''You want to swap helmets later?'' Kimi asked her, the sound of screaming and applauding fans surrounding them as they stood on the moving bus. 

Her eyes widened as the question left his lips, surprised that the Alfa Romeo driver would want to do the tradition with her. ''Uh, yeah, sure. I would love to.'' Her slightly open mouth turned into a bright smile. 

''Rianna has been asking for you the entire week so you can see her then as well.'' The Finn grinned. The female driver had been Kimi's daughter's favourite driver since the girl had started attending the F1 races. 

Y/N chuckled at his words. ''I'll bring some merch for her and Ace.'' 

''Really? That's very sweet, they'll like it a lot.'' Kimi appreciated all the time she would spend with his kids, knowing the joy it brought to them. 

''I love spoiling my fans,'' she smiled, ''as long as I get like a cool helmet from you, though! I'm very particular about my collection.'' 

The young woman was known for all the helmets of other drivers she had received over the years. She had proudly shown them off in a livestream after someone asked about the drivers she had swapped helmets with, even admitting she had to buy several extra shelves to store all of them. 

''I was told, I'll do my best.'' Kimi laughed, recalling someone from the Alfa Romeo team telling him about the driver's special collection as soon as he informed them about his desire to swap helmets with her. 

The Iceman didn't disappoint, gifting her one of his more unique helmet designs of the season with a short, but sentimental message written on the side: ''You've proven them wrong. Keep going. Stay smiling.'' His signature penned under it. 

Y/N had written a longer goodbye: ''Thank you for all the great races you have given us. It was an honour to share the track with you these last years. Good luck with your ice cubes, Iceman :)'' 

They mumbled a ''thank you'' towards each other as they handed one another their helmets, reading the messages with soft smiles on their faces. The pair posed for a picture together, their own respective team's photographers and Kimi's wife, Minttu, snapping a photo of them. 

''I'm gonna miss your silence.'' Y/N chuckled, causing others to do so as well. 

''I will miss your loudness.'' Kimi retorted, having everyone laugh even harder at his blunt and witty response. 

The Finn reached out to her with his free arm, initiating a hug with the young woman. She was caught off guard. The man had never offered her an embrace before- their physical interactions only going as far as a fistbump. 

She accepted, wrapping her own free arm briefly around him and resting her hand on his back. Kimi patted her own back a few times. 

The pair pulled back, satisfied smiles on both their faces. The Alfa Romeo driver crouched down next to his daughter. ''We will see her soon, okay?'' He reassured Rianna, who didn't take her eyes off the female driver as she absentmindedly nodded to what her father was saying. 

''You can visit me and we can eat a lot of food together.'' Y/N told the small girl. Rianna smiled brightly at her words, nodding her head. 

''Say bye bye to Y/N.'' Kimi whispered to her. 

Rianna stepped out of her father's arms. ''Bye bye, Y/N.'' The little girl skipped over to her, jumping into the older woman's embrace. ''Bye bye.'' Y/N kissed the side of Rianna's head, touched by the youngest Raikkonen's love. 

As the girls pulled apart, Kimi picked his daughter up- facing his, now, former competitor. ''Have a safe trip home, okay?'' 

Y/N nodded, appreciating his concern. ''You guys too.'' 

Minttu stepped forward, also offering the woman a hug. ''We wish you the best next season. We'll continue to root for you.'' She smiled, stating her support for the female driver. 

''Thank you so much, and have a nice Christmas together.'' Y/N said to her, appreciating that their family would continue rooting for her. She also high-fived a shy looking Robin who clinged to his mother. 

''We'll call, okay?'' Kimi mimicked a phone with his hand, looking at her. She nodded her head, delighted the man wanted to continue having contact with her. 

''We will.''

But there is a death threat when the child wants to play with Luffy and luffy accidentally throwing the baby too high. But sanji would be a good caretaker with the food getting the babies needs in foods, if the child is allergic to this ortat, Robin is instantlythe mother nobody can change she would benthe best mother in the world. Zoro is great with kids (watch episode 318). Imagine the baby napping with him or sttig on his back while he exercises. Brook and Franky would be the uncles to spoil the baby with toys and clothes, gifts you name it. Usopp and Chopper are the baby siblings, playing with baby and jokes all around. Nami is the sister that protects the baby when their dangers (well, they all do, but she is in the scaredy cat trio) like pulling the baby close and running away.

Oh you are spot on right there anon, Luffy is great with kids, just like ace as we saw with Tama and Momonosuke and how he protected her. But just as before just because he is good at protecting the baby and getting on the same wavelengh dosen’t exactly mean the child is gonn aleave unscathe. Luffy is capable of trying to give the baby some meat, if he decides to share it I mean. He dosen’t mean any harm he just dosen’t know, one thing he would be the to go to person is being blunt Id imagine when the kid is older he would go all the time to Luffy, as silly as he is he is also really blunt jusg as we see when he tells people when they are being annoying or crybabies no matter who they are so the kid can count on Luffy to not sugarcoat things just the blunt truth but also give them support. Fun big but honest brother. Totally capable of chucking them to high, but not to worry the crew is always there to save the kid! Hopefully…

Sanji just like you said would be great tending to the kids nutritional needs, we all know he is more than willing to adapts to not knly the needs of a person but also their preferences so no matter what kind of things the kid liek he is ready to provide. Because of his backround I also think he would be more in tune to the feelings of a baby and be good person to go to when they are emotional or just need someone to cry to when they are a little but older

Robin just has that motherly aura, can’t tell me otherwise, like Sanji I think because of her backround she would be more understanding of a child and the emotions they can bring. He has a few years under her belt and because of her background working with someone like Crocodile and all those people she is incredibly patient and is unlikely to loose her cool on the face of a baby’s high demands.

Zoro we know he is great with kids, my man took care of those triplets with style, like did you see how he gave that one baby his milk? Man is cool even under that situation. Not only have we seen him with actual babies but have you seen his relationship with Chopper? Get this man his adoption papers pronto. And despite how he is with Sanji . With a baby I feel liek he would have the patience of a saint, just the baby tossing and turning and he simply shifts or puts him back on hid lap endlessly, to the point that he does it unconsciously, his instincts won’t let that baby fall even if they were napping upside down. Hear me out kn those exercises, I know he is mostly into weights but if he ever does a run, just strap the baby in and you got a weight vest. And he takes the baby on certain weight exercises because the movements are akin to rocking.

Now Brook, you might have seen this one coming but lullubies, baby has got A nap buddy, their oen personal chef and their own personal concert what more can you wish? The baby might not understand what he is saying but you can bet that he will be making skeleton jokes everytime he is on baby duty and the baby will just laugh along because of his laugh ( he thinks they are laughing at his jokes so he keeps them going)

Now listen not only is Franky one of the cool uncles, my man can pull up all kinds builds for the kid, need a new craddle? Leave it up to him, need a new crib? You got one with the latest technology in the blink of an eye. Listen he tried to give the baby soda but after getting screamed at explained that a baby cannot have soda, you can bet the baby will have a Soda stuffie to replace the lack of real Soda. Baby’s gonna have a superrrrrr good laugh with him.

Ussop, like Franky will make sure the baby has everything available, he builds the baby all kinds of fun toys for them to play with; not only that but he gaves a detailed explanation on everything he does, baby will leave with a new toy and a course on construction. He can easily make that baby laugh with his goofy attitude too, rest assured that when the crew disembarks into dangerous territory you will have Ussop’s full disposition to stay behind with the baby.

Chopper has two modes, first one just like you said is being on the same wavelength as the baby. If Chopper is ever nowhere to be found, the crew knows to check the babies room, chopper is often napping with the baby with both of them hugging and cuddling eachother. Don’t count on him to be there when baby needs changing though, that nose of his won’t be able to take it. Second nose is doctor mode, a baby is really vulnerable and won’t be able to communicate what he’s feeling and Chopper is always ready to make him all better and provide the best care the baby could get.

Big sister Nami won’t let baby have anhthing but the best, you know why baby is always dressed up in what seems to be better clothes than the rest if the crew? Yep that comes from rich big Sister Nami. Baby has an outfit for every occasion, not only that but on everystop you can be sure that if Nami dosen’t come back with a new clothing item then she is returning for a new plush toy for the baby. On calm days when everything is quiet you can hear from the deck Nami playing some silly game like peekaboo with baby Strawhat

Lastly we have Jinbei. Him and Ussop often pair up to tell the best of stories they can tell, Ussops crazy stories combined with Jinbei’s calm voice is an audience pleaser. Wether it is an action story to entertain baby strawhat or a bedtime story he’s got it. When there’s a swimday you can bet that it’s Jinbei’s time to chain, they might just be a baby but they will have the time of their lives either way when jinbei is on duty

a.n. - i miss my man deeply😞 here's a bit of birthday headcanons with nanami :) (gender neutral reader) (time line might be a bit off, but for the sake of headcanons, just pretend lol)

he doesn't really expect you to get him anything, given how new your relationship is. you've been together for roughly 4 months, but this is a first major milestone in the relationship - gift giving for a birthday.

but, you have the upper hand of having grown up with one another. while, yes, it is a relatively new romantic relationship, the both of you have been friends for a while, and you know exactly what it is you have in mind to give him, considering you know him better than he thinks.

you've given him presents in the past, sure, but those were as friends. now, you have a bit more freedom to make birthdays much more intimate. you start the morning out with a massage, given how tired he's been lately. you had to do everything you could to get him to have his birthday off so you could do this.

i think he's very appreciative of a massage, giving you grunts and moans throughout the massage. he loves the lavender and mint scents you use, feeling every knot in his body loosen as you worked your way down through his back and arms, feeling hesitant at first about you getting his legs, but knowing it was the right decision when he felt those muscles getting their much needed relaxation.

he definitely prefers a quiet day in, and you love spoiling him throughout the day, considering how much he does unconscious, simple spoiling for you. he loves hearing you laugh as you make your way around the kitchen, breathing in the wonderful scents of what you're making. you had found a recipe for bread online that you know kento would love, having known him for a while. you also make him his favorite food for breakfast, his coffee the way he likes, along with a few other sweets for the day.

and you were right, kento loved every ounce of food you had made him, always someone who appreciates acts of service in this sense, along with the quality time you had convinced him to take today. he always feels bad giving into work easily, but is glad for the times you remind him that he adores being around you.

he's appreciative with whatever it is you get him, although he'll say he's always a bit more appreciative when you two are just together, a day to yourselves. he loves curling into you, cuddling into your chest. he won't admit it to anyone, but he loves being able to be in your arms, how you play with the hair at the nape of his neck, the hair that has now become unkempt and slightly curly.

"you know, for your next birthday, we should go to malasyia, like you've always wanted. we could scope out the place, see what the housing market's like." you tell him, half joking, but really hoping he'd want to take a mini vacation to do that.

"yeah, that doesn't sound half bad. maybe we could bring that new kid, itadori. maybe takuma as well. they've been working hard lately, and could use a break as well." he responds, breath tickling your neck where he's in the crook of shoulder and neck.

you giggle where it tickles, heart melting at how much he cares for the kids he tends to be stoic around.

"that sounds great, it is your birthday, you could bring who you want. but they're both very sweet and i'd love to bring them along." you say, thinking back to the moments you've interacted with them in your sorcery life.

GOTHAM FILES: SEASON 6

Okay, so right off the BAT, there’s a lot of stuff going on. Everyone is very interested in this new kid, this “Damian Wayne.” He just shows up outta nowhere and—holy cow—he’s ANNOYING. He treats everyone he meets poorly, even Alfred—he thinks that he’s above them all (he is super skilled and super mart, but BOY does he have a bragging problem)—he’s spoiled, he’s selfish—HE TRIED TO KILL TIM AND TAKE THE MANTLE OF ROBIN BECAUSE HE THINKS IT’S HIS BIRTHRIGHT—everyone is ticked at this little punk and the only one keeping them from trying to strangle Damian is Bruce. Damian is his responsibility. It’s up to him to try and get Ra’s’s brainwashing out of his head. And no, Damian, you can’t just show up and steal the title of Robin—that’s not how this works! *Damian angry face.* Unfortunately, though, Damian inherited Bruce’s stubbornness and Talia’s craftiness, so he finds ways to barge into the crime-fighting field, which Bruce isn’t all too thrilled about because Damian has a tendency to stabby-stab his enemies. A lot. And on top of all of this, Dick is just trying to plan his wedding in the background, which is a huge undertaking because Starfire is Tamaranean Royalty, so there’s going to be two ceremonies, one on Tamaran, one on Earth, and everything’s happening all at once, and everyone just wants to take a nap.

But wait, it gets better!

So, after the season premier, Damian is starting to acclimate. He and Tim came to an arrangement. Tim agrees to temporarily hand over the title of Robin to him so that he can try and go sort things out with his father, and now Damian can receive Bruce’s full attention… and full discipline. Bruce isn’t gonna stand for anymore stabbing, choking, or other such unaliving, which Damian is having a really, really hard time with. He thinks Bruce is a weak coward, but Bruce stands his ground, just like he did with Jason. If Damian can’t follow this one simple rule, then he has no real self control at all.

Then he has a crucial moment. Damian goes it alone on a mission, thinking he’s got everything under control, and Bruce frantically goes after him, getting Jason flashbacks. Damian does, in fact, get in over his head, and Bruce swoops in, saving his life before it gets brutally taken from him. It’s this moment, where Bruce shows so much fear and care and love for his son, that Damian has to take a pause. Talia… had never been like this. She cared about Damian A LOT, but her methods usually involved letting Damian get hurt to teach him a lesson. Same with Ra’s. They’d been brutal with him since the moment he drew his first breath. That was the only way Damian knew how to love. But this… this was totally different. Bruce was… asking if he was okay. He was hugging him. He was scolding him for going out alone—for scaring him half to death. Damian thought he was overreacting and being a bit melodramatic, but… he secretly also felt… touched. He just didn’t understand it, though. Why was Bruce getting so worked up?

One day, Dick has an idea. The whole point here is to get him to realise the value of life, right? Dick knows someone who knows someone who owns a horse ranch out in the country, and one of their mares is expected to go into labour soon. In the middle of the night, Dick wakes Damian up and they go together to the ranch and he’s asked to help deliver the foal. Damian doesn’t see the point in this at all, but he goes along. During the labour, the baby almost dies, but thanks to Damian’s quick thinking, he saves its life. A few hours later, the little guy is up on wobbly legs, licking Damian’s face and trying to figure out how to run. Damian actually can’t help but smile. (Not that he lets Dick see, of course.) But Dick knows. He’s just found a chink in Damian’s armour. He reports back to Bruce and he comes up with a new strategy. As a welcome home gift, he buys Damian a dog: a Great Dane which Damian names Titus. It will be his responsibility to raise him, train him, feed him, and care for him. And, thankfully, this does begin to help a little. The edge on Damian is starting to soften. HOWEVER, little does Bruce know, but he’s inadvertently set in motion a new problem, because on the next mission, Damian rescues a cat and asks if they can keep him. Bruce sighs, but says yes. Damian names him after their butler, Alfred. THEN, he manages to rescue a COW from a slaughter house and he brings it home saying he wants to keep it. (She has a mark on her face that looks like a bat mask, and Damian named her Bat-Cow.) Bruce is… beside himself. He’s created a whole new kind of monster. After a lot—and I mean A LOT—of convincing and pleading, Bruce finally caves and says, “Okay, fine, but this is the last animal, Damian! I mean it!” They already have Ace, and now there’s Titus and Alfred the Cat and Bat-Cow.

A lot of other smaller things happen along the way, too. I mean, these are all meant to be 26 episode full seasons, so there are a lot of mini adventures. We check up on how things are going with Tim (eeeeh, it could be better, it could be worse), we check in on Jason, who’s making a name for himself in the Gotham underground, taking out gangs and stuff. Batgirl’s been busy with her new relationship and taking care of her dad as he starts to get older. Dick and Star are still planning the wedding, of course (the Teen Titans couldn’t be happier for him!) We meet Harper this season, though she’s a very minor character here (can you blame me? There’s SO MANY CHARACTERS to juggle already…) and there’s more supervillains to fight.

Then, something big happens. It starts out simple. Bruce goes away on a mission with the Justice League, and Alfred’s in charge. No going out on missions until he gets back. So naturally, Damian has to go and do something while Bruce is away. It’s a fun, shenanigan-based episode… until word gets back that Bruce… is gone. During his mission with the Justice League, something happened. They’re not sure what yet, but Bruce just… vanished. Poof. No body. Just gone. Damian and the rest of the BatFam don’t know what to do… but they gotta get their stuff together fast. Gotham’s criminals are getting wise to the fact that the Bat’s no longer in town. Enter the Battle for the Cowl storyline, where Dick steps up to be the thing he secretly hoped he never would become: Batman. With Damian as his Robin, they go to try and take control of the city, and hopefully find out where Bruce went. But, they’re not the only ones. Jason also joins in the battle for the cowl, and he tries to be Batman too, though he has a hard time finding a Robin. Not to mention, now there’s Batwoman?! Huh?! Is everyone in Gotham gonna just throw on a cowl and try to take Bruce’s place??

Long story short, Tim’s the one who ultimately figures out what happened to Bruce. He got taken for a time travel ride. After much techno babble, yada yada, science fiction nonsense, McGuffin here, goober there, etc etc, (and after pulling out a few hairs) Dick manages to lead the mission to get Bruce back. He’s more than happy to give the cowl back too, (“don’t ever leave again.”) though this adventure did lead to one good thing: He got to spend a lot of time with Damian. The two have grown rather close over the course of this adventure.

We conclude by Tim coming back into the Bat Family fold, having mostly reconciled with his father. (Mr. Drake doesn’t really approve, but… he can’t deny that now Tim is basically his own man and can do what he wants. It’s uneasy, but it’s something.) So Tim dons the Red Robin persona (though, to be honest, I’m desperately searching for a different name, because I can’t take him seriously while he’s named after a fast food restaurant—help. I want to use Redwing so bad, but it’s a Marvel character and another DC character already, apparently! 😭) and Tim and Steph are also officially an item! ❤️

And we ALSO CONCLUDE…

With Dick and Starfire’s wedding. Finally. Everyone’s there. The Justice League, Young Justice, the Teen Titans, the BatFam, and half the population of Tamaran. And this wedding is very important… because it starts to get Bruce thinking… about a certain someone…

He and Selina have been very on-again off-again. They both like each other, but they both have so many issues and there’s always been so much work going on that Bruce didn’t really think it was possible for the two of them to really have a full blown, proper relationship, but now��� now that Dick has proven that you can make it work as a vigilante… Bruce starts looking at rings… it’s just a thought, but… still…

Fools Rush In

JJ Rogers, little boy, super curious and loves science like his own Ma, sickly like his papa was originally. Keeps though? Keeps is pretty darn happy with how Steve gently dotes on his son. Since James Joseph isn't exactly built for wrestling and running around, Steve doesn't push for that kind of interaction. They love doing crafts together, and Steve willingly participates in small, fun experiments--he's even super fascinated by some of those like a little kid himself!

It Had To Be You

The worst offender of the stereotyping for his kiddos, but in his defense, the fancy little girl's clothing from designers is precious, too. Sarah and the Power Ladies gift so much cute sh*t that it's difficult to get away from, but they also set a great example for your daughter doing whatever she wants in any clothing!

Since Steve has that workout equipment right there in the penthouse, he immediately involves his son in exercising. Precious has had so much bad experience with toxic masculinity, you are protective of your daughter anywhere near business workplaces. It's rarely only Steve taking her around the office with him. That's the hazard of your rise to power, though, and you and Steve both actively think about how not to pass that concern onto the next generation needlessly.

Steve gets way better about treating them differently as boys and girls age. By the age of ten or so, Steve's universally just a pushover. Spoils all his kids completely rotten--though, in all fairness, the kids have good heads on their shoulders.

Autumn Is Healing

To be honest, Rosie is just elated to see someone show kindness to her children at all, and you don't really have any issue with Steve's traditional approach. (In my mind, however, Rosie does not have any biological children with Steve. She's been through too much to start that again. They could adopt an older child or two, perhaps, but I don't think she gives birth again.)

Ooooooooooooookay, there's...some plot points I have to skip over in order to answer this one, but yes, Tops certainly dings Steve when he treats boys and girls with different standards. You're having none of it. Steve, of all people, should know you can't predict what anyone is going to be, or be good at, as an adult. He should nurture any and all hobbies. Period.

Threadbare

I never specified girl or boy for this baby, and I've never leaned either way. You best believe Button does not allow Steve to favor 'girly' vs. 'manly' activities **if either kid has already shown interest. That's the big caveat to that: if your daughter hasn't shown any interest in sports or whatever, then you're not going to step in. If your son shows interest in fashion, like you, or art, like Steve, then you can be damn sure you fight for Steve to honor that.

Sun, Salt, and Shield

No one knows what sex the baby/child is until puberty due to the variations in tail- and mermaid-anatomy. Tony isn't allowed to try to figure it out, and very pointedly, you don't care. It doesn't matter.

This drives Steve a little bonkers. Does his kid need to cover their chest for modesty? Or are there different levels of nutrients needed for girls and boys? Steve wants a classic fatherhood experience, but that's very hard to do when he has to explain why there's a different way to toss a ball based on their genitalia...

You respond by having him show you the different ways to pitch and then whacking the ball so hard with your tail that it can easily be categorized as a 'home run' both ways. It doesn't matter.

Safety Captain

No clue if they ever have kiddos. The main story won't go nearly that far into their relationship, but as a father, I could see this Steve being pretty relaxed. He would be so excited to enjoy sports and stuff with a son, but he'd be the most open to including a daughter in physical activities right away. They'd obviously learn to swim alongside learning to walk, no questions asked, no exceptions. Pool and water safety would be drilled into those toddlers.

• Dave's got a sweet tooth and nothing will ever convince me otherwise; he loves sweets, candies and above all, chocolate but his job demands him to keep fit and in shape under any circumstances, so besides all the working out he does nearly everyday, he also keeps himself in check, controlling his eating habits which means he restrains himself from eating too much sugar on regular basis

• but Easter he doesn't have to keep himself from enjoying things too much, quite the opposite, it's the day he actually allows himself to eat whatever he wants and you take the opportunity to spoil your handsome boyfriend. So you start by making him pancakes and chocolate chip cookies for breakfast, Dave loves it! He's excited to see you care so much for him, and he eats everything up

• of course you will exchange chocolate, just like the Easter tradition says, but it's not just any chocolate, it's BELGIUM CHOCOLATE 🤌 and he's immediately thrilled by it, you know how much he loves it and it warms your heart to see Dave's eyes sparkling over something so simple such as a chocolate

• but Easter Sundays aren't just a picnic either, because of course he's gotta visit his girls, even if it's just to drop by their gifts, but you know it always takes a toll on him, because Carol makes sure to annoy the hell out of him, and worst of all: using the kids for it

• ideally, Dave would prefer to spend some time with you and the girls, working on some bonding time and have fun as a family, but since the girls were little monsters towards you, acting up and being impolite, plus how Carol reacted afterwards, you both got into an agreement you wouldn't do it again, so he goes out to spend time with them and then comes back to you

• however, you both know it will probably be a disaster but what could he do? He missed his girls and he had made - with your help - a lovely Easter basket with some chocolate eggs, some of their favorite candy, a lip gloss each and a plushie bunny, just like when they were little, and he was hoping they'd be happy with it

• they weren't; and they didn't even try to hide it. They just got disappointed because Carol said if Dave spent too much on you, then he should give them new iPads for Easter and that's what they expected so when they saw the basket, they both rolled their eyes

• and let me tell you: Dave kills people, he's rough and tough but those girls have the power to gut him, and after spending a lunchtime and mid afternoon clearly being told he's just bothering them or he's lame, he decided to take them back to their mother's and head home to you, regretting not spending Easter with someone who really deserved it

• when he got home earlier, you were surprised, thinking he would be home only later for dinner, but judging by his upset face, you could tell those means girls had to do with it. You hugged him and told him you'd make him great dinner, but he said no, instead, he told you you should both go out to eat at a nice restaurant

• you agreed, picking one you knew Dave loved and going with him to try and cheer him up. Easter was such a nice date, you hated he got upset because of his daughters' behavior and wanted him to have a special evening, so after the delicious dinner, you and him got home, telling Dave to wait for you in bed, you showed up to him in bunny ears and a bunny tail butt plug

• it was enough to cheer him up and make him excited, especially when he pulled you to him and you bounced on him like the naughty little bunny you were

• once you were both done, Dave held you tight against him, caressing your skin gently as you nuzzled his chest

I mean, could you really blame him? It's not everyday that you get a big ol' crate full of the apples that you were raised with.

By all means, epel should've been long sick of eating apples. Having them almost everyday for majority of his life, dried and dehydrated in the winter, and fresh and juicy in the spring and summer.

But no, no epel felmeir loves those apples. Every single one he ate seemed to effortlessly send him back to the simpler times of his childhood. Where he would send hours upon hours avoiding his siblings and playing games with his cousins in the orchards and taking naps in the sun while he waited for his meemaws infamous apple pies to finish baking. And meemaw would almost always let him have the first slice! Of the ones she wasn't going to sell at least.

He really missed her...

He'd have to ask her to bake him another one this winter.

But just getting to read the letter she had wrote, along with his parents and one of the towns kids that always followed him around like a lost baby duck, put a smile on his face.

Yeah. He'd get to see them soon, and once he graduates, he can get them more money, and be strong enough to protect them if it ever came to that.

Unfortunately, as great as his parents apples were, they couldn't fight the natural forces of time.

Dear sevens- they'd sent him nearly three dozen apples! All high quality too... it shouldn't effect sales too much. The orchards were big, and his parents would rather give up that expensive family heir loom necklace that his mother always wore than start selling spoiled apples.

But still, epel couldn't possibly eat thirty-six apples before they all started to rot. Plus, he didn't know how long they took to ship to the isle of sages, so that cut the time frame even shorter.

But all that aside, you were still scarily underweight. Seriously perfect, how were you even alive?

It can't be normal. Hiding this much food underneath your floorboards couldn't ever be normal.

The two of you were just hanging out in your room in Ramshakle. Grim was in the lounge, he was sure, and you had stared off into space before asking the date.

When he told you, you had a look of slight panic as you ripped the rug off from its place on the floor, and started pulling apart the boards.

And what for?

The reveal of a large stash of food, mostly non-perishables, but a few snacks here and there too.

Snacks that were about to expire, apparently.

You turned to look back at him, a sheepish look on your face, and what looked like a bag if chips in your hand.

Deuce didn't know what face he was making.

You eyed the sandwich like it was the most untrustworthy thing you'd ever seen. Jack's not going to lie, it kind of hurt.

But it wouldn't matter if you ate it, so he sucked it up.

Jack briefly considered just varying off and giving the sandwich to ruggie or something, or just eating it himself. He wasn't the biggest fan of pastrami but who knows, maybe the school made it better.

Honestly, he probably would have done just that if the image if you leaning against the wall looking ready to pass out from, what he knew, was malnutrition.

The event itself actually happened around two weeks ago, give or take. Jack thinks the only real reason he remembers it so well is because, well, it was the moment.

The defining moment, the moment where it just clicked that something was very wrong here.

He already knew that of course, I mean, look at you.

But as it turns out, watching someone actively starve to death in front of you will keep you up at night.

His mind turned to ruggie for a split second, before forcibly shoving that thought down where all the other thoughts he didn't want to think about were.

Like that time when he was a kid with a crush on Vil....yeah, Jack's happy he got o er that one to say the least. Nothing against Vil, he's a great friend and all (they were friends right?), but them in a relationship? Yeah. No. Not happening. No thankyou.

Jack mentally slapped hi.self and proceeded to shove his weird thoughts down yet again and refocus on getting his not-quite-friend to eat.

You were leaning back a lot farther than you were a second ago, if you did that anymore you'd probably just end up on the ground.

...jack sighed. This was going to take a while wasn't it?

By the end of the lunch period, you had come to a compromise, jack you slip the sandwich with you and take the other half for himself.

You ended up splitting your half with grim, who reluctantly took it. You had actually eaten yours too!...after you took the while thing apart and inspected and obsessed over it like how he'd seen Rook do to his housewardens that one time!

But still, it was something.

It was a start. And that's really all he could ask for at this point.

He would be lying if he said he cared too much about him. Again, he didn't have time to be curious about some strange human boy with some strange past.

But still, he couldn't quite contain the way he jumped back when he'd first seen them.

Whoever he was, he looked so...sick.

...he didn't have time for this.

Turning back on his heel, he refocused his mind on finding his lord again, and quickl- wait- silver. Oh great sevens. Silver wake up!

Ok. Sebek really didn't have time for this.

Here he was, standing next to you, arms out ready to catch you at a moments notice if you really were going to collapse like he thought you were.

He hadn't been this close to you before.

And now he could see that you weren't just sick.

Sebek zigbolt had always known humans were weak, fragile creatures. Never able to even light a candle next to faeries. Never able to light a candle next to him, and certainly not his young master.

But this was just pushing it.

Sebek was stronger than his human counterparts. He would long outlive them. He thought of silver for the shortest second and then quickly pushed that thought to the side. This was not the time. Buteven with those facts, sebek still knew that humans weren't made of fine glass. Even if the people in his homeland liked to act like it, Sebek still knew that humanity wasn't completely hopeless.

One strong gust of wind wouldn't knock them over.

One missed meal wasn't enough to do detrimental damage to their health.

Pulling one all nighter would barely put a dent in their day to day lives, aside from the obvious fatigue and.

Epel sat up, ignoring his stomach pain the best he could, and began a mental list of all the people he knew. And then a silent debate over who deserved his families apples in the first place.

Oof, P03 is a tough one.

P03 never planned or was interested in having a child, and yet, here you are.

P03 is horrible at showing the affection they have for someone. The easiest type of affection for P03 to express affection is simply helping you with whatever difficulties you are having.

They help you pick up things you can't reach for your size, helps you with tasks you're having and listens to you talk about the horrible day you had (with a bonus of them calling whoever bothered you an asshole. And having something against that person after that day).

Modern Hantengu Clone Headcanons

I’m procrastinating writing and I have SO many headcanons of these clones so I’m just going to share them. See if you can spot my favorite.

We previously had a whole Discourse Session about x reader fic on this blog, but I just saw this in visual form on my dashboard (Blorbo hugging/kissing a greyed-out silhouette instead of the artist's OC), and I am back to thinking how being expected to insert my OC into the author-prepared slot is not my thing (and makes me a bit sad, actually) because... all my OCs fall for their love interest, even if it's the same person, for different reasons.

Isk and Wyll are childhood friends who keep being torn apart by circumstances but inevitably find each other. Mariposa and Wyll are gender-swapped Beauty and the Beast; he is the radiant guiding light that inspires her to rise above her Dark Urge. Wilhelm is a classic sad dad, so his partners Wyll and Karlach help him find joy and whimsy in life again. Or, for example, Alyrr stirs Halsin's heart because she is kind to him, while Cinder falls for Halsin because he is kind to *her*; same goes for Niamh and Zevlor vs Dee and Zevlor.

Likewise, in other fandoms, Azelma Cadash and Blackwall initially despise each other because she thinks he's a boring straight-laced fuddy duddy, and he thinks she's a spoiled princess luxuriating in her father's crime spoils and wearing a Stop Being Poor T-shirt, but as their friendship progresses, each discovers that the other is a more nuanced person than their first impressions might suggest. While Naali Adaar teams up with him as Protector of the Small, and Adiba Adaar turns his head with her incredible Nerd Powers (Nana Lavellan is somewhere at the intersection of that, because she is both a nerd and a professional babysitter in her clan). Thraer Aeducan bonds with Morrigan like a golden retriever excitedly following her around; and Revas Mahariel sits across the room from her like they are a cat and she is also a cat, slowly getting accustomed to each other. Nella Amell gets to Zevran with her sweetness and faith in people, and Zevran gets to Brianna Cousland with his roguish charms, even as she appears to have hidden herself behind a wall of ice and grief.

Alisa Shepard is a neurotic perfectionist, Natalie Shepard is an enthusiastic, confident space adventurer; Garrus loves each of them. And in my newest obsession, Cyberpunk, my current rough and tough but secretly artistic street kid V is going to employ different tactics when convincing Takemura to ditch Arasaka through the power of love (shhh, let me have my headcanon) compared to a hyper-stressed, disillusioned corpo V and a happy-go-lucky nomad V I also have planned. And so on and so on and so on.

Can all these different love stories truly be expressed through x reader fics? Even if x reader is mostly focused on smut, I am not sure how much maneuvering you can do while leaving it generic. Again, going back to my own OCs, Arryn Lavellan, a hot-headed 20-something Dalish First, is a virgin who pretends to be sexually experienced to win Respect Points, and then learns the lesson that he did not have to do that; while Elgara Lavellan, a Circle mage and ex-Tranquil, is also a virgin due to her life circumstances, and her lesson is that there's no shame in having a "first time" after 40. Cinder the Tav is a half-Orc, half-Tiefling, used to being fetishized by intimate partners because of her appearance, so she gets her mind blown when Halsin worships her body as a great gift of nature. Laulu the Tav is a half-Orc, half-Halfling, a humble farm girl with dreams of someone who will love her for her, not her glamorous elf bard persona (courtesy of Disguise Self), so she gets *her* mind blown when Gale takes her, the real her, on a journey through the stars. But Amaya, a full Halfling this time, is a vengeful paladin who used to be married to an evil wizard that entrapped her in illusions of love and bliss in order to manipulate her to do his bidding, so she opts for the humble tryst in the woods, blowing *Gale's* mind this time as he realizes that he can be wanted for more than his magic. So for all of them, even smut will flow differently.

Some anons I got argued that inserting your OC into a love story focused on a canon character is too self-centered; you have to give other people a chance to imagine *their* OCs in this blank spot! And I guess it works for some people (a lot of people, in fact), but I would rather write stories and make art about specific OCs and read stories and admire art with *your* specific OCs and all the endless ways they can kiss that Blorbo.
