౨ৎ Work Adversaries ! — minji kim
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing — non idol!minji x reader song rec : my problem - jordi + passion fruit - nmixx ( 1.3k ) warnings ! none ᯤ ^ ㅇ ^ happy reading ! ⸝⸝・ᘏᘏ
synopsis : on a fateful Wednesday afternoon 2 people cut ties with you. but with cupid on your side you have 2 different paths to take to hopefully get back together with these 2 people by Valentine’s Day end! val event !
Tumblr media
“Y/n! Please come into my office!”
As you walked over to your boss's office, you quietly prayed for the best. Because you were easily swayable, he always overworked you.
“Yes boss..?”
“It looks like Sewon’s out sick. Can you do her work as well as yours?"
You hated when people said, ‘Can you’. It's not like you had an actual option to say no. You never did. No more the three days after you joined the company were you getting tossed around like a hot potato.
"Y/nie, can you turn on the computer for me?”
“Y/N, can you grab coffee for the whole floor?”
“Y/N, can you bend backwards to make sure this gets done before the due date?"
No, please, no presents, no thank yous. Your best friend Hanni always told you to say no, but it was so hard. One time someone ran away after attempting to ask for a favor!
"Yes, boss, I’m on it!”
You took the papers, bowed, and hung your head low. Not even five minutes later, you heard a commotion. You looked up from your cubicle to see your boss with a stone-faced girl.
“Everyone welcome Kim Minji! She will be working with us from now on"
You all clapped, and then you turned back to your computer.
“Y/n-shi..”. That was Niri; she always knew you always had piles of work but still asked for help. Meaning you did half her work every day.
"Hmm, Niri, what’s wrong?”
“Can you show Minji-shi around for me? I have to pick up my kid". In which she meant her snotty little puddle named Princess.
“Ok, just come back quickly" Niri nodded and then proceeded to clock out.
"Hi, Mrs. Kim" As you turned to face Minji, she just stared at you blankly.
“Ok, um, do you know where your cubicle is?”. Minji pointed to the one next to you.
"Ok, do you want me to help you with a few of your assignments?”
“No thanks. Can you just show me how everything works on that? I don’t have one at home"
As Minji pointed to the computer, you nodded as she sat down in her seat. Throughly surprised that she could actually talk. You walked over to the girl and hovered over her to instruct her on how the computer worked. Once you were done, she bowed, and you did too. Gosh, did you need some coffee?
You walked over, noticing Kaito and Somi near the water cooler. Shit. They always need-
"Babes, can you take out the trash for us? It would be a great favor." Kaito smirked at you as she tilted your chin up to him.
“Sure Kai..”. The boy dramatically bowed, and his friend laughed while they both left. You sighed and walked over to the coffee machine. What dicks. After you made your coffee, you straightened your tie for war.
As you approached your cubicle, you titled your head. Half your stack of Sewon’s work was done. Maybe you did it in the five minutes before Minji was introduced.
Just as you sat down, Minji peeked out of her cubicle.
“You can just call me Minji Y/nie"
You nodded, and the girl tried to crack a smile. very broken at that. In the next few days, more and more of your work was miraculously done before you even thought about touching it. This day, you decided to catch the person. Yu Xi rarely asked you for anything, so as soon as she entered the office, you offered to do half of her work. She begged you not to, but you fought hard for it. The girl gave you her work and a big hug with it.
This time, you left it at your desk and ran to the break room. You peeled them through the window, waiting. Five minutes later, you saw Minji peek over your desk. Maybe she was looking for you. Two seconds later, she took half your work. In the few days you knew Minji, you only said hi and bye to her. Why was she doing this for you?
“Lunch is on me, guys! The project was successful, so I’ll treat you all." Your eyes darted to Kaito, standing at his desk. Everyone clapped, and the boss laughed, taking Kaito off the desk and giving him a big hug. It's not like you did all of his work for the last week, right?
Hours later, you were drinking tiny sips of alcohol with a piece of cake in a bag next to you. Unlike the others, Yu Xi always got you a sweet when she asked for something. So now you were sandwiched at the end of the booth, between Yu Xi and Minji. Kaito was wasted and told some stories about his dead ghost aunt.
So you took this time to turn to Minji. The girl poured and turned to face you.
“Minji”
“Mm?”
“Why are you doing my work for me?”. The girl's eyes furrowed, and she rolled her eyes. Did you hurt her in a past life?
“Yeah, none of it is your work.”
“But-“
“It’s the work of your lazy coworkers". You knew it was true, so you just nodded.
“Thanks Minji.. I’ll try to say no". Then, for the first time ever, you saw Minji genuinely smile.
“It’s ok.. I enjoy your reaction when you see it’s already done"
You laughed, and just like that, you had made your second actual work friend. You slowly started to say no to some of your coworkers, and as a result, Minji treated you every other day. It even got to the point that Hanni even met her.
“Minji!”.Your face dropped. Minji wasn’t in her cubicle. You pouted and sent her a quick text: ‘U ok, Minji?’. You check two hours later and there is no response. Two days later, Minji showed up. Bags under her eyes, her hair tied up. You ran over to her, engulfing her in a hug.
"Minji, are you okay?" As you pulled away, all the taller girl did was blink twice and go to her cubicle. That’s how you ended up crying in the office bathroom stall. Until you heard a knock.
“Someone’s in here!”
“I know! Can you come out?" Weirdo
When you walked out, a tall girl dressed in all pink greeted you. Pink glasses, pink bag, pink suit, skirt, and heart eyes?
“Hear my card." You grabbed the card out of the girl's hand and laughed. It said ‘cupid 101’.
“Is this some kind of joke because Valentine’s Day is next week?”
“No.. I’m cupid.. the 101st actually." The girl pushed up her glasses. Just then, two girls walked into the bathroom. The taller girl cracked her knuckles and shot an invisible arrow at them. The girls turned to each other and started to make out. One pushing the other into a stall.
“See!”. Your eyes grew big.
“Why, why are you talking to me then?”
“You messed up! Minji’s your soulmate! Not platonically, and I’m here to help you fix your mess!”. Seeing as you were stunned, the pink girl spoke again.
“I’m Wonyoung, aka Cupid 101, and I’m going to make you go back in time with the knowledge you have now and fix the mistake you made with Minji.”
“I didn’t make a mistake!”
"Ya, but you made someone else.. butterfly effect, you know." The girl turned around in the mirrors and applied lipstick to her lips.
“What if I say no?”
“You’re alone for ever, duh." The girl said she was looking at you through the mirror.
“So what are you choosing? I got three other clients, girl." Wonyoung tapped on her pink watch.
“Yes?”. Wonyoung smiled.
“Good luck”. Suddenly, you heard a stall open, and you turned to see the two girls leaving the stall. Then Wonyoung was gone. Wonder when the traveling back will
“Y/n-shi! Please go to the cafe and get us lunch, please." Then you were suddenly five days back in time. The devil works hard, but Wonyoung works harder.

Hii, I saw you were taking requests, so how about this: A Vox x Reader who were old friends in life, now reunited in hell, but not in a way he would expect. Reader was fighting for the Hotel against exterminators and got hurt.
Sort of an angsty/hurt-comfort kinda thing, with Vox stepping out of his cruelty and demon persona. Please, take care and thank you 💕😋
Oh my i absolutely love this😍😍and here have a rose for being my first request🌹You didn't specify genders so i wrote Y/N as they/them, also i apologize if the pov changes from 3rd pov to anything else.
Glad that we're in hell | Vox x reader
Tumblr media
Vox loved how much control he had in Hell. He didn't miss anything from the time when he was alive, or so he thought. He didn't want to break his persona in anyway, but he couldn't help but miss Y/N after Valentino had another tantrum over Angel Dust. He covered it by stalking and complaining about a certain radio demon who came back in town. Vox was so focused that he didn't even notice his good old friend next to Alastor.
---------------------------------------------
All of the three V's sat on the couch watching how an army of angels flew closer to the Hazbin Hotel. Vox was enthralled that Alastor would lose, but all his focus on Alastor vanished when he noticed someone familiar being attacked by an exorcist. "No fucking way.." Vox mumbled under his breath which got the attention of Velvette for max. 2 seconds. His panic didn't last long when the exorcist head was shot full of holes by Angel. Soon enough Adam broke the barrier and started to fight with Alastor himself. Vox was celebrating as Alastor got his ass beat by Adam, now he was complaining about alastor leaving. "Agghh Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you!"
Alastor was down, Angel, Husk and Cherry were struggling, Charlie was choked by Adam and Vaggie was struggling with Lute. Y/N had no other choice but try and sneak up on Adam. Attacking the first man, but almost no damage was done expect a scar on his shoulder. Adam threw Y/N to a wall, which made Vox absolutely enraged. "Y/N!!" Oh shit, that confirms it, it's you. As lucifer arrived to the fight, Vox dissapeared from the couch through cameras to the battlefield, he ran to Y/N. "I..what are you doing here?" It seems like they didn't recognize him well for being a TV screen. "I'm here to save you, darling. I-it's me Vox you knew me when we were alive." Y/N eyes widened as she coughs his name before losing consiousness. "Aw shit, let's go back" Vox held Y/N close as he went back into his place. He did the best he could to bandage you up and give you every pain reliever he had after you woke up. "uhh..what happened. The hotel! Where am i? I need to help Charlie and the others!" Vox was at his own desk watching the cameras, until he heard you yelling about the hotel and your friends. He had no time to get up and run when he straight up teleported through electricity next to you. "Oh god, I was so worried about you! I didn't even know you were in hell. Why in the fuck are you even here?!" Vox didn't care if Val or Velvet would walk through those huge doors as he held you close and rambled about you and your well being to you. "Vox, is it Really you? I thought i had lost you completely." Those words cut his heart in half and made him glitch. You held him tight as you could without being in pain.
You couldn't help but let tears fall down your face, you missed him so much. "I thought i didn't miss you at all, but I was so wrong. How could I've been so selfish not to realize I loved you all this time" Was it true what he just said or were you still in shock from the battle. "Vox. Did you just confess?" Vox only glitched and even shed a few tears which made him ashamed. "Oh darling don't cry, I love you aswell" You caressed his screen styled face softly as you leaned your forehead onto the top of his screen. "Y-You do?" His eyes flickered and moved up and down, looking into your eyes then glancing at your lips. "Of course I do. I loved you since we were alive. You make me glad to be in hell" It took you long enough to kiss, but you did it anyway. Angels say Hell is only suffering and pain, but they didn't know that it's not only that. "You make hell seem like Heaven to me, Y/N"
--------------------------------------
AN: I hope you liked it. I wrote this quick as possible to not keep you waiting. It might short aswell, I'm not good at going to detail :,)

OH MY GOSH! My req is a part 2 of https://www.tumblr.com/storm-angel989/761370788298424320/could-you-do-a-valentinos-daughter-where-shes?source=share ! I LOVE ALL OF YOUR WORK BTW!
Hi friend,
I actually got this request twice! Consider this in response to this anon request as well:
“can we see a part two of Valentino’s daughter being addicted to drugs? Maybe he confronts her, has Angel dust tell her his about his own addiction to them from his time as human?”
Like I said the first time around, I lost my best friend to addiction and this subject can be a little tough. That being said I do hope y’all find comfort in this story- it was sort of cathartic to write.
<3 Mandy
Valentino had watched thousands of sinners and hellborn suffer through withdrawal. The shakes. The sweating. The sickness. The agonizing pain as every molecule of their body screamed for the very thing that threatened to kill it. He knew it well. Hell, addiction is what sent him down here, what sealed his role as eternal provider of highs and releases. The difference now was power- power that he gained as desperate souls offered anything worth having just for the promise of relief. Despite his sordid past, he took pride in providing his family with a lavish lifestyle while watching others wither away to nothing.
As Valentino knelt next to his daughter, his hands carefully weaving her damp hair into a braid, the pang of guilt flooded through him for the first time. The thought that his career had led his daughter to suffer such pain was unbearable. For the first time in his afterlife, Valentino felt his control slipping. Despite his initial demand and Vox and Velvette’s agreement that she go to a treatment center, he instead decided to keep her home and allow her to detox under his watchful eye. It wasn’t like they were not equipped. His studio boosted a better medical office than most hospitals, and a doctor on staff twenty four seven. At least under his eye, he could be sure she was controlled. That she was safe.
“Daddy, make it stop,” she begged. “Please.”
“I’m sorry baby, it has to work its way out of your system,” he replied softly.
She groaned and laid down on the towel that covered the bathroom tile. He sat down next to her and gently stroked her hair. He hated seeing her like this, seeing her suffer through pain that previously didn’t phase him. With each passing second, he had to bite back flashes of his own former life. Of his own death, wrapped in the endless cycle of poverty and addiction.
During her intake meeting, the doctor had suggested sharing with her his own battles. The story of his death. He refused on principle, despite Vox and Velvette’s encouragement. He needed to protect his daughter from that knowledge, from that former reality.  As he helped his daughter back to her bed, he wondered if there were others in his grasp willing to share their story. As he considered those who knew of her existence, his thoughts fell to one being.
Angel Dust.
“You sure you want me to share? It’s kinda gritty, Val,” Angel said as he lounged on the couch in Valentino’s office.
“None of us gets a second chance down here,” Valentino replied coolly. “And I’m hopeful your story will scare her straight.”
“Val, I’m willin to try. But she’s gonna need more than a story to get her straightened out,” Angel replied. “I mean like, doctors and stuff.”
“She’s already down the hall, enrolled in every therapy the doctor suggested. Right now she’s going through detox,” Valentino responded sharply. “Angel, she’ll have every tool money can buy. But she needs to know what would happen…” he hesitated. “What would happen if those resources weren’t available. If they were taken away.”
“I mean, alright Val, if you think it's best. It’s your kid,” Angel answered with a shrug. “You wanna do this now?”
“Yeah. Follow me.”
Standing next to her bed, listening to Angel recount his past wasn’t a place Valentino ever expected to be. The grittiness of the conversation should have turned his stomach, but instead he focused on her. On her reactions.
“Roaches. Imagine, Reader, wakin up in some town you don’t know covered in a thousand little legs…”
“Okay! That’s enough, Angel, please. I get it,” she pleaded. “Daddy!”
Every inch of him wanted to pull Angel from where he sat and escort him from the room. To wrap his daughter in his arms and assure her that he would do everything in his power to make sure she never had that experience. But the bigger part of him knew she needed to be afraid. Knew she needed to think that Angel’s reality could be hers if she didn’t fight this battle.
“Angel, continue,” Valentino said after a momentary pause. “She needs to hear this. Whether she likes it or not.”

Unwanted attention chapter 2
V’s x fallen angel exotic dancer reader
Tw drugs, alcohol, sex workers, drugging, mentions of past overdose, vomiting, (description of vomiting and the vomit itself), and Vox being a jelly donut
This chapter is pretty short but the next one should be longer
Thank you to my friend @darkwolf989 for helping edit! And if you would like to read some of my other content you can follow my second blog @absolut3th0t
Mdni this story will get explicate and there’s already mentions of drugs and alcohol and this show isn’t for children either way. I’m open to feedback and ideas!
I tried desperately to open my eyes again, blinking away the haze. What was his name? Pal? No, Val. At least, I thought his name was Val. Heavy hands brushed hair away from my face and I could feel the pressure of his grasp as he pulled hy face to his, jamming his lips to mine. He released me after a moment and I blinked as my vision slowly began to clear up.
His glasses were gone now, folded neatly on the seat next to us. He held me bridal style against him, his arms supporting me just enough to keep my face level with his. The other two demons I recognized from the club sat on either side of us. The girl still buried in her phone, and Vox sat with his arms crossed, his eyes boring into me. My eyes met his and his glare darkened.
Valentino followed my gaze and smirked when he realized I was looking at Vox.
“Do you want a turn? I doubt she’ll mind. She seems like a well behaved whore.” Valentino’s voice offered me seemingly without a second thought.
Vox’s screen glitched. “Excuse me?”
Valentino’s claws ran through my hair. “Come on Voxxy, you know you want it.” He paused and his grin grew darker. “We could have a threesome. Or even a foursome if Vel wants to join.”
At the mention of her name, the girl looked up. I watched as she rolled her eyes and immediately returned her attention back to her phone. Internally, I repeated the name. Vel. Her name was Vel. Vox, Val, Vel. Vox, Val Vel. Suddenly it dawned on me. These three were the infamous V’s. I was sitting in the limo with the V’s and they wanted to…have sex with me?
I tried to lift my head but failed. His hand pressed into my chin, and lifted my face to his as he kissed me again. I felt his thumb stroke my cheek before he released me. My head fell back to his shoulder and I let out a gasp. Pain shot through my skull and the feeling of nausea washed over me. Fuck, I was sobering up.
My head pulsed with each throb and I let out a small whine. Everything around me suddenly seemed too loud. The typing sounds from the girl's phone sounded like a spike in the ear, the smell of the cigars suddenly becoming too overwhelming to inhale. I could feel my eyes start to burn as the lights in the limo felt like a hospital- burning and bright. Flashbacks from when I overdosed. It was hot. I was simultaneously melting and freezing.
Was I coming down?
My skin buzzed as sweat dripped down my forehead. I gasped for breath, sharpYou'd better not throw up on me stupid bitch inhales and exhales as I try to tighten my grip on him.
Val looked at me and squinted “Bebé Muñeca?”
My eyelids felt too heavy to keep open so I let them fall closed. I felt him lift me upright in his lap, my feet resting against the seat. My head fell to his shoulder again. My belly churned as I tried to pull my head up, the burn of stomach acid creeped up my throat. I took a deep breath as I tried desperately not to vomit on his shirt. I choked back a gag as the taste of vomit touched my tongue. It took every inch of my self control to swallow back the disgusting taste.
His upper lip curled in disgust. “Será mejor que no me vomites, perra estúpida,” he snarled. His hand slid up the back of my neck and his fingers entwined in my hair. I whimpered as he yanked my head back. “Esta camisa cuesta más de lo que tú y yo planeamos darte un precio bonito”
The vomit starts to make its way back up again this time. Valentino grabs me the ice bucket to throw up in. He places it in front of my face. The vomit shoots in my throat into the bucket and the taste makes me vomit. I empty my stomach into the bucket everything I ate through the night pouring out of my body making me feel like an empty rag doll. I go limp in Val’s arms, he brushes the bangs out of my eyes. A whine spills from my mouth,I tuck my nose into his neck omg he smells so good. His hand traces the back of my neck

(A Good Brother)
(Tw for transphobia, teen pregnancy, and addiction)
Vex Kane sat across from her mother for a long time, calm as could be as the woman looked around. Melissa seemed to be shocked by both of her children’s success, Vax the king of the Afterlife and married to Kerry Eurodyne, and Vex an ex corpo and mother.
“Why are you even here? I’m not giving you money. I actually specifically remember telling you I didn’t want you in my house.” Vex could feel the presence of her lover, Goro Takemura, standing behind her. Luckily they were both level headed enough to keep the area calm and sent Victoria to her room before Melissa could see her.
“I told you, Val won’t talk to me. She froze me-“
“I believe you’re talking about my brother, correct? The one you immediately tried to take advantage of when he first saw you? I can’t imagine why he would want to talk to you seeing as you’re still disrespecting him but uttering that name.” Vex snapped, crossing her legs.
Melissa sighed, shaking her head. “I just thought she’d- he’d have some money to spar.”
“For the woman that abandoned us on the streets? Where were you when I was 15 and pregnant? Or when Vax nearly lost his eye in a street fight? Hm? When a woman he had just met brought him in to get him clean, from an addiction he probably got from you.” Vex hadn’t known her mother for very long, only enough to know she couldn’t stand her.
The older woman sat back, rubbing her face. Silence fell over the room as the women stared at each other.
“I was nine.” Vex stated softly, making her mother look up.
“What?”
“I was nine, had lost my favorite doll. Vax had a cough so bad people thought he had been smoking something. No one wanted to take pity on the kids that was sick and crying, so you know what he did? He found me somewhere safe and he looked for that damn doll. Retraced our steps from that whole day, looked on buses and trash cans, asked random people if they had seen my doll. He was gone for hours, I had gotten worried someone had taken him… he came back at around 2 am, doll in hand and some sandwiches he stole along the way. So where were you in that scenario? Hm? No where.”
Melissa had tears running down her cheeks, watching her daughter. “I’m sor-“
“I don’t want your pity. I want you to know we came out just fine without you. Vik saved us, made sure I could have my baby safely, taught Vax how to defend himself. Mrs. Welles helped Vax get clean, let him sleep on her couch. You were no where when we needed you. You don’t get to come to us when you need us.”
Vex stood, smoothing out her dress as she walked over and crouched down.
“Vax is a good person who had to do bad things to survive… if you think for a second he would have given you a single enny, you are severely mistaken. Get the fuck out of my house, and never come near my family again. Got me?” You could take the girl out of the streets but not the streets out of the girl.
Melissa stood with Vex, the ex corpo towered over her in heels and natural height.
“And don’t you dare come near my daughter.”
Vex had to learn the hard way that she was not her mother and never would be. She went to check on Victoria while Goro lead her mother out, having to hold back tears as she sat and played dolls with her daughter in the mean time.
She was a good mother, and Vax was an amazing father to Kerry’s kids. They’d never be Melissa Kane.

Shifting Vertebrae
Chapter 2: An Old Bartender's Thoughts
Nobody got far as a bartender without being a bit observant. Not to mention that Husk was a gambler, and thus an expert at detecting the minutiae of facial expressions. The cherry on top was the amazing memory when it came to people. He found that this combination was a curse just as often as it was a blessing. Over time, Husk’s brain had become a filing cabinet of information, with enough to blackmail any resident if he so wished.
That’s why Velvette infuriated him. She was authentic and honest in exactly a way that revealed nothing she didn’t want you to know. That kind of fake authenticity was rare, in his experience. It was always often a sign to be cautious (although Husk had already known that part about Velvette).
Oh, she wasn’t faking the confidence, Husk was sure of that. Nor her bluntness, or her efficiency. The lie was the seamlessness, the lack of mess. Emotions were a tool for Velvette, never revealing what she wished would stay hidden. While Husk was biased from exposure and his soul being owned by Alastor, it didn’t change the fact that Velvette’s mask was better than that of the radio demon. After all, Alastor always smiled to show his control. It came from his unaffectedness, the way he didn’t care.
Velvette expressed the full range of emotions, and there was always an underlying truth. Despite this, it was completely clear that Velvette was in control.
Husk also noticed that she rarely drank  in public. Which was another aspect of her unknowability- people don’t tell the bartender their secrets when they’re sober. She’d been offered a few drinks, and she sometimes took one, but after that she’d sneer about the quality, regardless of what Husk poured.
In short, Husk knew just about everything about every resident besides the one he had the most reason to be wary of. And while he usually didn’t give a shit about whatever drama the residents were in, this was so little information to the point where he couldn’t help but be unsettled. He didn’t even know what her favorite drink was, which was the bare fucking minimum of information that a bartender should have gained by now.
And even then, it wouldn’t be this annoying if fucking Alastor didn’t keep asking about information. Apparently, a grumpy bartender was the perfect fit to spy on the demon avoiding the bar. Alastor had even tried to get Husk to give Velvette fucking truth serum. Husk was sure that he was only still alive because he had managed to convince Alastor that Velvette would recognize the truth serum produced by her own fucking company.
So here he was, polishing glasses and ruminating over his hatred for Alastor as he attempted to make conversation.
“Nice outfit,” he commented. That was a start, right?
“Thanks!” Velvette said, with that made-for-sinstagram influencer smile. “One of the only good things that one designed.”
Husk nodded. “How was work?”
“Just the same old.”
“Val being annoying?” These were normal questions to ask, right? Either way, he was sure he was coming across as awkward.
Fucking finally. A look of… almost shock? He’d call it panic if he didn’t know better. And then she relaxed within seconds. Back to the mask.
“Why would you think that?”
“Your phone hasn’t stopped going off. He does the same thing to Angel.”
Velvette chuckled. “Someone’s always texting me. I have a life beyond this hotel, remember?” Husk suppressed a sarcastic comment. “This is just managers negotiating brand deals for some of our influencers, and data analysis from Vox’s sect.”
“Interesting.”
Velvette sat her phone down on the bar counter and began to disinterestedly pick at her nails. “So, who put you up to this?”
“I’m sorry?”
“You haven’t given a shit about my day at any other point in time, or even wanted to talk to me. You usually don’t even look at me, actually. Not to mention, this isn’t the first time my phone won’t stop going off- that’s how it is most of the time. Lastly, you’re not exactly a chatty guy in the first place.” She met his eyes. “So? Was it Albert? Whatever his name is.”
“Alastor?” Husk’s eyes darted around the room- Alastor wouldn’t appreciate that comment.
“Yeah, Alastor.” She wrinkled her nose. “If you have to give him info, get him to ditch the bob and pick a different suit. If Vox needs to have this little obsession over someone it could at least be someone that matches the tower’s decor.”
Husk would not, in fact, be telling Alastor any of that.
Velvette picked her phone back up and went back to scrolling through her messages. She scrolled with impressive speed, occasionally pausing to type something.
“So,” Husk began again, “what did Valentino do that got a reaction like that out of you?”
Velvette’s eyes lingered on a message as Husk spoke. Husk had played more than enough poker to recognize that the eyes are the hardest thing to control, and he’d found that this principle applied to most hard-to-read people. Her typing speed had slowed down a bit, but more relevantly, there was worry in her eyes.
What the fuck could have a powerful overlord worried? She worked with Val- if anyone besides Vox could prevent him from doing something, it was her. If this brought trouble to the hotel like Mimzy did, Husk would be pissed.
“Same as always,” Velvette had responded after finishing her message. “He had one of his classic temper tantrums.” She groaned in exactly the right spot. Fake authenticity, just like Husk had noticed earlier. Had Valentino had a ‘temper tantrum?’ Maybe. Probably, even. But the sentiment itself seemed almost rehearsed. She was telling Husk a surface-level problem to hide the deeper one.
Still. Whatever the fuck this was, it was above Husk’s pay grade. He’d tried. Alastor could get his own damn information. Or have Niffty deal with it. Either way, it would be someone other than Husk.
Whatever the strife between the Vees was, it would make its way to Husk eventually. Everybody likes to bitch to the bartender, after all. Husk could wait.
Chapter 2 is up! In this one, Husk is a bartender and needs to get some information out of Velvette.

Trequel to Half Of and The only ghost in Amity Park
“We need to talk, Fenton,” Valerie hissed, slamming Danny’s locker shut in his face. He pursed his lips and lowered his gaze but said nothing. Manson scoffed and stepped right up, putting her finger in Valerie’s face.
“He doesn’t owe you anything, Val so lay off. If he wants to talk to you, he will, not because you demanded it.” Val grabbed Sam’s wrist, strong but still such delicate bones. The goth flinched a bit as Valerie applied pressure.
“Only my friends,” Valerie hissed with a hard look over at Danny, “get to call me Val. But I guess we’re not friends if you kept something like this from me.”
“Val...erie, let her go,” Danny mumbled quietly. “We’ll talk after school, meet me by the equipment shed behind the football field.”
“Alone,” Val said, flicking away Sam’s wrist. “None of your adoring, enabling entourage, new or old.”
“No way in hell,” Sam said, clearly resisting the urge to hold onto her injured wrist. “Like we’d trust Danny with someone like you.”
“What? Human?” Valerie asked back. Danny stuck his hands between them and forced them apart. Now that Val was looking, the entire hall was watching them. Whatever, they didn’t matter.
“Cut it out,” Danny frowned, looking over both of them. “Sam, I’ll be fine talking to her alone.” He turned back to her with his blue eyes. As long as she’d known him, Danny’s had a presence about him. She took it as growing up in such a strange house and later her growing crush. But there was no way to explain away the icy, electric feel of his gaze holding her own. “3:30, equipment shed, just talking. Okay?”
“Fine,” Valerie said, turning and stomping down the hall so she had the last word. The rest of the day passed slowly as she gripped the sides of her desk and bounced her leg, thinking about Danny Fenton. How long had Danny been a ghost or half of one, how was that even possible? Had he always been that way and she simply hadn’t noticed? Her? The best ghost hunter in Amity? How much of Danny was real and what was just a cruel ghostly joke? That’s the question that burned the most. Danny seemed to be the only one who liked this new, more grounded Valerie. What would she do if her closest friend was just messing with her?
Finally, school ended and she stalked purposefully towards the equipment shed. Interesting choice of location, it was almost never used since most every day sports gear was stored in the locker rooms. Did he chose it because it was isolated? Danny didn’t seemed worried about confronting her alone, what abilities could he have that he wasn’t scared of her? That made her pause once the shed came into sight. She’d only heard about Danny’s powers, never having ever seen them firsthand. Valerie took an ectogun from her bag and slipped it in back waistband of her skirt. Just in case.
Danny was sitting on the roof of the shed, weirdly enough. It would be next to impossible to climb so he had to have flown. She’d already heard of him floating but the idea of Danny Fenton and superpowers still didn’t add up in her head. He was rubbing at a tear in his jeans when she approached. Danny gave a little awkward half smile that, a few days ago, would have sent her stomach into somersaults. Now seeing it just made her sick.
“Are you gonna hide up there all day?” She asked curtly, hands on her hips.
“You could always join me up here,” Danny shrugged, getting more comfortable on the roof. Val raised a disbelieving eyebrow, eyeing the lack of handles and the broken splinters on the old shed. “We’re far enough away, no one will see you use your hoverboard.” Just when Valerie thought he was done being surprised. She gaped open mouthed at Danny who got nervous and rubbed his hands anxiously. “You uh you wanted to talk so I thought we ought to lay all our cards on the table.” He took a deep breath, “I know you’re the Red Huntress Val...erie.”
“How!” She demanded, activating her board without thought to get to the roof. She grabbed Danny by the shirt and hauled him forward until their faces were inches apart. His body radiated a soft chill that brushed against her skin. He held up his hands in surrender.
“Since the start, Sam and I, we saw you in the park, remember? You caught us uhhhh,” Danny trailed off, looking away with a blush. It took Val a minute but she remembered one of her first outings with the suit, she was chasing Phantom and his stupid dog only to find Danny and Sam kissing in the bushes. She hadn’t cared about the love lives of losers at the time. It had only become relevant when she started catching feeling for Danny but he’d assured her multiple times that he and Manson weren’t a couple. “It wasn’t real, the kiss I mean. It was Sam’s idea, you surprised us and we didn’t have time to hide so you didn’t...” he trailed off.
"Didn’t, what?” She demanded. Valerie gasped when Danny simply phased out of her grip and assuming his previous position on the roof. She stared for a moment at her hands before looking up again at Danny who was back to fiddling with his clothes. There it was, irrefutable proof that Danny wasn’t human. It felt like her heart was being chipped away with a hammer.
“Look, this has been kind of a hard week for me,” Danny groaned, raking his hands forcefully through his hair. “I get my powers outed, I need to convince my parents not to kill me the rest of the way, keep the ghosts off my back for a period, get the government to acknowledge my existence all the while dealing with everyone’s stares and questions at school.” He tucked his knees closer and flopped his face into them. “I said I would be honest with you and I’m trying but I’ve already had to give so much of myself this week and... I don’t know, what do you even want from me?”
“I want answers!” Valerie tried to demand but it came across as more whiney. She pushed back any tears that were threatening to come. “I want to know what was real! Was our friendship real? Our feelings? Are you even real? And if you knew I Huntress all this time then why... why would you even talk to me? Were you just playing with me? Spying on me? What did you want with me?”
“I’m real, Val, I promise,” He held out his hand and she reluctantly took it. His hand was chilly but there always where, it was also solid with knobbing bones and ropy muscles. Beneath it all, there was a sluggish but persistent pulse. She squeezed his hand, it was a human hand and yet it had also passed right through her. How could he be real and not real at once?
“As for what I wanted, just a friend really,” Danny said, keeping his head on his folded knees but turning towards her. She read nothing but sincerity in his eerily blue eyes. “Sam, Tuck and I, we have serious history. We know each other inside and out. But you, you were someone new. I loved hearing about your interests, your dreams, finding out who you were as a person beyond that jerk who made fun of me the second week of Freshman year for wearing my dad’s jumpsuit to school. I liked being able to be a normal person with you, I think I had started to forget with the whole ghost thing going on.”
“What happened?” Valerie couldn’t help but ask.
“Lab accident,” Danny said quietly, “Sam and Tuck were there, wasn’t pretty. Thought I was goner for sure. I survived somehow but I got some freaky powers out of the deal. There’s downsides but some sweet benefits,” he tilted his head back and looked longingly up at the sky. “Flying is the best.”
“Yeah,” Val couldn’t help but sigh in agreement. She could almost the feel the sensation of the wind whipping against her suit. Hear the roar as she soared through the clouds. It was hard to imagine Danny flying but his eyes shined with understanding she usually only saw in the mirror. “So why did you hang out with me knowing I hunted ghosts?”
“It just sorta happened, You obviously sensed that Sam and Tucker weren’t too happy about the risk.” No kidding, Val had gotten warmer welcomes from freezers. “But you were cool, Val. Plus you,” he paused and seemed to consider his words. “I felt like once we got over the hump you would get it in a way the other don’t. You know what it like to balance two lives, to have insane power at your fingertips, to feel like if you take even a second break that the ghosts will overwhelm the town. It’s just... a lot to deal with alone, Sam, Tucker and Jazz, they try to understand but they just don’t.”
He looked over at her, “I guess it was nice to know that there was someone like me out there,” he blushed, “and that someone uh liked me. For being me, y’know?”
“Clearly I didn’t know everything,” she grumbled watching as Danny winced. Val frowned, she probably wasn’t being entirely fair, she hadn’t exactly been honest with Danny either.
“So you fight ghosts, huh?” Valerie couldn’t help was ask with a little smile. Trying to picture it. The Danny she thought she knew wouldn’t but this Danny... “Is that why you’re always running out of class?”
“Isn’t that why you leave?” He teased back hesitantly. “I’m honestly a little surprised no one figured me out before. I was really bad at hiding at first. Of course it’s only when I get the whole ‘secret identity’ thing down that I get exposed.” He huffed, the ends of his hair lifting out of his eyes.
“Secret identity, so you can turn into a ghost?” Danny was silent. “Have I seen you out there?” More silence. “Have I... have I shot at you?” Everything seemed quiet save for their asynchronous breathing. “I didn’t hurt you, did I?”
“It stung but not enough to keep me down for long,” Danny said, flexing his arms but his smile was strained. There was something about it that was haunting, familiar. She turned to look at the woods because if she stared any longer she’d realize which ghost Danny turned into and neither of them was ready for that right now.
“So now what?” She asked.
“I don’t know,” Danny sighed. “I’m kind of taking it one day at a time. Mom and Dad are nervous, jumpy, I’m not sure if they’re more scared of me or of themselves and what they did. My sister and friends are being annoyingly overprotective. People who hated me last week are suddenly in my face asking questions and demanding demonstrations. The government wants to kill me but,” he snorted a little, and tilted his head towards her floppily. “I'm also talking to you about this part of my life for the first time. Lying was a necessity I never grew comfortable with, I think I could do with a bit of honesty.”
“Yeah me too,” Valerie said, straightening up and looking Danny in the eye. “I’m still not sure how I feel about this. I don’t like ghosts and I likely never will. I’m going to continuing being Huntress and keeping the town safe. But I’m willing to give you chance, give you time to open up completely. It’ll give us both times to come to terms with everything, and maybe then we can figure out where we stand.”
“I’ll take it!” Danny beamed, “I was worried you were coming here to off me with that ectogun you have stashed in your skirt so this is much better!”
“How did you-” She gasped.
He winked and tapped his forehead, “I’m pretty sensitive to ectoplasm, especially out here in the real world. Gotta admit sometimes when my energy was low, I sought you out. Did you know your suit radiates a low level ectoplasmic field, even when you’re not wearing it?” He twisted his face in thought. “Now that we’re talking-talking, I should warn you what side effects excess exposure to ectoenergy can cause.” He twisted his hand and a small green ectoblast formed in his palm briefly before dissipating. “If that worries you, my parents can hook you up with some sweet ghost hunting equipment that won’t contaminate you.”
“So I could have powers like you one day?” She asked carefully, looking over her hands thoughtfully.
“Maybe, I don’t know. Mine was a kind of one in a million accident, well, two,” he made a face. “That’s whole other story, don’t ask. But we could maybe find out together, Val,” he winced. “Valerie.”
“Val is fine,” she said quietly, still thinking too many things. “We have a lot of things to figure out but in the meantime, you can keep calling me Val.”
“I’d like that,” he smiled. “So uh, do you want to come to movie night tomorrow? It’s at my house this week. I uh always wanted to invite you before but Sam, Tuck and I usually end up talking ghost stuff during the movie so we couldn’t before but if you’re interested... could be fun to have you there. We’re watching The Shining.”
“That movie is like a billion years old,” Val laughed with an eyeroll.
“It’s a classic, I was named after the kid in that movie!” Danny defended. “I’ll text you the details but its up to you. Either way, we’ll uh, we’ll keep talking. See you around, Val.” And just like that, he vanished. She swiveled her head around but Danny Fenton was truly gone.
“Jerk,” she grumbled but there was no heat to it. She heard a giggle above her and knew Danny, in his secret ghost form, was probably flying. And it was too nice a day to walk home. She activated her suit and took to the skies herself. Valerie didn’t know if Danny was with her or not, she just turned off her brain and fell into the motion of aggressive loops and high speed dives around her town.
 Everything had turned upside down with the knowledge that Danny wasn’t who she thought he was. But again, things had been crazy since the ghosts first came to town. So she and Danny were at a stand still, not friends and not enemies, not open but not secretive either. It was a weird state to be in but Danny was probably used to being in a state of half life himself. But she’d worry about all that later, for now it just her and sky.

Which’s monsters from monster hunter are your favourite?
heavy breathing. im normal about monster hunter i swear
okay so like, my first game was mh4u thanks to my friend so i have a very special attachment to the majority of monsters there since it was my first time experiencing these things!!! but!!!!
MY ULTRA FAVE has to be Astalos and if it werent that he is like one of the least popular monsters merch wise i would have my entire room with him ;_; I crave a statue of him,,, but my friend was kind enough and found an old plushie that i now have sat on my bed so its something!! :D
Tumblr media
The second MUST be Nergigante. He is a special little blorbo in my heart <3 And I have his giant statue perched beside my desk with his spiky ass staring me down menecingly. I had it above my bed once but i had to move it cuz it was creeping me out with its eyes LOL
Tumblr media
Now the rest hold equal love status in my heart.
Yian Garuga is an ANGEL and everyone being rude to my screaming chicken is wrong and a pussy. He was my special blorbo to fight against in world when i needed cheering up or bored teehee. And also my main companion for 80% of monster hunter stories 2 until i got astalos and nergigante lol
Tumblr media
Gore Magala is still VERY terrifying to me. It was my first elder in mh4u so it has special feelings attached to it. Im getting a statue of him and a plushie later this year <3
Tumblr media
Valstrax! He was the first big elder i fought on my own in monster hunter ultimate and it was a TRIP. I always considered his armor weird and never used it including weapons until he was added to monster hunter rise and i fell in love all over again. I would love to have his fight completely conquered one day. And i wore his armour for majority of high rank as my 'walmart astalos' LOL
Tumblr media
Bazelgeuse of course!! Seething in particular. The colours of purple pinecones growing in side and the intensity of the fight is just what gets me each time. The theme fucks and i want to bench press her into the floor <3
Tumblr media
Seregios!!! The original pinecone!! He and bazel are in love and you cannot tell me otherwise. An absolute MACHINE of a monster. Love his attacks and the way his scales flare so so much. Its one of the few i would become a conservation researcher for to protect their natural environment ;_;
Tumblr media
And of course, Namielle. A BEAST. I feel like she just hyptnotised me to love her so so much. I usually despise the water element. But theres just something about her grace and elegance, and the flashing colours of rainbow and when she lights up if you fight at night. Theres just something surreal about this terror typhoon
Tumblr media
NOW OF COURSE I HAVE MORE FAVOURITES LMAO
I really really love Najarala. Its one of the few monster that deserves a remake for just being so unique. A snake?? Hell yes.
Nerscyllia is another one. The OG spider lady. I would have thought theyd bring her back, but alas. I really like almudron and magnamalo as well from the new game, but i dont know the new monsters in rise havent really captured my heart entirely? Like maybe if i fight the final boss a few more times itll click something because hes cool as shit but who knows.
Velkhana, Val Hazaak, Glavenus, Ahtal-Ka, Seltas Queen and Chameleos are another few. I cant pick just a few im so sorry

Hi. It’s me 🎸😈 anon from @stranger-nightmare and I wanted to show you Val, the Oc I sent to hope. Uhh yeah also I have to be on anon because this blog isn’t my ‘main’ one that I created when I signed up for tumblr back in the olden days so I can’t use this one for asks and stuff. But anyway this is long so it’s under a read more
Meet Val. Also known as 009.
I have a few picrews of her but this these are probably my fave.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She’s 17-18. And was one of the oldest of the numbers in the lab when and El escaped.
She has the basic abilities we see that everyone has, but she like Kali or Henry has a special gift. She’s sonokinetic.
She can manipulate sound waves.
Tumblr media
She’s not very skilled at this one yet because once Kali escaped all training in this stopped and she’s still learning what she can and can’t do with it.
She has made peoples ears bleed before and one time she screamed in testing it started to crack the glass where Brenner was observing her.
She was els and the little ones protector in the lab. Often getting punished for fighting the other older kids when they would ya know be dicks to el or the other little ones.
When her and El escaped she always had her hand in els, or needed El to be in her sight.
When they found bennys Val was always on alert because ya can’t trust anyone obviously.
So cue running into the kids.
Yes Val did hide in the wheeler basement with El, it was as awkward as you think.
Val is mostly mute. She only really talks when she’s very comfortable with you, like she can talk to el no issue but the other kids nope.
So season 2 she was living with Joyce for my own reasons because she was in school because she wanted to learn beyond what the lab was teaching her.
She fully thought billy wanted to date Steve. She did not understand the like tones or vibes between them.
Also billy tried to hit on her, it went over her head.
Season 3 she’s more free and open a bit, but still doesn’t like talking much. Goes with el and max to the mall. Has a blast.
When hopper ‘dies’ and Sam owens wants to move them to cali. She stays in Hawkins.
In hoppers cabin. So she can finish school and Val just can’t leave. It’s very hard for her to move on from things she gets used to.
Her and el fight the one and only time. They use their abilities. Val shatters a few windows by screaming, el throws Val backwards.
But in the end Val stays in Hawkins with Steve and the kids promising to keep an eye on her.
She fully approved of el smashing a skate into Angela’s face.
“She was mean to you. You stood up to her. She will not be mean again”
So now we get to Eddie. Sweet man.
Uh Eddie falls head over fucking heels for Val the second Mike and Dustin drag her over to the lunch table where the hellfire club sits.
Mike has to explain, Val doesn’t really talk much, cue eddie trying to make her laugh for the next month and a half.
Well the first time she says his name he almost falls out of his chair because
“SHE SPEAKS! The beautiful Valerie speaks!” And god he falls in love with that sound her voice.
Now hellfire club. She knows nothing of DND, she knows the lil snips she heard hear and there with the kids but like she knows nothing of what playing is.
Until Mike and Dustin need a sub. Now she fully says she’ll do it until one of the others asks if she’s ever actually played and she just
“No. But I am a very quick learner.”
They show her 80s dnd and she just
“I think I would only cause you all to die by Eddie’s hand if I played.” Cue them getting Erica and yeah.
Now Eddie is the first person to make her fully belly ache, uncontrollably laugh. Like she loves the feeling and he is addicted to her laugh.
And when Eddie finds out she has powers? Oh babes
So Eddie sat in the boat house right, they are saying all this shit about the upside down and junk right. Well Val just kneels in front of Eddie, her hand on his and just
“Friends don’t lie, ever, so what they say and what I am going to show you, is the truth. Because I would never lie to you Eddie”
And she makes him float a bit before like dead silence and her voice is just at Eddie’s ear because again sonokinsis she can puppet her voice sort of.
Well Eddie is now just 10000 times more into her and can uses his bandana to wipe the blood from her nose because ya know expending mental energy makes the nose bleed and it’s a soft moment
“So you could do that this whole time?” And Val just nods
“Yes. I was told by people, who protect me and my sister the other superhero, that I have to keep my abilities hidden. So no one tries to use them for bad things”
And my god Eddie just
‘I will die for this women. Kill for her.’
And yes that’s the basics so far. I hope you enjoyed love
Your fav 🎸😈 anon from @stranger-nightmare

Love and Medicine ~ 14
MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
< previous chapter
Word Count: 5,000ish
Summary: Just another day at the medical center, right? (Based off Grey’s Anatomy)
Heading back into the hospital, you went straight for Natasha’s room. The other interns were already in there, surrounding her bed.
“Hey,” you smiled, walking over to her. “How are you feeling?”
“I’m okay,” she responded. “I’m okay.”
You grabbed her hand and gave it a slight squeeze. She needed to know that you were there for her, but you weren’t going to push her into talking about something she wasn’t ready to talk about.
~~~
You slammed down a shot, needing to feel the alcohol rush down your throat.
“How was Nat when you left, Scott?” Val asked, bringing more drinks over.
“She said she was okay, again,” he responded with a slight shrug.
“Nobody goes what she went through and is totally over it by now.”
“Natasha can.”
“She’s fine,” you added, taking another shot.
“Too fine,” Val said. “She’s cold.”
“No, she’s hardcore,” Clint said. “She’s got ice in her veins. She does what she has to do to get through it.”
“She lost a baby. She lost a fallopian tube and she’s acting like she doesn’t even care. She’s acting like she has no emotions or warmth, like she’s missing a soul.”
“She’s gonna make a great surgeon.”
“Clint!”
“It’s true. You show no weakness, you make it to the top.”
“Some people just keep their feelings to themselves,” you commented.
Your eyes were on the door, where Steve had just walked in. If he noticed you, he didn’t make it noticeable. You watched as he walked over to the bar and sat beside Gamora. Steve ordered a drink from Happy before talking to Gamora. Too bad you were too far away to hear them.
“Y/N kissed me,” Steve told Gamora. “Peggy kissed me… My wife and my girlfriend kissed me on the same day.”
“Happy, do I look friend to you?” Gamora asked.
“Oh, you’re a tiny little kitten of joy and love,” Happy responded, only for Gamora to make a face. “What? He saved my life.”
“His first mistake.” She took a sip of her drink. “Captain McDreamy, go sit by someone who cares.”
“Oh gee,” Steve mocks hurt, but doesn’t make a move to go. “Everything’s gonna be fine. Peggy will leave. Y/N and I will start over. Everything’s gonna be fine. Right?”
“You are so damn stupid.”
~~~
“With Natasha out, I need everyone focused today,” Gamora told her group of interns as you all headed off to rounds. “I have a feeling it’s gonna be be one of those days and since we’re short an intern, you do not want to get on my bad side.”
“When are we not on her bad side?” You whispered to Clint.
“Speak for yourself,” he replied with a scoff. “Scott and I are her favorites.”
The group walked into their first patients room. The woman was sitting on the bed, enthralling a group of hospital workers with a tell.
“So we're in the middle of the Belizean jungle and this jaguarondi jumps out and bites one of the guides,” the woman says. “They all look at me. They're yelling, "You're a doctor, help him!" This is one time a PhD does no good.” The people laugh.
“Sorry,” Gamora interrupted, “did I miss the memo about social hour?” Everyone quickly began leaving besides your group.
“Tales of missionary life,” the woman explained.
“You’re a missionary?” Val asked.
“No, my parents. We traveled a lot. Well, they still do.”
“Lang, tell me about our patient,” Gamora ordered.
“Okay, um, this is Dr. Banner’s patient, Talya,” Scott explained. “She, uh, presents with multiple syncopal episodes and ventricular arrhythmias.”
“So you’ve been passing out?” Gamora asked.
“Yeah,” Talya confirmed, “and having palpitations.”
“Talya has past medical history of rheumatic heart disease with mitral valve stenosis,” Scott added.
“They had to ship me from Zambia to the States for 3 months of treatment when I was 8,” Tayla said. “Rheumatic fever almost killed me.”
“Someone please tell me what the primary causes of ventricular arrhythmias are,” Gamora said.
Before anyone in the room could responded, Natasha appeared in the doorway. She leaned up against it in her hospital gown with her IV stand.
“Valvular disease, mitral valve prolapse, stimulants, drugs, and metabolic abnormalities,” Natasha answered.
“Out!” Gamora ordered.
“I’m fine.”
“Out! And you better be in your bed by the time we round on you!”
“And when will that be?”
“In 15 seconds. 14. 13. 13. 11.”
Natasha turned around to head to her room, revealing her underwear through her nightgown. The group of interned laughed.
“Nice panties, Romanoff!” Peter laughed.
Natasha flips him the bird as she keeps waking. “In your dreams, Quill.”
They followed Natasha into the room, where she huffed as she got back into bed.
“L/N,” Gamora called.
“Right,” you responded. “Natasha Romanoff. Post-op day 3 from a unilateral salpingectomy.”
“And ready to get back to work,” Natasha said. “I'm taking solids and my pain is controlled with oral meds. I'm ready.”
“Well, it says here on your chart on you had a fever?”
“Y/N,” Nat growled.
“Natasha, did you have a fever?” Gamora questioned.
“Temp spiked to 101 last night. Big deal.”
“She worked 2 shifts last month with a 102 degree flu,” Clint added.
“Yes! Exactly, Clint. Thank you.”
“And we appreciate your dedication but you're staying in bed until it normalizes,” Gamora said. “You need to relax, shut up, and get better. You're a patient this week so you can be a doctor next week. Understand?”
“I understand,” Natasha grumbled.
~~~
Rounds had finished as you were heading to your assignment when you ran into Steve near the elevators.
“Skipping rounds?” He wondered.
“No,” you replied. “They just finished.” You kept walking, when Steve took your arm to stop you.
“Y/N…”
“You’ve got a wife.”
“Yes.”
“You’re life is complicated.”
“Yes.”
“I don’t need more complicated. I have that all on my own.”
“Yes.”
“Stop saying yes.”
Steve smiled. “I’m trying not to make any sudden movements.”
“You think this is funny?”
“Peggy’s leaving. She doesn’t have any more patients. There’s no reason for her to be here.”
“No reason? Really?”
“No really whatsoever.”
Steve stepped closer, bringing his hand up to brush your cheek. You stood there, trying to not let it get to your head or, well, anywhere else. Suddenly, Peggy appeared.
“Well now, isn’t this cozy?” She said. “Can I join in or are you not into threesomes?”
“I have to go,” you said, rushing away. You didn’t go too far, interested to watch everything unfold.
“Y/N…” Steve called with a sign. He turned to Peggy. “You really are Satan. You realize that right? If Satan were to take physical form, he'd be you. Everywhere, all the time.”
“I am so not Satan,” Peggy responded.
“How come you haven't got on your broomstick and gone back to where you belong?”
“Stop being petty.”
“Stop being an adulterous bitch.”
“You know, you are going forgive me eventually, right? I mean you can't just ... I mean there was a time when you thought of me as your best friend.”
“There was a time where I thought you were the love of my life. Things change.”
Peggy sighed and pulled some papers out of her bag, handing them to Steve. Steve quickly flipped through them.
“Divorce papers,” he said.
“Your lawyer said they're ok. I haven't signed them yet. The ball's in your court. If you sign, I'll sign. I'll sign and be on the first plane out of here.”
“I'll sign them immediately. I want you out of here as soon as possible.”
“Steve, have you ever thought that, even if I am Satan and an adulterous bitch, that I still might be the love of your life?”
Not answering, Steve walks away, completely not noticing you listening in from behind a pillar.
“What are we looking at?” Tony asked, appearing out of nowhere.
“Ah!” You exclaimed, jumping slightly. “Don’t do that!” You playfully hit him. “You scared me.”
“Sorry,” he laughed. “I just saw you over here and I was interested in seeing what you were observing.”
“I think… I think Peggy just handed Steve divorce papers.”
“Really? That actually surprises me. I thought she would put in a little more of a fight.”
“Yeah…”
“I guess that’s good news for you, right?”
“I guess.”
“You guess?”
“I want him to choose me because of me, not because of a divorce.”
“In my ever humble opinion, I think it will always be you. Trust me. That man is whipped.”
~~~
Natasha snuck out of her room and stole her chart. She sat in her bed as she made changes to it. Walking by, Banner looked in and noticed that no one else was in there. He quickly took the chart of Nat.
“Hey! That’s my chart,” Natasha complained.
“You're the patient. Not the doctor. Act like one,” Bruce reprimands as he studies her chart. “It's been tough finding you alone.”
“Yeah? Well…”
“How are you doing?”
“Well, you have my chart, you tell me.”
He sighed. “Natasha, how are you doing?”
“I’m fine. Perfectly okay.”
“I had a right to know.”
“Well, now you do.”
“Natasha—“
“Look. Now you know. It’s over. There’ soothing for you to deal with. So I don’t know what else there really is left to say.”
“Plenty. For starters you could've come to me—“
“And what? We could have raised it together? Or you could have held my hand when I got the abortion? I did not need any of that. I’m an intern.”
“Nat—“
“Can you just go? I need to rest. Doctor’s orders.”
~~~
Gamora called you to help her with a patient. You two walked into the patient room together, revealing a younger man on the bed.
“I thought I told you I never want to see you again,” Gamora said to the patient.
“That's only cause you're too lazy to learn anything more,” the man responded.
“Dr. Y/N L/N, this is Nick Tate. He thinks he knows so much cause he was one of my first patient's as an intern.”
“I knew as much as she did. She was clueless about how to treat cystic fibrosis. A simple cholecystectomy turned into a month-long stay.”
“Better not be alleging malpractice. Guy raises about a 100 grand a year for cystic fibrosis, running triathlons. Thinks he's a big shot.”
“Wait, you run triathlons?” You questioned, confused how it could as a patient with cystic fibrosis.
“Yeah, why not?” He responded.
“It’s a pain for one,” Gamora replied, flipping through the chart. “Says here you're finally admitting to feeling a little unwell?”
“A little.”
“How little? Truth.”
“Oh, enough to keep me awake at night. Had some seizures. Um, too weak to work out.”
“Anyone been through here with your CT results?”
“No. It's probably just my pancreatitis kicking up again.”
“All right then. We'll be back. With your results and a plan.” Gamora walked to the door, with you following. She glanced back at Nick. “Huh, where do your parents think you are this time?”
He smiled. “Hmm, San Diego.”
Gamora shakes her head as you follow her the rest of the way out of the room.
“What about his parents?” You asked. “Shouldn’t he, or we, tell them?”
“No, he doesn't like to bother them until he's well or about to get discharged. He understands his reality. He just chooses to ignore it. Denial works for him, L/N.”
~~~
After Bruce had left, it only took Natasha two minutes to have found blue scrubs and change into them. She took out her IV and snuck out to the nurses station. She began looking through patient charts. The head nurse, Phil Coulson, found her like that.
“Where’s your IV?” He asked, looking at her with a disappointed father face.
“I've taken solids. I HEP-locked it,” Natasha replied.
“On whose orders?”
“Mine.”
“Okay.” Phil quickly found her chart and began reading it. “Romanoff. How about this order: best rest, out of bed to chair, bathroom privileges. Nothing about stealing charts at the nurses station.”
“Okay, you know what….” She quickly looked around to find a nearby empty wheelchair. She brought it over and sat down in it. “There, satisfied? I’m out of bed to chair.”
“I’m telling your intent on you.”
“Y/N?”
“Yeah.”
“Oooh, I’m so scared.”
She wheeled off with a patient chart, heading to Tayla’s room. When she arrived, she witnessed Tayla, by herself, taking a pill.
“I saw that!” Natasha exclaimed from her wheelchair in the doorway. “I saw you take that pill.”
“Oh it's, it's my pill,” Tayla excused. “You know... the pill.”
Natasha quickly looked over the chart. “It’s not at all in your chart and you are supposed to tell us the meds you are on.”
“You’re not my doctor. You shouldn't even be here.”
“She’s right,” Val said, appearing from behind. “You shouldn’t be here.”
“I saw her take unauthorized medication!” Natasha continued.
“Well, you’re unauthorized to be here.”
“I’m on the pill and I had grapefruit juice this morning,” Tayla explained. “Since the juice inhibits enzymes involved in the metabolism of OCPs, I thought I'd avoid the interaction by taking it two hours after my meal.”
“She's has a doctorate in neuropharmacology, Natasha.”
Natasha huffed, “Well, Val, I don’t see any place where oral contra—“
“Okay so now you will. Will you just go back to bed and stop bothering the other patients?”
Tayla’s heart monitor suddenly started racing, bringing the other women attentions to her. She fell to the floor, unconscious, and Val rushed to her.
“She’s in V-FIB!” Natasha said.
“Call the code,” Val ordered as she began compressions.
Natasha practically jumped out of her chair to call a code, which didn’t feel good. Val got Tayla back as the code team arrived.
“No code?” The nurse questioned.
“Not anymore,” Val answered. “Can you help get her back into bed.
“I’ll—I’ll help,” Natasha breathed got, struggling to get back to her wheelchair. “Just give me a minute.”
“Would you just go back to bed? Seriously, please just go.”
Natasha nodded as she finally made it to the wheelchair. “Just… if she’s on OCP’s, mark it down. Okay, Val?”
“Yeah.”
~~~
You had gotten Nick’s x-ray’s back and were currently putting them up to view them with Gamora by your side.
“Nick’s got a mass in his midepigastrium,” you explained. “Diffused enlargement of the pancreas. That, with his hypoglycemic seizures—“
“He's going to need an exploratory laparotomy. But, despite his triathlons, his lungs still make me hesitant to cut,” Gamora added.
“What are we going to do?”
“I haven’t gotten that far yet.”
“Doctors,” Peggy greeted.
“Dr. Carter-Rogers.”
“How old is he?” Peggy asked, studying the x-rays.
“26.”
“Survivor, huh?”
“And them some. My patient for at least 5 years. I'm not gonna lose him now.”
“You planning a laparotomy?”
“Hmm. You know, I think I could help you with this. I've seen one case like this before in a 9 year old. We ended up having to do a total pancreotectomy.”
“I'd be honored to take any help you can give me.”
“You’re a neonatal specialist,” you said. “What, uh… this isn’t your area.” Gamora looked at you, annoyed, as she shock her head. “I’m just saying that—“
“I did 2 years genetic research in cystic fibrosis,” Peggy told you. “I've pretty much seen it all, Dr. L/N.”
“Oh.”
~~~
Walking down the hall, Steve found you. Always trying his best to make a conversation with you. This time it was easy.
“Are you sure your wife is leaving?” You questioned. “She offered to help on the case Gamora has me working on.”
“Just because she offered her services doesn't mean she intends to stay,” Steve responded.
“Well, what does it mean? Because it seems to me—“
“It means that she's a good doctor.”
“Huh… why are you suddenly defending her?”
“I’m not. Y/N, she gave me divorce papers. She filed.”
“Good for you.”
“All I have to do is sign, and I’m free… We’re free.”
“Is there anything to think about?”
“No,” he shook his head, “of course not. I have to read through them, sign, then Peggy’s on the next plane out of here.” He grabbed your hands. “This is going to work.”
~~~
After the conversation he had with you, Steve immediately went searching for Gamora.
“Of all the fine doctors in the city, you accept a consult from Peggy Carter,” Steve said, angrily.
“Carter-Rogers, isn’t it?” Gamora retorted.
“The point is she should be on her way home. Are you purposefully trying to drive me crazy?”
“You think this has something to do with you?” Gamora’s voice was loud and upset. “You think I’m even thinking about you and your romantic problems? I’m trying to help a patient very near and dear to my heart. And if consulting with your wife—your ex—your mistress, what ever it is that she becomes! If that’s the thing I have to do to save my patient, them I’m damn well gonna do it.”
“I understand… and I totally deserve the yelling. It’s just that—“
“Just, you look! You have put yourself between two very fine women and you looking for an easy way out and you wanna use me, and the hospital and... somebody to make the decision for you, and it's not gonna happen!”
“Could I just… could I just say a couple of things?”
“No.” Gamora stormed off.
~~~
You found Natasha sitting in her bed, in her room. Thankfully. Though she was looking through another patient’s chart. You pulled a chair up to her bedside and sat down in it with a sigh.
“What’s your problem?” Natasha asked.
“Peggy gave Steve divorce papers, which is good. I mean she’s still here, being Peggy, but it’s not like I’m jealous or anything.”
“That’s odd.”
“It’s odd I’m not jealous?”
“No, you have every right to be jealous. It's your territory and she's peeing all over it.” Natasha went back to focusing on the chart in her hands. “What’s odd is Banner’s patient.”
“Tayla?”
“Yeah. She’s been in 4 other hospitals this year. You know something’s not right.”
“You seem awfully interested in Banner’s patient.”
“This has nothing to do with Bruce.”
“Natasha, you lost a fallopian tube, a baby and a boyfriend all in one day. You have the right to be upset.”
“And you’re losing Captain McDreamy to his perfect wife. You have the right to be jealous.”
“I did not lose Captain McDreamy. Divorce papers, remember? And I’m not jealous.”
“And I’m not upset. I really need to get out of here.”
“You’re on bedrest, remember?”
“Okay, if the situation was reversed, would you wanna spend time with your mother in a confined room with one window?”
“No. I guess not. But still. You need to stay put.”
Before Natasha could respond, your pager beeped. You looked down at it and groaned.
“I got to go,” you muttered, leaving.
“Good luck!”
~~~
Peggy and Gamora met you in Nick’s room. There you began explaining the surgery to him.
“We won't know for sure until we go in there, but it looks like that I'm going to have to take out your pancreas and re-route your intestines,” Peggy said.
Nick looked at Gamora. “Did you tell her that my lungs don't do well with anesthesia?”
“Don’t I always have your back?” Gamora retorted.
“Your kidney function is decreasing rapidly and I'm afraid you're gonna go into multi-system organ failure if we don't operate,” Peggy continued.
“If I say no?” Nick wondered.
“There’s no guarantees, Nick. You know that,” Gamora answered. “It's gonna be a long, hard surgery and put a lot of stress on your body.”
“Yeah,” he smiled, “but I’m me.”
She smiled back. “But you’re you.”
“So if we don’t operate, I die. And if… we do operate, I may die.”
“Basically, yes,” Peggy responded.
“Well, I like those odds. And 26 years with this disease is awesome. And that's the reality. So if I get lucky ... great. And if I don’t…” Nick grabbed Gamora’s hand, “it’s been sweet.”
“It’s gonna stay sweet,” she replied.
~~~
Natasha was laying on her bed with her harm over her eyes when Clint walked into the room. Tayla’s chart was laid out on top of her.
“Why do you have that?” He asked.
“I’m working,” Nat answered. “Trying to figure out what’s going on with the crazy woman on four.”
“You are the crazy woman on four. Though, I have to say, you have a better patina than me and you don’t even really have a patient.” Clint plopped down in the chair next to her bed. “Y/N’s got a CF case. Peter has a gunshot wound. Val’s got the mystery arrhythmias. I have babysitting a crazy old lady! I’d rather do scut with Scott than this! I’m a surgeon. A cutter. I don’t want to be a fake surgeon! I want to be a real one!”
“She’s faking it,” Nat repeated to herself. She quickly got off the bed. “The missionary. Talya… Thank you!”
She patted Clint’s head as she walked by. Natasha headed straight for the nurses station, where she saw Val looking around for something.
“Val!” Natasha called. “How how Talya’s studies been?”
“Hey!” Val responded, not pleasantly as she took the chart from Nat. “I’ve been looking everywhere for that!”
“Negative, right?”
“Oh! The echo tests showed mild mitral stenosis, the tilt test was negative. We're doing EP studies.”
“I can tell you what's wrong with her without sticking electrodes in her heart.”
“Really. Just by the chart?”
“No, from the pill she took.”
“They were contraceptives, Natasha! Why are you so obsessed with this? Just go back to bed!”
“I think she’s doing this to herself.”
“You think she's inducing ventricular arrhythmias? She'd have to be crazy to do—“
“No, no, no. She'd have to have Munchausen’s.”
“Okay wait. You think she's secretly ingesting something to produce real symptoms? Seriously?”
“Yes. Run it by Banner and tell me what he thinks.”
“Why don’t you tell him yourself. He is standing right behind you.” Val made eye contact with the man. “Dr. Banner.”
Then Val left. Leaving Natasha will Bruce. She sighed as Bruce guided her into the small office nearby before listening to her.
“I mean, she obviously loves the patient role. She practically lives in hospitals. And... and, and we're like an imaginary family to her because her really family blows her off to go take care of other people.... And, and I saw her take something.”
“It's not enough,” Bruce said, shaking his head. “We have to rule out everything else. Everything physical.”
“She even lied about her job. She's a pharmacy tech, not a PhD.”
“So she's a liar. I've been lied to before.”
“Hey, we're not talking about us here.”
“Maybe we should be.”
“I didn’t lie!”
“You withheld the truth from me. How was00”
“Okay, you know what? I distinctly remember you breaking things off with me. And you didn't seem so upset about it. And this?” She motioned between herself and Bruce. “This is, this is not a relationship. This is not real.”
“Natasha…”
“Okay, and, and so what's with the big display of fake hurt and drama?” She began walking out of the room.
“Natasha!”
“I’m supposed to be in bed.”
~~~
You absolutely did not want to be in surgery with Peggy. Yet there you were.
“I need more traction,” Peggy stated. “Dr. Y/N?” You quickly did as you were told.
“Here,” Gamora called, “give me some suction there.” So you did. “Now L/N, retract the duodenum. Good. How’s he doing Vis?”
Vis was keeping watch over Nick’s vitals and such. “Harder to ventilate and no urine output since we started,” Vis informed.
Peggy shook her head, “he’s shutting down.”
“Did you increase his peak pressures?” Gamora asked.
“Any higher, I blow his lungs,” Vis responded before the monitor beeped. “Bradycardia. Pushing 1 of atropine.”
“Try ventilating him manually,” Peggy ordered, “see if he starts coming back up.” Vis began pushing on a bag.
“Did we miss any bleeders?” Gamora wondered.
“The surgical field is clear.”
The monitor began beeping faster. “Agonal rhythm,” you said.
“Any pulse with that?” Gamora asked.
“No carotid,” Vis answered.
“Okay, starting CPR.” Gamora handed over her tools and begun CPR. “Push one of EPI.”
“No extraordinary measures, Gamora,” Peggy warned. “He’s DNR.”
“No this is just good medicine.” Sh continued CPR, almost frantically. “Come on! Come on! Don’t give up. Come on.”
“You’re getting tired,” you noted. “Let me take over, Dr. Gamora.” She nodded, letting you quickly switch her places.
“Gamora, his intestines are cyanotic,” Peggy stated. “There’s no blood circulating.”
“It’s been shunted to his brain where he needs it,” Gamora responded as she studied your CPR form. “You call those compressions.” She shoved you to the side and took over CPR. You and Peggy made eye contact, worried. “Fight it. Come on.” Peggy looked around, shaking her head, and everyone stopped what they were doing. All but Gamora. “Why isn’t anyone moving? Whose recording?”
“It's been ten minutes since we've had a perfusing rhythm.” Peggy goes to stop Gamora but is shrugged off. The monitor flat lines. “It’s your call, Gamora.”
Taking a shaky inhale, Gamora stopped. She pulled off her mask as the monitor continues to flat line. “Asystole.” She looked up at the clock. “Time of death: 19:35.”
Gamora rushed out of the OR, trying not to cry. She went straight to the sinks and began cleaning her hands furiously. She paused when she noticed people covering up Nick’s body. Peggy walked in and started washing her hands as well, with you following. You both eyed Gamora a few times, worried. Soon, she left.
Peggy sighed. “It’s hard to accept the end when you’re too close.” She looked down as she slipped her wedding ring back onto her finger. She noticed you watching. “Look, I don't want someone who doesn't want me, Y/N. But if there's the slightest chance that he does, I'm not leaving New York.”
~~~
Val walked into Natasha’s room, not excited for the news she was about to tell her.
“Well?” Natasha asked.
“You were right,” Val sighed. “Talya definitely suffers from Munchausen’s.”
“See I was right…. I was right…” She closed her eyes. “I was right…” Nat began to cry. “I was right. I was… I was right. Oh… I’m—I’m—“ She let out a sob. “I’m right. I’m—I’m right.”
Val looked out of the room to see Clint walking by. “Clint! Page Y/N!”
Clint hurried in. “Why? What—what’s happening? What did you do to her?”
“She just started crying and I don’t know what to do!”
“I’ll get one of the nurses to page, Y/N.” Clint rushed out.
“Natasha,” Val tried, slowly coming closer. “Natasha, calm down.”
“The nurses paged her!” Clint came rushing back in.
“It’s okay, Nat.” Val went in for a hug, only for Nat to shrink away and cry harder. “Okay, okay. I won’t hug you.”
“What’s going on?” You came running in, panicked.
“I can’t stop!” Nat cried. “I can’t—-I can’t stop…”
“Crying,” Val finished for her. “She can’t stop crying.”
“I can’t see that!” You replied. “What did you guys do to her?”
“Nothing!”
“She’s going to dehydrate,” Clint said. “Nat, do you want some water?”
Nat shook her head, “no, no…” You tried to go in for a hug, only to be pulled away.
“NO!” Clint and Val exclaimed.
“I already tried that,” Val said. “It just made it worse.” Clint tentatively handed Nat a tissue.
“Natasha,” you tried again.
“Make—make it stop,” Natasha sobbed. “Make it stop… Somebody sedate me!”
“What’s going on in here?” Bruce asked, walking in. He was dressed like he was about to leave. There was clear concern etched on his face.
“We can’t get her to stop crying,” you replied.
“Y/N, get everyone else out of here.” Bruce was taking off his jacket. “Watch the door.”
You nodded, quickly ushering Clint and Val out. They voiced protests, but willing left. You shut the door behind you and watched. Peeking through the window, you watched as Bruce got in the bed beside Nat. He wrapped his arms around her and brought her close, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. Natasha willingly curled into him, welcoming his comfort. You sighed and turned away, leaning against the door to keep watch. Steve noticed you and came up.
“Hey,” he smiled.”
“Hey.”
“When are you off?”
“Uh,” you glanced at your watch, “in about an hour. Why?”
“Meet me at Happy’s when you get off.” He started walking backwards, sly smirk on his lips. “Don’t be late.”
~~~
Steve and you arrived at Happy’s bar at the same time. He gave you a smile as he held the door open for you. You walked over to an empty table, Steve close behind.
“I’m glad we’re doing this,” you said.
“Me too,” Steve replied. He set it briefcase on his chair. “Want a drink?”
“Yes, please.”
Turning around, Steve knocked his briefcase onto the ground. A stack of papers slipped out.
“I’ve got it,” Steve quickly said, bending down.
“I’ll get it,” you said, picking up the papers.
You glance at the papers as you stand back up. There his divorce papers, that he has yet to sign.
Steve POV
“The 911 operator I was talking to had this great idea to use the hose to pull the little girl across the water to get her out of the pool,” Steve reminisced, sitting at the big island in the kitchen watching Sam cook.
“Dude, I was there, remember,” Sam replied.  “And hasn’t it been like a week since that happened?”
“Yeah, but it was such a clever idea. I didn’t even know they could see the whole house on their monitors.”
“Who cares! It’s probably some fancy technology not available on the market yet, but if I'm hearing this correctly, it sounds like she popped Stevie’s dispatcher cherry,” Bucky joked behind him.
Steve peeked over his shoulder, narrowing his eyes at Bucky. “My what cherry?”
“You know when you talk to a dispatcher on the phone while on scene. Danvers takes those calls most of the time, but every once in a blue moon, one of us takes it.” Bucky wiggled his eyebrows. “Who was the operator?”
“Um...YN.”
“Oh, my sister,” Thor announced in a deep voice, patting him on the shoulder and taking the stool next to him. “She is very intelligent.”
“Wait, you have a sister?” Steve asked, widening his eyes at him.
“I have two sisters, while one half-sister, but we don’t talk about her because she’s the worst,” Thor answered with pursed lips. “YN is the best though, I like to think she got the brains, I got the brawn, and well, I guess, that makes Loki the beaut of the family.” He nodded with a half shrug.
“Are we still talking about how Rogers popped his dispatcher cherry,” Carol smirked, walking into the kitchen with Valkyrie. Steve felt his face heat up as he tried to say something, but she held her hand up. “It’s okay! Everyone remembers their first time,” She winked, forcing him to shake his head.
“Okay, okay. I get it.” Steve held up his hands in surrender, trying to hide the blush on his face.
_____________
You swiveled back and forth in your chair, waiting for the next call to come in. You had a half-hour left of your twelve-hour shift, and you needed a girls' night out. Living with your brother and Darryl was both a blessing and a curse. They offered you a place to stay, rent-free when you first moved here, but the amount of testosterone in that house was sometimes too much for you to handle. You tapped your fingers on your desk when your line started ringing. You sat up, letting out a deep breath, and pressed the spacebar.
“911, what’s your emergency?”
“Hello,” a male voice replied.
“How can I help you?”
“I’m making a turkey and was wondering what the internal temperature has to be?”
“You do know it’s against the law to call with a fake emergency, right?”
“Yes, but this is an emergency.”
“No, it’s not, so get off my line.” You hung up the line, shaking your head. Right away, another call came through, and you answered it.
“911, what’s your emergency?”
“Hi, hello. My friends are trapped in the elevator. The elevator must have snapped or something because there was this loud bang.”
“Where are you calling from?”
“The Natural History Museum. Please hurry!”
____________
Steve sat in his unassigned assigned spot at the dining table, eating a late lunch with the team. It was the cardinal rule at Station 107: Work as a team and eat as a family. Steve never thought he'd be able to find another firehouse he enjoyed working at, considering his previous teammates and friends at his old one. He hated leaving them behind, but he needed a fresh start, and so far, Station 107 was the best second home he could ask for.
Everyone brought something to the team as every firehouse did.  Captain Danvers, or Ace as she preferred to be called in the field, brought her confidence and experience, which made for a great leader they could trust and rely on. Thor had his strength and his bravery, but he did have an ego. Sam was a great motivator and could keep everyone on task while still cracking jokes. It was no wonder Sam was the head EMT at this firehouse. Valkyrie was a badass and wasn’t afraid to put people in their place. As for Bucky, Steve knew he would always be there for him till the end of the line.
The loud alarm blaring throughout the firehouse pulled Steve out of his stupor. Everyone knew what that sound meant, and they were ready to tackle whatever it might be. One after another, they slid down the firepole, pulled on their gear, and hopped in the truck, heading towards the scene. It wasn’t unusual to take calls that didn’t involve fire because whoever could get there the fastest was better than no one showing up at all.
Thor hopped behind the driver's seat of the fire engine, pulling out of the garage. Carol sat beside him, giving him directions while speaking with the dispatcher through her headset. The sirens were wailing with Val and Sam behind them in the ambulance.
“Alright, boys. We got an elevator crash at the Natural History Museum,” Carol said into her helmet mic after speaking with dispatch. “Dispatch says three students and their pregnant teacher are inside.”
“What’s the plan, Ace?” Steve asked into his helmet mic, concealing the siren blaring in the background.
“I have contacted the museum's elevator technician, and he has already locked and tagged the power on the cars. The car sits near the basement level, so we will approach from the top in the lobby. I want Thor on the winch…”
“Ahh---what,” Thor interrupted her.
“Calm down, big guy, you can have the next one.” She gave him the side-eye, making the rest of the crew chuckle. “Steve and Bucky are going to do an immediate retrieval and approach from the top. Sam and Val will set a perimeter and then treat those who come up. Then, I will help with the retrieval, and Thor with the winch,” she stated with the last part dripping in sarcasm.
“It still hurts,” Thor added, taking a right at the intersection.
Once on-site, everyone grabbed their gear and took their positions.  Steve and Bucky strapped on their harnesses and helmets, switching on the flashlight. They started scaling down the elevator shaft from the lobby as Thor lowered them on the winch with the retrieving rope.
“How we looking, Steve?”
“Sexy, but not like we are trying too hard, but it’s more kind of effortless.”
“Yeah, I mean, have you seen Steve’s ass in that harness. It could be American’s Ass or more like LA’s Finest Ass,” Sam commented with a whistle, echoing in the shaft.
“Yeah, yeah, I know.” Steve landed on the top of the elevator, unhooking himself while Bucky did the same.  “I’m down and unattached.”
“That’s what she said,” Carol responded with her head appearing in the shaft.
Thor chuckled, shaking his head. “Classic.”
Steve rolled his eyes and used his other flashlight to find the hatch on top of the elevator. He unclipped the lock, opening the hatch door, seeing the top of the lights. “I’m Fireman Rogers, please move towards the buttons. I’m going to kick the light out, so we can get you out of there.” It took a few kicks, but once it fell through, a few faces peeked up at him.  “How are we doing in there?”
“Oh my god, thank god, you’re here. I thought we were gonna die,” one of the kids replied, clutching his phone in his hand.
“Calm down, Flash. Everything is fine,” the pregnant woman reassured. “Right?” She looked up at Steve with worried filled eyes, and he nodded.
“Watch out, I'm coming down.” Steve crawled down into the hatch, and Bucky passed him the spare harness.  “Ma’am, you’re going up first, but first we need to get you strapped into this harness, then we’ll pull you up.” She nodded, trusting him, and allowing him to put the harness on her before Thor used the winch to pull her up.
“Okay, boys, who's going to go next?”
“I’m next,” the one they called Flash stated.
“Okay, then, how about you with the cool hat.”
“Thanks, it gives me confidence,” the kid smiled.
“And then, you,” Steve pointed to the kid wearing a Midtown School of Science and Technology shirt.
“Um...yeah--” he nodded a little too much. “--Yeah...I can go last. Get everyone else to safety first.”
“Perfect.” Steve clapped his hands together. “Let’s do this.”
___________
It turned out to be a quick rescue, and no one suffered any major injuries. Steve took some gear out to the truck and started repacking it when he felt someone tap him on the shoulder. He turned around, noticing the kid in the Midtown School of Science and Technology shirt wrapped in an ambulance blanket.
“What can I do for you, kid?”
“Peter. Peter Parker. I’m...I’m Peter Parker.” He held out his hand, and Steve shook it. “I just wanted to say thank you...thank you for saving my teacher and my friends back there. We’re on our school trip from New York, and this was an adrenaline rush experience.” Peter held up his hand, and Steve noticed it shaking.
He chuckled. “It will wear off.”
“It felt like that opening scene of that old action movie. Where John Wick saves those people that were trapped in the elevator after the bad guy tried to blow them up with a bomb. They don’t catch him obviously because it’s the opening scene, but later he puts the bomb on the bus, and that Bird Box lady has to keep driving like fifty-five miles an hour, or the bus will blow up.”
“I know the one. I think you’re thinking of Speed, but I don’t think it’s that old.”
“Yeah, yeah, that one,” he chuckled, pointing his finger at him. “It’s kind of old, I mean you’re kind of old, so it’s kind of old to you, but to me, it’s kind of new because I’m not that old.” He rambled on, his eyes widening, realizing what he was saying.
“Peter, come on. The museum is going to show us some never before seen stuff because we almost died,” the kid with the cool hat shouted from across the street.
“Coming, Ned,” he yelled back. “Thanks again, Fireman Rogers, and sorry about calling you old. I didn’t...”
“It’s okay, kid, I’m just glad you’re safe.”
Steve watched Peter run back over to his friends with a smile on his face. It was these moments when he loved his job, watching friends and families reunite after a tragedy. It was these moments where he felt like it could almost fix what he lost.
______________
You sighed, taking a seat at your usual spot at the end of the bar in Happy’s Hydrant. Happy noticed you right away and smiled, giving you a bottle of beer. You thanked him with a nod, taking a sip, and scanning the crowd. It wasn’t unusual to spot a familiar face, considering this bar was created for the heroes of Los Angeles. It welcomed all those members who served or are currently serving as first responders, but civilians were welcome, too. It’s nice to have a place to go with people you could relate to and share similar experiences with after working a twelve or twenty-four-hour shift. They understand what we go through on a day to day basis. It was one of the many reasons Happy Hogan wanted to open this bar after he retired from his Fire Chief position at Station 12.
You swiveled back and forth on your bar stool until someone familiar on the other end of the bar caught your eye. You stopped moving, your eyes not wavering from the man. Your mouth went dry, hearing your heartbeat thumping in your ears. You gulped, feeling your palms start to tingle as the muscles in your legs start to tighten. Every nerve in your body was firing, telling you to run, but it felt like if you moved an inch, he would see you, and these past three months would’ve been for nothing. He glanced your way for a brief moment, and relief flooded your whole body. You relaxed, squeezing your eyes shut as you took a few deep breaths in and out. It wasn’t him.
The weight of someone touching your shoulder makes you jump off your bar stool, and turn around to see one of the ladies you were waiting for.  “Hey, it’s only me.” Carol held up her hands in surrender, giving you a reassuring smile. “Sorry, I forgot how jumpy you can be.”
“It’s okay. Lost in my head again.” You nodded, returning to your barstool.
“Thanks for giving my transfer a chance to be the shining star of my squad last week.” She nudged your side, flagging down Happy for a drink.
“Your what...with what,” you asked, narrowing your eyes at her.
“The pool, the hose, the little girl stranded on a floaty with the water electrified. Ringing any bells?”
“Ohhh, right. That one.” You took a sip of your beer. “Fireman Rhodes or was it Ronin?”
“Rogers. Steve Rogers.” You pointed the neck of your beer bottle at her and nodded. “You made quite an impression on him. He can’t stop talking about it, and it’s getting really annoying, but I guess you did pop his dispatcher cherry.” She nudged your side with an ever-growing smile on her face. You rolled your eyes at her, shaking your head. “And if single you is interested, I am sure he is willing to mingle. At least, if you’re into that sort of thing.”
“I’m not ready to start dating. I’m still trying to find myself after going through a terrible six-year marriage.” You gave her a half shrug, eyeing the bar. “When I am ready to date again, all I want is a nice guy.”
“Steve’s nice.  Hey, you should swing by one day before your shift and meet him,” she winked, and you scoffed, rolling your eyes.
“I haven’t even filed for divorce yet.”
“Wait--” she turned on her stool to face you “--hasn’t it been three months? Why not?”
“I don’t want him knowing where I am.”
“Doesn’t he know where Thor lives?”
“No,” you sighed, shaking your head. “Let's just say he didn’t take much interest in my life while we were together. Besides, I don’t think he'd think I’d go to Thor with how everything turned out the last time I went to him for help.
“What an asshole.” She rolled her eyes, taking a sip of her beer, and you nodded.  “Well, at least you know you have an admirer,” she added, making you scoff.
“Hey ladies, sorry I’m late,” Natasha greeted, taking the other stool next to you. “Clint and I checked out this noise complaint a neighbor called in. And it turns out this guy was serenading his ex-girlfriend with hopes to win her back. It was this whole thing, and we wanted to stick around to see what happened next.”
“So what happened,” Carol asked with curious eyes, wearing a mischievous smirk on her face.
“It was crazy.” She shook her head, letting out a breathy chuckle. “She came down and punched him in the face. Apparently, this dude cheated on her with, wait for it--” she drummed her hands on the bar countertop “--her brother. It was a twist I didn’t see coming, but talk about drama on duty. Sometimes I think it would be easier fighting fires or answering phones all day.”
“Oh please, Nat, you wouldn’t last a day. You would miss seeing the excitement first hand. Over the phone, you don’t get much excitement,” you replied.
“Speak for yourself,” Carol added, taking a swig of her beer. “You would love my job, Nat. You get to boss men around.”
“I kind of do that already. Besides, I don’t think I could leave Clint. He’d be lost without me,” she smirked, signaling Happy to make her a martini.
Natasha oozed confidence, which came off as intimidating to most women. When she walked into a room, all eyes were on her, but it was attention she chose to ignore. When men would buy her drinks, she'd take it to another lovely lady. Nat was all about lifting and empowering women to feel confident in their own skin. She wasn’t afraid to tell people to back off or shut up. She was the role model you wish you had when you were with him, then maybe you would've had the confidence and courage to leave sooner.
“Here you are, Nat?” Happy pushed the martini glass to her. “Are you ladies still good?” He asked, pointing to the drinks in front of you.
“Yeah, we’re good. Thanks, Happy,” you smiled at him as he walked away, shooting you a thumbs up.
“How is apartment hunting going, YN?” Nat asked, taking a sip of her martini.
“Good, I found this cute little condo a few blocks away from work. It has a modern feel to it, but I think it would be perfect for me,” you described. “I loved it when I saw the pictures. The landlord is out of town right now, but she told me it’s mine if I want it.”
“I’m so excited for you,” Nat squealed, squeezing your forearm. “You need to get out of that testosterone-filled house and get on your own two feet again.”
“Yes, you do,” Carol agreed. “What’s your softie older brother going to think of you leaving?”
“I’m going to have to break it to him slowly.”
AN: Thanks for reading part 2! I hope you all are liking it so far! If you caught it there was a quote from Brooklyn 99 that I thought was too good not to put in! 😂 Also, Darryl Jacobson, if you don't remember him, he was Thor's roommate in those Marvel shorts. I thought he would be a fun and entertaining addition to this story! Also, any ideas as to why Steve left his old firehouse? Did you enjoy the little Peter Parker cameo? And what do you think Thor is going to think of her moving it? Comments always welcome, thanks again for reading!
Chapter 2 - Cin Vhetin - T’ad
22 BBY - 7955
Din woke slowly this time, the beeping of medical equipment audible through the helmet’s audio sensors. He could sense movement just outside his peripheral vision so he sat slowly taking care not to pull at his back… the constant ache of the old wound was gone. Alertness coming back to him as he remembered the disjointed events of the day prior. His mind was sluggish but at least he could think clearly, the too big helmet helping him stay grounded. He was 30 years in the past, in the child version of his body. He flexed his hands and stretched his back, he groaned in satisfaction. He hasn't been able to do that since the injury, his back was always too stiff. Yes, he was definitely smaller. The weight of his red robes registered and he sucked in a breath, he hadn't seen those robes since his parents’ death. He lifted the edge of it under his helmet and gave it a good sniff. Ka’ra, it smelled like Aq-Vetina, the rich earthy scent of his first parents still strong, mixed with the distinct smell of spices on the market. There were other smells too like ash and blood but for once he ignored those, basking in the memory of his birth parents.
The door opened and Helix walked in, datapad in hand. He glanced up when he sensed Din looking at him and gave him a gentle smile
“Hey, kid” Helix pulled up a stool beside the bed and sat, keeping himself relaxed. Din nodded in greeting the helmet wobbling on his head.
“Do you know where you are?” Helix asked gently and Din tried not to let his irritation show since he did attack them yesterday and his mind was still hazy
“A Republic cruiser” He answered and Helix nodded
“Good. Can you tell me the year?” Din paused just to make sure he got the date right since it’s been decades since he last used CRC
“7955” Helix gave him a gentle smile and stood and began to fiddle with one of the medical equipment in the room. Din watched him like a hawk when a thought occurred to him in his still sluggish mind.
“Did you drug me?” he asked suspiciously and Helix stilled and turned back to Din
“Yes. Some weak sedatives and a mild Force suppressant” Din furrowed his eyebrows at that
“Force suppressant?” Why would he need that? He doesn’t have magic like Grogu or the jetii. Helix hummed
“The General suggested it since you weren’t sleeping well” he explained but Din was even more lost
“What do my dreams have to do with magic osik?” He asked incredulously and Helix froze as a scanner clattered on the floor
“Kark” He swore as he gathered the dropped item, shaken; though how Din knew since Helix appeared perfectly composed was a mystery. He turned to Din muttering some curse under his breath then leveling Din with a serious look
“You don’t know?” he asked and Din was starting to get nervous that something was wrong with him
“Know what?” He tilted his head to the side in confusion. Helix closed his eyes in pain and sighed
“Can I comm the General? He would be more suited for this conversation” Din looked at Helix in shock, the short time he knew the medic he was always confident knowing what to say, taking control of the situation with ease. Anxiety rolled in his stomach, but his instincts weren’t giving him any bad vibes so he reluctantly nodded
“Sure,” he said. Helix jumped into action and keyed in the General’s frequency, he picked up a tense minute later
“General, there’s a problem in room 27” Helix said voice level and the comm was silent for agonizingly long seconds
“Copy that” Kenobi’s voice was on edge as he disconnected from the comm. Helix sat back on the stool
“It’s nothing bad, Beroya” He tried to soothe. Din raised an eyebrow and tilted his bucket with a snort filled with disbelief
“I’m not a child, you don’t have to coddle me” Helix sucked in a breath his eyes filling with pain
“Oh, right”
The door hissed open and Kenobi rushed in followed by Kote, Din relaxed at the sight of them.
“Is everything alright vod?” Kote asked in a harsh and caring voice. Helix stood, gave Kote a nod with a small smile, and turned to Kenobi
“General he uh… doesn’t know” Both of them looked at Helix in shock the medic did not hesitate - ever. Kenobi blinked in confusion, then his eyes settled over Din while Kote eyed Helix. Din was so confused. What doesn’t he know? It was something fundamentally big he managed to miss in over 40 years. He watched warily as Obi-Wan pulled another chair from the corner and sat, Kote settled on the edge of his bed patting his leg comfortingly.
“What did Helix tell you?” Obi-Wan asked and Din’s attention snapped to him
“I was given sedatives and a Force suppressant?” he furrowed his eyebrows “I was told it helped me sleep better” Din was plagued with nightmares and dreams that came true since he was a child. Sometimes they remained in his head as an eerie echo or other times they were weird and cryptic but they always came true and left him more exhausted than he should be when he woke. Strangely though when the goran gave his beskar buy’ce the intensity of the dreams lessened, she said it would help him.
“Yes, visions are taxing on your body and mental wellbeing so in extreme cases or with an untrained Force user, mild Force suppressants are given to limit your exposure. Don’t worry it shouldn’t interfere with your connection to the Force too much” Kenobi gave him a reassuring smile and panic was rising violently in Din despite the sedatives.
“General, I think you went a bit too fast” Kote commented, his voice heavy with barely concealed sarcasm but Din could tell he was laughing on the inside. Din’s mind was blank, his hands were shaking
“I-I don’t understand. My dreams… I … have jetii magic? Neret’yc” he mumbled and grabbed the sides of his helmet with his shaking hands caught in his own feedback loop of panic and confusion
“Oh dear,” Obi-Wan mumbled while Kote scrambled off the bed and knelt in front of him gently prying his hands away from the bucket.
“Gar morut’yc” He whispered. Din slowly came down from the panic, his mind still an anxious mess but he could think again. He really should stop losing control like that. It was like his usual controls were gone and everything felt more powerful than usual, including his own emotions. It was exhausting and humiliating still, he thanked Kote and turned back to Obi-Wan who looked at him sheepishly.
“I’m sorry, Beroya. I shouldn’t have dumped it onto you like that. I assumed you knew” Discomfort weighed heavy on his heart at the apology but before he could say anything Helix whacked Kenobi on the back of his head. He let out a quiet oof. Terror spiked in Kote as he stared in shock
“Di’kut. That’s why I called you here” Helix snipped, then his face morphed into horror as his words registered and at Kenobi’s bewildered stare “Sir” he added as he straightened fearfully
“I deserved that one” Obi-Wan smiled and patted Helix on the arm. Once the General conceded, Kote burst into giggles, his lingering fear also disappearing from his shoulders. Helix glowered at him
“So… I have jetii magic?” Din asked before the vode could start a fight. Obi-Wan grimaced
“The Force but yes” Din hummed processing the information trying to put the two separate boxes of jetii osik and Mando’ade together without much success. There was something missing.
“What I want to know is how did Beroya miss this for over 30 odd years?” Kote interjected and he had a point. Obi-Wan stroked his beard in thought
“Many Force sensitive adults don’t know as the Force doesn’t always manifest with telekinesis, it could be good instincts, faster reaction time, better aim, visions of the future in dreams or just a heightened sense of empathy” Obi-Wan explained. Din looked down at his hand curiously
“I thought I always had good instincts” he mumbled “It feels different now though” Kote’s eyes snapped to his bucked in alarm, Helix’s hand tightening on his arm to keep him in place
“How?” Obi-Wan probed. Din, shrugged
“Clearer and louder. I… out of control” he said, words failing to convey the difference. Obi-Wan sucked in a breath
“Are you shielding, young one?” Din tilted his head in confusion
“I can protect my mind?” He asked innocently and Obi-Wan’s hand returned to his beard in thought then his eyes lit up in understanding
“Was your beskar’gam made of beskar?” he asked and Din bristled
“Of course it was,” he said with a little pride in his voice, his armor was his life after all. Obi-Wan tongue clicked
“Beskar blocks the Force. There are special alloys with a lower concentration of beskar made for Force sensitives”
“It does? But then why would…” It occurred to him that his dreams weren’t as severe when he slept with his buy’ce.
“Val ru’kar’taylir bal ru’ne’vaabir rejorhaa’ir ni'' They knew and did not tell me he murmured in disbelief. Why didn’t she tell him or make him a better beskar’gam? The stab of betrayal spread through his veins, his back aching in phantom pain. He wanted to throw something, anger bubbling up in him like lava, hot and dangerous. Kote placed a hand on his and the lava flowed into Kote leaving him empty
“It’s alright. I’m sure they had a reason” He said but the simmering outrage inside Kote remained. Grogu, the Empire wanted them for the same reason, maybe she was protecting him. The sting of lies and betrayal faded to a throb as he thought it over
“The Empire wanted Force sensitive children,” he said, his voice empty. It made sense now. Obi-Wan sucked in a sharp breath in pain.
“Are you alright?” Din asked and Obi-Wan nodded though he was still massaging his temple, his blue eyes found Din’s through the visor.
“How about I teach you how to shield? You might not feel as overwhelmed as much” he suggested and Din stared at him
“I can’t be a jetii, I’m a Mando’ad” He declared, his heart conflicted. The wrongness of becoming a jetii an enemy of Mandalore and his ingrained fear of his new and unknown powers conflicted with the instinct - that may or may not be the Force - telling him that it’s right, almost nudging towards that path. His thoughts flickered back to the confusing jetii’kad that Grogu gave him, the blade felt like a part of himself.
9 ABY - 7986
The Razor Crest was floating in empty space while Din tried to get his bearings and figure out potential allies after the mess on Nevarro. Rage boiled within him at the thought of that demagolka Gideon wanted his child. He sighed, lifted his helmet just enough to pinch the bridge of his nose when the cries of the child registered. They were their usual ‘I want attention’ cries but this time they were quite forceful and determined. Din set a course to a random backwater planet and jumped the Crest into hyperspace. The child was wailing now so Din climbed down the ladder to see what they wanted.
The child was sitting on a box, regarding him with intelligent eyes. Not a sign of their earlier distress
“What’s wrong adi’ka?” he asked as he stepped closer to examine them. Fierce determination radiated from their posture as their face adorably scrunched up in concentration
“Protect” Din sucked in a breath at the sudden thought that entered his mind, it was definitely not his. He sank down to the floor in shock and regarded the ad in wonder, his hands shook.
“That… that was you adi’ka?” he asked, his voice giddy with excitement. He finally had a way to communicate with the child to understand them, love swelled inside his chest. The child huffed in annoyance and concentrated some more
“PROTECT” They shouted in his head and Din’s mind almost ripped in half from the force of it. He took a steadying breath and held up a hand to stop the ad from doing it again but louder. A headache was beginning to form
“Alright, adi’ka. I’m sorry I haven’t been able to protect you” he said regret filling his voice. What kind of a Mandalorian can’t protect a child? The ad mewled in irritation cutting off Din’s destructive thoughts and pointed a shaky claw at him while glaring at him like it was his fault for not understanding. It was adorable and Din’s heart melted at the sight. Din furrowed his eyebrows in confusion once he puzzled out the message the child wanted to convey
“You want to protect me?” he asked in mild horror. The child smiled and nodded vigorously, ears flopping around like a dog as they began to shuffle around. Din’s heart ached in sorrow at their lost innocence
“Oh, cyar’ika” he breathed out, failing to keep his emotions out of his voice “I can protect myself. It’s not your responsibility,” he said as he gently reached out to lay a comforting hand on their shoulder. The ad’s big dark eyes gazed at him with confusion their ears down turning before scrunching up their nose in determination
“Promised” Din tightened his hand in worry and sighed
“Who?” The child gazed at him with sad yet knowing eyes as they pointed another shaky claw in his direction and Din recoiled in shock
“Me? I - I would never ask you to promise anything like that” he said incredulously he would never burden a child with such a promise. The ad’s eyes turned somber at that, their expression the most serious he’s ever seen and it disturbed him to his core. What has this child gone through?
“Too young” They declared their ears drooping with exhaustion and through the haze of confusion Din reached out to steady them. What did they mean he was too young? His mind was filled with more questions than answers from this strange conversation with the child. They finally pulled a cylindrical object out of the many folds of their robe and pressed it into Din’s hand
“Gift” they whispered weakly in his mind before collapsing in his arms. Din stared at the child, sleeping peacefully and then the object in his hand.
“Oh adi’ka what have you gotten yourself into?” he said voice laced with barely suppressed pain before leaning down and pressing his forehead to theirs
“Vor entye adi’ka” he murmured before tugging the snoring bundle into their hammock and shutting the door.
He studied the cylindrical object in his hand. It looked like a hilt of a weird sword, at the top four metal pieces were surrounding the inner part of the hilt like a crown. There was a band of shiny metal that appeared to be beskar curving around the middle of the hilt, two small buttons were nested on the side of the band. Below the dark leather grip at the bottom of the hilt was a cap painted vibrant orange. The leather was worn and fraying in some places and the beskar had some scorch marks on it.
He gripped the hilt and it slid into his hand perfectly, with a burning curiosity he thumbed one of the buttons. The sudden hum and light had him almost dropping the weapon. An orange blade materialized out of the hilt humming with glee and lighting up the interior of the hull with a soft orange glow. Din stared at the weapon with shock, he hadn’t seen anything like it in his life but strangely the weapon seemed to recognize him. It was singing to him Din realized, happiness pouring out of the weapon in waves, how he knew he had no clue. He gave it a slow experimental swing entranced by its joyful orange glow. It was strange the blade itself had no weight so his balance was off and he gave it another swing. The blade cut through the air fluidly humming with delight. Giddiness bubbled up inside him as he gave the weapon a good twirl. The blade hummed with the joy of long lost friends reuniting and Din laughed with the blade. Beeping broke Din out of his feedback loop of happiness barely loud enough over the humming of the blade. Din sighed, gifted the blade one last twirl and gave it a long longing look then thumbed the off switch. The blade died down leaving the room oddly dark and quiet. Emptiness he didn’t notice before registered for the first time in his life. He clipped the hilt to his belt and climbed up to the cockpit just as the Razor Crest lurched out of hyperspace.
22 BBY - 7955
Someone was talking through the haze that surrounded Din. His memory was clearing and he was in the medical bay of an unknown ship. He blinked in confusion
“Beroya?” The man at the end of the bed asked his brows drawn in concern. The ginger man placed a hand on his, Din jumped
“Did you have a vision?” He asked. His head cleared slowly; he was on a Republic ship, he was 44 in the body of his 12 year old self and he had the Force. Kote was at the end of his bed sat by his leg, Helix was standing behind Kenobi the jetii who just offered to train him. He sighed
“No, just a memory,” He thought back to the vivid memory he just remembered, he had a jetii’kad. Did he get one in the past? Did he give it to Gorgu? Why didn’t he keep it? He stared at his hands in confusion
“Beroya, teaching you how to shield doesn’t mean you have to become a Jedi,” Kenobi said reading his doubts, Helix hummed behind him. Din lifted his head and gazed at Obi-Wan
“But I have the Force?”
“There are many sentients who have the Force and are not Jedi”
“Oh,” he was quickly realizing that knew so little about all of the Force osik stuff. Right now, despite his instincts insistence otherwise, he did not want to abandon his Mandalorian heritage but he needed training to understand his powers better and to be able to protect himself when push comes to shove. He looked at Kenobi his helmet wobbling on his head
“I’ll accept your offer” Kenobi sighed in relief and Kote patted his leg, pride radiating off of him. Kenobi turned to Kote
“Cody make sure everything is set up” Kote nodded, gave Din a smile, and left the room Helix leaving with him
Kenobi gestured for him to stand and sit opposite him on the floor
“So, have you meditated before, young one?” Obi-Wan asked once Din had settled into a comfortable position. He shook his head
“Close your eyes and feel the Force around you. Take a deep breath through your nose and let it out slowly” Din followed Obi-Wan’s instructions calming his mind and letting the familiar yet unfamiliar feeling of the Force into him and wash over him. He gasped, he could feel Obi-Wan sitting across from him, his mind similarly calm but he was the brightest presence on the ship. He could also feel Helix shuffling around with some medical equipment next door and the thousands of different yet similar beings on the ship all glowing in his mind’s eye and moving through their duties like a well-oiled machine. He could pick out Kote’s light from among the rest, he was a warm, strong and steadfast presence, the one he would associate with a good leader or parent.
“Good, now imagine laying a wall between yourself and the rest,” Obi-Wan murmured from the outside, barely audible. Din slowly began building the wall in his mind, brick by brick reinforcing it with beskar along the way. Gradually the lights dimmed and their emotions that he’s been picking up quieted to a hum. His own emotions, now easier to separate, were clearer and easier to control from the absence of thousands of other emotions. He felt Obi-Wan pull away so he slowly climbed his way to consciousness. He blinked his eyes open, his chest lighter since he woke up in the past. He breathed out a sigh of relief. And his stomach rumbled. Obi-Wan who was already on his feet smiled good naturedly at Din and held out a hand, Din grabbed it and let him pull him to his feet.
“Vor’e” He thanked Obi-Wan
The door swished open and Helix walked with Kote right behind him carrying a big bag in his hand. Din tilted his head in question, putting a hand on his helmet to stop it from banging against his skull. Obi-Wan smiled at Kote.
“Oh good, you’ve got it” Kote grinned with excitement, his presence enveloping Din. He looked at the bag curiously as he sat back on the bed, legs swinging in anticipation. Kote hefted the bag onto the bed with a low grunt.
“We did the best we could,” Kote said as Din peered into the bag. His heart stopped. There was a whole set of beskar’gam made out of plastoid in the bag. He picked up the buy’ce cradling it in his hands in wonder tracing the edge of the T-visor with his finger. The design was like the armor Kote and his brothers wore but smaller, tailored to his size. He placed the buy’ce aside then lifted each piece out with care and wonder, each piece was snow white - Cin Vhetin - the color of a new beginning, it was fitting he mused silently. He laid them out on the bed in the traditional way he was taught as a child, admiring the full set.
“You could paint it if you want to,'' Helix suggested as he stood behind him. Din tilted his head in thought he never felt the need to paint his armor, then when he got the full beskar set and it didn’t feel right to paint it, the unpainted beskar showing his penance for almost becoming dar’buir. Now though he could imagine the swirling patterns of various designs on the white surface.
“I’ll think about it” he murmured then he hesitated for a moment before turning to Kote. “Uh… could you leave?” He asked and embarrassment coated his voice, Kote nodded in understanding and they quietly left the room. Once the door was shut behind them Din unclipped his red robe, folded it neatly and set it aside, and pulled on the black flight suit that came with the armor. Then he clipped each piece on with familiar ease of weaning armor his entire life and tightened the belts where he felt the plastoid slack. It fit surprisingly well to his new thin lanky frame. The plastoid was lighter and more flexible than his beskar of his previous beskar’gam and he’ll have to adjust to that. He gripped the helmet in his hands and stared at his new face with an odd sense of disappointment, something wasn’t quite right with it but he couldn’t figure out what. Still, it would be better than Kote’s too big bucket that wobbled precariously every time he moved his head. He lifted the bucket off his face and glanced around expecting the room to transform into an Imperial cell but it stayed mostly the same. Not wanting to chance another episode he placed his new buy’ce on his head. The slight hiss as it connected was a comfort he forgot he needed, he sighed as he finally felt safe in his own skin. He knocked on the door harshly to signal Kote and the others that he was done. Kote and Helix walked in and Din tilted his head in confusion
“Where’s Kenobi?” Helix shrugged
“He had to go up to the bridge since we’ll be rendezvousing with the 501st soon” he explained and Kote mock glared at his brother. Din held out Kote’s bucket and he grabbed it his hands shaking slightly
“Vor entye, Kote,” He said gratefully as tears prickled in the corner of his eyes. The warmth from Kote grew as it enveloped him like a hug. He beamed at him while Helix looked between them with a confused frown.
“You’re welcome Beroya” He clapped him on the shoulder still grinning
“How about we grab some food,” he said as he dragged him out of the room he’s been in the past few days. Din’s heart sped up.
“I can leave?” he asked with confusion. He was under the impression that he was a prisoner even if he was a nicely treated one. Helix who was following behind them sucked in a breath
“Of course you can,” he said with some incredulity. Din shrugged half heartedly
“I thought since I attacked your men that I would be a prisoner” He had to keep a tight hold on his new and fragile shields so as to not get swept away by the violent flood of Kote’s and Helix’s emotions.
“Well, at first you were” Kote admitted scratching the back of his neck and Helix shot him a look
“Oh” Din sighed, Kote held up a dramatic hand
“But! You were hallucinating and you apologized and you haven’t given us reason to treat you a prisoner since” Kote explained hastily and warmth spread across Din, he hummed and examined the hallway to distract himself from the strange emotion. The hallways, while similar to an Imperial ship at a first glance, had enough of a different feel to them that Din could differentiate the two. Troopers were walking about hurrying to their destination, some gave Kote a salute and smile, while others did a double take at the sight of Din. Their stares did not affect him since he was used to them when he had the full beskar beskar’gam. There were a few who huddled together and whispered something to the others, no doubt the gossip train had started already. Din sighed, the gossip amongst the Covert was bad since most of them never left the sewers of Nevarro but it may reach a new level of horrible since he was the center of the latest gossip.
They arrived at the mess hall quicker than he expected. Clones were in large groups around the tables, their chatter and the clatter of utensils echoed throughout the entire room. The tables were long white and organized into neat rows though some of the benches were askew and the shouts of rowdy bunch cut through the background noise. Din’s mind tried to puzzle out a way to escape eating but Kote grabbed his arm and dragged him towards the cue, once he realized Din was lingering in the doorway. Din sighed. He stared at the small selection of food, mostly ration bars and some instant meals that were even less appetizing.
“Don’t tell me you’re just as bad at eating regularly as the General,” Helix joked from next to him. Din did eat less than he should. The fact that he couldn’t remove his helmet in most establishments and that he was reluctant to spend more than the bare minimum on food since most of the money went to the Covert and the foundlings - all of that meant that he skipped a few meals here or there. Helix raised an eyebrow at him, a mean scowl on his face at Din’s silence.
“Well, I-” he began to explain himself when Helix held up a hand
“The Force and meditation are not adequate replacements for food and sleep damn it!” Helix ranted as stacked 5 ration bars and some goop onto the tray, Kote snickered
“General Kenobi would argue,” he said with a smile
“The General can kiss my shebs” Helix grumbled with some ire and Din blushed then he remembered Helix’s earlier words
“The Force can be used that way?” he asked in wonder, wishing he knew a better way to stay awake at the countless long sleepless nights he had while hunting. Helix whirled around pointing a finger in his face with a glare, scowl still present
“Forget I said anything” He declared dramatically with a long sigh. Kote was snickering in the background while Helix kept grumbling to himself. Din followed after them knowing that he won’t lose them since he could pick out Kote’s warm presence in the crowd but it felt better to keep them in sight
“I only ate enough to sustain myself because the Covert needed the rest of the credits,” He said the urge to explain himself to Kote and Helix was strong. They reached a relatively empty table and Helix pushed the tray of food towards him as soon as they sat down. He stared at the food with trepidation and Helix sighed
“There is no shortage of food here Beroya” Helix gestured to the food, chewing on a ration bar himself “So eat” Din sighed
“I can’t” He bit out after a moment of hesitation. Helix and Kote exchanged a concerned look and he got the distinct impression of Kote wanting to hug him
“Why not?” Kote asked. Din looked down shamefully at his hands, he already broke the Creed several times first to save Grogu but that was fine since foundlings came above all else. But now so many people had seen him, not just without his buy’ce but without his beskar’gam so can he even be called a Mando’ad? Who was he if not a Mandalorian? His thoughts circled around that question so he clung to the traditions that would reject him in a vain attempt to define himself
“I can’t remove the helmet,” He said, eyes still locked on his hands. He felt the spike of concern, irritation, and shock from Kote
“Who told you that?” his voice was low and angry though not directed at him still he flinched slightly
“No one. This is the Way” he echoed, the once comforting words felt wrong and hollow coming from his mouth.
“The Way?” Helix asked his voice returning to the gentle prod he used earlier when he thought he was dreaming
“The Way of the Mandalore. I can’t remove my helmet in front of any living being or I become dar’manda”
“But you didn’t have a helmet before Cody gave you his” Helix’s voice was gentle and he could feel Kote stewing next to him
“Exactly, I already broke the Creed” He couldn’t say it out loud that would make it real and he was already hollow and directionless. The Covert would certainly not accept him back now if he could even find them
“That’s bantha shit!” Kote exploded and Din’s head snapped up to him
“What?” He whispered and his voice shook in bewilderment
“You just didn’t have a helmet when you got here! What if someone removed your helmet if you got captured? What are you supposed to do then?” Kote ranted “Besides, having a helmet does not make you Mandalorian. Then the vode wouldn’t be Mando’ade” His face was red from anger, Helix nodded along a similar expression of outrage on his face and Din stared at them in shock. Anger not directed at him radiated off of the both of them. Din’s heart swelled with an unknown emotion as he looked back at his food
“I…” he was at a loss for words as Kote deflated
“I’m still not comfortable removing the helmet,” he declared after a moment of silence. His mind whirling with shock. Both of them nodded in understanding
“We understand Beroya” Helix said
“But if you ever feel comfortable enough know that we won’t judge you” Kote finished. His heart squeezed in gratitude and warmth filled him, Din ducked his head.
Kote and Helix returned to their bland meal and Din glanced around the noisy mess hall. Troopers were talking boisterously, some slapping each other on the shoulder or arm as a show of comredradie. He spotted a few not so subtly ogling him but he ignored them. They felt happy and unrestrained. So when the back of his neck prickled with the usual sense of danger Din was taken aback and whirled around a second too late. The punch landed squarely on his bucket, rattling his head for a moment. The trooper had no paint on their armor and sported a mean scowl on his face, Kote sprang up from his seat growling at the trooper
“Slick, what the hell do you think you are doing?” Slick ignored his commanding officer and only sneered at the stunned Din anger rolling off of him in waves.
“You attack our men and then you have the audacity to wear our armor!” He said with disgust. The easy going chatter around them died down to a hushed whisper as everyone stared at them. Kote walked up to Slick with a furious expression and his voice was barely restrained, hard with the promise of violence
“Stand down Sergeant” He ordered. The order fell on deaf ears as Slick glared at Kote with no fear besides the tide of righteous anger
“No sir” he ground out “Don’t you see that he’s just another nat-born pretending to like us, to be one of us” He gestured to the rest of the clones
“Ni ceta” Din apologized as he stood, wobbling slightly on his legs. Slick sneered
“Oh, now he speaks our language too.” His voice was heavy with sarcasm “What’s next? You gonna paint your armor like us too? Is stealing our language and freedom not enough for you?” Slick accused loudly venom filling his voice and being
“Stand down Sargeant! That’s an order!” Kote bellowed his voice echoing throughout the silent mess hall. Din straightened feeling the anger rise in him at the unwarranted accusations
“I am a Mando’ad and I do not steal anyone’s freedom” He declared his voice steady and sure, his earlier doubts gone for the moment.
“Yeah, right” Slick huffed and raised his hand for another punch. Kote had enough and with a swift move restrained Slick bending his arm around his back painfully. He gestured for two clones their armor painted orange and handed the seething Slick over to them
“Maybe a few hours in the brig will teach you a lesson” He nodded to the two clones who dragged Slick away who was still glowering at Din with hatred.
“Alright boy fun’s over” Kote declared to the spectators and the rest of the troopers slowly returned to their meals though the chatter was more subdued than before
Kote sank back into his seat with a tired sigh and Din followed soon after. His mind still reeling at the pure hatred Slick directed his way like he was the cause of all of his problems. But before he could ask Kote why Slick hated him so much, two clones sat at their table, one next to Kote and one next to Din. Kote sighed in irritation and glared at the two clones while Helix snickered
“Waxer, Boil, what are you doing here?” Kote asked, his voice and posture tired with all the bantha shit that happened since Din left his room. Waxer was looking at him wearily from across the table and Din tilted his head in question. Boil, appearing to not have the same hesitation looped an arm around Din’s shoulder and grinned at him. Both Din and Waxer tensed.
“So you’re the verdi’ka who beat up Waxer,” he said with a good humored smile, Din tensed his shoulders. Kote gave a long suffering sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose, and Din opened his mouth to apologize again
“If you’re here to cause trouble...” Kote began
“Oh, we’re not assholes like Slick” Waxer chuckled relaxing slightly, Boil grinned and nudged Din
“Waxer was just too scared to ask the verd’ika for a rematch,” Boil said with a sly smile. Waxer rose and hit Boil across the table his face red with embarrassment
“I’m not!” he squeaked out, Kote tried to wrangle the two brothers to calm down and Helix was outright cackling now while Din stared at the chaotic scene in confusion.
“Why?” he blurted out and the chaos around the table as they stared at him. Waxer seeming to overcome his fear looked at him
“Because you’re good and it’s nice to spar with someone new,” He said earnestly
“Hear, hear” Boil chanted as he lifted his drink. Din looked at them both finding his instincts or the Force were telling him that they weren’t lying so Din agreed with a nod
“Sweet, sparring room 5 after the mission?” Waxer said vibrating in his seat with excitement
“Calm down vod’ika” Helix chastised and Din shrugged his heart soaring at the thought of a good spar since all his recent fights had been life or death situations, it’ll be nice to let out some steam.
“Sure” he agreed with a hidden smile. Waxer cheered, Boil rolled his eyes in fondness and then they soon left after that whispering amongst themselves in excitement. Kote turned to Helix with a raised eyebrow
“You were batchmates with them right?” Helix grinned mischief entering his eyes
“Yeah Waxer and Boil were always a chaotic duo”
“Batchmates?” Din asked curiously both of them tensed and stilled, fear spiking in them for a second but then it was replaced by humor again
“Batchmates grew up together, they were usually decanted in the same batch of 5” Helix explained, Kote was still tense though
“Like brothers,” Din said
“All the clones are vode but yes in a way batchmates are closer” There was a smile in Helix’s voice and Kote seemed to shrink in on himself a haunted look crossing his eyes but before Din could ask if he was alright his comm beeped with a message. Kote grinned and stood all, his fear disappearing instantly, Din tilted his head curiously
“Come on Rex’ika will be here soon,” He said with mirth, Helix stood and Din followed. Helix tossed him a ration bar with a scowl, Din fumbled to catch it
“Don’t think I’ve forgotten that you haven’t eaten today” he grumbled and Din gulped. Instead of answering he redirected the conversation away from himself
“Rex’ika?” he asked as he followed Kote since he wasn’t told to go back to the medical room
“My vod’ika” Kote grinned “He’d love to meet you”
“Really?”
“The 501st and General Skywalker are a rowdy bunch so I’m sure you’ll fit right in,” Helix said with a grin. Din paused, stunned the jetii who took Grogu away was younger than him so he shouldn’t be here unless he was near human and aged slower. Din snapped out of his musings when he felt the presence of Kote and Helix move away, he jogged to catch up with them.
“General Skywalker?” He asked a bit winded, Helix chuckled at that
“He is one of the best Generals in the GAR besides Kenobi” he added at Kote’s mock glare
“His plans may seem reckless but he has the fewest losses in the entire army. Rex is certainly not bored under him” Kote said with a proud smile
“At least he doesn’t lose his lightsaber every other battle” Helix teased, Kote sighed in exasperation
“Don’t remind me” he grumbled, Din watched in fascination. Helix left for the medbay about halfway to the hangar. They arrived at the hangar soon after that. It was busy, the engines of the landing LAATs and shuttles deafening, hundreds of troopers all decked out in blue armor were milling about the place, chattering amongst each other and greeting the troopers with orange paint enthusiastically. Kenobi was in the middle of the action directing the troopers and the landing crafts. But before they could reach him a clone with a blue pauldron and jaig eyes painted on his helmet approached them. Kote grinned
“Rex’ika” he exclaimed and enveloped the clone in a hug, relief flowing through him, the blue clone returned the hug just as enthusiastically. Once they finished greeting each other Rex glanced behind Kote where Din was standing suspicion in his frame
“Cody who’s this?” He gestured to Din, Kote grinned
“This is Beroya. We picked him up on Aq-Vetina” Kote introduced him proudly and Rex did a double take
“Beroya? I thought you took a shiny under your wing, not a cadet” Rex said his voice filled with incredulity, and Din bristled
“He’s nat-born Rex’ika,” Cody said with a glare to challenge Rex’s protest. Alas Rex was too oblivious to notice
“Why is he here and why is he wearing our armor?” There was no disgust or contempt in his voice instead he radiated confusion as he stared at Din, Kote shrugged
“Because he needed one and General Kenobi wanted him here” Din stared at Kote with a raised eyebrow as he sensed Kenobi approaching with a man behind him. The man was so bright, like a supernova it took him a second of squinting under the helmet’s sensors to really make out his features. He was tall and imposing, growing messy brown hair and wearing black battle armor and robes.
Din staggered back as the image of the man was replayed in his head. Suddenly he wasn’t in the hangar. He was in a large temple, tall spires casting long shadows in the dark night. Everything was dark and muddy even the air was suffocating, heavy with death and tragedy. Terror sliced through him as the screams of the ade tore through the peaceful setting. Blue flashed across the dark sky before another life joined the thousands screaming in agony. The dark robed demon cut through the children with ease, his golden eyes flashing with hatred and fury.
The temple morphed around him with sickening ripples. He was clutching something important to his chest running as fast as he could. Run away. Protect. Hide. He kept chanting. The shadows around him grew, eating up the low light of the moon leaving behind nothing but cold dead darkness. Out of the darkness, the demon materialized, golden eyes dead to the world yet filled with bottomless hatred. Blue flashed across the hall and orange rose just barely to meet it. The colors clashed, their usual magnificent harmony tainted just out of tune. Blue left and with vicious force came down on the weakening orange again and again like a rabid dog. Another violent clash, the orange now sluggish waning in the darkness that surrounded them. Still, it rose to meet every single violent strike with determination. Then the blue cut through the orange with a brutal strike. It fell into two on the ground. The orange light died out with last pathetic sparks. The darkness eating it alive
Din cried out in terror.
This one is definitely @flyboytracy ‘s fault and I have no idea if it will go anywhere, but have it anyway :D
@selene-tempest There is a chance your boi may need some assistance.
-o-o-o-
“John? I know you can hear me. I need you to come down.”
If it had been anyone other than Aunt Val, John would have ignored the request. But it also coincided with an alarming lack of contact from both of his eldest brothers.
Thunderbird One and Two were onsite in the north of England, assisting in the location of a lost party in the Lakes District. Both ‘birds hadn’t been needed, but One was on the way back from a fire in Greenland so dropped in to give a hand.
Last John had heard before deploying Gordon from Tracy Island to rescue a fishing boat off New Caledonia was that the party had been found.
Virgil had made a comment about some very unhappy people, but John had been drawn to the difficulties of the storm Four was currently wrestling.
Virgil and Scott were to tie up that rescue and go to assist Gordon.
But then all telemetry from Scott and Virgil blacked out.
It was startling and John was frozen for a split second before demanding everything he could from Five’s sensors. Eos did a deep dive and found no interference.
Scott and Virgil comms and biosensors were no longer reporting.
One and Two were parked in a large field, not far from where Scott and Virgil were lost on sensors, but no camera could his brothers.
Fortunate or unfortunate, coincidence or not, Aunt Val was on her way back to London from Edinburgh at that very time and out of desperation, John asked if she could check in on his brothers.
Eos already had the elevator prepped and Five was on the move.
John was not used to not having information and all scans of the site were giving him nothing. The group of people that had been rescued were present, but no brothers.
It took all of five minutes for Aunt Val to arrive on scene. It was a strange reversion of what usually happened with the GDF. It was usually International Rescue saving the Global Defences’ day. Most certainly not the other way around.
Perhaps it wasn’t a surprise that the answers weren’t immediate and John ended up having to go down anyway.
John’s shoulders were wired so tight by the time the elevator hit packed dirt in a parking lot, he could have supported the space vehicle without the need of the nanocable, all by himself.
One and Two were iconic against the grey sky, sitting alongside a grey GDF flyer.
John stepped into gravity and sighed, forcing himself to run over to his Aunt, standing beside Thunderbird Two.
She was talking to…a giant dog.
A huge black St Bernard was sitting and glaring at her. For a moment John thought he might have to worry about an attack, but the big dog just sat there.
The moment it caught sight of John, it started whimpering is a pitiful way.
“Aunt Val?”
She looked at him with so much relief and worry, John’s heart upped another notch in the heartbeat derby.
“John, thank goodness. Your brothers need help.”
“Where are they?”
The St Bernard rumbled and whimpered more.
“I believe that is Virgil.”
“What?!” The brown eyes of the dog were ever so distraught. “How?!”
“Apparently, the people he was trying to rescue, didn’t want to be rescued and did…this.”
The next question was obvious. “Where’s Scott?”
The St Bernard shifted to one side and John realised it had been sitting on something.
There was a blur of motion and a much smaller dog, a very brown border collie dashed out from under the massive black dog and tore up dust until it leapt up, front paws hitting John in the chest and nearly knocking him over.
Startling blue eyes whimpered up at him.
John stared as he stumbled.
“Oh, hell.”
Living up to the Name pt 2
Jack calmly walked down the path that leads to Ramshackle. He just finished his jog with Vil and now on his way to pick up Valerie.
The wolf bit his lower lip at the thought of Valerie in Savanaclaw. Yes, Valerie can take care of herself, and Ruggie and Leona were protecting her too, but the tiny brunette was too lax.
Running up to a beastman whenever she sees one, asking to pet their ears or touch their tails if allowed. Which is usually yes, complimenting how soft their ears are and how fluffy or smooth their tails feel in her hands.
Unaware how their eyes flash when she touches them or how they frit their teeth when she coos how much they're enjoying it. Jack, whenever he can, would always stand near her whenever she goes up to a beastman and ask to pet their ears.
He would glare at them to make sure they behave and not say anything vulgar in front of her. But sometimes, he's almost convinced Valerie wants to be prey.
The sound of Ramshackle's gates snapped him out of his thoughts; stepping out was a familiar man wearing a fur coat. His lips were pressed into a thin line, and his brows were knitted to a frown. He carried a small bag in his left hand. The sound of footsteps caused him to turn his head.
"Ah, one of Valerie's loyal puppies." The potions professor remarked.
Ignoring the remark (and the blush on his cheeks), he questioned him.
"Good morning, professor. Why are you here at Valerie's dorm?" The man sighed heavily and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"The pup and her monster were at the lab yesterday to re-create their potion. Unfortunately, some students were playing magift and threw their disc too far and flew inside the lab. Amid the chaos, one of them dropped something in the cauldron."
Jack's ears flattened against his head, biting his lower lip. He asked one more question.
"Is she alright?"
"See for yourself." That was all the man said before leaving.
The wold made a dash to Ramshackle, worry flooding his system. Once he reached the porch, he grabbed the door handle and ripped it open. As soon as he did, a sweet and sultry scent attacked his nostrils; it had him reeling back and buckled his knees. His tail wagged wildly behind him and started to drool a little; Jack inhaled deeply, intoxicated by it.
It was almost familiar.
His body jolted when he caught Valerie's scent in the mix. Remembering why he was here in the first place, he took long-legged strides following the smell. The more he followed, the stronger the scent became to the point he had to cover his nose to not get overwhelmed. It lead him to the lounge; he peeked inside but wasn't prepared for what he saw.
Valerie sat on the couch wearing a fluffy pink bathrobe. Grim was on top of her head, which had a long pair of rabbit ears. There was the same color as her hair, and the inside was a dark shade of pink.
Valerie was caressing her ears, staring at herself wide-eyed in a mirror. While familiar was feeling the softness of her ears.
"Cute." Jack whispered.
Her ears twitched.
"Jack?" The opal-eyed girl and her monsters turned and found him peeping from where he stood. The wolf flinched at being caught but sheepishly entered the lounge.
"Hey, Val." He greeted, staring at her ears.
"Hey." She replied, noticing his stare. She chuckled.
"Like my new look?" She cutely posed, making his blush deepened.
"Y-You could say that." He rubbed the back of his neck, not meeting her eyes.
"I met professor Crewel on my way here; he explained how you got them." Valerie gave him a shaky grin. As she stood up, Grim fell off her head and grabbed the closest thing he could reach. Which was her robe and it fell down with him.
She laughed at him and picked him up. However, she had forgotten she was not alone.
Jack, who attempted to help. But got caught off guard when Valerie removed her robe to catch her monsters. No matter how many sleep-overs they had, he still blushes at her sleepwear. Seriously, this is a boy school, and she should be more careful; maybe he should ask Vil to give Valerie pajama pants.
To make matters worse, the scent she gave off amplified the moment she took off her robe. Jack was trying hard not to drool; he brought his arm up to his face to block out her smell and his vision from her. But it didn't do much.
Somebody...Please, save him.
"Oi, henchwoman. Put your robe back on; your scent is killing Jack." Grim remarked, seeing how much Jack was suffering. Valerie glanced behind her; she quickly dropped her monster on the couch and put her robe back on.
Jack took an experimental sniff and lowered his arm. The opal-eyed girl gave him an apologetic look.
"Sorry, Jack."
"It's alright."
"D-Did I smell that b-bad to you?" She stammered. She had her head down, a blush covering her face that reached the tip of her ears.
"NO!" The Ramshackle residents jumped at the wolf's heated denial. Jack, realizing what happened, coughed.
"No." He answered more calmly. "You don't. It's just overwhelming, that's all. You actually smell incredible."
Valerie smiled at him. "Thank you." Grim snickered.
"Hey, youngster. We managed to re-design your outfits for today- Oh, hey Jack." Wilbur greeted, having to phase through the room.
"Thanks, Wilbur." She turned to face Jack.
"So care to join me for breakfast before we head to Savanaclaw?
-----------------------------------------
Leona yawned loudly, not bothering to cover his mouth as he stretched his arms behind him.
The lion beastman sat on the bench, gazing at his dorm mates as they stretched. Today's training focused on speed and stamina lately; his dorm mates began to fall short on those. Truthfully they still have no idea on the training method to use. But thankfully, Leona knows the perfect herbivore to help.
"Yo, Leona. Is Jack back with Valerie?" A familiar (and semi-annoying voice) asked. Walking up to him was Ruggie, adorned in his dorm uniform like everyone else.
"Do I look like his babysitter to you?" The brunette growled.
"The hyena held his hands up in defense. "Alright, alright. Just asking."
The lion huffed and went back to observing his dorm mates. He inhaled deeply; before bursting into a coughing fit. A sweet and tantalizing scent filled his nostrils as soon as he inhaled, and it looks like he wasn't the only one. All the beastmen stopped what they're doing and stood there. Some in shock and others were trying to locate where it was coming from.
"Ughh, Leona...'Ruggie groaned. He was clutching his head in one hand and covering his nose with the other.
"This scent smells...Familiar." He muttered. The prince grunted in agreement and craned his neck to the side.
"Hi, Leona!"
And he found the source standing next to Jack and a pair of rabbit ears on her head.
Wait
What?
Leona blinked at the sight before him, wondering if he was taking a nap right now. He rubbed his eyes; before looking at Valerie.
She's still there with those ears.
What the fuck?
"What the fuck?" Ruggie voiced exact thoughts when he caught a glimpse of Valerie.
Valerie wore a standard savanaclaw uniform; with a few modifications. Unlike the rest of the uniforms, she had a low circular neckline, denim mid-thigh shorts, and black combat boots.
"Well, this is interesting." Leona chuckled.
He casually made his way to the now rabbit beastwoman and stopped in front of her. He lifted a finger and gently caressed one of her ears.
"Who would have thought calling you herbivore enough times would actually turn you into one?" He surmised, amused at the development.
Ruggie questioned on how did Valerie turn into a beastwoman. The girl glanced down at the monster in her arms, who grumbled under his breath. She gave them a brief explanation of what happened and adding that Crewel might be done with it by the end of the day.
When she finished, the two upperclassmen gave her a dead stare. Ruggie opened his mouth.
"Should have left the cat to suffer."
"Hey!" Grim tried to breathe flames in his direction, but hyena side-stepped out of the way.
"I'm alright. Seriously I feel...Weirdly energized." As if to emphasize her point, she bounced up and down; like a rabbit.
Grim, who was starting to feel dizzy with all the motion. Jumped out of arms and landed on the ground.
Without warning, she sprinted towards the field, maneuvering through beastmen. She leaped up and landed a kick to a nearby training dummy, destroying it instantly. The action caused a bubble of excitement to rise within her. She turned her attention to the rest of the training dummies and began her assault.
Left to right, she unleashed a barrage of kicks to every dummy within her line of sight, destroying them in a matter of seconds. A small crowd began to form; the boys stared at her in awe, admiration, and perhaps a tinge of fear.
Leona and Ruggie felt fear creeping up within them. They were having war flashbacks of the women back in the Afterglow Savannah. Ruggie briefly wonders if she might get along with them.
"'Oi, Ruggie." Leona spoke up. The hyena glanced beside him, noting the way his dorm leader kept his eyes on Valerie's movements.
"Yeah?"
"I figured what our training method is." He announced, walking over to the tiny girl.
Valerie delivered a roundhouse kick to the final dummy; it broke into dozens of pieces. The crowd around her cheered; none of them has ever seen anyone knock over, let alone destroy, every single dummy in a short amount of time.
"You got one helluva kick, Herbivore." A familiar lazy tone called out. At the corner of her eyes, she spotted Leona walking up to her.
He bent down to her eye level, smirking at her.
“How do you feel about a hunt?”
Second Chances: Slumber Party
Author’s note: It’s been a while, but guess who finally has some free time to write? I hope you enjoy! :)
Summary:  Roman goes on a quest for a glass of water in the middle of the night, and  finds Patton sleeping on the sofa.
Warnings: Insecurity, nightmares/intrusive thoughts, past homelessness, food mentions, white lies
Word count: 2588
Second Chances Masterpost!
Writing Masterpost!
...
Roman stretched and let out a big yawn as he walked down the hall to his room.
Today at the café had been difficult, to say the least, and he was tired, even though he’d gotten home hours ago. He hadn’t even been meant to go in today, but there had been a bit of an incident. The fridge had gone out while it was just Virgil and Thomas working, and Roman had been called in as back up. Since it couldn’t be fixed right away, they’d decided to sell everything refrigerated at a sharp discount, and once word got out, the crowd in the shop quickly became alarming. Thomas had eventually needed to tap out and go home, apparently worn out by all the chaos. So then Roman and Virgil had been left to try to sell as much of their stuff as possible before it could no longer be sold. The throng of customers was eager for cheap goodies, although some of them didn’t seem to understand why the unrefrigerated menu items that they weren’t racing against the clock to sell were still full price. Which, yeah, Roman could understand that it was strange for a cappuccino to be cheaper than an americano. But the coffee and water would have still been usable at the end of the day
He passed the other two bedrooms as he shuffled along, remembering the events of the day. From Val’s, he could hear quiet music—he’d noticed she liked to put on classic rock before she went to sleep—while from Logan’s and Patton’s, he could hear the sound of dresser drawers opening and shutting. They were probably still getting ready for bed.
Roman opened the door to his room and stepped inside, not bothering to turn on the light. He put away his toothbrush and toothpaste, toed off his socks, and crawled into bed. He reached to set an alarm, only to be struck with the happy realization that he didn’t need to, since the café would be closed the next day due to the refrigerator incident.
Smiling at the thought of getting to sleep in, Roman snuggled down into the bed and closed his eyes.
Roman rolled over and stretched, opening his eyes.
2:24, read the alarm clock.
He still had plenty of time to sleep and still get up at a socially acceptable time, but… Roman licked his lips and frowned. His mouth was a little dry.
Reluctant to leave the soft bed, but also unable to ignore his parched mouth now that he’d foolishly let himself become aware of it, Roman let out a quiet moan of complaint and sat up, pushing the blanket to the side. He got up, grabbed his socks, and padded to the door, hopping a little to pull them on as he went.
He opened the door quietly and left it slightly ajar for when he returned. The fewer noises he made, the better, in his opinion. Roman tended to be a heavy sleeper, but he knew not everyone in the house was, and he didn’t want to disturb them.
He crept down the hall and then the stairs, heading into the kitchen without turning the lights on, since there was still enough light to see. He opened a cabinet for a glass and then filled it at the sink, wincing at how loud the water seemed in the quiet of night, and doing his best to minimize the noise. He took a couple of sips of the water, then refilled what he’d drunk of the glass, and turned to go back to bed.
As he walked through the living room, he heard a quiet “mmph?” and then a shape on the couch sat up.
Roman jumped slightly in surprise, then slowed to a halt, squinting in bewilderment. “Pat?”
Patton turned around and looked at him, blinking drowsily, his hair rumpled in a bed head. “Oh… hi, Roman,” he said, sounding tired. “What’re you doing down here?”
Was he sleeping on the sofa? Roman frowned, seeing the pillows and blankets that Patton must have brought down from his and Logan’s room.
Roman held up the glass so Patton could see. “I got thirsty,” he explained.
“Oh,” said Patton. “I guess that was the sink, I heard, then.”
They looked at each other for a moment.
“Did something happen?” Roman asked hesitantly. “I mean, it’s none of my business, but… did you and Logan have a fight?”
“Huh?” Patton shook his head. “No, no, me and Lo are fine. I just….” He didn’t seem to know what to say.
Roman shifted. “Late movie night?” he offered, to give Patton an out.
Patton didn’t take it. The poor guy hated to lie. “No,” he said. He sat up a little straighter. “Uh, Logan and I just decided this would be better for tonight. We didn’t fight, it’s just… it’s complicated.”
Roman couldn’t think of many reasons why Patton would be sleeping on the sofa, if they hadn’t fought. Patton had definitely gone to bed in his and Logan’s room, so it wasn’t as if he’d just decided not to go upstairs. Roman was also pretty sure neither of them snored, so that didn’t explain it either.
Patton was looking a little flustered. “Please don’t—Logan didn’t do anything. It’s nobody’s fault, he just….”
He thought Roman would be mad at Logan, he realized.
Roman held up a hand. “Hey, like I said, it’s none of my business,” he said, carefully choosing a light tone. “I won’t pry. But, Pat… you don’t have to be on the couch. There’s the bed upstairs.”
Patton furrowed his eyebrows slightly.
“You could have woken me up,” Roman clarified. “I don’t mind.”
“What? No, Roman, that’s your room. I’m not going to steal it from you.”
Right, Roman thought. “It was your room first,” he shrugged, anyway.
It was dark, but he was pretty sure that was a fondly exasperated expression on Patton’s face. “It’s your room,” he repeated firmly.
Roman shifted again. “Okay, well… I still don’t want to make you stay on the couch.”
“You’re not making me,” Patton said, shaking his head. “I’m fine here. You should just go back to bed, okay? Don’t worry about me.”
Roman took a hesitant step towards the stairs, but continued to hover. “…I really don’t feel comfortable taking a bed while you’re on the couch,” he admitted. He honestly didn’t think he’d be able to sleep, knowing that.
Patton, who had started to lie back down, paused, and looked over at Roman, who rubbed one of his arms.
“Please take the bed?”
Patton took him in for a long moment, sat up again, and said, “Well, I don’t really feel comfortable taking the bed while you’re on the couch, either, kiddo.”
Roman sighed, looking down at his water glass. A few seconds ticked by. He took an awkward sip of water.
“…It’s a decent-sized bed in there,” Patton said finally. “I guess we could share, if you’re okay with that.”
“Wouldn’t Logan be upset?”
Patton shook his head. “No, he won’t care. It’s just a bed. And he knows I love him.”
Roman nodded slowly. “Okay, then.”
He and Patton scooped up the pillows and blankets and headed up to Roman’s room, both doing their best to be quiet on the stairs and in the hall. While Val was actually the lighter sleeper, Roman couldn’t help but notice that Patton tried even harder to be quiet when they passed Logan’s room.
“Any preference on which side I take?” Patton asked, once Roman had closed the bedroom door.
“Um… right side, maybe?” Roman suggested, since he’d been sleeping on the left side before going on his quest. He set down his glass of water on the nightstand. “But either’s fine.”
Patton nodded and put down his pillows and blankets there, arranging them before he got into the bed. Roman hesitated before also lying down.
“I’m sorry about this,” Patton said softly once they were both situated, turning so he was facing Roman.
“It’s okay,” Roman replied. “You don’t have to apologize.”
“Logan tried to take the couch, too,” Patton admitted with a little smile, his eyes already closed. He yawned. “He felt really bad. But I fought him off.”
“I knew you could take that little nerd.”
Patton’s lips twitched as he tried not to laugh. “He’s not a nerd.”
“I mean it in a good way. But also… have you met him?”
“I sure hope so, he’s my boyfriend.”
Roman laughed quietly. “Fair enough.” A beat passed. “Thanks again for giving me a ride to the café today, by the way. I think Virgil would have lost it if they’d had to wait for me to walk there. And thanks for the ride back, too. You didn’t have to do that.”
“Oh, you’re welcome. It was no bother. And Virgil seems nice.”
Roman smirked. “They can be, when they want to be.”
Patton cracked open an eyelid, smiling a little at him.
“So… want me to braid your hair?” Roman whispered. “Since we’re having a slumber party.”
Patton giggled quietly. “I would let you if it was long enough.”
“Guess you’ll have to grow it out, then. You can join the man bun trend.”
Patton sounded amused, even as sleepiness bled into his voice. “Oh, gosh, can you imagine?”
“Or Viking braids,” Roman suggested. “You could put beads in them and everything. Really go all out.”
“I don’t know if that’s really my style.”
“Maybe not.”
Patton yawned. “We could paint each other’s nails. That’s a slumber party thing.”
“I used to paint my nails in high school,” Roman shared. His nails looked rather rough, now, though. It had been a while since he even held a nail file.
“Really?”
“Yeah. Gold, usually.”
Patton’s eyes were closed again. “I think Val has some that color. She’d probably let you use it. I don’t think she wears it much.”
“Hm.” Roman would think about it.
They lay there for a few moments. Roman adjusted himself so he was lying more on his stomach than his side, and let out a small sigh.
“G’night,” Patton mumbled sleepily.
“Good night.”
When Roman woke in the morning, Patton was already gone, along with his pillows and blankets. Roman suspected his own blanket had been pulled up a little higher. There was a note on the bedside table that just read, Thanks for the slumber party  -P.
Roman glanced at the clock, and then climbed out of bed himself. He got showered and dressed, and then went downstairs.
He’d expected to have the house to himself for most of the day, since Val and Logan had work and Patton had plans, so he was surprised to see Logan at the kitchen table, a half full mug of tea in front of him.
Logan looked up as Roman approached, and for a second he froze, like a deer in headlights.
Roman smiled easily at the other man. “Hey, Logan,” he said.
Logan blinked, and there was a soft, nearly inaudible whir. Roman glanced down to see that Logan was quietly spinning a black ring on his right hand. He’d seen the other man wearing the ring, occasionally, but usually he left it alone.
“Good morning,” Logan said, looking less panicked, but still unsure.
Roman walked over to fridge and grabbed an orange. He returned to the table and started peeling it. “Got plans for today?” he asked. “I thought you had work.”
“I did,” Logan said. He stopped spinning his ring and took a drink of his tea. “I decided to stay home, today. I’m afraid I didn’t sleep well.”
“Oh. That sucks.”
Logan nodded vaguely.
Roman popped one of the orange slices in his mouth. He liked to eat fruit slowly, to make it last longer, so he could really appreciate it. It was a habit he’d started when he was homeless, but he kept it now, seeing no reason to change it.
Logan cleared his throat, sitting up a little straighter. He didn’t quite look  at Roman as he said, “Patton told me you allowed him to stay in your room last night.”
Roman paused, halfway through separating another orange slice. “I just thought it’d be more comfortable than the sofa.”
“Thank you for that.”
Roman shrugged nonchalantly. “It’s not a big deal,” he said. “I’ve stayed in shelters that were way more crowded, and Patton doesn’t snore or try to steal my things. We just made some jokes about having a slumber party.”
“…I’m not sure what explanation he offered you,” Logan said hesitantly.
Roman shrugged. “He didn’t really say. I thought maybe he fell asleep watching The Office or something, and didn’t want to wake you to go to bed. I used to do stuff like that. My mamá would get so annoyed if she found me. She’d tell me I was gonna get scoliosis and make me go to bed.” Roman did not actually believe that; but he was also pretty sure that whatever the real reason Patton had been sleeping on the sofa was not his business, if Logan didn’t want to share it.
Logan spun his ring twice, then stopped.
“I appreciate your help,” he said. “It is reassuring, to know Patton wasn’t too inconvenienced.”
“It’s no problem. I’m always down for a slumber party.”
It was clear that Logan didn’t want to say more on the subject, and Roman certainly wasn’t going to push him, but Logan cleared his throat anyway. “I suppose I owe you some explanation.”
“Not if you don’t want to. I don’t think you owe me anything,” Roman said. He popped another orange slice in his mouth.
Logan glanced at him. He raised the mug of tea to his lips, then set it down without taking a drink. “Regardless….”  He considered his next words, his face reddened lightly. “I am… occasionally prone to certain intrusive thoughts. They are unwanted, and do not reflect my own desires. They are unpleasant every time they occur, but last night’s was… especially unsettling. It… involved Patton becoming injured.”
Roman could read between the lines. “Okay.”
“My apologies if I disturbed you. I became rather upset, and unfortunately did not think to lower my volume. Val came in to check on us. I assume you decided to stay in your room, which… I appreciate.”
“I didn’t hear you, actually,” Roman said. “Guess I was pretty tired, after the coffee shop thing. And I probably stayed up too late.”
Logan looked briefly skeptical, then rather relieved to hear it. “I requested that we sleep separately, for my own anxiety. I had intended to be the one to leave, but Patton can be rather insistent.”
Roman nodded.
“I hope you do not think less of me because of this,” Logan said. “I try not to be swayed so easily by my emotions, but—”
Roman waived a hand, dismissing Logan’s justifications. “It’s fine. It’s okay to be human sometimes, you know.”
Logan tapped his fingers on his mug. A few moments passed.
“So, do you want to hear about the Great Refrigerator Disaster of the Sanders Café?” Roman asked. He’d told a condensed version of the story the night before, at dinner, and Patton had seen the chaos first hand, but Roman hadn’t told Logan all the juicy details yet, which was frankly shameful on his part.
Logan smiled despite himself, and latched onto the change in subject. “That does sound like a story I would enjoy.”
Stripper Dear 2 (One Shot) Valentino X Marie OC (Hazbin Hotel) (Yandere)
[Hello My Sexy Readers, we are here with a part two and it shows more of Val bad side. And Manipulation remember val is a rapist and no matter how much he simps he also has anger issues that does not change with a yandere he is in hell for a reason. Anyways I hope you all enjoy this chapter as well our super sexy readers]
(Marie's pov)
I roll over in the bed. It had been a week since that while fiasco. I did tell Val how I felt about how he treated others, how he treated me, and he seemed to be trying..if I was around. I have a feeling he's a douche if I'm not around. I was just happy he gave me a full week off work which left me sitting in bed, taking baths, napping, and snacking..though I'm pretty sure I've gained a pound or two, I swear they put crack in the sweets. I hear a knock as I looked up letting out a grunt as the door opened as I see Val.
"Oh hey."
"Hello hello hello, it's bright and early, and you're still in bed." He said as I looked at him.
"Mhm.. and I don't plan on leaving." I said. Of course I wasn't, since I'm staying at Val's and his beds are..god they are so comfortable.
"You know I've been thinking it's been a while.." he said smiling as I knew what he was talking about.
"Has it now?" I asked as I smirked.
"sorry, no time. I've got work."
"Wha- I'm the owner, I say you don't have work."
"Mm..I Think the shift manager and my rent say otherwise." I said smirking as I got up. "Then what was that about not leaving?" "Oh I meant I'm not leaving this room unless necessary." I said as he placed his hands on his chest.
"Oh I see, now you see me as your personal bank card. Is that it?" I look at him and smile. "Mhm, yeah." I said as I ducked under his arms as I can hear him walking after me as I smirk. I don't actually have work it's just fun to see him get desperate.
(oh god Marie did a 180. I mean to be fair if you could manipulate a powerful demon Lord into being the one desperate for you, you'd probably do the same and besides it's harmless teasing.
(She so would so would I XD)
"Well I want you o move in with me." He said suddenly and I stopped looking up at him.
"Huh?"
"You heard me, I mean you been hear a week in my mansion and I have grown accustomed to you being here and I don't want you to work as a stripper no more." He says crossing his four arms. "I don't like the idea of other demons looking at you when naked."
"What would I do then?"
He smirked. "I could think of a few things in our free time~" He purrs. "But a job you actually want to do, want to be a baker bake want to design clothes do that. I want you happy as long as other demons keep there eyes off you."
(as long as you dont make this yandere angry he is good but your cross a line and he punish you for his darling only sees that soft loving side unlike anyone else.)
I looked at him as I then smiled and sighed. "Val..and here I was trying to surprise you that I didn't actually have work." I said as I smiled.
"But I can't just not work, getting a job could take a while, I don't want to be out of work and just doing nothing." I said as he looked at me.
"You know.. I should be mad at you for lying.. but I've come to learn you like to play around, but I'm serious. Move in."
"..do I get a choice?"
"Yes. Either say yes or say yes." He said.
I looked at him and then sighed, smiling. Yes he was not giving me a choice but it was because he loves me and wants me close. But I was worried about living off of him I did not want to do that.
"Val..I don't want to live here and not contribute, I don't know if I can get another job."
"I don't care hell you can bake and use me as a model for clothes while you wait but just thinking about that those demons do." I could see he was getting jealous and I smile.
"Val.. they normally behave.. well except for one guy when I went to grab my bag yesterday." I said holding down a smirk.
"What? What happened"
"oh nothing much, just..a handsome demon came over to me..told me how good I looked.."
He grabbed me and pinned me to the wall kissing me savagely I learned fast he was the jealous and possessive type. I kissed back.
"Don't make me fire you." He growled.
I smile. "I know you would never do that, but... I will leave my job but your going to be a co owner of my bakery mr. money bags. You know how good I can bake so it won't be long until demons are flooding in. But..." I say and press my foot on his clothed cock as he had me face level with him. "I think I should earn that money from you don't you~"
He smirked at that tossing me over his shoulder and taking me to his bedroom. I mean he gave me my own room so I could adjust but I did sleep with him every night regardless just lounge in the other bed instead of his during the day.
I won't lie sex was actually still scary in fact all of this, was just from videos I found, but some of it also came from I saw him with some other girls, and they just seemed so attractive. He brought me to the room, putting me down and quickly locking the door as I sat on the edge of the bed, smiling at him as I felt both scared and excited, I mean last time was so nice.
"Mm, so, like last time?" I asked smiling, however he smirked.
"Not at all like last time~" he said as he closed the blinds. What did he mean?
"I won't lie to you I have kinks. Some very kinky kinks. And I am also a man with very high sex drive. So today we are going to push boundaries. I will be rough demanding and in charge. But I will give after care in which I reassure you on how much I love you and make sure your okay this is not to punish or hurt you. It can feel good your safety word if you truly want me to stop is toothpaste. If you say that I will do my best to stop and take care of you. Is anything off the table at the moment?" He asks towering over me.
I was stunned I heard of bdsm before. So I had an idea of where we wanted to go. "Not something to painful.... like no whips or nipple glamps..." I say blushing at the thought
"I know this is just a taste of what we will do~ not going to through you in the deep end." He says. "Strip for me~ now."
I stood up, smiling at him as I pulled off my sweater, then pulling my shirt, making sure to pull it off slowly and then my bra, letting my breasts be free, stoping for just a second to push them together as he smelled as I pulled off my skirt, letting it drop to reveal that I was in fact, not wearing underwear. Every article I took off, I made sure to make it a show. He smirked and pushed me back on the bed. Pulling his pants off along with his clothes. I bit my lip as he cock sprang free.
"Time to put that mouth to work~" He says and I nod first taking him in my hand and then stroking him slowly to get him fully hard. I then start licking up and down his cock and he moans his fist clenching. I could tell even though he took control he was letting me get comfortable enough with the taste.
He was good when he wanted to be. It was difficult, but I got a rhythm as I licked up and down, putting the tip in my mouth before pulling away to once more as I run my tongue across his shaft. I could tell he was getting antsy so I take half his cock in my mouth and almost gag it was so much. He gripped my hair and started to fuck my mouth but was careful to not go to far down my throat. I sucked and made sure he felt just as good swallowing around his thick meat. I knew I wouldn't really be able to take all of it immediately, but I could tell he was loving it.. and I was happy about it. I let out a choked moan as I let him take the lead, my hands stroking what wasn't in my mouth,gagging occasionally but neither of us pulled away.
I was soaking the bed spread with how wet I was. He was close I could feel him twitching in my mouth but he pulled out and came all over my face. I gasp and cough slightly for air and some of his kids got in my mouth. I pant as I catch my breath. That..was actually really fun.. and based on his face, he wasn't done. He lifts me up and pins me to the bed before hand cuffing me to it. I gasp as he does so then he smirked at me and I shudder.
"w-w-what are you planning to do?" I asked, I was a little nervous.
"I am going to fuck you senseless and your not going to be able to stop me." He says and then lines up with me and I do everything to relax for the penetration.
Yet I felt excitement at those words... and he noticed. "my oh my, look at how wet you are."
I lets his tongue roll out and I did not realize how long it could get he barely had to get close to my woman hood to lick my pussy and I cried out. God that tongue of his~~
"Oh god~ Oh yes~" I moan
He chuckles and smirks.
I thrust up into his mouth. "P-Please! Pl-Please~!"
He smirked more and shoved his tongue in. My eyes roll into the back of my head as I moan thrusting my hips more as I feel his tongue hitting inside of me. I groaned as he worked it in deeper filling me to the brim with his tongue
I pant as I could feel every small movement, my hands turning to fists as I dig my nails into my palms as I moan. God...I mean of this was what Val was like..I can't imagine Stolas..oh that's...that's kind of hot.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY!" He snarled ripping his tongue out of me.
Shit I never seen him like this. Stolas was one of my regulars and he was even taller than Val. I did not mean to make him angry but I knew I crossed a line accidentally saying that out loud.
"i-I-I didn't- I-I didn't mean him! Val.." I said even having to try and shrink back, the tone in his voice..
"Val look at me, I didn't mean he w-was hot. I didn't mean him-Val please you're scaring me wh-when you look at me like that.." I whimper.
He pins me to the bed. "You are mine!" He says leaving bruises. "I Never EVER Want you to want another man or woman! You belong to me I loved you first and I am not loosing you!"
I nodded and started to cry and that is when his grip soften. "Oh baby I did not mean to scare, I just hate that you were thinking of another man when I was making love to you.... Or were you trying to make me jealous you minx~"
(Eddie that you? XD)
I look at him. I really wasn't, in fact if anything, I was trying to say Stolas would be too big for me... Val was ..also too big for me but, it wasn't too uncomfortable.. but I think, the best thing to do is play along though I was still to scared to speak as I could only nod.
"Well then I will just have to remind you how much I adore you and that you are mine and I will always only want you~"He says and starts to suck on my neck.
I moaned he knew what spots to hit to make me wet. I have to remember he loves me and I did think of another man while we were making love.
(Valentino's POV)
(Yeah he is a simp but you make him angry you better hope you can pull off making him jealous. Other wise. He will punish you and not in the fun way That is the type of yandere he is)
I graze my teeth over her neck as she would shudder, I could feel the goosebumps on her thigh. "i-I really am sorry..I-It sounded much more like a joke in m-my head.. I'm sorry..boss." she apologized through her moans.
(I mean you bruised her, without her consent dude, that ain't rough play, that's you hurting her.)
(Yeah dude you might be hot but you are toxic.)
"I am not your boss, I am your boy friend and lover, please call me Val." I say and kiss her bruised shoulders.
She looked at me. "O-Okay..V-Val." she said softly as I smile. "Now, I am sorry about bruising you..I wouldn't ever want to mark your skin..at least not n anger." I said as she looked at me. "N-No it's okay, I-I understand why you did it..why don't you let me make up for it?" She asked as I smirk.
"As hot as that is..."I said kissing her. "I think I need to make sure you know not to ever bring another man or woman up again~" I said as I flipped her over on her stomach as she couldn't really get up because of the handcuffs as I angle and thrust in as she cried out. Though..there's something that's so lovely seeing her face in such an intimate moment, doing this position is hot~ besides it really is a more dominating position than having her ride me.
"I won't take you anally not yet, that is saved for some other time. But I am going to be rough, just remember the safety work~" I say and start to thrust into her she cries out but moans soon.
After my five decades of sex all the time I found how to pleasure a woman or man or non binary person with ease. Being Pansexual also helped.
I'd know of she was in pain, that's why I stopped grabbing her. She managed to move her arms so that despite being handcuffed she could grab the headboard as she moaned from under me
I smirked she was such a naughty little slut trying to tease me. I continue to fuck her senseless she came two more times on my cock and I came once as well only to start up again she was a panting mess shaking on my cock.
"Val please~! HARDER~!" She begs.I smirk at that, this was the first genuine beg for me to go harder on her. "Oh I don't know....I think we've had quote enough fun." I tease pulling out. Course I wouldn't actually say no bit she looked at me shocked before she spread her legs, and continued to do so until she was in a full side split...
I stared at her shocked my cock becoming aching hard.
I.. I didn't know she was actually flexible..
"Well~? Aren't you going to keep going?" She asked."or...maybe you want to have my legs over my shoulders~?
I was in shock but did not waist another second. I had her pinned down and Started to fuck her senseless once more. I broke the hand cuffs and flip her over wrapping my arms around her.
She moaned loudly as she wrapped her arms around me, embracing me tightly as we both got lost in the moment. We both came together and I fell next to her.
“I love you Marie! So damn much!” I pant out
(and that's when she knew... she fucked up)
(XD Never sleep with a yandere life lessons not ones like Val at the very least XD)
She panted as she looked at me. "I-I.. yeah.." I look at her as I laugh. "Oh come on, you're not that tired that you can't think of anything else.".
She then smiled. "I love you too val.." she said. Man.. she must really be tired, I don't blame her. I grab her and pull her closer, her back presses against me as I lay my head down and close my eyes. I think a nap..is well deserved.
I am not going to loose her especially not to that bastard stolas.
[YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS And SNIFF SNIFF Do we smell another a sequel the answer is yassss we are going to show how This with Val is not a healthy relationship and how with someone like Stolas is more healthy I mean a relationship with a demon is still not so good. But it is better than Val. Anyways We hope you all enjoyed and stay sexy our friends!]
