I'm fearing for my happiness" bc Leaf getting dragged along with Ash Shenanigans and straying from the plan means Lance may be TICKED with her and kick her out and cue lots of insecure "oh. he deactivated my card. im fired fr..." and Lance going "actually no, I did that to protect your identity in case we had a data breach. which we did." and his Serious Walk Talk about how "*insert lots of names* would be if so and so didn't step in"* and that's why he kept her and mild 😅 over how "in some ways, you are like me" but also be better. and then the symbolism of her backing away until she stood at the tip of his shadow. and also just how much Lance keeps reading into her schemes and actions and Leaf being annoyed by it but also when she finally gets a sneaky ;) "I did wonder if he ~ could ~ call a draw. checkmate I win ;D" to drop the pieces so the Indigo title gets split in half. like THAT IS MY LEAF. also when Unova Guy Dad told Lance "is she your student or your child" and "do not make the same mistake as I did with you" like HELLO??? and Lance on the plane learning she got hurt and just leaning an arm against the plane and all the Champions in the room are like "yo?? that's sm emotion from him..." meanwhile fandom is like "god forbid women be complex, or let teenage girls have confusing feelings to work through and be children" I gotta do everything myself around here le sigh. and that wonderful OP who wrote that fic of course. sorry I dunno if you'll even read all this but I had to blab.

Well i guess a silver lining about losing most of my taste and smell from covid is im eating the snacks i didnt care for the taste of so i’m not wasting them lol

after thinking about veilguard some more, i come to a conclusion that the plot really would have worked if there was one more game between trespasser and veilguard, with a huge time-skip

like in the hypothetical game you work to stop solas, as was the plan with project joplin, and the player works closely with what remains of the inquisition. the game would have ended with you imprisoning solas in the fade, but unbeknownst to the protagonist, he becomes blighted. end game

veilguard would then take place many years later, maybe even a century or so, to resolve the issue of most dropped plot points and lore inconsistencies from previous games. the plot would still revolve around stopping the blighted gods who escaped the prison beyond the veil as it weakened (maybe tie the venatori into it by having them weaken the veil?), but now you have a wild card that is blighted solas in the equation as well. he helps you stop elgar'nan and ghila'nain but he is still blighted, so what are his goals? the side plots and companions would remain largely the same, as would the ending. the blight is gone once and for all and thedas is finally at peace.

I stayed up later than usual last night, slept in until noon, and already want to go back to bed lmao

was cutting some strawberries kinda on autopilot and thought I finished so I rinsed the knife and set it aside but then I was like ah fuck I missed one. So I go back for where I thought I left the knife on the sink but then I was like ??? I don't think either of these is the knife I was using. And had vague memories of opening the cabinet under the sink to throw away strawberry tops but I had also mysteriously done that right before I put the knife down maybe ?????

So out loud I was like "wait. Wait. Did I actually just. There's no way" me opening the cabinet again and poking around in the trash "there's no fucking way I did that hold on what" bc there's NO WAY I just threw a metal knife in the garbage RIGHT???????

But I didn't find a knife in there so. I figured it probably was one of the knives already on the sink edge and just re-rinsed the one I thought might be it to cut my final strawberry

Still it was a wild minute where I genuinely couldn't tell if my exhausted dumbass brain decided that throwing away my knife was the correct course of action lmao
