I wonder how it must feel for Sneeg to be so dangerous that a new player can hit him and instantly die. He was warning Zam to be more careful after her two accidents the other day and I have to imagine he's always very aware of his own strength as well. He has to be, he's always one miss click away from killing someone. Hell, it turns out he doesn't even have to be the one to miss click, it's dangerous even being around him.

I've seen a fair bit of book 7 spoilers, but I'm confused about some things. How is he a cursed prince exactly? What does the Senate have to do with it? I thought Lilia is alive via the Power of Love or something?

So, after Malleus was born/hatched, the Senate gave him blessings of “power” and “voice” so all would tremble before him and so he could rule over all.

This made it so he had to actively suppress his emotions, such as laughing too loudly because doing so would cause this sort of… sonic BOOM that would make your ears bleed. Lilia was an example of this, for he tickled a young Malleus and Malleus laughed too hard and Lilia’s ears began bleeding. Due to his emotions actively affecting the weather, he can’t allow himself to even CRY in fear of FREEZING SERVANTS SOLID. As we know, his anger causes lightning to strike very easily, and will very likely strike the target of said anger. Thus, he represses it so if it DOES thunder he at least isn’t striking people with lightning.

The Senate also constantly told him he was “special”. It’s a very Akira Sohma (Fruits Basket) situation, but instead of Malleus abusing people he instead retreated within himself and away from others.

He can’t even bring himself ask to join other people in something. It’s why he’s always waiting for an invitation. Everything he touches slips through his fingers, his emotions causes pain and suffering, and he can’t be with those he cares about. There is a distance. One bigger than just status, but one done for safety.

Malleus firmly believes he will never be able to truly laugh with someone, or feel their warmth. He can never join in any sort of merriment. He wonders if he is to be lonely forever, until the day he returns to the stars.

The “blessings” the Senate gave were not blessings.

They were a curse.

And Lilia IS alive via power of love. Malleus’ broken piece of horn and Silver’s ring began to glow, and Silver told Malleus to hold his hand and wish- as Lilia always said that wishes were one of the most powerful forms of magic. During this, Malleus declares he loves Lilia and the two brothers (THEY ARE BROTHERS, YOUR HONOR, THAT IS THEIR FATHER) revive Lilia and restore his magic.

But yeah. Malleus truly be the Beast. 🥺

anon, I am so sorry and I mean this in the best way, but I do think episode 5 is the absolute funniest place to have stopped following Twst because shit starts escalating SO fast after that. episode 6 literally starts with a secret government shadow agency breaking down our doors and kidnapping students. zero to a million instantly.

and like...that's not even the zaniest thing so far? Ortho's hacked into the collective human unconscious. there's time travel (sort of). "Crowley might be Malleus' long-lost father" is a serious theory. if you'd told me any of this back pre-episode 6, I would have asked for the link to this unbelievable but highly intriguing fanfic.
