Real life

Moving to Monaco had always been your dream. Living in the beautiful country right on the water, starting a new life in such a peaceful place and being able to follow your dreams.

It had been your dream ever since you were a little girl.

However, moving to Monaco was in itself very pricey. It hadn’t been easy, gathering the money you needed to lead a relatively comfortable lifestyle in the exclusivist country, but you had managed to do so.

And now, you now had to step up a bit until things got going for you.

And you figured that working at the local coffee shop was the best solution. At least just until you got settled in your new home country and your career kicked in.

You knew that Monaco was the home to a lot of athletes, especially Formula 1 drivers, but you didn't really expect to meet any of them. Monaco was not really as small of a place as people thought, you wouldn't just run into an F1 driver in the street that casually.

No, you run into them at coffee shops.

You had been minding your own business one day, thankful that it was still early and people were not yet coming for coffee. But then the entrance bell rang, and your eyes met the most beautiful man you had ever laid eyes on.

The one and only, Lando Norris.

You didn't want to seem like an obsessed fan, so you tried to keep your excitement at bay the best you could.

"Hello" he greeted when he approached the counter, that famous smirk adorning his features.

"Hi. What can I get you?" you asked sweetly, praying to God that he wouldn't notice the furious blush on your cheeks.

"I'll just have a cappuccino, love" he asked, giving you a dazzling smile.

You blushed even more and nodded, getting to work on his drink.

He didn't say anything else for a second, he just watched and admired your movements as you effortlessly prepared his coffee.

"I haven't seen you around here before, and trust me. I would have remembered a face as beautiful as yours" Lando suddenly asked, leaning forward against the counter.

You almost did a double take, not wanting to get your hopes up. Was he actually flirting with you? Were you just dreaming?

You cleared your throat before you answered, which made Lando smile even more cockily.

"I just moved here a couple of days ago, got a job with a modelling agency and figured I would work for some extra money until the modelling gigs kick in" you explained, looking at his from the corner of your eye to see his wide eyes when you mentioned being a model.

"With a face as beautiful as yours, figured you were a model of some sort. Nobody would pass on someone as pretty as you"

You blushed again, thankful that the shop was almost empty and people couldn't see you falling apart just from talking to the man.

"Do you flirt with every barista you meet, Mr. Norris?" you teased, pouring the drink into a to-go cup.

"Just the insanely pretty ones"

You chuckled and shook your head, taking the sharpie in your hand to write his name on the cup. As soon as you wrote his name, your hand moved on its own, scribbling your phone number underneath and the message 'call me <3' next to it.

Biting your lip, you gave him the drink with a smile, biding your goodbyes.

"I'll see you around, Y/N" he said, looking at your name tag.

"Okay" was all you could say, your mind too fuzzy to come up with a better response.

He turned around just before he exited the cafe, winking at you before departing.

Much to your disappointment, a couple of days had gone by without a single text from the driver.

You hadn't thought much of it, way too busy with unpacking and such to even think about your encounter. It was our friend who kept asking you about it, going out of her mind when you mentioned you had given your number to an F1 driver.

"Y/N, come here, you left me all alone" Samantha, your friend, called out for you from the living room.

You sighed, unwillingly getting out of your very comfortable position on your bed and walked into the living room.

Not even paying attention to what Samantha was doing, you fell on the couch face first, your sore limbs tired from the short walk from the bedroom to the living room.

"I was very comfortable in bed, thank you very much" you mumbled, but Samantha paid you no mind.

She knew how grumpy you got in the evenings, so she had learned to ignore your comments in such instances.

"Has he texted you yet?" she asked, making you glare at her.

"I don't know how many times you've already asked me that and how many times I've given you the exact same answer. No, he hasn't" you grumbled, hiding your face in your pillow.

Samantha hummed, casting a sneaky glance to her phone.

"But like what exactly happened?" she pressed, making you sigh.

"It's not that interesting of a story. He came in the coffee shop, ordered a drink, we flirted a little and then I wrote my number on his cup" you explained once again, and unbeknownst to you, your fans were going wild over the information they had just heard.

Samantha almost wanted to laugh when she saw the dozens of comments flooding in, calling Lando the "mysterious café boy" that hadn't texted you.

"If I were him, I would have texted you the minute I walked out" she defended, making you sigh.

"But you're not him. There are numerous reasons that could explain why he hasn't texted me, he's a busy guy, Samantha" you defended, getting up from the couch to head back to your bedroom, so done with the conversation.

Samantha waited until the door was closed before switching her attention back to her phone.

"And there you go, ladies and gentlemen. Our girl is finally finding love" she giggled, clapping her hands.

If only Lando would have the courage to make the first step.

You had always been a fan of Formula 1, you got that from your father. He would always bring you with him to races when you were younger, and his love and admiration was passed onto you from a very young age.

However, you hadn't attended a race in a while, you hadn't had the opportunity or the time to go to one.

Until now.

McLaren had contacted you a couple of days before the Silverstone Grand Prix, inviting you as their VIP guest for the weekend. And who were you to refuse a weekend with the team of the guy you were crushing on?

That's how you found yourself walking towards the McLaren hospitality, bag clutched tightly in your hand as you approached the brightly papaya colored building.

Sighing with a smile on your face, you had just put your hand on the handle when the door opened from the inside and Lando stepped out, stopping in his tracks when he saw you in front of him.

The both of you froze, not knowing how to react. The first one to break the tension was Lando, who smiled at you widely.

"Hey, Y/N. Long time no see" he said, making you chuckle and nod.

"Yeah"

He nodded, and silence settled for a split second between the two of you before he spoke up.

"Look, I'm sorry I didn't text you. I saw your number, even saved it in my phone and was meaning to say something. I was just too nervous to screw things up, cause I really like you" he confessed, making your heartbeat quicken significantly.

Your eyes widened, and relief finally settled into your troubled mind. There had been so many thoughts and theories in your head about why he hadn't contacted you. Maybe you had misread the situation, maybe he wasn't interested, maybe he didn't see your number written next to his name, countless possibilities had been swirling around in your head.

But now, you were finally content. He was just nervous, bless his heart. If you were being fair, you would have been way too nervous to contact him if the roles had been reversed.

"Don't worry, it's okay" you reassured him, which made Lando feel better.

"I want to make it up to you. How about dinner tonight? My treat, I'll show you around the city" he suggested, his eyes full of hope.

You couldn't possibly deny him, so you found yourself nodding.

"Great" he smiled and leaned in to plant a kiss on your cheek before departing towards the garage.

You bit your lip, trying to suppress a smile.

He hadn't forgotten you after all.

you dont love him.

if you had known when you went to go return to see your mother in high garden you would return to this you would not have gone at all. or maybe not even chosen to return.

Aegon crowned and war on the horizon you had no clue what was going on, just quickly rushed into the keep and presented before the court. The worst news came quickly, your son had been murdered the night before you had returned. You could only stand in horror with silent tears cascading down your face as you watch your husband yell at every council man in the room for the death of his son and he did not even spare you a word as he walked out of the room.

You went to helaenas room who offered you her bed to lay on and a hand on your back as you sobbed into her pillow. you did not know what to do. You son is gone. your only son. Your only child. and now you were lost. You should go see him, even if he did not want to see you even if you did not really want to see him. You had to atleast speak to him about this.

So you went and walked your way slowly to his room. When you went to open the door you jumped back as alicent walked out. She was staring at you, you can feel the shame and guilt in her veins seeping over her eyes. she looks back at the closed door then looks at you, opening her mouth as if she wished to say something. but she doesnt merely speed walking away from you without a word as tears ran down her face.

You almost wished to chase after her. you did not ever truly get along with her well but you could tell shes taking this news badly, probably worse than you are. yet you open the door and walk into the room you see your husband trembling with sobs at his desk. the room was a mess, clothes, glass and all other sorts of stuff strewing about the room.

You stand frozen as you watch him. You and your husband are certainly not close by any means. You do your marital duty and stay apart from each other. but right now he needs you yet you have no clue how to go about this. You slowly walk over and place a hand on his shoulder he slowly cranes his head up to look at you and he stares at you as some shaky breaths leave him.

You place your hand out and he grabs it, letting you to pull him to the bed where he quickly crawls on top of you and presses his face against your chest as he cries. “ill kill them.” you shush him and rub his back. “my son, my legacy.” you ignore the fact he does not say he was your son, our son. but you say nothing. You know he is more hurt over his pride than the actual life lost though you doubt he knows that himself.

“im with child.” He freezes and his head shoots up to look at you. “what?” you look off to the side and stare out the window as the sun rises. “i was feeling sick in highgarden and went to the maesters, they say i am with child. A little over two moons they say.”

He says nothing for awhile but you can feel his stare on your face. You let your curiosity get the better of you and turn to look at him. He is staring at you in wonder. Like a newborn looks up at its mother. “you lie.” he does not want to believe you. “i do not. i planned to tell you on my arrival but obviously we were preoccupied.”

This is normally the moment where he would kiss you, tell you how overjoyed he was and how amazing you were. But he does not say anything but you can feel his grip on you tighten. “you will not go anywhere without atleast two guards presence, you are not permitted to leave the keep under any circumstances.” You are sure this is his way of expressing himself to you, he wants you safe no matter what. he grips your face and peers down at you, “do you understand?” you nod and slap his hands off your face.

He looks like a kicked puppy You understand him, his worries and doubts. you let him lay against you, him listening to your heartbeat. He falls asleep youre sure he is to be woken up soon to go take his seat at the council. Based on the bags under his eyes this is probably the first time he is sleeping in awhile so when a maid walks in you shoo her away and whisper youll deal with the consequences of it.

you do not love him. but you can see him. and that’s enough for him.

This fic was WRITTEN FOR ME because of how much I pestered my friend Luiza about Carolijah and this will forever feel like a trophy to my heart. 🥰 It made me feel ALL THE FEELINGS. I hated Caroline, I loved Caroline, I loved my baby Elijah, I hated him, I also hated Klaus (he's such a fucking asshole omfg), but then the end was just DHAGHDDASAS!! You think you're in for a certain kind of story and it turns out to be so much more. It is, deep down, about the brothers, how selfish they are, how they can hurt each other more than anyone, but how they love one another above anything else, even when they want to kill each other (and fall in love with their brother's girl!!!). It's beautiful, like everything Luiza writes, and it genuinely made me cry.

I saw a discussion the other day about how whoever wrote this fic JUST GOT IT, and I have to say I completely agree with the person who made that comment. Luiza just NAILS Caroline's grief and loneliness after her mother's death, how isolating and gut-wrenching it is. Klaus being the person who finds her, who knows exactly what to say without her ever having to spell it out, the one who can truly see her, is so honest too. This fic is sensitive and absolutely beautiful. Luiza's writing is perfection and this is for sure one of my all-time favorites.

This story reimagines the plot with the "villains" of TO S3 in a way that proves my point that the premise of that season was good, but execution was absolute crap. All of the potential the De Martels had to be incredible antagonists was completely destroyed at the hands of the show writers - but explored to perfection by Laine's much more capable hands. Klaus is freed after 10 years in captivity to find that Caroline had been working with Tristan this whole time in order to take him down - except something is not quite right about that. While you're at it, please read all of Laine's fics! It's a delight.

I wept when I read this because it's the post-TO canon fic I didn't even know I needed. Caroline's search for a way to stop her twins' merger ends up leading her to someone who's been watching over her on the Other Side. 😭 I thought I'd always rather live in denial when it came to how TO ended, but this fic made my heart so full! Also, jinxedwood's use of fae mythology here was incredible.

This story is HOT. It taught me things about the werewolf AU universe I was not prepared to learn, but I am a much happier person after reading it. It's a canon mates AU that will leave you 🥵🥵🥵🥵 I speak as though the story was merely about the smut, but it's actually much more than that. A TVD S3 reimagine of sorts that is incredibly satisfying. That's my favorite season of TVD, but this is still even better.

Anyone who's known me for a some time knows how this fic was my entire personality for a while there. I'm obsessed with Kelly's writing, and I have this fic on a freaking pedestal. I first started reading it when it was on a six years hiatus, and I was *so* into it I didn't even bother me that it might never get updated because it was so good I was just happy I'd found it. But then my silly comments inspired Kelly to come back to it, finish it, and it has honestly been my greatest accomplishment as a part of this fandom because this is a masterpiece. It's a TVD/Supernatural crossover where Caroline is a step-sister to the Superbros. It's truly, truly epic, with beautiful writing. This could genuinely be a show. It's amazing, just read it.

This, right here, is the perfect Klaroline-within-canon story. This is the story that put my revolt to rest and gave my spirit some much deserved peace where those two are concerned. This is exactly what canon should've been like. I'm not even joking, this is IT. If you'd asked me what I thought the perfect Klaroline development should be like I probably would've said something very vague because I couldn’t explain it, I’m not that great or creative a writer, but now I can just show you this story and let you bask in the amazingness of a fantastic read that will not only keep you thoroughly entertained, but will also be the answer to all the questions you didn't even know you had.

When i grow up, I want to learn how to write like Borzoi. All of their fics are incredible novella-like reads. It's addictive. And this is probably my favorite (it varies though, sometimes I'm in a Parisian Deal era). What happens after Klaus and Caroline sleep together in 5x11, and how they eventually find their way back to each other. It's just one of those stories that you can't stop reading after you start. It's so rich, so deep, so perfectly IC. One of those fics to end all fics.

. The Stubborn Grace of Being Loved Regardless by @helpless-in-sleep One of the modern day classics, if you will. This fic is such a stunning, vivid and delicate picture of Caroline's mind as she was dealing with the consequences of the abuse she suffered at the hands of Damon. She's still human, but she's probably more IC than we've seen her ever on the show when it comes to this. The bond she forms with Klaus is truly incredible too, and speaks a lot of how the two of them really do have a lot in common (even with Caroline still as a human), but it's really the Caroline study part of the story that touches me. The writing is absolutely beautiful as well.

This story is a punch to your stomach, but it is PERFECTION in 8k words. It's hot, it's bittersweet, it's SO in character and, in my head, I kinda like to pretend that this is what happened before Caroline married Stefan. lol

. Wanderlust by @bellemorte180 Anybody who was a part of fandom around the time this story was being published can tell you how much of an EVENT it was. There were discussion groups about the mystery. It was so entertaining. Erica's attention to detail and how she wove the little clues throughout the chapters made this a genuine thriller. I particularly some of the side-characters here. It's honestly another fandom staple I think everyone should read.

This was recced to me by two friends recently and I started reading it a while back and thought it was incredible! I have sadly been awful with keeping up with stuff, but just based on the raving reviews and the five chapters I read, I fully believe it to be just as awesome as it seems to be. The writing was so good, and I was just in love with Klaus' voice in this story. It was so reminescent of early-days TVD Klaus, which is by far my favorite Klaus of all. Sexy and dangerous and so smooth. I loved it! Need to get back to it.

Listen, if you like kid fics, this is absolutely for you. The whole story is narrated by an eight-year-old OC, the daughter of Ray Sutton, the first werewolf Klaus kills when he's trying to start his mass-production of hybrids. She's a little wolf herself, and a while little thing who was subjected to her fair share of child trauma. Klaus has no idea what to do with her, but ends up taking her with him as continues on his journey, and ends up forging a bond with the little girl. I cannot tell you how delicious this story is. It has Klaroline, yes, but for me the little girl is the absolute star of the company. I usually hate OCs, especially children, in fics, but this one is AMAZING. Seriously. The way this story is written is glorious. I can't recommend it enough.

Sebastian felt the guilt and anger building up now that he felt sober, there were battling it out in his gut. He felt guilty about his intentions behind the potion, but at the same time he still felt angry that that was what it took. Angry at himself for not being more forward and angry at you for the same.

Your legs were relaxed around him as he layed on top of you, you forced him to look at you, "What is it Sebastian?" Your voice was soft and tired.

He sucked in his bottom lip and had a hard time making eye contact, "The potion. I - I crafted it for you and got too wasted and drank it myself."

In your post-sex brain it took you a few moments to process what it was he had just said. You felt the wind get knocked out of you and you felt completely betrayed. You let him make you vulnerable and it was all basically a lie.

You sat up quickly, shoving him off of you and clutching the bed sheets to your chest, not caring that his cum was getting all over it.

"No, Y/N, wait," he grabbed your first as you attempted to get away, but he tugged you to keep you in place.

"I still - I still wanted this. I know you did too. Merlin, you come here every day and it's all I can do not to ravish you. You walk across town like that every morning for me." You could see the arousal returning to his face. He was all pupils and flushed cheeks.

You tore your arm from his grip and stood up with tears dampening your eyes, "Then why didn't you ever? Why use some stupid position, trying to take advantage like that? I am a person Sebastian. In case you haven't noticed I'm the only one you've had for a long time."

Your voice was bitter as you left the room to scavenge for a new set of clothing and clean up the mess that you were. You couldn't decide if you were mad, hurt, scared, or all of the above. The saddest part was it's not like you couldn't have guesses the whole thing was a setup on his part. And you just stupidly fell right for it.

You collected yourself in a hurry and rushed out back to where you lodged with Sirona. You didn't want to think about Sebastian or be near him or talk about any of it.

You woke up the next morning after having spent a long day battling with yourself over what had happened. At this point you honestly hoped things would shift back to the normal they had been, where he's just busy drinking and leaving you alone. If you were being honest, that probably started the second that you left and he wouldn't even remember what happened.

So, you decided to approach the day like normal. You did take a second look at the reflection of yourself in your mirror before stepping out though. He is still a man, not an animal, he had seen other women in his life in sleeping clothes and not acted like it was anything to blush at.

Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on who asked, Sebastian had layed in his bed for the rest of the day without a drop of alcohol. He felt like he was losing his mind because he couldn't stop thinking about you. He felt like a 13 year old boy again, rubbing one out every hour as images of you flashed through his mind. But the images were certainly not as innocent as they used to be.

You seemed so upset with him, but you weren't complaining at all as he dragged you around the house, tearing through your clothes and ravaging your body. You weren't the innocent player you thought yourself to be and he refused to accept it.

You said to him that he should have made a move and just been up front from the start, so that's what he was going to do. He was going to unleash his deepest, darkest desires on you.

He slept restlessly that night with his new plan in mind unable to focus on anything else. He had never craved someone in the way he craved you and after having had a taste with you, he was ruined without you.

He knew Sirona always let you stay at her home she kept here and it wasn't hard to find. It was always possible to find out someone's business here if you wanted to.

He rose early in the morning, probably way earlier than he'd been awake in months if not years. He knew you always came to him just before the sun started coming up so that it would be light by the time you did make it.

Everything in Feldcroft was spread out and people liked their space. Sebastian's home was located on a reasonable little plot of land that offered privacy with the wild shrubbery and trees taking root wherever they pleased.

He decided that he would wait for you in a private spot at the front of the property. He had taken to cleaning himself up and putting on simple thin night clothes just so nobody found him wandering around indecent if they were snooping.

An old oak with a thick base was where he waited for you, it was just private enough for his dirty thoughts.

You were sleepy walking up to the familiar scene before you and that's how you got taken off guard. A hand came down over your mouth and you had no time to react before being carried off with someone pressed against your backside.

Last year on my break I did alot of concept art of my Sonic Dimensions AU characters. My brother was telling me for the longest time to give the characters new designs to make them look different but I was too lazy to do it back then, so I finally decided to take a crack at it since my Au has a small timeskip they shouldhave different looks since its a new era for them. Also thinking of the overall theme what im going for the comic. I remember how long it too me to do Sonic's design cause I wanted his look to me be similar to his current one. I wanted to make his shoes look really cool and detailed along with his gloves. I was looking at all these cool runner shoes for him. God knows I'm regretting it cause they are difficult to draw, especially if I gotta keep drawing it in the comic too🥲 but I love how they look so I'm keeping it for now I just gotta practice it alittle more. Maybe i might give him another pair of shoes in the future but we'll see. Lol

Anyways the first drawing was me practicing some hatch techniques making it look more like a manga. I want my comic to be colored but i really like the manga black/white look. it's been a while :) i know i only drop by here to answer asks (if ever i get any in the first place) but i still think i owe everyone a proper explanation—especially when i've been making promises to myself when it comes to returning.

don't worry, i won't leave! and as you all may know, i'm usually semi-inactive in the first place because of my forever hectic personal life. even when i'm not that so busy with academics, my days are still filled with agendas due to extra curriculars, events, gatherings, etc. and it honestly has played a huge role as to why i haven't been able to focus on writing in the first place. i'm not really a person who stays at home most of the time whenever i'm in such a busy mood.

but surprise, surprise! life has its own way to make the tables turn for me. not only did my workload finally decrease, my... lovelife has flourished as well :) <3 maybe that's also another reason why i don't feel like writing that much anymore—it's because i finally found someone to fill up my heart even more. (i know love exists because i am full of it—we all deserve it.)

i won't really go into that much detail about how or when since i want to keep things private LMAO. but rest assured he makes me happier than ever. :') and i don't really want for it to seem that our relationship is what caused me to lose motivation in writing (though i have to admit, it has probably played a part i guess). it's really because of me not finding the proper time to sit down and actually focus on it in one sitting. 🥲

rest assured that i will still continue my smaus. i'm still going to finish the shs universe and the other smaus that i plan on making. you could consider this as me taking a proper break and properly addressing it. i have no idea when i'll actually be back but you'll probably just see me post a new episode of love maybe on a random thursday or something HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I do not know if it was you, or another blogger that made a character analysis of Gojo that made me like the character and discover more about him through the manga.

While I never read the manga before or watched the anime, I had been exposed to it by my friends and some BNHA bloggers. Back then, I found Gojo to be overhyped (discount Kakashi) while liking the animation(?) style, bit still no interest.

BNHA and its Endeavour Redemption arc in the doing was tiring me to the point that I stopped reading it and manga altogether. For mayne six months or so, until now, at least. I randomly found your blog last week , and it got me a new hyper fixation 😃. You got me to start reading JJK (Megan cos playing also helps).

I bought Number 0 and Number 1 of the mangas. Only to remember midway in Number 0 that Walmart Kakashi will be snapped in two like a Kit Kat🥲. I saw that leak in one of the BNHA blogs, and I didn't mind it back then since I wasn't in the fandom, but Lord, now it sucks.

...as for the sad news, I kind of "retired" from writing. Don't get me wrong- I do love writing the fic, A LOT, however, I'm not sure if it would be a "smart move" for me to do since I know I'm bound to get busier and busier. Additionally, not a lot of people in this world are Lumine-Dainsleif simps like you and I (hahahuhuhuhu...) so I feel like I'm just talking to a void when writing these sorts of things. My friends and I often make jokes about how my least effort writings are the ones that get more traction than the ones I research and pour my blood, sweat, and tears on. A Fanfic Update

Hey guys, I thought I should give you an update about what's going on Ongoing-WIPs-wise just in case you've had some worries.

The short of it is that the writing juices haven't flowed well for a while now and I'm trying to get them back but it is a struggle. I've worked a bit on this fic or other but haven't made significant progress in a few months. I absolutely hope that will change soon but I unfortunately can't force it. It doesn't help that I'm going through some stuff IRL right now that I have to take care of (I am unfortunately an adult who has to do adulting and pay bills and shit 🥲). I try not to be too stressed out about it, but the more time passes the more the anxiety sets in. Wish me luck. 💪🏻

Anyway, here's a fic-by-fic overview, split up by fandom.

THE UNTAMED

The Angsty SongXue Fic — I'll be honest, I've written a little bit since I last updated you guys but I still haven't finished the buffer chapter (at this point I'm thinking about posting chapter 51 even though 52 isn't done yet), so nothing really new here. I really want to get back into a writing flow but so far it hasn't really worked. I am still working on it, though, so don't worry, I'm not going to drop it.

The It Follows AU — I'm ashamed to say I didn't even realize I posted that fic almost two years ago and I still haven't written the second half. I'm so sorry it's taking so long! I definitely still want to finish it! I might rewatch the It Follows movie before I do that, though.

The Observer Series — Oh yeah, remember that smutfic series I started a few years ago of which I've only posted part 1 so far? Yeah, I still need to work on that. I did write chapter 1 of part 2 a while ago, so it's not like it's forgotten, I just need to get my ass up and write the rest of part 2 before I can post it. 🙈

The Color Rush AU — Okay, technically I haven't posted that one yet but I did share a snippet along with a gifset a few years ago, so you guys know it exists. I haven't worked on it in a long time, though, and I don't know yet when I will find the spoons to continue writing it but I'm still intrigued by the premise and want to give it a go. Thank you for your patience!

The Somewhat Sweet, Somewhat Angsty XuanXian Fic — Again, haven't posted that one yet but I've been posting about it, so you guys know it exists. Nothing new on this front. I did want to rewrite the whole thing because I wasn't really happy with the way I wrote it thus far, so I'll probably go back to it at some point and do that, I just don't know when yet.

The Xie'er Deserves the World Fic — Listen, guys, I love this fic so much, I just haven't worked on it in a while. I'll probably re-read what I've written so far and go on from there, I've just been struggling with the latest chapter ever since I started writing it years ago. It's not dropped, though, I will get back to it! Pinky swear!

SAILOR MOON

I've mentioned here and there that I'm working on part 1 of an epic that is based on a doujinshi I started when I was 13 or 14. Unlike my other WIPs, this one really is 100% self-indulgent to the point where I don't even care whether people will read/like it once I post it when it's completely done. I'll just put it out there to make my teenage self happy because this story has been simmering in my head for over 20 years, and so that my IRL friends can read it if they want to. So, this one will be a long way out, but it exists. I'm only really mentioning it because I've mentioned it a couple of times before and because it's the fic that's been on my mind the most lately.

STAR WARS

You didn't think I forgot about TROBS, did you????? I did work on several beginnings of a draft during NaNoWriMo last year and I'm getting more and more of a clear picture of how I want it to go. For those unfamiliar, TROBS (or The Rise of Ben Skywalker, though I already changed the name of the fic again) is my attempt at an Episode IX fix-it fic that essentially replaces TROS. This one has been simmering in my head since early 2020 and I really want to get it out of there and onto the page for catharsis. I've even held off on reading any other TROS fix-its because of it, even though I've heard there are some really amazing ones out there (and I can't wait to read them once I've gotten my own out of my damn head). I really need to finally finish that beast. Wish me luck. 🥲

and the way the (most) enha writers romanticise the term 'aesthetic' so much like using small texts, aesthetic pictures and aesthetic layouts. its like so hard to find their about me or rules or masterlist 😭😭 like why do they use small text, i cant see shit.

i wonder who started like having aesthetic blogs and made new writers create like that. its so burdensome to do something here and you get criticism of how your blog should be.

and these enha writers– i never saw them appreciating enhypen, be it about jay's whodunit solo and going to glay's concert and performing and nor did they appreciate sunghoon on becoming hince's new ambassador.

i am not saying it's necessary as a fan but atleast during the bare minimum for them. and the amount of smut content i see on tumblr about enhypen is 😠 so much. everything they do, people here sexualize them.

i still remember when i first came on tumblr, 2021?? the 01 and 02z werent even 20 istg, i see smut about them everywhere and now wonie is 20, and they be like "lets goo!! he's 20" and im afraid for riki these day.

i just dont want these stupid people and standards to become popular. wherever i see, its smut, suggestive content written by minors and those small text and aesthetic layouts.

Okay so I was looking through my notes on ideas I have for my GX rewrites because I've been kinda wanting to get back to that since I haven't worked on that in like... FOREVER 🥲 and I found some gold!!!

Okay so! I hadn't looked at this in a while but I remembered everything as soon as I found it in the doc and I'm gonna rework it from what I originally had so I'll get into that instead! So in season 2 there's the whole fiasco in Domino right???? Well that's happening pretty much the way it happened UNTIL they go to Kaiba Land to rescue Syrus and Hassleberry.

So in my version Jaden, Aster, Bastion, Grandpa, AND Atticus all go to Kaiba Land rather than Atticus staying behind because what's even with that? More Atticus erasure that's what 🙄 and Grandpa stays outside still because they're like "it could be dangerous" and all that, but the four kids go inside and we still go into the virtual space BUTTTTTTTTT instead of just a weird virtual void they actually have to go through a whole virtual fantasy adventure world A LA the Legendary Heroes episodes at the end of DM season 1 since it's the same tech and the same system, but it's not the same world. This ones a whole new one that Sarina created to test Jaden and Aster to discover who the chosen duelist is, so they have to undergo a trial!

And they all get fun fantasy costumes because why tf not aksksk

The trial is two-fold: first, they have to rescue Syrus and Hassleberry who are imprisoned at undisclosed locations somewhere in the word, then to escape they finally duel Sarina where she'll determine who the chosen duelist is!

So they get into the virtual world and have this explained to them by Sarina, who appears to them in a vision or whatever you want to call it kinda how she appears to Jaden through the like mirror shit at the end of episode 77 directly preceeding this stuff. So Sarina appears and explains the trial and shows them vaguely where Syrus and Hassleberry are being kept. Jaden, Atticus, and Bastion are pissed about their friends being kidnapped and held hostage for this mess but Aster doesn't really care, he just wants to prove he's the chosen duelist and not Jaden. But during the visions she's showing them, it's revealed that Syrus and Hassleberry are each being guarded by none other than Chazz and Alexis!

Sarina reveals that to pass the first test, they'll have to each defeat one of them to rescue their friends and make it to the final test of challenging her, which they'll have to do together as a tag match. Sarina departs and the boys decide that because Jaden and Aster each have to win against Chazz or Alexis, they should split up and take them both down at once. Jaden's going after Syrus, so he'll be going to duel Chazz rival match obviously because we didn't have nearly enough of those lol, which leaves Aster to go challenge Alexis for Hassleberry also Aster and Alexis were supposed to duel at the beginningof the season then Jaden came back and ended up dueling in her place but I want to see that match up it would've been sick. But nobody's going on their own so they use the buddy system, and Atticus is torn because he wants to be there for both duels. He wants to help everybody, and if they can manage to break Chazz and Alexis free too that would be super helpful and he wants to save them both more than anything.... but he can't leave his sister, so he joins Aster while Bastion joins Jaden and they go their separate ways.

When Aster and Atticus arrive at their location, they find Hassleberry locked up but as they expected, Alexis stands in the way, resolute and stone cold. All of Hassleberry’s attempts to get through to her haven't been successful in the slightest, so he's a little down plus he's caged like an animal because he's part dinosaur and the Society is mean 😭 so he's stuck and has to wait to be rescued which sucks and he's worried about Syrus as much as he won't admit it even though they're cool at this point. Even Atticus can't seem to rouse her as she doesn't react to him when they arrive, but he's determined to get through to her somehow!

The duel begins and it's a hard fought battle, Aster and Alexis are both excellent duelists and Alexis's deck is souped up with all the cards she got from Sartorius which isn't helpful. But during the duel, Alexis almost seems to falter as her life points decrease, and the sound of Atticus's voice seems to affect her. Atticus keeps calling out to her, and once her life points reach zero and she assumes the traditional 'I-just-lost-a-card-game' stance on her hands and knees, Hassleberry’s is freed and Atticus runs to his sister! He drops to his knees beside her and she looks up at him, her eyes unclouded and normal, looking into his. They share a brief reunion, but it can't last long. Sarina is in control of this world and Alexis hasn't been fully broken from the Light of Destruction, but Atticus has caused her true self to be able to reach through. She warns them that she won't be able to stay like this for much longer and tells them about Sartorius's ambitions to drown the world in Light and Atticus promises her he'll save her once they get back to the real world. But not before Alexis tells him that if they want to stop Sartorius, Atticus will have to stay safe because he's darkness, he can combat the Light and Sartorius will want him gone so he can't ruin his plans. They'll also have to save Chazz. He's Satrorius's most powerful duelist, they can't let him keep him but his hold on Chazz is strong, it won't be easy to set him free. Atticus swears they'll rescue him too, and Alexis is going to warn him of some other dangers Hassleberry being immune to the Light putting him in danger as well and obviously Jaden but before she can say anything else, Sarina whisks her away and she's back under the control of the Light.

Atticus is understandably upset but also fired up! Aster is admittedly concerned about what's going on, not that he'll admit it, and the three duelists head off towards Sarina where they can meet back up with the others!

Smash cut to Jaden and Bastion, who arrive at their location to find Syrus imprisoned and guarded by Chazz, who's eyes are starting to lose their life, which is a very bad sign. Jaden tries to talk some sense into Chazz with Bastion joining in as well, but when their words can't reach him, Jaden and Chazz proceed to duel! Jaden’s convinced he'll be able to rescue Chazz as well as Syrus if he wins the duel, but unlike with Alexis, nothing makes Chazz waver in the slightest. If anything, it's almost as if the Light's hold on Chazz gets stronger as his life points decrease... it's a very difficult duel, but Jaden comes out on top and is able to rescue Syrus! Chazz falls to his hands and knees and Jaden makes a move to go to him, but Sarina whisks him away before Jaden can have another chance to get through to him. She can't lose her brother's prized duelist, after all. They're all bothered by this of course and Jaden resolves to rescue Chazz when they get back, and Alexis too! He and Bastion make sure Syrus is alright and they had off towards Sarina to challenge her and get back home!

That's as far as I've got with this part, I think it's a SICK idea !!! I originally had Atticus go with Jaden because you KNOW I wanted him there for the Chazz duel to try and reach out to Chazz hehehehe but I like this way better and it's just better narratively. Since she duels and brings him back in my Shadowrider arc, I like the idea of him dueling and bringing her back during the Society of Light arc, plus I know we both agree he should've had more involvement in the arc in general much less breaking her free from the Light, and I like the idea of this encounter planting the seeds in his mind that he'll actually be able to do it that leads him to be the one to duel and ultinately free her later. And I always thought it was kinda lame that all the Domino stuff happened and was building up something then all it was was a duel in a virtual void and for some reason Hassleberry and Syrus were a dinosaur and a car? I dunno I just think that whole situation was underwhelming and I'm sad about it so here we are akaksk and like since they're doing a virtual thing at fucking Kaiba Land why not go through another fantasy adventure world??? Hehehehehe I need to develope the Chazz and Jaden duel a little more I've clearly thought more about Aster and Alexis's duel because of Atticus and Alexis but shhhhhhhhh it's fiiiiine akksksks

Rye: I'm not sure that pre-disposed is the best word? I'm not more likely to evolve into a Jolteon than any of the other evolutions. Though if I did evolve into one, I'd probably be stronger than if I evolved into anything else. I suppose that's what happens when you have a father who comes from a bloodline of countless generations of Jolteon before him.

Rye: I'm not sure if I'd want to evolve into a Jolteon myself though. I don't know that it fits. Not sure what does though. I actually have been playing with the idea of becoming an Umbreon, funnily enough.

Rye: And I'd assume my spikes would transfer over, whatever I choose. After all, they show up while l'm an Eevee!

Rye: Oh, we take regular Poké! Though obviously you can't really buy anything from the bakery while you're at the sleepover. There is a plate of some of my mom's baked goods somewhere in this tower if you're interested in trying some before you get a chance to buy anything. Think of it as a sample!

Rye: And Dravena does get some of the leftovers, though my family actually eats the majority of what doesn't get sold. Mom bakes Dravena a lot of stuff fresh.

Had my orientation for my new job yesterday and I'm still so excited!! I spent a year studying there 11 years ago (👵) so it's fun to go back, but it's definitely also gonna be a little weird first. Both of the two teachers who taught me there will be absent this semester (unless the other one returns from her maternity leave after Christmas, but that's not set in stone yet), although I'm meeting the other for another orientation tomorrow, which I'm excited about because she's probably my favourite teacher ever and she's just so great and said such nice things about my writing skills 😭 so it's a shame I won't get to work with her nor the other English teacher (the one on maternity leave), so it's just me and the Swedish teacher (who will also be my supervisor), and my memories of her are...not quite as pleasant 🥲

the Swedish teacher: so you were here 11 years ago? that means that was my first year teaching here! me: oh yes, I remember it was your first year! :) the Swedish teacher: oh god, I must have been a total dummy back then! 😄 me, thinking of how she had accused me of not having written my Swedish essay myself: 🙂

lol obviously I'm not bitter about that anymore and I also sort of understand why she thought I had not written it myself (somehow talking Swedish in Swedish class is not the same as writing an essay in Swedish in the safety of your home), and she did apologize afterwards, assumably having brought this up with the English teachers and being told there's no way I would've done that, and yesterday she was suuuuuuuuper nice and helpful , so I'm sure we'll get along just fine 😌

...I know I just said I'm excited, but I haven't really done any planning for the courses or anything concrete at all, so if you see me crying about life next week, assume it's because I've realised how horribly incompetent I am for the job 🙂👍

Today I was on godmother duty with my niece (10½ months) and y'all should be SO proud of me from protecting her from the evil, baby-eating spider that was climbing on her carriage 😪 It was a dramatic and somewhat traumatic encounter with life-threatening wildlife, especially when the spider wouldn't hop off the carriage when I swept it with a twig the first time, but together we made through it (the niece was sleeping the entire time)

Speaking of wildlife, I saw a little stoat running on the parking lot of my building this morning 🥺 I hope it he had a safe journey to wherever it was hopping...

Seeing BC on Saturday (yes, again 🥰) and I'm so excited because 1) aaaaaaaaa what if they play the new song, I know it's not officially out until next week but come ooooon it's the last show of the summer tour and the last show in Finland until god knows when (😭) and they also played Don't Fix Me at shows last summer before they officially released the song so idk about you guys but I for one am totally getting my hopes up 🤞, and 2) aaaaaaaaa gonna see so many of my beloved BC mutuals, it's gonna be a grand ol' reunion again!! 🥺💕 however, I have zero idea about when/how I'm gonna get there (it takes ~4 hours to travel to the venue from where I live, and amazingly the train ain't much more quicker than the bus 🙂) or when/how I'm gonna be leaving back home again because I still haven't decided whether or not I should stay the night somewhere (I don't want to miss any potential after-show hangouts, but I also really love sleeping the night in my own bed lol), so if this issue would somehow just solve itself that would be great thanks ✌️
