Metroplex x Reader

• Rasping softly, brows creasing in frustration that he can’t speak. Still. Keeps his head turned toward where you’re sitting on a table with Ratchet’s tools as the medic works to repair the drone’s damaged systems. To give him a voice again. Something pulls, hurts and there’s a burst of staticky noise. “Little one,” he says, not his voice, but his words. And you stand, little fingers fisted in the blanket Ratchet has given you. “I think everything should be back online now, but take it easy. This drone’s been inactive for centuries,” Ratchet says. But he’s not listening, focused on you as he mass shifts the drone to your size, the energy strain slamming through him in drowning pain. Crippling him and severing the connection to the drone. Hearing Ratchet’s frustrated, “What did I just say?”

• Visor dimming, the drone sags. “Metroplex?” Looking from him to Ratchet when the medic vents tiredly. “Is he gone again?” Nodding, the medic slams down a tool a bit rougher than necessary. “Can I sit with him until he comes back? Please,” you add as he frowns at you.

• “Probably not a good idea. Any involuntary movement could hurt you even at that size,” he mutters so you content yourself with sitting on the edge of the table, legs dangling. “We should at least get some answers,” he grumbles. “No matter how much damage we repair, he’s rerouting energy somewhere and staying critically low.” Hesitating as he begins cleaning his tools, he looks at you, expression critical. “Hound told me you’d said the Titan was speaking to you.”

• Face heating at the memory that speaking isn’t all you’d done, you shrug weakly. “He was lonely. I started talking to him first.” Because you’d been lonely, too. Overlooked a lot of the time by the Autobots just because you’re so small, an after thought most of the time. Easily forgotten. But Metroplex had heard you, seen you. Reached out in return. Echoing your loneliness and halving it.

• Again. Frustrated as he retreats deeper into himself, knows he needs to build energy again. Be patient. But the drone is there with you. It’s mass displaced. These are steps forward, not stumbles. He just has to remain on course. You’re waiting for him. You’ll be right there. He needs to believe it, desperate to hold you in his arms even if they’re borrowed. To recharge with your heartbeat against him, to hear your soft voice and to be able to answer. Wants to hear about your day, your dreams, everything. And he’s getting closer to that goal. Closer to you.

Your travel destinations, where should you travel to?

This topic was suggested by someone, I think it's really an interesting idea but hard to do a reading on. This will be a reading about what kind of places you should go for each purpose (to relax, to connect, to find inspiration, to find opportunity)

This is a general reading meant for multiple people. Take only what resonates and leave out the rest.

URANUS

The energy is quite active or, in some cases, defensive. Wherever you go, there's an element of protection, you have to protect something of yours, your stance, your opinions, your achievements, your possessions, you might need to be cautious when travelling.

To relax: somewhere remote and private, where you don't have to meet many people and worry about prying eyes. Could be some lesser known beaches or resorts. You should feel familiar with these places, they shouldn't be somewhere new, maybe these place were where you went when you were a kid and had a lot of fond memories about them. Even if they have been renovated, they still contain some nostalgic elements. I see fields, twilight time, birds, lots of water, maybe some place where it rains a lot.

To connect: lively places with lots of banters. This kind place should be suitable for talking openly so it won't be those dimly lit restaurants where soothing music is playing and everyone talks in low voice. This place is kind of rowdy, an element of competition, there is little space between people, strangers can easily talk to each other without much awkwardness. I see a pub where people are watching some show and talking about it, a debate club, a workshop, a sports centre, an arcade, contests.

To find inspiration: contrary to the places for connection, the places where you can find inspiration will be quiet, professional, everyone is keeping to themselves. If there's talk at all, it will be an introduction, a lecture, one person is talking while the others listen. A class, a museum, an exhibition, a presentation. If it's somewhere in nature then it will be a high place, mountains, hills, where you can see the scenery below and where you can see the stars clearly.

To find opportunities: lots of people around, older people, teachers, foreigners. Somewhere you have an emotional connection with or somewhere with lots of acquaintances. The setting is comfy, warm but formal. Could be school, overseas business trips, a forum. There are lots of talking, exchange ideas, commercial places, a bakery, a bookshop. Somewhere sunny and dry, should be near where you are living, not too far, like the kind that is continents away. This might be where you can settle down and stay long-term.

MERCURY

All the places you go to will have a great impact on your life, it doesn't matter if they are small or grand, secluded or public. They all have a certain foreign element to them.

To relax: this place has to look nice and beautiful to you. You can't relax in shabby, aesthetically ugly places. I see lots of sleeping, this is where you go to get some shut eyes. Maybe somewhere you go to periodically, somewhere familiar with lots of memories. This place will have lots of natural lights, you can catch the sunlight and the moonlight easily. Sleeping under the moonlight to recharge (but be mindful of moonburn though, it's real, if you have sensitive skin, the moon is strong in your chart or you were born on new moon, moonlight can mildly burn your skin if exposed for too long)

To connect: you won't be able to expect these kinds of places. Maybe you have some negative impressions about them or they seem out of your comfort zone. This will likely be when you are taken by somebody else to this place, not on your own. It can be an emergency or maybe something happens at the current place so you have to move to another. You will be reluctant to go there. If not, then you will only go to this kind of place on a whim, something has changed drastically for you, or you consciously want to be more daring and brave. In short, any places that you immediately feel the urge to resist going there, but, also have a certain fascination with them, will be the places where you can connect with people the most.

To find inspiration: somewhere you have to travel by air to get there. Likely foreign countries. You will hear lots of talks about these places, they could be some famous destinations or have a certain charm to a specific group of people. The sky is clear and bright, lots of vehicles, lush scenery, different from your own culture.

To find opportunities: this will be a busy place, people running around, a lot of things can be accomplished there. You will have to be fast and direct there, a very dynamic environment, likely your workplace or a job fair. This place seems serious, not much fun is allowed there.

PLUTO

This group might actually just fit for only a few people.

To relax: This is probably a bit unconventional, but the place where you can find relaxation is actually your workplace, or somewhere you can carry out your duty, do your job. The reputation of the tasks, the busy atmosphere, the sense of responsibility and helpfulness, and knowing that you're contributing to something might ground your mind. Another place is somewhere lively with lots of people, this kind of place can make you feel more alive, especially if you're someone who usually feels lonely or feels some voids inside when you're alone. The physical energy of people around you, the concentration you put into your work might be your anchor.

To connect: somewhere that lets you immerse in all the five senses, nature scenery, during the period of autumn, when fruits are ripe, the scents of everything grow stronger. This will be the place where you've been to in the past but now it has changed, it's about the things or the people you know are changing, maybe a wedding, the change of marital status. There's a feeling of spirituality and religion, could be temples, churches, places to retreat, the wood. Another one is the bank or somewhere you can exchange money.

To find inspiration: there are two types of places. One is a show, a concert, an exhibition of some artists, there will be performances. The other one is more like a situation, where you have to be at some places for some duties but you will have a chance to sneak out, to go anywhere spontaneously, probably with another person, this will feel like an adventure for you. This kind of situation will give you a sense of being free, being spontaneous.

To find opportunities: the place where you can find lots of opportunities for growth will be the place for meeting friend groups. You will meet lots of friends there. I see schools, the plaza, city squares, the internet, groups of shared interests. Streams, where water flows, places where you can hear birds singing clearly, water park, cinemas. This might be just for a few, but the cemetery or somewhere related to the departed, ghosts, hospital, somewhere you can connect with the ancestors.

MARS

This is not about the places but about the time, summer might not be auspicious for travelling, but the rest of the seasons, spring, autumn, winter will be. You might also take note of the moon phase, when the moon is half full, when the moon appears reddish, avoid going out, home will be the best place for you to be.

To relax: you might want to go to these places after you've done some major works and achieved something significant. It doesn't mean that you can't go before that, but going after the work is done will bring peace to your mind and rejuvenate your body. These places have good foods and animals, fruit trees, the energy feels old and bountiful. Could be camping, going to nice local restaurants, hot springs, farms, sheeps and horses come to mind. And good ol' home will also an excellent choice.

To connect: the places where you go to relax might actually be the places for you to meet and connect with more people. Some acquaintances will introduce you to someone, or you will meet them by chance, completely unexpected. Other places will be the bank, large stores, well established buildings, jewellery shops, somewhere with rich history. I also hear driveway at night, you might travel to those places at night, at the start of winter. I got a pretty weird feeling, a little scared, new connections might form when you're in some kinds of troubles, they might be the one helping you.

To find inspiration: you might want to go to see some contests, matches, especially sporty kinds, races, where people can compete, fast actions, and exciting energy. You might be in a long period of boredom or tense situations, so you will want to get out and get some fresh air, to shake your spirit up a little.

To find opportunities: you might go to someone else's homes to learn some skills or to show your expertise, or a place where you can practice those skills. There will be examinations, evaluations, discussions of the skills and the related products. I see wine and food, handmade crafts, things that take a long time to make.

Jetfire, Ratchet, Wheeljack and Perceptor are on an Optimus assigned mission so that's why/how they're working together !

Prowl and Brainstorm join them later ! Prowl broke Brainstorm out of prison as a really terrible backup plan after the Jetfire's team gets compromised (full context for the AU's locations can be read here) but in summary, Luna 2, where the team was originally working, was raided by Decepticons. This forced Jetfire's team to jump through the Spacebridge to an unknown location.

Brainstorm and Prowl with the help of others storm Luna 2 and hijacks the Spacebridge so Brainstorm and Prowl can get to Jetfire's team. They only buy enough time for a one way trip so now Brainstorm and Prowl are stuck with the Science Team.

As a pitbull owner, this made me chuckle, I imagine he kinda acts like one too. His whale eye of judgement and him having absolutely no sense of personal space and getting into everyone's business. Sometimes he can look incredibly sad and pathetic. Who want him?

Honestly, he's probably considered it and then went "no, no bad Skyfire ! that's an awful thought !"

HONESTLY REAL, Jetfire would be the designated chef, I imagine he cooks in big ass portions because he eats a lot. Ratchet is the second designated chef of the science team, Perceptor mixed up the salt and sugar and fucked up the soup. Prowl only cooked enough food for himself.

First Aid is like ratatouille while Red Alert would overcook all his food out of fear.

Wheeljack and Brainstorm cook the worst meal ever, forced to be removed from the kitchen. Brainstorm probably steals a bite from everyone's food though just because "it tastes better when it's from your plate"

Thank you ! Brainstorm's wings get in the way of Everyone and Everything and he's probably ruined countless of Percy's (and everyone else's) carefully put together experiments. I think he has similar energy to when someone with a long ponytail turns around and accidentally whacks you in the face but on a much more painful scale.

In no particular order and mostly with the Science Team;

Staying up the longest without recharge

One sided racing with Jetfire, whether it be to the other side of the room, lounging area, kitchen, outside, doesn't matter he just needs to get there first (Jetfire chooses not to acknowledge this)

Engex drinking (He's actually an incredibly lightweight drinker, and the quickest to knock out out of the scientists but that won't stop him from trying)

Getting his lab reports done fastest

He keeps trying to challenge Perceptor in a game of scrabble and keeps losing

anything, and I mean ANYTHING in regards to Brainstorm, he will try his hardest to one up that guy

Wheeljack does not fuck around during group game night

Secretly playing a game of "lets see how many times I can lap everyone around the Science Base"

Glaring contest with Ratchet, whoever looks away first loses (also one sided, Ratchet's lost in thought)

"Do you dare me to do this thing?" "no" "ok im doing it"

Ratchet likes to nap, he's a big fan of getting rest and he definitely needs it, he probably snores like crazy tho. Wheeljack likes to drive long distances, doesn't need a location or anything he just likes driving around. Jetfire likes to read and journal his thoughts, his only way to cope and vent around here </3. Perceptor likes word puzzles, crosswords, word search, etc, he would be a HUGE wordle fan.

They have game nights together, mostly board games.

Brainstorm has never heard of the term “relax” in his life but he does like to push other bot’s buttons for fun. He wants to know what makes them tick. Prowl has never heard of the term “fun” in his life but he does like to sit in solitude and darkness in the quiet away from everyone.

The adding height to his wings bit is really funny omg

But nah, Wheeljack’s not really self conscious about his height. He prefers it over being Jetfire’s height. At least Wheeljack can fit through most doorways.

BAHAHA, where there's Prowl there’s Brainstorm and vice versa. Honestly I’m not sure which guy the Science Team fears more.

I'm sure that when they see Prowl around, they just look around the room for Brainstorm like they've just lost sight of a spider they've been keeping an eye on.

how i maintained a 4.0 gpa. ᥫ᭡

a lot of students strive to be the “perfect” student, me included! i’ve been able to achieve academic success, and i’m here to share my knowledge on how to do so! these are some things that have personally helped me, and so hopefully they can help you too! maintaining a 4.0 isn’t an easy feat, and i know that from first-hand experience. i haven’t always maintained this gpa, especially when i entered college, but i started implementing new things into my routine and study sessions that have helped me immensely!

let’s begin …

୨ৎ — daily/weekly planning

this was a game changer for me! especially coming back into college after taking some time off from school, planning my day/week out helped me tremendously! it helps you set aside time for schoolwork/studying as well as things that are more personal (i.e. self care, running personal errands, appointments/events, hang outs with friends/loved one, etc.).

if you have a planner that includes an hourly schedule, use it! i recently got one that has one, and it’s helped me so much! getting an idea of a time frame for how long you work on school assignments or for studying can also help to alleviate any overwhelming feelings that a to-do list might give you (though, i am a huge fan of to-do lists personally!).

if you’re like me, and you enjoy lists, i highly recommend creating a to-do list! keep it simple if those kinds of lists tend to overwhelm you and create a more generalized to-do list.

generalized list example:

review course modules

complete 2 hours of work

rest for 30min - 1hr

journal before bed

the key with generalized to-do lists is to keep them very simple! maybe include the most important goals for your day/week, but avoid including every single thing you need to get done for the day!

୨ৎ — consistent routine

i’ve talked about routines a plethora of times, and you’ll hear so many others talk about it as well, but routines are so important when you’re on the road to academic success!

i’ve been able to feel more accomplished with a set routine during the week. waking up at the same time, ensuring i set aside time at night to myself, and time-blocking portions of my day to complete tasks! a good routine will help you stay on track.

even if you don’t have a set morning/night routine, still try to establish a good study/schoolwork routine! create a study ritual where you light your favorite candle, set the mood with ambient lighting (or whatever lighting you prefer), or maybe you have a designated study spot at a library or café!

if you do create a study routine, it would also be a good idea to freshen things up a bit here and there so that the tasks don’t start to seem mundane! maybe change up the location of where you study or maybe you might want to listen to a different playlist while you work or even starting with a different class instead of the usual first choice.

don’t be afraid to spice things up in your routine, even if it’s the smallest changes. doing so can also help prevent burn out!

୨ৎ — completing assignments ahead of time

working ahead (if possible) is always a great choice to make! or even simply just getting assignments done the day they were assigned is also a good idea! get your homework out of the way so that you can create more space for personal time to rest and recharge or, if you’re feeling energized and motivated, more time to focus on studying for upcoming exams!

also, making sure you get assignments done well before their due date also ensures that you work thoroughly and efficiently. it prevents rushed work and lessens the chances of any mistakes!

be diligent when it comes to your homework assignments! if you have the time now, get it done!

୨ৎ — attending all lectures

this is so important! catching up with missed assignments, notes, and lectures can be extremely overwhelming. it leads to that feeling of needing to rush your work and then creating that opportunity for mistakes. it’s also just, in general, difficult to keep up with your classes when you aren’t physically present in class. you lose the opportunity to ask questions in class, to take proper notes, to record lectures for later studying, and you miss out on key information/announcements from your teachers/professors.

of course, there will be days where you literally cannot make it to class, and that’s okay! don’t go beating yourself up for having to take a sick day, your health always comes first! be sure to communicate with your professors and to ask any and all necessary questions!

but i only bring this point up because it’s something that’s helped me succeed. plus, some of my grade depended on my attendance, which you’ll come to find while in college.

୨ৎ — creating connections

build relationships with your classmates and your professors! this is a really great way of ensuring you get good grades! how? well, as i mentioned in my post about how to study effectively, i brought up study groups. if you start building connections with your classmates, you’ll be able to create those study groups and work with others to continue to learn and study the material! it will help so much to have another friend who can help you out with a topic that you might be struggling with!

also, connecting with your professors is really great for 1. setting that good impression for yourself and 2. building that relationship with them allows for more comfort and ease of mind when you need to go to them for extra help and guidance! your professors are there to aid you in any way they can to help you achieve success in their class. i know it might be daunting to reach out to your professors, but i promise that they’re there to help you and that they are more than willing to guide you on the path to success!

୨ৎ — implementing study methods

i touched on various study methods in my post that i linked in the previous point! but study methods can give you a variety of new ways to learn the material! also, playing around with the material in different methods can spice up your study routine while also seeing what kind of methods get the topics to really stick.

i definitely recommend referring back to my “how to study effectively” post for a more detailed discussion on studying!

୨ৎ — romanticizing school

when i started treating myself as the main character, it gave me so much more motivation to get things done for myself. including my studies!

think of yourself as rory gilmore, blair waldorf, elle woods, hermione granger, or any of those iconic, studious characters!

how to romanticize your education:

set an aesthetic for yourself

light academia

dark academia

pink academia

coquette

there’s so many different aesthetics out there that you can play around with or follow to get inspiration! pinterest will be your best friend, and i recommend creating a school/study vision board with the aesthetic of your choice!

once you’ve settled on an aesthetic (or a few, whatever you’d like!) find school supplies that relate to what you chose! fancy notebooks, planners, cool pens/pencils/highlighters, and maybe be a new bag that fits into your style! having the supplies that bring you joy make your studying experience ten times better, trust me!

dress the part

again, take inspiration from your favorite educational icons! or simply, wear what you feel the most confident in! when you show up to class knowing you look good along with having those supplies that you know look aesthetically pleasing, you feel like you’re already a top student!

your study environment

this gets talked about a lot, but when i’m studying in my freshly cleaned room that’s been decorated to my liking and i have a nice candle going with my choice of lighting, i feel like my studying experience is a million times better! even when i go to a café to study or i’m in the library to get work done, i just feel like the main character in my own movie (which i am because, hey! it’s my life!)

let your workspace be your ideal space! when you work in an environment where you can get things done and you feel comfortable, you can accomplish so much.

those ambient vibes playlists on youtube with those really aesthetically pleasing backgrounds on them are my go-to whenever i’m getting work done. it helps set the vibe for my sessions and it puts me in a good headspace to get into the grind! so pick a playlist that motivates you to get tasks done!

Matter of fact, that paper alone would probably be enough to pass the whole course because it’ll be exquisite— mind-blowing even. The professors wouldn’t just give me an A*. They would invent a new grade entirely

The point is, Jayce’s affection is heavily presented in this show, and it’s clear that this man is dedicated to the people he cares about

We’ve all seen it most prominently with Viktor. I won’t go into too much detail (or we’ll be here all day), but Jayce’s loyalty and care for him are on full display

His physical presence is grounding to him, and he often uses touch to comfort or connect with the people he’s close to

With his romantic partner, I can definitely see him being naturally physically affectionate— holding hands whenever he can, resting his hands on your shoulder, or even lightly brushing your fingers. If he’s feeling anxious, he might just hold onto your fingertips, seeking reassurance from you

Whenever he feels overwhelmed by his responsibilities as a councillor, he wouldn’t hesitate to rest his head on your lap (sound familiar?) even wrap his arms around you to recharge

He doesn’t shy away from showing his emotions and vulnerable side, which creates a space of trust and intimacy between the two of you. If something was to bother him, he’d talk it out rather than bottling everything up and leaving you in the dark

As mentioned above, he’s unflinchingly faithful and loyal. We’ve seen the way he covers for Caitlyn, and I feel like he would extend that loyalty to his partner. Always ready to stand by your side and protect you, no matter what

Have you ever had a friend who yaps a lot? Not in an overbearing way that talks your ear off or doesn’t give you room to speak. But someone who’s just eager to share their thoughts and experiences with you. Probably oversharing occasionally

That’s what being friends with Jayce is like— especially if you were friends back in his Academy days. He was already a bright, intelligent student back then, driven by a passion of his studies and research, and always eager to learn more

When you’d study together, you’d hear him ramble about some experiment or project he’s working on. Even if half of it went over your head, you’d still listen because his excitement was contagious (blah blah blah proper name, place name, backstory stuff)

And you’d know that he would do the same for you. Whenever you spoke about something you were passionate about, Jayce would listen intently— always with solid eye contact and offering his thoughts and encouragement

If you need advice, Jayce would be there to talk things through with you. He’s rational, but also leads with his heart, so his advice would always come with empathy.

And let’s not forget his humour. Jayce might take his work seriously, but he knows how to lighten the mood when the moment calls for it. Remember the way he snuck up behind Caitlyn and tipped her hat? That same mischievous streak would show up in your friendship too

I don’t know what it is, and I can’t fully explain myself here, but I just can’t see Jayce being great with the cooking. And it’s not like the show gives us much to work with, maybe it was the sandwich he made for himself that appeared in the first episode— it didn’t scream “master chef”

I know that doesn’t really speak much. Though, that’s not to say he couldn’t handle himself if needed. He might manage some basic dishes (scrambled eggs or simple pasta), but that’s just me being generous here

Cleaning, on the other hand, would be Jayce’s strong suit in a domestic setting. He seems like the type who works best in an organised, less chaotic space, and that preference would carry over to his living space

I’m basing most of this on his lab that looked pretty tidy, while being spacious (it helps that Viktor was there to share the space). Plus, from the small glimpse of his bedroom, everything looked pretty neat and thoughtfully placed

Speaking of the bedroom, we do see him keep trinkets— like the photo of his father and himself as a boy and other nicknacks— and I think that speaks a lot about him. Those small items hold a sentimental value, and I feel like if the two of you were to live together, he’s carry that habit into your shared home

You’d find pictures of the two of you together (maybe even wedding photos, if it gets to that point), ornaments or objects that remind him of special memories or an event, and collections of meaningful things. He’s definitely not a hoarder, but he has a way of decorating that feels personal and homely without making the space look cluttered

I always disliked getting to this part of the headcanon alphabet because my heart can’t imagine breaking up with my favourite person. Breaking up is something Jayce would avoid as much as possible

He’s not the type to walk away lightly. If there was an issue, he would always try to fix things— sometime to the point where he might be blinded by his own feelings. In such a pivotal moment like this, he might fail to see the bigger picture, not realising that letting go could actually be the healthiest option for both of you

Jayce values commitment deeply, so it would take something monumental— likely a circumstance outside of his control— for him to really reach the point of ending a relationship

If he was the one to break things off, it would be rooted in his self doubts. We’ve seen blame himself heavily when things go wrong, like after his decision to arm the Enforcers with Hextech weapons led to disastrous fallout. If he started to believe that his actions were causing you pain or holding you back, those insecure thoughts could push him to make the heartbreaking choice to let you go.

Another major reason might be to protect you. As a public figure, tied to the Hextech legacy and Piltover’s council, there’s always a risk of danger surrounding him. The idea of his enemies harming you because of your connection with him would be unbearable. He’d rather live the ache of losing you than risk you getting hurt because of him

We’ve seen how much he struggled with his emotions— like when he broke down after seeing the destruction on the bridge blockade (and threw up over the bridge, yikes) or when Viktor revealed his illness. And don’t get me started on his face when he saw one of the smugglers helping with the Shimmer was a child.

Before actually saying the words, he’d spend sleepless nights agonising over the decision, rehearsing his explanation until his head starts pounding. When the moment comes, Jayce would be nothing but straightforward and compassionate though (even though he’s dying inside and would break into a sob if you keep looking at him like that)

I can see him blame himself more than necessary. His emotional driven nature means he could take on too much guilt. He would reassure you repeatedly that he still cares about you and you deserve better or that he didn’t want to hold you back. It’s not that he doesn’t love you— it’s that he loves you too much to put you in harms way or causing you unhappiness

If the breakup wasn’t his choice, it would devastate him. His idealism and compassion runs deep, and losing someone he loves deeply would make him feel like a failure.

While Jayce isn’t naive in the traditional sense, his trusting and tendency to act impulsive sometimes might make you feel like he’s putting others’ agendas above your own values or your relationship. If you feel like his choices are constantly being driven by outside influences, or his passion for progress leaves little room for the two of you, it could push you to make the decision to leave.

Other reasons could be an imbalance of ambition. You might reach to a point where you feel emotionally drained, unable to keep up with the pace or the expectations of someone so involved in shaping the future of Piltover— and staying longer could be daunting

Jayce would respect your decisions, even though it hollowed him out. This brings me back to the sadness in Jayce’s eyes when Viktor left him, ending his partnership with him.

He might try to make amends, but he wouldn’t force you to stay. You might catch a glimpse of his heartbreak the way he buries himself in work, pushing himself harder than ever to keep his mind occupied

Jayce is incredibly ambitious, and even before his rise to the Council, he was locked in with his studies at Piltover Academy. Marriage wouldn’t necessarily be at the forefront of his mind— at least, not until he feels like he’s reaching a point where it makes sense for him to settle down

That being said, Jayce is also emotional and very passionate. If you were in a committed relationship, he might consider the idea of marriage. Though he would make sure his other goals, like completing his work or studies, were handled first. It’s the practical and plausible choice in his eyes

When it comes to cultural norms in Piltover, particularly among the elite, there’s a focus on status, achievements, and societal contributions over personal milestones such as marriages. And if marriage was considered, it’s often seen as a catalyst for strengthening alliances or enhancing social standings

This might influence Jayce, especially after becoming a Council Member. While navigating the political implications of marriage, he refuses to prioritise it for political reasons. He wouldn’t let it dictate something as important as his love life. For Jayce, marriage would only be on the table if it was based on genuine love and commitment— not ulterior motives

In the end, it might just work in his favour. A marriage built on love could serve as a stabilising force for him, painting him as a family man who values commitment and balance— a sentiment that even the Piltover’s elites would admire and trust

📄 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞.𝐝𝐨𝐜

Jayce has always shown his gentler side throughout the show, especially more so with his interactions with Viktor. One stand out moment is when Jayce gave up his seat during a council meeting so Viktor can sit comfortably— a simple gesture that speaks volume. It shows his attentiveness to the needs of those he cares about.

And when Viktor confides in him about his illness, Jayce doesn’t brush it aside. We see more of his reassurance in the last scene, telling Viktor that he was ‘never broken’. Anyways, I’m not just here to talk about him and Viktor.

Jayce approaches delicate situations with care, and as his romantic partner, you’d see that same emotional depth and consideration

His gentleness isn’t just emotional though, it’s physical too. His relationship with Mel is a perfect example. Even if their relationship had a political undertone, you can see Jayce being tender with her during their private moments, as if he’s always mindful of his touch and presence

As his partner, you would expect him to be just as tender with you. Whether it’s stroking your hand during a tough conversation or holding your chin while tilting your head up to look at him. Jayce doesn’t rush— he takes his time to show his care, both his actions and words

Part of this stems from his upbringing. His warm and respectful relationship with his mother is something he carries into how he treats others, and it’s evident that he values meaningful connections (his mother taught him well)

I cannot get over the scene where Jayce hugged Viktor before Viktor left him. You could see the yearning in his eyes when he pulled away

He’d definitely be the first to initiate a hug with his romantic partner. He’d take every opportunity to do so, especially if you’re in need of comfort or reassurance

Jayce’s hugs are unmatched. With his height and broad frame, you feel completely enveloped— like nothing in the world could hurt you. Bonus point for those biceps— when he wraps his arms around you, it’s a whole experience. It’ll leave you feeling protected, and completely loved

The first time Jayce confessed his love to you (and he definitely confessed first— have you seen the yearning in his eyes in the series?), he probably said something along the lines of ‘I’m in love with you.’ Words are powerful to him, and he needed to say something that truly expressed the depth of his feelings

A half-assed ‘I really like you’ wouldn’t have been enough for him— it wouldn’t even scratch the surface of what he felt. He wanted you to know, without any shadow of a doubt, how much you meant to him

And okay, technically, that might have not been a straight forward ‘I love you’ but it was the first time he used the word love. That counts for something, right?

It didn’t take him long to say those three words, though. I can picture it happening in one of his happiest moments with you— maybe after you surprised him with a gift, or did something meaningful that hit him right in the heart. Riding that high of happiness, he’d look at you with the biggest grin on his face and just let the words slip “I love you”

He’d probably laugh softly right after, a little sheepish but not at all regretful before sealing it with a kiss. A passionate, heartfelt one

Jayce is the type to say it more often in private, when it’s just the two of you. He doesn’t throw it around casually— every time he says it, you can tell he means it. The words don’t lose their weight, only growing stronger with every moment he spends with you

Awhh Jayce. Whenever it comes to your relationship and how he handles things, he runs on a lot of passionate emotions, which can be both a good and bad thing. He doesn’t get irrationally jealous and starts throwing hands, but he definitely has a sense of pride and protectiveness

That being said, Jayce’s jealousy doesn’t come from possessiveness but rather from a deep-rooted fear of inadequacy or not being good enough for you. It’s not about him doubting you— it’s about him doubting himself

When jealousy creeps in, he doesn’t lash out or make a scene. Instead you might notice subtle changes— he becomes quieter, more distracted and overall a little less cheerful. He struggles to hide how much it’s bothering him, but it’s obvious in the way his usual enthusiasm and affection falters

When it’s really eating at him, he might let out a passive-aggressive remark. Though he doesn’t mean to, and it usually comes out more awkwardly than anything. If you ask him directly what’s wrong, he’ll brush it off with a humour-laced excuse, cracking a joke to deflect the situation (which lands awkwardly) all while feeling uneasy inside

It’s not until the weight of his overthinking gets too much to bear that he finally gives in and tells you “I don’t know I just…do you think I’m good enough for you?” It’s not just the jealousy, but the fear behind that’s talking

He didn’t expect you to laugh softly— not at him, but at how adorable he looked, all flustered and overthinking everything. You cupped his face and reassured him that he has absolutely no reason to doubt himself or your love. You kissed him softly, reminding him that you chose him, and no one else.

Jayce melted under your reassurance, his shoulders finally relaxed. He chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck and muttered about how silly he’s being. You could tell from the way his hands lingered on yours that your words meant everything to him

This is always my favourite headcanon to write up. Smooches. I've definitely rewatch the scene of Jayce and Mel’s first kiss more times than I’d care to admit, just so I could see how Jayce kisses his partner

The first time he confessed his love to you, and you returned the feeling, he was ecstatic. But he also didn’t want to be too forward (even though he’d dreamed about kissing you so many times). Instead, he softly kissed your knuckles. It was such a sweet, chivalrous gesture, and quickly became one of his go-to ways of showing affection. He even lowers his head every time to meet your hand, like a knight bowing before their queen

Forehead kisses are also his signature, especially if you’re shorter than him. He find them warm and protective, a way of silently showing his presence

Now, kisses from you turn him into an absolute puddle. Surprise kisses are his ultimate weakness. The first time you caught him off guard, he just stood there, startled. Blinking like you’d short-circuited his brain. You pulled back with an innocent look, and he ended up rubbing the back of his neck, trying (and failing) to hide how flustered he was

There’s one moment where you hugged him from behind and kissed the back of his neck. He didn’t even know he was into neck kisses like that until you did it. He’s too shy to bring it up, but secretly hopes you’ll do it again (you absolutely should). Cheek kisses and forehead kisses from you are also high on the list, but the neck kiss is a core memory now

First time you shared a kiss, it felt like his whole world was muted. I can imagine him tilting your head up from your chin, and his eyes flicked between yours and your lips. while his heart is jackhammering inside his chest like crazy (how were you even more beautiful up close?). He almost hesitated, but when your eyes softened in anticipation, he leaned in.

The first kiss was gentle, almost weary, like he was testing the waters. But when you kissed him back, he couldn’t help but deepen it slightly, tilting his head to fit against you perfectly. That moment would be burned into his psych forever— how your soft lips felt against his, the way you made his chest tighten and stomach flutter.

We haven’t really seen many paternal characteristics from Jayce in the series, so it’s a bit hard to pinpoint exactly how he would be as a father

However, based on the traits that shows throughout the series— his care for others, and his passion— I feel confident that he would be a good father (I can definitely see him asking his child to hold a flashlight while he’s working on a project in the lab, giving them the “mini assistant” title)

That said, fatherhood might not come naturally to him right away. The idea of having his own children wouldn’t initially cross his mind, especially how busy he is in the lab, and his additional duties as a councillor

Even if you do introduce the idea of having children, he would feel a little skeptical. Losing his father at a young age would play a role in his doubts— he didn’t grow up with an official father figure and might question if he's equipped for that role himself.

It would take time and some extra convincing for him to warm up to having children. But the moment you conceive, or once you finalise the adoption, everything changes.

When your belly starts to show, he would be all over you and the baby. He’d drop to his knees just to feel the baby kicking, resting his palms gently on your bump while murmuring sweet words to you and the little one

Once the baby is born— or if you do end up adopting— a switch flips inside him. He takes doting on the child to a whole new level. Sometimes, it might come off as overbearing (like when he creates an ultra-organised schedule for feeding, nap times, changing the diaper, and even tummy time)

Of course, he’s a man of science, Jayce comes prepared. Expect him to research everything about childcare— I’m talking crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s. Even applying scientific precision to parenthood.

But he’s also adjusting to the new lifestyle as much as you, so there will definitely be hiccups. At first he’s a bit of a nervous wreck— fumbling through diaper changes and fretting over the baby crying. But over time, he grows into the role, becoming a loving father.

Naturally, Jayce would be an early riser— first as a dedicated student, then as a councillor with more duties. However, ever since you started living together, waking up to your warmth has made getting out of bed a lot harder

If he had the choice, he would sleep in just to stay wrapped up in you, basking in your presence. But the world doesn’t stop spinning, and the duties won’t take care of themselves

He showers first thing in the morning to wake himself up— probably preferring warm showers over cold ones. At this time, he prefers to be alone while freshening up, needing the quiet moment to fully wake up

On his mornings, he tends to rush through breakfast— even skip it entirely. But with you around, you always remind him to eat properly. While dressing, he multitasks, skimming through his reports with one hand while fastening his cuffs with the other

If he had to give a speech that day, you help him rehearse one last time in your room. He always steals a quick kiss on the cheek or on the lips before heading out. A quick thank you before the chaos of the day begins

On his days off however, he would definitely use the opportunity to stay in bed with you. Morning cuddles are non-negotiable. You’ll see a softer, almost puppy-like side of him— nuzzling into you, sneaking extra kisses, even draping himself over you just to keep you in bed longer

It’s no surprise that Jayce often comes home late, exhausted from council meetings and Hextech work. Some nights, he doesn’t make it home at all, caught up in duties or attending evening events

If he’s working late in the lab, he tends to lose track of time, completely immersed in his research. He’s a workaholic when it comes to science, and sometimes, it takes you reminding him to step away and actually come to bed

On particularly long days, he’s so drained that he flops onto the bed fully clothed and immediately falls asleep. It’s happened more times than once— until you stepped in and stopped him

You help him out of his jacket and boots, and in return, he presses a tired but grateful kiss against your lips or forehead. Even when he’s dead tired, he still checks in on you, asking about your day— though don’t be surprised if he drifts off mid-conversation, lulled by exhaustion

On rare nights when he comes home early, the atmosphere is more relaxed. He enjoys having tea with you, unwinding as you both share stories about your day.

In bed, he pulls you close, whether you’re talking or just enjoying the quiet together. Physical touch is comfort to him, and even in his sleep, his arms always finds its way around you

If he comes home to find you already sleeping, he slips into bed carefully, wraps an arms round you from behind, plants a kiss to your shoulder before drifting off to sleep

He definitely sleeps better with you besides him— it’s probably something scientific, oxytocin level or whatever— but he knows with you there, he’s at peace

Whenever I think of Jayce being open and vulnerable, I think of his relationship with Mel— especially more so when he rests his head on her lap. One of his lines that stood out to me was “nothing feels impossible when I’m with you”

So I think I can confidently say that with Jayce, it won’t take long for him to reveal things about himself, after he fully trusts you. He’s not the type of person that has a tough shell exterior (Thank God), even if front of the council, where we’ve seen how easily his emotions can show when he’s under pressure

Though he wouldn’t reveal everything at once, when you are alone together there might be some moments of silence and others where he opens up about his past: the House Talis, his family’s business, and how he was expected to join— but instead, he pursued his passion for science and became a scholar in the Academy

Sometimes it might take a little longer to talk about things he sees as personal failures or flaws, like the unintended consequences of his decisions or the guilt he carries for not always living up to his ideals. He might hesitate, afraid to burden you, but you always listen attentively and the way you reassure him makes it easier for him to talk

He would open up more with time, especially about his ambitions and fears. Most of these heartfelt, vulnerable conversations would happen when you’re alone in bed together, with the stillness of the night and the soft glow of your light where he feels safe

📄 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.𝐝𝐨𝐜

This is a bit of a two-sided coin. And let me explain why.

On one hand, we could see Jayce tirelessly working on Hextech during his early Academy days. Back when he didn’t have a lot on his plate and was just still a student— he always pushed forward with determination. His persistence show he doesn’t let setbacks anger him, even when the Council doubted his research

Based on this, I imagine Jayce as someone who would patiently listen attentively to his partner, hearing you out on your problems, trying to find a solution without immediately jumping into anger. If arguments do happen, he’d avoid raising his voice, though he’d still stand firm on his beliefs. I feel like he’d process his emotions first, calming down before returning to the conversation

However, after becoming a Councillor, we see his patience start to wear thinner under the weight of his new responsibilities. His duties have multiplied, and the stakes have gotten much higher. We see his argument with Viktor over the bridge blockade.

By this point, he’s juggling political pressure, the Hextech weaponisation, and his own guilt over the chaos unfolding in Piltover and the Undercity. His frustration boils over because he and Viktor are no longer fully aligned, and Viktor questions his decisions

This is a rare moment of Jayce misdirecting his anger— his frustration at the whole situation, but Viktor ends up on the receiving end because Jayce is overwhelmed (not that I’m saying this is excusable)

I’m not saying that Jayce would snap at his partner easily— he’s still incredibly caring— but under extreme stress, his patience might fray, especially if he feels unsupported in difficult situations. That said, Jayce would immediately regret it. He doesn’t like being at odds with the people he loves, and he works quickly to apologise and make things right

📄 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐞𝐬.𝐝𝐨𝐜

One of the first things that comes to mind from the series is how Jayce never forgets the people who’ve helped him. After returning from the Arcane, he made it his mission to fulfil his promise to Viktor. Also, even as a councillor, despite his growing responsibilities, he still tries to check in on him, showing how much he values those close to him

That being said, Jayce would absolutely make an effort to remember details about his partner— especially if it’s something important to you. If you casually mention wanting something but never getting around to buying it, don’t be surprised if he gifts it to you later, acting like it’s no big deal

Another thing that proves how sentimental Jayce can be is his relationship with his mother. He still carries the medallion she gave him, a reminder of where he came from and the people who support him

Speaking of sentimentality— one year, on his birthday, you’ve gifted him a custom brooch, something small yet meaningful. Ever since then, he wears it on his jacket during council meetings, a quiet reminder of you no matter where he goes (that’s canon now)

One of Jayce’s favourite memories in your relationship is the time you surprised him with a telescope for his lab. You’d remember him casually mentioning how he was interested in astronomy and how owning a telescope would be pretty amazing. He never expected you to actually act on that passing comment

The morning he walked into your lab and saw it there, he was completely floored. From that day on, it became a tradition to spend every other night together in his lab, stargazing through the telescope and poring over his astronomy books

Those nights under the stars, where you both connected over something so simple yet meaningful, became a core memory for him. It wasn’t just the telescope, but the thoughtfulness behind the gift and how it brought you closer

A lover boy like Jayce Talis is bound to have a protective streak to match. Argue with the wall. If he would sacrifice himself to save humanity, then what makes you think he wouldn’t move mountains for his partner?

One of the scenes that has highlighted this to me was when Jayce saw that the Hexcore had saved Viktor’s life. When Heimerdinger instructed for him to destroy it, Jayce gets defensive— for Viktor. (I don’t know, I just love seeing Jayce get mad when it comes to protecting his loved ones. What a man!)

With that scene, I can totally see Jayce standing up for you, even in your absence. The last thing we wants is hearing people talking bad about his beloved. He doesn’t get aggressive, but he would be firm and commanding when defending you— especially to anybody who dares to overstep

That being said, he absolutely values a partner who truly believes in his work and isn’t afraid to stand up by him when the rest of the world is against him. Even though he doesn’t necessarily need someone to fight his battles, knowing that you’ve got his back just as much as he has yours will always give him the confidence he needs

Additionally, this man is physically strong. We’ve seen his physique in the forge scene, as well as his ability to wield the Mercury Hammer. I can only imagine how heavy that is, and he handles it like it’s a toy. So, of course, he would use his strength to physically protect you from danger (even if he doesn’t know how to fight)

As protective as Jayce is of you, he craves to feel secure and supported by his partner. You being his steady source of encouragement and emotional protection means the world to him. He might not outright ask for it, but small gestures— like gently reminding him to take a break and drink water— would make him feel loved and safe. Security in a relationship goes both ways and nothing feels insurmountable with you

With everything that I’ve described about Jayce so far, it wouldn’t make sense to say he wouldn’t put effort into your relationship. He isn’t the one to half-heartedly approach anything

We see a snippet of this in the series, all the way back to Season 1. After Caitlyn is suspended from the Enforcers by her mother, Jayce visits her and offers her a position as his personal bodyguard. While she does ultimately declines, this highlights how he tries to support and protect the people he cares about, even when they’re at a low point

Now imagine the level of care and attention he’ll bring to his romantic partner. Jayce would be the type to take anniversaries and birthdays seriously, plan them well in advance. Whether it’s an extravagant dinners at one of Piltover finest restaurants or a quiet night home in front of the fire, he’d make sure every detail is thoughtful and personal to you

Speaking of personal, Jayce would definitely be the type to make handmade gifts in his forge. One year, he surprised you with a metal rose for your birthday, each petal crafted with care

And let’s not forget the big one— your engagement ring. I saw a headcanon that Jayce would craft the ring himself, and I’m fully on board with the idea. That’s my our man right there!

My brain was a little all over the place when I came this this letter, so let’s break it down

The white jacket with the gold accents on the maroon shoulder pads show that he’s polished and takes pride in his status. The Talis family crest on his outfit is a reminder that he hasn’t forgotten his roots (plus the hammer doubling as the letter T is a chef’s kiss design choice)

Later in Season 2, we see him clean up after being stuck in the chaos of the Arcane. He ditches his council robe for a sharp black dress shirt with a white jacket (though I prefer it without the jacket, and definitely not because we get a better view of his biceps)

Honestly, I’m still vexed that we only got to see him in that outfit for a few scenes. It was easily his coldest look, and I think dark colours suit him more— it might be the scruff and the longer hair that really ties it all together

Pile 2: Gluttony

This might be a sensitive topic for some and I completely understand that so feel free to pick another pile and take care <3 TW// weight mention, ED, body shaming, starving, anorexia

Pile 2 I'll start off with this, I'm so so sorry if you've been through instances in your life where people have been rather unkind to you regarding your weight and looks, but please know they're all wrong. You don't need to starve yourself; you're doing so well just as you are. Instagram diets and diet suppressants are not what you or your body needs. You need proper nutrition, and healthy meals give you just that. I'm not telling you to be over indulgent of course not but keeping yourself from nutrition is doing more harm than good. For some of you, you've had run-ins with eating disorders, do what's good for your body, mind and soul, delicious food from different cultures will bring a lot of flavour, expand your palette. (Also, for some of you, stop being such picky eaters! Try new things!)

Pile 3: Sloth

GET REST PLEASE (sorry for screaming). Constantly working and burning the midnight oil and sleep, rest, take a pause. Inactivity isn't always laziness or negative sometimes you need to give yourself space to breathe and sit with your thoughts and feelings.

You're human after all, you need rest and relaxation to recharge. Or maybe you're running from something and distracting yourself by constantly working. You don't need to always work to prove your worth. Don't overwork yourself.

Pile 4: Wrath

Anger can be therapeutic, feel it. Anger can help you set boundaries, and establish your self-worth. A lot of people have probably hurt you before and taken advantage of your kindness, or calm demeanour but don't let them do that. Fearing conflict will not resolve anything, getting angry isn't bad especially when you have been wronged several times by the same people. We've always seen anger be a force for change, so use it in a way where you can change things about your life that you don't like and don't approve of.

Don't let people walk all over you, don't take the route of toxic positivity, your negative feelings are there to help you grow and are just as important for your overall development.

Pile 5: Envy

Have you guys heard of benign envy? I have, an exhausting amount to be honest and what I've learnt is it genuinely helps push you forward in life. It can often be bitter but it can lead you to work harder or be more determined towards achieving your goals. It can positively influence our attitudes towards life and help bring in good changes to your routine that will help you grow. And although it's said envy is rooted in low self- esteem, all that's needed is an abundance mindset to make it work in your favour. If you feel that pang of envy now and then that's not bad, use it as a driving force for to grow more in your own individualistic way because you may have been afraid to in the past. If you envy someone's style (this is coming through strongly) or their way of life, try to manifest and work hard towards making that your reality rather than wallowing in envy and self-pity.

Pile 6: Lust

Here I feel that lust is being talked about in terms of the self, not solely in a sexual manner but also in terms of desire. Pile 6, you need to understand that you are desirable and hot and stunning. If you feel sexual fantasies there's nothing wrong with that, it is a part of your human experience embrace it. There's nothing wrong or dirty about it, it helps you explore yourself more imo. You are sexy don't overindulge and sexualise yourself for others, external validation will not bring you the satisfaction you want, it needs to come from within.

Pile 7: Pride

Guys, pile 7, my loves, pride is not bad. Especially when it comes to the work you do, I feel like this is my artistic pile. Authentic pride is important to the integrity of your work, getting happy, feeling proud, getting satisfaction from an art piece or a written piece after putting in hours, days, weeks of effort should not make you feel guilty. Don't let people tell you that your head is too big or anything like that, it's not. Your pride will help you maintain your standards in everyday life, don't lower your standards for anything or anyone, you're too good for that. I would go as far as to say pride is one of the most important feelings/emotions but be careful to not let it turn into an inflated ego.

Matter of fact, that paper alone would probably be enough to pass the whole course because it’ll be exquisite— mind-blowing even. The professors wouldn’t just give me an A. They would invent a new grade entirely

The point is, Jayce’s affection is heavily presented in this show, and it’s clear that this man is dedicated to the people he cares about

We’ve all seen it most prominently with Viktor. I won’t go into too much detail (or we’ll be here all day), but Jayce’s loyalty and care for him are on full display

His physical presence is grounding to him, and he often uses touch to comfort or connect with the people he’s close to

With his romantic partner, I can definitely see him being naturally physically affectionate— holding hands whenever he can, resting his hands on your shoulder, or even lightly brushing your fingers. If he’s feeling anxious, he might just hold onto your fingertips, seeking reassurance from you

Whenever he feels overwhelmed by his responsibilities as a councillor, he wouldn’t hesitate to rest his head on your lap (sound familiar?) even wrap his arms around you to recharge

He doesn’t shy away from showing his emotions and vulnerable side, which creates a space of trust and intimacy between the two of you. If something was to bother him, he’d talk it out rather than bottling everything up and leaving you in the dark

As mentioned above, he’s unflinchingly faithful and loyal. We’ve seen the way he covers for Caitlyn, and I feel like he would extend that loyalty to his partner. Always ready to stand by your side and protect you, no matter what

Have you ever had a friend who yaps a lot? Not in an overbearing way that talks your ear off or doesn’t give you room to speak. But someone who’s just eager to share their thoughts and experiences with you. Probably oversharing occasionally

That’s what being friends with Jayce is like— especially if you were friends back in his Academy days. He was already a bright, intelligent student back then, driven by a passion of his studies and research, and always eager to learn more

When you’d study together, you’d hear him ramble about some experiment or project he’s working on. Even if half of it went over your head, you’d still listen because his excitement was contagious (blah blah blah proper name, place name, backstory stuff)

And you’d know that he would do the same for you. Whenever you spoke about something you were passionate about, Jayce would listen intently— always with solid eye contact and offering his thoughts and encouragement

If you need advice, Jayce would be there to talk things through with you. He’s rational, but also leads with his heart, so his advice would always come with empathy.

And let’s not forget his humour. Jayce might take his work seriously, but he knows how to lighten the mood when the moment calls for it. Remember the way he snuck up behind Caitlyn and tipped her hat? That same mischievous streak would show up in your friendship too

Whether it’s pulling an all-nighter for a project or grabbing a coffee together, Jayce would make sure you feel valued and appreciated. His loyalty runs deep, and once you’ve earned his trust, you can count on him to be a lifelong friend

📄 𝐂𝐮𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬.𝐝𝐨𝐜

I’m not exaggerating when I say that physical touch is like fuel to Jayce— it gives him the extra drive, especially if it’s from you. And cuddles is no exception

When it’s the two of you in privacy, he closes the gap in bed immediately. His go-to is being the little spoon, though he wouldn’t mind switching things up and holding you from time to time as well

He loves lying on top of you, listening to your heartbeat and the soft rhythm of your breathing. It’s these little things— your natural scent, the way you chest rises and falls, or just the fact that you exists— fulfils him

God forbid if you were to shift in your sleep, unintentionally pulling yourself away from him. He wouldn’t be too dramatic about it but he will grumble softly from the lack of your touch and instinctively tighten his grip and pull you close (unless you really do want your space, of course)

Being in your arms feels like home, and he’ll savour every moment, preserving those quiet times together.

I don’t know what it is, and I can’t fully explain myself here, but I just can’t see Jayce being great with the cooking. And it’s not like the show gives us much to work with, maybe it was the sandwich he made for himself that appeared in the first episode— it didn’t scream “master chef”

I know that doesn’t really speak much. Though, that’s not to say he couldn’t handle himself if needed. He might manage some basic dishes (scrambled eggs or simple pasta), but that’s just me being generous here

Cleaning, on the other hand, would be Jayce’s strong suit in a domestic setting. He seems like the type who works best in an organised, less chaotic space, and that preference would carry over to his living space

I’m basing most of this on his lab that looked pretty tidy, while being spacious (it helps that Viktor was there to share the space). Plus, from the small glimpse of his bedroom, everything looked pretty neat and thoughtfully placed

Speaking of the bedroom, we do see him keep trinkets— like the photo of his father and himself as a boy and other nicknacks— and I think that speaks a lot about him. Those small items hold a sentimental value, and I feel like if the two of you were to live together, he’s carry that habit into your shared home

You’d find pictures of the two of you together (maybe even wedding photos, if it gets to that point), ornaments or objects that remind him of special memories or an event, and collections of meaningful things. He’s definitely not a hoarder, but he has a way of decorating that feels personal and homely without making the space look cluttered

📄 𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠.𝐝𝐨𝐜

I always disliked getting to this part of the headcanon alphabet because my heart can’t imagine breaking up with my favourite person. Breaking up is something Jayce would avoid as much as possible

He’s not the type to walk away lightly. If there was an issue, he would always try to fix things— sometime to the point where he might be blinded by his own feelings. In such a pivotal moment like this, he might fail to see the bigger picture, not realising that letting go could actually be the healthiest option for both of you

Jayce values commitment deeply, so it would take something monumental— likely a circumstance outside of his control— for him to really reach the point of ending a relationship

If he was the one to break things off, it would be rooted in his self doubts. We’ve seen blame himself heavily when things go wrong, like after his decision to arm the Enforcers with Hextech weapons led to disastrous fallout. If he started to believe that his actions were causing you pain or holding you back, those insecure thoughts could push him to make the heartbreaking choice to let you go.

Another major reason might be to protect you. As a public figure, tied to the Hextech legacy and Piltover’s council, there’s always a risk of danger surrounding him. The idea of his enemies harming you because of your connection with him would be unbearable. He’d rather live the ache of losing you than risk you getting hurt because of him

We’ve seen how much he struggled with his emotions— like when he broke down after seeing the destruction on the bridge blockade (and threw up over the bridge, yikes) or when Viktor revealed his illness. And don’t get me started on his face when he saw one of the smugglers helping with the Shimmer was a child.

Before actually saying the words, he’d spend sleepless nights agonising over the decision, rehearsing his explanation until his head starts pounding. When the moment comes, Jayce would be nothing but straightforward and compassionate though (even though he’s dying inside and would break into a sob if you keep looking at him like that)

I can see him blame himself more than necessary. His emotional driven nature means he could take on too much guilt. He would reassure you repeatedly that he still cares about you and you deserve better or that he didn’t want to hold you back. It’s not that he doesn’t love you— it’s that he loves you too much to put you in harms way or causing you unhappiness

If the breakup wasn’t his choice, it would devastate him. His idealism and compassion runs deep, and losing someone he loves deeply would make him feel like a failure.

While Jayce isn’t naive in the traditional sense, his trusting and tendency to act impulsive sometimes might make you feel like he’s putting others’ agendas above your own values or your relationship. If you feel like his choices are constantly being driven by outside influences, or his passion for progress leaves little room for the two of you, it could push you to make the decision to leave.

Other reasons could be an imbalance of ambition. You might reach to a point where you feel emotionally drained, unable to keep up with the pace or the expectations of someone so involved in shaping the future of Piltover— and staying longer could be daunting

Jayce would respect your decisions, even though it hollowed him out. This brings me back to the sadness in Jayce’s eyes when Viktor left him, ending his partnership with him.

He might try to make amends, but he wouldn’t force you to stay. You might catch a glimpse of his heartbreak the way he buries himself in work, pushing himself harder than ever to keep his mind occupied

📄 𝐅𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞.𝐝𝐨𝐜

Jayce is incredibly ambitious, and even before his rise to the Council, he was locked in with his studies at Piltover Academy. Marriage wouldn’t necessarily be at the forefront of his mind— at least, not until he feels like he’s reaching a point where it makes sense for him to settle down

That being said, Jayce is also emotional and very passionate. If you were in a committed relationship, he might consider the idea of marriage. Though he would make sure his other goals, like completing his work or studies, were handled first. It’s the practical and plausible choice in his eyes

When it comes to cultural norms in Piltover, particularly among the elite, there’s a focus on status, achievements, and societal contributions over personal milestones such as marriages. And if marriage was considered, it’s often seen as a catalyst for strengthening alliances or enhancing social standings

This might influence Jayce, especially after becoming a Council Member. While navigating the political implications of marriage, he refuses to prioritise it for political reasons. He wouldn’t let it dictate something as important as his love life. For Jayce, marriage would only be on the table if it was based on genuine love and commitment— not ulterior motives

In the end, it might just work in his favour. A marriage built on love could serve as a stabilising force for him, painting him as a family man who values commitment and balance— a sentiment that even the Piltover’s elites would admire and trust

📄 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞.𝐝𝐨𝐜

Jayce has always shown his gentler side throughout the show, especially more so with his interactions with Viktor. One stand out moment is when Jayce gave up his seat during a council meeting so Viktor can sit comfortably— a simple gesture that speaks volume. It shows his attentiveness to the needs of those he cares about.

And when Viktor confides in him about his illness, Jayce doesn’t brush it aside. We see more of his reassurance in the last scene, telling Viktor that he was ‘never broken’. Anyways, I’m not just here to talk about him and Viktor.

Jayce approaches delicate situations with care, and as his romantic partner, you’d see that same emotional depth and consideration

His gentleness isn’t just emotional though, it’s physical too. His relationship with Mel is a perfect example. Even if their relationship had a political undertone, you can see Jayce being tender with her during their private moments, as if he’s always mindful of his touch and presence

As his partner, you would expect him to be just as tender with you. Whether it’s stroking your hand during a tough conversation or holding your chin while tilting your head up to look at him. Jayce doesn’t rush— he takes his time to show his care, both his actions and words

Part of this stems from his upbringing. His warm and respectful relationship with his mother is something he carries into how he treats others, and it’s evident that he values meaningful connections (his mother taught him well)

My God….where do I even start? To say this man isn’t a hugger is like saying the earth is flat. You know you’re lying to yourself

I cannot get over the scene where Jayce hugged Viktor before Viktor left him. You could see the yearning in his eyes when he pulled away

He’d definitely be the first to initiate a hug with his romantic partner. He’d take every opportunity to do so, especially if you’re in need of comfort or reassurance

Jayce’s hugs are unmatched. With his height and broad frame, you feel completely enveloped— like nothing in the world could hurt you. Bonus point for those biceps— when he wraps his arms around you, it’s a whole experience. It’ll leave you feeling protected, and completely loved

📄 𝐈 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮.𝐝𝐨𝐜

The first time Jayce confessed his love to you (and he definitely confessed first— have you seen the yearning in his eyes in the series?), he probably said something along the lines of ‘I’m in love with you.’ Words are powerful to him, and he needed to say something that truly expressed the depth of his feelings

A half-assed ‘I really like you’ wouldn’t have been enough for him— it wouldn’t even scratch the surface of what he felt. He wanted you to know, without any shadow of a doubt, how much you meant to him

And okay, technically, that might have not been a straight forward ‘I love you’ but it was the first time he used the word love. That counts for something, right?

It didn’t take him long to say those three words, though. I can picture it happening in one of his happiest moments with you— maybe after you surprised him with a gift, or did something meaningful that hit him right in the heart. Riding that high of happiness, he’d look at you with the biggest grin on his face and just let the words slip “I love you”

He’d probably laugh softly right after, a little sheepish but not at all regretful before sealing it with a kiss. A passionate, heartfelt one

Jayce is the type to say it more often in private, when it’s just the two of you. He doesn’t throw it around casually— every time he says it, you can tell he means it. The words don’t lose their weight, only growing stronger with every moment he spends with you

📄 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐲.𝐝���𝐜

Awhh Jayce. Whenever it comes to your relationship and how he handles things, he runs on a lot of passionate emotions, which can be both a good and bad thing. He doesn’t get irrationally jealous and starts throwing hands, but he definitely has a sense of pride and protectiveness

That being said, Jayce’s jealousy doesn’t come from possessiveness but rather from a deep-rooted fear of inadequacy or not being good enough for you. It’s not about him doubting you— it’s about him doubting himself

When jealousy creeps in, he doesn’t lash out or make a scene. Instead you might notice subtle changes— he becomes quieter, more distracted and overall a little less cheerful. He struggles to hide how much it’s bothering him, but it’s obvious in the way his usual enthusiasm and affection falters

When it’s really eating at him, he might let out a passive-aggressive remark. Though he doesn’t mean to, and it usually comes out more awkwardly than anything. If you ask him directly what’s wrong, he’ll brush it off with a humour-laced excuse, cracking a joke to deflect the situation (which lands awkwardly) all while feeling uneasy inside

It’s not until the weight of his overthinking gets too much to bear that he finally gives in and tells you “I don’t know I just…do you think I’m good enough for you?” It’s not just the jealousy, but the fear behind that’s talking

He didn’t expect you to laugh softly— not at him, but at how adorable he looked, all flustered and overthinking everything. You cupped his face and reassured him that he has absolutely no reason to doubt himself or your love. You kissed him softly, reminding him that you chose him, and no one else.

Jayce melted under your reassurance, his shoulders finally relaxed. He chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck and muttered about how silly he’s being. You could tell from the way his hands lingered on yours that your words meant everything to him

📄 𝐊𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬.𝐝𝐨𝐜

This is always my favourite headcanon to write up. Smooches. I've definitely rewatch the scene of Jayce and Mel’s first kiss more times than I’d care to admit, just so I could see how Jayce kisses his partner

The first time he confessed his love to you, and you returned the feeling, he was ecstatic. But he also didn’t want to be too forward (even though he’d dreamed about kissing you so many times). Instead, he softly kissed your knuckles. It was such a sweet, chivalrous gesture, and quickly became one of his go-to ways of showing affection. He even lowers his head every time to meet your hand, like a knight bowing before their queen

Forehead kisses are also his signature, especially if you’re shorter than him. He find them warm and protective, a way of silently showing his presence

Now, kisses from you turn him into an absolute puddle. Surprise kisses are his ultimate weakness. The first time you caught him off guard, he just stood there, startled. Blinking like you’d short-circuited his brain. You pulled back with an innocent look, and he ended up rubbing the back of his neck, trying (and failing) to hide how flustered he was

There’s one moment where you hugged him from behind and kissed the back of his neck. He didn’t even know he was into neck kisses like that until you did it. He’s too shy to bring it up, but secretly hopes you’ll do it again (you absolutely should). Cheek kisses and forehead kisses from you are also high on the list, but the neck kiss is a core memory now

First time you shared a kiss, it felt like his whole world was muted. I can imagine him tilting your head up from your chin, and his eyes flicked between yours and your lips. while his heart is jackhammering inside his chest like crazy (how were you even more beautiful up close?). He almost hesitated, but when your eyes softened in anticipation, he leaned in.

The first kiss was gentle, almost weary, like he was testing the waters. But when you kissed him back, he couldn’t help but deepen it slightly, tilting his head to fit against you perfectly. That moment would be burned into his psych forever— how your soft lips felt against his, the way you made his chest tighten and stomach flutter.

📄 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞.𝐝𝐨𝐜

We haven’t really seen many paternal characteristics from Jayce in the series, so it’s a bit hard to pinpoint exactly how he would be as a father

However, based on the traits that shows throughout the series— his care for others, and his passion— I feel confident that he would be a good father (I can definitely see him asking his child to hold a flashlight while he’s working on a project in the lab, giving them the “mini assistant” title)

That said, fatherhood might not come naturally to him right away. The idea of having his own children wouldn’t initially cross his mind, especially how busy he is in the lab, and his additional duties as a councillor

Even if you do introduce the idea of having children, he would feel a little skeptical. Losing his father at a young age would play a role in his doubts— he didn’t grow up with an official father figure and might question if he's equipped for that role himself.

It would take time and some extra convincing for him to warm up to having children. But the moment you conceive, or once you finalise the adoption, everything changes.

When your belly starts to show, he would be all over you and the baby. He’d drop to his knees just to feel the baby kicking, resting his palms gently on your bump while murmuring sweet words to you and the little one

Once the baby is born— or if you do end up adopting— a switch flips inside him. He takes doting on the child to a whole new level. Sometimes, it might come off as overbearing (like when he creates an ultra-organised schedule for feeding, nap times, changing the diaper, and even tummy time)

Of course, he’s a man of science, Jayce comes prepared. Expect him to research everything about childcare— I’m talking crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s. Even applying scientific precision to parenthood.

But he’s also adjusting to the new lifestyle as much as you, so there will definitely be hiccups. At first he’s a bit of a nervous wreck— fumbling through diaper changes and fretting over the baby crying. But over time, he grows into the role, becoming a loving father.

📄 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠.𝐝𝐨𝐜

Naturally, Jayce would be an early riser— first as a dedicated student, then as a councillor with more duties. However, ever since you started living together, waking up to your warmth has made getting out of bed a lot harder

If he had the choice, he would sleep in just to stay wrapped up in you, basking in your presence. But the world doesn’t stop spinning, and the duties won’t take care of themselves

He showers first thing in the morning to wake himself up— probably preferring warm showers over cold ones. At this time, he prefers to be alone while freshening up, needing the quiet moment to fully wake up

On his mornings, he tends to rush through breakfast— even skip it entirely. But with you around, you always remind him to eat properly. While dressing, he multitasks, skimming through his reports with one hand while fastening his cuffs with the other

If he had to give a speech that day, you help him rehearse one last time in your room. He always steals a quick kiss on the cheek or on the lips before heading out. A quick thank you before the chaos of the day begins

On his days off however, he would definitely use the opportunity to stay in bed with you. Morning cuddles are non-negotiable. You’ll see a softer, almost puppy-like side of him— nuzzling into you, sneaking extra kisses, even draping himself over you just to keep you in bed longer

📄 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭.𝐝𝐨𝐜

It’s no surprise that Jayce often comes home late, exhausted from council meetings and Hextech work. Some nights, he doesn’t make it home at all, caught up in duties or attending evening events

If he’s working late in the lab, he tends to lose track of time, completely immersed in his research. He’s a workaholic when it comes to science, and sometimes, it takes you reminding him to step away and actually come to bed

On particularly long days, he’s so drained that he flops onto the bed fully clothed and immediately falls asleep. It’s happened more times than once— until you stepped in and stopped him

You help him out of his jacket and boots, and in return, he presses a tired but grateful kiss against your lips or forehead. Even when he’s dead tired, he still checks in on you, asking about your day— though don’t be surprised if he drifts off mid-conversation, lulled by exhaustion

On rare nights when he comes home early, the atmosphere is more relaxed. He enjoys having tea with you, unwinding as you both share stories about your day.

In bed, he pulls you close, whether you’re talking or just enjoying the quiet together. Physical touch is comfort to him, and even in his sleep, his arms always finds its way around you

If he comes home to find you already sleeping, he slips into bed carefully, wraps an arms round you from behind, plants a kiss to your shoulder before drifting off to sleep

He definitely sleeps better with you besides him— it’s probably something scientific, oxytocin level or whatever— but he knows with you there, he’s at peace

Whenever I think of Jayce being open and vulnerable, I think of his relationship with Mel— especially more so when he rests his head on her lap. One of his lines that stood out to me was “nothing feels impossible when I’m with you”

So I think I can confidently say that with Jayce, it won’t take long for him to reveal things about himself, after he fully trusts you. He’s not the type of person that has a tough shell exterior (Thank God), even if front of the council, where we’ve seen how easily his emotions can show when he’s under pressure

Though he wouldn’t reveal everything at once, when you are alone together there might be some moments of silence and others where he opens up about his past: the House Talis, his family’s business, and how he was expected to join— but instead, he pursued his passion for science and became a scholar in the Academy

Sometimes it might take a little longer to talk about things he sees as personal failures or flaws, like the unintended consequences of his decisions or the guilt he carries for not always living up to his ideals. He might hesitate, afraid to burden you, but you always listen attentively and the way you reassure him makes it easier for him to talk

He would open up more with time, especially about his ambitions and fears. Most of these heartfelt, vulnerable conversations would happen when you’re alone in bed together, with the stillness of the night and the soft glow of your light where he feels safe

This is a bit of a two-sided coin. And let me explain why.

On one hand, we could see Jayce tirelessly working on Hextech during his early Academy days. Back when he didn’t have a lot on his plate and was just still a student— he always pushed forward with determination. His persistence show he doesn’t let setbacks anger him, even when the Council doubted his research

Based on this, I imagine Jayce as someone who would patiently listen attentively to his partner, hearing you out on your problems, trying to find a solution without immediately jumping into anger. If arguments do happen, he’d avoid raising his voice, though he’d still stand firm on his beliefs. I feel like he’d process his emotions first, calming down before returning to the conversation

However, after becoming a Councillor, we see his patience start to wear thinner under the weight of his new responsibilities. His duties have multiplied, and the stakes have gotten much higher. We see his argument with Viktor over the bridge blockade.

By this point, he’s juggling political pressure, the Hextech weaponisation, and his own guilt over the chaos unfolding in Piltover and the Undercity. His frustration boils over because he and Viktor are no longer fully aligned, and Viktor questions his decisions

This is a rare moment of Jayce misdirecting his anger— his frustration at the whole situation, but Viktor ends up on the receiving end because Jayce is overwhelmed (not that I’m saying this is excusable)

I’m not saying that Jayce would snap at his partner easily— he’s still incredibly caring— but under extreme stress, his patience might fray, especially if he feels unsupported in difficult situations. That said, Jayce would immediately regret it. He doesn’t like being at odds with the people he loves, and he works quickly to apologise and make things right

📄 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐞𝐬.𝐝𝐨𝐜

One of the first things that comes to mind from the series is how Jayce never forgets the people who’ve helped him. After returning from the Arcane, he made it his mission to fulfil his promise to Viktor. Also, even as a councillor, despite his growing responsibilities, he still tries to check in on him, showing how much he values those close to him

That being said, Jayce would absolutely make an effort to remember details about his partner— especially if it’s something important to you. If you casually mention wanting something but never getting around to buying it, don’t be surprised if he gifts it to you later, acting like it’s no big deal

Another thing that proves how sentimental Jayce can be is his relationship with his mother. He still carries the medallion she gave him, a reminder of where he came from and the people who support him

Speaking of sentimentality— one year, on his birthday, you’ve gifted him a custom brooch, something small yet meaningful. Ever since then, he wears it on his jacket during council meetings, a quiet reminder of you no matter where he goes (that’s canon now)

One of Jayce’s favourite memories in your relationship is the time you surprised him with a telescope for his lab. You’d remember him casually mentioning how he was interested in astronomy and how owning a telescope would be pretty amazing. He never expected you to actually act on that passing comment

The morning he walked into your lab and saw it there, he was completely floored. From that day on, it became a tradition to spend every other night together in his lab, stargazing through the telescope and poring over his astronomy books

Those nights under the stars, where you both connected over something so simple yet meaningful, became a core memory for him. It wasn’t just the telescope, but the thoughtfulness behind the gift and how it brought you closer

A lover boy like Jayce Talis is bound to have a protective streak to match. Argue with the wall. If he would sacrifice himself to save humanity, then what makes you think he wouldn’t move mountains for his partner?

One of the scenes that has highlighted this to me was when Jayce saw that the Hexcore had saved Viktor’s life. When Heimerdinger instructed him to destroy it, Jayce got defensive— for Viktor. (I don’t know, I just love seeing Jayce get mad when it comes to protecting his loved ones. What a man!)

With that scene, I can totally see Jayce standing up for you, even in your absence. The last thing we wants is hearing people talking bad about his beloved. He doesn’t get aggressive, but he would be firm and commanding when defending you— especially to anybody who dares to overstep

That being said, he absolutely values a partner who truly believes in his work and isn’t afraid to stand up by him when the rest of the world is against him. Even though he doesn’t necessarily need someone to fight his battles, knowing that you’ve got his back just as much as he has yours will always give him the confidence he needs

Additionally, this man is physically strong. We’ve seen his physique in the forge scene, as well as his ability to wield the Mercury Hammer. I can only imagine how heavy that is, and he handles it like it’s a toy. So, of course, he would use his strength to physically protect you from danger (even if he doesn’t know how to fight)

As protective as Jayce is of you, he craves to feel secure and supported by his partner. You being his steady source of encouragement and emotional protection means the world to him. He might not outright ask for it, but small gestures— like gently reminding him to take a break and drink water— would make him feel loved and safe. Security in a relationship goes both ways and nothing feels insurmountable with you

With everything that I’ve described about Jayce so far, it wouldn’t make sense to say he wouldn’t put effort into your relationship. He isn’t the one to half-heartedly approach anything

We see a snippet of this in the series, all the way back to Season 1. After Caitlyn is suspended from the Enforcers by her mother, Jayce visits her and offers her a position as his personal bodyguard. While she does ultimately declines, this highlights how he tries to support and protect the people he cares about, even when they’re at a low point

Now imagine the level of care and attention he’ll bring to his romantic partner. Jayce would be the type to take anniversaries and birthdays seriously, plan them well in advance. Whether it’s an extravagant dinners at one of Piltover finest restaurants or a quiet night home in front of the fire, he’d make sure every detail is thoughtful and personal to you

Speaking of personal, Jayce would definitely be the type to make handmade gifts in his forge. One year, he surprised you with a metal rose for your birthday, each petal crafted with care

And let’s not forget the big one— your engagement ring. I saw a headcanon that Jayce would craft the ring himself, and I’m fully on board with the idea. That’s my our man right there!

Every moment of his labour, every drop of sweat from his pores, would be worth it to see the look on your face when he gets down on one knee and asks you the ultimate question. (And yes, he absolutely daydreams about that moment more often than he’d admit)

My brain was a little all over the place when I came this this letter, so let’s break it down

One of Jayce’s common flaws— something that’s pretty evident early in the first season— is his naïveté. He has moments where he lets other people’s influence guide his decision, like the councils agenda or Mel’s early manipulation

This habit could be deep into your relationship, too. He might unintentionally hurt you by prioritising the wrong thing or listening to other people’s opinion over yours, even when he means well. He’s not malicious, but it can still sting

Another habit of his (that’s tied to how much responsibility he carries) is his tendency to overwork himself. He takes on more than he can handle— working late in the lab, balancing council duties, or trying to fix every problem by himself

Because of this, he might struggle to make time for you. It’s not intentional, but you could feel neglected at times. And if he doesn’t pace himself, it could lead to burnout or moments where he’s short-tempered from stress— and you’d end up being on the receiving end

None of this means he doesn’t care about you, though. If anything, Jayce’s flaws come from how much he cares about everyone else. It’s just that sometimes, in trying to take care of the world, he forgets to care for himself. And you

After being appointed to the Council, Jayce definitely started putting more effort into his appearance. As the voice of progress and the co-founder of Hextech, all eyes are on him, so looking presentable is part of the job (not that it take much effort with Jayce)

The white jacket with the gold accents on the maroon shoulder pads show that he’s polished and takes pride in his status. The Talis family crest on his outfit is a reminder that he hasn’t forgotten his roots (plus the hammer doubling as the letter T is a chef’s kiss design choice)

Later in Season 2, we see him clean up after being stuck in the chaos of the Arcane. He ditches his council robe for a sharp black dress shirt with a white jacket (though I prefer it without the jacket, and definitely not because we get a better view of his biceps)

Honestly, I’m still vexed that we only got to see him in that outfit for a few scenes. It was easily his coldest look, and I think dark colours suit him more— it might be the scruff and the longer hair that really ties it all together

𝐖𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞.𝐝𝐨𝐜

Whenever I think of Jayce, I’ve always seen him as independent. From his early Academy days, he was immersed in his research, working in the lab to chase his vision for Hextech. Even before that, it was just him and his mother growing up— he learned earlier on to rely on himself to push through life’s challenges.

But even Jayce knows the importance of connections. After all, it was the Kirammans patronage that gave him the foundation he needed to bring his dream to life. He’s never truly been alone, even if he feels like the world was on his shoulders

With that in mind, it’s hard to imagine Jayce feeling entirely ‘incomplete’ without you. He has his work, his allies, and his sense of purpose to keep him moving forward. But that’s not to say you haven’t profoundly changed his life for the better. Being your partner has opened new doors for him, feelings he didn’t fully understand before— love, partnership, and the comfort of knowing someone sees him for who he truly is.

You’ve given him something deeper than any political alliance or patronage could— a sense of belonging and a safe space.

If, God forbid, the two of you were to ever separate, he'll keep going because that’s who he is. This headcanon has nothing to do with your relationship, but rather, Jayce’s signature scent. As a Councilman, an inventor, and former Academy scholar, his fragrance reflects his polished, ambitious image— but without overshadowing the warm, approachable demeanor that makes him so charming

You can always tell when he’s in the room— his cologne lingers just enough to leave a lasting impression, but it’s never overpowering

Here’s what I think his scent would be like:

Base note— I imagine sandalwood or cedarwood, which gives the fragrance a rich, slightly smoky essence that feels masculine

Heart note— maybe amber or vanilla. Adding a touch of sweetness that mirrors his good-natured personality

For someone who genuinely does have a good heart— someone driven by passion and ideals— it’s not surprising that Jayce has a few deal breakers in a partner. Whiles he’s not one to judge so hastily, certain behaviours and mindsets could clash with his values and make the relationship unsustainable

Jayce is a man with vision. He dreams to unite magic and technology has defined his life, and we’ve seen how deeply he pours into his work. Do you know how hard it is to build new technology, as well as harnessing magic? Back in his Academy days, when everyone doubted him (including his mother) he hit his lowest point. He knows how it feels to have your efforts dismissed, so he thrives on encouragement (we’ve seen it from Caitlyn).

A partner who undermines his ambition or brushes off his ideas would cut deep. He could handle skepticism from strangers, but the love of his life— that would wound him

He’s also a man who strives for progress— not just for himself, but for the world. His vision for innovation isn’t just for selfish reasons— he wants to help improve lives. So, if his partner was indifferent to larger issues or uninterested in changing the world, that disconnection could create a rift between the two of you. Jayce is someone who wants to share his dreams, not feel like he’s dragging someone along

Jayce is vulnerable when it comes to his personal life. He thrives off of constructive criticism when it’s beneficial. But constants belittling from his partner who only points out his flaws while ignoring his effort, would chip away at his confidence. He already struggles with his self-doubt at time, but harsh words from you would only amplify the dark voice of his doubts

And going back to his emotional nature. I’ve mentioned earlier that Jayce isn’t the type to call quits immediately, even when the red flag starts to appear. He would try to make it work, holding onto hope and trying to see the best in you. But if the relationship is starting to drain his energy rather than uplifting him, even his optimistic heart would have to let go

Have you ever seen a koala hugging a tree? Now, imagine Jayce as the koala and you as the tree. Are you getting the vision?

When you sleep together, he’s quick to have his arms clutching around you. His face is either buried in the crook of your neck or resting on your chest— all while being the small spoon (how greedy)

However, Jayce tends to forget that his body runs hot naturally, especially when he’s already half-asleep. So you’ll often wake up feeling like you’re trapped in a furnace of his body heat

On warmer nights, he would sleep shirtless, of course. He also loves the skin-to-skin contact when he’s cuddling you. It’s his favourite way to fall asleep

You like to watch out for any toon you encounter, really. Some are more friendly while a few others are a bit hesitant and then there's Shrimpo too. So many toons like you and enjoy your company a lot! They really appreciate that you take the time to make sure they are doing well and check if there is anything they need! It's something that also makes you happy when you help a toon or even be there for another when they face a problem, you are always happy to help, after all!

-Shrimpo is one of the cases where it's tricky to even say anything to him without him yelling at you about how he hates your words and that. Despite that, you still make sure to tell him to take care of himself and take time to cool off for his sake which gets you the usual response. Though at least he seems to pause as he registers your words first in his brain before yelling insults back, he doesn't do that to anyone else so.. could be some progress? He hates that your words repeat on his mind and the other toons trust you more to maybe try and get through into him though you know it's gonna take a long time.

-You really enjoy being invited and doing activities with everyone else, though! Whether it's something simple like reading books at the book club with Astro, Brightney, Razzle & Dazzle, baking with Cosmo, Sprout, Boxten or even something that requires more effort like Vee's gameshows and even physical work like helping Shelly with carrying dinosaur fossils to assemble together! Even just having talks with toons like Flutter, Teagan and more, it makes you happy just spending time with everyone and you can tell it makes them happy as well, especially when you are so caring!

-Even though sometimes you need to have a schedule to make sure to spend time with everyone, you don't mind! It's also cute how many of the toons really wanna hang out with you constantly or look for you for any advice or help, you can't lie, it makes you happy! Though when it gets a bit tiring, you do set boundaries so you can get some good rest and recharge, you really do love what you do but don't forget to take care of yourself too! You can't keep going if you don't take care of yourself too, after all.

-You do find yourself getting gifts here and there! You find it adorable how you can literally tell who send you a specific gift, as they all have their own little personalities and it shows in the way they made the present. You try your best to decorate your own room or put them in a way where you want to keep them safe and not risk damaging them. It feels good after a full day to just sit by your room and look through every single one of them, even the new ones you got! Thankfully your room is big enough but you feel sad for the day where you have to ask them to stop with the gifts! You really want to keep them but there is no space!!

-Toodles also adores spending time with you! She considers you a mother figure and loves to gift you drawings of what she happened to draw or even a drawing where you are holding her hand! She still remembers that night where it was so dark and you happened to be awake and comfort her, helping her get back to sleep, she still remembers the feeling of you holding her hand before she went to dream good and happy things. Your touch is one where it's comforting and it's so gentle that it makes Toodles want to keep holding your hand!

-Whenever someone doesn't feel well because they got sick or they feel down in general, you are always there to lend a helping hand and help them focus on things that matter. You take care of someone who is sick and stay at their side and you always like to give comforting words and advice to those that really need to hear it. Though if someone just wants to let out a good cry, you are there to hold them close and allow them to feel their emotions. They are a few toons that you see often, such as Glisten, Shelly, Boxten, Flutter and more who come by because they feel like they are losing it.

-Some toons might not be as close to you as others but they do appreciate what you do for everyone and admire you. Vee doesn't really know what to say other than hello when you pass by her and say a quick hi, she wants to ask you more about what you are doing but doesn't know how to really start a conversation, though you still smile at her and continue to say a quick hi no matter how she reacts, she is intrigued for sure. Or even Connie and Gigi, Connie keeps following you around in whatever you do and Gigi likes you enough to not steal anything from you though these two never really approach you to really talk to you, you do offer here and there whenever you spot them and they just smile and consider your offer. Who knows, maybe you'll get closer to them as well in the future!

-Though in general, while walking around, you always like to greet everyone and wish them a good day. You really can't lie when seeing your friends around you, it truly makes you feel so nice and it's even better when they smile so happily at you. Life at gardenview is really something and you love all your friends so much, everyone has an interesting and unique personality that you love getting to know. It makes life here worth living and happy.

-You can't wait to see how many future adventures, talks, memories or anything else you will encounter in the future but you can't wait for any of them. Every day is eventful and something nice always happens, whether someone is setting a party, a good gameshow, a show in the circus or anything else, you will be there to see it together with everyone else. Oil is Thicker Then Blood (Part 102)

Welding while three days overdue in a pregnancy is hard Uzi realized.

The inside of the shuttle was warm enough that the wind and weather outside wasn't something to worry about, but the amount of strain the baby was putting on her internals was slowing her down heavily.

Even still… it was almost finished.

All that was left was the internals, the controls and the little bit of air they needed to cool their systems. And it would be ready.

And so right now she was putting in the cramped recharge pods that would be the bulk of the inside, small little upright beds that filled the function of a place to rest and…not much else.

When space is at a premium, it would have to do.

Khan was working on the airlock, big, steel hydrologic doors. His expertise. So they were nearly working side by side.

Uzi stretched upwards to reach the ceiling from the step ladder she was using,sealing up a messily managed cluster of wires within a tube of aluminum. And then doubled over in pain.

She made a wince and a squeak and held her expanded abdomen as a wave of pain shot through her.

Khan was on her in an instant, taking one of her hands in his own and helping her off the stepladder.

“Uzi! Are you alright? Is the baby-”

“N-no! No. Just uh… just them kicking me in the stomach. Ow…” She calmed him. “I almost wish…”

Khan still held her and made her sit in one of the incomplete charge pods, checking her over.

“I'm fine. Dad.” She almost laughed, but it turned into another wince as the baby proceeded to kick the shit out of her insides once more.

“Agh…”

“Maybe you should sit the rest of the construction out dronelette… you need rest.”

“What I need is to get this done. This was my plan and it needs to work and-” She struggles to get out of the pod, legs kicking our uselessly.

“And you have been every single day you have been able. It's just finishing touches, then we start packing what we can.”

Uzi crossed her arms in a huff.

“I don't wanna be useless.”

“No offense dronelette, but I think your body has more say about that then your mouth.” He smiles sheepishly, gesturing to the fact she couldn't even get out of a shallow pod by herself.

“Bite me.”

He laughed and helped her out of the pod, not letting go until both her feet were on the ground and she was steady on them.

“Where's N? Still on patrol?” He asks, hand still on her back.

“Yeah, he'll be out for awhile…”

“I gotcha.” He peered out the door, flagging down somebody.

“Nico! Can I borrow you for a minute?” He shouted, at the purple eyelighted door gaurd, who was deep in conversation with his partner.

“Aye sir!” He rushed over with a lopsided grin. Goggles bouncing on his head.

“Can you lead my daughter back to her apartment for me?” Khan asks, smiling happily at the young man.

“Dad! I can walk on my own!” Uzi protested, but it went in one ear and out the other.

“Sí Mr. Doorman.” Nico replied, getting into place at Uzi's side despite her indignant grumbles.

“Thank you, Varga.” Khan grinned, before heading back inside the ship. Nico and Uzi look at each other.

“After you senora?”

“I'm not that much older then you…” Uzi smirked, raising her eyebrow. And Nico just laughed.

“Hehe… I'm just being polite.” He rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. “You snapped at me for my manners once.”

“Huh?” Uzi wracked her brain. “Oh! Were you the same guy who was staring at Tera when she was a pillbaby?”

They began to walk, passing through the doors of the bunker.

“Guilty. Forgive me? Por favor? I was just surprised… you never struck me as someone who wanted kids, at least… at the time.” He grinned.

“I think I was just in a bad mood that day. I was getting lots of stares.” Uzi admitted, feeling a little self conscious.

“Lo siento, aren't you always in a bad mood?”

“Hey!” She snarled as they passed by several residential doors, before she deflated and smiled. “I guess you're not wrong.”

He laughed again. It sounded… familiar somehow.

“If dad's gonna have you tail me, I need to pick up my daughter from a freinds house before I head home.” She spoke, and at her words, his smile seemed to get a little pained.

“Of course. It's Tera right?” He asked, cocking his head. “How… is she?”

“Tera? You mean other then destroying everything soft she can get her fangs on? She's great, she's so energetic, she's a little hard to keep track of.”

He smiles, then looks confused. “Fangs?”

Uzi looks guilty, looking away from him.

“That's… my fault. My oil is… uh, effected by a condition…” She shows him a flash of her own fangs. “And I didn't realize it was contagious that way until it was too late.’

Nico furrows his brow, Uzi mistakes his concern for judgement. “It doesn't seem to effect her negatively! She's happy and healthy, it's just… she'll look different, is all.”

Nico nods once. “I wasn't judging.”

“So long as she is happy, I don't think anyone will judge. You took her in when… no one else wanted to, or could.”

“If no one has thanked you yet. Let me be the first.” He smiles, for once it seems to go up to his visor. “Gracias, Miss Doorman.”

“Uh… you're welcome?” She returns a confused smile as they stop in front of a door that reads “von Roth”.

Nico nods again before coughing and pulling out a little military canteen, taking a swig of it.

Uzi looks at him curiously.

“Ah, software issue… I go through coolant like my abuelo did battery acid! Hehe.”

Uzi nods, satisfied with his answer before knocking on the door with three quick raps.

A drone with light blue eyelights answers the door with a beaming smile. “Oh! Mrs Doorman! You're here to pick up Tera yes?” His accent is slightly Italian, and he smells slightly of fermented oil.

“That's right.”

“I'm Jason! Nice to meet ya!” He shakes her hand firmly. “My Flower’s getting her now. What a good kid you have, treats my daughter like a princess!”

“Uh, thank you Jason.” Uzi says awkwardly.

Delilah pops her head put under his arm, and he chuckles before moving out of the way for her.

“Hi Uzi! Here she is!”

Tera is handed to her… with a big fat purple bow tied up in her hair and forced into a little grey dress.

She looks defeated. Looking up at her mother with eyes that pray ‘please help me.’

“Oh God! What happened to you!?” Uzi smiled, incredibly amused at Tera's deadpan expression.

“Dress up.” Tera answers, as Delilah squeals.

“Look how adorable she looks! Though it was a lot of effort to get her in that dress…” She shows off the tiny scratches on her hands.

considering that Tera resisted being dressed in anything. The fact the Delilah was not in worse shape was astonishing.

“I'd say… Thank you for watching her.”

“Oh, no problem! She's a sweetheart, any time you need!” Delilah answers, before her husband pulls her into a little head nuzzle.

“Absolutely! Kiara needs more freinds like her!” He waves as Nico and Uzi move off, Tera crossing her arms in indignation.

“Not a fan of the dress chica?” Nico asks with an amused look.

“No.” Tera answers, shaking her head and pouting in her mother's arms. It's not until she does the toddler equivalent of a double take that she notices him and stares, cocking her head.

“Heh, Heya kiddo.” He smiles, face soft. Uzi raises a brow.

“Hi! Like you!” She says immediately, beginning to vibrate. “Name?”

“Ah. Nico.” He replies.

“Hi Nico!” She replies back, grinning visor seam to visor seam. Forgetting for a moment all about her distaste for the dress she was in.

But… too quickly, Uzi was at her door, and it was time to say goodbye.

“Thanks for walking with me. It was nice, even if my dad made you.”

“Don't mention it. You both take care, sí?” He cocked his head.

There are no grand or unusual edges to this house.

The interior is sparse.

It lacks warmth and sunlight.

Like a house in the middle of windy weather lacking regular visits from its residents.

There is no big, loud front door to invite others in.

The residents here would be quite aggressive and masculine. There could be a boy, an older man, someone of authority, but something feels old and tired.

Your inner home stores lots of hidden angers, disappointment, and wounded emotions. And they may not even yours. Some are from others living rent-free in your inner home. They would sometimes try to send you messages to let them free but not too successful.

There is a thick veil shrouding this home, creating confusion.

Some innovation is needed. Light up the house, open the windows, and let the cold and distant thoughts have a walk outside. Maybe some will walk away for good, leaving behind space for a warmer, livelier one.

2. Rose quartz

I see a big mansion or a castle ruled by a feminine figure. A queen, but there seems to be no king.

Only the soldiers and the court messengers are male.

This place is literally the centre of yourself.

Everything that ever been born, created, and manifested comes from this place.

It is vibrant, solid, intimate, and mysterious. Like a temple or monastery high up on a mountain.

Do you think Jikook took a break from each other last year? What do you think was going on?

Hey Anon, i know you asked this a couple months ago. Sorry that i took a long while to answer ... i thought about it a lot. Not because I was thinking about if they took a break, but because i was questioning what would prompt a person to think they did.

Maybe you didn't see all the things i saw?

If you did see it all, maybe you're more sceptical than i am?

I wondered if maybe I am too much of a romantic, or if i was seeing things that aren't there.

Did I read too much into all those livestreams JK did to hype Jimin when he was promoting FACE last year? All the times he watched the promos with ARMY and then watched the youtube compilation of BTS teasing Jimin, and then sang Jimin's songs.

Was i too taken in by the comments back and forth on Weverse last year when Jimin was recording his music shows, or the fact that Jimin went live in the car on the way home from Inkigayo and spent the entire trip chatting to JK as though ARMY wasn't there.

Did I misconstrue the fact that Jimin and Jungkook made TWO trips overseas together last year without any apparent reason. (Yes there are rumours about a camping trip and other content but that seems like an excuse rather than a reason )

Did i misunderstand JK's visit to Jimin's dance practice, or the glum comments jimin made in his live about JK working too hard, or the fond way JK spoke about Jimin on Suchwita?

Did i see too much significance in JK begging Jimin to do a livestream with him while naked, in bed, and flexing his biceps shamelessly?

Did i place too much emphasis on the fact the JK sang backing vocals for Jimin's hidden track on his album, in a song that was very clearly a love song for ARMY.

Did i overestimate the importance of the half naked photo of the two of them that Jimin posted for Jungkook’s birthday?

Did i misunderstand what made JK come directly from his workout to join Jimin’s Production Diary viewing, or that JK was completely prepared to sit there next to Jimin if he was needed (or to leave if he wasn't).

Did i get carried away by the idea of them spending Chuseok together on a yacht?

Did i jump to conclusions about them enlisting in the military as companions and taking a post in one of the most inhospitable and dangerous units just so they could be together?

To be objective, and because I'm the first to admit that we honestly dont know what they do when there's no camera around, i will say maybe they did have a break. It's entirely possible they spent a few days apart. Maybe even a week?

All couples need time apart. All people need personal space and the opportunity to be alone with their thoughts.

It's part of having your own identity.

It's heathy to have time to rest and recharge no matter how much you love someone.

Don't ever be afraid of having your own space, and time to yourself, anon! It will make the time you spend with your partner even more rewarding 💜
