everyone thinks that they know us, but they know nothing about…

this album has been such a rewarding piece to create and im so glad that soon enough you will all be able to listen and enjoy it with me! one thing i love in particular about this album is the song ‘dress’

dress was originally a piece i started to write when making reputation however i felt it was right to keep it to myself, to keep it between my partner and i for a little while longer. however recently our lives have been changing for the better, and while that lid of privacy will still be on, i want to share more with you guys

you have all been on this journey with me and you have treated my partner and i with the upmost respect and for that i thank you. for me dress is a letter, its statement, its a declaration of my love for him and im very grateful to be able to give this to you all

Something I noticed about every fanfic that has the "Jason for some inexplicable reason decides to take pity on Tim after Damian replaces him as Robin" plot-line is that it always feels like it's less about developing a realistic relationship between the two and more about bashing Dick Grayson. For example, there always seems to be some moment where Jason will mention how Dick was super shitty to him for being Robin, but from what I've read with that storyline, the worst Dick comes across is kinda aloof towards what is essentially a random 13 year old (please note that I've only read Nightwing Year One and that one panel from the RHaTO Annual that shows that Alfred had Jason sleeping in Dick's room, so if there is a version I've missed please let me know)

Meanwhile Tim really was shitty towards Jason and his death but for some reason he gets a free pass.

So I am actually a Dick and Jason pre-death relationship enthusiast so this might turn out to be mostly about them because as much as I hate Tim, I love talking about Dick and Jason more.

But it’s the classic case of those fans taking things that were mentioned in passing or were very minor and blowing them way out of proportion.

So pre-crisis Dick and Jason did not interact very much after Jason became Robin but before Jason was Robin some interesting things happened. Precrisis Jason was just blonde/red head (no it’s not the time to get into the semantics of that) Dick Grayson. You have to understand that to get it. He was an acrobat in a family called the flying Todd’s. His parents were actually named Joe and Trina. And they were killed by killer croc after they died we got this

DICK WANTED TO ADOPT JASON!!! HE DIDNT HATE HIM AT ALL. I don’t have a picture of the panel with me, but I have the issue it’s in but the first time they meet Dick says to Jason, that he reminds him of someone he knew a long time ago. (Obviously referring to himself.)

And Jason was originally going to form his own identity, which is where this suit comes from. 

But then Bruce gets captured so he dies his hair and steals a robin suit. (TIM HATE SIDEBAR NOT EVEN TIMS ORIGIN IS ORIGINAL LMAO) but he still wasn’t going to become Robin

We have this panel where he’s wearing the original suit trying to come up with a name after he dyed his hair because he got in trouble with Bruce for stealing Dick’s suit because he’s not Robin. 

And then Dick shows up and gives him Robin!! Tells him that he’s allowed to be Robin and that he’s gonna come up with a new identity with the Titans. Pre-crisis Bruce and Dick‘s separation was very amiable. 

(Another sidebar DC give Dick a mole again)

The idea that Dick didn’t like Jason at first comes from post crisis. Specifically Batman the new adventures #416 (this one I’m pulling out because I don’t remember exact details)

You have to take everything in this with a grain of salt because it’s written by Starlin who wanted to make Jason look as bad as possible. He makes Jason break into a possible drug lab and has Dick save him and call him reckless. and that it’s also not a drug lab so that Jason was wrong. What’s interesting about this is we learn that Jason did not know that Dick was Nightwing because Dick’s name drops Bruce and Jason is genuinely concerned about a stranger knowing Bruce’s identity.

And then we get Dick and Bruce fighting about Jason.

(These might be out of order but you get it)

But even with this by the end of the issue, we get this scene 

We’re dick and gives Jason his robin suit and his number (this page is so awful for so many reasons. Jason never grew into that Robin suit. And do you think he tried to call Dick before he went to Ethiopia?)

Then they go bust that drug ring together because it turns out Jason was right because even when Starlin was trying to make him look bad, he was so bad at it.

It ends with Bruce being smug as fuck like “I knew they would work it out” or some shit.

TLDR: Dick never hated Jason. He voluntarily gave him Robin both pre and post crisis, but post crisis Bruce gave it to him first without Dick‘s permission and Dick was upset with Bruce because of it, not Jason. 

Anyway, back to Tim hating. I personally think it’s because there’s no other reason for Jason and Tim to relate to each other. And keep in mind ALL of the “replacement” stuff is blown way out of proportion. From every predecessor to successor. But these people only care about Tim. They use Jason and Dick as vessels to make Tim look as good as possible. I doubt any of them have read any pre Jason death comics let alone ones where Dick and Jason interact. 

Or even modern comics set before he dies!! Because even at nightwing year one they bond and RHATO is probably the only comic they’ve read of Jason‘s. But again they have bonding moments in new 52!! Not as many because it’s new 52 but there are a few.

Anyway, my point is those Tim stans are in a bad game of telephone because they don’t actually read comics.

Bad Idea Right?

Pairings: Ex!Joe burrow x Ex!Reader Warnings:Alcohol use, situationship, mentions of sex Summary- What happens when y/n gets a text message from someone in her past that her friends are not fond of? Her friends tell her not to go but it can’t be a bad idea…. right?

Who would have thought I would end the night with him, In his bed cuddled with him like we are together. Should I regret it? Probably. Do I regret it? Hell no! Have you seen this man he is literally a walking hercules and who am I to block an opportunity that I was given. Anyways, you may be asking, "y/n what the heck are you even talking about?". Well let's go back to earlier in the day where everything started.

My friends and I were talking about throwing a party and I couldn't be more excited. I needed something to get my mind off of him. Me and Joe are kinda rocky when it comes to a relationship. We broke up about two months ago. Usually when two people break up they dont talk to each other, buttttt me and Joe have been sneaking around for the past two weeks. No one knows about this, not my friends, not his friends just sneaking around like two teenagers. 

As we all sit on my couch we start talking about party details, y’know the time, who to invite the food, all that good boring stuff when out of nowhere melody says this.

“Well since we're talking about personal invites I don't think you should invite Joe y/n”- Melody 

“Why would I invite Joe? We're done. Over” I said lying through my teeth knowing that we were still hooking up.

“I'm just saying you seem to be tense each time you see him. Like that one time we were watching tv and his Bose ad came on. You looked like you saw a ghost.” She says laughing.

“I was Just shocked at his dance moves, I thought I taught him better when we took that dance class.” and that was true we did take a dance class but let's just say, Joeys not dancing for a while.

“I wasn't the worst i've seen but also not the best”- Kaylee says while  writing something down.

OK! Can we stop talking about my ex, kinda getting weird. 

“Ok but just know Joe Burrow is not allowed through these doors.” Melody says in a serious tone.

“Got it Not allowed through the doors.” I say looking at her. 

“I'll just let him in the backyard” I say in my head.

Getting ready for the party I put on my outfit and did my makeup. As I'm putting on my mascara I get a facetime. I look at the screen and immediately knew it was joe as his contact name is “LOSER NOT WORTH MENTIONING🩷” showed up. Reluctantly I picked up the phone.

“What?” I say in a aggravated tone 

“Well hello to you too” Joe says, rolling his eyes on the other side of the phone.

 “What are you doing?” he says, trying to change the vibe of the call.

Getting ready-i say in a sassy tone.

“For?”- Joe

“My party”-y/n

“And i didnt get an invite?” joe says with that cocky smile on his face 

“Didn't think you needed one considering we were not really together”- I say side eyeing him so hard you could feel it.

“Just because we're not together doesn't mean we cant be friends”- joe 

“If this is what you call just friends I would love to see what you do with people you hate.” i say laughing

“You know what i mean” - Joe

“Friends dont have sex nearly every night and talk to each other the way we do.”- y/n

“Well friends also don't hide things from each other” Joe says, placing the phone down so I could see him.

“I didn't invite you because you are not allowed to come, you are not exactly on my friend's good side right now.”- y/n

 My friend did not like Joeto much after the shit they had heard about him from endless phone calls to late night gossip sessions at the house. He didn't hurt me like cheat or anything. He is actually a nice guy but anyone who plays mind games and gaslights is a no no in my friend's book.

“Nothing new, I wasn't on their good side when we were together.”- Joe

“But since I can't come to you, how about you come to me?”- Joe 

“And why would I do that?” I genuinely asked because who was he to think I would leave my own party for him.

Because we can't get enough of each other no matter how hard we try we both know that we will all go back.

And Joe was right, no matter how hard I tried to move on, no one seemed to understand me like Joe does. He knows everything about me. He accepts me for who I am and vice versa. Still sad we didn't work out due to commitment and trust issues. I think when the time's right Joe and I will be perfect for eachother.

“Well I'll think about it.”- I say 

“Good, let me know when you decide.” - Joe

I was having the time of my life. My friends made sure I didn't even think about joe. So much that I forgot to even remind him if I was coming or not. 

In the middle of taking group shots I feel a vibrate coming from my hip.

LOSER NOT WORTH MENTIONING🩷- u still coming??

“Don't do it.”-Kaylee says, looking over my shoulder.

“Who said I was?”

“You didn't say that but the look on your face said otherwise.”

“Okay but would you pass up a chance to just go back to your ex for one night.” 

“One night more like two weeks but she didn't need to know that right now.”

“No I wouldn't, he cheated and I'll be damned if I go back to him just to disrespect myself again.”

“Well I won't if i will make you happy.”

“Good”

Okay sooo im going to his house. You guys may say I have little respect for myself but all the respect leaves my body when I see that man. You get in a room alone with Joe Burrow and see how long you last without being all over him. Plus, can't be that bad of an idea right?

With my luck the rain decided to pour harder and completely drench me. Rushing to my car I hopped in and started it. I quickly texted Joe back telling him I was on my way. Thankfully The drive from my house to joes is not that far at all. Getting out of the car rushing to get to the front door as the rain came down on me. When I kid you not to say this man is a QB he is not quick on his feet off the field. I literally took him forever to open the door. 

Walking in the house I'm immediately tackled into hugs and kisses . After a while pushing wavy from him I decided I needed to put my clothes somewhere because wet clothes just don't feel comfortable. 

Eventually me and Joe decided to chill on the couch and talk for a while. And lets just say after the talk and cuddles the door was locked to that bedroom and that's how we got to this morning 

I woke up to like a million texts from my friends asking me why I disappeared in the middle of the party and I just told them all that I didn't feel well and went up early to sleep. Looking over left I see Joe sleeping with his arms wrapped around me. Part of me felt bad for lying to my friends about going to sleep early but technically i did lie i said I was sleep I just didn't say where.

ok . short debrief on my thoughts on rekos feelings about men because id rather put it as its own post instead of ranting on the tags of that post . just this one time

i think a huge part of reko's harshness on men has a lot to do with possible history in the music industry as a child that gets glossed over a lot, both within the story and by the fandom. of course being sold out by her father is already setting up a poor foundation for her expectations of the men in her life, but even besides that- theres so much inherently about the child star environment thats conducive to her distrust in men.

because i think thats a key part of it. reko isnt just harsher on them for no reason; reko distrusts men.

ytts spoilers under the cut.

she has this interaction with professor mishima in ytts, and i think it explains a bit more of initial poor opinion of him. reko doesnt just think hes some weird guy, she thinks hes some weird creepy guy. which, to be fair, if i some some old professor showing up with a young woman as a pair id probably be suspicious, too.

this is also outright confirmation that reko has had personal experience with men in positions of power who used that to take advantage of young women. but back to the child star aspect of it.

i dont think reko was ever in dan schneider levels of concerning situations, but even if reko never experienced being taken advantage by creepy men directly within her time in the lime light, i cant imagine she didnt find out about others who did. with her father blinded by greed, from her perspective, it mustve seemed like a "near miss" situation even if it never ended up happening to her. theres also how being popular so early on wouldve exposed to her the public eye, and how very well a lot of creepy men couldve been making up the most intense of her fans before she actively rebelled so she could have some autonomy over not just the kind of music she was making, but to the kind of people she wouldve been appealing to with her music.

i think theres also a really important character trait of reko's that gets understated in these conversations: reko is someone who isnt willing to compromise or be pushed on her boundaries.

this interaction may seem innocuous ("of course she doesnt give away that kind of information, its a creepy question"), but it directly contrasts something we learn about the AI earlier:

so not only is this something shes not willing to trust with someone she generally trusts (sara), its also something that as an AI should technically go against her nature.

theres other examples as well- reko shutting down joes fanboying at the very beginning of the game by asking him if its really the time, and of course a lot of her interactions with her brother are shadowed by the fact shes not willing to hide the fact she wants nothing to do with him. then, theres this dialogue tree which hints at a weird interaction between keiji and reko offscreen:

which is again hinting at the idea that reko doesnt give in or try to handle people 'softly' should they cross a line with her. her mixture of self-respect, not worrying about coming off crass, and distrust of (and possible history with creepy) men means she comes off pretty harsh at times; at least compared to what specifically women are expected to behave like, though the majority of it is like more defensive than offensive.

lastly, theres also the perspective of reko as an extremely talented woman in a male-dominated genre. punk, and rock music in general, are both mostly led by men. there are a lot of people out there who discredit women in rock music and will claim they have no musical talent, only being there to serve as eye candy, especially if the other band members are men. its not impossible that she went from making shitty (probably pop music) she hated because of being a gifted kid, and then finally working with the sound she wanted, only to suddenly have people turn and try to claim she couldnt play for shit because she was a woman. and in that sense, her harshness could come from another place too- the fact that its a lot easier to get credit as a man automatically for what others have to work to prove. though this take is the one based most on speculation, both because we dont have direct evidence of reko personally feeling this way, experiencing this, and also because im a westerner and this is based on my knowledge of the western punk rock scene, though id be far from surprised to hear if similar precedents were set in japan.

ja'marr IS a touchy-feely drunk, that is 1000% canon. his love language is physical touch (honest to god i think all of the lsu 2019 trio's love languages is physical touch -joe's just weird and prefers a slightly more violent version than justin and ja'marr <3) so ofc when all of his inhibitions are lowered, he just wants to express all of his love and make sure everyone is solid and safe and there.

(ja'marr's actual invitation was like 'come back to MY place' bc ofc it is) so they're a lil confused of why joe fucking burrow is here at ja'marr's place... but he might be here to wish ja'marr a happy birthday too?

but then they watch as joe gets the spare sheets from the closet and justin tells them where the toilet is bc out of the three of them, i personally think he'd be the 'do not fucking throw up on my carpets' person and they're even more confused but also drunk af and not really capable of executive thought.

the following morning, 2023 lsu come out of the bedroom (hungover ofc) with joe cooking some eggs or something with ja'marr glued to the back (and joe is moving around the kitchen comfortably like he's been there a million times -bc he has). justin is making coffee and gently teasing ja'marr over the amount of sugar and cream he puts in his coffee and ja'marr immediately grabs onto justin, wrapping himself around and tucking his head and whining. turns out he did have a lil bit of self-control last night but now he's not in public anymore and it's just them three (and the 2023 lsu) so ja'marr is freeeee to cuddle to his heart's content.

it takes a while, bc they're all hungover and their brains are moving slowly but it finally does click after ja'marr kisses both justin and joe in thanks for the post-birthday breakfast and it's like. oh. oooohhhh.

people on here really don't like re-contextualizing midnights as a breakup album but. with "hits different", with the news of their breakup, and now finally "youre losing me", it just. it makes so much sense as a break-up album. and even if we didnt consider it as one at the time, i dont think there's anything wrong with coming to see it as one now. looking at it at all at face value, it just makes sense. even if some people might not want to hear that.

taylor has always said midnights is an album about choices - the ones we treasure, the ones we regret, the ones we mull over until the early morning.

lavender haze, given all that we now know, was clearly about taylor trying to keep her head in the clouds -- blissful ignorance -- a la "lavendar haze" -- when its apprarent theres a big elephant in the room. i always found it interesting that whenever she referred to her and joe's relationship, she fixated a lot on when they first got together, and he was there for her when no one else was. its almost like that was her anchor and justification to stay with him anyway, despite the (now-implied) emotional neglect that was actually going on, despite the multiple breaks they've supposedly have had to take over the course of their relationship. she just wants to stay in that time period where everything was perfect, when everything was still rosy, in that "lavendar haze".

bejeweled -- the idea that, even though someone wants to keep her a secret, and dim her light in the process, it wont stop her from shining, and she cant help it. and if theyre not willing to let her shine, something has got to give. the idea of her being kept to the basement, by this person, when she just wants "the penthouse of your heart".

the same themes in bejeweled of doing all the extra credit, just to get graded on a curve, to youre losing me, where "i give all my best me's, my endless empathy, and all i did was bleed"

maybe calling midnights a breakup album is too reductive, since not all the songs refer to her and joe's relationship, and thus not every song is a breakup song. but to call midnights anything other than, at the very least, a melancholic, relationships-on-the-rocks (re: theme of staying up until midnight over decisions), break-up adjacent album, where its clear something has got to give, despite the good that they had - especially given the context we have now - is amiss.

like the wisdom that comes with looking back at her re-recordings with new eyes and revisiting those times knowing what she knows now, she also uses the theme of midnights to ponder her then-current problems. such as: do i have to lose the person that i love most, because nothing they are doing, and everything they have been doing, is not enough anymore?

Curse of Ability : Prologue

Flames and smoke consumed the alley way, not helping with the blurry vision he currently had. he was leaned against a wall of some sort. He was in agony, his side was throbbing

why did his side hurt so bad?

he moved his neck and heard a groan, was that him? he couldnt tell anymore, everything around him was spinning, and it felt like his senses were giving out. he pressed a hand to the aching on his abdomen, nothing was on his hand as he pulled away. He only noticed the purple and blue markings painting his side.

when did that happen? he couldnt remember. his head hurt. why did his head hurt to?

something bad happened, what couldve possibly happened

“ETHO!…….DOC HELP I CANT _____ __” was all he could make out from the yelling. what happened to etho? he squinted and peered in the direction the noise was coming from. he saw a green-ish figure trying to lift something off of who he assumed was etho‘s leg. ethos hair was stained red in the front. there was a taller fully green figure running over to the situation, helping move whatever it was off probably ethos leg. his head was pounding even harder now, the edges of his vision fading to a black. where was his help? where was everyone else? it hurts so bad, he wanted help.

a figure ran up to him, and was shouting something he couldnt make out. he had brown hair and yellow eyes, who was it. why wasnt his head working. his eyes were closing, he accepted his fate, to escape his bodies agony. everything faded to black as he gave up fighting to stay awake.

He woke up in a much nicer and quieter environment. he felt pillows and blankets surrounding him, the throbbing from earlier was now dulled down. he was slightly sitting up when he opened his eyes, he assumed whatever hospital bed he was in had a reclining feature. he took notice of the iv that was now dug into his hand, and the clean t shirt and shorts he was now dressed in, it felt nice. he took in his surroundings, there was a curtain in the room separating him from someone else, he was curious who was there but didn’t trust himself to move. the door creeped open, whoever it was coming in after realizing he was awake.

“Oh Grian! You’re awake, how are you feeling?” Xisuma exclaimed as he came in, quickly quieting his voice as he remembered whoever else was in the room.

“im good, what happened?” grian pondered to the older. X gave him a concerned look, then walked over to the laptop in the room, typing something on it.

“so you’re concussed, and have a broken rib or two. do you not remember the fight? against those empires people.” X questioned while checking grians heartrate. the empires people? it all came rushing back to him. smajor and the other empires people attacked hermitcraft.

“oh yea… whos on the other side of the curtain?” grian continued, raising his head slightly to look over.

“ etho, all your vitals are good, i do want you to stay here one more night just to make sure your okay.” X always was extra careful around injuries, he kept zed in this infirmary for 3 days over just a broken arm. grian didnt mind staying though, the bed was quite comfortable, and etho was here to keep him company!

“what happened to him?” grian nervously asked, thinking the worst after the blur he remembered from last night. something was on top of him, and he remembered there was blood. oh god.

“oh, broken leg and he cracked his head open. joes about to hurt himself with all the healings hes done so ethos gonna be out of commission for a while.” x sighed peaking around the curtain. grian didnt know if he was happy or sad for etho, he was happy etho didnt have to go out risking his life, but he knew etho would hate staying behind.

why did they take on that fight

they KNEW they would lose

the empires kids were just rich kids spending there parents money to hurt others, specifically the hermits. why are they so evil, atleast they had actual parents, and werent dropped off to some community with other orphans. this sucked, he hated this

“are you alright?” x snapped grian out of his trance, grians eyes locking to xisuma.

“y-yea, just thinking” x had a reassuring smile, and walked over to push back the curtain, revealing ethos sleeping form. he looked beaten to shit, did he try to fight them all himself, my god. his leg was in a boot elevated on a stack of pillows, and gauze was wrapped around his head, with extra padding on the left of his forehead, other scrapes and bruises around his body. Grian tried to recollect what could’ve happened, which was quickly interrupted.

“Blumming hell X im not waiting any longer, did they die?” Joel slammed the door open, and immediately made eye contact with the startled X and grian. Etho started to stir, Joel almost immediately gaining an apologetic look on his face.

“Oops, my bad” he awkwardly laughed

“Joel! You woke him up!” X reprimanded the younger, Grian quietly watched. Joel didn’t look great, but he was in better condition than himself and etho by far. Joel was in a hoodie and sweatpants, his hair unkept, and there was some markings on Joels hands that he couldnt make out. a plethora of ows came from the other side of the room. the 3 looked over to be met with etho sitting up, staring right back at them.

“oh, etho, my bad” Joel scratched the back of his neck.

“Etho how are you feeling, well obviously well enough to sit up on your own” X walked over and put the bed’s recliner up, Etho carefully laying back onto it.

“Fine,so do i not get an explanation on why im in the infirmary in a boot and with something wrong with my head..” Etho squinted his eyes, looking inbetween his leg and X.

“The whole empires battle happened, you thought you had Pixl, and then he dropped a giant piece of metal that luckily, only messed up your ankle. Then i guess as you fell and cracked your head open?” X removed the gauze on ethos head, revealing a gash closed up with staples, quickly replacing the dressing, ouch.

“Damn dude, almost killed you, you look badass now!” Joel walked over and sat on the end of Ethos bed, facing grian.

“okay, can i leave?” Etho moved his elevated leg as carefully as possible, slowly swinging both of his legs over the edge of the bed, attempting to get up before X immediately pushed him back

“you think im going to let you leave 5 minutes after you got up? your concussed, and are down a leg, we have to figure out someone to temporarily live with you!” Etho dramatically rolled his eyes and sighed, getting back into place onto the bed.

“ I can live with him, trust me im great at helping the poor out” Joel announced to X, X shaking his head.

“Not with your hand situation, your not in a much better place, im still thinking about sending someone with you.” Joel folded in on himself, pulling the sleeves of his hoodie over his hands, now having a more serious, worried expression on his face.

“Actually, let me see how the marks look now” X walked up to Joel and took one his hands, revealing purplish- reddish lightning scars starting at his finger tips leading down to slightly past his wrist. Joels hands also had gained a tremor of sorts, Joel looked away embarrassed.

“What happened?” Grian questions, Joel looking even more uncomfortable, X let go of his hands and went to write something onto his laptop.

“He went a little to far with his lightning, and he has scarring now and a tremor. He’s never had this before I couldnt really tell you why its happened, Joel does it hurt to touch?” Joel sighed and touched one of the scars, wincing the slightest bit.

“I mean, a little bit, but im not a bitch i can take it” Joel laughed, covering his hands again with his hoodie.

“Yea, your gonna stay with impulse for a week.” X pulled out his communicator, typing a message to who he assumed was impulse.

“What, why!? Ive been fine this whole time, what changed??” Joel jumped up from the end of the bed, immediately challenging the temporary move.

“I don’t know if i trust you to not use your electricity or use your hands to much, so impulse can make sure you don’t hurt yourself more” X simply stated, making eye contact with Joel. He knew every hermit like the back of his hand, and he knew Joel didnt have an off switch, and knew he would just make his hands worse.

“And Etho, would you rather room with Beef or Doc for a bit?” X asked the other, Etho pondering for a bit, fiddling with his fingers.

“Uh, Beef, probably.” X nodded in response and typed something out on his communicator, presumably messaging beef about his new roommate.

“Also, you both are staying here overnight, cause of the concussions, i want to make sure they aren’t horrible. Etho i want to make sure you can atleast make it to the bathroom if i leave and it’s just you two. And you too grian.” X grabbed a pair of crutches from the corner of the room and motioned Etho to maneuver off the bed. He handed them to Etho, the younger getting onto his one good foot, and used the crutches to hobble to the bathroom door, and back.

“Grian now you” why did he have to prove he could walk, he was pretty much okay! Grian sat up, immediately remembering the broken ribs. He got up and walked to the bathroom door, a group of profanitys leaving his mouth in the process. He mad his way back, his ribs killing him with even breathing now, this sucked.

“Okay good, me and Joel are going to leave now, if you need anything at all don’t hesitate to call me! Goodnight!” He waved as he ushed Joel out the door, Joel still arguing his living situation. The door shut and the room stayed silent.

“So what now” Etho asked, looking at the shorter, finishing up messing with the straps on his boot.

“I don’t know, kind of tired i might just go to sleep.” Grian muttered, looking at the clock, it was 11:17 pm. He rustled himself into the bed to get comfier, before realizing the light was left on, he couldnt move, he was slready in agony.

“I got it” Etho spoke as if he read the youngers mind, fumbling with his crutches and making his way over to the lightswitch, flicking the light off. Grian mumbled his thanks and Etho got into bed, both of them quickly falling asleep.

Part 2 of Logan meets the X-Men!

It's been months now since Logan and Wade first showed up to the X-Mansion.

Logan wasn't sure why they kept going. In all honesty, Magneto really had Logan stressed out, and he was finding himself angry at Charles for keeping him around. He'd have to remind himself that, maybe this timelines Logan knew about this "partnership", and maybe he was okay with the arrangement, but the worst Wolverine was not.

...Unless he could be convinced otherwise, and Wade was trying his absolute hardest to get Logan on board. Dragging him along on trips to the school that Wade never used to make before, unless dragged there by Colossus, and if Logan didn't know any better he'd think Wade was trying to get Magnetos approval.

Doesn't he know how he can hurt me? Logan would think to himself, and Wade would just look at him and smile excitedly, unknowingly, excited to even be near one of his... Heros? Is that what Erik was to him? It left a sour taste in Logans mouth.

At some point during their visits, Logan couldn't exactly remember when it happened, they'd started joining the X-Men on missions. Just small ones, no giant robots or evil masterminds, just regular superhero joe things like stopping a robbery, or helping little old ladies across the street.

Not actually, it's just what it felt like to Wade.

The Wolverine had to admit, aside from the missions he defenitely didn't want to be apart of, but went along for Wades sake and to keep an eye on him, it's been nice. Seeing the faces of his old friends, who he'd once considered family and still mostly, but it was hard for him to not feel disconnected from the whole thing. The pair would only see the X-Men at least once a week for these missions, or if there wasn't one then just for a visit, on Wades behalf.

It was disorienting. Logan had told the merc that, one night in bed, Wades nose tucked into the crevice of a perfectly hairy and smelly armpit while a leg was tangeled between two muscular and equally as furry ones.

"What is?" Wade muttered sheepishly, unwilling to pull his face away from the comforting heat and smell of Logans body.

"This whole X-Men thing, bub. I don't like it. Goin' to the school, goin' on childrens missions. Comin' back home and havin' to dread goin' back every goddamn week. Doin' a quick mission, then coming back home to... This," meaning domestication. Without missing a beat, lifting his head enough to look Logan in the eye, he said,

"Why don't we just move in?"

And so they did. It was hard on everyone. Charles was kind, offered them a room, or seperate rooms, but Wade insisted on sharing. Logan was thankful. Wade had also talked a lot about Althea to Charles and Magneto, one of two acting as if he hadn't been listening to Wades ramblings all along but actually, it had been Erik who suggested moving Al into the school. Even Charles looked shocked, and Wade actually broke down crying because "he DOES care!"

And although the initial idea of moving into the school was Wades idea, the move had been the hardest on him. Wade and change did not mix well, uprooting all of his things and his way of living because, lets be honest, moving into the school meant Wade would have to be on his best behavior. Change certain aspects of himself, and that had Wade in a spiral of angry outbursts, which turned into a full on mental breakdown. Then he'd be manic, happy to "move out of this shithole" and "give our sweet, darling daughter (Mary Puppins) the life she deserves. That mansion is hers and no one can tell her otherwise."

After all was said and done, Logan and his new found family moved into the mansion, it... Actually did feel a little better.

Everyone loved Mary Puppins. She was disgusting, and putrid, but the students adored her. Snuck her treats or parts of their meals under the table, took her outside to the nice big yard for her to play. Wade always had an hawks eye on her but otherwise, she was loved and taken care of.

The teachers and some of the older students liked to gather around Althea to listen to her talk. She had a lot of stories, most ending in cocaine, but she managed to change the narrative to be a little more school friendly. Even Magneto would hang around, arms crossed and leaned against a wall, silent but always listening. He took a liking to Al, and sometimes Logan would see him guiding her through the large, winding halls, Al on his arm in a sly attempt to cop a feel, but their conversations sounded pleasant enough.

Logan didn't sense any ill intention, so he never kicked up a fuss. It also helped that Logan had walked in on Magneto one time before one of his classes, standing in front of the danger room. His cape was scooped up and tangled inside of the silky warmth had been miss Mary herself. She looked blissed out, gnarly tongue hung over the side of her maw and drooling all over him, eyes closed, Magneto whispering to her sweetly. As soon as he'd seen Logan he cleared his throat, stopped his sweet nothings, but never put Mary down until class had begun.

Logan ended up joining him for the class. They fought a good battle, their team (the students) had all worked well together, and afterwards Logan had met up with Wade and shoved him into their bedroom with a low growl, pumped full of adrenaline, and that's when Logan decided he really needed to be an X-Man again.

More months went on. Logan and Magneto, as it turns out, work really fucking well together. Logan had always let his old team use his body as a weapon, free to throw him where they needed to be, to claw and destroy, because he knew they still respected him as a person. But when Erik had suggested it the first time, Logan had been angry.

I knew there was an ulterior motive. He'll take control and destroy me, hurt me, and that will be it.

But Wade, bloodied and panting from battle, urged Logan to just let him do it. That Erik had given them no reason to not trust him, and Logan trusted Wade most, so he reluctantly agreed.

And it became a thing. A really useful thing, actually, and after every battle Magneto and Logan would look at each other, chests heaving and something powerful glimmering in their eyes with understanding. Wade would have been jealous if he wasn't always on the receiving end of Logans "affections", his way of relaxing after a good fight, to come down from the high of a victory.

For genuinely probably the first time since Wade and Logan had come around, Wade leaned over the counter in the kitchen in a pair of Wolverine boxers and an oversized flannel (courtesy of his honey badger) while munching groggily on a piece of toast, Magneto spoke to him.

"Mister Wilson, I- Oh. Please, put some clothes on." Wade looked down at himself with a bare, arched brow, then back at Magneto who just shook his head.

"Anyway," he drawled slowly, eyes averted from Wades body. "I want to... Thank you, for bringing Logan back to us. For being here with him. Having not only one, but two, nearly immortal-"

"I'm gonna stop you right there, tall, dark and intense. Don't you dare thank us for being your weapons, especially not Logan." Magneto shut his mouth, and Wade stood up straight, discarding his toast to the napkin he'd been using as a plate.

"He isn't your weapon. You better not even dare think of him that way, because no matter how much I want to climb inside of you," Erik made a disgusted face. "I won't hesistate to kill you for using him. We're here for him, not for me, not for you, or any of these losers.

"I know he needed this. To be an X-Man again, because it's what he knows. He's good at helping people, at killing, being a fucking animal. He deserves to have this, to let loose, and a team that loves him, but that's what this is- a team. Not 'let's throw Logan like a six point dart at our target and be done with him.' He feels a lot of guilt from his world that he just can't let go of. If you want to thank anyone, thank him, because it really was hell to get him here and I know it's taking a toll on that gorgeous head of his more and more everyday that he has to be around the people he feels he abandonded and got killed."

Wade left it at that with a sickingly sweet kiss to Eriks cheek, toast long forgotten on the counter as he left to find Logan, suddenly needing to hold his princess in his arms and tell him that everything would be alright.

Magneto stood in silence, stunned, took in every word Wade had said and flipped it over again and again in his brain, trying to make sense of it all, and when he finally did he nodded to himself with a new type of vigor.

He'd thank Logan, later. And Wade too, for real this time. Maybe he had been a tad insensitive, and if Logan noticed he hadn't said anything. Maybe Wade was just observant. Yes, they were school classmates and Geddy seemed to be the one with more money and gear, so they always asked him to lend them the amplifier and stuff, there were Alex Lifeson (guitar), John Rutsey (drums) and Jeff Jones (voice and bass).

There was a book with their history at one of the main sites dedicated to Rush. I don't remember quite well where, but this is what I remember from what I read several years ago. Eventually, Jeff, due to his difficulties in going to practice at Alex house, suggested Geddy as frontman. Geddy could write lyrics too, so it was better to have him in the band. They afterwards incorporated Lindy Young at keyboards and Ray Daniels as manager.

Ray influenced the boys telling Geddy wasn't suitable for the band and he was kicked out and replaced by Joe Perna.

Geddy started a blues band and sometimes he even helped Rush with lyrics... Chapter 6: Realizations

yesterday, i came to a realization. the feelings i had for y/n back in college never truly went away. i didnt admit to y/n's mom that she was right that i still liked y/n, but in my head i knew she was right.

she's why i finally broke up with lexie. i knew she treated me like shit and still stayed with her, but y/n being there to comfort me just made me want to end things. i wanted my attention to just be on her after all the shit i did to her while we were living in different states.

that's why i'm so jealous of her and tee. i wanted to be in the spot he was in; i wanted to be taking her on dates, i wanted her to watch me at practice, and hang out with the other girls because she was with me.

now that i've excepted the fact that i still have feelings for her, i need to come up with a plan. this time im not gonna chicken out, im gonna confess to her what i've wanted to tell her for a very long time.

the first step in that direction is actually talking to her, because i haven't been doing that the past couple of days.

that's the first text i sent to y/n. i've been an unreasonable jerk to her the past couple days so i'd be surprised if she answered

the next ten minutes seem to go on forever. i sat on my bed just staring at the ceiling and waiting for a knock on the door or a ring from the doorbell.

i picked up my phone to see that had been 11 minutes, and i lost hope until there was a knock on the door followed by the doorbell.

i practically sprinted down the stairs, through the living room, and up to the door.

i took a deep breath before i opened the door, she had a pissed off look on her face.

she sat down on the couch, i followed and sat a couple feet away from her.

it was silent for a few moments, i was trying to collect my thoughts and perfect my apology. when i was ready i cleared my throat, causing y/n to look at me.

she scoffed at my apology, and that's when i realized this was going to be a lot harder than i thought.

"why'd you do that?" - you

"i- i was just kind of annoyed that you were going on a date with one of my teammates." - joe

"what's so wrong with me going on a date with your teammate? wouldn't you rather i like someone you know rather than someone you don't?" - you

"it's just that if it didn't work out between you too i don't want it to be awkward at practice and at games. it's my job, and i can't have stuff like that messing with it." - joe

"that's not a good excuse. i'm confused because you call me your best friend but you don't want me to be happy." - you

"i do want you to be happy-" - joe

"no you don't!" - you raised your voice

"don't yell at me." - joe

"i can do whatever the hell i want! including going on dates with your teammates!" - you

after what tee told me last night, i couldn't sleep.

i tossed and turned, replaying his words in my head over and over again.

the fact that you still have feelings for joe.

after losing hours of sleep i came to a realization.

tee was right. i still liked joe, i don’t think i ever really stopped.

but of course now that the very rare occasion that joe and i are both single is happening.. we’re fighting.

it’s honestly my fault, instead of excepting joes apology i accused him of him not wanting me to be happy and shoved his toxic past relationship in his face. not the ideal way to drop hints to your life long best friend that you have feelings for him.

“sweetheart.. you okay?” - your mom knocked on your bedroom door

it was now a few hours since my incident with joe, and i was feeling increasingly guilty. this was probably the third time my mom had come up here to check on me, one of the times being to tell me dinner was done but i didn’t leave my bed.

“no mom, i’m not okay” - you sniffled

“can i come in?” - your mom

“yeah..” - you

when my mom walked in to see me sprawled out on my bed with my face covered up with a blanket she sighed and let out a “oh honey” before sitting on the edge of my bed.

“wanna talk about it?” - your mom

“joe wasn’t exactly happy about my date with tee. so much so that he had been ignoring my calls and texts, and ignoring tee at practice.” - you

i get what they were trying to with bronte and the actress did a great job portraying it even if the writing was gen z written by a silent gen writer

my problem was she was over here saying imho and fairy smut out loud and pretentious uppity joe who hates the idea of even facebook was like 🥰😘😍😘🥰😍😍🥰🥰 which felt strange and out of character. also oh my god we get it she’s young she doesn’t have to spell out abbreviations for us to get that.

Okay Final Mania thoughts per match:

Gunter vs Jey It was okay! I like Jey, and Im not a fan of Gunter (sorry fndnd) so Im glad Jey has the title. I really wish he would have crashed out, I was hoping for a bit of brutality after his promo.

New Day vs War Raiders felt a little weak imo. Like it was fun but not Mania fun.... Felt like filler in a night that really didnt need filler.

Jade vs Naomi I will never be tired of heel Naomi, I live for this. Solid match, but feel like it could have been better.

Jacob Fatu vs LA Knight was good! Happy with a Fatu win even though I love LA Knight, looking forward to the storyline with that, and hes just fun to watch wrestle so looking forward to his defense matches!

Gabel v Ray Fenix i wasnt even going to dignify with a response but that wouldnt be fair to Ray Fenix who did an Amazing job. Im not opposed to the Chad Gabel pretending to be a luchador gimmick, but the execution feels in poor taste. Ive also just never liked Chad Gabel so im biased in the situation fncnc

Tiffy vs Charlotte I liked a lot and im sO glad Tiffany retained. Im not really sure where the Kayfabe ends with those two so I was kinda convinced they were for real trying to kill eachother lmao

Main Event was Definitely the best match of the night, I was hype the whole time and the ending had me speechless. That is the sort of energy I was expecting from Mania!

Night One final thoughts; a bit underwhelming. Fun matches that I enjoyed watching but only Seth Punk and Roman had the HYPE I was expecting from the Superbowl of Wrasslin.

Rhea vs Bianca vs Iyo was FANTASTIC. Hype from the Very beginning. I am a major Iyo fan so I am happy she retained but I would have been happy with any of them, and they all put on an excellent show!

Drew vs Damien was always gonna be an instant hit with me considering I love them both dearly but Drew was the reason I started watching wrestling in the first place so I was very pleased with the match. Plus his twitter post was Very funny lmao Damiens entrance was SO cool too

Finn vs Penta vs Dom vs Bronn was an absolute Joy to watch and even tho I saw the Dom betrayal arc coming it was still oh so satisfying. Veeeery exciting to see how this plays out tomorrow on Raw!

Do I need to say anything about Randy vs Joe Hendry? That was just extremely fun and you could tell they were both having a blast. Filler? Maybe. But atleast it was fun filler!

Logan Paul vs AJ Styles. No im not happy about a Logan win. But I DO love the Karrion Kross curse. I knew as soon as I saw him offer those knux to AJ that it was over. Cena vs Rhodes was, as many have pointed out, the most underwhelming show of the night. Which... Sucks. I dont mind Cena winning. I think its good for the story. It shows that Cody isnt invincible, and it gives Cena the send off he deserves. But it was extremely fast, not much really happened?? Travis Scott :/. Not even a Rock appearance??? I feel like a dog who just ran after a ball that was thrown only to find out it was a feint but now im all the way out in the field. Just disappointing, I think both Cody and Cena deserved better.

Night two final thoughts: clearly the superior of the two, most matches were exciting and kept me engaged. We had some great belt switch ups and it makes me very excited for this weeks Raw and Smackdown!!
