my idea for my lis/ud crossover has always been that the timelines add up pretty well with lis being in 2013 and ud being in 2015, as well as oregon and california being decently close in location (depending on where you're from in oregon, ig). from his main estate, or any estate, josh would likely fly to oregon.

in 2013, josh would have been around 17-18, the perfect age to be a senior at blackwell academy. in this verse, josh's dad acts as a fairly new investor in blackwell. he became interested in the academy during its shift to the senior-only program (two years), wanting his son and daughters to study the best. with josh's interest in following in his dad's footsteps, bob enrolled josh in 2011. this would be right around just before the curriculum changed to the two-year senior program, which josh was eligble to enroll in given his age and also his standing.

basically, it goes from there. he primarily lives in oregon for the school terms and typically plans to go home for breaks (mostly california, sometimes canada to the lodge for winter and summer occasions, and other various places globally tbh, sometimes cairo, sometimes milan). his sisters are supposed to follow suit.

can follow LIS’s timeline as a standalone verse or can intermingle with UD canon (LIS’s first-game timeline leads right into UD’s game timeline).

i had to go to the pet store yesterday to pick up some things for ivy that i can't find elsewhere and they had a conure there who i was certain had gotten his foot stuck in the ceiling of his enclosure. he specifically squawked and flapped to get my attention as i passed and looked at me pitifully until i returned with an employee who said "oh, no he just does that. he thinks it's funny." then she waved at him a certain way and he flipped himself back right side up onto the perch below him.

#he kept watching me and i'm convinced he was laughing at successfully tricking me #i love conures i think they're so funny and smart and beautiful but i cannot imagine owning one #poor guy. i hope he ends up somewhere decent with the means to give him a good life.

#you see i have a lot of feelings and opinions on how many people we kill in Inquisition #Cygnus also has many feelings about it and is constantly weighed down by the amount of people he has to kill. self defense or not #honestly i keep putting that guy through worse and worse shit #he lost his entire sense of self in the span of a month #he constantly plagued by the fears and worries about how his story will be told after he's dead #how his image might be twisted or used and he's as powerless to stop it as he was from the beginning #and then also he has to kill. all the time. for what he has to convince himself is the greater good #even though he doesn't believe in the Maker. and he saw what the Chantry did to Ameridan. and what it keeps doing to everyone else #Also Trespasser is a whole ordeal you can imagine how he felt learning history and context he didn't have before #and then learning his friend and companion is also trying to destroy shit. the shit he JUST fixed #even funnier is i v much gave him a humorous/sarcastic personality so he's just doing his best to make everyone like him #is it working? who knows.#his one strength is like being a people person and taking care of others and so he's decent at leading but like #doesn't mean he wants to do it he kind of hates it all the time always and wants to go home #ok ok im done talking im sorry i have him on my mind rn #man. i need to finish his actual character sheet

i left all of my s19 prepping for the last week and was NATURALLY left completely unable to play starting last tuesday night bc of the aforementioned Truck Shitting All Over My Internet Cable incident

wanted to start fresh w/ Content Creation(TM) in the new season & be more consistent abt my streaming & whatnot but, seems like I'm not gonna get to ride that wave- for the second season in a row (the EXACT same cable-getting-fuckt-as-an-act-of-god happened last time too lmaoooooo)

so........ idk. it's 1:30 am. I can't rearrange shit around the apartment or my pieceofshit upstairs neighbours are gonna do the thing they love to do (turn on their car's alarm if they detect any signs of intelligent life from my apartment, waking up my non-pieceofshit neighbour whomst is also my coworker & probably the whole city block in the process)

i'm tempted to buy a geforce now membership & do some absolute last-minute grinding on my bf's laptop that can actually catch enough of the neighbour's wifi for gaming....... but there's a chance the cable does actually get fixed tomorrow & if so I'd be throwing those $9 away

then again, if the cable DOESN'T get fixed tomorrow, I'm gonna Have To buy it or go another week without being able to schedule e-pal orders, the profits of which added up to like 5x-6x my stream income last month, which is a bit more than my 'formal' job -_____-

I'm gonna go stress-cook a fuckton of zucchini so all I need to do tomorrow is toss them in the blender for s o u p

I know Mai is sort of like the typical "kind of a bitch" female character that often has a lot of sexist tropes playing around, but for some reason... I actually like her?

#I don't know #She's rude and can be ruthless #but she actually seems kind of. not truly bad? Like a teen after all idk #A bit like how Todo seemed like the burly rude giant bully kind of guy but is sort of... sweet?#And though it surprised me at first it makes sense to me now that Todo and Mai seem to be... close?#They're The Mean Ones but actually they don't seem too bad idk #Kamo and Mechamaru gave me quite a more ruthless in a bad way feeling in that one Kyoto reunion they had with the disgusting old man #But it's also true they're Jujutsu teen sorcerers in that Jujutsu shitty society and their principal is asking this of them as is law #Megumi had that kind of reaction to Itadori as well at first because that's what the law says until he chose for himself otherwise #And the way it was presented with Gojo appearing later and asking about his 'personal feelings' and all that #as well as what we saw about the Tokyo school later on it seems like Gojo is enhancing #this 'think for yourself beyond the established rules' mindset to his students as opposed to the Kyoto school and that principal #I guessed right two months ago when I said I imagined the second school would be in Kyoto and that they'd be more traditional #Anyway... I'm just imagining the absolute mayhem that would ensue if you promised a kiss to whichever 141 guy wins their mock FIFA tournament.

"I'll kiss the winner if it means you guys'll just shut the fuck up already n' play!"

The way Gaz and Soap would immediately fight over a controller. Ghost would white knuckle his grip and narrow his eyes at the TV. Price would scoff and walk out because, while he can play decently well, he's used to the older versions of FIFA. Also, if he really wanted a kiss from you he'd rather get it without an audience and all the fanfare.

Of course Ghost kicked everyone's ass, although Gaz certainly gave him a run for his money. With how intense he'd gotten throughout the game, you thought he'd want his prize immediately. Instead he just mutters something hungrily in your ear before he leaves the rec room.
