pairing: seonghwa x reader au: idol | friends to strangers | genre: angst word count: 1.1k synopsis: seonghwa didnt mean for things to end badly, but boy did he sure regreit when you released your newest album warning(s): angst w/ no comfort,
The news hit you like a wave, but your reaction was more of disbelief than anger. You felt the rush of emotions, but nothing felt concrete enough to grasp. Scoffing was an instinctual defense, but inside, you could feel the hurt begin to swell. The room felt tighter with each passing second, and you noticed your stylists exchanging uneasy glances, their eyes darting from you to each other. They were used to your sensitivity—your emotional shifts, your vulnerability—but they never knew how to manage it when it was raw.
You took a deep breath, trying to steady yourself. There was no point in crying here, you're supposed to go on stage here shortly.
" we're changing things up a bit. We're dropping fast times and adding please," You said, standing up from your chair.
Your manager looked at you in shocked, " but the dance crew - "
" we'll improvise, so what," Your voice was steady, but your mind was racing. The thought of performing in front of the audience—especially with everything weighing on you—felt almost suffocating. But you weren’t about to let it show. Your fans, many of them followers from your ex-boyfriend’s influence, were expecting the usual performance, but today you weren’t about to give them the usual.
Your manager hesitated, clearly unsure, but the finality in your voice was undeniable. You could see the wheels turning in their head, weighing the pros and cons. But you were already moving forward, walking over to your stylist and motioning to get the changes made quickly. The crew scrambled to adjust, knowing better than to push back now.
As the team worked to shift things around, you tried to collect yourself. You were angry—angry that you were here, angry that you were expected to hide it, and angry at him for making you feel so small. But the stage? The stage was yours. You could handle anything there.
You glanced at your reflection in the mirror, seeing a glimpse of someone who would take this betrayal, turn it into something raw and real, and give them a show they wouldn’t forget.
The energy in the air was electric as you stood under the spotlight, your heart still racing from the performance. You could feel the heat from the stage lights and the pulse of the crowd’s excitement, but for a brief moment, everything seemed to freeze. Their energy was contagious, and it was a welcome distraction from the chaos swirling in your mind.
A giggle escaped your lips, and the sound felt like the first real moment of joy in what had been a difficult day. "So, how is everyone?" you asked, your voice light and playful. The crowd roared in response, their cheers and screams vibrating through the floor beneath your feet.
You glanced around, letting the moment stretch just a bit longer. "My, such a loud crowd," you teased, a grin tugging at your lips. You could feel the love and support radiating from them, and for a moment, it made you forget everything else.
The crowd fell into an anticipatory hush, their eyes on you, hanging on your every word. You could feel their curiosity building, the tension electrifying the air. This was your moment to reclaim control, to remind everyone, and maybe even yourself, that you were still the one in charge.
You paused, letting the suspense linger just a bit longer, enjoying the attention before delivering the punch. "So, I have a surprise for you guys tonight. Very last minute!" you said, your tone playful, yet laced with a hint of mystery.
The crowd erupted in cheers, excited whispers rippling through them as they eagerly tried to guess what was coming. You could feel the thrill of it, a spark of excitement that momentarily distracted you from the storm brewing inside.
Without missing a beat, you motioned to the crew, signaling them to get ready. "I know you all came for the usual, but tonight, we’re doing something a little different. Trust me, it'll be worth the wait."
A few staff members gave you questioning looks, but you ignored them. You were already moving, already shifting the plan and taking charge. The surprise you were about to reveal wasn’t just for them—it was for you, too. A new version of yourself, one who was taking back the power and refusing to let anyone—especially him—define you.
The crowd’s confusion was palpable as the first few notes of the new song filled the arena. They hadn’t expected this, and it was clear from their puzzled expressions that they were trying to process what was happening. But you could feel the shift, the collective curiosity rising in the air.
With a small, knowing smile, you leaned into the mic, voice smooth and confident. "This is my new upcoming song, Please, releasing in a few months, but I think you guys deserve a treat."
The audience’s murmur of surprise quickly turned into cheers, the promise of something fresh and exclusive lighting up their faces. You could hear a few excited whispers in the crowd, some fans already buzzing with anticipation at the idea of hearing something new before anyone else.
Seonghwa’s fingers drummed anxiously on the surface of his desk, his mind racing through the consequences of his actions. His heart felt heavy, and the silence in his dorm room seemed to echo every doubt that had crept into his mind. He knew he should have been more careful, but now it felt like the damage was already done.
He muttered to himself, a mixture of frustration and regret in his voice. "Fuck, did I really mess up..."
The guilt gnawed at him, and he paced in a tight circle, rubbing the back of his neck. The wait was unbearable. His manager had gone off to handle the fallout, but Seonghwa wasn’t sure what kind of news would come back—he only knew that whatever it was, it wouldn't be good.
Seonghwa's head snapped up, his eyes meeting Hongjoong's, a mix of guilt and anger flashing in them. The words stung more than he’d expected, but deep down, he knew Hongjoong was right. He had been caught up in something he shouldn't have been, and now he was facing the consequences.
"She's on tour... how can I do that to her?" Seonghwa muttered, his voice almost a whisper, like he was trying to convince himself that it wasn’t as bad as it seemed.
Hongjoong’s expression didn’t soften. He crossed his arms, his gaze unwavering. "And cheating on her was the best idea?" he asked, his voice tinged with frustration. "You think that’s any better?"
Seonghwa’s chest tightened as the weight of Hongjoong's words hit him like a brick. He had no defense, no excuse. He had let his emotions cloud his judgment, and now he had hurt someone he cared about deeply. "I didn’t mean for it to happen," Seonghwa muttered, his voice barely above a whisper. "I messed up. I’m... I’m trying to fix it."
The door creaked open, and his manager stepped inside, their face grim. Seonghwa’s stomach twisted as he met their gaze, knowing that whatever was about to be said would change everything.

I need to say this somewhere
I think Ryan Reynolds is fucking right to be trying to get Oscar nominations. I know alot of people think DP3 is too goofy and not substantial enough of a film to earn one, and that the odds arent in his favor because Superhero flicks never get any love at the Oscars, but fuck off man the Oscars are a joke.
Ryan and Hugh are fantastic actors. They did a great job. But aside from just the literal performances, for me, they are the true embodiment of all the good shit an actor should be. To be passionate and dedicated to a role, to have fun and make a movie an experience. They delivered the heart of the movies through Deadpool and Wolverine.
The earnings dont lie. The film clearly enraptured a lot of people. It's one of the few movies that i know for a fact that MOST people saw more than once at the theatre.
The sheer effort and tenacity it took for Ryan to kickstart a Deadpool franchise and keep it going to this point, as well as the dedication it took for Hugh to get into shape like that at his age and deliver that performance is easily worth at the very least a nomination. Ryan and Hugh's careers have been so meaningful and examplary for what we love about the concept of an actor to anyone thats followed the Deadpool and Xmen movies.
Certifiably terrible movies have gotten nominations, films that were clearly basic run of the mill fodder. Next time you hear someone say something like "Well DP3 was good, but it's not Oscar good." Remember that these trash heaps got nominations:
Norbit (Best Makeup...yknow for like the fat suit i think idek be so fr rn)
The Blind Side (Best Picture, Best Actress(sandra bullock WON 💀)
Dr. Dolittle (Best Picture + 8 more. Movie was fine, but Fox went to BAT for this one for some reason it didnt deserve all that)
War Horse (Best Picture, Best Cinematography) (this one was like, fine too but...idk who fuckin cares)
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Best Sound Mixing) (entire movie sounded like glass in a blender wdym)
Escape from Tomorrow (WON 6 Oscars and was just about some schmuck being horny at Disneyland)
Im not even gonna mention the animated films, because MY GOD (ok i'll mention two, The Boss Baby and Sharktale)
The Oscars are decided by out of touch numbnut losers, but goddamnit are they one hell of a notch in your belt. If Ryan gets nominations and wins even one award, he might get more free reign, and that's what I want. I want that man as free and unhinged as possible for as long as possible because he is good at it goddamnit. Every comic book/superhero film fan should be rooting for Ryan to succeed so we can get more passion in these movies and less formulaic BS from execs.
Dont be fooled into putting more stock in the illusion of high standards these old farts want to give off than in the genuine dedication of a man and his passion projects.

https://x.com/_allthatglitz/status/1865767505974960216 these charles fans need a wake up call. like are they not familiar with idk cota 2018? p18 to p2? no sc? one second away from the lead? max been delivering these kind of performances since he was a 20 year old like... he is not HIM..
Here's the twt for ref. Dont usually reply to asks about 'controversial' f1twt nonsense because like .. there's a reason p0sts like these are contained to Elons stanford experiment but I am familiar wid this person and wud like to discuss her twt further because I find it very puzzling and telling of something some sharl fans shud prolly work up the courage to confront and then like. Find peace or whtvr
Sara here a sharl fan like me. Theres a lot she believes about his qualities as a driver that I do as well. Shes fully convinced he cud be a multiple wdc winner, as am I, and that its a matter of car and personnel for it to happen. Nothing that he lacks has to do wid his lack of legacy so far. I agree wid all of that. So when I saw ur ask and read that twt my first reaction wasnt to be angry just . Puzzled. For somebody whos obvi such a strong believer in sharls' skill to think that a race like Abu Dhabi has anything to do wid Brazil.. How shud I put this, its kind of insulting. To Sharl. Like if u think these drives are in any way comparable that says more about u think Sharls limits are than what makes a drive 'the best'. Sharl hasnt had the machine, the pressure, the conditions or the narrative to complete a turn around like Brazil. But lets put Max's Brazil aside for now, and focus on Abu Dhabi, since thats whats being claimed as the performance that 'stole the race of the season'.
Ferrari arrived in Yas Marina ready to make a final stand, and , extraordinarily, still showing the pace to do so. Mclarens setup was akin to a sentient Dyson wid evil powers, but Ferrari had 2 drivers wid strong AD precedents and Mclaren , wid all due respect, pistachio my most beloved, did not. After dominating fp1, it became evident in fp2 something was wrong wid car 16, and it was announced he wud take a 10 place grid drop to fit a new battery in his horse for quali. The sole vaccinated cavallino on track, Carlos, managed a p4 in the final practice session. It was safe to assume Carlos wud make the front row in quali and sharl wud join him comfortably and begin his hunt from p10. They had a shot. Then sharl missed it. Mclaren completed the front row lockout, Sharls lap time got deleted for track limits in q2 after topping the charts and he never had the chance to disrupt papaya dominance in q3. Out of position, wid a new battery and a teammate in p2 who wud never catch the mcl38 in clean air, that was it. Sharl began the race wid imo the finest first lap of his career, sublime braking and steering into p8. From that point forward, the race was his to manage, and he did so brilliantly. Both horses took advantage of the 1st lap chaos in different ways, but while Carlos' delta to Lando meant he never did the 1 single overtake that actually mattered, Sharls delta to everyone else meant he overtook like 1 car per lap except the 1 that shud have been his to take but couldn't. As he reached George, he undercut the Mercedes, slot into fourth and waited for Lewis to pit. In the end, if Sara wants to bow to that I'll bow wid the bitch no problem. A perfectly executed race, well managed, 16 positions gained, a podium finish. Bend over, ass out, for sure. Again, I beg we remain focused on Abu Dhabi tho. So lets straighten our backs and really look at it. The 2nd fastest car qualified p19 thru driver error and made up 16 places. He finished 25 seconds behind his teammate, who in turn finished 6 seconds behind Lando. In its usual one stopper bore fest, once Lando's mcl38 bolted those hards on low fuel, as a distinguished 2024 ptsd riddled verstappie connoisseur, i knew Carlos hopes to win were dead and buried. Why they didnt just use the pit window to put Carlos on mediums and let him off into the sunset I'll never kno, but thats neither here nor there. Ferrari lost the wcc by the smallest margin since F1 started giving out points for race winners like candy ((25 instead of 10)). 14 points between both teams. Sharl definitely didnt lose Ferrari the wcc. This my analysis of his Abu Dhabi. Sara is very into having Opinions so I'm sure shes got her fair share on my take of those quali consequences, but they did matter. Just like lap 1 incidents matter. Like pace advantage matters. Like DRS matters. Abu Dhabi has 2 DRS zones along 2 straight lines, the point on any track where the sf-24 always finds lap time. One of Sara's arguments is that Abu Dhabi, unlike Interlagos, does not favor comeback drives and thats 1 of the reasons Sharls drive was more impressive than Brazil. .. 🫥 .. In 2021 Yas Marina went thru a series of changes including aforementioned DRS zones and faster corners. Chicanes 5 and 6 were turned into a single wider hairpin, specifically to promote more overtaking, where interestingly enough sharl went outside 4 cars before entering the DRS all the way to t9 in his quest to p4.
Comparing Sharl's Abu Dhabi to Max's Brazil is already extremely odd, but doing so to hype up this season's Abu Dhabi OVER Brazil's in a rage batey type of p0st that included the sentence 'no SC, no particular car advantage, no rain' was so fucking deranged even coming from f1twt I was kinda fascinated and HAD to investigate. I think the reason she felt the need to say all that was because 1) seasons over and they lost the wcc and I think we're all allowed 1 insane take for the Troubles 2) theres 0 to no chance Max's performance in Brazil will be replicated in our lifetime, because Interlagos was not Max's 'best race of the season', it was one of the best drives in Formula 1 history. If ur a sharl fan, and ur next teammate is Lewis Hamilton, I think perhaps a drive like Abu Dhabi's race where sharl was virtually flawless and displayed his potential to the fullest, is something u have to shove next to Brazil, because otherwise you've got nothing. Yet. YET. Thats what bothers me sm wid these fake ass marc herve fans, is that by saying shit like this, by comparing an exemplary comeback stint in Abu Dhabi to a drive that redefined the limits of whats possible to do on a wet track and flipped the odds on a championship title at the same time, they're saying sharl isnt capable of anything remotely close to that. Now I'm not sure what Sara's standards for sharl are, but they sure as fuck arent the same as mine. I think Sharls 2025, like 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, will be an improvement. If its Max hes meant to dethrone, then as a verstappie theres nothing more I yearn than to c how it happens. If its Lewis, the feelings the same. When u trust ur dogs to bite, u dont need to put up signs. People will know because they growl. My sharl bares teeth.
Back to my og point. Verstappen's 2024 has nothing to do wid sharl's 2024. Sharl accomplished so many beautiful things in 2024. Conquered Monaco, Monza, delivered great wheel, worked thru a rough path and became one of the season's most consistent performers, went h2h for constructors till the very end in a car that only became competitive halfway into the season. Focus on that, relish in that p3, the potential of that development, Lewis' hiring and the power he brings, the challenge, the potential start of an undeniable legacy for both, or maybe just 1. Max's 2024 doesnt fit in any of this. Brazil had nothing to do wid any of this. Release yourself from the clutches of a mold that cant be replicated because the child it came out broke it at 17. Sharl is not Max, and thats fine, he'll be something else. Maybe better, maybe not. Arent u excited to find out. Wouldst u want to live deliciously instead of angering Max fans on twt because ur jealous they already do

alright i have wtched several hours of videos about Silent Hill: Downpour and i dont think i'll ever play it because i dont like bad games mostly, but during these several hours i've cottoned on to something a substantial percentage of Silent Hill mega fans (not me im a casual) have also noticed, which is that the guy who voices the protagonist, Murphy, is unbelievably talented and somehow managed to deliver the performance of a lifetime in the middle of what is widely agreed to be the worst Silent Hill game until very recently. the actor's name is David Boyd Konrad.
there are lots of comments like this under any video about the game, it didn't go unnoticed.
i was watching some lambasting of the game in the background recently while doing something else and not looking at the screen and the line delivery was so good it didnt even sound like a game anymore. the writing isnt great, it's not even noticeable, which for a video game is actually pretty good, the norm being somewhere in the "this writing sucks noticeably" area even for, or especially for, AAA titles, but somehow they got a vocal performance out of this guy that should have made a name for him in one swing. but instead he is ungoogleable (either completely obscure and off social media, or using a pseudonym) and has never been in anything else under that name.
his most arresting few seconds of vocal performance are probably the very funny terror slide screams, but he's just solidly good or even great through the entire game. the dialogue isnt good, its ust basic video game crap, but he does his best with it. not every scene is good or interesting, but some of the lines are delivered so well. which is so so so so so rare for any guy with the Video Game Protagonist (Nolan Batman subtype) specialization. rockstar should have booked him for their next three titles immediately. he should have won whatever awards they give these guys. it's so cool that he showed up for a terrible game, gave the performance of a lifetime, and then vanished.
edit: specifically its the screams. ive never ever heard a male VA scream that convincingly for anything. when the monsters are getting on him he just lets it rip, its incredible

what's ur favorite erb?
i dont have "favorite" as much as i have "the ones i watch every now and again".
"Blackbeard vs Al Capone" i might just like the way EpicLloyd speaks as Capone, but i also cant help but be utterly entranced by a shouting match between to middle aged men who want the other one to be scared. Favorite verse: Capone 1 (of 2)
"Wonder Woman vs Stevie Wonder" although this one still has the signature simple and cheesy bar structure that ERB is known for, this is PEAK in terms of performers. nicepeter and epiclloyd (the main guys) are great, but after the first 30 videos it became very easy to detect their individual deliveries and cadences. t-pain is pretty iconic in his performance of stevie wonder. Favorite verse: Stevie 2 (of 3)
"Stephen King vs Edgar Allan Poe" watzky was unfortunately cursed by god to forever look like a little twerp, but he works with it really well and it fits very well for the real-life twerp that was Edgar Allan Poe. and zach sherwin is always a charismatic force to be reckoned with, his uniquely clever writing style and flow shining. Favorite verse: Stephen King 2 (of 2)
"Steven Spielberg vs Alfred Hitchcock" this one's just good fun. its a little battle royale among a bunch of really famous pop directors. i know that the character-appropriate cgi background is a staple of post-season-one ERB, but i really appreciate these ones specifically for some reason. Favorite verse: Alfred Hitchcock
"Kryptonite" this isnt an ERB and is in fact a completely unrelated normal rap song but i was listening to this one today. my oldest brother listened to a lot of rap when i was young and this one was one of his favorites. i remember listening to it all the time when he would drive me to blockbuster to rent gamecube games. i didnt listen to it for a few decades, but i looked it up on youtube a few weeks ago on a whim and i really liked it a lot. it's all about smoking weed which i love doing, and the chorus is really catchy, plus the instrumental is one of my favorites. Favorite verse: Big Boi 1 (verse 3)
"The Joker vs Pennwise" both rappers somehow look like different versions of matpat in heavy makeup, and joker works in a natural "we live in a society" which i like. i think that's all i got for this one. Favorite verse: Joker 3 (of 3, because this is the one with the we live in a society bar, but all of his bars were actually really solid)
"Tony Hawk vs Wayne Gretzky" another one for the "zach sherwin is one of the best thing ERB has" pile. he delivers in a quaint (if a bit cartoonish) canadian accent a scathing comparison between the actual real-life achievements and significance and skill between the two actual athletes. which i think is very spiritually fulfilling considering the name of the series. Favorite verse: Wayne Gretzky 2 (of 2)
"James Bond vs Austin Powers" might unfortunate austin only gets 1 verse because it's far and away the best part of this one. aside from a clever pussy eating joke near the end between the two feuding bonds. Favorite verse: Austin Powers
"Nice Peter vs EpicLLOYD 2" this is an actual real-life catharsis event between the main two artists behind ERB who seemingly put very real and deep-seated creative and personal frustrations they have with each other into their verses, plus a very real burnout over this series that they put all their money on being The Big One, creating a legitimately tense feeling in watching their performances. for reference, Peter rips on how Lloyd is an alcoholic and is unwilling to let the channel grow or change, and Lloyd talks about how Peter is obsessive and manipulative, referencing a real life issue involving a friend they fucked over in the separate video he appeared in. Favorite verse: Lloyd 1 (of ??? this one is almost a duet at times really)
"Babe Ruth vs Lance Armstrong" this one is specifically here because babe's second verse goes extremely hard in an almost uncharacteristic way for a series with very middling raps in general. Favorite verse: Babe Ruth 2 (of 2)
i could keep going i think but i just scrolled to the top of the list and my face flushed with embarrassment at how long its getting so im gonna end it there. you get the idea.

omg you saw it too!! Can you give us a detailed review too pretty please? But if you prefer not to, I totally understand!!
unfortunately my memory sucks and i saw it over a week ago at this point so i'll try my best 😅
i was sitting in row N so closer to the back and there were two people with ipads taking notes on things to change which was cool because im nosy. however, they didn't make a lot of notations and from what i could read, it mostly had to do with lighting so i don't expect much to change when i go see it again in a few weeks.
i love jamie's work and have seen his productions before but was still taken aback by the darkness at the beginning of the play. you can see tom on the screens (i loved the usage of cameras and screens so they could have full use of the theater) as he's backstage and the heavy breathing put me on edge because i was like
then tom sat at the front of the stage and cried and because he is also such a pretty crier and maybe that's my own weird kink i had the biggest smile on my face. however, the girls in front of me were about to cry with him 😂 tell me this didnt do something for you!
but when fran came out, the people around me sat up. she's phenomenal and i want more people to talk about her performance because she's the star of the show. the way she delivers her lines is so funny and they have a great balance of making it feel current while delivering the original iambic penameter.
then as soon as fran and tom came face to face, the audience audibly reacted. not loud enough to be distracting but enough that you know they were into it. i was in love
lots of shakespeare stuff happened, tom took off that sweatshirt and came out in that vest and multiple people gasped. you can see his abs through the shirt 🫠 and when the nurse squeezes his arm and basically says juliet i get it, that line got a huge laugh. my internal monologue was just
this is a married man this is a married man this is a married man
and then intermission came and i talked to the people around me and this was the conversation
fran is so pretty, talented, funny, amazing, we love her
tom's haircut
tom's arms 😵💫😵💫😵💫
is zendaya the jealous type or would she say yes that's my man (i had to pretend to be very normal about this conversation and said absolutely the jealous type i have no sources 👀)
how do we get to the stagedoor in time to see them (the amount of texts i got about those videos because i am RIGHT THERE with the most in love expression on my face)
the chemistry is unbelievable and we didn't want the show to be over
somehow we made it to the end of the play and i'll be honest, the second half is my least favorite part of the play so it was also my least favorite to watch. i love how silly and romantic the first half can be and the second half is more doom and gloom. i will say, when this exchange happens
"will you speak well of him that killed your cousin?"
"shall I speak ill of him that is my husband?"
my friend and i audibly said "oop" and that got laughs in our section. the best thing about this play was their delivery and when i read r&j, i couldve never imagined how much fun it could be coming from jamie.
anyway, at the end, we rushed out to the stage door and it was insane to see how the street cleared when tom left. and security was the best. really such sweet guys and if you see them being mean to people, they spend the whole time giving instruction is the friendliest way so those people deserved it.
the we got to speak with fran who is the sweetest and signed my customized r&j book with her face on the cover and my programme
can't wait to go see it again in a few weeks. i wish i could have every second imprinted on my brain

Can you tell us more about the mirror man?
i love being mentally ill about that cunt. Brain slop coming right up.
The Basics of What We Know: largely borrowed from queen0fm0nsterz post on the man.
His presence is known within the Nowhere
His presence is also known outside of the Nowhere
He preys on the insecurities of those who gaze into the mirror
He traps his victims on the Other Side of the glass (his domain)
His victims are seemingly unharmed by being taken (by itself)
Let's take another look at the Room he has in VLN
Again, piggybacking off Carols' post, we know the fence represents the mirror itself, and the paper planes represent children.
What I find odd is that even within the Nowhere, the mirror man is Still represented as behind a barrier. As if his domain isn't within the Nowhere itself. Which would explain how he could also sort of cross into the (presumed) waking world through the mirror's reflection.
I don't want to go overboard with metaphysical speculation but magic certainly exists within the Nowhere as shown by the Lady, and with TSoN we know the Nowhere exists on at least a partially separate plane of existence from the waking world.
Onto the actual headcanons I have regarding his origin and behavior.
He once was a magician of sorts. Misdirection and illusion being his specialty, not Real magic like the Ladies of the Maw possessed.
For awhile he worked at the Carnival in the Sky seen in TSoN, half as a Con Artist, but later moved to the Pale City for a more dignified performance (and for better pay/opportunities) (and out of minor guilt).
After the world started going mad, he had a particular Confrontation with the most influential figure in the Pale City. This led to him being banished, not only from the city, but from the world itself.
Said confrontation also transformed him into a parody of himself. Into the monster we know him as today.
The tendrils on his head are in fact Leeches, sprouted from his own insecurities about being a mooch, stemming from his past.
Said insecurities became reality once more after he was forced into the mirror, reaching out for whatever he could, Wherever he could.
I still believe he has Some honor to him, and perhaps a bit of shame regarding his underhanded tactics. Could be why he left the circus, could be why he allowed the surviving boys to change themselves back with the mirror.
He's undeniably petty for what he did to that girl though.
On the topic of mirrors I do not believe he can see out of all of them at once, it's just a matter of being in the right place at the right time. Each mirror is like a door or window to him.
Anyway with his reputation and self image in shambles he picked up work at the carnival again, never stepping foot onto the ship itself but instead working the funhouse mirrors.
Occasionally he'd also deliver transfigured children to the ringmaster to be displayed in a freakshow side tent. Most likely to reaffirm his self worth, no matter the cost.
all in all: rip bozo
(/j i know this didnt kill him since it was more like breaking a window.)

Can You Hear The Music?
I apologise for the cheap title grab, but I was out of ideas! Some preferences for how some of the boys would react to having a musician as a partner, I’m a violinist so this is kind of based around my experiences. Anyway, enjoy!!
Warnings: Consumption of alcohol, I didnt proofread this, sorry!
Tommy Shelby:
He would almost certainly be there to support you. The only thing that would stop him would be if there was some really urgent business he needed to attend to. He would be there, probably sat on the front row so that he had the best view of you that he possible could. He’d turn up after the performance and insist on carrying all of your bags for you, case and all, with a bouquet of roses like an absolute sop. He wouldn’t have a musical bone in his body, so the fact that his partner did never ceased to amaze him and would make him the proudest man on earth. He’d always comment on how brave he thought you were, even though he was the one that actually went out fighting in France.
Neil Lewis:
The first time he heard you play was when you were practicing, thinking that you were in the house alone. Since then, he had taken to sending random bits of film music on YouTube your way asking if you could play it. He’d drop anything to come along to your concerts, he’d always be sat there with a stupid smile on his face and he’d tell anyone that was with him that you were his. He’d be your biggest support and would always rave over you once you came off the stage. I feel like he would end up with a tradition of dragging you back to the video-store and making you watch ‘The Red Violin’ or something after, probably with a couple of beers, to celebrate.
Robert Fischer:
If you were with this man then there is no doubt that he would have gifted you an instrument worth many thousands of pounds as soon as he saw that you were serious about your music. There would be a rack of designer black dresses and matching heels in your wardrobe as he would insist that you needed a new one for each concert. On the evening he would definitely be there, he’d send flowers ahead of him and you would have to go through the embarrassment of his driver delivering them to your door. He’d probably sit somewhere random in the middle of the crowd so that he didn’t distract you or take any attention away from you if anyone spotted him - he’d be quite conspicuous in a perfect suit having come straight from work. Afterwards he would insist on celebrating, he’d arrange for a car to take you out and there would be a bottle of Moët and a platter of oysters waiting for when you arrived at the bar.
Oppie:
Performing in front of this man would be absolutely terrifying - he isn’t remotely musical but he listens to a lot of classical so he will know if you go wrong. I see him as that annoying person that likes to sit around and watch you practice and gives you irritating pointers when he thinks you are wrong despite having never picked your instrument up before. Even so, he would still be there whenever he could to watch you in concerts. A lot of his friends were musical so you ended up forming little groups with them, especially his brother Frank who was good enough to be a professional on the flute. It would become a fixture that you would get together for informal concerts at the university and then go back to Robert’s for martinis. He was never one to dish out much praise, but he always made sure that he knew he was proud of you when he saw you after a concert. You’d also find the odd piece of fresh sheet music left on your stand when he found something that he thought you would like to play.
Jim (The Delinquent Season):
He would absolutely adore having a musical partner, he’d probably play a bit of piano and guitar himself. He loved to spend an evening mucking about with some fold music together with a glass of wine. Rather than playing classical music like you were more used to Jim would probably have encouraged you to take up some folk music as you were in Ireland. Once a month or so you would try and make it to a folk evening at a local pub, taking your instruments with you. This was your favourite type of performing - informal and relaxed and surrounded by friends with him by your side.

so uh. hi epic the musical fans.
i finally listened to the entirety of the concept album after putting it off for.. way too long. i have Thoughts. i havent been able to stop thinking about it. so basically here's a long post of all my gushing about epic so i don't keep blowing up my friend's texts about it.
-first and foremost: i am insane about the "man vs monster" trope. i love it. just a man was always going to be one of my favorite songs, but listening to it back now that i know the entire story (after listening to monster especially) HOLY SHIT. the moment he killed that baby, he was never going to come home as "just a man". i think that no matter what choice he made, he was never going to relive his old life. either his wife and son died, or he threw away his own innocence and moral ground. of course later he makes greater and greater sacrifices, but there was never going to be any turning back from that. and the fucked up part is he knew his choice before he made it, even when he was pleading with zeus. that final "i'm just a man" as he commits his first truly indefensible act is haunting.
-i really really like athena's piano motif, it feels so good every time it comes in
-i LOVE polyphemus's song. its the first really dark and sinister feeling part of the musical, and it HITS. the deep, cavernous feeling of 600 men holding their breaths when polyphemus first appears. that slow, reverberating eeriness. polyphemus's voice is *perfect.* it's perfectly inhuman and intimidating. you can hear how enormous he is in just the quality of his voice. it's incredible. and it works really nicely into the horror of survive. you really feel the size of the cave, the darkness, the terror the crew is feeling once polyphemus gets the club. its so good musically
-the theme in luck runs out coming back later in mutiny... im unwell
-CIRCE'S VOICE OH MY GOD (i already know im a lesbian there is no need for this) (i would have gone inside too im not even gonna pretend otherwise. eurylochus is a stronger man than i)
-love love love the harp part in wouldn't you like, it's so obvious but still so good. its also just a very fun song and i love hermes's VA, theres so much energy in the performance
-there are other ways is SO good, especially after a few re-listens. there's this latin swing quality to it that works so well. ive said my piece on circe's voice, i don't think i need to explain. i also really like the subversion of expectation. "forgive me", "i'm just a man", and for people who know the og myth, we're bracing ourselves. but then ody pushes away and earns circe's respect. her slyly coming back in with "there are other ways of persuasion" after he mentions poseidon is excellent. i love this version of circe a lot
-the repeat of "all i hear are screams" while in the underworld with his dead crew calling for their captain... lord. also, knowing that the people in the underworld are chanting their last thoughts makes the scenes with polites and ody's mother so much more emotional. his "i took too long" as he embraces his mother, still waiting for him in the grave, is soul-crushing.
-no longer you is one of my favorite moments in the entire thing. every line has a double meaning. and "i see a man who makes it home alive... but it's no longer you" is such a perfect narrative catharsis for all the themes that have been building
-and then its followed by monster, which brings the resolution to just a man that we've been waiting for. when i originally herd the line "ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves", it didnt fully resonate with me, but this song made me realize what it was saying as odysseus, hurting so badly, does the only thing he can to lessen the weight of the guilt. the music makes it feel so big. its a moment of catharsis in its own way. underworld saga is short but it delivers blow after blow
-different beast... damn. this song doesnt hold back any more than odysseus does. i don't think he would have been quite so vengeful if the sirens hadn't impersonated penelope specifically, but they effectively went for the one part of him he still cherished, and that sealed their fate. still, the shrieks of the sirens overtop of "kill them all" is heavy
-scylla. what can i even say about scylla. her voice is *haunting*. ethereal. inhuman. knowing what's going to happen, this song is an experience i cant even describe. odysseus and scylla both understand, they both know what's happening. "eurylochus, light up six torches" / "deep down, we're only demons from hell". im going to break something
-mutiny bringing back the theme from luck runs out is so big. hearing odysseus being unable to defend himself, only wanting to go home. the real betrayal from eurylochus, having been willing just two sagas ago to abandon everyone and run with him, now willing to kill him to save the rest of the crew. later, with helios's cows, i wholeheartedly agree with the idea that it was a suicide. he isnt stupid. but he's hungry, and tired, and while ody is willing to become the monster to get home, eury isnt. to him, this is the easiest way.
-the echoes of the same pleas from the horse and the infant, again in thunder bringer. but he knows he's going to do it. i dont think its about penelope and telemachus anymore, not really. its about everything they represent. they are a destination. closure. normalcy. an anchor. he has to get to them because they are all that's stopping him from admitting what he's done
-TELEMACHUS
-i understand why some people dont like the time jump and sudden change of perspective, its definitely jarring and a bit weird, but i also think its the best you can do with something as nonlinear and oddly structured as the odyssey.
-little wolf is such an earworm, ive been finding myself chanting "fight little wolf, fight little wolf". athena's piano cue as she appears to help out telemachus is a deeply satisfying moment. i LOVE the theme coming back in, but this time with athena's voice overriding the suitors', and "little wolf" going from a taunt to an endearment. i also just need to say... antinous's voice. vile character but damn can that guy sing
-ok ok fine i see why god games is so popular
-not sorry for loving you... hm. im torn on this song. i think its good at portraying calypso as a sympathetic abuser. and i dont think theres an issue with sympathetic abusers. but i guess it might have worked better if we saw odysseus's point of view instead of just hers. it feels a little weird focusing on the perpetrator rather than the victim is all. i think its possible to do both effectively and this doesnt really. pretty song though
-dangerous is so good though. its so catchy and exhilarating and i was so happy to hear from hermes again
-i do have a question though. what's the deal with the wind bag? i didn't fully get it earlier either, i didnt see why eurylochus used the last of it behind odysseus's back, that didn't make sense to me. and now i dont know why hermes gave it to him. he says the gods went through a lot of pain to get it, but *why?* if using it dooms his hope to get home, why would they give it to him? i know he ends up using it to save himself but like. it's not like they knew that would happen. what was the plan here?
-anyway. get in the water into 600 strike is powerful. i dont have much commentary but i really like the questions and answers posed by these songs. and "how will you sleep at night?" / "next to my wife." is pretty iconic
-PENELOPE OH MY GOD
-the reprise of the "waiting, waiting" theme, oh god im not ok
-hold them down is EXCELLENT, its so murky and revolting and antinous's voice SELLS it
-the song odysseus being from the suitors' point of view was an excellent choice. ody becomes, thematically, one of the monsters. the choir chanting "od / dy / se / us" is powerful and heavy and terrifying. the music is so good at making you feel like one of the suitors, in the dark, weaponless, with the king circling you and picking you off one by one. he really feels like a stalking predator. after 20 years of nothing but hardships and gods and monsters trying to keep him from home, now that he's here theres nothing any of them could hope to do to save themselves. the king has come home and he's PISSED
-"show yourself" and then the piano doing a cascading chromatic scale... this musical is so good
-i just listened to would you fall in love with me again for the second time. fuck me. its worse than the first time. (as in the emotions. not the quality.) i love that she asks him what he did, and he tells her. that says so much about them both. she isn't afraid to hear it, she just wants to know what he's been through. and he recounts every awful thing he did, without hesitation, trusting in her judgment completely. he's finally able to unpack all that trauma. and she just listens. she challenges him when he claims to no longer be the same man. this whole time, he's only had himself, his own narrative, his belief that he's become a monster. and now she pushes back, and says "i look at you and i still see the man i married". and then a soaring reprise of the theme from just a man comes in.... i need it known that i feel very distinctly not ok.
so i just spent 2 hours going back through to write all of that when i could have just said: it is VERY GOOD. im going to be thinking about this for a while still.
#epic the musical#my posts#i did this instead of my homework btw. and also instead of eating breakfast#so you guys better appreciate it /j

Now we know what intimate scenes he did with actress
HE DIDNT TOUCHED HER ONCE... NOT ONCE
This is the 3rd time anons/ot7s expected something but failed.. so can we give it up already ? Idk what's in future but as of now he's definitely not gonna do any scenes where he have to get lovey dovey with the Co-star. Idk if it's because he's too awkward for that or won't do it because he have some 'no touching and acting' policy with his partner (🤡) but yeah he's there to sing, dance and make song reach to audience. Not deliver a whole acting performance. Saying that, his acting definitely improved a lot from SEVEN.
Okay, hold on... I did NOT notice that at all 😳😲😯😮😳 I really did think he ran his hand down her cheek. Well damn!
I got yet another ask speculating about how he would make out with this woman and I deleted it ASAP. Didn't even finish reading. Its just....
I keep saying people really don't know JK. Especially those who consider him their fav. They know him the least. JK had a chance to make SEVEN the MV where he was all over his love interest. And if it was a Western Artist that had been given that song he would have definitely gone that route since the song is so damn sexual. But alas! JK turned the MV into pure comedy.
JK wasn't going to do nothing with the women in his MVs. And neither was V for that matter since I saw comments about that too. Matter of fact the person who people least expected, Jimin, was the one who had women touching all over him. 🤭🤭🤭 But he was telling a story, getting a message across so that made sense.
These guys aren't gonna start acting a certain way just coz y'all and your y/n fantasies want them to
How long have u been a fan of BTS? More than a month? Well then, bitch act like it!!
