Initial thoughts on QSMP egg cookies (obviously both the system and thoughts will develop over time) (I am somewhere between a crow and a very confused rat, I am biased to certain eggs in certain ways, and I've really been enjoying stuff characters have been up to without the eggs - particularly Phil, but also Pac and Fit dungeon dates - so I was hoping the number of days needed would be reduced so the players could change without eggs to do personal lore or go exploring or building or whatever and the like. I am biased, it's not quite 7am and I was up til gone midnight before I gave up on the streams, disclaimer disclaimed):

Both the concept and the UI are adorable. Especially those happiness bars that's so cute. Can be a bit dark given they're Federation cookies, but it's still very cute.

3 cookies available a day for total of 9 cookies in principle makes it the same as before, buuut if a task is shitty or egg parents are a bit pressed for time they can split it over the week. 9 tasks (presumably) a week is better than 5 a day for 3 days in terms of CCs being able to pace themselves. Especially if there's shit day like the grappling squark day way back.

Cookies can presumably be saved week to week, which is also helpful.

Eggs not needing to be online to do the tasks helpful! Just gotta get online to eat the cookies.

I don't think tasks like "attend an event" or "visit a friend" can work on the new system and that's extremely sad. Maybe it can, but the handing in seems important. Purgatory did have the kills, buuuut going places doesn't have an easy server insides like murder does.

The half points for non-parents is really sad? I actually love babysitting streams and this is going to discourage them so hard. It's also going to cause problems if someone like Fit or Philza or BBH or Foolish ever goes away. Because that's then 6 days to keep each of their eggs alive. 18 cookies.

Limited number of cookies a week is going to cause problems. We know there's an irl meetup at the end of the year. I severely doubt there will be enough people on the server to get 60 cookies (itll be somewhere between 30 and 60, because non-parents only count for half), and I also doubt enough will have been saved up by then. Forcing someone to choose which of the other parents eggs live and die is horrific, and there is no option for them to just spend time grinding the tasks for the other eggs. Also if someone gets sick or something or their computer dies and can't stream? There's not necessarily stuff saved up to help.

Having to save up cookies means no more getting to Friday, seeing egg with no ticks, and grinding Friday-Saturday-Sunday. If you're looking after someone else's egg you now have to start Tuesday, and it's only possible if you don't have your own or you have a backlog. Which nobody does yet. Which sucks because who doesnt love to see a hundred eggies trailing after BBH (or Tazercraft as I recall happened for twitchcon France) while everyone else is at twitchcon?

Tallulah is going to discuss with the other admins her circumstances. So I'll hold speaking about her and Chayanne in terms of future stuff (and I didnt watch to the end of Phil's stream today so I dont know if he gave them the cookies or what, Tallulah did say a placeholder was in place). But also, this was a predictable problem they 100% should have accounted for in advance. Tallulah and Chayanne both having (in practice if not in lore) only one and the same caretaker who streams a limited but precisely known number of days (exactly as many as was required to keep them alive on the old system) should have been accounted for at the point of system creation. I can't see a fix which doesn't either make Phil a massive exception, or force him to put one of his kids up for adoption, and that's unhappy to me. I'm sure theyll think of something, but they should have already thought of it and implimented it before the new system was in place. Tallulah-admmin should have been able to answer Phil's questions about her parental status and how he's going to be able to provide for two eggs.

The above would be less of a problem (still a problem but less of one) without the 0.5 for non-parents rule. But it would still be a problem.

As someone between a crow and a rat, I'm going to be salty. Atm Richas only has Pac, which is fine. But I can see it getting extremely frustrating when Richas has 3 to 5 caretakers over the week all of whom can do his tasks so he can be done in a day and otherwise do fun stuff - and as before his parents can pass him around to work on their stuff - while Philza's back to doing only childcare (I'm sure his lore won't just die to it, but it's going to get pushed aside as are any of the building projects he was considering). Which was always going to happen with eggs back and isn't really a change from before, except that multi-parent eggs can be done in a day. Seeing how full Em's bar was when Phil and his eggs sang by spawn should have been fun, but it just made me feel bitter and I hate that.

Once players run the maths it's going to discourage them from taking time off when they need to, especially the single parents, and I know these are adult professionals with their own lives who can talk to people, but also theyve already proven they're shit at prioritising themselves. The Philza streaming at stupid o'clock in the morning while sick so Chayanne didn't die streams are kinda an excellent example, but also Purgatory (especially Bolas). Like that Philza stream is legendary but is frankly actually horrifying. And the admins know the players pull this shit and /are/ in a position of authority and /do/ have a level of control over not just the players' fun but their livelihoods, and they shouldn't be making it harder.

It's cute, it's adorable, it solves a couple of problems the old system had while introducing massive and predictable new ones. The system doesn't seem to have been thought all the way through or the consequences actually considered which is an oversight not a maliciousness, but much like a buggy or untested video game is much harder to fix after players have gotten their hands on it than before. Much like purgatory whatever they do to fix it is still going to taste bad because the initial release was flawed. Worse, it's going to be massively different reception by different bits of the community, because it's goingto make life a easier for some ccs and harder for others: Fit's only here one more day this week, and is already worried about who can take care of Ramon - he asked Philza who wanted to but can't because he has his own eggs to manage, and I just... that was very unpleasant. Especially with Chayanne writing "we can't let him die" and Philza saying words to the effect of what do you want me to do I don't even know if I can keep both of you alive. Meanwhile Em is already 2/3s done for the week. On Monday. Which in theory means Bagi could look after Ramon, but see the 0.5 and it punishing non-parents for trying to help out!

System makes it significantly easier to keep your kid alive if you're a parent with shared custody (3 parents and you can be done in a day), a little harder for single parents (other people have to work double), and (as currently stands with no super obvious solution) extremely difficult for the single parent with multiple eggs he's the only active parent of.

TBH if a game I was playing added something like this, especially as the player had no idea of the changing rules in advance, I'd fucking leave. It's a massive red flag to me - not of ill intent or a lack of love but of a lack of forethought and such. It'd make a neat special event or whatever, but only if everyone knows and agrees in advance and only if there's not consequences to refusing.

Plot stuff being hidden from players but much like with purgatory players reeeeeally need to be given more mechanical changes info in advance. I would bet if theyd shown these rules to the players in the discord Philza would have gone "what about Tallulah" and Fit would have gone "I've got a trip what about Ramon" and BBH would have gone "hey I've had to semi-regularly solo-parent 5+ eggs because cons and stuff how do I protect them" and this would have been smoothed out. (Maybe a parent can nominate babysitter/s and said babysitter can cash out as many times as they have eggs in their care each day? Idk). But because it got shown to players on screen with these massive holes still there, people (like me) will be salty and it'll never taste good.

Given the choice, he’d rather read one of the hundreds of glowing pieces of fan fiction about him on the internet, the up-to-eleven version of himself with devastating charm and unbelievable physical stamina, but June flat out refuses to read those aloud to him, no matter how much he tries to bribe her.

Once again, PEAK sibling behavior. I’m obsessed.

They were seventeen and eighteen and doomed from the start, both convinced they were the smartest person in any room. Alex has since conceded Nora is 100 percent smarter than him and definitely too smart to have ever dated him.

I need a Nora ASAP please. She’s fantastic. The second line has lived in my brain rent-free since I first read it.

“I think it’s that thing when a vampire creates an army of crazed sex waifs and starts his own ruling body,” he says.

“That sounds right,” Nora says…

“I wish I were a viscount,” June says. “I could have my sex waifs deal with my emails.”

“Are sex waifs good with professional correspondence?” Alex asks.

Nora’s napkin has begun to resemble a bird. “I think it could be an interesting approach. Their emails would be all tragic and wanton.” She tries on a breathless, husky voice. “‘Oh, please, I beg you, take me—take me to lunch to discuss fabric samples, you beast!’”

“Could be weirdly effective,” Alex notes.

“Something is wrong with both of you,” June says gently.

I’m somehow all three of them. I love this exchange SO much.

For a second, all he can think as he stares up at the ceiling while covered in frosting and champagne is that at least Henry’s dance with June won’t be the biggest story to come out of the royal wedding.

I'm 100% sure they're doing that on purpose, they're not that blind to their own writing. just hate that they always leave it there (because honestly, buck and eddie can't be that oblivious. especially with she sees me better than anyone, buck would never say that to his best friend who knows him best)

Oh, they definitely are, those are some conversations that they could totally go back and repurpose if they ever decide to make these two oblivious idiots stop being oblivious idiots, and well, I will always have faith. But the whole I feel like she sees me, you know? Like she really sees me for who I am and what I've been through thing (I am not about to excuse Buck for saying that, it is a shitty thing to tell your best friend, nothing can actually make it okay for him to say that to Eddie of all people, who's been reading him like he's favorite book since the moment they met and I kinda wanna smack him for it) is that I kinda think that Buck needs someone to not think his death was a tragedy and he needs that from someone who doesn't have a baseline of his behavior pre-death. Which makes Natalia perfect for his brand of repression, since death is not scary to her and she didn't know him before, she's not gonna be affected by the fact that he died, so Buck can talk about his death in a controlled environment. Because, like, Buck is not stupid, he sees the way it affected the people who love him, and I feel dying took away his main coping when it came to near death experiences or traumatic events in general, because Buck hadn't almost died in a while, after the warehouse fire on Buck begins, the next situation that almost kills him where he is the focus, is the lightning, and even before that he's very nonchalant about the blood clots, his fear with the truck wasn't dying, it was losing his leg/not being able to work, and the tsunami he was too focused on Chris to care about himself, but now he has no where to divert the focus, he has nothing to allow him to turn around and say "it wasn't that bad" or "that wasn't about me" because it was that bad and it was about him. He did die. And the whole thing with the way they wrote him and his passively suicidal tendencies is not that he's actually trying to die by doing things and not caring if death comes or not, is just that he doesn't think it will matter if it does die, he doesn't think his life matter in the grand scheme of things. But now death is not just some possibility, something that comes with the job, something that could happen, he died, he has feelings about it, it almost broke the people he loves and he doesn't want to look at that, because to look at that he needs to look at everything else that happened to him. Natalia is a shortcut into dealing with death, because it's literally her job to make alive people okay with death, she doesn't know who he was before and he doesn't care about her enough to wonder if his death is hurting her, which allows him to be his bashful, giggly "I'll start by saying I woke up in a world that was both everything and nothing I ever wanted it to be" and make his death a cute little story in a way that would, honestly, make someone who actually cared about him yell (Eddie storming off after bucktalia talk about how awesome it is that he died 2024).

The whole thing that's going on there, in my opinion, is not that she sees him, it is that she's seeing what he wants her to see and that's the appeal. Because Buck is all "I feel like I have to try and be the same old Buck, mostly for the sake of everybody else" when literally NO ONE is asking him to be anything other than himself. If he wanted to scream, cry, break things, shave his head, grow a beard, dye his hair red, get matching tattoos, get a new car, take a month long vacation on the mountains, get a dog, leave the loft, as long as he's not hurting himself, Eddie, Maddie, Bobby, Hen, Chim, they would all be completely on board, as long as it helps him. Buck is the one refusing to talk. Buck is the one refusing to accept this big thing happened. Buck is the one trying to just go back to before. He wants to acknowledge death changed him but he doesn't want to deal with the fact that his death changed other people. Because if he decides to be honest about it with Maddie, Bobby, Eddie, he has to deal with so much more. He has to deal with Daniel, he has to deal with Eddie being shot, he has to deal with every time he feared he lost Bobby, he has to deal with the well, with Maddie being kidnapped by Doug, because if he allows himself to accept that they are allowed their own set of feelings about his death, he has to accept that he is allowed his own set of feelings about what happened to them and then shit gets too real for him.

They would run into each other in some random ass place…let’s say Costco cuz why not

Zoe and Catherine are out shopping because they all live in a motel for the time being and Catherine stole a Costco membership card from some evil person

Catherine went to the vegetable place because she wants everyone to eat healthy

And if you’re wondering what everyone else is doing, go figure that out yourself because I could not care less

Anyways, Catherine is in the vegetable place while Zoe goes to the bread place or something

And BAM 💥

Carts bang into each other and starts the beginning of a new and beautiful romance between two young girls who have yet to find their place in the world (cue Enchanted music here)

They are about to fight each other because, y’know, Jenny is supposedly evil and Zoe’s not

Turns out that Jenny was also living in a trashy motel (more like 3 star hotel but she wears expensive French perfume so I’m pretty sure that’s trashy for her)

Zoe makes fun and teases the hell out of her (inspired by the time she teased Jenny about Murray in Spy School British Invasion)

Jenny gets pissed off and grumbles at her and then disses her about Ben

They continue this snarky banter thing until it turns into something cute and adorable like those from romcoms (e.g. The Bad Guys where the fox and the wolf had wayyyy too much tension for animated animals)

Catherine is still across the entire store and it’s time for Jenny to leave and Zoe gets kinda sad because this had been the most fun she had in a long time

But not to worry because the run into each other (literally) again!

Zoe is at (idk Olive Garden?) with the rest of the team and she excused herself to the restroom because she was surrounded by couples and needed a break

As she is walking in, Jenny walks straight into Zoe (who will deny this fact and say it was Zoe in the future when someone asks about how they got together)

Zoe is basically pressed up against the door with Jenny covering and pinning her down (not on purpose, she’s just trying to gain her balance)

And then they realize their faces are really f-ing close

Their faces get roof, they jump off each other, they stutter, just like in every other romcom

And just like every. Other. Single. Romcom. Someone comes in and ruins the moment

Cue Erica barging into the bathroom because she noticed Jenny and was not happy about it

Y’all can make it seem like she was jealous or not, I don’t really care either way

Blah blah blah, they argue, Jenny tries to explain to Erica it wasn’t what it looks like, basic angst, you feel me?

Jenny promises to leave Zoe alone because she a) doesn’t want to go to jail b) tries to convince herself she’s not totally crushing on the person who she tried to kill

I personally think it’s a total power move to date the girl your ex was obsessing over WHILE dating you

Skip a few months

Zoe couldn’t stop thinking about the way she teased Jenny (btw she called her Jennifer and Jenny absolutely hates it) and the way she reacted to it and snarked back but not in the ‘I hate your guts’ way but more in the ‘I’m absolutely in love with you and would do and give anything for you’ kinda way

Jenny actually loves being called Jennifer, but only by Zoe. She 100% will try to kill you if you call her that

Jenny spends the months trying to do every single things to forget about Zoe but Zoe ruined her and now Jenny can’t even jay walk without thinking about how disappointed Zoe would be with her because Zoe is good and she is not

I feel like Jenny would be the morally grey character that would do anything for the ones they love and would definitely try to be better (this is starting to feel like a Hillpley fic but sapphic and I love it)

The physically bump into each other again (this is their thing btw) on a mission actually

Well, Zoe is on the mission, Jenny just happened to be there

Zoe almost died, probably by strangulation

Jenny knew the bad guys because she worked for them once

The bad guys thought she was a traitor (and she was, to them anyway)

Zoe finds in strange that someone who she thought was evil saved her life

They talk

More of Zoe teasing Jenny mercilessly but this time Jenny just stares at her like she’s the most magnificent, gorgeous, ethereal being in the entire universe

Zoe gets all shy and says something snarky like “take a picture, it’ll last longer” to keep her from embarrassing herself

And Jenny says something like “a picture wouldn’t be able to do you justice”

Zoe just grabs Jenny’s collar and pulls her down to kiss her

Jenny lets go when she finally realizes she needs air to live and if she died she wouldn’t be able to kiss Zoe again

Zoe calls her an idiot and then they drift off into the sunset

Oh! And one more thing…Zoe calls Jenny by her last name and Jenny ‘hates’ that one too if you get my flow

OUAT Thoughts Pt.35--Episodes 6-7

I have watched through S4E7; spoilers DNI. Also, spoiler warning for anyone further behind than I am.

—Rumple and Belle’s relationship is losing some of its appeal for me. He’s lying (which, you know, is about par for the course) and she’s used the dagger to control him. If Rumple really loved her as much as I’m supposed to believe, I think he’d be able to reform—maybe not all at once, but definitely quicker and more legitimately than he has. And Belle obviously doesn’t trust him, which is a huge problem in a serious relationship.

—I do like the backstory Belle’s gotten to explain why she was so eager to be a hero the first time we met her. I love how even if stuff like that isn’t planned in advance, it generally does its job of adding to the story, rather than feeling shoehorned in or out of place.

—Standing next to Anna, Belle looks really short. Maybe that explains the preposterously high heels she wears all the time.

—Belle and her mom had some cute dresses. And Belle had one of those amazing hairstyles where there’s ribbons braided in.

—While I love the use of hairstyles as symbolism in the Frozen movies, particularly with Elsa, I also enjoy seeing her wearing her hair in an updo more often in this show.

—And I’ve gotten to see a dress that looks almost exactly like Elsa’s coronation dress! It’s even prettier in live action! Although, I’d still love to see her and Anna both in some original outfits. The wardrobes of the other characters have been overall pretty great, except for the rare ugly ensemble here and there, and I’d love to see fresh ideas for how to utilize the Arendellian look without leaning so heavily on Frozen’s signature clothes.

—Still hate Kristoff. Even his dynamic with Anna is screwed up. They bicker in the movies, what couple doesn’t, but they have a very loving and supportive relationship, which doesn’t quite come across here. Like I said in another post, Kristoff’s gotten essentially a personality transplant, and it didn’t land well.

—Elsa and Anna are pretty spot-on so far. In the movies, it was generally Elsa who kept secrets, but I actually don’t mind that it’s gone the other way this time. It makes sense for Anna to lie if she thinks she’s protecting Elsa.

—I also like that Anna comes across as someone who’s picked up some skills from the people she hangs out with, but hasn’t mastered all of those skills. She’s not a total noob, but she isn’t as adept at mountain-climbing as Kristoff is, which is logical. She can wield a sword (and teach someone else how to), but I’d frankly be surprised if she could beat someone like Hook at a duel. She’s got a nice sense of balance, which translates to realism.

—It’s neat how they upped the ante with Elsa’s parents, making them more harsh than in Frozen, but also giving her mother a good reason to be so concerned about her powers. It also gives an extra dimension to why Ingrid is so mean to Anna.

—I also like that their mom is ginger.

—Ingrid has exactly the tragic backstory I guessed at the beginning of episode 7, but that doesn’t make it any less effective. Although, she did kill her little sister, so I’m not gonna jump on her bandwagon. Gerda had a legitimate reason for imprisoning Ingrid in the urn. Still, it was an accident, so I also won’t hate Ingrid 100% for it.

—In Episode 7, I’ve got Helga as being Roxy LeBlanc from Army Wives, and Gerda as having been on When Calls The Heart. Pretty decent stuff. It also strikes me how similar Sally Pressman and Andrea Barber look. I would believe them as sisters.

—I get the point this episode is trying to make, but if somebody lashes out with their powers and, I don’t know, hits their father with a streetlamp or murders their sister, the natural response of any sensible person is fear. It’s not such a hideous offense for Snow and Charming to be apprehensive of the turn Emma’s taking.

—I adore that Regina and Robin are being slightly un-noble together. It matches their dynamic, and because Regina isn’t one of the characters whose kindness is central, it doesn’t disappoint me.

—It’s pretty cool of David to take that streetlamp for Hook. I also gotta commend that writers on that one; it could’ve been anyone David pushed aside, but it was Hook. Given their past tensions, I just think that’s nice.

—As you may have deduced by now, I’m feeling much more upbeat about the Frozen stuff. There’s finally additional story details, such as the aunts, and although Elsa hasn’t done much and Anna has vanished, it’s good to see that one of the new characters is the important one. When Elsa and/or Emma (hopefully and) finally get to magic-duel Ingrid, it’s going to be epic. Also, there’s no Kristoff in Storybrooke! YAY!

Secret Admirer AU where Eddie has been crushing on Steve for years now and once Steve began working at Family Video Eddie made sure to let him little notes stuck to the door daily. He knows it is stupid, but Eddie has always been a romantic at heart.

They are usually lyrics, because Eddie is so far gone at this point he's having at least four songs written about Steve and he could do more. They are vague as fuck, so people wouldn't know useless they were close to Eddie that the songs are about a guy (about king Steve Harrington no less-). There are moments where is just cute little messages like 'Hope you have a good day' or 'Your hair looked extra good today. Any date planned?' or 'At this point is pathetic how much I like you. Stop existing'. He sign them with a big E and praise no one would make the connection. Eddie is 100% ready to deny anything if somehow Steve finds out and comes to kill him for flirting with him via notes.

Meanwhile these two idiots kept finding these notes stuck to the door of Family Video everytime they came to work (and they are the ones opening) and think they are for Robin. Steve is without a doubt teasing Robin about it, singing every time they see a note "Robin, is your secret admirer~" which annoys her to no end. He's having too much fun with it (tho Steve lowkey wished the notes would be for him- that someday someone will do something as silly as this for him) while Robin is straight up suffering because she knows it has to be a boy behind it there is a low population of Hawkins Robin can tell you the three girls which names starts with an E and one of them is a teacher there's no way a girl is behind that note.

They don't really try to find out who's behind them, but Steve makes sure to keep them in the backroom of Family Video because he finds them sweet (especially the lyrics).

Then one day Dustin comes by while Steve's teasing Robin about the day's note and the kid asks him what they are doing and Steve's all like "Teasing Robin about her secret admirer~" and Dustin asks to see the notes and and "That's Eddie's handwriting".

And Steve's laughing. Hard. Meanwhile Robin is panicking like "Eddie?! Like, Munson Eddie??? Drug dealer Eddie?? The one you guys play DnD with?!?!?"

"Yeah! I know his writting, it's him! I didn't knew he had a crush on Robin, though.."

And Robin wants to ignore it. Act like she didn't knew. But Dustin has loose lips and, she thinks, Eddie deserve to be rejected to his face. So she puts a note in his locker the next day for them to meet up during lunch. Eddie, of course, is confused once he sees Robin cuz Buckley??? Getting drugs??? But he doesn't get to talk because she starts rambling and he gets even more confused because when?? did he confess to her???? was that a prank? where those idiots saying bullshit about him again?!?

She ends with "... you're just not my type, that's what I'm trying to say"

And Eddie is even more confused and totally forgot that Steve's not the only one working there because he answers with "Well, you're not my type either Buckley. I don't know what made you think otherwise".

It takes a second for Robin to process the information and when she does she's all "Oh" but internally she's SCREAMING of excitement. Meanwhile Eddie gets to the realization that she's working with Steve and all he can think is 'Shit shit shit run run RUN' before he throws her a half-assed excuse and runs.

BnHA Chapter 300: Days of Our Todorokis

Previously on BnHA: Hawks was all “hey Jeanist, wanna go on a road trip with me to my mom’s house?” Jeanist was all “you know it,” and so they hopped into Jeanist’s jercedes and took off. Hawks took a nap and had a flashback to his Dickensian childhood living in a abject poverty with his jerk mom and jerk dad, thinking heroes were make-believe until one day Endeavor arrested his dad and Baby Hawks was all “OH SHIT.” And then he saved a bunch of people, and the HPSC was all “what do we have here,” and blah blah blah, you know the rest. Back in the present, Hawks was all “well my life is currently in shambles, but on the plus side there’s no one bossing me around anymore so that’s pretty cool,” and then decided he was going to talk to Endeavor. Fandom was all “I can’t believe Hawks would side with his childhood hero over the man who burned his wings off and posted a video calling him a violent murderer who took after his abusive dad,” so that was fun and stuff. I can’t wait to see what piping fresh takes this new chapter will bring.

Today on BnHA: Our old friend Carbonation Carl tries to loot a Starbucks and gets his ass kicked by a senior citizen. Society is all “YEAH, WE’RE REALLY STARTING TO GET SICK OF THIS SHIT.” Old Man Samurai is all “this room won’t stop me because I can’t read it” and abruptly decides to retire, which, fun fact, is literally THE LEAST HELPFUL THING ANYONE HAS EVER DONE. Anyway so then a bunch of other punkasses follow suit, and while I won’t say that I’m actually starting to root for Stain to kill some peeps, just for the record I’m not not saying that either. Back in the hospital, Endeavor cries some tears because his life sucks, and then is confronted by his entire family, LED BY QUEEN REI, FIRST OF HER NAME, BACK IN BUSINESS AND LARGE AND IN CHARGE. Rei is all “fuck feeling sorry for yourself, we have a rogue Murder Son on the loose” and I swear to god I have never felt so alive.

so here we go! and just for the record, even though the last two chapters have been phenomenal, I don’t necessarily have any sky-high expectations for chapter 300, mostly because chapters 100 and 200 consisted of Mei Boobs, and Toadette and her horrific quirk lmao. so go ahead Horikoshi, what are you gonna pull out of your hat for this one

Everyone in the Krew is Problematic

I was inspired to go on this rant by someone who recently brought up a question in a server I’m in, asking why so many people in the fandom seem to hate Mako and Makorra and why. This wouldn’t be the first time I defend Mako and it most likely won’t be the last, but it might be the first time I tear him and everyone else in the Krew down in the process, only to bring them back up. Hear me out though.

I think I’ve totally accepted that a lot of people in this fandom will always hate Mako and that I will have to perpetually defend him, I understand that this is the relationship I’ve chosen with this world. But what I still will never understand are the reasons why people hate/dislike him because compared to how much they love other characters in the Krew who honestly aren’t that much better than him (in some cases, even worse!), it doesn’t make any sense.

Let me also preface this by saying, I love these characters with all my heart and soul, probably more than I should love fictional characters, but this is the life I live and with that being said, I am going to tear them apart just to prove a point. Okay, here we go.

MAKO

Most of his detractors list the usual criticisms, which are valid when isolated. He cheated on Asami, he lied to Korra, he was a terrible boyfriend and essentially he treated the women he claimed to love or care about horribly. Gee, it’s almost like the man was a teenager with no experience in having long-lasting, healthy relationships and was raised in the streets by gangmembers while doing anything to survive and provide for his younger sibling after seeing his parents killed right in front of him and suddenly being orphaned…

I think Mako has been torn down enough, so I won’t get too deep into the tearing down part for him. It really does baffle me how someone can claim to be woke and not comprehend how someone coming from poverty could possibly be a product of their environment. Like, does everyone think that poor people automatically have hearts of gold and turn out like Little Orphan Annie? Why are people surprised that when someone has a shitty life, they might do shitty things?

Also, sooo many people love Zuko, who actively tried to cause harm to Aang, Katara and Sokka numerous times, and sympathize with his troubled past. But like, sure Zuko had an abusive father and his mother peaced out of his life for whatever reasons but at least he had his uncle. Mako had his parents for maybe 8 years before they were murdered in front of him and then had...no one for the next 10 years? Except for Bolin, sure, but no other parental figure in his life. Dude literally had to become him and his brother’s own parent and joined a gang to survive, and after all that, the worst he does is acts as a bad boyfriend toward Korra and Asami and he is instantly thrown to the wolves. Something doesn’t add up. It’s just...I don’t get it.

Yes, the way he treated people was bad, but people can grow? That’s a thing humans can do. And he was a teenager, my god. No, we cannot allow our past to be an excuse for how we treat others, but we have to be aware that there is a growth process to being human. And being human in and of itself, isn’t pretty. You think Mako is problematic? Don’t get me started on your fave.

KORRA

Ok, I love this woman to death but she is ridiculously problematic. She pursued someone in a relationship and essentially forced Mako to cheat on Asami by kissing him against his will, that’s already pretty awful and shows a lack of empathy on her part, also kissing people without their consent is no bueno. But also I just have to say it for the people who might not know this. One of the fundamental reasons why Makorra didn’t work was because KORRA WAS ABUSIVE. Okay? It wasn’t just that Mako was inadequate at relationships and didn’t know how to people, it wasn’t that she was secretly confused and wanting Asami the entire time (biphobia at it’s best) one of the main problems in the pairing was that Korra was crazy abusive towards Mako. Seriously, why don’t I see this more often in those discussions??

If we need examples, I have dozens. Honestly, it’s really easy to see how terrible Korra was to Mako, I’d actually argue that she treated him worse than he treated her. I mean, they were both terrible to one another, but in Korra’s case she went through the motions of being completely infatuated with your first teenage crush, getting with said crush, then crashing and burning once you realize that you have no idea how to treat a romantic partner so after the butterflies wear off you subject them to all the wonderful aspects of your anger issues. Not only did she scream at Mako during every argument they had, she also threatened him with bodily harm if she got really angry. Remember how their relationship crashed and burned in Book 2? Here are the things that Korra did during that time. Let me reiterate, this was not okay.

Mako is visibly shaken by this!

This woman burst into her boyfriend’s place of work and violently kicked his desk out from in front of him with all his coworkers present. That is not normal behavior. That is a red flag. And after she came back, had amnesia or whatever and forgot they broke up after that scene, let’s not forget that Mako was legitimately Afraid to break up with her again. Korra made her partner frightened that they might suffer bodily harm if they upset her. Again, and I can’t stress this enough, this is not okay!

The little scene in Book 3 when Korra is lifting Mako like 100 feet off the ground with airbending while he’s screaming in fear just to make Asami laugh is cute, right? I’ll admit, I loved that little moment too, it’s one of the only instances of Korrasami development that we got, but also, there were sooo many things wrong with that scene lol. Not only does Korra terrify Mako for literally no reason, it’s also sort of just her continuing to exercise some degree of power over him for her own amusement. Almost like a subtle reminder to him saying, “I am stronger than you in every way and I can break your femur like a twig if I wanted to… but I won’t, so look how much fun we’re having!”

Now of course, there are reasons why Korra acts like this. She was isolated for almost her entire life and never learned how to treat people and be around people. The Avatar is human because they must live amongst the people they protect and that helps them develop empathy and cherish life. The White Lotus deprived her of that fundamental aspect of her duty as the Avatar and it showed throughout the beginning of the series. Clearly, she was young, didn’t see how her actions could negatively affect others and hurt the feelings of not just her partner but also friends and family (she was really awful towards a lot of people in her life!). But as the series went on, we see her having less outbursts and learning to control her temper more.

One can only assume that she does not have the same behavior with Asami because for one, I don’t think Asami would play that shit, she seems like she would electrocute a bitch in a heartbeat and not hesitate if needed, but also Korra is not the same shitty partner she used to be as a teenager. Again, kids do stupid things. Adults do stupid things. And we learn and we grow. Korra will probably make some more mistakes in her relationship with Asami. I don't think anyone can have one bad relationship and suddenly learn all the lessons they can from it and have a perfect one the next go around. I can totally picture Korra losing her temper and raising her voice at Asami if she gets frustrated and forgets who she’s dealing with. Managing anger issues is hard, I know this from experience, and it doesn’t magically get easier. Of course, if Korra does pop off, Asami would definitely put her in her place because she’s a bad bitch who doesn’t take anyone’s shit, next character.

ASAMI

You know her, you love her, you fantasize about her and you probably have her on your list of fictional characters you would totally bang if you had the chance (I know I do), yes, even your best girl is problematic. It’s interesting to me that a lot of people sympathize with Asami and very few openly criticize her (so few that I’ve never seen anyone say a bad thing about her). What’s there to criticize though? The poor girl was cheated on by Mako, had her feelings disregarded by Korra, who claimed to be her friend but pursued her then-boyfriend behind her back and then made up for it by simping for her for the rest of her life? Also her mom was murdered when she was just 6 years old, her father threatened to kill her once and physically abused her, then died right after they started repairing their relationship, essentially making her an orphan at the ripe age of 22. Suffice it to say, Asami has been through it.

So, how could she be problematic, you ask? Why, of course, through the classic Bryke technique of romance progression in storylines called Kissing People Without Their Consent

To be honest, I did gloss over this with Korra, simply because there were sooo many other issues with that woman and I just couldn’t go through every single one in as much detail but that doesn’t negate how serious this whole sneak attack kissing thing is. Sure, Asami is very emotional and lonely and sort of desperate too, (it's a little sad, really) but Mako is clearly uncomfortable and completely caught off guard by the kiss. This is also the second time this happens to him in the series! There are a couple factors that might contribute to why Asami does this and acts this way, maybe Korra’s general awfulness rubbed off on her (don’t make a dirty joke) but this is still wrong.

AND that’s...pretty much it. Kissing people without their permission is a big no no, though. Not wanting to gloss over that, but Asami really is a good person who just did a not-so-great thing. Getting burned by Mako twice probably made her a little less inclined to be as forward with anyone though, and it looks like she now takes her time and is patient in her relationship with Korra. It even seems like Asami is the only person Korra is afraid to upset, as Korra does seem more gentle and calm when around her. And who knows? Maybe Asami living a life where a majority of the time she got whatever she wanted when she wanted it might have also influenced her to be more assertive or even imposing within her relationships.

If anything, those three fools getting into relationships with each other just showed how not ready they were to be in relationships in the first place and also how not okay they were.

BOLIN

Originally I titled this as “Everyone in the Krew is problematic (except Bolin)” but then I remembered that Bolin totally kissed a woman without her consent so I deleted the shit out of that!

This asshole looks genuinely pleased with himself after essentially assaulting Ginger. Not a good look.

Sure, Bolin is baby. He will always be baby to me. But that does not erase the fact that he also actively supported a fascist dictator. Not only was the kissing without consent thing bad, but there’s also that. No matter how many times people around him warned him about the fact that he was on the wrong side of things, that he was helping someone who was putting people into concentration camps...Bolin wanted to believe the best of Kuvira. He ignored obvious signs that the woman was a dictator committing human rights violations like crazy and you know, there’s gotta be a reason for that too.

Maybe Bolin wanted to feel like he was doing something good for once. When you think about it, with his role as the comic relief in the Krew, and sort of constantly being infantilized by his older brother, I wouldn’t be surprised if the man developed some insecurity in his ability to do anything good or useful for anyone without screwing it up in some way. In Kuvira’s army, it seemed like he was actually taken seriously, he felt like he was doing something that mattered. Korra had being the Avatar, Asami had her business and mindblowing philanthropy (honestly, her ability to be as charitable as she is profitable is insane) and Mako had his police work (ACAB, tho). Bolin had...the role of being a joke. A superficial actor. A former pro-bending meathead.

Bolin lived his entire life following after his brother that once they were adults and Mako finally decided to live his own life for once, it left Bolin completely lost. And lost young men are perfect recruits for fascists.

So, in conclusion, my whole reasoning behind destroying the integrity of my favorite characters is to prove a huge point. All of these characters are problematic. They have flaws, some bigger than others (looking at you, Korra. Just...wow), but ultimately, even if your fave is problematic... that’s okay. A lot of people, mostly younger people it seems, are really obsessed with being right about everything that they do and stan. And that’s a wonderful thing, so much change has come about by the younger generations calling out people who do fucked up shit, don’t want or try to improve, and get away with it. But it’s also caused a lot of people to be unforgiving and completely unwilling to acknowledge when people do improve and try to be better.

Personally, I love my problematic Krew because having issues that you’re constantly working on internally is human. It’s human to make mistakes, it’s human to grow from those mistakes. And it’s inspiring to me, who is wholly imperfect, to see myself reflected in fictional characters who aren’t perpetuating unrealistic ideals of human nature, characters who are messy, crazy and ultimately human.

As one of my favorite manga artists and queen of impeccable character creation Rumiko Takahashi once said:

“I think that perfect people are not very interesting.”

And I will always wholeheartedly agree.

What would he be like when his s/o is in labor, or his reaction to babys first steps or first word. So much fluff!!

Benimaru took the news of your first pregnancy in silence. In a silence so deaf and long that every passing second tightened the hoop around your heart tighter and tighter.

It took you three days to get ready to say it to his face, and yet the stress was still eating you from the inside. His lack of response as you fumbled the ends of your T-shirt in your hands did not make it easier nor better.

You looked up sharply, preferring to face his anger rather than spending another second in uncertainty, and you found that Benimaru was looking over your shoulder, present body, but definitely not mind.

After a few calls and waving in front of his face, Benimaru seemed to wake up and shifted his lost gaze to you.

"We will have a kid?"

"Yes, we will." You repeated, stressing each word, trying to get through to him this time. You expected many things, but not so much confusion.

"A kid." He repeated, and his crimson eyes lit up the glow. "A kid!"

Benimaru cuped your checks and kissed every inch of your face. Lips, checks, temples, forehead, nose, eyelids.

"A kid."

The next person to hear the happy news was Konro, and then the whole city somehow. The residents' mouths did not close for the next 9 months.

Each time he took it better and better. Each time he almost went out of his skin showering you with kisses or dancing around the room with you in his arms. Only this first stage of the shock was shortened.

Pregnancy

Benimaru didn't know at first what a pregnant woman could and couldn't do, so it was best if you didn't do anything. After long interpretations from the midwife, the range of your allowable activities extended beyond sitting and breathing, but there was no question of any use of force.

After a while, you even stopped trying to lift anything above the bowl of rice. Every time Benimaru saw that you were carrying a package, you happened to get the slightest rebuke. It was worse for all Hikeshi within 100 meters for not-helping. After that, you didn't want to trouble the innocent firefighters anymore.

As you can't even look at sake, your evening drinking has turned into making up names over tea. (Not that Shinmon suddenly stopped drinking. He doesn't want to drink in front of you when you couldn't, and after every news of the next baby, the alcohol flows in streams, so he can't complain about abstinence.) He loves holding you in his arms, with one hand for growing belly. Once he felt a kick, he literally melted.

With time, as the family began to grow, it was his duty to make sure that the older children did not tire you and find them to do something.

Childbirth

The first time he had no idea what to do. He literally turned to Konro saying:

"Konro, [Y / N], labor, what do I do ?!" Sould he wreck some buildings?

Konro, as a loving friend aware that there was no time to explain it to him with words, kicked his composite ass to the hospital.

While the whole city was celebrating the birth of another Shinmon, Benimaru was sitting next to you, holding a small bundle in his stiff hands.

"You can hug them, you know?"

"They are too tiny!" he muttered, afraid to raise his voice so as not to wake the sleeping figure.

“They are stronger than you think, Love. They're Shinmon after all, ”you recalled with a chuckle.

Since then, every time the inhabitants of the viewer of Benimaru running to the hospital (have you ever seen Benimaru running? Me neither.), they immediately reach for alcohol.

Begginings

Benimaru has experience and no major problems in taking care of children, especially since they are his. In his time off work, you can see him sitting in front of the Guardhouse, giving his toothless child to chew on his forearms, and sometimes making a tour around the city together, to the joy of all the residents. Other times, he will sit in front of the little one trying to teach him the first words.

"C’mon kid, da-d." Benimaru tried to keep the child's attention who was much more interested in chewing a wooden puppet.

"Daaa ~"

"Close enough, da-d." Some time ago he made a bet with [Y/N] that their first word would be dad, and the rules did not exclude support. "Da-d."

"Maaa ~"

"No, DA-D." He sighed softly and looked up sharply for the approaching steps.

Konro stepped into the yard, gloomy, looking around until he found the Captain.

“Oi Waka, have you seen Hika and Hina? I can’t find them anywhere. "

The red-eyed man shrugged, pointing to the street.

"Maybe they are terrorizing the candy seller again."

Konro sighed heavily and disappeared behind the building, leaving them alone again, and Benimaru returned his attention to the child, already scrambling onto his lap.

"Wanna sleep?" He helped them climb a little higher and leaned in as they held out a small hand at him. He was expecting an awkward slap on the nose, but instead got a tug on his hair almost to the floor. "Ack! What the… "

"Waka ~"

"What?" He froze as he tried to untangle the strands from his impossibly grasping fingers.

“Waka ~” The child repeated, tugging again, and giggled smugly.

Waka? Does it count as a dad? Did he win?

The next achievement was to make sure they didn't repeat all those curses after him, or at least so [Y/N] wouldn't hear.

Beni with big family

You probably expected that just as with twins, the whole Guardhouse will look after them ? Hah, ya wrong.

ENTIRE CITIES WATCH OVER THE MINI MIXES OF BENI-CHAN WITH [Y/N] -CHAN. They are so spoiled that sometimes it feels like only you and Benimaru have any rules. On the other hand, there are no problems with finding your children, just call them by name and half the street will indicate their whereabouts.

• Maybe you can't see it, but Benimaru doesn't know what to do with himself out of happiness. Even when he comes home in the evenings after a really long day, the sight of all those faces looking at him as the center of the world makes him smile. At such moments, he will always find some strength to play.

Okay reader was in levis scouts for some time but after a good amount of time he starts to treat her like shit. Training her harder than others or giving her suppid task. The reader is really mad at this and at simw point she confronts him about the issue and he explain in some way that he actually likes her but was to scared to tell her and he is very sorry. But reader is really hurt by levis actions and just ignores him for some good amount of time. Levi tries to talk to reader and this time they accept the apologize and tell him that they loved him from the start and were just really hurt by it. Levi promise to make it up to reader in some cute way.

(Y/N) was considered to be one of the unlucky cadets among Levi's squad. She had been in his squad for a pretty long time, he hand picked her himself, and it was quite the shocker when she saw him point at her that day. Most scouts dreamed to be apart of Levi's squad.

Unfortunately, she didn't find herself to be lucky as everyone made her seem.

For some reason, Levi treated her different from everyone in his squad. (Y/N) always had to do extra training, or he made her do stupid tasks that were unnecessary for him. She always found herself being more exhausted than everyone else, and most people just thought it was punishment for some reason.

Some nights he'd train her until she'd almost pass out. Her body was always sore, and she didn't understand why everyone else didn't have to go through it. It was only her and nobody else.

She always did admire Levi though. She always found herself being attracted to him, and she wasn't sure why. Thing was, once he started doing all this extra crap, she began to find demise in him. Why her? Was she doing something wrong? Even if she did, she never found a reason for him to do all these extra things.

One time he made her do a really stupid task. He made her clean his office twice, and he gave her no reason as to why. That set her off and her whole mood was killed that day, she always found herself being left with more questions than answers.

At the moment, she was in a meeting with her squad. They were all discussing some plans for an expedition, and Levi wanted to make sure that everyone understood the plan.

"Does everyone understand our goal is to make sure that Jaeger stays alive?" Levi asked and looked around at everyone.

"Yes sir" they replied all at the same time.

He nodded. "Good, you're all dismissed. Except for you (Y/N), you need to stay" he said and looked at her.

She watched as everyone exited the room. "Yes Captain?" she asked.

Levi looked at her. "You need to clean the kitchen tonight, it's a disaster" he replied.

He looked up and raised a brow. "What is that? Don't tell me you messed it up" he said and leaned back.

She rolled her eyes. "Why do you give me stupid shit to do? You train me harder, and it's getting annoying. I do everything you ask, and yet you still treat me this way. Why?" she asked.

Levi noticed her tone, he didn't expect her to sound so upset. "You seriously want to know why?" he asked.

She looked at her Captain. "Yes I do, it would help if I had an answer" she replied and crossed her arms.

"Truth is, I have feelings for you (Y/N). I treat you this way, because I care for you" he said and looked at her.

She was super confused, who treats someone like shit when they like them? She didn't necessarily believe what he was saying to her.

"I don't believe you, who does something like that?" she asked and narrowed her eyes.

Levi nodded. "I'm sorry that I treated you that way. I do care for you and have feelings for you, I just didn't know how to tell you" he replied.

Levi blinked a bit as those words came out of her mouth. She was hurt? Levi didn't want that reaction at all, he does agree that he did treat her fairly poorly, and it's unacceptable. He didn't mean to hurt her.

"Wait (Y/N), it's not what I intended" he said and stood up.

She shook her head. "Just leave me alone" she replied and exited his office.

Levi stood there for awhile. He just hurt the woman he had feelings for. Levi couldn't get the look she had out of his mind, what he did must have messed her up. He felt extremely guilty, and it practically ate him up the whole night.

(Y/N) was really upset about what he did. What kind of person does that shit because they like them? It made her so confused, but she was hurt, because he treated her like some kind of animal. She didn't like the disrespect, and it really hurt. If she did it to someone else it wouldn't be considered okay.

A few days went by, and things hadn't changed. (Y/N) would try her best to avoid Levi, he tried to speak to her a few times, but she always ignored him.

He felt horrible for what he did. He truly liked her, and for something like this to happen? It destroyed him. Maybe he shouldn't have been so hard on her, and instead he should have just explained everything.

Levi decided he was done with her ignoring him, and he just wanted to talk to her about it. Maybe she would listen this time.

He sent someone to fetch her for him. When he heard the knock on the door, he had to be prepared. "Come in" he said.

He sighed. "(Y/N), just let me explain. I'm very sorry that I treated you poorly, I genuinely have feelings for you. I will admit my actions were very rude, and uncalled for, but I truly care for you. If you can find it in your heart to forgive me, it'd be great" he explained.

She stood there trying to process what was happening. She had ignored him practically the whole week, and maybe she needed to be a little more compassionate.

"I was really hurt by what you were doing, but I think I can accept your apology" she said and looked at him.

Levi nodded. "Now... I need to know how you feel about me. I don't want to force you into loving me (Y/N)" he said.

"Levi truth is, I like you too. I've liked you for so long" she said.

He blinked in surprise at her words. "You do? (Y/N) there's no force I hope you-" she cut him off.

"Levi I don't feel like you're forcing me because you're my captain. I genuinely like you" she replied and smiled.

He couldn't believe what he was hearing, he never really though she would like him back after the way he treated her.

denki becomes a dad from adopting a pair of four year old twins (one boy, one girl) that were left homeless and without parents after a villain attack

he kinda knew the parents from hero work and felt it was an obligation to at least make sure their children were okay

he wasn’t planning on necessarily adopting them. he was young and inexperienced with children. how could someone like him raise a kid when he could barely raise himself?

but after two visits to the orphanage and seeing how miserable they looked, he couldn’t leave the building without signing the papers

the transition was awkward. the twins were not only traumatized, but distrusting and scared. they didn’t really know kaminari and now he was suddenly their adoptive parent

kaminari tried everything from ice cream, to late night movie snacks, to hide n seek to get them to relax but it wouldn’t work

he almost gave up hope, and thought maybe it was a better idea to take them back to the orphanage. but that was before the night he woke up to them crawling into his bed, scared from the thunder storm that rumbled on outside

kaminari froze, scared that he’d frighten them away with any sudden movement, but he soon relaxed and hugged them close to his chest when they snuggled into his sides. he sleeps with a peaceful mind that night

although, he’s awoken to them bawling their eyes out over the nightmares they had. he panics but takes comfort in how they still grip to his shirt, face in his chest, seeking his comfort

therapy becomes a regular thing after that

kaminari finds more focus in his life

and as those helpful sessions go on, kaminari finds the twins beginning to open up more and more

they all sleep together now bc cuddle piles always scare the bad dreams away

the boy starts asking for kaminari to help him pick out his outfits

and the girl starts asking him about his quirk

it’s small things like that that lead up to things like this:

they’re in the midst of playing tickle monster when they scream with laughter, “stop! stop, daddy, you caught us!”

the twins stare at him in confusion (and slight worry) when he scoops them up and cries like he broke his leg or something

they got two huge scoops of ice cream that night so they don’t question it

dad jokes are a must

he wears typical dad outfits like hawaiian shirts, cargo shorts, and flip flops

he calls them his “little rockstars” and yes, it’s still embarrassing

kaminari is a playful dad who doesn’t really take things too seriously

his children are always laughing at his dumb jokes and are never afraid to talk to him about anything that crosses their minds

although, they won’t talk to him about love interests bc he likes to play match maker

the last time his daughter told him about some girl she was crushing on, she found out she left her a personally signed chargebolt poster for the girl in her name

kaminari called it a little boost in spirit

her brother found it funny

she was horrified

kaminari swears up and down he’s the cool dad. his kids think otherwise, but their friends LOVE how much of a jokester he is. and he lets them stay up at sleepovers

plus, he’s literally chargebolt

how could they not love him?

denki has a little trouble being serious when he needs to be, but he has good kids so it’s not that much of a problem

there was that one time his son tried to help him during a villain attack. even though kaminari ordered him to get to safety, he didn’t and ended up getting hurt

the twins had never seen their father so angry. it was kind of scary. however, in the next moment, he gathered them up in a big hug and made them swear not to scare him like that again

overall, kaminari is the sweet, fun loving, dad that everyone wishes they had

Bakugo Katsuki:

katsuki became a father the day he found a baby and a note at his doorstep

the note read: “surprise! you’re a dad. i gave you all the legal rights, but you can place her up for adoption if you want.”

least to say, bakugo was pissed

he was even more pissed at himself for getting someone so cold and unloving pregnant

however, he decides to put the baby up for adoption. he cant take care of a baby! he’s at the height of his career. he can basically taste the number one hero spot on his tongue

he’s dead set w the decision, but as he stands outside of the orphanage, he freezes. he just can’t move

bakugo looks down at his daughter as she opens her eyes for the first time. he sees an identical pair of red eyes that make his chest tight with a feeling he hasn’t experienced in a long time

he turns back around and heads back home. it’s easily the best decision he’s ever made in his life

ngl though, growing into the dad role for bakugo was tough

before the girl, he only ever had to think of himself. he was still used to doing everything on his own time and for his own benefit. so being forced to put 100% of his attention to a small helpless human being was not easy

katsuki admits that the first couple of years weren’t his proudest. he was still short tempered, angry with the world, and frustrated bc he felt like his life was ruined

one time, the frustration and sleep deprivation would hit him all at once and he’d just start going off at the baby to just “shut the hell up!” before breaking down and crying with her

it was a dark moment for him, and yet, even after that, his little girl still curled up in his arms to rest when the tears tired her out

it had been a while since he felt unconditional love like that, and so he decided to change for the baby’s sake

you cant tell me that little girl isn’t spoiled rotten

bakugo is a hardass, but he’s all bark no bite. no matter what, he just can’t resist his little girl’s puppy dog eyes

his daughter is a firecracker. she started sassing him as soon as she could gargle

he pretends he hates it but his daughter is lowkey funny asl

they go at it when they fight. bakugo’s learned to be a little more patient, but he still has a bit of a temper and it doesn’t mix well when his mini-me has the same explosive anger

is the kind of dad that says sorry by asking her what she wants for dinner

they totally talk mess about other heroes together. he ignores the fact that she admires deku as long as she keeps it to herself

emotional talks are...awkward, but he forces himself through it

she finds it embarrassing (yet oddly endearing) that he got kicked out of a PTA club meeting for threatening to light up some mom for saying the art program didn’t matter

his daughter absolutely won’t talk to him about potential love interests unless she wants them coming up missing

bakugo won’t admit to watching baby videos of his daughter when he sends her off to U.A. and no, he didn’t cry, he got dust in his eye

doesn’t bother her too much, but jumps for his phone when he hears her ringtone

kirishima says he getting soft, but that’s just his little princess
