this is the prologue from a fallen angel jegulus fic I started forever ago and hopeee to come back to and finish soon :) its very special to me

No choice is still a choice. God looks down upon him, the weight of his final ultimatum pressing between them. Once again, the Angel stands defiant before him. “You must make a choice,” God declares, his voice heavy with authority. “Surrender to me wholly and completely. If anything, I’m being generous by offering you the opportunity to decide.” The Angel’s voice is steady, unwavering. “I won’t give up my free will. I won’t choose you, and I won’t choose him. I will remain neutral. This war will bring nothing but devastation. You’re both fools to think otherwise.” “Hmm,” God murmurs, his gaze cold. “Perhaps. But I will not let anyone threaten what I’ve built. All of this,”—he gestures widely, encompassing Heaven itself—“is because of me. You are here because of me, and I can make it so you’re gone just as quickly. So I’ll ask once more: Do you submit your free will to follow me? This choice will allow you to stay in the light, to stand with us in this war. You are one of my highest Angels—your wisdom and knowledge could tip the scales once it truly begins. Stay with us. Pledge your loyalty to me.” The Angel’s thoughts swirl, but every time they settle, they land on the same conclusion. There’s no point in this war. Both sides are fighting for something they will never truly achieve. He stands, brushing dark curls from his face, and reaching his full height. Dark feathered wings unfurling in a slow, graceful motion before lifting his chin and locking his piercing blue gaze with God’s. “I will not give up my free will for you. Not for you or Lucifer, or anyone.” God shakes his head slowly in disappointment. He’s worshiped this man for his entire existence. He’s watched pride and power twist his mind the same way it did Lucifer’s. Still, he does not allow the hurt to show. The Angel takes one final look around, drinking in Heaven for the last time. “Then you will suffer,” God says with finality. There’s a touch to his chest, and suddenly before he truly knows what’s happening- He’s falling.

my mom loves to lie and like she always swears she was NEVER homophobic or anything to me as a child “i even have a gay work friend” but a really funny memory resurfaced recently where i asked if i could use birthday money i had to buy a rainbow flag when i was like ??? 7?? because i LOVED rainbows. and she said no that means something Evil and god will hate you . so what did i do. but ask my grandmom for a rainbow sweater for christmas and proceed to only wear that sweater for three years when it got cold because i didnt like the idea that god hated colors and i wanted to challenge him

Danny Is An Alternate Version Of Ra's Al Ghul And Flash Already Called Dibs On Adopting Him

Danny In All His Sleep Deprived Slightly Scuffed Up From A Fight Glory Is On His Way To Clockworks Tower To Hopefully Get A Nap And Maybe Some Homework Done When A Natural Portal Opens Up In Front Of Him And Proceeds To Unceremoniously Drop Him In The DC Verse Just Outside Of Central City Before Promptly Closing Leaving A Tired Danny Behind In A Run Down Abandoned Parking Lot.

It's Times Like This When Danny Regrets Putting Off Learning How To Make His Own Portals, Cause Now He Is Very Much Stuck For The Foreseeable Future And He Has No Idea Where Or When He Is. Luckily For Him However Central City Isn't Too Far Away, Unlucky For Him However Is That Once In The City He Realizes This Isn't His Dimension. He's Pretty Sure He'd Remember Something Called The Justice League.

So What Do You Do When Supernatural Bullshit Fails You? You Fall Back On Your Mad Scientist Roots And You Make A Portal Gun. So That's Exactly What Danny Plans To Do.

Unfortunately Staying Alive And Building Questionably Safe Portal Technology Requires Money And Supplies, So He Ends Up Wandering From City To City Doing Odd Jobs/Fixing Up Busted Tech For Cash Or Unwanted Electronics For His "Operation: Get Home" Needs. This Obviously Ends In A Few Superhero Encounter Shenanigans.

Though He Always Ends Up Back Near Central City, Both On The Off Chance The Natural Portal Will Open Up Again And Because Out Of All The Superheroes That Apparently Exist In This Universe The Speedsters Are His Favorite (Red Robin Is Solidly His Second Favorite Ever Since The Gotham Vigilante Gave Him A Large Coffee Filled With Enough Caffeine To Kill A Man).

Unbeknownst To Danny However Is That Every Hero/Vigilante He Has Encountered Has Come To At Least One Of The Following Conclusions; 1. Run Away Meta Who Is In Desperate Need Of A Good Meal/Adoption Bait. 2. Possibly Red Robin/Tim Drake Clone 3. A Good Kid But Could Possibly Be A Future Rouge If Left Unsupervised. 4. Did Bats Get A New Kid And Why Is He Here?

All Flash Knows Is That He Saw The Kid First And Therefore Has Dibs. Suck It Bruce.

Fast-forward A Few Months And Danny Gets Hurt During A Rogue Attack While Trying To Help Some Civilians Get To Safety (Old Hero Habits Die Hard (Ha Die Hard) And All That Jazz) And He Nopes Out Once Everyone Is Safe And When The Paramedics Are Busy With Other People Unaware He Left A Blood Sample Behind.

One DNA Test Brought To You By Paranoid Bat Concerns Of A Possible Red Robin Clone Later And They Find Out That Dannys DNA Matches One Ra's Al Ghul.

They Now Think Danny Is An Escaped Ra's Al Ghul Clone.
