The Future is Mushrooms.
I am unreasonably mad that in the future, spaceships will not only have a couple of gardens where they can grow carrots and shit, but a couple of colony mushrooms that will be a perfect replacement for meat products. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Ddm19iG-2eA The link leads to a dude who describes mushrooms that taste exactly like some farm animals.
This angers me and I think it’s because it just shits all over the old idea of space travel where everyone is getting replicated food and it’s like 5 star level dishes. This will happen, but instead of atoms and matter split and slapped together to create your food, it’s all fucking mushrooms made to look like the 5 star plates of food.
#I know it will still taste Awesome but fuck man#I just wanted us to be advanced but it's all just going to be MUSHROOM#If we ever meet Mushroom people they will think of us as monsters
