hey sorry im just curious. How come you dont like beast x ancient? Whats wrong with it? arent they actually kinda like soulmates or somethin like that?

It's the mutual romance angle that I don't like, it just feels kinda off and wrong for me, given what the beasts put the ancients through. I just don't see the ancient going through beast-inflicted trauma and then turning around and confessing their love. I know some people give them aus where it makes more sense, and that's fine, but it's just not my personal cup of tea yknow? And again I don't have any issue with people who ship them like that, it's just ehhh not for me.

I WILL say that I'm behind the idea of beast x ancient if it's unrequited love though, as in the beast has a toxic crush on the ancient. That feels more in character to me. It's how I see SM/PV personally, Burning Spice could feel that for Golden Cheese post-chapter (lowkey waiting to see if ES/HB are the same. kinda hope so lol), and I suppose some people would still call that Shadowvanilla/Burningcheese? I wouldn't, but that just goes into a whole other topic of what classifies as a ship and what doesn't. It just boils down to the individual's interpretation at the end of the day, I suppose.

but all in all ship and let ship yknow, I have better things to do than join the CRK Shipping War lol. I've got my opinions and that's as good as that. if anything, im more bothered/tired that some of these ships take up 80% of certain tags, but not much you can do about that lmao

i am still enjoying this season of yj but i am still gonna admit.. it’s not as good as the first 2 at all unfortunately. there has been some weird writing choices made, sidelining of characters that shouldn’t be, the energy is not as like.. perfectly enrapturing as the first 2 (personally season 2 is my favorite i love the absolute bleak insanity descent it is). i’m not mad like… it is what it is and im still having fun watching, im still very much invested. but i would be lying if i said there wasn’t some disappointment

the felix gonzalez torres ross in la post is so annoying to me cause like. the decontextualization IS bad, it’s a bad curating decision, enough that i feel confident saying that despite having no curating experience or expertise lol… it’s either very stupid or actively malicious… i haven’t seen the exhibit so i can’t respond to the gallery’s claim that the context is otherwise represented throughout the exhibit but i think the fact that it’s not on/by the piece itself IS enough for me to say that it’s an objectively bad curation decision. like imo the possibility of the rest of the exhibit having that context is just the line between bad and worse.

but then you go into the notes of That Post and everyone’s like “they CHANGED the SHAPE!!! the CANDY looks DIFFERENT!!! how dare they!!!” like SCREAMSSSSS that’s not the point that’s not the problem you are upset about the wrong thing you are looking at a car crash and yelling about the color of the paint
