Hi, I’m glad you’re bringing this topic up without it feeling like you’re going to be rude—in fact you’re being kind about it.
I do wish she’d speak up on a lot of topics. I live in the south, but am not a “typical southerner”. I’m a queer liberal. I would’ve loved for her to say something about the reproductive rights that were taken away from my state the very week she played multiple shows here, but she didn’t. Or to have voter registration available at the venue.
But back to Palestine, which is an absolute genocide. I’ve been torn wondering if I’m simply wanting her to speak up on it because it’s what I believe is right—or do I think it would effect change? I don’t know the answer to that, but you seem better versed than I am, and I guess I’m hoping this is a safe space to ask that. What would we hope comes from Taylor speaking out about this? I am trying to think critically about this, so I hope you won’t see this as me disagreeing. I really do wish she would. I just don’t if what we’re asking of her would end up being performative for the public, or would it effect real change to save lives in Palestine?
Hi anon, firstly, I’m so sorry to hear that your reproductive rights were stripped from you and your fellow citizens. If there’s anything I can do to help – whether that be signing a petition or donating to women in need – please let me know.
Secondly, I do want to make sure this is a safe space for swifties (especially those of us who are minorities and often feel overlooked in the fandom) to express their thoughts because its important that we use our critical thinking skills as opposed to following someone blindly and without question (we’re not sheep, after all).
To answer your questions, “What would we hope comes from Taylor speaking out about this?” and “would it effect real change to save lives in Palestine?” there are 2 main points worth discussing.
Firstly, the most obvious point is that Taylor herself believes in activism and has stated that "I need to be on the right side of history". For reference, please see her Miss Americana documentary, her Rolling Stone interview on discussing white privilege as well as a bunch of other times she has made her stance clear (Tweets about Trump, interviews in her Lover era, her speech during Pride Month etc.).
Unfortunately, because she no longer participates in activism and hasn’t for a long time now during the peak of her career, it’s fair to criticise her previous activism during her Lover era as performative or selective.
It begs the question, “Does she no longer care about standing up for what is right?”
Secondly, to answer your question: yes, speaking out and doing the right thing matters and makes a difference. And there are three reasons for this:
The principle: to be on the right side of history
Safety of the oppressed (recently, Swifties have been caught committing hate crimes against minorities and doxing Palestinians)
It makes a difference (e.g. donations feed the hungry and poor, awareness leads to better voting outcomes which in turn leads to better policy decisions).
I’ve already spoken about the first point.
The second point is especially relevant following recent events where Swifties have harmed minorities (see below). In this case, it’s important for an influential leader of a powerful fandom to make their stance clear on a genocide so that innocent people don’t get harmed.
And the third point is that activism matters because it creates a real impact. For example, The Weeknd recently donated millions of dollars to families in Gaza which means people who are starving and are victims of genocide can at least be fed. Because Taylor is a billionaire, she has the capacity to spare a few dollars to feed those who are starving like her celebrity peers – Gigi Hadid, The Weeknd, Dua Lipa etc.
This is especially important for Taylor because the IDF and the State of Israel use her and her music in their PR strategies (see their post about her bodyguard on the social media account of Israel). This is similar to when Trump and the Republicans actively used her in their PR strategies and spoke about how much they liked her and so she became a darling of the extreme Right. That was until she came out and said she was against white supremacy and showed public support for the Dems.
Finally, as @placeinthisworld so eloquently put it, “friendly reminder you can love taylor swift but still be critical about her silence about politics and current events because tbh it’s pretty obvious where her values lie now”. Here are other Swiftie’s who are more articulate than me:
Anyway, I hope this answers the question of why her fans (including me) are disappointed in her decision to remain deathly silent on genocide.

“I’m least likely to believe someone if they’re being aggressive in my inbox”
You’re in OUR tag, first of all. Obviously people are fed up with you and your hypocritical nonsense, and I’m willing to put money on it that the “aggression” is just that: people fed up with seeing you defend everyone and everything that has to do with Taylor and then turning a blind eye to the messed up crap that swifties do
You flooding our tag isn’t going to make us listen to you. It’s not gonna make us hear you out. It’s not gonna make us stop and consider what you’re saying. And you know this…so you’re doing this to purposely upset people. If you wanna talk to antis then send us asks! Don’t invade our space. You don’t like it when toxic antis do it, so why are you? Hypocrisy. Fork found in kitchen!
If you take two seconds, most antis will answer your RESPECTFUL asks with respect as well, and the ones who don’t are no better than toxic swifties. I could write a list of things I hate about the anti community but you don’t say anything about toxic swifties, who are objectively worse. Sorry, but antis aren’t the ones who have a reputation. Y’all are, and it’s for a reason. Call out your own community
You don’t believe anything because you don’t want to. And you have the audacity to say you don’t think people will ever take swifties seriously because we group y’all in with the toxic ones…you are the toxic ones. You are the epitome of what we be talking about.
What's funny about this ask is the same thing could be said about antis, if not all of it.
Being fed up with my posts shouldn't justify being aggressive/abusive in my inbox. It's not surprising you're okay with this behavior.
I don't flood the tag. And I did not make this with the intention of people listening. I made it with the intention of calling out antis who take things too far. I'm not doing it to upset people. That's your own problem if you can't ignore my posts.
I don't feel comfortable coming into any of your inboxes. Wanna know why? Because a large amount of you are hateful. And a lot of your posts run on hatred.
You're wrong on antis reputation. Thanks to the popular blogs in your community, you have a reputation of doxxing, harassing swifties who haven't done anything. Going outside your community just to gossip or harass them. Your community may have been mellow a few years ago but that changed in 2023 and 2024. Instead of attacking me, maybe you should call out the toxic people in your own community?
I don't defend every single swiftie. But I will defend them if they are getting harassed or doxxed. I'm not going to call out swifties when they are not doing the same things you are doing. You guys are not innocent. Stop acting like it.

Aaron Dessner Talks Taylor Swift’s New Album folklore
By: Sam Sodomsky for Pitchfork Date: July 24th 2020
Like millions of people across the world, Taylor Swift spent the past few months in isolation, stuck at home, changing plans, reflecting on the past, and imagining new connections. One of those new connections was with Aaron Dessner, the multi-instrumentalist and producer from the National.
On release day, he called us from his home in the Hudson Valley to speak about their entirely virtual but highly collaborative process, sounding just as surprised as anyone. “Nobody needs to tell Taylor Swift how to write a song - and I certainly didn’t,” he says with a laugh. “But it did feel like we were going toe-to-toe pushing each other.”
What is your personal relationship with Taylor Swift’s music? I’ve always admired her craftsmanship and talent. But 1989 was the first one I was really listening to as a fan. My brother [Bryce Dessner, guitarist in the National] and I were in Iceland with [performance artist] Ragnar Kjartansson, and he’s a total Swiftie. It was the summer of 1989, and we’d be hanging out listening to it loud. Ragnar is an art historian, so he was just contextualizing every moment. It was a lot of fun. That’s when we became bigger fans.
When did you actually meet her for the first time? We met her at Saturday Night Live in 2014 when Lena Dunham was hosting. And then she came to see us play last summer in Prospect Park during this crazy torrential downpour. She was there with Antoni [Porowski] from Queer Eye. She talked a lot with my brother and me. That’s when we realized how much of a fan she was, and how lovely and down to earth. I don’t know that many people who have that sort of success, so it’s a nice feeling to realize they’re cool. That left a good impression.
She got in touch again at the end of April. I got a text and it said, “Hey it’s Taylor. Would you ever be up for writing songs with me?” I said, “Wow. Of course.” It was a product of this time. Everything we had planned got cancelled. Everything she had planned got cancelled. It was a time when the ideas in the back of your head came to the front. That’s how it started.
You ended up with a credit on 11 of the 16 songs. How did the collaboration get going? At the very beginning of March, Justin Vernon and I had gone to Texas to work on the new Big Red Machine album. I had been living with my family in France as COVID was starting to spiral out of control in Europe. I said to my wife that maybe they should come back to the States with me because I was worried about getting separated. So we got tickets, and my kids and wife flew to [the family’s home in] Upstate New York and I flew to Texas. I was there for a week, and by the time I got back Upstate, the borders were being shut and we got stuck. I have the Long Pond studio here, so in a way it was lucky.
I hunkered down here and started to write a ton of music - more than I ever have. I thought maybe they were National or Big Red Machine ideas or maybe something totally different. Things were happening.
So when [Taylor] reached out, I had this large folder of ideas that were pretty well on their way. She was very clear that she didn’t want me to edit any of my ideas; she wanted to hear everything that was interesting to me at this moment, including really odd, experimental noise. So I made a folder of stuff, including some pretty out-there sketches. A few hours later, she sent “Cardigan,” fully written in a voice memo. That’s when I realized that this was unusual—just the focus and clarity of her ideas. It was pretty astonishing. Over the next couple months, this would just happen; all of a sudden, I’d get a voice memo. And then another. Eventually, it was so inspiring that I wrote more ideas that were specifically in response to what she was writing.
When did it occur to you that an album was forming? There were moments when we started to reflect on what we were doing. The first three songs we wrote were “Cardigan,” “Seven,” and “Peace.” “Cardigan” is probably the closest to a pop song on the record—it’s this epic narrative. And then “Seven” was this nostalgic, wistful, emotional folk song. And then when she wrote “Peace,” I realized she can do anything! She is so versatile. It’s just a harmonized bassline with a pulse and a drone, and she basically wrote a Joni Mitchell love song to it. She only did one vocal take, and that’s what’s on the record.
Were you communicating through the whole process? Yeah. We were pretty much in touch daily for three or four months by text and phone calls. Some of it was about production and restructuring things but a lot of it was just excitement. We both felt that this was some of the best work we have done. That was a strange and surreal thing to have happen, especially at this time.
At one point I was randomly doxxed by right-wing conspiracy theorists who misidentified me as an Antifa organizer in Ohio, long story, but it was in the middle of all this work. I didn’t want to stress her out so I didn’t tell her. But at some point she laughed and said, “So you’re a notorious anarchist?” And I’m like, “Yeah, I was gonna mention that."
How did the collaboration with Bon Iver on “Exile” come about? Taylor wrote that one with the singer-songwriter William Bowery. When Taylor sent it to me as a voice memo, she sang both the male and female parts - as much as she could fit in without losing her breath. We talked about who she was imagining joining her, and she loves Justin [Vernon]’s voice in Bon Iver and Big Red Machine. She was like, “Oh my god, I would die if he would do it. It would be so perfect.” I didn’t want to put pressure on Justin as his friend, so I said, “Well, it depends on if he’s inspired by the song but I know he thinks you’re rad.” Which he does.
So I sent him the song and he was really into it. He tweaked some parts and added parts as well - the bridge where he says, “Step right out.” The end too, and his choral parts. It was fun because Justin and I work on a lot of stuff together, so it was very easy and natural. At some point I felt like a superfan, hearing two of my favorite singers. This was all being done remotely, but it was one of those moments where your head hits the back of the wall and you’re like, “Fuck. Okay.”
There is some fan debate over William Bowery’s identity - I’m not familiar with him. I’m not either. I haven’t actually met him because of social distancing, which is kind of funny. I think he’s a friend.
Did you feel the pressure of working with an artist at Taylor Swift’s level? I tried hard not to think about the scope or scale of making a record that would be heard by millions and millions of people. I did a pretty good job of tuning that out. Music for me is an emotional necessity. It’s therapy. It’s what I live and breathe. All these songs are things I was working on already, and we both felt there was some serendipity in the fact that we ended up in this situation together. I just stayed focused on that, on making this as good as we can.
As the release got closer, I almost thought it wouldn’t happen. Or maybe I just told myself that! The National guys will tell you the same thing - I tend to work until the last possible minute. I didn’t really have a moment to be like, “Holy shit! People are gonna hear this.” We were joking about it last night. I said, “So this actually happened?” And she goes, “Yep!”
What was it like working under total secrecy? There was no outside influence at all. In fact, nobody knew, including her label, until hours before it was launched. For someone who’s been in this glaring spotlight for 15 years, it’s really liberating to have some privacy and work on her own terms. She deserves that. At times, if I wanted friends to play on the record, it was a little difficult because you can’t send a file with her vocals. But everyone was cool. At the end, I reached out to some wizards just to add bits, and that was nice. It was kind of fun: “What? Why can’t you tell me, Aaron?” Then they start guessing. Everyone made a game out of it.
Is there any music that was left on the cutting room floor? There are things I feel could still be songs. It does feel like an ongoing collaboration. Now Taylor is starting to help with other things. We’re bouncing other ideas off each other, whether it’s Big Red Machine or other things. There’s a community aspect. I think that’s how music should be.
#the anarchist comment...please lmao =)#also this could mean she is writing for Bon Iver? or their side projects? now THAT I wouldn't mind at all#Aaron Dessner#interview#about taylor#taylor swift#pitchfork#folklore era#folklore album#release week

One thing I do about the difference between the 1D fandom and Swifties is that Kaylors are a very small and insignificant subset of the Swifties. I thought they were loud, but it’s like one of those small, yapping dogs that makes a lot of noise, but is vicious enough to bite(doxxing). The larries, however, are a big part of 1D, and you can tell by the sm posts they make everywhere. Either that or they are just crazier in relation to numbers. You hardly see Kaylors, but you see a lot of Larries.
I mean there is a lot written on why Larries and ships like that (J Squared, JohnLocke, Charmies etc) exist. A big part of the appeal there is it’s fangirls who are attracted to the men and know they can’t have them and so don’t want any other woman to either. It’s also just a fetish right like people who are into men enjoy thinking about hot men fucking. But I’d say that second group is less prevalent in like conspiracy ships - that’s more things like Fassy x McAvoy of Jackrry or whatever, literally just women who are like “fuck ya this gets me off”. The conspiracists are often fangirls who need The Boys to be unavailable to them. These boys are then framed as special and different and “not like other boys” because they’re in this monogamous 🥺🥺 marriage and only have eyes for each other. Fangirls who fuck them are lying. They can’t have done this, because they only want one another. They can’t be bad boyfriends - like the fangirls’ own ones - they’re perfect and special and wonderful.
Then add to that gay girls (and a few gay boys but there are VERY few gay boys in Larrydom that I’ve seen) who get excited about something being gay and jump on the closeting angle and you get…. Larry.
Kays for the most part are motivated for different reasons. They’re mostly queer girls who - like most girls especially and people in general - relate to Taylor and want her to be like them and what the songs to apply to them because they already feel like they do (again, most people do - that’s her talent). The motivation isn’t different to a hetty Swiftie insisting Tay fucked Skarsgard or saying Joe isn’t her type but like idk Henry Cavill is - it’s just a desire to make her one’s avatar and let her live your perfect life, whether that’s fucking Hot Men™️ or Models™️ yk?
But I don’t think that’s as widespread a problem, in part because also like queer girls have their own Gaydars and brains and aren’t just doing this as a weird fantasy fetish thing so when they think about it they’re like “hang on this doesn’t quite make sense lol” and bounce and just like the music. Larries can’t do that because they don’t give a shit about the music, they want to fuck Louis or Harry or both.
Anyway those are just some Monday afternoon thoughts about this.

I would love to hear your thoughts of tswift. But I also understand that people will take it personally and attack you. But I have a very strong feeling we would have similar opinions on the mix of good and bad. ❤️
yes of course! my brain is kinda mush so this won’t be very coherent or whatever but alakaljskd and yeah i am not afraid of being attacked by swifties been there done that have the mental scars and old blog to prove it so. i’m going to try and break it up into parts for my own braincell
also i wnat to state before we start i don’t hate taylor swift, i just get annoyed by things but they’re genuinely my own issue and this isn’t me trying to make woke insights about her just things i’ve said before more organized? i guess
and i know i talk about my opinions here but i hope everyone knows that my inbox is a safe space to air your thoughts and feelings on the matter of her or swifties. i’ll never post something i know will hurt people but i know there aren’t many outlets to discuss
swifties
probably the thing that bothers me the most is the fans, i’m not talking about casual fans i’m not even talking about a good portion of the tumblr fans but there is a serious problem with boundaries and entitlement and harassment in the fandom. i don’t expect taylor swift to comment on everything, really anything, her fans do because lord knows i would not pay half a braincell to some of the things people say if i had as much money as her but i think a majority of fans have gotten to comfortable in the way they treat taylor as a commodity. it only got worse when she left tumblr because now instead of only self reblogging for that semblance of friendship people are STILL harassing and doxxing other swifties that they blame for her absence, even harassing op of the post tm because they feel entitled to taylors attention which is?? gross?? and i understand built her platform on fan connection and having tumblr as that hideaway but i think she let it spin to a point where her online presence is more important than the lives of minorities. not to mention how much drama that occurs and not like “haha THIS is the best song” or “you don’t chomp ice???” but shit that actually hurts peoples feelings as well as takes big tolls on the mental health of swifties when it spirals to the point hours into it where people start to fught back and be like “actually..” (TO BE CLEAR THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE DISCUSSIONS ABOUT LGBTQ+PHOBIA OF ANY KIND, THE DISCRIMINATION AGAINST PEOPLE OF COLOR, OR ANY REAL LIFE FALACIES THAT PUT PEOPLE’S LIVLIHOODS AT STAKE)
activism
i’m sorry but i don’t believe taylor swift is fully trying to be the activist she wants to be as seen in Miss Americana. the post tm was maybe a bit too far but poc should not have been begging for taylor to say anything and she shouldn’t have responded in a begrudging way. she needs to speak up when rights are being taken away from lgbtq+ people not just celebrating the wins. and i’m sorry but her efforts in the senate election (?) a couple years ago was far more than the effort she put into this election. and the thing is it wouldn’t annoy me as much if she didn’t release Miss Americana, before it was the simple “she has a platform she should use it” but after it was her committing to that platform and she just didn’t follow through. and i understand the issue of wanting to be educated but reblogging/ reposting links and ways to support minorities doesn’t require a degree in wokeness, it’s literally just the bare minimum. and i just think there have been some tone deaf or oversights on her part but i know she’s trying it just,,, again a personal thing i have an issue with.
money
i understand we live in a capitalist society but it really really annoys me how outrageous the pricing is on her store. i honestly thought it was getting better in the lover era and then folklore drops, in the middle of a pandemic, and the prices are insane, not to mention how a lot of the stuff is poor quality and takes an asinine amount of time to be delivered and THEN a lot of the packages get lost or ruined outside of the us and like?? the shipping and offers already screw over international fans there’s not even the decency to have a way to track the package and a coherent support center ? idk it bugs me, as well as the 48 limited edition sales cause again,,,,, middle of the pandemic
music
okay i need to state right now: THIS IS A PERSONAL ONE AND ACTUALLY HAS NOTBING TO DO WITH TAYLOR HERSELF AND MORE THE FANS
i really like taylor’s music, i’m not going to act like i don’t. i can’t think about how many times it’s saved me and how many connections i’ve made to it and helped me to connect to things. i love her music, i think she’s the perfect song writer in the hooks she writes and the melodies and messages. she’s insanely talented and one of the greats and she makes sures to uplift other artists as well which a lot of popular artists really struggle with.
but i’m not gonna lie alakalsjjdjf the way some people reacted to folklore drove me up a wall. i LOVE that she’s branching out she literally made my ideal sad low melody album and literally obsessed. but it annoyed me so much the way people talked about it like it was this holy thing when i KNOW that a lot of people typically call that type of music boring, like taylor swift is an incredible songwriter but there are so many unbelievably talented small artists who write incredible intricate sad lyrics that tell a story but they’re constantly pushed aside. i made a more coherent post when folklore first tackle out cause i cant stand fake love of things (i know a lot of people were genuine! but i also know people who were just saying that because it was taylor) and i think people do that often with her music, compare it to others and completely drag other artists down?? and for what? basically my biggest issue here is she always has to be the best at the expense of everyone else being the worst which isn’t how anything works alakaksjjd
misc.
i straight up don’t have anything else to say except i think people should be allowed to dislike taylor swift. this probably isn’t even everything that bugs me about the sphere surrounding her (not nessecarily her herself) but sometimes if people aren’t hurting anyone they’re allowed to dislike things. i know it’s a trend to hate things girls enjoy (which literally if that’s why you hate her fuck off) but i think that too often in her case no opinion is the wrong and bad opinion
closing statements
i love taylor swift’s music i’m never going to deny the impact she’s had on my life the friends i’ve made because of her and even i look up to her in aspects, the way she helped fans during quarantine and continues to support causes important to fans ect. i have no personal vendetta with her.
that being said being involved with her fandom is terrible for my mental health. the “why have i never been noticed” the constant analysis of her music and if you interpret one way that isn’t the general consensus you’re wrong the constant theories the constant drama the pressure of existing with swifties is just too much i can’t do it. and if i have to distance myself from that by making it seem i flat out don’t like her than so be it. at the end of the day i don’t know her she doesn’t know me but the perception of the fandom and public is very real and so. yeah.
** also yeah this has spelling mistakes i don’t give a fuck

I don’t want to say much about this doxxing situation because even though I am part of the queer community, I am someone who has been extremely privileged in that my sexuality has never been a safety issue for me and on the most part, the people who cared about my sexuality were not people I felt I had close bonds to/couldn’t live without.
In saying that, I hope that this makes cishet Swifties realise that queerphobia is extremely present and has been for a long time. Taylor having songs or moments explicitly dedicated to queer fans (WTNY, YNTCD, that Delicate speech) will never change that. Neither will the “acceptance” of queer interpretations. Just like how having mentally ill coded lyrics + a lot of fans interpreting Clean as a rehabilitation song has not changed that there is a whole lot of ableism in this fandom.
Unfortunately what has happened today is not a surprise for me. After seeing this fandom play off Demi Lovato’s (and other celebrities) sexuality and past drug use off as a joke just for disagreeing with Taylor in the past, despite celebrating Taylor for her inclusiveness with the songs listed above as well as the queerphobic things I’ve seen sent to others on this site, part of me felt like it was a matter of time before this happened. But that still doesn’t make what happen hurt any less.
I just hope that those being doxxed are okay and have the love and support they need. And for any other queer Swifties that feel the need to go back in the closet, know that I love you and you are absolutely valid and not betraying yourself or anyone else for doing that. I’m sorry this happened at all, let alone over something so stupid/petty. Please stay safe.

After rereading the update from TCG, I think that I might finally be done supporting Taylor. She's keeping that greedy little bit of stale toast around because she feels "STRESSED AND PRESSURED" & for the public narrative of the album, but it was reported by Kaylornation that Team Swift DID originally have a narrative for "Lover" SANS Toe! Perhaps instead of using a useless & INDISCREET twink as a safety blanket, THERAPY could help her with STRESS. But I guess Taylor LIKES it when WE get DOXXED!
hey anon! I know how you are feeling, it’s really sad because at the beggining of the era she was feeding us and got all of us with hope and positive thougths about it, there were even some kaylors/gaylors getting the courage to come out to their parents with everything that Taylor was bringing but now with that Vogue “come out as straight” and that RS article too I think she won’t come out soon as we were thinking, is really sad and frustrating as fans.
Sometimes I think she likes to play with us the same way she play with swifties/toes with her het narrative, why wouldn’t we think otherwise? at the beginning of the era were some people saying “this is just pr for selling and going to the gay community and to the pride month and then it will be over... just watch it” but back then I was thinkin ‘no, she won’t do that to us’ but it really feels that she did?
I told my friend all about gaylor/kaylor etc and she was hooked too but one day she came to me and said “I’m fucking done with her! she just want your attention and u guys waste so much time and energy on her and she’s not giving a fuck” and I was like “wow that’s harsh” but it’s kinda true?
do I waste my time on her? yes, almost 24/7 it’s a fucking addiction she’s my fucking drug lmfao, do I have the strength to get out? no, I’m weak af! but if one day I wake up and there some news of her and joe engagement I’m fucking over this fandom. don’t know if you follow me for some time but I used to do a lot of posts and trying to see some connections etc but now I’m kinda down with this, here in Brazil we have an expression that is “broxei” (it means when a guy d** is up but when he see something he doesn’t like it goes down) this is how I’m feeling and I honestly think everyone here too, except the hardcore ones.
anon, what should you do? If you can take a break I will advise you that, also she’s not giving us anything, she’s hiding in some cave like Bin Laden lmfao.

Cam’s 1000000% right.
And just FYI re some of my anons who’ve been cunty to her and/or to James when she ran my blog, I would like to emphatically say that people being assholes to my best friend and my girlfriend is very very clearly not done in my name.
You can agree or disagree with whatever fucking blog you want. You can find absolutely anything funny because humor is subjective.
But going and sending anons being rude to someone because they posited Taylor Swift ate a pussy you don’t think she ate is… not where it should be at.
Also idk if she was ever harmless because as someone who has done a lot of research on my good friend, the artist formerly known as TTB, it was always wack af. She was never like “I heard a rumor lmao” - which is how Cam frames shit - it was like some fortune telling bullshit tbh. She’s also, you know, a bigoted right winger (she has said Trump and the Kushners ruined the Republican Party, we have her on tape with that, suggesting she is/was a lil red elephant). She’s also beefed with people who disagree with her literally since day one. Sooooo ya. Wouldn’t exactly call that harmless behavior.
People can like whatever shit they want to like, and we don’t owe agreements to everyone, but making Cam out to be something she emphatically isn’t is fucking uncool.
And one last thing: actually yes, what makes TTB such a fucking menace IS her bigotry and the doxxing, not the fact that she thinks two hot white ladies have a basement bébé. Is the latter… a choice? Yeah lol. But to me personally it’s just… funny. Same as the Robstens. Same as the tinhat Haylors. Same as any weird but insistent cracky ship tbh.
But TTB isn’t like the pendulum gal or the ENDLESSLY ICONIC HatersKnowNothing. Because she is actively harmful.
So don’t throw around allegations that a person who has, as she VERY ACCURATELY SAYS, worked hard to build a supportive and enjoyable community, is the same as a Grade A straight white bitch who has done nothing positive for the world or fandom in the entire time she was online and who made gay Swifties who enjoy speculation look like nutcases and gave a bunch of teens issues AND THEN DOXXED PEOPLE. Like idk guys. Fuck she legit fucking SUCKS. Don’t throw accusations like that around because it makes you suck too.
In a while people will be doing a topic for you just like the one from TTB on reddit, she started out just being harmless just wanting Taylor to have a female muse and ended up obsessing about everything, you don't have to commit crimes like her to become an alienated and make other alienated people like she did...
hey bestie my blog is actually linked in that post! you know why? because i was the blog that L anon felt safe coming to to share her story about being doxxed and outed by ttb. not the toe blogs, not one of your fuckwit anti blogs, or soft kaylor blogs (i cannot tell you people apart anymore you're the same flavor of unreasonable, bad faith, poorly argued idiot - the only thing the toes have going for them is their ship is real but they still act like complete dumbasses when they talk about me) she felt safe coming to my blog.
what have you done to help people in this space? have you spent hours writing up advice and putting together information on mindfulness, self-compassion, and mental health for people? have you been in dms with multiple suicidal people offering a listening ear and trying to help them get into therapy? have you fostered a community of thousands where people have made life long friends, romantic connections, and felt less alone in the loneliest time in our lives? have you created a respite for queer people to feel heard and less alone? no of course you haven't you worthless cretin, but i have. you care so much about shipping toe or kaylor or what the fuck ever other fandom you're here from harassing someone who HAS tried to make the world a slightly better place for a group of vulnerable people. and for what? because i said "maybe taylor swift fucked xyz"? is it worth it to you? to abuse a good person over your fucking ship allegiance? get help you freak. you're more like ttb than i could ever be in a hundred lifetimes.

LOL Taylor Nation retweeting a gay Betty cartoon would not do shit. Because no one takes them seriously, they are there for people to suck up to in hopes of getting on a list to meet Taylor other than that they are roasted constantly. It would have zero influence on anyone arguing with gaylors or psychos doxxing people.
I mean it would be cool for me - and I think a lot of gay Swifties who don’t even see Gay Betty as a thing. Like genuinely I don’t really get it because a girl pulling over and saying “let’s drive” and that having a sexual implication is not something I can conceptualize in high school or even now tbh like if a female acquaintance pulled over and went “hey do you need a ride?” I wouldn’t think she’s hitting on me. But that’s how some fans heard it and it would be awesome if Taylor Nation was like “we dig this!” yk? Because I think it’s cool some people think that and relate to it in that way and BETTY AND JAMES ARE NOT REAL so they can be however you want them to be in your head.
