#and i didn't even go into any of the awesome other stuff in the episode that i've probably talked about before anyway... :P

Can you give examples of Aang showing Empathy? Oh wait, you can't.
Actually, I can - because unlike you, I base my opinion of the characters on the actual stuff that happened in the story, not the bad faith takes dumb people on the internet come up with.
Zuko literally only survived past book 1 because Aang was the ONLY person amongst the heroes that gave a single fuck about his well-being. Aang offered to be FRIENDS with him as early as episode 13, even though this dude is trying to kidnap him.
In the first damn episode we see him realize and try to remedy Katara's struggle with no longer being able to act like a kid and have fun. He wants to travel with her so SHE gets to learn waterbending. He willingly lets Zuko take him into his ship because he understood that a conflict could lead to the people of the water tribe getting hurt or killed.
In Warriors of Kyoshi he apologizes to Katara for letting all the praise and admiration go to this head. He makes sure to put out the fires Zuko and his crew started in Suki's village.
He tries to help remedy the Hei-Bai situation, even though he is unsure of himself and even scared, because he knows he is the only one that has any chance of helping - and the thing that allows him to connect with Hei-Bai is the fact that he is ALSO upset about the destruction the Fire Nation has caused AND hopeful that the world would eventually heal.
He thinks Jet is awesome because he wants to help people that are being oppressed by the Fire Nation - and then is horrified when he finds out his intension is to "free" them by killing everyone
He wants to help the two rival groups not only safely cross the Great Divide, but also stop hating each other.
He confesses that he hid the map to Hakoda because Bato, Katara and Sokka are showing how much they appreciate and trust him and he feels unworthy of it after what he did because he knows it'd hurt him if the roles were reversed.
He is so devastated by the fact that he ACCIDENTALLY hurt Katara that he swears to never firebend again. He is also able to recognize the same principle behind his mistake in Zhao's fighting style, allowing him to win the battle against the bastard.
He accepts the fact that the Northern Air Temple is now occupied by people who not only don't belong to his culture but also don't understand it and unknowingly destroyed something sacred to him (and that one of them had been forced to make weapons for the Fire Nation) because these people have nowhere else to go and he doesn't want them to suffer.
He is furious at Pakku for refusing to teach Katara waterbending, because he knows how much it'd mean to her and how unfair it is that she can't learn it just because of her gender.
He is so devastated by the death of the Moon Spirit that the Ocean Spirit latches onto him to avenge it and save the day - and the leve of destruction it causes haunts Aang, even though the violence was against his enemies. And still, he tries to go into the Avatar state again because people are dying and he can't accept that.
After the fall of Omashu, he wants to rescue Bumi, not because he needs a teacher, but because they're friends.
He felt empathy for Toph when she was explaining to her parents how lonely and unappriacted their over-protection made her feel.
He and Katara both feel bad for snapping at Toph during "The Chase" and wanted to apologize for not understanding that being part of a group was a radical change to her, even though she had refused to even try. He also didn't have a problem with fighting alongside Zuko and Iroh against Azula, AND he looked concerned when Iroh was injured.
After Katara comments on the fact he called Toph Sifu but not her, he calls her Sifu while bowing, to show that he respects her both as his master and friend.
The hopelessness and downright depression he was feeling after Appa was stolen only starts healing because he saw a couple being happy with their newborn baby - the same couple he decided to help cross the Serpent's Pass, even though he and his friends had just been allowed to take a much safer route to Ba Sing Se.
His understanding and sympathy towards Jet, even after everything the guy did, was so strong that it freed him from literal brainwashing.
He doesn't want to push his love for Katara aside to gain power because he cares about her too much - and then does it anyway because, even though not making her his main focus 24/7 offers the risk of her being hurt, him neglecting his mission guarantees she'll get hurt.
He is devastated to learn that the world thinks he is dead because he knows he was everyone's last hope - and yet in the end he still accepts the burden of failure because he understood that, at that moment, everyone would be safer if no one else knew he was still alive.
He goes to a Fire Nation school and bonds with the kids, wanting to give them a taste of freedom and joy, as well as trying to understand what the war is like from their perspective. The same episode also has him pull Katara for a dance because he noticed she was feeling left out.
The boy felt empathy for, and understood the mistakes of, both Ruko and Sozin. SOZIN. Aang could see the humanity in the monster that is responsible for him losing his entire culture and everyone he loved.
When Zuko spoke about wanting to control his impulses so he wouldn't accidentally hurt anyone, Aang explicitly connected with that struggle and saw them being teacher and student as fate, and Zuko agreed because that's how deep their connection was.
Aang is not happy about Katara wanting to murder a man, but he still lets her take Appa on her mission and is not disapproving when she ultimately spares the guy but does not forgive him and makes it clear she never will.
He feels empathy for freaking Ozai, to the point that refuses to kill the guy - even as he has the balls to say that Aang's family, his people, deserved to die. He spared that guy - but only after he had a way to do that without it meaning the death of more innocents. Aang, the pacifist, was going to turn his back on everything he believed in just to avoid more human suffering.
So yeah, miss me with your bullshit and don't come back until your brain is developed enough to understand a cartoon aimed at kindergarterners.

Things you can comment on the fanfics you love when you have no idea what to say
From what takes less time to what takes more
~show those writers your love, please!! They do it for free T-T and they deserve better
1. Emojis
You know the vibe of the fic you're reading, chose the ones that suit it better.
❤❤❤
💔💔💔
🙈🔥🔥
You may think this is kind of stupid, but trust me, it is NOT for the writer. It shows you've read until the end of the chapter and that you liked it so much that you decided to say it publicly. Your presence means A LOT.
Also, leaving kudos or votes takes literally just 1 second, what are you doing NOT doing that?? 🤨🤨🤨
2. Simple phrases
I loved it so much!!
Can't wait for the next chapter!!
This was just so good 😍
Amazing as always, keep it up!! 🙌🏼
Writing is a lonely work if you think about it. When I'm in a writer's block, just one sentence can hype me up for the rest of the day and give me the spirit I need 💪🏽
3. The emotions you felt
Yes, you DO matter. That fanfic author cares more about your opinion than your stupid ex so you better write to them instead 🧐
The plotwist was so unexpected, I'm shocked 😱
You can't end with that cliffhanger, how am I supposed to wait another week??
Excuse me, I will now lock into my room and cry all night, thank you 💔
I've read some people saying they won't comment how they felt because they feel ashamed or shy. Take it as if you were about to post a tweet or comment on a friend IG's story 👍🏻
4. One piece of dialogue/prose that really amazed you
Oof 🔥 this happened to me a few weeks ago and that comment still lives in my mind rent free. There's no better way to compliment a writer's work than to highlight something they wrote that left a true impression on you.
And it literally takes no time:
[Insert piece of dialogue], oh she didn't just say that, imma throw hands 🤬🤬
[Insert piece of a description], I could really see it with my own eyes, loved how you described it!
5. Hopes and wishes for future chapters
C'mon, you're going to comment this anyway with some of your fandom mutuals or friends, why don't let the writer know that too?? COPY AND PASTE IT ✍✍
I just need Chatacter A and Chatacter B to kiss, how long is it gonna take?? 😩
Watching that scene in [Canon series name] would have been awesome!! Maybe in future seasons 👀👀
I hope [Ship Name] don't break up in the next chapter, they are so cute 😭
6. Character discussion
Okay, we're entering deeper waters here.
But the truth is: if you love that fanfic that much is because the characters really resonated with you. So express your first thoughts without any fear:
[Chatacter Name] is so important to me, like you have no idea. All the things they went through... But they still manage to be a better person ❤
[Chatacter Name] was so forgotten in [Movie/Series Name], I'm glad they're getting the development they deserved here!
7. Scene discussion
Again, you might think the comment section is no place to start "fangirling" over the stuff you liked. But IT IS!! And the writer wants to know your thoughts on their work, especially if your opinion is all positive 💞
This will take more time, sure. But if you're going to write it anyways for other people, COPY AND PASTE AGAIN, hon!
8. How this story is impacting your fan life (or even personal life)
You don't need to overshare, but simple comments like:
Your fic has really changed the way I think about [Character Name]'s decisions, I feel like I can understand them better now.
This story has motivated me to rewatch all the episodes again 😢 the nostalgia!!!
What you did with [Character's situation] was incredible! I've been there myself and I could have not explain it better 😔
... They will be the ones the writer will remember the most, I can assure you that.
9. A simple THANK YOU
At the end of the day, fanfic and fanart creators only have your feedback to rely on when the block or discouragement hits... This is about showing appreciation to someone you may not know at all, but that has brighten your day with their creations and efforts ❤

TAGS: @seasonal-depression-of-punk
Enjoy!
——————————————————————————
The entirety of the wrestling roster were more than familiar with and accepting of age regression due to how open The Judgement Day were about Dominick's age regression; however this didn't stop y/n from keeping their regression a secret from everybody. They had gone as far as trying to avoid The Judgement Day while they were caring for a small Dominick as y/n found themself slipping into a regressed state whenever they were around other regressed people and their caregivers. This is why when y/n felt themself slowly slip into a regressed state they wanted nothing more than to go home for the evening so they could do so without any fear of being seen.
After a successful episode of Monday Night Raw a handful of wrestlers decided to go out for a drink to celebrate, y/n couldn't think of a worse situation for themself right now; they were exhausted, they were anxious and going to loud, packed bar wasn't going to help them at all.
'Hey y/n a few of us are going out to celebrate, do you want to come with us?' Phil's voice echoing through y/n's dressing room, pulling them from their thoughts. Y/n forced a smile to paint their features, Phil always made sure to involve y/n in everyone's plans as he knew they tended to go unnoticed due to their quiet, self-reserved nature. 'I think I'll give this one a miss Phil, I'm not really feeling up to it' y/n softly replied to which Phil jokingly rolled his eyes; 'come on y/n' he began, 'It'll help to take your mind off of things and plus, it won't be the same without you' he softly pleaded. Despite the anxiety slowly filling y/n as well as the difficulty to not fall into a regressed state slowly becoming greater y/n couldn't bring themself to disappoint Phil so, after letting out a subtle sigh, y/n replied; 'alright Phil, I'll come out, just for a while though ok?' Phil's eyes practically lit up, completely unable to hide his excitement; 'awesome!' he exclaimed, 'we'll see you there.'
Once y/n arrived at the bar their eyes tiredly scanned the building until their eyes landed on Phil, Drew, Becky and Seth who simultaneously waved to y/n, signalling for them to come over to the area of bar which they were sat at; 'Y/N!' Drew shouted, his voice laced with intoxication 'you made it', wrapped in Seth's arms, Becky reiterated what Drew was trying to relay; 'we're really glad you're here y/n.' Before y/n could reply, Phil playfully patted the empty seat next to him signalling for them to take a seat next to him, to which they agreed, instantly feeling at ease from Phil's presence alone.
Around half an hour had passed and it was becoming increasingly more difficult for y/n to stay focused on their surroundings despite the grounding feeling they got from Phil's presence; they couldn't take it anymore, it was so loud, every decibel of sound infiltrating y/n's body, attacking their senses. As their head began to pound, y/n silently and abruptly shot up from their seat and rushed outside to their car, haphazardly pulling the door open, crawling onto the back seat and locking the door. Y/n wanted nothing more than to go home, they wanted nothing more than to have all of their comfort items so they could comfortably regress but instead they were stuck in the back of their car, completely overwhelmed. As their stress and desire to go home grew y/n found themself unable to stop themself from finally slipping into little space, inadvertently meaning that they were officially stuck in their car as operating a car whilst not only overwhelmed but also in a regressed state was definitely not a good idea.
Y/n did the only thing they could in their situation; they curled up on the backseat of their car and allowed tears to cloud their vision. Suddenly y/n was pulled back into reality by a gentle yet prominent knock on the car window, as their eyes shot up they met with the concerned and unwavering eyes of Phil who motioned for y/n to roll the car window down so he could speak to them. Y/n was reluctant to roll the window down, secretly hoping if they didn’t do so then it’d mean Phil never caught them in the state they were in, however they couldn’t bring themself to ignore Phil, he had a look of concern in his eyes which was impossible to ignore. Once the window was rolled down Phil leaned into the car so that he could speak to y/n without raising his voice, sure that speaking loudly right now would distress y/n. Softly he requested; ‘can I come in sweetheart?’ Sweetheart? Phil had never uttered such a name to y/n, surely he was just trying to provide comfort and right now comfort was all a little y/n needed right now.
With a subtle nod y/n unlocked the car door allowing Phil to climb in, once he was seated, y/n couldn’t contain themself, they instinctively crawled over to Phil, laying their head on his lap. As y/n lay down Phil took his calloused hand and began gently running it through y/n’s hair before softly speaking; ‘can you tell me what’s gotten you so upset sweetheart?’ Mumbling into his lap, hiccuping from the tears still pouring from their eyes y/n replied; ‘want home.’ Phil lightly chucked, ‘well there’s a very simple solution, you can go home, there’s no need to cry is there?’ He said in a tone which he intended to be playful but came across as mean-spirited, causing y/n to cry further. Realising his tone, Phil spoke once more; ‘shh y/n I’m sorry, why aren’t you going home hmm? Is everything ok?’
Y/n froze for a moment, slowly realising that the secret they were so desperate to keep from everyone was moments from coming out. Phil, growing anxious himself from y/n’s change in demeanour, gently rubbed circles into y/n’s shoulder with his thumb, silently encouraging y/n to speak. Further burying their face into Phil’s lap in order to muffle their words, y/n muttered out ‘I'm like Dom’ secretly hoping that Phil wouldn't hear them. 'I can't hear you sweetheart' Phil spoke out to which y/n repeated themself at the same register. Warmly smiling down at the person on his lap, unable to find their shy nature anything short of amusing, Phil took his large hands and placed them on y/n's shoulders, pulling them into an upright position. 'I can't understand you when you're hiding that face of yours y/n' he lightly chuckled, 'can you repeat yourself one more time?' After a moment of thought filled silence y/n let out an anxious sigh and repeated themself for a final time; 'I'm like Dom' they said lowering their head.
Phil admittedly wasn't the smartest man but once y/n uttered those words he instantly understood what was going on; 'and do you have somebody to look after you like Dom does?' Phil asked anxiously, the thought of y/n not having a caregiver to keep an eye on them while regressed worried Phil more than he'd ever like to admit. Y/n quickly shook their head, they had been without a caregiver for as long as they can remember, pulling them into a sympathetic embrace Phil planted a soft kiss on the top of their head before suggesting something tempting to y/n. 'How about we get you home hmm? What kind of a guy would I be if I didn't make sure you were all looked after?' Y/n giggled softly and nodded at the prospect of having a caregiver, and Phil of all people? They couldn't help but feel excitement well in their chest.
With that, Phil climbed into the front of the car, sure to keep a hand spare to drape around to the back of the car for y/n to hold onto for comfort. Once they had arrived home y/n retrieved all of their comfort items before joining Phil on the sofa. Tomorrow they would discuss Phil becoming a more permanent member of y/n's life, possibly becoming their caregiver but right now all y/n needed was to feel safe so they could finally sleep and out the stress of the day behind them.

Jimmy Legacy SMP thoughts
This has been in my drafts for months but it's presentable enough, I might as well post it now lol. Woe Jimmy suffering upon ye. Gem is particularly involved this time
Jimmy is wearing a bee onesie daww
Jimmy is doing very well and has 0 deaths for awhile whilst many others have already racked up one or few or. ten. He's proud of himself and swears to keep it that way, but Gem placed bamboo around his base which accidentally killed Jimmy when he logged in on top of bamboo? He lost all his stuff and Gem felt bad so she gave him some things, but he proclaims that that's not enough and that Gem's going to get his full wrath (Also Gem doesn't really feel that bad lol she will keep teasing Jimmy with bamboo. Especially in an... incident....). Next time they talk though Jimmy's asking her for a favor and praising her and calling her one of his greatest friends. He asks Gem to rebuild his base and is VERY happy with the result, even as Gem slyly incorporated bamboo in there. Jimmy even offers to pay her even more for her work but Gem refuses (thank you Gem) (Also Jimmy quickly racks up 15 deaths anyway, way more than anyone else)
Jimmy gets the starting village bell and then hides it in one of the houses, putting up a sign allowing people to come in and "see the surprise" if they pay him one diamond. The bell pretty much immediately gets stolen and Jimmy starts interrogating people. He builds this interrogation room with a huge table to make the suspects feel small, and also gives himself a fancy chair whilst the suspects get a stone slab to sit on. He interrogates Sausage, Scott and Pearl, but somehow the situation gets turned around and they're all aware of where the bell is (Pearl claims she didn't though. Shrugs) and start giving Jimmy clues to find it. When he does and starts heading home, they kill him. Awesome. And then someone steals the bell again. In Jimmy's pursuit he accidentally freed a villager from one of the villager houses and then his base was encased in a dirt box as a punishment
Gem at some point helps Jimmy build a bit again, and when Jimmy's far away from his base and desperate for specific logs, Gem says she'll bring him some for a handshake, +1 respect, and a hug. Gem also a few episodes later leaves him a shulker box full of goods with a sign "thank you for being such a good friend". The Elytra in in though IS named "chicken wings" but Jimmy doesn't take any offense to it
Jimmy has been promising to get back at Gem for awhile now, but debates being the bigger person and instead just leaving her a cake in thanks for her gift. But then he sees his player head, reminded of how Gem killed him, and immediately decides against it. He puts bamboo all over Gem's base and Gem basically says she'll get back at him and she's no longer his babysitter or something
Jimmy is now on 22 deaths, "over half of those deaths are from other people killing me. I've died, I reckon, about 6 times on stream from other people just shooting me. Before you say I bring it upon myself, I haven't. Any of the times, I haven't, I promise."
Gem and Jimmy go in the nether together to get wither skulls and then later kill the Wither together, which is cute... There is one part that I'd comment on more but I CANNOT figure out if Gem is saying "you're pathetic" or "we're pathetic" in response to Jimmy explaining that they've gotten very unlucky with wither skull drops, and now I can't say anything because my thoughts would severely differ depending on which it is...!! Gem also says "Being on call with you is a good workout for the smile muscles" (Also for what it's worth, Gem dies to the Wither and not Jimmy)
He and Gem do a coin flip on who gets the Wither loot, and Gem wins, although she voices uncertainty "this is cruel" and Jimmy insists "I've made my bed, now I sleep in it" (he brought up the coinflip idea). When Gem's running off, Jimmy, under his breath goes "I really dislike her" ??
Jimmy finds and tames 3 skeleton horses, and wants to give one to Gem, and names that one "Gem smells". Meanwhile Gem names one of his skeleton horses "Jimmy is the best". She later renames another one to "Meatball" because apparently she wants to start nicknaming him that in retaliation for the "Gem smells" horse.
There's this prank war between fWhip and Jimmy regarding his chicken shop (Jimmy builds a fried chicken shop on higher ground behind fWhips' shop to get more attention, fWhip buils a wall in front of it so no one would see it, Jimmy makes it airborne, fWhip smites it down into a burning mess on the ground) and I just want to point this out as an example of Jimmy being pranked and laughed at in a very "good sport" sense. it's fun. I wish there was more of this rather than just jokes made at Jimmy's expense with no further nuance
Jimmy started a raid on a village to try and get the Hero achievement, but died. Pearl came to save his items and to help him out though <3. And then as they were fighting together Jimmy accidentally killed her </3
Jimmy starts building a "mob head room" which he wants to be a secret from everyone. One episode later. ONE episode later. It gets completely vandalized with a bunch of honey comb blocks, campfires and his own head. And I know I've said this a few times before but I swear to god it sounds like Jimmy is about to cry it really does. My poor son. He's all better like 20 seconds later though
Jimmy and Gem had a bet at the start of the SMP which Gem won so Jimmy after a long time finally built her a little shrine cave room and Gem loved it... She kind of ran away though when Jimmy explained needing her head to complete the armor stand of her. He'd later put in a quest for someone else to do it for a bounty, lol
Jimmy and Gem choose to joust. Gem wins, Jimmy doesn't get even one hit on her. The punishment is that Gem gets to edit Jimmy's skin and he will have to wear the edited version for a week. So what does Gem do? Gives him a pacifier and shoves bamboo up his ass. Gem.. Gem....... Gem I love you but I really want to strangle you right now why did you do this. She's so sweet and encouraging beforehand too which just makes it hit that much worse. (Jimmy flies over to her for the skin, lands, and goes "did you like my landing?" which makes me extra emotional because. canary Jimmy learning to fly... And Gem is very nice to him). She does also give him her flower crown, antlers included, but, mghghhh the pacifier...???? Let it be a reminder that Jimmy gets infantilized in canon in many instances. I am not the problem,,,, And then they go and show it off to Pearl who goes "what"
Vile. Vile it is
Episode 17 starts with Jimmy mourning. That he has to keep wearing the skin for a little while longer. But he checks in with his bounty and an anonymous person did follow through and left him a Gem head. Jimmy expresses gratitude that that actually worked and that he wasn't just pranked again. But then he goes to his Gem shrine to but the Gem head on the armor stand and finds that someone already placed a trading villager head on it
"People were killing me on Saturday. How many deaths am I on? 38. Fantastic. I love myself."
The base Gem built for Jimmy is, to no one's surprise, incredibly cool inside and out. She even included a secret room that Jimmy finds has been filled with chickens.
Jimmy after seeing Gem's base: "bro that build has made me feel really bad about everything I'm doing on this server now. Should I even be here?" but then he does also take it as motivation to work on his own fantasy base that he's been neglecting. And he's doing great! He logs in next episode to find Arch actively fleeing from an udder he built on top of one of Jimmy's towers, dripping with milk... But this is something he also did to Sausage so good for him
He meets up with Sausage to let him know that it's Arch who's been doing this, but he forgot to take off his pacifier skin and Sausage goes "take that off, I can't look you in the face!" and I have never agreed with him more. He and Sausage plan out a prank against Arch and then go enact it together. Wow Jausage content that is actually bearable to me...!!
Jimmy rebuilds the glorious dirt block, adds levels and protruding corners to it and ends up really liking it. "I actually really like it. Oh no, I like one of my builds..!?". he's very fond of the entrance too
"Dude, when did I get good at building things?"
If you know me you know that I think Jimmy IS a good builder and has been for a long time and. look, look at this interior he did all by himself
Tell me this isn't hella cute and cozy. He's proud of it too <3
Episode 20, the dreaded, dreaded, dreaded quiz. I had trouble sitting through this video awhile back but here we go. Gem and Sausage know that Jimmy is bad at Minecraft trivia and decide to do a gameshow type of thing and they invite Jimmy to do a quiz. They're confident he's gonna lose and will have to die as a punishment, IF he does well, he gets to live. No prize though, lmao. Only if he gets the the questions 100% correct, he will get a prize, which, is obviously not going to happen. They lure Jimmy into a tent, tell him to stand on a specific block, inform him that there's going to be spectators, and then activate a lever to make him fall into the actual gameshow room where they join him and promptly force him into a glass stage. Then Sausage goes "wait, shouldn't he take his clothes off first?" which makes sense. He should get rid of his loot so it doesn't potentially burn in lava. But um eugh anyway. He does get privacy as he undresses lol
He gets some questions right, some wrong. Sausage asks him an easy question because "I give you nice things, cause I like you Jim!". Jimmy gets enough questions wrong to be on the brink of death, turns to Sausage for the last question and Sausage goes "Alright, you know what, I will give you a soft-ball question. Okay, this is another one, because I want you to win, I want you to survive this, I don't want you to die, I don't want you to burn in lava, I don't want to have to laugh at you." Can you see why I'm having a wildly hard time sitting through this. Jimmy gets the answer right and starts proclaiming that he's won and he's free. Sausage is all "wow!! How'd he do it!!"
And then they douse him in lava anyway and he dies. I'm so glad Sausage is definitely not manipulative or a liar
I'd like to comment on his cubito body language too throughout all this. Jimmy is very fidgety and lowkey his prolonged cowering, prey animal stance makes me hurt. But at some point he goes "You see me hopping around in here? I'm confident!" as he jumps back and forth in his tiny cage briefly. Gem also comments "You're sweating, oh my gosh"
I will say, Sausage and Gem both later decorate the interior of one of his bases for free, so that was nice of them. But I will not forgive them jesus christ
Jimmy lost the footage for it, but apparently Gem took him on a scavenger hunt and gave him some nice gifts and some not so nice gifts
Since the beginning of the series, Jimmy has had a quest to find Sausage's lost pickaxe, which he does make an effort to do so but ultimately fails. Episode 21 now, and Sausage has gotten it back himself and demanding a refund. Jimmy asks how he even got the pick back and Sausage is all "Oh you don't know what I went through for this pickaxe, it should have been you who went through that!" - "No, it's your pickaxe! Why do I need to do it?" "Jimmy I had to do another quiz show! I'm the one who got burned this time, I know how it feels now!" - "You do know how it feels, you're the one who burned me alive.". Killing Sosig with my own bare hands
Jimmy is trying to weasel himself out of this, trying to convince Sausage to let him mark the case as "solved" (as if he solved it, and not Sausage) but Sausage doesn't want to let him which IS fair. Jimmy briefly suffocates Sausage in some pistons which was awesome. Ultimately Sausage agrees to let him mark the case as solved, meaning Jimmy has a perfect track record, although he makes a bunch of jabs at Jimmy in doing so and Jimmy does refund him. Just kidding, he exits the Clue corp, Sausage follows, Jimmy sees a skeleton, runs back inside, blocks Sausage out as he gets shot and tells him to stay out there and that they're done
Episode 23 is the last one, no fanfare, no finale stuff. He never gets to finish his megabase, I don't think he was even halfway done with it, and that makes me sad because I'd love to see a megabase from Jimmy of all people, the way it was coming along, it looked really cool, but alas
There is one last noteworthy interaction though, between him and Arch. He asked Arch to build him a sorter for whatever he asked in return. Arch did so but he also pranks Jimmy with it, showering him in chickens. It's very hearty though, Jimmy says it's the best prank that's been done on him and Arch says that that can be the payment, he doesn't ask for anything more. Thank you Arch, that was nice of you, even if Jimmy did inadvertently call it embarrassing. It was still a nice interaction to cap this off

As I mentioned last week, I was going to do an anniversary post for episode 5 and 6 of "Hazbin Hotel" airing, so here you go! ^_^ This is when we officially got introduced to Lucifer and many of us instantly related to his "Take that, depression!" line. ;) I thought it was adorable though seeing him be sweet with KeeKee as well as briefly go dad-mode on Razzle and Dazzle. ;) XD Lucifer and Alastor's rivalry cracked me up and I can't wait to see it continue in Season 2. ;) XD We also got treated to some amazing songs in these two episodes like "Hell's Greatest Dad," "More Than Anything" and "You Didn't Know;" I know I listen to the first one at least once a week. ;) Yikes though to seeing Alastor remind us all how beneath his charming persona, he's still a manipulative, scary and violent Sinner who refuses to be seen as weak. O_O
Getting to see Lucifer and Charlie's relationship start to heal after years of barely seeing or even talking with each other melted my heart, and I'm so glad Lucifer is going to do what he can to support his daughter now so he's not like the angels before him that crushed his ideas. <3<3<3
The club scene had me mainly distracted by Sir Pentious being adorable and trying to get with Cherri, but Angel Dust standing up to Valentino was awesome! ^_^<3<3<3 I'm also glad Niffty got some of Valentino's neck fluff as a bit of retribution, and he better watch out so that she doesn't come for more. O_O ;) It was nice to see Husk look out for Angel Dust too and for Angel in turn to look out for Niffty when she got drunk. ^_^<3<3<3
I'm excited to explore more of Heaven in Season 2, even though I'm with Vaggie here that the place seems really bright and I know seeing Heaven benefit from humans being given free will so they could be able to have ideas and discover stuff leaves a bad taste in my mouth. :/ Also, I know most of us already assume Vaggie was an ex-exorcist, but to see how she was viscerally maimed and left behind for showing mercy was intense. O_O Meeting Emily was delightful in my opinion too and for sure Charlie is going to need all the allies she can get with Sera, Adam, Lute, and any others that think the Extermination is justifiable/necessary despite the hypocrisy it means for Heaven to allow it. :/ Her joining Charlie at the end of "You Didn't Know" was great and the court (but especially Sera) needed to hear it, even if Sera still refused to really hear them out about redemption. Adam was definitely being a petty asshole though for revealing Vaggie's secret like this. >:(
I'll do the anniversary post for episodes 7 and 8 next week, so stay tuned as Alastor would say. ;)

okay fuck it i wasn’t going to post this but i'm having a moment.
i know we kind of know nothing at this point. a lot of filming has been away from the public eye since there are actors who haven’t been seen on set that we know for sure are in the show. plus anything we have seen is out of context. so really any assumptions would be jumping the gun a little bit, which means this is my disclaimer that i hope i'm completely wrong about what i'm saying and look very stupid later but.
it’s looking more and more like this show completely fumbled foggy nelson and kirsten mcduffie and just gave their roles to karen? which is crazy because as much as i love the OG show they already did that to ben urich (which they were criticized for by comic fans) and then of course there are the many debates about elektra among various sections of fandom. but repeating the ben mistake with foggy while also doing it 20x worse to a character that's even worse to do it to and then just giving kirsten NOTHING to work with is fucking crazy.
and as someone who also ships k*redevil, thought they had a real chance at something after s3, always imagined they would've been together in canon by the end of the OG 5 seasons they originally wanted, and wants them to be endgame (because sadly and unfortunately, neither show was ever going to make foggy and matt happen lol), this is so insanely off-putting to me, to the point that it may start putting me off things i previously liked if that’s what they did come next year when s2 comes out.
the way karen was originally ignored by this new show is wild and stupid, but i really don’t think the reverse should be happening like this or that karen should be getting literally everything now, all at the expense of the entire rest of the comic book cast, particularly dd’s most important longest running supporting character foggy and arguably matt’s best comic book love interest kirsten (she's SO much more than that too obviously, but like.. the new show isn't letting her be those things either?)
karen has been dead in the comics for a long time. i've always thought her show version should survive and that they shouldn’t kill her, and i stand by that, and i was impressed and glad when they subverted it in s3. but they could’ve kept karen alive and kept her a main character and gave her all the importance she deserves and even had a k*redevil endgame without it being done like this.
there's absolutely a world where they respect foggy's place and importance in matt's life and keep him included and alive, kirsten is treated as the badass she is and gets to do all kinds of law stuff with matt and foggy (and be a supportive friend, if they didn't want to do love interest, because they could still honor the spirit of their relationship), and karen still gets to be everything that was already awesome about her in the OG show.
the writing for this show (yes, even in the new episodes by the new team) is not good enough to justify the decisions being made or the disrespect to almost literally every character.
if you want to diverge from the comics, you don’t solve the issue of karen not being alive anymore by just deleting everyone else's relevancy and replacing every other character that exists with her so you can prop her up. she doesn't even need that, the character the OG show created in her was already awesome. you create new stories and show what having her around would’ve added. you bring back older stories she was in and recontextualize them. you respect the other characters that matter instead of taking things away.
you definitely DON'T antagonize and dismiss and disappoint fans of the source material who care about this stuff just to push your agenda. and this will just turn some fans even more against the ship and the character when they already had a hill to climb with some parts of this fandom. which sucks because i originally hoped that in a world where this show was good that people would change their minds about k*redevil and see it more positively, but now i feel like i can't blame them anymore. in the words of matt (apparently), 'fuck it'.
this new show is literally like a dark twisted mirror version of the series i love, like the ultimate be careful what you wish for, and i’m so sad about it today. wish it just stayed cancelled at this point.
#i really tried not to complain today but#i'm livid over the amount of storylines they've adapted and seem to be adapting where they just removed important foggy stuff#because they'd rather just throw him away and make it about somebody else#and honestly justice for kirsten too and every other comic book character that deserved better#like honorable mention to cole who didn't deserve any of what they did to him lmao

Happy rant about a BFB Four x reader I found
This is also a sort of reply to kittycoffeeheart's post in a fanfiction community where they said something about cliffhangers. Four simps might wanna read this if they are looking for a good x reader fic or two (links and details to the fics below)
A fic that was also greatly written in my opinion had the reader be a human turned object who was physically incapable of telling any of the objects or Four about them being a BFB fan because they'd get really sick and pass out somehow. It was also supposed to be some kind of post-BFB dream the reader was in? It was nice, but it was left on a cliffhanger where conflict between Four and the reader doesn't really get resolved. And the fact that there was no specific reason for the reader getting sick ever mentioned ticked me off so bad. Though the one upside is it's more likely to be updated soon because the last update was in January this year.
(WARNING, THIS GETS REALLY LONG) The one I REALLY wanna talk about though had everything I wanted, like the reader being human and meeting Four in the human world, Four being aware that the reader is a big fan of BFB almost right off the bat, and it was WEEKS before romantic feelings actually got involved, which was awesome for me because I think way too many people put love at first sight in their reader inserts, it's unrealistic, ESPECIALLY for a character like Four. It even had stuff I didn't know I wanted, like Four being the reader's math tutor for some college worksheet. Bonus points for Four being up to the reader's knees in height and reader gets to pick him up often, and the reader getting his autograph. I think the fic captured Four's personality perfectly, and when he had out of character moments down the line, it was addressed either indirectly or verbally by different characters, and not just ignored for convenience.
Also want to add that the writing itself as in the grammar was perfect in my opinion. No script format, no typical "this happened then this happened then that happened and this character did this and this character did that", I don't even remember spotting a single spelling mistake. Unfortunately I can't comment on the presence of epithets because I wasn't paying attention, but I get bothered by them too if they show up in abundance, so if I didn't notice or get annoyed by them in this fic, then they shouldn't be an issue. The reader is gender neutral by the way!
The reader does get to go to the pillary ruins at some point and gets turned into an object, so those who wanted to be an object in the fic don't have to worry, and you get to switch between the human world and the BFDI world. One thing that confused me was when Four introduced the reader to the final fourteen and X as Y/N instead of O/N, I didn't know whether he meant the reader's real name or object name, but I guess it gives the reader the choice of picking either which is nice. I personally stuck with my real name because that's what I'm used to reading Y/N as.
The events of BFB 17 and onward are different, but in a way that makes the reader a relevant character instead of just a bystander with literally no reason to be there other than as Four's crush. Though not much happens after this when it comes to BFB episodes. The reader and Four return to the human world one more time, and this is around the time the reader and Four realize each other's feelings, and while there isn't an emotional kiss scene or some shit like that, they do agree to be romantic partners from that point on, and while there haven't been any new chapters since July 28 2023, that ending was good enough for me, because it didn't end in angst or unspoken feelings. I love angst, but not in the form of a cliffhanger. While I'm still waiting to see if the fic will be updated one day, I wouldn't be surprised to come back and find the fic marked as complete instead of ongoing. I'd be perfectly fine with it.
Link to this fic that I love so much and recently finished my FOURth reread of:
Link to the other fic I mentioned at the beginning of the post:

I'm beginning to realize that my closest fandom friend is... not a good friend, for me.
When they're doing well, they're awesome -the best beta reader, hype man, partner-in-shipping-crime you could wish for. The first year we knew each other, we'd talk every day, some days for hours on end, often getting really personal. I never before had anyone in my life who encouraged my creativity like that; they supported me in learning to draw, wrote pages and pages of concrit on my fics, seemed to genuinely enjoy my work... it was kinda heady. Addictive.
When they're not doing well however, they... disappear. And they have a habit of ghosting people, deleting their account, and creating a wholly new identity in a fresh fandom when they're "good" again. They didn't do it last time they went through a depressive episode... but they did do a big disappearing act for a bit, and the realization of how little our connection meant to them and how easily they could cut me out really... damaged something.
I've tried to let it go. But... their new "happy stuff only" boundaries (never share anything too personal or real -something they insisted on post-latest depressive episode), their habit of disappearing for days (even weeks) on end with no word (leaving me worried AF for their health), the fact that I clearly care more about them than they care about me... it's like salt in a wound.
And yet, I feel like I can't cut them out -their "good self" is the best friend I've ever had in my life. I just... feel incredibly disposable, and like receiving that amazing friendship and support depends on me having no needs, no sorrows, and existing at their convenience only.
I don't really know what to do.
Sorry for the giant text block T_T (Thank you for having open asks)
--
Drop them.
I think you're wrong about them not caring as much as you do. The pattern they're displaying is someone whose life is spiraling out of control, not someone who just doesn't care.
However, people who have a ghosting problem do not get better.
Not without multiple years of offline stuff changing and probably some hard work on their part that has nothing to do with you and that you cannot affect in any way.
You will not go back to the honeymoon period even if they decide you can talk about non-happy things again, and more to the point, they're going to ghost you again and again and again.
The way to make that stop is to stop being in contact with them.

anyway stuff i really liked about the WL finale and WL as a whole, because I genuinely don't think I'll ever talk about it again in a fandom-y way:
(spoilers, obvs)
whatever the fuck ren was doing. i. i still don't know what treebarks deal is, I feel like god intended me to be a martyn guy and something got fucked up along the way and now I'm really scared of him in an animalistic sense. i feel like in another life i would've had a lot to say like a lot alot to say oh my god.
whatever the fuck scott was doing. so many moments from this episode that gave me the "neuron activated!" reaction image response with him and pearl. majormoon kiss didn't happen but like that would've been somehow less intimate than whatever this is. the murder camel sequence especially (where they hunted down GEM?) gave me that same feeling as when I watch smth like utena and spot visual parallels. this is insane but i can't find the screenshots like that one scene from utena where she's standing in the doorway kanae did in an earlier scene to signify that she acts as her replacement it's like that.
speaking of scott i do think he underwent a bit of character development and that makes me happy. he's absolutely still like. insane but i appreciate him making an effort to be nice to Pearl. the bar is on the floor. i love that one of the first things he says is "oh my god I can't believe we stuck together even though EVERYONE (grits teeth) thought we were gonna betray eachother <3 <3" the copium is so
pearl. oh pearl. it really does feel like pearl out of the entire cast got her "plans" most sidetracked but she still got in some good hits near the end. her reaction to gems death oh my god. her calling murder camel in SL a "fond memory". it feels like her character really never achieves any closure at all and that's the one thing that i think is REALLY awesome genuinely. so many of the deaths had me squinting at my screen going "that's it????" but it feels fitting for her, especially in this season.
JOEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! joel not only got the win he deserved but he also got revenge on scott which is amazing and incredible. i wish it happened in a season i was more on board with but for what it is it is really awesome to see. his pop off pvp battle at the end is the highlight of the episode for me, big last life flashbacks.
team BET/tuff guys were the one team i enjoyed from start to end, there's something magical to me about the way they NEED to involve eachother in everything and make bits around eachother specifically like idk you can really tell these three enjoyed themselves and that's all i really want at the end of the day (and i feel like that really saved them from what a lot of the other teams fell into with not really interacting). the fact that they all died next to eachother placement-wise and tango finally got his revenge on bdubs COMPLETELY ON ACCIDENT is amazing. tango in general has been a massive stand out to me this season with his antics, I'm so not kidding when I say extended exposure to redstone does something to these guys. really amazing 10/10 team, welcome back BEST etc etc i can't wait to watch more of them on hermitcraft.

Fangs of Fortune (ep. 18 - ep. 20)
I've just noticed the truly abnormal amount of crying all the characters do in this show (like, it's so pretty I'm not complaining, but poor actor babies, I can't imagine the amount of work and emotional turmoil that went into acting all this out for us to enjoy). God bless them pretty people who cry so beautifully - this is truly an art form!
As Zhuo Yichen wisely mentioned in ep.20 "the sea of suffering is endless" - I think it's an actual motto of this show. Like, how many characters can you make suffer in the course of one episode? Quick answer - many, and then some more.
First and foremost - we lost Li Lun! I didn't expect he'd go so early in the series (checks episode count), well, okay, not too early, but I kind of expected him to torment Zhu Yan till the very end. He was such a poor and bitter meow-meow I can't even hate him despite whatever wrongs he has done. Deeply hurt, wounded, lost, and 'betrayed' by his probably only friend. Never even tried to understand his point of view, just went on hurting and hating and plotting his revenge to hurt Zhu Yan the same way he hurt him, and probably even more.
Whatever happened to them was fate (well, at least at this point in the series), but then he chose to follow the path of pain and suffering. Judging by how toxic his revenge has gotten in the end, he must have really loved Zhu Yan. And the irony of Li Lun joining forces with the very people who caught and tortured demons back then, when he and Zhu Yan parted ways. I mean it was kind of narrow-minded of Li Lun to just ditch his only friend so fast. And condemning the whole of humanity just because a few people are bad apples, well, is the same as condemning all demons because some of them are violent. But still, there are those who aren't. What an epic saga of grief and misunderstanding D:
At this point, Zhu Yan must be the saddest Great Demon in the history of Great Demons. I mean come on, how many more deaths and sufferings can he take? (nope, don't answer that, there are still 14 episodes left, I'm sure the show will surprise me more than once XD). I mean, when speaking about being unfortunate, he has had it the worst in the series (he was just 'lucky' to survive long enough to get some happy days and encounters mixed in there as well). But with a countdown of 1 month hanging over his head, I have a feeling things won't be all sunshine and roses for him (again, and again, and again, ah).
"You don't have a heart, but aren't you living in agony, too?" Spot on, Yichen-baby, spot on. I think Zhu Yan's heart might just be bigger than most human's.
Also, how come Zhuo Yichen has gotten even prettier? I love his new look with hair tied up in a bun, official robes and all. He has also matured. The way he was talking about Zhao Yuanzhou merely being the blade of that malicious force and that he shouldn't be punished for what it did through him - my thoughts exactly! The screenwriters conveyed this message so well and I'm happy that the characters also realize this inside the show (still, I have a bad feeling about how things will end for him).
Bai Jiu being a 'traitor' was a fresh take! Cool plot twist. But this is how this Chongwu camp operates - finds people's soft spots and uses either threats or bribes to make them do bad stuff for them. Luckily, no one got hurt (well, uh, not yet). And Pei Sijing has been working with Zhu Yan all this time, yay))) I never wanted to believe that she was an actual traitor, the girl is too cool (and they have a cute thing going on with Wen Xiao, hehe).
Also, I've noticed how in the course of the last few episodes both Zhu Yan and Zhuo Yichen acknowledged each other's, how should I put it, awesomeness? Zhu Yan calling the other guy a dignified gentleman with a righteous heart, unbreakable will, and a character as strong as gold, and Zhuo Yichen admitting that Zhu Yan was a compassionate and righteous demon and that he didn't want to kill him any longer :3 A little bit of honey to balance out the bitterness, ah.
#Fangs of fortune#this show has a truly Shakespearean level of dramatization#thank god for those bits of comedy they add from time to time#li lun you sad sad little demon#I will miss this poor little meow meow#tragic from start till end#also Zhu Yan looks pretty with silver hair :3#zhu yan#zhao yuanzhou#zhuo yichen#li lun#wen xiao#cdrama#cdrama review#fof#hou minghao#neo hou#tian jiarui

What did you think of kataras character arc if you exclude all the shipping wars?
Did you like it
I think it's pretty good, and I like her character a lot. I'd say she was the best written female character, and one of the best written characters in general, and that's despite her not being my favorite on either category.
There were a few issues/inconsistencies, namely her going from not being as good as Aang at waterbending then suddenly she's a master, or her stealing from the pirates yet getting on Toph's case for "cheating a cheater", but overall I'd say the show handled her well.
I like that they allowed her to be one the kindest characters, yet don't shy away from making her assertive, proud, strong-willed, stubborn and even mean sometimes (because children be like that) and that is so satisfying to watch, especially compared to bullshit like the Netflix version that is fucking TERRIFIED of giving the characters any flaws, to the point of stripping them of any agency or emotion.
Even her being both a fighter AND a healer ties into that duality. If you mess with her, you're fucked. But if you're nice to her, she'll be nice to you. And if you're in trouble, even if you're are a stranger, she'll help you because she can't wrap her head around the notion of just letting an innocent suffer. And as a bonus she commits ecoterrorism and helps deliver babies. Girly can do anything! How could anyone NOT love her?
We see her compassion ties in with her morals and convictions in MANY episodes (Imprisoned, Jet, The Avatar State, Crossroads of Destiny, The Painted Lady, The Puppet Master, The Southern Raiders, etc) as a result it feels like we really KNOW Katara, to the point that it's super easy for me to forget that she's a character because she's just that believable. I don't see a list of traits or just necessary actions that move the plot forward, I just see Katara being Katara, reacting to and influencing the world around around her.
As for her arc, like I said, I do think it was strange how she went from struggling to do some basic stuff to being able to hold her on in a fight against Pakku so fast, but once the show settled on "This girl be strong as fuck" they made damn sure we didn't forget it and they were smart to tie that in with her being a super inspirational figure (and to also have continue to learn new things even after being considered fit to be the Avatar's official teacher, so it made that incosistency a bit less distracting).
Pakku calls her master and Aang calls her sifu, we see her doing lots of cool moves in fights, and she's powerful enough that Hama's bloodbending doesn't work on her, she literally held up the rain and parted the seas and, oh yeah, she brought the Avatar back to life. No fucking wonder the messiah of this story took one look at her, fell in love immediately, and said the SHE gives HIM hope. It IS pretty difficult to give into despair when you're friend is that awesome, and goddamn, it'd be hard not to simp.
I also love that the show lets her be smart with HOW she uses her powers. Even in the second episode, when she's struggling with her bending and accidentally freezes Sokka instead of their enemies, she's smart enough to think "I just have to do the exact same motion, but to the other direction", she can work with her mistakes. She uses her waterbending to lift up a piece of the floor to defend herself from Mai's knives. She even uses her own sweat as a source of water before meeting Hama and being made to think of "Oh yeah, nearly EVERYTHING has water." Her last battle move in the show even was a mirror to her struggling to freeze her enemies at the start of the series, with her luring Azula to the right spot to freeze them both, unfreeze herself and slowly chain her, showing us how using her powers effortlessly has become second nature to her.
But THE episode that shows us the key role Katara plays in the story is "The Desert." Appa is gone and can't fly them away, Aang is too emotionally distraught by Appa's kidnaping to be of any help, Sokka is high as fuck, Toph can't "see" or use her bending as much because she still struggles to use sand the way she uses Earth, and we know for a fact that Momo doesn't understand a damn thing that's going on. The responsibiliy of keeping everyone together and then getting them out of there fell entirely on her shoulders for that episode, and she handled it like a pro. And at the end, when Aang is going nuts with grief, Katara is the only one not cowering before his power and can bring him back to earth with just one look.
The show could never work without her. The creators even said she's the heart of the story. That's why her voice is the first one we hear in every episode. She introduces the audience to this world and is the one to welcome us back each time. We learn her backstory before we even see Aang, that's how central she is to the plot.
And just like her introduction was handled perfectly, her send off was the same. She is reunited with her dad, who is very proud of her and knows her mom would feel the same way. She has helped save the world, and now she can finally be a kid again. She is free from the war. Free to go home with her family, travel with her friends every now and again for FUN instead of on a mission.
And yes, she's in a relationship now, with the guy she has clearly been in love with for a while. That romance IS one part of her arc and I celebrate it because there's nothing wrong with wanting love. I was cool with it even back when I didn't care for Kataang as a ship and didn't think it'd last - because I already cared about Katara and had seen the literal YEARS of foreshadowing, set up and development for it.
That's why I don't mind it when people ship her with her someone else - but get furious when Zutara shippers claim ALL OF THAT doesn't really count as her being treated with respect, both in universe and by the writers, because she didn't up marrying Zuko and becoming his girlfriend and future wife. Like it was all for nothing unless she kisses an emo boy and/or end up being a ruler, despite never having any interest in ruling anything. Like Katara's character and arc, all that she is, all that she overcame, accomplished and was rewarded with is irrelevant if the romance is not with the "right" guy. ONE part of her arc not being what they would have preferred RUINS her for people COMPLETELY.
And they have the nerve to call themselves "the REAL Katara fans"? What a joke. They can ship whatever they want, but they better put some respect on her name.

605 Pop Con was AWESOME!!!!!

I got to talk with some members of the 501st and learned some great cosplay tips and tricks. I might even join the local legion if I can improve my costume to meet the standards.

I saw lots of cool nerd stuff! Lots of Funko Pops, action figures, and statutes. Look at these Og, Kenner Star Wars toys! I'm not even a collector, but I know how valuable these are! Super cool!

I saw lots of people with super cool cosplays! Here are some people I got pictures with. It was awesome to meet other cosplayers!

Here's some cool art!!!! The Alien one looks so shiny! And Samurai Vader!!!! YEAH!!!! The dragon is so pretty!

I GOT TO MEET MATT WOOD!!!!
He was so nice! In addition to acting, he also does a lot of sound design in movies. I got to talk to him about his work, and he listed like a ton of recent movies he's done sound work for. I can't remember them all, but there were a lot. 😅 He sounds like a busy guy! He did the Greivous and battle droid voices, too! I didn't even ask! He just did it! He seemed to really like interacting with fans.

I also got to meet Sylvester McCoy!!!
He was the sweetest guy! He had some sort of brace on his hand, so I asked what happened. He said it was from signing so many autographs. I couldn't quite tell if he was serious or joking! 😂 I got to hear how he first learned to play the spoons! And I heard later that at the panel he did, he actually played them! Man, that would have been cool to see!

Speaking of panels, I got to go to this one and hear some super cool behind the scenes stories about the making of "Andor"! It was so cool hearing their stories and insight about the show. There are scenes I can't watch now without thinking about what was happening behind the scenes! Especially with the alien granny in season 2 episode 10! 🤣 I'll have to tell that story sometime.
I took a bit of video of the panel, so if you guys are interested, I can totally post that later.
Got to talk to the people who made this R2! They had this one and another purple astromech rolling around. Neither of them had any background in mechanics, they just figured it out as they went along! So to all you fandom nerds out there, you don't need to know what you're doing to start creating! I think back to my first cardboard mandalorian helmet and cringe a little. But it's what got me started! Just do some research and go for it, friends!
If you're still reading this, wow! Thanks for sticking around! May God bless you as you go about your day/night! Never stop creating!

Sooo how we feeling about today's episode? If you want to have my 2 cents, I have a feeling it's gonna be a non Puzzles arc first. Considering we've been having Karen lore explored and like I mentioned it in a post I made, it's interesting, this theme of exploring pasts of characters, probably somewhat meant as soft retconning (like Melony going from possibly not having a family to family issues which would maybe somewhat make sense with the idea that she was actually repressing that which I find very plausible personally) but also I do feel like there might be at least a smidge more of a reason for it. But yeah I feel like we might slowly get a new thing going on with Karen, maybe Marty becoming an antagonist again, also exploring Karen's past more, like an ex-assassin arc or something. It would DEF make an AWESOME movie that would be the first ever that doesn't focus on any of the core crew which is CRAZY. THOUGH this is not to say they aren't allowed to drop other hints for later this year, like with the possibility of Puzzles coming back and perhaps exploring Perfect again and doing a bunch of reprise like stuff, yknow the kinda thing that feels corny but it's the exact kinda corny the channel is. Anyways if I turn out to be right with the ex assassin arc and we actually get a movie like that, focusing on Karen- I have some- SOME hope of like, a whole battle of the bands arc, which I've been thinking about for a bit. Like a mini arc made of like maybe 4-5 episodes with a longer ep special. Especially because they need to release more music, especially w Saikosis stuff like- it's like wasted musical potential to me.
Also I checked and still no change anywhere, even the website which is silly to me. SO- I don't encourage others to do this but very few times when I'd check the website I'd submit shit like "hey guys, why didn't you change this" and "Hey, we see that this website is still up yo" for one because I think it's a little funny but also because they GOTTA KNOW!!! THEY AT LEAST COULD'VE CHANGED IT SO YOU CAN'T SUBMIT STUFF!!!! BUT THEY DIDN'T!!!! IT'S STILL O P E N!!! Sorry, that had been driving me mad for a good bit. Like genuinely WHY is it STILL open??
I LOVED this episode, it was awesome!!! The character development, their backstories! so good
Having a non-Puzzles arc with Karen would be sick as fuck, dude! just having her story unravel more with her husband and the corporation AND we might get to see who was the one to request the hit on Marty! OH and young Karen, can you imagine?! BRING IN THE MUSIC PLEASE! and maybe we can finally move on from the whole flareglow thing
I've also checked the PV website frequently and, having been working with UX/UI before, there's absolutely NO REASON why it's still up. I got a log and everything.
The Team could've done a fun little image that's like "PUZZLE PARK IS UNFORTUNATELY CLOSED" or something like they did for the "That's all, folks" image/gif, but NOPE. Like I said before, these websites cost money, and this being worth a percentage of their budget, they're up to something. Especially considering that this website is one of Mr Puzzles' main connections of him (and the show) to the audience. ....yeah at that point, put me in a straitjacket.
I'm always watching *looks directly at Team but at Cube specifically*
also yes, guys, please DO NOT spam or even enter anything in the WOTFI submission box. Even if we have questions, there are lines we shouldn't cross. Still, we'll be keeping a close eye on this, from a distance ofc.
Thanks for the ask!

Maomao's family is awesome (part 1 : the dads)
I just watched the final episode of the anime.
I loved this conclusion, as well as the series overall. That's why I want to talk about one of my favorite parts of the series. While Maomao herself is a great protagonist, I find that some characters also deserve to be talked about.
Overall, KNH's secondary cast manages to be interesting. Each character is tied to the story's central theme and are quite complex (the tertiary cast is more one-dimensional, but it's expected).
But my favorite part of the cast is Maomao's family in general. They weren't that present in the beginning and their inclusion surprised me a bit. It's a different side of Maomao that I enjoyed seeing explored.
Luomen :

Maomao's relationship with Luomen is so adorable !
It's actually great to see her (openly) care about someone for a change, instead of only poisons and medication. We see her trying to help him get customers (like when Lihaku caught a cold) and distraught to learn he was banned from the palace.
She's very grateful towards him and it's easy to see why. He's patient, understanding and very skilled. I mean, the guy could study abroad, that was considered a rare offer for the most skilled. He taught her everything and thus, it justifies her advanced knowledge.

Overall, Luomen is a sweet man who would surely be very successful if he was more business savy (could he borrow some greed from the Old lady ?). I hope his finantial situation will better itself in the future, maybe by returining in the palace.
More about him in this article I found on the net.
Lakan

Omg, I did NOT expect to like Lakan as much as I did. Initially a very mysterious character, the reader/watcher slowly gets to know more about him. He challenges our main characters in a playful way, hiding his intentions behind a smile.
Seeing how disgusted by him Maomao was, I thought he did some truly morally low act, so I was kinda weary too. But... these last episodes totally changed how I perceive him. I'm SO glad I didn't spoil myself this part of the story.
The best way I could express the difference between my initial impression and the new one is the way he sees people.

I initially thought that him seeing people as go pieces represented his manipulative side, that he saw himself as the chessmaster, playing everyone else as he pleases.
While that isn't completely false, as this talent in chess was closely tied to Lakan became such a good strategist (to him at least), it isn't showcasing any bad intention on his part. He geniuenly struggles to differentiate people's faces, it's a handicap, not an ego thing.
Ironically enough, Lakan seems to be a quite clumsy man at times. He's (almost) unbeatable in go and is very capable of coming up with complicated plans, but falls short on a lot of other things, mostly his personal life and loved ones... kinda like Maomao and her skills as an apothecary.
He even got to get around his handicap thanks to his passion for go, seeing faces as different pieces instead of blurriness. The series could've just gone with the first interpretation : "Lakan is a way better strategist than anyone else, the puppetmaster (or so he thinks)". But it didn't.
The parallels between these two are so interesting that I could make a whole rant about it. Their relationship is, ultimately, a bit tragical : Lakan, contrary to a LOT of fiction fathers, didn't die or just go to buy milk on purpose. He was forced to go. Maomao recognizes he's not that horrible either, but... it's just too late. She can't see him as a father since Luomen is the one who took care of her. A complex story behind a simple explanation.
And his relationship with Fengxian... wow ! That was touching ! I never saw Lakan getting so emotional for anything, really. He seems to sincerely love her. That made him sympathize for him even more.
Edit : got more stuff for Lakan ! I forgot when he helped Maomao to get past the guard !!! The death glare he gave at that time was really intimidating... that guard is fucked, isn't he? Getting both the strategist AND Jinshi upset is not a good thing.
Speaking of Jinshi, this little rivalry between them is, so far, very simple but efficient. Yes, the trope of the dad who hates the boyfriend is cliche, but since Lakan CAN'T take care of Maomao and can't win her love, of course he's jealous of the guy who she lets near her. And he probably also feels protective about her too.
(don't worry, dude, Maomao is not fawning over the local pretty boy 😅. She's way more into poison, sake and bezoar than Jinshi.)
It's fortunate he's not jealous of Luomen, probably because they're related and he knows how good that man is. No danger here.
I'll make a part 2 about Fengxian, the other courtesans at the Verdigris palace and some conclusion later.
Meanwhile, some pictures :

hi! this is a random question that i feel like you might have interesting input on if you're up for it; so i've been introducing a friend to tdp and was struggling with whether to provide backstory, or how much (like how/when sarai died, the situation with rayla's parents, soren's childhood stuff, k'ppar, etc) so i guess i was wondering what pieces of info of that kind you feel like is introduced in the narrative at the point it is for a reason? idk if that makes sense lol sorry, and ik it connects to the specific episodes and is all more impactful the way it does play out, but just curious if you have any additional thoughts on how/when they chose to reveal all those pieces of backstory
Hmm... Honestly I think TDP has a high first watch value, especially the less you go in knowing, in some ways. Like obviously I speculate a ton each season about what may happen and sometimes get pretty close, and the novelizations ended up hinting at a lot more than I necessarily thought they would, but I don't know, I do think the best things in the series are surprises, or delighted confirmations of things I figured would be the case and Got To Me anyway (ie. Sir Sparklepuff being Aaravos' son that he made as a sacrificial lamb).
Like I still came out just when S1 had come out and I don't remember there was a ton of like, people speculating about it online (I didn't) but I remember assuming the 1x01 intro with the humans rushing Thunder was like... Harrow and Viren had taken hundreds of soldiers with them to take Avizandum down, and that Viren was more at fault for what had happened ("thank you for starting this unwinnable war!") especially in regards to the egg. 3x06 completely shifted that mindset in addition to making Harrow much more culpable (and therefore interesting) and like, it was Awesome? And I still remember watching 4x03/4x04 for the first time with the unparalleled joy of "Oh my god, we're going in Exactly the thematic direction (love being complicated / you'll do terrible things in the name for love)" I'd been hoping for for like, the entire hiatus. It was amazing.
Because the only thing higher than the first watch through value of TDP is the rewatch value, honestly, let me tell you (Viren telling Soren "I will do anything to protect the king, I hope you will understand" in 1x03 my beloved beloathed).
So I'd say that unless your friend is like "Huh, are they ever gonna address how the magic system is unfair?" and they've seen S2 but that wasn't evident enough for them, I'd be like "Yeah they will/are, it's just a slowburn." Maybe some acknowledgements that everything in TDP comes back (the Sunfire tribunal setting up Leola & Rayla's trials and Runaan's closing scene with Ez?) even if it's been a while. But other than that, I don't think you really need much if your friend is down to be around for the journey and give things a fair shake.
On a meta level, TDP is absolutely meticulous with how much information is given about what and when, but part of me feels like I gotta wait till we have the Full Story before I can fully understand/contextualize some choices, I suppose. Does it help if I say I think about how so many of the dreams shown in the series wind up being directly yet secretly prophetic every week of my life?

I just binged the whole entirety of Ninjago DR Season 2 B and my god. MY GOD. I swear I can't get a damn break from these shows, Maws broke me and guess what? So did Ninjago! Like oh my sakes this damn season broke me
Spoilers under the cut
Okay. So I just binged the whole part two to season 2 because it's Saturday and I have nothing better to do anyways and I'm regretting bringing it because it broke my heart
The first episode was all nice and stuff and I thought maybe just maybe it was gonna be okay for a while boy was I wrong
So when the invites went out I had to stop for a moment because I was confused because I was pretty damn sure Beatrix wasn't an elemental master and I was right it was her sister that I kinda forgot about until that point
They introduced the annoying uncle I didn't like that man from the get go, so bitchy and for no reason also the Ninja's breaking and entering was kinda hilarious
Also the snail guy?? Hello?? I was so surprised to see him, also the fact he just thought he was just that good with gardening was bewildering but a good change of pace
And then the bot attacks were definitely interesting, at first I thought maybe it was robie I did not trust him at first he was sketchy to me at first but I learned to like him
The whole damn season was just so awesome and I honestly loved the whole thing, Ras getting to arin was kinda expected it was bound to happen also Lloyd making false promises even though he doesn't mean them to be false :(
That boy is still insecure and I wanna just give him a big hug, not just to him but also to Arin, I noticed that while he was doing spinjutzu there were remnant effects of shatter spin which concerns me very much, also the desperation he has to find his parents :( I feel so bad for him tbh
I love that we get to see old characters from past seasons though I am slightly upset we didn't get to see skylor, it would've been great to hear from my girl after the whole merge shit
Also the screen time Jay has is increasing though it is still little, also I hate the way Ras is manipulating him :/
The whole time he gets screen time it hurts me to see, because I swear Jay calling Nya "Lady" WAS IT, I WANTED TO CRY I LITERALLY SCREAMED AT IT BECAUSE IT HURTS BECAUSE THEY LOVED EACH OTHER SO MUCH </33
And the episode started with a flash back with Jay saying something along the lines of "I'll love you forever Any" was cruel.
Also Wu started the damn merge??? Wtf man, I thought you for one was supposed to be the good one out of you and Garmadon like geez man what did you do??
But yea, the season was something
