now that I've already talked about how much I love Derry girls season 1 ending,,, it's time to talk about season 2 ending and the way I adore the fuck out of it

because because no. 1 the buildup for the speech in the end works so well with the previous episode and the way the ceasefire is declared while the girls are being girls and being silly goofy,, but but but the ending is so cool because while it gives us the contrast between Derry girls and Derry adults in a manner similar to the first season but also, it is such a crucial moment in time and history for them and they are so excited to witness it and be there for it and suddenly James is leaving and their personal and political beliefs and interests are pitted against each other and for them,,, while they want to be there to witness the political moment, their friend is leaving and this is something that they cannot turn their back on and they would rather look at and hope their friend has come back,,, so while everyone else is looking at and awaiting the arrival of Bill Clinton, they are looking at James who at that point in time is more central and important to them

and the fact that it's Michelle that tells him that he's a Derry girl and that he belongs in Derry is so so so apt and needed because throughout it can be understood that Michelle is the one most irked by his inclusion in their group (even when it's in jest) and the one who (to me) has the least bonding moments w him and she's family,,, so it means so much more coming from Michelle than it would have, if someone else from the main cast said the same things

If I had unlimited time and creativity, I'd write a fanfic swapping the villains in Thor: Love and Thunder and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

I feel like it'd be interesting for Thor's character to be put up against Kang, wrestling with time itself amidst his losses, and Thor is much more powerful than Scott so it wouldn't be wonky to see him "defeat" Kang.

And I think it'd be hilarious for Ant-Man to be accidentally mistaken as a god in the quantum realm, C-3P0 style, and then Gorr the Godbutcher just shows up and is mad at being duped but they eventually bond and Ant-Man helps Gorr recover his daughter for the right reasons.

Well, after the boys left that very bad warehouse, they went back to snowrunner, and were just as entertaining there. the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again
