If you would’ve asked Hannah 6 months ago that she’d be catching a flight to Germany to see her guy best friend play professional football, shed call you crazy, she’d call you insane for even insinuating that she had a professional footballer as a best friend. 

But there she was boarding the plane with Emilia and Lewis from Birmingham to Dortmund excited to see Jude. 

See a couple months back she went to visit Emilia and Lewis in Birmingham for a nice break away from home, they took her all around the city along with introducing her to all of Lewis’ home friends, one of them being Jude Bellingham who she’d not expect meeting as he was a friend of a friend of Lewis’ and not expected to be home since playing in Germany. But the two met and being the youngest ones in the group became really close really fast. The rest of the group shocked at how connected they had become in the short time they spent together, but alas by the time was done Hannah had to head back up home and Jude had to head back to Dortmund but they swore they'd keep in touch and they kept that promise. 

Thousands of texts, calls, facetimes later they were still close as ever and unbeknownst to the other one, feelings of wanting to be more than friends lingered in their minds. 

Jude had facetimed hannah while she was doing some school work with a surprise for her, tickets to the biggest game of the season for her, Emilia and Lewis, along with flights already booked. She was shocked to say the least and a first couldn’t accept the gift but he insisted and thats what brought her on the plane today, the excitement bubbled inside her as she couldn’t wait to see him. 

The three of them were going to be staying at his apartment while being there and he was going to go pick them up from the airport as they were going to land not long after he’d be done with training. 

The plane ride couldn't be any longer in Hannah’s opinion, the entire journey her best friend kept teasing her about seeing Jude again, emilia being one of the few people who knew about Hannah’s feelings for him. 

“Will you shut it already!” Hannah whisper yelled, “Jude and I are just friends okay?” 

“Mhmm we’ll see after this weekend.” Emilia smirked and turned to talk to her boyfriend. 

Hannah sighed before hearing the pilot announce they would begin landing soon. She felt her stomach flip with both excitement and nerves. 

They landed safely and headed to the pick up area of the airport with their luggage in hand, Hannah had texted Jude the moment they landed and he had texted back he was already on his way, and soon enough she say his black Mercedes pull up to where they were waiting. He got out of the car and held his arms out to hug Hannah, to which she jumped into his arms. 

“Missed ya little one.” he chuckled. 

“Missed ya too giant.” she said letting go of him. The couple next to them just smiled and stared at the duo knowing the secret feelings they had for each other. 

When they made it to his apartment it was like Emilia and Lewis weren’t there, it was as if there was a bubble around the younger pair, too engrossed in each other and catching up as if they hadn’t talk to each other in weeks. Jude showed them what rooms they’d be staying and let them unwind before seeing what they wanted to do for the rest of the day. 

Jude didn’t leave Hannah’s side, watching her set out her things as he sat on the bed making conversation and joking as they normally did. 

When she was done they both sat on her bed facing each other just making small talk, then there was a knock on the bedroom door making them both look in that direction, Emilia stood there, Lewis right behind her,  with a smirk on her face making Hannah roll her eyes. 

“Hey lovebirds,” she teased, “sorry to interrupt your moment but me and Lewis came by to say we were gonna check the area out so we’ll just leave you two back to do whatever you were doing.” 

“Uhh yeah that's alright, maybe we can all hang later tonight?” Jude suggested

“Yeah definitely, if you two aren’t too busy for us.” Lewis piped in making Hannah give him a death glare. 

Emilia snickered and pulled her boyfriend away before calling out, “See you later cuties, be safe.” 

Jude turned back to Hannah and they both burst out laughing. 

“They honestly are too much sometimes.” Jude started.

“No honestly its constant, all emilia does is tease me saying that we should date and be a couple based on how close we are.” she laughed nervously. 

“Lewis does the same thing to me on the phone, they’re being little masterminds.” he chuckled 

“Are you implying that they are planning on getting us together?” she asked with wide eyes. 

Jude paused for a minute before scratching the back of his neck nervously, “Umm i mean I’m not too sure, it seems like to me, but its harmless fun right? I mean we’re best friends.” 

Her stomach sank a bit, “Yeah exactly just harmless fun,” he could see her attitude change, “soo um what time is the game tomorrow?” she asked getting off the bed to fold her clothes again.

“Nah nah Han why’d you change your mood right there?” he asked getting up from the bed as well and going to her side. 

“Nothing J.” 

“I know when it’s nothing tell me.” she looked up at him and sighed. 

“J i promise its nothing dont worry just tired from the flight.” he didn’t believe her but stopped pestering. 

“If you say so, wanna watch a movie?” he smiled at her making her smile back and nod, hoping the movie will make her forget that conversation. 

The entire movie they sat close to each other, light cuddling involved but nothing crazy. When the movie finished she got up and told him she was gonna shower so she can change into comfier clothes to which he asked if she wanted one of his hoodies since it was cold in the apartment, which she agreed to smiling widely. 

As he waited for her to get out of the shower, he kept himself occupied on his phone, tv on in the background, the door then opened to the couple who left earlier returning from their time out. 

Jude looked up and smiled, “Hey guys you have fun?” 

“Yeah what about you two huh? Where’s Hannah at?” Emilia asked teasingly. 

“She’s showering,” he started, “you two keep doing that thing about trying to make us a couple, basically outing my feelings, she gets awkward when you do that.” 

Emilia and Lewis looked at him and then looked at each other before bursting out laughing, 

“Mate do you know why she gets awkward when we making those jokes?” 

“Cuz she doesn’t like me that way.” 

“Wow those footballs to the head really do make you loopy,” Emilia sighed, “its cuz she likes you back dummy.”

“Nah stop playing, she definitely does not.” 

“She does too.” lewis argued back 

“The entirety of your friendship she calls me and goes ‘Jude said this’ and ‘Jude did that’ ‘Jude Jude Jude Jude’ she's head over heels for you but is too scared to admit it.” 

“Thats why we left earlier so you guys can admit it to each other.” 

“What?!” Jude was shocked at what he was hearing, yeah he had feelings for Hannah but thought the distance and everything would turn her away from being in a relationship. 

“Yes now we’re gonna go to our guest room and you go to Hannah.” Emilia said dragging her boyfriend to their room. 

Jude then walked into Hannah’s room and sat on her bed, he heard the water turn off and gulped nervously. 

Hannah came out in just a towel and just about jumped when she saw Jude sitting on the bed. 

“Oh good lord you fucking scared me,” she chuckled making him laugh, “whats up? Everything okay?” 

“Yeah no everything’s good just came to spend time with you.” he smiled making her blush. 

He waited for her to change into her clothes in the bathroom before she came and sat legs crossed on the bed next to him, he looked at her and handed over the hoodie he grabbed for her. 

“Thank you very much.” she smiled widely putting it on making him smile even wider. 

They both then just laid back next to each other in a comfortable silence before Jude decided to break it. 

“Soooo..” he started 

“Soooo..” she repeated giggling. 

“Emilia told me I’m your favorite topic of conversation.” he teased, making her blush and covering her face. 

“I’m gonna kill her.” she groaned

He turned his body to the side to face her, moving her hands away from her face. 

“I think it’s cute y’know?” he smiled, poking her side making her giggle, “y’know what else i think is cute?” she shook her head as he brought his body closer to her side, basically hovering over her. 

“Well, i think its cute when you blush, I think its cute when you scrunch your nose when being complimented, i think its cute how you ramble when you get fired up about something,” their eyes were locked on each other, “I think its cute how small you look next to me and right now how small you look in my hoodie, cuz you're just overall cute.” 

“Why thank you but what is this all about?” she whispered smiling slightly

“Cuz i heard someone has a crush on you.” he smiled slightly back, her smile started to grow a bit. 

“Oh yeah? I heard someone has a crush on you too.” she responded. 

“Oh yeah? Well the person who has a crush on you really wants to be more than friends but he’s scared you won’t want the same.” he leaned down closer

“Well the person who has a crush on you is scared of the same thing.” 

“The person who has a crush on wants to kiss you right now.” he said confidently 

“Please do.” she whispered before he crashed his lips onto hers. 

Hannah swore she was dreaming, but was glad she wasn’t. 

The kiss was short but sweet and was the confirmation they both needed. 

“Been waiting too long to do that.” he chuckled, making her giggle. 

“Worth the wait.” she said kissing him again. 

The next day there Hannah was in her #22 Bellingham jersey cheering her best friend, now boyfriend, on in the stands for his biggest game at Dortmund. 

The rest was history.

Alright, guys. We need to talk.

Warning, this contains spoilers about Brahms: The Boy II.

It’s been nearly a full month of social isolation (for us) and we finally caved; yes, we watched Brahms: The Boy II and… it sure was an experience.

It’s not like we didn’t know what we were getting into. Oh, we made sure to read all those reviews on Rotten Tomatoes as soon as the movie came out, going through the stages of grief by memeing about it (mostly Edith, cause she’s the memelord in this relationship). 

There’s so many things wrong with this movie that I (Lucille) have to make a list or I’m gonna lose track:

1. Paper-thin characters

If you thought Malcolm was annoying, wait till you meet Jude’s dad, Sean (I had to look his name up, I’m not even joking). His entire character is Dad™ . That’s it. There is no depth to him, he’s there to deliver jokes only he finds funny (much like Malcolm), and be the “sceptic” who tries to explain away everything until the very end, when he finally appears out of nowhere (because PLOT) and saves the day.

Lisa is next. And I feel so sad for Katie Holmes cause she’s trying so hard to give her character some depth. The entire home invasion looks stupid, the family moves and settles in the new house in just 10 minutes of movie time, and Lisa… is suffering from some very obvious PTSD. Which she doesn’t go to a therapist for. For some reason. But Jude does. *sigh* She’s reduced to be The Anxious Mother and this is unfair to Holmes.

Ralph, I’m so sorry. Edith read in an interview that he took the role because his kids loved the first movie. If anybody is criminally underused in this movie, it’s him. Joseph, his character, is supposed to be the creepy groundskeeper of Glennview Estate (the new name of Heelshire Manor), who is actually a servant of the creepy doll and he’s been helping it by leading Jude to it. Aaaand that’s it - that’s his entire character.

Jude’s character was basically mute for most of the movie, but I think Convery did an okay job at conveying emotion in certain scenes. I’m not gonna pick on the kid actor in this.

I hope they all got paid well at least.

2. Callbacks. SO MANY CALLBACKS.

In the words of Edith: “They feel so gratuitous but they’re more like a knife in the heart”

We get so many of them: hints about Brahms, old (new) photos of him playing the piano, his actual birthday date, etc. AND HE NEVER APPEARS. Btw, the official articles he appears in never say that he killed Emily either, but Joseph and people in town seem to think he did it. I still say D O U B T on that one, especially after the scene with the doll skewering Jude’s bully. Brahms WAS hearing voices however, soooo I guess he also got possessed in the end?

3. Script bad. Lore bad.

Oh, where to begin with this one. EVERYBODY, and I mean every single character in this movie, just keeps infodumping. Ever heard of “show don’t tell”? Sadly, Stacey Menear forgot about that while writing this script (but, in his defense, I have a theory about this and I’m going to cover it in another post). 

If I count all the continuity errors and the times Jude’s bully said “mental” (because LOOK, HE’S BRITISH), I’ll be here all night. Did you, like me, think that Brahms was living in the walls for 20 years? Nope. Joseph says it was 30 years. On that matter, the doll was in the Heelshires’ possession until 2015 which really doesn’t match with the timeline of the first movie as far as I’m aware. Then, there is the fact that we have those photos of child!Brahms with the doll, so Malcolm was wrong when he said that the doll appeared AFTER the Heelshires “lost” their son. AND we’re supposed to think that the doll has the same name as our boy because…? Coincidence??? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

Was this the way of the filmmakers hinting at the fact that this is an alternate timeline? I sure hope so! This was all on purpose, riiiight William?

4. OH GOD THE DOLL MEAT NOT THE DOLL MEAT

If I didn’t know this was supposed to be a horror movie, I’d think it was a comedy. Seriously, every time “Brahms” moved his eyes, turned his head, or tried to be creepy in general, me and Edith would just giggle. It was SO awkward. Here you have those grown ass adults scared of a doll that hasn’t really done anything serious yet one hour into the movie. 

But then, it gets worse.

This is it, folks. This is what we all needed to see. 

I’ll give props to whoever designed this, however, because it is disgusting. (Also, notice how the right side of the face is a different colour? Just like Brahms. CALLBACK? xD)

The Verdict

Watching this movie felt like reading a very boring textbook. Time slowed down and it just wouldn’t end, even though it was just 1 hour and 26 minutes long, including the credits. By the end of it, we both felt nothing. The experience was just… worse than forgettable in a way, because this movie attempts to change what the first one got right. Gone was the atmosphere, the sympathetic protagonist, the tortured anti-villain(?). There’s no emotional connection to anything in it, not even a plain old cheap jumpscare.

Anyway Willy said that it’s an alternate timeline so we can collectively ignore this mess and make memes out of it.

Hiveswap: The Theorizening

Having finished Hiveswap, there’s a lot of different things going through my head at once, thoughts, theories, characters, so I’ll try to not mix things together! That being said, as theories tend to be, Spoiler Warning under the cut! Also sadly I won’t be able to post images in it quite yet since they’re not too easily available around right now, will probably have to wait until some Youtube Video pops up with the gameplay/cutscenes. Without further ado!

Grandpa Harley - There’s a lot that has been revealed about Grandpa in the first half of Act 1, before moving to Alternia. He’s an absent father, and his absence obviously affects Joey a lot. She doesn’t like to blame herself for him not being there, and thus channels this as well deserved anger towards him, specially as she cannot relate to him in the slightest with his disdain for animal life. However, I noticed a few things Joey mentions. He’s been coming back home less and less ever since his wife died, and having ‘vacations to the Pacific Ocean’. I don’t know what’s going through that moustached head of his, but Jake didn’t come across the Frog Temple by mere chance, he actively seeked it for years before bumping into it. Where did he learn about it? What’s going on? Also the basement is full of Crockercorp Tools, old, but still present there. Is there some mind control and manipulation going on perhaps? Jane had to bear with the Baroness for a long while before she straight up faded, but Jake just ‘left her’, perhaps Crockercorp things reminded him of his departed sister? For all the hoarding and aimless adventuring we always thought he did, it seems like he does have a goal. That being said, the obsession doesn’t excuse his neglect for his family or being a shitty parent and being absolutely crazy but, yeah. There’s something deeper going on with him, and I’ll be glad to explore this facet of him on Hauntswitch.

A. Claire - She’s dead. From the very first moment you start the game, in the very first room, you get heavy clues that she’s already dead. However, while I thought A. Claire was nothing more than ‘Joey’s Mom’ before, after playing through the game I can’t help but feel there’s something more to it. She had the Key. The Key was a ‘Heirloom’ she stored in her jewelry box? Or did it appear there afterwards? Joey heavily associates it to her, and with Grandpa’s obsession of tracking down the Frog Temple growing stronger after she died, I have to wonder if there’s something more going on with her. How did she die, exactly? What was she hiding? Again, something really interesting to have in mind for Hauntswitch.

Tetrarch Dammek - Wow. I don’t think any of us expected him to be such a dick. Look at that name, too- Tetrarch Dammek. Tetrarch is basically ‘one of four rulers’, and I believe Xefros alludes to there being another 3 Tetrarchs within the resistance. With him gone, the power structure of the Rebellion is shaking, and now Trizza will make her move- They have to make do, and they’re very likely going to have to get Joey to help them. Back to Dammek himself though, Tetrarch is ALSO an 8-Letter title, like Adults on Alternia seem to use. The Tetrarch. Along with his ideals and how he treats Xefros, it seems that he’s living a sort of Highblood Power Fantasy of Leadership and Control to bring Trizza down. If we’re supposed to care about him, Jude/Roxy are very likely going to shove him in the right direction. Maybe without his guns and in an alien planet, he shows his true colors, scared, defenceless, with no one backing him up- And he learns to be a better person before going back to Alternia. I sure hope so.

Xefros Tritoh - Sweet cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too PURE. I fell in love the moment Joey started to talk with him, poor thing has been pretty much brainwashed. It puts in perspective just how shitty Rustbloods REALLY have it on Alternia, and makes me wonder if Aradia’s complacency comes from this too. Like... It’s not just that it’s her thing, she was ‘0kay’ with things, but rather just a... Grim outlook on not being able to do anything about her situation. “That’s fine. It’s how things are.” That being said, Joey came to the rescue quite unexpectedly, I didn’t think she’d lash out against Dammek like that and I’m VERY glad she did! I still think Dammek has a chance of redemption on Earth, but what he’s done to Xefros is intolerable, and I’ll be glad to see his confidence AND his psychic skills develop over time as he journeys with Joey through Alternia to bring down the Empress!

Doc Scratch - We have little information about him so far. There was the delivery to Xefros but that’s about it. That was incredibly creepy. Someone also mentioned the Hint System sounded a bit like Scratch- But I’m not quite sure since I never clicked the ? Button, I might check it at a later date. For now, his involvement seems to be pretty tame, but if he’s pulling the strings behind Trizza, it’s been a nice little cameo so far.

Trizza Tethis - What a bitch. I love her. We didn’t see much about her, but we heard more about how awful she is, and got that one last image at the end. “Wish you were here”, what a piece of shit. Who was she saying it to? The other members of the resistance perhaps?

Axolotl - We actually did get a little bit teased about that! The painting in the hallway had what, to me, looked like Aztec representations of the Grimalkin, the Sloth and the Axolotl, which is very interesting. Foreshadowing? Or perhaps something more? There was also a weird tapestry in the Trophy Room I can’t quite remember, but it could be something really interesting to analyse at a later date.

Biggest Fan - I’m assuming Xefros and Joey are going to see Cridea at the end of the game. Maybe? The only other option I can think of is the Rebel Marshall. I believe they said their biggest fan was a ‘she’, unless I’m thinking wrong, otherwise it could be Fiamet too! (Wait is Fiamet a guy? I actually think I just assumed he was a guy because the Axolotl from Animal Crossing is a guy. God dammit, it could really be anyone huh? What a mess). Whoever it is, given he mentioned it’s a ‘Fan’, I doubt it’ll be another Tetrarch.

Tetrarchs - The leaders of the Rebellion. Dammek was one of them. I wonder if Cridea or Fiamet are Tetrarchs too. Who knows, maybe the Canon Fantrolls are Tetrarchs! That would be an interesting plot twist wouldn’t it? I’m assuming Fiamet IS one, merely based on the fact he has the power of the Green Sun on his side. Too valuable and powerful of an asset to NOT be a leader.

Alternia - We’ve gotten a few glimpses at life in Alternia! Lo and behold, it just so happens that Hellworld is EVEN WORSE than I thought from the canon! Even with Trizza being excessive in her killings, it just feels like absolutely no one cares about Rustbloods and lives of the lower bloods can be taken for like, anything at all. Seems like there are contests that can change people’s lives however, like the music one Xefros and Dammek seemed to want to attend, that would either give them a life of ‘luxury’, or death. There was a comment on how it took SWEEPS for Scythian to deliver something to Rustbloods, which means that apparently you MUST register your caste on literally EVERYTHING online. Another interesting fact, aside from the Stickball sports which seems a mixture of Rugby, Quidditch and Pool, Xefros mentions Rustblood Dead Communion, and also Blueblood posh attitude and crushing strength, making it canon that, yeah, those kind of powers aren’t actually genetic oddities but are commonplace among castes! Of course comparing Aradia’s telekinesis with Xefros’, it’s obvious some Trolls may be better gifted than others, and I wouldn’t be surprised if some outright lack them. Still, interesting.

Jude - He’s still convinced that the figures are behind this, but something the previews and trailers didn’t mention is that he believes the figures are after the portal. In the same vein, on Alternia, the interviews said that Trizza wants to get her hands on the portal too, which after driving Joey and Xefros away is incredibly easy. Seems like the villains of both games are after this thing, whatever it is. I thought Jude would be nervous and shaky and scared, but NOPE, he’s fucking ready, he’s been ready all his life to take those things down, and I think that’s kind of impressive. Still a dork though.

Joey - Poor thing knows nothing about Alternia, and it’s hilarious to see how confused and grossed out she is through the game. I wonder if she’ll have to eat bugs at some point. I hope she has to eat bugs at some point. She’s so pure too. I like how at the end, Xefros blushed grabbing at her, but she just flashed a little, comfortable smile. I ship Xefros <> Joey already, and feel like, given how her orientation has been leaning so far with the paintings and statues in the Harley Household, she’s totally gonna fall in love with some blueblood lady. Watch her blush when Cridea enters the scene.

The Portal - God this fucking THING. Up in the attic I tried to see if I could see the God Tier’s symbol next to the portal, but it was too difficult. I think it was somewhat round? It might’ve been Mind? But I might’ve just imagined things too, who even knows. The portal itself though, I did NOT expect it to be artificial. It’s not just a structure someone found. Jude has Blueprints. And on Alternia, the more futuristic looking version is also built and has Blueprints. Xefros calls it a ‘weapon’ but he also obviously has no idea what it does, meaning Dammek likely has some more idea about it, just like Joey does. Did they build it? was it some attempt to contact both words? Can a built structure actually be a Juju? I have so, so many questions about that thing and I hope the game solves all of them eventually. But for now, there’s just not enough information to determine anything. It’s soooo weird.

Those are my thoughts on the lore the game added upon so far. We’ll see how things go as more things about Hiveswap and Act 2 start to pop up!

FAVORITE RP EXPERIENCES

Another great experience I’ve had was a gossip girl, vampire diaries roleplay called Within Temptation! It was the first roleplay where I really learned how to expand on my writing and understand my character, thanks to a few tips from my fellow members. I had always been used to one-liners or a few paragraphs, so when I asked one of the members how she went about writing so much, she told me she just expanded on how her character felt, what he went through to get to this point, and how it aids their situation. I mean, obviously, the answer should be pretty blatant, but it was one of those moments where someone had to say it for me to really acknowledge it. This roleplay also helped me grow my affinity for Stefan Salvatore, who I played, and learned about so deeply. I really appreciate him as a character now, thanks to WT.

FAVORITE SHIPS !!!!!! I have so many !!!!!! But, okay… I will attempt to list them all from my poor excuse of a memory, and/or narrow it down to my real real real favs that I can’t live without :-) but, of course, the list will grow as roleplaying lives on~

Richard & Eleanor ( Evan Peters and AnnaSophia Robb — They were this, poor boy / rich girl ship that happened out of nowhere between myself and @vcorhees  way back in the day. They really feel like a couple to me, and I guess I love them because a lot of my ‘ships’ take a long time to get to that point where they’re finally a couple, but it just happened so effortlessly for them. They really couldn’t be any more different, yet mesh so well together… they were my core reasons for loving both Evan & AnnaSophia ) — Stephen & Wendy ( Max Irons and Jessica Alba — Okay, I know I know. They’re really new and really fresh and hardly a ship. I might be getting ahead of myself, but I feel like these two are such a classic “opposites attract” or “friendship turned into something more” that it really gets me excited to see where their thread goes. I really like these two, the chem is off the charts !!! )  

Alice & Patrick ( Olivia Cooke and Logan Lerman — So these two really helped me as a writer. At the time, Patrick was in and out of relationships with various girls and honestly, it was mostly because I was bored when ships finally became couples. I admit it was a huge flaw I had as a roleplayer until Alice came along, shout out to @nierps  for sliding into my life like that. She challenged Patrick in such a real way that helped me admit to myself that your character will be the bad guy, if not sometimes, all the time. I’m so thankful that they happened because now, it helps me shape my characters in such a real way that I wouldn’t have before. ) 

Indiana & Silas ( Nina Dobrev and Hunter Parrish — Okay, so talk about the slowest of all the burns. I think slow burns are great but are so hard to stay committed to in a roleplay filled with options thrown at your feet. However, when you feel that connection, that you know you’d love to see play out on some sort of screen, that you’d be rooting for sitting in your seat… that’s when it’s easy to stay committed. Contrary to my last ship, Indiana and Silas taught me how to stay committed, and that it’s safe to put your ship through real-life tragedies and struggles, without fearing abandonment as a roleplayer. I want to thank @veronicalodgv for always meeting me with the same amount of enthusiasm that I wouldn’t have if she hadn’t too. ) 

Sara & Ace ( Phoebe Tonkin and Bill Skarsgard — They are your typical, push and pull, hate to love you type of couple. At first, I assumed my thread with @electricinndigo would turn into some sort of hate sex kind of thing, which I wasn’t totally comfortable with because my smut is shit, honestly, lmfao. But I have to say, Ace and Sara are really turning into a ship that is so promising, that I’d really love to see what else they go through. I think this ship is also really important to me because I find it quite difficult to challenge a ship when it’s in an indie instead of a roleplay community. You’re not being thrown other ‘options’ or having other characters chime in on your character or ship. Frankly, I haven’t been in indie for that long, but I was quick to judge the easiness of shipping when you have no one else to challenge you. That’s why Sara and Ace are special to me, because they challenge each other, and it’s opening more doors for the other ships I have. So, Kellie!! Thank you for that. )

Blake & Cindy ( Matthew Daddario and Lee Jieun — So @requicms​ and I have been writing these two for a long time now, haha, but no complaints are coming from me whatsoever. My adoration for Matthew is definitely satsified when it comes to these two, as well as my thirst for a POC ship!!! Lbr, I feel like they’re soooo cute. Anyway, Cindy is such a hard character for me to be flexible with, so the fact that I’m shipping her with Blake is such a huge thing for me as a writer. It helps me go through the steps of opening a character up to something intimiate and real, and with these two, it’s just so pure and innocent. It’s not like any other ship I’ve had, so I really love these two for helping me try out something new, with a character as closed off as Cindy. )

Okay, so assuming this means my mutuals…. @electricinndigo​, I want to go on and on about how much I love her but I feel like that’s really repetitive because I’ve done it more than twice, haha. She’s just amazing. I love her writing style, her gifs, her muses… the list goes on. @requicms​, there’s something amazing about having as much characters as her and being as invested to each and every one of them that blows my mind. I mean, I might be getting ahead of myself, but our plethora of threads really challenges me to not be lazy and put the same amount of effort in order to not just ‘reply bc I have to’. Thank you for challenging me, Lisa! @nierps​, LORD don’t even get me started, lmfao. Nie is the god of all writers, I aspire to be as amazing as her ( hence I probably should’ve finished /proper/ college ). I can’t even go on, I feel like I’ll just be babbling with how great and cool she is. @veronicalodgv​, okay I know she doesn’t indie enough, but tee has become such a close friend of mine since we’ve met all those years ago. she’s the best admin i’ve ever had the honor to be under, who can so effortlessly handle the stress that comes with it. i think the fact that she’s fair without having to bend over backwards to make people happy is really admirable, esp coming from someone like me, who feels like they have to do that when you’re in an admin position. i can’t wait to work with you the future, you’ll always have a special place in my heart @armyofskanksx​, so while I gotta admit that we don’t have a lot of the same favorite face claims (x your kindness is unreal. i really do appreciate your time and patience when it came to helping me learn how to gif, i can’t even explain my gratitude. thank you so much. 

GOOD PARTS OF YOUR DAY

While I don’t love going to work and dealing with the bullshit that is the nursing home, I feel pretty lucky to be there. Sitting all day isn’t great for my health, but being in the lobby when it’s 6pm and everyone went home is probably the second place I get the most inspiration for my writing. I also have a time limit, so I try and squeeze in all my writing before 7:30pm, which is when I have to leave because if my husband is home, I can’t focus on my writing. I also love going home (surprising, I know) and seeing my pup. I love the process of getting ready for bed, like taking off the makeup and tending to skin care, getting into your home clothes… while I sometimes rush towards the process, that’s my ‘me’ time, you know? I don’t have as much me time since I got married, lmfao.

FAVORITE MEMORIES

It’s bittersweet, but one of them would have to be all the times I used to just sit in one of my ex-best friends car. We used to be this trio that loved to drive around and just talk about how we felt and our dreams of being this band that made it big ( we were a church band, fyi lmao ) There was something magical about his car and him driving, with me in the passenger seat and @vcorhees in the back. We were best friends that just… fell so effortlessly into any kind of conversation. We’d pig out, smoke pot & *other, confide in one another and just enjoyed the simplicities of being in each other’s company. I mean, we were more than just friends, we were family. It was a hard slap in the face when that fell apart, but I believe God has a reason for everything and even if I don’t know the reason yet, I trust he’s gonna be alright, despite my reservations.
