Rachel Jamison: These are messages one of our volunteers received yesterday. They're from a foreign team now in 2nd Battalion of the ILDU that is deployed in the East. Teams often end up paying for a lot of their own transport and accommodation costs when being moved around the country and also pay for a lot of their own gear. We already have this group matched up directly with sponsors but they are asking for some additional help. Anything helps. We can match people up for a minimum of $25 a month. You're directly connected and they follow up with you of receipts and photos of anything purchased. Also lots of photos of all the cats and dogs they find. The sign up form is here.

Just a small update thing;

If you’re using Patreon, you ought to know that if someone posts your work outside of the paywall, they seemingly can’t do shit about it.

I went to Patreon under the impression that they would help me if my work got leaked or stolen under the pretense that work posted there should be, logically, protected.

When I sent them a message asking for help, they told me to hire an attorney if it bothered me so much, and that they could not provide any sort of legal assistance despite the fact that the contract was breached.

All this to say, if you want to use Patreon, don’t expect them to protect you. That’s apparently not what their service is for.
