the only thing I have to add to the BuckTommy of it all is that, yes, Evan is his name, but it’s just ODD for Tommy to call him that for the duration of the relationship.

I didn’t mind Tommy, I didn’t mind BuckTommy, it was never my endgame but I enjoyed seeing Buck in a relationship with a man. I did think it was weird that Tommy called him Evan and here’s why.

from a personal standpoint, I am an Allison who goes by Ali with 99% of people. I don’t really mind people calling me Allison, it’s just ODD, especially in a context where Buck would have likely introduced himself AS Buck to Tommy, or maybe as “I’m Evan, but I go by Buck.” This indicates Buck’s preference.

The people in my life (similar to Buck!) who call me by my full legal name (my dad, my grandparents, some aunts and uncles) call me that bc that’s how they were “introduced” to me. This doesn’t mean they don’t know me, but they know me in a different way than other people.

What I’m saying is this: I introduce myself to friends and potential romantic partners as Ali. While they usually learn that my legal name is Allison, it would be very odd if they started calling me that. Not negative, understand, just weird. None of my friends call me Allison, and none of my romantic partners have called me Allison, and if they did, it would read as “you don’t know me at all” so I think it was an interesting choice for Tommy’s character to call Buck “Evan,” even though, yes, technically, that’s his name.

I’m happy to hear other thoughts but if you’re mean I’m blocking you bc I am literally just here for a good time.
