#i kept... procrastinating........... sorry to everyone who gave me a character for taking so long....#my art #digital #worm #wormblr #i like.. most of these 👍#ive struggled a lot with my alec design but i think im finally starting to get somewhere with him #that specific emma is from arc 5. her dad mentions taylors moms death and taylor lashes out and emma cant help from smiling #so she leans forward on the desk and covers her mouth #the sleeper.... ok so his whole deal is intentionally vague in canon #because someone told wildbow he doesnt need to explain every single deatail about every cape that shows up #so i was able to do whatever the fuck #basically his power is visually described as a not-rainbow storm thats large enough to cover a good chunk of a large city #out of canon wildbow says the only capes whod be able to survive his storm would need to be indestructible or have an impenetrable mind #so i thought yo. i recently watched a video about a short scifi horror story about how certain fractals make people die from looking at the #and the only person who didnt die from seeing the worst one had trained himself by looking at less dangerous fractals #so.. there the sleeper is ig.. a vague figure in the center of a giant fractal mess #i didn't INTEND for aisha to be looking at alec but no harm no foul. its kinda cute #anyway i spent most the day finishing this and now i think i dont wanna draw digitally ever again?

Please tell me about the government buzzy has to run. I must know what her duties are

oh buzzy's a FUN one. you'd think a town with approximately forty total people in it wouldn't be too hard to deal with, government-wise, but this is treetown we're talking about.

dealing with a town that's essentially the embodiment of murphy's law would be hard enough on it's own, but on top of that, she's the only one doing it! so her duties pretty much amount to Everything.

she has to figure out everything from how to allocate treetown's pathetic amounts of money, to the endless repairs and cleanup that come with bumbling superheros and hair trigger serial killers. she also has to field every concern/complaint/suggestion that the townspeople come to her with, from giggles' 200th environmental petition to yet another call about a building that needs to be rebuilt because it fell down and killed a bunch of people.

she's stretched pretty thin, and time and money are limited resources, so she has to prioritize what she handles. meaning she doesn't always have time to deal with things like a couple of pesky raccoons with sticky fingers, or that sailor guy who she can't seem to find any records of existing.

she'd love to reach out to the neighboring towns for resources, but for some reason that she can't quite make heads or tails of, the phone lines that work just fine IN town never seem to be able to connect to anywhere outside town limits.

here's fhein, she's a half shark girl, barbarian, only 5'3 and she looks really unsettling since shark features don't mix well with human faces but she's got a good heart (kinda)

#keese draws #oc art #oc #ocs #these guys are from the same story as the grape twins btw #root beer is their cousin and one of the four main characters #dragons beard is merlot's boyfriend and fellow antagonist #and lemon taffy is the older sibling of one of the other main characters who spends most of the story 'kidnapped'#and by kidnapped I mean the super villain polycule asked them if they could help them with some tests and they went 👍#important context! lemon taffy (and their two siblings) are the kids of three superheroes and merlot and fox grape are the kids of four #supervillains both of which are mostly absent for the main story (although the supervillains at least get to be more of side characters)#the heroes are off in space dealing with alien political drama that doesn't matter to the main plot #the two groups have a fairly casual rivalry but they still have genuine beef #merlot and fox grape were left home alone after their parents set out to work on some big project and merlot took the chance to go fuck #off and get a boyfriend to do crime with leaving fox grape desperately trying to find them and get them to come back home #and for the other side root beer was roped into helping rescue lemon taffy by their two younger siblings pop rock and jelly bean #he and pop rock are the main duo on that side with jelly bean being their guy in the chair #merlot and dragons beard are mostly antagonists to those three with fox grape and the other main guy cayenne pepper chasing after them #cayenne is dragon beards childhood friend and I have never drawn him before despite adoring him 😔#hes such a piece of shit I love him #in my old original concepts for him he was going to be an incel but then my brain went but what if. aro. and I instantly hard committed #hes a bitchy asshole who's made all the more annoying by the fact that his anxieties are low key completely justified #hes a sad wet cat abandoned in a cardboard box all alone 😔#oh yeah also worth noting that root beer is a vampire who has a strained relationship with his adoptive dads #oh and dragons beard's parents are a dragon and a royal fae so he has a lot of power that he doesnt know how to use lol #lemon taffy is like. sort of part dragon in a very distant way? their grandma was a failed revival of an old god who was a dragon who made #their dad out of her own magic which included that same magic from the dragon god who was basically made of magic #so he was also sort of part dragon but not really? idk its complicated #merlot and fox grape are miraculously not part dragon somehow despite my track record of making too many ppl dragons in this world #they are however vampires and also directly decend from a god so thats fun

A little art/comic announcement: While Knightfall in Dream Land is still in progress and I’m still working on that I’ve also started plotting out the storylines for both the Daroach backstory comic and the Susie redemption arc comic that I want to do.

Before I started drawing Knightfall in Dream Land I did some very simple pencil sketches with dialogue written on them to get an idea for the direction the story of the comic would go in and get an estimate of how long the finished comic would likely be/how many pages it would likely have. That’s the stage I’m at right now with the Daroach comic and Susie comic. I’m planning to start posting actual pages for both of these comics in January 2025, because I want to get a little bit further into Knightfall in Dream Land first before I launch the new comics. The final length may vary a little bit depending on whether or not I decide to add more stuff or change some of the dialogue I’ve plotted out, but when Knightfall in Dream Land is finished I’m estimating that it’ll be around 34-36 pages, so I’d like to maybe get to page 20 or so before I start posting the new comics. Knowing how slowly I update I’ll probably hit page 20 around late December of this year so January is likely when I’ll be launching the new comics.

Like I’ve mentioned before I’m also still very busy with grad school stuff (I’m working very hard to finish up my PhD in the next year and hopefully get a job lined up if I can so I don’t have to live with my parents when I graduate) so comic updates might get even slower than they already are in the coming months. Thank you to everyone who’s been reading the comic even though I update it really slowly, it really means a lot to me to see people enjoying what I’ve created, and I hope you’ll enjoy the new comics too when I eventually start posting them.
