Hello! Now that most of us are home with not much to do, I thought I’d share a process that might help you stay productive and organised.

What is a digital cleanse? A digital cleanse (to me anyway) is the digital version of spring cleaning. This is the time to make sure your devices are tidy and organised. I have separated this post into four different areas to tackle while completing a digital cleanse.

I will most likely make a more in-depth post on this aspect very soon as I believe it is super important to keep your computer clean, especially as a student.

Folders are your best friend!

Organise all the items on your computer desktop into appropriate folders.

I suggest at least creating a general folder for school and then creating subfolders for each class.

Do I really need this?

You’ve probably dragged and dropped a lot of random images or downloads onto your desktop that you just never opened.

Go through every item on your desktop and either delete it or finding it a spot in a folder.

If you’re indecisive on where it goes or if you want to delete it, create a “misc” folder to throw all the random items.

Trash and Finder Applications

Sort through the trash bin icon and ensure that everything in there is okay to be deleted and then click “empty!”

I am not sure what the equivalent to this is on non-Mac computers but go through the Finder application, especially the applications and downloads, and delete anything you no longer need or use

Your computer browser is frequently overlooked when cleaning up your computer. Which is a shame because it’s where most of us spend most of our time while on our computer!

Bookmarks Bar:

If you’re like me, you constantly bookmark sites and then never go back to them again

First, go to your bookmark manager and immediately delete links that you have zero interest in returning to.

Then, separate the remaining links into different categories and create folders for each.

Some folder ideas: “sources” (for when you’re writing academic essays), “google drive” (for those that use docs, slides, sheets, etc), “articles to read”, “wishlist” (i have my wishlist folder separated into further subfolders for “books” and “clothes”), “recipes”, “things to do” (for any museums, shows, experiences you want to check out in your city)

Make sure to have your email and any school websites on your bookmarks bar. I also like to have Wikipedia saved there too as I’m always reading about something there.

Little tip: Avoid keeping social media websites on your bookmarks bar to avoid distractions. Instead, create a folder titled “Social Media” to keep on your bookmarks bar just so those sneaky Tumblr and YouTube logos aren’t tempting you but you still have easy access!

Extensions:

Uninstall any extensions that you no longer use

While you’re at it, install some helpful extensions!

My favourite extensions (for Chrome) are:

Honey: Automatically applies coupons when you shop online

Grammarly: Helps fix any spelling or grammar mistakes

YouTube Blocker: Allows you to block any creators or keywords from showing up on your homepage or the recommended sidebar

This one is fairly self-explanatory and I’m pretty sure most of us clean out our social media profiles periodically. I will list some additional places to tidy up in addition to the obvious ones.

Unfollow people on all platforms that no longer make you happy or that you are just no longer interested in

Clean out Tumblr and Twitter drafts + saved posts on Instagram and Facebook

Delete posts that you are no longer happy with or proud of having on your social media accounts

Check out your muted lists on various platforms and go ahead and unfollow them

Clean out, edit, or delete Pinterest boards, YouTube lists (especially the Watch Later list), and Spotify playlists. 

Delete any books you are no longer interested in reading on Goodreads

Delete any shows or movies you are no longer interested in on Netflix

Edit, add to, or delete wish lists on shopping websites

This is another self-explanatory one and a place that many of us already clean up occasionally as well. Here are my suggestions on how to tidy up and organise your phone:

Delete any apps you no longer use, distract you too much, or that you never even opened

Tip: Use the screen time feature on your phone to see what apps you spend the most time on to help you with this

I do recommend keeping some games on your phone that can be played on airplane mode to keep you busy while commuting, such as Sudoku, any word games, Tiny Wings, etc.

Clean out your Safari tabs

I personally tend to have a million tabs open on Safari that I literally never go back to

Exit out of anything you no longer need and consider transferring any links to your bookmarks bar on your computer

Clean out your Photos app

Idea: create folders for individual people in your life. For example, have a folder titled your friend’s or significant other’s name and put all your photos with/of them in there.

I am clearly a big fan of folders so here are some more folder recommendations: separate folders for each city you’ve visited, folders for specific dates or events, folders for your pets, or how about a meme folder? 

Make sure to “heart” or favourite photos you look at often for easy access. I keep a photo of my timetable, a bus schedule, and the campus map in my favourites album.

Clean out your Notes app:

I know most people’s notes app is filled with the most random things ever.

Delete anything that just makes no sense or that you no longer need.

Consider merging different notes if you’re like me and keep a lot of login information, passcodes, security questions, etc in there. Just put them all in one note.

Other tips:

If you really have the time, delete any contacts for people that you really don’t think you’ll ever contact again. 

Try out a different organisation system for your apps for a change

A/N: I kind of just learned what anthropology actually was so I apologize for any inaccuracies or if this just sucks in general I tried my best. Also I know I promised a different Sam fic but as mentioned my computer deleted it and I honestly would rather write something knew then try and write the same thing again so that is being pushed back.

You hummed softly as you typed away on your computer, putting the finishing touches on the report due at the end of the week, getting more and more excited of the thought of finally being able to go home and crash.

Taking care to save your work, having learned the hard way more than once what not doing so would do to you. You reached for your bag, shoving various textbooks and notebooks into it, watching the screen load as you carefully backed up your work.

Throwing it over your shoulder you finally shut down the computer and headed out of your office, pausing slightly at the scene in the reception area that unfolded before you. Two very attractive men in suits were talking to the receptionist Laura, explaining something about being FBI agents.

You made eye contact with the taller of the two, sending him a shy smile before fixing your gaze on the door, more than ready to put the office behind you for the night when you heard it.

“I’m sorry but Professor Morrison isn’t here today, but I could connect you with someone who works closely with him”

You froze on the spot, turning on your heel to glare at Laura, rapidly moving your hand in front of your neck, signaling that you did not want to be a part of this right now.

She just laughed slightly as the shorter one agreed to meeting you. You just hardened your glare, making a gun shape with your fingers and bringing it up to your temple.

“Excellent she’s right behind you”

The two men spun on their heels quickly to face you, barley giving you time to drop your hand just making her laugh louder. “Hi I’m Y/N Y/L/N” You planted on your best fake smile, holding out your hand to the man closest to you, the taller one “I’m a grad student under Professor Morrison”

“Sam Winchester” The man introduced himself, the shorter one immediately elbowing him in the ribs as he shook your hand.

You choose not to question it, turning to the other man who introduced himself as Dean, before he sent a look up to the other man. “we’re with the FBI we were just hoping to get some help with a case”

“Of course my office is just down that hallway” You pointed over their shoulders, ushering them towards it but making sure to send another glare back at Laura behind their backs who just teasingly waved at you.

“What is it I can do for you Agents?” You asked as you led them into your office, ushering them into the two chairs you had in front of your desk, taking your seat behind it.

“We’re here investigating the disappearance of several children in the area” Sam started to explain as Dean fished his phone out of his pocket.

“Yes I heard about those” You nodded sympathetically “but forgive me I don’t know how I can help”

“Well one of the mothers happened to be on the phone with one of the kids when he disappeared, and we were able to secure this” Dean explained before pressing play on his phone. Immediately the sound of a soft, eerie song filled the air. Sweet, quiet lyrics in a language you couldn’t put your finger on played for a bit before all of a sudden it went dead silent, three quick knocks on some surface sounding before a deafening crack and the beeping of a call dropping.

“You don’t happen to recognize that song do you?”

You shook your head, doing your best to rack your brain “I can’t say that I do”

“We think it could be important to cracking this case” Sam explained, sitting forward in his chair “so anything you can find out for us about this would be helpful”

“Of course” You nodded, reaching across your desk towards a business card, grabbing a pen and scribbling your cell number on the back of it, “here’s my card just go ahead and send me the audio file and I’ll do me best”

Sam sent you a thankful smile as he took the card from you, the two standing up to take their leave as you did the same. Dean gave you a curt nod, heading for the door and showing himself out, Sam pausing in the doorway for a bit longer.

“It was-uh-nice meeting you” He reached out to shake your hand again, making a point to make eye contact with you, and truth be told you couldn’t help but blush beneath his gaze, trying your best to remain as professional as possible.

“You too agent”

His smile faltered ever so slightly at your words though you couldn’t imagine why. He regained it so quickly, however, it made you almost question if you had seen it in the first place.

Giving you the same nod he headed out of your office, following his partner back out of the building as you locked your door behind you.

“You know whenever someone makes that motion” You called down to Laura as you exited the office “it usually means stop whatever you’re doing”

“oh come on” she laughed brushing you off “they were cute and needed help”

“and I wanted to go home” You grumbled.

“Until your eyes landed on that tall FBI agent” She teased, putting a few things into her bag to follow you out, the two of you being the last two in the office.

“oh shut up” You rolled your eyes, holding the door open for her before locking it behind the two of you.

You pulled into the usual parking space the next morning, doing your best to balance all the notes, books, and a cup of coffee you had brought with you in your arms.

Setting the coffee on the roof of your car you reached into the back seat, pulling on your backpack and piling your arm up with folders and notebooks, balancing a stray pencil on top of your ear, reaching for the coffee and bumping the door closed with your hip. Barely paying enough attention to your surroundings to stop yourself from crashing into the large body standing behind you.

You came to a screeching halt, the carefully balanced paperwork in your arms threatening to spill over as you tried to catch your balance.

“Agent” You squeaked in surprise, nodding a hello to him.

“Please call me Sam” He shook his head, instinctively reaching forward to help you “here let me”

Gratefully you unloaded some of the papers onto his open arms, “thanks…Sam”

He smiled down at you at the use of his name, falling into step behind you as you walked back into the office it felt like you had left no more than a few hours ago.

“I’m sorry to say I don’t have any information for you yet” You began, dropping the load in your arms on your desktop, grabbing the work from his arms to do the same with it “I haven’t had the file for long enough yet”

“Oh no rush” He quickly assured you, taking a seat in the same chair as last night, before correcting himself “well some rush, children are disappearing. But that’s not why I’m here”

“Oh?” You asked him, occupying yourself with logging onto the computer and sorting through the work in front of you.

“I just-uh-wanted to see if you needed any help” He stuttered out.

“Surly you have better things to do than babysit me” You chuckled, waving him off “I’m fine”

“This is just our biggest lead so far” He began to explain, almost seeming to not believe his own words as he said them “so I figured I’d make myself useful if possible”

“Well I’d never say no to another pair of eyes” You shrugged, “so you’re more than welcome to stick around but certainly don’t feel like you have to”

“Good” He smiled, shrugging out of his jacket and draping it over the back of his chair making it clear he was planning to stick around “where do we start?”

You chuckled at his eagerness, turning your attention back to your computer “I’m thinking we start by identifying the language used in the song”

“And how do we do that?”

You played with a piece of broccoli with your chopsticks, your feet propped up on the edge of your desk as you tried raking your tired brain again of what to do now.

Sam sat across from you in the same chair as he had been in for the past several hours, a takeout container in his hand and tie long since abandoned. Sam sighed, shoving another piece of chicken into his mouth.

“Do you know where the children go missing from?”

“Different places” He shrugged, “some unknown some not.” He dug through his pad of paper, listing off a few streets where children were last scene.

You thought for a moment, doing your best to visualize the town in your mind “those are all near bodies of water”

Sam set his takeout container down on the floor and dug through his bag and pulled out a map, spreading it out on your desk and marking off the locations of the last known whereabouts of the children. “I mean somewhat”

“but these are just last known locations right” You explained, “they could’ve wandered closer to bodies of water later, point is they’re all at least within a half a mile of some body of water”

“Alright” He agreed “how does that help us”

“the-uh-“ You sat up quickly, the name on the tip of your tongue, flipping through the book on the desk in front of you quickly, searching for a page you had glossed over before “the Qalupalik”

“The Qualupalik?”

“Yeah” You flipped the book over to Sam, showing him the page “a myth told to Inuit children in the arctic to keep them away from the waters edge. This creature would sing a song to lure children in and once close enough would sink its claws into them and pull them beneath the water.”

“Lovely” Sam groaned, his eyes skimming over the text “and you think this song could be the one on the phone call”

“The knocking sound on the call” Sam finished your thought, jumping up to his feet quickly, excitement growing within him as he thought through it.

“That’s brilliant” He laughed, not hesitating before walking around your desk and throwing his arms around you.

You chuckled as he pulled you into his chest, taking a moment before realizing what he had just done before pulling away quickly, awkwardly clearing his throat. “uh sorry”

“no worries” You brushed him off, doing your best to hide your crimson cheeks “hope that helps with your case”

“Oh more than you know” He laughed, slowly stepping back from behind your desk.

“good” You smiled, wrapping your arms around you almost missing the way his felt around you.

“well I should-uh-“ He made a motion to exit, gathering his coat.

“Of course” You nodded “you’ve got a bad guy to catch”

He laughed in response, putting back on his tie “I do”

A silence fell over the two of you as Sam made his way to the door, hesitating as he reached for the knob.

“Hey Sam”

He spun around to face you eagerly, listening intently.

“You still have my number right?”

“I do”

He grinned back at you, shoving his hands into his pockets “I won’t”

You smiled back at him, giving him a small nod as he left your office, neither of you all to happy to see the other leave. But you forced yourself back into work, making yourself busy with cleaning up your desk.

All too soon, however, you heard the familiar sound of Sam clearing his throat, looking up to see the tall man standing awkwardly in your doorway.

“Would you like to get dinner with me tomorrow?” His words came out in a rush, all in one breath, making you giggle.

“I’d love to”

You watched his smile grow at your words, biting his lip to do his best to keep it from getting to big before nodding, at you, turning again to walk down the hallway before he paused again. You watched with a giggle as he gave you a sheepish smile and reached into your office and pulled the door shut behind him.

You all but collapsed in your chair as soon as the door closed, your grin growing bigger and bigger by the second as you thought about your date, spinning around in your chair fighting the urge to scream.

There was a knock at your door drawing you back to reality, forcing you to try and regain your composure, putting on your professional face as you walked over to the door and pulled it open.

You barely had time to process who was standing in front of you before a hand was cupping your cheek and pulling your face up to meet his, your lips crashing for a brief moment before he pulled back much too soon.

You stared up at him in shock, your eyes wide as you stood practically frozen on the spot. FYI, Mitsuha has a sister Yatsuha Miyamizu and grandma (I don’t know her name lol).They live in family temple which keep in a hundred years until now (movie time).

One day, Mitsuha’s grandma ask Taki who inside Mitsuha’s body, “are you still dreaming?”, and tell her that Miyamizu’s descendants has ability to experiencing dreams about other people’s lives, when Mitsuha’s grandma said that, suddenly Taki was waking up from his sleep. And his phone was ringing and show that today’s dating with Miki which set by Mitsuha when she is inside Taki’s body. He met Miki in station, the date seems good but in the end of the day Miki realize that there is someone else that Taki thinks and the date was failed. It is true that Taki thinks about Mitsuha, and he try to call Mitsuha and tell that he want to meet her, but he didnt make it. After that they never exchange souls. He decide to go to Mitsuha’s Village (Itomori) and meet her.

Without know what Village’s name is, he travel to Hida mountains and only count on the sketch based on his memory when he was in Mitsuha’s body. He travel with his co-worker (Miki) and his classmate (Tsukasa Fujii). He visit a restaurant, and the chef of the restaurant  knows Taki’s sketch as Itomori Village. The chef said that the village was beautiful but the village was hit by comet shards three years ago. When Taki read article about accident, he realize that the comet has killed one third of village’s population. He found Mitsuha, her sister, grandma, and also her classmate Katsuhiko Teshigarawa and Sayaka Natori who listed on the victim list. Taki, and Miki, and Tsukasa go to Mitsuha’s school, delivered by the chef. They can see the village entirely was damaged by comet. Taki check his cellphone to make sure that Mitsuha’ note on his phone is real and he wasn’t dreaming but all notes are deleted automaticly.

Trying to reconnected to Mitsuha’s body, Taki ventured to go alone to Miyamizu secret temple around Hida mountains. He realize that Mitsuha’s timeline with his were several years old. Back to when Mitsuha’s grandma said.”are you still dreaming?”, They (Mitsuha,Yatsuha, and her grandma) went to Miyamizu secret temple to present kuchikami-zake  as gift to god. Kuchikami-Zake is a rice wine which made by chewing rice – vomited back and fermented into “sake”. Her grandma said that Kuchikami-Zake is half of the soul who made it. So to get back to Mitsuha’s body,he drink Kuchikami-Zake and suddenly, miracle was happen, he is back to Mitsuha’s body in the morning in the day before comet hit the village. He still has time to save the village and convince his friend (Katsuhiko Teshigawara and Sayaka Natori) about the comet and asking their help to evacuate the village as soon as possible. They planned to blow up village electricity source and hijack village radio to tell village the comet will hit Itomori, they made it but they were found out by Regent of Itomori District Mitsuha’s father. The goverment immendiately tell people to calm down and stay at home. And suddenly the comet shows up and breaks, and Mitsuha and Katsuhiko ensure their father to evacuate the village immediately. After at Mitsuha’s father office scene, the comet hits the village, and blow up entirely. In the next eight years, it shows that Mitsuha make it, and all village was saved. Back to Tokyo, Taki was graduated from university and looking for a job, and he feels that something is missing. Taki was interviewed by HRD in office. When at one cafe, he listen to Katsuhiko and Sayaka litte chit chat and he is looking to them, they leave the cafe. In train station, they were stunned at each other when they passed each other. And they descend at the next stop to looking for each other. Finally, they are met on a stairs in Tokyo city (Suga Temple Stairs) and asking their name each other. End of the movie (“Nandemonaiya” was sung).

Beside the story I want to tell you that I really love the scene at Miyamizu’s secret temple, the director can mix the movie with japanese’s culture perfectly (Her grandma tells about Kuchikami-Zake, Misubi, and others) and the details. Other details you also can see at Suga temple’s stair. It is real in Yotsuya, Tokyo, the animator drew it perfectly detail (the railing, stairs, the hallway, the gap between houses). How To Quickly Up Your Privacy Game On The Internet This Afternoon

There is a lot of interest in digital privacy and security the last few days. While I've been helping individuals bootstrap themselves, I thought I should put together a list both for me to refer to and for other people who are bootstrapping others (or themselves) right now. IMPORTANT: This is not an exhaustive list; I'm not a security professional. I haven't talked about things that require, say, self-hosting or extensive configuration; GPG is meant to be the most technically complicated thing on this list. Nor is this meant to be "best practices" - I've made some very deliberate compromises with these choices - see my note about messaging. This is meant to be a "day off" length of project to set up for every regular user. Note: Prioritize this for your next chunk of free time. Like today. On Monday the court could decide if federal agencies have any say in anything or states can just ignore it. Rather than rewrite a lot of good guides, I'm going to list some of the operational security and privacy measures that I've thought of over the last few days. Some you've probably seen before, some you may not have considered. I've linked to guides whenever possible. These are arranged in rough order of "bang for your buck" and ease of implementation. - Messaging: The key thing that you want is "end to end encryption" (the message stays in its envelope until it gets to the recipient), and a service that doesn't go through an advertising company. Open source is preferable. While there are arguably better technical solutions (E2E P2P XMPP over Onion, probably), the best "drop-in" solution for the general public right now seems to be Signal. Signal can do encrypted VOIP phone calls as well. - VPNs: A "free" VPN is not sufficient. I personally use Private Internet Access, but I've also heard good things about ProtonVPN. Torrentfreak has a good roundup of what VPN providers retain data and how well they protect privacy. - Reduce or remove the number of apps recording or phoning home your location. That means fitness apps, Pokemon Go, Google and Apple Maps, and probably a lot more. Force stop and Disable as many of them as you can, but be aware this is a partial solution at best, since your location is tracked by your cell provider by network tower location. - Control and/or delete the information you share online. Aside from the "people search" websites I talked about last week, the Washington Post has a pretty good article about deleting as much as you can online, and a guide to the privacy settings to change in your apps and phones. - As noted by many people, period tracker apps are problematic in the current environment. Planned Parenthood has designed and released one that reportedly keeps all data local and private if you must use one. - Turn off the Google App and Assistant and Alexa and Ring and and and. It is no longer funny that you installed a wiretap in your home. - Use a privacy-centered browser. That means ditch Chrome and Edge immediately at a minimum. Firefox is probably the most familiar decent alternative, especially if you use containers (with guides on increasing privacy even more), and Vivaldi (good but getting feature bloated, IMHO) and Chromium (a de-Googled version of Chrome) if you absolutely need those Chrome extensions. For your most private stuff, keep a copy of the Tor Browser around; it allows you to browse as close to completely privately as you can get with zero configuration. - Move to a privacy-centered search engine. DuckDuckGo has become a pretty mature and good alternative. Alternately, try Searx (or host a copy yourself!) to get search results from multiple search engines while keeping your privacy. - Use the web app versions of social media sites, particularly in something like Hermit (Android) where each webapp is kept isolated. I do not know of an iOS app that does the same thing. - Change your DNS server on your computers, phones, and (if you can) router. TL;DR: The DNS server is how your computer knows where "plannedparenthood.org" is at and how to reach it. Right now, your devices are probably asking either your ISP, your phone company, CloudFlare, or Google. They may not know why you went to those sites, but there's a record of you going to those sites. Using your VPN should solve this, but if you can change your home router settings, that will help even when the VPN isn't active or for devices that can't use it. I wrote more about this in 2018; the advice is still good. - Get a GPG key and encrypt and sign all your email. Lifehacker's guide is still good; just know that Enigmail is no longer needed with Thunderbird - it can handle it all without an extension. The TL;DR: Use Mailvelope if you must use webmail, Thunderbird for desktop email. - Move away from advertising companies hosting your email. A good list of privacy-centric email providers is here: https://www.lifewire.com/best-secure-email-services-4136763 - If you find yourself needing to navigate in the real world and simultaneously, say, be in airplane mode so your phone isn't talking to anyone, consider apps that download OpenStreetMap data and use it offline. OsmAnd is a good example of one such application, though I wish its address support was better. I've learned to search for the name of the place rather than the address, which seems to work well. Also it's better for just walking or biking around and exploring. - Every purchase you make - unless you're buying with cash - is recorded somewhere, and is able to be tied back to you. It might take some work, but the data is there. Keep this in mind when making sensitive purchases. Allies who are willing to be the point of the spear, make those purchases for those who are not in a position to be able to do so. - Absence of data is also data. So if you're doing more active activism, seriously consider leaving your smartphone at home, or getting an older unlocked burner phone not otherwise associated with you. Otherwise, at least look into a Faraday bag. Location data was used to target individuals at BLM protests. - I highly recommend Cory Doctorow's Little Brother and Homeland as enjoyable novels that also introduce a lot of very pertinent concepts. For once within the past few months, I have not had any nightmares. Last night, my dreams were filled with images of a dark-blue eyed boy: Rhysand . I couldn’t stop thinking about him, and when I did so you could see my visible blush that forms. Due to my recent good mood, I decided to venture out into the city. I did a google maps search in my phone to look for local coffee shops, somewhere cozy where I could sit with a hot chocolate and draw. The closest one was 8.2 miles away, and it got 4.8 stars. It was called Rita’s. After letting Nesta and Elain know where I was heading off too, I quickly made myself look presentable, grabbed my purse and my sketchbook and hopped in the car.

 I was in the car listening to the radio for about 15 minutes when I finally arrived at my destination. I can’t deny that I was disappointed by the look of the place. It looked like a little hole in the wall cafe where no one would visit, but when I walked in, I was in awe. Nearly every table was occupied with teenagers, adults, and others of varying age. I scanned the room hoping there is a place to sit, and I find a window side seat that looked comfortable. I looked out the window and saw a beautiful view. There was a small gathering of trees and bushes, and a small playground for children, I immediately brought out my sketchbook and I started drawing the scene in front of me. I don’t know how long I was sketching for, but I looked up searching for a waiter. After a few moments, I realized that there were no waiters to take your order, but that you have to walk up to the front and order.

 I took my stuff out of my satchel to make it known to everyone else that I was sitting here, while I went to go order. I got to the back of the line, and looked up at the menu. They had a whole section for hot chocolate!! I could drink hot chocolate all day, I mean, who doesn’t love hot chocolate. I saw many flavours, such as caramel, peppermint, dark, white, and then I came across something I had never seen before. Snickerdoodle? A snickerdoodle hot chocolate? After a quick decision I chose to actually try it. I have never been an adventurous person, but I felt a little spontaneous today. When someone called, “Next in line, please”, I walked up while pulling cash out of my pocket. While searching for a 10 dollar bill, I started to order, but then I looked up and found a familiar pair of dark blue eyes staring at me, “Rhys?” I blurted without meaning to. At the same exact time, Rhys said, “Feyre?”. I smiled and continued saying, “Rhys, what are you doing here?” I exclaimed still in shock at his appearance. “I just got a job here, to keep myself busy, and to earn a little extra cash. Do you come here often?” He asks, in an almost hopeful tone. “No, actually, this is my first time here.” We were happy to continue the conversation but the person behind me in line, cleared his throat in an obvious way, that told us to hurry up.

 I gave him a shy grin, and said, “I think I will try the snickerdoodle hot chocolate.” He returned my grin and replied, “Coming right up.” I reluctantly stepped to the side and paid the cashier, while Rhys started making my drink. After 2 minutes, I snapped out of my intense gaze, realizing that Rhys was handing me my drink. He gave me toothy grin, that let me know that he was aware of my constant staring. While I grabbed the cup, his hand brushed mine. I couldn’t tell if he did it purposefully or on accident, but when I looked up into his eyes, he blushed. Rhysand blushed. I said a quick thanks, and walked back to my table in the corner, all while my heart was beating wildly. I took a sip of my hot drink, and sighed in happiness. I looked outside for the perfect scene to sketch. There was the park, the beautiful flowers, and much more that were art-worthy, but instead I looked behind me. That certain someone that was making drinks and taking orders, seemed much more appealing to draw rather than the outdoors. After grinning at my own thoughts, I got to work. I pulled out my coloured pencils, and my charcoal, and I began my outline. He had a somewhat oval face, with high cheekbones, and a sharp jawline. His hair was a curly midnight black, and was almost until his eyebrows. He was slightly flushed due to the excessive amount of working, but all in all, he was gorgeous.

 After finishing my outline, which took a lot longer than expected, I packed up, noticing that it had already been an hour and 15 minutes. I picked up my cup to finish the remains of my hot chocolate, but I realized my hands were smudged in black ink. It didn’t look like the charcoal I used, and it was definitely not the coloured pencils. So, I looked around my station, until my eyes landed on my paper cup. There was smudged calligraphy, but it was definitely still legible.

You like delicious today, Feyre, Darling. I kept reading the line over and over again, making sure I am not seeing things, that I am not hallucinating. I looked over at Rhys, to find him watching my bewildered expression. He had a twinkle of amusement in his eyes, as he was watching me fluster and blush. I was at a loss of words, should I respond back with an attitude? Should I just ignore it? But before my mind could catch up with what my hands were doing, I grabbed the napkin at my table, and jotted down my number.    (214) 682 7956 … call me -- from Feyre, Darling.

 Before I could lose my nerve, I strolled over there, sashaying my hips while doing so. I gently flipped my hair back with my hand while, I shoved the napkin into Rhys’ hands. He looked at me, slightly confused, and then he looked down to read the note. His eyes widened, and then he looked straight into my eye. I winked and smirked at him, simultaneously. I walked back to my table, picked up my bag, and left the cafe. I could feel Rhys’ stare still on my back, so I refused to turn back around to watch his expression. I guess I would be visiting Rita’s a lot more often than I thought I would be. I dumped my stuff into the trunk of my car, and opened the driver’s door. Just as I was about to start driving, I heard my phone ding. I picked it up, and saw an unknown number, and I immediately grinned. 

Hello, Feyre, Darling. I didn’t want to respond right away, because that would seem too eager, so I decided I would respond back when I was in the safety of my room. I drover back as quickly as I could, without breaking any laws, that is. I opened the front door, and tried tiptoeing upstairs, to avoid my sister’s questions. But I tripped over the rug and nearly fell face forward into the hardwood floor. Nesta and Elain came running out of the kitchen, wondering where all the commotion was coming from. I looked up at them sheepishly while I managed to stand up. Elain asked, “Are you okay…” I responded yes, and I fought so hard to keep the smile off of my face, but I didn’t succeed. I tried walking away, but Nesta grabbed me by the wrist and said, “You look suspicious. Why are you smiling?” She was always the perceptible one out of all of us. I shook my head quickly, and told them it was nothing. I knew that Nesta would seek me out about it again, because as much as she is perceptible, she is stubborn, and no matter what, she will not drop this subject. I nearly sprinted up the stairs in effort to get to my room and on my phone. I jumped onto my queen sized bed, and pulled out my phone from my back pocket.

 What was I supposed to say? I typed in so many different messages, but deleted them all. After 10 minutes of trying to choose what to say, I decided that I was being stupid and that I should just text back. I texted in my message, closed my eyes, and pressed send.

Know About Communications Apps

It's convenient to be underwhelmed by the Cisco CIUS at first sight. I'm used to using my Samsung Galaxy Tab, which is a big, lightweight Android tablet that is obviously the market leader. The CIUS, in contrast, is thin, chunky, and strong. But after a week of using it and having it all linked up to our back end networks, I'm really impressed. The apps are what matter most in tablets, and the CIUS company applications are industry winners, being original, rock stable, and really functional.

The text, schedule, and contact apps are all awesome. All fits well with mine since it's connected to our Exchange server. Emails are simple to understand, and the user interface is well-designed. The spelling word recommendations appear in a line across the panel, ready to be selected, which is a very pleasant touch.

The CIUS calendar software is much superior to my phone's easily misunderstood calendar. Many of the meetings appear in the same sequence as they do in my Outlook client, with no duplicates, deleted meetings, or a misleading arrangement. Only the meeting specifics I need, provided in a week view as well as a scrolling agenda view. Contact lenses are fantastic. You'll find all of the connections you need right there. A strong quick search feature is available. Both of my Google contracts, as well as my Trade connections, are right there. Following the download of the LinkedIn software, it often incorporates pictures and contact details from LinkedIn into the contacts view, resulting in several of my contacts getting pictures. What's much cooler is that the contacts are built into the phone app, which is where the Cisco CIUS begins to set itself apart from other Android devices.

Cisco's CIUS handset is a full-featured Cisco phone. I've been using mine from home, wired up to a Plantronics bluetooth headset. I just signed in to our VPN service with the built-in Cisco AnyConnect app, and it pulled the profile from the Cisco Communications Manager server. Since I needed one phone line and five Busy Lamp Field buttons to speed dial users, I built a custom button configuration for the CIUS. The voice quality is excellent; Cisco must have given the phone application some kind of processing priority.

Of note, it's also a full 720p HD video conferencing endpoint. This is incorporated into the phone app. Callers from outside the business, EX90 users, and Movi client users can contact me by dialling either my internal extension or my URI, which is simply my phone number at my domain. Isn't that simple? I've even tried making video calls using my 4G Verizon mifi link. When you do so, the video codec immediately defaults to the lower bandwidth Standard Definition mode. The voice stream on the video call is transparent and distortion-free, except though the video pixelates slightly. The only issue I'm getting is moving the video to the back camera to display people things; this function might be easier to use. Voice quality is excellent on both sides of the call, whether using the Plantronics headphones or the built-in speakers and microphone.

The Cisco CIUS includes the Jabber and Webex clients as usual. They easily signed into my accounts. Now that everyone at my office uses Webex Link, the Jabber client is good for Instant Messaging and Appearance, and it's great to have this alternative communications route on occasion, particularly while I'm in a conference. For the time being, all clients are fairly simple, though I am looking forward to future updates that would add voice and video, just like their laptop equivalents. If there's one thing I've learnt about owning tablets, it's to be careful with developers, which are continually enhancing their usability.

1. Unowned Accounts
