Okay so I did some research on Seam and realized that it would be a crime to not add him to my AU in someway where him and Jevil reconcile and they escape to the multiverse together and are free and they're best friends and- 😭😭😭

I had a dark story all thought up for this but half way through drawing I changed the story so this isn't really canon anymore?? Or it might be idk- my Deltarune AU is only a few days into development so its constantly changing <XDD Sorry-

TLDR: This story is super dark and interesting to me but it might not be canon XD

ANYWAYS! The story behind this was Jevil and Seam come from a very dark and corrupt AU. Ruled by an even darker and wicked King (Lancers dad). In this AU they were Kings royal Magician and Jester as per usual. They were best friends though and preformed these beautiful displays of magic together. Side by side, hand in hand. They were best friends for years and always dreamed of one day running away together and finding a safe place to live.

Eventually Jevil met someone. Someone who spoke of a way to leave this place. They spoke of walking through your own reflection. And if done right, one could leave their AU entirely.. Jevil believed them out of desperation and tried to tell Seam about it. Seam thought Jevil was losing his mind. Walking through your own reflection? That makes no sense..

King caught wind of them plotting to escape. And as punishment to both of them he commanded Seam to lock Jevil away using his own magic.

In Seams eyes, Jevil was his best friend. His brother, the only thing in this world that he could trust. But he was more afraid of what King would do to him or Jevil for disobeying him, then he was willing to stand up against him. So while believing Jevil was sick in the head and needed help, he acted out of cowardice and sealed Jevil away..

I'm thinking that eventually sometime later, Jevil is able to escape through his own reflection. A mirror. And either he goes back and sees Seam dressed in these beautiful robes and thinks "well the king must be treating him well. Guess I'll just leave him to reap the benefits of betraying me.. >:(" And leaves with a bitter heart. THAT, or he just left. Never going back to check on Seam or see if King was treating him well or not.

So the AU continues. With Jevil traveling from world to world, meeting new people and learning new things.. When eventually he's with the whole gang and they're all sitting in a restaurant or something.

When Jevil suddenly feels this overwhelming sense of doom. Something horrible is about to happen to Seam. He just knows it, its in his bones. Deep within his soul he can feel it. He knows- he needs to save him.

He falls back out of his chair into a mirror and heads straight for his old AU. Showing up just in time to stop Seam from.. well..

They end up talking. Turns out that after Jevil was imprisoned, Seam tried to sneak down to the basement and visit him. He wanted to apologize for imprisoning him and explain himself- but he was caught by King.

"I just wanted to see him!"

"For that I will take your eye."

"NO! Please don't take my eye!!"

"For talking back, I will take your voice too."

King took Seams eye and stitched his mouth shut. He could still talk but not very well. To make things worse, when Jevil escaped? Seam thought he had died. Why wouldn't he? His magical barrier was never broken and Jevil was gone. Surly he must have died somehow.. Meanwhile everyone else was under the impression that Seam let Jevil escape because they were friends.

Seam then suffered greatly for years as punishment for "letting Jevil escape". He was bound by these magical chains made by King. He was abused for years and at this point he had enough. But before he could do anything rash.. Jevil returned.

Jevil then felt the sinking horror realizing that he left Seam alone in this world to be abused by King. He abandoned him. After all those years of promising to one day run away together..

Seam betrayed Jevil, and Jevil abandoned Seam.

After realizing all of this and having a long emotional talk. Seam and Jevil deeply apologized to the other, and forgave each other. Marking the beginning of their new friendship. And despite Seam feeling like he doesn't deserve freedom, he agreed to run away with Jevil and finally be free with him.

Now this story is super cool and morbid and all but now I'm questioning the story and wether or not I want it to be canon <XD

I have some other ideas that I really like too and this one is just a biiiiit dark... ish. I mean I've made worse- but idk I guess this one just has a bad taste to it..

I also like the idea that Seam has been with Jevil this whole time and was the first person he saved. Which motivated him to try and save other people and give them the same freedom that he gave to Seam. But then that would change the Grillby fight and Spamton situation a bit and also maybe effect the Goner kid situation- GAH!! I'll figure it out eventually- <XDD

Long rambly headcanon post about Kerry's sexuality incoming (because I have been thinking about this ever since I first met him in game and I wanna write it down somehwere).

Disclaimer: this is my personal headcanon. You don't have to agree with any of this, this is for fun and games. If you do happen to agree with this though hmu bc I need someone to talk Kerry with desperately xDD

So, first of all: I think Kerry himself doesn't give a fuck about labels. Too old for this shit, confident in his own sexuality, what difference does it make? Labels are great for those who need them, he's not against them at all, but I don't think it's something that's he's thinking about a lot. Is he gonna put on a rainbow shirt for Pride? Yeah why not, especially if his partner would like to go protest and celebrate togther. But I think it's not a top priority of his (at least not anymore, in 2077, at the ripe old age of 89. A young Kerry living in our times was probably louder and a lot more outspoken, but in this post I'm gonna talk about my thoughts on grandpa Kerry).

So, let's dive into the game. When the topic of Louise came up during my first playthrough (the first and only time sadly, I'd love to know more about her as a character - more headcanons incoming in a minute), internally I went like... what? Where does this come from? Not in a judgemental way, just honest surprise, because up until this point, Kerry had only been depicted as attracted to guys (making the saddest puppy eyes at Johnny, making out with a fan backstage, Johnny's various comments on him, their sexual-tension-filled relationship with each other). Beyond that, what we know from Kerry himself, he seemed to have tried to get something going with Ariel (who I think is a man - correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a while since I played the actual conversation between him and Johnny at the villa and I'm not sure if he mentions Ariel's gender there). In the Temperance ending, if V was in a relationship with Kerry, Kerry will recount his other shitty exes of which at least one was also a man, and in the Sun ending, when his (male) manager calls, V can ask if that is "an ex of [his]".

That being said... yeah, Kerry flirts with V regardless of gender. Why? Maybe he doesn't know that himself, maybe he thinks V is cute, maybe it's a power play, maybe he just wants to annoy Johnny who cannot escape the situation, who knows, anything goes. His whole rockstar persona is this carefree, laidback sexgod thing, of course he's gonna be flirty. He is flirty with the Us Cracks girls, too (at least I'm getting the impression - they definitely are flirty with him and he doesn't mind, but it could also all be part of the show). So me personally, yeah, I think Kerry is bisexual, but with a strong preference for guys (sincerely, me, a bisexual who also has a preference for guys). Maybe Louise was his bisexual awakening, or a once-in-a-lifetime thing that never happened again with any other woman, or a mix of both. See also: Kerry turns a female-presenting V down when things get serious. Flirting is fun, she is nice and kind and into it, so why the hell not? But he's not gonna lead her on when he notices she wants more than what he's willing to give. Friends can flirt with each other without it turning romantic or sexual. And yeah, I think Kerry is generally attracted to people regardless of what's in their pants, but as soon as things get serious he is infinitely more likely to go for a guy than for a woman.

That being said (and now we're back at Louise), I think it's absolutely fair to headcanon him as gay, too. There is so little we know about the nature of his only (canonically depicted, spelled-out "that's my ex-wife" style) long-term relationship with a woman. This is the dark future, where you can genetically engineer your child to look however you want it to look. Maybe Kerry and Louise were just two sad and lonely individuals that were like "let's raise kids together to fill the void in our hearts!" - and, using Kerry's words, that went as well as you'd expect it. Could be that Louise is a lesbian who wanted a family and kids, and Kerry, being a close friend of hers, said yeah let's do it (and maybe I won't be so fucking lonely anymore and find a new purpose in being a father)! And for reason xyz it was easier to raise the kids if they were also married (something something about getting married to be allowed to have kids - I etiher heard or read something in game once about a 1-child-license or something, again, dark future fuckery could be involved here). Also, historically, there are certainly countless examples of queer men marrying queer women to get their conservative families off their backs. With how little we know about Louise, not even how old she was when they got together, it could also be something like that. And (turning back now to Kerry's flirty behaviour around women when someone else is watching) everything else could have been part of the show - for families, for the media, for the public, for the fans, everything goes.

What I'm trying to say, there's hundreds of ways to headcanon a fictional character's sexuality. Maybe Louise and Kerry were friends with benefits, maybe they fell madly in love, maybe there's more women in Kerry's past than what the game depicts (there's countless women's clothing items across his villa - that could be anything from leftovers of wild parties in which he wasn't involved to him taking home groupies and everything beyond that and inbetween).

You could also just say "Kerry is gay cause I say so, that's as deep as it gets" and that is just as valid. Don't be like me and spend your sleepless nights thinking about this because my brain works in mysterious ways. If you wanna headcanon him as gay because it brings you comfort, wholeheartedly, go for it. If you wanna heacanon him as not turning down your female V because it brings you comfort, go for it, by all means! If you wanna headcanon him as cis, trans, everything inbetween, hell yes, be my guest!!

Kerry is a fictional character, he's not gonna be offended or hurt. And every real person who gets upset about how someone else likes to play with their favourite pixel ken doll then, well... touch some grass @ that person. Headcanons do not take away representation from marginalized groups. Block and blacklist what you don't wanna see and move on, it's so easy (and on that note, anyone who wants to be weird or hateful on this post is gonna get blocked, too xD).

As I said, this is all my thoughts and opinions, if you don't agree, that's fair, I get it, I don't agree with 80% of headcanons I come across (not even just regarding a characters sexuality, but in general). But yeh I'd also love to talk if you have similar views on him!

Just wanna say, thank you for giving a space where I feel better to word my crticisms for GOS2. It's funny, in real life, everyone I watched the show with agrees that there's a massive tone shift between season 1 and 2 and that we don't particularly like it, yet when I come on tumblr, everyone screams at me how perfect everything was. Which is fine, it's great for them if they truly loved it, for me, there's just too much drama.

Thing is, I'm a huuuge fan of the book, simply because as someone raised in a church who took the Second Coming very serious, Good Omens the book managed continuously to make me laugh about something that used to terrify me as a child. It was a very healing experience to me, also since it's rather a jab at conservative anglicanism than anything else, so I didn't feel weird as a Christian to read it. And that was a first for me with a fictional media dealing with angels and demons.

But now with the second season, it's basically what Christian-inspired fantasy always looked like and I'm tired. Also, because apparently, Aziraphale just can't get it right, anymore, hated how the 19th-century-plot made look Crowley the reasonable one NO MATTER WHAT. (Also, where does this fit with Zira canonically having done several temptations at this point?)

Also, I actually am an Ineffable Husbands shipper, yet I cannot tell you to what end this kiss frustrated me. Simply because I ship them as my one fluff couple and in my hc, they always smoothly transitioned from being friends to lovers. And that's why this dramatic love declaration and kiss from Crowley feel so out of place for me. It makes me sad, also as a queer person, because I cannot remember one queer couple ever on screen which was just allowed to be functional and not angsty. (I mean, yes, heartstopper, but this show got problems all on its own) It just feels weird that, in my impression, now that we go into the romantic direction with these two, we also need to get ~drama~.

But well, moving on~

That's interesting what you said about the Good Omens book/show experience while being religious! The book did seem more edgy (for lack of a better word) and poked fun at religious themes more light-heartedly while the show does seem to approach it more......Supernatural-y......😂 also yeah, I saw somebody else say this but show!Aziraphale doesn't seem like one that would even agree to the Arrangement in the first place.

About the kiss I recently found that I made an incredibly accurate prophecy last year HAHA

But yeah, the book boys definitely have "old married couple" energy, where as the show ones are still......working through things. (The one queer couple on screen that's functional and not angsty is Benuit Blanc and his husband from Glass Onion, btw /hj)

Percy Jackson where everything’s the same except one time during a camp counselors meeting Percy refereed to Luke as “Kronos bitch” and everyone thought it was hilarious. So now Percy’s got a running gag of referring to Luke as “Kronos bitch” that at some point (he doesn’t know when) transformed into “Luke is a sugerbaby” so now a good 65% to 75% of the camp refer to Luke as either “Kronos bitch” or “the sugerbaby”

and that continues and it’s great and funny until Percy calls Luke Kronos bitch to his face during a fight and what once was a absolutely amazing joke changes vibes real fast when Luke’s cheeks and ears go bright red and now Percy’s not so sure it’s just a joke anymore.

As much as I don't like Kronos/Luke, this is hilarious xDD

Okay, but now Percy can't think about anything else, just that delicious pink on Luke's cheeks and the more he thinks about that, the more he wants to become his sugar daddy.

I keep forgetting to send these in XD stuff I've thought of for the ship Grycho (you don't have to post publicly if you don't want to, I just wanted to be able to use italics and stuff)

- I'm not sure how you imagine they got together. But me personally, I think it might have been like a slow burn situation. Like maybe they got separated from the others somehow (whether it be for a mission or they got in trouble), and now they have to work together. Maybe whatever this situation, they'd see sides to each other they didn't see before, and it brings them closer ^^

(Either thar or, alternate scenario that's kinda crack, they were together but broke up before the gang got together, and are nowkinda bitter exes (or rather they're still in love and don't want to admit it) and that's why they fight all the time)

- Ok so I they did get together, I imagine they'd deal with their drastic horny levels in one of two ways. One, either Psycho will sleep with Greasy (when he's in the mood) for him. Or two, they make like some sort of agreement that Greasy can still go out and find someone to sleep with, as long as he always comes back home to Psycho (I'll be honest, I like the second option a bit more. It's sweet that they'd trust and love each other that much)

- if it's the latter, Psycho would be all over Greasy as soon as he comes home. Partially because he missed his boyfriend, and partially to get the smell of another person off of him (this will also become an indicator to the others whether or not Greasy got some. So Greasy can't lie about his fuck number anymore XD

Greasy: "Oh, I found a particularly beautiful woman last night. We had quite the time too~"

Wheezy: *glancing at Psycho, who's just doing his own thing right now* "... Really?"

- I'm not sure which I like better; them fighting less because they're now in love and becoming one of those complete opposite couples thar rarely fight, or they still butt heads, but now the other weasels won't try to intervene because they know that Greasy abd Psycho are going to be gross (as Smartass would put it) again in like fifteen minutes... Kinda like Tiffany and Chucky XD

(Omg. AU where Greasy and Psycho are Tiffany and Chucky. Who would be Glen and Glenda? (Stupid and Y/N from the Smartass' daughter AU XD))

- Also, since they're boyfriends, they can now do more missions together WITHOUT anyone else tagging along to be a mediator between them. I like to think that they have the potential to be a dangerous duo.

- If Psycho can get away with it, he'll refuse to eat anything that isn't Greasy's cooking. If he's starving, he'll accept a sandwich. But he would prefer his boyfriends food anyway.

Psycho: "No! I'm not hungry!" *liar*

Wheezy: "Look, Greasy has been gone for hours, and I'm pretty certain he's gonna be gone for another few. So please, just fucking eat sonething."

Psycho: "... No."

Wheezy: *smokes harder*

- not really a headcannon, more like a crack idea; in your Smartass' daughter story, Greasy and Psycho become Y/N's crazy gay unkles. If they didn't live with each other, Smartass would be like "Oh fuck they're coming over." Whenever he gets news that they're dropping by (assuming they'd even give him a warning XDD)

(Which also makes me think of when Jessica was asking 'What if she likes girls' in your last chapter. I can't stop imagining Greasy and Psycho just looking at each other in humor/sarcasm like "Omg babe, are we homophobic?" "I dunno, our pre-outing make-out session was pretty sus." XD)

OOOOOH I'm picturing the Toon Patrol have to make a quick getaway and Greasy and Psycho were too busy fighting to notice- and then the van is gone and they're left alone together for the f i r s t time ever. They manage to find a phone, call Smartass, and ask what the motherfucking heck happened. When he basically says 'we had ta get outta there. You bozos were too slow. Now get a motel room and we'll come getcha in a week'.

And thus, their rom com beginning XD Greasy and Psycho stuck in a seedy motel with only eachother for a week (Possibly more is Smartass is feeling particularly mischeivious- or Wheezy pays him).

I love the second option too!! But like, imagine if Psycho only agrees to it because Greasy's never managed to snag ass before, so what makes him think now he'll be successful?? But then one day his manipulative pervert comes home covered in someone else's stink and a smug look on his face, and- YES!! suddenly Psycho is a l l over Grease. Rubbing himself on him to get his sent back on him.

Ahhh! Contrary-wise, I actually like the idea of them still fighting a lot!! But like- it's not out of hatred anymore. Just annoyance and differing opinion. The only way you know they're more then coworkers is the very careful way they watch eachother in a dangerous situation and the way they protect eachother ^^ (IMAGINE PSYCHO GETTING TERRITORIAL OVER GREASY. Like, someone's threatening to hurt Greasy and Psycho suddenly comes out like a rabid animal. Greasy knows Psycho will always come to protect him like a guard dog now, too, so he's even less concerned these days about insulting people bigger then him 😅😅😅) (Also, IMAGINE GREASY TALKING PSYCHO OUT OF SCRAPES. Like, if Psycho chewed up the neighbours rose garden and the neighbour was p i s s e d, Greasy would be there to smooth things over. 'Sí, Sí, no it will never happen again. Never. We promise you. Right Psycho?? That growling means sí. Bye bye now!~ *as soon as they're out of earshot* and good riddance 🙄, that rose garden was heinous.')

OH THEY'D BE SUCH A DANGEROUS DUO. At least that's one thing Smartass is happy about XD Wheezy, too, now he doesn't have to mediate 😅 they'd also be a pretty... scary duo, too though. They have very similar levels of empathy... which is not a lot. They'll get the info, and still kill the guy. No one will ever find the body and the only reason Smartass, Wheezy and Stupid even know what happened is because of a very suspicious grin the two shared at breakfast.

when I started shipping it if I did: So really funny story, they were actually not going to end up together in Baby Steps. I literally threw them together because I thought it would be Neat TM but they were originally going to end up with different insignificant OCs when they reached adulthood. But then Katie said she shipped them and a switch got flipped in my brain and now I literally cannot stop thinking about them 24/7. It's a problem lmao (but I love it).

my thoughts: With how little we know about Becky, she's one of those blank slate characters that you can project literally anything on to and I have done so to my heart's content. And I love Darryl in the show, I think he has some of the funniest lines and I like Aziz's VA work. They have so much potential from a story POV and it's been SO fun to play around with them. It's also one of those ships that I've gotten to build from the ground up and, in case you didn't figure this out about me already, I LOVE doing that. Developing relationships are my bread and butter, they're so fun to write and it's one of my favorite things.

What makes me happy about them: Honestly? Getting to explore their different backgrounds. Darryl is Indian (I think??) and Aziz is a non practicing Muslim (I think???), so I took that for him and ran with it. As for Becky, making her someone who grew up Catholic but doesn't necessarily believe in their teachings anymore (I write about Catholicism a lot for someone who grew up fundamentalist Baptist lmao) has been interesting to me. || Soooo this is something I've mentioned to some of you (mostly Mira I think) and I am FINALLY getting around to making an official post about it...but my Childe is different after the Wanderer quest. We haven't seen Childe after the adjustments were made, so this might change if I think it's necessary, but here's how I will go about things. If you interact with Childe or WANT to interact with Childe, please read this post. If you haven't done Wanderer's quest yet and don't want to be MAJORLY spoiled, don't read below the cut~

So when Scara erased himself from the world, there are holes that need to be filled. His absence doesn't change anything major, since it just means that the way things worked are a little different. The Fatui is no exception. Scaramouche's main job in the Fatui was going into the Abyss, and since he isn't here anymore, Childe (who has already been to the Abyss and thus has built up some immunity) is sent in his stead.

Mira (ever-winter) writes my main Harbingers, and her Pierro, Collumbina, and Il Dottore do remember Scaramouche (Mira wrote a post explaining why this is, but idk where it is so just look at her blog ig XDD). So maybe Il Dottore, being the asshole he is, sent Childe to the Abyss knowing that used to be Scaramouche's job and is, in a way, screwing with him even still.

Anyway, yes, Childe has more resistance to the Abyss because he's already been down there. But that's only resistance. He is in no way immune, and with all the missions he is given, it has effected him. His personality has been altered slightly. He's a bit more serious, a bit more dangerous, and just gives the impression of being a bit more tired. His tolerance for things is very low and he's much faster to snap about things. Additionally, his eyes are darker than before, his skin is a bit more pale, and the strand of light orange in his hair is now definitely white and bigger. He is for the most part the same, but he's just a bit...darker, I guess.

So what does that mean for interactions going forward? All on-going threads with Childe right now (unless stated otherwise) will take place before Wanderer's quest. While his personality shift isn't drastic, it is a notable change and I can't just change it mid-thread. However, from now on (UNLESS PLOTTED OTHERWISE) all new threads with Childe will take place AFTER the Wanderer quest, which means he will act differently.

Indeed it is! I made a post talking about his backstory but I can't access my archive atm so I'll do a quick recap-

I don't actually know anything about madness combat. Some friends of mine were really into it and made a bunch of OCs and I wanted to be cool like them 🥺 so I made my own madness OCs based on what little knowledge I had.

His name is Casey. And he lived out in the middle of nowhere Nevada with two of his best friends in this giant armored truck that they built.

At some point they were caught in a burning building disaster, some bandits stole the truck and Casey's friends died in the fire. He wandered the wasteland alone for a few years.. before eventually stumbling upon the bandits camp.

He stormed into the camp and killed everyone, unfortunately his truck was nowhere to be found. He did however find this little girl that had been captured and tied to a tree.

Him and "Stefany" then traveled together for a few years before meeting a scientist named Eric. He had gotten separated from his group and was stranded. I had this idea that the people from the wasteland hate scientists. But Eric begged for help. They made a deal that if they brought this guy back to his lab, that he would give them this valuable thing from the lab. He agreed.

Eric didn't intend to keep his side of the deal. But after a few weeks of traveling together and bonding.. when they got to the lab he stole the thing and gave it to Casey. Getting himself booted off the lab team in the process.

So now the three of them travel together. Eventually Casey gets hurt really bad and the group has to camp out for a bit. While Stef was out looking for food, she saw Casey's truck in the distance. She went and hijacked it, kicking out the two bandits that were in it.

She drove it back to the camp but the bandits followed. There was a stand off between the bandits and Casey. When suddenly..

"..Casey? Is that you?"

The two bandits were Casey's friends he thought he'd lost. There's this tearful reunion, a lot of story telling and explanations.. and now they travel together as a family :)

Oh yeah and at some point Stef gets a (probably) rabid raccoon named kitty, even though there aren't animals in madness combat..? Apparently?? Idk I had barely any world knowledge when I made these characters <XDD

But now that I'm thinking about them.. I should draw them again some time.. 🤔 anyways, thank you for the interest and for the ask! It means a lot to me :}}

🍙 - Goro Takemura

Okay, so, Takemura and Vince don't have the best start :D Few incarnations of V have, probably xD

Vince is certain that Takemura only helped him to save his own skin, and he did pity him a little bit for being betrayed by Arasaka regardless of how much effort he put into tracking him down. Effort doesn't matter when you're doomed from the start. He is distrustful of Takemura and his motivations, vowing to only touch things that have "Arasaka" written all over them with a 10-foot-pole but... Takemura is a handsome man. And Vince is very weak when it comes to handsome men.

Also, Takemura needs his help, he's in a situation very similar to the one Vince found himself in half a year ago, so he can defintiely relate to his desparation. I think initially, the same way Takemura sees Vince as a means to an end to regain his status and get his revenge, Vince sees Takemura as a means to get Johnny out of his head. He doesn't really have that many leads to begin with, and it is logical to assume that the people who made the chip might have the solution to disable it. I think their first few interactions and conversations, when Vince provocatively starts calling him "Goro" instead of Takemura, well aware that in Japan you don't really call people by their first name unless you're very close, are all about Vince testing the waters and trying to figure out what kind of person this Takemura is. Where are his weaknesses and soft spots, how can he potentially make him stop caring as much about Arasaka and pull him to his side as an ally instead? There's a lot of mutual manipulation (or attempts of it at least) going on xD

By the time the infiltration of the industrial park comes around, Vince has grown to respect Takemura for his resilience and determination. He's also gotten to know his more human side, which makes him respect him even more - and he definitely still has a big crush on him xD From Vince's perspective they leave the industrial park not just as mere allies anymore but as friends, opening up about their pasts, their struggles, and everything else. Goro's message regarding the bakeneko V 100% interprets as a warning of Johnny, and not being at best terms with Johnny at that point it's something he really takes to heart (watch me write an entire essay about how, from a storyteller's perspective, Takemura and Johnny are two sides of the same coin and at the core serve the same purpose in the story just on opposite ends of the spectrum).

Vince does try his luck eventually with asking Takemura out (the one and only time in his life he's not being horny on main, because Takemura is classy and deserves a nice dinner first), but Takemura ends up leaving him on read XD So his crush dies down a bit after all, but they remain friends to the very end (and I refuse to accept what might happen to Takemura in anything but the Devil ending, watch me headcanon my way around it and have him come around in the end to open up a cat café!! I will make it work!! I have a fic planned and everything!! xDD)

Ah, yes, Vince's other unrequited mancrush... *year long sigh*

Vince has just been ghosted by Takemura, then he meets this tall hunk with dreamy eyes and a biceps bigger than his thigh... oh yeh, right, the mayor, his death, the investigation!

All jokes aside though, I think River becomes one of Vince's closest allies over the course of the game and remains a dear friend beyond that. Both Judy and Panam leave and don't have that much understanding for Vince wanting to stay in NC, or the life he sees working out for himself, but River does get it.

Vince is also intrigued by River's line of work, notices it's something he could have seen himself doing in a different life. He doesn't like confrontation and brute force, but investigating, combining, following leads, working in the shadows a bit and talking his way into and out of situations - that's really down his alley. He wouldn't even mind the paperwork that much, he didn't mind it at Arasaka either.

Also, he admires River for the lengths he goes to when it comes to finding Randy, sometimes worrying that all will be in vain, that they'll be too late if they find him at all, and what it could do to River, who appears quite obsessed about the whole thing - but the workaholic tendencies is also something Vince can relate to. He is not too keen on River seeking revenge and discourages him at every opportunity, but can also understand where the feeling is coming from. But in Vince's eyes, revenge doesn't solve anything, it can't bring people back and it isn't healing, quite the opposite.

Vince is hesitant to get too involved with River's family initially, Vince coming from a pretty dysfunctional family himself, and being together with them brings up some bad memories at first. As he gets to know them better though they also grow quite dear to him.

I will say! I do not care for the whole Splinter and scumbug thing, like least the series committed to that so I didnt have to suffer for nothing in the movie buuuut im uh yeah just not having that be a thing XDD

ANYWAY

As in the movie showed the mutants with Superfly had move in with the turtles and splinter/ joined them to become like an extended family. After it seems most of them have moved on to their own home or doing their own thing. Though their clearly still some mutant that each member seems at least close to like Raph with Beepbop and rocksteady, Donnie with Wingnut. Mikey with mondo, and well I don’t feel Leo really has one since he bonded with April the most XD anyway Splinter I wouldn’t say dislikes any of them he offered his home after all. But he clearly isn’t all to close with them. Enough to sort of take over being in charge of them from Superfly though. Splinter is very clearly the head of the family after all. I’d say the only mutant he likely friend with is scumbug since he was best friends with a cockroach before and is one of the only mutant who can speak with each other.

That would leave the rest? For sure much more like extended family and Splinters more like thier uncle?? Grandpa maybe even XD So its more like a generation sort of split between him and the others. He still sees them as family and welcomes them to thier place if their own home isn’t suited to the weather like a rain storm after all. Splinters pretty good abut feeling kinship with others seeing how he went from feeling no one wanted him around not even his own kind? Makes sense why he’s so happy to have such a big family. Why he was so protective of his sons when it was just the five of them as well. I feel part of him has felt some relief knowing his sons wont be alone if anything ever happens to him now and why he tends to push for his sons to be good role models despite many of them being older than his sons. He’s pretty big on sticking together and solving conflicts and such truly take on the role of head of a family with that in mind after all.

Obviously Splinter is very much a dad, he loves his four turtle sons more than anything in the world. Because the universal law has stated no matter what splinter will find the turtles and adopt them as his sons ;3;. Splinter a character I truly love a lot i mean clearly since I write him lol. I can be back and forth when it comes to 12 Splinter feeling he wasn't always the best dad but clearly loves his sons anyway. 03 splinter is like my biased favorite he just such a dad and teacher.

I feel MM Splinter falls more into the Dad role/ head of family over teacher. Just on what his main drive seems to be. He seems to have the usual dynamics with his sons.

Leo is the eldest and the one Splinter tends to place most responsibility on too, because he is the oldest. Splinter clearly sees Leo as the leader of his brothers. And tends to trust a lot of family issues to him like not even speak up when Leo tries to help with Raph raging out during the storm. Or tasking Leo jobs that deal with handling family issues.

Raph of course still struggles with his anger issues but Splinter seems very hands on in trying to help Raph deal with it. Raph seems more willing to try Splinters ideas out as well. Even having his own meditation pillow he pulls out when told. He doesn't seem to like it but he listens and tries which is a pretty big step up from past iterations imo.

Donnie still seems to be the son Splinter doesn't full always understand due to his interest and smarts. Personlly I feel he still tries he would be the parent that calls pokemon pokeyman XD he knows Donnie watches 'them animes' he dosen't get them but I feel like it can easily be blamed that Splinter found an old anime movie maybe a ghibli one? and likely what stated Donnie on this dark path XD it's kind of funny cause he also is clearly the parent that thinks his son can fix all tech issues. if he used a computer you know Donnie would be standing behind him the whole time explaining opening a window isn't a real window XD It's funny that he will both scold Donnie about driving but also see him as being dramtic about things. You can see he really tries but hes not above some snide hits even on the weeb son

Mikey ofc his youngest as of now i cant say they have done anything for Mikey having raw talent least being stated by Splinter atm. In truth Splinter seems to feel Mikeys the best about keeping the peace between his brothers and extend family even and seems to be the one picked as errand boy most on top of it. But I say its cause Mikey just good with people.

April is the firsty good human on Splinter list since she tried to help save his sons he seems pretty close to her later in the series as well. He treats her pretty much on par with his own sons even. Not above acting the dad way he does to his boys. But also seems to take what she has to say seriously and not brushing it off. He can even have serious talks he never dose with his own sons.

Yvoone after everything with Donnie and his bullies, yes im calling them that uwu, Splinter just so excited that this girl seems to really actually like donnie and isn't using him. She even was fine following along his conditions for Splinter allowing Donnie having an extended stay at her place. He always goes all out for her visit to the lair as well pulls out all the chris' uwu. Splinter can't help but go a bit extra there because he is just so grateful to Von. Splinter wasn't all to happy when he heard about the kids taking advantage of one of his sons. Didn't really help Splinter's stance when it comes to his mistrust of humans still. So in truth it was partly so he could see if Von was good like April. And he was happy to see she was. As mean as it may sound he hoped Donnie would make more friends as well, not for any bad reason he just feels Donnie is the one who can benefit most from connecting with others. He sees the friendship Donnie has with wingnut. Even if he don't understand what they are saying XD and he just wants Donnie to have more of that so he isn't so alone in what he likes.

Casey of course has been in a up hill battle when it comes to being on Splinters good side but well to be fair all splinter knew of the guy from first mention was the fact he beat up his son Raph. So that protective side came out full swing he just didn't understand how Raph could like someone who hurt him like that? Then again when he had a chance to really reflect on the fact. HE could see how someone Raph could fight with and not be like someone that is a threat or even one of his brothers is in fact someone Raph could befriend and get close too. First time he saw Casey though Splinter was pretty sure they were in a gang or something though XD He over heard Raph mention the purle dragons and some guy nambed Hun even so for like a month Splinter thought Casey was this Hun and in the purple dragons and would get Raph to join his gang! Seeing that Casey fainted when they first met? He felt confident he could handle them XD Splinter dose start to change how he feel and thinks about casey later on. When Raph had to explain once why he was home late was to be there for Casey hearing they had lost thier Dad. Splinter isn't sure what would happen to his own Sons if they lost him at such a young age so his heart felt for the poor kid. So when he found Casey looking through his vinyl collection. Splinter decided to use it as a chance to really speak to this kid he judge to harshly, in truth being no different from humans towards mutants. He starting to see what Casey really is. A lost kid and well how can Splinter turn away from a lost child?

And I may or may not have created a whole oc for the DC universe (that may or may not be connected to the batfam in my heart, but has a story that has nothing to do with any existing IPs so they could also be a standalone). The smoke makes its way past their lips and gently floats away, the breeze capable of dispersing the black puff but not the million thoughts that are racing through their head.

Nyx is perched on a windowsill, upper half of their body leaning out of the room they’re currently in. Burned traces fall down onto the ashtray next to them after they give their cigarette a shake or two, just so that they can bring it up to their lips once more.

This idle motion is interrupted, however, by the sound of the door creaking open. If they had the energy, maybe they would’ve chastised themself for not paying attention to their environment; You’re a failure, their father would have said. Keep vigilant, don’t let this happen again, they would have told Katie.

As it is, though, their head is unable to form a single thought, a fog too thick to be able to look through inside it. Instead, then, they glance towards the entrance, where a man who has a good eight inches on them stands eerily still, as if he’s processing what he’s witnessing. My brother, Nyx recognises immediately.

He comes in without asking, closing the door behind him with a slight frown on his face. He’s concerned, they note, absently. When is he not?

“That does nothing for you,” he points out, stepping towards his sibling.

Nyx remains quiet, much too tired from everything to spit the sarcastic Really? I hadn’t noticed, out. In its place, they turn their head towards the outside of the room, taking another slow drag. They exhale it even slower, as if wanting to cling onto it like a child would their mother while walking busy streets.

“What’s going on?” he asks, now, and he takes a seat right next to them.

There’s no answer. Again. Nyx doesn’t even bother looking at him, now. They don’t want to talk about it. They don’t want to think about it. The only thing they feel like doing, as they take another drag, is sleeping. Sleep is safe, after all. Once they’re out, that girl won’t be haunting them.

Silence falls over the siblings, and as their cigarette burns out, Nyx can’t help but feel warm. It’s a bit better with Isaiah there. Comforting. A sharp contrast to their father but, then again, that’s how it’s always been.

The man stays quiet, giving them time, as he always does. If they say they don’t want to talk about it, he won’t press anymore. In the end, that’s what always makes them break.

“I was too late.” Nyx puts out their cigarette, then turns back to their brother.

Immediately, Isaiah knows what they’re talking about. He’s not surprised, either, since that’s what he thought was eating them up. It’s not a very hard guess; they always get like this when they’re not able to save someone. Actually, sometimes it’s worse, since at least they’re completely immune to drugs.

“She was so little, too,” they keep going, but their gaze is absent. “Must’ve been ‘round Katherine’s age, back when she joined us.”

This is information Isaiah didn’t know, and it surprises him that his sibling is only smoking over it. At least for now. Katherine, as much as Nyx would deny it,—for good reason, it’s unsafe to get attached in their line of work—is like their daughter. They raised her, after all, and taught her everything she knows.

“She was gone by the time I made it to her,” they continue, throat tightening. “I couldn’t even give her a painless death.”

Nyx isn’t surprised to find that their eyes are completely dry; as much as they want to cry, that habit was beaten out of them years ago. It’s for the better, anyway, since trying to wipe tears away from an empty socket might end in an infection.

“You did all you could,” Isaiah tries to comfort.

My best wasn’t good enough, they bitterly think, it never has been. They don’t say this out loud, though, because they don’t want to burden him any further. Instead, they pull their legs up to where they are sitting down and hug them. Nyx wonders, absently, if they would have been able to keep their stuffed toys in another universe.

It has nothing to do with the whole situation, but then again, maybe it does. Their plushies—ones they had when they were young enough to, when their mother was still with them, before their father threw them away claiming they were too old for toys—had always been a comfort for them. Maybe they would’ve helped them cope better. It doesn’t matter now, though, does it?

“Yeah,” they finally say, noncommittally.

Isaiah has never been good with comforting people, his emotional intelligence was thrown out as his own way of surviving. So, instead of trying to say anything else, he keeps quiet. Nyx will continue to talk if they want and if they don’t, he knows they appreciate the silent company. They told him so, back when the two first had a heart to heart and he had to apologize for not knowing what to do.

It’s fine, they had smiled at him, a small, sad thing, I just wanna stay in your room, if that’s alright? Your company is enough.

The pair of siblings remain where they are for the rest of the night, Isaiah working from a laptop he had to quickly go get and Nyx staring at the night sky blankly. Neither utter another word but, at the end of the night, Nyx hasn’t smoked another cigarette.
