Literally, what was the point of s8? The only thing it left us was a main character dead and that's it. Like, in the future looking back will be like: "oh yes, the season where they killed off bobby nash" and that's it. None of the others "significant" moments for the characters where actually significant because most of the main plots where abandoned and/or sidelined. So, what was the point?

Yes exactly! I'm not an expert on the writers either but that just shows how bad it really is when I, a total idiot, can tell what episode was written by someone different. Or see the name of a writer and know oh so we won't be getting any buddie in this episode. That's crazy, they should have a vision for their characters or at least continue their stories. They spent an entire season torturing them and then in the end there was no realization, no consequence, no agency, just all wrapped up in a bow. It makes no sense 😭 and the beginnings of those stories were so promising!

I think it's dire when even casual fans and journalists point out that they missed out on buddie moments and too much happened off screen. They really can't afford this after killing the lead of the show. They need to get their shit together for s9.

MHMMM . Like I even saw and heard that the GA hated the finale and found it SUPER lackluster . It sucks to say that the finale was absolute ass , it really does suck because I do love this show and it sucks to see that the writers just . Did whatever the fuck they wanted just because they wanted a paycheck ... there was no love in the finale . There was no love felt with how they handled and ended all the characters arcs ... the earlier seasons had so much charm and love and funniness and angst but season 8 just felt like a fucking whirlwind of nothingburger . Nothing was concluded , it left off on a four minute dragged out montage of them doing things that they quite literally just established that the characters were dealing with in earlier plots ( Buck moving into Eddie's place , Athena selling the house , Hen and Karen finally adopting Mara . Even Maddie's goddamn pregnancy was off screen ) All of those 1 minute scenes at the end of the WHOLE season was just straight up bullshit . I'll say it . It was BS . They didn't deserve to have their entire arcs of the season being left off on a 1 minute shot in a montage . Hen and Karen should've had so much more time talking about and showing ( more of ) their family dynamic with Mara and finally officially adopting her after all the systematic bullshit they went through . Buck should've talked with Eddie about how they should've dealt with the house situation . Athena should've been shown weighing the pros and cons of selling the house her and Bobby were building up again . They left the season off with MORE questions than answers . Is Buck fucking moving AGAIN ? Where is Athena gonna live ? Why was Eddie still trying to go back to Texas ? Who's gonna be captain ? Are May and Harry just gonna disappear again ? Is there another reason Hen doesn't want to be captain ? Is Bobby fucking alive or dead ? And guess what . All of this could've been avoided if the writers just FUCKING TALKED TO EACH OTHER . And told each other what they wanted to see and what they wanted to write for the characters . I have no idea what the hell was going on in the writing room but I have a vision that it looked exactly like this .

god it's finally starting to sink in that bobby is DEAD dead. like he's gone. we're never gonna hear his little quips or his dry humour or his dad advice EVER again. i feel so sick. he never even got to see their house. THEIR house. i feel ill.

the thing is is that i don't think killing bobby this season was a good or interesting writing choice i think it was a mistake. and i might be in the minority there because i've seen lots of people saying they think his death makes sense from a story perspective even if they're sad about it but me personally i did not think it made ANY sense with where we were at and it was just done because they wanted to shock the audience. and last night was tim minear's chance to convince me that i was wrong or to at LEAST make the fallout from bobby's death interesting and meaningful. BUT IT DIDNT! it was a bad episode and it felt like it was barely about bobby's death at all. honestly if the writers weren't cowards they would have actually gone through with it and killed bobby at the end of season 7 when it at least made narrative sense. nancy wheeler voice it's all BULLSHIT

For personal reasons, I need one of 911 season 8 main plot points to be a love triangle centering on one Evan "Buck" Buckley. I long for Tommy and Eddie's cat fighting over this man, his time, and his love. I need Tommy and Eddie always trying to one-up each in the smallest things (I'm talking about who gets to buy Buck a coffee, who makes sure he gets home safe after a night out) give me Hen running a betting pool over who Buck will end up with, give me Tommy and Eddie still doing Muay Thai together and during these seasions of them doing Muay Thai it is broken up with vague threats over who loves Buck more ("Evan" Tommy corrects every time, Eddie always hits a little hard after that) give me Buck pretending like he has no clue this is going on but in truth, he feel unworthy of causing all this drama esspically when he finds out from Chris that it's messing with Eddie and Tommy's freindship, give me Buck going to Maddie for support finally admitting all the stress this is causing him, give me pissed off Maddie going big sister mode on both Eddie and Tommy telling them if they really love every part of Evan Buckley that they will stop this stupid cat fight and let him make up his own mind. Then. Then. Then. THEN in the season 8 finale in the very last scene in the wrap-up they do in every season give me some line about love and how it finds us i.e "And sometimes in a moment when its most inconvenient and unexpected love finds a way to make its way into our lives and despite it all, it finds a way to surprise us." (In my head the voiceover is Bobby) and we see Buck's home clothes are strewn in the hallway we see two male bodies cuddling in a bed. One we can't make out but the other is clearly Buck and we cut to a close-up of Buck who just says "I love you" THEN CUT TO BLACK COME BACK FOR SEASON 9 TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT.

I know the witchcraft and murder rumors surrounding the building were obviously about Snake Lady at the 4th floor but come on, the person who used to live in the 2nd floor seems kinda sus as well. Like, there's a recipe for an invisibility potion in their apartment:

Come on, you can't tell me these two things aren't related somehow! This doesn't even have to be a magic-related situation. For all we know, this could be another Unwanted Experiment type of problem where a scientist performed experiments (there was a lab rat after all) but during the process of moving out they forgot to keep an eye on whoever invisible dude is and just stayed on the 5th floor

Allan wanders out if the library doors with a pile of books and…. Blood? You’re eyes weren’t deceiving you, he had a smear of blood streaked across his face and a smug look to match. He just flashed a cheeky grin as he walked by and held up a book that was trying to snap at his face, but was bound with rope and twine. It’s cover was scratched and it appeared to be bleeding like an animal. Allan was unphased.

“If you think I look bad, you should see the book!” He grinned.

The castle hallways were unusually quiet as Nosy balanced majestically on the tail of the werewolf statue atop the fountain in the Central Hall, his sharp eyes scanning the ground below for any unattended shiny baubles or loose snacks that might've been left behind by careless students. The Teal King had already had a productive day, tucking away three knuts and what appeared to be a golden cufflink that would definitely fetch admiring looks later. Life was good.

That was until the library doors creaked open and Nosy's gaze snapped up. His little eyes narrowing as Allan strolled out, a wobbling pile of books in his arms. The human was one of the red ones, a Gryffindor, and the Niffler immediately squinted in suspicion. There was something… off.

For starters, there was a smear of blood streaked across the boy's cheek and a smug grin plastered on his face. Nosy tilted his head, curiosity thoroughly piqued. What in Merlin's saggy socks had this human been up to? The books in his arms looked ordinary enough, until one snapped at Allan's face, its jagged edges glinting ominously in the dim light. But Allan merely grinned, unphased by the feral tome that seemed determined to eat him whole.

"If you think I look bad, you should see the book!" the wizard grinned, holding up the bleeding menace like a trophy.

Nosy blinked, his eyes flicking between the wild, snarling book and the smug human. Oh, so this red dork wanted to show off? Before him? Before Nosy? Pff. Nosy puffed out his chest indignantly, just like Niffler Mama Will had taught him (though perhaps with more sass than grace). The little Niffler wasn't having this. The sheer nerve! Did that crimson clod think he was impressive? Please, mate. Nosy had defeated a pumpkin monster with his bare paws and his pea shooter just a few weeks ago! What did this guy have? A book? Pathetic!

With a loud and determined honk, the fluffy rascal leapt down, his teal fur bristling as he muttered squeaky curses under his breath, and landed squarely on the face of a mermaid statue at the base of the fountain in front of Allan.

He pointed an accusatory paw at the bitchy book and started to furiously waggle his little arms. The Niffler's gestures grew more dramatic as he mimed the epic battle of him firing his trusty pea shooter and toppling the fierce pumpkin monster all by himself!

Nosy'’'s message was simple. Everything you can do, I can do better. And if this Gryffindor thought he could outshine the Teal King, he had another thing coming.
