty little thing like you would fit in just right" he shot a wink your way and Lycaon swore he saw you shudder for a moment. "But you can't bring him" Mr. Goldman said, using his fork to point at Lycaon. "Why does it bother you so?" You asked, now having completely abandoned the polite smile you wore just a few seconds ago. "It's a party of class of course, my apologies miss, but he doesn't fit in with the rest" Lycaon shot him a quick glare "he'd have to stay outside with the other pets" he felt his blood boiling, he's just about had it with this pretentious, condescending and sexist piece of shit.
However, he straightened his posture, remaining polite and professional. He gave you a quick glance as a silent way of asking for permission to make a break for the exit with you, maybe kicking that wimp across the room on his way out.
But his swirling thoughts were interrupted by you gently pushing your chair back and standing up.
"My apologies but I'm afraid I won't be able to attend then..." you spoke firm but still polite "...Lycaon is to remain by my side" you spoke and Lycaons heart skipped a beat. "Surely you can find someone else to accompany you for tonight miss y/n" your host argued, "I'm afraid not Mr. Goldman" you spoke, giving Lycaon a quick glance and the permission he needed.
With a small flash of satisfaction thrumming through his veins, he swiftly moved towards the door, opening it for you, "this way please." He said, bowing politely.
You grabbed your purse and made your way towards the door, making sure to give your was-host another glare on your way out. "Furthermore, Lycaon is not a pet" you said, not even trying to hide your discontent at the other's comment towards your companion.
"We'll see each other tomorrow at the gala, have a pleasant day Mr. Goldman" you replied as the door fell shut behind you and Lycaon.
---~---
The ride back to the vacation home you were currently residing in was quiet. Lycaon noticed that you seemed to be absorbed in your thoughts, possibly reflecting on anything that had happened.
He wanted to say something to ease your nerves, but couldn't find the right words. So instead, he opted to let you have the time you needed to wrap your head around the situation and how to act from here, since Mr. Goldman definitely didn't seem like a reliable support for your company or any other situation for that matter.
You came to a stop at a red light, and he couldn't help but glance at you again, at the way the sun cast a gentle glow on the features of your face and the way it almost seemed to make your hair shine in response to it's gentle rays of light. He once again finds himself greatly impressed by you, with the way you stood firmly to your standards and morals, how you remained patient and professional even though that filth didn't deserve an ounce of your kindness. However, more so than anything, it is the words you spoke at that moment that still vividly swirl in his mind,
"Lycaon is to remain by my side."
He loved the way you said it, perfectly capturing his own desire.
It is quite apparent to him that he no longer views his current situation as a job, he enjoys it way too much for that, and yet a small piece of his consciousness still berated him for acting like a love drunk puppy for so openly and unabashedly admiring you. You seemed to notice his gaze lingering on you and turned your head to look at him - but he had looked away just at that moment so you wouldn't notice how starstruck he appeared, at least he hoped you didn't. And yet, a small smile still found a way onto his lips.
He pulled into the driveway of your current abode, he felt glad to be back so early, despite the given turn of events at your "dinner."
While he got out, walking over to your side of the car to open the door for you, he already thought about what he could do to get your mind off that incident to at least make your day end on a positive Note.
Both of you entered the spacious place you and him called home for the time being. You sighed in relieve as you kicked off your high heels, whining at your terribly sore feet. You were glad this day was finally over, even though you felt all the more anxious about tomorrow's gala.
With your meteoric rise to fame also came a lot of pressure. The demand for your services and products rose daily. So much so that you had to expand your production efforts, almost doubling your expenses in the process. Dispite that, your manufacturing department was still slowly starting to get overwhelmed. However, the need for new employees couldn't be met without the necessary funding.
You made your way towards the kitchen, watching Lycaon as he was already preparing a proper dinner for you both. "Do you need help by any chance" you asked, even though you already knew the answer "I appreciate your offer master, but there is no need" yup, thought so "why don't you sit down in the livingroom and relax master, you had a straining day, and deserve a break." He said, shifting his attention back to cooking, "I shall inform you once dinner is ready"
Lycaon has always been that way, ever since he'd started working for you. But the more time you two spend together, the closer you two became, forming quite the strong friendship with eachother. Even though you hoped it would be more than that.
If you're being fully honest, you had developed a crush on the wolfish gentleman for quite some time now.
Okay, it might be more than just a little crush with the way he makes your heart race when he looks at you, or your head all dizzy with euphoria when he speaks with you while his deep voice still sends pleasant shivers down your spine.
He was easy to talk to and always had an open ear. Even though you did feel guilty by the way he was constantly spoiling you, wanting absolutely nothing more in return than your smile. In return, you started to praise him where you could, swooning over the way his ears tend to flick or the way his tail would wag a little, subtly portraying his feelings to you dispite his efforts to stay professional. You enjoyed when he was happy, so much so that you would always have to fight the urge to ask him if he would allow you to pet him.
"Dinner is served master"
---~---
After dinner, you found yourself sitting at the small bar of your kitchen. A glass martini Lycaon prepared for you in your hand as you engaged in riveting conversation with him, gossiping about your shared experience with Mr. Goldman as he did the dishes.
"And that awful vest of his? Olive green with orange? I don't think" you laughed and Lycaon secretly preened at the sound. "I was terribly tempted to throw my drink at him let me tell you, a shot of red would have been nothing short of a favor" you replied, and he nodded fully agreeing "unfortunately it wouldn't have made his face any more tolerable" he responded "much less his nasty attitude." Lycaon was still very sour of the other man's behaviour towards you. However, he felt his heart soaring when he remembered how you had stood up for him. "Well, to be fair, it sure would have distracted from it at least." You said before chugging the rest of your drink "even if it would have enraged him?" He asked, putting a clean plate to the side as he grabbed the next. You chuckled, "And even so, I can always count on you to protect me, can I not?" His tail began to wag a little at your words, and you were satisfied with yourself at his reaction, "Absolutely, master."
"Still, I applaud you for staying as calm as you did" Lycaon admitted, and you let out a sigh, his ears immediately perking up at the sound. "My apologies if I'm prying master" he turned his head to look at you, your own resting in your hand, "are you nervous about tomorrow's gala?" He asked, slight concern shining through his oh so polished demeanor.
"A little bit, not gonna lie" you admitted, "I just hope there won't be more people like him at the gala tomorrow" you said. A silence coming over you, rage still bubbling in your gut when you remembered how Mr. Goldman had compared Lycaon to a pet. "Eh, and even so, I hope they have better food at least" you said "I mean, caviar? Really? That's way too cliché" he smiled, concerned at you spacing out but still glad to know you shared the same opinion as him.
He was aware of your worries.
Your financial situation being the topic at every meeting, and he worried greatly for your health as he watched you plunge yourself into your work, day after day without a break. He remembered the days when he had to force you to take a break, sleep or even eat something. He desperately wanted to save you from the burnout that slowly creeped up on you.
"I think I'll be hitting the hay" you said through a yawn, getting up from where you'd been sitting. Lycaon looked at you as he pondered how he could ease your worries, even if just for a little.
He dried off his hands and walked around the kitchen counter, "could you spare one more moment for me, master?" He asked, and you turned around, seeing him approaching. "Of course, what's up?" He didn't speak, instead he moved and gently pulled you into an embrace.
It wasn't restraining nor unpleasant, it was comforting and warm as you felt his arms wrap around you. "Don't worry master, I'm sure your hard work will pay off at tomorrow's gala" he spoke, low and gentle. You hugged him back, hearing faint rustling which you suspected to be his wagging tail.
Both of you pulled back, as this tender moment you and Lycaon shared slowly came to an end, even tho neither of you wanted it to. Both of you decided to retire for the night, tomorrow would be a straining day for the both of you after all.
Sleep would come quickly for you thanks to that bit of alcohol in your system, while Lycaon would lay awake for just a little longer, thinking about you as he tried to memorize the way you felt in his arms, letting this one certain sentence replay in his mind once again as he drifted off to sleep.
Lycaon is to remain by my side.
---~---
Everything was still dead silent as your eyes cracked open. You blinked a few times, wondering what time it was as you reached for your phone on the bedside table. Glancing at the display, as the discomfort from the sudden brightness slowly faded.
You sighed heavily as you looked at the daunting digits, solidifying your suspicion.
3:27 am
You tossed and turned, but couldn't find the comforting sleep you yearned for. Your stomache growled and you pondered going for a midnight snack.
With a sigh, you sat up and stretched, cringing at the cracking sound of your joints. Rubbing your eyes, you swung your legs out of bed and made your way towards the kitchen to make yourself a much-needed midnight snack.
You cussed out the sandman for once again having ghosted you as you rounded the corner, a flash of white catching your eye, and you stopped. Even though you knew that Lycaon was definitely an early bird type of person, you still didn't expected to find him standing in the kitchen at the same ungodly hour. The soft light of the opened refrigerator filling the room as you peaked around the corner, taking in his appearance.
It was surprising to see your wolfish butler, who was normally so professional and serious about how he presented himself to others, stumble shirtless and rather sleep dazed through the kitchen. His mechanical feet clacking on the ground and his tail swishing behind him as he moved around.
Never in the entire time he has worked for you have you ever seen him out of uniform, and the more you took in his disheveled appearance and his strong and muscular body, the less you seemed to care to admit that he was painfully handsome.
Ah hell, smocking hot would be a better fit. Naturally you assumed he was working out, but you had no idea your personal attendant was this ripped. You felt a bit embarrassed as you continued gawk at your friend and buttler's biceps and abs. You caught a glimpse of his teeth as he yawned, further noticing how different he looked without his muzzle and eye patch.
You let your gaze wander down to his prosthetics, slowly seeming to sober up, as you wondered what had happened to him that left him in such a state. From missing arms to missing legs, you had encountered your fair share of injuries since starting your business, but never had you asked what had happened before. Neither your clients and especially not Lycaon not wanting to pry into his past. Too afraid of accidentally offending him by reopening past wounds, and yet you couldn't help but wonder how he must feel. loosing one leg must be traumatizing enough, but both?
He closed the refrigerator and the sound of it ripped you out of your trance. You watched him as he scratched the back of his neck seemingly making his way back to bed, and you hoped that sleep still had enough of a grasp on him that he wouldn't notice your presence.
You decided to carefully make your way back to your bedroom as well, as not to embarrass him with a sudden entrance while he was so scarcely dressed. You hoped to actually find sleep again because you couldn't help the feeling that tomorrow would be an awfully difficult day.

Epilogue
Three Months Later
Mingi never expected the world to know about Emilia.
Atiny had always been a passionate, dedicated fandom, and while most of them were overwhelmingly supportive, there were always a few… odd ones. Some fans had been shocked, others heartwarmingly happy for him, and a small percentage had reacted a little too dramatically—posting fake crying videos, writing angsty fanfiction, and even making fake rumors about Emilia.
Still, none of it mattered. Because when Mingi looked at her—whether she was sitting next to him at a quiet café, laughing with his members, or simply holding his hand like it was the most natural thing in the world—he knew she was worth all of it.
His girlfriend.
And tonight, he was going to tell her exactly how much she meant to him.
Ateez’s Dorm
"Noah, Sophie, please tell me you’re as disgusted as I am," Wooyoung groaned, throwing his head back dramatically.
Noah smirked. "Oh, absolutely."
Sophie crossed her arms, nodding. "It’s sickening."
Mingi frowned. "What is?"
Wooyoung pointed aggressively. "The way you look at her."
Mingi blinked. "How do I look at her?"
"Like a lovesick puppy," Sophie deadpanned.
"Like she hung the damn moon," San added.
"And like you would literally combust if she stopped holding your hand for five seconds," Yunho finished.
Mingi huffed. "That’s ridiculous—"
Emilia pulled her hand away just to test the theory.
Mingi immediately grabbed it back, frowning. "No."
Laughter exploded around the room.
Jongho smirked. "Yeah. Not in love at all."
Mingi groaned, dropping his head onto Emilia’s shoulder. "I hate all of you."
Emilia giggled, running a hand through his hair. "They’re just jealous."
Noah scoffed. "Uh, no. I just still think we should have broken his other knee before forgiving him."
Sophie sighed. "It’s honestly my biggest regret."
Mingi lifted his head to look at Emilia. "Are they serious?"
She patted his chest. "Don’t worry, babe. I won’t let them."
Noah hummed thoughtfully. "Yet."
Mingi groaned again while the rest of the room erupted into laughter.
Despite the teasing, he knew he was surrounded by people who genuinely cared—for both him and Emilia.
And that meant everything.
°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°
The city lights shimmered as Mingi led Emilia through a quiet part of town, their fingers intertwined.
"I can't believe you wouldn't tell me where we are going," Emilia teased, squeezing his hand.
Mingi grinned. "Where’s the fun in ruining the surprise?"
She rolled her eyes but let him pull her along.
Eventually, they stopped in front of a small rooftop garden. The place was empty, aside from a few fairy lights twinkling above them and a cozy blanket spread out in the center.
Emilia blinked in surprise. "Did you… set this up?"
Mingi rubbed the back of his neck. "Well… yeah."
A slow, warm smile spread across her face. "You’re kind of amazing, you know that?"
His ears turned pink. "I try."
They sat down together, the city stretching out beneath them, a world of lights and sounds just far enough away to feel like they were in their own little bubble.
For a while, they just talked—about everything and nothing.
And then, Mingi took a deep breath. "I need to tell you something."
Emilia turned to him, curious. "Okay?"
He hesitated for just a second, then met her gaze. "I love you."
Her breath caught.
Mingi let out a nervous chuckle. "I think I’ve loved you for a while. Maybe since the first time I saw you in that ridiculous outfit in Frankfurt—when we had those hotel problems." He grinned at the memory. "You looked ridiculous. And adorable. And like someone I wanted to know."
Emilia stared at him, her eyes wide and shining in the dim light.
"You don’t have to say it back," Mingi rushed to add. "I just… I needed you to know."
For a second, she didn’t say anything.
Then, without warning, she grabbed his hoodie and kissed him.
Mingi barely had time to react before she was in his lap, pressing against him with a kind of urgency that made his heart race. He groaned softly, arms tightening around her, deepening the kiss.
She tasted sweet—like the strawberries they had eaten earlier and something that was just her.
When they finally pulled apart, Emilia pressed her forehead against his, breathless.
"I love you too," she whispered.
Mingi felt like the entire universe had just shifted.
He didn’t say anything. He just kissed her again.
Because this was everything.
Everything he never thought he’d have.
And now, he’d never let it go.
A/n: And that’s a wrap! 🎉
I can’t believe this story has come to an end—it’s been such a journey, and I’ve loved every second of bringing Mingi and Emilia’s story to life.
And to all of you—thank you for reading. I hope this story brought you some joy, some laughs, and maybe even made you believe a little more in love, fate, and happy endings.
Would you like another story next? Another ATEEZ member’s love story? Let me know what you’d love to read! 💕
Until next time! 💖

🥀
Just curious on how it was while writing your story (since it reached such a character limit lol)
And I was wondering if you had any advice for those who wish to write a story like this? (Not the exact same, just how to write characters interacting lol)

🥀 An answer to a question:
It's been difficult— this year's NaNoWriMo didn't go even half as smoothly as last year! Midway through November, I decided to give up on reaching 50k words for the sake of my health. Things shook out in a way that I could take up the challenge again, but by then I had fallen behind on my target word count, and getting back on track was no small task to accomplish. But I've kept at it, and even though I don't like the way this draft is going as I write it, I don't need to. Rough drafts exist to be edited, not to be published! :>
My top pieces of advice when it comes to writing character interacting are to find a way to know how they think, know what they want (and sometimes what they're afraid of) in a given scene, and to give them more depth than the story you're writing explicitly requires.
To write character interactions well, it's important to know how your characters think as well as how they feel. Being aware of what makes them tick is something vital to making them feel like actual people as you write them interacting with others.
In Better the Wool, Narinder is extremely haughty and proud— it's a trait that he's always had, but sank into much deeper after his imprisonment, and defines a lot of his interactions. He looks for ways to boost his ego and will readily belittle others to do that. If you hurt his pride, he'll lash out in response. He always has to get the last word in an argument. He doesn't accept criticism well at all. Egotistical behavior is his bread and butter, and it's largely rooted in shame. He has to act like nothing is his fault, or if it is then it was justified, because it's how he distances himself from his problems. Knowing that makes writing him both in and out of scenes with other characters much easier, and also allows me to recognize that a scene where he strays from his stubborn pride and is undignified and vulnerable will need to have a significant reason for him to behave atypically.
The Lamb, where Narinder is defined by his pride, is defined by her need for control. She is desperate to maintain the peace and unity amongst her followers, and perceives any bump in the status quo as reflecting poorly on her own worthiness as a person. Her need to control people is rooted in a need to keep people around her, as well as herself, safe. She might delegate tasks to others on occasion, but it's a struggle that she only survives out of necessity. Her giving up control of a situation, or even worse, passing it off to someone else entirely, is a choice she would not make lightly, and that's something I keep in mind during every interaction I write for her.
On the subject of knowing what the characters want, knowing what they need in contrast is a great help when writing interactions. Even if Narinder doesn't accept that what he needs is to set his pride down and make amends instead of getting back the Red Crown like he wants, it's always going to be needling away at him in the back of his mind during every interaction he has. This is a method of character development I learned from K. M. Weiland's blog, Helping Writers Become Authors. If you want to learn more about writing a Want vs. a Need, I recommend checking her stuff out!
As for giving characters more depth than your project requires, I like applying this strategy to my OCs the most, but it's relevant in fanfiction as well. I like to think up all sorts of trivia for characters— their favorite food and why they enjoy it (one OC of mine likes brownies with a pretzel crust, but hates brownies without it, because he grew up on his dad's recipe using pretzels and thinks that plain brownies taste bland without it), their thoughts on different concepts like family being the most important thing in one's life (another OC is fundamentally baffled by this idea because her society doesn't have nuclear families and the children in it are raised communally, so it's like asking her if the city she grew up in is the most important thing in her life), etcetera, etcetera. It's a way to get into the characters' heads more and have fun while enriching your understanding of how they perceive and interact with the world around them.

tam is opening writing REQUESTS (free)
CURRENT QUEUE STATUS: 3/3 slots open!!!
These are not commissions, though in some administrative ways they may be treated as such (i.e. a queue with limited slots, attempted adherence to prompts, due dates / limited time turnaround etc.). I will be opening up a queue to write pieces FOR FREE. See below for guidance!
~~
How many slots will be open?
For now I'll be opening three slots at a time. This seems like the most manageable number for me at the moment but could change in the future.
~~
What is the word count limit for requests?
The absolute minimum word count will be 300. The maximum word count offered will likely be 1000, but in general, I'll be shooting for the 500-800 word range.
~~
What kind of requests are you taking?
There are MANY things I'd be very happy to write, so don't feel limited by the will-write list below; anything not specifically blacklisted can be requested, but I reserve the right to turn down any request for any reason at any time.
WILL WRITE:
fanfiction, original fiction, or nonfiction (such as meta)
first, second, or third person
OCs, reader inserts
any non-PWP genre
a variety of formats
most kinks
incest
ao3 categorical archive warnings: rape, underage, graphic violence, character death
WON'T WRITE (BLACKLIST):
real people fiction (rpf) involving anyone who is NOT the requester; I'm willing to write the requester into the story if that is desired
harry potter or any jk rowling content
pure smut (I'm just no good at it)
scat/watersports
woundfucking
MASTERLIST OF MY FANDOMS (wip) (don't feel beholden to this, I'm just providing it for inspiration and reference)
~~
What do I need to include in my request?
The following elements are critical for any request (please ensure they are included!):
characters/ships and what media they're from
a specific scenario
a desired resolution
squicks / do not writes (DNWs)
whether you are OPEN to nsfw content or would prefer all SFW
information about an OC or self-insert: name/nickname, pronouns, physical description and style, personality, relevant backstory points
Optional elements include (I can't make any guarantees but I'll see what fits!):
preferred genres
favorite tropes
any and all additional information about OCs/self-inserts. I'm very interested in every little detail, please share!!
Here are some examples of strong, viable requests:
"please write yusuke and kuwabara from yu yu hakusho having a beach day together with a kiss at the end! I don't like poly, so please don't include that, and I'm not interested in NSFW at this time. I also prefer fluff and friends-to-lovers, and I don't mind if it's first person."
"I request dick grayson and jason todd, both batman characters, training together while jason is robin. it can be open-ended, but there should be a mutual attraction there. jason can be and probably should be underage in this, but not younger than 14. would love to see nsfw content if the mood strikes."
"I'm looking for someone to write for my OC, who is a pokemon trainer based on myself. here's a link (x) to my character's profile on my tumblr. it would be really fun if this OC could be shipped with brock; they're both 15 at the time. I really want them duking it out at a pokemon gym. my character should win and then brock should ask my character on a date. please keep it SFW and pretty vanilla, but I really like flirty text messages, so if you wanted to make textfic part of it, that would be cool."
"can you do some analytical nonfiction about anakin's relationship with droids in star wars, and how it has to do with his history as a slave? I personally think he personifies things that people depersonify because of that, but I'd like to know your take. if you have anything to say about sexual violence please tag it and put it under a read more, that stuff upsets me."
~~
How do I submit a request?
You can submit a request either on or off anon on tumblr, or you can use this google survey!
Notes:
Writing pieces will typically have a turnaround of two weeks or less. This is NOT a guarantee.
Once written, the piece will be posted publicly to my AO3 and I will tag you. Please let me know if you want to remain anonymous! Requests CAN be made anonymously on tumblr, but I won't be able to tag you upon completion, so please make sure to subscribe on AO3!
I will never knowingly use AI for any aspect of my writing.
Please signal boost this post!

This may be an odd question, but I believe you mentioned you got into writing because of rp(or at least into fanfiction?) And I was wondering how you transitioned into writing solo? Most of my writing is/was with a partner, but I've been trying to write on my own, and I've found it incredibly difficult. I'm told that what I write is still good regardless, but I've a hard time both finding enthusiasm for it without a partner to bounce off of or finishing whatever I'm working on.
This might just be a me thing and more to do with being self-critical, but if you have any advice, I'd really appreciate it. I just want to figure out how to enjoy writing again without jumping through weird hoops for motivation.
(You may have already been comfortable writing even before rp and if that's the case, feel free to disregard this question.)
I'd tried to write a bit of fanfic before my RP days with limited success motivating myself, so it really was very much RP that got me the skills and ability to be able to write full-form fics!
But more than mechanical skill, mostly I think the issue you face is very similar to what I struggled with for a while when swapping to writing fanfic, which is that a lot of the reason RP is so easy and rewarding is because it's such a profoundly social activity. You write a few paragraphs and then you get social feedback immediately from your RP partner in the form of chatting about it and/or the RP response you get! With fanfiction, you have to write a whole damn piece or chapter, post it, and then hope that you get comments if you want engagement - and then those comments are inevitably going to be a little bit less personal if, like me, you RP OCs that you put a lot of yourself into rather than pre-existing characters!
The problem with doing things for the sake of extrinsic motivation is that it kills your intrinsic motivation to do those things. This isn't a moral flaw, it's a documented psychological effect! Nowadays I write primarily because I want to see the things I put into the world, but that's fucking easy for me to say when I also have a large reader base and really enthusiastic commentors, isn't it? And it took me a hot minute to figure out how to transition to motivating myself that way rather than because I wanted interaction.
My suggestion is, honestly, to find folks that hype you up! I kinda crested that barrier by getting possessed by writing demons and pounding out like 60k words of insane Hawks-centric character study in one month during the 2020 quarantine, and I was lucky enough that people really liked it and immediately flooded my notifications with the kind of really lovely, long-form comments that my writing style encourages, which isn't really a typical experience. Those folks that hype you up, it is LOVELY if they are your friends, but sometimes what you really need to do is find the small social circle of freaks that are really into whatever niche thing it is that you are writing, and infiltrate their Discord. Ship-specific groups are really good for this! (Especially for rarepairs.)
But a lot of it is really going to be finding the balance of finding supportive people who will feed into your excitement, and also finding that part of yourself that finds the process of writing to be fun. Social activity is still 100% just a necessary part of the human experience, and I myself post snippets of my writing online and on Discord all the time for the little dopamine hit of "Yay! We're enjoying this together!" but it's become something I do because I want to share the joy I already get from writing, not because I'm writing to share it!
Which also means that you should write things that you enjoy writing. ;) Write things you are actually excited about - not just things you want to read, but things you think would be fun to write, and if there are boring parts that you're getting stuck on? Fucking skip them! I am not kidding! You think anybody thought it was a loss that I literally never even mentioned how radiostatic got together for the first time in 666? If they did, nobody's mentioned it, because it wasn't necessary to the story I actually wanted to tell. Literally so goddamn many of my fics start with cold opens because I don't like to bother with exposition until things have already gotten rolling. Fanfiction especially is GREAT for this because people are already familiar with the world you're writing in!
You are writing to entertain yourself! If it's not entertaining, don't fucking write it! Or figure out what about it is boring you, and then write it differently. This will have the splendid side effect of teaching you how to write transitions and also making a fic that is more fun to read. >:)
Anyway, this has gotten quite long, so: I'm sorry that I wasn't able to offer a great deal of advice, because I relate deeply to what you're experiencing but I basically got to speedrun the transition phase. I hope that it was at least a little bit helpful!

Canonicity in the Context of Ships (and Ship Wars)
Essentially, what makes a ship canon? Does it even matter that a ship becomes canon?
So, disclaimer before we start:
1. This is my interpretation of the meaning of "canon" and what it means for a ship to be canon. As always, I'm open to disagreements and constructive criticism, especially if it can tame the constant aggression in some fandom spaces
2. I like ships, but I don't support ship wars because they're all fucking pointless and if you're a grown adult or close to being one and you're still harassing people over ships on the internet, you're a fucking loser
That being said
As we all know, online fandom spaces have developed their own vernacular over the years: canon, fanon, headcanon, OC, AU, OTP, the infamous 'Dead Dove: Do Not Eat', etc. Fandom slang has also evolved since it was first coined. A prime example of that would be the use of the term "lemon" to refer to erotic fanfiction, which while still used, has suffered a sharp decline in favour of the word "smut" (although smut has its own use and meaning outside of fandoms).
The word "canon" is arguably one of the most important words in fandom, since it refers to the official source material from a game, book, TV show, movie, whatever form of media said fandom is about. In essence, it's the official story: what actually happens and what was intended by the creators. Some universes are easily accessible and the canon isn't really subject to much debate. Most TV shows have very straightforward canon: assuming that everything is contained within, let's say, 5 seasons of 22 episodes each, with no spin-offs, movies, or exclusive bonus episodes, the canon of the show will be laid out in these episodes. That's it. Some other fandoms will be much more obscure: think of game franchises such as Resident Evil, where many games have been released over the years, remade, and some have been largely forgotten and can even contradict the current version of events. In this case, it can be much harder to define what canon is, which events are official and still applicable to the story and which should be discarded completely. (And I have to say, as a law student, canon is weirdly reminiscent of the hierarchy of norms, but that's for another day.)
I could discuss the importance of canon in fandoms, but that's irrelevant to the point of this post. Let's talk ships. I don't need to explain to everyone what a ship is. There's no point of contention there. In most media where romance is either dealt with or hinted at, fandoms, and therefore, shippers, will jump at the opportunity to write about or make art of their favourite ship. However, there's always something rearing its ugly head and contributing to the toxic atmosphere in fandoms: ship wars.
Ship wars are in essence extremely simple, and I'm sure we've all been in a fandom that participated in a ship war, whether we were involved in it ourselves or not. Long story short, shippers argue over which ship will become canon. Writers are toying with the idea of two or more major ships and teasing that both have their chances. So, in the end, it's all about who comes out on top and who becomes official.
The canonicity of a ship is a lot more complicated than the canonicity of media itself. I'd argue that even if the canonicity of the story is simple, it's likely that the canonicity of ships will necessarily be harder to draw conclusions about. So you can imagine how complicated canon is when it comes to ships from franchises that barely know their own canon.
Since I've seen a lot of arguments over canon ships in the Resident Evil fandom as of late, and this is what inspired this post, I will be using this example primarily - and since ideally I'd like this post to reach fandoms outside of RE, I'll be explaining and illustrating my examples. Other fandoms and ships might also be referred to.
1. Canon, semi-canon and non-canon
When it comes to ships, there are 3 main ways to describe them:
- Non-canon: quite straightforward. The ship has not officially expressed any desire (even implicit) to get together whatsoever. They may or may not interact in canon, and if they do, there's just no romantic interest there. Non-canon does not necessarily refer to a ship being into each other but not doing anything about it, as this is characterised as:
- Semi-canon: there's something there. Maybe both characters like each other romantically, maybe it's one-sided, maybe there is potential but it could either sail or be ruined completely by Character A's reaction to Character B's feelings. But overall, the general consensus seems to be that semi-canon ships have not acted on their feelings. This definition is not set in stone - we'll come back to it later.
- Canon: yay, your ship has sailed!! The pairing has officially been confirmed. The characters have acted on their feelings and you have won the ship war.
These are the general definitions of canon ships. And if you think they're clear and satisfactory, in what world are you living?
2. Past canon vs current canon
You finally got around to watching the season finale and there it is: Character A and B confessed and kissed. Finally, it's canon, and you can gloat on social media about how you were right all along.
But then it turns out that by the final season, your ship breaks up, and Character A gets with Character C. Even worse, Character A stays with Character C and the show ends with them being officially together. What the fuck.
So, what does that make your ship? It's officially a sunk ship, sure, but what about its canonicity? Should it be considered canon? I mean, they dated for 2 seasons. So technically, there was a period of time when your ship was canon. It just isn't anymore.
This is the first hurdle we meet when trying to define a ship as canon. It all hinges on the when aspect of it. This is also where ship canonicity differs from story canonicity. Storywise, the ship is rooted in canon since they were together at some point. Shipwise, however, they are not canon anymore, since they have broken up. It's canon that they happened, but they themselves aren't canon anymore.
At this point, I would argue that most people consider that a ship that is together by the end of the show/game/movie/book etc., by the end of canon essentially, is canon. Don't worry, we're still far from having solved this.
3. What does it take for a ship to be canon?
You will have noticed by now that, so far, I have instinctively referred to a canon ship as a ship that is together. I'd argue that this is what most people think of when they think of a canon ship.
But what does it mean for a ship to be together? Do we mean that they have to be a couple? Is it marriage, is it a relationship, is it friends with benefits? Or is it a simple kiss and confession? Do they even have to make out, or have sex, or put a label on their relationship?
This is when we venture into the territory of canon vs semi-canon. Earlier, I defined semi-canon as a ship that has feelings for each other, or is one-sided, but no one has acted on their feelings. Mind you, this is the definition provided by the Internet.
Let's say Character A confesses to Character B. Character B feels the same way, but they don't want to get into a relationship right now. The show ends there. I mean, technically, they like each other, right? That much was confirmed. They acted on their feelings by confessing. Technically, that gets them out of semi-canon territory. But does it get them into canon territory? Nothing came out of the confession, really.
We can't in good faith argue that two characters confessing is enough to make them canon, since the term semi-canon also exists, and could very well apply depending on your own definition of it.
The problem lies in defining what it takes for a ship to be canon. If we go back to the very roots of canon, it's confirmation that a ship has an official romantic nature.
Is liking each other enough? Doubtful: if a main character flirts with a minor side character, who reciprocates, does that make them canon? They're into each other. But it would be ridiculous by fandom standards to deem them canon when the side character might never be seen again and has no real bearing on the story.
Truth is, what makes a ship canon fluctuates depending on the standards set by the media itself. If a piece of media is heavily romance-based, canon will most likely be defined by the ship that makes it out in the end, the one that has proclaimed to be a couple. If the piece of media is not keen on romance, and never creates romantic relationships between characters, it might be enough for the fandom to consider canon a pairing that has simply alluded to being into each other.
Whether the last example is good enough reason to hail a ship as canon depends on the fandom and the shippers. Some might think it's a stretch, some might think it's more than enough.
One possibility would be to look at the writers' intention for the pairing, read interviews if they're available, etc. However, most of the time, franchises have changes in writers over the seasons/games/movies, and it gets even worse when you take into account franchises that are adapted from another source material - say, Game of Thrones vs ASOIAF: David Benioff and D.B. Weiss' intentions for the characters certainly differ from George R. R. Martin's intentions.
I'm going to start using actual examples now, to better illustrate my point. I'll be using Resident Evil ships, like I said. RE, despite having constant ship wars, is not famous for making ships canon or focusing on romance at all. The most you'll get is indicators that two characters are into each other or you'll get established relationships that are not subject to ship wars since they have no other love interest (see Mia and Ethan Winters: married couple, established as part of canon and the validity of their relationship with regards to other characters is never questioned). As a matter of fact, you could probably argue that the Winters are the only canon couple in the REverse.
Most RE ship wars happen as a result of Leon ships, the main ones being Aeon (Ada/Leon) vs Cleon (Claire/Leon). There are other Leon ships out there, mainly Chreon (Chris/Leon), Serennedy (Luis/Leon), Leshley/Eagleone (Ashley/Leon), and many more, but they don't engage in ship wars because they have the common sense to be normal human beings about their ships. (Seriously everyone, chill the fuck out.)
Aeon shippers are known for one thing: banging on and on about how their ship is canon - which, in their eyes, automatically discredits all other Leon ships (what's the point of shipping if it isn't to win, right? I'm obviously being sarcastic). Which, knowing the canon nature of Aeon, makes it the perfect test subject for this discussion and post.
Are Ada and Leon into each other? Sure. Ada confessed to falling in love with Leon in OG RE2, they flirted in OG RE4, Resident Evil: Damnation suggests that they have shared at least one night together, and in RE6, Helena guesses that Leon has feelings for Ada. These events, however, have changed in the remakes: Ada no longer confesses to being in love with Leon in RE2R, though she does kiss him to manipulate him, and they don't exactly flirt much in RE4R. But then, by discussing this, we'd end up discussing what is canon in a game franchise plagued by obscure secondary sources of canon, and that's not what I plan on doing here (I also severely lack the extensive knowledge to do that).
Despite all of this, Ada and Leon never actually get together. It's a constant game of cat and mouse, will-they-won't-they, whatever you wanna call it. Since they are on opposite sides of the same fight, it's practically impossible for them to get into a normal, healthy relationship. Going back to what I said about the canonicity of a ship being defined by the standards set by the piece of media itself, you could argue that Aeon is canon by those standards: since they can't get together, it only matters that they have shown reciprocated feelings towards one another.
However, that's not entirely true, is it? RE hasn't set those standards for romance. It doesn't act on ships, but it hasn't deterred romance as a whole: look at Mia and Ethan Winters. It is possible to get into a relationship in RE - now whether it is possible to get a happy ending is entirely less likely.
But I mean, there are other love interests for Leon that aren't on the side of who he's fighting. Look at Claire, or Ashley, or hell even Jill. We can't, as a fandom, reasonably ignore the flirting that went down between Claire and Leon in RE2R (and Infinite Darkness at times) and Leon and Ashley in both OG RE4 (though he does reject her at the end of the OG) and RE4R. And he was probably trying to flirt with Jill a little in Death Island, too - he's a bit of a whore (affectionate).
How do you even define the canonicity of a ship in a universe like RE, in which most characters can't form normal, healthy romantic relationships? Is it enough to kiss/sleep together (Aeon)? Is it enough to unabashedly flirt and to practically be parents to a practically adopted daughter (Cleon)? Is it enough to share all sorts of romantic tropes and overtly flirt with each other (Leshley/Eagleone)? What happens when you start removing all of the events that used to be canon, but might not be anymore/be part of a different canon than the current one?
4. Conclusion (kind of)
I really want to offer a definition of a canon ship that suits everyone, but every time i come up with one, I bump into yet another wall. Tentatively, we could define a canon ship as a ship that has, by the standards of the piece of media they belong to, acted on their desire to be together in a lasting manner that disproves all other potential ships for the characters. I'm sure that can be perfected, and there might be elements of this definition that can be refuted, but this is how I would characterise a ship as canon. Which would, you guessed it, make pretty much every Leon ship non-canon in the context of the REverse as a whole.
The one true conclusion of this post, however, is that shipping amounts to playing with Barbies and should not be taken so seriously. There are a lot of shippers who know that their ships have no chances of becoming canon, yet still choose to have fun with it, make content for it in their own space, and some of you guys are dicks enough to go and bully them over it. Go outside, take a breath, and understand that canonicity is not the be-all and end-all of shipping.
I went a bit overboard with this and I'm sorry (not really). I'd love to know everyone's opinions on what makes a ship canon, if there's scenarios I haven't considered, etc! Constructive criticism is more than welcome and as always, my ask box is always open <3

Greetings, fellow traveller of Tumblr, it seems your searches have brought you to my little cove of the internet
My (pen)name's Dairenyl, but you can just call me Dai if that makes it a bit easier - I know the name's a bit unusual, so it doesn't bother me if you prefer to shorten it. My Tumblr is the home of my art - I am both traditional and digital, but you're more likely to see digital here.

One thing I will say about my art/fics is that they will not always be 100% accurate to original lore. I am aware of this already - do not point this out me. I'm here to have a good time, not to make everything as accurate to lore as possible. (This applies mostly to my EPIC, FNAF and Elder Scrolls designs)
I do not mind polite criticism to an extent, but I draw the line when you attempt to correct my designs and tell me how my art is meant to be done. You don't like the way I draw/design characters? There are plenty of other blogs here on Tumblr

Hi Raven.
Do you think It's okay to give your own opinion about a story of a fanfiction, even if it isn't just compliments?
Like I wanted to suggest to a writer here on tumblr to fix a thing on their story, so that it could be more readable, but I don't want to come off as rude.
I mean, I know what constructive criticism is but... yeah. My question still stands
Hi anon! What a good question. Love these types of asks! The short answer is it depends on the writer, it depends on the story and it depends on your comment. Let me exemplify what I mean below. First, there's a huge difference between an established writer, who is semi active, engages with comments on their stories and encourages discussions and feedback, in contrast with writers who are just starting out. OR writers who are publishing without looking at comments because they are just happy to share without caring about feedback. OR writers who are getting back into it after years of NOT writing. They are aware that they aren't at their best but still fucking trying and with time will get better and figure it out. In the later cases a critique wouldn't achieve much, be a waste of both your times and could actually do more harm than good. Second it depends on the story; for example if the writer says 'warning lowercase writing' and you point out that it's written in lowercase then it kinda doesn't do much but cause frustration. Similarly if you point out on my writing that 'hey you have a lot of simple errors that you'd catch with a re-read or a beta' when I've clearly said that I don't do heavy editing at the moment because I'm working on combating perfectionism and focus on getting stuff out then once again said comment wouldn't really achieve much. There are so many more examples when a critique will just not achieve much- if anything. So please be mindful of that and attentive to what the writer says. Finally it depends on your comment, how you write it and why. Saying something like ' your character is sooo OC get a better read on X, Y, Z' is just rude and will disregard the writers interpretation of the characters, story and creative liberty. OR 'Your twist sucks/ you overuse it/ its predictable cuz of this- this and that' doesn't do much but put the writer down, makes them tempted to quit or block you. So the question becomes are you critiquing to help or to show your own frustration at the way they write their story? Critique is valuable to a writer; it helps us improve. It gives us things to consider and be aware off. It can also push us down a peg when we get too cocky. BUT this type of feedback should be written with care. If you give a writer critique on tumblr, keep in mind that they most likely produce this content for free, at their own time, for their own enjoyment and decide to share it with you out of the goodness of their own heart. Therefore the critique should be written with care and due diligence; write it in the way You yourself would want to receive it. Be kind, polite and humble. We're all human, we're all trying to do our best and to improve. Please remember that. After saying all that, l am honestly a person who often encourages feedback and gives feedback back, following the model of 'two stars and a wish'. So that it's not JUST negative but a combination of both. That way its easier to write it, often its better received and creates a better atmosphere all around. Best of luck <3
Hope this helps ~ Raven

70,23,7,and 5 for the get to know your writer ask game
Thanks for the ask! I love love fanfic/writing asks フッ(⸝⸝⸝≖ᴗ≖⸝⸝)‧⁺✧*
(might've gotten the numbers mixed up here)
5. Do you like constructive criticism?
As long as it's respectful! One of my biggest issues that I need to work on is dealing with rejection - I had an English class at my college that helped a lot with helping me get better with constructive criticism because I typically hadn't gotten any before and would just freestyle when it came to writing (;^ω^)
I think it helps a lot! As long as it's worded politely/ professionally I'll take it! That's why I've been asking for beta readers now (๑¯◡¯๑)
7. How do you choose which POV to write from?
I write self insert fanfiction, so it's almost always going to be second-person;
'you looked over and saw him waiting for you'
'Grabbing the papers, you thought of what would happen if you were late and immediately rushed out the doors'
- - -
Although I've gotten a couple asks for OC x Character (which, frankly, I'm no good at - plus I've listed it in my pinned post that I do not write anything that's not 'x reader' but I can't find it in me to reject a single ask - I'm just bad at writing them is my issue, that's all (;ŏ﹏ŏ))
For those special requests I struggle a little so I just use their pronouns because it helps me a little since I'm a self insert writer
'She ate slowly, trying to postpone her eventual exam'
'Gathering all the strength she had, she gripped the bar and pulled her chin over it one last time'
- - -
I mainly write in past tense! It's easiest for me, and I think that's because of which fanfics I might've grown up reading ʕ→ᴥ←ʔ
Although, I've noticed that I tend to mix them sometimes (^~^;)ゞ
'He continued on, rattling off numerous names and rules'
'You pushed your way through the crowd, looking up to see the statue'
23. Best writing advice for other writers?
Read, read, read! Read all you can! Read all sorts of books, fanfics, anything you can get your hands on!
The biggest reason why I can write the way I do is because of how much I've always read! I started reading other people's works in middle school and didn't start to write until late highschool
It's really good for getting references, and it helps to pay special attention to how others write things you're not good at - I was really bad (still kind of am) with dialogue, so I have a folder of screenshots of random dialogue from books I've read to use as reference (´-ᴗ-⸝⸝ก)
70. When asked, are you embarrassed or enthusiastic to tell people that you write?
It depends on the person and how vague I want to be -ᄒᴥᄒ-
My English teacher asked me why I was so well at writing analytical essays and I simply told him 'I like to write', then later on I told him I like to write detailed analysis on my favorite characters and fandom (not talking about how it's in fanfics)
(fun fact by the way, for an assignment I compared Twice to Jurgis from 'The Jungle', and mentioned My Hero Academia a couple times in my Final Essay of the year lol - I'll try to find that Twice comparison for you all)
For friends, all throughout highschool I never told a soul about my love for writing, especially fanfiction, because you know how highschoolers are O_o
But now I'm fine telling those I see daily, though it started with one friend that I first entirely felt comfortable admitting I write fanfiction with (THANKS @ch33s3mam !)
My co-workers are really nice, but I've only admitted it to 1 that I'm particularly close to because we're both invested in our own fandoms so I was sure she'd understand ('∀`)
Honestly it depends how comfortable I am with a person, and how much I think they'd understand and not be the type to hear the word "fanfiction" and immediately pin me as "the weird one" :-\
I change my vagueness all the time, and I always try to gouge out a person fully before entirely admitting to them (´・ω・`)
My online friends though? No problem, I'll tell anyone online! It's only IRL that I have issues with >.<
♡ ••┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈•• ♡
Thank you thank you! I really appreciate the ask! These are lots of fun!
#i really needed this#my day's been awful today :'(#really brought my mood up :-)#so thank you again!#💬#ask game#ask games#my friends ♡#geekandafreak#📝#❔

🛒 tell me about ur themes ollie
I WOULD LOVE TO DO NOTHING MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fanfic writer emoji ask!
🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc. - im going to speak these words and you're going to think "HIGURASHI FAN", and you will be correct. generally speaking, a theme i am obsessed with, is perception vs reality. being neurodivergent, in my experience, is like being your own unreliable narrator, not even knowing you're unreliable - so it's a topic that's very near and dear to my heart.
in particular, i love getting into the nitty gritty of it: in particular, outside forces shaping how a person thinks, but they're not aware of it. tttaac mob and crowfic ritsu are biggest examples of this, so is tmtrainer eden, you feel protected isaac, and reanimation technician itadori - the feeling of when you're angry and don't know it's because you're hungry, or depressed but don't know it's because of stress you've been carrying for a long time? that there is my bread and butter.
(^it's also the reason i'm so into um... brain damage? just conceptually? i find it fascinating as someone who, albeit in a neurodivergent sense, has a lot of their perception of the world changed by physical nonsense in their noggin (like autism, adhd, anxiety). it's a specific thing to keep returning to, from my transformers fics to tttaac and beyond, but what can i say. i love the intrigue that comes with someone's entire being being shaped by a physical organ and what happens if you poke at that.)
i also, PREDICTABLY, love gory imagery, i think gore is a constant in my writing, whether it's actually happening or is just used as extended metaphor - cuz, and i tell this story often, i got my start with fanfiction (and writing in general) through grimfics and creepypastas, and one of my biggest fandoms ever, the one i have to thank for a lot both creatively and for the reason i even know my qpp and why i'm on this site at all, was warrior cats - where, to a kid, feeling cool and mature reading about death scenes and gore is awesome. so i'll always gravitate towards some manner of blood and guts, its my favorite
speaking of warriors, in my oc fic, spottedfur's pride... i need to learn to use nature imagery other than going off of what season it is, lol, but for characters living in a forest, it checks out. there's so much season imagery in spottedfur's pride. i put maybe a bit too much emphasis in the first arc on half-melted snow and muddy slush at the tail end of winter, but in my defense, i think it makes for cool visuals, and i'm still kind of struggling to write for characters i cant fall back on human traits, concepts, etc, to describe. so for now, have sooo much season imagery lol.
also i've been told my writing style is very "psychological/out of body introspection -> physical sensation -> psychological/out of body introspection -> so on and so forth" - not as a criticism, just something my friend cyn pointed out to me once, and.. i always notice that lol. it's because i think i'm very good at writing overarching thoughts and broad-strokes feelings and how they change over time (i'm a huge character study guy) but i struggle with scene-by-scene action-by-action Plot Progression(tm), so i cheat my way out of it by using paragraphs of internal monologuing as free timeskips. and granted i think i'm good enough at it lol
tysm!!! i love getting to ramble about my process... if you couldnt tell lolol.

By your side.
Part 3
Summary: You are the CEO of a big company and hired Lycaon as your personal attendant, however it seems that your wolfish butler has developed a crush on you. So while you and him were on a business trip, both of you were forced to confront your growing feelings for eachother.
Tag: Green Letter (Sfw)
Pairing: Von Lycaon x fem!reader (afab)
Disclaimer: This story is completely fictional and is not canon. You are responsible for the content you consume, so if the following warnings trigger you, you may read at your own risk.
Warnings: Fluff, Slow burn'ish, long fic, mutual pining, reader is smaller than lycaon, lycaon is down bad horrendous, friends to lovers type stuff, some flashbacks here and there, spoilers for lycaon's agent story, lycaon is a teeny tiny bit possessive.
Angst, Mentions of injury, mentions of death, social anxiety, reader lowkey having a panic attack, trauma.
Other warnings: lowkey my first fanfiction, so bare with me here. (T^T)
I added some throw-away characters to the story as plot devices, no they're not oc's and they hold no importance to the story other than providing character development.
We don't know that much about Lycaon's past yet, so take everything you may read here about his backstory with a grain of salt.
This fic contains a lot of scenarios written in Lycaons pov cuz i eat this shit up for breakfast.
Welcome back once again.
I apologize for the short delay, i have been sick these last couple of days. But I managed to get it done, even though Tumblr ate my draft and I had to start from scratch. Shaking, crying, throwing up, ripping my hair out.
Once again, I apologize for possible mistakes you may find, and constructive criticism is always appreciated.
Enjoy!
The sun was slowly setting, bathing the city in a golden hue as you and Lycaon drove through the city. You occupied yourself by looking outside the window, hoping it would ease your nerves about tonight's event. Your eyes wandered with the movement of the car as you noted that the earlier rain had definitely left its mark, the outside area's of the various restaurants and cafes remained empty and the parasol's closed. The sun gently reflected in the puddles of rainwater that still covered the streets, and you watched as life slowly but surely returned to them, smiling as you saw a couple of children jumping into the puddles as the brilliant liquid flew everywhere as it glittered in the sun.
That reminded you of something. Earlier Lycaon had called home, wanting to make sure everything was okay with everyone and the caffee while he was gone "by the way, how's it going at home?" You asked curiously, his ear flicked as you caught his attention "Corin had assured that everything was going well" he answered "everyone is doing fine, and Rina had even kept herself out of the kitchen like I had requested" Lycaon replied with a hint of amusement in his voice, even though Rina accidentally poisoning someone was one of his biggest worries. It was true that Rina was an expert at her job, however cooking had never been her strong suit, and it seemed that no matter how many cooking lessons she took it never improved. So for the time that he was away, they had hired someone to do the cooking and baking in the caffee for them.
"Corin had also asked me to once again thank you for tutoring her" you gasped as you remembered that the exam you had helped her study for was yesterday "oh! How did she do?" You asked, and he smiled, "She has written an A" he responded, and you could have sworn to have heard a tinge of pride in his voice. Even though he was a rather strict boss, he was still very understanding and supportive, you always found it endearing how Lycaon took care of Corin and Ellen as if they were his own daughters.
You knew that Lycaon's employees could be a handful sometimes. Be it Corin's clumsiness, after a cup of coffee you had once ordered accidentally landed in your lap instead of on your table. Ellen's tardiness, when you would find her asleep in the most outlandish places. Or Rina's lethal cooking, you had once experienced first hand after having been offered one of her "Chernobyl cocktails" as Ellen called them. And goddamn, you think you could never forget that excruciating stomach ache.
But you knew that they worked hard and had the spirit to do well. And, if you were fully honest, Lycaon had his own lovable peculiarities as well. Like his obsession with cleanliness, the way he attracted the attention of all the dogs in the general vicinity, or even the way he would glare daggers at a squirrel if he spotted one.
The car ride slowly came to an end as Lycaon pulled into the driveway of the building the gala would take place in, you noticed all the expensive and extravagant cars all neatly parked next to each other which made you remember yesterday's mess with Mr. Goldman, much to your dismay, you really hoped not to run into him tonight since you were already nervous enough.
If you were fully honest, high society had always been highly exhausting for you. You came from a humble backround, not having been born into wealth but rather accumilated it over the years thanks to hard work. In truth, everything overly extravagant made you feel rather uncomfortable, you never really understood the appeal of wearing expensive designer clothes, and most of them looked hideous to you anyways. So much so that you and Lycaon would always joke about it when watching fashion shows on TV.
This humbleness reflected in your living situation as well. You lived in a normal house in a normal neighborhood a few minutes away from Lumina square, so if no one knew because you had deleberately told them, they would never suspect you to have a net worth over several billion dennies.
You enjoyed the freedom this gave you, being able to walk around undisturbed without being followed around and having your day to day life broadcasted to everyone on social media. This also allowed you to form genuine bonds with people who stuck by your side for you, and not for your money. And even though your best friend Zhu yuan was rather chaotic you did love her like your own sister. You wondered if your in-person-attendance today could potentially threaten that freedom of yours.
Lycaon seemed to notice your nervousness and put a reassuring hand on your shoulder "don't worry, whatever happens tonight I will not leave your side" you smiled in reply, your heart soared at the way he touched you, gentle as if handling porcelain.
Both of you exited the car and Lycaon offered you his arm as you walked to the front entrance, the smell of rain still hanging strong in the air, and you reminisced of a time before you two had met. Well, officially at least.
Unbeknownst to him, you've actually had your eyes on him for much longer than he knows. All of it started when Zhu yuan was forced to take some time off and you tried to distract her from thinking about her job by going shopping. It had rained that day just like earlier, and you had walked down the street with your umbrella in hand. It was then when you had seen him through the window of his maid caffee. You had never actually believed in love at first sight, and always believed it to be a clichee.
Until it hit you pretty much square in the face.
And as luck would have it, your every so worried parents had hired exactly him to watch over you and your mental health, from which day oneward your feelings for the wolf thiren only seemed to grow stronger and stronger.
And since that day, he had never left your side.
You noticed the plethora of photographers and reporters standing by the main entrance, and you stiffen in response. The flashing of the cameras made you feel nauseous, as you made your way over the red carpet trying to stay as unnoticeable as possible "excuse me miss y/n!" But you had no such luck, it seems "I'm from Eridu today, and I must say it is a pleasure to see you this evening, it is not often that you give the public the opportunity to enjoy your company!" The reporter said, holding her microphone at you, and you looked at the cameraman who accompanied her. You noticed your reflection in the void of the camera's lens, and you swallowed, feeling your heart drop to your feet.
A new scent reached Lycaon's nose, one he didn't like. Fear. He had worried that this might happen, you weren't used to such media attention. Naturally, you were overwhelmed by suddenly having everyone's attention on you, with the knowledge that hundreds of thousands of other people were watching you behind their screens.
He discreetly placed his hand against your lower back, his warm palm gently signaling you that he was here, and that he had your back. He noticed you seemingly relax a little in response. Gathering all the confidence you had, you responded "O-of course, being here this evening is a matter of the heart for me" the reporter nodded, her emotions hidden behind a smile that you weren't able to pinpoint. "I see it as my duty to be present for tonight, in solidarity for the victims of the Vision cooperation" you continued, the thunderstorm of camera flashing once again flooding your senses. It was overwhelming. "That is wonderful! It's true that this scandal had shaken the community to its core" the reporter said, and you hoped a simple nod was enough of an answer for her "Master, we should get going" Lycaon responded, and you released a silent breath of relieve. You could kiss him for helping you get out of this situation, well you could always kiss him if you were being honest. With his hand still on your lower back, he gently guided you towards the main entrance.
As soon as Lycaon and you walked through the front door, you could instantly feel the stares of the other guests fall on the two of you; some in surprise, some in awe even and yet some others in confusion.
You tried to swallow the lump that was once again forming in your throat from your growing unease of being the center of attention at the champagne reception. You tried to focus on the feeling of Lycaon's hand on your back in order to distract yourself from the stares that pierced you from every angle. Lycaon himself was still worried of your growing discontent, however he was still so proud of you for having confronted your fears. He himself was used to having others attention on him all the time, be it because of his height and stature, or because of his prosthetics. But you didn't, why else did you keep yourself out of the public eye where you could. He took your hand in his, giving it a gentle squeeze as a small sign of encouragement. You smiled to yourself, squeezing his hand back. With him here, you were sure you could make it through this night.
Both of you took the drink you were offered, and made your way towards the main hall, you looked around, noticing some familiar faces you've seen once or twice on TV while a lot of the other guests present were completely unfamiliar to you, but you weren't that surprised, you normally never appeared on events like these, always dismissing the invitations, and only rarely ever gave interviews. You couldn't fathom how awful it must be not being able to go outside without paparazzi waiting for you like circling vultures, and wondered how all the famous singers and actors could live like that.
You wondered if Lycaon ever had to deal with them when he was working for other clients, and silently amused yourself on the thought of your wolfish butler trying to fend off a horde of camera wielding paparazzi.
After some time of walking among the sea of attendees, and being greeted by one or two, both of you finally reached your designated table. You thanked Lycaon when he pulled your chair out for you to sit, secretly gushing over his gentlemanly gesture as you went over tonight's schedule in your head again.
For starters, the host was going to hold a speech followed by dinner and afterward a charity auction. "Is everything alright so far, master?" Lycaon asked, and you gave him a playful thumbs up "so far everything is going well, knock on wood it stays that way" you told him, and he nodded in agreement, especially after having seen Mr. Evergreen and his wife amongst the attending guests and even though there was no bad blood between him and the Evergreens, the embarrassment he felt was still quite strong, even though he wanted to ask how Lilac's art classes were coming along.
"Say Lycaon, I'm curious about something" you started, his ears perking up immediately "please master, feel free to share your curiosity with me" he said reaching for his glass to take a little sip "could it be there are other clients of yours here tonight?" you asked mirthfully "there are indeed, may I inquire why you ask?" "Oh it's just that i saw the Evergreens earlier" you told him and he nearly choked on his drink.
Your little banter is interrupted by the sound of someone clinking their glass, blanketing the room in silence. While looking for the source of the sound, you let your gaze wander across the hall, briefly stopping when you noticed a familiar face amongst the crowd. Your brows furrowed in annoyance when you recognized Mr. Goldman and his wife, who looked equally as annoyed as you, sitting just three tables away from you. You silently saluted her for somehow miraculously finding the patience to put up with his bullshit... and his face.
"I'm honored to welcome you all" your eyes shifted to the front of the hall, now finally spotting where that earlier sound came from "it fills me with joy for having you attend tonight's celebration" a woman in a wheelchair spoke, and you could have sworn that you've seen her somewhere before "I dedicate tonight's gala to those who work tirelessly to help those in times of need" she continued "for those stricken with illness and injury, and those in poverty, who need our support dearly" as those words left the woman's mouth and entered Lycaons ears, he internally scoffed at her, wondering where all this support was that they were praising themselves for? Painfully clenching his jaw as he was reminded of his own past.
Where was it when his parents died, and he had to live on the streets, or when he had to join mockingbird just to survive, stealing from those who could have lent their aid but never did, always favoring status and profits above their humanity. Even after the violent injuries inflicted on his body, the memories of which still rob him of his sleep, it was due to his own diligence that helped him regain his life and that allowed him to now sit amongst the people he secretly loathed so much.
However... it seems that amongst the rubble, some gems can still be found; he glanced at you and his gaze softened.
You weren't like them, you actually cared about the lives of others and this is exactly what you modeled your business after, exactly why he loved you so dearly. It was your gentle nature and kind heart what made him fall for you in the first place, and god has he fallen hard for you. You give those stricken with illness and injury the oppertunity to walk through life on their own feet again. You work hard to give them back a shred of normalcy, trying to get them back on track after their life had been so crudely derailed. And yet, you still kept the delicacy of the moment, never prying neither your clients, nor himself for answers. Something he greatly appreciated about you, because he was aware that this question had burned on your tongue for the last one and a half years now. But, as graceful and as kind as you are, you opted to wait for him to open up to you, and he would eventually when he himself has found the courage to lay his heart bare to you.
His tail slowly swished from side to side as he once again marveled at the sight of you just like he had done yesterday in the car. Tonight however, things seemed different somehow, tonight you shined so much brighter; instead of being illuminated by the sun's rays, you have appeared to have become the sun, burning away the shadows of his pain and insecurity.
Memories of you two filled his mind has it really already been one and a half years? Time really does fly by when you're enjoying yourself he thinks to himself and recalls one special moment in peticular, the moment he had fallen for you.
Back then he had taken quite a beating during a comission with master proxy, breaking his prosthetics in the process, and having to spend a night in the hospital due to a concussion. He still remembered the shame he felt when he had called you to inform you about his sudden absence, and the suprise when you showed up not even half an hour later to check up on him. But most of all does he vividly recall the feeling blooming in his chest when you came back the next morning, with his prosthetic in your hands. Fully repaired. He had thanked you, having felt beyond gratefull that, not only had you taken your time, money and effort to get them repaired. But also because you had spared him the feeling of dread and hopelessness when he thought about having to leave the hospital in a wheelchair.
And even though you had helped him get back on his feet, by that time he had, figuratively speaking, already been on his knees for you.
You two had already experienced so much together, having gone through thick and thin, supporting eachother where you could. And he wanted to experience so much more with you. You turn your head, once again feeling his gaze on you, but this time he doesn't turn his head away, locking eyes with you instead and relishes in the smile you grace him with.
Maybe all of his past trageries were worth it if it ment he could remain by your side.
Applause replaced the silence as the host concluded her speech, and dinner was served, though it had been rather uneventfull. However Lycaon chuckled when you celebrated its disctinct lack of caviar. He felt a sense of satisfaction while he watched you eat. He was glad that now he was sitting across from you during an official dinner, instead of some desperate cretin who would constantly make a move on you - on his favourite person.
But not all good things can last forever. It seemes that said desperate cretin had read Lycaon's mind, thinking it a good idea to apporache your table.
"It's nice to see you tonight Ms. Y/n" both you and Lycaon had to fight the groan that desperately wanted to escape you both when Mr. Goldman appeared, sucking out all the positive vibes out of the current situation with his mere pressence alone. "I hope this dinner was more to your liking?" he inquired, which confused you that he had enough self-awareness about the abysmal choice of cuisine during your not-so-fun get together, but apparently not enough that he didn't see a problem in flirting with another woman that wasn't his wife. You were terribly tempted to snitch on him to his wife but scratched that idea, opting to get tonight over with while avoiding any inconveniences.
"It was" you responded shortly, hoping that he'd understand your unwillingness to talk to him right now, but he seems to once again lack the self-awareness necessary to understand. "I just wanted to once again inquire about possible business cooperations with you, since I'm going to be an investor and shareholder soon" he cackled, and you raised an eyebrow at his weird display, Lycaon watching both of you intently. "It is nice of you to inquire, we'll see if you qualify" you said taking a sip from your glass "what do you mean if I qualify?" he asked you rather uncertain if he had understood you correctly, while mimicking air quotes "I say so simply because our last meeting left me on a rather bitter note"
and you weren't just talking about the food, that was for sure
"was it because I didn't invite him-" he once again pointed at Lycaon "-to my party?" He asked "for one, yes" you said putting your glass down "please Ms. Y/n, a pretty Lady like you couldn't possibly be that petty-" you held your hand up, politely stopping his rambling "I have made my decision, please be assured that I will respond to your offer in due time, however-" you crossed one of your legs over the other, gently perching your hands on your knee "-I must disappoint you when I say that the possibility of you becoming a Shareholder has unfortunately never stood in question, I hope you understand" you explained "regardless, I wish you a pleasant evening" you finished.
Mr. Goldman was about to object to your words when Lycaon's voice coldly interrupted him "She wishes to no longer speak with you, I must kindly ask you to leave" Lycaon glared daggers at the smaller man in front of him who didn't budge an inch at first.
It infuriated Lycaon, he wouldn't let anyone ruin this special evening for the both of you, not when everything was going so well.
"Please don't make me ask twice" Lycaon once again sternly inssisted, his gaze rigid as it bore into the individual infront of him. For a while Lycaon and Mr. Goldman just glared daggers at eachother, both not saying a single word. You on the other hand were taken aback by Lycaon's sudden shift in attitude, but nevertheless thankfull. It made butterflies erupt in your stomach and you wondered how he'd become even more attractive to you than he already was to begin. After a while, Mr. Goldman walked off with a huff, visibly upset and, you thanked Lycaon for helping you out. Internally giggling at his display of protectiveness over you.
After a while, the auction began, luring the wealthy participants with expensive artworks and antiques. Even though none of the shown items really interested you, exceptions being a few pictures you thought would look great on your wall at home, you still planned to buy some of the items to resell or donate them instead of letting them catch dust in your or someone else's attic. So around 700k lighter and happy you let the auction go by while you bemusedly observed two people battle it out over a kitschy rooster shaped lamp, while Lycaon thought that everything had come full circle after you bought the Evergreen's painting that had started the whole drama with Lilac, Master proxy and him in the first place, secretly he wondered if maybe he could persuade you to donate it as well so he wasn't forced to look at it while he cleaned.
The auction finishes and the night seems to be slowly coming to a close. Some people had already left; either because they were tired and just really wanted to escape this labyrinth of endless formality, or because they were just really curious about the contents of the goody bag the host had prepared for everyone to collect on their way out as a final little goodbye.
You on the other hand made your way towards the Woman's bathroom, having told Lycaon to wait for you at the table. He had frowned a bit, not liking the thought of you going off on your own while Mr. Goldman was still scurrying around the building like the Rat he is, but you assured him that you'd be fine.
As you walked through the bathroom door, you noticed Mrs. Goldman standing in front of the mirror, fixing her own make-up. You cringed, internally throwing your purse to the ground at mach speed as you cursed your bad luck... "oh hey! I know you!" ...but you were definitely in for a surprise.

Part 4 ->
To be continued->
Ah I'm glad this part is done, it was so much more complicated than it had to be honestly. A small part of me died when that draft suddenly vanished into thin air, it was so infuriating.
But all is well that ends well.
Speaking of ending, i think this chapter also marks the half way point. I think this fanfiction will maybe have 6 parts in total, but it depends if I feel like writing an epilogue or not.
Until then, I wish you a pleasant day/evening, and hope you'll stay tuned for the next part.

Chapter Four
Mingi’s POV
Watching Emilia and Noah prepare for the concert was almost as fun as the concert itself. They were both acting a little nervous, unsure of what to expect. But that was the thing about Emilia—she always kept herself so guarded, so composed. And Noah? Well, he was like her in so many ways—calm, cool, and collected. But tonight, I hoped they could let that go, if only for a few hours.
When they finally stepped into the room, I couldn’t help but notice how much Emilia had put into her appearance. She looked stunning, even in a more relaxed outfit. There was an elegance to her, a quiet beauty that couldn’t be ignored.
“Are you both ready to go?” I asked, my eyes scanning the room.
Emilia gave a small nod, a hint of excitement finally breaking through her usual composure. “Ready as I’ll ever be.”
And with that, we headed out the door, ready for a night I knew none of us would forget.

Emilia’s POV
The concert was everything I hadn’t expected and more. The moment we walked into the venue, I was struck by the electric energy that filled the air. The bright lights, the thumping music, the sea of excited fans—it was an experience I’d never had before.
Noah, surprisingly, seemed to be enjoying himself more than he let on. I caught him bobbing his head to the beat a few times, and at one point, I saw him even tap his foot along with the rhythm. He was much more reserved about it, but I could tell the performance had made an impression on him.
As for me, I was in awe. Ateez was incredible. The way they moved together on stage, the harmony in their voices, and the connection they had with the crowd—it was like watching something magic unfold right before my eyes. And Mingi—there was something about the way he performed. He was so captivating, so full of life when he was on stage. I found myself getting lost in his presence.
The concert had ended hours ago, but I was still buzzing with excitement. I hadn’t realized how much I missed being in the moment, feeling a bit of freedom and joy after everything that had happened. But now, with the adrenaline wearing off, sleep wasn’t coming easy.
I tossed and turned in my bed for what felt like forever before finally giving up. The house was quiet now, the only sound coming from the faint hum of the refrigerator in the kitchen. I knew Noah was probably already asleep—he could fall asleep at the drop of a hat, and after the concert, he was probably exhausted.
So, I slipped on a hoodie and padded downstairs, hoping to find a bit of quiet to clear my mind.
I wasn’t surprised to see the kitchen light on. The last few days had shown me just how much of a night owl Mingi was. He was sitting at the kitchen counter, his phone in front of him but his eyes distant, as if lost in thought.
I paused for a moment, unsure of whether to disturb him. He caught sight of me and flashed a small, tired smile.
"Couldn’t sleep either?" he asked, his voice soft.
I shook my head, pulling out a chair and sitting down across from him. "I guess the excitement is still running through me. I can’t believe how amazing it was."
Mingi leaned back in his chair, resting his hands behind his head. "Yeah, the energy was wild tonight. It’s always different in front of a crowd, but it felt especially real tonight." He looked at me for a moment, then added, "You seemed to really enjoy it."
I smiled, a bit sheepish. "I didn’t expect to get so caught up in it, but I did. You guys are... amazing."
Mingi’s lips curved into a modest smile, but there was a glint of pride in his eyes. "Thanks. We work hard to make sure our performances are something people can remember."
There was a brief pause, and I found myself looking at the empty coffee cup in front of me. It had been a long day, and I wasn’t sure what I wanted to talk about, but somehow, Mingi’s presence made me feel like I could open up.
"Do you ever feel like everything you do is... for someone else?" I asked, not really sure where the question was coming from. "Like, I’ve spent so much of my life trying to be there for other people, and I’ve kind of lost track of what I want. Tonight I feel like I did something just for enjoyment after a long time. Just to have fun. no responsibilities. "
Mingi didn’t answer right away. He just looked at me with a kind of quiet understanding that I wasn’t used to. "Yeah, I get that," he said after a while, his voice quiet. "I spent a long time thinking I had to do everything for everyone else. And when I couldn’t, I didn’t know what to do with myself."
I glanced up at him, surprised. "What do you mean?"
Mingi sighed, his eyes drifting towards the counter. "I had to take a break from everything—took a hiatus because of my anxiety. There was a lot going on in my head, and I couldn’t keep up with the pressure. I felt like I was letting everyone down, but I had to take a step back and focus on myself."
I looked at him, seeing the weight in his eyes. "That sounds really hard," I said softly.
"It was," he admitted, his voice carrying a raw honesty that caught me off guard. "But sometimes, you have to let yourself feel lost before you can figure out what’s next. I needed that time to heal. And even now, I still have days where I feel like I’m not enough."
I felt a strange warmth at his words. It was comforting to know that someone else—someone as confident and composed as Mingi—had their own struggles. It made me realize that maybe, just maybe, it was okay to not have everything figured out all the time.
"How did you get through it?" I asked, genuinely curious.
He looked at me for a moment, as if contemplating the answer. "I had the support of the guys. They understood when I couldn’t keep going, and they never made me feel weak for it. It took a lot of time to learn how to balance everything, but it was worth it. I’m still figuring things out, but I’ve learned to trust myself more."
I nodded slowly. "I guess... I never really gave myself the space to feel weak. It’s like I’ve had to be strong for everyone else, you know? Sophie, Noah... I’m always the one they come to."
Mingi’s expression softened. "You don’t have to carry everything on your own, Emilia. It’s okay to lean on people too. Sometimes, being strong means knowing when to ask for help."
I let out a breath I didn’t realize I’d been holding. "I don’t even know where to start with that. It feels like I’ve been taking care of everyone for so long. I’ve forgotten what it’s like to take care of myself."
"You’ve already taken care of so much," Mingi said quietly. "Maybe it’s time to let people take care of you."
There was a long pause, and I could feel the warmth of the conversation wrapping around me like a blanket. For the first time in a while, I felt like I didn’t have to hide behind my responsibilities.
The sound of a door opening in the hallway startled me. "What’s going on in here?" Noah’s voice echoed from the doorway, his face partially hidden by the dim light from the hall.
I glanced at Mingi, who gave me a small smile before turning his attention to Noah. "Couldn’t sleep either?" Mingi asked.
Noah shrugged, his usual stoic expression in place. "I was just getting a drink. What about you two?"
I could see the glint of curiosity in his eyes, but he didn’t ask any more questions. Instead, he grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and leaned against the counter.
"You okay, sis?" Noah asked after a beat, his tone more concerned than usual.
"I’m fine," I said, offering him a reassuring smile. "Just having a late-night chat."
"With Mingi, huh?" Noah raised an eyebrow but didn’t press any further. He grabbed a cup from the counter and poured himself some water before leaving the room, pausing only to glance back at us. "Goodnight, you two."
"Night," I called after him, but my gaze lingered on Mingi for a moment longer.
As the silence enveloped the room, I felt a strange sense of peace settle over me. Maybe this was what I had needed all along. A moment to breathe, to talk without the weight of responsibility looming over me.
Maybe, just maybe, I was starting to let go of the idea that I had to be strong for everyone. That I could allow myself to feel, to be human.
I turned to Mingi with a soft smile. "Thanks, for listening."
He nodded, his eyes warm. "Anytime."

Mingi’s POV
It wasn’t often that I got to have these kinds of conversations. As an idol, you learn to keep things light, to always put on a face, and to never let people see you struggle. But with Emilia... it felt different.
There was something about the way she carried herself, the way she’d opened up tonight, that made me want to protect her, to help her see that it was okay to lean on someone for a change.
Maybe we hadn’t known each other long, but I could already sense that she had so much more to give. And I wanted to be there for her, in whatever way I could.
As I watched her head back upstairs, I couldn’t shake the feeling that this night—this conversation—had marked something important for both of us. It was the beginning of something deeper. A connection.
And for once, I didn’t mind the quiet. It felt like the calm before a storm.
And this time, I was ready for it.

Emilia’s POV
The sun had barely started rising, but somehow, Sophie, Noah, and I had all found ourselves awake. I wasn’t sure if it was the excitement of the day ahead or just the fact that I’d barely gotten any sleep after the concert, but the early morning energy was already buzzing in the house.
"We’re going on a trip today, guys!" Sophie announced enthusiastically as she pulled open the kitchen cabinet to grab some coffee mugs. "Ateez's last day in Germany, so we’re going to show them around the city. You excited?"
Noah groaned from the couch, already awake but clearly not thrilled with the idea of an early start. "I’m not a morning person, Sophie," he muttered, his voice still thick with sleep.
"Well, you’re about to become one!" Sophie teased, practically bouncing around the kitchen, pulling out ingredients for breakfast. "We’re making a day out of this!"
I couldn’t help but smile at her excitement. Sophie had a way of getting everyone in the house caught up in her enthusiasm. Even Noah, though he pretended to resist, always ended up going along with whatever she had planned.
Sophie started blasting music through the speakers in the kitchen, and I couldn’t help but laugh. It was the type of upbeat playlist that would get anyone moving, even if they didn’t want to.
Without warning, she twirled around the kitchen, grabbing a spatula like it was a microphone and singing along loudly. "Are you ready to party, Emilia?"
I rolled my eyes playfully but joined her in the madness, grabbing the nearest broom and pretending it was a dance partner. Noah shot me a look, like he was already preparing to protest, but before he could, Sophie grabbed his hand and dragged him into the dance floor (aka the kitchen).
"Come on! No one’s too cool for this!" she cheered, even managing to drag Noah into a ridiculously uncoordinated attempt at a tango.
I didn’t even try to suppress my laughter. There was something about the ridiculousness of the morning that felt right, something that made everything seem lighter than it had in the past few days.
The chorus of the song came on, and Sophie started singing even louder, spinning around and kicking her feet. I couldn’t help but join in, singing along with her, even if I wasn’t particularly in tune. Noah tried to pull away but eventually gave in and started swaying awkwardly, clearly embarrassed but too tired to argue.
"Guys!" Sophie shouted over the music, causing me to stop mid-spin. "We have to wake up Ateez! It’s our last chance to party with them in Germany!"
"Do we really have to?" Noah groaned, his face scrunched up in annoyance.
But Sophie was already on a mission, marching down the hallway and heading straight for the living room, where Ateez had all crashed the night before. I followed her with a sigh, grabbing my phone to make sure we had the day’s itinerary. Sophie had a habit of turning everything into a spontaneous adventure, and I wasn’t about to let her forget we had plans.
We burst into the living room, where the boys were sprawled out on the couches, still deep in sleep, looking completely unprepared for the chaotic wake-up Sophie had planned.
I couldn’t help but grin as I saw Mingi's peaceful face. He was always the last to wake up when we were at the house, a quiet giant when it came to mornings. Sophie, however, had no such patience. She marched right up to Mingi, shaking his shoulder enthusiastically.
"Good morning, Mingi!" she shouted in her usual, overly enthusiastic voice.
Mingi groaned, pulling the covers tighter around him and turning his face away from her. "Sophie, it’s too early for this..." he muttered groggily, not moving a muscle.
"I’m sorry, but you’re up now!" Sophie grinned, completely unbothered by his protests. "You’re going to experience Germany like never before!"
Slowly, the other members started to stir, clearly not prepared for Sophie’s brand of morning enthusiasm. I noticed Hongjoong rub his eyes, muttering something about how "early mornings were torture" as he sat up. Seonghwa and Yunho followed suit, each of them clearly fighting to stay awake.
"Why is it so loud in here?" Wooyoung grumbled, half-opening one eye before glancing over at Sophie, who was now attempting to drag him out of his seat. "What time is it?"
"Time for an adventure!" Sophie declared dramatically, as if we were about to embark on some grand treasure hunt.
"I’m so not ready for this," San mumbled, rubbing his temples as if the light from the windows was burning his eyes.
I stood in the doorway, arms crossed with an amused expression. The whole scene was so chaotic, it almost felt like something out of a sitcom. It was funny how Ateez, who had been so lively and high-energy during their performance, seemed so vulnerable and disheveled now that they were forced into an early wake-up call.
As if on cue, Mingi let out a loud groan and sat up, dragging his hand over his face. "Okay, okay. I’m awake. But I’m blaming you for the pain I feel now."
Sophie looked completely unfazed, shooting him a wink. "This is just the beginning. Today, we make memories!"
I watched the entire group slowly come to life, blinking at each other like confused animals who had just been pulled out of hibernation. Then, slowly, one by one, they all started to get up, stretching and mumbling about breakfast.
The noise and chaos slowly began to settle as we all moved into the kitchen together, where we started preparing a breakfast that was much more relaxed than what had preceded it. But there was still an undeniable energy in the air—a sense of togetherness that had formed between us all over the past few days.
I looked over at Noah, who was trying to hide the faint smile tugging at his lips. "I think you’re starting to enjoy this," I teased.
He shrugged, looking a little more awake now. "Maybe," he admitted, finally letting himself get caught up in the vibe. "But I still don’t understand why we’re all up this early."
"Because we’re showing them the best of Frankfurt!" Sophie replied, excited. "And we’re starting with a proper breakfast. But after that, we’re hitting the city. Museums, landmarks, and maybe a bit of shopping!"
Ateez groaned in unison, though there was an underlying eagerness in the way they moved around the kitchen. "Alright, alright. We get it. We’re here for it," Yunho said, his voice still hoarse from sleep.
As I sat down with a cup of coffee, I couldn’t help but smile. There was a sense of camaraderie, of closeness that I hadn’t expected. And even though today was going to be busy and a bit chaotic, I was looking forward to spending it with the people who had slowly become a part of my life.
Maybe this was the kind of spontaneous fun I needed—no planning, just being in the moment with people who made me feel like I wasn’t alone.

Time and time again you prove how real you are.
I really appreciate how you don’t shy away from criticizing authors.
Idk if you follow some on twitter, but many see any form of criticism as hate.
They make it sound like only us get something from the fanfics and we should shut up and be greatful.
Obviously leaving hate comments is not right, but if you put in your notes “What do you think about this chapter?” or “Thoughts?” maybe expect that not all comments are going to be “Amazing”,”Best fic ever” etc.
Anyways, I have the exact same opinion about Annie_vi (Charmander too)
They both seem like very nice people, good authors. They can write so much in such a short time and that’s amazing and an ability many writers would die for. I also appreciate that they try to write something new everytime.
You are right, they are top 5 most popular jikook authors and like you I get why. Their stories are very romcomish, but when you venture outside of the most popular fics you can find so much better.
I know exactly what you mean with that annie_vi Midnight fic. They literary took what made Jimin and Jungkook worthy of being the main characters and gave it to all BTS members. Just why?
I really dislike it when authors force all the guys to be couples. Just make some OCs damn
Do you mind sharing your opinions on starlitknife’s work?
They deleted their fics, but you can find them there https://x.com/starlitknife/status/1659926175181930498?s=46
And anoria_bard’s?
https://archiveofourown.org/users/anoria_bard/pseuds/anoria_bard
If you are familiar with them, of course.
Pt. 1
Why would I shy about it? Once someone releases their work publicly, to be shared to a readership, that work will be subject to interpretation and various types of criticisms.
The issue you're mentioning is something that can be found in every fandom. And I too can understand the authors' frustration with the way some (read a lot) choose to engage with the fanfics they're reading. It's a risk because your target demographic might include a lot of immature people, perhaps teenagers as well, people with a lot of issues who end up projecting them on the authors/works. Moral and political stances are also playing a big part. It's not wrong, but a mature readership knows the difference between author and narrator, between depicting and endorsing and so on. When they don't, they write stupid hate comments so having to read all that as an author who spent countless hours writing 200k words or maybe just 20k must be frustrating to say the least.
But, that doesn't mean we shouldn't be able to talk about a work. Nothing is perfect. I find polarizing opinions about a fanfic or an author a good sign actually because it shows there's something of value there and it's a reflection of the current state of the fanfiction in a specific fandom. Being encouraged to only share positive comments publicly while leaving some negative or/and constructive criticism in private is a bad practice, but I hope authors are able to distinguish between healthy and diverse reactions and mere hate comments.
Pt. 2
I'm familiar with both authors you mentioned. I've started reading starliknife's Jewel of Busan, but I dropped it at some point. I can't really remember why, but it wasn't because I found it bad or anything. I read some of anoria_bard's fics as well, but not much. I remember Creatures of Hate and its sequel.

Ok i just wanna add my little idea; he'd write fix it where Lizzie and Charlotte ended together. Bc as much as Lizzie and Darsley (apologies i definitely spelled that wrong) r cute together, when i was younger and my parents played it for me and my siblings in the car, we kinda agreed Charlotte and Lizzie def have something going on. So the fix it would just be the two of them together but Jason would vehemently deny it's actually a fix it. Like the in the summary there's an 'explanation' that this isn't fix it bc how could he, a simple guy who knows nothing could ever wish to fix something by the goddess Jane Austen????? No way people, fix it just kinda....... Fits the best..BUT ITS NOT FIX IT OK??'
Alright now a whole different thing i thought of. What if, Danny wasn't Jason's fan, but rival?
Bc listen that shit has so much potential. Danny would be writing his own fanfiction (warrior cats popped up in my head, might not be a good idea but I'm rn really tired so I'm putting it here anyway) but like half of the comments are about how this xxxnightbirdxxx has a FF under the same name and some imply it's so much better. So Danny, a proud 12 yo goes to this night bird's account and reads all of their work so he could properly destroy criticize them.
But unfortunately, Danny loves their fanfiction. And all their other stuff. BUT! He cannot let that deter him!! And so he gets into all the stuff Jason did (even reads pap lmao) and writes his own fanfictions.
Jason on the other hand is doing good. His fanfictions are pretty popular, not that he cares. ......if only this xXxnightblobxXx stopped annoying him!
First Jason didn't really mind, since to be honest nightbird isn't that similar, but than he discovered they wrote a fanfiction for the same fandom w the same name!! And while yeah it's not a crime, the comments r still annoying.
And than!!!!! The blob has the audacity to start writing under the same fandom?????? And roast him in the notes???????? Without even having the guts to tag him???????????? Oh hell no, Jason's gonna destroy him.
And so starts the rivalry ✨✨ yay!! Tbh both of them think the other one has only one goal and that is to make them miserable. The fans who started this don't really mind bc even if both of them have wildly different writing habits, they're gonna get double the content!! That's a win win right there fellas.
Anyway this goes on for 2 years, and both of them go from casual writers to fandom legends, bc their rivalry?? Immaculate.
Whenever they have to put an oc in there, they parody each one another, but it goes from "waah, I'm annoying i copy the other ones work" to a whole ass elaborate characters which are sometimes even more fleshed out than the canon characters. It's fuckibg hilarious, like some people just read their work to know the lore of these two.
And yeah maybe along the way they become more friends than rivals, but it's not like they realize it, or even gonna tell the other one. Like seriously they even gave each other their phone number so they could shit talk each other's work. They're very serious about this rival stuff.
And than.... Yeah stuff happens. Jason doesn't post on time and while Danny worries, he's trying to get closer to his friends, so maybe he could check on the other after he hangs out w his irl friends? They're just gonna visit the basement it's not like something can happen haha.
...anyway. Danny becomes phantom, and he totally forgets about his fanfiction career (and legacy, seriously ur fans r wondering if y'all committed suicide ala Romeo and Juliet, where are you guys??)
Years pass by, Danny's still superheroing, Jason gets resurrected, becomes red hood, Danny gets caught by giw, Jason does what he does as red hood, Danny permanently shuts down the portal, Jason becomes lil more sane, Danny has a falling out w his fam, Jason has falling in w his fam and suddenly they're both 22 and and don't quite know what to do with their lives.
Anyway Danny faintly remembers writing something and...posting it? He's not quite sure, his memories of that time r quite fuzzy, and lots of happen since then, but he's pretty sure he had lots of fun. So he hacks (bc there's no way he remembers his password from 10 years ago) into his old email, and oh. Oh wow, he was pretty cringe lol. He goes through his works, and laughs and cringes (a lot) and sees this guy xxxnightbirdxxx. And remembers.
Wow young Danny had no chill... To be honest he's a little embarrassed over what he wrote and what he said. It wasn't even that bug deal. But it's obvious Nightbird was also a lil kid, so it's not that big of a deal.
He's about to check his pap fanfiction (bc he forgot he even read that...... And looking at the summary he must've read it several times, because some of these details and theories...... Oh wow) when a notification comes. Danny's curious who he followed as a little kid so he plans on checking them out when...
It's xXxNightBirdxXx. They updated after 8 years.
Danny cracks his screen, when he sees what they posted.
It's rewrite of that one (warrior cats) fanfiction they met over.
But Danny is an adult and not a petty 12 yo and he can be mature. Yeah, this is making him feel lots of feelings, but an adult. He's not gonna have revive his rivalry w a dude that obviously had enough problems to disappear for 8 years.
That is, until he reads the posted chapter.
Because bird, that copying piece of shit, used some whole ass passages from Danny's fanfiction!! They reused his ideas, and only changed them a little!! They didn't even give him credit in the notes before the chapter!!
Danny reads the whole chapter until the end. He's still trying his best to be an adult, and not be petty, but that all goes out of the window, when he sees the end author's note.
There's no credit for him, but more outrageous is in Danny's opinion his excuse for not posting for 8 years.
(I'm.imagining the nite looks something like this:
[hello lovelies I'm so sorry i didn't update for so long ;^^
I had some issues irl, and it's not quite solved, but that's life right haha
Anyway i guess i owe you explanation. But I'm sure you can imagine. I died, i was resurrected, i was brainwashed by an evil cult, almost killed my brother, i reread pap (it's still as good as i remember), almost killed my brother (different some), caused some mayhem, became a villain, started a gang, tried to take revenge for my death, had a reconcilation w my family, baked some cookies and became an anti hero.
Well i never really thought i was gonna come back to this account, but yesterday i couldn't sleep, and when i looked at the computer in the morning, this was there, so... I guess take it? I know it's not that good, but I've been busy killing people, so i think it's ok.
Anyway thank you so much for your worries, all your comments really helped me through a lot, and in the future you can expect some new projects!! (Recently i read shattered and boy do i have some thoughts)
So bye till next time])
Danny didn't even realize he was typing out a comment, until he posted it. He was just so angry!! How dare bird just disappear for questionable amount of time, and than come back and just..... Use Danny's explanation for why he was away??? Also obviously they must be joking, because ghosts aren't able to use electronics unless they are specialize in it or something idk. So overall Jason's comment was very insensitive to the ghost community. (This is basically just Danny getting offended over nothing, bc sometimes u just hate ppl and it doesn't matter what they do, I'm not sure I explained it in such a way tho)
Anyway Danny's comment is basically gaslight gatekeep girl boss lol. He accuses them of not actually dying, of copying his work, and of making fun of people who survived death.
And Jason, who was kinda nervous about this, sees this random dude, absolutely unprovoked, telling him he didn't actually die? And yeah, maybe every other author after longer hiatus says they died, but he actually did, so he thinks he has the right to say it.
And so starts Rivalry™ No 2. <3
Like Jason responds Lowkey agressive, and they trauma dump each other and it's beautiful. They exchange phone numbers (again) and i imagine their conversation going like.
Danny: ok gimme a proof u actually died
Jason: *sends photo of his death certificate, like he will prove to this Twink that he died, even if he has to reveal his secret identity dammit* what Abt u huh?? Do u have any proof????
Danny: oh wowwwww so now we shame halfas for no one noticing they died?? Wowwww that's sooooo mature. I bet you even have a grave
Jason: that doesn't sound like an excuse at all. You definitely died, just no one noticed, really.
Danny: I'm sorry for dying in my parents basement???? And that no one discovered my body before i ressurected?????? What the hell dude, not cool. Also doubting how someone died is really dude. You yonlungsters don't know how good you have it
Or
Jason: so your town just have ghosts. And no one heard about it
Danny: i already told you, this local billionare
Jason: this... Vlad masters??? That doesn't even sound like a real name *Jason did not research this, he doesn't care if he's wrong, he just wants to argue lol*
Danny: we had a whole invasion!
Jason: and the justice league never heard of it??? Doubt it
Danny: how do u know if they heard of it or not?? Are you their secretary
Jason, about to call Bruce and become he's secretary: actually i am
Or something like this lmao.
I'm kinda imagining this becoming more and more heated, until Danny mentions pariah, and Jason goes wait a minute this sounds a lil concerning.....
And Jason also mentions the rage and Danny goes yhhhh maybe dude actually died????
And now their biggest concern is how to tell their families, their rival of 10 years who they met through writing fanfiction, might be in something in their jurisdiction.
DPxDC Prompt where when Jason dies, his AO3 account goes sadly untouched for an uncharacteristically long time (considering his near-weekly updates prior to his death). His sudden absence does not go unmissed by his dedicated readers, and Danny’s always wondered what the hell happened to xXxNight_BirdxXx.
He mostly forgets about it– too distracted by the portal accident and fighting ghosts– but Danny never unsubscribes.
Years later, Danny just about breaks his phone when he gets an email notification saying that one of his favorite old fanfics updated. It’s one by xXxNight_BirdxXx, who he’d all but assumed fucking died (considering the guy also dropped off of the other community tabs he used to frequent).
When Danny checks the update, the author’s note is… a little strange. He thinks that xXxNight_BirdxXx might be joking about dying, coming back and digging his way out of his own coffin, and then getting sidetracked by revenge for a few years, but… well, Danny’s seen weirder.
Danny decides to take the most obvious course of action: subtly trying to ask this man a few ghostly questions through his comment section.
#dpxdc#jason todd#danny fenton#jason is a fanfic writer#dcxdp#dpxdc writing prompt#lmao but how woudl jason break it to his fam#like "hey so maybe fandom nemesis might be dead and might be a teen (now adult) hero and uhhh#im lowkey imagining small tim being no 1 fan of their rivalry#also yes this is def very gay#and written w#dead on main#in mind lmao#pls end me this is way too long#danny is a fanfiction writer#fellas is it gay if your rivalry lasts over 10 years and your fanbases lowkey ship you two????
