a very small, tiny, itty bitty detail i love to see in other peoples drawings of the Losers, especially as adults or young adults even, is what kind of fashion is given to them
like its almost a given that everyones Richie has some weird collection of shitty t-shirts with some nerd thing attached to it. Or brightly colored button ups with polka dots and stripes.
Eddie seems to stump everyone because i've seen him from everything to sweaters, to expensive formal wear, to neon rainbow tank tops. Personally i always saw that guy, with his bright pink and blue polo shirts and simple plain tees, as just a mixed bag of beans. He still dresses like mommy picked out clothes that she thinks would look super handsome on him, with his little stiff gelled combed hair to match. But he rarely, probably has anything that has actual words or icons on his shirts. Maybe a national park sweater here and there, that guy probably loooves gift shops. I think now with his big boy money he'll stray away from his usual get up, splurge a little, buy something branded, something new and expensive. Also something stupid, like shoes that are way too expensive. He's a fake sneakerhead, only really investing in brands he THINKS are cool or trendy. Not that he cares too much about being trendy and cool, like Richie probably does. Just...gets an ear worm sometimes, whispering to him about how they aren't that bad looking, and that he's buying it for himself, not because some jackass on tv wore them. Maybe a shiny new watch too, and maybe even a band shirt for pj-only purposes. Otherwise he's pretty strict on his expenses and just buys what fits and works as a shirt, pants, etc. Comfort over design, squarish in appearance, boxy and casually professional. I don't see him wearing a suit outside of work or waltzing into his nearest cheap cafƩ with a confident blazer and matching ironed pants. I doubt that guy even owns an iron, probably forgot to even buy one after mummy-kins passed. Even after she screeched and raved about it too, and he just ignored her tangents, assuming it wasn't even that important, all while his shirts became crinklier and sadder much like him. Sometimes i see people make him almost tooooo strict and formal and buttoned up, to y'know match Richies more casual and stoner-dork like style that's sometimes assigned to him. But Eddie, to me, is always a business casual kinda guy. Like, paid business trip to a golf course casual. Throwing on what's comfortable, giving a healthy amount of thought to what people might think of you. You will NOT find this man dressed to the nines at home, but he does, in fact, have a little pocket protector on his stupid shirt. With a pen or pencil thrown in just to make use of it, an old candy wrapper he forgot about and WILL get washed with it, or a few crumbs from his earlier microwaved breakfast burrito he had to scarf down before Myra had something to say about its ""toxic"" ingredients.
His clothes probably vary in size by a very small margin. Knowing a ball park guess of his pants and shirt sizes, always forgetting to add in it going through the washer, or how a size 30 is a size 31 in Canada or whatever. Probably because he was so used to mummy buying everything for him, even into his early 20s in college. Now he's free from her suffocating grasp, he still copies her sense of fashion and rarely does anything outlandish or fashionable. I think later down the line, in the cannon he survives and goes off to live a happily ever after with Richie, that he'd begin to explore a bit more. Getting that sugar baby money helps, and he'd have to try and buck up with Richie, trying to copy him slightly in terms of fashion.
He's a bland man Sarah, a BLAND man!

Okay okay okay everyone be cool.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! ITāS SANJIāS TURN!!! I think my bias really shines through by the fact that there are four illustrations rather than my usual three. Not to mentionā¦ this isnāt even half of the busts that Iāve drawn and also none of these are post-timeskip. I need to make a whoooole other character sheet for post-timeskip Sanji. She changes a lot in two years.
But I digress, here are my design notes for Sanji: (WARNING includes discussion of Sanjiās journey during the timeskip. There are also some super duper minor vague spoilers for whole cake island but those are written in blue so you can skip over them easily.)
So personality wise, I wanted to keep a lot of her complex relationship with femininity and gender. She grew up under the care of super butch Zeff who taught her that being a girl doesnāt mean that you have to be girly; in fact, itās probably best if you toughen up so you can protect people who need it. Sanji takes this to heart and becomes a total tomboy, she believes that sheās rejected her feminine side completely.
Sheās also a diehard romantic!! Sheās the dashing prince who has come to save every damsel she comes across. She finds it very easy to flirt with women because it was very much the modus operandi on the Baratie, but sheās all talk. She gets flustered very easily once any romantic endeavor starts to bear fruit. Sheāll make some poignant revelations about why once she lives in the Kamabakka Kingdom.
So why isnāt she wearing a suit? Because Iām a whore for an apron. Itās the perfect way to establish the silhouette of a dress but maintain a clean, utilitarian appearance. Fem!Sanji is more line-cook than waitress, but she DOES wear menswear pieces. Iāve put her in a silk vest with flared slacks in one outfit and sheās sporting that cute tie from Long Ring Long Land in another. Very preppy. I think she mostly wears tidier versions of Sanjiās more casual outfits: patterned button ups, cargo shorts, tees. She is religious about keeping her nails clean and manicured though. As fussy as canon Sanji is about his suits? Fem!Sanji is tenfold more fussy about her nails. She never wears polish (it could chip into the food) but her digits are trimmed perfectly and buffed to a shine.āØ
She has a birthmark(?) at the nape of her neck that isnāt a scar but doesnāt tan. No oneās ever noticed it before because she was pretty good about staying inside when she lived on the Baratie but, now that sheās out adventuring on a much smaller ship, she finds herself basking in the sun more often and the mark is becoming more defined. She would be mortified to know it was there, especially since it doesnāt show up on the four other people who have similar marks because their skin cells are invulnerable to UV. (Inspired by @themetalhiro )
I love Sanji so so so so so so much. This design is likeā¦ 50% what I wish I looked like, 49% what I think is hot, and 1% forced-feminized transponder snail. Iāll have so much more to say about her characterization when I post the next version. Let me know your thoughts in the replies!!

My Adventures with Superman EP 4: Design Works
My goodness it feels so strange to see these designs two years later but I actually had a hand in Clark, Lois and Jimmyās gala suits in episode 4 of My Adventures with Superman!
This happened WAY back in Sept 2021 but during my first week on the show I jokingly sent a piece of art to one of the design leads and well, one thing led to another:
This is kind of running gag with my work, but I somehow always predict things when I draw fanart haha. I truly didnāt know there was gonna be a gala episode and now I was tasked to do a pass for the main trioās gala outfits.
CLARK KENT
Naturally since it started with Clark, he was the first one I did a pass on. I actually really like menās suits design so this was the most fun to design out of the three. Overall, I drafted up four different suits that gave 4 different feels for our soft boi. Option A was a full 3 piece with slick backed hair (which honestly now feels very Bruce Wayne than Clark haha). Option B had a high school prom feel, Option C was more business casual (hence why his dress shirt was unbuttoned at top) and finally Option D was sleek turtleneck & suit combo. Honestly, I was rooting Option DĀ ācause Iām a sucker for a turtleneck but if IĀ remember correct they went with Option B ācause it felt the most Clark. But just know I tried haha.
LOIS LANE
Loisās outfit was quite challenging since I had no clue until I was given the assignment that sheās Korean (yes, Lois is canonically Korean in the show). I remember the design leads Jane Bak and Dou Hong showing me a rough concept of a modern hanbok. I spent so many days researching hanboks and the construction behind them...it truly was a learning experience for me haha. It was quite challenging trying to create and outfit that spoke to Loisā heritage while still keeping her energy. This was my very first pass but I think ultimately the team did a great job to hone in the final look and balance both elements for her outfit (the backless top is just chefās kiss). Also yes, I did try giving Lois slick back hair haha.
JIMMY OLSEN
There isnāt much to say about Jimmyās outfit (sadly I left the production to work on Spiderman Freshman Year before seeing what they decided on). But from what I remember, I specifically was looking at menās outfits from the Met Gala from that year and before (I think Chadwick Boseman was the biggest influence for me at the time). Though I think his final suit design arenāt like too far off from my initial thoughts, itās still super cool to see how it evolved into the final look!Ā But yeah! Just a little behind the scenes on the work I got to do on the show. Again, super brief since Spidey was calling my name but I truly had so much fun getting to design for this show. MAWS was my first ever time doing design work (since I primarily work as a 2D animator and board artist). I was so nervous but the team was welcoming and taught me so much! I really have to thank Dou Hong and Jake Wyatt for taking a chance on me and allowing me to draw hot anime characters for a DC show haha.

Part 1 of the unifications.
Hey remember when I said I was planning to change some of the names when they were truly egregious? This is what I meant.
So we have (from left to right) Dragonfly, Viper Noir, Shadow Moth (they still call him Hawkmoth), and Ladybee.
Dragon-bug was a stupid name, I know they were saving Lady Dragon for Shanghai but that doesn't mean we give up all together guys. Dragonfly just makes more sense.
I know I'm not the first to say that the Ladybug Dragon unification was great. It's actually one of my favorites. It showed off how good the Ladybug, and by extension Marinette, could look if the artist put a tad more effort into her suit. I definitely deviated pretty far here, push the dragon elements, like giving her two horns. The big ones on the side of her head and the little ones that attach to her antennae. The boots, and tail elements which were super fun to draw. And finally drawing Mari with her hair down because it looked cool.
Viper Noir just to add a bit more spice to Snake Noir's name. I almost called him Black Mamba but wasn't entirely sold. So that's that. I didn't give Aspik or Viperion a hood because I was saving it for this, much more Chat's style than Aspik was. The cat ears on the hood were a pain to make look right but turned out cute. And now they both have gold accent's! look how matchy they are.
I am forever on the fence about if I like Shadow Moth's design but I can't really begrudge the name? It's alright- it certainly feels very Gabriel, a man who has a track record of bad naming skills. I figure most still call him Hawkmoth though. I actually designed both Shadow Moth and Hawkmoth at the same time, so the plan was to always add Peacok feathers to the head and the double tailcoat. I almost based him on an actual peacock butterfly but changed my mind.
Just know that the additional feathers are just as painful as the butterfly wings. And now there is more! Hooray! Hawkmoth suffers!
And Lady Bee, this one felt easier than I expected because I already had Honey Bee. I might go back and fix her eyes though, theyāre a bit uncanny rn.
(Bonus)
Blue Dragonfly to go with Ry-blu-ko

Vaggie Redesign! (1/7)
Welcome to my new quest of redesigning the entire main 7 Hazbin cast! First on the chopping block is Vaggie who I will be addressing as Evangeline/Van for the rest of this post.
Iāve designed a good 100+ characters in my lifetime so I think I can manage a decent moth lady.
First thing, she was supposed to be a moth. Why not keep her as a moth. Vivziepop is a coward. Second but much more important, she is not grey anymore!!!!! All colours I used were picked from this wonderful little Gaudy Sphinx moth so everyone thank you Gaudy Sphinx moth!
For her scars, she didnāt have nearly enough to begin with. What even is this.
She deserves som recognition for yknow. Killing people. And yes I know she has that whole thing where she thought Angelās couldnāt be injured but these are from Lute when her eye got ripped out so! Checkmate. The X is supposed to resemble Lute marking her for death so sinners could notice it and then probably torture Van because betrayal yknow. The scar colours and placement on her neck are supposed to resemble angel blood and also the swoopy things exorcists have on their necks but imagine they got more like. Burnt into her skin. Also itās not immediately recognizable as angel marks cause theyre moth colours anyway!
Her hair looking like wings was a cool idea though Iāll give them that. Obviously she canāt fly with her hair but itās the silhouette that counts. Oh and her short hair was cuter so I just mixed them
Also her colours were ugly!! I love myself a good black and redāi mean who doesnātābut we know of hazbins little addiction to that colour palette and why would I use just black and red when I can divulge into insanity and refrence @bluehazardanonymousās colour wheel again!!!!!!!!
YAAAAAYYY!!!!!! I think the greenish red suits her a lot with her protective nature and honestly probably a little bit of envy from heaven stuff. Justified of course because genuine why is heaven like that. Also the reds are definitely red but theyre a little subdued so she doesnāt come off as incredibly angry and all that. Plus red can look very elegant and I think she deserves that. As for her dress I tried to keep it inspired based off the traditional dress of El Salvador while still using colours picked from the moth.
I also really wanted to include the lace from these dresses because it is genuinely beautiful but unfortunately my lace pattern was too big and got smushed when I tried to use it so the most I can do is show it of separatelyš
The blue also is a much cooler colour of course so it gives that little bit of approachability to her character. I am latino and I think I can safely say for every other latino/latina person the spicy latino character archetype is stupid and she needs more depth than that. Give us more Charlie and Van being sweet and having Charlie pull her weight instead of just standing off to the side crying all the time.
Hopefully you all enjoy the new design, I am working on a certain ssomebody next š and I intend to get it out soon (hopefully)
I am not Salvadoran and I am not super familiar with the culture there so if I messed up anything with her dress and whatnot please donāt be afraid to call me out on it so I can improve in the future. Thank you!

š style analysis: nana komatsu / hachi (NANA)Ā
āāEDIT 10/9/24: i've moved to @ph7soy, where i'll be posting all my original content from now on įØąø
welcome to the first entry in my style analysis series- where i take a different fictional character for each entry and take a look at their fashion sense, as an exploration on how fashion plays a role in forming a character's personality & overall identity. in other words, it's a deep dive into the intersection of story & style. today we're starting off with nana komatsu (who we'll be affectionately referring to as hachi from here on out) from NANA, my favourite character from my favourite manga of all time.
NANA is a manga very near and dear to my heart. i could spend all day talking about why, but i'd say one of the biggest reasons is for how ai yazawa (the creator of NANA) uses fashion as a means of storytelling. in NANA, clothes are not just a typical character design element, but are instead a visual narrative tool used to convey a characters' personality, as well as to express their traits and feelings. today i've chosen hachi for the style analysis because i'm fascinated by the subtle changes to her style syncing with her character development over the course of the story. also, i think her style is just super cute. so let's get into it! (ā anime & manga spoilers ahead)
š
overview
if i only had one word to describe hachi's style, i'd say feminine- think frills and lace details. she's all about babydoll silhouettes, pleated skirts, knit cardigans, ballet flats, and generally embodying shoujo fashion from the early 2000s with a good balance of cute and classy. hachi's fashion sensibilities lean more towards the modest side, as her dresses and skirts are usually around midi-length, and mini skirts are often paired with extra layers like tights or leggings underneath. it's a very good girl chic look, which fittingly leans in to her innocent personality. hachi is very stylish and clearly puts a lot of thought into picking her outfits everyday, as she's not afraid to occasionally experiment with different styles every & to use fashion as a key means of expressing herself.
in terms of colour palettes, hachi's wardrobe has a bit of everything- warm hues, earth tones, soft pastels, which all work together to capture the warmth and sweetness of her character. she's definitely more attuned to light colours than dark. this suits her personality better too, as light coloured clothing is said to convey feelings of friendship, fun, compassion, and approachability. fabric-wise, hachi likes to keep it light and airy with materials like chiffon and tulle; switching to warmer fabrics like cashmere and wool for cold weather, giving her outfits a vintage feel.
we can see that hachi pulls fashion inspiration from various aesthetics and fashion trends across different decades. she definitely incorporates her love for vintage fashion in her style, particularly with elements we've seen her wear before like mod dresses, neckerchiefs, pearl necklaces, long fleece trim coats, and brown platform boots. you can also see it in how some of the pieces she wears feels so unique, like a surprise gem you would find in a vintage boutique while thrifting. in dressier looks, hachi's girlish charm and allure is slightly reminiscient of 1960s it girls, like twiggy and sharon tate. she draws from a lot of 60s-inspired elements- the romantic parisienne style, and a bit of vintage preppy chic.
scarves and bandanas are a vintage essential as well as one of hachi's signature accessories. they have tons of versatile styling options, plus the potential to be dressed up or down. we've seen her wearing one scarf (exhibit A) multiple times over the series. the babushka scarf version has to be my favourite, it's very hepburn-esque, who i 100% i could picture hachi having a poster of in her childhood bedroom. i also think that having characters re-wear pieces we've seen before is generally just a cool subtle styling detail, which adds to the realism of NANA's 10/10 worldbuilding. the scarf's many appearances styled in different ways also goes to show how hachi enjoys being creative with her outfits, loves the pieces she owns and wants to get as much use out of them as possible.
hachi's style also incorporates a touch of influence from the kawaii lolita subculture, particularly modern offshoots like larme-kei. lolita is french rococco-inspired with a focus on cuteness, and has its origins in early 2000s harajuku street style- which is also where mori/kogyaru fashion originates from; hachi's go-to style during her high school years (see: her modified school uniform, miniskirts, fuzzy legwarmers). both of these movements were heavily pioneered by j-fashion magazines of the time like FRUITS, Olive, Larme & CUTiE, which were mainly popular with teenage girls and young women, and hachi is no exception. her fashion sense is also heavily inspired by famous japanese celebrities and style icons like risa nakamura.
if we had to really narrow it down, i think hachi's style can be best described by otome (lit: maiden) fashion. known as one of the predecessors of lolita fashion, this style was very popular among young girls in the 70s-80s and is heavily centered around embodying all things traditionally feminine. sweet, cute, girly, and romantic are all common descriptors of the style, which pulls influence from 60s mod fashion (which, as we've seen, has prevalent elements in hachi's style). think tons of layering, pattern mixing, longer hemlines, and mary janes/flats, all of which we frequently see in hachi's outfits. we also see that she takes elements from modern lolita fashion like frills, bows, ribbons, lace, tights & stockings, and incorporates them into her own personal style as more understated outfit details; making it more wearable on a daily basis while still being a tribute to one of her sources of style inspiration.
now that we've explored what makes hachi's personal style unique to her character, let's dig into how her style is influenced in relation to how the story progresses and how her character develops. and just for funsies, i'll also be styling a casual everyday outfit that i could picture hachi wearing for each story arc. let's go!
š
i. art school
i'd describe hachi's style here as the most youthful, which makes sense considering she's freshly moved to tokyo to study at an art school. we see her sporting a face-framing pixie cut, which gives her look a bit of edge, but not too much as she still retains her signature soft girl style to balance it out. also, can i just say: super farmer's daughter vibes when paired with a bandana! jeans were having a moment too- during this era, hachi was often seen wearing a pair of bellbottom flares or baggy jeans, creating a casual and easygoing look which really leaned into the artsy college student fashion. this would also mesh well with her then-best friend junko's more bohemian/indie, woodstock-inspired hippie style. the short hair paired with her experimentation on androgynous silhouettes definitely accentuates her gamine facial features, lending to a cute boyish look.
all these style elements are in direct contrast with the hyperfeminine looks of her high school years, back when she'd opt for skirts over jeans and long, styled hair; showing how hachi underwent a pretty drastic style change whilst adapting to the new environment in tokyo. at the same time, it could also hint at hachi's approach to self-expression & using fashion as a coping mechanism to deal with major life changes. dressing more casually to blend in with the college crowd is one of many indicators on how easily influenced hachi can get, which is pretty on-brand behaviour for someone with a tendency to seek validation from others instead of oneself.
so let's get into the first look i've picked out for her: layers on layers on layers baby! for this outfit, i took a lot of inspiration from hachi's first day of class outfit. i tried to be consistent with her theme of 70s-inspired prints and silhouettes during this phase, but also wanted to incorporate a modern y2k touch since we know that younger hachi (before fully developing her unique & personal sense of style) is more of a trend chaser, and what could be more early 2000s than a blouse + dress + jeans combo? accessories-wise, i wanted to pick out unique-looking pieces that had a lot of charm, as i was really going for that 'flea market finds' vibe since she obviously wouldn't have been able to afford any designer yet on a college student budget. also please notice the gorgeous vintage floral print ballet flats- i was so excited when i found it, i thought it screamed hachi!! they look so comfortable to walk in on top of being cute, it's the perfect shoe to slip on for a long day of classes without sacrificing style.
š
ii. apartment 707
during this time, we see hachi start to embrace feminine styles again. she lets her hair grow out and we see her back in skirts, dresses, and all things girly, which is why her otome fashion influences shine through most here. she wears tons of pieces in floral and polkadot print, as well as flowy babydoll tops which are very y2k-girl-next-door-reminiscient. we also see her starting to wear vivienne jewelry (the pearl choker, the dainty silver orb earrings), likely as a result of nana's influence (who she heavily admires and looks up to) & wanting to emulate her style. hachi's outfits here seem to have more colour and print, which i believe is reflective of her mental state here; happy, confident, and surrounded by support. good vibes all around, her environment at this time encourages her to take more risks in not just decision-making but also in her fashion choices.
in general, this era is where hachi seems to be getting a better hold on growing into her own personal style. she's still open to trying out different styles every now and then, but we can see there are some style elements that really stick and appear most often in her outfits. she's also seen here experimenting with all kinds of different hairstyles- french braids, pigtails, twin buns, the half-updo. to me, i think all of this signifies how hachi's style development runs parallel to her identity formation and how she grows as a person. at this point of the story, hachi believes she's finally found a place where she fits- within this ragtag but loving cast of unique characters.
so the second look was a little more of a challenge to work with- that's because hachi's style during this era doesn't subscribe to any one specific aesthetic or subculture, but more like a bit of everything, and her outfits can differ a lot between episodes. the goal here was to go for a casual daytime outfit, and i ended up super proud of the colour coordination in this one! i've styled hachi in a frilly vintage floral print chiffon slip dress that's almost reminiscent of the strawberry dress of 2020, but with unique details that give it much more character. i gave hachi a cream-toned vivienne crossbody purse, a scarf to balance out the salmon pink of the dress accents, styled as a neckerchief, some strawberry hair clips to match, and of course i had to include her much-spotted pearl orb necklace too. the highlight of this look are definitely the shoes, which are maison margiela tabi ballet flats- something i could 100% picture hachi wearing if NANA were set in the context of modern day fashion trends.
š
iii. motherhood
as time passes, we also see how hachi's fashion sense has slightly evolved into a classier, more refined version. more adult, if you will. this occurs when hachi decides to move out from apartment 707 and starts getting serious with takumi. not only did her living situation change, but as did her lifestyle, and with that, her fashion sense too. her style here simplified and took on a more mature look. she started prioritizing function over form as she cut down on layering and accessorizing. she would also opt for longer, flowier silhouettes and comfortable styles, often wearing simple dresses or aprons over a basic shirt-skirt combo. i really like how the change in style here - which pulls a lot from the 50s-suburbia housewife trope (think frilly aprons, puffy dresses, flared skirts, modest hemlines) - feels like a sublte detail to show how hachi settles into her new role of motherhood, expressed via clothing choices.
as a whole, this period of her life signifies the drastic 180Ā° change from spending carefree days of young adulthood, to taking on the role of mother/wife in a nuclear family unit. it's the most major life change she's ever had to experience at this point, and it's expected that her style evolves alongside this. she's seen wearing noticeably less patterns or colour during this time, which could hint at possibly representing her inner feelings- the bleakness of spending her days in a mostly-empty home, and the isolation of being separated from the friendships she once surrounded herself with daily. thankfully, we do eventually see her return to dressing fashionably again after the timeskip. however, it's extremely important not to gloss over this period of her life as it portrays how she must have felt having most of her agency taken away overnight, with her style being all she had left as a form of control.
so last but not least is the final outfit, which was tough styling as there was comparably less material to go off, but i based it on the few going-out looks we get to see hachi wear post-takumi. rolling with the 50s-inspired looks, i've styled her in a coral short-sleeve button down dress. for the outerwear i picked a long checkered overcoat, which nicely complements the dress in addition to being a going-out staple for classy ladies everywhere. since the outfit is mostly harsher silhouettes, i decided to keep the colour scheme light to balance it out. while i was going for 'stylish mature woman', i still wanted some youthful elements in there to maintain hachi's signature girlish look. i balanced it out by accessorizing with a headband (a prep chic essential) and dior saddle bag, both lime green for a pop of colour and contrast. and of course, i had to incorporate the iconic neckerchief too as it doesn't get any more vintage-looking than this. the final piece to tie it all together are a pair of classic miu miu ballet flats- chic and comfortable!
š
final thoughts
all in all, hachi's fashion sense is super girly and sweet, which i'd say directly reflects on her character's personality. hachi is an outgoing girl who wears her heart on her sleeve and has a lot of love to give. she's warm and approachable, which she expresses through her clothing choices by embodying the cheerful, down-to-earth girl next door look. her bubbly style is youthful and fresh, which personality-wise is in character with hachi's innocence and willingness to trust others. this is shown through how much hachi cares deeply about her loved ones & often (unhealthily) prioritizes their feelings over her own. however, this naĆÆvetĆ© unfortunately leaves her a lot more vulnerable to others seeking to exploit her emotional attention.
hachi's fashion evolution over the series shows how she uses fashion as a coping tool to help adjust to life changes, capturing her emotional growth and how she matures over the course of the story. the way that hachi's sense of style develops alongside her character is so realistic. her style development tells the story of a girl who finds herself and loses herself over and over again, frequently changing jobs and wardrobes in a constant struggle to find an identity to latch onto- until she does. hachi's style story is one of self-expression & identity formation; a story that speaks to all the young, unsure girls out there who see a bit of themselves in her, trying to figure out their place in a world in a world that often decides for them.

could you do a blackberry x adventurer fankid if you havent already pretty please :3
I canāt really say that I made this because of the aforementioned āI havenāt drawn anything in a whileā post, itās just because I was scrolling through my requests and remembered that I was in the middle of drawing her before and thought āmight as well finishā
Anyways sorry, this is Blackberry Scone Cookie
So if Iām being perfectly honest, I donāt entirely know what her deal is. I know that, unlike her father, she is very willing to acknowledge that sheās rich and uphold that side of her family. Sheās also at least outwardly, very similar to her mother in being generally reserved in her emotions. I think one idea I had for her is that she does cool things, she just does with a disinterested face, which kind of just heightens the coolness
Okay so Iām gonna be completely honest, I am now going to just make something up as I write. That top part was in part for me to figure something out
Outwardly, she seems disinterested, but she has plenty of emotions, you just either need to pay attention to her actual words instead of tone, or you just need to get close enough to her for the mask to fall. She also has quite an interest in stories of magic and in mystical artifacts, though she prefers simply reading about them over going out to find them. Also, despite her interest in the subject, she just doesnāt have that much of an ability for magic/the occult, and has difficulty seeing ghosts (best she has is that she can sometimes see Onion), which is one of the reasons she sticks to simply reading about them rather than going out herself
While she has respect for her father in how he goes out on his own to seek out treasure and artifacts, she just doesnāt understand why he hates his rich life. Her only real guess is that he sees it as clashing with his adventurer persona, which she thinks is kind of stupid. Sheās also pretty much the one running the estate while heās gone (sheās an adult by this point) and being the one to actually deal with things such as house guests. Not to say Adventurer was an absent parent, and heād actually take her along when she was younger on some of his expeditions, but he can disappear sometimes now
She doesnāt hate her parents, and itās not like they were horrible parents to her, but she feels distant from her mother due to her lack of ghost abilities, and some amount of resentment for her father for being so attached to this persona of his and his disdain for his actual heritage, especially since sheās fully accepting of it and it unintentionally makes her self conscious about it
Sheās not super sure of her place in the world, but for now sheās just trying to do her job as a member of a rich family
Hm, so I ended up writing more on her than I thought I would. Ah well, not a bad thing. Well, design time
So her nameās Blackberry Scone due to me headcanoning Adventurer to be some sort of shortbread or biscuit (I know theyāre the same thing in other countries, but Iām unsure as to what kind of biscuit he is now). Scones are kind of like biscuits, add some blackberry and there you go, blackberry scones
A potential name was Blackberry Cobbler, but I think I prefer scone, especially since I made her more rich-seeming
Blackberry scone:
So almost everything I made of her, outside of the small sketches and some of the colors, I made a couple weeks ago while waiting at the dentistās office, and I mostly blocked her out of my mind after that as a result. So I donāt really remember a lot of the design process
I feel like I gave her that hairstyle to make her look ācoolā, but then I kind of threw that aspect of her character away. But I still like it, so she keeps it
Also, her suit was originally a bit more reddish, but I changed it today to make it more purple so itād fit with the color of the scones. They donāt really look that red, so I changed it. But I think now the colors may not all look the best together
I feel like I may have made her colors all a bit too similar to each other, and/or not given her enough, but I donāt really know what else to change
Also when I came back today, the thickness of the lines was bothering me. Maybe itās because Iāve been dabbling with the Syrup brush now, but I think I need to play with line width more now, since some of the smaller things like the brooch feel like they have too thick of lines
I donāt think her design is necessarily bad though, itās mostly color wise I have issues with
And yeah, thatās Blackberry Scone, I hope you enjoy her
#Iām kind of bored so I donāt know what to do now#maybe Iāll draw another but Iām not sure#or finally get around to writing Mochiās description and giving him a character#who knows#cookie run#cookie run kingdom#cookie run ovenbreak#blackberry cookie#adventurer cookie#adventureberry#thatās their ship name right?#cookie run oc#fankid#fanchild#blackberry scone cookie#my OCs#my art#requests#answers

Kid Villains, pt 2.
Decided to post more kiddy villains, bit of a sequel to this. First up is Kitten, Mothman's bratty daughter from the 2003 teen titan cartoon:
Modeled her costume after the Rosy Maple Moth, while there are species of moths with the name kitten on them I figured she would prefer a pink outfit.
Thought it'd be kinda cool for her to be a villain for the batkids, she's already evil so why not. I don't imagine her to be all that talented at the job tho she would still be very dangerous if you underestimate her. I think she would work particularly well against Steph, being that Mothman started as a villain for Barbara (Cass might be too high level for her tbh).
Here's some more doodles:
Here's my Scarecrow's sidekick oc, I should probably name her something like Rag Doll or Raggedy Scream maybe? The three boys are oc's modeled after the Terrible Trio, criminals who commit crimes wearing animal masks. Their identities change a lot over continuities, so these kids are probably aspiring to be the next incarnation of this group.
Here's another random oc, a sidekick for White Rabbit (Jaina Hudson). Thought it'd be funny if it was just a kid in a silly rabbit suit, like what the kid wore in that movie, A Christmas Story. I'm not sure on what his personality should be. Maybe someone genuinely nice, a cheerful, polite boy who likes to hand people bombs (unintentionally dangerous) or maybe someone pretending to be nice but is actually malicious. Whatever's funnier I suppose.
Here's some characters inspired by the Super Friends enemies, the Super Foes. You'd see some of them return for the Robins 2021 mini, except for Toy Boy. Giggles and Guffaw are newer, only appearing in the mini.
I messed with their designs a bit to make them more unique looking. Honeysuckle for example was shown with either red or brown hair but I gave her a sorta dark maroon, thought it contrasted well with her green outfit. Honeysuckle btw, is older than the rest, and is more of an enemy to Dick and Barbara, tho her teenage self has no problem attacking the younger sibs.
Also Giggles and Guffaw might look a little similar to a certain anime starring a group of sextuplets, just being a little funny there. I gave these kids some made up names, mostly taken from whatever writer created them. Couple of them worked out pretty well actually, like Bridwell (well, spring, stream) and Estrada (Road).
This next one is a character from the 2004 cartoon The Batman, which I never actually watched but I did see commercials of. His name is Prank ( Donnie ?), a protege of the Joker. He wasn't evil enough to stick it out, but I gotta say I just loved his costume (esp how the jacket resembles Robins coat a bit). Made up a last name for him, just a random one from searching up famous clowns.
Being Barbara's peer, he's also more of a antagonist for the older kids, decided he and Honeysuckle should friends. I kinda want to use them as a sorta contrast to Babs and Dick, that could be fun to do. Also look at baby Dick, I don't draw him enough at this age.
Speaking of Barbara, I've been going back and forth between having her start out as either 12 or 16. All the other kids start out really young, so it makes sense for Babs to do so as well. But I kinda like the thought of her starting out much older, makes her more unique among the batkids (in pre-crisis she became Batgirl in like her 20s btw, cool huh?)
More various rivals for the kids to fight, excluding my oc Pink Rabbit, all of them more antagonists for the kids themselves rather sidekicks of the villains that Batman fights.
Here's Jason and Steph torturing poor little Enigma, who would be considered the bad guy here?
Here's some more proteges, Holly probably exists in this world, she's a bit too old for all this nonsense tho. Kitten is also a Super Foes member and was in Robins 2021 as well, she's been shown to be a sidekick to the Cheetah and Catwoman. Maybe she's just likes to attach herself to any cat-themed villain.
Crazy Quilt is more of an enemy to Robin than Batman, plus he has his own legacy in Crazy Quilt II, so obviously I had to include them. I wonder what name should I give the younger one, Duvet? Silly Blankie? idk
Lastly here's Earth 3(?) Jason Todd as Talon II paying a visit to the Training Wheels universe, seems like hes a bit of a crybaby. I don't think we've seen a earth 3 variant of Jason, so I'm just making up my own version of him. Wonder why he seems so nervous...
Anyways!! That was a lot, hope you liked all that!
#DC Comics#Barbara Gordon#Dick Grayson#Jason Todd#Cassandra Cain#Stephanine Brown#Tim Drake#Duke Thomas#Damian Wayne#Holly Robinson#Crazy Quilt#Lynx#December Graystone#Ana Vulsion#Agrippina#Honeysuckle#Prank#my art#Training Wheels au#don't wanna tag the rest#plus a lot of them are oc's anyways

how do you come up with all those crazy cool outfits for tomiko? or any of your characters in general, all my characters' outfits are just so similar and the same goes with hairstyles. i keep having that impulse to give all my female characters that side swept bangs yknow (like tomiko's, her swoop is super fun to draw)?
i was kinda hoping someone would ask me about this cause NOW I GET TO TALK ABOUT FASHION YAAAYYYY!!
my secret, cap? I research and reference a LOT. Like if you have a specific vibe you wanna go for, look up characters that also have that vibe, or outfits from a certain time period. Like if I needed to draw, like, a weird space walk suit, for a wild example. Iād not only look up sci-fi outfits, but Iād also look up old timey sea diving outfits and diving bells to give it an interesting twist. Then pulling design elements from all my findings and bam!! Another example is for Whitley from my comic, the Alice white knight character, I donāt just look up armor but also blacksmith outfits. Having multiple sources, some unexpected, can really help!
As for Tomiko, Iām gonna use her apocalypse outfit cause that really shows my āreference everythingā method with her haha
this goes for a lot of Tomikoās outfits as well. Her regular outfit is the spirited away teal top + shorts + some extra red bows and details. Her battle nexus outfit is the big mama + bellhops aesthetics, but in the shape of vintage hotel maid outfits.
In conclusion, RESEARCH A LOOOOT. find a vibe you wanna go for and gather a BUNCH of interesting shapes that suit what youāre going for, then throw them together and see what works!

Glad You're Home, Asshole
Pairing: Draco Malfoy x Reader (no gender specific language used)
Word Count: 1,640
Warnings: swearing, reader is american and a streamer
A/N: this is so self indulgent. the time period is modern obviously, since the reader is a streamer, but Draco and reader are in their like . . . 20's-30's. just dont worry about it
this might become a little one shot series, not sure. currently hyperfixating
The Ministry was probably the most boring place in the world.Ā
Draco Malfoy sat back in his office chair, sighing deeply. That would have to be enough for today. He closed the book he was looking through, setting it off to the side. There were so many archaic laws still to sort through, Hermione was right when she told him it would most likely take him years of diligent work. Still, he was grateful for it. This was what he was good at, the superfluous language, the knowledge of what went through the minds of a group of aristocratic wizards. His job was to put the past into the present and hand that information over to those who could make a difference. Already heād been instrumental in helping overturn old laws that had no bearing in modern society. It gave him a sense of accomplishment, of pride.Ā
He stood, collecting his suit coat and bag. He knew youād be waiting for him, he had promised you heād either call you by 5 pm to tell you he was going to be late, or he would be home by 7 pm. A quick glance at his watch told him that it was 6:45 pm, so heād have to be quick.Ā
Heading to one of the designated apparating stations, he left the Ministry with a crack.Ā
He landed in the mudroom, setting his suit coat and bag down. The house was warm, inviting, a space that instantly melted the stress of work and the outside world off him. As he makes his way through the house in search of you, he remembers what it took to get here.Ā
An American in Britain always stirred up some emotion from the native peoples, an American magic user in the Ministry of Magic stirred up more than just emotion. Draco is the first to admit that British magic users still had a long way to go when it came to the acceptance of certain people by and large. He still had to catch himself every once in a while when he interacted with muggles. Heād met a couple Americans here and there, but generally in passing, generally muggle. He couldnāt remember the last time he spoke to an American magic user, he genuinely may never had before. But when you caught his eye as he walked through the Atrium he couldnāt move as you walked over, a smile brightening up your beautiful face.
He could tell you were American from the way you dressed, the way you let your emotions dance across your face. You were animated in a way his compatriots generally werenāt. It was . . . refreshing, he decided in the moments it took for you to reach him.
āHi! Iām so sorry to be a bother, but Iām looking for someone and the stupid sim card I bought for my phone isnāt working, and this place is just massive. Could you tell me where Regina Hillspireās office is?ā Your voice was animated as you smiled through the whole sentence.
He hesitated for a moment, caught up in the magnetic pull of your being. People didnāt really smile at him at this point, didnāt really ask him for anything outside of a professional capacity, and even then it seemed forced. Here you were, making solid eye contact, your voice melodious in a chorus of one notes.Ā
āSheās a friend, you see, we met online. I stream actually, and we started talking because we both play this really cool game. She invited me to visit, and I've never been to Britain before so I figured āwhy not?ā! I just got in, so on top of the sim card thing not working I'm also super jet lagged. If you donāt know where her office is, that's totally cool, I can maybe find it?ā You looked around, the hesitancy of your conviction evident in your face.
Draco looked to the side, needing to divert his gaze to hard reboot his brain. After a moment he nodded and turned back to you, āYeah, I know her office. Itās just down the hall from mine, let me walk you there.ā
You smiled wide, āGreat! Thank you so much! Iām Y/n by the way.ā
āDraco,ā
āNice to meet you, Draco.āĀ
You started walking, following Draco as he weaved his way through the labyrinth that was the Ministry. You were quiet as you two walked, and it didnāt sit right with him. He liked hearing your voice, a fact that he filed away quickly in a box labeled āehā.
āSo . . .ā He started after they walked into an elevator and the doors whispered shut, āYou stream?ā
You nodded at him, āYeah, generally I stream video games, sometimes I do other things. Right now iām streaming a run of a new game, I got early access to it so I could stream it. Thatās my favorite, I think, introducing something new. Itās really cool.ā
You were definitely introducing something new to him.
āDo you . . . I mean can I . . .ā He didn't know how to ask how to watch your streams. Heād never played a video game before, let alone watch someone play one.Ā
You looked at him with expectant eyes.
Before he could figure out how to ask, the elevator doors opened, depositing the two of you onto his floor. Instead of finishing his sentence he strode out, his long legs propelling him down the hallway at a clipped pace. You struggled to keep up for a moment, chasing after him.Ā
After a couple seconds he slowed down, giving you an apologetic look. You just waved your hand and smiled.
It didnāt take long to reach Reginaās door. They could hear her talking behind it, most likely on the phone.Ā
āWell, hereās her office.ā He stuck his hands into his pockets, unsure what to do. He didnāt want to leave you, he wanted to ask you about your streams, talk to you about your life. He wanted to be selfish and take your time away from your actual friend. But he couldnāt do that, the only claim he had of your time was this simple act.
āThank you so much,ā you responded, smiling happily.
He nodded and turned, intending to head to his office and wallow.Ā
āHey Draco?āĀ
Draco stopped in his tracks, turning back to you with an eyebrow raised.
āI would love to go on a date with you.āĀ
For the second time that day Draco hesitated, this time his surprise flashing across his face. He watched as your smile slowly turned down and into a grimace.
āOr is that . . . not what you wanted to ask me in the elevator?āĀ
āI . . . no thatās not what I wanted to ask you." His words were slow, brows knitting together.
You nodded slowly, your gaze flicking from his face to the closed door of Reginaās office.
āBut!ā He said quickly as you reached for the handle, āI would really like to go on a date with you, if you have some time during your visit.ā
You quickly looked back at him, face lighting up. Warmth spread through his chest, warming the tips of his ears and making him feel slightly drunk. He really liked your face, liked the look of it when he made you happy.Ā
The rest, they say, was history. Two short years later and you had moved in, you were sleeping in his bed and letting him call you darling, baby, honey, love. He fell more in love with you every day, and today was no different.Ā
When he didnāt find you in the living room, he knew you had to be in your office. The day you moved in Draco had installed a light next to the door frame. Green meant he could come in, red meant you were streaming or working on something and couldn't be distracted.Ā
The light was green, so he quietly opened the door and headed inside. Your streaming room/office was a gorgeous extension of your personality. It was filled with the things you loved, the things that made you you. Draco had had a marvelous time helping you set it up, basking in the glow of you being with him all the time.Ā
Right now you were contorted in your computer chair, noise canceling headphones on, wrapped in a blanket heād had since Hogwarts. It was dark in the room, the only lighting your two monitors as you stared intently at the one that held the game.Ā
He crept up behind you, wanting to see what you were playing. The second monitor had a game page on Steam up for a demo, a horror game it seemed. He smiled softly, you did say youād try anything once.Ā
You flinched suddenly, hitting pause on the keyboard so quick your hand was a blur.
āHoly shit,ā You muttered, taking a deep breath. āWhat the fuck was that?ā
Draco had to stifle his laugh, watching as you steeled yourself. You hit play again and move your mouse, the first person view point shifting, lighting up a tree with a figure behind it, its eyes black and its smile wide. He chose that moment to place his hand on your shoulder.
You screamed, jumping up and ripping your headphones off, reaching for the wand that was placed neatly in a holder on the side of your desk.
āItās me! Itās me!ā Draco laughed, holding his hands up.
Your breathing was ragged as you took in the site of your boyfriend. You glanced at the clock on your desk, āDraco! What the fuck man??ā
āIām sorry love, I couldn't resist.ā He smiled the world's most infuriatingly charming smile as he swept you up in his arms.
You grumbled but let him hug you, sighing heavily, āGlad your home, asshole.ā
He laughed once more and kissed you, āSo am I.ā

iirc I think you said you donāt like Trey and Malleusās hair but somehow excuse Rolloās hair šØ so where does everyone else stand if you were judging them based only on physical appearance?
Disclaimers: I'm not including any Yuus (like, from the manga), mob students, reused assets (ie ghosts and pixies), or characters that we've only gotten the silhouettes for (that means no Mrs. Rosehearts, no Farena/Falena, no Zigvolt parents, etc.). I am only giving my thoughts on the looks of named characters with fully realized designs. If there is a significant variation of their hairstyle I like, I'll make note of it. Additionally, I will be commenting on general style rather than on individual outfits. This also involves official in-game artwork only; it is NOT inclusive of merch artwork or fan art since those can vary widely.
These are my opinions, please don't take them too seriously. I think all the designs work as is to convey the background and personality of each character, but everyone will have different tastes and preferences in terms of visual design; these are just mine! (And remember, just because I may like how a character looks doesnāt mean I like the character overall!!)
***PLEASE NOTE: This post contains spoilers for the main story and events that have yet to be released in EN!!***
Pretty
Jade - I'll admit that it took me a while to get used to his haircut (I typically don't go for the super short bangs), but it grew on me! I really like his face in particular; it can be very calm and pleasant but also mischievous and sinister. When he's angry or upset, it's much more subtle and hard to read in his face. That's something I can really appreciate. It all works very well with his neat, tidy, and unassuming appearance.
Jamil, Najma - THE VIPER FAMILY HAS SUCH GOOD GENES, just look at their luscious hair and mysterious, dark eyes... They dress so well too, I love all the hair accessories and flowy fabrics the Viper siblings have.
Meleanor - Malleus's mom has got it goin' on š She really kills the warrior princess look! Very imposing, yet elegant. I can totally understand why Lilia used to crush on her.
Fellow - Not usually a fan of gingers (and nor do I simp for fox man), but there's just something so charming about Fellow's face. I think it's the eyes and his self-assured, fun-loving smile. His outfit's snazzy and he makes it work so well! I especially like the cravat, spats, and the cape hanging off one shoulder.
Cool
Leona - OKAY FINE I'LL ADMIT HE'S HANDSOME, ARE YOU HAPPY NOW????? š As much as I want to wrestle Leona, I have to admit that he has a very striking face (especially when he smirks) and powerful presence. He knows how to command a room (and heās just about the threshold of muscle Iām willing to accept). I'm not really into hair past shoulder length or how he usually dresses, but what I think is the coolest about him are his eyes. It feels like they'll follow you everywhere. Ponytail Leona is the best Leona, in my opinion.
Ortho - I was debating between putting Ortho in "Cool" or "Cute", but ultimately went with "Cool" because he by far has the most unique look of the entire cast. I love learning about his different Gears and their functions, each one different than the last. I don't find the pale skin and blue hair as off-putting on Ortho as I do on Idia, and I think that's because Ortho's more child-like.
Crowley - His aesthetic is nice! I find the bird mask really goofy and his hair a literal rat's nest (DON'T @ ME, IT LOOKS LIKE LIMP SEAWEED), but his suit and cape are so dapper! All the keys and mirrors would look gaudy on any other character, but they fit so well for Crowley. The extra shiny details give him an air of mystery, like threads of light peeking through the dark.
Trein- Trein's robes and cravat make him look so classy and regal! The colors also remind me of Edgeworth from Ace Attorney-- He looks very stern at first glance, but when he gives his little smiles you can tell how much he really cares.
Sam - He's way overdressed for running an on-campus school general store but hey, it works for him. There's lots of little details I enjoy in his design, from the stitching on his top hat to the locs he sports.
Cute
Lucius, Grim - LIL' KITTY CATS š„ŗ I especially think Grim is adorable whenever he gets a new themed bow or a whole ass outfit like in the Halloween events!
Chenya - His haircut is so uneven but I commend his style. Chenya's look isn't too busy; his jewelry and decorative patches are spread out so they don't crowd for your attention. Gotta love those callbacks to Alice in Wonderland! This might sound weird, but there's power in his plain white shirt half-buttoned and loosely tucked into his pants; it gives the right amount of casualness to feel "accidentally stylish". There's also just something really whimsical about how cat-like his facial expressions and gestures are. It's quite endearing!
Ruggie - His hair looks perfect for ruffling! The fact that he often dresses in hand-me-downs and Leona's oversized clothing makes him appear "small" and even cuter. Pair that with Ruggie's crooked little smile, and it's perfect. I like that his build is lankier than those of the other Savanaclaw students; it makes him appear less intimidating on an initial evaluation.
Cheka - Have you SEEN Cheka?????? How does your heart not melt at the sight of him š I adore his little :3 face and how he shines when he's innocently asking Ojitan to hang out with him...
Floyd - I feel like I kind of have to put Floyd in "Cute" since he's Jade's twin. Floyd just places lower because I find his eye shape less cute and his personal style doesn't really align with my tastes.
Kalim - This type of hair isn't usually my jam, but Kalim dresses it up well with a headband/scarf (?) and jewerly. When he moves, I imagine that the jewelry is jingling its own song. Kalim always seems to be smiling, so just looking at him puts me in a good mood too. His fashion choices tend to be extravagant and not very viable for everyday wear, but it's fine as long as Jamil stops him from making impulsive decisions.
Rook - I actually don't like his bob (I prefer it in an awkward little ponytail), but his face--especially the mouth--is beautiful. I BEG OF YOU, LOOK AT HIS CEREMONIAL ROBES GROOVY. Rook can be so expressive, it's like he's a one-man play. Alas... He looks naked without a hat :(( but I appreciate the mystery of covering up his limbs for the most part so we canāt see how truly muscular he is.
Lilia - Peepaw really stands out from the rest of Diasomnia; he doesn't come off as scary right away, he just relished in how adorable he is and is confident in that. Lilia's shorter stature and more experimental style certainly plays into that uniqueness too. It's fun to see what he comes up with! I especially love that he wears more traditionally feminine things like tulle skirts and gathered fabrics, and even dyes his hair and paints his nails in various colors. The cut itself is a bit of a clusterfuck when I first saw it, but I've really grown fond of it over time. It's such a bright expression of who Lilia is. I can't say if I prefer his long ponytail or the shorter trim; both are good!
Sebek - Like Jade, Sebek is also very well-put together. I like him with both his hair up and down; each has its unique appeal! With his hair up, Sebek appears much fiercer. With his hair down, he reminds me more of a puppy drenched from the rain. I feel like even though his face can be menacing, his smile overpowers how scary he can be. It feels so pure, clashing with his usual attitude... (His pathetic/sad expressions are also cute, but don't let him know I said that.)
Marja - Sweet granny... She looks so kind and cozy, I just wanna give her a hug.
Rollo - Iām a bowl cut apologist, what of it š I like how he's so straight-laced and proper in his dress. It goes together with his face very well. Moreover, the dark eye bags and pinched, stern mouth only add to his charm. Rollo can go from neutral to devious smirk to a flash of anger--it's so interesting to observe how his face contorts.
Gidel - He looks like a mix of Ruggie and Cheka, so by default Gidel goes in "Cute". His oversized sleeves, patchwork pants, and mismatched socks give him such character!
Dylla - ANOTHER ATTRACTIVE MOM!!! Her clothing is more on the tomboyish side, but she still wears them well. Dylla's face in particular is really stunning; I get a mature big sis vibe from her.
Mid
Ace, Deuce- The most generic hair styles of the entire cast. I donāt have much else to remark on. What I will say is that I prefer Deuceās hair slicked back (which happens in a lot of gan arts) more than his standard hair.
Azul - I don't know how else to say this, but I think Azul is handsome but in heavily regulated manner... to the point where it doesn't feel natural?? Like yes, he obviously cares about his appearance, it just feels "too" controlled of a narrative to me. The same goes for his smiles. Like Eliza says, he does it too much, so it feels fake.
Crewel - His hair and mostly monochromatic color scheme with splashes of crimson is cool, but I'm not into his clothing. It's very jarring to see his hair and vest color blocked, and I don't find his big flashy fur coat appealing.
Neige - He's wearing such an ugly sweater, but the innocence of his face evens things out. I find Neige cute in that generically sweet way, and for that I cannot place him higher than "Mid".
Epel- Same "generically sweet" cuteness as Neige. I do like his colors though.
Silver - Also has very generic hair. Silver just looks like Some Guy to me (although I will say his lopsided smile is cute). Iām slightly put off by the super muscular arms in his PE uniform too.
Eliza - I think Eliza could be a lot more appealing if they hadn't presented her to us in such a different style. Like the generic ghost NPCs, she's drawn more like a western cartoon rather than like an anime so she feels "off" from the rest of the named cast. Because there isn't unity between her and the characters she is shown with, Eliza sticks out like a sore thumb. I gotta hand it to her though, she still slays in that tattered wedding dress.
Fairy Queen - Love how the buns in her hair resemble roses, and how her entire body looks like it's golden and glowing from within. I wish her dress was more detailed though, more fitting for a queen.
Don't Like, but Could be Worse
Riddle - ROACH ANTENNAE........ . .. ... . . .... . ...... . .. . . . .. .... . .. Oh, and he looks so funky when he gets all red in the face.
Vil - For as much as we're told he's beautiful, I don't find Vil's brand of beauty to be digestible. He comes off too strongly, if that makes sense??? 20 cm heels, face beat to the gods with makeup, carrying himself at all times like there's a camera pointed at him and he has to pose 24/7 (look at most of his groovies)... It's hard for me to get behind that, it feels too overwhelming.
Eric Venue - My guy has the same sort of severe-ish facial structure as his son. Also not a fan of facial hair.
Seven Dwarves - I find most of the dwarves way too cartoonish, and not in a cute way. I think the only design I genuinely find okayish is Timmy (the timid dwarf).
Ambrose - He's an older gentleman in his wizard Halloween costume. I find his design sort of... generic??? But I'm knocking him down a little because I also find his overall appearance to be goofy and unflattering.
Idia - I DON'T CARE WHAT THE MAGICAL ARCHIVES OR ELIZA SAY, MAN LOOKS LIKE A WALKING CORPSE AND THAT AIN'T CUTE š
Shroud parents - Cool helmets, but I wish we actually got to see their faces.
Baul - I find Sebek's hair color more pleasing to the eye. Baul has a lot of other elements that Sebek doesn't (due to Baul being full fae and Sebek being half), and I find that they overcomplicate his design. It's hard for me to focus on his face because there's just so much to take in, from the scaley beard and more voluminous hair to the fangs and pointed ears.
Dawn Knight - This is the "bro, can I copy your homework" / "sure, but be sure to change it a little so the teacher doesn't notice" meme. I wish the Dawn Knight wasn't just long-haired, recolored Silver (with the exact same voice actor too). I would place the Dawn Knight in "Mid", but that armor is not doing him any favors. It's way too excessive with all the wings.
Kifaji - The big brows and the really long goatee make me go "???"
Actively Dislike
Trey - His hair reminds me of a freshly mowed lawn. Trey's design is otherwise inoffensive to me, but that hair color and cut are bringing him down so much. The only memorable thing about how he presents are those rare moments when he whips out his one brow raised smirks, and even then I think he looks slightly silly and it's hard to take him seriously.
Cater - Again, it's the hair for me. I like it better when it's all down (like in his Club Wear card). In his usual hairdo, there's a middle segment that's weirdly pulled back from the rest of his face in a... scruffy ponytail??? That really bothers me. I don't vibe with his usual style of dress or how he presents himself either, it's a bit too... lax?? (I know I said the same thing about Floyd, but he looks similar to Jade and therefore gets a pass).
BURN WITH FIRE
Jack - He commits the sin of having a confusingly styled mullet and has a muscular physique which don't bode well for my tastes. I guess he does have those "looks intimidating, but is actually a softie at heart" vibes going for him, but I just cannot look past the haircut I'M SORRY.
Malleus - I'm not into super pale emo/goth guys, and Malleus somehow presents as even more of that than Idia. He dresses in mostly black (and while there is a lore reason for this, that doesn't make me like the color any more or less), has a sort of mopey face (I guess it's supposed to be elegant, but I don't perceive it as that), and dear god that haircut and the ashy grey lipsā¦ It doesnāt help that the expressions he makes (particularly on his birthday cards) give really strong āare u lost bby ghorlā energy and that weirds me out š So many things about him just don't work for me.
Vargas - Too muscular. Also not a fan of facial hair or athletic wear. Vargas doesn't seem to have a very keen fashion sense either, judging by the outfits he put together for his camp events.
Heinrich - His face is very grotesque and twists into making some of the most comedically evil and smug expressions I've ever witnessed in all of TWST.

Hangin' with Dracula.
Finale of my Halloweeny drabbles with Joel!
31/10- trick or treating.

You crouched down on the purple rug, picking up jewels from the pot beside you and carefully attaching them to the girl in front of you, adding the finishing touches to her witch costume.
"You've put like eighty of those things on my face, is it done yet?" She groaned, despite having asked for the fancy gems and designs from you.
"There are only 14 on there, stop complaining."
"Okay, okay, I just wanna go already!" Sarah exclaimed, foot tapping furiously beneath her as she sat on the edge of her bed.
"Calm down, just 2 more." You said as you reached for another gem.
"One.. two.. and done." You grinned, standing up and clasping your hands together as you admired your handiwork. Swirls of different sized and shaped purple gems adorned her face, with a little eyeshadow - that took a lot of convincing for her father to allow it - and her hair done as best you could. Hair was never really your strong suit.
You had spent at least an hour getting supplies and trying to make the costume look as good as possible for her though, enjoying the task and finding it a good opportunity to grow your relationship with the girl.
You had been Sarah's babysitter for almost 3 years now, and you both loved eachother, and although she wouldn't admit it she thought of you as the maternal figure in her life. You were so caring and patient with her, good to both her and her dad, and a sweet person in general.
And although you were supposed to be just her babysitter, you found yourself coming round to their place for things even when Joel was home like dinners and movie nights etcetera. He appreciated you a lot, and knowing Sarah liked you so much made him like you a lot too.
"Okay, don't touch your costume too much! I'll go get your dad then we'll go." You told her before walking out of the room and knocking on his down the hall.
"Joel? She's ready.." You called from behind the door. He adjusted the bowtie on his much too extravagant costume before opening the door, immediately hiding his face behind one hand when he saw the look on your face.
"Oh my god. You went all out didn't you?" You teased, moving his hand away from his face and starting to scrutinize the outfit.
"So it's a vampire.." you began, as he nodded. "I like the hair." You grinned. He had actually brushed his hair for once, slicking it back with some gel. "Yeah. Makes me look stupid though." He shrugged as the two of you walked into Sarah's room so he could see the costume.
"What d'ya think?" She asked him, doing a 'creepy pose' and wiggling her eyebrows.
"I think..." He started, walking over to her before picking her up and spinning her around, making her squeal and swat at him playfully. "It looks super cool." He said, tickling her sides slightly and making her erupt into fits of laughter.
"Dad! Dad, you're gonna- mess up the makeup! We spent so long on it!"
"Okay, okay. You look amazin', babygirl." He grinned, kissing her forehead before setting her down again. Your heart melted at the sight of them, they had such a good relationship despite how much Joel had to work and the other many difficulties they came across in life, ones you knew about very well. Finance, family.. more specifically her mother. Your jaw clenched at the thought of her.
When Joel told you what she did to him, to both of them, you wanted to find that woman and make her realise the impact she made on his life.
She basically had the kid then decided it was too much, wanting to put her up for fucking adoption, leading to a huge argument with Joel. He couldn't just give her up like that. It had only been a few months and he already loved that little girl more than life itself. He'd do anything for her.
So that's what he did. After his ex-wife moved out, he did everything for Sarah every single day. Woke her up, brushed her teeth, changed her clothes, fed her breakfast, changed her clothes again when she got said breakfast all over them, took her to the park, watched corny kids shows with her, read her stories before putting her to bed then working so late his eyes stung from being open too long. He did everything he could to be the best parent ever for her, feeling like it was his fault her mother left and needing to make up for it.
Then things got busy. The contracting company was not exactly smooth sailing but he needed money. For her. He didn't care about his own wellbeing anymore, he could starve for all he cared as long as she was okay.
That's when he hired you, just over 3 years ago. And you were a blessing in more ways than one. Not only were you amazing at your job, but Sarah genuinely really liked you, loved you, and the way she'd talk about you made him so happy, hearing about all the things you did with her and for her. He knew that subconsciously she probably thought of you like a mother, and you acted like you were one with her; he honestly couldn't have wished for anyone better to be that for Sarah, and it made him more than just like you. He reckons he really fell in love with you when he came home to both of you asleep, she was in her bed all nice and tucked in whilst you were kneeling on the hard floor beside it, storybook slipping out of your hand and it was evident you were staying awake just for her, making sure she was fast asleep even though you were evidently just as tired as her. You put her first before yourself like he always did, showing him how much you cared for her, and the sight might have brought tears to his eyes.
Not only were you amazing with Sarah, but you were also really good to Joel, it was like you took care of him sometimes too. You'd leave him food, ask him how he was, make sure he was drinking water and sleeping properly, even bought him new clothes after teasing him about wearing the same 3 shirts in rotation but then noticing that he only had that many.
You were pulled from your thoughts when you felt Sarah tugging on the flaps of your pirate costume which you threw together at the last second; she had practically begged you and Joel to wear costumes too, so you had gone and bought one for him the day prior then realised you only had your old one from years ago, which got stained so you didn't wear it again until now.
"Yeah honey?" You said quickly, trying to seem less out of it.
"Let's go!" She beamed up at you, shaking her candy bucket around. "This is far too empty for my liking."
You chuckled at her comment before taking her hand and walking to the front door with the two of them.
"Let's go, Dracula." You teased, making Joel roll his eyes as he unlocked the door.
The three of you spent the night going around the neighbourhood, trick or treating and even visiting a haunted house - which was put together so badly even Sarah found it more funny than scary.
She was drifting off just as it got to 10pm, Joel picking her up and resting her head on his shoulder as he walked over to you as you were caught in a conversation with a neighbour who's daughter you were friends with.
"I think it's best we head home now, unless you wanna do some more trick or treatin'?" He teased with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah, no. Let's go. Bye Mrs. Jones!"
"See ya sweetheart! Make sure you come 'round soon, maybe at Christmas?"
"Sounds good." You smiled, immediately grimacing once you'd turned around and walked away.
"Used to be friends with her kid and- shit happened so we aren't anymore. Her mom still thinks we're thick as thieves though." You explained to Joel.
"Shit happened?" He repeated questioningly.
"Yeah.. we knew eachother in highschool and stuff happened with boys. Yknow how it is."
"Boys suck. I hate 'em." He commented, making you laugh.
You rounded the corner and came to his front porch. He walked up the steps and you stood awkwardly at the bottom of them, shifting your weight from one foot to the other as you waited to say goodbye.
"What're ya standin' down there for?" He asked as he opened the door and walked in.
"I- I don't know actually." You mumbled, walking inside behind him and taking your shoes off as he walked upstairs to take Sarah to bed.
He came back downstairs as you took off the outer, more cumbersome layers of your costume.
"You gonna take your costume off or am I hanging with Dracula for the night?" You smirked as his hand came to the button of his cloak.
"Right, right." He got to work with taking off his costume, ridding himself of the cloak, fangs (yes, he actually wore plastic fangs for this), bowtie and waistcoat.
You walked up to him in a moment of bravery and started unbuttoning the outer shirt he wore, he had put an extra on since it was actually really cold this Halloween.
A comfortable silence filled the room as you finished with the shirt, moving to hand it to him before his hands gently came over yours.
"Are you okay?" He asked, having noticed when you kind of spaced out earlier thinking about the past few years with them. It made you wonder if there was anything more, ever would be, and you accidentally let your thoughts get a hold of you for too long.
"What do you mean?" You replied, acting like you didn't know exactly what he was talking about.
"Well earlier you sorta.. y'were starin' into space." He explained, taking the shirt from you and putting it on the arm of the couch.
"Well, I uh- was just thinking." You murmured. You thought it would be kind of weird to tell him you'd been thinking about his ex-wife and how much better you could've been for him, for both of them.
"Thinkin' 'bout what'?" He pressed, stepping a little closer to you.
"Just about us." You said in an even smaller voice. "The past few years have been really nice and.. I just-" you groaned, cutting yourself off and looking away as you realised how awkward you probably just made things.
He took a deep breath before speaking, trying to calm his nerves and telling himself this was a good idea.
"I really like you, darlin'. Love you, I guess I should say." He confessed, making your head almost snap from how quickly you looked back towards him, eyes widening.
"You do?"
"Yeah." He exhaled, one of his hands coming to cup your cheek as he didn't see any signs of discomfort coming from you.
You leaned into his touch slightly.
"I really like you too." You said as your hands rested on his chest, feeling his heartbeat erratically thumping inside.
He closed the distance between the two of you with a cautious, slow kiss against your lips as your hands slid up and moved to his hair, pulling him closer as you deepened the kiss.
When you broke apart, you panted heavily as you looked into his eyes.
"You taste like chocolate." You murmured, making him let out a low chuckle.
"Had to take some from the bucket. Dad tax." He reasoned, making you nod in agreement.
You kissed him again, savouring the taste of chocolate and him.
"Tastes good."
"So do you." He smirked, hand still resting on the side of your face.
"Y'wanna stay over tonight?" He asked as his thumb rubbed circles on your cheekbone.
"Yeah." You breathed, unable to stop a grin from stretching across your face before you leaned in and kissed him one more time.
"Happy Halloween." He murmured.
"Happy Halloween, Joel."

Itās funny bc out of all the characters in zzz the one that catches my eye lore wise at least the most is Corin bc if we use the theory that everyone in Victoria housekeeping is based off of some type of horror movie Rina being a ghost, Lycaon a wear wolf etc. the Corin is probably based of Frankenstein bc of like the hair and all the bolts on her outfit and when you unlock her sixth agent focus you can see she has like a scar on her arm that kinda looks like it was down back on also her first agent focus is called open trauma which is kinda sus to me
Also I love your art and blog sm have a good bay/night
oh its not really a theory but just how it is. section 6 is based off japanese folklore/yokai and victoria housekeeping off western classic horror movies and iirc the upcoming virtual idols faction off angels etcetc
lycaon = werewolf rina = ghost and haunted dolls ellen = shark (from jaws) and scissors corin = frankensteins monster (shes sensitive, green, scars, nails n mentioned surgery) and chainsaw
its pretty obvious once you reach chap 3 w all the spoopy themes and music around them, i love it so damn much
anw idk whats funny abt it but good for you that she got your attention the most. i think zzz has lots of super interesting characters with cool designs and lore and everyone gets their time to shine on screen, so theres lot to choose from for every tastes and interests
(victoria housekeeping is my most favorite faction by far, mostly bc their aesthetics etc rlly suit my tastes and i love their dynamic (also i love how theyre all so strong and professional even wise n belle are fangirling a bit kajscbk super attendants fr). they had my attention right away, i love every single one of them so i cant rlly say who is the most interesting or whatever, theyre all my babies kjabnk)
thanks for liking my art, have a good night/day as well

GERMA 66 AND CYBORG 009
(this rant is so messy i started talking about humanity and sanji š)
okay so one person on tumblr (sangerie) briefly talked about germa 66 and the inspiration from cyborg 009, an older work that oda probabaly read growing up. today i dive into the depths of insanity and read all of cyborg 009ās ORIGINAL RUN (i do not recommend this) in order to find some possible inspiration that oda used for germa 66.
However iāll probably only read 10 chapters at a time and then analyze some things.
Okay, so Cyborg 009 starts out with the organization black ghost kidnapping 9 people from all over and turning them into cyborgs. Iād like to mention the main villain/leader of this organization has a skull motif-
(and a cool cape)
and this COULD possibly be inspiration for the base design of the raid suits-
i may be reaching but the skull motif present in the belt of the suits and the cape might possibly tie back to the Black ghost organizationās leader???
moving on though, we get to the part of the story where people start getting abducted by the black ghost organization to become cyborgs. the first is 001, but iād like to bring up 002. 002 goes on to have super speed, but id also like to bring up the hairstyle.
I MIGHT BE REACHING BUT-
The hairstyle MIGHT have inspired nijiās. also his personality is sort of similar to nijiās from what iāve seen of the 2001 anime. ( which was the first 4 episodes š)
After several other kidnappings, we meet who is going to be cyborg 003, whoās kidnapped right in front of her brother who travels to try and find her. iād also like to bring up the hairstyle for this one as well.
this oneās a BIT more obvious, but this hairstyle might have inspired reijuās- weāll probably never know if these were intended design choices, but letās move on again.
In this next chapter, We get introduced to the powers of the first 8 cyborgs-
001 has an electronic brain
002 can fly to speeds up to mach 5
003 has heightened sensory acuity
004 has his whole body turned into a weapon
005 had armor grafted onto his skin which enhanced his strength
006 can shoot flames from his mouth and burrow through rock
007 can transform into anything
008 does well underwater and has makeshift gills.
now 005 is probably the one with the most in common to the standard germa powers judging from the durability (but thatās a common cyborg trope so idk)
But 004 is interesting as well.
if you look at the photo above, it resembles Yonjiās power (but without the āconnectorsā)
yāknow that thing he can do with disconnecting his arms with the things ( iām sorry i CANNOT explain this well) Although 004 does not have the things that connect yonjiās limbs still, they are very similar.
Next chapter- Cyborg 009 finally gets made and he is tested-
one thing about his outfit as well as all the other cyborgās outfits ( which was brought up in sangerieās post) is that is looks like soraās outfit.
(the warrior of the sea not sora vinsmoke)
which i find interesting, is it possible that sora was made by germa??? idk. BUT IT COULD HAVE INSPIRED SORA VINSMOKE BEING PART OF GERMA AND ALL THE IRONY IN THAT-
(rant here but i hate 009 like he gets the coolest powers and i get it because heās the most recent one, but at the same time heās half japanese so its probably favoritismā¦)
After 009ās test, he meets the other 8 cyborgs, who immediately detain the scientists who experimented on them and in the beginning of next chapter, they start attacking the scientists 003 (the only girl cyborg) then says that they should not partake in the violence they were made for once the other cyborgs start attacking.
this may just be how all female characters are written but idk man this is giving me reiju vibes š¤· they then take a scientist as hostage and take 009 with them. i know yāall are probably tired of me talking about hairstyles by now but 009ās kinda looks like yonjiās from the side- (if youāre delusional)
(now that Iām really lookin at itā¦ it kinda looks like stealth b;ack hair but less complicated)
It turns out the scientist that was a hostage is actually allied with the cyborgs and his name is dr gilmore. He realized the work he was doing was inhumane and came up with a whole rebellion plan for the cyborgs.
Gilmore then helps the cyborgs hide out in a cave with him. the cyborgs make dinner and 009 learns their powers. during dinner, 009 talks to gilmore where gilmore states that- ā..YOU ARE THE PINNACLE OF CYBER-HUMAN ACHIEVEMENT. MANIFEST IN YOU IS THE SUM OF OUR SUCCESS, VOID OF IMPERFECTIONS, A MASTERPIECE OF WAR TECHNOLOGY.ā 009 then responds that he canāt do what [cyborgs] do, prompting this-
yes, gilmore is a good guy in this story but he STILL holds the core belief of the scientists that experimented on them. This whole talk is common in the cyborg scene yes, but it reminds me a lot of sanji who unlike his siblings, voices his awareness more often and doesnāt joke about such things as humanity, such as the scene where the siblings are laughing over their potential deaths (minus reiju but reiju also doesnāt fit into sanjiās place so sheās hard to place on the spectrum)
Humanity is talked about a lot in this chapter, specifically how much humanity can be taken away from you until you are truly a cyborg? or what lengths would people go to prove that they are the strongest nation?
The cyborgs soon get attacked by the black ghost organization trying to get them back. They send non human cyborgs out to defeat them and capture them, but of course our main group of the 9 cyborgs win.
Chapter 8 and 9 donāt have much, so itās not too important BUT itās mentioned that the leader of Black ghost MIGHT be a cyborg since he had accelerated (which is just moving really fast so it seems that time has stopped around you and only 009 has been revealed to be able to do this so far). Also in this chapter the cyborgs escape to japan.
In chapter 10, black ghost finds their cyborgs in japan and theyāre doing good at fighting back But then Black ghost unleashes their new āweaponā on them-
Cyborg 0010. Thatās a stupid name though so weāre just gonna stick with Cyborg 010. 010 has been sent to kill them all, however unlike the other 9 he does not view the other cyborgs as family, as he is stronger than them, and eve THEIR attacks donāt work on him. 010 also has acceleration like 009 because heās better than them whatever whatever. turns out 010 is actually two cyborgs- plus and minus (yāknow how electricity works with a negative and positive charge) theyāre then defeated by 009 when he runs them into eachother, as positive and negative charges neutralize power and cyborgs need power.
Whatās interesting is the after battle scene.
the two cyborgs who were 010 were brothers, and their last scene is them finally holding hands.
009 acknowledges this, and brings up its kinda fucked that the brothers couldnāt even touch or else they would die. now I AM REACHING BUT LISTEN!!! In the 2001 anime, (and in most adaptations) the 010 brothers have a red and blue color scheme, representing the negative and positive charges.
ā¦ NIJI has a blue color scheme possibly representing a NEGATIVE charge of electricity.
(idk what relevance this has but itās a kinda cool fact I mean I could go into the ichiji and Niji dynamic and how I interpret it but hey I think this is long enough)
IMMEDIATELY AFTER We then get this new cyborg thatās non human looking called 0011 (iām calling him 011)
itās revealed heās given the condition to defeat the cyborgs
so he can be returned to his true body -
of course cyborg 009 tries to use the power of friendship but he gets this response, different from 010ās response of violence towards the pleas-
he considers stopping, but realizes he has to look out for himself. NOW LISTEN I MIGHT BE REACHING AGAIN BUT CONSIDER- in germa the code is basically the weakest get left behind, so basically itās just ālook out for yourselfā which is actually a common trope for cyborg characters, but i also find it interesting how after WCI in the germa cover story they defy this ālook after for yourselfā trope as itās ichiji and reiju who go out for the other two against judgeās wishes, and it makes you wonder, yes the scientists had created monsters but who is truly the monster in this situation? going back to cyborg 011 heās defeated pretty quickly and he says this-
Cyborg 009 is a series that truly encapsulates the tropes present in stories about cyborgs, and this one here is common, where itās painful to live as someone experimented on, risking your own life as you believe itās lost your value. But thereās more. 011 delivered this speech afterwards-
if you ignore the last two things that 011 says that alludes to the poison rain thatās currently raining down his speech reflects a possibility in the future of one piece. what am i referring to?
hey do you guys remember the death pact š
HEAR ME OUT HERE
it would be wonderful if we got to see a speech like this from a character who had been experimented on and could no longer feel (sanji possibly) anyways stopping my rant there before i start going off track, let me wrap up chapter 10 of cyborg 009. So the rain is poison like mentioned earlier and then they get better after a while and yeah thatās it really š¤·
anyways i hope you enjoyed this rant that says 5 things about germa and has me going insane about the rest of it lmk if I should keep readin cyborg 009š§āāļø

Rating all* the Hellfire Gala 2023 Outfits in my Correct Opinion
*At least, all that I can find, because Marvel decided fuck making that easy in a little book or a single post like last year.
(Long post alert!)
Iceman, I love most of this look. The accented orange is perfect for the mostly blue look, and I love that he has a matching earring for his cuff-links. Such a nice touch! But those rubber boots, man... those rubber boots ruin it for me. 8/10
Fisk is giving off some Doctor Doom vibes with this outfit. I love the regalness of it, especially the golden leaves behind the ear. 9/10
??? I'm not sure who this is, but their outfit looks like they're going to a Halloween party rather than a gala. 3/10
Emma, oh my god, YES. Almost always delivering, and this is definitely one of those cases! 10/10
Xavier... I hate to say it, but I genuinely love this look. He's bringing major space man vibes, and it's super elegant at the same time. 9/10
Bishop doesn't even get points for effort. He got a red suit then slapped some belts on it. Boring as fuck. 1/10
I was about to write another "???" because I had no idea who this was, until it occurred to me that I think this is supposed to be Scarlet Witch? Except she is super duper whitewashed, so I did not even recognize her. Auto-failure regardless of the look. 0/10
Proteus looks moderately snazzy, but out of the Five is the least interesting in my opinion. 3/10
Egg has a cool coat, but those balls around his neck are way too big and awkward. 4/10
Hope looks a little like a fairy princess here, and I like that! 7/10
Tempus looks like she's going to a prom more than a gala, and I don't know what's going on with that giant shoulder piece. Did Cable lend it to her or something? 4/10
Elixir, my golden boy, is embracing the shiny and I love it! 9/10
Exodus seems to be trying out a new costume rather than a gala look, but in terms of style, it's fine. 5/10
Vision's outfit is as boring as he is. 1/10
Miles, holy shit. Miles should be giving lessons to everyone else on how to actually make a suit look unique! Bishop, take notes. 9/10
Old Laura looks like she's dressed for a gothic funeral more than a gala, but at least that's to her style rather than some crazy OOC look. So, points for that. 5/10
T'Challa... I. Am. Swooning. I know he's not a king right now but damn does he ever look like it in this outfit. The beautiful patterns and complimentary colours, holy shit. 10/10
Synch has certainly done way better in the past. It's just a plain black suit without a shirt, for fuck sake. 2/10
Captain Marvel looks like she's a marching bad, lol. The stars in the hair are a nice touch, though. 3/10
Jean's look is, I know, divisive. I've seen some people say they adore this design, and some people say they hate it. I'm personally on the fence. I think it would be better without the stupid helmet, that's for sure. And I think it looks a little too much like an Emma Frost design, if you were to just colour it white. 5/10
Fantomex? Where the fuck have you been? Anyway, he literally just looks like he always looks but with some sunglasses lmfao. 0/10
Dylan looks like a moody teen as ever, lol. I do like the black and white though. 6/10
Black Cat... Like I said, I like black and white together, but this is giving me too much Cruella de Vil vibes. 4/10
Mary Jane just picked up an evening gown off the rack I guess. 2/10
Firestar, I think? Not actually positive if it's her. Anyway, the sleeves are a bit too much for me, but I love the fiery frills on the cape. 5/10
Thor looks so ugly here lmfao I'm sorry but I hate this look. It's way too clunky. 0/10
At first I thought this was Kwannon, but then I remembered seeing panels and I believe it's Kitty/Kate. Anyway, I like the lace-up boots and I like the frills. 7/10
Hellcat looks like she's took some inspiration from a wrestler's pre-fight look, and I like that. It's simplistic but just enough stylish to pass. 6/10
Nova, going with a tits out look as well I see. I like the feathered shoulder pads, and I like the skirt. 6/10
Moon Knight, oh my god, I have a strong feeling it was Steven who pulled the strings to get a gala look, because there's no fucking way Marc or Jake would be caught dead there. Anyway, this is exactly the type of vibe I would expect from MK, maybe even a bit more playful than that with the mesh part of the top. And I really like it up until the strange boots. He and Iceman must've compared notes or something. Still, 8/10
Psylocke - now THIS is Kwannon for sure! I like the classical ninja meets evening gown look, and I like that she's sexy but not to the point of being objectified, which is a refreshing change for how artists often treat her. 8/10
Destiny and Mystique I will rate together because the score is the same: A what the fuck level of 0/10.
Forge looks fucking awesome, especially compared to last year. I love the fringe and the scarf and the jewellery and the cane... it's a complete look that gives me great vibes. 8/10
Cyclops, come on, man. You can do better than this, can't you? He looks like Mister Sinister dressed him or something. 1/10
Cuckoos look like they stepped off the set of Tron: Legacy. Or a Daft Punk concert. Not complaining to be clear, this look fucks. 10/10

I'm gonna give you guys just a few of the ideas for ALL the voices before I draw them. Because I wanna share so muchhhhh I'm so excited working on all this!
Both spoilers and just long
Hero: Superhero appearance with wings shaped like a cape, even if he's most "human" Though I can make an argument being a superhero to help people is the most human out of the voices.
Broken: hhhh he's my comfort guy. I do have a lot of doodles of him with plucked feathers. [and I don't just mean bald spots, the stems are still in the body] But I wanna add more... diving offering based things for his...opinions on the Tower Princess
Cheated: Oh he needs a X on his chest as a general princess parallel for her being cheated from life too. Also cuts from the Razer princess. Past that, not sure.
Cold: I abandoned the idea of making him look like he was made of icicles, to be wrapped in his wings "But he's a voice numb to the cold, he is the cold itself, why would he be getting himself warm with his wings-?" Because I like that he is cozy within himself. ah? that cool? No? don't care, i'm commited
Contrarian: God I wanna do more past the jester idea and something with his Stranger route arc BUT UGH IDEA MAKING IS HARD. I have a draft of him like a jester for now...
Hunted: I'm gonna reuse the ripped off feathers idea for him. My chickens fight for domanice sometimes so I have a good reference for the appearance. probably bite marks on his wrists and an additional claw. not like a new hand, it's like this thing
Opportunist: EEEHEHEH it's hard to describe without devolving but it's.... a illusion to a Devil pretending to be a Angel thing in visuals, but in representation he isn't a devil just mischievous.I also added the fun ribbons from the Princess and the Dragon chapter.
Paraniod: Heart. Lungs. Liver. Nerves. Oh come on how could I not add them??? also just ruffles up feather coat and wings. he's gonna get a REALISTIC heart design on his chest btw, not a cartoon one [unlike another voice~]
Skeptic: little hard to figure out i'm still thinking about him maybe detective since he doesn't know what's true and wants to find the truth?
Stubborn: KNIGHT. He is a knight. Warrior!!! the willpower to fucking come back to live is badass. I might make a colored drawing JUST FOR HI because I would love him to have some orange for a Phenoix vibe
SMITTEN: MY BELOVED VOICE. HE'S MY FAV Cupid. He's a Cupid and no one can convince me otherwise. Cute cartoon heart imagery, dainty angel [like cartoon cupids] wings, a nice gown. It suits him
i wanna also say. I am not dressing up the voices, I thought feather shaping language would be fun. Though I didn't have that as a "hard rule to follow". Smitten was the first I drew and he's gonna keep the gown
Also part of me REALLY wants to do "evolved forms" of the voices because of the paths they have a huge role in. Like I saw @beartitled with a Goth Smitten form from the Happily Ever After Chapter because of the HUGE role he had and how much of a evil voice he was. [loved your art btw if you see this, it's inspiring to see :D]
Btw I love the Smitten even more because of that route. Not because I like his actions as the epitomy of "Amatonornativity Standards in the World" but because it shows how much more depth he has and also how too much of this one voice/feeling can be super bad. Like it's such a interesting arc on his end alone and the entire chapter is amazing but now i'm rambling.
