The last people he trusted to watch his back or “have his six” were Miller and Eli, and everybody knows how those both went.

Initially it startled him just slightly, having her come up behind him silently, but he quickly grows to love it. It reinforces the notion that she belongs to only him, he protects her and her him, and even after everything she always comes right back to him

His strong girl who comes up to him when he’s out on the balcony in the middle of the night and wraps her arms around him to ground him. She’ll always mumble a “Do you wanna talk about the nightmares” even though she knows the answer. Resting her head against his back just reminding him that she’s here and that he’s safe with her.

It’s been a minute since Ive rewatched the cutscene where Joseph wants to talk to the deputy while she’s in the cages but iirc even he has this moment of hesitation before touching jacob and theyve been reunited for a hot minute at that point.

So like depending on the set up to this, that first time just having him go stiff as a board and being like “who does she think she is, not even Joseph is this casual about physical contact” (answer: she’s his pup thank you!!!!)

Something something it’s easy for him to ignore how touch starved he is until he is in this very specific scenario where someone (specifically his perfect soldier) is offering it willingly to him

something i find interesting about the loot table with the trail ruins rn is like

theres 7 pottery shards to find there so they did a lot with pottery in this culture

the dyes and dyed items dont match up, no candles that are the colors of the loose dyes you find, no brown or green glass panes [colors of the candles], no orange or blue (only light blue) glass panes [from the loose dyes]

theres only oak and spruce hanging signs no matter the biome theyre generated in, im suffering the implications of why theres only those two to find, did they just not use any other wood or are those two the only ones to survive the test of time

considering the smithy that can generate in the ruins and the four (4) smithing tablets its fair to say that these people were masters of the forge, not only having a wealth of different armour trims at hand but also being able to manipulate and dye glass for us to be able to find

unrelated to the loot table but related to my restoration work on the buildings; these people really fucking loved color and clay! other than the roads most of everything is either mud or some clay based material like terracotta or bricks
