Recently I went into the DBS fandom wiki to read about the Goku Black/Future Trunks arc, because I haven't watched DBS past the Tournament of Power and the concept of Goku Black intrigued me so much. I'm so glad I didn't waste my time watching the episodes because Jesus
#dbs spoilers in the tags here don't read if you don't wanna know but:#it pisses me off so much that the writers wrote the climax of this arc into such a corner that they had to rely on some deus ex machina bs#like seriously? instead of the gang who's been fighting tooth and fucking NAIL this whole time coming out on top#they have to resort to summoning zeno to clean up their mess#like I get that fuzed zamasu is more powerful than anything they'd faced before but like. the guys almost always deal with that#its fine if the writers wanted to do something different for a change. but maaan not like this#also I Really need to talk about the characterization here for a sec#first off they made chichi such a bitch. like she gets mad at present goku#cause the goku from the future alt timeline or whatever got taken over by zamasu and became goku black and killed chichi and goten#and chichi's mad that goku didn't do his “fatherly duty” and protect goten like???? how COULD he#dude had his body swapped and was then killed by goky black wtf did you want him to DO?#also this is the infamous arc where goku says he doesn't know what a kiss is#you know. present goku. the goku who's been married 20 years with 2 kids.#also there's a scene where the gangs like “boy we really coulda used sone sensu beans right about now. hey goku I thought you had those?”#and goku goes “oops oh silly me! I forgot them here in the current timeline when I went to use the bathroom teehee!!” like DUDE??#I am tearing the DBS writing staff apart with my bare teeth and shaking them around like a chew toy#the only good thing to come out of this arc was the CONCEPT of goku black/evil goku cause that makesme feral#that and also near the end of the arc where goku is working security for mr satan at the world invention conference in West City.#goku with his hair geled back is so fucking CUTE. and he's wearing a suit too?? literally killing me. I am in love with this man#I wanna mess that geled hair up soo badly but also wanna trace my fingers along the hard strands as well. I am unhinged.#I did actually watch that clip of that scene on YouTube because I had to. literally the best thing out of the arc#but thats just the opinion of a crazy person who didn't actually watch the arc#btw I realize fandom wiki sucks ass but the summary about each episode in the entire arc was quite detailed#star scrambles

Hello!
I'm in love with Daishinkan, may I ask you for a headcanon Daishinkan/reader? The reader is a person and friend to Zeno(replaces Goku who trains against Black Goku) and if they knew each other for a couple years, the reader and Daishinkan could have fake dates and "relationships" in front of Goku's team(reader and priest troll the team)? I'm sure Bulma, Chichi and any of the other girls want to see the reader's relationship, but the only thing they see is a sly alien angel who is constantly giving his "mate" little things like cool rocks or something like that
Hi! OMG this is so cute!

In the grand halls of the Omni-King's palace, tranquility reigned supreme. Daishinkan, also known as the Grand Priest, attended to his duties, his serene expression never betraying the chaos that often ensued in the universes under his watch. Yet, even in this order, mischief had a way of sneaking in, especially when a certain human friend of Zeno-sama was involved.
Y/N had found herself in the company of gods and angels, forming a kinda bond with the Omni-King himself. Over the years, she had become a familiar face in the palace, her mortal quirks and humor a refreshing change for the otherwise stoic inhabitants. And it was this very humor that had led her to an unconventional partnership with Daishinkan.
It all started as a joke, a way to pass the time and perhaps add a bit of excitement to the daily routine. The idea was simple: pretend to be in a "relationship" with the Grand Priest and see how long it would take for everyone to catch on. The sheer absurdity of it was too tempting to resist.
Today, Y/N was lounging in Capsule Corp's garden, admiring the landscape that surrounded her. The sudden appearance of a portal and a known energy announced the arrival of her "partner in crime."
"Ah, there you are," Daishinkan greeted, his voice calm as ever. He held out his hand, revealing a collection of sparkling rocks. "I found these during my duties. I thought you might like them."
Y/N couldn't help but smile. "Oh, Daishinkan-sama, you always know how to find the best gifts," she replied, playing along with the act.
Unbeknownst to them both, Bulma, Chichi, and 18 were observing from a distance, their curiosity piqued by the unusual sight. Bulma, ever the skeptic, squinted suspiciously. "Since when did the Grand Priest start giving gifts?"
Chichi, on the other hand, was more intrigued than suspicious. "Do you think they're together?"
"I wouldn't blame Y/N if they were together." 18 said. Which was to be expected if you see her husband.
Before anyone could say anything, Daishinkan turned to Y/N with an almost imperceptible glint of amusement in his eyes. "Shall we take a stroll through Grand Zeno's gardens, my dear?"
"Of course, darling," she replied, standing up from the ground and passing through the portal with Daishinkan's help. The two of them made sure to maintain a respectable distance, the perfect picture of a couple enjoying a leisurely walk.
Back in their hiding spot, Goku, who was also there but didn't notice at first, and his friends were practically buzzing with excitement. "I can't believe it," Goku muttered. "They really do look like a couple."
Bulma smirked. "I have to admit, it would be kinda cute. But we need more proof."
---
Over the next few days, Y/N and Daishinkan continued their charade, each interaction more elaborate than the last. Y/N exchanged playful banter shared meals, and even staged romantic moments under the stars. All the while, her friends watched with growing fascination.
One evening, as the group gathered at Capsule Corp., Bulma couldn't resist bringing up the topic. "So, (Y/N), how's your 'relationship' with the Grand Priest going?"
Y/N fought the urge to laugh, keeping her expression neutral. "Oh, it's wonderful. He even gave me this amazing flower bouquet with flowers from all universes. He's so thoughtful."
Chichi leaned in, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "You have to tell us more! What's he like as a partner?"
"I strive to be attentive to (Y/N)'s needs. It is important to cherish those we care about." A sudden voice startled everyone, Y/N blushed like crazy. What the hell!?
Thing is, he was not present, yet his voice echoed through the place like that of a god.
The room fell silent, everyone processing the Grand Priest's words. For a moment, it seemed as though they might actually believe the ruse.
Then, Goku, ever the oblivious one, spoke up. "I still can't believe it. I mean, you and the Grand Priest? It's just so
 unexpected."
Y/N stared at him while thinking what to say, struggling to keep a straight face. "Love works in mysterious ways," she said with a shrug.
Bulma raised an eyebrow. "Come on, you two. There's got to be more to the story. How did this all start?"
Y/N leaned back, feigning a dreamy expression. "Well, it was a few years ago. I was just wandering around the palace, and Daishinkan noticed I seemed a bit out of place. He offered to show me around, and one thing led to another. We just clicked."
"Indeed. I found (Y/N)'s perspective on life quite refreshing. It is not often that we encounter someone with such a unique view of the universe."
Chi-Chi sighed, clearly enchanted by the story. "That's so sweet. It's like something out of a fairy tale."
Krillin, who had been listening quietly, finally spoke up. "So, do you two have any plans for the future? Any big romantic gestures we should know about?"
Y/N grinned, somehow feeling the smirk on Daishinkan's face "Well, we were thinking of organizing a little event. Something fun for everyone."
Goku's eyes lit up. "An event? Like a tournament?"
Daishinkan chuckled softly. "Not quite, Goku. More like a celebration. A chance for all of us to come together and enjoy each other's company."
As the evening wore on, the topic shifted to other matters, but the seed of curiosity had been planted. Y/N and Daishinkan continued their act, each day bringing new opportunities to playfully "troll" everyone.
---
One afternoon, she found herself in the training grounds of the holy world, or whatever the name is, watching Goku and Vegeta spar. Daishinkan leaned over and whispered, "Shall we give them something to talk about?"
She nodded eagerly. "Absolutely."
As Goku and Vegeta finished their match, Y/N approached them, holding Daishinkan's hand. "You guys were amazing out there! But you know, Daishinkan and I have been practicing some moves of our own."
Vegeta raised an eyebrow. "Oh really? Care to show us?"
Daishinkan smiled serenely. "Perhaps another time. For now, we simply wish to enjoy the spectacle."
Goku, ever the enthusiastic one, clapped his hands. "I can't wait to see that! You two must have some incredible techniques."
As they were leaving, Daishinkan turned to you, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "I believe our little ruse is working quite well."
Y/N laughed, squeezing his hand. "I think so too. And who knows? Maybe we're actually teaching them something about having a bit of fun."
In the end, it wasn't about fooling anyone. It was about the fun of the shared laughter and the unique bond that had formed between them. And who knew? Maybe, just maybe, there was a bit of truth hidden in the jest, a genuine connection that went beyond the playful facade.
As Y/N and Daishinkan shared a knowing smile, she couldn't help but think that, in the grand scheme of things, this was the kind of chaos the universe needed—a reminder that even in the presence of gods, there was always room for a little bit of mischief and a whole lot of fun.

A Relaxing Bath
A gift for @songochiox based on her sweet art
Goku was tired when he came home. He wasn’t physically tired. He was mentally and emotionally burnt out. For three months, he has been on Beerus’ planet. It was exciting at the start, but now it felt like a boring routine. Train. Chores. Train. More chores for a new lesson that felt the same as the previous one. Without the chores, it reminded Goku of his time in Kami’s Temple with Mr. Popo and Kami. It wasn’t as lonely. Vegeta was here. He was a good sparring partner who kept him on his toes but Goku didn’t care for his company now.
He needed to feel the familiar breeze from Mount Paozu. He needed to see his animal neighbors. He needed to see his lovely wife cooking in the kitchen. He needed to see his sons. He needed to listen to Gohan explain about a book he didn’t understand. He needed to sit with Goten playing a video game he didn’t understand. He needed to play with his granddaughter.
He needed to go home.
And that’s what he did. He left Vegeta and Whis in the middle of a morning lesson and teleported to his dark bedroom on Earth.
Oops.
He forgot about the time difference between Beerus’ planet and Earth. The clock by the bed read 2:30 am and his wife was in a peaceful sleep. Goku slipped off his boots quietly, removed his gi and crept to bed. He pulled back the covers, climbed in and snuggled against Chichi’s sleeping form.
“Not tonight, Broly. I’m still exhausted from Vegeta.”
Goku’s eyes popped open. “What?”
It was too dark to see but Goku could feel Chichi’s body shaking in laughter. He wasn’t amused. “Not funny, Chichi.”
“Then why am I laughing? Ow,” she laughed in faux pain feeling Goku’s hand slapping her bottom. “What are you doing here anyway?” Chichi sleepily asked. “It’s almost three.”
Goku thought that was a strange question to ask. “I live here, Chichi. Why were you thinking of Broly?”
“I need some company while you are galivanting in space and Broly’s
.”
“Cute?” Goku finished for Chichi.
“I was gonna say Broly, Vegeta and Piccolo are great company when you are away but Broly is cute.” Chichi expected Goku to make a comment saying that wasn’t funny and give her another playful slap on her backside before being smothered by his kisses with Goku showing Chichi she will never entertain Broly, Vegeta and Piccolo while heïżœïżœs away but when Goku didn’t respond, Chichi reached for the lamp to turn it on and roll over to face her husband. He was frowning. He looked cute and she would tell him that if she didn’t know he was angry.
“Does it bother you I said that? I was kidding.”
“I know, but I don’t like it. I don’t like you think Broly’s cute.”
Chichi didn’t laugh but she did smile. I can’t believe he remembers that. It was over two years since Goku brought Broly home for a visit. He wanted to show the Saiyan what Earth was like since during his last visit, he nearly destroyed it in rage. Broly stayed with Goku and Chichi where she fed both men and was impressed with Broly’s appetite. It was bigger than Goku’s. He was also very naïve, more naïve than Goku. He asked Chichi many questions that amused her and listened intently to Goku and followed his words as he considered Goku more knowledgeable and experienced than him.
“I didn’t mean anything by it.”
“You never said Vegeta’s cute,” he accused her. “You never said anyone’s cute except me.”
Chichi could see a man and think he’s attractive but never openly say it. Saying one is attractive didn’t mean she wanted them. Her thoughts of Broly’s looks were a compliment and nothing more. “Maybe I thought he’s cute because he reminds me of you. He’s naïve and very strong and his eagerness to learn new things is cute and sweet like you when we married.”
That didn’t satisfy Goku. “You make it sound like I’m still not cute and sweet.”
“You are and you’ll always will be cute.” His pout was so cute. The way his brows furrowed was cute. She kissed him. “Don’t you believe me?”
“I do.” He really did and he never worried about Chichi’s faithfulness to him but he couldn’t explain why he was acting this way.
“You’re very wound up.” Chichi caressed his face. “Are you ready to tell me what happened on Beerus’ planet?”
Was that what was bothering him? Maybe it was.
“I’m fine.”
He didn’t look fine. He looked sullen. “You are early. You normally come home when it’s lunch or dinner and another month from now. Did Whis hit you with his stick again?” Goku shook his head. “Did Vegeta almost beat you?”
“No.” Goku laid his head against Chichi’s breasts. “I just wanna be home, Chichi.”
“You are home, Goku.” Chichi tenderly stroked Goku’s hair. “And
.” she sniffed, “you need a shower.”
Goku opened his eyes. He raised his arm and smelled himself. “I don’t stink.”
Chichi grabbed Goku’s hand and pulled him out of bed with her. “Yes, you do.” She led Goku to the bathroom. “Let’s get you cleaned up.”
Goku sniffed himself again. “But I don’t stink.”
Chichi flipped on the bathroom lights. “Did you leave in the middle of training?”
“Yeah.”
“You stink.” Chichi turned on the shower. “And you climbed your dirty body in bed with me.” Chichi tutted and slapped Goku on his bottom. “Get undressed.”
Chichi accusing him of climbing in bed dirty should make her angry but Chichi smiled at him and the smack on his bottom felt playful. Was she in the mood? If she wanted it, Goku was ready to give it to her but something told him that wasn’t on Chichi’s mind. He pushed his boxers down his legs. “Ain’t you sleepy?”
Chichi was leaning over the bathtub as it filled with water. He saw her reaching for her special lavender bath oil only meant for her to use but it was clear she would be using it on him. “Not anymore.” She smiled at him. “Go clean up.”
“You don’t mind?” Goku knew how Chichi wanted her to sleep.
“I don’t mind.” She kissed him. “Take your shower and I’ll get the bath ready.”
Goku smiled as he knew Chichi understood. When he came home from Beerus’ planet or on a galactic space adventure with Vegeta, all Goku wanted was to be with Chichi. His first mornings home always had him and Chichi relaxing in the bath together with him sharing what he did apart from her and Chichi sharing what he missed with the family. He took his shower and rinsed off any dirt he accumulated during the morning spar. When he stepped out, the bathtub was filled with hot water and his lovely wife sat on the marble naked and rubbing lavender oil on her body.
“I’m done. Wanna smell me?”
“Maybe later.” Chichi rubbed oil on her hands, warming them before massaging the warm oil onto Goku’s back and shoulders. “How does that feel?”
“I hate it.” He laughed at Chichi’s playful smack on his bottom. Her nimble hands moved to his front massaging his chest. He missed these wonderous hands stroking him. He expected Chichi to go lower and grab a part of him that missed her terribly over the months but when she pulled away and said, “Let’s get in,” Goku turned to her expectantly.
“What is it, Goku?” Her voice was innocent but her eyes were playful. “Was I supposed to rub somewhere else?”
Oh, she knew and he knew that she knew. He’ll get her for that later when they are wrestling between the sheets and she’s begging for it, but for now, he will go along with Chichi’s playful mood. “Nothing.”
Chichi was going to get in first so she could lean against the tub and continue to massage Goku but Goku stopped her and got in first. “What are you up to?” Chichi got in and settled herself behind Goku.
Goku dipped his hands in the hot water before pouring some on Chichi’s back and shoulders. “Just wanna massage you like you massaged me.”
Chichi released a soft moan as Goku worked her shoulders and back with his strong fingers. Oh, she would pamper him with food and massages but Goku touched her, too. Days after Goku returned, Chichi would wake up to feel Goku snuggled up to her. Sometimes she would lie with Goku and talk as his hands touched her body. He never spoke. He listened to Chichi and touched her over and over. She never questioned why he did this. She knew it was something Goku needed to do after being away for so long.
“How was your training on Beerus’ planet?”
“Fine.”
Oh, that was a signal something was wrong. Training on Beerus’ planet was never fine. Goku had many thoughts about the training from complaining about the chores Whis made him do to sharing how excited he felt about his growth.
“How were things here?”
Goku’s question caught Chichi off guard. Most times he didn’t ask and assume things were fine while she informed him of what he missed. “Pan’s having her Kindergarten graduation in two weeks. Mark is hosting a big party for it. Videl’s trying to talk her father into something simple but you know how he is. I remember the party he had for Videl’s high school graduation. There were more of his friends than Videl’s. She remembered how her Dad used the party for a business thing. She doesn’t want the same for Pan.”
“How about Gohan and Goten?”
“Gohan has a big seminar he’s preparing for. Goten has a school dance.” Chichi laughed as she recalled Gohan’s first school dance. “I remember Gohan being so nervous about it with Videl. Goten is very calm about it. He’s happy to be going stag while Trunks is worried about having a date.”
Goten being in high school was surreal for Goku. “I can’t believe Goten’s in high school. I still remember him as this little boy so happy to have a Daddy.”
“Our little boy’s growing up.” Chichi was happy about it. She was even happier Goku was around to see it but something in Goku’s voice signaled to Chichi what might be troubling her husband. “What bothered you on Beerus’ planet?”
Chichi always knew when something bothered him; really bothered him. He couldn’t always hide it and when Chichi pressed him, he eventually gave in.
Your burden is my burden Chichi once told him. Share with me she’ll always say when she wanted Goku to unload on her emotionally.
“I don’t know. I was on Beerus’s planet for another lesson when I realized I had this lesson before. A lot of my lessons have been repetitive. I’ve been there for three months doing the same thing. I was getting bored.”
“It’s not the first time,” Chichi told him. “You always came back when you got bored. What’s different now?”
The fact it was getting to him and things were changing beyond his control. When Goku returned home after months away, Goten still looked like the child he first saw after he returned from being dead. Pan was a baby. Now after being away for months, Goten and Pan always looked different when he returned. They were growing up and apart from him. When he returned last time, Goten didn’t want to spar with him. He was into his video game. Pan wanted to train with him but it wasn’t the same.
“What’s going on with you, Chichi?”
He was deflecting. Chichi knew that but gave him what he wanted in hopes Goku will confess his troubles to her.
“I’ve taken on more responsibilities from Dad’s kingdom so you’re lucky you caught me home tonight. Tomorrow, I will be spending a few days at Dad’s kingdom.”
Chichi has been his constant support and the one thing in his life who hasn’t change. She has taken on more responsibilities of her father’s kingdom but when he returned home, she was there. When he needed her, she was there. Goku wanted to be there for Chichi.
“How is your Pops?”
“Better than last month. He’s listening to his doctors to slow down but Dad still thinks he’s that big, formidable Ox he used to be.”
Goku remembered that formidable Ox from his childhood. He was so big and intimidating but Goku didn’t let Gyumao’s size deter him. He’s always been strong. He was always there for Chichi, Gohan, and Goten when he wasn’t. Goku admired Gyumao but even Goku noticed Gyumao lost a step over the years. He’s gotten slimmer and lost a lot of muscle. He couldn’t pick up that massive ax of his. When Goku saw him during the last visit, Goku was taken aback at how much older he looked.
“I never thought your Dad would get old.”
“We all are except you and your Saiyan blood.” Chichi didn’t speak it out of jealousy or anger. It was acceptance. Oh, she worried about aging faster than Goku but Goku always showed her she was the one he will always want. It was also an unexpected ego boost to Chichi to walk with Goku by her side where eyes were envious of her catching a younger-looking man.
That unexpected envy also brought Chichi unexpected attention from younger men. She ignored and rejected their advances. It brought out laughs from Goku when he saw the men, and while Goku knew Chichi could handle them, sometimes he did step in when he felt a guy going too far with his pursuits.
“Dad is getting old and I want to be there for him.”
And Goku wanted to be there for Chichi.  “I’ll come and stay with you.” Goku offered.
Chichi imagined Goku sitting in a meeting with her. Five minutes in and Goku will be spending his chair bored. “The meetings will be boring, Goku.”
“I can visit Aki when you have those meetings and then I can come home to you.” He rested his chin on Chichi’s wet shoulder and hugged her body to his. “I just wanna be where you are, Chichi. I just wanna be home.”
The softness in Goku’s voice caused Chichi to shift in the tub. She saw the sincerity in his eyes, smiled and rested against him. She understood what was troubling him. “Are you done?” Chichi asked hopeful. “I can’t expect you to stay home all day but
...” She knew Goku couldn’t. Not this Goku. The Goku before he learned his past could but not the one who embraced the blood of the Saiyan flowing in him.
Goku knew something will happen in the future to cause his departure. That’s how things seem to be but right now, he wanted to be home. “I just wanna be home with you
Gohan, Goten and Pan. I don’t want to miss any more moments.”
And Chichi wanted that, too. Oh, she didn’t like it when Goku left to train on Beerus’ planet or that short stint he was part of the Galactic Patrol but she knew that’s what Goku wanted and needed. He wouldn’t be happy if forced to stay home all the time when there’s a chance for him to get stronger and be the best warrior he can be. Chichi knew she had to let Goku leave and come home on his terms. As much as she hated to see him leave, Chichi knew Goku’ll always come back to her.
Content, Chichi relaxed in her husband's arms; happy his adventures were over for the foreseeable future; happy Goku wanted to stay home with her and their family. “Welcome home, Goku.”

Character: Chichi
Reader: Female Reader
Warnings: Harsh language, Fluff laced with slight angst

A/n: Hi I love Chichi so much so I wanted to make this fic about her! I hope you can enjoy it!
______________________________________________________________
The sound of an alarm filled your ears, causing you to let out a small groan as you slowly opened your eyes, grimacing at the bright rays of sun that filled the room of your small apartment. You reach over towards your nightstand to smack the off button before rubbing what sleep remained in your eyes. 'I guess I should start getting ready.' With a tired sigh, you sat up from the comfort of your bed, kicking the blankets off before heading towards your bathroom to start the day. After getting yourself ready and eating breakfast, the phone rang, causing you to stumble around the corner to answer.
"Hello, Y/L/N residence." You answered automatically. A familiar laugh sounded on the other end, causing a soft smile to grace your lips, eyes softening at the beautiful melody. "You sound like you just ran towards the phone, Y/n! How often have I told you that the call won't stop after just one ring?!" You just hummed, leaning your head against the doorframe. "What can I say, Chichi? I'm quick to act." You joked, a small laugh slipping past your lips. Chichi huffs on the other end. You can picture her form standing there, probably cleaning her hands with an apron as she shakes her head with a frown. "I swear I surround myself with impatient people!" She complains, causing your laugh to echo off the walls.
You and Chichi have been friends ever since you were children. The two of you had met during your first day of school when she had smacked a boy who had been picking on you for not having that big of a lunch. Since that day, you two were always seen with each other, your bond closer than anyone's. You were even her maid of honor for her marriage to Goku, that day being one of the happiest yet most painful days of your life.
"Anyways, I was calling to see if you could arrive three hours early for Goten's party! I'm a little behind on preparations, and the boys won't be home until the party starts!" Chichi spoke, her voice hopeful and bright, but after having known her for so many years, you can catch how tired she is. "Of course, I can head over there now if you'd like." You say, glancing at your watch. "Really?! You're my knight in shining armor, Y/n!" The woman cheers, causing a smile to form on your lips, accompanied by a slight blush. "I'll see you in thirty minutes." And with that, you hang up the phone, letting out a small sigh. "Once again, it's me to the rescue." You muttered while glancing at the picture frame by your front door.
The picture consisted of the married couple with you and Krillen next to them, all of you with bright smiles on your faces. You make sure to grab Goten's present, your keys, and anything else you need before putting on your shoes and exiting the small apartment. You hop onto your motorcycle and head towards your friend's home in the woods. 'How long have I been having to help Chichi out? Since their marriage? Or was it since Gohan's birth?' You shake your head at the thought, letting out a deep sigh. You held nothing against the Saiyan warrior, at least not anymore; you became terrific friends from the moment you met. However, there was one small problem. One that no one would ever know about so long as you lived. You loved Chichi. You don't know when those feelings of friendship blossomed into more, but you knew that it would never happen between the two of you as her heart became Goku's the moment they met.
Because of this, you couldn't help but hate him at first. You hated him always putting training and fighting before his wife and kids. You hated the days when Chichi would call you up or even show up to your place crying for her husband on the days he died from whatever danger there had been. You hated how his adorable sons had to grow up or go some of their lives without their dad. It drove you mad before, but now you see it as a regular occurrence. Chichi always told you that even though she had married an idiotic fool, she wouldn't take it back and always held such love in her eyes whenever she would talk about her husband. Because of this, you gave up on that hatred for Goku and focused on giving Chichi and the boys any support they needed.
Before you realize it, you're parking your bike in front of the small and quiet home. You turn your bike off, taking off your helmet with a satisfied sigh. “Y/n!!!” Chichi cheered, waving her hand as she ran from her home towards you. You look at her and smile, jumping off the bike and picking her up in your arms as you spin her around, causing her to laugh at your actions. "Haha! Y/n, it's so good to see you! It's been a while!" She laughed as you carefully put her down. "About three months since I've been here." You admitted while grabbing your things, following her into the home you had become all too familiar with. "So, where is everyone?" You ask, placing your things down while Chichi takes your jacket.
"Gohan is at home with Videl and Pan, Dad is out getting some last-minute things, and Goku took Goten to Bulma's so we can surprise him!" She said, making her way into the kitchen. You hum, nodding your head in response as you join her. "I see. No wonder you needed to call me in." You joked, causing Chichi to elbow you in the gut lightly. "Oh, cut it out, Y/n! You know you're always welcome to come over without having to help with anything!" She scoffs before the two of you get to work in the kitchen, finishing up some of the food. You listen as Chichi complains about how Goten is just like his father and neither of her kids ever wanted to study. This was the usual whenever you were around her. You just smiled, listening to every word, engraving it into your mind.
You loved how passionate Chichi got over her boys and how she only wanted excellent and prosperous lives for them all. "You're a good mother and wife, Chichi." The words slip out of your mouth before your brain can process them. Chichi stopped her rant and looked at you with that gorgeous smile you loved so much plastered across her face. "Haha! You think? Sometimes, I wonder if those boys think differently." She confessed, leaning against the counter while looking out in thought. You watched her silently, wanting to reach out and wrap your arms around her. Tell her she's perfect, strong, beautiful, intelligent, hard-working, but you know better. You know that if you were to do that, you would never be able to get over your love for her, so you remain strong, knowing that it's best for all of you. With a sigh, Chichi jumps up, smacking her cheeks with her hands, causing you to jump, looking at her surprised.
She shakes her head before smiling once again. "Enough of that! Come on, it's almost time!" She laughed, pulling you towards the living room, where the two of you set everything up. "Chichi! I'm back!" You heard her father call. "Hello Ox-King! It's been a while!" You greet the older man in the doorway, watching as a giant smile crosses his face. "Why if it isn't Y/n! It's been a while; come here, sweetheart!" He laughed, pulling you into a tight hug. You laughed lightly, hitting his chest. "Come now! You'll break my ribs if you hug me that tight!" You joked with both of you laughing. Chichi poked her head around the corner curiously before smiling.
"Oh good, you're back! Hurry, everyone will be here soon!" She rushed, pushing both of you further into the house. You roll your eyes at her. "Now look who's impatient." This, of course, earned you a smack to the head.
You watched as everyone started to show up for the party, each greeting you, wanting to catch up after not seeing you in months. You smile and greet everyone before your eyes land on Gohan arriving with his family. "Is that my little Pan?!?!" You cry out, causing the little girl to smile, holding her arms out as she squeals for you. “Y/n!” You scoop her up, nuzzling your nose into her cheek, causing her to laugh. Gohan looks at you and smiles. "It's so good to see you again, Y/n-san. Have you been well?" he asks, touching your shoulder. "I've been good, thank you. Work has been a little busy, though, so I haven't been able to see everyone lately." You confessed, body slumping in defeat. Gohan laughs, tossing his head back as he pats your shoulder. "I see! I see! That's such a relief!" He laughed, causing you to look at him curiously.
Gohan motioned for you to lean closer, which you did as he went and whispered into your ear. "Mom was worried that she did something to upset you, and that's why you hadn't been stopping by." Your eyes went wide at this as you looked at him in shock. "Mom cares about you, Y/n-san." He genuinely smiles as he ruffles your hair as if forgetting you are way older than him. "We all do!" With that, you smiled, nodding before walking back with him. Pan was rambling about something she did at school while you listened to her humming each time she said something that would require a response.
Soon, Goku and Goten arrived, causing Chichi to shush everyone quickly as she prepared to surprise her youngest son. The doors opened, and everyone yelled surprise at the young boy who stood there in utter shock. Goku laughed, asking if his son was shocked. You watched as Goten smiled, thanking everyone as the party started. You walked around talking to many people, enjoying catching up with those you had considered close friends. "Hey, Y/n!" You felt a tap on your shoulder, causing you to stop your conversation with Bulma. You looked to see Goku standing there with a piece of meat in his hand as he flashed his signature smile, giving you a small wave. "It's been a while! How's it been?!" He asked enthusiastically. You turned to Bulma, excusing yourself, to which she just smiled, nodding her head before walking away. "Hello, Goku! I see you're stuffing your face as usual!" You laugh, going and hitting him in the stomach. He laughs, scratching the back of his head shyly.
"I haven't seen you since I returned to earth. Has everything been okay? Do you have a boyfriend yet?" He teased, wiggling his eyebrows at you. This earned a glare as you held your first up vein popping on the side of your head. "Watch it or I'll beat you." You growled, causing the Saiyan to laugh as he apologized while smacking you on the shoulder. "I'm kidding! Kidding! It's just really good to see you! You should stop by more!" He laughed before taking a bite out of the meat in his hand. "And you need to stop dying on everyone!" You scolded, stepping on his foot and causing him to whine. This was the usual relationship between you and Goku. He would tease you with stupid words or pranks, and you would scold him while beating him up.
Goku scratches the back of his head, laughing nervously. "Oh, come on, Y/n, it's not like I do it on purpose." You felt your eye twitch as you crossed your arms, letting out a deep, frustrated sigh. "I understand that Goku, I do." You trailed off momentarily before looking up at him, eyes locking. "But you don't always have to be the world's hero. You can also be a hero for your family, ya know?" You sighed, defeated. Goku just smiled, his eyes filling with care and appreciation as he ruffled your hair like Gohan had done earlier. "You know me, Y/n, I can't help it." Before bending down to your height, he confessed, causing you to get irritated, but you knew it was so that he could whisper something to you.
"Thank you for caring for my family when I fail to Y/n. You've always been there for us, and I do appreciate it. So, whenever you need something, don't feel like you have to do it alone, okay? Just call one of us, and we'll be there!" He laughed. You just looked at him in awe, not expecting such words from Goku. From the moment you met the man, he was a complete idiot, and you told Chichi that when she first introduced the two of you. You shake that off and give a small smile. "Thank you, Goku." He smiled before running over to Vegeta, sitting away from everyone, looking annoyed.
As the party progressed, you sat away from everyone, tired of the day's activities. 'I should probably head back soon
Chichi seems busy, and I haven't been getting proper rest.' You thought while scanning over everyone. Eventually, your eyes land on Chichi, standing with her family, watching Goten go through his gifts with pure joy. You just stared at her, your chest and mind swirling with emotions before pinching the bridge of your nose and squeezing your eyes shut. 'Dammit
maybe I should try dating.' You mentally cursed a frown on your face.
This didn't go unnoticed as Chichi glanced over the crowd, her eyes landing on your tired form, taking in the frown on your face. She frowns at this, quietly excusing herself as she makes her way over to you.
"Y/n? Is everything okay?" Her sudden voice snapped you out of your thoughts as you looked at her internally, wincing as you took in her worried look. You pushed away all your thoughts and feelings as you looked at her, a soft smile replacing the frown on your face. "Hey! Everything's fine; I'm just a bit tired, is all." You hated not telling Chichi the truth, but you knew it was for the best. Chichi frowned at this as she leaned closer, her face inches from yours, causing a blush to appear as you avoided eye contact with her. "W-what is it? Do I have something on my face?" You asked nervously. Chichi doesn't say anything for a minute before she goes and flicks you in the middle of the forehead.
"Ouch! What was that for?!" You cried, rubbing the now irritated skin. "You need to take better care of yourself, Y/n! I swear, ever since we were kids, you never had a proper schedule or even a routine!" She scolded, pointing a finger at you. Surprised, you just looked at her as she went on a scolding spree, crossing her arms. "Honestly, how much longer am I going to have to take care of you?" She sighed, shaking her head. You soon smile as you go and wrap your arms around her shoulders, laughing as you poke one of her puffed-out cheeks. "Oh come on Chichi! I'm perfectly fine! Look, see?! My skin is as clear as day and my health couldn't improve!" You teased a sly smile on your face.
Chichi shot you an annoyed glance as she went and pinched your hand, causing you to whine as you tried to free yourself. "Hey! What was that for?!" You yelled lightly, pulling on her hair. "Ouch! Y/n, why you!" Before anyone could process what was happening a few feet away, you and Chichi were on the ground fighting with each other.
"Mom?! Y/n-san?!" Gohan yelled, surprised, not understanding what happened to cause this. Everyone watched in surprise while Goku laughed, walking towards the two women. "It's just like old times!" He cheered while separating the two of you, holding you both by the backs of your shirts. "She started it!" You both yelled, pointing at the other. Goku just laughed, rolling his eyes at the two. "Come on, girls! You two are too old to be fighting like that anymore." He laughed, causing everyone to go silent as a cold breeze passed, sending shivers throughout everyone's body.
You and Chichi looked at each other, faces blank as you nodded in agreement, causing the warrior to look between the two confused. "Eh? Did I say something wrong?" He questioned. You and Chichi just smiled before tackling Goku to the ground, earning a cry from him while everyone else laughed as they watched the two women tickle the Saiyan, who flailed around on the ground, begging for them to stop. You both just laughed, holding your stomachs in pain, tears in your eyes. You look over at Chichi, watching her beautiful smile fill your heart with pure bliss. You smile, a slight blush on your cheeks as you take her hand, causing her to look at you with a toothy grin as you help each other up.
'Chichi
even though we can't be anything more than friends in this lifetime.' You think as she pulls you towards everyone, her hand gripping your own with her delicate skin. She looks back at you, that excited glint of life in her eyes. "Come on Y/n I made sure to save you some cake!" She laughed as you smiled, running past her hand still in hers. "In that case let's hurry up!" You laughed, wanting to beat the Saiyan men to the last piece of cake that Chichi spent hours making.
'I'll always be with you
loving every second we spend together.'

(I am so sad about it honestly). But I am going through all my old accounts posts and reuploading them here! I hope you can still enjoy my works!
See when Goku died the second time it was such a morose and sensitive time and Chichi was due for another baby and there was just no room for negativity any more. It was sad and quiet and sweet and bittersweet and careful. She had a new beautiful baby boy and Gohan had a new baby brother.
It was a time of gentle healing. There was relief in the peace.
Because of that I'm very interested in the time when suddenly Goten was old enough that Chichi saw it fit to start beating him. It's been years and the tone of the house has been studious and sensitive, and the new baby has been such a blessing that no one has ever gotten THAT mad about anything lately. Chichi has not used the iron skillet on Gohan in this time, though there were a few times where Gohan felt it would be threatened - but mostly, he felt that he was old enough that that wasnt gonna happen anymore. He felt some sense of satisfaction at his own strength, and that the peace was earned. This house is an emotionally sensitive and intelligent one now.
But chichi is maligned and it's going to come out somehow. When Goten gets to be about 6, Chichi stops being comforted by his babyness and her patience starts to wear thin with him. It starts being ok to slap him, for some reason.
And I just imagine the SICK HORROR that Gohan would feel, in his bedroom, doing his schoolwork like a good boy, when he can hear his mother's tone go sharp in the other room, and then the unmistakable CRACK of a slap to the face. It's defintiely not her strongest, but it stings on babyfat.
The way Gohan's heart would SINK ... he would feel so sick immediately.. It's as if that behavior never left their house, and he's responding in an uncapped adverse way as if he's still young hinself - but unlike when he was young, he's lost the defensive emotional wall regarding it that would have spared him the embarrassment of tears. His defenses have disintegrated with disuse and the panic and pain and sickened SADNESS of hearing that from the other room is suddenly intolerable.
He would act but he knows that theres nothing he could say to get through to Chichi .. and he knows that he cant talk back to his mother. He has too much empathy for her at this present time, so while he DOES hurry out into the room and take Goten into his protective arms and beg their mom to not do that, to beseech how COULD she do that?, to remind her of their saddened circumstances, and to ultimately startle her by the way he's trembling and his voice in a pre-tears wounded cadence, he does not blame her like he should. He knows shes stressed.
Not much can really be done about Chichi so Gohan just tries to keep Goten close, and to specifically encourage him to leave the room with him whenever Gohan starts to sense that Chichi is operating on one nerve only. But who knows what is free to transpire when Gohan isnt around.
Chichi does try to train Goten a little bit, and gives up immediately + dissolves to tears when he goes super saiyan. I dont imagine this rejection by his mother felt good to Goten. And he does learn to fight over at Capsule Corp, but it's a completely different environment and circumstance than when Chichi cracks the wooden spoon over his head.
There is one time where Goten, as he learns about the world, wonders why there is a difference. And there's a day where he catches the spoon before it makes it to his head. As he and Chichi stare at the spoon, frozen in its trajectory, Goten doesnt know exactly what this means yet. He feels a bit shy at the defiance, and a lot of pride at having defended his organism - but then his mother mobilizes in a response of pure shock, fear, and pain. She starts to cry and it's clear she feels betrayed. It's clear he's in trouble. And Goten then is overwhelmed with the new knowledge that - oh, oh no, I'm not suppsoed to do that, I'm not suppsoed to dishonor my mother by getting in her way and going against her will, look at how upset I've made her, look at how much she doesnt love me right now! I've committed a grave defilement of our honor! I've lost her love!
So naturally he never does that again.
I've written about this before but it was only briefly + in the middle of a 6600 word post about GT Trunks, so I'll summarize to the best of my memory: Goten, as his mother's baby boy and saving grace, as her only source of happiness and salvation, as her only source of purity, and as a male who is always told how much he looks like his father (by whom she has taken pain from), feels personally responsible for his mother's emotionally state and feels BEYOND ABYSMAL whenever he feels that he has besmirched her. This is a response to a wound of early childhood and is a moodstate that is out of context in our present time, but is just as persuasive. He feels inconsolably depressed at these times because it's the feeling a baby would have when it got the sense that its mother didnt love it.
He's a happy guy otherwise and he'll go through life being so true to hinself UNTIL he's suddenly down. He's a martial artist + so in-tuned with hinself and his authenticity and his organism's natural healing resources so the effect isnt as PERVASIVE or ENDURING as it could be, but still detrimental.
He'll walk around on GT being a slag and playfully going against his mother's wishes for the priority of authenticity, but if his mother actuslly shed tears or expressed real distress that he's not making any real commitments or efforts toward marriage, then he would get down on his knees on the floor next to her chair and gently grip the arm that Chichi is using to cover her tears and he would promise her, promise her, promise her that he'll do better. As an old wound, he CAN NOT and WILL NOT end up like the father that everyone says he looks like, whose absence he has seen cause his mother irreparable misery and stress over the years. He'll be a good son and a better husband than his father ever was. He looks up a lot to Goku of course but in these moments, it's just between him and his mother, and he just wants to soothe her as he was able to do when he was a sweet baby boy and earn her love. He'll give her a good daughter-in-law and grandkids like she wants.
Goten is a wild man and he loves being himself BUT at times like this he takes a MASSIVE HIT regarding his percieved loss of purity. He knows love and pleasure and sincerity and beauty when he sees it, but at these times and in this moodstate, he feels like he deserves to die for all the pretty women's hands he has held and not honored through marriage. When in his frat years Kinto-Un temporarily rejected him on account of his shitting in one too many urinals, that triggered one of those episodes and he was AWOL for a short while.
Obviously this is clearly fucked. Chichi has made her baby boy responsible for her emotions, becasue she evidently cant moderate/regulate them on her own, when in parenting it's suppsoed to be the other way around. Though I know she loves and is loyal to her family so deeply, she has conducted herself in a manner that has colored her love as conditional and equaling to her satisfaction in her child. She is reactive and explosive and temperamental. She is emotionally immature. Why. I feel like she had a fine dad so why is she like this
Gohan knows this about her and he just sort of .. moves out about it. He takes refuge in his work. He starts his own family. He lets Goten visit as much as he wants. Gohan of course loves his mother and feels responsible for her in the way that one with a sensitive and elderly mother would, and he really does want her to be happy, but he also shuts down a lot of her behaviors and a lot of his responses to her emotions for the sake of his own wellbeing. But he also avoids the topic of her insanity and will not read any books that could explain her behavior or help him to heal, he just hyperfocuses on bugs and disassociates from himself to get by. Whatever
The only one who could ever tame ms Chichi BTW was Piccolo becasue he brought her much-needed peace and security.
Ms Chichi everyone

Well well well..... who do we have here?
Hi guys, long time no see!
I was digging around in my pretty much abandoned PC just now, and I came across some writing which I thought deserved to see the light of day.
Its the prologue to my one-day-hope-to-finish Future Trunks Timeline K/18 love story called ‘Behind Enemy Lines’. It really is a very good story but I would never publish it as is because there is no promise I can ever finish it, because my life is bonkers.
But this is the short prologue, in it Goku is dying of the heart virus. It is completly unedited, I just found it in a folder like this, but I think it’s a pretty nice piece of writing.
Anyway, here it is, enjoy!
----------------
For a moment, it was as if the entire world had ceased to exist. All that there was, was her, and blackness. Clocks didn’t tick because there was no time, no way to tell if a second had passed or an eon. Was this shock? She wasn’t sure, but whatever it was, it was sucking the life out of her. She felt lightheaded; her mind was separating itself from her body, as if it had decided that it didn’t want to be a part of this reality anymore, and it was going to go somewhere new, some place far away. Someplace better.
ïżœïżœGood’ she thought, encouraging the process, ‘get me the hell out of here.’
She smiled as she felt the blackness close in around her, and she too, ceased to exist for a moment.
“Chichi!” Krillin leapt to action as he watched his friends legs give out on her. The whole thing seemed to happen in slow motion as he lunged forward to catch her before the floor did. Gently, he laid her down as the professionals in the room stepped in and calmly went about the business of bringing her back.
Taking a step back, Krillin wrapped an arm around the shoulders of a thoroughly overwhelmed Gohan and gave him what he could only hope was a reassuring squeeze. The two watched silently as the scene unfolded before them.
“It’s a funny thing, shock,” the doctor said, with a smile of all things, as he pressed a cold compress to Chichi’s forehead, “everyone always reacts a little bit differently. There’s no predicting it.”
“Hmpf.” Sinking back down into his chair, Krillin rubbed at his red, tired eyes. It had been weeks since he had last slept for more than a few hours without interruption. Groggily, he watched as Chichi slowly woke up and was helped back into the chair between his own and Gohan’s.
Together, they turned their gaze to the fourth member of their group, who had remained as still as a statue throughout the whole commotion. None of them knew what to say or do next, this was foreign territory, something that until recently had been assumed to be a total impossibility.
“Are you sure?” Chichi asked meekly, as her thoughts started to return, “Is there anything left to try? Anything at all?”
Krillin, already anticipating the response, reached over and took his friends hand in his, squeezing it for reassurance, though whether it was for her or himself, he wasn’t sure.
“I’m sorry, Mrs Son,” the doctor said grimly, “There is nothing more we can do.”
“What about transplant?” Krillins voice cracked as he tried desperately not to let go of his last shred of hope. “The virus is in his heart right? Can’t you just
” he paused. They’d discussed this, he already knew the answer, “give him a new heart?”
Beside him, Chichi began to sob. Her strength throughout this whole ordeal had been monumental, but even she had her limits. The doctor passed her a box of tissues and she took a moment to compose herself, dabbing the tears away from her eyes. Now was not the time to be weak. Her son was going to need her more than ever over the coming days and weeks, and she would be strong for him.
“What happens now?” she asked, bravely.
Before he replied, the doctor took a moment to look over his notes, this part of his job never got any easier. “We’ll make him comfortable,” he began, “like we discussed, the virus has started to eat away at the pericardial tissue; that is, the sack that surround his heart. The more it erodes, the more his heart is going to struggle to beat, until it stops. We’ll do everything we can to make it as painless as possible for him. I’m so sorry Mrs Son, I’m so sorry we couldn’t do more for your husband.”
“How long has he got?”
The doctor sighed. “A day, two at most.”
---
Bulma anxiously played with her wedding ring, twisting and twirling it around her finger. It was a nervous habit, one she had tried more than once to break after she had noticed diamonds missing from the band, but now was not the time for that. She let herself spin the ring endlessly as she watched the seconds tick by on her watch
How could this be? How could Goku, of all people, be brought down by a stupid virus? At first she had refused to believe it, it wasn’t possible, not Goku. He was a Super Saiyan, had defeated Frieza singlehandedly, he was the very definition of the word hero. This wasn’t a hero’s fate.
Beside her, on the small, hard couch, Trunks, her precious only son had finally drifted off to sleep. Pushing herself up out of the awkward, half slumped over position she had slid into, Bulma stood up and stretched all the cricks out of her body. Master Roshi and Oolong slept huddled up in the corner together, snoring loudly, and she knew that Chichi and Gohan were in with Goku, but where were the others?
She found them, despite the fact that it was two-thirty in the morning, and well below zero degrees, quietly chatting amongst themselves in the front yard of the home. Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, Piccolo, they were all huddled in a circle, all looking very sombre. Even her husband, Vegeta was there, though as usual he had refused to integrate himself fully into the group and was standing just off to the side, by himself.
Her breath turned to fog as it hit the cold night air, and snow crunched beneath her feet as she made room for herself in the circle between Yamcha and Tien.
“What about the dragonballs?” Yamcha asked. They all knew the answer, but they were desperate.
“Won’t work,” Tien replied, scuffing his boot into the dirty snow, “Shenron can’t reverse illness. It’s not in his power.”
“What about new dragonballs?” Bulma suddenly felt a glimmer of hope pulse through her, but it was just as quickly shot down by Piccolo.
“It’s not that simple,” he said, “and it takes time, which is something we just don’t have right now.”
Bulma’s shoulders slumped in defeat. “So we’re all out of options then?” she asked.
“We’re all outta options,” Krillin echoed.
--- If there was one thing that Goku was, above all else, he was a fighter. Despite the doctors initial prognosis of forty-eight hours, he had managed to hold on for four more days, ensuring that everyone had the time to say their goodbyes to the legendary Saiyan.
Still, that didn’t make it any easier when the moment arrived. True to his word, the kind doctor had kept his patient comfortable as his condition deteriorated, and it wasn’t until the final few hours that Goku had begun to show signs of distress. He was unconscious, of course, but the machines and monitors that he was hooked up to spoke a different story. His blood pressure began to rise as his heart had to work harder and harder for every beat, and his brain waves became more erratic as his body began to shut down.
Krillin had experienced death before, but not like this. His own death on Namek had been a strangely peaceful event. He remembered a warm glow taking over his body as he just sort of
faded away. There had been no fear or uncertainty, like there was now, just tranquillity.
This wasn’t the same though. This was death seen through the eyes of the living. The death of his very best friend in the world – they were more like brothers, really, and in just a few minutes, he would be gone, and there would be no bringing him back.
From the outside, Goku’s final moments looked serene, he even had what could almost be described as a smile on his face.  But Krillin knew what was going on behind the façade; he could sense it. Goku’s ki, his life force, which only weeks ago had over shadowed every other living being in the universe, was fading – fast. It was almost completely gone now, but then, just as it seemed like it was over, it would come surging back.
When he looked back on this dark day in the future, this would be the memory that hunted him the most. Knowing that Goku didn’t want to die, that he had fought it every step of the way and that even though they seemed calm, his final moments were anything but.
Gohan could sense it too, he was all too aware that his father, his hero, was waging the war of his life, his final battle; and all he could do was sit there, watch and hold his hand. He doubted there would ever be a time in his life where he would feel more useless than this.
A sob escape the young man’s throat as Goku’s ki took another steep dive, and this time, it didn’t recover. He was only 16 years old, he still had so much to learn from his father about what it was to be a man, a warrior. He wasn’t ready to say goodbye yet.
Beside him, Chichi sat, gently stroking her husband’s limp hair from his damp forehead, quietly soothing him, letting him know that everyone was here and had said they goodbyes. It was ok for him to go whenever he was ready. She wanted her voice to be the last thing he heard.
And it was.
In the same way a flame flickered just before it burned out, so too did Goku’s ki. From the outside, nothing appeared to change, but the energy inside of him quietly faded away, and just like that, he was gone.
-
Thats it. Hope you liked it. If you’d be interested in any more snippets from what I do have written up of the main story (again, completly unedited) let me know!
See you all again in a year probably!

[Alright. As promised, I'm going to hop on my bullshit and address someone who obviously has it out for GoChi and will stan Vegebul to their dying breath. The funny part is I wasn't their only target in seems. 😬😬
But the rest will be under the cut. This is all in regards to this post.
Here are the replies:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So let's take this piece by piece, and, for those of you who have been around a minute, you've probably seen my reasoning behind this opinion numerous times. But here goes nothing.
First, I want to hit this with a disclaimer I've said a million times: none of the relationships in DB are well written or executed. NONE. Vegebul and GoChi are the WORST offenders, too, in that order. However, imo, GoChi is more viable because the parties are actually willing to WORK for a relationship while the other one is tossed together for plot reasons and forced by breaking both characters into people they're not. But I'll get into that more later. Shitty writing is the crux of all of this at the end of the day.
Claim 1: "Vegeta and Bulma actually improved their relationship over time and have some good moments."
Improved is a strong word. The crux of this is they weren't compatible from the get go. The Buu Saga is the only place where their relationship is REMOTELY depicted realistically for them as strained and a marriage of convenience. They get along, but it's not this lovey dovey, out of character traditional or over the top love fans and Super depict. It makes sense for them. The only real improvement as far as viewing them as a couple goes is that they're more civil than they were. Otherwise, it's all contrived, forced bs, and that's especially the case in Super.
Claim 2: "Goku's and ChiChi's relationship has never been good and it never will, it has no redeeming qualities and they have nothing but arguing and abuse."
Yeah, GoChi is shitty. It's poorly handled by the writers from the beginning. But to say there are no redeeming qualities right after gassing up Vegebul? HA. HAHAHA. Besides that being a matter of opinion, there are plenty of moments in the series that show "redeeming" qualities for Goku and ChiChi, and they are shown to actually have a working relationship. They're shown to love each other. I won't get into the complexity of at least Goku's character here, but he loves his wife, and she loves him. They love their family and show it. And it's BELIEVABLE. Not some over the top bs shoved in our faces at every turn to make people like this clown not question the validity of their relationship.
Bringing up abuse is even more laughable without talking about how abusive Vegebul is. But go off I guess. I'll probably get to this more later.
Claim 3 (and maybe the funniest lol): "Who cares is Goku and ChiChi kiss/bang or not? That doesn't automatically make a couple better, their relationship is still trash."
This is a really funny defense when Vegebul literally started with them fucking and Vegeta knocking Bulma up. You're lying to yourself if you think they were put together out of romantic interest. They were made a couple for plot convenience and likely sexist beliefs about single mothers. đŸ€·â€â™€ïž So what's worse: two people who met as kids and maybe shouldn't have jumped into marriage like they did but can be seen to realistically come to form a relationship together because they have personalities that would allow for it or two people that fucked, made a baby, and were forced together because of it, when neither party should be able to stand the other in the first place by any stretch because they both have very combative personalities among other incompatibilities? This is not the ace of an argument you think it is in the context of these ships.
Claim 4 (paraphrased): GoChi has no chemistry, they have nothing in common, ChiChi just abuses Goku, etc.
Again, are you sure this is the argument you want to make to gas up Vegebul? Where do Vegeta and Bulma show they have chemistry? We never see them do anything but name call and argue (which is what you claim Goku and ChiChi do right????), and pointing to Super will get you nowhere with me. And again we bring up abuse. As I said, Vegeta and Bulma were constantly arguing and name-calling in the beginning. In the Buu Saga they were amicable at best, but they still weren't this perfect couple that everyone tries to make them out to be. I mean...Vegeta literally sold his soul without knowing he would maintain control, let alone free himself from it, and nearly killed Bulma while throwing a hissy fit about wanting to fight Goku. He was ready to give up EVERYTHING just for power and that fight, including his family. But yeah. Perfect, beautiful, loving couple.
And again, let's get into the abuse conversation. I'm not saying there isn't any in GoChi, but to say that Vegebul has no abuse is laughable. I'll get to that in the last claim.
Claim 5 (paraphrased): Vegeta and Bulma improve over time, Bulma is the reason Vegeta turned good, and their arguments are on equal footing.
Again, improve is objective because I personally don't see it. At least not in any believable capacity past the Buu Saga which is still, imo, not perfect or completely well-executed.
I can't stand the narrative of Vegeta turned good because of Bulma because it suggests he had no agency over his own change. You must be one of those people who define Vegeta's redeeming moment as his (failed) sacrifice against Majin Buu instead of the end of the Saga when he comes to terms with how he has lived his life and finally finds peace in admitting Goku is stronger than him. The idea that Vegeta settling down saved his life or made him a better person is, at best, only partially true. Saying this shit removes his agency, and reduces his character to "lol bad boy fell in love and changed!" when it's far more complex than that.
And their arguments are on equal footing in the regard that both Vegeta and Bulma have combative personalities and will, therefore, argue with each other, whereas Goku is more laid back and go with the flow so is less likely to argue with ChiChi? Again, is this supposed to be a good argument for claiming Vegebul is the better relationship? And what of the name-calling Vegeta and Bulma do? About how Vegeta was willing to let Bulma and Trunks DIE? How miserably he treated future Trunks who present Bulma still viewed and treated as her own son once she knew? How he obviously didn't really pay present Trunks much mind for the first 8 years of his life, whixh would BOTHER a loving mother that obviously wanted to keep Vegeta around FOR their son's benefit? And that's just the abuse on VEGETA'S side. Bulma is absolutely abusive, too, outside of name-calling and arguing. She manipulates Vegeta and everyone else to get her way. She yells and screams at Vegeta when he wants to train rather than do whatever the hell it is she wants at that moment, knowing full well what he is and isn't into. But she will do whatever SHE pleases regardless of his wishes, im sure.. There is only take and no give with Bulma when it comes to Vegeta. Not to mention how she constantly flirts with other men in front of him. All od this, too, is considered abuse. But since it doesn't fit your narrative, you're not going to talk about that right?
In conclusion: both of these relationships are dog shit. Both could and should be handled better if they should have even maintained these relationships at all. But to say that Vegebul is more believable than GoChi is the joke of the century in this fandom. Next, you'll tell me Vegeta is the better dad, too.
And look. Ship what you want. But let's all be honest about the ships we like/prefer.]

sakura on the list of the most hated characters in fiction, I had kind of moved away from her fandom especially here because it's full of self inserts but it still irritates me,And I know it happens here too, but especially on Twitter/TikTok/reddit There are Naruto incel/nar*sasu/hin*ta fans who have entire accounts dedicated to hating the character and harassing those who like her, There is literally an naruto/incel who hates her and Sasuke he has his main twitter account and about 30 private ones that he uses to like all anti/hate content about them both, grown-up women over 30 who ship n*rusasu(which was my first ship) and make the personality's hate her character because she gets in the way of their ship, Naruto literally has one of the dumbest and most miserable fandoms on the internet(sorry for the English)
Honestly the hate for Sakura is so overblown.
Of course there will be people who don’t like her, and ya she did stupid shit in the show, but i don’t think anything she did deserves the sheer amount of hate she has gotten
There are character’s who have done way worse who are loved
But then those who do love Sakura are 80% of the time self inserts who don’t even like the cannon character but instead change her into whatever bad ass they want
Like, enjoy the character
Enjoy what she is, where she could learn and grow, and ya obv call Kishi out on his absolute shit treatment of her. She’s the main female character and wasn’t even allowed to actually be as strong as the two male characters. That’s BS
But people always blow out of proportation the things she did, and just endlessly bash on her. I get why her fan’s are so protective and reactive. They have to be.
That being said, they can also be just as bad with their hate for Hinata and other female characters.
This fandom treats hinata like trash for not being super out going and choosing to be a housewife (a valid life choice for someone who was never actually interested in fighting) and the Hinata and Sakura fandoms are constantly fighting over the stupidist shit
The incels are the worst though by far cuz they dumb down Hinata to her looks, which isn’t even something that’s focused on in the manga (she wears baggy clothes. The fact she has tits isn’t even all the evident in her design ffs) and they tear Sakura down for saying stupid kid/teenager things and not worshipping the ground Naruto walks on, while ignoring the times that she is actually nice and respectful and open with him.
Like JFC Chichi is far worse at times with her actual husband than Sakura is with Naruto but sakura gets more hate (to be clear i LOVE Chichi. This is not a bash. She’s just super harsh with goku at times)

character meme do snake and vegeta
for my sweet sweet boy david snake
First impression: after peripheral awareness of metal gear solid existing for ten years, in 2008 i was playing brawl on my friends wii and was like.....who is real human man caked up with a gun in my silly nintendo party fighter. and then i shot pokemon trainer with a nikita missile and it was love at first sight 💖
Impression now: he's the wolf, he's the lamb, he's the sheep dog he's the shepherd, he's jesus christ. he's done unspeakale horrors he's a monument to the innate kindness of human beings in the face of mistreatment every parental figure in his life. he's been married for a decade and had a child with a man who i know owns more than one horny dakimura. he's the first video game character to ever say the word bisexual. he loves dogs. he's a clone of his father. his father who ignored him his entire life only told him he was his father to manipulate him before snake burned him alive with a macguyvered zippo flamethrower. kojima spend months modeling his ass. literally character of all time.
Favorite moment: "i'm not like you, i love life" "life is worth living even when it hurts you, even when you hurt it." everytime he does that shoulder grab and soulful eye stare at otacon, sunny, or raiden when they're filled with despair.
Idea for a story: he lives another happy fifty healthy years after the end of mgs4 i know this i learned this in a psychic attack from kojima.
Unpopular opinion: people who look at this man and see someone other than a bottom.....girl i cannot help you.
Favorite relationship: otasune my beloved. also him and sunny (father and daughter of all time đŸ„șđŸ„șđŸ„ș, him and raiden (weh), whatever deranged shit he and kaz had going on take that how you will, and him and frankie đŸ˜©đŸ˜©đŸ˜©
Favorite headcanon: i have never gotten over that one post about hal putting on the first pokemon movie for sunny and dave seeing it and fully cat crying dot png because mewtwo's just like him fr
idiot boy vegeta
First impression: me @ the age of 6 watching toonami at my cousin's house: who is this infinitesimal crying man being beaten to death in front of me.
Impression now: worst galactically wanted planet destroyer princess alive 💖💖💖💖💖💖 i love him so bad.
Favorite moment: his majin arc was so insane he was sooooo #gonegirl, gatekeep, girlboss i love gay divorce.
Idea for a story: vegeta doesn't get inflicted with toriyama's comp het. actualy just apply that to every dragon ball character.
Unpopular opinion: i understand it's like...better for his mental health and i like the concept but like........i wish his character arc had ended with "i dont have to be better than goku" rather than "goku will always bee better than me" like.....thanks i hate that
Favorite relationship: goku and vegeta unfortunately, he and bulma but as people who used to to fuck because they're both stone cold 10's and now they are just little haters together, if i was toriyama i would have done a whole lot more with him and gohan given that they literally have the same backstory, him and piccolo and chichi should have a bitch4bitch4bitch club i would be so down, him and raditz because it makes me insane, him and freeza but only when they focus on his horrifically unpacked trauma and make vegeta shake like a pursedog and then he kills freeza, oh and him and tarble because what the fuck they literally never did anything with that.
Favorite headcanon: okay read above most of my headcanon's got put up there 😭😭😭

OH, are we doing Krillin ships?!? Sign me up! First I'd like to preface this by saying I LOVE K18, but I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about alternates too. He's so darn shippable and cute and compliments so many others so well. Plus you know he's a passionate lover so whoever gets with him is def gonna be very happy. XD I love the idea of Bulma and Krillin, I can't lie. I think they complement each other very nicely, and the idea of Bulma growing out of chasing the hot bad boys and falling for the cute who'd been by her side since they were kids is cute, plus he's emotionally mature, desires a family, would keep her impulses in check... somewhat. I also do like the idea of Krillin and Chi-Chi oddly enough. I think it's super adorable the way he was just so enamored with her from the moment he set eyes on her, and was so jealous she was into Goku but Gou couldn't remember her that he was almost willing to fight him over it. He's also very attentive and responsible and I think that Chi-Chi would find that aspect of him very attractive. I'm also a fan of him with Kale. I know some won't like that one. 😅 But I just think that his kindness and gentle demeanor along with her timid and quiet one would be SUCH a cute dynamic, and the idea of her Berserker form contrasting with him in the opposite way is an interesting one too. I do also like the idea of a Krillin with a FemGoku. That dynamic could be super cute. I have others but, uh... those are a bit more on the smutty crack side than anything else, so that's probably best left for a different ask. XD
okay, i DEFINITELY have never considered krillin and kale but... i wont deny it, i think nice x shy is cute indeed. very wholesome :] :]
krillbul (?) is a really good one in general i am a fan, for pretty much the same reasons <33 personally i know it would never work in the sense that bulma doesn't settle even when shes settled, and krillin wants to settle. but god i really like their dynamic so much !!!!!!
and krillin and chichi i think would HIT. they both have a very domestic thing going on i can see them being very satisfied homebody types together, just keeping a home together <3
gokrill hits fr, i did see sourdough777's femgoku stuff and they did have a post or two with krillin in that context i think.... its such a rare one, when gokrill is already somewhat rare as it is :[
thank you for the ask <333 and feel free to send the crack ones LMAOOO

i keep thinking about how i'm portraying goku while shipping him with my s/i and i feel kind of bad because i think if i were really in the db world and in a relationship with goku, he would treat me just like he treats chichi (WHICH ISN'T A BAD THING but it's more like he would be kind of unaware of how his actions affect mozz and would constantly run off w/o saying anything and be kind of rude) which makes me sad
but then i remember these are my toys and i get to play with them the way i want to so i get to make goku 100x more love dovey with mozzarella than he actually is with his canonical wife and that while goku might still forget to tell me things when he's running off to save the world and/or train, he would try his best to remember and at the very least would entrust someone else (like piccolo or krillin or chichi herself) to inform me of what's going on. he also hangs out with me allll of the time and never wants to leave my side and we go everywhere together and live happily ever after :o)
#🐉🍚#there's a really interesting conversation about goku's personality and tendency to just. Dip#without warning#specifically not warning chichi. his fucking wife LOL#and while i typically disagree with these discussions because they'll completely misinterpret his character#in order to fit it into the wider 'goku is a bad dad/husband' narrative#he's definitely Not perfect#and db can be incredibly cruel to the female characters that are married the main saiyans#like vegeta just being a complete and total ass to bulma for not reason (seething)#videl being reduced to nothing more than a housewife and losing literally all her personality that they gave her in dbz#and goku (and his friends) leaving chichi completely in the dark about all of the world-threatening chaos they go through#and intentionally hiding things from her so that she won't flip out#(like she isn't his biggest supporter typically and always shows up for him ???)#sorry this became be ranting about how db and its fans can be so insanely cruel to the female characters#and even tho i'm a gochi supporter until i die#goku can be kind of awful to her sometimes#ofc this also depends on if you are watching the anime or reading the manga#like he's even worse in the manga LOL#that 'good thing my heart knows what is wants' line does not exist in there#anyway i still love him lots and i love him and chichi together#but it's just one of those things where i like to imagine he's a lot nicer to her in canon#and by proxy#he's obsessed with me <3#playing with my dollies

#my hcs are that pan is a lesbian and bulla is pansexual and also trans
#bulla is annoyed by this bc she thinks it would be funnier if she was the lesbian and pan was pansexual
#pan does not get the joke
#bulla can go super saiyan but hates getting sweaty more than anything so she doesn't really like fighting as much as her dad would prefer
#pan LOVES fighting but has yet to go super saiyan even tho she's well passed the power threshold
#gohan has told her it might take some more time but he believes in her
#vegeta has told her it isn't going to happen ever and to just be grateful she has enough saiyan blood to be a decent fighter at all
#videl yelled at him for telling her that but couldn't prove him wrong
#pan is determined to prove him wrong and frequently pesters bulla into sparring
#chichi is the only person to realize this is vegeta's plan
#but she encourages it bc she hopes pan WON'T go ssj and will lose interest in fighting and not get as traumatized as gohan got
#bulma is happy that her daughter likes girly things but disappointed that she's not really into engineering like her brother
#trunks thinks pan is pretty cool for a kid and bulla is a pest but he's her big brother so he's required to think that
#goten thinks they're both neat and hopes they don't ask him what that smell is (weed. it's weed)
#goku routinely forgets that they (and marron) aren't both related to him and sometimes calls them ''my granddaughters''
#which makes people stare at him bc why does this 25yo-looking guy have GRANDKIDS wtf
#(bc he's like 52 lmao)
Tumblr media
Some character exploring for my Pan and Bulla(I use both names interchangeably don't come for me) redesigns
I've decided to completely rewrite GT in my head, feed me your headcannons for these 2

Too Hot. 4
Chapter 4
As Videl tried to catch up to Gohan she noticed he stopped. When she caught up to him she wasn’t expected what came next. “I’m sorry for yesterday. I don’t know what came over.”
All the anger she felt left her she got closer to Gohan. When she reached him garbed her into a human tight hug. Before they both realized they were hidden among the trees. Gohan pinning Videl against a tree, and her arms and legs wrapped around him.
The scarf and their clothes were on the ground next to them; they were only left in their underwear. Gohan trailed kisses down Videl’s neck to her collar bone, and was to going lower till he felt his father’s ki closing in. he stopped what he was doing and told Videl to get dress, that he’ll be right back. He got dress and caught up with his father.
“Hey dad.” Gohan said with a crack to his voice. Goku quickly looked his son over and realized he might have interrupted something. Trying to stay unfazed he told his son that Chichi wanted to know if Videl wanted to stay for dinner. Just as Gohan was going to answer Videl showed up behind him. She then Goku that she would love to stay for dinner. Goku said alright and instant transmission back home.
There he told Chichi that Videl was staying and that Gohan and her might be doing something. She angrily whispered how they shouldn’t do that until they’re marry. Goku got excited of the thought his eldest son getting married and being happy.
“Should we do anything?” Chichi told him while Gohan goes to school tomorrow they’re going to go shopping. Her plan was to push her son and Videl to get married after high school, or maybe after college. Goku whined why can’t Gohan married at 18 like they did.
~Dinner time~
As Goku and Chichi watched the teens eat they noticed something was off about their son. He seems more on edge than his usual calm self. Chichi was going to say something but Goku stopped her. Gohan witness his parent’s interaction and assume they knew something was up. So he ate his portion quicker than usual and set his dishes in the sink. He then stepped out the house. Everyone seemed confused yet Goku and Chichi just smiled at each other. “I’ll take care of it, Chi.” Chichi just smiled at her husband as he also stepped out.
When Goke stepped out he noticed Gohan was sitting under a tree, ways from the house. He then walked over to his son and sat down next to him. “Is there anything you want to say?”
“No. I’m fine dad.”
“You sure don’t look it. I might not completely know exactly what’s going on your situation but I can take a guess. You feeling on edge and don’t know why. Unlike you I didn’t know what those feelings were so I trained harder during those time.” Goku laughed remembering his time at Kami’s lookout all those years ago. Gohan looked away feeling embarrassed. “Do something that releases that tension. Everyone is different in that area. For example, my main thing is training. Yes, there’s other reasons I train but tension is one of few top reasons. But be careful how you release your tension. I don’t think your mom and me are ready to be grandparents just yet.” He laughed.
“DAD! SERIOUSLY!” Gohan yelled out of embarrassment and flew off.
~The next few days Gohan couldn’t look at his parents and was even avoiding Videl.~

Don’t Tell
(A Goku X Caulifla One-Shot Fanfic)
Goku had just won the tournament of power. Caulifla asked him to visit, and he enjoyed her company so he obliged. Right now, they were at a night club on Planet Sadala, and there were alcoholics everywhere, including Caulifla herself. Goku watched her chug a whole bottle of Sadalan beer and he was looking slightly uncomfortable. Then again, he saw alcohol before and the concept wasn’t new to him. His ex-wife Chichi always had a couple of bottles like this, but he never saw the appeal. They tasted nasty to him and he heard that it could do screwed up things to the mind.
Caulifla drank about three whole bottles and only looked mildly tipsy, unlike how Chichi would look dizzy and tired if she drank even one. “How do you drink all that stuff and still think straight?” Goku asked her. “I’m a saiyan, Goku. We don’t pass out from alcohol as easily as puny humans do. The alcohol on this planet would kill a measly earthling,” said Caulifla. Goku was curious about these beverages. “Can I try one?” He asked. Caulifla nodded. “Yo!” She yelled to get the bartender’s attention. “This dude here would like a drink.” “What kind of drink?” The bartender said. “I don’t know much about alcohol. Maybe a martini would be nice?” Goku suggested.
“Right on it, Sir!” The bartender left and shortly came back with a martini, just like Goku asked. Caulifla snatched it out of his hands and politely handed it to her crush. “Here ya go, Handsome. Drink up,” she said flirtatiously. Goku grabbed the martini and drank it slowly. It tasted a lot better than he expected it to. It was much more tasteful than any of the alcoholic beverages he tried on Earth. He soon was finished with the whole thing and much to his surprise, he loved the taste of it. So much so that he was willing to drink more. “Wow, I actually liked that. I want another one!” He said joyfully.
Caulifla ordered another martini for Goku just like he asked, and a margarita for herself. He chugged it all in one go. He enjoyed the beverage so much that he didn’t want to stop drinking. Soon, him and Caulifla were so drunk that they could hardly see straight anymore. Perhaps it was time to stop and rest. Caulifla said, “Alright, that’s enough for one day. Maybe we can come by here another time. How does that sound?” Goku liked the sound of that. Spending time with Caulifla was always a good thought, and he was looking to get to know her better. “Sure, why not?” He said.
The saiyans stepped out of the bar and sat on the bench right outside. They decided to let the alcohol wear off before walking anywhere or even saying anything. It was about five minutes after they could finally see and think straight again, so they took off. “Hey, Goku? There is a hotel not too far from here that we could stay at for a few days. Do you wanna stay with me at the hotel and have some fun while we’re at it?” Caulifla asked Goku, seductively winking at him. “I’m sorry, but I can’t. I have a son to look out for, and I can imagine that he’s really worried about me right now. I already divorced my ex-wife a couple of years ago, and it’s hard to raise a kid by yourself. So no thanks. But maybe some other time, ok?” Goku said.
Caulifla was slightly heartbroken to find out that Goku was married, but then again, he did also say that he was divorced, so she still had hope. “Ok, that’s fine. I understand. But I did want to give you something special tonight,” she said in a sultry tone. Goku was perplexed on what she meant, but it didn’t take long for him to figure it out. She kissed him full on the lips and did it in such an enticing way. He was actually kind of enjoying this. He did this with Chichi before, but he never felt any love out of it. He didn’t feel love for Chichi herself. He only married that woman to fulfill a promise he didn’t even understand.
But kissing Caulifla felt different. Goku felt more real love for her in the short time he knew her than he ever did for Chichi. He never got along with Chichi and couldn’t agree with her on anything. They had no chemistry and only got together because both of them thought they were destined to do so. Caulifla broke away from the kiss and gave Goku an alluring smirk. “That was amazing. But don’t tell anyone that we drank together or kissed, ok?” Goku told her. “Huh? But why?” Caulifla asked. “Because I don’t know what my friends would think of me after finding out that I kissed a woman I just met half a day ago. I got hitched to my ex-wife in a similar way. We got married after seven years of knowing each other, but we barely communicated through all those years. I basically married a woman I barely knew. I don’t want to make that same mistake with you, Caulifla,” Goku explained.
Caulifla hung her head in shame. “I am so sorry. I promise I won’t tell anyone, ok? Do you promise the same thing? That you won’t tell anyone about what we did tonight?” She said. Goku nodded. “I promise with all my heart... Cauli.” Caulifla’s heart swelled and fluttered from that nickname. No one ever called her that before. Although it sounded embarrassing at the same time. But she didn’t care how embarrassing it was. “Well, I gotta go home now. See ya later, Goku!” She walked away, waving at him. Goku flew away and waved back until they could see each other no more.
