Condensation dripped down a crystal-cut glass, and a lit hearth warmed the cabin, keeping the frigid snowstorm from crawling inside. By the fire, an old rusty-brown and black mottled wolf sat in his worn leather recliner, his massive fingers gripping the rim of his cup. Flecks of dazzling orange danced in the bright sea green of his irises, his brows drawn tight underneath the brim of his busted ball cap. His jaw tightened as the claws of his free hand dug into the arm of the chair; a low growl building in the back of his throat. Images flashed behind the lids of his eyes with every blink, thoughts of you swirling in his head

Writing down ideas for a Monster High, not au or rewrite but I guess my own G4? Idk it's just vague ideas rn and entirely copy pasted from my notes app so if there are spelling or grammar errors no there's not :]
There's a lot so I'm hiding them
Monster High - Established as a high school (boarding so almost all the students live there) in the USA for teenage monsters to have community, complete their education (or get one if they never had one) (or just get one like a regular person if they're a monster who's born not turned/created), and learn more about the monster world.
Plot (kinda) - No specific main character but Draculaura, Clawdeen, and Frankie are equally important, Draculaura is president of the student council (both the oldest and youngest to be, she's over 100 but she's only a sophomore) and Clawdeen and Frankie are new students arriving during their sophomore year (Clawdeen already did her freshmen year at human highschool and Frankie was homeschooled for a year and has been put with their approximate age group). Plot mostly consists of school shenanigans and travelling places (except that's either school relevant or done during the holidays for the most part no travelling to Boo York like a week into the semester or anything like that). Also no high schoolers dealing with generational beef and all that, just focusing on school life and adventures with the occasional crazy plot.
Lagoona Blue - purple, blue, black, Latina and Asian (Japanese? Some of her g3 dolls have Japanese food and it gave me the idea, idk though), creepy cute, sharp teeth and huge eyes, always looks drowned/like she just got out of a body of water, gyaru influence, eats fish and other sea creatures IS NOT a cannibal it's simply how the food chain works, very go with the flow, lives with her mum whilst her dad and siblings are in Japan (assuming I keep that idea) (they aren't divorced her mum just had family stuff going on in her home country and Lagoona wanted to go and then somehow ended up at Monster High)
Spectra Vondergeist - 2000s scene queen, popular on MySpace before she died, died in a car crash probably, antagonist, desi (half, other half is white, also the half where she got the German last name from), purples, very monotone, runs an popular undead gossip blog that's mostly just rumours and lies and she feels no guilt over it
Howleen Wolf - into scene but is about 15 years late to it, total Spectra fangirl, pink, blue, orange, neon, childish, paw prints on everything, would be a kemonomimi if it weren't for the fact she is already a werewolf, she rly leans into the wolf thing though, Clawdeen's little sister
Clawdeen Wolf - fashion designer, rly into retro and vintage, specifically the 1990s, rly into thrifting, animal print, furs, browns, purples, gold, orangey pinks, plays with hairstyle a lot, sorta looks like she came out of a 90s magazine or music video, needs glasses to see (imagine being a werewolf and still needing glasses), played soccer as a kid
Cupid - skeleton from the 1950s, she's not literally Cupid or connected to the gods she's just really into romance, still runs a radio show, entirely vintage style down to like her hair and makeup routine (how does she have those when she's a skeleton? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯), is Cupid even her real name? who knows, pink, frills, red, white, rose gold or bronze idk, 40s-50s, hearts and feathers (still keeping some angelic elements)
Frankie Stein - not literally the child of Frankenstein but a scientist couple recreating Victor Frankenstein's work in order to create a child of their own (infertility? gay couple? incompatible species? idk), frazzled style, a little punk, school uniform vibes, black and white with pops of colour (blue and yellow, maybe pink, occasionally green), lightning/electricity motif, covered in piercings, tall and square
River Styxx - doesn't attend Monster High, pastel goth but also decora, would use whatever the monster equivalent of 2010s Tumblr is, not really bound by time
Toralei Stripe - British, desi, 1970s punk, singer, orange, black, clothes very torn and shredded, lots of layers, leather and plaid, thrifted, when she starts dating Clawdeen they do clothing diys and such together, temporary antagonist
Iris Clops - really 1960s-70s hippie type, flowy, greens and browns, a little bit of purple, swirls and psychedelic vibes, also a little mod, (keeping her g3 body type)
Draculaura - black, pink, white, the occasional yellow or pastel purple, gothic, lolita, sort of stuck in the Victorian era but with modern elements, skins pink because idk vampire weirdness or from her illness, dyes her hair (maybe IWTV vampire hair logic? then she'd be redying it frequently but that works to explain how it's always changing), her backstories to long but from late Victorian England, almost died of disease, Dracula turned her and then adopted her, her mother is missing, (she's still Taiwanese but very disconnected from her culture, more connected with Romanian culture as she lived there with Dracula for a few decades after her turning), she likes hats and umbrellas, puffy, bows, frills, short and round, in like every school club ever, except the gardening club, not that one
Cleo de Nile - from ancient Egypt but only entered the modern world recently, threw herself into modern clothing, very with the trends but keeps elements of ancient Egyptian culture, heavy makeup, golds, blues, aqua, orange, occasionally bronze, lots of accessories, sheer fabrics, shiny, highest of high heels, wears wigs, has bandages but clothes also mimic bandages, feels the need to prove herself and her wealth and status
Elissabat - turned in the 1980s, trad goth mixed with romantic goth, ran into Draculaura in the 1990s, purples and black, lacey, flowy, long, very covered, big boots, tall and pointy, elegant, did some acting as a human and vampire in the 80s and 90s under the name Veronica Von Vamp and developed a slight cult following before disappearing in the 2000s (attends Monster High after they accidentally find her on a drama club/class trip to Hauntlywood?)
Robecca Steam - steampunk, another one from the late 1800s, desi (kinda, she's a robot but she was designed to theoretically be because Hexiciah is), browns, blues, copper and bronze, metal and leather, harnesses, frills, a little masc, googles, hats, less rich Victorian, more working class
Venus Mcflytrap - literally just G3 Venus idk what to tell you
Honey Swamp - not too different from G1 but she's a MH student from the start, and her outfit is cuter (nothing against her G1 design she's one of my faves) cottagecore, flowery, pastels, greens and purples, into cinematography and gardening (in the gardening club with Venus? Dating Venus?)
Deuce Gorgon - finally a boy, punk mixed with grunge, almost the average alt teen boy in the 2000s but cooler, sunglasses, browns, oranges, greens, leather, snake skin (fake), spikes, metal but idk what metal, return of the snake mohawk, not actually the son of Medusa just the son of a female Gorgon, maybe she can be called Medusa anyway and it's like a joke that she's Medusa but not THE Medusa
Viperine Gorgon - Deuce's cool older cousin, makeup artist, not a student at Monster High (plot she helps out as the makeup artist with the drama club?), retro, boho, hippie, pinks and baby blue, a little yellow/cream, more snakey than Deuce because she's older, all her hair is snakes, paisley patterns
Skelita Calaveras - just G3 Skelita tbh, maybe not the magic though just because I don't really feel like incorporating magic
Heath Burns - that guy who wears branded sports wear all the time, orange, yellow, black, blue, burnt, fire, lava, yk that one concept art of g3 Heath, buzzed but with fire hair, fire elementals have regular hair and fire hair, his regular hair is shaved, I don't think this makes sense to non Australians but his outfits would kinda have eshay vibes, he's not one but he'd dress like one
Clawd Wolf - you know Troy Bolton? Like he does basketball and theatre basically, and it's like a little bit of a conflict but only because his schedule clashes often, ripped jeans, varsity jackets, t-shirts with musicals on them, basketball jerseys, sneakers like all the time no matter the occasion, sorta always looks like he just came from basketball practice or drama club (because he probably did), Clawdeen's twin

Public domain character designs. I keep failing to draw full body lineart lol.
[ID: Twelve versions of the same digital drawing showing a wolf or dog character from the chest upward against a light grey background. Each has blank eyes with no pupil, and a spiked collar. The first is black with a light grey chest, and red stripes on its face, shoulders, and ears, with blank white eyes. The collar is matching red. The second has dark blue fur with gold stars and thin stripes, with white chest and central stripe on its face surrounded by sky blue, and red-brown eyes and collar. Above this one is a simple drawing of the character from the side on all fours, showing a white belly and tail, with white paws and lower legs light blue. The third is light purple with slightly darker purple stripes, with a white chest, and cheeks, and uneven large white or black patches. Its eyes are gold, the collar dull brown. The next three have the same base, of black fur, with white rib-like markings on the chest, and a skull like pattern on the face, and a black collar. The second and third versions of this have additional splashes of red and then green liquid, like blood or slime, drenching the neck, upper shoulders, and the crown of the head, dripping down the face and arms. The seventh is striped with dark and pale-grey purple, with dark teal and purple stripes going down the face and chest, with purple eyes and collar. The eighth is pale orange, with a thick gold band down the center, and more curved gold bands on the sides. The eyes are pale yellow, the collar red. The ninth is dark orange, with gold stripes, purple cheeks and chest, lower arms white, and white markings on the ears and around the eyes and nose. The tenth is dark blue, with a purple chest and stripes on the forehead, and pink markings around the eyes and above the nose. The eleventh is stripes in different shades of sea-foam, ice blue, and dark teal, with wing-like bands flaring out from the green eyes. The collar is black. The twelfth and last is monochrome black and grey, with stripes of different shades vertically on the face, then horizontal on the cheeks, chest, and arms. End ID.]
Feel free to donate some public domain full-body lineart for me to make more designs with lol...

⛓️ Wriothesley x Reader ⛓️ Eye of the Beholder
In Fontaine’s rugged, unforgiving depths, there is no beauty to be seen by the sane traveler, unless one finds themselves with a curious fascination for filth. The ambience was dark and dreary, with only the most rusted of browns and aged of grays visible to the naked eye. Disgusting, it was, compared to the well-developed aquatic and surface regions of Fontaine and even the rest of Teyvat.
As a warden of Fontaine’s unforgiving dungeons, Wriothesley had no reason to see any sort of beauty in his surroundings. It mattered not if the convict was dressed in the finest reds or the most lowly of rags; if he caught them acting out of line or they somehow managed to slip under the noses of the wardens, he would not hesitate to hunt down the prisoners and bare his fangs. Little bark, all bite, he was known for.
On the rare chances that he did have an opportunity to rise to the surface, his poor eyesight did become somewhat of a hinderance. Under the cover of darkness, everything was in at least twenty different shades of gray. The real world as he knew it was merely blue, golden, and gray.
Through his eyes, the world was merely comprised of shades of those three colors. The rainbow of corals filling the sea and the colorful fish swimming alongside aquatic travelers were sights that Wriothesley was cursed to never behold himself. He had grown used to it, walking along the dungeons and all, but a deep part of him yearned to see the world in its full vibrance.
As you looked down from the water’s edge and found yourself engrossed in the diversity of Fontaine’s nature, Wriothesley would not share that same enthusiasm as you did. Perhaps it was due to his lack of occupancies outside of wrangling prisoners that he found no value in frivolous nature watching. You had faith, however, that if he could actually see what you were experiencing for himself, then he too, would be engrossed by the beauty of Fontaine’s upper-class regions.
He stood by a post out of habit, scanning the area around him while trying to keep his focus on your whereabouts. It was a warden’s habit to remain wary, as it was something that cannot be helped. He wasn’t too eager to hit every sightseeing location in the vicinity, but the fresh air at the very least would do his health some good. Wriothesley rarely had a chance for personal recreation, but when given the chance, he did not hesitate to accompany you on the surface for the time that he was allotted.
Raising an eyebrow, Wriothesley asked you, “What could you possibly find so intriguing about Fontaine’s waters?”
“You just need to take a moment to have a close look for yourself. From floor to surface, its bursting with colorful life,” you said.
Wriothesley shook his head, disinterested in your frivolous observations. The world above Fontaine’s dungeons was just as dull and colorless as the one below him, and so he showed minimal interest in observing the varieties of gold and gray, something he was far too used to seeing in the underground. Silently, he rejected your invitation to observe the waters, and continued resting his body by the post where his gaze remained sharp.
How do you get someone who cannot see the full rainbow to experience life’s vividness through your eyes? Red was but a concept to him, as he was even blind to the intimidating aura of his maroon clothing. Luscious flora was not an attention grabber, with nature’s blessing of the color green being nothing more than a shade of gold to Wriothesley’s wolf-like eyes. The violet corals accenting the forests of pink and orange…to him, they all felt merely the same.
If the physical appearance of color mattered not, then you would have to resort to other methods of conveying the beauty of the world that you saw. You grabbed his arm and tugged him away from the post, dragging him to overlook the waters below. A tall, dancing bush of seagrass waved happily in the gentle current, which you had pointed out to Wriothesley.
“Look at that. What color do you see that as, exactly?”
“…Golden, diluted by a crisp ocean blue. Why do you ask?”
You shook your head, though you knew that he was answering with complete honesty and precisely what he saw from his view.
“Feels like it blends in with the rest of the world, if I’m not mistaken?” you asked.
Wriothesley nodded his head.
“Now…define it not as the golden brown you perceive it as, but more of like…as if the seagrass was brimming with the energy of mother nature herself. It radiates serenity…tranquility…an ornament to emphasize the liveliness that is Fontaine’s ecosystem. This seagrass is but a small example of what the force of life in Teyvat’s has to offer…what we are blessed to call ‘being alive.’ Serenity…peace…the sea itself, all hidden beneath the human nature of envy and illness that is part of this inevitable cycle.
He tilted his head curiously.
“Through my eyes, I simply see it as the color green. To you, however, it exists not as a sight to behold, but as a concept with meaning that the average eye could simply not do justice with sight alone.
You pointed to a batch of branching corals not too far from the seagrass that you had observed.
“These corals,” you said. “how do they appear to you?”
“Darker than the seagrass, though still a shade golden yellow,” he stated.
“Hmmm…these corals are, in fact, quite energetic compared to their seagrass companions. They are bursting with vibrance, capturing your attention and filling you with joy as you gaze upon their tree-like structure. It’s a sense of happiness that cannot be put into words, yet it brightens you day like a warm sun during early autumn…”
Wriothesley focused on these corals as you explained how they felt, though he could feel his attention drifting from the meaning of the words to the mere sound of your voice.
“That is what I call orange. To you, it is the idea of happiness, bustling with joy and energy. Take pride in being able to embrace its luxury, for we do not appreciate its brightness until it has departed our lives.
Wriothesley seemed more attentive than before, as perhaps you had opened his eyes to the feeling of color, rather than thinking of it as something to merely see. He was scanning the water itself, both surface and floor, attempting to visualize the shades of gold that he sees as the feelings that you had described. After a few moments of observation, he pointed to a rounded coral, distinct from the branches you have described prior.
“Those?” you asked.
He nodded gently. “The rounded, lighter blue ones amongst the branched varieties…”
“The rounded corals serve as a metaphor for our imaginations. Their curious existence invokes a sense of mystery and discovery in the ones who have the honor of spotting these rarities. Nobles of both past and present would adorn themselves with these gems, limited only by their imagination; something that the lower class may not have the honor of witnessing in their lifetime. The diamonds in the rough you see here, are what I know as the color purple.”
Wriothesley had become so invested in your beautiful words, that he had lost his concentration on the truly vibrant world that his eyes were blind to. He looked down at himself, perhaps out of shame for his self-perceived dullness, then gazed out at the sea full of energetic corals and peaceful seagrass that stretched as far as the waters would allow. Nothing more than shades of gray and burnt yellow, he was doomed to see himself as.
But Wriothesley was far from what he viewed himself as. His own unique vibrance told a story in itself. It told how he had experienced years of bloodshed from such a rough occupation, how he showed passion to what was important to him, and how he had the strength to carry on despite the injuries that threatened to take his life on numerous occasions.
The dark red suit told a story in its own. Wriothesley was a tough man, but he was also full of care and compassion. By showing no mercy to those who broke the nation’s laws, he assured that the citizens of Fontaine could roam the streets freely and safely.
Wriothesley’s suit was the color of the feelings that you two had for each other.
Not to mention, the color of his face when you explained the meaning behind the red he was adorned with.

My Recommendation
In this post-Afirmative Action world, sans quotas lives a fairy tale of stellar recommendations and grades making their mark… but what happens when a damnation replaces said recommendation? How do you survive?
I used to like to think myself accomplished for my age. I was 27 and had recently finished a prestigious post-baccalaureate program at a prominent university in New York. The world was my oyster and I had put all of my eggs in one basket to pursue a career in medicine. Since the age of 3 it was all I could talk about. I practically repeated the same thing to anyone and everyone that I met. My aspirations to become a physician and what that would ultimately mean…. what my life would be. All that I could fathom was in one tiny inkling of possibility and I relished the prospect daily.
The transition from being an English major to the innate submersion of science was overwhelming to say the least. The words that ebbed and flowed through my mind were constantly all at once washed away by a cacophony of mis-matched equations that led to nowhere, elements that suffered to erase themselves from my tongue as soon as they were spoken, and an uncanny ability to predict the slowing of time based on how complicated a physics equation may be. I still remember with absolute wonder and horror how I believe that I must have had a vascular event status post an organic chemistry examination where I needed 5 to 10 minutes to really remember what city I was in, what direction that I was supposed to be walking to get to my train, and even where I lived.
It was in all of that time that I met an unlikely ally- at least, I thought so at first. She was one of the most admired and feared professors in one of the most popular science departments in the country. While she tended to dress like a vagrant mystic, she had mesmerizing large eyes that could laser focus on you in an auditorium of hundreds and put anyone on edge with the cold silence of her question. As I was recounting a story of this woman’s effect on her class one day, my mother informed me that she believed that she knew of my professor in an unexpected way. “Oh… that sounds like Sarah’s neighbor…I’m almost certain of it.” She stated. We continued our conversation throughout the day and my mother urged me to inform this professor of our social connection.
So, I did. Given that I was determined to bend my mind to science, I religiously attended Professor W’s office hours. It was in one of those classes where we were debating the amazing superiority of the human cell receptors, that I decided to mention it. I explained that my mother and “Sarah” had gone to college together and that they had remained friends and kept in touch. “Oh” she exclaimed. I watched as her round eyes seemed to soften and her smile widened. It was in my naivety that I believed that with my hard work, my dedication, that I had shown her that I was entirely capable and that I might be able to reach my goal someday with her help.
Over the course of the semester, I was able to hone my newfound scientific intellect into a B for my final class grade. Though I had accepted my perfectionist tendencies, I wasn’t particularly sad with this because I knew all of the hours of work that I had put into this class. I welcomed continuing on to fight another day; it instilled a new strain of confidence in me that I thought I didn’t have before. I was ready to go out and sell myself to medical schools. I subsequently finished my post-baccalaureate program and circled back around to professor W. Since I knew that I hadn’t done half bad in her class and I thought that she had gotten to know me during my time in the program as I seemed to spend more time in her office than any other, I thought that she would be the perfect recommendation reference.
I remember walking into the dark paneled mahogany office and sitting down to catch up. She was pleasant with slightly flat affect, eyes large as saucers that threatened to bulge out of her head with the sheer motion of a head tilt… I took it all in. I thought that I had timed it right. I handed her a standard form for the university and asked if she would write my letter of recommendation for medical school.
She slightly slowed what she was doing and repeated back to me what I had asked her. I looked at her and hesitated. “Yes, I would be honored.” I replied. She looked slowly down at her desk as if contemplating something and said “Well, if you would like me to write you a recommendation, so be it. I will write it.” I was ecstatic and couldn’t help almost skipping home that day. It was a beautiful thing to realize that a dream that I was working so hard for, may actually come to fruition…
In the next few months, I was a buzz studying for the MCAT, working, and compiling my medical school file. In what seemed like no time, I had everything complete. I remember walking to the office with the list of schools that I wanted to apply to and made sure that my post baccalaureate office sent out the letters to the schools of my choice. It had truly been a labor of love for me. Once my applications had been sent out to the schools, I spent my time mulling about and counting down the days for a letter for an interview. What went from days to weeks quickly became months. I was subsequently completely confused and dejected.
I used to go over the wording of my essay, questioning whether I may have made an offensive comment. Maybe my grades simply weren’t good enough, or my scores? I wasn’t certain what could possibly have been the problem. To make it worse, the barrage of denial letters seemed to come at the very end of the period. I dared not even ask why I wasn’t up for reconsideration and even decided to apply at the last minute to get my Master of Public Health at my undergraduate university. And this is when time seemed to stop for me.
Somehow, I received vague feedback that there was an “discrepancy” with my application. Something that the reviewers couldn’t comment about but that put my entire application in question and that they had no choice but to reject me. I felt like I had been forced to the end of the conveyer belt and was now falling into the “FAIL” heap. I shuddered to think where I would end up. This was the beginning of many nights of sleeplessness, high blood pressure, and me slowly coming to the realization that medicine may not be for me, that I was simply not qualified.
There were other family friends who had seen my application and recommended me reaching out to other Admissions officers in other branches of the university. However, when I spoke with those officers, they would feign surprise that I was calling them and referred me back to my own post-baccalaureate department without question, almost clucking that I was confused and overzealous. I was trapped.
I decided to take a weekend excursion with my parents down South to visit a family friend. We had a great time, but our friend noticed my consistent anxious and dejected expression. When she asked me about it, I explained the situation. I let her know that medical professional administrators had indicated that there were inconsistencies with my application. I wondered aloud if I needed experience in the medical field more or to take more classes to increase my GPA even more. As I considered my options aloud, she remained stoic and then told me a story about her daughter’s friend.
She stated that her daughter’s friend was an accomplished Ivy League graduate, like me, who had applied to graduate school and continued to be rejected for some time before she realized that a letter of recommendation had been her undoing. I sat perplexed and captivated as she told me that not all letters of recommendation were affirmative to the applicant for which they were intended. She explained that there were some professors who put a knife in the backs of certain students to sink their careers.
What is even more disconcerting is that there is really little to no way for anyone to know that this practice is happening to them. As a student bleeds out their time, work, hopes, and fears other personnel are essentially bound to secrecy. This is because a letter of recommendation only has merit when it is confidential. And in having someone write a poison letter, a student all but gambles and seals their fate with a career ending secrecy pact.
It took some time for me to compose myself. I soon suspected that I may have a poison letter and was able to hire a wonderfully savvy education consultant who was able to help me re-navigate the admissions process. He worked with me to polish my ideas, speak louder and more confidently. He also recommended that I visit the schools to which I applied and (of course) to hone my application with a different compilation of my letters.
I contacted my post baccalaureate admission office and didn’t hear anything back for weeks. I called again with no response. Finally, one day I called the office and was met with one of the staffers answering the phone. When I said hello and who I was, I was told to call that staffer on their cell phone number. This was in the early 2000’s so, people hardly ever said this. I complied and waited about 15 minutes for them to leave the office. Once we were able to touch base, I was told in no uncertain terms to ever call the post-baccalaureate office again and to only contact the staffer. I was flabbergasted. All I could do was hear my heart pound in my throat. They explained that they would be sure to get my consultant the application that had been sent out previously. And both my consultant and I waited…
A week or so after my conversation my consultant received the application and called me into his office and read me something that changed my life. He sat me down at a long table and had two piles- one taller than the other. As I watched, he began to read me the letters of the numerous faculty members who supported me from the taller pile. They all had wonderfully glowing things to say about my abilities and spoke of how I would very likely soar to great heights and accomplish my dreams. I was extremely humbled.
Then my consultant went to the short pile. Which consisted of one letter. He held it up and asked if I was ready to hear it. I took a deep breath and nodded yes. I listened as he, in the words of Professor W., started off with “Though Aisha believes herself to be intelligent, she is in fact one of the worst students that I have ever had.” The letter was a barrage of insults calling me dim-witted, lazy, mentally deficient among numerous other characteristics. She likened me to have the mentality of a second grader and stated that I would have no business in the university’s post-baccalaureate programs and certainly could never survive the rigors of medical school.
My consultant stopped at the end and the silence weighed on my chest. I took deep breaths to keep it at bay. He stated that he wanted me to hear how ridiculous this letter was. How ugly it was. He turned to me and questioned me on my own insecurities stating that my resume, my education, everything that I had done was leading up to medical school and that he was certain that this letter was the thing that was killing my medical opportunities. He implored me to be adamant that I was beyond qualified and to believe it in everything that I did from there on.
I walked out of the office that day feeling the weight and the exhilaration of racial terror. On one hand, it was devastating that I had allowed someone to write these lies about me to share with the world. On the other hand, the words were so hateful, derogatory, and racist that it went without saying. Say what you might, but I am still convinced that this professor firmly believed in eugenics and could have easily written a compelling case based on her “concern for my abilities” noted in my letter.
I had gone to some of the best schools in the country, constantly challenged and tried (with a strong GPA) and this woman was saying that I was barely qualified to tie my shoes. It took me time to reflect, recollect, and regenerate into Aisha 2.0, a young woman who was not afraid to share the many facets of herself. To be gracious in my knowledge, my instinct and the trajectory of my dreams.
In the weeks after me reading my “poison letter”, I was finally able to receive interviews in the second round of my medical school application process. With a swipe of my consultant’s hand, the letter was removed and my dreams were finally coming into formation.
I got accepted into medical school after my second application submission, went on to graduate with honors, completed residency, fellowship, and now continue to practice. But I continually shudder to think about how lucky I was. If I had not had a consultant and a hero in the admission’s office, I likely would never have been a doctor, even though my grades, my resume, my experience, and my background were all worthy of my going to medical school.
I am a unicorn, when I should really be a zebra. I comprise 6% of physicians, when there should really be more as more are needed and most importantly, more are capable. Out of the many legions of students of color who started the medical school process with me, only a few remained. One by one, they were lost to dissuasion, humiliation, and terror just like me. How many other physicians and medical professionals of color have been lost to this exclusionary process? Some may think that this is simply what medicine is, a weed out process. But, students should be selected on the basis of merit and not outright sabotage. The lack of acceptance of people of color in medicine serves as a perpetuation of the poison that continues and feeds our medical system today. If you were dying on a stretcher, you’d want the best physician for the job to save you, but continuation of this “tradition” most likely ensures you’ll have a mediocre physician instead as it works both ways. Who is qualified? What does qualified mean?
Where does this leave others in this new political landscape? Is this where professors like W all but determine who gets to go to a “good school”? Is this where cronyism is rewarded? And what does that do for the world? Homogeneity dims the light of creativity and innovation. If we all have the same thoughts and perspectives, how can one be challenged to be greater than they even knew that they could be?
It is in our diversity that we thrive. It is in our varying perspectives that growth can be cultivated, once and for all. The lesson of my recommendation is that we need a better way to do better now that the precedent is no more. The more this country remains divided, the less time that people interact with one another and only increases the possibilities to develop more fears and misconceptions, opening the door for hatred to ensue. Each possibility of an individual damnation letter is a knife in a student's back, that not only threatens the hopes and dreams of a young soul, but also the progress of a country.

A Halloween thread — Part 1/12
—Probably rate e for horror and thriller elements—
It is supposed to be the season of change, of art. But this year's Shūbun is a chilly dreary affair, quite atypical for the time of year. The autumn equinox stars have just passed the firmament, skipping the milder weather all together. The seasonal changes are already underway and the leaves have started to turn. Luscious vibrant greens make way for shades of gold and red as the temperatures drop and the days grow shorter. It is an all too familiar sight to Katsuki who walks his usual rounds over the cemetery grounds. Briskly he strides past graves of Christians and Buddhists alike, eyes wandering the space impassively.
Of course nothing ever happens around here, he is good at his job. He has been doing it for decades at this point and takes pride in his work as a Kirk Grim.
It has been long since believed that if one buries a dog on newly consecrated ground, its spirit would guard the premises. When the westerners came across the sea, wishing to trade for teas and silks, so too did they bring their new religion of the singular almighty god that offered absolution. Missionaries were quick to erect churches and share their beliefs despite the shogun's disapproval. Although initially intriguing, the fad died quickly due to the prosecution and now, even though there are officially no more Christians or gaijins and missionaries to be found on the land of the rising sun, he still remains as proof, guarding those who had not been cremated as per Buddhist or Shinto beliefs, but rather buried according to the wishes of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
For many years nothing much changes on his dutiful watch. Once or twice a grave robber tries his luck, but they are quickly chased away when he shifts his form into that of a big golden fur wolf and snaps at their ankles, but that had been the height of excitement. Rumours quickly spread of a ‘wild dog’ on the ground and thieves had veered clear of the space since. The only visitors are those of the people still secretly practising the hidden religion in the dead of night, praying to the deceased and the lord under the cover of the moonless night. When they come, he takes the form of a tall man, with spiky blond hair similar to those who have bound him to this place. Upon saying the deceased’s name, he guides them across the plot to their loved ones so they may speak in private. When they are done, he guides them safely back to the living, offering safe passage so as to not be spirited away.
Tonight is supposed to be a night like any other. The orange harvest moon rises high and shines brightly, illuminating the low hanging mist swirling over the ground, which is stirred by the faintest wind from the sudden shift in temperature. That is when his ruby eyes spy her in the latest hour, at the peak of the moon’s bearing across the zenith. Silently she stands just beyond his realm, beyond his church’s consecrated ground.
A girl, as pale as the full moon itself with round cheeks.
He watches her.
It has been years since there has been a new arrival, even more since someone has been buried on his turf.
The new arrival herself is still. The wind, however, makes sure she grabs his attention. Chestnut brown hair billows with the cold wind and whips around her face. Her torn white dress, stained with blood and dirt, hangs loosely on her small frame as she simply stands there, gazing at the cemetery, while wordless tears tumble over her cheeks.
“Oi!” Katsuki calls out, but she does not move.
“Oi!”, he shouts again, and this time she slowly turns to him. The white fabric is torn at the front and reveals several stab wounds to her chest. The gashes run deep and messily overlap. As his eyes wander over her, he finds her neck is bruised with large dark blue hand marks.
Katsuki swallows against the lump in his throat.
It has been a long time since someone arrived unscheduled and in such a manner - dying a death so obviously violently.
The consecrated ground he watches is rich and sanctified despite the dead resting beneath the surface and the missionaries no longer tending to them. Doused with holy water and purified with psalms spoken to guide and help restless souls, they are a beacon to the lost. Those not buried here, wandering and lost spirits, often make their way here to try and find peace and safe passage.
To where, he does not know. The great beyond? The next life? Salvation?
Perhaps she is one of them. Searching for something he can never attain, eternally bound to this place. He should assist her before she turns, before she becomes a ghoul and haunts the living, and torments the innocent, but it does not fall within his responsibilities. He is to guard the ones within his realm, not beyond. Still, he can’t help but think she looks familiar.
“You can’t be here!”, he calls out.
From the distance he sees her open her mouth but not a single word falls from her lips despite them moving. Her pale hands race to her throat, as her eyes grow wider.
Sufficiently intrigued, Katsuki jumps down from his perch and steps closer. Slowly he approaches the fence - the border of his abandoned forgotten domain, the ever eternal yokai and that of the fleeting living mortals.
“If you’re not buried here, you cannot enter.”, he explains with his hands in his pockets and a shrug. “I don’t make the rules.”
He does not know if it is a spell or something else, but no spirit of the dead can enter the holy ground he guards. For all he knows it is a charm the gaijin have etched into the wood that he is unaware of or the fancy iron fence marking the fringe of his responsibilities.
Lifting her hand, she points to the far side of the graveyard, towards the mound with the withered sakura standing and he frowns.
“Either you talk or you fuck off, I can’t read minds.”, he mutters.
The night is long and he has duties to fulfil. He does not feel like spending the night trying to explain to a ghost that she cannot enter. Her lips tremble and the tears spill, shimmering like sweet water pearls in the moonlight as they trickle down ghastly pale, round cheeks. As she tears her mouth open, a piercing wail fills the air.
He flinches.
The howling screech accompanies the wind and simultaneously sends the crows to the heavens in an uproar and him to his knees. His hands shoot up to cover his ears, he slams his eyes shut and curls in on himself as much as possible to save himself from the cacophonous onslaught.
Inexplicably, and all too suddenly, the gust of wind lets up and the piercing sound disappears as instantaneously as it began. Looking up he blinks, the girl is gone, as is the moon which is now hiding behind the thick dark clouds.
Where she stood remains a bloody pair of footprints and is all the proof he has of her visit, though they do not last long. The first drop of rainfall douses the land in a chilly embrace, muddying and erasing all trace of her ever having stood there.

Get to know me!

Last song: Enemigos - Sebastian Llosa 🎶
Last film: Ron's gone wrong🤖😆
Currently reading: Wolfs-kinder by Vera Buck (a Christmas present)
Currently watching: Last Twilight (GMMTV series) / Percy Jackson (Disney series)
Currently consuming: pasta :)
Currently craving: corn cocktails I had in Mexico😣

Were you named after anyone?
As far as I know no, in Italian my name means happiness/joy. But the name I chose for myself is named after the ocean ☺ (Talay means ocean/sea in Thai)
When was the last time you cried?
I've been crying at night, before sleeping. I spent a month with my girlfriend and going back to long distance on the other side of the planet hit me harder than a truck🧸
Do you have kids?
Nope, and I don't plan on having them. I'm already struggling managing myself lol
What sports do you play/have you played?
Many when I was little: swimming, tennis, basketball... my parents wanted their children to try many things but I've always been artisty and I stuck to ballet for 5 years, then paused it for a few and came back for another 2/3 years. Then I went for theater ☺🤸
Do you use sarcasm?
Me? No. I don't use sarcasm, I AM sarcasm. But depends on the language I'm speaking honestly (different language - different personality is a real thing lol)
What's the first thing people notice about you?
I've absolutely no idea, but for some reason they always get my vibe wrong. People think I'm cold and quiet but if they earn my trust, I'm very warm and love physical touch
What's your eye color?
Brownish? Idk people have told me they look orange at times (???) or green under direct sunlight 😃 Let's say a light brown? copper maybe???🤭

Scary movies or happy endings?
I like both. Depends on my mood. (One of my fav series is scary with sad ending and all my fav movies are happy endings)
Any talents?
Some would say many, others would say none. I'd say I try my best in everything I do and talent is often a misused concept that only appreciates something you were born with instead of what you've worked hard on (even worse if people call talent the skill you've spend time and tears on)
Where were you born?
Milan 🙂 (fun fact I was kinda ☠ing and doctors had to remove my right kidney cause I had a tumor. All fine ever since tho☺👍)
What are your hobbies?
Many, I mostly make my hobbies collide with my growth in knowledge and working opportunities. Everything from writing, watching videos, playing videogames, listening to music, spending time in nature...
Do you have any pets?
2 meows 🐱
How tall are you?
Shmall! I'm always the smallest one🥲 1,60 m 🤏
Favorite subject in school?
Def art class when I was little, then maybe math cause it has always been very easy for me. (But I used to love a subject depending on the topic and my own willingness to study it lol)
Dream job?
I'm trying to get a job as a 3D animator but it's hard. I just want to work in the cinema industry honestly 🥺 maybe travel from time to time...

A bit late but thank you @meraki-yao for the tag, you're always lovely ☺❤
Tagging someone that I hope hasn't done it yet: @manic-pixie-fever-dream @mylucayathoughts @couldvebeenus @onpurposeilovehimonpurpose

Fire! Trapped on the 37th Floor (1991) (TV) Scene with three fire-fighters getting out of bed in jockeys (one white, one red, one black) and one tee-shirts.
First Power, The (1990) Twenty-five minutes into the film: Lou Diamond Phillips quickly puts jeans on over white briefs; he then walks around room wearing only jeans with waistband of briefs showing.
First Strike (1996) Humorous actioner with Jackie Chan, including a scene where he's stripped naked at gunpoint. "One of the funniest scenes is Jackie singing 'I Will Follow Him' accompanied by a strip tease"; "I was going to say 4.5 stars, but then I thought about Jackie walking around in that hysterical polar bear hat and the koala underwear...5 stars all the way!"
First-Time Felon (1997) (TV) Boot-camp drama. Omap Epps and other prisoners being inducted into a prison, lined up in white T-shirts and boxers.
Fish Called Wanda, A (1988) John Cleese does what he thinks is a private sexy strip tease down to his bikini briefs and then some, and finds he is being watched by an entire family who are somewhat shocked by the sight of him.
Fisher King, The (1991) Robin Williams and Jeff Bridges are in Central Park at night and Robin Williams is dragging his butt across the ground nude like a dog saying "Do you know why dogs do this? Because it feels SOOO good!!" Absolutely hilarious!!
Five Easy Pieces Don’t remember scene, though definitely has underwear scene
Flashfire (1993) Action. Tom Mason is killed early on, shot dead in his white undershirt and dark print boxers.
Fled (1996) Action. The heroes visit (surprise!) a plush massage parlor, where they're greeted by a most attractive black man in a black robe and white boxer briefs. Cue another shootout and the guy is quickly killed. Such a shame.
Flesh 1995 - A Male Sexorama of Tomorrow (XXX) A rather stupid story (as in most pornos): after some nuclear accident sex for pleasure is forbidden and only allowed for public TV. This gives rise to some beautiful hunks to appear on stage in different types of underwear (thongs, jock-straps, briefs, and boxers). After getting hard in them there are various scenes of sexual pleasure (really hot, especially because of the underwear playing an important role). This finally ends up in a hot j/o session among 5 guys (this time without underwear). Copyright 1990 by Videorama.
Fleshtone (1994) Martin Kemp on the phone in his white underwear.
Flirting with Disaster (1996) Ben Stiller has a lot of scenes in his boxer shorts - including a running joke where he’s constantly taking his pants on and off.
Flying Down to Rio (1933) Gene Raymond rhapsodizes about Delores Del Rio in his hotel room, dressed in white yoke-front boxer shorts.
For Love of the Game (1999) Drama/romance. "We briefly see the back of Billy's (Kevin Costner's) underwear as he gets undressed while preparing for the game".
For Love or Money (1993) Comedy. Michael J. Fox in his underwear at one point; dark boxers.
For Your Eyes Only (1981) Action. James Bond and team attack a mountain hideout at the end of the film. Some guards are caught asleep, and are glimpsed getting out of bed in their assorted underwear.
Forces of Nature (1999) Romantic comedy. Needing cash, Ben Affleck reluctantly has to strip in a gay bar, and is highly embarrassed when Sandra Bullock suddenly pulls his trousers down, revealing his boxer shorts to an enthusiastic audience.
Foreign Correspondent (1940) Joel MacCrae in hotel room in bathrobe. Two toughs come in to get him. He goes into bathroom and out hotel window. On ledge, robe blows open revealing him in A-shirt, white boxers, with shoes, socks and garters. Long scene as he escapes and climbs through a window only to be where a party is going on in his underwear.
Forrest Gump (1994) Tom Hanks and friend ‘Bubba’ (Mykelti Williamson) are in their military white boxers and T-shirts, as they clean the barracks floor - talking about shrimp.
Fortress (1993) Violent, futurist prison-escape drama. Christopher Lambert movie with lots of prisoners in black underwear (including a few on the toilet).
Fortress (USA Movie) In the middle, the actors and actresses strip down to their underwear and swim out of a cave. Don’t know the people, though.
Fortune and Men’s Eyes Hot scene of guys in classic white briefs.
Fortune, The (1975) Warren Beatty and Jack Nicholson drop their trousers for Stockard Channing in this 1920’s era comedy, revealing white full-cut boxers and garters.
Forty-Ninth Parallel (1941) Wartime drama. Fugitive German sailors stand and salute in their shirts and undershorts before getting into bed. In an escape bid at the end, they steal an old railroad guard’s uniform.
Foul Play (1978) Dudley Moore believes he is very sexy in full-cut printed boxer shorts covered in red hearts.
Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994) Romantic comedy. Hugh Grant momentarily seen in his white shirt and pale blue boxers in one scene; blue T-shirt, striped boxers in another.
Fourth Man, The (1983?) A gay Dutch man obsessed with another younger man, spies on him - and follows him throughout the Netherlands. White European briefs on one man, as he ‘massages’ himself. Red bikini briefs on the younger man, in a fantasy sequence where the obsessed man pictures the younger man on an erotic crucifix, where he slowly and sensuously pulls the red bikini briefs off the younger man inside a Dutch church.
Foxy Brown (1974) Action. A judge ends up humiliated in a public hallway without his pants. A gang leader is stripped for mutilation (who makes this stuff?!).
Fraternity Row (1977) Lots of guys (including Gregory Harrison) being hazed in briefs. LONG scene at end of movie.
Freejack (1992) Pretty short (yet nice) scene towards beginning of movie with Rene Russo waking Emilio Estevez outta bed. Emilio laying down and walking around in gray Jockeys. Nice shots, but look fast.
Freeway (1988) Ball-exploding scene has beefy James Russo getting out of bed in white jockey shorts and grey T-shirt.
French Kiss (1995) Kevin Kline in his underwear in the hotel room when he sleeps on the couch.
Friday (1995) Comedy. Two short but good scenes: Drug-confused Chris Tucker running down the street in his white undershirt and briefs, pursued by his friends in a car; and Bernie Mac, chased by jealous husband, running to his car in his white undershirt and red briefs.
Friday the 13th (in some parts) There are some scenes where young men in briefs were killed.
From This Day Forward (1946) Mark Stevens in white boxers and A-shirt, has a marital quarrel with Joan Fontaine.
Full Metal Jacket (1987) For those with boxer fetishes.
Full Monty, The (1997) The hit comedy about a bunch of unemployed guys who become strippers.

(below, there are some observations about my language and its gendered words, which we have a lot. feel free to ignore if it's not of your interest)
As you can see, most adjectives are gendered; like "brava" (femimine) and "bravo" (masculine) -- both meaning "angry/pissed off". Mostly, the letters "o" and "a" are used to define if a word is masculine or feminine, respectively, and there aren't neutral alternatives for them (few exeptions are adjectives like "inteligente [smart]" and "estudante [student]" or "forte [strong]" which are completely neutral, like the english ones). Then we have the official gendered pronouns of portuguese language, "ele (he)" and "ela (she)". Lately, though, people are agreeing on the inclusion of neutral alternatives, using the letter "e" in these gendered words, instead of "a" or "o"
Ex: Brave (neutral alternative for brava/bravo) - angry
Cuidadose (neutral alternative for cuidadoso/cuidadosa) - careful
Esperte (neutral alternative for esperto/esperta) - another word for "smart"
And as some masculine words use "e" instead of "o", (like "ele"), the neutral equivalent would use "u" (becoming "elu", the neutral pronoun in portuguese language, like the singular they in english).
Fun fact: The word "the" also is gendered in portuguese, being divided in "o" (masculine) and "a" (feminine): [a mulher era inteligente - the woman was smart] or [o homem era lindo - the man was beautiful]. The neutral equivalent of it would be "ê" (ê menine era divertido - the enby was funny).
Another fun fact: There is a thing in portuguese which we call "nominal concordance" (concordância nominal), which is basically that every word in the sentence has to agree in number and gender with the noun. In english, most of the words are naturally neutral, but not in portuguese. Basically, nominal concordance means that you can't put a masculine adjective to describe a feminine noun. And I don't mean just "woman", "girl" and words like that. Many things in portuguese, like normal objects, also are put like fem or masc, since we don't have the pronoun "it". "Door" would be a feminine noun. Just as "mug", "shirt" or "window". So we use feminine adjectives when refering to such objects. Ex: A porta estava aberta. (The door was open - pink are the feminine words. Door is already feminine.) - O portão estava aberto. (The gate was open - blue are the masculine words. Gate is already masculine.)
Yet another fun fact: When we are talking of a plural, and in that plural we have both masculine and feminine members, the masculine stands out (This is actually because the language is mysoginist but forget that for a minute). In english, you have "they", right? In portuguese, not. We have gendered plurals! The most dumbest thing in the word, actually. Eles - plural of "he". If you're talking about a bunch of man, instead of saying, "they", you say "eles". Elas - plural of "she". Talking about a bunch of woman, "elas". So, when we put a woman and a men (pronoun conforming) in a group and talk about them, we don't say, he and she, as we miss the "they". We say "eles", the masculine plural. Because the masculine stands out. That's the rule: if in a plural there's at least one masculine noun, no matter if there are 99 fems, the nominal concordance might be masculine.
One more fun fact: While the word "person" (pessoa) is technically feminine in portuguese, you can use it to refer to people of any gender/pronouns, since it's pretty neutral, after all. Even if you got to use feminine words with it because of nominal concordance.
One more: most colors, even when used as adjectives, don't have gendered variations. Like blue - azul. You can say that a man or a woman are blue (don't ask why) without having to change the word. Some exeptions are red (vermelho/vermelha) and purple (roxo/roxa).

Ok so.
I haven’t done any writing in terms of fanfic for Interstellar as of yet, BUT I do wanna take the chance to do some worldbuilding, bc I love worldbuilding and expanding on canon, which is why I wanna talk about Edmunds (the planet).
We see practically nothing of it in the film, just the short scene at the end where Amelia arrives and buries Wolf, and it’s an extremely powerful and thought provoking last scene, but at the same time it leaves me wanting more from that planet. Clearly it has a breatheable atmosphere with oxygen, meaning it likely has at least some sort of plant life, and we see heavy cloud cover as well, suggesting it has bodies of water somewhere - you can even see water in the background of one of the shots, albeit it’s a very small amount, but enough to be noticeable and make Edmunds more mysterious and intriguing.
Another thing is that we don’t know what type of star Edmunds orbits - it’s clearly stated in the film that it does, instead of orbiting Gargantua like Miller and Mann, and the Wiki article says that this star’s name is Pantagruel (although the link to the star’s page just takes you back to the black hole’s page) - but not much else is said about it in the film, except for the fact that it’s close to Gargantua (about a year’s travel) and is the reason Edmunds is set apart from Miller and Mann - it’s much more likely to be habitable because it orbits a star. I do wanna point out that it’s theoretically possible for life to exist on a planet orbiting a black hole, but it’s thought to be highly unlikely, as lots of specific conditions would need to be present.
So, considering this is really all we know about Edmunds (and Pantagruel), here’s my list of headcanons about the two;
First off, Pantegruel is a B-type main sequence star, meaning it is a very large, bright, blueish-white star emitting light on the blue and ultraviolet spectrums. Edmunds orbits the star just inside the outer edge of the habitable zone, meaning that despite Pantegruel’s intense heat, the planet is relatively cold. Despite this, the poles have little snow, and are instead cold, dry deserts (think most of Mars’ surface for comparison), whereas the equator hosts large grasslands and a few patchy, temperate forests. The area Wolf and Amelia both landed in are nearer to the planet’s North Pole, hence how barren it looks. The planet also has many mountain ranges and a few shallow seas and lakes, but no real oceans.
Due to the color of its star, plant life on Edmunds is typically blue or golden-yellow in color, to best absorb Pantegruel’s specific wavelengths of light. Additionally, most animal life forms have adapted similar color schemes, as well as greys and browns near the poles to blend in with the more rocky terrain. Edmunds is slightly larger than Earth, so most plant and animal life are smaller and stouter than what we’d be used to due to the slightly higher gravity. There are no sentient life forms on Edmunds, besides human colonizers.
Edmunds also has two moons, though one of them appears as more of a small asteroid that got pulled into its orbit. It is the only habitable planet in its system, but there are five planets orbiting Pantagruel in total, Edmunds being the third - the first two are small and rocky, and so close to Pantagruel that they are no more than scorching deserts. The other two, beyond Edmunds, are ice giants like Neptune and Uranus.
The skies of Edmunds are blazing blue throughout the day, and turn vibrant pink and orange with hints of yellow-green at sunset and sunrise. The planet has a much more widespread aurora, which can be seen nearly all the way to the equator. Bioluminescence has yet to evolve on this planet, so at night the only light comes from the moons, which shine almost as bright as Pantegruel during the day. With no light pollution, the stars are clearly visible. Gargantua is also visible at all times, a small shadow looming off in the distance.
Edmunds has had one major extinction event in its history, similar to how the dinosaurs went extinct here on Earth, when the planet was struck by an asteroid that may have caused the formation of its second moon. ~96% of life across the planet was wiped out in this time period, and the extinction is forever marked on Edmunds surface by a colossal impact crater - which is the very spot that Wolf and later Amelia landed in.
This is about all I have for now (I say as I scroll back up and realize I have a small fucking novel’s worth of stuff here 🤣) but this was a fun little rabbit hole to go down (as, like I said, I love worldbuilding lol) and if I ever do write some kind of Interstellar fanfic (which I’m strongly considering bc this movie has me in a deathgrip rn) I’ll definitely be including a lot of this lore 🙃

Midnight's Pack - Magical Animals (part 1)
Fluffie (czech: Chlupáček)
One of the most popular pets of a lot of magical families.
These omnivore mammals appear as about 15 centimeters big, fluffy balls with paws, ears and one short tail. Their eyes are big and glow in the dark. Both the color of their fur and eyes come in different variations.
It also depends on which fluffie do you own, as this species include two subspecies, a Shifting Fluffie and a Grumpy Fluffie - not only are they different in appearance, but in personalities and usage, as well:
Shifting Fluffies (czech: Chlupáčci měňavkovití) are more colorful and eye-catching and their fur can change depending on their mood (their colors include red, orange, yellow, green, turquoise, blue, purple, etc., as well as they sometimes may be naturally multicolored) - the brighter their colors are, the better mood they have. These fluffies are mostly used as classic pets and are especially popular among younger magical species for their usually friendly, playful, active, caring and family-oriented personality.
Grumpy Fluffies (czech: Chlupáčci mrzutí) are less colorful, as the color variations mostly include natural tones (brown, sandy, gold, cream, black, white, gray but also cryptic merle, wolf gray, ginger, tabby, calico, etc.). They’re significantly calmer, very silent and seemingly grumpy, however they're actually family-oriented and caring, like their “cousins”. These fluffies are often used in mental health as animal therapists, as their personalities positively affect a lot of patients with depression, anxiety, paranoia etc.
Some facts about them:
Fluffies live for a pretty long time, about 100 years in the wild and about 320 years as pets.
Fluffies look a little like sea bunnies (Jorunna parva) but they actually share biological and behavior traits with canines, felines and actual bunnies.
Their fur is not only very soft and fluffy, it's also self-cleaning and suitable for allergic individuals.
Fluffies can purr either in shorter intervals and more often or in long intervals and less often - it depends on whether they're playing or trying to calm their owner down.
The two subspecies can breed with each other but the resulting hybrids are 95% infertile.
Fluffies are viviparous and usually have 1 to 4 cubs per year - they usually take care of their offspring for 10 years, then they go find a partner.
Fluffies are also pretty devoted and live with one partner.
Although fluffies are omnivores, you can usually spot them eating some kind of berries.
The Ravenna Hospital, the best-known mental health hospital in my fantasy world, as well as one of the best ones, even breeds the Grumpy Fluffies and then gives them to the patients who need them.
