sorry I'm having thoughts because I haven't slept and when I don't sleep I have thoughts....................
I was thinking about Canon Suave Ganondorf again, and... I think what bothers me, beyond everything discussed, is that... it's not characterization? Like for example take Girahim, which I would argue is also a Sexy Villain. Him being a Sexy Villain is 1) a key factor of his presentation and double-edged creepiness, 2) has kind of a lot to do with his literal objectification and 3) is completely played as such, and Girahim himself has a lot of fun with his own theatrics. I don't mind Sexy Villains, they are a lot of fun and they can even be quite meaningful!
So I am not against Sexy Ganondorf by default. I feel like, if played honestly and not ashamed of its own conceit, it could be genuinely interesting! But I find kind of offputting that his sexualization happens almost exclusively extradiegetically. It's the camera leering, it's the clothes that, while really pretty and cool and interesting, do not actually inform us much about the character wearing them on screen, the behind-the-scenes tidbits that are just... not represented within the world of the game... And so, to me, where Girahim lands somewhere on the Bayonetta scale, TotK Ganon is kind of landing... I don't know, somewhere near "skimpy outfit worn by a character that would never wear something like this if given the choice, and the world doesn't ever question why she would and what that says about her"? I don't know if that makes sense, but, yeah. If you want him to seduce everyone, then. Do that. Make him active. Make him own that weird trait you decided to give him all of a sudden.
But again, given the game is deeply uninterested in Ganon as a person, but very interested as Ganon as an antagonistic object, it does end up feeling weirdly objectifying in that regard too.

“Your majesty.” It is quite the task to get an audience with the king— but well worth it, she thinks, to explore the great expanse of Hyrule. Desinii could, in theory, do this anyway…But it’s safer, she decides, to ask permission; than to later request pardon.
She’s taken to one knee, a show of respect, and doesn’t lift her head until given the okay to do so.
“I have come today to propose a deal, of sorts. I should like to explore Hyrule…It’s most ancient places, forgotten to time. Of course, any of my findings will be brought to you first, for assessment. I seek your blessing for this venture, and to potentially take some findings back to the Gerudo settlement, should they be of historical significance.”
That is quite an intriguing suggestion. It's been right many years (maybe a century, but he can't fully recall) since an archeologist has come to him. Most do of their own will, then come crawling to him when something goes wrong. The king isn't one to ignore his people's pleas, but it becomes rather exhausting to jump at a moment's notice to help someone out of a mess of their own making.
"You have put much thought into this, have you not?" It's a rhetorical question, so he continues without her response. "I have no qualms with your request. Raise your head; tell me your name and where you wish to investigate first."

Mutual Feelings Pt. 12, [Revali x Reader]
Summary: Eh?
Medoh soared above the village, harboring two who shared many memories within. Memories that can be interpreted differently, some happy, some angry, and others downright confusing. The two of you sat together in the main terminal, peering out Medoh’s eyes as it flew automatically in pathed circles. He no longer stalked intimidatingly around you. Instead, he relaxed against the wall with an aged book capturing most , if not all, of his attention.
“You’re staring.” He peered over the top of the pages; the ink black words barely reflected in his eyes.
You coughed in response, quickly tearing your eyes from the Champion so as to not embarrass yourself further. Heat rose to your cheeks, burning the surface of your skin, causing a slight tinge of pink to flush through from ear to ear. You weren’t staring. You were merely observing for an extended period of time.
“What are you thinking?” He spoke like he already knew what was on your mind.
“Nothing.” He was so confusing. At times, in the past, you felt as if he couldn’t care less about you. His actions spoke quietly compared to his sharp tones and pointed accusations. You overlooked the times he looked out for you – the many times. But now he was trying.
“Nothing doesn’t look like that.” His brow rose along with his body as he crossed the room. The thoughts running through your mind must have somehow translated to expressions. Plucking the terminal cover off the ground, he moved it aside to make room for himself.
“I’m just… just confused.” You finally admitted. The words fled from your mouth, surprising you more than him. Expecting a heavy weight to lift from your chest, you were flabbergasted when it didn’t. Rather, it was replaced by an even heavier weight. It pulled at you, begging you to remain how things had always been. Stay closed off. It told you. He won’t understand.
“About?” He inquired, folding the corner of his book before snapping it shut. Discarding it along with the terminal cover, he lowered himself down to join you. “I’d hope it not be about Medoh…” He held his signature arrogant grin, not taken aback by the aggravated look he received in return. “I do suppose I can finally trust you with them. So, tell me. What has the scientist so confused?”
The puzzle pieces in your mind refused to stick together. Everything became so jumbled when he spoke. Your heart raced, but you couldn’t pinpoint whether it was from excitement or dread. “It’s nothing, Revali.” But it wasn’t really nothing. Right now, in this moment, it was close to everything.
“She’s going to be okay.” An arm was awkwardly laced around you. He gave a slight tug, prompting you to tense up. “If that’s what was on your mind.” It most certainly was not until he reminded you. You rarely just got caught up in a moment, but lately it was hard not to.
“I know she will.” You let out a breath, eyes not daring to even glance in his direction. “It’s not that.”
“Then, it is?” He tugged once more, finally getting his way as you loosened and landed against his side.
--------
“Hello?” A voice rang throughout Medoh, coming from the upper deck. “My god, it’s windy in here!” It exclaimed in a dancing sing-song tone.
“In here!” Your ears perked at the sound of a familiar voice. Moving away from Revali, you called back.
“I saw that the protection-thingy was down.” Seoi came waltzing into the room, the expression on her face making it clear her mood was above the clouds. “So, I figured I’d come check in on you two.”
“We’re fine.” You commented. Revali stood from his spot on the floor, brushing his hands down his front as he came to stand at your rear. He placed a gentle hand on the small of your back, not bothering to hide the gesture from Seoi. She noted it, giving the two of you a knowing look. “How’s Keumi?”
“She’s still sleeping, but she seems better. Junil is watching her while I’m here.”
“And, if you don’t mind my asking, what are you here for?” Revali pushed against your back, eliciting a small tuff of annoyance from you.
“The sun is thinking about setting soon. I know the two of you haven’t eaten all day. Revali,” Seoi tore her eyes from the wing on your back, “why don’t you go get [Name] something to eat?”
Revali stood a bit straighter at the suggestion. His hand coasted upward to your shoulder where it landed and gave a squeeze. “A fine suggestion. I’ll be back.” With a few swift steps, he had crossed the room to one of the many exits. “Don’t make a mess of the place while I’m gone.”
Seoi waited a moment after Revali left before returning her attention to you. “You two?” She walked past toward the terminal.
“Us two?” You repeated, slower. “What about us?”
“Oh, come on. I told you he had a thing for you back when he panicked through the night after you were injured! So, the two of you finally got together, huh? What made that happen?” She shimmied her shoulders.
“We aren’t together.”
“Yet.”
“Ever.” Your shoulders slumped as the ghostly feeling of Revali’s touch dissipated. “We’re just friends.”
“Friends that hang out for extended periods of time, alone, that get all touchy with one another and stuff?” She snickered. “Okay, let’s think this through.” Seoi took your hands in hers as she swung them up and down. “He took care of you when you were hurt, he’s allowing Junil and a few others to use the Flight Range now, he’s taken quite the liking to Keumi who has been sticking to him like she does you, and he seems to be attached at your side a lot lately.”
“Yeah.” You said apprehensively, arms turning to jelly as Seoi continued to swing them. “He’s nice to Keumi?”
“I would slap you right now if I could do it without feeling bad.” She stopped, gripping your hands tightly. “He’s the sweetest to Keumi. It’s been in the last few weeks. He’s taken her to the spring, he’s given her a tour up here, he’s even defended her when a few of the other kids were picking on her.”
Maybe Revali had changed. “Did something happen between the two of you recently? Other than the tension?”
You thought back on what happened between the two of you Gerudo. He spent the majority of that day at your side, taking the time to care for you when he didn’t have to. In addition to that, he saved you. He was the reason you were able to gather the most important ingredient in saving someone that mattered to you. Maybe something had happened, but whether or not you were willing to admit it was another question.
“No.” You weren’t.
“Nothing?” Another voice came along with the clacking of feet. “I suppose you could consider it that, but I’d disagree.”
Seoi cocked her head to the side and gave you an expressive look. “I’ll take my leave at that. Junil is probably getting lonely.” She leaned forward and pressed her cheek to yours, also pulling you in for a strong hug. “Don’t let the important things go. Take a chance… even though I already know it isn’t a chance.”
“Bye Seoi.” You said, extending her at arm’s length.
Atop Medoh was a peaceful sight. The soft grassy region created a perfect place to rest among the winds that blew over the Beast. A woven basket sat between the two of you containing a quaint dinner of seared salmon with a sesame glaze on a bed of bitter greens. He claimed to have made it himself and watched you expectantly waiting for a response.
“It’s wonderful.” You smiled, taking the white cloth napkin and blotting it against your lips. That was all he needed, taking solace in your answer as he began picking at the other side of the dish. You ate in silence, the ambiance of the growing night filling the gaps. The sun crept over the horizon as the moon took its place. Crickets chirps bounced through the air, barely audible over the gushing wind through Medoh’s wings.
“May I ask you something?” He was now laid on his back, leg kicked over the other, and hands were tucked beneath his head. Your hands were folded on your stomach, fingers interlaced. A wave of tranquility rushed over you as you closed your eyes, taking in the moment. It was too nice, surely something bad would happen soon. Moments like this never lasted long.
“You’re going to ask anyway.” Your reply pulled a huff of air from him.
“Of course, I am.” The grass rustled as he rolled to his side. “Why did you take so much to Keumi?”
“She’s a sweet kid in a bad circumstance.”
“That it?”
“I suppose it could be jealousy as well.”
“Jealousy.” He repeated slowly, letting your admission set in further. “How so?”
You opened your eyes. Turning on your side, you faced Revali. “She’s got a good mom, the possibility of a nice stepdad too. The community is quite loving here. It’s all just so different from how I was brought up.”
“As a worker to the throne?”
“The job I have isn’t an easy one to get and an even harder one to do well. It requires long nights, early mornings, and gives me little to no time to just live.”
He hummed, giving a wordless agreement to your statement. The life of a Champion was far different in the many duties and requirements it took to fill the roll, but he could relate to the extensive hours and nonstop work.
“Aren’t you living now?”
“I’ve got a lot of work left if you guys even want a chance of defeating the Calamity.” You groaned, rubbing your eyes leaving behind blurry stars that melted into the ones positioned in the clear sky. “And Keumi, she’s still a handful.”
You lay there for hours with Revali, tossing and turning every now and again before falling back into long conversations, conversations you hadn’t really had with anyone. He explored the closed-gated realm of your mind, probing at what slows you down and what makes you tick. You weren’t the only one opening up, he too disclosed much of his life he had kept hidden. You had a lot in common. More, in fact, than you had thought.
With the sun finally bidding Hyrule adieu, the moon rose to project a blue hue that shadowed your figures upon Medoh. The Beast creaked and groaned as it continue flying its set path, every now and again letting out a protective roar. Revali was on his back, eyes closed, chest rising and falling leisurely as the day came to a close. You too were tired, having mimicked his position nearby. A subtle warmth radiated from him, calming the goosebumps that threatened to prickle your skin.
“Should we head back for the night?” He didn’t bother to open his eyes, instead keeping them closed as he projected his proposition into the twilight.
The ride back had been nothing like the first. He flew at a steady pace with no fast pick-ups and a severe lack of nose-dives. His feathers ruffled where you rested your head, a shiver crawled up his spine as you nuzzled closer to guard yourself from the frosty breeze. Maybe there was truly something there.
Rito Village had shut down by this point in the night. The majority of families were nestled together in their homes, radiating soft snores from each swaying hammock. Seoi’s home was the outlier. Her lanterns were still lit, the candles inside flickering as the wax melted down to the bottom leaving a thin liquid inside. The room was occupied by the three you had expected to see: Seoi, Keumi, and Junil. Keumi looked to be resting, her small body being blocked by the other two who hung at her bedside.
Revali assisted you, taking your hand as you jumped from his back to the landing. Descending the steps, you felt the thrill of the day rushing back in like waters from a broken dam. So much had happened in such a short period of time and it wasn’t over.
Seoi rose to her feet upon taking notice of yours and Revali’s entrances. She wasn’t composed like she typically would be. Her shoulders had slumped considerably, her hand was held firmly at her heart where she gripped tightly to something hidden beneath her feathers. Her eyes weren’t soft or loving, they were filled with something you hadn’t ever experienced with Seoi before – hatred.
Her heels clacked against the wooden floor as she stomped her way in front of you, blocking you from entering. Junil remained at Keumi’s side, not bothering to stop Seoi who was shooting daggers at you. Her scream could have woken everyone in the Village, but she didn’t care. What did it matter? She was furious.
“It’s your fault.” She pushed at your chest, knocking you back into Revali who held tightly to your arms. He attempted to push himself between the two of you, but to no avail. Seoi was a mother fueled by the love for her child, and nothing was going to stop her.
“What happened?” You tried to remain calm, straining your hands and arms struggling to work out the growing tension. Your neck stiffened as if a rod had been cast into it, rendering you unable to turn it from side to side.
“Oh,” she spat, “you know what happened.”
“Seoi.”
“No!” She screamed, voice cracking as she let out a deep sigh. Tears brimmed her eyes; the stains of the last wave had matted her feathers. “It didn’t work! Your stupid idea didn’t work and now,” she choked back a sob, “It’s all your fault.”
Reduced to a state of shock, you felt frozen in time. Everything seemed to slow as you peered around her spotting Keumi who looked deathly ill. Her jaw hung slack as her head lulled to the side. She wasn’t moving one bit. You waited for what seemed like years, watching her small chest intently praying to Hylia it would rise as she inhaled, but it didn’t.
“Here, let me just see if,” you tried to step around Seoi who immediately had her hand pressed to your collarbone. Her look commanded that you stay back, but you had to see if you could at least help. “Seoi, please, just let me.”
She became irate, pushing you back to fall to the ground before Revali could react. You watched as her mouth moved, your ears rang from the raid of screams penetrated your eardrums, but you couldn’t hear a word she said. You only felt the pain of it all.
“Get out!” The necklace she harbored in her hand lashed against your skin, thrown with might. Your hand searched quickly for it, grazing up and down where you had thought it hit, eventually finding it. It was Keumi’s, the one you had given her, the one you promised would keep you by her side. “I never want to see you again. Never come back.” She spat. The venom of her words worked speedily, infecting your body, making every task seem like hell.
“I said, get out!”
You didn’t know what to do, so you ran. You ran past Revali who called out after you. You ran from Seoi who had put her trust in you to keep her daughter safe. You ran from Junil who had just begun learning the love a father could feel for his child. You ran from Keumi who had grounded you and given you a loving home when you hadn’t one for yourself. You ran as fast and as far as your legs would take you and you had no intention of stopping.
Revali pleaded, running until he could no longer keep up. He flew from above, keeping an eye trained on you as you exited the Village, ran past the stable, and out toward the wild. Kolami Bridge was where he finally found you, crumbled to the ground with your head in your hands.
The pounding quickly set in, a horrendous headache taking its place. Your ears ached from the screaming, your eyes burnt from the tears, and the chain laced through your fingers felt like it was going to burn off your skin any second. Unsure of what to say, he sat down at your side, wrapped his arms around your shaking figure, and promised that everything was going to be okay. It had to, eventually. Right?

Fanfic Progress Update 56
Hi, my quarantined friends and enemies! Let’s take a look at my Fanfic Progress Update, since it’s Saturday! Stay tuned to the end of this post for a spoiler-y glimpse into the next chapter of Adventure gone Mini AND Hah! Our afterlife is the most hilarious bushwa, dearest.
Current WIPs:
Adventure gone Mini
Fandom: Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild / The Minish Cap
Summary: Sidon is given his very own Sheikah Slate, the first replica Purah has managed to make, and sets out to travel with Link with the intention of registering warp points for convenient travel in the future. However, when a malfunction shrinks them down to the size of bugs, and they meet little people called the Minish, they have to change their plans from “fun adventuring” to “getting out of this mess”. Not that those two have to exclude one another. Link/Sidon.
Progress: Chapter 36 is the current latest chapter and was posted on 18th of March. Chapter 37 is about 1/3 done and is scheduled for 8th of April.
I post a new chapter every three weeks on Wednesdays. These updates always include a sneak-peek for the next chapter, slowly getting longer over the three weeks waiting period.
—–
That month of the year
Fandom: Hazbin Hotel
Summary: Every year, for a single month, the Radio Demon gets… emotional. His antlers are in velvet and he’s pumped full of hormones that make him behave quite unlike himself: suddenly, everywhere he looks, instead of seeing fellow demons all he sees are helpless little fawns that nobody is taking a proper care of! Solution? Adopt them.
Husk, Niffty, Camille, Honey, and the rest of the older Fawns put up with their Mom/Dad’s nonsense every year, but this time there’s a new, rotten apple in their midst and they have to protect Alastor from this crook. Without Alastor knowing about it. As Husk likes to put it: “This is fucking bullshit. …I mean fudgy nonsense.”
(Crack taken seriously. Gen)
Progress: The first two chapters are finished! The third chapter hasn’t been started yet. I want to have at least three chapters written before posting anything, preferably more than that because I don’t know how long this fic is gonna be. I can tell it’s longer than the originally planned five chapters tho, since we’ve barely gotten the ball rolling with the first two chapters!
This fic is co-authored by Maximillian!

Hah! Our afterlife is the most hilarious bushwa, dearest
Fandom: Hazbin Hotel
Summary: This is not a stand-alone story! This is a oneshot/drabble collection in the universe of “Shit, the Radio Demon is a part of my afterlife”. Read the main story before bothering with this one.
I decided to give my readers a chance to throw Radiohusk prompts at me, and had the Afterlife-verse as an option to set the stories in. Everyone liked that, so this fic is now a thing. Enjoy the extra mischief from these two dorks!
Progress: Chapter 7 is the current latest chapter and was posted on 20th of March. Chapter 8 will be posted on 24th of March, and chapter 9 on 27th of March. This story will have at least nine more chapters, but who even knows at this point. Additional prompts are not accepted at this moment.
This fic receives a new chapter every Tuesday and Friday. I’ll post a sneak-peek for Tuesday’s chapter on these updates, and one for Friday’s chapter in a separate post on Wednesday.
—–
Other WIPs I’m not currently working on but intend to get back to someday:
PoE Drabbles (Pillars of Eternity)
DC Drabbles (Justice League)
Diaphanous Relations (Forgotten Realms, R.A. Salvatore’s books)
Rolling with it (Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)
Possibly worth staying for (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power)
Experiment in Romance (Hazbin Hotel)
—–
That’s it for the WIPs! Here is the promised sneak-peeks into Adventure gone Mini and Hah! Our afterlife is the most hilarious bushwa, dearest. (Note: the text may end up slightly different in the fic itself due to more editing happening before publishing). Enjoy!
Mini
Misteri led the two of them through the Toadstool Town, as it was called. The town wasn't very large, especially compared to the capital, which was the last city they had been to, but she used the little time it took for them to walk to the town hall to animatedly talk about her home. She explained how they, indeed, used magic to keep the toadstools preserved, and in some cases even alive if it was known that the building would need more space in the future – the Minish who wanted large families would start with a small house and then let it grow bigger as they had more children. It was very fascinating and practical, and Sidon looked like he wanted to stop and observe the growth with his own two eyes, as silly as that was.
Also, turned out that the local Minish were called Mist Minish, while the "regular" ones were Forest Minish. Rumor had it there were Mountain Minish around the mountains, and Field Minish in the Hyrule Fields. Misteri didn't know if there were Desert Minish in the Gerudo lands, Water Minish in the Zora Kingdom, Jungle Minish in the Faron region, and maybe some specific kind of Minish around the Hylian and Sheikah towns, but assumed it to be so. Link suddenly felt like their mini adventure was woefully inadequate now, since there was so much more to the Minish world to be seen all over Hyrule. He wanted to explore all of it one day. Maybe with Sidon, maybe with Zelda, maybe with both.
Bushwa
Husker was having a conversation with Angel Dust again. He had been doing that in increasing amounts lately, especially compared to how he had actively pushed him – everyone, really – away on every possible manner not that long ago. Alastor's grin sharpened and his eyes narrowed as he watched them from the other side of the room, ignoring the company he was with. He was itching to magic his way over there and insert himself into their conversation. Subtly push Angel out of it somewhere down the line and have Husker's undivided attention on himself, and most importantly away from Angel. He had been feeling this way on a few occasions recently, and it was disconcerting. He didn't like it at all. Alastor felt… threatened by Angel's newly found presence in Husker's life. And he knew why, as much as he hated to admit it.
It was a well known fact that Angel was interested in Husker in a romantic manner, to some extent. He had made that abundantly clear over the months; even Alastor had been able to see it despite his slowness at recognizing these things. Now, Husker was Alastor's sheik, and hadn't shown any interest in Angel at any point during their stay at the hotel. But, on a theoretical level, Angel had more to offer to Husker than Alastor did if the two of them were to pursue a romantic relationship. And that left Alastor feeling ill at ease.
That’s it this time. See you next Saturday!

Desert Sands
After reading sooo many fan fictions I was inspired to publish part of my own. Here’s hoping it measures up! Also, if you haven’t checked out @embyrinitalics you REALLY need to get on that.
A short one shot based on memory #4 Blades of the Yiga... spoilers I guess? There should be an epic fluff warning too.
                                                   *------------*
Here she was at the Gerudo Canyon Stable, roiling uncontrollably after coming this close to losing her life. The vicious sickle raised above her head hungrily glinting in the harsh desert sun, burned into her retinas. Brush strokes becoming more frantic, making her hair more dreaded with each blow, tearing hair out rather than freeing the knots, she closed her eyes tight, for once, wishing to be back at the castle with her maids.
Hands shaking like Death Mountain under Rudania’s weight. Desperately trying to rake her brush through her hair, it was a tangled mess of sweat, sand and fear. Agitated. No, furious at herself and her carelessness. She was not supposed to be some useless princess who had to be saved from attacks. That age old guilt hound gnawed ferociously on her ribs, demanding to be unchained. Exactly whom were you trying to give the slip, oh high and mighty one? Slamming the door on the kennel she went back to anger. It’s far easier to be angry than to deal with what truly lurks below. What are you so afra-
A rough, calloused hand lay gently over hers. She knew who it was without opening her eyes, the fact that he was touching her would normally launch her into a tirade. Somewhere in the deep recesses of where that hound lurked she knew she tried so hard to hate him because she was just a terrified little girl, terrified of how whenever he was near her, or looked at her her heart rose into her throat and her body was sent into high alert, terrified of what that sword on his back heralded, terrified of being alone in her never ending struggle to be good enough.
But this time; maybe it was Urbosa’s motherly nudging, or maybe it was the fact that he’d just slain those who were trying to take her life, she let herself relax. She felt the heat from his palm, very faintly could sense the steady drum of his heart, letting herself hear his breath just above her head. Her own heart slowed, coming down off the adrenaline, her breathing became deeper, less erratic and it was enough to just be here; now.
Taking the brush in his own hand, ever so gently, he started methodically brushing out the weight of the day. From her hair, her mind. Her very core. Feeling his strong, fighting hands work tenderly through her hair was bliss. She felt a sigh she didn’t know she’d held escape her lips. He was far more proficient than any of her maids. Working the knots, one by one before tying her hair in a long, low plait. Savouring the moment, she finally opened her eyes. Turning around to face him, she couldn’t find anywhere appropriate for her eyes to rest, her chest tightened, as her eyes darted from eyes to lips, chest, lips, the wall behind him, back to eyes, she is a Princess after all. “You plait as well? Is there anything you don’t do?” Cringing inwardly as her tongue betrayed her, tone just as spiteful as usual. Why can’t I be nice to him? For a split second she saw emotion crack his usually immovable, stoic face. She saw the hurt. Clawing, scratching, howling was the hound. She was making his life a living hell. Perhaps he wished he had never been chosen so he wouldn’t have to be near her. But he’d saved her life. Even if he despised her, he’d stuck to his oath. Needing to make it up to him, she resolved to be kind.
As he turned to leave her in privacy, well, as much as a stable inn can give you, she wrapped her delicate fingers around his arm. “Wait, Link, I’m sorry. Thank you. For everything. For today, for suffering me, brushing my hair.” She wanted to continue the list, it went on and on after all. Not expecting any reply from him, silence was his chosen response for everything it seemed. Letting go of him she smiled, looking deep into his cerulean eyes, she couldn’t read him at all. Infuriating. How could he be so together all the time? “I am your shield against the darkness, your weapon, Princess.” He bowed to her, turning to leave once more. Stunned into silence, he’d actually spoken. How long had it been since she’d heard his voice? It sent chills through her to hear him.
Returning with food for the Princess, he set it down on the table in front of her. “I’d like you to eat with me,” She quietly stated, avoiding his piercing stare. He shook his head. “It’s not correct, Princess.” More words, she was on a roll and found herself wanton for more. Pulling rank on him she announced, “I command you to eat with me.” Link's hand reached to scratch the back of his head, a little awkward quirk he had, and he shifted his weight unsteadily from foot to foot. Scuttling over to the counter, he came back with a plate of food for himself, he seemed unsure what to do next. “Sit, Link, sit across from me.” Like an obedient dog, he sat exactly where she had motioned for him to. Noticing how his eyes were now the ones with no where to rest comfortably, she started to eat, keeping his darting gaze clearly in her peripheral vision she noticed him cautiously surveying her, thinking she wasn’t noticing. “I want to start over. I have been unimaginably cruel to you. I hope you can forgive me.”
Eyes widening, he looked shocked, perhaps he had looked this innocent when he’d had the misfortune of drawing that sword. “Forgiveness is not necessary Princess. You have done nothing but treat me as you see fit.”
This was going to be harder than she thought. Was this really the same boy who had, just minutes ago caressed her hand, brushed her hair free of its tangled nest and tenderly tied it back in a plait for her? The same boy who had thrown himself in front of her guerrilla foes earlier that day without a second thought for his own safety? Finishing their silent meal she pushed him, “Where did you learn to tend to hair that way?” The words hung in front of her mouth like breath on a frosty morning. Waiting for a reply, watching him search for the words, as if speaking was hard work. “My mother. She struggled a lot after my father left for his duties to the Crown. Doing her hair was the only thing I could sit still long enough to ease her strain, it helped her to relax.”
“Did your father not send money for staff?”
“He sent all he could. Knights wages are meagre unless they’re out exploring and collecting lucrative treasures.” Hurriedly, he added, “We never went without. She made sure of it.”
“How is your mother now? Has she got staff now you’re my appointed knight?”
The silence was palpable, his gaze shifted, looking past her shoulder. He doesn’t want to say it.
“She’s with the Godesses now.”
Oh. The hound was hungrily salivating now.
“I’m sorry.” Was all she could muster. Sitting in silence for a few minutes longer, Zelda couldn’t think of what to do next. This hadn’t gone how she had planned at all. Clearing her throat, she stood, her knight shot to his feet as she turned to go to bed “Good night, Link. Thank you again. For the desert,” She paused, adding quietly, “And for dinner.” It felt weak, but so did she, the adrenaline had worn off a long time ago and creating conversation was seriously hard work with someone who’d been silent for months. She lay in bed, absentmindedly stroking her long plait. Drifting into an agitated sleep, dreaming of a boy who perhaps wasn’t the mindless killing machine, who had had everything in life given to him on a silver platter she had assumed him to be.
Her knight sat, ever vigilant, unsleeping, unwavering on the ground at the foot of her bed. Back to the post, right knee up, his arm resting across his knee heavily. Ready to protect His Princess at a moments notice… though his mind continually wandered to her uncharacteristic kindness that evening, the warmth that radiated through him when she’d touched his arm.

Wings plays BotW, Day Eighteen
Today was just dungeon-crawling, since I was at the stock show most of the day and came home tired. But...it was time to take on Vah Noboris!
I’m not the best with sand seals. Got shocked more than a couple times, but still managed it on the first go.
Upon entering the Divine Beast, I had a solid 5 minutes of ‘...yeah I’m clueless’.
I figured out exactly what I was supposed to do to get that one chest hanging by the rope! Like, I checked afterwards and everything. I just didn’t have the reflexes.
Slowly began to figure things out, with the most important realization being I could blow up those cracked walls to the outside. Like, I seriously thought that I shouldn’t do any damage to Noboris. I thought it wouldn’t work-a lot of the ancient Sheikah stuff messes me up (like not being able to climb most of it).
After that things started clicking, and I was able to access two of the terminals very quickly. Then I faced a new problem: how do I got up?
Had to remind myself a lot that I could switch off the current basically whenever I wanted. That’s how I got the chest in the spike/laser chamber and also got the tail to help me up.
So much goop. Also half the time I felt like I didn’t know what I was doing turning the levers.
I like Noboris’ neck a lot more than I liked Ruta’s trunk. The elevator was helpful.
Nice thing about having the powered up Rubber Set is that I could pick up the electric orbs and stuff. It did not help me find the electric orb. That was the only thing I ended up having to look up in this Beast. I’m proud of myself.
Thunderblight Ganon...Did not go as well as Waterblight Ganon...kind of. I did die to Waterblight once, but it was because I was severely under-prepared and got one-shot since I wasn’t thinking. In contrast, I took a ton of damage from Thunderblight (especially in the first half of the battle...but got through him on the first go). The Master Sword probably helped.
Again, the Rubber Set is the best thing ever.
The second half...I struggled for a bit. I kept trying to ignore the iron stakes he was dropping in favor if firing Bomb Arrows (given electricity doesn’t have an element it’s weak to, I figured bombs were better than nothing). At some point, around the time Urbosa told me to find a way to get rid of his shield, I remembered the whole ‘I have Magnesis and can move an iron stake close to him and he’ll shock himself’. Again, something I never would have figured out had I not watched LPs. But after that, with the help of the Master Sword, he went down pretty much immediately.
Noboris is free! Also have I mentioned I really like Urbosa? I really like Urbosa.
Got back to Gerudo Town, checked in with a bunch of people, then officially finished the Vah Noboris quest and got my rewards. Also activated the quest for the Thunderhelm because yes.
Found Patricia! Which was great because I needed a picture of her for the compendium. Apparently she’s an oracle? For a little while I thought the guard was playing a harmless trick on me, because I was putting mushrooms out right in front of her and she wasn’t reacting. Then I talked to the guard again and remembered she said fruit.
Last big thing of the day was to go back to my home in Hateno Village and have Bolson put up a new weapon display and a shield display for Urbosa’s treasures. Unfortunately, it seems I can’t make any more weapon displays (I already had the Lightscale Trident and the Ceremonial Trident displayed), so...I just want to honor my dead friends okay?!
And with that, two Divine Beasts have been reclaimed for our cause. I think I’ll continue clockwise and take on Medoh next, but not just yet. Gonna do some side quests and stuff first. Goals for tomorrow:
Go explore Hyrule Castle before anything else. I think it will lose that tension if I wait much longer, and go in feeling (relatively) confident.
Side quests! In particular, wrap up the Zora quests and start the Gerudo ones (meaning there’s a Molduga coming!).
Maybe find the last Great Fairy Fountain? I know exactly where it is, but I think I need a ton of Rupees, right? I also still haven’t activated the Horse Fairy Fountain (thankfully I haven’t needed to).
Maybe try those three labyrinth shrines that have the Barbarian set in them? I don’t need it, but just for the sake of doing it, you know?
Oh shoot I just realized I should go find Kilton because he’ll have a new mask for me! As usual, I’m open to any and all suggestions on what I should do, even if it’s ‘cook of bunch of X and then go here’. I’ve conquered two types of mini-bosses now (admittedly their weakest forms), so something tells me to bite the bullet and try a Talus, too. Espeically with the Molduga coming up (I’m honestly not too scared of the Molduga, tbh).

Breath of the Wild Adventure Log Day 19
Log 19
Oof it’s been a long time since I updated this log.
Guess what?
I beat the game.
Where I last left off I was exploring the dungeon of Hyrule Castle with the intent of simply exploring the castle and doing basic recon.
However, a particular somebody was around and free and sort of excited that I was so close to fighting Ganon and both of us figured I would just die quickly anyway.
So when I resumed I pretty much beelined for the main objective, after making sure I was healed up and had cooked a bunch of meaty meals.
When I entered I was surprised at what happened simply because I still didn’t know what to expect. The floor collapsed and I found myself far below Hyrule Castle facing a messed up spider version of Ganon. What I would realize later is that if I had not faced the Divine Beasts I would have to fight each of THOSE iteration of Ganon first...hence why I encountered Water Ganon upon my earlier encounter.
So because I had completed all of the Divine Beasts I was pleasantly surprised to see that HALF of Ganon’s health was drained. That’s good.
Oh, I’m pretty poorly equipped and trained at fighting Ganon. That’s bad.
Remember when I told you that I really wasn’t great at combat or doing timed anything in the game...so yeah.
The good news is I didn’t die.
The bad news is I spent a lot of time simply running and evading so that my Goron Shield power would work because once Ganon hit 1/4 health he became impervious to direct attacks.
Again, I figured if I was good at timed blocks I could get some openings on him but I wasn’t and I found myself low on health and food so I simply waited until my Goron shield regenerated and used that to create openings into attacking Ganon.
I also was not prepared for the Master Sword to continuously be useless 99% of the time. WTF! So I was also burning through all of my best swords that I had been saving.
It got pretty ridiculous how barebones the fight became. I was wondering if Link was any good at fisticuffs.
But lo and behold, I was patient and managed to beat spider Ganon and I was eager for the next fight because because we know there is another fight coming and also where the hell is Zelda?
So cutscene cutscene there’s Zelda and we’re outside for some reason and Ganon reappears as a giant 4-legged beast that just stands still while I shoot light arrows at it.
Ok.
This fight is weird and once again I am poorly trained because I barely rode any horses in the game and my horse keeps running INTO Ganon’s hooves and knocking me off.
I eventually hit Ganon in the weak spots enough and now I’m waiting for that final one-on-one battle and somehow it never happens.
WTF SERIOUSLY!?
That was it? That’s the end of the game?
I would come to understand later that like 99% of all gamers, this ending was disappointing but let me elaborate on my reasons.
1. We never have a direct encounter with Ganon. No villain speech, no threat of revenge, no mention of Triforces, no talk of how he even managed to do this for 100 years.
2. For a game this big and expansive and exploratory, having an ending that is so brief is embarrassing. People put in hundreds of hours to exploring this world and the conclusion is a lousy boss fight and even lousier cutscene that doesn’t really wrap anything up nor is there any discussion of the future.
3. We were supposed to believe that Zelda was in peril this entire time but nothing in her 13th hour presence indicated that she had been suffering or hurt. She seemed just fine and ready to help you. It was a HUGE deflation of HER narrative that the game had been building towards the entire time. In the end, she hands you a bow and arrow and tells you to do the rest. Not cool.
4. Looking back at almost EVERY other ending to a console LoZ game, this has got to be the worst. Wind Waker’s ending is epic. Ocarina of Time’s ending is epic and beautiful and tragic. Majora’s Mask has a better ending. A Link To The Past is a great ending (I love catching up with ALL of the characters in the world).
5. I know they wanted to reverse our expectations of what a Legend of Zelda game could be but that does not excuse what seems like a rushed and brief ending. It was like a person climaxing WAAY before they were supposed to.
So...as you can imagine I finished the game and then set about wrapping up all of the loose ends left, loose ends that I am still in progress on.
For one, I completed all of the shrine/side quests though there were several that did not appear in my quest log...thanks to the counter that appears once you complete the game I knew I had 3 that were unaccounted for. This meant though I had found the shrines/quests I had not interacted or triggered them properly in the game flow.
Most notably I had never actually found that demon statue that converts hearts into stamina and when I did find it, outside of Hateno, I was shocked that I had never seen it before.
I also never talked to the guy that points you towards the shrine that is triggered by flying in the air and firing an electric arrow into a target near Gerudo Cliffs.
And lastly, I had never read the tablet that explains how you have to get the shrine ball all the way around the spiral in Akkala.
Obviously, I also had lots of Korok seeds to find. When I finished the game I had less than 200 discovered. Because I completed the game only a few weeks before DLC 1 pack was released I decided to wait until I got the Korok mask to actually look for them directly.
The other giant task I had ahead of me was upgrading ALL of my clothes...and this was when I learned about how hard it was to get star fragments and dragon pieces unless you went online and found the shortcuts of when and where and how to get these things.
It was still daunting. I kept track of all the material I needed. I ended up having to collect over 50 star fragments and over a dozen parts from EACH dragon...so 36+. Near the end of this task I ran out of ruby and topaz so I had to grind for that too.
I finally completed it a few days ago. Fighting ALL of those Lynels sucked.
Since the DLC came out I quickly found all of the treasures. It was by chance that I found the Korok Mask as I was having a hard time navigating the Lost Woods again. I actually still don’t remember how to get through there.
I ended up having to cheat and look online because as it turned out, even though I was given clues to those locations, I had never been to many of them so they were not on my map. Who the hell spends that much time in Hyrule Field?
I tried the Trials of the Sword.
The first time I did not get very far at all and after 3 attempts and not doing very well I stopped and waited a few days. I was worried that it was too hard.
I tried again and got much further...12 rooms deep.
I tried again and the Hinox killed me. Ugh.
I tried again and took my time and was VERY patient...saving all of my weapons.
I fought the Hinox and made sure to utilize my abilities and defeated the Hinox easily.
To my surprise the trial ended and the Master Sword was upgraded A LITTLE.
I’d have to return again to charge it A LITTLE more.
I tried the 2nd stage of the trials. It was hard and I didn’t get past the 3rd room.
I haven’t returned yet though now that I KNOW there is a break in the trials I can better pace myself.
I’ve also been isolating areas and doing detailed explorations with the Korok Mask. I’m currently up over 300 seeds. I’ve scoured Hebra, Tabantha, and Gerudo Highlands (all the barren areas) as well as a few smaller areas in between.
I DO know that my reward for 900 seeds is not at all worth it all but I am a completionist and I fully intend on getting all of the seeds someday. I have a full slate coming up so I probably won’t have an update for another few months but hopefully by then I’ll have made some progress...maybe even completed the Trials of the Sword.
Thank you for following my journey.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Review
FYI - this will not be spoiler free. I don’t want anyone venturing into my review expecting me to only critique graphics or rave over the nostalgia I had with other games. I am including my entire review of the game under the read more.
Breath of the Wild is easily one of the best games that I have ever played. It was an endless adventure from start to finish. One of the complaints that many people have had for Skyward Sword is that they felt that for parts of the game you have your hand held too much. There is not enough freedom to decide how the storyline is going to move along or all the different ways to figure out a sidequest. Breath of the Wild is created in a fashion that you only are really being guided or having your hand held in the Great Plateau area (which is the first area). You have to complete four shrines before you can venture on quests across the rest of the area. I liked the easement into playing Breath of the Wild because when you begin in the Great Plateau region you do not encounter many difficult enemies. You just have to fend yourself from some bokoblins, and there’s one or two guardians that don’t pose much threat.
I wanted to begin my review of the game by explaining my general feel for the game. I’m going to delve deeper into my feelings about different parts of the game in the little categories below.
Storyline
I loved the story of Breath of the Wild. It was weaved together so artistically. The memories really gave you insight into how the war progressed 100 years ago. You also learn how each of the characters viewed Link as the hero, and he had to earn everyone’s respect. That reminded a lot of Twilight Princess or Ocarina of Time. There are characters living in Hyrule don’t want to admit that Link could be the hero to save them because he’s so ordinary. Now that 100 years have passed, most of the characters seemed to have given up on thinking that there’s a hero coming. The only tribes that immediately recognize you as being the champion are the Zora because they remember you from 100 years ago. The other tribes or races are very questionable of Link because they think he could be the enemy in disguise.
I loved the fact that they pulled technology into Breath of the Wild, and they used it as Hyrule’s downfall. It connected to Skyward Sword’s Lanayru region where all the ancient robots and technology advances had ended up coming to their own downfall. It kinda endorses that lesson that you should not mess around with things that you do not understand fully. The guardians and divine beasts were easily taken over by Ganon which led to terrible fate that happened 100 years ago. Link and the champions died as a resultant of the collective failure.
Part of me wishes that Ganon had taken the form of Ganondorf again. Ah, I loved Ganondorf and his dialogue. Ganon was still a great enemy don’t get me wrong, but there’s always the epic villain dialogue with Ganondorf. I thought that the ending of Breath of the Wild foreshadowed a future game following it that would be coming. The idea that evil is really never finished which was great I loved that part. It is something that has been a theme in all the Zelda games. Evil has not been finished for eternity, and there will be a temporary peace. This is true for Ocarina of Time to Twilight Princess because Link is the descendent of the Hero of Time and there is not a 1000 year time period between the two games at all. It’s probably within the timespan of 100 years.
I’ll probably be one of the few people to admit that I found the ending not to be that epic. There’s so much build for the ending of the game and I just felt that it wasn’t as fulfilling of an ending. It was just so abrupt and the game just ends with “Do you really remember me?” I find it really sweet, but I guess I wish there was more pulling in of the other characters into the ending besides Link and Zelda. I love the ending to Twilight Princess because it really leaves you heartbroken over Midna, and the player is able to imagine what might have occurred as a result to the characters affected. I’m not insinuating this is the worst ending of all time, but it seemed like a let down. My feelings are probably subject to change on this matter.
Characters
I thought a lot of the characters in this game were a lot more complex than they have been in past games. I’ve heard one of the biggest complaints about Princess Zelda being too “emotionless” or too “selfless”. In Breath of the Wild, the creators decided to explore a different side of her personality that I would probably say is left out in the games. Zelda has struggles and she’s easily frustrated by her own failures. She still has the signature Princess Zelda traits, but they added those traits that we often miss from her character.
I loved all the Champions (even Revali). I did not think of them as carbon copies of old Zelda characters that the creators felt like referencing again. Mipha is far different from Ruto in her mannerisms and the way she speaks. Daruk is not another Darunia or Darmani. He may be a Goron hero, but he doesn’t exhibit the same characteristics as either of those two leaders. Revali probably had the most annoying personality of all of the champions, but he grows on you over time. I think Revali is a lot easier to relate to because he really wants to be the best (cue the Pokemon theme song), but he’s not the chosen one. He’s struggling to handle that which inevitably leads to him treating Link in a depreciating manner. Urbosa doesn’t really have any resemblance to Nabooru for me besides her being a great Gerudo leader.
I don’t think I’ll be the first to say it, but I loved the Yiga clan. I thought it was so fun to encounter any of the members as you walked along the paths in the game. I encountered a Yiga clan member before I even realized there was a Yiga clan in the game because I had not interacted with Impa about it. Once you get into the Haunted Wasteland region, you get to interact with the Yiga clan hideout. I loved sneaking into the hideout and throwing bananas to trick the Yiga clan members. A signature trait of the Zelda games is giving all the enemies these odd quirks, which for the Yiga clan is their weakness for bananas. You might think that the Yiga clan leader would be intimidating and strong, but nope he’s the complete opposite. In deeper analyzation, you do realize how evil the clan is, but you can still look at the clan as the jokester enemies.
Gameplay
Breath of the Wild had one of the smoothest graphics and gameplay that I’ve ever played. The coolest part of the game I thought was the ability to see so much distance. You could really picture yourself inside the game witnessing all this beautiful scenery from the side of the mountain you’re climbing. I think one of my favorite parts of playing the game was being able to run and move the camera to the front of Link and watch the Guardians begin to chase after Link. I honestly think the Guardians are one of the coolest additions to this Zelda game.
Overall, I do not have really any complaints about a majority of the enemies in the game. Most of them appeared really difficult to beat if you did not have the correct weapons or shields. Lynels were easily the most difficult enemy to defeat in the open world portion of the game. I didn’t beat my first one until I had beaten all four divine beasts. Once I got the barbarian clothing set and got strong weapons, it was a lot easier to attempt to kill all these enemies.
My biggest complaint regarding the gameplay was the glitching. The Kokiri Forest where the master sword is located had the most beautiful graphics in the entire game. It was probably the glitchiest area on the entire map as well. As much as I loved the forest, I did not want to stay in any glitching region on the map, so I would spend the least amount of time in the forest as I could.
However, that was not the most annoying glitch in the entire game. The red moon was a nice idea to just have the enemies regenerate every few game days at midnight. This way the creators had an excuse to respawn the enemies. When I was playing the game probably every day a month or so ago, my game got to the point where the red moon would randomly spawn in the middle of the day. It would be 3 p.m. in the game and I just finished defeating all these enemies and they would suddenly respawn. This means I lost all my rewards and have my heart container refilled. Once I stopped playing the game so frequently, the glitching had eventually stopped. It was still a glitch that should not have been as bad as it was.
Voice Acting
This was probably one of my least favorite parts of the game. I’m not really big into voice acting for video games to begin with. I like to imagine the voices myself, and often times, I find myself annoyed with the voices gaming companies choose for characters. If anyone reads any of my posts, then they know that Princess Zelda is one of my favorite characters of all time. In Breath of the Wild, I found myself more off put by her character, which is mainly due to the voice actress they chose. It appeared that they wanted her to have this royal, sort of posh voice which just came off annoying because of how forced it sounded. I thought most of the other voices were fine and fit the characters to an extent, and it would have been fine if they had gotten another voice actress for Zelda.
Clothing & Cooking
I loved all the different outfits you could receive in the game. I got a good portion of them, but I did not max out all the clothing options. My favorite outfit is the tunic for the Hero of the Wild because it’s the signature Link outfit for all the games. That was probably the hardest outfit to max up in levels, and you can’t get it until you finish every single shrine in the game (there’s 120 of them). I really liked using Barbarian armor because your attack went up with that entire outfit. Of course, the champion’s tunic is one of my favorites as well. I think there really isn’t an outfit I disliked in this game. I loved dressing Link in traditional Gerudo garb when he needed to get into the Forbidden City. Oooh, the dark link outfit is sooo cool just based off the looks, but your night speed increases by a ton. It’s so nice.
Anyway, the cooking in this game was nice because you didn’t have to cut a bunch of grass to get hearts. You could make these really healthy meals that would max out all your heart containers and give you extra hearts. Creating elixirs was a great addition to the game because you can’t consume meals when your hearts are maxed out. However, most elixirs do not give back hearts so they just increase your your speed or defense up a level or two. The elixirs last as long as the time that’s associated with them and it’s not game speed hours- it’s real time. The combination of clothing and cooking made this game so fun. I still felt bad for killing the animals in Breath of the Wild despite it being a critical component of the game.

Cadence Of Hyrule Review
Cadence Of Hyrule mixes Crypt Of The Necrodancer and Zelda into a unique rhythm-based roguelike. Is it a match made in heaven or should you stick to traditional Zelda? Check out our review and find out what we thought of the game.
Cadence Of Hyrule Review
When you first boot up the game, you will be playing as Cadence, a young woman who is trapped in Hyrule and is not sure why she is here. After a brief tutorial, you get to choose between Link or Zelda to play. Link is more straightforward in my opinion because he can hold his shield up longer and deflect enemies attacks easier. Zelda has magic, though, and she can manually control where her fireball goes, making her more powerful but also more challenging to play. After you choose, you are thrust into this games version of Hyrule and tasked with clearing four dungeons to gain access to Hyrule Castle. Easier said than done.
For those of you unfamiliar with the roguelike game type, you can expect to die, a lot. I would say on average the first hour, or two will be spent trying to learn the games rhythm-based combat and memorizing enemy patterns. You also lose certain items and Rupees when you die. If this sounds overwhelming already, don’t worry, it is just a lot of one-two one-two on the Dpad. You can turn off the rhythm part of the combat as well, but I didn’t get nearly as much enjoyment out of that. When I beat the game, I had 36 deaths total and a little over nine hours of play time.
So let’s get into how the actual game works. Moving to the beat, you will go one square at a time until you run into an enemy. If you move towards the enemy during the beat, you will attack them with your equipped weapon. For basic enemies just running straight at them works but eventually, they will have shields and armor so you’ll need to move around them a bit more. As far as enemies are concerned, you get a lot of Zelda classics. The knights from A Link to the past, Chu Chus, Poes, Deku Scrubs, Bokoblins, and Lynels, to name a few.
While your main task is to clear the dungeons, the land of Hyrule is full of other places to explore. Kakariko village Village and Gerudo Valley have Bombchu bowling and Archery Contests. The Lost Woods lures in wayward travelers in and tosses them right back out unless they know the right path. Cracked walls are waiting for you to throw a bomb at them, revealing their secrets and hidden merchants. Fortune tellers are waiting to take your hard-earned Rupees to help point you in the right direction. And of course, the great fairies are waiting to be found so our weary heroes can heal up and relax.
While we are talking about Rupees, let’s go over the two currencies in the game. Zelda’s traditional Rupees are earned by beating enemies, looting chests and can just be found in bushes. You can spend these on various items, potions, and some equipment upgrades. When you die, you lose all Rupees, so there is no sense in hoarding them. Diamonds are the second currency, and these matter a bit more important early one. Diamonds are used to buy things at the Death store, upgrade weapons, and occasionally trade with certain merchants for special gear. You do not lose these when you die, and they are earned by clearing a whole room of enemies. Harder to get but also more valuable early game.
Cadence Of Hyrule allows you to use multiple different weapons on each character, but no one can use all weapon types. For instance, Zelda and Cadence can use a dagger, but Link cannot. You start with one weapon on your character and have to find the rest. You can then use your diamonds to upgrade most weapons with special effects like poison or extra damage. The weapons also have different attack types, so a spear has more reach, but a broadsword hits multiple enemies at once. I was very impressed by the amount of weapon options you are given on most characters. That said there is no hammer, and that is a crying shame.
My chief complaints about the game come from how easy it eventually gets. There was a point where I just felt in tune with the game and didn’t die for probably five hours, and steamrolled the dungeons. I thought the dungeons were put together well, but the lack of challenge left me a bit disappointed. Another thing is you eventually run out of things to buy with both Rupees and Diamonds. After I beat it, I wanted to go back and play more, but outside of starting a new game, I didn’t see any reason to. That doesn’t take away from the fun I had playing it; I just wanted more.
So the big question left is, how is the music? The answer is fantastic. When I started with Link, I went over a beach square, and the music hit me like a brick. The overworld theme has Tal Tal Heights, Hyrule Field, and The Great Sea all on one track. That might sound like a mess, but as soon as I heard it, all I wanted to do was explore. This whole game is just one awesome remixed song into another. Its a massive play on nostalgia, yes, but it works wonders — special shoutout to the Windmill Hut Song Of Storms remix.
If you are a Zelda fan, then this should be a no brainer. Anyone who likes great music, fun gameplay, and action RPGs should also pick this up.

Fanfic Progress Update 58
Hi<3 Time to do a Fanfic Progress Update, as is the done thing on Saturdays. Stay tuned to the end of this post for a spoiler-y glimpse into the next chapter of Adventure gone Mini AND a new exciting Hazbin oneshot!
Chapter 37 is finished and will be posted on 8th of April. Chapter 38 hasn’t been started.
Gen)
Progress: The first two chapters are finished (with some heavy editing still required for the second one). The third chapter has been started.
—–
Progress: Chapter 9 is the current latest chapter and was posted on 27th of March. Chapter 10 is about 2/3 done and is scheduled for 10th of April (Friday). This story will have at least seven more chapters, but who even knows at this point. Additional prompts are not accepted at this moment.
This fic receives a new chapter every Tuesday and Friday, unless something comes up. I’ll post a sneak-peek for Tuesday’s chapter on these updates, and one for Friday’s chapter in a separate post on Wednesday.

What boundaries?
Fandom: Hazbin Hotel Summary: It was a fact that Alastor was incapable of existing in the same room – or even the same house – as Husk without initiating some form of physical contact on a constant basis. Husk swore it wasn't what it fucking looked like. Too bad nobody ever believed him. Alastor actively stroking his chest fur as he made the claim probably didn't help his case. Progress: Hey it’s a new thing! This is a very long oneshot (6000 words so far, and still missing a bit) that I’ve been randomly working on all week instead of writing the things I should have been writing! : D But that’s fine, this is almost finished now and I’m going to get this done and posted by 7th of April (Tuesday). ...Is this Radiohusk, you ask? Hehe, you’ll have to read and find out~ And look! There’s a sneak-peek for this at the end of this post! ;)

That’s it for the WIPs! Here is the promised sneak-peek into Adventure gone Mini and What boundaries?
It didn't seem like he was going to be running out of adventures anytime soon. Good. They arrived to the town hall before they could get too deep into their speculations, which may have been for the best. Said hall was very small. In fact, it seemed more like a-
"Welcome to my home!" Misteri said, arms wide and a smile on her face. Yep, that's what Link thought. "We don't actually have a set town hall as there really isn't that much of a need for one. It's just the home of however is in charge, and that's been me for the last few years. Make yourselves comfortable; I'll prepare the dinner!"

What boundaries?
Husk should have known this would fucking happen. Honestly, he couldn't believe he hadn't seen this coming, because this was a fucking inevitability.
What was "this", one might ask? "This" was Alastor hanging onto his person every fucking time they were in the same room for literally any amount of time. This very moment was a prime example of the phenomenon. Alastor and Charlie had entered the lobby together, discussing something or another about the hotel's development. They had walked over to the window that had a view of the hotel's front yard and stopped there to continue their discussion. Husk, at the time, had been at the bar counter, as per usual. But within the first five minutes of the pair's appearance he suddenly found himself no longer leaning against the counter and making cherry blossom strings out of the paper packagings the plastic straws were wrapped in, but instead he was between Alastor and Charlie, with Alastor's arm around his shoulders and his pointy nose nuzzling his cheek while the guy continued the conversation like nothing was amiss.
He had to give Alastor some measure of credit: they had been at the hotel for three entire days now and this hadn't happened in front of company until right then. His summoning here not counting.

Fanfic Progress Update 57
Hello, people and other creatures! Let’s take a look at the Fanfic Progress Update, as we do every Saturday. Stay tuned to the end of this post for a spoiler-y glimpse into the next chapter of Adventure gone Mini BUT this time not Hah! Our afterlife is the most hilarious bushwa, dearest. I’ll explain.
This week hasn’t been kind to me. I’ve had a bout of random apathy for days now (happens sometimes, nothing to worry about), which has made me mostly unable to do things like writing fanfics. So, I don’t have anything to post the next week, as I haven’t finished anything postable. I’m hoping this apathy abates sometime during the next few days so that I can resume my schedule for the week after next week, but I suppose we’ll have to wait and see. You’ll get news on this next Saturday, as per usual.
In the meanwhile, the next week is the Radiohusk week (as decided on in the Radiohusk Discord server), so there should be plenty of fics and art from other shippers for you to enjoy!<3
Chapter 37 is about 3/4 done and is scheduled for 8th of April. This hasn’t been hindered by the thing above at this point of time.
I post a new chapter every three weeks on Wednesdays. These updates always include a sneak-peek for the next chapter, slowly getting longer over the three weeks waiting period.

Gen)
Progress: The first two chapters are finished (with some heavy editing still required for the second one). The third chapter has been started.
